Starting point is 00:03:05 party is in later. But first, let's go talk to Jane, who's in Illinois and calling us now. Jane, good morning. What do you want to say about Lunchbox? Lunchbox, I have a question for you. Do you still consider yourself to be a celebrity and famous? Yes. I mean, why would that change? Nothing has changed. If anything, it's gone up. Okay. I was just making sure. So I know that you really wanted to go on a game show. And I have noticed that when celebrities go on game shows, they don't keep the winnings. They donate them to charity. So I was just wondering what charity are you going to donate your winnings to? That's a great point. If you are a celebrity, celebrities donate their winnings.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Yeah, I'll donate it to my charity. What's your charity? Is it a 501c3 that's tax deductible? I don't know what that means. Yeah, so it's not. It means it's a nonprofit. They don't make money. Well, I mean, I don't. What's your charity? Sorry, I just let you answer it. Yeah, lunchboxes house. Is that like Ronald McDonald's house? Yep. Like I let three kids and a wife stay there and sometimes some relatives. So there is no charity donation? I'm not as rich as those people.
Starting point is 00:04:05 I think some celebrities actually aren't rich at all. They struggle. They just don't want you to know that. They have notoriety. They just don't have money. Yeah, but they don't, if they're struggling, they're not donating to charity. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Jane, you heard it from the horse's mouth. If he wins, he will not donate to charity, which leads us to think he's not a celebrity. If you wanted us to really believe you are a celebrity, and I would refer to you as a celebrity from now to kingdom of. income if you donated the money that you won if you go on games. So if I donate
Starting point is 00:04:37 some of it to charity. Not some of it. All. All of your winnings. But you have to commit beforehand. Do it, dude. Okay. Because you can't go on and win a hundred bucks. Now that Eddie did that, I'm in. But we'll treat you as a celebrity. We'll even interview you on the show. Well, so what's more important to you? Being recognized as a celebrity from us, others, or making money?
Starting point is 00:04:57 Oh, that's tough. I mean... They go hand in hand, right? They go hand and hand and here's the problem is everybody already sees me as a celebrity. You guys are just in denial because you don't want me to get too big of an ego so you don't acknowledge it. We don't want you to get too big of an ego? Yeah, you don't acknowledge it so you're like, oh, you know this will keep
Starting point is 00:05:13 him humble, whatever, so you don't We've never thought you'd be humble. I've never, those words have not ever come out of it. So that's what we'll settle on. If you decide to donate all of your winnings on these game shows that you will go on eventually, we will absolutely
Starting point is 00:05:28 know, refer, treat you like a celebrity. Okay. I'll think about it. But you have to commit beforehand because if you go on and you lose or you go on and you just barely win and that doesn't count. I know. I understand what you're saying. I get it. Jane, thank you for your call. That's a great call and you brought up a, you know, you brought up an interesting decision for lunchboxes to have to make. Well, thank you for having me.
Starting point is 00:05:55 All right. I hope you have an awesome morning. You too. I forgot to say this. She did. But morning studio. Morning! I was fired up by that call. I was fired up by John Party coming in later. John Party's been taking acting classes like Lunchbox has. Have you been to another since we've spoken about it last? No.
Starting point is 00:06:12 You do how many a month? Two or three. Or two or three? Yeah, it just depends. Sometimes you don't get cast. Sometimes you have conflicts. So do you pay money and then you don't get cast? That's what acting is, man. No, no, acting is not pay money and then you don't work. Acting is maybe you just don't work
Starting point is 00:06:27 So you don't get paid Well, yeah So you pay money sometimes And then you don't even get to go to class Well, you can go You can watch You just don't have lines Wow
Starting point is 00:06:37 You would think everybody that paid Would get to do something Be an act I don't know Well, it's hard out here for us actors John Party We'll talk about his acting classes A little later
Starting point is 00:06:51 It's that time of the morning Where we open up the mailbag You send an email and we read it on the air It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag Yeah Hello, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, bobbie bones My name is Liz I'm dating guy right now
Starting point is 00:07:07 I don't know what to think about the fact That he's 32 years old And only takes baths So he's got a great corporate job A nice car, a beautiful apartment It really seems to have his life together But for some reason I can't get over the fact
Starting point is 00:07:22 That he never take showers when I ask him why he told me that he never liked to take him as a kid and only likes to take about two showers a month and that's when he's in a rush. What? I think this is really weird
Starting point is 00:07:36 and I feel like it might be some crazy thing he has with his mom or something. What? He told me he's very close with his mother. I just feel like men don't and shouldn't take baths all the time. On occasion, sure. But not all the time, right?
Starting point is 00:07:49 Is anyone else dating a guy of a married to a guy who only takes baths? Signed Liz. It's weird, but it's not a deal breaker. If you're finding a deal breaker out of his bath habits, then you're wanting a deal breaker somewhere in this. It's weird. I take the occasional bath.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Yeah, occasional. I know, no, but even that I hear, I get crap for. And you know what? I'm okay with that. I like a bath. Maybe one a day even. Get out of here. Maybe, okay, maybe four to five a week.
Starting point is 00:08:25 How about that? Wow. Okay, but you also shower either before or after your bath, don't you? Most times. Yeah, this way, 95% of times I shower. He's just straight bathing. Sometimes I'll shower before and then get in the bath. Yeah, that's smart.
Starting point is 00:08:39 That ruins the warm. Because your body's already adjusted to warm and then you're just getting water that's warm. The move is to take a bath first, but then sometimes you're getting there and it's like, I know. Floating stuff and you're like, I know. Gross. This is what I'm going to say about this, Liz. I don't think you should assign mother issues with him just because he likes to take bats and because he's close to his mom.
Starting point is 00:09:02 And that was a leap. I think as Morgan would say, this is a yellow flag, but I would say a slightly yellow flag. I don't think it's a big deal. It's weird. But let him look at your bathroom habits. I'm sure you got some secret stuff going on that you don't want anybody to know. Yes, it's weird.
Starting point is 00:09:17 But I don't think you cancel a relationship because of it. Morgan, what would you do if you're dating to God and he only takes baths? I mean, yeah, I would definitely find it weird. But if that's the worst thing about him, I mean, I think you're doing pretty great. I think the same thing. I think she's looking for a way out. So we're going to conclude with, yes, it's odd. All odd things aren't bad.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I don't know a single guy who only takes baths. And it's probably from some childhood thing. But I don't think it's worth ending a relationship over if this is why you're ending the relationship. There could be many other real things. So, Liz, we will leave you with that. If you're looking for a reason to break up with them, you have it. Yeah. Break up with them.
Starting point is 00:09:57 You don't want them anyway. But if this is the only thing, you're like everything, but this is perfect, don't let this ruin this relationship. We will always like to say it's weird. And that's from somebody who takes a path four to five times a week. We got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mail pack. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Fun fact Friday. The five most fun facts of the week As brought to you by Amy Number five So the Beatles considered naming their album in 1969 Everest But since no one wanted to go to Tibet
Starting point is 00:10:32 For a photo shoot The album was called Abby Road And they walked right outside the studio Right there That's amazing Isn't that funny? They were like, I don't know Woltanavis
Starting point is 00:10:40 What's the laziest thing we can do Right outside, Paul Mine's terrible Yours is pretty good Thank you Mine is nine Number four. In Singapore, using someone else's Wi-Fi network without their permission is punishable.
Starting point is 00:10:55 By up to three years in prison, a $10,000 fine or both. I wonder if anyone's actually done that and served that time. Or if that's one of those dumb laws like Amy will go, I found the dumb law from Wisconsin. You can't chew gum and close your right eye at the same time. I bet this really has been enforced. I don't know, callers. Callers from Singapore? I checked our podcast numbers.
Starting point is 00:11:15 We ain't that strong over there. Number three. So people who run marathons finish the race about a half an inch shorter than when they started. It's the temporary effect your back muscles have, like, tensing up over the course of the race. How do you get taller, do you think, though? Because the next time I want to go into my driver's license, I want to do that. So if they officially list me at 6-1, because I'm almost there. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Then I can tell Kaylin, no, I'm listed as 6-1. Stop telling me I'm not. You could probably do like a cocktail of things, like go see a chiropractor, go to, go to, a yoga class and then maybe get stretched by someone. All before the DMV. Can you just wear high heels? No. And not tell them. Oh. Interesting. And I don't even know if you get measured at the DMV.
Starting point is 00:11:58 I think you could just tell them and they'll be like, all right. You just write it down. Let me look at my driver's lines. Let's see. If it says 6-2, then you know that you can just tell them. I just told them. It says 6-1. It says sex male height 6-1. Eyes Hazel. So I must have been wearing tall shoes and they believed me. Wow. Because I bet you can't go in and go, I'm 6-4. But if you pull it off,
Starting point is 00:12:20 what if you just are like, no, I'm 6'4 and you're added about it. Like there's this, my daughter was watching this clip on Dr. Phil of this black girl that claims she's Caucasian. She's white.
Starting point is 00:12:32 She's like, I'm white. And my daughter, she's Haitians and she's black and she's like staring of this girl. She's like, mom, I don't know. I can't stop watching this video of this girl. She looks just like me.
Starting point is 00:12:40 But she's saying she's white. I mean, and she's not backing down. Like everyone's trying to tell her otherwise and she just owns it. I'm 6'1. Same as her. Same as the person on that show. Number two. So Jeffrey Dahmer once consumed a sleeping pill-laced drink that he made for a victim by accident. So Jeffrey Dahmer, by the way, is the cannibal guy that killed people.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Yeah. And ate him. Yeah. And so he made a drink for somebody else and accidentally drank it. It reminds me of what's the movie with Andre the Giant? Princess Bride. And they're playing the game to drink the one that's poisonous. Yeah. Except for, yeah, he was intended for a victim, but then he's the one that ended up passing out. Indubly or whatever he says.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Indespeakable. Inconceivable. I knew it's something like that. This is a Jeffrey Dahmer story. That's not funny. That's a terrible story. This is dark. But the guy, the victim lived.
Starting point is 00:13:34 For me. This is good. Stole his clothes, a hundreds of dollars and a watch. Got away with it. So he robbed Jeffrey Dahmer. Wow. I would do. Take some people.
Starting point is 00:13:43 I think I would just run. I don't think I would just run. I don't think I'll rob. I just run. Yeah, that stinks. I don't know. I mean, I was Googling more about this when I, after I read this fun fact, I came across it. Not that fun.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Yeah, it wasn't fun, Amy. No, I know. You're right. This is on Dark Fact Tuesday. Sorry, but it is true. All right. And. Number one.
Starting point is 00:14:03 So the myth that eating carrots can help you see in the dark was invented by the British Air Force during World War II. They were trying to explain how British air raids were. so successful without telling the Germans about the existence of radar. So they didn't want to give radar the credit. So they're like, oh, yeah, we've just been eating a lot of carrots. Do you know that there is something you can do to make you see better in the dark? Just read the story. Oh.
Starting point is 00:14:29 So in on the islands, the guys that are driving their boats that work out there, they run into coral reefs a lot. So, and if you smoke weed, it helps you see at night better. and people always wondered how are they not crashing their boats and they'd always swore by it for years and years and years and apparently it actually does something that allows you to see better at night it messes with your eyes this is in Jamaica Ray what are you nodding at what Steve says yeah Jamaica in Jamaica
Starting point is 00:14:59 they do that a lot over there they do and it but then they tested it and it does help you see better at night which is crazy crazy that's carrots do not yeah so kids no No. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:15:14 No. Bobby Bonesh. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 32nd Skinny. Naomi Cook took to Instagram to announce she's leaving the band Runaway June to pursue her own solo career. She told fans she's excited to share what she's been working on very soon. You can see her full post at Bobby Bones.com. Kylie Morgan shared a new song called Independent with you.
Starting point is 00:15:44 Parker McCollum talked about the time He was almost hit in the face With a beer while on stage It was the last song of the set And as I said far The last word of the song A natural light can hit my microphone I mean had the microphone
Starting point is 00:16:13 I'd have been there It had crushed me in the mouth Full beer And it was a great throw I couldn't even be mad I'm Morgan number two That's your skinny It's time for the good news
Starting point is 00:16:21 With Amy Tell me something good Well shout out to a middle school teacher at a magnet school in Nashville, Miss Lisa Schaefer, because she did something cool with her sixth grade class. They talked about a story where Good Samaritan was leaving money around town somewhere, and her sixth grade class, they decided as a group, they were all going to go do that around Nashville. So they put $5 bills inside Ziplock bags and decided to leave the money near hospitals, humane society locations, and also areas that are frequented by people that are
Starting point is 00:16:55 experiencing homelessness. And inside there was a little note that said, hey, if you need this five bucks, take it. If not, leave it. And then they also left their sixth grade class email address. So just in case someone did take it, they could email them and tell them what they did with it or something. So just a fun little experiment she's doing with their class that's encouraging them to be, you know, kind humans. I like it. I probably wouldn't email in though if I got it because I wouldn't want to be shamed. Why if you needed it? Like, hey, this is so cool. I actually need $5 and I found it. Or I took the $5 and helped someone else with it.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Yeah, maybe. I don't think I would email in though. Yeah. Because they'd be like, you took it. I don't think they would think that. Come on. And it's a way for you to say thank you too if you find it. Bobby, you could be like, I took the five. I doubled down on some basketball games on draft kings.
Starting point is 00:17:43 And then I multiplied it and was able to help more people. That is a good story. Good for that class. Good for that teacher. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. We Googled EasyTree. trivia questions for kids. This is what we got. We're going to play easy trivia. Amy,
Starting point is 00:18:00 your first. What does a thermometer measure? Temperature. That's correct. Remember, it's easy, so if it feels too easy, it probably is. Lunchbox. In the Bible, who built the ark? Noah. Correct. Eddie, what are the three Olympic medals made of? That is gold, silver, and bronze. That's correct. Morgan, what game is played at Wimbledon? Tennis. Correct. So if you miss it, you'll hear this sound right here. You've been boned. And if you're watching, Eddie's wearing a tiara. He is the Easy Trivia champion.
Starting point is 00:18:36 He's won five games. A couple of times. Oh, yeah. You win five games, you're the champion. Yes. And he realized on his tiara, it says Easy Trivia on it. For the first time today, I'd never seen that. So, let's continue on.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Amy, what artist is known as the King of Pop? Michael Jackson? Correct. Lunchbox, who wrote? The Cat and the Hat Dr. Seuss? Correct. Eddie, what's the highest possible bowling score?
Starting point is 00:19:06 300. Correct. Morgan, Justin Timberlake was a member of what band? In sync. Correct. All right, level three, they start to get a little bit harder. Amy, who wrote the Star Spangled Banner? Francis Scott Key.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Correct. Lunchbox, how many wonders of the world are there? Seven Wonders of the world. Nice. Eddie, what animal is known for eating eucalyptus leaves? Eucalyptus? I believe that's a...
Starting point is 00:19:42 Oof. Cuala. Correct. Do you almost say panda? Yep. Both bears. Morgan, what's the Earth's largest ocean? Atlantic Ocean.
Starting point is 00:19:59 You've been bow. Come on. Morgan's out. The answer was Pacific. Just like that, one goes down. It gets a little harder. People start to fall. Amy, what does Cinderella leave on the steps of the palace?
Starting point is 00:20:15 A glass slipper? Correct. Lunchbox, how many cupcakes are in a baker's dozen? Oh, man. Well. Amy, I know that there's 13 donuts, so I'm going to go with 13. Correct. 15 donuts.
Starting point is 00:20:34 Good job. You get a dozen donuts. No, no, a baker's dozen donuts. when you get an extra donut, there's 13. So I didn't know anything about cupcakes, so I just assumed it was the same. Good, good, good. That makes sense. That's what I was doing.
Starting point is 00:20:45 A deep ditch that's filled with water and surrounds a castle is called what, Eddie? A moat. Correct. Amy, what's the world's largest bird? Ostrich. Correct. Lunchbox, what's the last book in the Bible? He going.
Starting point is 00:21:05 See it later, guys. No, you can do it. I have no idea. He's never seen that. I've never seen it. Let's be real. I've been to church my whole life. Catholic, die hard.
Starting point is 00:21:15 St. Albert the Great, shout out. Now he's just saying words. St. Albert the Great. Metric Lane. His whole life. He's even lived in that town in 10 years. And here we are again.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Amy and Eddie. What's the latest book? I mean, Amy, this is not easy. I mean, this is the last book in the Bible lunchbox. Oh, wait. Wait a minute. You can do it. Hold on home.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Let's think about this. Is the New Testament of a book? Because there's the Old Testament, there's the New Testament. What's the last book in the Bible? Stop talking, dude. You know what? For the heck of it, let's go Genesis. Incorrect.
Starting point is 00:21:53 It's literally the first. That's the first one. I don't know. That's okay, though. The answer is Revelation. Oh, Eddie didn't say it. Do you see how Eddie said? Like I was an idiot, but he didn't chime in.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Eddie knows it. You didn't know that. Sure I did. You didn't. You're lying out of your teeth. Okay, let's go Eddie, what's the largest member of the cat family? Huh?
Starting point is 00:22:17 I mean, it could be a lion or a tiger. Which one's bigger, though? Gosh. The zoo, they seem like they're the same size. That's a pretty tough one. Pretty tough question as far as, like, this round is tougher. Man, Bengal Tigers, I feel like they are huge. But let's go with lion.
Starting point is 00:22:42 I feel like lions are the... Oh, I feel like lions are the monster. Come on. You've been booed. No! I'm on again! It's a tiger. It's a tiger.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Let's go, Amy. Amy's got two wins on the season. Nobody's got a single win, but Amy's this season. Two in a row, Amy. That's good. What are you been doing? I don't know. Just focusing more.
Starting point is 00:23:13 One? Just digging deep. Try nothing to get. She's saying generic things. Like, I just been given 100%. I don't know. It's been putting them all. Yeah, easy trivia is tricky.
Starting point is 00:23:25 I mean, some days you got it, some days you don't. Great job. Super happy to be here. Amy, with two wins, three away from that tiara. A lot of pressure right here. It is. That's it. A voicemail we got last night.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Hey, Bobby. Hey, studio. Just driving from Virginia to Kentucky to visit my family, and you guys kept me awake tonight. I appreciate your show and everything you do. I appreciate that. Man, night driving. If you're a little sleepy, tough. You roll your window down, you scream, you stick your head out. Loud music.
Starting point is 00:23:56 I mean, it's everything. So if we can help with that, that's awesome. Here is the next voicemail. Hey, get some concert on my. Take up a big fan. They're the John Mary concert. Oh. You're fine.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Okay, bye. That's cool. I love that. That's funny. Also, it's worse song. What? Oh, it's so good, bones. Come on.
Starting point is 00:24:23 That's because you guys aren't real fans. Yes, no. We know other songs. Not real fans love the hits. No. The bubble gum tongue, but that's great. That just makes me think of...
Starting point is 00:24:31 I change it. College. I dislike that song. And John Mayer is one of my favorite favorite ever. And I dislike that song. Yeah. Well, he posers. Here is the next one.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Weirdo. You guys were talking about things that you would like. To see more of, things you don't like. I would tell you the thing that I would like to see or hear less of is Lunchbox's negativity. He's got his bitch. He's funny when he's doing pranks. But his negativity is just.
Starting point is 00:24:54 just completely opposite from the show. Love the games. Love to see you guys do that. And I would love to see you guys bring back rejected segments. Anytime that's a tagline on the podcast, I immediately jump to it to listen to it. Thanks, guys. Love the show. All right.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Mike, would you, for next week, get a rejected segments? It's always funny. It always hurts a few feelings. We have to relive what didn't get picked for the show. Probably got a lot of them in there. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So would you own up to your restaurant bill if it was wrong? If it comes out, one item's missing.
Starting point is 00:25:24 saying, do you just sign the check? You're like, okay, no big deal. Or do you contact the waiter and be like, oh, I didn't get charged for something? I'm going to be honest. I don't look. Oh, really? Mm-mm. If I did notice, I probably would say something because I wouldn't want the waiter to get in trouble.
Starting point is 00:25:41 I wouldn't make it about me. I don't think I'm going to heaven because I go, hey, my pudding's not on here. But I wouldn't want the waiter to get in trouble as someone who waited tables for a long time. Well, a study was done, and customers were invited to a restaurant where they could order two, items at the end of the meal. The bill came out. So it's like only two items, easy to see. One of the two items was missing and more than half of the customers did not flag the issue with the bill. And women were way more likely to be honest about the mistake. Okay, I believe that. This is my move at a restaurant because I like to go in and eat as soon as I get there and I like to leave as close
Starting point is 00:26:19 to my final bite as possible. So sometimes, and why I don't always look at the check, I will just give them my card when they bring the entree. So they bring something and they take something. Ah, yeah. Therefore, my check comes to me when I'm halfway through my entree, so on that last bite, I'm out the door. So this doesn't affect me, but I would if I knew, because again, I wouldn't want to get them in trouble. Right. Survey in the room, would you guys, Eddie? Uh, no. Lunchbox. No chance. All right, there you have it. And that's more than half. Yep. All right. So two things. One, Lindsay Lohan joined TikTok. So people are excited about maybe some content they're going to see from her. And second thing is she revealed we've all been saying her name wrong all these years. Okay, let me guess what it is. Lindsay Lahan. Oh, that's a good guess.
Starting point is 00:27:06 I don't know. Here we go. Hey, everyone, it's Lindsay Lohen and guess what? Now I'm on TikTok. So we say Lohan, but yeah, it's Lohen. So follow Lindsay Lohen on TikTok. I'm not calling her that. It's too late now. Well, everybody's been saying mine I'm wrong forever too. It's Bonez. Bobby boness. Yeah. So Kane Brown was talking about his man cave and he said it's actually more of like a man
Starting point is 00:27:28 arena because there's a garage for his cars, a gym for working out, a basketball core and a sports bar. And obviously working out is something super important to him. And he was quoted in this article saying that his goals for his body is to be his security
Starting point is 00:27:44 guard security guard. You could. And Kane and I follow each other on Instagram and he will post these things in his story where it's like today in the workout, Kane lifted the amount of a tractor. He has some kind of app or something that measures what he's work in doing. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:27:58 Like today's workout, Kane lifted a tank. Like, of everything he did all together. Yeah, yeah, combined. Yeah. That's funny. Yeah, so he's quite physically fit, yes. I made me, that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:28:13 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay home there's something good. There's a family in Alvard, Texas. They're asleep when the two-year-old walks in and goes, Mama, Mama, hot. Mama, Mama, hot. She's like, what?
Starting point is 00:28:29 Go back to bed. Mama hot. Well, the kitchen was on fire, and the two-year-old had smelled the smoke, woke up, went and woke up mom and dad, and they were able to get the whole family out. No injuries. Eddie, what would your two-year-old have done?
Starting point is 00:28:43 Mama hot. Really? Yeah, I mean, that's kind of how he talks anyway. Just like, hot, gold. What do you have made a big deal to tell you? I think so. So, yeah, I mean, I think he's knowledgeable enough to, I mean, if he's looking for toothpaste, we somehow figure out he's looking for toothpaste. But would he know something's wrong?
Starting point is 00:28:58 Yes. My man, he's three now. He just turned three. He's super smart. So, yes, I think he would alert us to something important like that. Does everyone think their kid is super smart? Yes, because my two-year-old is a genius. It seems like everyone is just like, oh, well, my kid's super smart.
Starting point is 00:29:14 And I do that with the dogs now. But I just, everyone thinks their person's really smart, right? My kids are. Yeah, man, they're smart. Just checking, making sure. They are, they are, though. Even when they're not. They're kind of smart.
Starting point is 00:29:27 No, I mean, people tell me. Okay, yeah, yeah, I hear you. Okay, that's what it's all about. Great story. That was Tell Me Something Good. John Party in studio in just a few minutes. First, Amy's Morning Corny. Morning Corny!
Starting point is 00:29:46 How did the Tupperware lady escape from jail? How did the Tupperware lady escape from jail? They couldn't contain her. That was the morning corny You guys can leave us voicemails all the time Our podcast listening is as big as our live listening Here's one from last night I was wondering if you could explain everyone's role
Starting point is 00:30:10 And exactly what exactly they do Because I know their job titles I just don't know exactly what everyone does Thanks guys take care We'll try to be brief here You know my role Amy Co-hosts
Starting point is 00:30:23 the host. You know her role. Eddie, there's a little nuance to your role. Go ahead. Man, I gotta do everything. Okay, just, let's talk about. Who are you? The video guy, you know, I edit videos, and then I talk with you guys every day. Then I help scuba with a lot of stuff.
Starting point is 00:30:38 You do? Yeah, all the time. Like what? Videos. Videos. That's your job. That's your job. I thought it was to keep it brief.
Starting point is 00:30:45 Like, I could have gone on a laundry list. Lunch bikes. MVP, I just do a little bit of everything. I help scuba. I help Eddie. I help Amy. me. I make you guys look good. I make everybody laugh. Thanks, man. Do you help?
Starting point is 00:30:57 These guys. Yeah. Does he help? You guys? No, never. Scoba, you're getting all this help? I didn't know, but no one's helping me. I mean, not the, I mean, not in what they think. Okay. Scoba, what do you do? So, executive producer, I do a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Exactly. No, I do a lot. I think the best way to put it is you, you phrase it, the fullback, kind of punting and making sure, you know, have to deal with a lot of crap. And making sure we're good and we're set.
Starting point is 00:31:19 Okay, okay, football positions. Yeah, let's do positions. Nice. I'll give you guys. football position. Okay. I am the quarterback. Amy is the running back. Lunchbox is a wide receiver.
Starting point is 00:31:32 Eddie is... Come on. Come on. Kicker. 88. Yeah, probably the punter. Put me 8080 on the other side, right? Maybe slot receiver?
Starting point is 00:31:39 Edelman? Eddie's probably like a middle linebacker. Okay. I play defense. It's important. No, it's not the down. It's not down. Scuba is the head coach.
Starting point is 00:31:48 I put it... Oh, that's good. Yeah. Ray is the kid watching. with his parents. Like doing a lot. Morgan's the person running all the sound up in the box running for everything. All right, thank you.
Starting point is 00:32:03 As you can see, we can't even answer the dang question. I don't know. All right, John Party coming in just a few minutes. We'll do the mailbag next. Mike D. Mike D draws your plays. Yes. Offensive coordinator.
Starting point is 00:32:12 Mike D is offensive coordinator for sure. That's a good one. Mike D's offensive coordinator. John Party's walking in right now. You might know John Party from this massive song right here. Or this massive song right here Or this massive song right here She was a heartache on the day
Starting point is 00:32:33 He's got a brand new song He was coming in last week To kind of promote it But he got sick And so he's coming in and out Here he is John Party The Friday morning conversation With John party
Starting point is 00:32:45 We had betting odds on if you'd make it I made it You did I made it last time last week You're supposed to be here and you got sick You good? I don't need to know what happened. I mean, I know what happened. We don't need to share. But are you good?
Starting point is 00:32:56 Yeah, no, I lost a couple LBs. You know, food poisoning's real. Okay. You said it. So let's talk about it for a second. What did you eat? I mean, I don't want to throw the restaurant. No, you don't have to, but what food product was it? Seafood? No, it was chicken. Oh, that hurt. That's tough. And sometimes, you know, it could be like just a little bit rare, and it just gets in there.
Starting point is 00:33:22 It was bad. It was bad. I'm not going to lie. Do you feel like because you're a cowboy and you wear the cowboy hat out at dinner, when you order a steak, you must order it real manly because you're a big guy, you know, rough exterior, John Party, you get to do manly orders? No. No.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Okay. All right. Well, there you have it. All right. We'll see him next week, guys. I do. I mean, I like medium rare plus is good or medium rare, but the guys are like, I need it rare. I'm like, hmm.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Wait, what's medium rare plus? It's... Whatever it is, it's fru-frou. I've never even heard that. It's like just a little bit over medium rare. Okay. Would you send your food back if it's not perfect? I send it back if it's cold because no matter what, you don't go to a restaurant to have cold food.
Starting point is 00:34:07 We can have cold food at the house. I do that all the time. You know, like the sandwich meat, just get in there. No sandwich, just eat the ham. You don't go to the restaurant to eat sandwich meat is what you're saying. Basically. We went to dinner. Caitlin and I went to dinner a couple weeks ago, and they brought out a steak.
Starting point is 00:34:22 went to a new place in town and it was just like mediumy warm like it wasn't hot like it should have been but it wasn't cold how much was it more than it should have been exactly that's why it needs to be warm that's why you send it back that's my only right i'll eat i'll eat a i'll eat a steak that because by the time you get your food to nashville you're usually pretty hungry and but if it comes out cold you're like come on man you got one job that's that you know that's like that slogan you had one job well just had to warm the food and i get it and now and Nashville's crazy packed. You know, all the restaurants are booming and, you know, they're short staff,
Starting point is 00:34:58 so there's a lot of ends and out. But you know what? There's always a microwave. In the restaurant. Some, there's always good. And we don't have to know it's even microwave. We can think it's been put on the fancy oven. Put it in there for a minute for me.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Yeah, that was a situation where I did not send it back because it was kind of warm, but I was like, I sure would have loved this to be a little hotter. John Parties here, by the way, the new song we World Premier. It's called Last Night Lonely. It was an IHart Country World Premier, and we were going to come in a big celebrate. We had balloons for you. You're just our guy. Yeah, with the whole thing. We had balloon animals.
Starting point is 00:35:28 Bullen animals. Puppies. Is the whole thing. Pepit abysmo. Well, that we didn't have. So tell me about this song. Where'd you find it? What happened? Well, Bart Butler, my co-producer, sent me his track, and
Starting point is 00:35:41 I liked it right from the get-go. I loved the feel, what it talked about, loved the lyrics. He kind of was like, it's kind of like a similar to a night shift, but it's different. You know, we're kind of just looking for for songs that, you know, are awesome. And we just found this one.
Starting point is 00:35:59 We had it. I think we recorded this last year in, like, April. So it's been, we've had it for a minute. And we still have songs on hold that I've written, other song I've written that were getting ready to finally get the album done. So it's finally, it's fun to see it come out and, you know, come to life. So I'm really proud of it. And a lot of young writers on this, and it's fun.
Starting point is 00:36:23 They sent me a little video. They're like, we love you, John Party! And it was just, it's fun because I was like, thanks for a song, guys. But it just, it goes full circle. You mentioned you were looking for a song that was awesome. Do you ever look for songs that aren't awesome? You're like, guys, when you kind of a mediocre to slightly less than mediocre? Try not to get there.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Yeah, I think so. That's, you know, when I write songs, I could just be like, I can have a mediocre song. I always write it. If you wanted a mediocre, well, I'd just write it. If you wanted a mediocre when you just ride it yourself. Yeah, yeah, of course. Hey, so you used to work at a Ford dealership. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:56 What did you do there? I washed cars. I'd shuttle people to and from, and also I would listen to what the mechanic wanted me to listen to. Like, drive, okay, drive 10 minutes down the road, highway and back, see if this thing does this, or if this breaks down or a check engine light comes on. Because it was kind of like through the final, you know, he fixed everything and he don't have time to drive down the road. So it was a fun job to have in high school. Did you learn a lot about cars doing that job? No, because they were new cars.
Starting point is 00:37:27 I mean, you know how new cars at the time. We work on like CJ7s, but at the time, that was in the 2000s. So once the computers get in there, it's really hard. You got to go to school to learn about that. But, you know, you learn how to change the tire, you know, put air, what air, and like stuff that, you know, I already knew, but like some people didn't and checking oil and I know a lot about car parts
Starting point is 00:37:52 now. Yeah, can you fix you have a lot of machines that you, random machines in and out of your property because you've been clear in land since before I met you.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Is this land ever going to be cleared? Well, I get busier and busier. Yeah, yeah, I'm just, yeah. So, you've been clearing land.
Starting point is 00:38:07 Do you know, if one of your machines, tractors, whatever goes out, can you fix it? They're pretty complicated too because they're brand new.
Starting point is 00:38:16 The thing I've been learning is like on a skid steer you know they got the rubber tracks and sometimes you know you learn how to tighten them and if they do pop off it's like a puzzle to get it back on and it is a pain but it feels like a fitted sheet trying to get a fitted sheet back on a bed in a way it accepts it weighs like a thousand pounds yeah an extremely fitted sheet yes but uh for the most part a lot of you know you can ask any any guys in construction stuff unless you're running older equipment you're going to have to call a mechanic just because there's a lot of like my my my My dad was the funniest.
Starting point is 00:38:51 He's like, I'll fix that belt. And I was, all right. So I had the mechanic drop the belt off. And then I left to go right. And I was like, this is your project. You know, you got this. You can fix anything, right? He called me, I can't fix it, man.
Starting point is 00:39:05 He's like, well, then we brought the mechanic out, and you had to take the radiator out to get to the fan belt. So that's like, if you know anything about cars, that's kind of, if you're working on an old school car, the fan belt's, you know, right there. The radars right here, but no, you'd take the radiator out, change the fan belt, put the radar back in. That's like a full day work. So, weird stuff.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Do you think he was embarrassed that he couldn't fix it? He was kind of bum, but he's like, but then he gets like, damn news. Damn new tractors you can't work on. John Party's here at John Party, J-O-N-P-A-R-D-I. You, and Lunchboxes too, you guys are both taking acting classes. Are you still in the middle of taking them, or do you just take them for fun? I took them for fun. I mean, I need to get back with Bridget.
Starting point is 00:39:53 But I haven't really been doing anything but writing and focusing on the new record. Can we talk about the acting classes for a second? Yeah. Super weird stuff. He's also been taking acting classes. And so I'd like to compare the two. Who is Bridgett? Bridget Burrith, I think, yes.
Starting point is 00:40:11 She's your teacher? Yeah. Does she do one-on-one? Coach, yeah. She would come to your house? I go to her house, and she'll come. come to my house. Okay, and here's what Launchbox is doing.
Starting point is 00:40:21 He pays, how much a month? 300. 300 bucks a month to get on Skype with, how many people? There's like 12 to 15, depending. And then you read what? We read like sitcoms or movies, we read scripts. So for 300 bucks a month,
Starting point is 00:40:35 he doesn't see anyone in person, he does it on Skype, and he reads scripts from the office. Or CSI Miami. Do you feel like what he's doing Did yours cost $300 a month? No, it's way more than that.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Oh, it is way more. Yeah, but it's worth it. Okay, okay. See, we're getting somewhere. There you go. You guys said I was getting ripped off. Would you pay $300 a month to get on Skype and read scripts from? No.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Okay, hold on. He's painting this in a bad picture. COVID hit so you can't meet in person. You can now and you're still doing it. They voted as a class and we're not comfortable. They voted as a class and they said they didn't want to meet. They weren't comfortable. So we still don't.
Starting point is 00:41:16 do it on Skype, Zoom, whatever you want to call it. But when it gets to the clear stage, we'll meet in person. I don't understand. The clear stage, we're all running around no problem now. You have to be a part of that class that boat. Do you ever have to act out your lines? Yes. And like, do the whole like, in, big.
Starting point is 00:41:37 Or like, this is just really small words. Yeah, he's exaggerate. He's asking if you do exercises or do you just get on and read the script. Oh, we can do if you want to set the, that up you can. It costs extra money like she said. But she gives you feedback like whenever you do a scene or whatever, she'll write up a
Starting point is 00:41:54 recap like, oh, you need to work on this, work on that so you can sit in your mirror and practice or video yourself, send clips. So there's all sorts of avenues to do that. Don't sound too bad. See, thank you. And this is coming from another actor. Okay. Was your desire when you did have time for the acting the coaching? Was that for
Starting point is 00:42:12 your music videos or do you want to pursue acting or? It was It was honestly just something that I haven't done yet, and it was always like, you should at least try it, you know, and see what it's like, because you do have to get out of your shell. Like, it's a different avenue, and it's just, it was fun, and you kind of, you could learn to read a little better. The thing with me is when I do auditions, I get nervous, and I'll, you know, I can sing
Starting point is 00:42:42 90 minutes worth of songs, but, man, if I got to one, you know, I'd be able to one. little line and I mess I'll get nervous and I'll forget it or I'll mess it up and but you've auditioned for things yeah like on Yellowstone like no no no no you don't have to say what you audition for unless you would like to but what kind of things are you auditioning for uh well there's a I don't know if I could even say it but there's a new series coming out and they they asked me if I want to send an audition tape I was like sure it it kind of I was like I could do this and didn't get the part and that's look that's a hundred percent and they're probably like
Starting point is 00:43:15 99% is a no. Yeah. But if you turn it in, at least you're serious, you know, because a lot of artists or whoever have like this whole other side of their career that they can bring into a series or something. That's what you have, but, you know, you got to be good. But I put the audition in. I got a high five from a couple guys that kind of, you know,
Starting point is 00:43:40 push my name out there, and that was a win for me. I tried it. And when you said about lessons, I was like, I definitely need to get back because Bridget was like, you need to come back more. I was like, we can't just come when you got an audition. I was like, I know, I know. And we focus a lot on theater, and theater is very hard. And it's out of my shell. It's not like watching Yellowstone, you know, like, hey, get, what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:44:05 Steve going to take my land. But theater's like, you know, you have to be really expressive and it's way out, you know. So to your question Anything to push myself in a place I haven't been Get out of my shell I'm all about that And if you get an audition At least you got a coach to help you And you know you just never know
Starting point is 00:44:26 I mean Bob you're one of the most hardest working guys I know You do it all So maybe that's why I was like Maybe I'll try some audition stuff You never know Lunchbox wants to move to Hollywood and be an actor But he won't stop just doing it on Zoom with other people
Starting point is 00:44:39 No I will stop when the time comes When we gets that point, I will go to the classes in person. I don't know why you guys yelling at me. Nobody's yelled at them. Nobody's yelled. Not a single word has been... We're just encouraging you. We're just encouraging you.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Lunchbox, you're still trying. That's right. You're still at. Yeah, you do more than I am. But I got to write an album and stuff. Yeah, what's happening with that? New music when? Or do you know when?
Starting point is 00:45:01 Our goal is to have a new album out in September. So we have our deadlines. Whole album in September? Yeah. Wow. That's pretty quick, considering you put out songs first. Yeah, well, we'll, we already got stuff recorded.
Starting point is 00:45:13 It just is a process. So I like to do, I call them like the A session and the B session, and if we need a C session, we do that, and then we kind of get together, sing all songs, pick all songs, put all together, give it to the label. They do all the licensing and these stuff that takes forever, and then boom, then it's like going crazy on release days, you know, you get the whole week of doing media and calling everybody. So it's a big deal. You have an alcohol now
Starting point is 00:45:43 Party batch spirits Ultra Premium Bourbon and Whiskey Do you know the difference in bourbon in whiskey? I do not I'd have to I know what it tastes like So you could taste
Starting point is 00:45:56 Yeah I'd just Tasted it and I said this is really good And that's all I need to hear I'm gonna start drinking just because of this No No this is it I've been waiting for a reason this is it What if I said John
Starting point is 00:46:07 Come over at the house I haven't had a drink before Me and you, we're going to drink party batch spirits, ultra-premium bourbon and whiskey, which you can go to partybatch spirits.com for locations. And I say, all that to you. And I say, I want to have them first drink. I've come with, like, a waiver or some kind of contract. This is not my fault.
Starting point is 00:46:27 You are over 21. And I'd probably pour you one glass of the 112 because it is really nice. I know, but that's a, like, bourbon or whiskey, like, for your first drink is like, yeah, I know. Definitely. I would, I mean, maybe a glass and wine to start with. No, that's not the rule. You know what?
Starting point is 00:46:46 You've gone this long, Bobby. Just keep on the sober train. The rule is, I say, John, I would like to have some party batch spirits, ultra-premium bourbon and whiskey, which you can get at partybatch spirits.com for locations. And I want to have a whole glass. Yes or no. That's it. Not a whole glass.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Then, okay, then it's a no. That's like, I mean, it's high-octane stuff. Then it's a no. The bourbon stuff, they're getting into the 1-30s and the 1-30s and 1-30s. 40s and it's crazy. Do people instantly recognize you if you just stop and stop at the gas station? No, not yet. But I do sneak around without my cowboy hat.
Starting point is 00:47:24 I think that's it. It's like if I don't wear my darkroom glasses, nobody anywhere says a word. As soon as I put these on, it's pretty frequent. I think it's the same thing with your cowboy hat. We almost have something we can take off of us that allows us. You just kind of get the question mark. Is that him? They pull up your picture on the phone.
Starting point is 00:47:47 They're like judging it next to you. But you do wear the cowboy hat out at fancy dinners. I mean, I love wearing a hat. It's a part of me. It's not a tool, as I would call it, where it's just, no, this is what I do on country music. I wear this outside. You know, a lot of times I have my hat on all the time. You just can't see me.
Starting point is 00:48:05 You know, it's just like that Crystal Dew song. You can't see him from the road because they're always, working or we're fixing fences or dealing with these damn cows. And like, it's a thing. But when I go out, sometimes I got to go to tractor supply. Well, I don't want to switch my hat. Let me tell you, I love tractor supply. Let me tell you why I love tractor supply.
Starting point is 00:48:21 I love traffic supply. Yeah. And we can talk on this for a second because they have a little bit of everything. Got everything. We need a grill? You got a grill? You got a grill? Tractor supplies got it. Your cat?
Starting point is 00:48:32 Or your cat? Or your cat. I think some people need to go to tractor supply to buy tractors. And you got lawnmores? They got lawnmores. Exactly. That counts as a tractor. Tractor supply has pretty much everything.
Starting point is 00:48:42 It's like you're going into a, like a market, like a farmer's market, but of things that you could normally just use at your house. Yep. And tools and tractor grease and hydraulic oil. Which I don't ever go there for. I don't know what even that is. I'll be honest. Diesel tanks, five gallon.
Starting point is 00:48:57 Nope. Not checking that box. I dropped, hey, you got a diesel tank. I dropped it off at your house. I do. And I have no idea what to do with it. But it is there. John showed.
Starting point is 00:49:07 John brings firewood to the house It's awesome Like a lot And then just shows up And I don't pay him I was like Do you have a subscription I don't know
Starting point is 00:49:17 It's like a month of service He's just there And he's like I got firewood Hey you probably still got firewood Right It's so much He brought so much Firewood last time
Starting point is 00:49:24 I brought him a whole truck bed Because I was like look Excuse me The allergy season It is man It's rough Yeah But I was like
Starting point is 00:49:34 You're gonna Okay if I brought you A little cord of wood, you're going to burn it all, and then you're going to want more wood. So I was like, I loaded up the whole eight-foot bed, brought it to you, dropped out, and you still got it. Because you're outside fire pits, cool. And you need wood. Thank you. Okay. That's why I brought so much. John Party, got a new song. We've put the timetable that we hope to have a full record out by September. That's the goals. We can go to partybatch spirits.com for locations to find John's
Starting point is 00:50:04 premium party batch spirits. Now, are you making good money off this alcohol yet? Has that happened? Do you have to sell a certain amount before you start getting paid? I have no clue. Yeah, classic. We do sell a lot of cases, though. Do you sell them on tour?
Starting point is 00:50:19 Can you sell alcohol? Really? We try to, every venue we try to get party batch in, and the fans love it, and they like drinking it, or they like just having it on the shelf, you know, and to each his own. But we do sell a lot of cases. We just went online and that day it sold out because we only got 19 states.
Starting point is 00:50:39 There's a lot of weird liquor loss. So that's why I don't get too into it because I'm just a face. You know. Thumbs up guy. Party batch 112. You know, but it is good. Like I'm not just, I would never, I never wanted to be in the liquor business. I never moved the Nashville.
Starting point is 00:50:55 I'm dreaming of becoming into the whiskey and bourbon business. I just got approached with a good opportunity and the guys really care of. about what they're making. It's made in Tennessee. And I tasted it, and I said, dang, this is good. It's like, I'm definitely going to be a part of this. So it's very new to me,
Starting point is 00:51:12 and I've never been a salesman from stage, like, to be like, make sure you drink Party Batch 112 on the way out, you know, or I used to be like, buy a T-shirt. But it's just different. So I'm still learning. What I like about what you just did is, you talked about how much that you're not used to being a salesman,
Starting point is 00:51:29 yet you said the name of the product 19 times and said the website. So, like, you got us. She pulled one over on us. Yeah. Well, you know, I admire that about you. I'm learning. One final question.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Someone told me that you did not like sweets at all. I'm not a huge sweet guy. But you do like some sweets. Yeah, a little bit. What dessert will you eat at a restaurant? Oh, at a restaurant, cramblee or carrot cake. Very specific. He's like not what I was picturing at all.
Starting point is 00:52:01 He's like, I won't touch it. unless it's cream roulet or curicates. I mean, that's pretty good options, though. I'm not going to lie. It's pretty good. Just the candy stuff. I'm not really into candy and not... Like Eminem's, peanut Eminem's, nothing?
Starting point is 00:52:14 I mean, I like Eminem's, peanut. I'm okay, that's what I like it. I just don't go after it all the time. It's not like stop at the gas station and grab a little pack of candy. Like you choose salty over sweet. I choose Gatorade most of the time. It's going to give me Gatorade. That's a dessert?
Starting point is 00:52:32 Well, it's still got sugar in it. I just don't have, you know, lost shit. And I like weird, I like weird candy, like, good and plenty. What? People think I'm so crazy. They'll look like black layers candy, but it's so good to me. Why? Did you have it as a kid, like your grandmother or someone had it? I have no clue why I like it.
Starting point is 00:52:48 Oh. That's like that purple and white box. He's like, I love chicken livers. I'll be like, give me that and a couple packs of water. I'm going to go. And I loved lemon heads as a kid. You know, I can do a lemon head occasionally, or I'll stop at the gas station and get They have fireballs, the atomic fireballs and like the backs of their...
Starting point is 00:53:05 My mom loves fireballs. Loves fireball. Okay. John Pardy, it's our guy. Got a new song out. He's feeling better. If I could only tell you. Well, you tried to tell me after...
Starting point is 00:53:20 John called after the show that day. It was like, hey, I'm really sick. And he told me what was happening. And I was like, I'm good, buddy. I don't need to know. I don't know. I think you also, didn't you want to clarify, like, it wasn't alcohol-related. Like, you weren't hung over.
Starting point is 00:53:32 No, no, no. I wouldn't hung over. It was, it was, because, you know, like, that's kind of a thing. Oh, here comes a country artist. Here comes John. He's been at losers. But no, I was like, I had twisty, like, somebody was in my stomach, just like, and it's just not fun. I'd be sitting here and you'd be like, talking to me, and it'd be like, and I'm glad we didn't.
Starting point is 00:53:56 Yeah, glad we didn't. Because the breathing wouldn't have been an issue. Good luck on the music. Good luck on the auditions. I know, yeah, I can't wait to see you. Here's my pick. I think it was probably, if I'm guessing, it was probably that show on Fox.
Starting point is 00:54:11 The one about the country family. Oh, yeah, with Susan Sarandon. Yeah, it looks like a little corny, but it looks like maybe it could also be really good, like that fine line. I think it could have been that show. No. Or the new, it's not 1883, but like 1913,
Starting point is 00:54:24 the new show. I'll tell you what it is. It's with Jessica Chastain and, has names Michael, but it's the new George Jones. owns and Tameda Wynette series. Oh, yeah. Cool.
Starting point is 00:54:36 Who were you trying to be? I was, see, I can't remember. He's, uh, George's producer. And like, like, I was like, those are,
Starting point is 00:54:44 I mean, forget what did the guy's name? Michael, he's, uh, so we've heard of the, we know the show and it's going to come out. I mean, it's just, Jessica Chastain.
Starting point is 00:54:51 I mean, that's, it's not like, those are, and they're singing all their parts. Like they're doing, they're really, they're going like,
Starting point is 00:54:57 Waukeen Phoenix walked the line. So I was like, hey, at least give it a shot, no, I mean, I've been told to know a bunch of times. But I just thought they asked me to get shit in an audition and why not.
Starting point is 00:55:12 So it wasn't for any of those shows you said. So he killed my whole bit and we'll wrap it there. Good to see you, John, glad you're better. Very good to you. Congratulations on the new song. It really is great. Oh, thank you.
Starting point is 00:55:23 There he is. John Pardy, everybody. Ready to go. Always a fun time. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Scott Thompson
Starting point is 00:55:35 accidentally fell out of his boat while out on the Pacific Ocean and then he watched his boat sail off into the distance because he couldn't get back to it which has to be so helpless Lost at sea, you can't see land He started to freak out like I mean the ocean is so big
Starting point is 00:55:52 He's like is this it for me So he heard a splash And that splash was a dang seal And the seal helped him What? How? He grabbed the seal And he wrote it
Starting point is 00:56:02 The splash was a seal that Scott described as an angel that came to help him. He said it was a medium-sized harbor seal and it would go underwater and he came up and nudged me like a dog comes up and nudges your leg. After being pushed along by the seal Scott felt determined to swim to the nearest
Starting point is 00:56:17 oil platform which was far but closer than land. He was freezing, he was exhausted, he reached the platform five hours later, cruise aboard the oil platform rendered aid, the Coast Guard got him to a hospital where he was treated for hypothermia and more.
Starting point is 00:56:33 Wow. That's crazy. This is Jonah and the whale. But it's... What's his name? That's a seal. Scott in the seal. This is crazy. Yes, Amy?
Starting point is 00:56:44 I don't know. Or what you could do is if you're Scott and you just made this one by yourself, you make the story up and then you have the rights to sounds pretty cool. God, man, now you got me thinking, is this even real? Or was he hallucinating? Oh, no. I'm like I saw a mermaid. Yeah, because at like a few hours it seems, starts seeing things. Yeah, that saltwater gets to you.
Starting point is 00:57:02 I'm going to take it that it was. real and there was a seal. Yeah. The dang thing was like nudging them along. That is crazy. That is crazy. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:57:13 All right, let's go over and check in on the big stories. Bobby's Big. Stories. A four-year-old fired at police officers as his father was being taken into custody. The four-year-old opened fire on police after his father told him to do so during his arrest. Whoa. A lot of trauma here. First of all, just a crazy story.
Starting point is 00:57:34 But once you look into a deeper, this poor kid is always going to have that apart him. And hopefully he can find and work it out through, yes, help. Help and positive influence. The child who fired the gun at the police was in the backseat with his three-year-old sibling. The employees at the Midvale, Utah McDonald's, called police who said the man refused to exit the vehicle
Starting point is 00:57:56 and had to be pulled from the car. The officer, thank goodness, who sustained a minor injury in the, arm realized it was a kid who had fired and alerted the other officers. The father was identified as a 27-year-old guy. He was then charged with not only for what they had him for, but child abuse because of that situation. That's just a weird one.
Starting point is 00:58:18 The headline's weird and sad. A four-year-old opened fire on police after his dad told him to. Ooh, that is from insider. Just hoping the kid gets some positive influence and some good help because he is going to need it. Dennis recommend. Stop using teeth whitening strips. Why?
Starting point is 00:58:36 Oh, feels like that. Maybe that's a personal? Defensive. Uh-huh. She jumped quick at that one. Mm-hmm. In recent studies, Dennis professionals found that hydrogen peroxide,
Starting point is 00:58:46 the active ingredient in many popular whitening products, can damage teeth by weakening the bone-like tissue beneath the tooth. Ooh, I've actually gargled with hydrogen peroxide. Especially if you're constantly exposing your teeth to it. I've gargled with peroxide. Mm-hmm. I don't know why. Maybe you have a cut.
Starting point is 00:59:03 Sort of throat. Yeah, that's what it is. A cut. Yeah. In the back of the throat. Yeah. So, but they say it's just not once. If you do anything once or pylon.
Starting point is 00:59:13 Yeah. But it's over and over again. I used to. Well, even once. Oh, no, man. We had, like, we had I heart country vests in Austin or something, and I traveled with hydrogen and proxite in a little water bottle, like a tiny, or I traveled with it, and I poured it into a little tiny eight-ounce water bottle thing.
Starting point is 00:59:31 And my husband got, woke up in the morning and went over to the bathroom and chugged it thinking it was water. And he swallowed it all. And it was hydrogen peroxide. We had to call our friend that's a doctor. And like we were about to call, like on the, we were about to be Googled like a hazardous hotline to see what we needed to do. She's Googling Skoll and Crossbones Hotline. What is it?
Starting point is 00:59:51 Yeah. Yeah, that's crazy. He can drink it. He just woke up and chugged. Still, though, my first swallow if it burns, Yeah. Unlike what water. I'm like, oh, hold on.
Starting point is 01:00:02 Yeah. But he hit it hard. I would think it's like club soda or something like sparkling water, right? Even then I wouldn't chuck. I can't chug Pellegrino without being like, ow. I know. He likes to ring up. That was the time I almost killed him.
Starting point is 01:00:13 He's a much manlier man than I could ever dream to be. So, watch out with those white strips. A woman misses a flight due to $10,000 cash. Let me tell you more about it. A woman missed her flight at Logan International Airport, thanks to a very interesting slow cooker recipe, roughly $10,000 in cash. Quote, passengers are allowed to bring cash to the checkpoint,
Starting point is 01:00:36 but at any detection of bulk currency, they have to let the law enforcement know. Well, she had a slow cooker. She was inside of it with lots of cash. Which just feels shady. Yeah. You can probably take $10,000 through the airport without it being a scene.
Starting point is 01:00:53 But if it's hidden inside of something that could also be hot, It just feels shady. Like anything in a slow cooker feels shady because they've taken those slow cookers, not that they're related, but also made them into bombs. Yeah, I wouldn't think she's allowed to bring... Could you even bring a slow cooker?
Starting point is 01:01:10 I mean, I guess you can. Yeah, why not? Why not? I'm taking that through. I mean, it does have, like, it's a bowl. It can carry many has a lid. I could see how maybe it is an easy way to carry something in case you need to bring the slow cooker anyway.
Starting point is 01:01:21 They detect bulk currency all the time. And Adam's like towels, shoes, briefcases. But they'd never seen it inside of a slow cook. her and it was in her carry-on. It doesn't really say anything bad was happening. They cleared her. But I also would be like, why is there money? Why don't I just put it in your purse and say you're going to Vegas?
Starting point is 01:01:41 Wow, with 10 grand. And you got a good job. I don't know. Yeah, I seem a little fishy, so she got stopped. Speaking of money, thieves, still $200,000 worth of antique props from the Crown, which is a Netflix show. over $200,000 worth of props that are missing from the set of the crown
Starting point is 01:01:59 they stole over 350 items props to me feels fake they were real just used on the show yeah a long time ago I remember a report that something like that was one of the most expensive shows in production because of the quote unquote props like all the diamonds and jewels and crowns
Starting point is 01:02:17 and what they the money invested in that side of it yeah we hear the word prop it feels plastic and fake but a rindstones prop can just be anything that's being used and even if they may bring in expensive, expensive replicas or real things, and that's what happened. I don't have somebody watching that? Just leave it for the night. All right, Clark, turn the lights off. That's from Variety.com.
Starting point is 01:02:36 That's your big news. Thank you. Those were Bobby's Big. Stories. Okay, I told you guys, the doctor said to pull something from inside this guy's nose. Because it goes in and he's like, I think I have allergies. He's like, oh, let me check it out. It looks in, and it's not allergies.
Starting point is 01:02:54 Your guess is... Mustachios. Why did that nut specifically? Okay, any nut. Okay, any nut. Lunchbox. A marble. Okay, Eddie?
Starting point is 01:03:02 I said an insect. Doctors at a New York hospital said a man who came in complaining of difficulty breathing was found to have a tooth growing in his nasal cavity. Whoa. I think about... And I thought the same thing. I was like, look how close that is, though, to the nose, actually. Because when I read the headline, I'm like,
Starting point is 01:03:21 is the craziest thing I ever heard. and then it's still nuts because it doesn't happen to us but your teeth are literally inches from your nose. Yeah, like the root of your tooth probably goes way up there. But the 38-year-old man said, hey, been struggling for several years. They discovered he had a deviated septum and they went and put a camera up there and there was a tooth growing on the floor of the right nostril.
Starting point is 01:03:48 The surgeons said they removed the tooth without complications and the tooth fairy gave him five bucks. Oh, yes. There was no tooth fairy. That's from UPI. Just a wild story. The human body is a crazy thing. Never let it be lost.
Starting point is 01:04:03 And just because it happens all the time, let's not forget to respect the fact that basically our bodies regenerate themselves. If we have a cut, unless you lose a whole finger or leg, our bodies heal themselves. What's the organ? Liver.
Starting point is 01:04:20 How amazing. Amazing. Amazing. If you slice your hand, And it's in two pieces. It grows back together. We take it for granted because it's happened our whole life. But our body takes care of itself.
Starting point is 01:04:34 It regrows. And even then you can take pieces of somebody else's body and put it in your body. It's pretty cool. I was talking to Caroline Bryan yesterday, Luke Bryan's wife. And she works to research and help fund kids that have congenital heart disease. And she was telling me how humans have now developed a fake heart that they can put into a baby as a placeholder for a bit while they put a new heart in or while they're searching for a new heart. Wow. And it doesn't work forever, but it is an absolute fake.
Starting point is 01:05:09 Our body will accept a fake heart. It's amazing. Mine was just blown by that, which by the way, she just does such good work. And, you know, I do a podcast called The Bobbycast. And she was over yesterday talking about it. And I've got to know her a little bit through the show and through Luke. And we talked a lot about her life more than just about her and Luke story. But I did say, what's that?
Starting point is 01:05:33 When did you meet Luke? Because they met back, I know, she was a freshman in college. And so here is Caroline Bryan talking about when she met Luke. I walk into a bar with my friends. I keep seeing across the bar like these white teeth. Like this guy was smiling at me. And I'm like, okay, he was adorable, but I didn't think of thing about it. And then he sent a friend over to come say, hey.
Starting point is 01:05:57 For him? Yes, which is not like Luke, but then eventually he came over. And he said, hey, and we started talking. And then we were friends for two weeks. And then, you know. You started dating. Yes. It's crazy because they split up and got back together.
Starting point is 01:06:12 They split up for a long time. And I hope you listened to this podcast today. Just search for the Bobbycast. and in how roles in marriage change and sometimes back and forth and back and forth, she had to support Luke for a long time because she was doing pharmaceutical sales while he was a new artist.
Starting point is 01:06:30 And so... Like he wasn't making the money he's making now. It's totally different. You know, struggling artists, which all of them are in the beginning. And so, you know, it was just good to show her, the side of her and how strong that she's been for that family since the very beginning
Starting point is 01:06:44 because I think a lot of times she just lumped into, hey, it's Luke Bryan's wife because he's such a big character and massive star. She talked about how Luke Brian proposed to her as well. He proposed. I'd been gone two weeks working in Indiana. I came home, and he came outside the house, and he had shaved, which, you know, Luke shaving doesn't happen much, and I was like, okay, and he had dressed up.
Starting point is 01:07:07 And he had made this CD of, like, our favorite songs in college. And then he told me he was taking me somewhere to eat. And then he put a blindfold on me, which I thought, I knew something was up then. And then he took me and he just walked me up these steps and he took it off and he was on one name. And then finally, I said, hey, you know, you being with Luke from, I mean, he was a senior in college. She was a freshman, except for a little bit of time where they'd split up and she talked about how they got back together. Like, what was the craziest moment where you're like, wow, I can't believe this is happening?
Starting point is 01:07:41 And I thought her answer would be Luke would win CMA entertainer the year. Luke has his 10th number one, selling out Madison's... That's what I thought her answer would be something like that. But it wasn't. This is her answer when I asked her that question. It took years, but I think my first big freak out was when he told me at the beach once. He goes, hey, I'm having dinner. I think I'm going to be a judge on American Idol.
Starting point is 01:08:05 And I remember, I went for a jog, and I was gone for an hour and a half. So that really shook you a little bit, huh? It did, because I was scared. I didn't know how to handle it. I was like, how are we going to handle your touring in L.A. and all this. And so that was my first big, just not a meltdown, but I was just scared. It's a really good podcast. She's great.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Check it out. It goes up after the show today on the Bobbycast. So Caroline Bryant. Bobby Bone Show. Boney up the day. This story comes to us from New Orleans, Louisiana. Two men walked into a subway, ordered footlong sandwiches, sat down and ate, then decided let's rob the place. Pull it out a gun.
Starting point is 01:08:45 Rob the cashier. Only problem is they had paid with a credit card. No. Which means they actually did decide to do it while sitting there. Yeah. Like they didn't go in and go, okay, we're going to eat and then we're going to rob once we're full. Once we can make better decisions about robbing, because you don't want to rob on an empty stomach. But they went in
Starting point is 01:09:01 and we're eating and we're like, you know what? This looks like a pretty prime place to rob. One of them probably said, dude, I got a good idea. Yeah, there's no one in here. We can get away with this. Charlie, listen to this. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story. the day. You know, people get these random life-threatening illnesses.
Starting point is 01:09:18 The guy that ate the bad noodles, and they were bad. And I read some more about it, I believe, because of the bad noodles, and he hadn't, like had a meningitis vaccine or something, that's what happened. Oh, so he had to have his legs amputated? And so they amputated his legs because of the bad noodles that had some sort of mold or fungus in it. Weird. This other guy, wrecked his body. bicycle and he scraped his elbow. It wasn't even
Starting point is 01:09:45 such a bad wreck that he broke his legs or hit his head. But he scraped it and in that scrape he got for some reason the germs, the fungus, whatever went into his elbow and it created a fungus in his brain. He had black mold in his brain.
Starting point is 01:10:01 His face was paralyzed. What? The whole... So now, anytime I eat noodles and I don't feel 100% perfect afterward, even if it's not the noodle's fault, I'm going to feel like I'm probably going to lose my legs. And what about when you scrape yourself? Got brain mold.
Starting point is 01:10:16 I feel like already have that sometimes. Who knows what scrape caused this brain mold up here? I mean, that's just a good reminder to always clean your scrapes. Maybe he did, but maybe he didn't. But I mean, I just say anytime my son gets like, he gets mad at me because I always put hydrogen peroxide all over him if he has a scratch or a scrape or anything. But this has got to be so rare. I mean, this has to be, I cannot believe it.
Starting point is 01:10:39 One, that it exists on the surface erect on. two, that it got into his body, and three, that it got to his brain. I mean, the odds of this happening. That being said, I think I have it still. I bumped the bathroom, like, wall this morning. Now I feel like, I might have something now. All right, thank you guys. Have a great weekend.
