Starting point is 00:02:08 Morning studio. Morning. Glad you're here. Let's go. Up first. Let's see what our video producer, data for. Here he is. Producer Eddie, everybody. Let's go. Give me. I have a scenario to run by you, but for the sake of the story, I'm going to say it happened to me. But it didn't happen to me. Did it happen to you? No, it did not happen to me. Do you promise? I promise it didn't happen to me. But say I'm driving and I back up into a parked car and I hit it, and then I see the owner and say, hey, I don't want to claim this on my insurance.
Starting point is 00:02:35 So just go take it and get an estimate. Let me know how much I owe you and I'll pay you. So they did that. They went. They take their car, got an estimate, and then I paid them right there. This is how much it is. I gave you the money. Now, smash cut three weeks later, four weeks later, I see the car again and the owner, and nothing's been done. What's a problem? At what point are they going to get it fixed, or do they even have to get it? I don't have to get a face. I mean, but it didn't happen to you, so why would you care? You gave them the month. Did it happen to you? No, it didn't happen to me, promise. You gave them the money. That is your, that is what you had to do to make good.
Starting point is 00:03:12 I gave them the money to fix the car. No, no, no, you gave them the money because the damage that you did was going to cost that much. It's like lunchboxes roof, right? They can give them the money to fix the roof. It can keep the money and not fix the roof, but they don't give me any money yet. Right, but I'm saying people do that with hail damage sometimes. Yeah. It'll hail and insurance come out and the gesture will go, okay, well, da-da-da-da, here's $4,000.
Starting point is 00:03:32 They just keep the money. Really? Yeah. So I think where I messed up is I should have said get it, Fixed. No. I'm speaking as the person I know. Yeah, but even you.
Starting point is 00:03:43 No, it's not me, I promise. Okay, so it has to be. No, it's not me. Okay. Okay. So, no, once you and that person, shake hands, deal done, completed, here's the money. It's over. It ain't your business anymore.
Starting point is 00:03:58 And they never have to fix the car. You just pay them because what's going to happen is they're going to lose out on that money whenever they're trading it back in. All right. So they have that money in a different way. I like it. Karma will get them. No, no, no, no. It's not a car. They lost that value on their car.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Yeah. So they went and got that money now instead of later, because they're not going to get it later once they trade it in. You feel like they scammed you. It wouldn't have my friend. There's no scam. That's not a scam. Wow, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Okay. All right. That's why I brought it to the board. I want to see what you guys thought. Is it you? No, it's not me. I promise. Stop saying it's not me.
Starting point is 00:04:29 I promise that way. Okay. So it has to be... I don't, I don't know. Guess who it is. Don't worry about it. We won't worry about it. His kid must have run into someone with his bike.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Is it you? Not me, I promise. All right, having a next day. It's lunchbox, everybody. I obviously got in the wrong profession because I came across a video this guy named McBeast on YouTube. I've never heard of this guy.
Starting point is 00:04:52 It's not Mick Beast. I think it's just Mr. Beast. Whatever he is. You think it's a nugget? Yes, that's what I thought. But whatever. And the video I saw was him on Halloween. He was handing out a stack
Starting point is 00:05:05 He gave a kid $10,000 in cash instead of candy. And the kid tried to give it back. He's like, no, you keep it. And I'm like, who is this guy that can just give out $10,000 cash? And he was giving away PlayStation's and all this. So then I start looking up his stuff. He had one where he sold this dude. If he stays in this circle for 100 days, he'd give him $500,000.
Starting point is 00:05:25 How does he have $500,000 to give to these random people? Because he makes so much money off YouTube. He might be YouTube's biggest earner ever. But one of them. So I should have. got into YouTube. You should have, could have would have done all kinds of stuff, but you didn't. You'd have to have to have a successful account. And you would have to
Starting point is 00:05:40 do something compelling enough to get people to watch and then make money. But how did this guy get to where he can do this? But that's like asking any artist. I'm like Sam Hunt. Like here's another one. He has a big circle. I should have been a musician. He sang a song about a back room. That was easy to ride.
Starting point is 00:05:58 I mean, he put 100 people in a circle and said, last one to leave gets $500,000. What in the world. But isn't that interesting? It's like a TV show. It's like a big TV show. YouTube is just another way to take in any sort of content
Starting point is 00:06:13 and he gets paid a ton. I am just in shock. I'm like, I got in the wrong business. I saw somebody bought a house or something or did something like 60 million bucks pretty recently. I have never heard of the guy and I'm like, I should have been doing YouTube this whole time. I don't think you. Who knows? Who knows? You're not a big idea guy.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I'm a pretty big idea guy. have ideas, but then you don't go forward with them. Gosh. Look at the... I mean, that's crazy to me. Yeah, Mr. Bees is loaded, and he does... No, no, no, Muckbeast. Oh, sorry, McBeast is loaded. I'm taking McBeast, no cheese.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Barbecue sauce. All right, up next to out, Amy. Amy, yeah, she's here, Amy. So my daughter recently asked for red hair, and we put extensions in her hair often. She has braids, but it's normally just the color of her hair, like a blackish-brownish color. Now we have red hair
Starting point is 00:07:05 And it's a big deal It's like a It fades into red That's cool And she was real excited about it I wasn't totally on board But then I thought Okay, I've got a teenager now
Starting point is 00:07:17 And I'd rather compromise On these sort of things In hopes that she feels like she has some control And then she doesn't go out in the bell Well that's not that big a deal I mean red hair A little red hair That's a good one
Starting point is 00:07:27 Style Yeah I feel like piercings Red hair Stuff like that She feels like oh wow Look at me I can be creating with myself and then she doesn't feel the need to be like,
Starting point is 00:07:36 my mom will get me red hair, so now I'm going to go be bad. Or is it a gateway to badness? Oh, that could be it. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas, he plays pickleball, and him and Caitlin like to go to the mall. True. Bobby Bones. We do like to go to the mall, and I thought the mall was dead, but we do like to go to the mall.
Starting point is 00:07:52 It's fun again. You go with your friends on, like, Saturday mornings and stuff? No, just Caitlin enough. My best friend. Meet out in front of the cinema. They have a new shoe store at the mall, too. Yeah, yeah, journeys. Possible kicks, you know?
Starting point is 00:08:02 It's like I got all the joys. I've heard about it. heard about this. Like it's like a fool of like the cool, the cool shoes. It's like the, and they have cool, I'm a big shoe guy. You never heard the story before. I didn't have a lot of shoes going up. And when I did, I didn't have to get up from yard sales.
Starting point is 00:08:15 And I would go and I'd wear them to school. And a couple times, one time really bad. I got a pair of Jordans from a yard sale. And the kid who put him at a yard sale saw me wearing them and made fun of me in front of everybody. Like those are my shoes. You can't afford real shoes. So that's why I have this fascination with shoes, right? It's all of the stuff that we do now is based on some, most of the stuff we do now is based on some sort of fundamental, positive or negative or trauma or little tea, big tea, all that.
Starting point is 00:08:43 So that's where the shoe fetish, we'll call it that, comes from. I have tons of shoes. That's what I've been buying. But they have a, it's the first shoe store at the mall I've done like, this is legit. But yeah, it's called Impossible Kicks. My kids just go just to look at shoes. They do. They love it.
Starting point is 00:08:56 The whole shoe culture has gotten pretty bizarre because they're really expensive. And I have some shoes that are pretty expensive. but there's one pair in there. It was like $3,800 for a pair of Jordans. Oh my gosh. Nuts. For a pair of Jordan. Scoba, Steve, like shoes too, but yours.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Same thing, Scuba. Oh, yeah, mine's the same thing. Couldn't afford him as a kid. Now I buy the heck out of them now. And I go back and buy the ones that are nostalgia for me, like Pippins, Jordans, pennies, shacks, that kind of stuff. And I had no idea that store was in the mall. Did you go?
Starting point is 00:09:22 I haven't gone yet because I've been complaining about Nashville, the lack of shoe stores here. They have a good one. That wasn't what this was about, but it is now. That's finally a good shoe store in our mall. I'm going this weekend. So I guess that's it. I was going to talk about the Christmas exchange.
Starting point is 00:09:34 We'll do that later then. Save it. Well, I'll just do it later today's morning. Great. I'll save until tomorrow. I got some good stuff about what we're going to do for our Christmas exchange. It's time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:09:48 It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. I've been working at this company for several years. We just got a new boss. He has difficulty hearing. the other workers when they talk to him. I do my best every single day, but lately he's been calling me Greg. But my name is Chris. Every day he calls me Greg. I didn't know at first, and I just answered, but now I know he thinks my name is Greg. I need your advice. I felt awkward
Starting point is 00:10:18 correcting him several weeks in. What do I do? Am I just Greg now? Signed, definitely not Greg. Well, Chris, aka Greg, you might just be Greg now. At work, yeah. It's a new boss. And you go up to a new boss and like, hey, man, you're all wrong. I'm Chris. That's going to be trouble for that relationship. It's humiliating.
Starting point is 00:10:40 And he doesn't have any sort of relationship with you so he can catch you pretty easy. New bosses coming to and want to change everything. I want to put their own fingerprint, so he'd have no problem changing you out. And then he might wonder, why did you wait weeks to tell me? And let me call you that in front of everybody. Nope, you're Greg now. You got two things you can do. One, you can slowly, like, infiltrate and start to be Chris again through emails.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Or, you know, if he walks by, you're talking to their friend. Yeah, it's Chris. Yeah, I couldn't believe she. I don't know. That's a tough one. Yeah, it's tough. Or you're just Greg. And when the boss gets emails from Chris, though, is he like, who's Chris?
Starting point is 00:11:18 You have to change the name at work. Yeah. Chris, aka Greg. Yeah. Just forever. Everyone calls him Greg. I like it. I think you may just be Greg for a while until you know him well enough to go, hey,
Starting point is 00:11:31 or, or you tell him you're changing your name. Hey, today, I'm just not to change my name. He used to be Greg, but that was my dad who left me when I was nine. I'm going to start going by Chris now. Interesting. Okay. Just make up a story. Boom.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Change your name to your real name. Yes. Wow. Boom, mind blown. Okay, but you have to like make sure your dad is really not in life. Yeah, and is the boss, I think that's weird? Like, okay, you're changing your name. He can't even hear you. He'll just be like, okay, Chris.
Starting point is 00:11:57 He said he can't hear very well. You're probably Greg for a while, and you can slowly... You just don't want to tell him your name is not Greg. You want him to figure it out, and hopefully he thinks you've never noticed. That's the goal. Yeah, good luck, Greg, for a while. Chris. Good luck temporarily, Greg.
Starting point is 00:12:14 All right, that's the deal. That's the mail bag. Close it up. We've got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Starting point is 00:14:58 Christmas gift exchange, that's what we're going to do. We do it every year. I got four options here. Because we're all here, we all don't want to have to get stuck with buying a gift for everybody. We'll all go broke. There's like nine people on this show at this point. Ready.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Number one, as submitted by Ray, an animal Christmas. We each buy each other an animal. I like that. I thought about that, but that's pretty dumb. That's pretty funny. No, no, no, no. Yeah. That's not bad.
Starting point is 00:15:22 No, no, we have a no more animal rule in my house. We're done with that. It could be a dog, a fish, a turtle, a chinchilla, lizard. No, no, no, no. So, no. So, don't. The voting is going to be us four right here. And if there's a tie, we'll throw it over to mic.
Starting point is 00:15:37 An animal Christmas, yeah or nay. Yay. Yay. Nay. What are you guys thinking? What's wrong with y'all? Nay, okay. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Oh, nay. Animals will die in this process. Yes. Okay. Next up, from Ray. Ray submitted mostly all these ideas on this. Did you guys not submit ideas? I submitted one.
Starting point is 00:15:57 A good one. I don't think I submitted any. I forgot all about it. Well, if you didn't submit an idea, you don't get a present. What? Ooh, I like that. I submitted one. Buy something from another state Christmas.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Something that is popular in the state the person's from, you get them for the person you've drawn. I like that one. You can say, yay, we'll keep it alive, or nay, we'd kill it. But let's say Eddie from Texas, it can be anything that's as long, Texas peat sauce. But that's not from Texas. What about?
Starting point is 00:16:23 I will see you. Cowboys. It can be whatever. Yes, Amy. Think about that. The state Christmas. Oh, that's not bad. You don't have to say yes.
Starting point is 00:16:33 We're married to it, but keep it alive or kill it. Yay or nay. Yay. Yay. Yay. I'll keep that one on life. I like it. Two more options.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Pass or smash. Love it. That's not what you think. I don't understand. This one's from Mike Deam. Yeah, your present comes in, you don't like it, you smash it. Oh. So, as normal, we draw names and you buy a gift for the person that you draw.
Starting point is 00:16:56 We exchange gifts as normal. You can keep it or pass and smash. Now, you have the option to pass the gift to someone else and steal a gift you like, or smash the gift and spend the will for cash. Who puts the cash up? Bobby. Probably me. I think what it is, I think you can either keep it.
Starting point is 00:17:16 or smash it, and if you smash it, you can spin it the wheel. You simplify it. Hey, you can spin it for cash it. I like it. Pass or smash? Keep or yeah. Yeah, it's good. Pass or smash, spin it for cash. We don't need a nursery rhyme. Oh, I don't like that third one. That's pretty good. Pass or smash Christmas? Nay. Yay! I think it'll be fun, yay. I go yay too. That one's alive. What? That's fun, Amy. It's just going to be so sad if someone gets someone a cold gift and they smash it. That's the best part.
Starting point is 00:17:47 But you want to get them something cool enough that they don't want to go to the wheel. Yeah, but people... Okay. How about risk it for the biscuit Christmas? Uh-oh. What is that? You can accept the gift that you've received from your person
Starting point is 00:18:00 or you can take a gift, a good gift, from Bobby's mystery boxes. Yep, I'm in. But two of the boxes, and there'll be seven total boxes in my chest here, two of the boxes will have something spicy in it. The little nitro, the gummy bear, the world's hottest chip, and you have to eat it immediately.
Starting point is 00:18:22 If you open the hot one, you eat it immediately. No way. Oh, yeah. So the five, the seven gifts that I don't have, five of them will be good gifts. Good gifts. Elevated gifts. Let's go. Two of them, though, will be killers.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Sounds fun. I'm in. You want risk it for the biscuit? Risk it for the biscuit. But you can also just keep. Or a spicy Christmas, maybe? Oh, a spicy Christmas. Yeah, because what's the biscuit about it?
Starting point is 00:18:46 We're just risking it. Yeah. Yeah, we're just, hey, we're just spitball in here. Eddie, we want nursery rhymes here. Uh-huh. No, he's, earlier. You want us? You want a spicy Christmas?
Starting point is 00:18:54 Keep that or no? Yeah, sure. Spicy Christmas. Spicy Christmas, yes. No. No, I don't want that. No, I don't want to eat the gummy, the hottest gummy bear. You can keep your gift.
Starting point is 00:19:04 You don't even have to go to it. You're going to be a sissy. No, look, look, you never have to go to the Bobby. There's not even a chance. If you don't welcome, if you just get somebody and they get your gift, that's it. You're done. Right. Just vote yay.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Just vote yay. Bye. Yeah, there you go. Spicy Christmas. Easy breezy. But Eddie, nobody has to take part of that. Yeah, you don't have to risk it for the biscuit, dude. You don't have to go spicy Christmas.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Oh. But if the gift is so bad, you're going to risk it for the biscuit. I'm just scarred by spicy. But you do not have to even go to the spice box. Right. You can keep your crap gift or you can risk it for the biscuit. Yeah, so if you want to get super spicy. Spice.
Starting point is 00:19:38 You can keep it lame and tame or you can go spicy spice. Okay. A lot of rhyming guys. What do you think about that? You all already passed it, right? You got three votes. It's going. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:48 So here are our options. Man. Now the state one's out. I'm already over the state one. Okay, so now that we have three. It's basically spicy. Well, no, we get three left. We got by the state Christmas.
Starting point is 00:20:00 That's cute. It's cute. Hey. Hey. Hey, estate Christmas. Okay, let's go back to it. We have three. Estate Christmas, yes or no?
Starting point is 00:20:09 Yes. Nay. Nay. All right, a state Christmas has been killed. So it's either pass or smash or a spicy Christmas I like pass or smash I like the mystery of in the box of the spice Do you want to just keep these two alive for now?
Starting point is 00:20:25 Yes I'm gonna need time to think about it Yeah me too I want to sleep on it Well I thought later in this shit Well maybe I'll take a nap All right so it's either a spicy Christmas Or pass and smash Christmas Yeah
Starting point is 00:20:37 Both are fun That's great But nobody has to eat the spicy Right You don't have to you don't go to the boxes Yeah to stay lame and tame But I'm telling you, if you go to the box. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:20:49 That's loaded with money. Oh, my goodness. You'll be laughing so hard. You'll be so rich, it's funny. This is designed for lunchbox. I love it. Oh, my gosh. Okay, so we're holding those two right now?
Starting point is 00:21:00 Oh, yeah. Good. Well, smash your pass, somebody's going to cry. Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. Because that was just like smash, spin the wheel. Smash your gift. Happy holidays from the Bobby Bone Show. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:21:16 With producer Eddie. They'll make something good. 18-year-old Finn Connor and his dad were going to a Boston Celtics Bulls game at the garden. They're leaving the game. And they hear, help, help from a nearby waterway. So the sun looks down. He goes, oh, my gosh, there's someone in the water. So he runs down, gets to the water, sees that someone's already helping.
Starting point is 00:21:37 But he says, I'm going to come help you both. I'm going to help you. So he goes, and they both help get the guy. He's unconscious, but he's still breathing. They pull him ashore. By that time, the dad had a recall 911. EMS was there. The guy was saved.
Starting point is 00:21:49 So the person yelling help wasn't the person needed the help. It was the person already helping. It was the guy that was trying to save him, but he also was needing help. Yeah. Wow. Which reminded me of my days of being a lifeguard. Oh, boy. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:21:59 It's kind of the same thing, you know. Like a mom had jumped in to help her son. Well, here go. Lifeguard had his help both of them. The son and the mom. Were you on the diving board thing up there on top? I was in the lifeguard stand. Is that up high?
Starting point is 00:22:11 Oh, yeah. That's where you kind of see. all the water. You could see the whole community. So you jumped from up there? Did you come down a ladder? Yes. Yeah, no, no, no. You stand up, you have the float. Did you like dive? It's not a dive. It's a jump. You got to go feet first. And you yell everybody, get out of the way. Get out of the way. You blow your whistle. You say, I'm coming in. I'm coming in. I'm here to save. I'm here to save. Yeah. And then you like Mighty Mouse. Here I come to save the day. No, not all that. Do you know Mighty Mouse? Yeah, yeah. The mouse. The mouse. The mouse. The
Starting point is 00:22:40 Little, yeah, superhero maths. Here I come to save the day. I know what you're talking about. Okay, well, Eddie, good for you. I'm glad you can bring that up. By the way, Eddie did pass his life card training less than a year ago. So if I wanted to do it again today, I could do all that.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Yeah, and shout out, what's his name? Yeah, his name was Finn Connor. Finn? Yeah. Good job, dude. Go Celtics. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:23:04 The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable, private, nonprofit Christian university based in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona. The food punishment, if you lose, you must eat sardines with whipped cream. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. I cannot eat a sardine. Yes, you can.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Then don't lose. I don't even know what a sardine is. It's a piece of cake. All right, here we go. I cannot. You ever have a birthday gate? Yeah. Just like that. Okay, sorry. You ever had fun faddy birthday cake? Yeah. Basically that. I would much prefer Kit Kat with tartar sauce. Oh, yeah. It gets a little more elevated at all the time. This is amazing. Yeah. All right, Amy, you have three questions. Oh my gosh, I don't know what that is, but it sounds bad. You don't know what a sardine is? I don't think I've ever seen one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:11 But you know what it is? I've heard of it. What do you think it is? Like a, it's a tuna. Okay, it's fish. Tuna would be nice. Oh gosh. It's not tuna?
Starting point is 00:26:21 Is it like an oyster then? No, it's a fish. It's a really, really stinky fish. Oh, right. So here we go. And it comes looking like the fish, right? Oh yeah, that's the whole thing. It's the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Yeah. It's mashed up. It ain't that bad, actually. It's horrible. I've never had one. I think it's a delicacy in some countries. So are snails. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:26:42 I'm not eating one of those. Amy, you get three questions, and lunchbox should know the answer to all three of these. So let's see how many you get. Are you ready? Ready. Amy, who's playing the halftime show of the Super Bowl in 2023? Why?
Starting point is 00:26:59 This was announced, and why am I not? It was announced. Big story. We talked about it on the show. I know. This is level one softball. But now I feel like my everything in me. failing.
Starting point is 00:27:10 I'm falling apart. Is she crying? Yes. Almost. She's already freaked herself out about the sardine. It's like my brain is not working. The only person I have in my head is Taylor Swift, but... Who is playing the halftime show of 2023?
Starting point is 00:27:27 Let me go through people. Taylor Swift. Incorrect. I don't know. Steal at lunchbox. Rihanna. Correct. Oh, Rihanna.
Starting point is 00:27:38 Yes! D. noises when she says answers. I didn't. I did. Well, it's okay. He could have been tricking me, but I know that Rie-Rie is doing it. Lunch, excuse me, Amy, in college football. Oh my God. What's the LSU mascot? The LSU Blank. LSU, Louisiana State University. Their mascot is the Tiger. Correct. Good job on that one. Whatever. I'm so mad I miss Rihanna. I'm so mad at Taylor just being in my brain all the time. Amy, the American League and the National League.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Yeah. Are the two major leagues in what sport? The American League and the National League. Oh, my God. And what sport are they the two leagues? I don't understand why I'm thinking it's football, because it just seems like football is the NFL and the national football league. But I don't know that I see anything on TV about the AFL. The American League and the National League.
Starting point is 00:28:36 But that also could be soccer. Are two basically divisions in what sport? I did not think that the football had... leagues, divisions, but I feel like there is divisions in the country for some reason. But it's the national and American. American League and niche. It's either soccer or football, but if I say it like this, football to both work. Oh, so you're hitting it with a double.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Yeah. Soccer and football by going to football. Yes. Incorrect. What? What is it? Lunchbox? Baseball.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Correct. Yes! I do not. Amy got one. I got one. Stole two. I am going to vomit. No, that's after you eat.
Starting point is 00:29:20 There's still time. Lunchbox. Yeah, let's go. Name the British luxury brand, best known for expensive trench coat, coats, scarves, its signature check and plaid pattern. What's the name of the brand?
Starting point is 00:29:34 Very famous for a plaid pattern. Very distinctive plaid pattern. Plad and pattern. British brand. Trench coats. scarves, a plaid pattern. British. I don't know anything from Britain. Chanel.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Incorrect. Amy? Burberry. Correct. Burberry is correct. Just like that. Sardine's in my mouth. I don't know what that is. It's two to two. I know.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Not yet. Carthine is. Stupid. Which Real House Wives Lunchbox was the first before all spinoffs. The O.C. Orange County. Correct. Oh, you knew that. You totally knew that.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Guys. You're a fan. Yeah. I was going to say, oh, gee, but then I was like, well, then I don't know what that would be. Yeah. Lunchbox, if you get this right, you win. Oh, my gosh. No sardine in my mouth.
Starting point is 00:30:41 If you miss it and Amy steals, it's a tie. We go to sudden death. Oh, no. I'm sweating. Lunchbox, what's the name of Taylor Swift's upcoming tour? No. Don't hit him because he was asking. He already knows.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Derek's for tickets yesterday. What's the name of her upcoming tour? Oh my God. That's funny, right? Got to check my text messages? You cannot. Whoa, buddy. What is the name?
Starting point is 00:31:14 All over. Yeah. Yeah. The city. Wow. That'd be cool. That's not it. It's me.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Hi. I'm the problem. It's me. Taylor Swift's upcoming tour. You need this to tie. You're in it. I know. It's coming down to you knowing a Taylor Swift thing.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Right. Would you think I would know? But my brain is not working. I swear to you. It's like, huh. I probably wouldn't even know two plus two. Hold on. I'm thinking.
Starting point is 00:31:50 You guys have the food prepared? Come on. Bring it in. Bring it in. Come on with it. Anti-hero tour. What is the name of the tour? Midnight.
Starting point is 00:31:58 Here comes, scuba Steve. He's shaking up. I'm the problem. The whipped cream. And he's got the sardines. Go on open it. Yeah, go and open it up. It's me.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Hi. He's opening. Oh, that juice just flew out. I'm the problem. Amy, I need to answer. Taylor Swift's upcoming tour is? Oh, that's what's correct? Incorrect.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Stop! What is it? It's eras. It's all of her different eras. Oh, eras. Dara's what I said. She's even going to go. She's even going to play her country.
Starting point is 00:32:26 It's time for Amy to eat the sardier. Yeah. Do the sardi. Why couldn't I think of eras? You had two pretty softballies. Rihanna and Taylor Swift, you're still lost. Yeah, that's why I'm saying. My brain.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Just set up for you. Amy, I just... Sardines. Sardines, sardines, sardines, sardines, sardines, sardines. Come on, Amy. There's sardines and whipped cream right on your desk, Amy. There's a fork, too. Use the fork because that smells not going to get off your hand.
Starting point is 00:32:55 Hey, may the fork be with you. Oh, that's a good one. We need to see a sardine. You can't go only whipped cream. Yeah, that would be smart, though, to go whip cream only. She's digging in with the fork. I can't look at the sardine. You have to look.
Starting point is 00:33:10 You have to look. Go. Oh, I smell it, man. Go. Oh, boy. Is you getting it? Did I get the sardine? Look.
Starting point is 00:33:17 The faster you do, the faster we can not smell it. It looks like a... It is a fish. It's like a... It looks like... I swear to you I just saw it's veins or something. Okay. Is that sardine?
Starting point is 00:33:33 I don't know. That's 99% of a fish. Oh! This smells like my dog's breath. Which on my dog, I don't mind. She has to eat at least one fish, right? Yes. No.
Starting point is 00:33:46 You are losing your mind. We're running out of time. You have to the whole thing. Get a fish. Get a fish. Get a fish. Maybe you have to get another one. Oh, she put in the mouth.
Starting point is 00:33:56 Don't vomit. Don't vomit. Oh, she's shaking. She's violently convulsing. She's slapping the microphone. Oh, blah, blah, blah. You can do it. You... Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:34:10 You got it. I don't want... She's chewing now. Oh. Uh-oh. Don't puke. People eat this for fun, on pizzas. She's going back to the well for more... Her whipped cream. She's gonna eat all the whipped cream and have none left for her sardine. Okay, whipped cream shooter.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Chase her. That's what I did. Chase it. Why does stink? Okay. You good? I did it. All right. That was like a cord of a fish, but okay. I don't care. I cannot do any more. I swear to you or I will vomit.
Starting point is 00:34:47 But I did it. And I'm proud of myself. There's still stuff stuck in my teeth, though. You act like you just fought a fire or something. Like she just came out of a burning house without. He's like, I got you. It's stuff to do. But I saved a lot of lives in there.
Starting point is 00:35:04 I did it. And I'm proud of myself. I am proud of myself because I thought I was going to have to spit it out. And I swallowed it. You lost. How much did you feel good about that? I mean, it was only a quarter of a It was only a quarter of a fish, but I ate a whole
Starting point is 00:35:16 Kit Kat with a... That's true. Tartar sauce and Kit Kat is very different than that. Well, we're gonna play Morgan Wallin. Amy, if you're satisfied with it, I guess we are too. Do you need me to take another bite? Take a bite! Take a bite! We didn't see any fish!
Starting point is 00:35:29 I ate the fish. The fish is missing from the can. No, not really. You see it. Gone. Go fishing. Okay, fine. Because I don't need y'all feeling like I don't do my part around here. Go.
Starting point is 00:35:41 Go. Oh, my God. Go, go, go, go, go. Her hands are shaking. Just grab the fish, Amy. Just, shoot. Go, go, go, go, go. There we go.
Starting point is 00:35:51 There she go. That's a big one. Oh, she's shaking again. There you go. Eat that. All right, Amy. Good job. Oh, she went straight Bowser on it.
Starting point is 00:35:58 Like a boss. Oh, Bowser. Okay. I can do hard things. There she is. All right. Do I do another fishman? There she is.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Get it away from my desk. Get it away for desk. Please. Starting point is 00:38:41 Dot E-D-U slash military. It's a Bobby Bones show interview. In case you didn't know. About to talk to Brantley Gilbert. He's got a bunch of number ones. How about country must be countrywide?
Starting point is 00:38:54 You don't know her like I do. Bottoms up. I could keep going. But he's a dude you see and you don't want. want to get in a fight with, but if he's, like, loyal to you, like, he'll, he'll, I'm not going to say kill somebody for you. But I wouldn't doubt it. I know what you're saying, though.
Starting point is 00:39:16 Yeah, I like Brantley a lot. On the phone right now, we're going to do a world premiere with him. Here is Brantley Gilbert. On the Bobby Bone Show now. Brantley, Gilbert. Hey, Brantley, what's up, buddy? What's going on, brother? How are you doing?
Starting point is 00:39:30 Hey, I'm doing pretty good. Where are you today? The dog house, but we're getting ready to leave here at about 30 minutes to go to Michigan. and then I'm gone till December 20th. Why till December 20? That's a long... Is that you doing shows? Yeah, man, we're going out with five-finger death punch.
Starting point is 00:39:46 And apparently these heavy metal bands don't like to go home in the middle. So you're going on like a rock and roll tour. Like you're not coming home at all. Not much. I think I get to eat Thanksgiving dinner with the family. But outside of that, I'm out, brother. You're playing on tour with five-finger death punch? What kind of...
Starting point is 00:40:05 I don't know. Help me out here, Brantley. What kind of music is... five-finger death punch. Sounds aggressive. I think that's a good word for it, man. These boys, it's just kind of a, you know, if I'm getting on the motorcycle and I'm riding around, that might be a playlist I hit up, or if I'm in the gym or something,
Starting point is 00:40:25 and I need a little push. It's kind of like that kind of rock. Do you, are you playing right before them? Are you playing after them? I'm just not familiar with them, so I don't understand. Yeah, we're actually, man, since it's kind of a co-headline. We'll go on 75 minutes set right before them. Oh, that's a full set.
Starting point is 00:40:46 That's a headliner set. What kind of crowd is it a five-finger death? I'm just now obsessed with this idea of going to a five-finger death punch show. What kind of crowd is five-finger death punch? They're actually pretty wild, but in a good way. There's actually, I think, going to be a little more crossover than we originally thought. But you're asking some of the same questions I did the first time this idea. came across the table, but
Starting point is 00:41:11 we've been talking about doing it for years, man. We're just now going for it. Is this one of those shows where you spit on the people watching? I'm not going to be spitting on anybody. I've seen some of those, but like, and it's like a sign of, like, love them. They spit on them because they love them. That's a hard core stuff.
Starting point is 00:41:27 Really? Yeah. Like the Ramones used to do that, too, like way back in the day, like all the punk stuff. Anyway, well, Brantley's on, and we're talking about five-finger death punch, but really, Brandle's got us on with Blake and Vince Gill, which is a completely...
Starting point is 00:41:39 Totally juxtaposition. And we're going to get to this and a set. But that's Brantley. He is versatile, no doubt. So, hey, let's talk about this song, Brantley. It's called Heaven by Then. You got Blake and Vince on this song. Why those two guys, and what is it like reaching out to them?
Starting point is 00:41:55 And I tell you what, like every now and then you write a song and you kind of hear the feature while it's being written, right? And this was one of those. It just sounded like Blake right off the bat. It down the demo and Pye Part, and it was like kind of a pipe dream idea. But it was like, man, what if we got Vince Gill on it, too, to do that high part? I wonder, you know, what that would sound like. And he agreed to do it.
Starting point is 00:42:20 It's like if I had a bucket list, I'd definitely be marking two off of it. But having both those guys on the same song is humbly, man. It's awesome. It's called Heaven by Then with Blake Shelton and Vince Gill. We've got Brantley Gilbert on right now. Hey, I want to ask a question about your hair, because why you wear a hat all the time when you're such a perfect head of hair? Well, you know what?
Starting point is 00:42:43 I think a lot of people thought I was bald for a long time. And my son apparently was one of those people. And he informed me that he thought that I was bald and I cook that's about. Because usually, somebody that wears a hat all the time, wears a hat because maybe they don't like their hair or how it's growing, Eddie. So that's the situation. But Braley's got like the most perfect head of hair. And I think most people just felt like he was probably balding.
Starting point is 00:43:10 But I will say right now, great head of hair. A plus A. I appreciate it. What they call it, lettuce or something. I don't know what that. What? That's what good hits called? Yeah, apparently. Yeah, some kid yesterday told me I had lettuce.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Okay. And he said it was a good thing. I don't know, man. That's kind of what this song's about. I kind of feel like the world's left me behind me. Did you ever feel like you fit in, though? I've always felt like you kind of did your own thing. There were some circles I felt at home in.
Starting point is 00:43:42 Maybe not this one. yeah i guess that's you got a point that damn kind of a yeah that's valid yeah no i i mean we're definitely different but i think we're the same in the way we kind of do things our own way and i think sometimes when you do things as they say you march to a beat of a different drum sometimes you do feel lonely but i think overall as long as you get to continue to have your own independent voice that's probably where you get a lot of fulfillment right all right brantley gilbert on with us we're going to end with this brantley what's the song if someone were going to say, all right, Brantley,
Starting point is 00:44:16 you get to leave one song behind and that's it. And for the rest of eternity, there's going to be one Brantley Gilbert song that's left for everybody to hear. What would that song be? Well, the smart thing to say right now would be having by them feature play Chelsea. I think the answer, man, the true answer is a song I wrote called My Faith.
Starting point is 00:44:34 You know, if I had to leave my stamp on the world, I think I'd probably want them to make sure they know who the good Lord was and what he'd done. for me. And I'd say bottoms up. There you go. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:44:48 they're going to need some drinks. That's right. Well, look, he's got a brand new song out today. Brantley, it's good to talk with you
Starting point is 00:44:54 and we're rooting for you to come back alive after the tour with five-finger death punch. Yeah. Well, the real cool surprise, man, is we actually released our album
Starting point is 00:45:03 today too. Wait, what? Really? Yeah, so it's a little bit of a surprise. But it's so help me, God,
Starting point is 00:45:09 it's going to be out at the same time. So we're rocking right along a little surprise to go with it. There's four new songs, and that won't be the end of it. So there'll be another release following. But yeah, man. Well, I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:45:24 It's a surprise for me, too. And I'm going to fire my producers for not to let me know that, Brantley. So that's where we are today. All right, buddy. I hope everybody gets fired on account of me, but I appreciate you having me, brother. It's out today, Brantley's new music and also the song Heaven By Then with Blake and Vince. Brantley, good luck, buddy. Happy, happy holidays, and we'll talk to you soon.
Starting point is 00:45:42 You got it, really thank you for having me this morning. Brantley, go out everybody. Thanks, Brantley. Good to see you, buddy. Good to talk to you. A voice mail from Sean in San Francisco. This message would be for Mr. Lunchbox. I just heard about how he still has roof damage.
Starting point is 00:45:57 Now, I help one of my close friends who owns a roofing company down in Florida. Now, he said he hasn't fixed his roof within five months since the storm. Technically, that's negligence. And he might not be able to get. a new roof due to that. And it's been, like he said, five months prior from the storm. So it's going to be hard to try to even get money back from insurance.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Thoughts? I mean, I don't think it's been negligent. I can explain to the insurance that I was... That I was working with a reality show. And they strung me along and they got my hopes up. And then they ghosted me and left me and just disregard, disrepair, distress. I don't think that's in the contract.
Starting point is 00:46:41 And so I will tell you the insurance They can take it up with the reality show Which one? I'm not naming the name. Building Roots. Terrible show. Awful. Have you recorded your part, Amy?
Starting point is 00:46:54 And I can't. I don't know. What part? I don't know. I thought you were going to be like a B line or something. If lunchbox is going to be A, you were going to be B. Yeah. Well, he, yeah, where I don't know. So he's not A, so you're not B.
Starting point is 00:47:04 She gets fired too. She hates the show. Oh, man. Are we all blackballing him now? Yeah. Terrible show. Worst show on HGTV. I did not know I was negligent.
Starting point is 00:47:13 I thought I was doing something smart by getting a TV show to come in and do it. But that's not, they don't care. But I didn't know they didn't care. And you still have holes in your roof. I do. I have tarps. Still, this is crazy talk. No, it's not.
Starting point is 00:47:27 It's real life talk. You have children. Yes, I have three of them. And a dog. And it rains and stuff? Yeah, but the tarps cover the rain. Except for the one big one, you put a trash can under it when it rains. But you've left your house like,
Starting point is 00:47:39 this for five months. Because I thought that we were moving forward with reality show. And now that it's over, in the next few weeks, I will file my insurance claim. Let's do one more voicemail. Hey, this is for Amy. I heard her talking about Danny Goki's song that her son is farting to. And I used to be Danny's tour manager. And he is actually one of my neighbors. So I just sent it to Danny and his wife. And they thought it was hilarious. So thanks for the laugh this morning. They enjoyed it. Oh, my gosh. Amy's son makes his own remixes now with his own farts.
Starting point is 00:48:13 It's awful. He was, yeah, that. But hilarious. Hilarious. He made me gag when we played his version. There's a real fart. It's a real one. It's a real one.
Starting point is 00:48:21 We're not playing it. We're not playing again. The Babbon show. Here's Amy's pile of stories. I saw this article about how this ex-spy had to live and what you have to do if you want to be a spy. You want to hear some of the things? Hide. Change your name.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Well, that's the thing. You have to have five different identities. identities running at the same time at all times. And like if you have to get rid of one of them, like it's, you have to burn it. You have to immediately pick up a fifth identity because five is the like safe way to function. I can't even watch a show. My wife and I'll watch a show and I'll watch one ahead of her.
Starting point is 00:48:54 I can't even do that and her not know. I'd be a terrible spot. Because I will be, then we'll be watching the episode that I probably shouldn't have watched and I'll be clenching up early. And she's like, why are you? You watched it, didn't you? I'm like, dang it. She got you.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Yes, I'd be a terrible spy. Some of your IDs or your identifications have to be so in-depth. Like, you've got to have social media presence, all the different things. I don't know my cell phone number now. You don't know your cell phone number? I don't remember my ID. I don't know my number. I don't know my own one single number now.
Starting point is 00:49:23 And you want me to know five IDs? Five, five, all the things. And some relationships have to be really deep and in-depth because there's long-term manipulation in case you're trying to recruit them. That I'm good with. Yeah. But you're trying to recruit them, like, to join you. you, which is like crazy to keep all of that information in your head at once. I don't know. He said he finally had to get out of the business because he had no social life,
Starting point is 00:49:45 like a real one. I get that too. Yeah. Maybe I wouldn't do a good spy. All right, what else? I have the top passive aggressive office behaviors. Okay. Is that like quiet quitting when they say?
Starting point is 00:49:58 No, it's just stuff that happens internally with like coworkers and stuff that cause a toxic work environment. Well, toxic literally is lunchbox farting. Because he doesn't, that's literal. Yes. Being sarcastic in a mean way. We do that here on the show sometimes. Not mean.
Starting point is 00:50:16 No. Maybe you do to us, but we don't. It's not a fun. You wouldn't do that. An example is, oh yeah, that's a brilliant plan. We do stuff like that. We think there's a really brilliant. Talking behind someone's back,
Starting point is 00:50:27 complaints and resentment, giving people the silent treatment. And then. You do not do that. Yeah, no, I talk too much. Hey, Spilly T's definitely on that list, Scott Rory, right? But we get to say it's a bit, so it's not real.

Starting point is 00:50:57 She died before it all happened. So it's a way to honor her and put the album out and be like, yep, I'm Carolyn's boy. That's really great. I haven't seen Darius. And a month of Sundays, my grandma used to say. Yeah. It's been a while.
Starting point is 00:51:08 Darius and I, I mean, we're friends, but I haven't seen him in a long time. So I saw the album cover of his mom. It's like black and white. It's really cool. But all in all, I got it turned around. But beware that they are texting you about packages.
Starting point is 00:51:43 My friend also got a similar text, but I taught her already. I appreciate that. Now we know, that's somebody acting like the post office. That's not the post office.
