Starting point is 00:02:43 Morning. Here we go. Up, first. He takes long, long walks. I don't know why. Clear his head. Exercise. Sometimes he rides a skateboard instead of walking.
Starting point is 00:02:55 But he's 42 years old. Here he is. Our producer, Eddie. Yeah, thanks. I'm 43 months. You're younger. Hey, I'm being honest. So, guys, there's a mystery in my neighborhood, and it's finally been
Starting point is 00:03:05 solved. Somebody has been opening all the mailbox doors on the mailbox and leaving them open. Like the parents are like, is this the mailman? Like what is happening here? A neighbor finally saw who's doing it. I don't understand. I don't understand why somebody would do that. Exactly. It's my three-year-old. He walks by every house
Starting point is 00:03:22 on our street. By himself? Nobody sees him? No parent has ever seen him. But he just casually walks, opens it, opens it. Hold on. I don't want to lose the real headline here. Your three-year-old is by himself. Walking up and down the street?
Starting point is 00:03:35 No, no, no. They travel like groups and the kids. The kids all go together. They ride bikes or whatever. And while the kids are riding bikes, he just opens the doors and walks. Oh, so the older kids are watching him. Of course. He's not out there by himself, guys.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Come on, I'm not that bad of a parent. I don't think you're a bad parent at all. Thank you. But I did worry for a second about your judgment in that one situation. No. All right, thank you, Eddie. Up next from Austin, Texas. And I'm going to tell you, as far as bangs go, he's rocking them.
Starting point is 00:03:59 They're almost all the way down to his eyebrows. What? That's right. He's moving him out now. He's got bangs. Just lunchbox. There he is. All right, lunchbox. I wanted to say congratulations to Breeland,
Starting point is 00:04:09 because he came in this studio the other day, and he officially gets the lunchbox stamp of approval, because not only did I like his performance, I went home and looked up his music, and I never look up people's music because I was like, this dude's good. The guy hates music, and he liked that. Up next, she has a podcast event in Wichita happening in November.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Tickets gone sell tomorrow. Just go to Bobbybones.com at 10 Central, and you can go to this event. Here she is. Amy, everybody. Well, I had an embarrassing run-in with the lull yesterday. I was buying a six-pack amount due with the gas station for my kids just to surprise them. The last-minute thing, I was kind of in a hurry.
Starting point is 00:04:45 And as I'm checking out, I drop all the cans and they explode and go everywhere. Oh, my gosh. And there was a police officer in line behind me, and it sprayed his pants. So I asked. Multiple levels of embarrassment. If I could please buy his Snickers bar that he had in his hand and thank him for his service. Did you? Of course.
Starting point is 00:05:03 That's embarrassing. That's embarrassing. That's embarrassing. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas, he has a dog named Stanley. He's 6-1 and manly. Bobby Bones. I like a guy. I like the time.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Manly. Also have a dog named Eller. When my wife and I went on vacation about a month ago, the hotel's like, hey, as part of our service, if you have to check, we'll just mail them back for you. I was like, that's awesome. So you just mail our back. I don't want to check. I hate checking.
Starting point is 00:05:28 I didn't want to have to check anyway. But we were gone for like a week. And so they said, just give us your bags. We'll mail them back home. We still don't have them yet. Oh, no. We don't know where they are. You got Amyed.
Starting point is 00:05:36 We don't know where they are. I don't know where the bags are. We called them. They were like, well, we're trying to locate it. We know we sent it to Miami and then we can't find. We got two full bags full of our important stuff. All your stuff. We haven't had in over three weeks.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Ro Ro, that's not good, man. It was part of their service. I didn't go and ask them, hey, could you mail our bags back? It was a service they provided. Did you get scanned? I don't think so because they knew about it when we called. They were like, oh, we're so sorry. All the hotel employees are wearing their staff.
Starting point is 00:06:04 there was a big garage sale. Oh, man. So we don't have our bags, and we have it for weeks. Not good. And right now they can't find our bags. Between the hotel, the airport that I'd be, I don't, the carrier, I don't know. I don't know. That's where we are.
Starting point is 00:06:18 All right, welcome to today's show. Let's get going here with Thursday's Bobby Bone show. Bobby Bone. Yeah. Mailbag time. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's mail bag. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Hello. Oh, Bobby Bone. I need some advice. After many years of trying and a few rounds of IVF, we are finally pregnant. I had planned to tell my family the same day we tell his family.
Starting point is 00:06:44 It was all set up. Until one of my sisters wanted to plan a 30th birthday party for my other sister the same day after we had already set up when the announcements were going to happen. All my close family will be at this party.
Starting point is 00:06:55 We most likely will not all be together again until the holidays, and I cannot wait that long to announce. I've been battling this. I've even tried to plan a different day, but it doesn't work out that we can all be together. Would it be tacky and selfish to ask my sister who is having the birthday if I can announce this towards the end of her party?
Starting point is 00:07:16 Thank you so much. Signed. Happy but nervous. It's not a wedding. It's not a wedding. You can't do this at a wedding. It's a birthday party. I have no problem with you going to your sister and being like, hey, do you care if the end of the party,
Starting point is 00:07:31 I announced this, your sister probably can be pumped for you. Yeah. If it was a wedding, I would say, nah, chill. You got to chill 24. And you're just S-O-L because I know everybody's together at the wedding. But that is a special day that only happens once, parentheses, or twice, or three times. Sometimes, yeah. Into parentheses.
Starting point is 00:07:48 You only get one 30th birthday, but who cares? It's cool, but you have many birthdays. You know your sister. If you know her well enough to think, I think she may let it. Ask her. I think she's going to be so pumped for you. It's not going to matter. And you don't lead the party with it.
Starting point is 00:08:03 All right, everybody, thanks for coming. I'm having a baby. Because then it's all about you. You just don't want to make it about you for 98% of that party because it's about her. I think your sister probably cool with it. If you're thinking, can I do it? You probably can. Again, it's not a wedding.
Starting point is 00:08:19 So ask your sister. She's probably going to say yes. The end. If she's a cool sister, a loving sister, she's going to think this is bigger than her 30th birthday. So that's what I say. Anybody disagree with that? No. Okay, good.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Because I feel pretty passionate about any loving sister on a birthday is going to say, this is the greatest birthday present I've ever gotten, is you finally getting pregnant. Exactly. I think that's it. So congratulations from all of us. And have a talk with your sister. And say, I don't even want to say it during the first two hours of your birthday.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I want to announce it before everybody goes home because I want it to be about you. She's going to love it. I love it for you. I like talking like this. Can I get in this tone? I'm happy. All right. That's the mail bag.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Close it up. We've got your email and we read. on the air. Now it's time to close. Bobby's Mel back. Yeah. Getting so many messages and DMs about the curse that I've put on Clemson football. Because we were rejected wholeheartedly by Dabbo Sweeney, their head coach. Not, hey, let's catch up in a few weeks or can't do it today. What about tomorrow? Just had no interest. So I've cursed the Clemson football team and I will not lift the curse. Who knows you may win this week? You never know when the curse is going to get you.
Starting point is 00:09:28 The curse gets you on a Tuesday while you sleep. Oh, man. You can't really lose the game on a Tuesday. He can't. But the film could disappear. That's right. Practice could go wrong. So I will not lift my curse of Clemson Football. Okay. Until Dabo comes on this show and says to me verbatim, please lift the curse of Clemson football.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Oh, wow. Until then, that showbiz, baby. That's the curse. All right, let's go over and play a little game called Elder versus Millennial. All right, Eddie, the oldest on the show. 43 years old. Morgan, the youngest on the show. 28 years old.
Starting point is 00:10:00 And they're playing a game based on what they knew as they grew up as kids. The loser... No, no, no, no. What? I don't know. Whatever this is, I don't want. The loser has to eat an Oscar Meyer group of flavored gummies.
Starting point is 00:10:13 It's a hot dog gummy. A weiner gummy? Hot dog gummies? Ugh. Oh. And by the way, you have to dip it in mustard or ketchup. No. It's a hot girl flavor.
Starting point is 00:10:22 We have that here. Oh, my God. We have that here. Okay, so let's play Elder versus Millennial, which, if you lose, the product says, what do Oscar Meyer gummy hot dogs taste like? There's only one way to find out. You guys have your buzzers?
Starting point is 00:10:36 Yeah, we do. Eddie, hit yours? Poo-Pee-Pee-Poo-Pee and Morgan? Morgan, Morgan. That's Morgan, Morgan, Morgan, Morgan. If I hear that, that's your buzzer. Here we go. Question number one.
Starting point is 00:10:46 It's an elder question. What celebrity is known for this catchphrase? A pity the fool. Poo-Pee-Pee-Poo-Pee. That's Eddie? That's me and that's Mr. T. Mr. T is correct. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Morgan, you ever heard of Mr. T? Just because of you guys I don't even have any reference No 18 Rocky 3 Yeah Yes
Starting point is 00:11:07 Yeah yeah Yeah yeah Millennial question This is a catchphrase From what Disney channel Show Here's the phrase Oh snap
Starting point is 00:11:18 I heard Morgan go ahead That's So Raven That's So Raven is correct Oh snap Okay An elder question And there will be a clip here In 1993
Starting point is 00:11:32 This band released their debut studio album, August and Everything After. It featured this song. Eddie? That's counting crows. That is correct. I knew it right away, but I didn't want to buzz too early. Is that his whole brag or what I do it right away?
Starting point is 00:11:55 You never know how I'm going to phrase the question either. Exactly. Next one up. Millennial. What Canadian artist released her date? Eddie. Avril Levine. I just said Canadian artist.
Starting point is 00:12:07 And you just jumped in? Averill, dude. The answer is Averal Levine. Yeah! That's why you do it! That's why you do it! What Canadian artist released our debut studio album
Starting point is 00:12:17 Let Go in 2002? There's so many Canadian artists. I was never going to get it, so why not try? I hate you. Dang. I actually hate you. One question left in each category. It's an elder question.
Starting point is 00:12:32 Come on. What's the name of the housekeeper on the show, the Brady Bunch? And Morgan, you need this. Alice. Correct. What? Don't know where that came from, but it was in there. I came on the 60s.
Starting point is 00:12:48 Correct. That's what you get. That's some kind of karma. What? Next up, millennial question. Morgan, you need this to tie. Oh, my gosh. What actor began his acting career on the Mickey Mouse Club as a teen in 19?
Starting point is 00:13:02 Nice. Okay. lot of them, Morgan, so have at it. I know. Acting career, Justin Timberlake. The question is, what actor began his acting career on the Mickey Mouse Club as a teen in 1993 and transition to adult stardom
Starting point is 00:13:12 with the massive popular The Notebook in 2004? What is that guy's name? Eddie, you've already won. His name is... Gosh, I forgot his name. I know his name. Notebook's a great movie, Ryan Gosling. Ryan Gosling.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Morgan, you would have got it? Morgan, you would have got it. Oh, man. Eddie is our winner. But more importantly, that's right. Morgan is our loser. Come on Morgan. Now Morgan, there's no meat in this gummy. Yeah, I was going to say I'm a little concerned.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Because Morgan doesn't eat meat. Why did you already put that? What is it? What do you see in front of you? There's a, oh, it looks like a plastic hot dog. It looks like a hot dog. Yeah, it's a gummy. With ketchup and mustard on it.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Okay, here's good. But it's not like normal mustard. Oh, it's a long gummy. I thought it was going to be like a gummy bear. I have to eat the whole thing. No, it's a hot, it's an entire. gummy hot dog you have to eat half of it okay I'm just gonna go do a whole bite the whole hot dog shaped go oh my goodness I don't I don't even think I've had an
Starting point is 00:14:12 actual hot dog since I was like five years old welcome to the world of hot dogs go oh that's disgusting oh it's stretching it's stretching it's stretching this doesn't hit them at all just on the internet oh my god oh she's gonna her winner sent it she gonna throw up should I get the trash can are you okay Honestly, the gummy's not bad. It's all the textures of the sauces on it. Any gummy with ketchup? I don't care what the gummy is.
Starting point is 00:14:41 So gross. Oh, she's struggling right now. Trashcan? It's fine. Do you have water? Uh, oh. Oh, my God. What kind of mustard was that?
Starting point is 00:14:51 Oh, my God. What kind of mustard was to scoop, Steve? It's a grapeon. Oh, but of course. Fencey. But of course. Still chewing it up. Is it a really hard gummy?
Starting point is 00:15:02 Okay, the sauces are gone. That was the worst part. Okay, the gummy. It kind of tastes like your usual gummy bear. She's back, guys. She's back. All right, finish it off. Eddie, good win. Yeah, thank you, man.
Starting point is 00:15:19 It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Yeah, home it's something good. Guys, this is amazing. There was a flight leaving Long Beach, California, headed to Honolulu, Hawaii. and when the passengers got on there, every single one of them found a ukulele on their seat. And when the flight took off,
Starting point is 00:15:39 the flight attendant gets on there and says, guys, grab your ukuleles, it's time to learn how to play. And they all learn how to play the ukulele on the flight to Hawaii. Yes. It's a cute story. However, I've flown to Hawaii before.
Starting point is 00:15:51 For American Idol, they flew us down there to work a couple times. Six hours? No, not. Oh, well, from California. Sure. Yeah. Oh, you flew from Tennessee. Yeah, I was 11 hours.
Starting point is 00:15:58 Oh, boy. And I just wanted to sleep. And you're never, fully going to be able to sleep. Wait, wait, Ray, put that music back up, man. We need the vibe. You know what? Yeah, it's a good point.
Starting point is 00:16:07 You're not sleeping, dude. Yes, you are. It's a long flight. Some people want to sleep. And clink, clink, clink, clink. As you're trying to sleep, you might as well give everybody a baby. If there's kids on your two playing with it.
Starting point is 00:16:18 Give everybody a baby. Okay, guys, you're ruining my story. It's a cute story if they take them back. Good question, Amy. Guitar Center partnered with Southwest Airlines, and they provided the ukulele. I'm mad a guitar center then. Come on that flight.
Starting point is 00:16:33 And they give everybody, I don't care for it's a kazoo. I don't care what it is. There's nonstop noise the whole time. That would be funny. You would be upset at this, and I'd be really happy about it. If they would have given it to everybody
Starting point is 00:16:42 the last hour of the flight, that'd have been cool. There you go. Because you're getting ready. You're pumped. All right, everybody, lessons. Hamalea.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Yeah. A bar when you sit down. Oh, that's a good story. Thank you, man. All right, that is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Maybe tell our audience again real quick about your daughter and the donuts.
Starting point is 00:17:00 Well, she and a friend, they went to Dunkin' Donuts when it was closing because they heard that they throw the donuts away. So they thought they would ask to get them for free. And it worked. They did. They got free donuts. That's crazy. It blew my mind. If you go to the store and go, hey, we like to have some free donuts, they go, yeah, take them because we have to throw them away anyway.
Starting point is 00:17:17 I thought they may take them home, too. Yeah. I guess you probably get tired of donuts. Oh, you do. When you work there, you eat them all the time. So Lunchbox is a former Duncan employee, but you didn't know about this because you never closed. Right. We were open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Starting point is 00:17:30 week, never closed, never threw donuts away. So now in-depth report, because lunchbox had to find out if this was true or not. Here we go. Since you're closing, is there any donuts that you want to give away so you know how to throw them away? I wish, but if we do that, the cameras watch and then they like are mad. Oh, because Bobby, I'm reporting live from Dunkin' Donuts, and the rumor on the street is that if you come in at closing and you ask for that, you're supposed to get free donuts.
Starting point is 00:17:54 So you're telling me what? I am telling you that not at this Dunkin' Donuts. Okay, gotcha. Okay, so the rumor that we have heard from other people is not true. Correct. So they are lying when they say they get free donuts. Wow, that is amazing. I didn't think it was true because I used to work at Dunkin. I used to sling donuts, but we never closed.
Starting point is 00:18:18 We were open 24 hours. So we had to come and put this rumor. We had to find out if it was true or false. So you are saying it is false. All right, Bobby. That's it. Back to you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Why did you ask her over now? over again. She said false. I wanted to see if she would stick to her story. I didn't know if I was persistent if she'd be like, okay, okay, we really give them away. I think it has to do with you're an adult man, probably. And you're filming her. Insta shares a kid. And they're like, oh, a kid, let's give him some donuts.
Starting point is 00:18:45 You think that, you know what I think? Someone lied to mom. No, why would she lie? Did you see the donuts, Amy? This story. I didn't. But I have a reason for that. Would you have let her go and buy donuts if she wanted to? Yes, that's what I wanted her to do. Yes. Like, she She has money to buy them, but they got the donuts.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Yeah. Okay, so they don't do it. I think they gave her the donuts because she was a kid. They didn't give you the donuts because you're a man. I mean, she pointed at the cameras and said, see these cameras? They won't be happy. Did you go through the drive-through? Nope.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Okay, this Duncan that she went to is a drive-thru. No, no, no. It has a drive-thru attached to it. Do it again. But you can't drive-through on your bikes. Oh, yeah, you can go up to the window. I'm, okay. Try a little drive-through on your bike and see if they serve you.
Starting point is 00:19:29 kid, it's probably easy. Yes, it's very easy. Morgan Wallens performing this weekend at our I Heart Radio Music Festival. And so I believe that I'll be introing Morgan on stage with, they're telling me, Kristen Cavalari and The Miz. Wait, wait, the Miz. The Miz is going to be there? Who's the Miz?
Starting point is 00:19:44 He's from real world. He has a show on USA. Oh, wait. He's from real world. I only know him because he has a show on USA Network that is on same channel mine's on. And so I would see promotions for it. But I think he's a wrestler. Yes.
Starting point is 00:19:56 Oh, he was on Real World back to New York. Then he became a wrestler. There we go. Oh my goodness. Don't geek out on that. Bobby. No, don't geek. Can you introduce me?
Starting point is 00:20:04 I don't know him. But you're going to be introing with him. So you got to be like, dude, I got a buddy that's a huge fan. Oh my goodness. You can do this for him, right? You have to be cool. I will be so cool. You don't sound so cool.
Starting point is 00:20:16 You're not cool with Johnny Bananas. No one with Johnny Vananas. And I probably won't be with the biz. But if I see him backstage... No, I am. I said I'm going to be cool. No, you didn't. Well, you know the likelihood of you seeing him backstage is high.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Okay, so anyway. Sorry, I didn't mean... Tomorrow night with Morgan Wallen, I'll be introducing him with Kristen Cavalore and the Mizz, who lunchbox is in love with. He is awesome. Other performers are Marin, Luke Combs, Sam Smith, the Black Keys, Pitbull, L.O. Cool, Jay, and a whole bunch more. You can watch tomorrow and Saturday on the CW app or CWTVee.com. The show starts at 10, 9 Central.
Starting point is 00:20:49 And I don't know him. So if it's, if it presents itself, I'll be happy to. But you may be able to meet him without me. If I see him in the hall, man, I'm going to say, What I miss! It's the Mizz! Oh, yeah. You're like what a kid does at wrestling.
Starting point is 00:21:03 I know, but it's like seeing him for the first time in person. That's legit. But you only like him because of real world. Yeah. I mean, I watched him a little bit when he isn't wrestling, but yeah, all because of real world. And the thing is, we all have to be together, and I'm with Lunchbox a lot backstage, and this happens with a lot of celebrities, and it's so embarrassing. I walk away, like I don't know him.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Yeah. Like, last year we were in the lobby, and who'd we see? In the hotel lobby, getting off the elevator, and it was half. The dancer, the brother. Derek Huff. And he starts getting on his camera and talking about Derek. And I just have to, and we're about to get into an Uber together, but I just walk away because I'm like, I don't know this person. He is loud and it's a bit embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Yes, it's like just be cool. Because you can also just be like, hey, man, big fan or say nothing or just take a quick picture or something as they're walking by or hey, can I get a picture? Because Derek Huff's really nice. But yeah, when you're like pulling it out and holding it in front of their face, like a paparazzi that Kanye slaps the camera out of, like that is embarrassing. Derek. Derek. Hey, that's what people are here for, man. They want to see that kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:22:04 It's a Bobby Bones show interview. In case you didn't know. He came in last week. He talked about valeting cars when he first moved to Nashville. His name is Mitchell Tenpenny. He valeted for Tim McGraw. He valeted for Martina McBride. Great stories.
Starting point is 00:22:18 But when he came in, his voice was kind of shot. And he was going to sing through it. And I was like, dude, don't blow your voice out anymore. Just come back. Well, he's back. He's got two number ones, drunk me and truth about you. His new album, This Is the Heavy, is out now. And here we go with Mitchell Tenpenny.
Starting point is 00:22:34 On the Bobby Bone Show now. Mitchell Ten Penny. He's back. He's back. We knew you back. How's the voice? Good. I mean, I'd say 92%.
Starting point is 00:22:43 We're almost there. So I'm happy to be back, man. Do we need to wait 8% more? No, no, no, no. We live on 90% of these days, man. I'm glad you're back. I'm glad you're healthy. Thank you, man.
Starting point is 00:22:53 I feel way better. So I appreciate it. Did you listen or watch back your interview? I did not. I did not hear it. I was resting most of the time. I need you to sleep and rest. I need to focus on just getting back here. I'll tell you, A plus interview, the people loved it. They were like, we like Mitchell Tenpenny.
Starting point is 00:23:08 They were like, we're like, yes. Thank you, Bob. Thanks for doing that. So his voice was out, and now he's going to perform for us here. His first song he's going to do is Whitney Houston. I'll always love you. We line up one impossible song to sing after another. Mitchell Tenpenny is here. And again, I hope you guys check out this is the heavy. We talked about it last week.
Starting point is 00:23:26 It's a new record that's out. I saw that you have over a billion streams, like in general. Yeah, man, they surprised me with one of those parties. That was insane. I had no idea. How many of those billion is just you letting it repeat at your house? Every day, man. Just turn it on and let it go.
Starting point is 00:23:40 The pre-i iPhones just going at all the time. I would not be better than that. You are better than that? I am not better than that. So you can check out Mitchell on the Raised Up Right tour all the way up until end of October. And you can also check them out on this is the heavy 2023 tour, January, February, and you go to Mitchell's socials or site and check that out.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Hey, I saw you have a tattoo of a chicken with a gun. Was that real? Yeah, dude. Oh, you do have a tattoo of a chicken with a gun in his hand? Did you see Wallace and Gremant growing up? Yes. Yeah, remember the little rooster that robbed the train? So you have that?
Starting point is 00:24:12 Yeah, it scared me as a child, and so I wanted to put something that scared me. You wanted to face your fear about putting a chicken with a gun on your shoulder. Wow. Yeah. I saw that on his Instagram, and I forgot to bring it up last week. And then I also saw that you hung out with T-Pain? Yeah, for a little bit. at the Vikings game.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Yeah. And what was T. Payne like? He was super nice, man. You know, I'm obviously a massive fan of everything he's done and produced. So that's the first time I ever got to meet him. And he was so nice. And then they put Truth About You up on the, like, speakers. And he was singing it.
Starting point is 00:24:39 And I was like, in shock. I was like, blowing away. It's all, auto, too. Yeah, auto, too. That would be sick. Mitchell, 10penny.com. But go to Mitchell, the number 10penny.com. And you can go watch Mitchell live, as you can see here.
Starting point is 00:24:52 And here, he's awesome live. and man, great job. I'm glad you got to come in. The people have been waiting for a year. This was like Kanye's new album. People just keep waiting. They keep going, it's going to happen. And then it never does.
Starting point is 00:25:03 And then finally you come in. There he is. You guys, check him out. Check out the new record. Mitchell Tenpenny, everybody. This is the voicemail we got last night. This is lunchbox on the voicemail. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Keep that go. Oh. Was he listening as he called? You love that. Is he right in it? All right. Number two, Jim from Oatfield, Oregon. Bobby bones, real quick.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Barbecue. Barbecue. I think that's a good name for a country Barbie. I have a Barbie on my desk, but it's a Arkansas Razorback Cheerleader Barbie from 1996 that I opened the package and everybody flipped out. And instead of somebody named her, I'd give him a prize. I didn't see a name yet that I've fallen in love with. You know, like Barbie? Yeah, what do you think about barbecue?
Starting point is 00:25:54 She needs to have like some utensils in her hand. Yeah. Or you grill her. Yeah. No, I don't want to grill her. Excuse me? What the heck? Jeffrey Dahmer. All right. Here is Clint from Mississippi. Just wondering why Clint was the go-to word for all the shady guys. I heard it today in the story about the guy running away from the cop.
Starting point is 00:26:14 Not upset or anything. I just think it's funny. Just wonder why he came up with Clint. No idea. Just random. Just random. Sometimes names come at me. I might have been thinking about. Clint Black earlier. And then it just popped into my head or singing a Clint Black song. How many other Clints are there, though? Clint Eastwood. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Clint Black. Clint. Colt. That's someone I went to high school with. Yeah, we don't know here. I don't know. I'm sorry, Clinton, Mississippi. I don't know why I picked your name there.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Here's Amy's pile of stories. People are online sharing life hacks that they learned later in life. And one of them, I just learned by reading the article. Okay. Because I had no idea how to make the degree symbol show up. Like a little circle that's higher, like the small circle? If you were trying to give the temperature outside or something and you wanted to type it, how do you put the degree? Well, if you have an iPhone, you hold down the zero button and then the degree symbol will pop up and you select it.
Starting point is 00:27:07 Let me send this to Eddie and see if it works. Okay, you're testing it out. Yep. Okay, here we go. And then hold zero down. Hold it. Oh, there it is. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Hold on. Hold on. Boom. Then you have to go up and send. Okay, Eddie, do you have your phone? I have it right here. My favorite band is 98 degrees. What up?
Starting point is 00:27:24 I do you cherish you? We all learned something from that. And then someone else shared that for dusting things like baseboards and windowsills and picture frames, the best tool is a clean paintbrush. You know, a lot of people use cloth or t-shirt or rag and it can get really messy. But this person said they just get cheap two-inch paint brushes exclusively for dusting. It's the best way to get those areas. And really good for cobwebs.
Starting point is 00:27:50 I'm not interested in that one. You're not testing? Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to go by paint brushes. I already have some dusting stuff, so I'm not worried about that. Okay, just didn't know if you really cleaned your baseball boards. No, by the way, I don't. Then someone said after taking a shower, they learned you could dry yourself off inside the shower
Starting point is 00:28:04 that way you don't get your floors wet. I'd dry off in the shower. Yeah, me too. You do? I get my floor's wet. I put on all my clothes while still under the water just to save time. Really? And then I dry out as I drive to work. Just, you know, efficiency.
Starting point is 00:28:17 All right, what else? People in California will be able to use a burial method called human composting starting in 2027. California is joining Washington, Colorado, Oregon, Vermont in allowing human composting. And if you're not familiar with what that is, I'm not. Well, we've talked about it before,
Starting point is 00:28:35 but it's been a minute, and you probably blocked it out because you're disgusted by it. But I would be open to this. This is where you let your body naturally decompose and it turns into soil that can, you know, trees can be planted from you. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:28:47 I have to let my body naturally decompose. Now, you guys could make me not by burying me, burning me. You have no control of that. But I have no control. My body will just, I will let myself decompose unless you guys ruin it for me. But I don't want to be it. You don't want to be a part of like turned into soil to where you can create new things. I just struggle with it thinking about dying.
Starting point is 00:29:08 I'll be honest with you. I don't know that's ever going to happen to me. It's not weird that your body would be like the dirt under my tree. All of our everything is everywhere. Hey, Eddie, listen to this. All of our everything is everywhere. Whoa. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Well, but you could be put in a box and in a ground and contained there. We're all just dust in the wind. Hey, that's a jam. Do you have in your will what you want to happen to you? Like cremated or? I don't care. I'm dead. What am I going to care?
Starting point is 00:29:37 Make me a tree. No, no, you'd be the soil in the tree. Not the tree. All right, what else, Amy? Blake Shelton was on the Kelly Clarkson show and they talked about stuff like the voice and his clothing deal with Lanzin. And then Kelly Joel. joined him for an unplugged version of his first big hit, Austin.
Starting point is 00:29:54 I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. His name's Bill Adams. He was headed home to Tennessee with a tour bus. He just bought in Vermont.
Starting point is 00:30:11 And he spotted 50 tourists stranded on the side of the road in Ohio. There a tour bus had broken... He bought a tour bus. He's driving by a group of tour bus. The buses have broken down. They have been standing out in the heat for more than an hour. So he was like, well, let me pull over and see what's up. He learned that the tourists were headed to see a performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville
Starting point is 00:30:32 and that he would drive pretty close to there on his way home. So he said, get in. I love it. That's crazy. Thanks to Bill, the Canadians were able to make it to their show on time. The original bus driver was able to get the repairs on his bus done. And the tourist vacation was hardly interrupted at all. Bill says the motor coach industry is sort of a brotherhood
Starting point is 00:30:52 and he was happy to stop and give these broken down tours. That's hilarious. This was meant to be. Yeah. It doesn't even sound real. And he had to go like, this is a joke? Right. There's a broken down tour.
Starting point is 00:31:04 That's funny. He says it was just meant to be. We were put in that situation and given that privilege to help. That's pretty cool story. Hey, Bill Adams, I don't know if you listen to the show. You might. You're pretty cool, man. That is what it's all about.
