Something we had to file for some therapy stuff, and I didn't think we were going to get it back. And I got some good news yesterday. You got to stay on it, though. I thought you were going to say, when I got re-rended and I got $100,000. No, it's very, very different than what lunchbox has going on. But it was one of those things where you just had to be patient

and realize some of it was trying to be. trying to meet my deductible, and then, bam, the money comes in. But they just bill on a totally different way than you're paying it out. So it takes time, and you've got to be patient and persistent. Would you call them back every week or so and be like, where my money? Give me my money. I have been on the phone with them and multiple people. Like I had an hour-long phone call yesterday, also trying to understand the process.

And the guy said to me, this was interesting. He's like, do you want me to explain that again? because a lot of people tell me when I explain it, they don't understand. And I wanted to say back, in like a kind way, then should you come up with a new way to explain it? You know? That's funny. He should. He said to me, do you want me to explain it again? Because a lot of people tell me they don't understand it the first time I explain it. But that might be him saying, I don't do a good job of explaining it. He doesn't really need. He doesn't. He doesn't. He doesn't. He's the insurance specialist. So anyway, I refrain from saying that because, you know, I was just happy. I was

getting money back, so I let it go. But if I was still in the, like I still was in that window of not knowing if I was going to get it back, I might have, I might have said. Well, maybe you should find a new way to explain it. I don't think you would have. I don't know. She's kind of on this odd day. She gets in a mood. Yeah. Really, really gives them the business sometimes. But now I just really am curious. You know, if you have feedback that nobody understands the first time you're saying it, maybe. Maybe he feels like everybody's dumb. No, he does. He does. He does. He does. He does. He He didn't. He was actually really kind. Like, I didn't feel like there was no condescending tone. Like, I did say the word to him, though. Like, yeah, like, give it to me like insurance for dummies.

Yeah, explain like a five. Yeah. I'm glad you got money back. Was it thousands? We're getting there. Like, there's more coming? There's more coming. Right. Are you expecting thousands back? Does it hit thousands? Yes. It will. Right now, it's like I saw a spreadsheet with future comp money. coming back to me and it will total that. Okay, there you go. I wasn't feeling great yesterday. I even fell asleep for like 30 minutes on the couch.

It wasn't a planned nap, but I just wasn't feeling good. But I knew what I had to do last night and it was stay awake because the Arkansas basketball game did not start until 8.10 p.m. Yeah, why? It was in Arkansas, right? Why does it start so late? Television, they have a 630 game, like 6 o'clock 6.30 game. Oh, so when that's over.

And then an 8, 8, 10 game. At first I saw them, they were playing. Vandy and I'm like oh they're in town but yeah they weren't and it was late I stayed up I watched it Arkansas was ranked 20 Vandy was ranked I think 14 we we beat up almost 30 points it wasn't even close it was never close the game started is over so I watched out in the living room all the first half and then when I watched on my phone for the second half although my internet went out last night I need to see do you guys have internet in here yes yes it's back because I turned it off because the cell's pretty good I just watch it on sell

Do the phone still bill if you hit a certain level on just cell? Do you guys know? Does anybody hit that? Because you have a plan. Well, I got a text the other day that said out my hotspot was like almost out of... Well, I asked because I watched YouTube TV for like half an hour just on my cell. It depends on your plan. Like I have unlimited so I'm good.

Okay, so then I probably have unlimited. Data. Sure you do. Unlimited data. That's what they call. Possibly. But I watched the game Arkansas crushed, won by almost 30. Big game.

Yeah, that'd be my good news. Eddie? Same. So it's my son's basketball team. It's sixth graders. They're undefeated, but last night, ooh, they're what? They're undefeated. They're what? Undefeated. Undefeated? No, that's how, yeah, yeah, that's how we would say. Oh, did I say undefeated? Like undefeated.

Yeah, yeah. I didn't realize I said that. No, no, no, it's not even wrong. I just wanted to hear what you said. It's cute. Go ahead. They have not lost a game, but last night, oh, man, they were in danger of it. There was this team that they were just small. small dudes, but like scrappy. And our boys are all big. Like, they're all really big for their, for their age.

And they dominate teams. But last night was scared. We almost lost, we almost lost for the first time last night. To the mini but mighty. To the mini but mighty, but they were so good. But you did win. They did win. So they're still undefeated.

All right. There you go. Tell me something good. Lunchbox. Yeah, there's snow coming this weekend. And my wife has been putting it off. I say, we got to order these kids some snow clothes so they can play in the snow. You go online.

a lot of things are sold out, but we're able to keep digging, and the snow clothes will arrive on Friday. Yeah, we're supposed to get the biggest snowstorm in the history of snowstorms. And the grocery stores have already been hit. They have? Yeah. I went yesterday to get one rotisserie chicken. Classic.

First thing to go, the rotisses. But no, I just went. I wasn't ready to do my snow shopping, but I was in line. Oh, you went to just get you a random Wednesday or Tuesday rotissory chicken. Yeah, I just went to get my rotisserie chicken and I had to wait in line forever to check out. And the clerks were like, I mean, they weren't. They're like, we weren't expecting this today. We thought this would come in the next couple of days that people would swarm.

But people are ahead of it this time. They're getting, so I was, I'm mental no, I got to go back. But it already seems pretty bare. Well, they're saying it is going to be a monster. Yep. And not just here. The entire southeast, it's all purple and pink. And purple is bad where it's four or five plus inches.

Pink is that plus ice and we're right in the pink. Oh, we're not in the purple though? We're in the worst. Oh, so the mix. Yeah, we're supposed to have a lot of ice. We're right in the pink. Oh, and you know what we can't do? Drive in that.

No. Like people are so bad at driving that. Okay, so a little bit of the positive news for us. Because I also get a lot of Arkansas news and weather on my TikTok. It hits them, I think, Friday. It hits us like late Friday to Saturday. So if anything, it's a weekend. So we're kind of chill.

Don't have to drive to work as much. but they're acting like it's going to be bad because it's not going to be warm to melt it. My swim pole is mostly frozen. Yeah. Yeah, I'm not walking on that this time. Well, you didn't fall through last time. It's scary though.

I didn't realize we were going to be icy. Yeah, we're right in the pink. Dang it. My best friend from high school is coming in town. Yeah, what happens with planes? Can they land? Well, she gets in Friday morning at 11 a.m. So she should be fine.

She's coming from a Culver's convention. the following week. Is she staying with you? But she came a few days early to hang with me for the weekend. And now I'm like, well, good thing we've been best friends since 13 because we're going to be stuck at the house.

It's a bad weekend for a Culver's convention. Well, the Culver's convention starts Monday. Okay. A major winter storms approaching that could bring snow, sleet, freezing rain, accumulations of six or more inches are possible. The hazardous conditions could last for several days because temperatures are remaining cold.

We've also been trying to buy a generator. We had a guy come out. And he's like, do you only want like one of your rooms? I'm like, no, I want the whole house generated. Like if it goes down. That's a lot. That's a lot of power, dude. Oh, you're not in a little home here.

Should I, should I get the, just a room? Well, I mean, maybe you get, can you get like two rooms? Can you start with one room and then kind of grow on that? I don't know if you can just add on. But he, he asked, he's like, what do you want? I want to party. Everything goes down. I want to be the house that people look at and go, dang.

Do you want the one where, like, a. As soon as it goes out of power, it clicks on. Right on. Those are legit. I've lived next to those people. Because everything goes out and then you hear that. And you're like, okay, cool. Showoffs.

Well, they're acting like that's going to happen with this storm. And I'm not going to have a generator in time. But what I was thinking about that, though, is if they have fair warning that they know it's coming, can't they prepare for no power outage? I mean, put the heaters on all, everything. With power lines. And if there's snow. Is that the problem, power lines?

Like the weight of the snow. Yeah. Right. And now ice. Because it's like if you know a thunderstorm's coming, you can't really stop it from that either. Because lightning will hit something. Well, I need a comprehensive rundown. Like you're saying it hasn't been this bad. Ever?

They're acting like this is the worst storm in the history of storms to come to us this weekend. I feel like when TikTok has given me stuff about the storm, it's a big deal. Okay, so what are we supposed to do to prepare our homes? Like, do I need to throw salt down? Today. She's out there throwing salt everywhere. Well, yeah, because what if I need to take my dog? dog out. I do not want to slip. Mike, what are you been seeing? I mean, I've been looking at it every

single day. But yeah, they're making it seem like it's going to be terrible. Did you not know? No, I mean, I knew that it was going to be, obviously I knew I was trying to get a rotisserie chicken. Like I knew and the lines were like out the door. So I, I, and you told us on the show, I know it's bad, but like we've had snow before. Yeah. But I don't know how do I need to be prepping like as a single woman? I mean, at one point they were saying up to 12 inches. we could get. So, like, if the power goes out in my house, I'm not going to get a generator, right? So what do I do?

Like, turn the oven on and just all hover around the oven. The oven is a bit unsafe. Okay. Do we need to buy candles? Guys, I don't know the answer. Look, now I'm worried. All I know. Yeah, I mean, candles, flashlights, that stuff works.

Make sure your phones are charged. Amy, remember to drip your faucets because you didn't last time. Oh, yeah, no. When my pipes busted, I learned it. I've been dripping my sinks 24 hours all week. She drips them all summer. I am not having that happen again. But the candles and flashlights,

that's not going to keep me warm. How do I keep six people warm in the house? Blankets. You have space heaters? Nope. You got to plug those in? The problem. Unless it's a propane one,

oof, that sounds like trouble. Yeah, but you're like, do I just turn the oven on and sit by it? You have the stove? Yeah, I'm not the guy to ask. Because what we do is we just wear blankets and sit in the bed. Yeah, and you all can. Cuddle.

That sounds nice. My wife doesn't want me to touch her. She's pregnant. She's cold. She's going to want to cuddle. I'm telling you. She's also never cold right now. She's super hot all the time.

Yeah. Well, that's going to come in handy. Yeah. So I don't know how bad it's really going to be, but again, they're acting like it's going to be a significant. And not just us all through from Arkansas, Tennessee, top parts of Georgia, Alabama, all the way into the Carolinas. So maybe our listeners that are used to living in these conditions can like. If they're used to. what they probably have. But they can let us know. What do we do? No, if they're used to it,

they probably have things like a generator. Oh. Well, if they don't. I have a generator, but it powers a lamp. That's the, the most of the powers. Like, you charge it, right? You pull it like a wheat eater? It's not fuel. It's just you charge it. And then once it's charged, you can light up a lamp for like two hours. Oh, okay. Well, you know. But that's it, though. I can't light up the house. I'm not trying to scare everybody. And the reason I don't get. the stuff to actually make it work when it all happens because it never happens. Like once every two years do we have a storm

where everything goes out and then when it's over you go, man, never going to let that happen again. And then four days later you forget about it until the next storm's coming and you can't get anything because everybody's already bought all of them. You know? Anyway, tell me some good big winter storm coming. There you go. That's what it's all about.

Inside Claussen Street Church, 91-year-old Harold and his 90-year-old wife celebrated their love story. They renewed their vows, both over 90 years old, in front of their family and friends.

they met at a skating rink in the 1950s. They eloped in their 20s. They never had a formal wedding until now. So as they renewed their vows, it was actually their first wedding on their 70th wedding anniversary. Surrounded by loved ones who praised their generosity and faith and commitment to each other. They had a wedding.

70 years, right? Like, you go through a bunch of crap. Oh, that's a long time. Yeah, like a lot. Like at some point, they both thought, I wonder if I should get out of this. But then they thought, no, because we're in this, right? Like in 70 years, that happens.

Then they see a UPS driver and they flag them down. Hey, what can Brown do for you? Can you help us save this lady? He yells what can Brown do for you? I'm just thinking that's what they...

You know, because when you see the UPS truck, so the driver of the UPS truck gets out, goes, picks up the 101-year-old woman, carries her out of the house. They couldn't carry her? I guess they couldn't carry her. Maybe it's an old people like community. Like a retirement. Yeah, I don't know.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm like, well, if this guy was able to do it, what were you guys doing? but they did have garden hoses and they were shooting the fire down trying to keep it at bay. You know what Brown did for them. Saved a life. Saved a life. That's right.
