Starting point is 00:03:05 A little later on, we will review Harry Potter. All the guys on the show were supposed to be. to watch Harry Potter. We have never seen Harry Potter. And so we'll answer trivia questions. Then we'll review it. Everybody good? Love it. The movie was very long. Yes. Very. But we are here to talk about it today. Yesterday's show, we were talking about this documentary about Lula Rowe,
Starting point is 00:03:27 which they sold tights. Yeah, maxi skirts and then leggings and then it evolved to other clothing items. And then we get on Facebook and be like, we've got our box here. Let's open it up. People will just buy it. They'd be like, here's a shirt. Facebook Live. And then Linda, watching Facebook Live, like, I want that shirt, and they'd be like, Linda, it's your sold. Crazy how it turned from what they called a multi-level marketing to a pyramid scheme and how they were getting bonus just by signing people up more than what they were selling.
Starting point is 00:03:52 You got to watch this documentary. But on the phone now is Angela in Virginia. So, Angela, you worked for Lula Rowe for a few years? I did for about three and a half years. Good morning, show. Good morning. Did you make a bunch of money at first? I did, actually.
Starting point is 00:04:07 I started when they first opened up, and it was, it was. a lot of money involved, and we did put a lot of money in, but we definitely got a lot of money back. Did you do where you'd go live on Facebook and sell clothes or have the parties where people would come over? I sure did. I did everything. I had an entire store in my basement, and I did live shows, and I also hosted parties at people's home. In this documentary, the problem is, once they have all this inventory and the inventory is not very good, they can't sell it back to the company. Were you stuck with a bunch of stuff at the end? I was a lot. Actually, that was one of the biggest things. that we fought for because they actually told us
Starting point is 00:04:42 that we could send it back if it didn't sell. And about how much did you just sit on at the end? It was almost $12,000. Wow. And so what happened with that inventory, period? And we ended up actually getting our money back, but it took us almost a year for us to fight to get the money back because we actually tried to close our shop
Starting point is 00:05:05 and they wanted us to sell everything off. But we had such a big shop at that time that we had so much clothes. And we asked them to take it back and they wouldn't. But there was a lot of boxes that we didn't get right away. It took a couple months because stuff was back ordered because they couldn't keep up with the inventory. And we started getting holes in our leggings and stuff. And so we would tell them, hey, these boxes have holes or they're getting holes and they're not supposed to.
Starting point is 00:05:28 And so they would not send us our boxes. And then towards the end, I ended up getting shipments of stuff that I had already canceled. And so we had over almost 12 grand worth of stuff that we were sitting on for a very long time. Did you ever go to any of these really cool parties where Katie Perry or Kelly Clarkson sang? No, I didn't, unfortunately. Dang. Were you making big money, like with these bonus checks when you would sign people up? So we, I was actually saying.
Starting point is 00:05:53 We would sign at the beginning. We would sign people up, and we didn't get a lot. They would end up sending them to the people that they hired as their friends and family. And they would say, well, since you haven't really been so long to this, we're going to hand them over to them because they can get them started and get them off. So you can and you did, but towards the end I did get a few, and I had about 12 people under me, and yes, you did get paid, but that was one of the biggest things. They would pass them on to the people who were big in the company,
Starting point is 00:06:20 and that's how those people got really large. Did you watch the documentary? I'm actually working on it. We were watching some of it last night. Oh, trigger warning. Just be ready. With what you went through, you're going to see this and go, oh, my goodness, I was to do you feel like at first it was a scam or it turned into it later,
Starting point is 00:06:37 because it got so big? I think at first we were all excited about it because it was fun, but it definitely turned ugly probably within the first year. I stuck it out for a while, but you didn't notice that first. So I started when they first opened as well. Wow. That's crazy that you would recruit somebody
Starting point is 00:06:56 and then they're like, we're going to go and hand this to cousin Jimmy because he's been with the company longer. They did definitely take care of family first. Yep, they did. They sure did. Well, thank you for your call. Really hate to hear that you had to go through that, but in the end, you did get your money back. I assume everything's okay now and you're not wearing the Lula Rose pants, the tights or anything?
Starting point is 00:07:15 Absolutely not. Well, thank you for listening. Thank you for calling and good luck with that documentary. I do have a feeling that it's going to bring back a lot of negative feelings. Thank you, guys. I love you. Thank you. Bye, Angela.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Yeah, we talked about that yesterday, but there's a documentary where it's called Lula Rich. I'm going to have to watch it. Now that Harry Potter's over, you should watch it. Yes, now that I have time. And it's only four episodes, and it's very intriguing. People bought these clothes. It sounds good. You had to spend like $5,000 to get the shipment to sell.
Starting point is 00:07:48 To buy. To sell. To buy in. Yeah, to get the shipment to sell. Right. But they were like, take out extra credit cards to buy it. Sell your breast milk. Barrow from family members.
Starting point is 00:08:02 It is crazy. And then they wanted to get their husbands involved. They're like, have your husband quit his job and work for you. And then, oh, there was one point, too, they're like, hire a nanny, get someone to cook. Like, have other people do that so that you can work 100% on this job. And they were like, anytime you post anything on Instagram or Facebook where you're showing how luxurias your life is, Lula Rich or Lula famous or whatever. Everything was tagged Lula. They wanted them to like buy Louis Vuitton so they looked fancier so they looked more desirable.
Starting point is 00:08:32 They wanted them to go to Tijuana to get like a stomach reduction things to lose weight. It's wild, man. Yes, because there was a look. And if you look more desirable, more people want to buy your stuff. Or they want to work for Lula and then you get bigger bonus checks. Which that was actually the way to make money. At the end, they weren't even really selling leggings. They were just buying people.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Yeah. But you're not supposed to do. No. It's illegal. It's time to open up the mailbag. email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailback. Yeah. Dear Bobby, I have an eight-year-old son who is currently involved in his first season of football. He's never played the sport before, but when I signed him up, he and I agreed that if he didn't like
Starting point is 00:09:19 it, he at least had to play the season and wouldn't be allowed to quit. My son's dad and I are separated, and he recently called me and said that our son told him he does not want to play anymore. But my belief is that my son is greatly benefiting from being on this team in many ways, physically, socially, et cetera. And I'm teaching him a valuable life lesson to always finish what you start. No quitting allowed. I believe that if I allow my son to quit, I'll be doing him an injustice. His dad believes that he should be allowed to quit and I shouldn't force him to continue playing. I listen to your show every morning on my way to work. I love trust and most always agree with the advice that you share and I would love to hear your opinion on whether or not I should.
Starting point is 00:09:58 should allow my son to quit his team. Always thankful, a conflicted football mama. I think that the old school thing of never letting your kid quit is just that. If the kid doesn't like to play. We quit stuff all the time as adults. Let's not act like if there's something instilled in us where we're like, oh, you know what, I can't, I can't quit. If you don't like something and it doesn't make you feel good and actually if it makes
Starting point is 00:10:23 you feel bad, maybe he doesn't like to get hit. I hate it getting hit. Maybe he just doesn't like the game. I have no problem with him quitting. As long as quitting isn't something that he's doing all the time with everything, I think it's okay if you quit something occasionally. We still quit stuff all the time. I think this is like finishing all the food on your plate.
Starting point is 00:10:39 You know what? You shouldn't have to do that all the time. Right. It's a bad precedent that's set as a kid. I think just because something happens when we were kids, we think we have to stick with it because if he wants to quit, as long as he doesn't want to get back in and then quit again, if he says next year, I want to play again.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Okay, but I'm not spending the money if you're going to quit again. So you make sure. But I think everybody deserves the chance to try something out and then be like, you know what, I don't like it. It doesn't make me feel good. Like maybe the kids are mean. Maybe it hurts. Both those happen to me. That's why I keep bringing that up.
Starting point is 00:11:09 I generally don't stick by the rule of, oh, you can't let him be a quitter. Because sometimes it's okay to stop doing something if it's not beneficial to your life. That is what I say there. Amy? Well, I mean, I think there's an opportunity for her son to feel like he's being heard. and she can open up a conversation with him and they can actually have a bonding moment here. So I think it's important that she listens to what he wants to do.
Starting point is 00:11:36 Where it gets tough is if you spend a bunch of money on football equipment. Oh, I agree. It's not an easy decision. But mostly when you play football, at least for us, we didn't have to pay for the equipment. The school or the group had them, especially at eight years old. But I think just because the mentality has always been, don't be a quitter, it's okay sometimes to allow people to stop.
Starting point is 00:11:56 if it's not bringing them some sort of benefit in their life. Eddie? I'm so with her on this. I mean, I went through this a few years ago with my son. So bad that I had to write a contract for him to sign before the season. Remember I talked about this? Because he had a history of quitting. He would start seasons and three games in, I want to quit.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Well, that's different. A history of quitting is different than, hey, they want to quit just one thing. Yeah. I just feel like I really like the idea of her making him go through. the season. It's not forever and ever. It's a decision that he made to do the season. Finish out the season. Next year, we'll revisit it. He's eight. I know. I know. Startum young, bones. That's where I get. Yeah, he's eight. That's such a good reminder. He's eight. He's so little. What do you do? I mean, and I think, too, she may want to step back because co-parenting
Starting point is 00:12:46 is hard. I know she's not with the husband, but sometimes are you kind of stuck on something or standing up for that because it's the opposite of what your ex-husband wants. I know it's deep, but you may want to take a look at it that you don't want to be, you don't want that person to be right. There's also a difference in stopping something that doesn't make you feel good and being a quitter. Yeah. There's a big difference in that. Eddie talks about his kid. He quit everything all the time.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Yeah. That was a high. He was habitually quitting things. That was like his third season to quit. I was like contract time. Right. After the first season, did you let him quit? Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Okay. And that was a big mistake. She said a big mistake. Hypocrite. And after the second season, you let it quit again? Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Big mistake. Let your kid be heard. Talk to them though about you can't get in things and quit things. But there are still things I get into sometimes. And I'm like, you know what? This is not for me. I'm going to go ahead and stop this. So, okay, thank you for that email.
Starting point is 00:13:41 We appreciate it. You can email us anytime, but let's close up the mailbag. We've got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mail bag. And I know I'm going to get a lot of people going, hey, we don't let our kids quit anything. Yeah, how are you doing over there, adult? Are you quitting stuff too? Yeah, probably. Probably are. We all are. Let's not be hypocrites here. Morgan, if they want to email us, what do they do?
Starting point is 00:14:04 Mailbag at bobbybones.com. There you go. All right, you're all going to be the judge because Eddie has brought a scenario to me, and I said, let's put this on the air. Because I think our listeners and I think the people in this room would be good to judging this. So Eddie, at church, your pastor gave you some kind of journal. Yeah, he gave everyone. During the sermon, he's like, when you leave, we're giving you a journal. And this is just to help you study your Bible.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Like, read your Bible. There's some verses there. And then you can jot down notes in your journal. So I took one home. In theory, to do what? Study the Bible, right? Journal a little bit about my life and how I can incorporate the word into my life. Now, isn't that great?
Starting point is 00:14:46 Come on, look at this. Eddie. Thank you. Thank you guys. I'm impressed. Now, what was in the journal? Okay, so last Sunday, I mean, there's football going on, right? And I had the journal out because I've gotten home from church and I'm watching football and everything.
Starting point is 00:14:59 And I'm really into fantasy football right now. So part of fantasy is watching games and keeping notes on what players are good that are still able to be drafted, right? So I just look for a quick piece of paper. You know, nothing big. And I started writing, oh, here you go, here's a pen right there. And in the journal, I started writing down. football players of who I can draft maybe next week. Or like waiver wire picks.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Waiver wire picks. Well, I brought home the journal that my whole family, I guess, is going to use. So my wife was like, oh, let me look at the journal and look at it. And she looks in there and sees my list of football players. So his question was, this is what he said, hey, man, is this sacrilegious to write down fantasy football players in his journal. Oh, okay. Go ahead, Amy.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Well, I too have the same journal. Nice. And. Do you ever write, you know, recipes or anything? grocery list? I haven't yet, but I could see where if it was the handy thing near, I may grab it to write something down. But if I was sharing the journal, Eddie needs to go back and get his wife. I heard you take one for the whole family, so I brought home like four. But, you, yeah, Eddie, if your wife is going to use it and she opens it up and it's all these stats, that's annoying. Go get another piece of paper. I do not think it's sacrilegious, but you need to not continue this behavior. Okay. Lunchbox? Look, the guy said Write about your life, right? He said...
Starting point is 00:16:20 No, he didn't say right about your life. It's not a life journal. That's what the journal is about. However you interpret it, like, oh, you know, you're writing about the fantasy football may be important to you and part of your reason for being and believing and getting up in the morning. I got no problem with you writing fantasy football players down in a religious journal. I don't have any problem with it either.
Starting point is 00:16:43 I really don't. I really don't. I mean, it's open for the family. They're going to show up church next Sunday and they're going to be like, well, the disciple... Odell Beckham Jr. missed another game. They're going to think these are like biblical people. They're going to grab journals randomly.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Let me read what Eddie wrote in his journal. Oh, that would be funny if he pulled it up to the front. That is funny. I think you're okay. I just wouldn't do it anymore. Yeah, I'm going to stop doing that. I mean, like I said, it was just a quick piece of paper that I saw there. Did your wife get annoyed?
Starting point is 00:17:09 Yeah, she was like, what are you doing? This is not what the journal is for. Like, the journal is for it. This is a serious stuff. I mean, yeah, the church they spent, I feel like that's a nice. gift for the whole congregation. We all got journals. That's a big investment and now you're just scribbling in it. Were the notes any good? I mean, share. Hey, I ended up drafting a couple of those players. Hey, the good word is share. Let us know the notes you took. Yeah, don't just bring this
Starting point is 00:17:30 up here. Bring this up at church. Sorry, guys. Oh, yeah, ask your pastor. Yes. I would like to share you those notes, but that's between me and God. Oh, that's true. That's a good point. That's true. That's true. And we'll leave it there. Eddie, you're fine. Just I'll do it anymore. All right. 30 Second Skinny. The chicks are releasing their greatest hits album on vinyl on November 12th. The two record collection features 30 songs from their fourth album through their seventh album. Tim McGrath says remembering the lyrics to his songs is sometimes a challenge.
Starting point is 00:18:03 I've been in the studio learning new songs and learning all the new lyrics. In fact, the other day I was on the treadmill and I was thinking, well, I got a show coming up. Let me see what I can think of. And I was trying to sing Live Like You Were Down. I'm like, oh my God, I can't remember the lyrics to live like You Are Dine. So I'm hoping that I've done this long enough. 30 years now that maybe muscle memory will kick in and I'll remember all the lyrics when I get on stage.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Carrie Underwood talks about always singing. I sing everywhere I go. Everything I'm doing, I'm cooking dinner. You know, I'm humming or singing to myself. I'm, you know, giving them a bath or putting clothes on or whatever. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:18:39 With Bobby. Tell me something good. Wisconsin police officer is being praised for jumping into action to save the life. of an old man. Officer Tony Becker was on patrol doing his job and he heard some popping and crackling noises and discovered as he got closer to it was because a house was fully engulfed in flames. So he went up to the house like a cop does and a 74 year old woman escaped through the garage door came running out and said hey my husband 79 still trapped inside this place. So the officer obviously just ran right into the house. His body camera footage shows the house was full of black smoke.
Starting point is 00:19:17 it was so full of smoke that the cop couldn't see the door so Becker said, hey, get low to the old man. Dum, dum, dumb, da da da da da da daum. And so he said, hey, come to my voice. Get low and come to my voice.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Eventually he got to the officer and he was able to grab the guy kind of wrap up with his arms and pull him outside the house. He was treated for smoke inhalation, the cop that is, went back to work, finished his shift, and the elderly couple is doing okay.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Okay. And you know what they said after it was over? To the window! To the wall! I don't say the next part. No. All right, there you go. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Could you catch a live baby being dropped off a building?
Starting point is 00:20:03 I think so. How far? Two stories. Yeah. I mean, I played softball. I have good hand-dio coordination. Is it a real baby, though? I know. I feel like I could. It would be difficult. to make sure you're standing in the right spot and it's probably going to hurt a little bit, but I got it.
Starting point is 00:20:21 As a man dangled a baby from a second floor balcony in New Jersey, officer set up a perimeter and attempted to negotiate with him, but he followed through on his threat and he dropped the baby. Fortunately, his officer, Eduardo Matute was there. He caught the one month old, the infant was not harmed. You talk about pressure? That is such pressure. That's prime time under the lights pressure.
Starting point is 00:20:44 That's 8 o'clock ESPN game. Oh, but he caught him. It's wild. The man was arrested in charge with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, and the officers involved were praised on social media. I'm surprised that he tried to catch it by himself.
Starting point is 00:21:01 I think I always try to body catch it. Not just hand catch it. I was a wide receiver in high school. Yes. And you're supposed to catch with your hands. But with the body, I feel like worst case, it hits me on the body, and then it's not going to drop my phone.
Starting point is 00:21:12 I should kick it real quick. Yeah, so that it's a less of a... Yes. So it doesn't completely shut. chatter. Some of them might break, but at least I know then the phone's not going to die. So you mean catch the baby like a kickoff, almost like a punt return? Like a, I would say like, yes. You would have to catch it with your body. Even then I'm looking for like a towel or something. Or more, you know, then you try to catch it in the towel.
Starting point is 00:21:38 But I don't know, that's tough too. Like the people at the game that caught the cat with the American flag. Yeah, much smaller, lighter thing and much wider base. Okay. Yeah, true. And more people, because you had multiple people holding that flag out. But that was awesome, too, when they caught that cat. I know.
Starting point is 00:21:54 One of the highlights. This cop, man, caught a baby. Amazing. From 20 feet up. We tried the bit once. Lunchbox tried to catch a baby doll from a few stories out, but he couldn't do it. Yeah. The hand hit me in the eye and blinded me.
Starting point is 00:22:09 And that was a doll. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. A real baby probably flails a little bit. Oh, my gosh. And that poor baby. I know.
Starting point is 00:22:15 It's so traumatic. Well, he's okay. That baby won't remember it. His body keeps the score. Excuse me? That was traumatic for that baby. Body keeps score must be something you've read or heard in a podcast. It's a book.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Okay, okay. I figured. You didn't think she made that up. I didn't think she made that up, but it's good. The body keeps score. What's that mean? Oh, it's amazing. Like, it's a fascinating book, very scientific, so you have to be patient with it.
Starting point is 00:22:37 But it just basically explains a lot on how our body holds on to trauma and certain things that will happen to us if you don't deal with it either through talk therapy, neurofeedback. I mean, there's different forms of therapy, but how different ailments will show up. But if you are able to get through it, maybe some of them will disappear. Well, funny, you bring that up. I was also reading a book about the different parts of the brain. And, you know, I'll just say that the very first part of the brain, the lowest part of the brain, the one that remembers childhood traumas that we don't really remember up in our upper brain, knows all the stuff. If you were nurtured as a baby and still holds that. And we don't realize
Starting point is 00:23:15 it's affecting us still today, but that part of the brain is still affecting us every single day. No, if you grew up not feeling safe and secure, like, yes, there are parts of your brain that will go in to protect you and you will live in a fight or flight situation. Or freeze. That's the other one too. Fight flight or freeze, yes, sorry. I do that a lot. Oh, God. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:35 So those are the three things. And it can be because literally, and you have no idea why you're reacting that way. In my history of life where I've had situations that have been fight. flight or freeze. I've only ever flighted or froze. You never fought? And I can think of two where I almost died. And that's, I mean, like serious situations. froze when I had a gun to my head in my car. And they were, he's like, give me your, and I could have tried to drive off. I could have tried to grab the gun. I could have froze. Just like, uh-oh. Remember it as plain as day, vividly as can be. Remember I'm pistol whipping me and me not feeling it. That's how crazy too that the brain and the body separates. He went, whack! And I went, I probably should have felt that
Starting point is 00:24:18 and didn't and gave them the stuff and they ran off but the time I got jumped outside of work I could have fought him I mean I would have lost but I could have but I didn't I ran I was like I am out I kicked off my flip flops and I hauled butt

Starting point is 00:32:17 would you know it air a hole oh okay Eddie. Come on. If you threw a yellow stone into a blue sea, what would it become?

I mean, you would think it would be like a green stone. If you threw a yellow stone into a blue sea, what would it become? Need an answer. All right. A sunken rock.
Starting point is 00:32:58 The answer's wet. Oh my gosh. That was tough one too. That was tough. That was tough. Okay, we're not a sudden death. All right. Buzz in with your name.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Oh, Buzz name? Yeah, I just you two. Here we go. What kind of ship has two mates, but no captain? What kind of ship has two mates but no captain? What kind of ship? There's two mates, but no captain. Lunchbox.

Starting point is 00:33:40 The answer is relationship. Yeah. Wow. Nice day. Nice job. Did you have the same answer? It came to my mind. Lunchbox, congratulations.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Are you ready for it? Are you ready for it? Let's go. Riddle me this There he is Lunch fox with a big victory Nice shot buddy How comfortable are you
Starting point is 00:34:23 With walking around your house naked Comfortable If nobody's around I mean I have kids So nobody has to be home So your rule is if nobody's home You don't worry about a neighbor seeing in the window or anything I don't know
Starting point is 00:34:36 No, not at all Well the way my house is set up No I'm good to go Why about you? All time Yeah What? I get home
Starting point is 00:34:42 And I take off everything except underwear almost immediately. Oh, that's not naked. No, but then once I take a shower and I dry off, I may not but close on for half an hour. Wow. So, I'm okay with that. Yeah, most guys do it once a week.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Women only a couple times a year. Oh, if I have to go for my room to the laundry, I mean, it happens. But I mean, like, chilling. Oh, I don't chill that way. Sometimes I'll chill. Sometimes I'll chill. Here's Amy's pile of stories. A new set of came out about something we need to be cleaning in our bathroom that I'm like, wait a second,
Starting point is 00:35:17 do I ever clean this? And it's the towel rack. Never in my life if I clean the towel right, because I expect a towel to clean the towel rack when I hang it up there. Oh, no. Mm-mm. Nope. Scientists say we should be cleaning our towel racks three times a month because when the towel gets hanged up on the rack damp, then it's a breeding ground for bacteria. I don't hang the towel damp. Oh, you don't? What do you do with your towel after you get out of the shower? Side of the bathtub. Oh, well, then... Once it's a damp one and not a fully clean one, it then gets folded double time and laid on the side of the bathtub. You're so weird.
Starting point is 00:35:49 Why? Because you're probably the only person that does that. Well, I need that towel to clean my feet because I can't get in bed with dirty feet. So it gets used for a second or third time for feet cleaning. Because I walk barefoot everywhere, and I'm not allowed to get in the bed if I've been walking barefoot out in the yard or on the driveway and I try to get back in bed. But I would hang it back on the towel rack anyway. Clean towels only. Okay, well, I have a little hook by my shower and I don't think I've ever cleaned it.
Starting point is 00:36:12 so now I'm going to because damp towels are on there all the time. Black wedding dresses is a trend that's been growing during coronavirus. So if that's something that you're into, Vera Wang says it's a-okay. If somebody came down in a black wedding dress? Wait, so what if Caitlin really wanted a black wedding dress? I would think it was, she's walking to her funeral. Oh.
Starting point is 00:36:33 I think black, I think that's death or the opposite of white is white's virgin. I'd be like, dang, she must have been with a bunch of dudes. I think one of those two things Stop. Well, I'm here... She went so many dudes She thought I can't honestly have this dress. And the darker it gets, the more dudes, you know?
Starting point is 00:36:51 Yeah, I mean, a lot of people when they were reacting to Vera Wang saying this said that it's depressing to have brides in black. It looks like a funeral. I'm looking at them now. No chance. No chance. It says, not at all. It's sexy. Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:37:01 Wear that to, you know, some sort of formal event. Not at the wedding. Okay. Well, Russell Dickerson has a secret weapon to quiet down his one-year-old son, Remington and it's to play his own songs because Remington is very familiar with Russell's voice. Specifically, he plays Southern Symphony, but really anything will do. But it might be something if you're a parent, maybe record yourself singing something soothing and you can just play it for your kids. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:37:29 I mean, my youngest is a little over two and I just told him to sh and he does it. It's pretty amazing. Or you can do that. Wow, but you can sing Eddie. Do you ever sing your kids? Nah, never. Uh-uh. The sh is way quicker and it works. Are we sure Russell's not just saying that to plug a song?
Starting point is 00:37:45 I mean, I know Russell well, that's a smart thing. Like, how do you get your kids to be quiet? Well, actually, I'm a new single Home Suite. I play it all the time. Okay. Oh, yeah, good point. I'm Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:37:57 It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Okay, so picture it. Liz is getting into an Uber to go to the first Raiders pre-season. in game. But Liz is also a medical student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. So she's on her way. She witnesses a hit and run accident. Someone needs her attention. So since she's also EMT certified, she hops out of her Uber and springs into action and literally does her best to stop the bleeding,
Starting point is 00:38:30 making sure he can breathe until an ambulance arrives. So she is definitely a hero. And I got a clip of Liz talking about it. Everything happened to end up just right so that this incredibly unlucky situation could be as lucky as possible. That's crazy that you're lucky enough to have somebody near you that can do that. I did see a video the other day of someone who was in an Uber and his Uber got pulled over for a DUI and they were kind of in a weird spot and he couldn't go anywhere else. So he just stood there as his Uber got arrested.
Starting point is 00:39:00 No way. And he was shooting a TikTok himself going, I was just getting a ride to my friend's house. and now I'm on the side of the road as my Uber driver's getting the DUI. Oh, man, that's crazy. But my story also makes me think of the time one of our listeners called in, who was in a motorcycle accident, and then some other woman was in an Uber and got out and helped him and did this exact same thing.
Starting point is 00:39:20 And now I can't remember their names, but they called in, and we sent him pimping joy. And he was like, she's my real life angel on earth. And that, so we had that. Do you guys remember that? Yeah. I don't know that. Oh, maybe I do because we sent him to stuff.
Starting point is 00:39:31 You're like, Amy, mail on some pimping joy. Hey, good story. good for her. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Here are your top three songs in country music this week. At number three, let's see if Amy can sing it. James and Rogers, cold beer calling my name. There's a cold beer calling my name.
Starting point is 00:39:56 There's a cold beer calling my name. Well, give that one to her. It's pretty good. Thank you. Except for the bo-a-doo-doo-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d. But you got it. You knew it. Okay. Scotty McCurry, U-time, is it number two?
Starting point is 00:40:08 Oh, you're in a truck. You're in a truck, and you need a little, you drive for a little U-time. Kind of? Give me some more. I'm in a truck. I just know that you're free out in the country and your truck getting some U-time. It goes, U-time, U-time, U-time. There you go. And I need a little U-time, U-time.
Starting point is 00:40:31 That's it, that's it. I can't give you that one. Okay, well, hey, I had the vibe in it. everything. Did you? Yeah. And number one, Lainey Wilson Things a Man O'd a Know. Oh, because I know a few things a man ought to know. Good. I know a few things a man ought to know. Those are your top songs right now in country music. The number one hip-hop song is Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow. It's called Industry Baby. I was watching a TikTok of Lil Nas X from two years ago.
Starting point is 00:41:10 And he put it out again. He was eating pizza and he's like, I just put out this song called Old Town Road. I got 2,000 followers on Instagram. This is a crazy. He goes, we'll see what happens. And he's eating pizza and he's broke and he's just young. He has no idea.
Starting point is 00:41:22 He has no idea. Huh. Yeah. Cool. He goes, I got 900 followers on Spotify now. I got, and you look at him and it's like, you have no idea the train that's about to pick you up and take you for a ride. So that thought that was pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:41:36 Over to Amy now with the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny. What do you call a flock of sheep tumbling down a hill? What do you call a flock of sheep tumbling down a hill? A lamb slide. A lamb slide. That was the morning corny. The five fastest fast food franchises when you get food.
Starting point is 00:42:02 I know it for sure. What? Number one, Wendy's. Didn't make the list. What? Not for fast. When I worked in the news, I remember ordering, And by the time I got to the window, the person would hang in the bag right outside,
Starting point is 00:42:13 I'd be like, well, cool, thank you. It's ready. Every single time. His personal experience in Wendy. Chick-fil-A. Yeah. Chick-fil-A did not make it either. What?
Starting point is 00:42:21 The thing about Chick-fil-A for me that's tough is sometimes I don't know what I want, and they stand before the menu going, hey, what would you like to order? And I'm like, I don't know. I'm just looking at you. Like, can you put the menu on your chest? Like, can you wear a sandwich board or something? And you want to be like, I need to go look at the menu. And then you just go, I'll just take some nuggets.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Because you don't want to disappoint them. No. Okay, Taco Bell. Number one. Taco Bell's at one. KFC is at two. McDonald's? Carls, Jr. and Hardys is at three. Duncan's at four. McDonald's is at five. Duncan's at fast. I mean, Duncan, they just got to grab a donut.
Starting point is 00:42:52 Right, that's what I was thinking too. Well, they have sandwiches, I think. But most people, I think we get coffee or donuts and only. Didn't you work at Duncan? I did work at Duncan. We had coffee donuts, but, I mean, they've changed their menu. They have a little bit of donuts now, sandwiches, muffins, bagels. So it's getting a little harder to be fast there. Are you guys, though, not annoyed by Chick-fil-A a little bit with the people that stand out there?
Starting point is 00:43:10 Yes. Okay, I'm so I'm not the only one. I love Chick-fil-A. I just don't know who doesn't... Like, I'm struggling with it. You don't know what you want. Yeah, don't you just keep the same order every time? Like, how many things could you possibly get?
Starting point is 00:43:21 I like to take a look. Maybe I want to change my mind a little bit. Like, but what do you switch up? Sometimes I like the spicy sandwich, and then I want to say the number of the meal. Oh, okay. And sometimes I don't want the spicy sandwich. Sometimes I want to get a wrap. Oh.
Starting point is 00:43:33 Oh, I never have wraps up. Yeah, because sometimes Kately gets the rap and I'll get the wrap, and I'll get the wrap too. Wow. Yeah. Sometimes I'll have the size. I want the fruit cup and I want the fries. Sometimes I just need to look at it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:42 There's too many things. You're asking me and there's no menu. Oh, wow. I don't know. I just thought everyone had their go-to at Chick-fil-A, but look at you. I don't have a go-to chick-fil-A. I don't have a go-to-chik filet. Big difference.
Starting point is 00:43:54 Yes. Thank you. So Lunchbox told Kaelin, he goes in to get a massage and he gets all the way naked immediately. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And she was like, you. do? And he was like, yeah, because one time they asked you to do that. Yeah, they said that
Starting point is 00:44:09 you don't want the underwear to interfere that it feels better if you don't have underwear on. So I was like, okay. So I haven't got a lot of massages in my life. So I got another one. I was like, well, I guess I'm supposed to get naked. And I was just talking to Caitlin about it. And she was like, you did what? That is so
Starting point is 00:44:25 disgusting. Then she pulls Bobby over and Bobby's like, you did what? That's disgusting. I can't remember if we talked about that on the air or not. No, we didn't. No. But now I remember us talking about it and me definitely thinking it was weird. Well, it's just because you go right in and just get butt naked
Starting point is 00:44:41 right away. Yeah, butt naked. And I get under the sheet and they come in and you're naked. Do you have to get on your back ever? Yeah, they roll you over. They say, okay, now if you'll roll over on your back and scoot down out of the face thing, and you do it. We went to Las Vegas for our I heart radio music festival. And did you go
Starting point is 00:44:57 and get a massage? I wouldn't got a massage. He had a spa day. A full body scrub? In a facial. No, no, I got a full body scrub back on my birthday. My wife. Were you naked for that? Absolutely. That's when they told me to be naked.
Starting point is 00:45:10 That's what the first time. That's what I'm saying. They scrubbed your whole body? Scrobs your whole body? Well, because I can see with the scrub, you don't want to. But you could wear like a swimsuit. No, no, no. They told me to be naked.
Starting point is 00:45:20 Did they scrub your butt? Yeah, they did scrub my butt. So someone comes out and scrubs your body? I never had a body scrub. I don't know, man. Let me tell you. It was my wife. I think it was really for my wife,
Starting point is 00:45:31 but it was for my birthday. We did a couple's thing. And they did a whole body scrub. and told me to be naked. So this was the, I got a massage and I was like, oh, well, they told me to be naked last time. I should be naked this time. So when the lady came in, my underwear is hanging on the wall. Why don't you hang your underwear on the wall? Why don't put it in the floor? Well, I hung it up with my robe. It's just she could see. Let her know. They scrubbed the both of them. Yeah, like my wife's on one table and I'm on one table. Yeah. That's how it works. It's not that weird.
Starting point is 00:45:57 I've never done a body scrub. But yes, so yes, the body scrub was awesome. And so I thought I was supposed to be naked. You guys, I'd like it was the most gross thing I've ever done in my life. I'm sure that some people get naked. For me, I would prefer to be in my underwear. Because that part's not really getting rubbed anyway. Yep. There's more to the story. Is there? There's more to this couple's massage thing that he's not
Starting point is 00:46:20 talking about, which I thought was the weirdest thing in the whole wide world, because he told me this the other day. What do you mean? There's like a secret? They gave the after, I don't know if it was after before the body. Wait, should you ask his permission to tell this? Oh, you want to tell you? You want me to tell you? You say it. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:46:35 It's not a big deal. So we did the body scrub. Hey, a big deal. Whatever. Hey, we're married. So we do the body scrub and then they say, oh, we're going to give you an hour in the room alone. No. To do what?
Starting point is 00:46:48 What kind of place was this? They didn't say do what? But what else is there to do? Exactly. And let me tell you. No way. No. No.
Starting point is 00:46:59 So. No. No. So there's a, they, they, they take a shower to get the body. You know they had cameras in that room. No. That you take a shower to get the body scrub off and then they have like a, like a nice jacuzzi with a bottle of champagne sitting there. And.
Starting point is 00:47:14 That's crazy. That's weird. Write down where you were. We don't need to name them. Yeah, we do. I want to know. I was legit. I'm not saying it wasn't legit.
Starting point is 00:47:24 And then they say, they say, well, not before we come back in. And so they say, are you guys ready? They knock. 45 minutes later or whatever. That's weird. Yeah. That makes me feel like it's a sleazy place. No.
Starting point is 00:47:38 What was sleazy about it? It was a great massage. They allow you, they're like, hey, we encourage you to take this room. No, they didn't encourage. They just said, you know, you're going to have 45 minutes. They put champagne in the room. They do need to rinse off. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:50 45 minutes of long time. Could they get in the hot tub? Yeah. Yep. I'm kind of weirded out, guys. I told you, man. That was more to this story. Starting point is 00:52:04 So I like to drive. I don't like flying places because that's even a lot of work. Me, I get to sit in the driver's seat and like just zone out and be like, I'm driving, can't participate in whatever you guys are doing right now. Thank you. One of five parents, so they get 15 minutes or less a day. One in 10 parents had less than five minutes to rewind. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:52:21 So you have to try to make vacation. With just your wife without the kids? Correct. Is that kind of the plan? Yes, that would be true vacation. If you're driving down the road and you see a car and the car runs, it looks like a fine car and it says free car on the sign. Right beside the car. Free car.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Would you stop and at least look at it? Yes, if I needed a free car. I needed a car and I'm like, wow, it's free? Okay. Even if you don't need it, you take it. But I would wonder, but then what? You sell it? No, you got an nurse your car.
Starting point is 00:52:51 According to a sheriff in Copia County, A body was found inside of a vehicle. The man drove the vehicle from Byram to Copia County but realized there was a body inside the vehicle's truck. So now you're a suspect. Well, two men found the car and on the car was a sign that said free car. And the keys were inside. So they were like, we got this free car. And they drove it.
Starting point is 00:53:14 They got out of town with the body inside of it. Oh, my goodness. They didn't do anything wrong as a free car. That's a pretty funny way to get that body out of town, though. Put a free car sign. It's creative, I guess. Hey, how do we get rid of this man? What a sign that says free on it?
Starting point is 00:53:30 Put a free car. Like they do with couches. And then now you've complicated the case and you have more fingerprints and other people. And then you have to prove that these people, because you know it's going to derail the investigation because now these people are suspects because then you have to convince them.
Starting point is 00:53:45 No, no, no, no. We just saw a free car. And they're like, yeah, right. Yeah, like, who would put a free car sign up? Right. Would you take the car sign up? No, because if I needed it, possibly. But if not, I would save it for somebody that really needed it.
Starting point is 00:53:58 Oh, 100%. Don't care. I'd take it. I don't care if I got three cars in my driveway. I'd take a fourth. Whatever I need. Didn't you just have an incident where you took something from somebody's house? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:06 This lady, I mean, she put a bunch of junk on the curb, and it was like an outdoor couch, you know, like one of those nice ones. And it said, just VINMO me what you think is worth. I'm like, well, it's worth nothing if you're putting it on the curb. So I put it in the back of the SUV. my wife's SUV brought it on home. I didn't, I didn't Venmo. No, here's my thing. If you wanted money for it, set up a garage sale.
Starting point is 00:54:28 Don't just set it on the curb and say, ah, Venmo me what you think it's worth. You didn't take the time to have a garage sale. It wasn't worth anything. Yeah, so the worth was. Nothing. Wait, but she was expecting you to Venmo her? Yeah. She put a sign up said, Venmo me.
Starting point is 00:54:42 You stole it. No, it's on the curb. She wanted something, though. It says give how much. You think it's worth. And you thought it was worth? Nothing. Oh, that is so wrong.
Starting point is 00:54:55 No, man, I mean, the couch, the cushions were dirty. Like, they had paw prints and stuff on it, like, and dog hair. So obviously, she just used it for a dog. And if you were to have that and you were selling it, how much would you value it at? Oh, probably 150. I mean, it's a nice outdoor couch. I don't know if you've ever looked at those things at, like, Home Depot or Walmart. They're pretty expensive.
Starting point is 00:55:14 So you would value it at $150. Yeah. But buying it and taking it, you value it at $0. Interesting. Because... Because... She didn't take the time to actually sell it.
Starting point is 00:55:25 She just set it on the curb. And I mean, there was a bunch of stuff. There was like a bookcase and a desk, but I didn't need any of that. It's a nice outdoor couch. Did she know you took it?
Starting point is 00:55:34 She doesn't know that. I took it. I mean, she wasn't there. It was just like in front of the house and just drove up. I saw it when I was on a dog walk with the dog.
Starting point is 00:55:42 Call my wife said, hey, bring the SUV. You got to put this in the back. She pulled up, threw it in. And what'd your wife think about you've been mowing her nothing.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Oh, she was just like, oh, you're going to Vimor? Yeah, yeah, I'll probably have him over later. So you lied to your wife. No, I just said I probably would. I probably would. But I never played on it. But I never did. I probably would. I just ran out of time.
Starting point is 00:55:59 Any chance you do it today? No, probably not. Nope. It's a nice little couch. I'll show you the picture. It's pretty good. I mean, the ultimate would be if you put it back on his curb. Is it Venmo me what it's worth?
Starting point is 00:56:09 They made a little money on it. Yeah, there you go. That's not a bad idea. I'm serious. I could put those couch cushions. I could wash them in the washing machine. put it out on Craigslist or whatever, I guarantee I'd get $150 for it.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Easy. Because, I mean, it's perfect condition. Just the couch is... You just said it wasn't. You were like, it's not worth anything. Well, no, the couch cushions were dirty. I'm saying if you take the time to wash them, then they'll be fine.
Starting point is 00:56:32 How big was our sign that said Venmoie? Oh, it was real small. I was just on like a little sheet of paper. It was taped to the bookshelf. So really, in my opinion, she was saying that about the bookshelf. Everything else was free. Let's just go with that.
Starting point is 00:56:46 that. Are you sure if she wanted you to take that? Like, I stole a chair once from a guy's curb because I thought it was for my taking and it turns out it wasn't. He just sat on the curb.
Starting point is 00:56:56 And he called me, like it ended up being a thing. Like, I can't even remember how he tracked me down. We talked about it on the show. And then I think y'all said, you need to go ask him if that chair. So I like left a note on his door or something.
Starting point is 00:57:07 Eddie, what do you think that's worth? The couch. Oh, about $150 for sure. Yes. That's a nice couch. Very nice. Yeah. Why not been more $25 bucks?
Starting point is 00:57:15 Yeah. I'm good. See, Amy, that's a nice couch. Oh, my gosh. She's on the couch taking a picture in the middle of the street. Yeah. That's when my wife pulled up and saw it. I called her and said, come get the couch.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Wow. And you paid $0. Okay. How much you think she was looking for? It was up to me. I mean, she was probably, I bet she was expecting at least $50 for that. But she got $0. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:40 Yeah. You see the story in Seattle about the car that was taken with the baby inside of it? Oh. Uh-oh. Just going back to the story She left the car running Went inside real quick Someone stole the car
Starting point is 00:57:51 Because the car was running Got down the road Baby was in the back of the car I mean you know when you're a car thief And you get the car with the baby You're like what? Why? Worst case scenario Of all the cars
Starting point is 00:58:02 Yeah Everybody's fine Good Got the baby back Did he ditch the car or something Why does it be a he? I'm sure it's a he A one week old infant was found safe
Starting point is 00:58:13 After the vehicle Hold on one week? She left him. One week? Oh. I mean, you gotta be desperate to run inside. I mean, it is a lot of... A Cadillac escalate was left running in the 1,000 block of Auburn Way South when it was stolen.
Starting point is 00:58:25 The driver of the vehicle left the escalade running while she went to use the bathroom. It's a tough decision. I know. King County found the vehicle in Maple Valley where the suspect ran into a residential neighborhood, so it sounds like they caught the person while they were still in the car. Yeah, it doesn't sound like they ditched it. They took the suspect into custody. Oh. The baby who was missing for more than an hour was not.
Starting point is 00:58:44 I hate that. You know that mom was freaking out. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay home there's something good. Preston and Blaze, they wanted to start a lemonade stand over the summer. They wanted to make some spending cash. So, you know, they got together with their moms. They were like, hey, got all the supplies, set up the lemonade stand, selling lemonade,
Starting point is 00:59:05 and it was hot. You know, people are buying it. They're making money. Then someone comes up and pays with a $100 bill. And they got to give them change. So they do, give them all their cash. turns out the $100 is fake $100 bill
Starting point is 00:59:19 They got dupe people They got dupe They didn't hold it up to the light And see the little You know magnetic strip They're kids They didn't most know that Hey business man making business deals
Starting point is 00:59:30 Trying to get that money You gotta know it So they called the cops Cops came and the officer felt so bad He went to the ATM And he got $100 out And gave him $100 That's a good story
Starting point is 00:59:40 How it ended but Who's this person We need to figure out who this is Scum and just beat him up. Yeah, I'm in. Vigilante justice. Dang, that stinks, man.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Hey, that's awesome of that officer. Is there a name on that officer? Yeah, Hudson Warden, Officer Hudson Warden of the Eugene Police Department. Shout out Officer Warden, that's awesome. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. In about 15 minutes, we'll take our five-question Harry Potter quiz. I had to watch it.
Starting point is 01:00:09 Eddie had to watch it. It's two and a half hours long? That's very long. Everybody watch it? Very long. Okay, so we've all got to get at least four out of five on the quiz, and then we'll review it. And if we review less than four stars out of five, Mike D gets punished. It's his bit idea.
Starting point is 01:00:25 It wasn't ours. He just loved it so much. He said that we would love it. So we'll do that. But first, the news. Bobby's Big. Stories. Somebody won $432 million in the Mega Millions Jackpot.
Starting point is 01:00:39 They bought that ticket at a Manhattan Pizza Joint. That place also gets $10,000 for selling the ticket. I didn't know pizza place has sold lottery ticket. I didn't either. I mean, maybe it's a gas station pizza place. Yeah. That would be my assumption. A mega million lottery ticket bought in a Manhattan pizza joint with almost half a billion dollars.
Starting point is 01:01:01 Did you buy a ticket to that one? Yeah, I won 40 bucks. Oh, good job. How does that I'll make the news? You should call and tell them, see they want to cover that. Okay, I will. Hey, do a tip. What you do is you call and go, hey, I know somebody in town who won a lot of money in the lottery
Starting point is 01:01:13 and see if they'll cover it. Don't tell them it was only 40 bucks. Say one in the mega millions Mega millions Someone won a lot of money I'll call the news All right On the tip line
Starting point is 01:01:23 Ask to speak to the news director Oh the man Can you get the news director on the phone Is that how it works? If you're a big winner maybe Yeah All right Let us know how that goes
Starting point is 01:01:33 I'll get on that It's the first day of fall Where does that rank Amongst your favorite seasons For me third For me one That's where it ranks for me I like summer
Starting point is 01:01:45 I like spring Fall kind of stinks, winter sucks. Wow. I like to be in shorts. I like to wear slides. I like to work out outside. I like to get cozy and have my coffee and pumpkin spice and everything nice. I get cozy in the spring pretty good.
Starting point is 01:02:02 I turn the air way down at night. They get cozy even in the summertime. Okay. Most people said summer's their favorite. Spring was second. Fall is third. Only 7% like winter of the best. I'd investigate those folks.
Starting point is 01:02:16 Only psychos. like winter the best. Unless you're a professional snowboarder. Sometimes I think about if I had to live one way for the rest of my life, like really, really hot, like hot, 100 degrees, or freezing cold all the time. Like really. Really? But you can bundle up. No, no, you said live away. Yeah, yeah, you have to live in that condition on. Well, then according to your rules, I can go in an air condition place to do whatever you want.
Starting point is 01:02:38 Okay, no, I mean, there is no air condition. You just live that way. Well, then there's no coats. Ooh, exactly. What? Yeah, exactly. Okay. Also in the news, you know, the Gabby Petito story is being updated. They now have ruled her death of homicide. Her body has been identified.
Starting point is 01:02:55 And there was footage from one of those deer cameras that they keep in the woods of him. Yeah, they believe it's him. It looks like him. It looks like him. He's like got a backpack on. It's like black is all. It's a little bit grainy, but it was nighttime. And it's what you see in one of those cameras that you put up if you're, you know, looking for deer.
Starting point is 01:03:11 In what state that was that camera? Alabama, I believe. Alabama. I think it was in Florida. It was near there. A guy was fitting Brian's description was seen on his trail camera set up in Baker, Florida early Monday morning.
Starting point is 01:03:27 And he's alerted authorities. The deer camera footage shows a man with a backpack, trekking through the woods. And listen, it looks like the guy, who was reported missing by his family after being named a person of interest in the disappearance of Gabby. People were quick to point out
Starting point is 01:03:41 that Baker's about 450 to 500 miles away from his home in North Point, North Port, which would have been a long journey on foot. But they're looking. It looks like the guy, but again, it's not like it's a perfect iPhone picture right up to his face. What are the odds? How long are you going to survive out there in the woods just with a backpack? Ryan, they said it's very a snake and gator-infested area.
Starting point is 01:04:03 And even if it wasn't, what are you going to live out there the rest of your life? It's not going to happen. So as they look for him, you know, we're using things like cameras and TikTok and the internet. That's how they found that van. Which is crazy to me. I am so amazed at how they're using people online to help them find clues. And it's crazy. Now that there's cameras everywhere.
Starting point is 01:04:26 You know, there are more eyeballs. More people to report if they see something suspicious. All right, that's the news. Bobby's big. Stories. There you go. Hey, Mike D. says that Gabby Petito's boyfriend, the guy they're searching for, was, like, accidentally on Instagram yesterday.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Yeah, allegedly he went live for like three seconds and you saw like a body of water and then it went away How did he go live for three seconds? How does he have power on a phone? Yeah I don't know so on his account on his account and a few people saw it and screenchotted it Wild and he's on like a green little boat I mean is he trying What do we think he's doing trying to escape America? Maybe it's something like he's just making his way south and man you know he was like oh crap I didn't mean to go live there Yeah I don't know. That's weird.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Like, I've never gone live on Instagram. Accidentally? Or even on purpose. Like, just never. The other thing people pointed out is that he changed the name of, like, a Spotify playlist that he had, that he, like, made, like, right after Gabby went missing, and that changed. From to what? Do you know? It had a title, and then now it's just blank. Do you know what the title was?
Starting point is 01:05:38 Like... Did it have something to do with, like, a road trip or something? Something like that. Yeah, I felt like I saw that, too. Dang old they catch this guy. Me too. I'm surprised he's still alive, honestly. I would have thought he would have probably,
Starting point is 01:05:50 if he had done it and started to run, I'm surprised he's still alive. And that's a lot, he's not traveling 500 miles by foot either. If he's gone 500 miles, as they're saying, like some car got him there. Like he hitchhiked? Maybe. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:06:08 Yeah, I mean, honestly. Like I'm trying to figure it out right now. Some people, if they're not dialed in, they might be like, oh, this guy needs a ride, have no idea who he is. Well, people used to hitchhack like crazy. back in the day. Yeah. I was talking to, and I hope he doesn't mind me sharing this,
Starting point is 01:06:21 the governor of Arkansas at the dinner that I went to, and he was talking about how he met the first lady. He was like, I used to hitchhike over across the state to see her. The governor said this? Yes. Yeah, but I mean, he's about the age. That's what my uncle was in the Navy, and he was on the East Coast and would hitchhike all the way to Texas to see his family.
Starting point is 01:06:38 60s, man. Right. You're going to San Francisco. Different time. I get in. Yeah. That's crazy. I know.
Starting point is 01:06:45 Let's do it. Five questions. Mike D. is going to ask us. You have to get an 80%. Okay. And if you don't, you have to watch every Harry Potter movie. That's the, yeah. What? If you don't pass the test,
Starting point is 01:06:59 you have to watch every Harry Potter movie. How many are there? There's like 26. You'll pass it. Don't worry about it. Write your answers down. Let's go. Question number one. We all watched Harry Potter for the first time. We did.
Starting point is 01:07:12 Mike, how you doing? Good. How are you? All right. First question? How hard are these questions? They're pretty easy, I would say. I didn't make them too hard, not a lot of names, because I know you guys wouldn't know them. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Go ahead. What house does the sorting hat place Harry in? What? Now, if I don't get this name exactly right, is that okay? Yeah. Yeah. What the what? I don't know, dude.
Starting point is 01:07:33 I don't know, dude. I don't know. It is a big part of the movie, though. It is a big part of the movie. But you said no names. Because that hat, that talking hat goes on it. They're like, grr. Yes, and it sends them to a dorm.
Starting point is 01:07:42 But they say this name throughout the entire movie. Yes. Oh, my gosh. I'm not going to get this right. And we just have to get it to where you know we know it. Yes. Because I don't know that I'm going to say it right. I know how it ends.
Starting point is 01:07:53 How what ends? The word or the name. Just write down what you think the answer is. Everybody in? Yeah. Pins down? Yes. I have Glyffindor.
Starting point is 01:08:07 Okay. Is that? That sounds right. Close. Is it close enough to get it right? I would say close enough to get it right. Glyphindore. For you guys, I'll give you that.
Starting point is 01:08:15 All right. Eddie, what do you have? I have Thumbledore. That is not. Right. Dumbledore. I mean, it's Dumbled door. It's something door. Morgan, you need to, you're the Harry Potter. You be the judge
Starting point is 01:08:25 on who's right and who's wrong. Okay. Because it has to be close enough that you know that you know we knew. Yeah, yeah, no, Eddie, no. That's a different name of something. Do I get, do I get Glyffindor? You get Glythinor. It's funny, but you get it. Eddie Dumbledore.
Starting point is 01:08:38 Yeah, what? Isn't that a person? No, no, no. The Wizard's Somethingdorf, but I don't know what. It's a lot of doors and boost. Lunchbox, what do you have? Hogwarts. No, that's... Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:08:49 Morgan? No. Okay, we're in trouble. Okay, we're in trouble. I'm saying, like, come on! Okay, next up. What platform do they use to get to the Hogwarts Express? Name of the platform. Oh, okay. The number.
Starting point is 01:09:03 It's the number. The number. I remember that. You do? Yeah, because they had to walk through that pillar. Yes, I get it, but I don't know the... And it was a little risky because can you actually walk through a pillar? Yeah, you can in Hogwarts. They weren't in Hogwarts yet.
Starting point is 01:09:17 They were on their way to Hogwarts. I got it. I'm in trouble. What do you have, Eddie? 55 and a third. Whatever it was, it was a third. Or three-fourths, one of them. That's, you know, you watched it.
Starting point is 01:09:32 That's accurate. I watched the whole movie. Morgan, do you give them that one? I need to hear the rest of y'all's answers first. I don't want to give anything away. I know it. I know it. I have seven and a half.
Starting point is 01:09:42 And I have nine and three quarters. Maybe it's three-quarters. That's what it is. Yeah, it was between nine and ten. But. We're all idiots. I was, I think I'm wrong. right. Oh. It is nine and three quarters. Yeah, he's right. But I think because we all knew
Starting point is 01:09:55 as a fraction, I think you should get that point. Thank you. Morgan, it's up to you though. Oh. Guys, we watched the movie once. Okay. Yes, you guys can get it right because it is hard to remember numbers from a movie. Yeah. And names. Next one, Mike. All right. What is the name of the sport they play in the movie? Okay, I got that one. You do? Yeah, they even have like human leagues now where they play this kind of. What are you talking about? They don't have human leagues for this. Yes, Yes, they do? Yes, they do. Yes, they do. People fly on brooms? No, but they play this game. Yeah, it's not, they don't fly on brooms any. I'm gonna get it wrong. I think I, I mean, I... Guys, this is like, if you get this wrong, you deserve to have to watch. Are you serious?
Starting point is 01:10:35 Hold on. Wow. I think I have it, but I don't, I mean, this might not even be the right name. What's the question again, Mike, by Harry Potter? What is the name of the sport they play in the movie? Big part of the storyline here. So dumb. Oh gosh, I hope this is it. All right. I don't know. Can I describe the sport? We just talked about it. No, you didn't. I can tell you everything about the game.
Starting point is 01:10:57 I can't tell you the name of the damn sport. Sorry. I'm frustrated. I spent two and a half hours watching this movie and I'm going to fail this test. Okay. I'm sorry. I apologize. Lunchbox, what do you have?
Starting point is 01:11:15 Quitish? Yeah. Is that right? I think that's going to be close enough. Is that? I have Kiddish, but I think that's going to be close enough. Eddie? I have Seeker because he's the Seeker on the game.
Starting point is 01:11:26 I don't know. I don't know. Now it's quiddish. I know it's quiddish. Mike, how do you say it? Quidditch. Quidditch. Morgan, do you give that to everybody or no?
Starting point is 01:11:35 I give it to you lunchmarked. Eddie didn't get the name at all. Yeah. Seeker is the position. Yes, that's his position. Can I describe the game to stay in? No. It's up to Morgan.
Starting point is 01:11:47 Try me. I'll tell you exactly what the game is about. I'm not promising anything. Everyone's on brooms and they have to get these balls and these three hoops, okay? And he's the seeker. He's trying to get the gold one. He's just trying to catch the gold thing with the wings. That's it.
Starting point is 01:11:58 What's the gold thing with the wings called? Who cares what it's called? That was my next question. Oh, no. Oh, my God. The golden thing. I would say, I don't know. You can tell Eddie got that right.
Starting point is 01:12:08 I mean, I watched the movie. I would advocate for you to get that right. Thank you. But I'm not the judge. Morgan. I don't know, though. You didn't even get two of the main names of that game. I already told you I'm not going to be able to get names.
Starting point is 01:12:19 I'm sorry, Eddie. I missed that one. Okay, next one. What did Hagrid buy Harry for his birthday that Harry ended up naming Hedwig? Got it. His birthday. Lunchbox is now clueless. He named him Hedwig, right?
Starting point is 01:12:41 Correct. That's part of the question. I know, I'm just trying to... Do you know that one, Amy? Nope. I'm surprised you don't know that one. I watched this a long time ago. Maybe Christmas last year?
Starting point is 01:12:52 I haven't been feeling. these two are going to punish Mike just to punish Mike now even if they're just because they're not going to pass the test I don't remember what he got him for his birthday okay I'm in see Eddie this is hard dude I'm just a bad test taker I feel like you guys weren't watching the movie we watched the movie I did need an answer guys
Starting point is 01:13:09 the only thing I remember him unwrapping is the broom it's not it lunchbox a dog who an owl the white owl it was an owl I thought he bought that at the beautiful town That was one of the requirements to get in the school. Next up, Mike, one final question.
Starting point is 01:13:30 We'll end on an easy one. What are the names of Harry's two friends? I got that. I struggle with her. Oh, those are the easy names. They're not, they're real names. Well, not one of them is. Let's go to lunchbox first.
Starting point is 01:13:45 Yeah, that's easy. Go ahead. Dumbledorf and Elizabeth. I think those are wrong. Ron Weasley, Weaselie, right? It's one of them. Correct. And Hermannini.
Starting point is 01:13:55 That's good. Hermione. Yeah. Bobby's like, I want five for five, baby. You are. Eddie? I have Ron and Hermione.
Starting point is 01:14:08 You do? Yes. Got it. So what's the final scores here? Let's see. I'm so mad. Oh, three. Three.
Starting point is 01:14:18 You got three? I got three. Bobby's the only one who passed. Well, guys, I'm really sorry. You got to watch. You have to watch another one. We won't do the whole series, but you have to watch another one. Wait, why are you now?
Starting point is 01:14:29 Why are you going back on what you said? Well, because they're not just not going to do it. Yeah, it's a lot. It's a lot, guys. There's so many details in that movie that it's just, it's hard to keep everything straight. And everything's fake. It's not real, so it's hard to remember all that stuff. It's called fiction, Eddie.
Starting point is 01:14:43 Right. And you get kind of bored, so you kind of zone out, and it's like, oh. So, what's the second one they have to watch, Mike? Sorcerer Stone. No, that's the one we just watched. Oh, whatever. Okay, there you go. Oh, Chamber of Secrets.
Starting point is 01:15:00 You have two weeks to watch Chamber of Secrets, guys. Good grief, Eddie. And you have to pass a test. Oh, my gosh. Another test? Yeah, they didn't watch it. I'm sure last night they watched it as the side. Like, it was on while they did something else.
Starting point is 01:15:12 No, I watched the whole movie. You focused on it. And you didn't know kiddish. No. I can't remember the names of the game. You had two and a half hours last night just to dedicate to it. Yes. No kidding.
Starting point is 01:15:22 Yesterday. I started at noon yesterday. Let's be real. I was doing this and doing this. that moving around and it was on it was on and I would try to hear it but I wasn't like dialed in well okay so it's time to rate the movie to rate the movie Eddie yeah I mean it's long you know very long but I got to say hey I like the movie I thought it was great and I was even going to pass the test and say I will happily watch all the movies because I'm in I love Harry Potter
Starting point is 01:15:50 the first movie was fantastic are you sure you watched it I don't know that you watched enough of it to I watched the whole movie. So you're a potterhead? Is that what they're called? Is that what they're not? They're really? That's funny. A potter head.
Starting point is 01:16:03 That's funny like a potter head. I didn't even put that together. Yeah. That's funny. Eddie, what do you give it? Yeah, I give it five out of five. Five out of five. I get it.
Starting point is 01:16:11 I understand why everyone loves that so much. I'm ready to watch the next one. The Chamber of Secrets. Lunchbox? Wait, I'll go. Okay. I'm torn because I wouldn't watch the second one. Because after watching the first one.
Starting point is 01:16:25 I don't want to either. Well, you have to. Oh. And I have to give it four out of five. I know lunchbox isn't going to give it four out of five. Lunchbox, you go ahead and go. Look, guys, I wasn't dialed into that movie because it, from the jump, it's just a bunch of, darks.
Starting point is 01:16:42 I mean, I can see how people love it. I understand that. But it's just not my type of movie. And so once I watched about 20 minutes, I was like, I can do other stuff around the house. I can hear it. I don't need to be dialed in. I give it, I mean,
Starting point is 01:16:56 three because I mean I mean people like it and I can see how they like it but it's not my cup of tea that's a dorky movie and I don't want to watch anymore but now I have to because I'm a bad test taker should I rate it on what I think everybody how America feels about it or myself you what you feel or how I would have felt about it if I watched it back
Starting point is 01:17:15 in it because I don't do that you can't do that today I just don't want to screw Mike over making me to hot chip you know right but Mike said oh he get him a tattoo bones Mike he wants the tattoo oh Mike came in and said that he change our life. Who we are today, you're going to love this movie. Mike, I didn't know your rules because it's going to...
Starting point is 01:17:30 I'm going to evaluate it differently. Go ahead. Is how you felt about it. Three and a half. Sorry, buddy. What is he going to have to do? Hot chip roulette. One of those really hot chips. I liked it enough to where if Caitlin was like, I'll watch a second one, I would be in.
Starting point is 01:17:48 Did she watch it with you? But I'm saying I would watch another one, but I didn't like love it. Really? Mm-hmm. I thought the storyline was great. I knew all the answers. Yes, you did.
Starting point is 01:18:00 You have a great memory. Makes me want to have a broom, but do my hand over it. Pick it out, right? This also showed how we operate as people. Like lunchbox and Eddie watched it yesterday, like last minute,
Starting point is 01:18:13 Craig for it. Bobby started watching it last weekend. Yeah. So he remembered everything. Yeah, so he took his time, he went ahead. Probably how he did college too, right? Exactly.
Starting point is 01:18:23 He probably read the book before his house college. Daddy didn't stop. Okay, so overall, it got like a 3.75 average out of five. That's pretty good. Mike, you're right. It's a good movie. I just couldn't give it a four, rating it on how I felt about it, for real, okay? And so if we don't like Chamber of Secrets, what does Mike have to do? Nothing, but you have to pass the test or your punishment that happens.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Maybe you have to get a Harry Potter time. Okay, we're going to call quits on this bit for now. I will say a good bit, though, Mike D. Just overall, I think it was worth it. Do we have a hot chip? Yeah, we have one, yeah. Do we have chips that aren't hot? Yeah, I can get some, yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:02 Do we want to do this tomorrow or next segment is the question? Next segment. Let's do it next. Do we have enough chips for it? Yeah, I go grab some upstairs. Mike, do you feel okay about doing this segment next? Yeah, sure. Okay.
Starting point is 01:19:14 This is the hottest chip in the world that made somebody cry last time. Who ate it? Oh, who do you think ate it? Was it you? Yeah, remember I had the milk and the yogurt? I remember that. Yeah. Oh, how can you forget?
Starting point is 01:19:23 How hot was the chip? It's not even funny. Are you rooting for him to eat the hot chip? Absolutely. Okay, we'll play hot chip roulette. Next. Scoobb Steve just ran in the studio and goes, we don't have enough chips.
Starting point is 01:23:09 Well, the chips are different size, so he feels as though Mike might be able to feel around. Well, what we do is we put him on a plate in front of him with a number on it, and he just goes three. Yeah. And whatever that is, he eats it. Yeah. Heck. We can put chips down We can put five numbers on the board
Starting point is 01:23:24 And if you fix the wrong number That's the bad chip Yeah, that's kind of how roulette works Is empty Tell me how roulette works I'm curious The way I understand Russian roulette Is you have
Starting point is 01:23:32 Not Russian roulette That's definitely different Amy you're out of your mind right now Russian roulette's where you have an empty chamber With one bullet in That's where this all came from This is roulette Like a roulette
Starting point is 01:23:42 I know I know What I mean is It's not like they have All these dummy bullets Do you want Mike to do Russian roulette? No Okay.
Starting point is 01:23:50 No. This is like Russian a little bit of the chips to be honest. No. But it's like you have empty, empty, empty, empty. So the plates are empty, empty, empty. And then, and then,
Starting point is 01:23:59 wham, there's a chip. Or there's a bullet. Mike is putting a blindfold on now. There are going to be five numbers. Okay, he's going to have a, it's basically a one in five shot. That's not a blindfold. It's a pimping joy shirt over his eyes.
Starting point is 01:24:13 Do we want to play a song and they come back on the backside with it fully ready to go? I have some chips right here. We're ready. Okay. And three. What we'll do is only three. Okay, well, this got harder for Mike. Oh
Starting point is 01:24:23 Oh no. What we'll do is he'll pick a number one through three. He'll open his mouth. We'll place the chip in his mouth and he'll eat it. Nice. Without him ever grabbing you want to go on the Hey scuba let me see which one it is though. I want to tell our listeners. Oh, they're very similar. Wait. You can't. You can't do that to them. Wait. Why would you do that? Why would you do that? I won't let you guys do that tonight. I won't let you guys on. Okay. I won't let you guys do that. Okay. Poor Mike. Mike, I would never let them do you wrong like that. Just know who's got your back over here. And who didn't? I mean, Scoovin's eyes got real big like, Bobby, be quiet.
Starting point is 01:25:01 Because they all look the same. It's the hottest chip ever made. It made lunchbox basically cry. That is miserable. And I had milky yogurt. We're going to settle. We're going to do four chips. He'll get a shot one through four coming up after this song.
Starting point is 01:25:15 Go ahead and play the song. We took a Harry Potter quiz. I was the only one who passed. I'm still mad. We rated the movie. It got 3.7 5 stars out of 5, so now Mike D has to do the punishment because he said we review it higher than that.
Starting point is 01:25:32 So he's now eating the Reaper chip, which is the hottest chip ever made. Lunchbox had one, and basically cried. It was so hot. It was so freaking hot. So as Mike's punishment, there are four chips on a plate. He'll pick one of them and eat it.
Starting point is 01:25:49 It could be the Reaper. It could be a Dorito. Oh, nice. The other three are Doritos because they're similar. Mike's up there with the, I mean, Joy shirt on his face in a microphone. I feel like he's on a documentary, like trying to be, you know, a witness to something that's anonymous. It says, do not eat if you are sensitive to spicy foods, allergic to peppers, pregnant, have any medical conditions, keep out of reach of children. After touching the chip, wash your hands with soap.
Starting point is 01:26:13 Do not touch your eyes or other areas. Oh, gosh. Seek medical assistance should you experience difficulty breathing, feigning, or extended nausea. Oh, my. So there are four chips on the plate. I know what number it is. I'm gonna tell our listeners what number it is Okay, Scoop, I need you to like whisper in his ear or something so he can't hear me do this Okay Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike that's good
Starting point is 01:26:39 Mike there are four chips what number are you going with Mike? My heart is telling me number one Is that the number you're going to go with I'm gonna go with number one it's in my heart All right here he is put your hand down and pick chip number number one. One? Yep, eat it? I think it's a regular chip. It's a regular chip. The hot chip was number three, Mike.
Starting point is 01:27:12 He only has eat one chip? I'm there going to make him at least do two. No. Well, so what do we... I mean, that chip. I can enjoy the chip. His punishment was to play hot chip roulette. Oh, my goodness. And I won.
Starting point is 01:27:25 What do we do with the hot chip? You want it? No. Okay, then. These idiots will have to eat it if they missed the next quiz. I could give him another Harry Potter question. No, no. I don't want that. I already missed two.
Starting point is 01:27:40 Everybody good? Yeah, I think I'm going to skip out on that. Mike, congratulations, buddy. Thank you. All right, there he is. Mike D. is the big winner. Eddie and Lunchbox is the big losers today. Hey, in two weeks, which will be 22nd.
Starting point is 01:27:54 29. The 6th, October 6th, we will have your Harry Potter in the Sorcerer Stone. No, the Chamber of Secrets. Chamber of Secrets. I'll have to watch that multiple times now. All right. Thank you, guys. Lobby Bone Show. Boney up the day. This story comes to us from Oklahoma.
Starting point is 01:28:13 There was a men's adult soccer game, and the refles out and gives one guy a red card. And he gets mad, and he's yelling at the referee. The fans are yelling at the referee. So the referee went over to his bag and fired one shot in their direction. Wait, went over to his bag. Yeah, he has a bag on the sideline, and he fired a shot, a warning shot, saying, leave the field. So I'm into the bag to get a gun?
Starting point is 01:28:34 Yeah. Did most bags have guns in them? I don't know about rec soccer. No, no. The ref went and got a gun out of his little bag where his water was and shot in the... And that's not normal, right? No, it's not normal.
Starting point is 01:28:46 I didn't know if in rec soccer, every referee doesn't have a gun over in his bag. And then the ref fled and they called police and he was arrested. All right, there you got. If that was a common thing in rec soccer, I don't think I would play. No. That would be dangerous.
Starting point is 01:28:59 Yes. All right. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the day. This woman caught the plague from one of her cats. Like deadly plague. As we talk about viruses, she got the plague. Like, I don't think any sort of N-64 mask saves you from the plague. Weird.
Starting point is 01:29:15 So, do I need to worry about my cat? I don't think so. A woman in Wyoming came down with the, I'm going to say it's called the pneumonic plague, the most severe of the plague that can be only passed from person to person, which she likely caught from her cats. Which, by the way, isn't person. No. But she got...
Starting point is 01:29:30 The state health department reported Wyoming's seventh human case of the plague in 43 years. A rare but serious case in a woman in northern Fremont County noting the disease
Starting point is 01:29:41 was believed to have passed through contact with sick pet cats. I wonder what the contact means. Petting? Or, like, give me kisses all the time with cats. Yeah. I've heard cats,
Starting point is 01:29:55 they carry disease in their paws and they hop up everywhere. Like they hot, That's what they do. They're cats. So they hop up on the kitchen counter and then they end up getting where you eat and then you can eat something that might give you a disease. Well, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:30:07 The crazy thing is because it can be past human to human. They're having to trace. You know how they did COVID tracing for a while before people were vaccinated or just didn't care? They have to go back and track and trace her because it can be past human. Used to be like, oh, Eddie's got COVID. I need to make sure that I don't go anywhere. What if it's like? Oh, Betsy's got the plague.
Starting point is 01:30:29 Yeah, this sounds so crazy. Honestly, I don't even know what the plague is. To me, it sounds terrible. It sounds like something that King Arthur has. Yes. People were dying back in the days. You know, 19th roundtable, we're like, all right, who's got the plague? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:30:43 But that's why it's so weird. That's it for today. We're going to end on that note. Amy, what's going on with you, anything today? Yeah, I have therapy, doing some brain work, and then soccer starts today for my daughter. So that, what about you? Well, it's raining.
Starting point is 01:30:58 I have some stuff. Good point about soccer. Maybe we won't have it. It's just rain. And I like rain. But after a while, I'm like, you know what? Tap out. It's been raining for a few days. It's been raining. So the only thing that I know I can do today is probably work out because I have a lot of stuff that we're going to do outside. It's tough to take the dogs for walks too. So they end up all aggravated because they're trapped in the house.
Starting point is 01:31:20 Except for Ella, who just goes and hides in the rain because she has access to the yard and she's muddy. It's just a whole thing. Our house is like a comedy television show. us and two dogs that don't listen. That's it. Have a great day. Bye, everybody. Bobby votes.
