What's happening, friends?
Welcome to Thursday show.
We'll do a big world premiere coming up in just a second.
But first, I want to say,
morning, studio.
Morning.
I want to start with Eddie this morning because you have four kids,
so sometimes you have to hire a babysitter to come over to the house.
You got an awkward situation.
situation with your babysitter where I'm assuming it's a she?
Yes, it's a she.
She wanted to have her boyfriend come over?
Yes.
Is she a teenager?
No, she's a professional, but a young professional.
And so...
Like 20s?
Yeah, like in her 20s, maybe 30s, but she has a boyfriend and she says...
Maybe 30s?
Uh-huh.
Eddie, I thought she was 16 when you said this.
No, no, no, no.
She's a professional.
And she said, I'd love to take care of your kids.
That'd be great.
I'll go and then is it okay
if my boyfriend comes and that's what I was like
oh I don't know about this
but doesn't make it different Amy
that the boy that the girl's not
16 yes huge difference
okay what do you think about this well I have
had different whether
it's to like dog sit or
watch my kids different people and they have
had their boyfriends come over dogs and kids
way different yeah I said I've done
both but I know but you don't
yes
and you said it was okay for
both. Well, that's because I know, I knew the girl and the boyfriend. So, and I trusted them fully. And it
actually was more fun for the kids because they're all hanging out and doing things. So you know the
boyfriend. Yeah. And I knew her well better, but I knew it well enough to where I trusted like,
okay, this, what could go wrong? Do you know her very well? I know her pretty well. Do you know the boyfriend?
No, not at all. Never met the guy. Didn't even know she had a boyfriend. Is he having neck tattoos?
I didn't, I didn't meet him. I still haven't met him. So what did you, what do you, what do you
say to her. I said, uh-uh. No, uh-uh, no boyfriend. Did she say something like, oh, well, I work for
this family before and they let him come over? She said something like, yeah, you know, he's, he's great.
He's so good with kids. I'm like, I don't care. Don't know the dude. Don't want him in my house.
Well, I thought she was 16. Yeah, that was going to say absolutely no, because we're just going to make out.
You know, 16 or 17. The adult thing does change it a bit, but if you don't know the dude,
you don't need some random guy in your house around your kids that you've never. That's what I'm
saying, man. I was shocked.
Unless she's like a cousin of yours
and you're super close to her,
no chance. And this was going to be a night
where we're going to be out to like midnight, the kids go to bed
at 8.30, what are they going to do after all
that? What did she say when you said no?
She just said, oh, okay, all right,
well, let me see if I can do it. I'll make sure everything's cool and then
I'll get back to you. Did you explain to her why?
We just said, like, we're not very comfortable
with strangers coming in and I'm sure your boyfriend's
great, but it'd just be
awesome if it was just you.
So she ended up coming, no boyfriend.
How do you know?
Exactly.
That 830 mark, he showed up.
You guys can add to this on Facebook.
We'll post this on our Facebook page.
Would you let your babysitter's boyfriend come with her?
If you didn't know him.
Correct.
That's the key.
That's the key part.
Because I feel like I'm still a good parent.
And I let the boyfriend come.
No one's even criticizing you.
Over.
No one's even thought about Amy's answers since she said that.
She's over there just stewing in her own guilt.
Right.
Go to our Facebook page, Bobby Bone's show, we'll post it, comment, we'll move from there.
What's happening, friends?
It is that time of the morning where we reach in, pull one out, and open up the mailbag.
You send an email and we read it all the air.
It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag, yeah.
Hello, Bobby Bones.
My kids are totally careless with the stuff that we buy them.
And I've warned that if they don't start treating their products better, there will be consequences.
Well, yesterday, my 15-year-old came and upset because he dropped his new phone in the toilet and it's not working.
He basically expected me to run out and get him a new one.
That ain't going to happen.
I told him I'll get him a new one, but he's going to have to work off the cost by doing chores around the house and helping with his siblings.
He called me unfair.
He stomped off in his room.
He's now not talking to me.
My husband thinks I'm taking things too far, but actually think I'm being pretty fair.
Am I wrong for finally putting my foot down?
Am I being too harsh?
What do you think?
Signed Naomi.
And this is a teenage kid thing.
So I'm going to start with...
We have two parents of teenage kids here.
Amy, I'll start with you.
Your daughter is 14 years old.
Yeah.
A similar situation happened?
I mean, no.
Like, nothing's ever...
Like, she hasn't...
My problem with her is getting her to carry her phone.
Like, so she doesn't...
Oh, it's the most frustrating thing.
But I just feel like kids have to learn from it.
So I think that it's a...
appropriate to probably make him work to earn it back somehow. Yeah, and he needs to pay for it and make
that investment until he can have a phone again. Eddie? Oh, this is so relatable to me and my family.
Like, I do this all the time when they leave stuff outside and it rains. They leave shoes outside in
the backyard all the time and it rains and they're all wet and they can't wear them for a couple
days until they get dried or whatever. I'm like, if I see a pair of shoes outside again in the rain,
I'm keeping them and you will no longer wear them.
Balls, they leave basketballs and footballs.
And what happens in the rain, the leather starts getting worn out
and they're no good after all.
I'm like, I'm not getting you another basketball.
Even though you're playing basketball,
you're going to have to go to practice without a ball
because you left it out.
Did you stay on that enforcement though?
Yes.
To this day.
Are they able to buy a new basketball?
Sure, with their own allowance money.
So what do you say to her?
So, I mean, what she's doing is great.
She has to stick to her guns and make those rules.
And sorry, if your phone's not working,
working, oh, you're out of luck. You're going to have to wait till the next whatever pay period,
or she has to, they have to make that money back so they can get their own new phone.
I think just in general, stating a rule and then holding true to the rule you stated is a big part of,
of a relationship. It's a boundary. You have to set it and you have to stay by it,
or then you don't trust any other rule or boundary the person ever sets.
Correct.
When I was, this sits with me hard because when I was 14 years old, I give a story when I was a
teen and this happened. My uncle, I called him Uncle Bub.
He was a good guy to us.
He was in and out of jail a lot, but we'd show up.
He would always teach him how to gamble and cheat.
And we'd play a lot of cards.
Uncle Bub?
I said good guy to me.
Yeah.
Loved him.
But he'd teach me how to cheat.
And he'd be like, this is how you do this, this car, da, da, da.
And so, but we play a lot of poker against each other.
And he said, don't play with me because if I beat you, I'm keeping your money.
I'm not giving it back like your grandma does sometimes.
Yeah, whatever. So he played, took all the money.
And then I'm like, I want to keep playing. I need to win it back.
And he's like, okay, but you're not getting...
So I had a favorite Cubs hat.
I'm a huge Chicago Cubs fan.
And I said, I bet my Cubs hat. How much is it worth?
And he's like, 20 bucks.
He wins it.
And the night was over and I was like, hey, is there any way I can get my Cubs hat?
He goes, no.
He kept that Cubs hat his whole life.
And he's not alive anymore.
He kept it in his truck as just a way to go,
you cannot live by a rule and then expect a rule.
to not, and I just remember that so vividly.
That's key.
I learned a lesson that night.
It still stays in me, not just in me hearing other people give me boundaries.
They set for me, but for me setting boundaries too.
So you said what you said, Naomi.
I say stick by it.
Now, there's another element here.
Her husband thinks that she's being a little too hard or whatever.
So you guys have to be on the same page, too, and that's tricky as well.
I don't know about that.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, it's really hard.
But set the expectations.
He needs to know that you've set a line.
And you can have a conversation about the next line.
you set. Oh, okay. But he needs to know
you've set a line and he needs to be on the same
page with you. That's what I say.
Everybody good on this one? Yes.
Thank you very much. That's the mailbag.
We've got your email and we read it
on the air. Now it's
about to close Bobby's mailbag.
Yeah.
Ramundo's our audio producer.
You and your wife live in an apartment. You live there
for how long? Three years now.
You like it? Oh, we've really enjoyed it. That's why we've stayed
there as long as we have and the housing market.
it's pretty bad. We all know that.
And we know what Ray puts on Instagram stories basically every night,
that sunset that goes down. Oh, yeah, it's beautiful.
Looking over the river.
Do people like that picture, Ray, that you post?
They do, and they'll send me theirs back from whatever part of the country they live in
and say, hey, here's how the sun looks where I live. It's cool.
Well, get this. Apparently, there are so many people
that are trying to move into Ray's apartment complex because of the housing market.
That, tell them, Ray.
So the apartment complex has asked us if we'd be interested in,
subletting. Since we have a two-bedroom, we would have a roommate. So they want you to let someone move in
with you? Yeah. And then it would obviously make our rent every month a little bit cheaper, actually
significantly cheaper. But we'd have a roommate and we're married mid-30s. So is this something that
you guys are considering? We definitely are. That's why I brought it up. We've talked about it and thought,
man, what can we do with all that extra money we'd be saving? And how bad can a roommate really be?
How much money are they offering you per money?
I mean, bad.
$800.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
For $800, they can be real annoying.
I don't care if they play a musical instrument.
Give me a discount like that.
Ray, you go to bed at like 6 p.m.
That's true.
You wake up one of the morning.
And sometimes don't y'all sleep in separate rooms because of that?
We do.
And I have headphones.
I have a fan.
There's ways to drown out noise.
And I've been doing it for years.
Would you guys recommend Ray for $800 a month?
to take a roommate to live in their apartment, Amy.
I mean, could lead to some interesting content.
That's a good way to look at it.
Do you get to pick Ray?
Like, do you get to pick the person though?
So I wish that was the case.
They said most likely it would be random.
That'd be tough.
No, no, no, no.
If you can pick the person, I am all for it.
Or if you can screen the person.
Maybe not pick the person.
What if like, it's like they end up being,
Ray, what if you get a roommate that is a huge fan of yours?
Or they chop you up at night.
Oh.
I would enjoy a guy I could watch sports with, kind of a bro.
He likes to party on the weekend.
That would be a perfect match.
And then we all go to dinner together.
It ends up being almost a family.
That's a great point.
It's a great point because if it was a bro, he would love that, but his wife would hate it.
If it was a girl, I mean, what if it's a really beautiful woman.
That's what I'm talking about.
That could be trouble.
Trouble.
My wife enjoys talking other females at night.
Usually I go to bed, so she's honestly looking for a companion after I fall asleep at 6 p.m.
What if she's super hot, Ray?
My wife would say no way.
Yeah, Ray would love it.
Okay.
So we kind of know all the facts.
$800, $200, $2 bedroom apartment.
One of the bedrooms goes to the new roommate that you don't know yet.
Do you recommend Ray do it, yes or now?
Yes.
No, man.
I just told you why.
No chance.
He cannot do this.
Lunch box?
Absolutely.
another person to cook for you, clean, and someone to hang out with.
It's an absolute party, Ray, you're up for it.
You need someone to drink the White Clause with.
I say, do it.
Plus, it's $800 in your pocket every single month.
You guys are acting like it's going to be just this great experience with it.
Anytime I've ever been randomly teamed with a roommate, nine times out of ten, it's gone
miserably.
Oh, yeah.
When we did that, oh, my sophomore year of college, it was, oh, it was not that great at all.
And if you're not hurting for money, because.
Because you guys are a two-income, no-kid family, I don't think you take the risk.
Exactly.
I go, no, because it's not going to be worth the headache.
Two to two, Scoobie, what do you say?
Close it out.
I personally wouldn't do it, but I think the apartment complex is screwing you here.
You could go do this on your own and probably charge $1,200 and pick the person you want
versus going with who they choose, $800.
Because they're probably doing this for $1,500 to that person.
True, yeah.
I mean, that's where you get in trouble because they don't want people Airbnb and
Verbo and stuff like that.
So you couldn't do that.
Ray without hiding it. Exactly.
Okay. I would say no then.
We have three noes, two yeses. When will you give us your answer?
We need to decide this month. I believe it would start in October.
For the sake of the radio show, Obie does.
Oh yeah, that'd be great. But for my friend, I don't want him to do it.
All right, let us know the update when you get it, okay?
The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Morgan Number Two, 30 Second Skinny.
Sam Hunt released a new song. It's called 23.
Alan Jackson talks about his song
Where Were You When the World Stop Turning,
ahead of the 20th anniversary of 9-11 this weekend.
That song came out of nowhere for me.
I feel like I can't even take credit for it sometimes
because it's just, I mean, I waked up in the middle of night
and had song ideas and melodies before,
but the chorus was just very clear and structured,
almost word-for-word for the way it ended up on the record.
So it was a gift.
Ashley Monroe released a new EP with Tyler.
Kane. It's called The Covers and features her take on the songs from The Beach Boys,
The Police, and Brian Adams. Here's the cover and collaboration of Love Hurts with Rustin Kelly.
Love hurt. Love in my tongue. We're strong.
I'm Morgan number two. That's Your Skinning.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy. Tell me something good.
So this guy, Dantes, is about to marry his beautiful bride.
It's minutes before the wedding.
And the woman he's marrying has little girls.
And he decided, before he said, I do to this woman, he wanted to propose adoption to the little girls become their dad.
So before the ceremony, yeah, he did.
He proposed them and said, I want to adopt you.
I want to be your dad.
Everyone said yes.
Then he went.
And his wife said yes or his fiancee.
and then they all got married.
Now they're one big happy family.
Did the mom know the adoption was going to happen?
Yeah.
Okay, good.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think, yes, he just said,
I want to become your legal father, will you have me?
It's a very sweet story.
I know.
As long as the mom was in on it, too.
Yes, of course, everyone was in on it.
And he's just been in these little girls' lives for a long time,
and he wanted to legally be their dad, Abigail and Natalie.
I'm assuming something happened to the dad, their biological father.
Yeah.
Just by the nature of the story.
I'm sure he's, yeah, not around or it doesn't mind if this guy adopts them.
Or?
Yeah, or that.
We're not around.
Oh, yeah.
That's a great story.
Love it.
That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
It's time to play Amy versus Lunchbox.
It's tied two to two as we play to five.
Let's go.
Hit that music.
All right, Amy, you get questions.
Lunchbox, I'll know the answer too, okay?
Okay.
The NFL season starts today with the Cowboys and Buccaneers.
Okay.
She's already shaking her head, no.
I'm like, yep.
Probably not going to know this one.
Come on, Amy.
What is it?
Who coaches the Dallas Cowboys?
Oh.
I, like.
It's a really hard one.
I wouldn't have put that on there.
That was too hard.
Jerry Jones or something?
He owns the Cowboys.
Can you give her half credit?
That's incorrect.
Lunchbox?
Mike McCarthy.
That is correct.
Never heard of him in my life.
And you'll never hear of him again.
Is he, why is he no point?
It's not a name you're going to remember.
Okay.
Amy, a hatchet?
Felling, splitting mall, and pick are types of what?
A hatchet, felling, splitting mall, and pick are types of what?
Like an axe or something?
Correct.
Wow.
An axe.
Good job.
What color is the star on the Heineken beer logo?
Red?
Correct.
Wow!
Okay.
That is true.
So you got two.
Lunchbox got one.
Yeah.
How you feeling?
I mean, last time I think lunchbox went like three for three and then some.
So just hoping that's not the case this time.
All right, let's go to Lunchbox.
Here we go.
Lunchbox, what was the theme song from the movie Ghost starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore?
What was the theme song from it?
I didn't know movies had the theme song.
I mean, they're rubbing the clay.
I know that.
I know they rub the clay
We'll go with
Can you name any song from Ghost?
No, no, that's what I'm trying to think of it.
What the heck a name of a song would be?
Cruel intentions.
Incorrect.
That's also a movie.
Amy, can you name the song?
Unchamed melody?
Correct.
Wow!
That's right.
Lunchbox, named after a flower.
What's the lowest rank in Girl Scout?
Oh, uh, Daisy.
Correct.
Really?
I'm terrified that he knows that.
Why do you know that?
I studied that.
I also am shocked.
He knew that.
Lunchbox, seriously.
Yeah, man.
You should have just missed that one, dude.
I can't, I can't open that I have a lot of information in my brain.
Okay.
Lunchbox.
Chattie Kathy, brats,
strawberry shortcake are all types of,
What?
Dalls.
Correct.
Hey, you got to give it to them.
Dolls and daisies?
Well, we have a tie, so I'll run you to the tiebreaker questions.
Okay.
Amy, how many players make up a team in a game of ice hockey?
What?
How many players make up a team in a game of ice hockey on the ice?
Five.
Incorrect.
Lunchbox.
It's 12.
Incorrect.
Six.
Oh, man.
That's five.
Wow.
Can we do who's closer?
Oh, lunchbox can't even steal.
That's right.
This is true.
I see what you're saying.
You did both teams.
I didn't hear that.
I was like, that would be a lot of players.
Amy, other than football, an oval-shaped ball is used in what sport?
Rugby.
Yay.
Correct.
What team won the NBA championship last month?
Last month.
The last NBA championship.
The last one.
Maybe two months ago.
NBA, it's the pro.
Normally the people that are good at that are like the Bulls and the Lakers and the clippers.
and the clippers
And the...
Need an answer?
Wanker...
Okay.
The wanker?
Excuse me?
Go ahead.
I don't know.
Three?
Two.
One.
Lakers.
Lakers.
Incorrect.
Oh, she got one?
Okay.
Clippers.
Lunchbox.
What kind of product
does Paul Mitchell make?
Hair products.
Correct.
What's the first name of Patrick Swayze's character
in the Dirty Dancing movie?
Uh,
Patrick Swazze.
You don't put baby in the corner.
Ben.
Nah, Johnny.
Incorrect, Johnny.
Ah, it's close.
Final question.
To win, Beyonce wore the 128-carat Tiffany Diamond.
That's been in the news lately.
She's not the first singer to do it.
What other pop singer wore it to the Oscars in 2019?
128-carat Tiffany Diamond.
Who wore it to the Oscars?
What did you say?
The Grammys in 2019?
pop singer.
Ariana Grande.
Incorrect.
Lady Gaga.
So do I win?
No, you're tied.
I have a coin. I have a coin. We're going to toss a coin.
All right, lunchbox, I have a coin.
Call it, heads or tails?
Tails.
Eddie, you can say what it is.
You got it.
It's heads.
Oh!
Yes.
I needed that.
Okay.
That's an ugly way to win.
I know, man.
I know.
It hurts.
No more ties.
This show is not soccer.
have soccer on this show.
Okay, Amy, congratulations on your win.
Thank you.
Amy takes a lead three to two,
and Amy versus lunchbox.
There you go.

Financial stress is one of the things that we don't always talk about,
but it hits harder than we realize.
It's not just numbers in a bank account.
It's the anxiety that keeps you up at night.
It's the tension that it can create in relationships
and that constant feeling of, am I doing enough?
There are moments where it's overwhelming,
where no matter how hard you work,
you feel like you just can't quite get ahead.
And what you learn is that stress isn't just financial.
It's emotional.
That's why it's important to check in with yourself.
Because struggling and struggling with money doesn't mean you fail.
It means you might need support in a different way.
Therapy can help you unpack the stress,
the pressure, even the beliefs that you've carried about money for years.
And with better help, you can get matched with a licensed therapist who fits your needs.
Plus, if it's not the right fit, you can switch at any time.
You don't have to carry the weight alone.
When life feels overwhelming, therapy can help.

On the phone, Megan and Colorado Springs.
Megan, what's happening?
Holy moly.
Morning, Bobby.
Morning studio.
Morning.
Okay.
So I just wanted to say, thank you.
We drove from Colorado Springs to Wichita for Bobby Fest.
I've been to lots of family events, Bobby, and this was something different.
Just like people taking care of other people's kids.
Like, I literally went to the ladies' room for the first time alone in probably seven years.
All good stuff.
Because people were like, I'll watch your kids while you go to pee?
Exactly.
You don't want to lose your spot, right?
So you're like, okay, I'll hold it for my babies.
But no, people were stepping up, helping each other.
I even had a lady holding my son so he could see better.
It was just, Amy, your mom's mission of just spreading joy is truly living out through these events that you guys do.
It's just something really special.
Well, we appreciate you sharing that.
We thought the Bobby Fest were pretty good.
I mean, we didn't see any fights or anything.
It wasn't like Woodstock, the documentary Woodstock, they burned everything down.
We were very proud of Bobby Fest.
We did one in New Brombles, Texas, and one of them.
in Wichita, Kansas, and hopefully next year, you know, we can do it again, side stage, lots of
artists that we love.
But Megan, I'm super pumped that you came, you drove all that way, and that you had a good time.
We have the best time.
Thank you very much.
Well, hope you have a good day today.
Thanks, guys.
Have a good one.
All right, bye-bye.
Lunchbox always wants us to send him to cool places, quote, for the show.
For the show.
He's always like, man, it would be great for the show.
Absolutely.
Press everything that would happen when I go to these cool things.
So, here's what we have.
for you.
Okay.
Vegas,
baby.
They say winter is coming to Las Vegas.
A Game of Thrones official fan convention is going to Vegas.
Yes.
Oh, God.
Yes.
Oh, no.
The three-day event that's all about Game of Thrones will be held next year February 18th
or the 20th of next year.
Special guests, panel discussions, cosplay where you dressed up like people.
Autograph, signers, merch, and more.
So we thought maybe next February.
Oh my gosh.
We send you out for a couple days to get interviews,
set in all the panels,
and report back every day.
It's a great idea.
Costume play.
He's got to get dressed up.
You have to get dressed up.
Yeah, you have to be dressed up.
I have to dress like these nerds.
Yeah, nerds?
Yeah, they're absolutely nerds.
I love Game of Thrones.
Yeah.
Who else watched Game of Thrones?
Not me.
Just me?
Me and I.
The two nerds.
So Mike D and I watched every episode.
Loved it when it ended.
We were like, wow, we were there.
We were dialed in.
But I think this was,
be fun for you to go to Vegas.
Oh my gosh.
And spend like 10 hours a day.
With all these? Yes.
Oh, gosh.
I mean, I'm in.
I mean, I'm in because it's Vegas.
But can you imagine the type of people that are going to be there?
I mean, it's like guys like me and Mike.
No chance.
Normal people.
Not normal.
Yeah, right.
Normal.
Yeah, right.
Oh, my gosh.
Hey, boats, how are we going to make sure he's there for 10 hours?
I don't know if I'll be there for 10 hours.
No, no.
No, we have certain things you'll have to go to.
Like each day you're going to have to go to all these things
because we're going to want audio from everything.
And you're going to have to be dressed up every day.
Like what?
All TBD.
Like, I don't even know what they dressed.
I don't even know what the Games Up Thrones person looks like.
And you're going to need to watch four episodes.
Are they dragons?
Four episodes?
Yes.
What is this?
You'll need to watch the first four episodes
so you know what you're talking about.
That's part of it too.
Oh my gosh.
But it's all the company's time.
It's on the company's dime.
Oh, you know what I mean?
And in Vegas.
And in Vegas.
Now we're talking about it now, man.
That feels good.
So after you watch the first four episodes, come back.
We'll quiz you about them.
So I'm going to watch the first four now before the convention.
We have to earn your way.
You have to earn your way to go.
I love it.
It's like a test.
Yes.
You watch the first four.
If you pass that trivia question, then we'll go to the second part of the
which is what?
We'll tell you once you get there.
I mean, that's four hours I'm already investing in my time.
You want to go to Vegas?
You want to go to Vegas?
Vegas and Covered Game of Thrones Convention?
I mean, I don't care about the convention.
I like Vegas.
I'm going to have to hang out with Dorks for how many days?
A couple, a couple to three.
Okay.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So website did a tournament for fans to vote on their favorite George Strait song
from different eras.
It had to be Amarillo by morning.
That would be the 80s era.
From the 80s.
Yeah, that was from the 1982, 1988 time frame.
It was number one?
Yep.
I bet close second though would have been
You got to have an Ais and a home or oceanfront property
From the 80s?
Oh, that would be from 90s
No 80s
Wow
Yeah
Okay, what was the head of the 90s?
Okay, so from 89 to 93
Love Without End Amen
That's a weird
Years, 89 to 93?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but why don't they just do the 90s?
Okay, next up
From 94 to 99, I can still make Cheyenne
No.
Yeah.
No.
Like, this is a fine song.
It's okay.
Yeah.
Eddie's West Virginia down the Tennessee.
Yeah, carry your love with me, check yes or no.
I know.
All right, what else?
Interesting.
And then 2000 to 2013 was the window for this one, Trubidor.
I like this.
Eddie, you know, that's not your favorite?
Not my favorite.
Man, you guys are George Strait, hardcore, and you're not agreeing with this.
Yeah.
And did y'all know the Amarillo by morning back to that one?
That it's actually a cover?
Huh?
Yeah.
We've talked about those bones, right?
The original is by Terry Stafford, and it came out in 1973.
Oh, this is my jam.
Live at the Denny's.
That's interesting.
Are there any other ones, or is that it?
That's the weirdest age, like your bracket story you've ever done.
We were in New Bromples, which is near San Antonio.
And I said, I got on stage with the crowd.
and we'd invited George Strait to come out and play a song with us.
And I said, I'd love to introduce you guys to George Stray.
And I was like, I'd love to, but he didn't show up.
So then Eddie played Amarillo by morning.
That's funny.
I bet people love that just as much.
Not just as much.
No chance.
No chance.
What else you got?
Okay, so apparently we need to stop telling our kids, good job.
I feel like that's an easy go-to.
If your kid does something, you're like, oh, good job.
But experts are saying we should really try saying these alternatives.
alternatives, like to engage conversation with our kids and really compliment them on like,
hey, it looks like you really worked hard on that.
Or that looks like it took a lot of strength.
You can describe what you see and ask them questions.
So I just thought, oh, I need to take these notes because I feel like our default is good
job when really we could take it a step further and say like, wow, that's so creative
of you.
Like what part of you made, you know, how did you think to even do that?
And then it gets their brain going in a different direction.
I wish people would ask me questions like that.
I know.
No one does.
They're just like, hey, man, good job on those ratings.
No, they really need to be like, wow.
Like, what do you think you did differently?
And I would say nothing.
You have a bun, this is for kids.
And I'll say, leave me alone.
Like, we can say to you right now, too.
Like, I can see, Bobby, you're really trying hard to make a good choice.
About what?
Well, that's just one of the alternatives.
Oh, dang, I really was hoping I was going to compliment there.
All right, what else you got?
Okay, and this last story just kind of freaked me out a little bit.
A landlord in Maine found a 19.
14 tarantulas and one python left behind by a tenant.
You would think if you're that into them, you would take them with you.
I know.
But maybe just wherever you were going, like if you had to relocate, maybe these types of animals weren't allowed.
Why would you have 19 tarantulas, though?
No idea.
It's weird.
And a python.
I mean, the python is weird, but it's one snake.
Maybe you're just curious about snake.
Not a snake.
It's a python.
Not even this.
It's huge.
But not all pythons are humongous like you're thinking.
No, I know, but it's still a python.
It's a lot of garden snake.
It's weird.
but you're the landlord.
You're like, all right, let me go make sure they get their deposit back.
And what that?
Well, those animals, they're illegal in Maine.
Nah.
Trancholves must not be around here because I have a friend that has one.
Unless you're selling them out right now.
Oh, there you.
Is that it?
I'm Amy. That's my file.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Stay home is something good.
Frank Grassburger is a World War II veteran.
He's survived.
three heart attacks, survived World War II,
and now he has another miracle in his life.
12 years ago, he got a letter from a nine-year-old girl
that just said, hey, I wanted to say thank you for being in the military,
all this stuff, thanking him for everything he's done for his country.
12 years later, she's in the National Guard.
He tracked her down and they met in person.
Oh, wow, she's in the National Guard.
Yeah.
She also went in the service.
Awesome.
But nine years old, he carries that letter in his pocket every single day.
That's pretty cool.
I mean, you also got to make sure that the paper doesn't, like, disintegrate.
Yeah.
Oh, my husband.
He must have cared for that letter.
Oh, yeah, that's a long time ago.
I used to keep a note in my wallet.
And I've had to change it a few times.
I've had to write a new note, took it from when I was a kid.
They looked a little, and it kept, like.
Yeah, it's hard to keep a piece of paper.
What?
I was just saying, my husband has a note in his wallet from something I wrote in
2006, and then also something that his best friend, who happens to be,
My sister's husband wrote in like 2004.
Keeps them in there.
I'm surprised that you can keep paper going.
Yeah.
And he found her on social media, by the way.
Charter for down.
How does he have social media?
How old is he?
Well, I mean, I guess family, I don't know.
He's been looking for her for years and then finally, boom.
The story we didn't even know is on TikTok.
That's great.
That's an awesome story.
That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Tomorrow is a big day for a new artist, Aaron Goodman.
Now, Aaron sent this whole thing to my office, and most people send stuff like, will you just play my song?
And he was like, would you just throw it in the dance party?
Like, that's been a dream of mine.
So yesterday, we played it, and it was awesome.
And so on tomorrow's show, we will throw it in the Friday morning dance party.
Here's a clip of this song.
Tomorrow on the dance party, we will be playing that one from Aaron Goodwin.
All right, 90 seconds is on the clock.
It's time for the morning corny, but it's the investigative morning corny.
We have to figure it out.
Here we go.
The morning corny.
What's a pirate's favorite type of egg?
It's got to be some kind of R, right?
Yeah.
It's a pirate's favorite kind of egg.
Oh, I got it.
What?
You said egg, right?
I said egg.
Hard-boiled egg.
Hard-boiled egg.
That's only egg.
It's got to be an R, right?
Yeah, that's it.
Because once you said it has to be R, because I was thinking scrambled.
What if it has some?
to do with like treasure chests or booty,
Pirates booty.
Okay, okay, we're not going to commit yet.
If we come to the end and we don't have one, we'll go harr.
Because I think the obvious is ar.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What's a pirate's favorite kind of egg?
Hook.
Egg.
Hook.
Is there something to do that hook?
Egg.
Okay, what are kinds of eggs?
You got boiled?
Sunny side.
Sunny side up?
Scrambled?
You got scrambled.
No, no, no.
What hell are eggs are there?
poached? Is that an egg?
Yeah, poached.
Is there only one kind of egg
from one kind of animal?
Oh, ostrich.
Arr.
Chicken, rooster.
Favorite kind of egg?
No, it's not a rooster.
Quail, dove.
Dinosaur.
What's the pirate's favorite kind of egg?
Fish eggs?
Ro.
Ro!
Ro!
Fish eggs.
What is ro?
Ro, roe, ro, ro.
Fish egg.
Fish eggs, caviar.
Are we going too hard on the ars, you think?
I don't know.
Somebody yelled fish eggs, but that's what fish eggs are.
Caviar.
Five seconds.
What's the pirate's favorite kind of egg?
Just go with hard.
Hard boiled?
It's a pirate at sea.
What's the favorite kind of egg?
Then we got to go with that other one you said, that caviar.
Or row, row your boat.
I don't understand that, Eddie.
Ro is fish eggs, guys.
Ro?
Okay, don't do that.
I don't even know what that is.
I don't get it.
Okay, so we have three options here.
We have hard boiled is not bad.
And then Eddie said fish eggs, but with that went, row.
Don't do that one.
And then since you said fish eggs, I went, well, caviar, because that's a fish egg.
Yes.
I didn't know that.
Okay.
We don't know what we're doing here.
I think the OG's probably the best.
Which one?
Har.
No, no, here's why OG's not the best, because she kept saying, are there other kind of eggs?
So obviously we were on the wrong track.
So it has to be the caviar.
Say it right.
Cavar.
Caviar. Caviar? Caviar.
Caviar.
Caviar.
All right.
Okay.
So we're going with caviar?
Okay, I guess.
Oof.
Okay.
I don't feel confident, but let's do it.
Here we go.
The morning corny.
What's the pirate's favorite kind of egg?
What's a pirate's favorite kind of egg?
Caviar.
Yay!
Okay.
Wow.
Let's go.
Wow.
Total team effort there for sure.
Clear eyes, full hearts.
Can't lose
Wow
Keith Urban
put out a clip of him at 16
He did a talent show
It was on TV
And the judge was like
Eh, you're not good enough
So here you go
Here's a clip of Keith being introduced
On the show in 1983
And here's his performance
Act 4
Keith Urban from Queensland
I'm all out of love
I'm so lost without you
I know you were right
Believe in so long
Am I without you?
I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong.
Which, by the way, sounds the same.
Yeah.
Here's the judge.
At 16, I'd have thought, for instance, you'd be pretty keen on forming a group.
You're a little, I think, as a solo performer, not quite enough strength.
But if you had a rock group around you and you were the lead vocalist, you know, it's real bassity roll as time.
It could be that sort of feel.
And another youthful group in Australia is not going to go astray.
but you can do it.
You just need to seriously work on it now
now that you've got the ability
to play the car and sing,
get into it properly.
People were acting like the judge
was crushing him.
That judge was pretty nice.
He encourages him.
Yeah, Keith Urban wrote,
sometimes you just got to prove him wrong.
He did join a band, though.
He was the ranch.
He almost did everything that guy told him to do.
And then he went solo.
This judge kind of nailed it.
But also, Keith was only 16 there.
Right.
Like any 16-year-old kid's going to have,
you know, an ability to grow a lot
from where they are then.
For sure.
But I thought it was interesting.
interesting just listening to Keith Urban singing at 16, which sounds very much like Keith
I've been singing to us in here right now.
On the Bobby Bones Show now.
Morgan, how are you, bud?
I'm great.
How are you?
I'm pretty good.
Morgan has this like Australian beach vibe.
He's in flip-flops.
Yeah.
Like old-school ones.
You don't see old-school flip-flops much anymore.
Is that right?
What makes these old-school?
That they're just the toe in the thing.
It's like it's like Walmart.
Those are Walmart flip-flops.
No, no.
I think that they're not.
They're not.
These are the Haviana brand?
Yes, the Haviana.
Oh, nice.
Too rich for our blood.
But...
I think that costs you about nine bucks or something like that.
No, they are cool, but like slides are kind of in right now, so I guess that's what Bobby means.
Oh, the slides, I've seen them.
You wear socks with the slides, right?
I've seen people at the airport doing that.
Sox and fliplops is like an ultimate fashion disaster where I'm from.
The airport...
I will wear socks with slides only so I can slide my slides off,
because I will not go barefoot on an airplane.
But I will go sock foot if I'm just...
sitting. Does that make sense?
Perfect sense to me. Yeah, yeah. Barefoot and airplane. That sounds...
Not barefoot, sock foot. Sock foot's fine, yeah.
Everything else go with you? Life's good. Yeah, I mean, we're playing music again. It's
pretty hard to complain. Next week, you go out with Brett Eldridge on the Good Day tour?
Yeah, I'm really looking forward to that. Yeah. How long a set do you get when you play with
Brett? We have 45 minutes. Oh, that's like a whole set. It is. It's a full show.
This is actually the first tour I've done in America opening where there's actually someone on
before me. So that's a novelty for me. Hey, it's a big step. Yeah, someone before him. I love that.
Here we go. At what point do you play Kiss Somebody? It's funny, man. We've been playing around
with that. So I think the pandemic has been really good for one of my songs in particular.
Maybe something to do with the way people have been spending their lockdown time. And we used to
play Kiss Somebody last because it was the biggest song on the radio generally when you travel around
people know it. But after the last 18 months, Day Drunk is now by far the biggest song in our set.
So we finished with that and we play Kiss Somebody a little earlier.
Give me a little verse and chorus of Kiss Somebody.
All right.
Your former big old smash hit.
Sometimes you got to drink about somebody,
that ain't going to bring them back.
Sometimes you could cry and miss somebody.
We've all felt like that.
If it's something that you gotta get over,
but you just can't get over.
Sometimes you got to kiss somebody.
In the back of a cabber on a subway train, times you gotta kiss somebody on a midnight street in the summer rain.
If you're wishing you were with somebody, you don't want to go home when it's closing time if you want to kiss somebody.
Baby, I got somebody in mind.
You can kiss like your heart ain't never been broke.
Kind of lips at your lips.
Get your eyes to close.
I know what you're going through.
Because I want to kiss somebody too
Nice
I want to kiss somebody like you
Like you
I want to kiss somebody like you
I got to high harmony
I thought he was done
And then I just jumped in
Yeah
He's still going
He never stops
Bobby's like
So what are you doing
I'm going to get some guy
That's the you live version
Right there
Morgan Evans is here right now
I saw you post the other day
And you were like
You can text me at this number
Yeah, it's on your Instagram bio.
So I texted you. I was like, hey man, you want to go to lunch?
And you never text me back.
You did not text me?
Yeah, I texted that number and said, do you want to go to lunch?
Just to see.
Were you under a different name or something?
No, no, I just said it's Bobby.
But that's a, but if you text that number on your Instagram, does that go right to your phone?
Yeah, well, it's an app on the phone, yeah.
So it's not your real number.
Well, you have my real number, too, actually.
But I did try the app.
I did text the number.
We're like, hey, man, I want to go to lunch?
And I never heard from you on the app.
Yeah, that's right.
Well, maybe I need to dig back in there.
I do you pick up if someone calls?
Wait, can they call you?
It's not a call thing.
It's a text thing.
But it's really cool.
I find it like it's very rewarding
to be able to connect one-on-one with people.
This is what I would like to do
because this show is all about authenticity.
Yeah.
And if you go to Morgan's Instagram,
you can see his text number
that goes to an app.
But I'm going to give you
his real cell phone number, everybody.
Oh, yeah, thank you.
We can really connect one-on-one.
Hey, I want you to do something else for me
for a second.
Because I do want to talk about the new song
and get into the new song.
Do you need your pedal to play a little bit of day drunk,
or can you play it right there?
I can play it right here.
Okay.
I actually, I've retired the pedal.
You have?
Yeah.
Okay.
Because the only time I've ever seen you play day drunk was with the pedal.
Yeah.
And I didn't tell you I was going to ask you to play day drunk.
Right, right, right.
Can you play as a verse and course of day drunk?
Yeah, of course.
Here we go.
And here we go.
We bought that.
Champagne for New Year's.
We got one bottle left.
Let's pop it open, baby.
What you say.
Stay in that t-shirt, you don't need to get dressed,
because we got plans to make no plans today.
I'm thinking happy hour on the hour, in the kitchen, in the shower,
dancing tipsy singing with me, baby,
let's get a little day drunk, party with that shade zone.
Play a bunch of old songs, sing along, get the words wrong.
Who cares?
Day drum, get down while the sun's up, make a little good love like it's date night in the daylight,
and it feels right when you day drum, day drum, yeah, when you day drum, day drunk.
Are you done?
Okay, okay, there is.
Morgan Evans.
Thank you, thank you.
Follow them at Morgan Evans' music.
I want to come back and talk a lot about the new song and have you play the new song in a second.
And somehow I'm going to tie that into aliens, your new song.
Because I have a quite...
I look forward to that.
Me too, me too, because I'm a big alien guy here.
We're going to come back with Morgan Evans, which, by the way, he's out with Brett Eldridge
starting next week.
His new song is Love is Real.
He's going to have to play that for us in a second as well.
We'll be back in a minute.

Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care.
Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to
build a yard plan tailored to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door.
No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple
nutrient dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. Everything hooks up to a hose,
which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying,
Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis.

On the Bobby Bones show now
Morgan Evans
We'd like to hear you tune live
I know you're about to tune
I want our audience to hear what you're doing
preparing for a song here
Yeah okay
Alright go ahead
Do the live tuning
Yeah so right now he's put the phone on his knee
And on the phone
It will tell you different letters
If your string hits exactly right
It'll show up as that letter
Exactly is like kind of a rough term
When you use the phone tuner
It's close enough kind of thing
Made me seem smart. Morgan, don't contradict me.
And Morgan's going to play his new song, Love is Real.
And right now he's perfecting the strings.
It sounds way better when it's closely to anything.
Oh, do you hear that?
Wow.
Wow. That is a tuning, a live tuning.
For you guys, I will tune.
Wow, that is amazing.
Morgan Evans is here.
You may know him by a couple of songs from his past.
For example, kiss somebody.
Sometimes you got to kiss somebody.
somebody maybe day drunk let's get a little day drunk possibly diamonds so now you have this new
song love is real and i'm going to have you play the full song i'm talking i want you to go from the first
word to the end i want all the emotion from this song all right because you wrote this what happens
you go into a room do you have the idea on your phone does somebody else come to you with it tell me about
this song yeah i had this title for a long time and i was trying to find the right way to write
it because you know sometimes songs can get a little bit clever and and the cleverest like it takes
away from the feeling of the song yeah and I really just wanted this to be just a straight sharing
of a feeling when everything's right in the world you know I feel like over the last year and a half
I've wanted the good vibes and I just want to share that and for me that's you know the lyrics and
the verse of this song which is a good road trip with you girl and um feeling like
You guys have a Jeep, huh?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's cool.
I have no follow-up.
I just, I have no follow-up. I just took the roof and doors off and all that the other day for the first time.
It's a good feeling.
Yeah, that's cool.
That's neat.
I love is real.
This is it.
This is Morgan Evans' new single.
He's going to play it for you.
Let's go.
All righty.
Bear feet on a bench seat, high way in the sky.
Bandana and your blue jeans, you DJ, I drive.
Living through the radio.
in my hat you always still yeah
quick stop at a texico
last exit for miles
tank top and a top of cheek
high on your smile
feeling like a polaroid
the way time standing still
yeah
love is real
and I could try
in hand in the rust from laithes
we've
where I feel
know I always
you are my love is real
is real
you are mine
love is real
wow
there is Morgan Hennon
Thank you
We were giving it a second
We never know it to you
You might jump back into it
That's good
I like that
That's a really good song
I'd heard it already
But the first time I heard it
I was like that's a really good song
Thanks man
You can probably tell us the first time I've sung that this morning
I appreciate it
So, bear with me.
Would you mind just playing the first line of that song again, just as you did?
Yeah, the guitar line or the vocal line?
The vocal line.
Yeah.
I don't know what guitar line is.
But if vocal, yeah, just sing the first line for me, just like you did.
Bear feet on a bench seat, highway in the sky.
Hold.
Say that with no music, like you're just saying it to me.
Some sort of test out of stuff.
No, no, no, just say it like you were talking.
Sing it?
No, just say it.
Oh.
Bare feet on the bench seat, highway, and.
the sky. Now there's an accent when he says it. There's no accent when he sings it. It's unbelievable.
Is that crazy? He's like, bear feet on an abendish seat. And it's like, so hey, Morgan,
bear feet, however your accent. That's crazy you think your accent, because that's not on purpose,
right? No, it's weird, isn't it? I grew up singing American music or I thought it was that,
but, you know, even Keith Urban sounds American when he sings, you know, and even the Beatles
sound American when they sing. I actually Googled this one time, so like you go on YouTube or whatever,
and there's a guy on there, and he explains that maybe the American accent,
the way that the American accent approaches vowels,
is more pleasant to the human ear or something like that,
if you want to get technical.
But I grew up trying to sound like Garth Brooks, so here I am.
Sometimes, though, even Spice Girl songs, they sound like they're speaking American English.
Or Brad, from Three Doors Down, has a really thick southern accent,
but when he sings, you don't hear that extreme.
So basically, music brings us all together.
That's what I'm saying.
You know what?
It's a universal way.
It's a universal.
Universal love.
It really does, yeah.
That song's really good.
When you play it live, it's really good.
Kit, have you ever tried to sing with your accent?
Try that.
Try that line.
It's not good.
It's not good.
You know, there's some legendary Australian country artists and rock and roll artists that sing
in Australian accents and they do it and it works.
For some reason for me, it doesn't feel, it doesn't feel right.
Here's what I want to ask you.
You have the song Love is Real.
Which of these do you believe is real?
Do you believe that a lot of these little spacecrafts that are showing up more now than
never. Do you believe they're alien? Do you think aliens
are real? Yeah.
You think aliens are real? In these space
because here's my theory. Before I make you commit to
anything, right. These guys all say
lunchbox says no chance. No chance.
You guys are cuckoo. Whoa, wait.
Is the question aliens are real or they're here on earth?
Because here's the explanation. I say
that, because we're seeing more and more of these unidentified aerial
phenomenon they're calling it now. And I
say, hey, if they're so advanced and they don't
want us to see them, we wouldn't
see them. Our eyes have
these cones in them, we can't see some things.
Right.
Animals have things in their ears, they can hear things we can't.
Yeah.
There's nothing that says we would have to, we would be able to see.
Right.
Some life form that is far more sophisticated than we are.
Right.
Now, do I believe there could be something?
Yeah, probably.
Do I think these little spaceships that we're seeing all the time have aliens them?
I think no there.
Right.
Because if they didn't want us to see, we wouldn't.
Yeah.
So with all that, our aliens are real?
You're on the clock.
Well, I'm inclined to agree with your, with your, um,
you're thinking that.
Yeah, it's silly to, like, just say there's definitely no aliens, right?
I say it's silly, too, because it's silly to say there's definitely nothing of something you can't prove either way.
Exactly, yeah.
Right, but in our opinion, the current aerial phenomenons are not carrying little aliens.
Do I think they have aliens in them?
Probably not.
Yeah.
What about love at first sight?
Do you think that's real?
At first sight.
Yeah, I guess.
Yeah, you have to say that.
There's an inclination.
You can definitely feel an inclination.
Let me tell you why I don't believe you.
I don't believe that.
Okay.
I believe that there is first sight of, wow, that person is really hot, and we hit it off immediately.
But sometimes that happens and it doesn't work out.
If that happens and it works out, I think you retro assign.
It's definitely a retro assignment.
Love at first sight.
People have more than a look, though.
There's an energy people have, too.
When you look at someone, you can kind of...
Look at me.
You can tell...
Oh, you got that energy.
Yeah.
You can see in people's eyes, the way they stand, the way they, like, open their body towards whoever they're talking to.
There's a lot of body open.
though that I thought that's a good open body but then I ended up hating.
Yeah, okay.
Hate it first sight.
How about Bigfoot?
I don't know much about Bigfoot.
Do you guys not have a version of Bigfoot in Australia?
Probably drop bears, I think.
They talk about it in Australia, right?
What's that?
Bears that fall out of trees.
It might have been an alcohol marketing campaign at some point.
So that's not a real thing, drop bearers?
No, they don't drop out of trees.
There's actually no bears in Australia.
Final question.
I got him here.
This is the one I'm waiting to ask them.
There's no bears there?
I thought koala bears were from Australia.
But drop bears.
Not like the big.
This is the one, though.
This is the one I want to put you on the spot.
And your team's going to get uncomfortable and everyone's going to go, why is he asking?
And it's not political and it's not about masks.
But it's about, do you think that I can beat up a kangaroo?
Because I've said for a long time that one-on-one, me and a kangaroo, I can beat it up
because I'm smarter than the kangaroo.
Right.
Yeah, I mean.
You have a thousand.
Somebody says, here's a thousand bucks.
Bet it on the kangaroo in this room or me?
If we just put a big red one, like a 10 foot tall one and you in this room?
Yeah, we're not doing a little one.
Wait, they're 10 foot tall.
They can't be on their legs.
Good for me.
I'm about to really show out then if it's 10 foot tall.
They range anywhere from like 5 to 10 feet.
And they're rich.
Okay, then 7.5 feet.
Let's go to the middle.
Okay, yeah, go to middle.
There's a 7.5 foot kangaroo.
Still bigger than you.
And we're in a ring.
And they say Morgan Evans, here's a thousand bucks.
Do I get to ask one more questions?
Yeah, you think you can beat the kangaroo?
Yeah.
I'll bet on you then.
Of course.
Yeah.
Well, you're not going to ask the kangaroo?
Kangaroo can't talk, dummy?
No.
Yeah, I'm the dummy.
So the kangaroos that you see in those fighting videos, I didn't see them growing up,
because I grew up kind of near the coast, which is like most of Australia.
And we have the little gray, cute ones that you try not to hit.
I definitely whoop those butts.
They're more like deer, right?
We love them.
I kick a little gray kangaroo's butt.
I'd do that, like the prelim, and then I'd go out and whoop the big one.
Yeah.
Okay.
You're just a beat-up animals.
I'm like the biggest animal guy in the world.
But now I don't want to fight them on a ring.
There's this one in particular.
I'm like the Logan Paul of Beat Nail Animals.
I'm on YouTube.
Okay, listen.
Morgan Evans is here.
His new song is Love is Real.
I hope you stream it.
I hope you stream it so many times that he just can't count the money showing up in his mailbox.
That's the goal, right?
Yeah, you're welcome.
He'll be out with Brett Eldridge on the Good Day tour.
He's on Instagram at Morgan Evans Music.
Is there anything I'm not saying that you'd like for me to say?
You've nailed it all the way down to the kangaroos.
and Bigfoot, yeah.
All right, that is all.
It's time for the good news.
With producer Eddie.
Yeah, home it's something good.
Well, back in August of last year,
this 10-year-old Nandy Bichelle,
she's a drummer, and she challenged Dave Grohl
of the Food Fighters to a drum off.
Phones, you may have remembered the video.
It went viral.
Well, she never really got to meet Dave Grohl.
Well, last week at a show in California,
Dave Grohl and the Food Fighters were playing a show
and invited her up, and she played drums on ever long.
Oh, she did.
Yes.
There's audio for this.
There you go.
Awesome. She's killing it.
She's 11 now.
She's up there with the food fighters.
That reminds me of when you and I got to like sing with Garth at the rhyming.
Yeah.
Or Brooks and Dunn.
That's pretty cool.
Or all these people that we loved when we were kids are like, wow, we're here with them.
I wish you would have been we were 11.
That's pretty cool.
No, we were grown men.
Listen to her again.
The drums, again, she's 11.
Here.
Man, that's awesome.
Pretty cool, huh?
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
What's Happened of Friends?
Welcome to the show.
It is that time of the morning where we go and do the news.
Bobby's Big
Stories
We'll start with the new cast for season 30 of Dancing with the Stars
It was announced yesterday
Did you see any of them?
No, I, Jojo?
She was old.
They announced her like a week ago.
Okay.
So the person that I've been talking with
Slowly giving advice to secretly is Jimmy Allen.
Saw that.
There you go.
He posted about that.
So who did?
You did.
Oh yeah, I did.
It was after he announced it yesterday
after it was announced.
But I remember Jimmy calling.
And I did the same thing.
They're like, don't tell anybody.
But I called Drew Scott from Property Brothers.
And I was like, hey, you got to help me.
And I had a couple friends early on that I called,
that had done the show prior to be like,
what am I expecting here?
And so I talked to Jimmy for a long time,
and he's like, and they're not revealing their partners
until the show starts, but he got a great one.
And I was like, that.
You know.
I was like, that's what I'm talking about.
Yeah.
So Jimmy Allen's going to do Dancing with a Star,
which is great.
We talked about why he was doing the show.
and I struggled at first with agreeing to do the show
because I was like,
is it only losers to do this show?
And I called Charlemagne the God,
who's one of my dearest friends,
and I said, what's up?
He goes, well, there only two kind of people to do the show.
People on their way up and people on their way down.
Like, nobody's killing it right now and goes,
I'm going to do Dancing with the Stars.
He goes, Michael Strahan did it.
Wendy Williams did it, like all on the way up.
He goes, you're on your way up.
Go do the show.
Stop whining about it.
And I was like, oh, yes, sir, Charlemagne.
You got it.
Does that mean you have a chance to do it again?
No.
Even if I'm a big loser?
On the way down.
I don't think I ever got high enough to go down enough.
But Jimmy Allen, Mel C., do you know who that is?
Yeah, from, is that Spice Girls?
Mm-hmm.
Sporty Spice.
Mm-hmm.
Do you know Malora Hardin?
No.
She's an actress.
Olivia Jade Giannoli?
You do.
Oh, I do.
She's Aunt Becky's daughter.
Oh.
Who got in trouble.
Okay, I do.
Oh, the real one?
Wow.
Interesting.
The Bachelor star Matt James, who is the favorite to win just because the Bachelor people.
The last two people after me have been Bachelor people.
They just have a big voting blog that watched that network.
Didn't like they change the voting style because of you?
Yes, they did.
They did change the voting style.
Amanda Clutes from the talk when I did the show, she was the blonde woman.
And she pulled me aside and said, I'm thinking about doing dancing with the stars.
Oh, wow.
She was like, should I?
And I was like, well, here's what you got to expect.
So I knew that she was talking to them.
but she's doing it
one of the Pelotin guys
actor Brian Austin Green
who is Sharna's boyfriend
So what is she gonna be?
They haven't announced the dancers yet
Oh wow
What if she does it?
Their chemistry on stage is gonna be amazing
Or they want to kill each other
And he can dance
Like I remember that from 902 and out
Because Chuck Wicks
When he was with
Julianne Huff
They were together and they did the show
Oh wow
Did he win it?
No
No
No
He finished like six or seven
opposite of what we were saying.
So Dancing with the Stars
announced their lineup.
Women are now more likely
than men to control the TV remote.
A new poll found that women are more likely
to control the TV remote
and choose the shows that the couples watch.
Not in my house.
Really?
Nah.
Why?
It's just usually me that has a remote
and if she wants me to find a streaming service,
I will go to it happily.
It's pretty split at our house.
Most of what we watch
those old stuff like the office,
if it's on.
But we both
dictate what shows we're like right now we're watching click bait and that's her pick so i would say
it's pretty split yeah but who's holding the remote you me but i don't think physically holding
the remote is holding the remote they mean metaphorically yeah picking the shows tictox surpasses
youtube and viewing time per user which i can tell you i'm on ticot all the time watching swipe
the funniest content the end it's the best yeah i guess i need to venture over there more you can
waste hours doing it. I don't. The only time I'm ever there is if my daughter's there. Well, you have
to create your own TikTok, meaning if you like enough videos that you like, you'll start to get more
of what you like so you live in different worlds on TikTok world. I don't have my world created.
Yesterday, I spent a lot of the day doing interviews and also doing a documentary watch with Purina
because for the past four years, I've been working with Purina Dog Chow to help them get service
dogs, like our vets that come back with PTSD and get service dogs. And I was talking about that to a lot of
TV news stations. We did the whole deal there. Over three million military veterans suffer from
PTSD. I know from experience vets with PTSD, the type of symptoms they deal with are unimaginable.
And here's the deal. Like, I know personally that service dogs can help make a difference and they're
proven to actually reduce the severity of the PTSD symptoms, yet less than 1% of those in
need of a service dog or able to get one each year, which is crazy. And that's because they cost
like $20,000 each, which we've also bought them on our show for service members. Yeah.
Over the last few years, you know, again, I've worked alongside Purina Dog Chow and their mission
to help provide service dogs for veterans with PTSD through their service dog salute program.
And yesterday I was talking about since 2018. Now, I've been with them the whole time. Dog Chow has
donated over $850,000 to help more military veterans benefit from those specially trained service dogs.
And they've also worked with members of Congress to support federal legislation.
to provide service dogs for veterans with PTSD,
including the Paws for Veterans Therapy Act,
which was recently passed by the Senate.
To highlight the impact these dogs can have,
we've spent the last year,
and I want you guys to check out this documentary.
It's 18-minute, so it's not a three-hour documentary.
It's an 18-minute documentary.
I'm an executive producer on it,
and you can watch it.
We follow three veterans on their journey of before the dog,
talking about their PTSD, meeting the dog,
and then eight months after they get their dog.
It's great.
I'm proud to share it with you guys.
It's called Even Heroes Need Heroes.
So when you have a second, go over to dogchow.com slash bones and watch the documentary.
And if you're moved, you can share it or you can help.
But it's 18 minutes.
Again, it's not a three-hour docu-series.
No, I love that.
It's 18 minutes.
And dogchow.com slash bones, if you guys want to check that out.
All right, that's the news.
Those were Bobby's big.

It's now time for the wheel of sour.
We have the world's most sour candy here.
There's a video of a guy and he started choking because it was so sour.
So everybody's names on the wheel.
Bobby, Amy, Eddie, lunchbox, scuba Steve, Ramundo, and Mike D.
I mean...
And it lands on you, you eat the candy.
Oh, gosh.
You have to keep in your mouth for 20 seconds.
If you don't, that one gets thrown away.
You have to do another one until it adds 20 seconds.
Like sour patch kids are hard for me.
Yeah, exactly.
Those look a lot sour than that.
This is a practice spin, right?
Oh, practice.
Why a practice?
And whoever it lands on would have lost.
Okay.
But this is a practice.
Oh, my God.
Let's spin the wheel.
The loser would have been Raymundo.
So you know Raymundo's not going to lose this time.
That's why it's not good.
No, lunchbox, all the odds are still the same.
No, they're not.
Yeah, they are.
Okay, you think that.
We will spin the wheel.
Whomever it lands on has to eat the sour candy.
Bobby, like, is there anyone you're cheering for?
Just not me.
Okay.
I have to wear a cat tail next week for a couple days.
I don't want to also have to eat the sour candy.
We ready, guys?
Yeah.
Let's spin that wheel.
Oh my gosh.
Oh, my gosh.
Come on.
Sour gods.
Not me.
Not me.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
Yes.
What is me?
Sour gods, I hate you.
What?
Okay.
Lunchbox lost.
Of course!
For those that can't tell.
Oh!
That was a big hearty spin too.
Yes, it was.
Yeah.
Okay, so...
Let's send him to the stage.
To the stage.
To the stage!
To the stage!
Lunchbox is walking to the stage.
Lunchbox, you manifested that.
You always do.
You always do.
Okay, let me see your finger.
Here, I'm going to hand you this.
I only touch it barely with your two fingers.
Hey, Bones, do you want to give them to just in case?
No, we'll walk one out to him if he needs it.
All right, we're going to have the timer set up for 20 seconds.
Once you put it in your mouth, then close your mouth, it will start.
I don't know why I brought my water because I can't even drink.
Here we go.
It is the world's sourest candy.
Oh, can you hear me? You ready?
It is 250G of sour.
I don't know what that means.
Grams.
Gigabites.
Okay.
20 seconds on the clock.
When you put in your mouth.
Three, two, one.
Go. In your mouth, go.
One.
Two.
Three.
We're down to 15 seconds.
How sour is it?
Oh, he's slapping his legs.
He's making...
Ten seconds.
His head's gonna...
His head's about to explode.
He's like waving.
Five seconds.
He's shaking.
Three, two, one, time.
Oh, he spit everywhere.
Oh, he's spitting everywhere.
Dude, what happened?
My head are...
What was that?
So it's so sour, it's hot or something?
No, no, it's just like, it's almost like a brain freeze because it's so sour and you can't...
So it's cold?
No, I don't...
I just like...
I almost started crying.
That was so bad.
Oh.
Is anybody else curious?
No.
You want to try it?
Amy is.
You want to try it?
I could try it, but not for 20 seconds.
Oh, no, no.
If you're going to do it, Stap...
about the flavor 20? No, no, no, no. I just want to put my tongue on it.
Here, you want to put your tongue on it?
You want it? No, no, no. It's 20 seconds or nothing. Do it for five seconds.
I don't know. Come on, Amy.
Amy. Amy.
At five seconds. He's a bit dramatic. At five seconds, it looked like his brain was going to do.
No, no. It didn't get bad at five seconds. No, no. Put it in there and close your mouth.
Sit on your mic. Here we go. Let's see how long you can go, Amy.
Yeah, let's see how long you can go. That's good.
Oh, okay. Let me.
I'll get my coffee mug ready. It's empty. Ready? I can spit it and go.
Now then go. One, two, three, four, five.
But you're good. Okay, ten seconds, keep it 20, keep it 20 Amy, you'll spit it out. Don't spit it out.
13, she's kicking her feet. 15. Don't spit it out Amy, you got it.
17, 18, 19. Spin it out, she got it, she did it.
Yeah! Wow! Oh, she's spit it. Now she's
Bominning. See? Oh, she's vomiting. Oh, she's driving. Oh, my gosh, don't grow up. She's gonna throw up. Give her the trash can. Give her the trash can. Oh, my goodness. She's disgusting. She's dry. Whoa. She's not laughing. And who was the drama queen?
Oh, what were you doing? You were doing the same day. You did dry heat. Maybe it like, you don't even know what you're doing. Talk through it. What just happened?
It's disgusting. At first, you're like, oh, it's not bad. This is not.
And then it instantly switches to like, I'm going to need to eat something for sure to get rid of this because my eyes are watering.
It's like a acid type.
You know, like when you have acid reflex and like say you eat something and then it comes back up.
That's what it tastes like. It's so gross.
Like grow up? Yeah, kind of.
Yeah.
Hey, let's save these and we'll have artists come in and be like, hey nice.
We have candy for you.
Well, nice job you too.
Well, not you lunch because you lost.
But Amy, good job for trying it out.
See if you can name the movie based on the theme song.
Okay.
If you miss it, you are eliminated because they're pretty easy at first.
For example, if I were to play this, that is...
Rocky.
Wow, I'm the only one that got it.
Rocky, all the Rocky?
That's just a Rocky theme song.
At some point, that happens in every Rocky.
Oh.
Yeah.
You're going to fly now.
Is that what's called?
Mm-hmm.
Well, you ready?
Yeah, ready.
Here is number one, name that movie.
Amy and Lunchbox are both struggling.
Yeah, I'm contemplating between two things.
Is that right?
Oh, yeah, Amy, now that you say that?
Like, I don't know which one's which.
It's a coin toss right now in my head.
It's really not, though.
But it is.
It's not.
It's not.
I know the two you're thinking.
And one's far bigger than the other.
They are?
Yeah.
One's far bigger?
Oh, yeah.
Of course.
All right, there you go.
Here it is.
Okay.
What do you have, Amy?
Star Wars?
Correct.
Thank you.
Star Wars is way bigger than Star Trek.
Oh, I had Superman.
It does kind of sound like Superman.
Yeah, it's good, Amy.
It's good.
Okay.
Yeah.
That's funny.
Okay.
Star Trek never even came into my mind.
Lunchbox.
I put Star Wars because I wasn't sure which one was bigger.
Of Star Wars and Star Trek.
Oh.
Eddie?
Oh, Star Wars.
Come on.
Okay.
All right.
Hey, we all got there.
We should take different roads, but we all got there.
Okay, next up.
That's Jals.
Jaws.
Probably the biggest theme ever, Jaws.
You know, it's weird they haven't done a redo of Jaws.
Of all the massive movies that they continue to remake,
isn't that weird they haven't done a reboot of Jaws?
Maybe because it's so dumb.
Or it's just a shark.
And that's over.
Next up.
Lunchbox is riding his answer down.
Is that a horn in you?
Pink Panther?
I mean, that's...
Pink Panther?
Right?
Is it Pink Panther?
No.
Do you have your answer down?
I mean, I have an answer, but I have no idea.
What do you have, lunchbox?
I mean, it sounds like it's a Mission Impossible theme song,
but I don't know, I've never seen a movie,
so I put Mission Impossible, but I have no idea.
Amy?
James Bond?
Yeah, I was between two, either Austin Powers or 007, James Vaughn,
but I went 007.
It's James Bond, yeah.
Okay.
Lunchbox, I'm sorry, you've been eliminated.
Shocking.
Next one up.
Amy?
Ghostbusters?
Yeah, Ghostbusters.
Yeah, Ghostbusters.
Something's strange.
They're going to get a little.
Harder here.
Next one up.
Hard?
Yeah.
You have a guess?
That threw me.
Did you ready to write it in?
Yep.
What'd you write down?
Star Trek.
Marvel Avengers?
Oh.
One of you's right.
It's the Avengers.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Who.
Eddie won.
Thanks.
Yeah, you're right, Amy.
That second part of it, where those drums come in?
I'm like, I don't know.
I just threw me, but.
You want to, Eddie, we'll run the rest of this one as your victory.
Come on.
Here's the next one.
You know this Amy?
Guess if you know it.
You guys can guess.
You know it?
Oh, gosh.
I've heard it.
It is.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Legally blonde.
Jurassic Park.
Oh.
I feel like they play that.
Legally blonde.
Close.
Next one.
Halloween.
Correct.
Oh, I was going to say unsolved mysteries.
Next one.
The old man.
Oh, up?
Up.
Good one.
Next one.
Coco.
Zorro.
No.
Oh.
A movie, not a TV show, right?
I feel like there's like a...
In the land where...
Close, but not Spanish.
Is Penelopee cruz in it?
No.
The Godfather.
Oh, okay.
Next one.
Oh.
It.
The Shining.
Uh-uh.
The conjuring.
Harry Potter.
Oh.
Two left.
Oh.
Spider-Man.
Captain America
Pirates of the Caribbean
Here's the one that I didn't think anyone would get
Because you'll know the song
But you won't know the movie
But maybe you will
Oh Top Gun
No I got it
It's old school
Chariots of Fire
Yeah
Which is an old school movie
Wait but it's probably used
In other movies too
But the song is Chariates a fire
And the movie is chariots of fire
Have you ever seen that movie?
No me either
It is also the song in Top Gun
No
I don't think so
I think you're thinking of
Highway to the danger zone.
Yeah, maybe.
When's that top gun movie coming out?
All right, Thomas Wreck country again.
Eddie, congratulations.
Thank you, Bones.
Bobby Bones show.
Bobby Bones show.
Bonehead.
Dory up the day.
This story comes us from Tennessee.
Two middle schools had to go in lockdown when someone heard.
Pah, pa, pa, ba, ba, ba'a, ba'a, gunshots, and then a woman.
Ah!
Screaming.
Police were called, responded to the house.
Turns out, it was a husband that just found out.
He's having a baby boy celebrated by firing the gun in the air.
Oh, wow.
And the woman was screaming with excitement.
And it was next to a school?
Yeah, a couple blocks.
Gender reveal.
Who shoots up in the air anymore?
I know.
Not on my dad used to when I was a kid.
Older generations or foreign countries.
Yeah.
Those are the only people shooting in the air.
Maybe he is that.
He can't be older.
He just, well, you can father a baby.
Dwight Yocom just had a baby.
He probably shot up in the air, right?
He probably took guitars.
Cadillac, boom, boom.
I'm Lunchbox, that's your Bonehead Story of the Day.
What's your favorite season?
Fall.
Really?
Mm-hmm.
I love it.
More than summer?
Yeah, because you're coming out of the heat and you're saved by the crisp air and the cool mornings
and you can start to wear hoodies and flannels and sweaters and drink pumpkin spice things.
It sounds very romantic, but I just...
I know.
What's your favorite?
Summer.
It's not cold.
Fall is cool.
No, fall is cold.
But fall also leads into...
to cold.
Yeah.
And I just hate cold.
Okay.
But you're a fall first.
And fall.
Then.
Spring.
Okay.
Then summer, I guess.
And then winter.
But I like snow.
Not me.
I don't like cold for any reason whatsoever.
Give me summer, then spring, then fall, then winter.
Wow.
We're so different.
Yeah.
I like it hot.
Yeah.
We'll see you tomorrow.
Goodbye, friends.
Buddy, boys.
Hey, guys.
It's Darrell Worley.
I'll be on the Bobby Bones show tomorrow morning.
It's the 20th anniversary of
September 11. So I'm bringing my guitar and I'll play Have You Forgotten for you guys. Talk about some new music and much more.
