It's time for the good news.
Tell me something good.
All right, tell me something good, Amy.
My tire was fixed yesterday.
So I
Did you have a nail in it?
Well, I don't really know what punctured it.
I was driving down the highway
when we were on our way to church
and somebody's hubcap in front of me
just flew off.
And then I had no choice.
I was very proud of myself
for staying calm.
I remember this part.
Yeah.
Yeah, so I had no choice
but just run over it.
And then my...
Did it mess up your wheel?
Yeah, that's cool.
Your whole wheel, not your tire.
I don't think so.
Just the tire.
Okay.
It was just after church
my tire pressure
was dropping significantly.
and then I found whatever had inserted itself into the tire was not a nail, but some object.
And so air was leaking out.
And then yesterday I had the tire people come to my house because I had to get a ride to work and everything.
So I was too scared to drive back on the highway.
Even though it was a slow leak, I still looked like it had air, but it was significantly dropping.
And I didn't.
You know, I don't trust those tires that go like, hey, we're flat.
You can keep driving on us.
I had those on a car once.
They were like, if you get a flight, you can drive in another four.
40 miles.
What?
Yeah, they have a name.
I think they're called like no run flats.
Yeah, like there's something in it that makes it not the air come out or whatever.
I'm a pass on that.
I'm just going to pull over.
I've had too many wheels to get messed up.
That's good.
What it cost you?
Well, I don't know.
I don't have the bill yet.
So the thing is, too, so I used to do endorsements with them.
It's Moody Tire.
I worked with them for a long time.
Even when I did my podcast down at Franklin Theater, like we gave away.
tires and did this whole thing. I'm sure that he'll email me a bill. But he also said while his guy was
out there, he's like, I think you need. Oh, they're going to get you. Hey, let me guess your oil filter is dirty.
No, he's not like that. Your windshield wipers need change. They're like, they're awesome. Transmission fluid.
Been there. Every oil change I've ever been to. That's a crap that happens. No, but that's why I call
him because I trust them and they're like a family business. They've been around forever. And so I like
working with them because I had taken my car to the dealer.
not that long ago and they had mentioned that I need new tires. Now them I didn't trust. So I've just
been driving around like, ah, they're full of it, you know? But then he texts me and he was like,
hey, my guy just said, you know, he goes, can you send me better pictures? Because he told me what
he saw in your tires and I just want to see for myself. And he's one of the owners. So then I sent
him pictures and he's like, it's probably going to be time for some new tires. And I was like,
dang, my dealership had said that a few months ago and I didn't believe it. And so I got my tire
fixed or just tell me something good.
tell me something, is that now I need four new tires.
And then he said, let me quote some out for you.
And then he texted me, are you sitting down?
Oh.
Oh.
That's bad.
That tires are expensive.
I know.
That's just like it's one of those adult items that, like, you know, when you're an adult.
Well, it's not like you have a tire budget for March.
Right.
Tires happen and you're like, well, crap.
That's always what tire or refrigerator or those dishwasher.
Air conditioner.
Like things that are not.
Nice to have.
When you need a generator.
Don't even get me start on the freaking generator way to buy.
Well, that's a,
Generators are a bonus.
That's not it,
that's not a refrigerator.
It ends in a radiator.
Sure does.
Got you there,
didn't I?
Sure did.
So,
I'm very happy that,
again,
it could have been worse.
Yeah.
So.
I had to get two back tires,
remember?
I got something on mine,
I got a nail on my tire.
Yeah,
but then you said you were being scammed.
That's what made me think my dealers were scamming me.
I don't even think our cars need tires.
I don't even think the tire's.
I think the tire business is just scanned by big rubber.
There's big pharma, there's big rubber.
I don't even think we need tires.
Yeah.
I'm glad to happen.
I just ordered four new tires, so I hope.
Big rubber just got some money.
Hey, and the fact that they haven't sent her a bill yet, like that's pretty nice.
Hey, I think you're-
Change your name.
Change your name, then never find out.
Yeah, I'll change my email.
No, I will happily pay.
I'm a satisfied customer.
I'm just saying he'll likely send it to me, and maybe he'll tie it into one.
He'll be like, this is for the patch tire.
that we were replacing anyway with a brand of tire.
It kind of turned into to tell me something suck.
I'll be honest with you.
No, it's still a tell me something good.
They came out, they fixed my tire,
I drove my car to work today.
Again, Sunday, I could have died.
You could have.
So it's tell me something good.
When something's flying at you at high speed on the highway and you...
It was a hubcap for the record.
It wasn't an 18-wheeler tire.
Okay, but still, a hubcap could have flown
through my windshield and
but it didn't.
And cut her throat off.
For those it didn't see,
Amy, we just did a to her throat.
Well, y'all are saying this is not a tell me something.
No, well, you're the one that, you were like,
well, I had a nail on a tire,
now I have to get four new tires
and I got to buy a new house.
So you kind of hit us with that.
Well, sometimes we do, tell me something,
me.
Yeah.
Well, I'm glad you drove to work today.
Thank you.
Tell me something good, Eddie.
Okay, I mean, mine's kind of dumb, but.
So I hadn't worn these shorts in a while,
and the weather's been great lately,
so I got my shorts on.
and I was going to a basketball game, my kid's basketball game,
and I reach in the pocket, you know how when you tell a bad story
and you're like, so I found five bucks, I really found ten bucks in my pocket.
And it's like, man, whenever you find money in your pocket that you did not expect,
it's kind of cool.
Save that for the tire fun.
Those things creep up on you sometimes, man.
Yeah, that's fun.
So that was kind of cool.
I'll do some of mine.
I made a list of a few things.
The Boys is back on Amazon Prime.
I love that show.
I think it's season five.
Yeah, final season.
Final season.
Superheroes?
I hate when you say it like that
You talk down to it
You talk down to it
You talk down to it
It's not that good
It's awesome
It's one of my favorite shows
For you it's like good
But I
My opinion is it's not good
But you didn't say that
You just said it's not that good
Okay
In my opinion
It's not that good
Amy is it superheroes to you?
Yeah
It's an awesome show
It's basically
If superheroes
Existed in real life
What the world would be like
And some are good
some are bad. I love it. And episode one was good. Yeah, they're both good. I haven't,
I didn't start two yet, um, episode two, but there are two episodes out. Morgan, you watch it?
No, that's the one that you tried to get me on and it was so gory. The first scene's horrible.
It's definitely gory. I remember that one. There's a dude. They all have weird superpowers. I hate to tell you
guys this one because you're going to laugh at me. But in this first episode, there's a guy. They
all have weird superpower. Some of them run fast and fly. But some of them, their superpowers are just
weird. And there's one guy he like works in a prison and beats people up. But his weapon is his wiener.
Oh my God.
I know it's crazy.
What?
I know.
It's crazy.
It's crazy.
It's quite a superpower.
Yeah.
Wow.
So the boys are back.
I love that show.
Are you joking?
No, it's so funny, though, because it's...
I can't tell.
I can't...
You love the show, right?
You're not joking about that?
But that's really his superpower.
I honestly can't tell if you're being sarcastic.
Yes.
No, no, that's his superpower.
Okay.
That's his weapon.
Why would you make that up?
To make us think, wow, it's really crazy.
Did I pull up a picture?
Yeah.
Other things.
These are the shoes Amy got me for my birthday.
They're pretty awesome.
Been wearing up for the last couple days.
You know, getting new shoes out, it's a whole process because you've got to take the padding out.
I don't ever untie, I don't tie my shoes, so I leave them, but these are A plus.
I want to show those off.
Those are cool.
What color are these?
Brown.
They are brown.
Yeah, they're in, and to be honest, I ordered them online, and they looked less brown than that.
No, I like them.
Well, when I...
I've been wearing them, I give him an A-plus.
That's a good.
That is tell me something good.
Because when I opened up the box, I was like, oh, gosh, these are brown,
but it was a day before your birthday, so it was too late.
So I was like, well, he's getting brown, brown shoes.
Another one is, I'm extremely colorblind, but the color that I really like is red.
And so I'm a big Arkansas Razorbacks fan, obviously, and they're red.
That happens to work.
I'm a massive Cubs fan as well, but they're blue.
But the Cubs make red hats now.
Look at my Red Cubs hat.
Tell me that's not cool.
It's cool.
Way cooler from me than you, obviously.
But I found these different.
It's different.
These complete red as.
No, but still, there's complete red cubs hats like that.
I've never seen a cubs hat in red like that.
It's very different.
Thank you very much.
It's all I was looking for.

In the moment, it felt like it was going on forever.
I didn't think I was going to live.
I was terrified.
There was no anything inside those eyes.
They turned black.
It scared the hell out of me.
That was your first murder case?
Yes, sir.
Fair to say this was the biggest case of your career?
Yes, sir.
Rape and murder for a child.
Just as bad as it gets.
I would think so.
Evil, wake up.
I'm the one that saw the murder take place by Crevent and DePippo.
Anthony DePippo showed no signs of remorse,

Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind.
Highlights are trending.
Opinions are flying.
And nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where Sports Slice comes in.
I'm Timbo.
Every episode, we're cutting through the noise.
on the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source,
the athlete themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear.
The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral
moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you
context, and ask the questions everybody wants answered. Sports slice brings you closer to the action
with stories told by the people who live them. Listen to Sports Slice. On the IHeart Radio
app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Slica Life 12
and the TikTok podcast network on TikTok. Yesterday on our sports show, 25 whistles, we had
like a grill off or smoke off, smoker off. Eddie and Kickoff Kevin, they were arguing about who
could smoke brisket the best. So I gave them both $75 and they went home over the weekend.
And they both came in and they presented their food, but I didn't know who's was who. And so I basically
I guess I paid for it, but I was going to say I got a free lunch.
No, you paid for it.
But I paid for it.
But it was a really great segment yesterday.
So who won?
You have to go and listen?
Because I was thinking, like, that would be a cool story to tell, but people should go listen to that.
You can listen anyway, but who cares?
Eddie won.
But it was two to one, and it was very close.
I was shocked at how close it was, Amy.
Yeah, that was a good second.
So I got, I had like four things there that I made.
And then I mentioned earlier, I went to the pediatrician yesterday, and all things checked out with the baby.
So she is good.
that's probably the best
because you never know
what's going in
they do say between
like four and six weeks
like when that's like a big growth spurt
that they're just not going to be comfortable
but I wish there wasn't a shame on like
adults for pooping
like there's no shame on babies for pooping
baby poops are like
that's what I'm talking about yeah
I never come out of the bathroom and wife's like
that's what I'm talking about good job no
you know what I mean
usually why are you in there so long
yeah it's like hey man
or I come out like dragging my leg
because it's asleep
She's like, why, don't drive, you're good.
Like, come out earlier.
So, all good with the baby.
That would be my list there.
Morgan.
So, you know how I was telling you guys about, like, just our impact and talking about the good news of talking about different things on the show and how it impacts other people, right?
The other week we were talking about this.
Give me an example.
There's bad news all over on social media.
You see the bad comments, but there's good.
So, I was telling you guys that people had reached out to me about vertigo, about my dog and how it impacted them.
Well, a listener reached out, and because I was talking about Remy getting diagnosed with Addison's disease, she saw her dog exhibit all of the same symptoms and took her dog when he was in a crisis, and it's saved his life.
So her dog is on the men now finally healing, and it's all because we were like talking about it, and she heard it and ended up taking her dog in because of it.
That's great.
Otherwise, she would have never known.
Like, Addison's disease is just so rare.
It's not something that's really talked about, especially with animals.
So us talking about it is a big impact.
And she sent me a really sweet message and was like,
you most likely saved my puppy's life.
And I have to thank you for that.
So it was like super,
I got really emotional when it came through because it mattered.
So you're a hero.
Kind of felt like it, yeah.
Not like saving lives, but a doggy's life.
A real hero says I'm not a hero.
The number one rule of being a hero is you can't claim you're a hero.
But I feel like a hero right now, you know.
Wait, okay, so humans can get, so this is a human disease that dogs also get.
Yeah, yeah, it's both.
It's an autoimmune disorder.
Okay.
So, but it's not really talked about.
Eddie, you just don't hear about it.
Extreme fatigue is a symptom.
Guys, again, this morning.
You have Addison and low testosterone.
We don't know that yet.
We're just piling it all on.
I don't know.
Dude, this morning was rough.
Sat at the edge of the bed.
I'm like, I'm not going to make it.
Okay.
I do that for like a whole.
What do you mean you're not going to make it?
You are so full of crap.
It's like you wake up.
up and you're so tired and you're just sitting there like, I don't have the strength to get out of bed.
Am I going to make it through the day?
And then you just make it to the shower.
It's one step at a time.
By the time I get out of the shower, I'm like, all right, I feel better.
But man, getting out of bed's tough.
Isn't that called being sleepy?
No, but it's every day.
I don't know.
I don't know what it is.
You are going to get checked.
If you guys missed it, lunchbox and out of your boat is going to get checked for testosterone, low testosterone.
I'm not worried about that.
I'm going to be checked for high testosterone.
You can't even say it.
No, no, he's getting testosterone.
Tostosterone.
Two different things.
It's a low T-off.
Yes, we're going to have a competition and see who has the lowest or highest testosterone.
Yeah.
I went for a walk yesterday, walking the dog, had a couple of kids with me, and we found two Easter eggs and someone jarred, and they had kick cats in them. Boom! Did you eat them? Heck yeah. Are they still good? They're not too hot. Yeah, they're in the rapper. It's not that. It hasn't been like 80 degrees?
It has been hot.
They're melting. I'm not saying you're going to die poisoning.
Yeah, the chocolate can melt and then you eat it.
Yeah, I mean, it wasn't the cleanest, but it was delicious.
So two Kit Katz, boom.
Not bad.
Just tell me something good.
It's pretty good.
That is pretty good.
You found a few bucks in your pocket.
You can buy a Kit Kat.
You got it to find it in an egg in a yard.
Yeah, in a random yard.
Like, they missed them.
But you're an adult man.
You guys are really yucking my yums right now.
And my kid was like, can I take it?
I was like, yeah, we can take it?
Like, why wouldn't you?
They obviously didn't see it.
They didn't do a good job searching.
Yeah.
There was a story about a kid.
I guess he's not a kid.
He started when he was a kid.
He was a bus boy at a Denny's.
And he was hired in the late 70s as a kid.
He worked there for 48 years.
And so they celebrated his 48 years on the job with a birthday fundraiser.
And so that's what he wanted to do.
ABC 15 was a story.
They love the guy's been there forever.
And then they turned it into a fundraiser for nonprofits who support adults with
developmental disabilities where he lives.
So that's a pretty good story.
I thought I were going to say for him
I was like that's pretty cool
like they did a
fundraiser for him
but he lives there right
yeah
but that's okay now
so it's kind of for him
it's kind of for him
you're kind of taking it down a little bit
no no no I was thinking
like you know how they do these
go fund me's and like these people
can retire I was thinking you were going to say
oh they raise enough money where he doesn't have to work anymore
I think he likes to work
yeah
and you kind of made it
tell me something
yeah I didn't mean to
tell me something make it the story not as good as it was
that's on me
all right there you go
That's what's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
A family-owned restaurant in Georgia has been spared from having to close down after the owner's
daughter posted a TikTok video, just asking people to please come support her family's
business because rising costs, rent, utilities, chicken prices.
The restaurant is called Wing Suite.
and the video went viral.
People said they drove like more than 40 minutes away from more than 40 minutes away
because the video really tugged at their heartstrings and they really wanted to support this.
And what the daughter said in the video is like, I just want you to think like,
what if what if this was your mother's restaurant?
Like what would you do?
So this was like her sort of Hail Mary shot at getting people to come and support the business and it worked.
I mean, people have been showing up, a GoFundMe has been set up.
And hopefully it'll just help them do.
get back on their feet and get some momentum.
I heard the high chicken prices is kind of why Eddie quit his business.
Yeah, man.
Chicken.
Chicken is getting crazy.
Yeah.
The prices are crazy for chickens.
Otherwise, he'd probably be in.
You should do a go fund me for that too.
I do a viral video.
That's good.
I'm glad everybody stepped forward.
Step up.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
It's time for the good news.
With Lunchbox.
Stay home is something good.
A woman in Vermont.
Vermont, two-year-old child driving down the road.
She loses control the car.
Boom.
Crashes into the river.
Airbag deploys.
And then the car starts floating down the river.
She's like, I got to get out of this car.
She unbuckles, cuts through the airbag, able to go in the back seat, unbuckle the child,
climb out the window and get to the shore.
And the car is fully submerged in the river.
You just at the top of it floating down.
Like she's standing next to it and it's like her neck
is the only thing that's like above the car.
That is crazy.
I'm looking at it where it went off like the bridge part.
You say that?
Yeah, she crashed through, boom, down into the river and no one helped her.
It was just her and her two-year-old.
She did all the work.
Yeah, no one helped her, but there's no one in this place.
It's not like people drove by and they were like, look at the lady in the water.
Some other day.
There's no, yeah.
I'm late to work.
It can't stop.
Yeah, she's in a place where there's just not a lot of people.
Ah, that's crazy.
Good for her.
That's all instinct, right?
Yeah.
Jumping in, saving the kid.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
