Starting point is 00:02:16 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's time for the good news. Her name's Brooke. She was working at her desk in Champaign, Illinois, when her son Clayton surprised her by walking into our workplace after returning from overseas 378 days. Wow. Dang. He had been away from more than a year, told his family he'd be unavailable because of a filled operation, which is what kept the secret.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Brooke said she had no idea. He was home until he appeared in her office and spoke to her directly. The surprise came 378 days after they were apart, and he said, seen his mom again, helped. these stories are always great WCIA Although they're starting now To make fake content of these Not bad
Starting point is 00:03:10 But you can go And there are places where you can rent The inside of an airplane And they always look a little fake And so there's one video That's gone super viral Of a dad Sitting on a plane
Starting point is 00:03:24 And his son His military son puts his foot up On his dad's foot He's sitting behind him And he takes his outside leg And he puts it on them And the dad's like Hey man
Starting point is 00:03:33 man, get your foot off my footrest. I've seen this. And he doesn't look back. So dumb. And he like pushes it off. And the guy's like, he, he, he, he, and he puts it back up again. The guy goes, get off a foot rest. And then he's ready to, like, fight the guy turns out.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Oh, my son. So fake. It's fake. It is fake. You can't tell that. Dude, you are an old lady on AI. You watch that and said, oh, that's real? Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Oh, my gosh. Why would they make that up? This is a reunion. Even the airplane looks fake. And also, you think two people are going to be sitting on like a Southwest flight. and he's not going to realize his son is directly behind him. It's not even like you can hide anywhere on the plane. This is so dumb.
Starting point is 00:04:09 Like, I'm not thinking too much about it. I see the video and I'm like, that's funny. That's cool. That's sweet. And I move on, thinking it's real. Like, how does he get on the plane without his dad seeing him or his dad get on the plane and sit in the row right? He had his whole military uniform on. So you guys are just assuming it's fake.
Starting point is 00:04:26 No, he's fake. The whole thing's fake. It's so stupid. It's like AI videos. So is it AI or it's rented and acted out and fake? No, it's not AI, but you can now rent those places to... Okay. So now we have multiple things.
Starting point is 00:04:41 That you see online, on airplanes. Fights? Yeah, just look at the airplane and you can tell if they're fake or not. It's too much, man. I did make an AI video and I just sent it to Mike. I haven't... I want to show you guys it because I haven't watched it all the way through yet. I put it through.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Is there a way, Mike, you can show that? I want you guys to watch this. because I haven't seen it in its full capacity yet. Well, don't tell Eddie it's AI. He may believe. I'm not here he did. You're going to know, obviously, this is fake, but I want you to see this. This is how interesting AI videos could be. So I'll wait until you pull it up.
Starting point is 00:05:17 But yeah, if you get on Facebook, and again, Facebook, dangerous, there's so much what they call slop. And it seems like everybody in country music fights with someone from the view. There's so many of those where it's like Ella Langley goes on the view. and gets right in the face of Whoopi Goldberg. And it's like an AI image. And everybody's like, that's all I'm talking about. Whoopi sucks. It's all just to get engagement.
Starting point is 00:05:41 I almost sent Amy one. I saw that it was one of those prisoner ones. It was a prisoner sees his baby for the first time. And the guard is so moved, he lets him go in and hug him. And I'm like, Amy, here's your videos. Here's your videos. Okay, watch this here. This is me taking selfies with famous country artists.
Starting point is 00:05:56 That's Hank Sr. So I'm walking to take a, take a, with Hank Senior. Who is that? Johnny Cash. Me and Johnny Cash taking a selfie together. Okay. Now who is this? Brooks and Dunn.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Take a selfie together. Okay, watch this. John Denver. Dude, this is crazy. Watch this, watch this, watch this. Oh, Dolly. Okay. Me taking a selfie with?
Starting point is 00:06:20 Ray Charles, they were all there. Yep, we had one. It's a great night. It's crazy. Watch this. Willie. Dude, that's crazy. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Kenny Rogers. Boom. There you go. That's so cool. Me and all my country music heroes is taking selfies. You know, everybody looks real except you.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Yeah. But you don't look that off. It's weird. Like when you walk, it's not you, and then when it stays still, hey, it's Bobby. He's not really walking.
Starting point is 00:06:47 He's like skipping. We're at the opera. He's like gallops. I'm in a suit. Isn't that crazy though? That is crazy. Because that's Hank senior obvious. How did you do that?
Starting point is 00:06:55 Yeah, how was that? Right. What do you mean? Meeting them. It was so packed. As you can see. see it's such a quick picture. But I saw it being done
Starting point is 00:07:05 with a bunch of like famous wrestlers and so I just saw a YouTube video on how to do it. Oh, they did Ronnie Dirty. The AI kicks, Brooks look way younger than Ronnie. Dolly looks like Dolly. When you're moving, it's hard for it to be exactly right. When you get still, it kind of goes back into
Starting point is 00:07:21 what it looks like. Ray Charles posing for you. Willie. He looks a little like Zach Efron. That's fun, huh? Yeah, that's awesome. So you can do that with whomever you want. But is that how crazy I had?
Starting point is 00:07:35 But see, if I saw that, I would be like, that's a guy. Well, yeah, because it happened to the birthday. Oh, my gosh. Well, not all of them, but. Anyway. No. No. I just text Mike.
Starting point is 00:07:45 That's awesome. I don't know why. I was just feeling that, Mike. It's awesome. All right. And you're not going to post that? I'm going to. Oh.
Starting point is 00:07:53 You have to. It took me a couple mess ups to get it right. Like what messed up? Sometimes it doesn't look like them. Oh. And you? Well, that looks. really like as good as I'm going to get it on me
Starting point is 00:08:04 it looks like me. You do me a favor. When you post it can you say this is not real? Just so people know. Any comments? Even though we've been through this, he's like no. He's like wow how was I not there? All right, cool. Just be careful everybody. If there's anything that titillates you on the internet, it's probably
Starting point is 00:08:21 AI. I don't really. Or fake or scripted. I kind of really just like my home. And if anybody's fine with anybody from the view on Facebook. real. It's fake. It didn't really happen. It's always an image of like two people's fingers pointed in the faces or leaning over that view
Starting point is 00:08:38 table. All right, there you go. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. This Portland firefighter had been living with advanced chronic kidney disease and
Starting point is 00:08:55 Dr. Karen Dowick, retired doctor, never met him and game of kidney. That's awesome. The connection formed after The doctor was helped by firefighters from his former station following a biking accident. Wow. What's funny? Just because anytime we do these stories now, and he like, sort of like, he looks up into
Starting point is 00:09:16 the sky, like, you know, like, nothing to see. I don't see me. Nothing to see here. That's a cool story, dude. Yeah. She later learned of his need for a donor when her original intended recipient became eligible for another transplant option. The surgery was successful.
Starting point is 00:09:32 So she was helped so she wanted to help him. And Eddie, she's, I think, older than you. Yeah. Well, that's awesome, man. But you keep saying you can't do it because of age. No, I'm just saying this year I'm being serious and I'm not going to say things that I don't mean. So that's a really cool story. Oh, so you're moving off of you're going to do the things you've said.
Starting point is 00:09:48 You're just not going to say it anymore. I don't even remember what I said. No, no, you do. You're not being serious about that. So you're no longer saying anything about donating. I mean, the first thing I ever, ever said was that'd be cool. I'd like to do that someday. And then we said if you'd like to do that someday, why don't you?
Starting point is 00:10:06 Yes, someday. You said, I wish I could do that. Someday, you could do that. It would be cool to do something like that. Yes. And you're no longer saying that. I just want to step away from that statement, you know? Just step away.
Starting point is 00:10:17 He's serious now. I love your story. I think that's awesome. But I'm just going to step away from it. All right, that is from KPTV. That is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win.

Starting point is 00:11:43 Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
Starting point is 00:12:21 It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot in luck. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct?
Starting point is 00:13:38 I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Alesspian, Michael Marantini. My mind was blown.
Starting point is 00:13:58 I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Starting point is 00:14:28 With producer Eddie. Sarah is a lifeguard in Florida She's watching over the beach Just a normal day Everyone's playing in the sand People in the water Then she notices this paraglider It's a motorized paraglider
Starting point is 00:14:43 You know it's got wings But a little motor And a guy controlling it She sees it And it just The wind takes it In one direction Makes it spiral
Starting point is 00:14:52 And here comes the paraglider Straight down in the ocean He falls out of it No he stayed in it Oh it crashed But the whole thing crashed down in the ocean And so she quickly
Starting point is 00:15:02 responds. She gets on the radio, says, I'm headed out to help this paraglider. I'm going to need help. She gets her surfboard, paddles out to this guy. It's a 52-year-old man in there. But when she gets there, this is crazy. A snorkeler is already out there trying to help him get untangled. So the snorkeler happened to be in that area where he fell. And he's tangled. A crash and a tangle in the water. So the lifeguard gets there with her partner. They get the guy on the board, swimming back to shore. And by that time, paramedics are there. He's good. He said he only had minor cuts and scrapes. Was it the wind? Like he didn't know it was going to be so windy.
Starting point is 00:15:34 The wind just took him out of control and he just went straight down. I'm going to pass on paragliding. It looks so cool. It does look cool. Oh, it looks awesome. For someone else to do. But it also looks like it's safe because you got a little motor and wings. I mean, that's an airplane.
Starting point is 00:15:47 But it's not because it's just you and the air. It's probably safe, generally speaking, if you do it the right way. It ain't for me. What about parasailing? Have you guys done that? I've done it. Oh, is that the one behind the boat? Yeah, that's the one with a parachute that's going to be.
Starting point is 00:16:02 being pulled by the boat. I did it in Mexico. I thought I was going to die. Because it was in Mexico or because the pair is ailing. Everything involved, but it was our honeymoon. I thought, well, we need to do something fun. So we did it and we lived. I hated it.
Starting point is 00:16:15 I would never do it again. The harness is all weird. Uh-uh. No. I was like, this could be it. I remember when we started to take off and like this could be how we go. Yeah, how high do you, like, the boat just takes off and then you just start lifting? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:26 That's crazy. You didn't like it at all? No. It's not my thing. It didn't feel safe. Was the boat, was the boat like super safe? Sure. felt fine. We also went
Starting point is 00:16:33 like snorkeling. I almost thought that we were going to die there too. Mexico? The whole trip was just yes. Did Waxonejo? She trusted nothing because it was Mexican. They went to dinner? I felt like we were going to die there. That was scary. Yeah, it was a risky trip.
Starting point is 00:16:49 All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay home there's something good. Stephen Angelini is asleep in the middle of the night. Middle River, Maryland.
Starting point is 00:17:04 And he hears a pop. And he wakes him up. He's like, what was that? Checks his phone, the ring doorbell camera, the house across the street is on fire. He throws on his slippers, runs down the stairs, out the front door,
Starting point is 00:17:20 and he sees the mom and two children in the second story window. And he's like, drop me the kids. Drop me the kids. She drops one boy, boom. Catches him. Drops the same.
Starting point is 00:17:33 second boy, boom, catches them. Then the neighbors arrive with a ladder. They throw it up to the house and they help the woman climb down from the second story. Everyone's safe. Boom. That was the pop.
Starting point is 00:17:47 That was the pop that woke him up in the middle of the night. Oh, no, the boom was him catching the kids. I think you forget where your boom's heard. Yeah, what was the pop? Oh, you're right. Yeah, yeah. The boom was the cat.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Yeah, the boom was. He never addressed the pop though. No, the pop was, he said he heard a Lord pop and it woke him up. He doesn't know. It was the fire, obviously, crackling. Do you think it's more like a bach? It says he heard a loud pop. Ah, got it.
Starting point is 00:18:11 That's why I did pop. And he said that he's not a hero. No. I think God puts me in a situation to help other people. I did what I would want anyone else to do for my family. I still think it's a heroic guy. I still think it's heroic. But I do like the fact that he put his slippers on.
Starting point is 00:18:27 It was like he ran across the street in his slippers. Man, in that point you don't have time to put on slippers. Well, I would, though, because that's sense. to defeat. You can't just slip them right on. I can't even walk in the driveway. Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow. I can't save anyone. I'm going to go back in.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Ow, ow, ow, ow. All right, that's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th.
