This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
There was no anything inside those eyes.
They turned black.
It scared the hell out of me.
Evil, wake up.
I'm the one that saw the murder take place by Creveit and DePippo.
Anthony DePippo showed no signs of remorse,
appearing unfazed after being sentenced to the maximum.
I said I'm not guilty. I'll take it to the grave.

All right, listen up.
The Jonas Brothers here.
Our podcast is called, Hey Jonas.
We've here, since everyone has a podcast, we want it to as well.
And we've had some incredible guests so far.
And now our good friend, Nile Horn, is joining the show.
How's it going, boys?
Hey, Niall.
It's the same thing with Slow Hands.
Slow Hands is not about anything else, really, is it?
You know, or taste so good can't be about first.
You do the same, Nick, with some of the stuff that you've done.
You too, Joe.
Drop what you're doing and listen to Hey Jonas on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
Everyone sees me as a football player.
But before anything else, I'm human.
Every single day I'm still learning how to live with problems, mistakes, relationships, emotions ever since I was born.
This isn't a normal podcast.
Everything here is spontaneous, real and genuine, just honest conversations about what it means to be a
a life. I'm Javier El Chicharito
Hernandez and listen to Learning to Be Human
on IHard Radio, Apple Podcasts,
or whatever you get your podcast.
It's time for the good news.
Tell me something good.
We kind of a rough night with the baby last night.
She usually sleeps eight hours now through the night.
She kind of woke up in the middle night last night.
So that's the bad.
But that's pretty good if it's happening once a week.
That's pretty good.
Yeah.
Because mostly it's just like rock and roll.
The real good one though is
My wife made some cassidias, but how I like them.
Which is how?
Very simple.
And not real cheese?
No real cheese.
Yeah, it's some kind of steak and then some fake cheese and then basically a tortilla.
And I don't think she put it in like hours and hours.
But it doesn't matter.
That's weird.
We had that last night too.
Cissadias?
I didn't even realize that.
Holy crap.
That's crazy, dude.
So we did that.
That's good.
Yeah.
I don't really have anything great.
but I just had to appreciate the fact that the baby almost never wakes up at night.
And so we had a rough night last night.
But man, how rare is that?
We've been very fortunate.
So that's my good.
Yeah, you have to have a little bit of that sprinkled in or you won't recognize the good.
I'd rather not have to recognize the good.
I'd rather just let it be good.
But, but, you know, I'm fixing it up there.
Amy, what do you got?
Last night, I went to my son's art show at school.
You had an art show?
So the art class, like the teacher puts everything on display and parents can just stop by, like, between 530 and 730.
And they had like water and cookies.
What did he do?
So he had two things in the show.
One was an entire replica of a mini of a Chick-fil-A.
Did he build it himself?
Yeah.
He worked on that one with a friend and they had little like Lego people as the employees and they had cars.
They had a complete with a drive-thru and everything.
They even printed out the Chick-fil-A menu and had it on the cardboard cut out.
It reminded me of that scene from Zoolander where he was like looking at the rendering, the model.
So it was like a model of a Chick-fil-A.
And then he had this other pottery piece that he made.
It's like a sunflower, and he made it for me and said, I can put my jewelry in it.
And so that was really cute.
And so I just thought it was sweet because he's had an art show before last year and he didn't want us to go.
So this year, I thought, well, this is progress.
he at least really wanted to go and show off his stuff.
So. How is he as an artist?
He is completing the assignment.
Man, I was terrible. I'd mention this already.
I had no handwriting, no drawing. It was just not my strength at all.
Yeah, like, it's not going to probably win any awards.
But with me, it does.
Okay.
I don't have to defend it.
I just wonder, some kids just don't have the arts.
Or adults.
Yeah, like I don't have that.
I don't have that.
Yeah, I was talking about my handwriting yesterday.
It's terrible.
I'm an adult man.
My handwriting is still terrible.
I was thinking about something else.
My wife had to go to the doctor yesterday for a couple hours.
And so I was on Solo Dad Patrol.
And it went great.
So no issues.
That's a good part of the day.
That's a good way to say it too.
Like I would normally say like, yeah, I was watching the baby.
And they're like, oh, no, you're not watching the baby.
You're the dad.
I know.
I've said that before.
And they're like, no, you're not baby.
sitting, you're the dad. Who did you say that to it? Because I wouldn't have caught that.
If I'm just talking to people, it would be like, man, I watched the baby yesterday for two hours.
And they're just like, no, you didn't watch the baby. Yeah, because like, do moms ever say that?
Never. I had to watch the kids. No. Right. But if they do that all the time, then you don't really say it.
Or if the dad does it all the time, you don't really say it. But for me, I don't have multiple hours at a time for the most part unless my wife needs to go get things done.
But I had two hours so yesterday. It was great. So no issue.
No, the way you said it was great. Baby Patrol. The way you said it was good.
Perfect. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Good, good, good. Okay, Eddie, tell me something good.
Man, last night I found my go-to karaoke song, which I never knew. Usually it's like, oh, karaoke, Margaritaville, or I would do an Elvis song or something. Last night, I was singing karaoke.
And my song, I think I was doing like Brown-Aid girl or whatever, and it ran out. And I do it through YouTube. So it suggests the next song. And it was New York, New York by Frank Sinatra. And I'm like, I kind of like that song.
Dude, I nailed it.
Who's with you when you're doing this?
Because it's at your house.
Everyone's kind of there doing their own thing.
So they're also in the house, you mean.
Yeah, like somewhere upstairs.
My wife's usually cooking in the kitchen.
So you're by yourself just singing.
Yes.
Yeah.
It's fun.
That's fun for you?
Instead of having like the, you know, a song, like your Bluetooth on or whatever, like they listen to me sing karaoke.
And then sometimes my kids are like, oh, I like that song.
I'll jump in, Dad.
And then they'll take over.
But, dude, New York, New York, I think is my new go-to song.
Do you sing it in his key?
Yeah.
whatever key it was, I think just the standard key.
But it's like deeper.
Start spreading the news.
I nailed it.
And then after I sang it the first time, my wife was like, do it again.
That was so good.
I did it again.
She called you out.
And said, she called her an encore.
Yes.
My wife loves it when I sing karaoke.
And sometimes they'll even be such a jam.
She'll be like, I'm jumping in on this one.
I feel like I'm going to kind of be a hater on this.
But that song sounds like a kind of a boring karaoke.
Not the way I sing it.
Not the way I do it
Very slow
I mean just like
So like on the boat
You know the the cruise we went on
They do like live band karaoke
I wonder if next year I can do New York New York
Whenever you did that
Is there a list
Or do you go up and say
Hey well you guys do this song
Morgan was hosting
And I just told Morgan like
See if they'd know Margaritaville
And then I did Margaritaville
Yeah I would think they would
If it's a boat band
Right that'd be a go-to
Do you know
Do you just go up to them
And ask them if they knew it
No, we set it up so he would come be a surprise
Because it was all the listeners were competing
It was a karaoke competition
And I was like, well, we have a surprise guest
And we just pulled up Eddie to come and sing
Yeah, but was there a list of songs
They were choosing from or did they just choose any song they wanted?
So they had a DJ and they had the band
The DJ was looking up songs
And then the band was playing
I think they'd play along when they knew it
Or along the lines of playing it
Does that make sense?
I wonder how our cruise is doing
I try to check in
see how it's selling
Hey Ray we asked Scooby
to come to the microphone
Scoob Mike
and sometimes they don't
check in with him
except for like every three or four months
Hey Scooby
Hey Scooby
Hey Scooby
Yeah
How's the crew doing
Do you know
I do not
But I know that we have some
like paid stuff coming up
As far as like promotional stuff
goes
I feel like they're happy with it
But we're still so far out
I don't think it's that big of a deal
quite yet
Meaning
If we're not like
95% they're not freaking out because we're over a year away.
Not a year, but close to a year away.
I mean, I feel like you talked to a sales department.
They're like, we wanted to sell out immediately.
Yeah.
But it's a very expensive thing for anyone to jump on to.
I feel like we're pacing phenomenal.
But no updates as far as how it's really, really going.
The top shelf country crew second sailing.
I like that.
With the voice judge Riley Green now.
You know you got put on the voice.
I asked.
I did.
I got a question.
Anything about a drink package next year?
Are we ironed that out?
Well, you know what?
There's plenty of time to work on it.
No, no, no, let's not leave that to the last minute.
Yeah, yeah.
No, there's a lot of things that I don't want to leave to the last minute, like the Wi-Fi
and those kind of things.
But I feel like the drink package won't be what you want because there's a concern of people
getting plastered drunk, which we had some small issues last year with that.
Isn't that every cruise though?
Everybody gets plastic drink.
Who is that working talent?
I mean, oh, was it working people that got drunk?
Yeah, so you're working and that's the thing that you're paid to be there and work.
Ray.
Was it Ray?
I'm not going to name any names.
Morgan.
It was Ray.
Hey, I didn't, that was people giving it to me during boozy bingo.
That was part of the gig.
There's a difference.
I got sick off the boat.
I was already done.
My duties were over.
I didn't say your name, Amy.
No, but there's a difference in being drunk on the boat and being inappropriate and
sloppy and being drunk on the boat and just not being inappropriate.
Right.
Yeah.
There's also like a fine line of like fun.
Who got, who, did somebody get in trouble?
No, no one got in trouble.
there was internal conversations of like,
hey, they're there to be working, not getting drunk.
So don't focus so much.
And I want the drink package.
I want to get plastered.
Oh, I know that accent.
I got it.
But it's not even that.
It's, um...
I think we have an idea.
The whole point is that when I'm not working, I have downtime.
Now, you're always working on the boat.
We have very little downtime.
And in between, it's almost like a 24-7 meet and greet.
So they need you to be on your best behavior.
Okay.
So now we're not allowed to.
drink. So everybody wants to drink. Somebody said. They just don't want you to have unlimited
amounts of alcohol. They want you to have like for me for example. Great example. I had two
drinks a day, maybe three and that's spread across the entire day. Right. But did you have a
card that you didn't have to pay for it? No. That's stupid. That's what I'm saying. I don't want to be
paying for the drinks. I should be getting free drinks. So if I want it. Did they pay you back
for your drinks? No. They still haven't hit you back? No. Did you pay though? Or did they
cut your? No, no. I paid. I got a bill when I, in my email, I have a receipt.
But have you done your expense report yet?
I didn't think I could write off alcohol.
Well, we were telling you that you can.
Yes, we've told you you can write off anything.
That's what I'm talking about.
I don't know that.
Then I don't care about the card.
I'll just ride it off.
That's fine.
I remember at one point lunchbox, you had like four pinocaladas, right?
I mean, I couldn't even get a bottled water at one point.
That wasn't a bit, by the way.
I can promise you.
That was no, like, let's make lunchbox have the...
It was a card issue.
You had the red card.
And that's what I'm saying.
Let's not leave it.
that to the last minute. Did they think he did a good job
last year? Yeah, they were very, I think you were
the highlights of the cruise. Great, then let's keep him on the same
card. We'll keep him up. If they loved
it, don't change anything. Why would you change something
if it goes so well? That's a good point.
That is the dumbest thing you've ever said. No. He couldn't even get
to eat with us. Yeah, I couldn't even go eat dinner
with them. I had to sneak into
performances. Why change something
that went so well? If it ain't
broke, don't fix it. And when we all got on the boat, his room wasn't
ready for a whole other like 10 hours. That's perfect.
And that, and that what that did is allowed him to
go out and be a man amongst the people.
I mean, you know how embarrassing it is to have to sneak into dinner, to sneak in to see, you know, concerts?
I mean, it's like, what are we doing?
Like, oh, sorry, you don't have the right card.
You can't come watch.
What?
Oh, Morgan and Amy and everybody else can go in, but I just got to stand outside.
Yeah, sorry about that.
All right, cool.
Yeah, that was a huge mess up.
I mean, it was great for us on the show as far as content goes.
But that was truly an accident.
Even raging idiots, you couldn't get in there.
No, I had to sneak out.
Dude, I had to get, listen, I literally had to go out.
on the like deck
walk past the where the entrance
was and come in the side door
because I didn't have the right color card
he's like I work with those guys
I know I promise here's a picture of me with them on my phone
and she was like sorry you have a red card
and I'm like oh my gosh
a little bit of me scuba subscribes to if it ain't broke
don't fix it yeah well the one thing that kind of irked me
a little bit was I wanted us to have some sort of like
you know how we go to IHeard festival
we have those badges that say who we are
for instances like that and they're like you don't need it
no one's going to have that I got on the ship
and everyone that worked there had one of those VIP-type badges.
So we may have that this coming year.
Well, you guys can hop on with us.
After all that.

In the moment, it felt like it was going on forever.
I didn't think I was going to live.
I was terrified.
There was no anything inside those eyes.
They turned black.
It scared the hell out of me.
That was your first murder case?
Yes, sir.
Fair to say this was the biggest case of your career?
Yes, sir.
Rape and murder for a child.
She's as bad as it gets.
I would think so.
People, wake up.
I'm the one that saw the murder.
take place by crevette and de pippo.

to your podcast.
Lunchbox.
I don't know if I have anything positive now.
I mean, you've got to put me in a bad mood right there.
I will say that I did take my dog.
I take him to a, it's like a dog bar.
Like they have food, drinks,
and it's just like a big place where dogs can play
and they have referees.
So like if they get out of control.
That's funny.
A referee.
Yeah, it's really cool.
And my dog always gets a little out of control
because he's a puppy and starts mountain dogs
and doing crazy stuff.
And we went yesterday and he didn't get putting time
out one time.
Like he was actually like learning that, hey, you know what I mean?
I can wrestle, but I can't like mount.
And so there was no timeout for my dog yesterday.
Because he'd get kind of embarrassed because they bring him over and like, can you put
him on the leash for 10 minutes?
Dang.
It's like, oh my God.
Ruffery.
Yeah.
They do.
They have referees that walk around.
Do you get a drink too at the bar?
Yeah, you can get a drink.
You can get everything you want, food, drinks.
People work from there.
Man, they just bring their dog to work every day.
Morgan.
Okay, so it started out bad because I am notorious for sitting like five or six alarms and this morning not a single one went off.
I don't know what happened. They just didn't show up, but my body woke up. I was not late today.
You guys saw me. I came here. I made it. I wasn't like scrambling either. I got myself put together and I was actually shocked.
Like normally I would have not woken up. I sleep like I'm dead.
Do you think you set them all for PM?
I've done that before.
No, they were all AM.
They're all a.
How did they not?
Was it silenced?
No, it was on.
I'm having a lot of problems.
Eddie's seen my phone just kind of makes random noises sometimes.
Have you not heard it during the show?
It does.
I thought you got a new phone, though.
It is a new phone, but something about like the settings on the new phone,
random things go off, even though I've instructed it not to go off.
And now I have things that aren't going off when I have asked it to go off.
And doesn't your dad?
call you every morning to make sure you're up?
No, he stopped doing that a while ago.
He's retired.
When your dude moved in, that's when he stopped.
No, my dad's retired.
Because it got too awkward.
Yeah, got too awkward.
My dad calling you when he's in there.
Yeah.
Ramundo, do you have anything?
Yeah, so my wife works from home.
And yeah, we're around each other 24 hours a day.
So today, she has an event at Gaylord at the Opry land.
And it's all day.
I mean, it's a convention.
It's all these people who work from home.
It's massive for her career.
She might be gone all night.
So I have the house to myself.
I'm talking pop a shot.
I'm talking video games with my nephew.
Ordering Uber Eats.
He's going to be here?
No.
Oh, you mean online?
TV's going to be on full blast.
If there's NBA on, I'm putting it on volume 50.
You're going to think I'm courtside at the game.
It is going to be awesome.
Congratulations.
That's cool, Ray.
Thanks, guys.
Abby, what about you?
You have anything?
Yeah, my family's in town.
We went to the Eagles on Saturday.
How was that show?
It was so good.
It was awesome.
I think it was like one of the first shows at like the new Vanderbilt Stadium.
Oh, no.
Is it done?
I didn't know that was the deal.
Yeah.
Like at the football stadium, it was really cool.
They have like sweets in the back.
They played in the football stadium at Vanderbilt?
Yeah.
You remember when we went, it was under construction.
It was under construction as they played ball last year.
Yes.
Yeah, it was awesome.
Getting out was really hard because like traffic around there is crazy.
So we kind of got stranded.
So there's also an amphitheater.
and Franklin that's called the First Bank Amphitheater
and our Uber like accidentally took someone
before us all the way there
because the people thought it was
at the amphitheater.
That's terrible.
I know because it's called,
this is First Bank Stadium
and that's First Bank Amphitheater.
Oh wow.
But that Uber driver must have been
just going on the route they said.
Because you have to enter it.
Yeah.
You don't walk in like a taxi and be like,
First Bank hit it.
Right.
Yeah, he didn't know.
When we were in Austin,
it was cold for IR Country Fest
and we went to watch Arkansas,
Texas play softball. And so we get there and it's like drizzling. It's wet. It's cold. And so we're leaving.
And I'm like, man, we're going to call Uber and get a ride back to the hotel. So I call Uber from
outside the softball stadium and the baseball stadium are right beside each other. And the Uber was
waiting on the other side of the baseball stadium. So I type it in. He's sitting there and I'm like,
let's just go walk to the other side of the baseball stadium. We'll get to the car. He's there.
But it broke cold and probably took a seven minutes to walk over there. And so we're like,
all right, cool man, he starts to drive, and he drives like, I don't know, two minutes.
It's like, all right, you're here.
Drops off the softball stadium.
Where we were standing to begin with.
Well, so then what?
Well, then I was like, no, can I like redo you?
Because I think what I did was is the baseball stadium popped up and I was like, I'm going to change it to the softball stadium.
But instead of changing it, I did the softball stadium on the bottom.
As the arrival place.
Yes, as he was driving over, I was like, this feels weird.
Like, this is not the way to the hotel.
He was like a two-minute ride.
He's like, all right, you guys are good.
I'm like, what?
I was like, can I like add something?
And so then he took us.
But I can definitely see an accident like that, especially if you're from out of town.
Yeah, if you're not from here, I would be like, oh, yeah.
That's a 30, maybe 40 minutes difference.
Yeah, and then they had to turn around.
Yeah, if you're from out of town, you don't really know that what you're driving by is not it.
Yeah.
Yeah, that sucks.
All right.
Hey, Scoba, do you have anything?
You just walk back in.
he's like what are we doing?
Tell me some good podcast.
I have something about I don't really want to say it yet.
All right, cool.
Yeah, yeah.
It's a tease.
It's a tease, yeah, it's a long-drawn out of tease
when we have an answer later this week or next week.
Regarding what?
Regarding life.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, wow.
This is huge.
Movement change thing.
Could it be?
Wow.
He's moving on.
He can't be having another baby because he has a vasectomy.
Okay, that's not that.
Or can I?
You can get those things back together.
And it's not 100% ever.
I'm not shooting in blanks anymore.
Anytime I think about that, I think about him going home right after the vasectomy and having sex with his wife and it injures them.
After they told him not to do that.
Yeah, they're like, don't have sex.
And he's like, oh, I had to.
I got home.
I was just so invigorated.
It was a good moment.
After surgery, I was so invigorated by it.
Oh, I just had to do it.
She was proud of me.
She gave me that look and I was like, here we go.
But it was right after.
It's like, don't go run.
It's like, don't go run.
No, I needed to get that run in.
I was high on laughing gas too.
So a lot of things were foggy.
But also the fact that she wasn't like, Steve, let's not do this.
Yeah, but like how could you turn me down?
Easy.
What do you mean?
Nothing.
Because you're so sexually undeniable.
Wow, wow.
All right, there you go.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell me something good.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
So at Air Force graduations, they stand at attention until they are tapped out by a family member or a friend.
So they have to stay frozen at attention.
And then someone comes up and taps them and then hugs them and all that.
Well, Joel Usher was at his Air Force graduation and he knew none of his family or friends could be there.
So he was standing at attention wondering what was going to happen.
And a fellow trainee that he met during training found him in the crowd, stepped in to support him,
and a video that Joel posted online
shows him holding back tears
as his friends come and tap him out
like his friend from training.
Well, that sucks that his family couldn't be there.
Also, jinx, you'd have to freeze.
If you got jinxed.
Oh, yeah.
Couldn't say anything.
It just depends on where you grew up
because sometimes you just couldn't say anything.
Sometimes you had to freeze
depending on what state you're from.
If nobody tapped him out,
does he just still stay there?
Forever?
I mean, you know somebody's going to have to spend.
His family has to fly in now to tap him out.
His feelings at the time,
He describes him as proud, grateful, and then relieved.
Yeah, because he would have been there forever.
No, he's literally standing there and everybody's walking around him and he isn't going anywhere.
Wow.
And then finally someone, yeah.
That is really cool.
But man, he would, guys, I got to tell you, I think he stays there forever.
If no one taps him out.
Turn the lights out and everything.
Hey, we got to go home.
Good story.
Glad his buddy could see him there.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
It's time for the good news.
With Lunchbox.
There's a boat out on the lake in Florida, six people on board,
when all of a sudden, a-oh, boat is sinking.
We need help.
Mayday, Mayday, we're going down.
Well, luckily, Michael and Shane McDonald, father and son,
their police officers on duty with the Marine unit,
and they went out and saved all six people on board.
Wow.
Pretty fortunate they were nearby.
His name's Michael McDonald.
That's cool.
Because Amy, who's Michael McDonald?
You can do it.
Amy, Amy, Amy.
Michael McDonald is?
Sounds like one of the ducks from Duckdale.
Oh, I thought you were going to get it.
No, he's the lead singer of the Doobie Brothers.
I was very confused.
I was like, who is Michael McDonald?
You guys are freaking out.
And when Keith Urban came in, he had a song with Michael McDonald on his new album.
Okay, I remember that now.
Man, that's a helpless feeling your boat's going down.
I know.
Because there ain't nothing you can do.
May Day.
Except shovel water or yell May Day.
All right, good.
Did they save the boat?
or just save the lives.
No, just the lives.
Boats are gone or.
Insurance.
Yeah, insurance will take care of that.
Insurance.
There you go.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
There was no anything inside those eyes.
They turned black.
It scared the hell out of me.
Epo, wake up.
I'm the one that saw the murder take place by Crevette and DePippo.
Anthony DePippo showed no signs of remorse,
appearing unfazed after being sentenced to the maximum.
I said, I'm not guilty. I'll take it to the grave.
