James Fester threw it out of a van because he didn't want us drinking it. For more games with names, visit the Iheart Radio app or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, I'm Bob Pittman, chairman and CEO of IHard Media, and I'm kicking off a brand new season of my podcast, Math and Magic, stories from the frontiers of marketing. Math and Magic takes you behind the scenes of the biggest businesses and industries while sharing insights from the smartest minds in marketing. Coming up this seasonal Math and Magic, CEO of Liquid Death Mike Sassario. People think that creative ideas are like these light bulb moments. happen when you're in the shower.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Where it's really like a stone sculpture. You're constantly just chipping away and refining. Take to Interactive CEO, Strauss Selnick, and our own chief business officer, Lisa Coffey. Listen to Math and Magic on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
Starting point is 00:02:00 We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. You can have opinions, you can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's time for the good news. me something good. Around the room, Amy. One of my son's teachers said that he is one of the highlights of her career.
Starting point is 00:02:36 Career, not even year. Teaching him. And I was just like, oh. That's an honor. Yeah. He says hi every morning, says her net, like her, you know, hi miss, da-da-da, you know, eager, kind, like, thoughtful. She just loves his energy. And I'm like, oh, gosh, this is just the great.
Starting point is 00:02:55 thing to hear. Do you feel like she just throws that around? No, I did think that. Ah, you say this to all the parents. But. So did you ask around to other parents? No, I didn't. I don't think you want to do that. Because if you get a couple of yeses, you're like, oh, God. But it was a meeting we had. I mean, and my ex-husband was there, too. I think she genuinely was saying it. Like, I think the vibe we got because I sort of said something to been after like, ah, she probably says that to everybody. And he's like, I don't think so. And it's like, yeah, you're right. She did, she was like getting up. She had to leave the meeting early. And she was like, before I leave, I just wanted to say this to y'all. Oh, wow. And so I was like, yeah, that seemed pretty legit. Can I give you a tell me something good
Starting point is 00:03:34 about you? Yeah. Yeah, take it, Amy. Yes, yes, yes. Why would you even consider not taking it? Well, no, I wasn't, I wasn't considering taking it. I was trying to think, what in the world could this be? So, are your teeth fake, like mine? Yeah, why? Oh, they are. They're great. We don't sit this close. Oh, you all have fake teeth? Both of y'all do? Well, we kind of got them around the I didn't know if they still were just, I don't know. I don't know how many you got done. Yeah. They look great.
Starting point is 00:03:59 We don't normally sit this close. Our desk are a little further apart. But in this studio we're close. Her teeth like A plus. Yeah. Thanks. So that's a compliment. Oh, thanks.
Starting point is 00:04:07 Have you had to replace any years? Yeah. Me too, man. Yeah. I've had to have some, I mean, we go to the same dentist too. So yeah, I think he's used to. He's probably like, what are you all doing? We're like, I don't know, grinding our teeth.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Yeah. But I think it's just part of what comes with it. And had I known. known that going into it, I probably would have, like, I didn't realize how sometimes annoying it was going to be. Oh, I do it again, a heartbeat for me. Got terrible teeth. And when I was able to get veneers, get my teeth fixed, 10 out of 10 times. I thought you were about to tell me, like, I was a good mom or something. You're disappointed in the compliment that I just gave to you? The teeth was a good compliment. I'm just sitting close to your face, and I, you've smiled a couple
Starting point is 00:04:51 I'm like, dang, her teeth are rocking. Well, I think that my teeth probably look also a little different because I put self-tanner on. So my face is tanner, so my teeth are looking. No, just take the compliment. You don't have to find an excuse that the compliment works. Okay, well, shout out, Jeff, or Dr. Trimbley. Okay, that's all. You got to make everything weird.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Just accept the compliment. You know, I know. You're supposed to take a compliment and say thank you and then go, pause, pause, pause, pause. And the pause is where you say nothing. What's wrong with you guys? Like, take a compliment. Like, I would love a compliment. No, thank you.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Kat and I do this on our podcast. Thank you. Yeah. Pause, pause, pause, pause, pause. Then move on to the next thing. And move on. Yes. It is so hard.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Okay, I'll go. I got a couple. Yeah. lot better. I like their coach. We were a little too much last night. We're getting ready to go into the SC tournament and the NCAA tournament. Pretty excited about that. I hate that it's an 8 p.m. game. Those games kill me because Caitlin's parents are in town. That's part two. They're in town because I'm going on the cruise. And so they're going to be, she's not going to stay by herself at the house. And so they're going to be there while I'm gone. And so I love it when they're there.
Starting point is 00:06:16 So we went to dinner last night, had a great time. And they just do better at staying up later. So I was up with their dad watching the game. But I was just, struggling. It's like 10 o'clock. But I really like it when they're in town. So I'll be sad when they leave. I won't get, I mean, she'll spend most time with them. But when I get back, they're leaving immediately. So that'll suck. But this segment's not called tell me something suck, right? No, it's not. Tell me something. Good. Got it, got it, got it. So those are my two good things. Arkansas one last night. I really enjoy when Caitlin's parents are around. I don't get to spend much time with them because we're going to leave and they're just going to be here. But
Starting point is 00:06:48 that's it. Oh, they got anything else. I didn't get bad. indigestion after having chips and salsa last night. That's a good thing. That's really good. Sometimes I get, it burns. From the chips and salsa? Yeah. Where'd you get your salsa from?
Starting point is 00:07:00 Well, we go to a good place. We go to Mays. What's that? M-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E. Yeah. Oh, like corn? M-A-I-Z. M-A-I-Z.
Starting point is 00:07:09 I thought you were, the way you said, I thought it was M-A-Y-S, but it's in corn. M-A-I-Z? M-A-Z-E. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. See, I think with something like that, spelled like that, you should probably
Starting point is 00:07:22 pronounce it at maize. Yeah, because I thought you said Mays, like... Mays, yeah. It's a little disrespectful. But it's corn. But it's no win for like a white guy
Starting point is 00:07:31 because if I go Mariz, you're like, stop, why are you trying to do that? That's not real. Why you're doing a fake accent? Or if I go maize, you're like, oh, you're a hillbilly. Say it.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Oh, so maybe it's no E. It used to be a food truck. Yeah, I don't think it's an E on it, dude. Maze da la Pida. Oh, wow. Corn of the life? Is that what it means? They have a whole corn wall in there.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Oh, just corn? Yeah. Yeah. But maize the corn has an E on it. Oh, it does? M-I-Z-E. And this just has no E on it, Amy? Bro, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Mez de la Vida, no. Okay. Is that a good place, though? I love it. Check it out. Yeah, it's really good. We go there a lot. Okay, that's me.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Eddie, you? Speaking of food, last night, me and my family, we ate like kings last night. Thanks to you. Dude, I don't know, like what was. It was the best brisket I've ever had in a long, long, long time. It is so good. But let me tell you, you gave it to me yesterday at work. And I didn't, I couldn't get out of the building without people saying, can I have a little bit? Can I have a little bit of that? Can't a little bit of that? I had to, at one point, I had just be like, I'm going to the car. I'm leaving.
Starting point is 00:08:36 No more brisket for anyone. We're done. Well, I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I think I would have enjoyed it more. I had to cook it. But, I mean, I just sliced it up and threw it in the oven for 15 minutes and it was ready to go. I couldn't do that because it was basically frozen when I got it. There's no slicing it up. I put it in for 75 minutes at 225 to let it do its thing. And it's perfect. It wasn't dry at all. It was just delicious. I prepared it perfectly. You did. Thank you. Yes. Do you guys see the whole thing? Yes. Except the little piece which I brought for Brandon. Yeah, he gave me in my, well, whatever that contraption is. It's a dish. And I brought it back. Dude, that is high quality
Starting point is 00:09:11 dish. So I said, if I didn't get it back, my wife's going to be tick. It's high quality. And there's one piece of meat in it. I just thought he was. He was like giving me a piece of meat from it. So put it in my car and he was like, that wasn't for you. Yeah, it's for someone else. I'm glad you liked it. I gave you even the good part of it, like the big fat part. Yes, the point.
Starting point is 00:09:26 People were saying you were saying that wrong on Instagram. I said tip. Okay, so you were saying that wrong. I said tip. It's really called the point. You know, people were getting me on because I have a bobby cast up today with Luke Come. So hope you guys check it out.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Either podcast or go to Netflix and watch it. And we were doing a bit because it came up. He was talking about somebody. He's like a really good dude. I said, let's do the Mount Rushmore of Good Dudes. and later we did we did good women too because I didn't want people
Starting point is 00:09:50 to get all butt hurt I don't want to go full Olympic team on me you know I mean got to so we did both and so we did good dudes and he said
Starting point is 00:09:57 Jordan Davis and I said Keith Urban and then he said Vince Gill and I said Luke Bryan and in the comments on my Instagram when I posted that clip
Starting point is 00:10:05 they were like Keith Urban yeah right he's a good dude I'm like because somebody's got something happening in their personal life
Starting point is 00:10:14 a divorce We don't know the relationship dynamic. It does not mean they're not a good dude. That part was crazy. Damn. The other part that a little bit irritated me. This should be telling me something sucked. The other part that irritated me, I had posted a clip yesterday, a teaser, and it was, it's always something leading into it.
Starting point is 00:10:34 So when you see the clip, it's really the meat of it. And we were talking about just comparison in general. And I brought up, hey, when you're compared to Morgan Wallen. Oh, I was just talking about the tiers in country music. There's a top tier. Morgan Wall and Luke Combs, Zach Bryan. And everybody's like, Zach Bryan, he doesn't the same tier.
Starting point is 00:10:51 And I can understand if you have limited knowledge, you would think that. But Zach Bryan outsells them both performing live. Each of those three have something they're better than the other two at. But they're the three biggest. Like, Zach Brian has the world record for the biggest show ever at an outside stadium,
Starting point is 00:11:06 which is the big house. And Michigan? Yeah, sold the whole thing. Wow. So that's the world record. Like beat a George Strait record of a show. But Zach Bryan sells massive shows, massive tickets. Morgan and Luke have a bunch of number ones.
Starting point is 00:11:20 But they're the only three acts that do football stadiums that are modern artists. Kenny still does, but Kenny started in the 90s. You wouldn't consider him, even though he is modern. You wouldn't consider him one of the new modern artists. And so, Zach Brian, it's just because you have a limited knowledge. Don't get in my feed and start commenting crap because you have a limited knowledge. I'm not even a big Zach Bryan fan, and I can admit he's that top tier. So tell me something sucks.
Starting point is 00:11:45 That suck. People think they know more than they do. It's a different segment though, but yeah. It's fine. Is that one we should do? Tell me something. Tell me something. Tell me something. Please. Once a week, would you tell me something suck?
Starting point is 00:11:58 A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clever Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I
Starting point is 00:12:15 ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast. It's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever
Starting point is 00:12:54 you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and how host of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of
Starting point is 00:13:44 uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth, with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about, like, I'm going to get rich. That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong
Starting point is 00:14:36 financial legacy for your family. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to money and wealth. Listen to money and wealth. with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Daniel Jeremiah. And I'm Greg Rosenthal. And this is 40s and free agents.
Starting point is 00:15:01 The games may be over, but the NFL never stopped. This is my favorite part of the calendar. Yeah, mine too, Greg, free agency, the combine, the NFL draft, ProDays, trades. This is where teams reshape their future. This is where Daniel Jeremiah makes his mind. On 40s and free agents, we break down every move that actually matters. From my draft evaluations, mock drafts, and team fits.
Starting point is 00:15:23 To my top 101 free agents and how real rosters are built, cap space, contracts, and all the tough decisions included. You got quarterbacks on the move? We got teams rebuilding. It's hope season. Yeah, absolutely. It's hope season. We'll tell you what's real, what's noise, and what it means for your favorite team. Smart analysis, real conversations every week.
Starting point is 00:15:46 I'm not about the smart, but definitely analysis. Listen to 40s and free agents on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Tell me something good lunchbox. Yeah, Survivor started last night, which it was a three-hour season premiere. Wow. Yeah. Oh, my God. That's like the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Yeah. I mean, this is the Super Bowl of Survivor, season 50. And then tonight, I believe it's tonight, season finale of Traders. before you eat by castle. They don't put that show out all at once on Netflix? No, it is one a week. Wow. I didn't know Netflix did anything one a week.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Well, it's on, maybe it's on Peacock. Oh, it's not on Netflix. There we go. I just assumed it was on Netflix. Good points. Anybody else watch Traders? It's a good show, man. It's very entertaining.
Starting point is 00:16:41 We just caught up, so I'm happy that season finale, we started at late middle of the season. There were a lot of episodes out so we can kind of boom, boom, boom, boom. And then tonight's season finale, and you will find out for a, are you, before you leave my castle, tell me, are you a faithful or a traitor?
Starting point is 00:16:58 Who does that? That's the, Alan, he's the host. Got it. He's a really good host. Really good. I wanted to fact check myself, Zach Bryan performed the history making first ever show at Michigan Stadium
Starting point is 00:17:10 for the largest crowd in the United States with an audience of 112,408 people. Gosh, that's a lot. So festivals don't count. because it's built an audience for many, many artists at once. But yeah, he has that biggest show ever. Zach Bryan? What was George Straits at Kyle Stadium?
Starting point is 00:17:27 I can look. Or Kyle Field. Kyle Field. This article here is Zach Bryan of 112,408. George Strait was 110-905. Okay. In 2024. So George had it and then Zach beat it.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Because I remember George did, like that was part of him doing. that was part of him like breaking a record. The record was previously held by George Strait, who drew 110,000, 905, and Kyle Field in 2024. He and he previously held out number three spot with 104,000. The previous number two was the Grateful Dead's 1977 concert at Raceway Park in New Jersey with 107. Dang. Yeah, Michigan Stadium is the largest stadium in the U.S. and the third largest in the world. Anyway, I was just annoyed.
Starting point is 00:18:12 People are like, you know what you're talking about. It's Donnie Kruger. you're so dumb that you just think you're right at everything. That's how I feel with a small selection of those comments. Tell me some suck rocks. I've got really in that mood today. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:18:31 That was Tell Me Something Good. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Madison Ayers has built a home-based candle business called Candle PopCo and has filled more than a thousand orders in the past five months. By the way, she's eight. Oh, eight years old?
Starting point is 00:18:50 That's it? Oh, yeah. She selects scents and jars and melts to wax and sells her products to people and online a little bit and at local farmers markets. That's where it took off. She said she started the business after seeing her older brother earn money by helping neighbors. And now she works a couple hours a day making candles. Dang. Nice. She's saving her profits to buy a car when she turns 16.
Starting point is 00:19:14 K-S-A-T. that money shouldn't last until she's 16. Some should, but you're eight, kid. Go buy. Enjoy it a little bit. Yeah, go bite. Go get some candy or something. Ice cream.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Save some, but not all. You'll have a car quickly if you're selling like this. Great story. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. It's time for the good news. With Lunchbox. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:19:38 A mother in Florida is driving down the highway where there are three kids in the car when all of a sudden, ah! She has a seizure. behind the wheel, swerves off the road, car into a canal. Luckily, Casey Curtis was in front of her, saw it, pulled over, jumped out of his car, dove in the water. Wow.
Starting point is 00:20:02 And the eight-year-old kid was holding the siblings above the water. He grabbed the three kids, got them out of the water. Then he held the Florida mother above water when paramedics arrived and helped get her out of the water. Amazing. Yeah, that's crazy. He was putting his life at risk. Then he wanted to save all of them. And then also, Lunchbox's impression of a seizure.
Starting point is 00:20:22 Yeah, what was that? Ah! I don't know what a seizure does. I don't think it does that. No, we just want it because that's a crazy story. Just in general. Like, I feel like you feel like pain. Like, does it hurt?
Starting point is 00:20:33 Like a seizure? I don't know if there's a real sound. If there was, I don't want to make it. Yeah, I don't think there's a sound really. I think it's more visual. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, like it was just. Like a, that, da, da, da.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Yeah. Yeah. Because her body's freaking out. Oh, hold on. Yeah. See, it's visual. Yeah. No sound there much of us.
Starting point is 00:20:54 That's okay. But that's a great story. And she said, I know you don't want to be a hero, but you're a hero of my life. I just want to thank God and you. She told Casey when she finally, when Casey came by the hospital to visit her. What I would like for Casey to be like, I never said I want to be a hero. He does the opposite. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:21:11 I want to be. I want, yeah, yeah, yeah, no, please, please, please. Great story. is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
