We did beat them in improv.
You had an improv against the team?
Yes, we would pull up their schools would be there with signs for us.
It's competition.
What you would win.
is a bottle of gold shlogger.
James Fester threw it out of a van

Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans,
a show about who we are and who we become.
life makes other plans. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
You can have opinions, you can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own
program. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
It's time for the
the good news.
Tell me something good.
Okay, I'm going to challenge all of you right now.
We didn't talk about this beforehand.
Give me something good that happened in the last day.
Exactly.
Amy just dropped her chin.
I'll go first.
Okay.
Mentioned it already.
Arkansas won last night basketball.
That's good.
I didn't like the game was 8 o'clock.
It's way too late, but Arkansas had a nice victory.
Watch the game.
I didn't watch it in the bedroom.
I watched it in the guest room because we have that slanted mattress.
so I just hanging out there.
And the TV's to the side, which sucks.
When we design that room, what were we thinking?
I don't know.
The bed lays and the window is in front so you can't put a TV there so it's on the right side.
I think you're thinking how pretty to wake up and look outside.
It's terrible.
To have glasses and have to lay down, you guys don't even know.
No, I don't get it.
I think that's what it is because I can't lay on my side because I want to
wear glasses. And if I take my glasses off, I can't see what's on the television as far as numbers
or who it is, numbers on jerseys. Yeah. So it sucks. And I sent a video to my wife last night.
I was like, look, this sucks. Because she was like, I was like, do you watch the game? She's like,
no, it's 8 o'clock. I'm going to bed. So I went up, we, we did win. That didn't sound like
tell me something good, but. It's good to you, man. I didn't, I haven't slept well for three
nights. Like, I looked at my sleep score and I looked at my, the tracking. There's like a two-hour gap.
All three nights.
Sometimes I don't sleep well, but it's little wake-ups.
I was up for two hours last night, two hours a night before and two hours a night before.
Is it supposed to be telling me something good?
It is, and I'm here.
But you're here.
Okay, that's good.
And I'm healthy.
My thing is that Arkansas won the basketball game last night, and we had a bad game against Auburn recently.
So all good.
I did watch Kentucky freaking luck out and win that game.
There was 1.6 seconds left on the clock.
Full court pass, Christian Leitner style, over the guy at LSU, turns around, hits it with 1.6 seconds left, won the game.
It is wild.
Wait, but that's not good.
I don't care.
Good for Kentucky fans.
They're struggling, though.
All right, Amy.
Okay, so I had a work thing that we were going to,
and there was a wreck on the highway,
and I thought I was going to be late.
And so I guess the good thing is,
I wasn't late, and I trusted the map
because I was having a freak out.
So the good thing is that the bad thing didn't happen?
Right.
Anything just good, though?
That is good.
I was very worried,
because I left with plenty of time,
and then it just changed on me, like crazy.
And so that was a very, very stressful situation.
You had a day yesterday with that.
Yeah?
What do you mean?
Well, and you weren't late.
Are you talking about here?
Yeah.
A work thing?
This is work.
It's not a work thing.
It was like, what a minute were you going to?
Amy texted me before the show started.
She goes, that's not a work thing.
That's literally work.
She goes, hey, I might be later than our call time.
And she sent me a screenshot of traffic.
And I said, well, that's.
saying you're not even going to be late according to that well it's a late a word thing i thought she had like
an event last time to me now early is on time you know like early yeah i want to be early and just cutting
it close and the way that the time kept climbing i just thought this could jump again another five
seven minutes and then i'm screwed that's stressful and i had i had already gotten bad news that morning
i opened an email about something else and so it just sip me over to where i was like i'm going to cry
But I don't think it...
I knew something was up because I said, it's not a big deal.
Because I definitely left with plenty of time.
Literally traffic, an accident, somebody's sick.
Like, oh, that's fine.
And again, I guess you could have faked a screenshot,
but she sent a screenshot and said, I'm just sitting by it.
And it was red.
One that she just saves in her phone.
That's not a bad idea.
Good idea.
No, no, no.
But I was so nervous to trust that he was like, exit, get off the highway now.
And it made me so nervous to get off and go take these back.
roads and I did and sure enough it saved me a little bit but um no that was piled on to like some
other stuff that like I was like I just texted about me I was like I'm gonna cry I was like don't worry
about it's just work you I felt like it was about more than that it was the odd thing about Amy is I
saw her once getting out of a car in a parking garage you park on a weird level no that's a
great level everyone parks in weird levels no that's the first level you have access to stairs
that's the first level where you can just so that way you're not continuing
to loop up in your car. You just park, go in, and you can go up the stairs way faster than you can
drive up. I like the looping. I like just walking through the door and being right here.
Yeah. Oh, no. I like to take the stairs. So what floor do you park on? The first level where
you have access to the stairs. Where do you park? What's your car? What's your address?
What time do you pull up? To be honest, I don't know exactly what floor that is, but it's just the first.
You should know that. Why? I just know. Just in case we're like, we need to get your car. Where is it? I don't know.
Follow the stairs.
The first one you can get off of.
Yes, exactly.
Exactly.
So yeah, that was...
Can you find anything good to happen yesterday?
That was good.
Like, when I started, when I got here and I could relax because I had four minutes to spare, I was like,
feel so much better.
Felt so much better.
Maybe I'm going to have, I have a call today about the email that set me off in the morning.
I know, but if that call goes well, tell me something good.
Could go bad, though.
That's why when you said we were going to do this segment, my jaw dropped.
This is just been a little...
What about Chick-Fle? Did you enjoy that last night?
Was that good?
Yeah, I did.
Like, yeah, chick-flay and had in a while.
It was good.
Yeah, I did.
And I tried my new technique of cutting up the nuggets with scissors.
Did you tell us about this email?
Because I don't remember if you did.
No, it's personal.
Oh.
Okay.
But it's not good.
Oh.
She's referenced it 11 times, but it's personal.
Right.
What I mean is, like, I guess, yeah, I can't say all of the details.
But it's just one of those, you know, adult things.
It's like, oh.
Oh, porn.
No, no.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
But it's like when you want to, it's one of those moments where you just want to, like, stop being an adult.
I wonder why she thought lunchbox is exploding.
It's just, it's just not your mind.
No.
You know what I mean?
Responsibilities.
Like being an adult where you're just like, oh.
The fact that you thought that about his smoothie is the most so weird.
It's like, what?
Like, you'd be the last person.
Well, you didn't take the joke exactly where I was going to take it.
Oh, it was going to go further?
It was going to be.
Let her do it.
No, I'm not going to let it.
Okay, tell me something good.
Eddie, last 24 hours.
Last 24, dude, my kids are surprising me.
They are notorious for having bad grades and, like, not turning stuff in.
Just, like, stupid things like that.
But this last week, and especially yesterday, I checked on all their grades.
Dude, one of them's got all A's.
And that is unheard of.
All A's.
The other one, I picked him up from school.
I said, do you have homework today?
He's like, no, I did it all during recess.
You did all your homework in recess?
Who are these kids?
It's awesome.
And it all started from Sunday.
I had a powwow with a family where, like, we just, everything was out of whack.
And we had a powwow talking about how everyone needs to respect each other's space.
You need to respect your brothers, respect your mom, respect your dad.
And we need to work hard.
We are a hardworking family, dude.
This week has been awesome.
So I'm happy about that.
Solid.
Lunchbox.
Last night, I laid down to go to sleep.
I closed my eyes.
I fell asleep within, you know, 30 seconds.
And I didn't get up one time to pee.
Not one time in the middle of the night that I get up to pee.
And that is awesome.
Did your back hurt while you were sleeping?
I don't know.
I was asleep.
But it didn't bother you while you were sleeping.
So it didn't wake you up at all.
No, it didn't wake me.
up. Like the pain wasn't so bad where I woke up.
But when you woke up, it hurt.
Excruciating in the middle of the night.
Come on, man.
You know how awesome it is not to pee in the middle of the night?
Do you guys, all you guys pee in the middle of the night?
Yes.
I'm awake so much in the middle of the night.
Sometimes I pee because I'm awake.
I don't know.
Well, what time do you cut off water?
9.30, 10.
Oh, you need to cut that weight.
You should do early. 7 o'clock, dude.
7 o'clock.
Or 2 hours before bedtime.
You're awake at 930 or 10 every night?
Pretty much.
Is it because you take a nap every day?
Yep.
And it's because you put the kids asleep and then you finally have some quiet time.
It's like, oh.
Adult time like Amy was talking about.
Yeah.
I mean, my wife goes a bed at like nine, but I'm just like, okay, I can watch, you know, sports or something and just be by myself.
If you were making $5 million a year, would you do underwear only fans?
So like for me brawl too?
Well, that's underwear.
Oh, okay.
Well, I don't know.
I was clarifying.
Five million year
I mean
I don't think so
What
That's just
I think that's a lot of money
Obviously
For five million a year
I know
I guess
Not full naked
But underwear of only fans
I guess but the thing is like
If I wanted to go to only fans
And make money that way
I guess it wouldn't be that much
I don't think
But girls are making a killing over there
But only have very few
It's like professional athletes
You hear about the big ones
and that dominates the news.
And so everybody thinks everybody's making it.
There are women that make a ton.
But most don't.
I read a story that the average person,
only fan, makes like $1,800 a year.
Yeah.
It just isn't a feel good to me.
It's not in alignment with me.
That's not how I want to make money.
I hear you, but $5 million a year feels good.
Feels great, yes.
I just wondered, because I'm not saying.
And then do I want, is that how I want my daughter
to make money that way?
What if?
What if it never got out?
What if you did it in a wrestling mask?
So people didn't know,
your face. But then I still
doesn't feel good to me. Okay, that's all I'm asking. Yeah, it's not
an alignment. No, I get that. Yeah, because some of it's like the public
perception, but then I guess it's just if I were to do an
internal examination on how it made me feel, I don't think I would, that's how I
want to do it. But if I was totally
desperate, I don't know. You know, like I'm saying
cut out the $5 million, but I needed to make money
to like put food on the table, I don't know what I would do.
I'm just being, that's where
thankfully I'm not in that situation
It's just weird that Eddie goes
I wish I were a girl
No I didn't say that
That's a bizarre thing to say
If you asked me
$5 million to do underwear
On Only fans
Yes dude
But nobody wants to see me
So I'm like if I was a girl like Amy
I would do it 1,000%
So what if it was how your wife made money
I'd have to I would do when I was single
No no no what if you're a man
Now we're not pretending you're a girl
What if that's how your wife made money
She can't do that.
Or your daughter.
Right now, $5 million a year.
Ooh, $5 million.
If your wife was making $5 million a year doing underwear only fans, would you want her to do it?
I can't.
I can't.
The message to my kids is not the right message.
They wouldn't even know.
But just now, you're like, I wish I was a girl.
I would do it.
Five million a year.
I wouldn't have gotten married and I would do it for sure.
Five million a year, my wife.
No, I can't, dude.
I can't.
Why?
Seven million?
See, right?
It just doesn't feel right.
Why wouldn't you do it for $5 million?
Like, why would you know?
Also, it's just a human body.
Let your wife do it for $5 million.
You would?
It's art.
Yeah.
100%.
I'll go get the camera.
100%.
I'll get the camera.
Yeah.
No problem.
We'll shoot it.
Yeah.
I'm glad everybody had something they could find that was positive.
Yeah.
All right.
That was Tell me something good.
That was tell me something good.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep.
That's me.

I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him.
I said, hi, dad.
And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen.
And she says, I have some cookies and milk.
This is a badass convict.
Right.
Just finished five years.
I'm going to have cookies and milk at all.
Yeah.
On the senior show podcast, each episode invites you into a raw, unfiltered conversations

On a recent episode, I sit down with actor, cultural icon, Danny Trail,

I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money.
It's Financial Literacy Month,
and the podcast Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations about money,
growth, and building your future.
This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer,
and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre,
as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures,
it's like, what?
Today now, obviously, it's like 100%.
They believe everything.
But at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job.
There's an economic component to community striving.
If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food.
They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes.
Communities don't work unless there's money.

It's time for the good news.
With producer Eddie.
Tell me something good.
There's a 19-year-old guy decides to go hiking by himself in Northern California in the mountains,
and he gets out in the middle of nowhere when a storm just comes in.
He's like, uh-oh, I got to get back.
Well, the storm is really bad.
He really can't get back.
back. All his stuff is dying. Like his phone is dying. It's not good. But he has this GPS device
where he can hit a button and it just alerts EMS. And so he waited until he had to do that.
And he finally hit it. He deployed a whole search. A big search team went out. K9 units,
drones. And seven hours later after searching, they finally found him. He had hypothermia.
Oh, gosh. And they saved him.
It took seven hours to find him even with the GPS on him?
Yeah. I mean, I don't think the GPS was working at that point, just the emergency SOS. So,
Oh, got it.
So the SOS is not a GPS.
No, so when the authorities got the alert, all it showed was where he kind of started.
And they had to kind of track that trail of like, where could he be if he started here?
If you're lost in the woods, there are two things you do.
Name them.
Oh.
If you're trying to get out of the woods, what do you do?
I feel like I've.
This is the one where you pee?
I feel like you drink your own pee.
Now you pee and see what you drink those down.
Somehow you have to find water.
No?
You're lost in the woods.
What do you do if you're trying to get out of the woods if you're lost in the woods?
If you've committed.
What? Track your trees.
What's that mean?
Oh, like leave clues?
Yeah.
No, we'll write clues on stuff.
I think you're in the right place.
You're going the right direction.
I know you like follow trees.
Like you got to go down.
You want to, don't you want to go to the water?
Okay.
How do you find it?
Do you look at the sun?
I think you guys are in Homeward Bound, the movie.
Do we look at the sun?
No, there's no sun.
There's no sun.
There's no sun.
Okay.
So the most basic.
principle of if you're in the woods and you're trying to find your way out of the woods
is walk tree to tree looking at the tree because you will get lost. You will go, if you think
you're going straight, you're not. You'll end up going in a full circle. That's what I said,
track your tree. Fairly. You look at a tree. That's your destination. As soon as you get it,
you look at another tree. That's your destination. That's how you stay on a line because you have to
go around things. Yeah. But if you see a tree, that's number one. Now, if you're not trying to
get out, what do you do? You're not trying to get out. If you're like, there's no way I can
find my way out of here.
That's when you want to find water.
That's when you stay in one place.
What about a fire?
I thought you followed the birds.
Well, there are other things you can do.
Like, if you got to kill an animal and wear it on you and all that.
Create a new tribe.
See where the birds are going.
You got two options.
You either stay in one place or two.
If you are trying to get out, you go point to point.
And there are other things that you do, like get water and stuff.
I just cannot imagine.
Build a new civilization.
Staying in one place.
Repopulate the planet with your seed.
Yeah.
Which is the P one?
I remember you said like pee.
In snow.
That's it. Yes, it's if you're in an avalanche.
Oh, you're buried in an avalanche.
And you don't know if you're up or down.
Okay, that's if you're in an avalanche and you don't know, yeah.
You let spit hang or you pee in whichever way the water falls.
That's gravity.
That's down.
So you don't dig that way.
Boom, that's it.
You want to dig the opposite way of your pee.
That's it.
And don't run from a bear.
Okay.
Well, I'm glad they found the guy.
Yeah, he's good.
All right.
That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
It's time for the good.
Good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
Last Thursday morning in Ritesown, Wisconsin, a semi-truck is driving when all of a sudden,
it loses control, crosses the median, boom, crashes into a gas station.
Uh-oh.
You know what that means?
Fire.
Yeah.
And so Kyle was driving his truck and he's like, man, I got to go help.
Leaves his wife in the car, jumps out, runs out.
and gets a semi-truck driver out of the car.
Oh, pulls him.
Yeah, pulls him out of the cab, not car.
Did he hit the gas pumps?
It says he crashed into the wall of the gas station.
I would assume there's some sort of medical episode happening
for all of that to happen, like cross-immediate.
Like, you have to pull him out or he's probably going to die.
Right?
Yeah, they took him to the hospital and they don't know,
they didn't say if he had a medical emergency or what,
still under investigation, but he's alive.
man to the former 18 wheeler driver myself
Oh yeah that's right
Carrying eggs, right? What you haul?
My CDL's expired though now
What sucks
I can't
I can't legally get behind 18 wheeler and drive on
But you're a former truck driver
Yeah I was
I took the got the test
Got my license
Halled eggs across Chattanooga
And none of them broke
It's amazing
But I'm telling you
You gotta respect these people driving
These massive trucks
Cars were just darting in around me
willy-nilly. Somebody hits me, flips that car,
ten cars are now hit. You can't stop immediately riding that truck.
I'm glad I have that perspective. I respect truck drivers
so much more because I've done it. Not just the two days I drove
the eggs across Chattanooga.
Never forget it. But me having to take the test, me having to do
all of the... Oh, man. Did you get on the radio too? Like talk to other truckers?
Yeah. What's got, man? I was too nervous. I was focused on driving.
I'll be honest with you. You're doing that and there are cars all over the place.
And you're a rookie.
You just don't want to hit anything.
Because you realize if somebody hits you or you hit somebody else,
there are cars everywhere.
So respect your truckers.
I'm going to say there.
There you go.
That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.
