Starting point is 00:01:43 All right, big show today. Morning, today. Morning. We're going to try to give away a trip on our first segment, which is pretty cool. We don't ever do it, but we're going to play Never Going to get it. Someone may never get it, so we've got to start early. But we're going to give away a trip, hopefully, to our IHart Country Festival in Austin, Texas.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Everybody good, by the way? Yeah, we're good, man, great. Today, big show. We're going to give away this trip in like a minute, hopefully. Also, later on this morning, it's Blast day where lunchbox puts somebody on blast. Oh, yeah. There it is. The clock's been running. Clock's been running. Yeah. Okay. Let's go now and let's do this.
Starting point is 00:02:24 The Bobby Bones show. We've got a big prize. We could possibly give away right now. And we have Heather on the phone. Heather, good morning. Good morning. Morning studio. Morning. So there's what we're going to do. If she wins, she will win round trip airfare to Austin, Texas, hotel and Austin. Tickets to our. I heart country festival. All that.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Just by winning this game. Come on. Round trip, hotel, tickets to the show. It's going to be an awesome show. Lady A. Aldine, McBride, Brothers Osborne. I'm hosting it. Who cares about that?
Starting point is 00:02:56 Let's just play the game. This is Heather from North Dakota. Heather. Is North Dakota like warm now? Still cold? What? What's a deal? It can't decide what to do.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Today it's raining and snowing. But later this week, it'll be like, 60, so that's warm for us. I felt that. Now, are you nervous because this is quite the prize? Yeah, yeah, I'm very nervous. So we're going to play. Never going to get it.
Starting point is 00:03:21 No, you're not going to get it. Never, never going to get it. No, you're not going to get it. So I'm going to ask the question. It's a hard question. All four of you guys come up with the answer. She'll team up with one of you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Okay? The question is, until 1979, every single one of these was female. But now it's relatively even split. What are they? Until 1979, every single one of these was female. But now it's a relatively even split.
Starting point is 00:03:58 Every single one. Every single one? Yeah. Mom's. Huh. Set out of nine. I'll read it one. more time until
Starting point is 00:04:14 1979 every single one of these was female but now it's a relatively even split what are they let me know when you're in I'm in
Starting point is 00:04:23 Morgan is in first I'm in does not sound confident but Eddie is now in I am in for the one guys how we gotta be in
Starting point is 00:04:39 yeah the game's like we have to do it every single one of them was female you have five seconds okay Okay, so who feels over 50% positive? Me.
Starting point is 00:04:53 I do. Morgan and Lunchbox say they do. Yep. Amy, what percentage do you feel? I don't know. 50, 50. 50%. After all that, you're like, guys, you're still 50%.
Starting point is 00:05:06 I, well, when I'm under... If you lead her wrong, she loses a trip. So when I'm under pressure, I'm like, I came up with something. Okay, Eddie? I'm at 10%, but if I get it, dude, it's going to be a huge win. Okay, so Heather, you get to pick here, and I'll show you each of them. This is Amy. You can pick Amy.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Look how confident she looks right here on camera. There she is. Thank you. There's lunchbox right here. That's how confident he looks. Oh, yeah. Got it. Here's Eddie.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Oh, Walt Wong. Not confident. And here's Morgan. Here's her confidence level. There she is. Heather, what do you think here? Well, I, hey, Morgan was in really fast. I think I'm going to go Morgan.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Okay, Morgan, you hold your answer. Oh, yeah. I'm going to go around the room and hear. what you guys have to say that aren't Morgan. I feel like my answer is a little too sexist, though. This whole thing is kind of sexist. Yeah, it's all sexist because it's all female. Amy, your answer is?
Starting point is 00:05:58 A nurse. Okay. Lunchbox? There's no way, there had to be a male nurse in 1979. Maybe. Lunchbox? Power outlets. Okay, see.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Power outlets? I sort of thought that. But then what? Male female? Are there outlets where the wiener comes out? Right. Yes. Well, that's not an outlet.
Starting point is 00:06:13 That's what you plug in. Yeah. No, but. Hey, I just. Okay. Eddie? Huh. Hostal workers.
Starting point is 00:06:19 Okay. Until 1979, every single one of these was female, but now it's a relatively even split. What are they? Okay. You three are all wrong. Oh, okay. Good one. I knew that.
Starting point is 00:06:27 That's what I thought. Morgan, do you have any of their answers? I did. What is it? You had a nurse. I had nurse. Okay. Because they are in the documentaries.
Starting point is 00:06:36 It's all nurses and they're all female. Yep. She said 100%. I know. So, hey, Scooby, Steve. Now, does she get a chance to answer it? Yes. And if she's wrong, we go to the next person.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Oh, my God. Come on, Heather. Come on, Heather. Heather, until 1979, every single one of these was female. Oh my God, I just got it. But now it's a relatively even split. What are they? I'm flight attendants.
Starting point is 00:06:59 That's it. That's what it is. I just wrote it down. That's it. It's not flight attendant. Oh, my God. That was a great guess. Heather, just because you guessed it.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Heather, I'm sorry you did not win. The answer was hurricanes. They didn't get male names until Hurricane Bob in 1979. The National Weather Service thought only female names were appropriate. because the storms were so crazy and unpredictable. Oh my God. What is wrong with people? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:07:23 That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. No, it doesn't. I mean, that adds up. It was always got a sexist though. But yes. Totally. Okay, so meteorologist men. She's so sad.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Heather, I'm very sorry. You did not win. I appreciate you coming on with us. What I fires me up? Well, get fired up, baby. That is so wrong. Yeah, then you're going to turn into a hurricane. I have like backwards.
Starting point is 00:07:44 I thought there was like all men before 79 and then some women. That's the dyslexic part of me. Well, that's how we started it today. Thank you. Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Hello, Bobby Bones. I need advice for some tension. It's going on between my wife and I. My wife and I have been married for six years with two sons who are five and three. I'm an avid Christian man, lover of Easter, and the holiday spirit. I decided this would be the year I'd go all out. For the weeks leading up to Easter Sunday, my wife would sometimes ask me about what we were planning to do. I kept telling her, don't worry, got something planned. I wanted my big Easter plans to surprise her to, and you know what?
Starting point is 00:08:30 She deserved a break. Skip to the morning of Easter Sunday. I was awake much earlier than the rest of the family. I set out my decorations. I cook. I baked a cake. The whole shebang. My wife came in a living room to see all of the pastel decorations and balloons.
Starting point is 00:08:44 I stopped her when she went to eat the kids' breakfast. breakfast and told her that's all for you. Apparently that was the wrong answer. So my wife's birthday fell on the same day as Easter Sunday this year and I got too caught up and trying to do something nice for the kids in Easter to pay attention to the birthday date. It's been over a week now. Still tense. I'm afraid that this mistake is causing a rift in our marriage. I really need to get an outside opinion, but I'm not comfortable talking to anyone I know about this.
Starting point is 00:09:09 What advice do you have signed? The Easter idiot. I'm going to, I have learned. This is something I have learned recently. I've known and I kind of thought it was true but I have learned it's better to just go ahead and swallow your poop than a nibble on it
Starting point is 00:09:26 if you mess up and this is a mess up you just go I'm very sorry that's all on me I'm gonna make this up to you you did nothing wrong because it really was stupid
Starting point is 00:09:40 to him but now good intentions all the way around no bad intentions but that's a dumb dumb move you can't do that you have to really go and lay it out there. You know and she knows,
Starting point is 00:09:52 and she knows that you know, and swallow it, don't nibble it. Because if you nibble it, you're going to be chewing on poop forever and it sucks. It doesn't taste good. It's going to be,
Starting point is 00:09:59 get it over with. That's what you do. You go and you apologize, just go, this is it. I really messed up. I understand why you're mad. My feelings would be,
Starting point is 00:10:08 not even mad, why you're sad at disappointed. My feelings will be hurt too. And you try to move from it by improving this situation as best she can. Because you know what? She screws up to. Maybe not that bad, but she screws up to and she will probably understand as long as you are honest, authentic about what really happened. Yeah, I mean, I feel like an Easter did come a lot earlier this year.
Starting point is 00:10:31 And if you were that focused on that, you probably are used to Easter being at least a week or two after her birthday. And then bam, there it is at the end of March. And so you probably, if you were caught up in Easter, I could see how it could happen. And hopefully she'll appreciate what you did for Easter and she'll hear you owning it and then you'll make it up to her and it'll be uncomfortable get it'll be good yeah can you make her breakfast like for the rest of the month kind of thing oh that's overdoing there's no over underdoing you just that's not the point the point is what what can you can or can't do it's a you have to go hey i screwed up yeah i'm sorry i really messed up like you said don't chew it don't just swallow you're gonna be nibbling it forever
Starting point is 00:11:09 don't just get over with yeah i see how it happened though and hopefully she'll see it too There you go. Thank you. What do we learn here? Eat the poop. Look at the calendar. Don't nibble it. Thank you. Yes. All right, that's the mailbag. We've got your email and we read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. I want to go over and talk to B in Pittsburgh. Hey, B, hello. How are you? I was just calling to welcome the Cleveland listeners and tell them at first. I thought when I switched over that you guys talked a lot, but now I enjoy it and play along with the games. I randomly yell up. It's the Bobby Bown show, everybody.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Thank you. So if there are new listeners that are going, what the heck is happening, you say that you've also felt that what the heck is happening. How long did it take you before you actually started to like the show and understand what we're about? About two weeks. Boy, that's a long time to get someone to just sit and grind through it, though.
Starting point is 00:12:06 That is, and we talked a lot and then not anymore. We don't talk a lot anymore? No, she got used to it. Did she get used to it or she start liking it? There's a difference, you know? No, I listen to a sports show because I drive for my job. So I had the sports show on and then they switched people up and I didn't care for it. So I switched over to you guys and gave you a try and now I listen every day.
Starting point is 00:12:27 So of the two switches, you liked us slightly more than the other and then now we're buds. Is that what you're saying? Yes. Okay. Now you're the top. And so you would recommend to new listeners in Cleveland, they just get, Cleveland or the new cities we're going in. Did they just give us a shot? Give me a chance.
Starting point is 00:12:46 I like that. I appreciate that, B. Your quality for calling and saying that, because I know you don't have a lot of time in your day, so thanks for picking up the phone to letting us know. All right. Keep up the good work. All right. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Bye-bye. Now, we're not on there yet. Oh. They made a change last minute, not to not put us on, but to do what I suggested, a slow roll. So it's not just us talking all the time. But if we can save that call, Ray, like clip it, and then we'll play it again once we go on there. And then we'll put like big voice around it. And it'll be like, the Bobby Bowl show.
Starting point is 00:13:18 And it'd be like, I just love the show. And buy it. You know? Yeah, like real caller. This is not a paid actor. We should say that. This is not a paid actor. And mostly, not because we're too good to do that.
Starting point is 00:13:29 I'd like everybody to know, we're not too good to do that. We've never paid an actor to be on this show like other shows do. We are not above it. We just don't have the money to do it. And at this point, we're just not going to do it even if we had the money. But I have to fund our prizes most of the time. So we're not going to pay actors to call and be like, we like the show, you know? So there you go.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Well, and let's the recommended, if people are giving it a chance, like how many days? Two years. Two years. If you listen, two years straight. Hang in there. Yeah, you'll start to like the show in case you're new. Okay, thank you. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:14:06 With producer Eddie. Yeah, home is something good. Lynn from Fort Worth, Texas. She's just retiring, man. She worked her whole life. And now she's like, I'm done. working, but she's got to do something. So what did she do? She met this woman named April. April was diagnosed with cancer, but she didn't have a car. So Lynn was like, you know what, I have a car.
Starting point is 00:14:27 April, I will take you to your chemotherapy. I will take you to your radiation. She took her to hundreds of appointments. And while she was doing that, she met other people. She met a guy named Kevin who was legally blind. He couldn't drive to work. So after he, after she would drop off April, she would go pick up Kevin, take Kevin to work and do that. And now she is a guardian angel to a lot of people that need rides. That's good. He's an angel on earth. Yeah. That's a lot. Yeah, it's cool. Man, I'd like to do that.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Oh, my God. I'd like to retire first. Here we go. But you're not going to be able to because you've saved no money. I don't have a 401K. I would say not just rides to appointments, but I remember sitting in the waiting room with my parents with their cancer stuff and there's, you know, you got the chemo and you have to wait for the IV and the radiation and all the things. But some people are just sitting there alone. Yeah. So even if you have a ride, but just have a ride, but just have a
Starting point is 00:15:17 Having someone there with you. Well, she may have dropped them off, I don't know. Oh, well. She did say she would sometimes multitasked, but I mean, you know, it's okay. Yeah, but we understand your point too. And also your point of one day you want to do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:31 That's all right. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. This is Julian Edelman, host of Games with Names. On our latest episode, we got comedian Blake Anderson from workaholics and the hilarious. this is important podcast. Let's go. We did beat them in improv.
Starting point is 00:15:49 You had an improv against the team? Yes, we would pull up their schools would be there with signs for us. It's competition. What you would win is a bottle of goldschlager. James Fester threw it out of a van because he didn't want us drinking it. For more games with names, visit the IHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcast. Readers, Katie's finalists, publicists. We have an incredible new episode this week for you guys.
Starting point is 00:16:12 We have our girl Hillary Duff in here, and we can't wait. for you to hear this episode. They put on Lizzie McGuire at 2 a.m. Video on demand. This guy's... 2 a.m. Whatever time it is. Lizzie McGuire.
Starting point is 00:16:22 And I'm like... A wild bat you were with. It was like a first like closet moment for me where I was like... You're like, I don't feel like she's hot. Like the rest of that. No, no, no. I was like, she's beautiful. But I'm appreciating her in a different way than these boys are.

Starting point is 00:17:06 with fans, family, and former frenemies like Tom Schwartz. I had a little bone to pick with Schwarzy when he came on the pod. You don't feel bad that you told me I was a bootleg housewife? I almost flipped a pizza in your lap.
Starting point is 00:17:16 Oh my God, I literally forgot about that. just now, sorry, I don't want to blame alcohol. I got to blame that one on the alcohol. This is about laughing and learning when life just keeps on life in. Because I make mistakes so that you guys don't have to. We're growing, we're thriving, and yes, sometimes we're barely surviving, but we do it all with love. It's unruly, it's unruly, it's un-traditionally la-la.

Starting point is 00:19:17 TIL. TIL. Today. Today. Today I, today I learned. Today I learned. Wow. Possum.
Starting point is 00:19:38 No, I gave him a bonus a couple of seconds two at the end, but he was on it, so I wasn't going to pull him off. I don't think he was possum because he did it earlier. That today was clutch. I knew today because he said, you learned something new. I don't know what you said, but. I said, my mommy don't like everybody, and she thinks people are nice. Whatever, same difference. Lunchbox, what viral, In My Feelings Internet Challenge

Starting point is 00:20:27 He went three. He goes my second answers, yeah. Oh, he plays poss them a lot, but I don't think the second was possum if I'm being honest. He found that the old-fashioned way. The Bieber wasn't, I didn't play POSM. I was making a fever fever. TIL.

Lauren, what 90's snack was most effective for applying to your fingers and creating which fingernails? The fruit roll-ups. That's incorrect.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Put them on your finger. Yeah, put them on your fingers. I know what you're talking about. What do you think it was? It's Fritos. Bugles. Bugles, yes. But you would do that, too, with, like, the fruit roll-ups.
Starting point is 00:22:08 You'd put them around your finger. But they're... But I get with... Now I see it. Flag on the play, Lawrence Meldie. Oh, no. I know you're talking. They got like conies.
Starting point is 00:22:16 They're like cones. They're bugles. They're literally bugles. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know the... I wouldn't have known the name. Yeah, yeah. Well, lunchbox you won.
Starting point is 00:22:24 In humiliating fashion, almost. Yeah, that is. Yeah. Congratulations, lunchbox. One more. Yeah. You're the champ. That's it for now.
Starting point is 00:22:30 My mama don't like you, but she likes everybody. Close. Not quite it. Not it. Not it. And the melody's terrible. You're really messing that up. Kyle says a good one.
Starting point is 00:22:42 My wife really wants a fire pit. Yeah. Get her one. Oh. But she says I'll also like it, but I don't like being outside that much. No, it's going to be so great to have one out there because... It's a vibe. Like a s'mores and just hanging out and conversation.
Starting point is 00:22:56 I see Bobby doing s'm going to. You know? I think she just likes to. She loves to be outside. Did you get one? Yeah. And that's why. And my, well, my kids were excited about it.
Starting point is 00:23:04 But I think that we were going to use it for so many reasons. at least that's how I envision it. I already got it. We just have to get it all set up and I got to get some chairs to put around it. Yeah. Yeah. You got to get one, dude.
Starting point is 00:23:18 But then we got to put a gas line? No. Depends which one you get. The one I got, I'm just adding, you just put a fire in it. Post a picture on our social. You've got to bake the fire. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Okay. Put it at Bobby Bone Show. It looks like you got a Hampton Bay Sadler firepips. It's manageable for me. Yeah. You know? because I think they can get more complex. Amy went to Home Depot and you can go to Home Depot like Amy.
Starting point is 00:23:43 If you're busy, you can't make it in store. Get your spring delivered. The Home Depot has free delivery on over 2 million items and fast, same day delivery on things you need now. Giving you more time to spring your way only at Home Depot. Fun fact, Thomas Wretcherched walked in our studio and realized you walked in the wrong room. How are we doing this show. He goes, and my sister should be in here and we're like, nope.
Starting point is 00:24:00 And he walked out right back out. That's what happens around here. You never know who's going to actually walk in a room. Let's talk about stage names. next, meaning Lady Gaga how she got hers, not just hers, how lunchbox got his, how I got mine, kind of. But all these
Starting point is 00:24:16 fake names people use, which ones are fake and how we got them. I mean, how Amy got hers. That's always been controversial. Oh, yeah, that's a big one. All right, coming back with that next. The questions we get asked the most in the mailbag, what's story behind
Starting point is 00:24:30 Bobby Bones and Lunchbox? And either their weird names or their stupid names. So not only that, this whole story about stage names and why they are what they are. Now, there's a lot of controversy with how lunchbox got his name, but I will tell you that now I just punt to lunchbox and let him tell his version. But lunchbox, why are you called lunchbox? In the third grade, I want a Superman lunchbox from Walmart for school, and my mom told me
Starting point is 00:24:54 no. And so I thought, oh, I'll just stick it under my shirt and take it. And so I walked around the whole store, and my mom let me do it. And right as we're about to walk out the door, she goes, oh, is there something under your shirt? And I said, no. She goes, are you sure? and she goes knock, knock, knock.
Starting point is 00:25:09 And I was like, Mom, I have no idea how that got there. And so she made me go return it to the manager. And then ever since then they made fun of me. And now that I'm older, I realize how little I was is a third grader. And so how obvious it was. Like, it was probably sticking out of the shirt. Like, can I commend you? I'd like to commend you for something.
Starting point is 00:25:28 I thought he was going to say he was like four or five. He's become such a better storyteller. There are parts of that story that I think he just made up an improv right there. And I commend you. And I'm not going to contradict anything you said, but I like it. Thank you. Yeah. Like, knock, knock, knock.
Starting point is 00:25:42 That's never happened. Yeah, so she knocked on the lunchbox? Yeah. She goes, oh, what's that? That's awesome. And he goes, I have no idea how we not in there. Mine is, I was 17, and I went to work. I begged for a job at radio station, and they hired me to clean, and they never hired me to be on the air.
Starting point is 00:26:01 And they hired me to clean and switch out there. Rick D's weekly top 40 on Sundays. and so before my very first shift, they fired somebody on the weekends and said, you're up. And I was like, okay. And I was excited, but they said, you cannot use your real name.
Starting point is 00:26:19 They said, your name would either be Bobby Z or Bobby Bones. And I thought they were both stupid. And so I went Bobby Bones. It sounded more like a pirate or a human or something. Er. Yeah. So that was it. I tried to change it a couple times,
Starting point is 00:26:30 but I was always connected to the last place. What did you try to change it to? My real name. It just always felt weird to, be, or at least really strive to be authentic on air
Starting point is 00:26:41 but have like a stupid fake name. It is who I am now. I know, but in some people they think they're like, oh wow, was your last name really bones?
Starting point is 00:26:48 And then knock, knock them on bones? What? How did that get there? What are they doing there? Post Malone, his stage name. Anybody have,
Starting point is 00:26:56 anybody know? Yeah, yeah, yeah, Austin. Austin. So, yeah, well, yeah,
Starting point is 00:27:00 that's, his name's Austin. Office. But why post Malone? Oh, he lives right next to the, you know, post office.
Starting point is 00:27:06 He delivered the mail. When Austin Post was 14 years old, he needed a name for his mixtape. So he plugged his name into one of those random rap generators, his name generators, and Post Malone came out. So he's like, that's my name, Post Malone. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:27:20 MC Hammer was born Stanley Kirk Burrell, got his nickname from his childhood job with the Oakland A's. The A's owner at the time, Chuck Finley loved him because he was a great bat boy. He danced in the parking lot, and he earned the nickname Hammer because he looked like Hank Aaron.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Oh, Hammer and Hank. Hammer and Hank. Wow. M.C. Hammer. Lady Gaga was born Stephanie Germinada. Lady Gaga adopted her stage name from a song by Queen. Don't say anything, Eddie. What's the name of the song, guys?
Starting point is 00:27:49 Bohemian Rhapsody. No, no. She'd be Bohemian Gaga then. Lady Gaga. Lady of the night? Lady Marmalade. Interesting. Do you know what?
Starting point is 00:28:00 Is it Lady Godiva? No, it's like Lady Gaga. Oh. Radio Gaga. Oh. Oh. I bet if you heard it, you would know it. So she chose to pay homage to the band.
Starting point is 00:28:10 So Radio Gagas is her name. Elton John. Reginald Dwight. What? Reginald Dwight. Did you hear? Reginald Dwight! His name's not Elton?
Starting point is 00:28:20 Mm-mm. So he combined the names of two of his bandmates from bluesology. A saxophonist, Elton Dean, and a singer, Long John Baldry. That's far-fetched. Elton, John. Oh. Snoop Dog. Calvin Brodus.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Yeah, yeah. Snoopy. Yeah, Snoopy. He looked like the cartoon when he's a kid. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Whoopi Goldberg?
Starting point is 00:28:46 Whoopi cushion. She had a tendency to fart. What? No way. Is that real? That's like a lunchbox story. The actor who was born Karen Johnson said that a tendency to break wind led to a number of friends to call her whoopee. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:29:01 Bree Larson from Avengers. Captain Marvel. She loved Mary Cheese. She was born Brian D. Salineers. I may mess that up. So Bree is obviously for Brianne. But the last name. Larsonie.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Well, first of all, it's just hard to say her name. Oh, it's like a complicated? What is it? I just said D. Solner. No one would ever get it right. And so her American girl doll was named Kristen Larson. So she went with the name of her American girl. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Vin Diesel? It's not Diesel. Mark Sinclair Vincent. Adopted the stage named Vin Diesel. Because his friends called him Venn for Vincent. And then Diesel was tough and strong. So Vincent, Mark Sinclair, Vincent, Venn, and he was like, I want to be tough.
Starting point is 00:29:45 I'll be Venn Diesel. Bruno Mars, Mars sounded bold and energetic, and the wrestler Bruno San Martino for back in the day. So what's his name? Peter Gene Hernandez. Oh, yeah, that hits different. Or maybe Peter MGM if he doesn't pay up. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:30:02 They just own his middle name. I'll do one more. L.L. Cool J. What does that stand for? Ladies love. Yep. Cool James. Correct. So. Did you not know Cool James?
Starting point is 00:30:13 No, I didn't. He stopped. I was like. So James Todd Smith. And so that was his name. And they started calling themselves LL. Cool J and Playboy Mikey D in hopes that it would help girls
Starting point is 00:30:27 think, oh, they're cool, they're in a band. And he said it was just wishful thinking. It was like calling myself Mr. Awesome. It worked. So L.L. Cool J was his name. So those are. the stories behind Lunchbox, Knock Knock Knock. Myself.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Radio Gougu. Radio Gaga. You guys don't know that song? No. I never heard in my love. What about Amy? What's her story? That's her name. I was born this way.
Starting point is 00:30:48 Oh, cool. Maybe she's born with it. Maybe it's Amy Brown. This woman won $20,000 in the lottery, and she's super pumped about it, as I would be. I mean, heck, lunchbox plays all the time. The most you've ever won is. $250 on a scratch-off, break the bank.
Starting point is 00:31:04 It was silver. and yeah. And he's played forever. Scuba has one more than that on a scratch-off. He hasn't played near as long as you. Yeah, no, I don't like that. So she went 20, she's pumped, and she goes in to claim it,
Starting point is 00:31:15 and they're like, no, you read this wrong. It's 20 million. Wow! Nice. It's so cool. See, heart attack. Hard attack. That's when you have to be honest. When you're the worker, you have to be thinking,
Starting point is 00:31:27 okay, how can I pull this off? 20 million. Wait, what are you talking about? The worker, like, lies and keeps the rest? Yeah, gets it to the rest. The worker doesn't. give her the money though like at the gas station she thinks he cashes in the register right you check for that 20 000 and then i'll take that 20 million oh my gosh oh that's wild here's amy's pile of stories so half of people that work out go to the gym or whatever they admit to not
Starting point is 00:31:53 washing things like sports bras or compression shorts after one workout like they'll wear it two times in a row well i would think that if you don't have time to wash it and you have to make a decision of am I going to work out twice in it or am I going to not work out because it's not washed? You work out twice. I guess it depends on how much you're actually sweating. Or if you only have one pair. Well, that part, true.
Starting point is 00:32:18 That's what I'm saying. It's not like everybody has seven pair of compression shorts. But it's gross. But I'm saying you have to make a decision. That's like underwear. If you're working out and you sweat in the underwear, like you can't wear that again. What about a soccer jersey?
Starting point is 00:32:29 But it's your sweat. Yeah. It may, I hear you, I'm just saying if you have to make the decision to do it two days in a row or not do it because it's not clean, You do it two days ago in the, two days in a row in the dirty. I just feel like I don't want to risk the rash or whatever or something.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Wear underwear under. Well, yeah, I mean, sports bra, stuff like that. I don't have one of those. I can't really read it. I don't either. No, yeah. But have you, do you ever do that? Do you double workout in your workout clothes?
Starting point is 00:32:54 No. Shorts ever? No, because we work out at the house and I got plenty of shorts. Just from doing too much access. Every school in the country. That's true. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:03 So if you want your relationship to last, never say these things. to your partner. I got like 20 things not to say. But I like to hear what you have to say. You ready? Okay. If you love me, you would... Being funny, though, that's okay. I would do that.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Like, I'm thirsty. If you love me, you would go give me some juice. You never say that in a serious conversation. No, but I would say that in a funny conversation. You're just like your mother or father. Her mom's awesome, though. Okay, but... Like, I told her she's just like her mom the other day
Starting point is 00:33:28 because she was like, being cutting funny. Her mom would... And I was like, man, you were just like your mom. Like, you go hard. So here's the thing about that. I feel like we can say stuff about our family, but then when somebody else, like your significant other says something about your family in a way,
Starting point is 00:33:47 you're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, you start defending them. And they're like, wait a second, I'm just saying what you said. It's like, we're allowed to say it, but you're not. It's a weird thing, but she's so right. Yeah. I guess.
Starting point is 00:33:56 You can't relate? I don't know. No. I watched Kaylon's dad bench press 205 three times. He's 63 when he was at the house. And I was like, I want to be just like your dad. The opposite. Yeah, but you don't, yeah, there's not anything, gosh, that happened in my marriage where I would get compared to my mom and in ways where I was annoyed by my mom too, but then I would be like, I understand that why you would be upset, but no, I don't relate yet. Dot, dot, dot, yet. Yeah, yeah, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Okay, you always or you never? All the time. Okay, but you got to stop that. Because it's not true. She doesn't always do. Right. No, but she does. But again, I don't think anybody actually thinks when you're saying you always,
Starting point is 00:34:32 means you always do it. It means you do it a lot of the time so much so that, because I always do a lot of stupid things, but every once in a while I won't. But when she says I always do stuff, I'm like, eh. I know, but with just the definitive words, we've got to like. I hear you, but I don't take that as I really always do it. I take it as I do it enough that it's annoying.
Starting point is 00:34:48 Okay. And it's not really that strong to say, like, You sometimes don't get dishes. 63% of the time, you don't take the trash out. These are things that, like, if you don't want things to escalate, then don't say this stuff. Like, why can't you be more like in the... Never, would never. Unless it's, I say this.
Starting point is 00:35:05 Why can't you be more like me? Jesus. Oh. Oh. Wait, what? Why can't you be more like me? Why? And enjoy things I enjoy. Like video games. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:35:14 It's your fault. I'm fine. Yeah, it's your fault. You're overreacting. Go all time. never good. Why is that not good? But what if they are? They are. They're making a...
Starting point is 00:35:25 What if I am? A lot of nothing. Do you admit? Do you say, do you say, I can realize right now I'm overreacting? She can say you're overreacting and I can go like, so what? Well, no. I'd be like, at least I'm acting. Most times I just shut down.
Starting point is 00:35:40 Well, the final thing here is whatever. Yeah. Oh, whatever's the worst. No, I don't think so. Well, you know what? Whatever. My words is when I walk off because I'm like, I can't do this. That's like whatever. Oh, if it's got a walk-off included, then yes.
Starting point is 00:35:54 Yes. Okay, what else? All right, I have the top richest country stars ever. Oh, yeah. Dolly Parton. She's the number one with $650 million. Toby Keith. Garth Brooks.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Toby Keith's at $4, $370 million. Garth Brooks is a tie at two with Shania Twain, $400 million. So is it, George. The two would be two and three, though, if it's a tie, right? Yeah. So we're just missing one. George. George straight?
Starting point is 00:36:17 The king. That's right. He said number five with three. That's the easiest huge list ever. We know those people. Yeah, y'all nailed it. I mean, that's my pile.
Starting point is 00:36:25 That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. There's this guy. He's at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and there's a recreation area, and he's kind of walking around, looking, taking in the sights
Starting point is 00:36:43 when he gets a little too close to the edge. And he falls down the cliffside. 60 feet. And he's like, I can't go any farther. And he just starts holding on. Holding on for dear life. And people call 911. Hey, man, someone fell over the cliff.
Starting point is 00:36:59 He's hanging on. He's holding on to something. A bush, a branch. I don't know. You need to get here fast. And the police say, we'll send the helicopter. They lower a rope. Guy comes down, straps them in, and pulls him to safety.
Starting point is 00:37:17 The fact that he was able to hold on that long, how do you do that? Well, I'm hoping he had something he could put his feet in. into and it wasn't all fingers and arm power. Like just lay there maybe? Yeah. Yeah. Like, that sucks because you don't know if anyone's going to see you or come and get you. But if you're just hanging from your arms, eventually, you're just going to lose any strength you have in your hands, fingers, forearms. Right. Unless you have something can also put your feet into as well.
Starting point is 00:37:42 So you're hoping that was the case. I stumbled upon a YouTube video where there's like a competition in another country where they hang from bridges and it's three dudes. And the last one to like fall wins the prize. It's like hands on a Harley. You're hanging up for your life. Except hanging on a bridge for life. What do you get? It was money.
Starting point is 00:38:00 It was like, I don't know, $50,000 or something. Hanging on, it sounds as hard. Yeah, I mean, they hung on for about a minute. But after that minute mark, they're like, oh, they start dropping. Well, there's that thing they do downtown here in other cities where there's a bar you hold on to. And they're like, if you can hold on for a minute, you win the money, 100 bucks. Ray wanted to start one of those downtown. But what happens is they're also turning it at the same time.
Starting point is 00:38:20 Or they grease it a little bit. Mm. But you... Do they grease it? Because I've grabbed it before. I didn't feel slick. If grease like came out of tiny pores, that would be cool. Ray, what happened in Vegas?
Starting point is 00:38:31 You guys tried one. I didn't do the Vegas. I did the natural one. Yeah, it's moving and it's also very well greased. What if you shut up with gloves on? Will they let you do that? I haven't seen the fine print of the rules on that thing. But people...
Starting point is 00:38:44 It's always like big dudes. They're like, I can hold on for more than a minute. And they're the first ones to go. Great story. Glad they saved him. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Readers, Katie's finalists, publicists.
