Well, this is pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:03:13 One of our old interns, whose career in music is really starting to blossom, is on a show on MTV. It's called Becoming a Pop Star. It's on tonight at 9 p.m. Central. Her name is Lexi Hayden. Lexi, good morning.
Starting point is 00:03:29 How are you? Hi, good morning, Bobby. I'm good. How are you? Are you trying to be a pop star? Or are you trying to be a country? or is that just the name of the show and there's all kinds of music on there? It's the name of the show. I am the only country singer on the show.
Starting point is 00:03:43 I will say that. So how did you get on this show? Because it's Joe Jonas, Becky G. What was the kind of the protocol for getting on this show specifically? So I was discovered on TikTok. They wanted to represent all genres. But I ended up being the only national artist on the show, which was really cool. And it was actually, it had a different name when they were casting me.
Starting point is 00:04:09 It was called like the MTV Music Video Project. So I never thought it was going to be called becoming a pop star. Which makes sense because she's trying to be a country store. I want to hear a clip of her new song right here. What's the name of this song, Lexie? It's called Pretty Damn Close. Okay, here's a clip of Lexie Hayden in her new song. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:05:01 That's awesome. Okay, so she's on the show tonight. Now, how do you win this thing? Do we vote or do you just go and perform and they pick you? So the judges keep, you know, the contestants every week. So it's already pre-recorded. Like, I've filmed it all in L.A. But there is an element of fan voting every week after the episode
Starting point is 00:05:21 where you can vote for your favorite video song and the winner each week gets $10,000 from Pepsi. Oh, wow. Have you won any weeks yet? I find out literally today if I won the first episode. Oh, okay. Let's go vote. Well, the voting closed from this past week.
Starting point is 00:05:40 The new episode tonight at 9 p.m. Central, and they will be voting right after the episode is over, and the voting window is open for five days. You can vote for my video. Wow. Okay. Well, there she has Lexie Hayden, who she was an intern back in 2014, which feels like age. We were all kids. She's open for the raging idiots, which is her biggest musical influence.
Starting point is 00:06:01 For sure. According to me, in the notes that I've made. So, okay, well, we're proud of you. Let us, and we'll keep up with it. Now I'm curious about what the show is even about. So we'll keep up with you. Well, go ahead. I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I'm excited about it. And thank you guys. Obviously, I've been keeping up with Amy because I've been watching her animals. All right, Lexi, good luck. And we will talk to you. You don't know if you won, though, right? Or are you keeping it? I can't tell you.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Okay. But I love that this also paints the picture of like the hustle is real. Like she's on a TV show on MTV, but she takes care of pets and she works really hard. And Lexi, I can tell my animals, they're better for being with you. Did you know Lexi wrote? I love your apples. Priscilla Block song, My Bar. So she's also writing like, that's cool.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Lex's killing it. And what's funny when she signed on to the show as an intern back in 2014, she signed a contract. I get 11% of everything she does. The next 20 years. Wow. Cool. 11% is such a funny number. 11%.
Starting point is 00:07:08 I got you. I got you. All right, Lexi, talk to you soon. Bye, guys. All right, bye-bye. There she is. Our old intern, Lexie Hayden, who is on the show, and I hope she wins, and that would be really cool.
Starting point is 00:07:20 It's time to open up the mailbag. You send an email, and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby. Oh, Bobby. My wife and I had to find a new tax person this year because we opened up a small business. After meeting with several people, we decided on a CPA who happens to live in our neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:07:41 He just sent us to finish return to review, and he had us getting back a lot more than I thought we would. I looked into it and noticed he had missed over $33,000 in income that would have put us into a higher tax bracket. He also miscalculated my business's total income. Thankfully, I caught up before he filed. I'm hoping he will fix it. I haven't heard back from him yet. I went on Google to leave him a negative review. Oh.
Starting point is 00:08:05 But I'm not sure since he lives in our neighborhood. My question is, when is it okay to leave a negative review for someone on Google? I don't want to hurt another small business, but messing up several major things like this, seems like it would be an appropriate time to leave a bad review. What would you do? Seth from Central Texas. So here's my theory on bad reviews. Oh, Seth.
Starting point is 00:08:25 You shouldn't leave one because you're emotional. If you leave one, it is because what happened to you could actually hurt someone else. I think it almost needs to be a pattern as well. This guy could have had a bad day. He messed up. He really messed up. That's terrible. We've all messed up.
Starting point is 00:08:46 I got fined a million dollars once on the air. And I hope that that's not the one thing I'm reviewed on. This is bad. But we all can admit that. It's a bad thing. It's a good thing. But I would have a good thing. But I would also imagine that sometimes accountants mess up and this happens and it doesn't mean there.
Starting point is 00:09:02 So I would not leave a negative review unless he reacted poorly to you going, hey, I caught this. But one instance that isn't positive, I would not leave a bad review. And I think that's all of it. That's all I need to say about this. I wouldn't allow this. Even though it wasn't good for you, we don't know that this wasn't a one-off. And I don't think he should try to take his business down because of it. Does that have anything to do with like being a neighbor?
Starting point is 00:09:26 I mean, he's right there down the street. No. Nope. I think that comes into play if you do leave the review. Okay. Because you have to put your name or at least your account unless you get a bad. That could be terrible. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:39 I'm going to go, don't leave a negative review. Let's give him some grace and just move on and I hire him again. Yeah. Like next year, you know not to use him for your taxes. Move on. And if someone asks you, how was your experience with him? You can say, not great. Yeah, you can't.
Starting point is 00:09:54 Negative review people, I guess, if it's, yeah. If it's warranted, but like if you didn't have a good experience, then you just don't hire them. You don't need to put the weight on your shoulders to tell the rest of the world not to use someone for services. Somebody got negative reviews on our podcast called Four Things Amy Brown. Yeah. That's where it's coming from. And ever since we talked about it, I've gotten nice reviews, but then also more one stars because they're like, oh, lunchbox for life, one star. And I'm like, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Starting point is 00:10:25 But where did you get the positive ones? I did get positive ones. From who? From other lunchbox. Thank you. She only told you the negative. No. No.
Starting point is 00:10:33 I just said, no. Okay. Hey, buddy. We're losing the track. Don't leave a bad review. No. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Don't be a bad review person. Your job. Show them some grace. Yeah. Thank you. Morgan, if people want to email us, what do they do? Mailbag at bobbybones.com. There you go.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Thank you. Close it up. We've got your email and we read it on your air. Now it's about the close. Bobby's mailback. Yeah. Hey Bobby here. You like options, right?
Starting point is 00:11:01 With the flexible payment options at the general insurance, you can choose your payment date and choose how you pay. They accept cash, card, and check. Call 800 General or visit the general.orgianor.com for a quote today. The General Auto Insurance Services Inc.
Starting point is 00:11:13 An insurance agency, Nashville, Tennessee, some restrictions apply. So your son wants a job? Yes, he really wants to work. Someone from his school, he realized, we were at Publix, and we ran into this kid that he goes to school with,
Starting point is 00:11:24 and the kid was there working, And Stevenson was like, well, where do I apply? I need this job. Publix is a grocery store chain where we live. Right. But Stevenson's 11? He's 11. He'll be 12 in August.
Starting point is 00:11:35 And this kid is 14. How old do you have to be to work? 14. Found out that day. Oh, I thought it was 15. Yeah. Well, this kid's, I don't know. Maybe this kid got special circumstances.
Starting point is 00:11:44 I have no idea. But he said he works two hours during the week days. Like if he has this to school day, two hour shifts. Weekends, seven hour shifts. And I'm like... That kid's got money. Good for him. Well, he said.
Starting point is 00:11:56 All I'm thinking about as a mom is like your kid's busy for seven hours, gone out of the house, Andy's making money. Sounds like a dream. What'd you tell your son? Well, obviously we need to wait until you can apply, but if you can find somewhere else to work, let's do it. So he's going to have to work, like I used to have to work. You have to go and beg people just to hire you to do jobs. Right.
Starting point is 00:12:15 It has to be off the record. There's no legally like, it has to be like. Well, off the record sounds shady. Yeah, it does. When you go door to door and say, Hey, can I mow your yard? Yeah. And we've thought about in my neighborhood, let me tell you, people near us, they have a very, like,
Starting point is 00:12:32 I feel like our yard gets judged. Like, my neighbors have high standards for their yard. So I'm like, I don't know that that's going to work out. So I don't know. Does anybody here have anything they need to hire him for? Seven hours on a Saturday. I don't have seven hours of work. He's available.
Starting point is 00:12:48 But it's good he's learning. He's all about it. He can work, money. Yes. DeSheera, she is 14. And once she drives, she's already, like, asked this one clothing store that's close to our house. She's already asked for, like, how old she has to be to work there? And she's ready to get a job as well.
Starting point is 00:13:05 I can probably find him a couple hours of work on the weekend if you want me to. Okay. I do want you to. Okay. Let me work on that. It's just a value of money. Like, Eddie's kids are dealing with this now where it comes to when you buy them stuff at Sonic, right? They're learning the value of the dollar.
Starting point is 00:13:20 I mean, you know, parenting's a lesson. So I pick him up probably two or three times a week. from school and almost every day they say, hey, can we go to Sonic Dad? Because I guess their mom does that. So I'm like, look, no, guys, no. We don't want to spend money today. And then my 8-year-old goes, I'll pay for it. Well, okay, now you're talking.
Starting point is 00:13:39 So then everyone else in the car agrees. Fine, I'll pay for it with my own money. All right, let's go to Sonic. Hey, you all pay for everybody. No, no, no. They're all paying for their own. They each agree to pay for their own. So we go and we order, hit the red button.
Starting point is 00:13:49 All right, what do you guys want? All of a sudden they started asking for prices. Whoa, whoa, dad. How much is the small one versus the large? That's right. Now you're talking. So they all ordered the small version of what they initially wanted. One of them wanted a burger. They're like, I'll change it to just tater tots dad. Just give me the little tater tots. And so they got their order. They ate their food. The next day I pick them up from school, I'm like, anybody want to go to Sonic? They're like, nah, we're good. We're good, dad.
Starting point is 00:14:13 That's awesome. That was cool to me. Did they treasure every bite in those small? Absolutely. They drank every bit of that drink. That's a good learning lesson. They bought their own Sonic. Are you going to make them do that more or like once what's the plan now? No, I think, I mean I will treat them mostly to Sonic. I'll pay for it. But if there's like, you know, one of those weeks where it's like three times they want to go,
Starting point is 00:14:34 uh-uh, you want to go, you buy your own. That's pretty good. Let's see how it goes. My kids are trying to understand tax. Because I said, if you get a job at a place, like if you get allowance for something, like we don't tax it. I'm trying to understand that too. Right. But if you could teach me that I'm struggling with that. I wasn't. Me too.
Starting point is 00:14:51 But I started to wonder, like, Like if they get paid a certain amount, should we just go ahead and be like, okay, here's what you made, but actually here's your take home? No, not if it's... But they need to learn. I'm with Eddie. They should charge them rent to then. I do need them to be prepared. Like, I'm with Eddie.
Starting point is 00:15:06 It's hard. I think the first lesson, though, is making money and how much you actually don't have, even when you have it. The second lesson is taxes. Let's teach let's, like I'm part of this. You are. Let's teach them first about how far a dollar won't go. I know. And then after that,
Starting point is 00:15:22 Even less once it's taxed. Everything for them is like already, credit cards already entered in on the account and they just order it or they see plastic. And they have no concept of actually how much money is. So like somehow I need to, I'm glad we're having this conversation. Oh, I am inspired, Amy. Me too. Like I'm going to go home and tell my son you need to find a job today. Oh, crap.
Starting point is 00:15:44 Yeah. And Bobby, when you hire Stevenson to come work, tax him. No. I get the tax. and then fire in bones, so he knows what that's like. And then make him go send in the unemployment line that you create upstairs. It's a whole situation. We'll teach him all the things.
Starting point is 00:15:59 The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30 second skinny. Congratulations to Parker McCollum and his wife, Hallie Ray Light. They got married over the weekend in Texas. Miranda Lambert announced a Las Vegas residency called Velvet Rodeo happening this fall. Her residency will be at Planet Hollywood's Zappos Theater, Tickets go on sale April 7th. Carrie Underwood was just announced as one of the performers for the Grammys.
Starting point is 00:16:28 The show airs this Sunday, April 3rd on CBS. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So I want to shout out to Leon High School in Tallahassee, because they just wrap something that I think a lot of other schools should start doing.
Starting point is 00:16:47 They have positively Post-It Week, and it's something that they do annually, where students like just put up fluorescent post-its all over the school with positive messages. Like, you are smart. You're awesome. You're beautiful. Some like kind of light like that. Some a little bit more deep and meaningful. And so they said it's just a great way to encourage the entire school.
Starting point is 00:17:08 And like I said, that week just wrapped up. And their hope is by spreading the word that other schools will adopt this. Love it. And I love the fact that there's so much positivity happening. What I hate is for the custodian who's like, I got to clean up so many post-its over the next week. Hopefully all the kids gather together and they pick up all the posts. You would think, right? But you know some of them aren't.
Starting point is 00:17:27 You know there's the occasional kick me that goes on somebody's bag. Oh, no. The joke that never dies is the kick me sign on someone's back. That's a great story. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. All right, Amy versus Lunchbox. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Amy, your first question, What city will the final four be played on Saturday? Now, these are questions that Lunchbox will know the answer to, so we're asking you. I know. And if you miss it, he gets to steal. What city will the final four be played on Saturday? Now, I was going to go. I know.
Starting point is 00:18:02 I wish I would have been paying more attention, like, if you were going to go. I feel like, I was going to go hang out with Eric Church. He told me he was going to cancel some shows. That's why I'm thinking North Carolina, but that's the state. I know if I think of the city, like maybe would they hold the final four where one of the teams is from? or did they have to go to some obscure place that's like not home court for anybody? Houston. Houston's a good guess.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Next year, that's where it is. Oh, wow. So close. It is not this year. Lunchbox. New Orleans. New Orleans, Louisiana. They don't have it at a home site.
Starting point is 00:18:35 So close. Hop in the car, drive there. Cool. From Houston. Amy, what sport does Kyrie Irving play? We're talking about basketball. She's doing a lot of grunt. It's making me think basketball, but then I feel like it's got to be football because that's like a trick.
Starting point is 00:18:53 Tyree Irving. What sport? Football. That's incorrect. What is it? Lunchbox. Basketball. So it was what I thought.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Okay. Amy, what was the original color for all Ferrari models? I don't know. Red or yellow. Red or yellow. Yellow or red. Yellow or red. I feel like Ferrari's meant to be flashy.
Starting point is 00:19:16 They like the yellow. So I'm going to go. The original color was mint. to be yellow. That's incorrect. The original color for all Ferrari models, lunchbox? Red. Correct.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Oh, jeez. You're right there again. I just was really close to a lot today. He got three. He got all three. I was three for three close. You're O for three, right. Lunchbox, you just have to get one of these.
Starting point is 00:19:40 All right. Okay. What do you call a single diamond set alone in a ring? An engagement ring? a Princess Cut Wow, that's incorrect That's close
Starting point is 00:20:00 Amy, what do you call a single diamond Set alone in a ring? Solitaire. That is correct. Oh, Solitaire alone, single, duh, I was close. No. You can't just go your close case.
Starting point is 00:20:11 If you miss it, you miss it. Okay, all right. Amy, Passion. That's him. Oh, sorry. Lunchbox Passion in 1987 and White Diamonds in 1991 were two creations.
Starting point is 00:20:22 From Elizabeth Taylor's famous line of what? Perfume. That's correct. You know that very quickly. Wow. Too quickly. Is that what you wore as a child? That girl's known for.
Starting point is 00:20:34 That girl, she's an actress. She's known for way more. Fragrance is actually probably one of the smaller things she did. I see the Elizabeth Taylor perfume. She's like dynasty, right? Later on her. Michael Jackson's best friend. That is, lunchbox she won.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Yeah. Quick win, quick, easy wins. Well, our listeners just heard it. Lunchbox, go through puberty again. That's the crack. Lunchbox, the third question that you did not get to answer, would you like to hear it? Oh, yes, I would, please. What part of your body would you use a volumizer?
Starting point is 00:21:16 Volume, volume. That's your bangs. I'm not going to accept bangs. You're going to go with bangs? Yeah, it's your hair. You've got to put volume in your bangs getting popped up. Hair would have been the right answer, not just bangs, but you want anyway. I thought you wanted me to be specific.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Yeah, yeah. The bangs are hairy. You just spit everywhere. This woman has so many shoes show up to her house that she didn't buy and they're all really, really tacky. Unwanted shoes started showing up on her doorstep last summer. And it doesn't stop. And it's getting, it's, it's absurdity. There are white go-go boots, velvet stilettos, pink combat boots, and more.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Wouldn't it be nice if they ship size 11 Birkenstocks? As funny as this is, why is it so frustrating? I am frustrated with this situation because it keeps repeating itself, but it's also just frustrating on a customer service level when you're dealing with giant corporations that you can't really get the customer service that you that you need to solve a problem. So this lady's getting tacky shoes sent to her house over and over and over again. That's from ABC 7 News Chicago. So the other story I read too was this woman had bought a bunch stuff for like a buck at a where they open up the door and there's like you can buy all,
Starting point is 00:22:28 like a garage hunting. What do they call that? Storage wars. But yeah, this is unout open packages that can't be delivered because the address is long, people don't live there. Bottom all. So she buys them for a dollar. She gets a gift card. She gets camera. She gets clothes.
Starting point is 00:22:42 That's a show. I want to do that. Some of it's junk. But a lot of it, she pays a dollar each box, and she gets $100 gift card, this, and then she sells everything. That's a show. Where do we go get these boxes? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:52 For a dollar. Well, if everybody starts doing it, it'll all be garbage then. But all this stuff is being sent. It just reminds me of the story where Amy had stuff sent to her house that she just moved. I'll tell you that story coming up in a second. Amy had something sent to her house a few times. And she was like, nope, I'm moving. So that story, and then why Amy's being called a creep on the internet as well.
Starting point is 00:23:10 In the next segment, we'll do those two things. A woman in Illinois says more than 15 pairs of really, really tacky shoes have been sent to her house over the past year. This reminds me when Amy was having pizzas delivered her house. You didn't order them. No. It kept being sent to your house. Yes. It was so creepy to you that you moved.
Starting point is 00:23:29 Yeah, like, because they were under my name. You moved. They were paid for. That's so creepy. She moved. Yeah. And we don't know who sent the pizzas. We still think it was lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:23:40 And now he won't admit it because she moved her house. Yeah, I mean, it completely changed the trajectory of my life. Life. My living situation. All over some pepperoni pizza. Let me ask this question. Oh, no one said it was pepperoni. What kind of pizzas were they?
Starting point is 00:23:58 What kind of pizzas were they? They were a variety. They changed. Even they changed locations, like or type of. Pizza place. Sometimes it was Papa John's. That's got to be lunchbox. That's got to be you. It doesn't have to be me. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:12 There's a lot of people in this world. Whenever this show ends, whenever it is, whenever we're doing our last show. So probably about six months. Possibly. What? Will you tell the truth about this on our last show? 100%. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Was it you? Not before then. He says it wasn't, but he promises he will tell that. He may just come back on the very last show we ever do and go, it still wasn't me. But do I have your word that on the very last show, you will spill on if it was really you or not? Mama Mia, Papa Pia, pizza, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:47 I was trying to know. So anyway, that was creepy, right? Yes. We can admit that you left your house because it was creepy. Now, just to kind of turn it around a little bit, Amy's now been accused of being creepy on the internet. Uh-oh. With some dude was like,
Starting point is 00:24:58 so tell the story what you were selling. Yeah, so I've been selling a lot of things on Facebook Marketplace is actually kind of awesome. and I have this rug up and a guy replied and he was asking for more pictures and I was talking to another friend about how you can like video chat on through this so I thought the pictures were not doing the rug justice and I want to sell it for a certain amount and so I thought if I videoed it and explained things I live video not sent a video you're like video chat only fans like me's starting her only fans like FaceTime but through the Facebook like the video chat so I was like
Starting point is 00:25:31 hey, we could video chat and I could show you and explain and like even you could see actually what it's like and compare to other things. And he was creeped out by it and said that he thought videoing with me would be inappropriate and photos were just fine. And he made me feel like such a creepster. And I feel like I didn't do anything wrong. But then I like all night I was like, am I creep? I was not trying to just video with him for no reason. but he, quote unquote, found it inappropriate. Did you see his picture from?
Starting point is 00:26:05 I have no idea what he. No, I wasn't trying to video with him for any other reason that I'm trying to sell this rug. I just thought either, I thought originally FaceTime, but then I would have to exchange numbers with him. And to me, that felt creepy. So I was trying not to be creepy and say we can do it through the app. Oh, okay. Yeah. A lot of ways to do that, huh? You know what I'm saying, boys?
Starting point is 00:26:25 That's funny you got called inappropriate by some dude on Facebook. Yeah. I like this because now you know what it's like to be a guy. and I always think that you're being creepy. When there's nothing happening. Correct. Yeah. Like I thought if roles were reversed,
Starting point is 00:26:38 that for sure if a guy asked me to video chat to look at a rug, I'd be like, okay, creepy person, but I know that I'm not being creepy. And so does Eddie. He knows he's not being creepy. Me too. I'm never creepy. That's not true.
Starting point is 00:26:53 So you haven't sold the rug yet? No. I bet if you got on video and did, you can sell a little. I know what I'm saying? Introducing the first ever Hyundai Ionic 5. This thing has all the tech you would ever want. It's fully electric inside and out.
Starting point is 00:27:07 Your journey at its most evolved. The Hyundai Ionic 5, extremely limited availability. Available in select states only. Contact your Hyundai dealer for availability to tell. Here's a voicemail from last night. Morning studio. It's been a little while since we've done a draft, so I was going to give a couple draft ideas.
Starting point is 00:27:25 The first one would be the best fruit going off of Friday's show. and then another one could be famous bald people in memory of Scuba's hair and most of Eddie's hair. All right, peace. He suggested a bit and took shots. He did. Got to love it.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Have we ever done ball people before, Mike? That's a good one. Bald people? Yeah, our favorite bald people. I appreciate that. You guys can call us even if we're not on the air. Same number as when we are. 877-77 Bobby.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Thank you for the voicemails. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So an increasing number of young girls have been diagnosed with functional neurological disorders from TikTok. And when I read this article, it just makes me worry about you, Bobby. Oh. He's not a young girl. I did not know that's where this was going. But what's the disorder?
Starting point is 00:28:18 Well, they're developing ticks. That's an example of a neurological disorder that is coming from being on the app too much. It's prolonged use of social media and TikTok. I'm not on TikTok a whole lot. I look at it every day. I don't do really talks anymore. Diggy, d'agie. You're going through a tick now.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Oh, no. It's happening because I'm talking about it. I think if you do anything too much, especially in the digital space, you will have little ticks. I think sometimes when I look at the computer or the phone too long, I do this. Do you ever see me do this just sitting over here?
Starting point is 00:28:48 Yes. Like I close my eyes really hard. It's like, oh, I've got to readjit. I have to recalibrate my face and brain. That's what that is. That might be that right there. Yeah. All the other young girls are going through it.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Exactly. That's why I wanted to bring this to your attention. So Netflix has a new dating series called The Ultimatum. It's coming out April 6th. And it features a couple. And one of them really wants to get married and another one isn't so sure about it. So they're going on the show and it's the ultimatum. They're going to decide if they're going to stay together or get married.
Starting point is 00:29:21 It made me think of like Eddie and Ray because they were with their wives. I'm pretty sure they got ultimatums. Yeah, I did for sure. 100%. Yeah, we were doing this before. It was cool. Yeah. I could have been on the show.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Your wife told you what? We were dating about six years and she's like, hey, we're not going to get married. We should probably move on and you got to make that decision. How quickly did you make that decision? Fast over the weekend. Ramundo, you're with your wife for how long? Six years it was total, yeah, that we were dating. And she said what to you?
Starting point is 00:29:47 In June, you need to make up your mind if you want to propose. And then June passed and then another June came and then I did it in December. What? Just a tester? She didn't enforce that whole tomato. No. I wonder if they would have. gone on this TV show how it would have ended up.
Starting point is 00:30:01 I don't think Eddie and his wife would have gone on the show because Eddie's wife's kind of like mine. They don't want anything to do with TV or cameras. No cameras. I think Ray and Bay, though, they both, they love that. I think you guys want to want to crush the show. Yeah, it should be down. And then had a spinoff. Ultimately, ever after. So this is from the same creators of Love is Blind. So Nick and Vanessa Lichet are hosting this show as well. Again, I think eight episodes are dropping on April 6th. So Kelsey Ballerine, posted on TikTok how she had to ask herself if she's okay based on what helps make her feel relaxed. The other day I was doing this interview and she was asking me questions in like rapid fire style.
Starting point is 00:30:40 And she said, what do you do to chill out to calm down? And I said, I listened to crime junkie and I watched Dexter. No, she is a, is she 30 yet? Yeah. Is she? Like I said, women, youngish women love murders for some reason. I know. She's very, she's like a basic. Both of those are murders. I agree with this. How old is she, Mike?
Starting point is 00:31:02 Oh, she's 28. She'd probably kill me if I said she was 30. But you know what? That's showbiz, baby. Are you that it, Amy? I'm Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:31:12 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay home is something good. Johnny's Tavern in Lawrence, Kansas, where the University of Kansas is located is all excited. Kansas is playing in March Madness. The bar is packed. And that's when cereal tipper. showed up and gave them
Starting point is 00:31:30 $60,000 for all the staff. What? And tips? Wait, a group or one person? One person, Lexi Burke, she's a TikTok star. She usually crowd funds them on her TikTok and she gave everybody $60,000. So they split it all amongst the employees. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:31:47 I want to be a serial tipper. That makes sense. This is like her thing and it's crowd sort. It's like not one person like she earned it. Earned it. Beg for it on TikTok and gave it away. But people gave it to everybody in the bar For the wait staff, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:32:00 I waited tables, a lot of my life. Are you kidding? Never got a tip more than maybe 60 or 70 bucks, and that was a massive one. I can't imagine somebody coming in and you get like a thousand bucks. And then they also paid off the bar tab for everybody that was in the restaurant. Wow. Love it. Yes.
Starting point is 00:32:18 She needs to put a list of all the people that donated out. Yeah, every single person. Is she getting all the credit for this? That's great. Love it for the bar staff. And here's the bar staff saying, you know, how much they appreciate it. The money is awesome. But another thing, I think it just goes to show that as much as, you know, this world can be screwed up,
Starting point is 00:32:35 there still is a lot of good people in this world. I agree with that. All right. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. On the Bobby Bones show now. Pete Holmes. Hey, Pete, big fan of your work just over the year.
Starting point is 00:32:50 So I'll start by saying that. Just love what you do, man. I really appreciate that. Thanks so much. I do want to talk about your new show, which is on tonight on CBS. 930 Eastern. It's also on Paramount Plus. It'll be available to stream live and on demand. Now, in this, and I have a theory about bowling and bowlers in general, you know, the storyline involves, you know, a guy who bowls, but you probably had to bowl a little bit to be believable.
Starting point is 00:33:14 My theory is that if anybody practices enough, they can be a great bowler. Anybody, you don't have to be a great at. If you just practice enough, you can be a pro bowler. What do you think? Well, I can't speak to that. I know that I can get better at bowling in the course of a couple hours because somebody, Robert Smith, who was in the PBA, would, like, adjust me. He'd turn my body this way or had tell me, extend my arm that way. And before I knew it, I was throwing strikes. So I don't know. I will say it's a lot harder than it looks. Yeah, it's hard, but just let's hear what I'm having to say. I can't be in the NBA. I can't. I'm six foot tall, can't really jump,
Starting point is 00:33:53 You know, can only shoot so well. But bowling, I think if I just put in the time, I could be a professional. It's a lot of time. Let me ask you this. Do you feel the same way about archery? No, you got to be a little stronger. They have balls that are six pounds. Are you, yeah?
Starting point is 00:34:10 Are you crazy? My hips would go numb after 10 throws. These balls weigh 10 pounds if you want to have any power to them. I stand by my statement, Pete. I said what I said, and we'll move on from there. No, it would break my heart, Bobby, if you were like, you're right. I want you to stick to your guns. Please don't.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Stay in your lane. Howie Rolls the name of the show. And let's just talk about this for a second. So, again, it premieres tonight. But what is this show about? It's about a guy, a real guy named Tom Smallwood, who gets laid off after many years working in an auto factory. He gets laid off.
Starting point is 00:34:45 And like so many of us coming out of quarantine, I noticed people were wondering, like, how would I change my life if I could? What does my life look like? How would I change it? That's what happens when Tom is laid off. He uses that crisis as an opportunity to reevaluate. And what I love about it is that his family, it's not just him being confident and sure that he can do it. It's his family that says, we think you can do this.
Starting point is 00:35:10 So this story based off this family guy who, you know, goes through some trouble, figures out his new meaning. Do you feel like, and again, I've watched a lot of your work that you relate in a way, because when I watched your series on HBO, it felt like that's kind of what you were doing again, kind of finding your new, your meeting or your calling. Do you feel like there's some, you know, some parallels here? Absolutely. One of my friends, Richard Rohr, this great teacher taught me,
Starting point is 00:35:39 people don't change if their life is working. If things are working, you don't change. We change when things stop working. And in my case, it was a divorce, and that's what threw me into the deep end of stand-up comedy. And in Tom's case, it's getting laid off and that throws him into the deep end of his dream, which is bowling. But like, that's just how we seem to be as human beings.
Starting point is 00:35:59 If it's working, we keep doing it. And when it stops working, that's suffering, but it's also a good opportunity to make a change. So how we roll tonight on CBS. So a lot of writers involved in a show like this and yourself who writes a lot and it's quite funny. Do you have free reign to punch up a joke or try a joke while you guys are shooting? I mean, free reign, sure, it's a very creative environment. Real authority would be like, I would do the joke and then I would be in the edit and I would insist that they use that joke in the edit. It's not my show to that extent.
Starting point is 00:36:35 And that was actually quite a relief for me. Mark Gross, the creator of the show, who's also a wonderful stand-up, I trusted him and I knew I could give him as many options. But if I was doing a scene and I knew we had, you know, we got it the first, take or the second take, the joke as written. I always like to improvise and change it up, if only to make the audience laugh or to make my co-stars laugh. And there's just a certain freshness when you're playing. And that's the kind of tone we want at one set.
Starting point is 00:37:05 So I haven't seen the show. Obviously, it comes out tonight. I'm not cool enough to get a screener. So I'm asking questions here because I haven't seen it. Is it a multi-camera with a studio audience? And if so, how is performing in that arena different for you? when you perform on stage doing stand-up or when you're performing in any of these things that you're doing? Well, I'll say with crashing where there was no audience, a lot of times you were just guessing.
Starting point is 00:37:30 I mean, you might hope to make the camera guys laugh, and oftentimes they would sort of, you'd see their shoulders moving. You couldn't make them laugh. But it's very satisfying and rewarding and helpful to hear that feedback from the audience. And it reminded me of doing stand-up. sometimes I would do I would shoot all day doing how we roll and then I would go out to a club and I noticed that I felt warmed up like I felt like I had been doing stand-up all day because it's similar it's it's hitting a mark under lights telling jokes one's in a comedy club and ones on a television stage your material to me is very positive and I feel safe I'm a clean guy with soap and words. So when I watch, you perform like, okay, like your vibe is my vibe. So do you get people
Starting point is 00:38:19 in the audience that will, like, heckle you, you're not doing material that's really pissing people off, but do you still have people yelling at you and screaming from the, from the tables? Not really. I mean, every once in a while it would happen. Some people just seem to misunderstand what a comedy club experience is. And hecklers, often are people that are just misinformed, meaning they think, they always say the same thing. I thought I was helping.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Like, I thought that was part of the fun. And maybe in 1981, when stand-up was like a real infant in its art form, that might have been more of the, more to the show. But these days, people come out, they want to see the full hour of stand-up that the comedian has prepared, and there's a lot more respect.
Starting point is 00:39:07 But every once in a while, if somebody's blackout drunk, they're blackout drunk. They're going to yell stuff. but these days clubs are pretty good about giving them the boot. I'm going to ask you the question that I'm sure you've been asked 10,000 times as a great comedian. Anyone ever tried to slap you? No, I've never tried.
Starting point is 00:39:23 Nobody's ever tried to slap me. I never felt threatened physically in any way. Sometimes during like photo shoots, I remember people grabbing me. Like they thought it was funny to like, we just talked about how this is a clean show, but they would grab me, let's just say inappropriately, like big biker guys taking photos with me, and they were like, oh, this will be funny. I'll grab them here.
Starting point is 00:39:48 And I'm like, that wasn't my favorite. But I've never been assaulted. That's for sure. Did you feel weird for Chris Rock? You're like, he was telling it. Like, what was your emotion when you saw that and have been able to think about it for a few days? Oh, I haven't been able to think about much else.
Starting point is 00:40:06 I'm shocked at how lingering the image is. and not just for comedians. I think it's funny that comedians, it's what we do for a living. We sort of make it about ourselves. But this was hard for all of us, I think, to see. Seeing somebody gets attacked in that way is triggering. It can even be traumatizing,
Starting point is 00:40:25 depending on what's happened in your life. And I think that's one of the reasons why we keep replaying it. So for me, it was just heartbreaking. The look on Chris's face afterwards, I think we all know what that feels like when something scary happens and we're trying our best to act like it didn't happen, that to me is what can break somebody's spirit, you know, having to put a smile on it.
Starting point is 00:40:49 How We Roll Premiers on CBS Tonight at 930 Eastern. So watch the show, Pete, is wonderfully funny. And the last question that I will ask is, I guess about your podcast, what you guys talk about some pretty deep stuff. This is a deep question. And a quick answer here, just two things that don't really go together. What is the meaning of life, Pete? Oh, that's easy.
Starting point is 00:41:10 It's not easy, but this is Alan Watts. Alan Watts says the meaning of life is life. If there is, and I believe there is an indivisible consciousness behind this all, it wanted to play, it wanted to dance with itself. So it divided, the one divided into the many, to do everything, to have this conversation with you, Bobby, to make a TV show, to play, to laugh, to feel, to have your heart broken. The meaning of life is life. podcast is called You Made It Weird. Last question, I lied. When you write for the Simpsons,
Starting point is 00:41:41 is there just a pressure that is not put on by the Simpsons folks themselves, but that you are involved in something that has existed at such a high level for such a long time? Well, not only that, but shaped my sense of humor so fundamentally, and everybody that I know it shaped our sense of humor fundamentally. But the surprising answer, as you're asking, is it was sort of the opposite of pressure is I knew whatever I wrote, they would understand it, they would get it, and they would make it better. And when I watched those episodes that I wrote, by the time they aired them, wonderful writers like Al Jean and the room had punched it up, you know, added more and more and more and more to it. It's probably every fifth, sixth joke
Starting point is 00:42:29 would have been mine and the others were these brilliant seasoned writers. So it really was a team effort. Follow them at Pete Holmes and then watch tonight how we roll. Hey Pete, real treat talking to you. Thank you for the time and hope you have a great day. Thanks for having me, Bobby. I appreciate it. See you, buddy. It is time for the investigative morning corny.
Starting point is 00:42:48 We have 90 seconds to figure out Amy's morning corny. Team ready? We're ready. That's me. Eddie, lunchbox. Amy, you ready. Ready. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:43:00 The morning corny. How does Kanye like his eggs? How does Kanye like his eggs? eggs. So a Kanye song. Gold, Digger, uh, power. Kanye West. Kim Kardashian.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Scramble. Be something with yay. Over yeasy. Yeezy. Oh, yeezy. Oh, yeezy. Over yeezy. Over yeezy. Good one.
Starting point is 00:43:25 Right. Over yeezy. It has to be that. That's actually funny too. Because that's what the, is that what they call them? Easy. Over easy, yeah. I'm not sure what that means. I don't even know really what any of these. the eggs except scrambled means.
Starting point is 00:43:37 And I might like others, but I always get too intimidated and I just go scrambled. Yeah, some people say sunny side up. I don't know what that means. What's the kind that you pop? Over easy. Both sunny side up or over easy. Or over easy. It's like how they cook the egg whites.
Starting point is 00:43:49 No, it's a difference. They're different. It never lasts long when I, like, it's like and you want to let it sit there, but then you pop it and it's... And gets all over everything. Yeah. Okay. Well, we're going to go with Over Easy. Let's hit it, Ray.
Starting point is 00:44:04 The morning corner. How does Kanye like his eggs? How does Kanye like his eggs? Over Yeezy. Nice job, nice job. Let's go. Clear eyes, full hearts can't lose. My favorite is scrambled.
Starting point is 00:44:22 I'm doing the Mount Rushmore of eggs. Classic. I just know more about it. I'm comfortable with scrambled. I can actually make those and put stuff in it. You know, I like a hard-boiled at times, especially if I'm eating a certain way for a certain reason. At times.
Starting point is 00:44:35 I can take it with me Put in a little sealed container You got to seal it. We have people here that eat hard-boiled eggs And it's disgusting It's like a part Yeah After that
Starting point is 00:44:45 You know, does an omelet count? Of course Is that a type of eggs? Of course. I don't know So I'm gonna go with an omelette at three Sure And then at number four
Starting point is 00:44:55 I'm gonna go with Eggs as part of a Breakfast with my friends Oh Interesting Wow, you don't even try to just go Over Easy or something like All my friends eat eggs
Starting point is 00:45:05 You're so anti-opsy. That's number four, yeah. I don't like popping that thing. I love popping that thing. I love popping it. I'm weird about sending food back if I'm in a restaurant. Having worked in a restaurant for years, I don't know what they're doing back there.
Starting point is 00:45:19 Also, don't want to insult the cook or the waiter. But we were at a dinner and ordered my steak medium. I also ordered A1. Man, if you give me A1, I don't care how bad the meat is. It makes the state great. Yeah, yeah. And it was red. And I showed Eddie, I was like, hey, am I weird?
Starting point is 00:45:34 Is this not done? and Eddie backed me up and I sent it back and I hated doing that. It felt terrible bad. But Eddie was like proud of it. Yeah, whoa. That's what you do. Put one on the board. So not my thing, but you're not afraid to do it.
Starting point is 00:45:47 And this happened again recently. Yeah, recently, I took my 14-year-old son to a restaurant. He orders a shake and he drinks about half of it. And then he goes, I don't know, Dad. I just don't like the way this tastes. It was a weird shake, not like your ordinary chocolate shake or whatever. He says, what do I do? I said, hey, this is what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:46:04 When you're not satisfied with something at a restaurant, you tell the waitress or the waiter, and you say, hey, I didn't like this, can I have a new one? But what do you mean satisfied? Like if you don't like how it tastes? Yeah, say you order french fries and you're like, I don't know, I just don't like the french fries. They're not crunchy enough or whatever. Take them back and get tater tots. No. So you're saying at a restaurant, this is what you're teaching your kids.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Yeah. That if you order something and not that it's messed up or there's a hair in it. Right. If you just go, this isn't really good for my taste buds. It doesn't fulfill the need. for a nice dinner. All that falls under the satisfactory category. Yeah, you think that's okay?
Starting point is 00:46:40 Yeah. I mean, he wasn't satisfied with that shake. I don't know what he expected. He ordered that shake. I get it, but it wasn't to his satisfactory, whatever. He drank half of it. He sure did. Yeah, half. The only way I would consider this being okay is if he had a drink. Like one zip. And it's like, oh,
Starting point is 00:46:57 this is not what I thought it was. But not half of it. To his defense, he was trying to convince himself to drink more and be like, Maybe I'll like it the more I drink, but then about halfway, he's like, no, I just can't do it? So the question is, if you go to a restaurant and you don't like the food you got, can you send it back? If you don't like it. Because the flavors are just not your thing. Correct.
Starting point is 00:47:14 Or whatever. You made a mistake in ordering something that you don't like. Right. Like, I can't order. I can't be debating between the chicken sandwich and the hamburger, and I get the chicken sandwich. I'm like, oh, this just is not hitting the spot and go ask for a burger. I'll give you a spot's funny. Hitting the spot's funny.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Yes. Better example, you get a spicy chicken sandwich, right? And then you start eating it. You're like, oh, this is way more spicier than I thought I can't even breathe. This is too spicy. I'm going to change my order. Can I take my sandwich back when you get me one that's not so spicy? Same thing.
Starting point is 00:47:39 I mean, you can't do that. You order that spicy sandwich. It's too spicy. No, no. You can't do that. And he's teaching his kids to do this. You're going to grow up thinking that this is okay. If you know what you're ordering and then you get what you ordered and you know and you got
Starting point is 00:47:56 and every expectation is met and it's not undercooked or a hair or fingernail. Like take all that. All the gross stuff. If it's exactly what you ordered, you pay for it. Wow. Okay. That's what I said. I guess I was just raised differently.
Starting point is 00:48:09 My dad was the king of this. He loved doing this. Around the room. I say that is not good. Okay. Amy. Not good. I'm embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Really? Both of you all? I have secondary embarrassment. Lunchbox? I am Team Eddie 100% on this. Now we know it's not good. Eddie, you are paying for something. And if you are not satisfied with that item, you can ask for
Starting point is 00:48:31 something different. But satisfaction has to be that they didn't do it what they had promised. If they give you what they told you they were going to give you, you can't be mad at what they gave you. Yeah, you can say, you know what? It doesn't taste like I thought it was going to taste and so it doesn't hit the spot. You go to a movie. Hit the spot is so funny to say for a reason you don't want to eat it. Hey, you go to a movie and halfway through, you're like, man, I just don't like this movie. You can go back to the box office and say, you know what? You're out of your mind. You cannot do that. Yes, you can. If you don't like the movie. Yes. And you go and say, man, I don't like that movie.
Starting point is 00:49:01 I need my money back. And that is exactly what Eddie's kid did. And I am team Eddie. You don't like it. Get something different. Morgan. No, he cannot send it back. I've been a server.
Starting point is 00:49:10 I've been here before. No. What about the movie thing that Lunchbox is talking about? No. No. If everybody was dissatisfied of things, then we'd all be returning stuff all the time. Yeah, it's like, what?
Starting point is 00:49:20 Do you buy a pair of jeans and you wear them for a week and be like, I've been wearing these all week and they're just not working out? You can't return them. Absolutely. You can. If they don't fit. Okay, so here is the actual policy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:32 When you're at the theater, a ticket may be refunded. Boom. Up to 30 minutes after the film has started. That's about half a milkshake. Not half. That's half a milkshake. That's right. It's like a third.
Starting point is 00:49:42 It's probably less than a third. Yeah. It's like a quarter of the movie. Fourth of the milkshake. Okay. You know lunchbox is going to watch movies up to 29 minutes and then run out real quick. Run to the bottom. I just like guess what happened.
Starting point is 00:49:52 I don't think that's cool. Okay. So it's too late because we did it already. What's too late in this, but now you've learned. So should I tell them next time, hey, I've changed my mind? No, you don't have to change your mind because Bobby and Amy. Well, it's three against two. That's the only reason. And who's your tag department?
Starting point is 00:50:07 I don't really want to listen to Lunchbox. Yeah, but this is how you grew up. It is. I was raised this way. But that doesn't mean that it was the right way. That's correct. So tell your son. He should send things back if it doesn't meet the expectation that he was presented. Got it.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Not just because it doesn't hit the spot. Hit the spot. We bought a haunted doll. and this doll has brought sadness to the person who owned it. This doll's shoes would come off at random times. Amy and Eddie are like, dolls can't be haunted.
Starting point is 00:50:39 Things can't be haunted. So since they thought that, we played a game, Amy lost. She has to take this doll home with her for a week whenever it gets here. I know, but now I'm very concerned. Well, what did your pastor say yesterday? So I just read you a little bit of what he sent me.
Starting point is 00:50:51 He sent me paragraphs and paragraphs. But what'd you ask him then? Well, he heard it on the show. And so then I messaged him, and he was like, I actually heard this. He goes, let me get back to you because I need to think about this. And hours went by. And then he sent me a detailed, thorough note. I just didn't think this was that serious.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Okay. Come on. Let's hear what he has to say. Hey, Amy, thanks for reaching out about the haunted doll. You have a weird job. It's a tricky one because as Christians, we believe in supernatural forces of good as well as the presence of evil in the world. It's important to bring a lot of intellectual humility to things like this because it's impossible to know everything that there is to know about the world. That being said, there's a 0.0001% chance that the doll is haunted. And the good news is it has no power over the name of Jesus. The doll can't hurt you.
Starting point is 00:51:39 I do want to encourage you, however, to pay attention to your discomfort. You're a mom, and as parents, we have a higher level of responsibility. I mean, it goes on and on and on, but I feel like those are the key points of like, when he hit me with the mom and higher level of responsibility. Now, he knows both of my kids and he knows them well. And he's like, you know the kids tell us to share everything at school. And he said, I'm sure she's probably already heard of this. So talk to her.
Starting point is 00:52:03 She doesn't care about the doll. Mom, she doesn't. She doesn't. I can't even mention it to my son because that's the thing. He will care and this will cause major issues. So I don't want the doll to come in. But again, like my pastor said, in the name of Jesus will be fine. But I have to put it away.
Starting point is 00:52:21 And like my son cannot see it because he brings up a great point that I didn't even thought of. Like my son will be scared. and it will cause issues. And I don't have time for that. Any chance your son has heard this segment? No. Cool. All right.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Wow. I like what he said too. But I mean, no, but I can't prevent people asking my son about it, though, that may hear. Let's make a deal. Anyone listening, let's make a deal. Don't. Yeah. Don't say anything.
Starting point is 00:52:44 But it also, like, teeny tiny percentage makes me uncomfortable. It's a lot, baby. Hey. What do he say, points your one? That's show bin, baby. Showbins. He said what I liked. There's no way we can ever.
Starting point is 00:52:56 everything about the world. He said we have intellectual, we need to have intellectual humility. I think that was the greatest thing I took away from that. I don't think the doll is haunted. Very smart. I don't think the doll is haunted. But I'm not messing with it. Me neither. But I, except for, he also sent me a voice memo later that was like, hey, and also like, are you contractually obligated to take the doll? Yes. And I was like, I don't know. If you can convince someone else to take the doll home for you. I tried yesterday. You didn't try hard enough.
Starting point is 00:53:31 Ray's wife was so adamant that she was not having that doll anywhere near her home. And so I was like, oh, gosh. I mean, people are passionate about this doll and nobody wants it. Why won't someone else just take it? I have adopted children with trauma. We've heard. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We know. I don't know why I didn't think of this.
Starting point is 00:53:53 Obviously, when we played the game for the doll, actually, before there was even a game for the doll, you just said, can things be haunted? And I should have thought more about it. I do that a lot, too. Well, that's just fire off things. Yeah, that's every day on the show. And then I learn after I have to pay.
Starting point is 00:54:09 Right, I know. I'm going to start really, really, really thinking before I speak. Good for you. We learned something good here. So if anyone wants to take it home for a week in your place, they can. Yeah. Correct. Who wants to take it home?
Starting point is 00:54:21 Let's just check in with everybody here. Okay. Morgan, any chance you want to take this haunted doll home? Yeah, no, I've said from the beginning, I believe in them. I believe in anything that I don't understand. A hundred bucks? No, I'm out. I don't know what you offered.
Starting point is 00:54:34 I assumed it was $100. Low bald. And then I doubled it. I went up to $200. Wow. Eddie, that's a lie because Lunchbox gave me the real number and I like the real number. So if she could give me that real number, that doll's coming home with me for a week. And I don't care.
Starting point is 00:54:51 I don't know what the real number is. I can't pay the real number. I see she knows the real number I didn't say that number though They did That's not Amy's number That's not me offering it That's Ray asking for it
Starting point is 00:55:00 And I'm like okay I'm out Like I... Amy I understand your trouble And I get it And I can take that off of you For that amount of money Lunchbox I told you guys
Starting point is 00:55:09 I believe in haunted things I don't mess with haunted things You love money though You love money I do love money You love money What do you hate? Haunted things
Starting point is 00:55:17 What do you love money Which one more? Ooh good question Love over hate Yeah love big sign Hey, Amy, I'll write down a number. Okay, Mike, no chance. Ray, any chance?
Starting point is 00:55:26 I'm not allowed to. Okay, Scoobie Steve? No way. Amy. Yeah, a spirit apparently took over Scooba Steve once. Oh, really? You have to keep it in your house the whole time. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:55:38 That's lower than my number? I mean, this is going to really not be fun because I don't want to pay this. I don't want to pay this at all. But, like, also to prevent anything potentially evil in my home that also could mess with like... But we need proof it's in your house the whole time. You can't not put it in there. Dude. Bobby, what would you do?
Starting point is 00:56:00 You want a webcam on it all 24-7 or what? I mean, it'll be a bad idea. Not a bad idea. It has its own only fan account. Guys, guys, guys, listen, I have a little camera. Will you pay him that amount of money? Well, do you know the amount? Yeah, I saw it.
Starting point is 00:56:14 Okay, what do you think? What would you do? It's your money. It's a stupid amount of money, but it's your money and you're really scared. I am scared. Oh, man, that's going to be bad. That can be crazier than what I offered. Yes or not. Can I decide in a minute?
Starting point is 00:56:27 Yeah, I'll give you until... Thank you. I need to think about this. Also, I have a little camera that I used whenever my dad lived with us. I had to watch him 24-7. And I could set that up at... hilarious. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:38 We can check in at any time. Stream it? Yeah. Of it doing nothing. Love it. Yep. Except haunting lunchbox. So I have the app on my phone and I just need to give lunchbox the camera and he can set it up and it's like through
Starting point is 00:56:48 Wi-Fi. Okay. 20 minutes. We'll check back in. Right after the news in a little bit. Okay, deal? Deal. That's a decent amount of money.
Starting point is 00:56:58 Oh, man, I'm messing with the spirits, though. You are. You are. But hey, you got green. Speaking of seeing weird things, Amy was up here yesterday because you did a little album release that's coming out later with Miranda Lambert, right?
Starting point is 00:57:09 Yes. So you came up to the studio before that. You guys ready for this? Yeah. What time were you up here? I was here from about 3 to 3.30. Okay. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:57:19 Yeah, so I get here. What did you say? tell him? I'm like trying. First of all, I'm locked out and I'm like, who in the world am I going to get a hold of to let me in the building? Call scuba Steve. He wasn't here. Come in. Finally, someone let me in, and I come in the studio and Eddie is here at 3. And even when I left at 3.30 to go downtown, he was still here. Thank you, Amy. You don't have enough work to be here until 3.5. You don't. You don't. You know, there's no reason you should be here at 3.30. Amy, what was I doing?
Starting point is 00:57:51 Working. I have no idea. Scoba Steve, what's up? Because I had to leave early yesterday so I felt bad that I wasn't here for her. But a lot of times Eddie,
Starting point is 00:57:58 I hate to say it, but he's on like FaceTime talking to one of his friends about like gambling or sport stuff. There's no reason. He's like messing around for like an hour and a half. I mean, you all don't know my conversations.
Starting point is 00:58:07 Business. Straight business. Never dawned on me that Eddie would be here. I would have called him. The only person that would be here or even need to be here is Scooba Steve. And yeah, again, he had an appointment. So he left.
Starting point is 00:58:17 And so when I walked in, the studio lights are on. I thought, this is so weird. What in the world is he doing here? He's a fugitive from his family. Man, yesterday was a busy day for sure. He's a lot of work. He's like putting in a 10-hour day up here.
Starting point is 00:58:31 And Ray gets here like 30 minutes later for the next day. Yeah. Eddie, family fugitive. We see you. Hard worker over here, huh? But honestly, since I had to leave at 3.30 to go to the venue, I don't even know what time he left. I looked at 4.30, man.
Starting point is 00:58:46 430. My kids, everyone's home at 3.30. So he's like... Family fugitive. No. All day. That's funny. Well, it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:58:56 You all saw that. I know. I couldn't believe my eyes. He tried to hide under the desk when you got here, but he didn't. Okay, so when we do the news in like 20 minutes, you will let me know what your thought is on the doll. Yes. You pay lunchbox or not. We're going to move on either way in about 20 minutes.
Starting point is 00:59:10 Okay. When you want you decide, we're done. Okay. Spring is in full effect, and tractor supply is your hometown spring headquarters. For great values on spring essentials. Hey, it's Bobby Bones. I love tractor supply. They are going to get you ready this spring

Tell me something good. So this was crazy. Last week around Austin, Texas, there were some tornadoes. And there was a 16-year-old boy named Leon Riley.
Starting point is 01:00:28 He's driving home from a job interview. And it's all on video. He gets stuck on the road as a tornado comes, hits his truck, spins it around, rolls the truck over a couple times. Then finally, the truck lands on all four wheels, and he slowly just drives away. Hold on me through this. He's on the road, and the tornado literally touches this truck? It touches his truck, grabs it, picks it up, flips it over a couple of times.
Starting point is 01:00:52 Over like barrel roll. Upside down, on top. And then finally, it just lands again on all four wheels. And the truck just slowly drives off. It's a crazy video if you haven't seen it. No way. Crazy. So it ends up being it's a 16-year-old kid driving it.
Starting point is 01:01:07 Everybody finds out he gets on the news. Well, there's a dealership in Fort Worth that says, you know what? We want to give this guy a brand new truck. So they gift him a new truck and $15,000 on top of it. And then his teacher at school. says, hey, we'll start a go fund me. They raised $40,000 for the kid. Yeah, probably, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:23 Why all the money? I mean, I'm glad he got on a truck. It was traumatic. Yes, therapy. He's going to need, like, a lot of really intense. I can't believe the truck dumped over. Yeah. And he lived.
Starting point is 01:01:34 What's crazy is once it lands on all four wheels again, it's like you can just tell what he's thinking. He slowly goes, I can get out of this. And he just takes off. Crazy. Not the same, but I have a story. Once I was driving to work. I used to do maintenance on a golf.
Starting point is 01:01:48 course. And we had to be there before the sun came up because that's when we started. And so we had to mow the greens and weeded and raked traps all before the golfer started, which obviously is early in the morning. I'm driving and I'm falling asleep as I'm driving. And I'm fighting it. I've got the windows down. I got the radio up. I'm doing everything so I can be awake, but I just can't, I keep fading off. I pull over. I run around the car a couple times. I get back in and drive. I'm just trying to get to work. And so I vaguely remember just slowly fit. And the next thing I knew, I woke up in someone's front yard. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:02:22 And I looked back and you could see, like, the tire marks from where I had, I don't know how I got in there. It looked like I'd kind of spun in the yard. But I was in the front yard and I looked around and I was like, oh, my God, how did I die or crash into the house? And I just drove off like the kid did it. That could have been terrible. I didn't knock on the door. Now, thinking back, like, what? That's terrible.
Starting point is 01:02:40 I should knock on the door and been like, I destroyed your yard. But I was just like, I cannot. And I drove right out of there. Yeah. What makes me feel good about it. it is. It wasn't that nice of a yard anyway. Oh, okay. Okay. Fine then. That's a great story. Good. Good. I'm glad he lived and he's getting the new truck. That's
Starting point is 01:02:57 what it's all about. That was tell me something good. We're going to give you the biggest stories of the day at this time, every single morning, some news and some just like, wow, can you believe this even happened? So, let's go. Bobby's big. Stories. A man with $500,000 in cryptocurrency, basically internet money. Well, he lost it all because the person that was doing his trading died and had the password. Oh.
Starting point is 01:03:25 Another story of no password? Well, he didn't have his, his guy had his password. So he didn't lose it himself, but just the guy died. This is terrible. So half a million bucks that he spent on that gone because they can't log into it. He doesn't know what it is. So that is very unfortunate. Very?
Starting point is 01:03:44 Yeah. Yeah. Is there anybody in your life right now that if they died, You might not have access to something. Or, like, you would lose something. I don't think so. I pretty much have. Didn't you ask Mike D for a password the other day?
Starting point is 01:03:57 Mike has all my password. Well, there you go. You don't want to lose him. I can. Yeah, you better protect Mike D. I can try. It takes me a while, but I could probably get back to finding things. Okay.
Starting point is 01:04:07 But there were a couple work related. I was like, Mike, I don't know this password. And so, yes. And he has it all. He has it on the spot. He's like, actually, 429. If you hate turbulence, fly earlier in the day. if you do not like flying, like I do, and you hate turbulence, go a little earlier because the warmer it is on the ground, the bumpier the air gets, so there tends to be more turbulence in the afternoon.
Starting point is 01:04:30 I was flying with Amy's husband once, and I was asking him this, he's a pilot, Air Force pilot, so like super great pilot. And I was like, what's the deal? He goes, well, heat hits the ground, bounces up, basically. I'm paraphrasing, and it could be wrong. And that's the bumps. It's the heat coming up. Oh. So in hot spots, it's even bumpier.
Starting point is 01:04:50 And that pilots just see it like you would a speed bump in a car. No, because I can hit a speed bump and get a flat tire, but I'm not falling 20,000 feet to my dad. Right. So it's not that. We had the pilot on, it's like, oh, it's like waves in a boat. No, I can swim. If I fall out of the boat, I can swim for a little bit. You don't like any of these analogies they are?
Starting point is 01:05:08 They're supposed to be comforting. But the only thing it's comforting for me is the data of there just aren't that many plane crashes. Right. So that's what's up. Go earlier. you would like to not have to, you know, beep off around on the airplane. Chris Rod kicked off his stand-up tour last night
Starting point is 01:05:22 by just asking the crowd, hey, so how was your weekend? But didn't really have all much material about the Oscars. He said at some point, I'll talk about that, and it'll be serious, and it'll be funny. Here's a clip. The person snuck their phone in. You want to have phones in.
Starting point is 01:05:35 The person snuck their phone in, and it's very muffled, but here you go. How was your weekend? Processing what happened? Audio before. This theater, that he was playing in Boston, the Wilbur. It's really cool because that's a,
Starting point is 01:06:00 for what he normally does, massive theaters. Like, I've played the Wilbur many times, and it's a comedy club and, like, a concert venue. But to see Chris Rock in a place like that would be super cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:09 Just working out material for the special, probably. But those people got really lucky. How do Americans really feel about the Will Smith Chris Rock slap? 70, almost 70% say that Will Smith was wrong, obviously. You can't just be irritated
Starting point is 01:06:22 and then go slap somebody. I saw Jada from behind They showed a clip on TikTok She laughed at the joke too She laughed at the joke too Really? She laughed when Will walked up there too She was like
Starting point is 01:06:32 It was like you've never seen this footage before And it was her like laughing Wow Interesting It's weird That percentage go up a little bit That you might think it's fake No
Starting point is 01:06:44 What I think could happen Is on April Fool's day Which I guess is tomorrow huh That they could come up Like hey it was an April Fool's joke Even though it really wasn't It's like their way to get out of it But I don't believe it was fake.
Starting point is 01:06:56 Yeah, no. I don't. And then finally, a baby's born in India. Cool. With two heads, three arms, and two hearts. Whoa. A baby in India left the doctor stunned. They were expecting two fully formed twins, but were shocked when she gave birth to a baby that had two heads.
Starting point is 01:07:15 Wow. And three arms? Yeah, and you know, what's wild about it is, the two heads look very healthy. It looks like two full heads. I don't know anything about how this. It just looks like the two kids, babies were mushed together when it was born. It's crazy. They have survived so far.
Starting point is 01:07:34 They're at the hospital. Super rare, but they've kept them under observation. They're not planning on any surgery right now. Yeah, they're still okay. But it's a they because it's too. That's interesting. Two hearts. Because conjoined twins would still be, they're too different because they can separate them some successfully.
Starting point is 01:07:51 I guess so it wouldn't it be awesome if they had double the brain power and they actually figured out some stuff in the world. Super smart. Like they were like, we're just going to let this baby grow up. It's healthy. And let's let's let it rock and see what happens. And then all of a sudden they're having debates with themselves, making them smarter. Like one's reading this book about this, and all of a sudden they combine their knowledge.
Starting point is 01:08:07 And it's like super baby. Yeah. Oh, that's the movie. I just wrote it. Super baby. But it's because they were born conjoined and everybody laughed at them. People were like, oh, poor baby. But they looked at life in the opposite way.
Starting point is 01:08:18 They're like, now we have double the brain power. We're here to save the world. They learn doubly. Oh. Wow, man, that's really good. And they have double the heart. Their only weakness was they were embarrassed to go to the bathroom around each other. So that was always a struggle their whole life. All right, that's the news. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:08:35 Those were Bobby's Big. Stories. I think the biggest story of the morning, though, is checking in with Amy. Because just a quick reset. Hold off on the drummer one second. Let me reset it real quick. I like sweating. Amy has to take a haunted doll home with her.
Starting point is 01:08:52 She lost a game. For a week, it's supposed to live at her house. She reached out to her pastor. The pastor was like, hey, we believe in Jesus Christ, and this is not bigger than Jesus Christ. He said, but you do have kids and it can freak him out. Which tore Amy a little bit. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:07 Then Lunchbox said, I'll take the doll home, and he held up a number. So if Amy pays him this number... Which hurts, by the way. Like, I don't want to pay this money. He'll take the doll home. So, I do need your decision. Right now? Right now hit me with it.
Starting point is 01:09:23 Okay. Amy, there is the haunted doll. It is called the crying boy. Are you taking the doll home for a week? Or are you... I don't like that drum roll. That's a constant one. I mean, the thing is, like, I'm literally here, like, as my job, like, I get paid to be here.
Starting point is 01:09:42 Like, I'm getting paid right now, and then I'm about to pay the money that I'm making. So you are... Wow! Is that the announcement? You are paying the money. It just feels weird. Like who else at their job has to like make money and then spend it right away. I have to spend all the time on prizes for listeners for games.
Starting point is 01:09:57 I know. I know. This is just as being, like trying to be a responsible parent. Your answer is? I cannot bring the haunted doll into my home. And I guess I am going to be paying lunchbox a stupid amount of money to avoid it. Oh! I don't want the doll, but I want that money!
Starting point is 01:10:17 I need to see a handshake because once the hand shake you have to happen, He's now obligated. Let's go. Oh, he spit in his hand. I didn't really spit, Amy. Okay, handshake is on. Breaking news. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:10:30 It's like, honestly. Breaking news. Breaking news. I have new breaking news. It's now his doll. The doll's here today. Oh, no. It starts now?
Starting point is 01:10:39 Oh, I'm so glad this deal got done today because I can't, I just could, I could hide it from my son, but if he were to find out, it could just cause issues. Well, we're moving from you to lunchbox now. Okay, good. But well. Lunchbox? The doll is here. Where is it right now, Mike?
Starting point is 01:10:55 It's outside. We're not bringing it in the building. How am I going to tell my wife? Not our problem. That's a good point, though. Hey, NOP. What's that? Not our problem.
Starting point is 01:11:06 That's a good one. I like that. I'm starting that to people. We're going to make the handoff. Do you want to do the next segment? But outside, we'll get them on the phone. We'll go and put it in your car. Oh, my car's already haunted.
Starting point is 01:11:17 No, it's dirty. With dead animals and bugs. Yeah. You did that. Oh, boy. We'll pass over the doll in the next segment. I don't like it. What?
Starting point is 01:11:26 Are you Venmo? Is that what I was going to say? You have to do it now. You want me to Venmo? Yeah, what else are you going to do? That's got to happen. Can I make, can I do a payment plan? Just Venmo him.
Starting point is 01:11:35 That way he has to do it. Oh, so dumb. We'll do the doll next. All right, if we go over to the phone lines, hopefully we have cell because they are down deep in the parking garage. It's the level that's under the ground. Who is on the phone right now? Lunchbox or Mike D? Who am I talking with here, Ray?
Starting point is 01:11:53 You're talking to me. Okay. So what's happening right now in the parking garage? Mike has a box that says priority mail on it. We haven't opened it because I wanted to do the big reveal on here. Okay, so, yeah, sells a little choppy. We'll see how it goes here. Lunchbox has the haunted doll. Amy paid him to take the doll home for a week, so he's going to do it.
Starting point is 01:12:15 Let's open it up. Lunchbox, give us your thoughts, and then you're going to put in your car. And when you go home from work today, you take it home for a week. All right, here we go, Mike. Let me open that box. Oh, my gosh. Okay, I'm opening up. What if like a snake bit him right now?
Starting point is 01:12:29 That'd be crazy. Dude, I thought it was going to be a joke and something was going to jump out at me. And then one of his tires popped. Oh, it's heavy. Oh, it's heavy. Oh, this is weird. It rattles. Do you see it yet or is it just in the package still?
Starting point is 01:12:43 No, I'm holding it in my hand. What emotions are you experiencing right now? What do you call that? Fear. That's what you call it. Yes. F-B-A-R. Uncertainty. Did you feel anything, or is this just like a joke to you?
Starting point is 01:13:00 When you have the doll on your hand, are you actually worried about the spirits that this doll? No, I'm worried about it because the doll looks like he's been crying. It looks like he has tears. It's called The Crying Boy. Can you describe the doll for our listeners? Yeah, it looks like it's from the 40s. It has a little hat on like he's out.
Starting point is 01:13:19 about to go work in the farm. He's got blue eyes. I mean, just really blue eyes. So it could be my child. He's got overalls on. And, I mean, he looks like he's going to work on the farm. He's a farmer boy. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:35 I don't know how else to describe him. You nailed him. He's got brown hair. I don't know how to describe it out. What's that word? A baby? He described it perfectly. He comes up to my shin when you put him on the ground.
Starting point is 01:13:47 Oh, he's tall. I like it. Put it in your car and you can come back up to the studio. But now that is yours until, because today's Thursday, until next Friday. He can bring it back in next Friday. Whoa, whoa, that's over a week. That's the deal. That was the deal.
Starting point is 01:14:01 No, the deal was a week. But you can take it out of your house after the show on next Thursday, but you just have to bring it in next Friday. Okay. Okay, he's going to sit in the driver's seat. The driver's gone. Oh, my gosh. Already.
Starting point is 01:14:16 I'm testing him. I'm testing to see how he is. He's locked in so no one can come steal him. Okay, come on back up. Oh, that is weird. Oh, I don't like that. Lunchbox is taking it. I'm going to roll down the windows.
Starting point is 01:14:24 I don't know. I'm going to roll down the window so if there's any spirit, it gets out of the car. He's not farting. But I feel like if there's the windows down, he has a chance to get out. Like, it has a chance to leave. There he is. Lunchbox's coming back up. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:14:37 Let's see what happens over the next week. Okay. He will. He's a little richer. But will his life take a drastic turn for the worst. I hope not. Because then I'm going to feel bad. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 01:14:49 Yeah, heavy good. But he loves money. and so he'll probably take a little life pain for the money. Unless it's significant life pain. Like death. All right, Morgan. Oh, what if he... What if he dies?
Starting point is 01:15:00 I didn't say that. I thought it. I almost said it. Don't say it. Hello Fresh offers delicious, easy to prepare recipes and convenient doorstep delivery, plus calorie smart and carb smart options too, to make eating, well, easier than ever.
Starting point is 01:15:15 Get 16 free meals plus three gifts with code bone 16. Hellofresh.com slash bone 16 Earlier on the show Eddie was telling us a story His son got a milkshake Drink half of it was like I don't like this one And Eddie said more than you should take it back No it wasn't prepared badly
Starting point is 01:15:34 He wasn't satisfied with his milkshake Right but he or so we said that We didn't think that was a good teaching tool That's what you guys said He ordered it, he knew what he wanted He got what he wanted But then it was like you know what I don't like it as much I want a different kind
Starting point is 01:15:47 He didn't say that He just said, I don't like it. And I said, son, what you do in this circumstance is you take it back. You're not satisfied with it. And what I said was you take it back if they didn't prepare it up to expectations. Not if they prepared exactly how they said they were going to, and you just didn't like it. And he drank half. Yes.
Starting point is 01:16:02 Oh, yeah, a little less than half, but yeah, pretty close. So, Carrie. Pretty close. Carrie in Virginia, you're a restaurant owner, right? Yes, sir. So tell me what you thought when you heard this story from Eddie. This happens more than any restaurant. owner would like to have.
Starting point is 01:16:22 But going to a movie theater and not liking a movie and leaving and getting money back, that movie theater is not out of anything. They did not provide a product. At a restaurant, if you mess up, it is all on a restaurant. Yes, you have to remake it.
Starting point is 01:16:39 But if it's something that says hot pepper and you don't think you're going to eat a hot pepper, don't order it. Use the example of a spicy chicken. Spicey's in the name. If you don't like spicy, don't order it. The restaurant has to prepare that item twice. Restaurants are already working with razor-thin margins.
Starting point is 01:17:01 Product prices go up. Labor costs are at an all-time high. So when you make them do it again, they're making no money. And they gave you what they said they were going to give you. Right. You just made the wrong choice. I think as an owner you have to ask yourself, what's more important? your customer coming back over and over and over and over again?
Starting point is 01:17:20 Well, if the customer keeps asking for things over and over and over again, I don't want to come back. If it's like risking your bottom line. But if that one moment says, man, wow, I can't believe the game of new one, I love this restaurant because of that. I'm coming back for the rest of my life. That's what it's all about. That's what it's about, Eddie.
Starting point is 01:17:35 You're going to go back the rest of your life? Maybe. Have you been back since? No, not yet. I mean, this only happened last week. But do you think you'll go back? Sure. That place is great, especially the way they handle that.
Starting point is 01:17:43 They're like, absolutely. Stop it. Yes. Carrie, I appreciate the perspective. Thank you very much. My pleasure. See, buddy. Let's go to Don in Pennsylvania, who's on the phone.
Starting point is 01:17:53 Don, thank you for calling the show. What do you want to say? Hey. Morning, studio. Morning. So I would like to say I disagree with the last caller, simply because I was a server for roughly 15 years at the same restaurant. And so I had high seniority.
Starting point is 01:18:12 I also had some of the most regulars, simply because I would go above and beyond for my customers. And I agree with Eddie. if his first of all, I would be impressed that his son was the one talking to me instead of Eddie taking rain. So in doing that, one, it would bring two things to my attention. One, maybe the milkshake, the milk is bad, maybe the ice cream bad. It might fix the problem later on for other customers who might come in, so I would check that. Two, I would actually take it back.
Starting point is 01:18:41 If he didn't want that, I might suggest a different milkshake because milkshakes cost more than soda. My goal is to make the bill. I say promoting the menu, not upset. selling, but my goal is to make the bill as high as possible to that I get a better tip. So I always want them to order a milkshake, so I'd want him to come back. And because I went above and beyond, he most likely is going to give me a good tip. And if he comes back, he might ask for me. And then therefore, that's going to make my income better.
Starting point is 01:19:08 Listen, I hear you. I wait at tables for a long time, too. I don't have to pay the restaurant bill. While I'm waiting tables, I'm trying to do all kinds of stuff. I don't care about the milkset. I'm talking about it ain't a good thing to do for the people that own the restaurant. The owners. Yeah, and the milk wasn't bad.
Starting point is 01:19:21 I can't say it was or it wasn't, you know. He doesn't like it. He was not satisfied with his milkshake. I'm on team restaurant here. Hey, thank you for the call, everybody. We do appreciate it when you guys jump in and, you know, you're part of the show. We appreciate the feedback. Thank you very much.

I did not think this stuff happened in real life, especially, I guess, in America. But the best man stole the bride from the groom after confessing his love in the wedding speech.
Starting point is 01:20:09 It worked. Desiree White, 32, divorced her husband to marry her lifelong friend and best man at her wedding. I'm texting, Caitlin. like Eddie, right? I mean, I had a pretty good speech. What a TV, man. What a story.
Starting point is 01:20:26 So, again, Bryant, he confessed his undying love for her while toasting her nuptials. This guy. Ooh. I have all the confused emotions. I like when people get together and there's true love and they want to make it. At the wedding?
Starting point is 01:20:42 Yeah, like, why they're? But why do it publicly? You can also do it and say all this stuff to her privately. if you wanted to say it at all. During his best man's speech, it's been a few years, he said,
Starting point is 01:20:52 I remember the first moment I saw Desiree. I loved her. I found love with her. I knew she had to be mine. I thought she, if I'm the groom, I'm like, what's happening?
Starting point is 01:21:00 Like, where is this going? I thought she was the most beautiful person I'd ever seen in my life. But she and her ex sat side by side and they were both like, wait, what's happening? They were
Starting point is 01:21:09 trying to figure out what the joke was for a minute. There were 200 wedding guests. It was awkward. Everybody laughed. She thought it was a joke. Less than a year later, trouble in paradise or marriage. And then that's when their thing went romantic.
Starting point is 01:21:26 She and Brian kissed one day and they're hanging out. Within a year, she became pregnant. And what's crazy is if they're a happy couple for years and have that wonderful life and great kids, this is just a nutty story that you won't believe. And it's like true love wins. And it just depends how it ends and how we look at it. Right. I can't believe if we'll do that at the wedding.
Starting point is 01:21:46 that's so ballsy. Yeah, it is. If it doesn't work, it's so stupid. If it does work, it's like, what courage and bowing it, like a taconas on that guy. Well, but since it took time to unfold, obviously, right,
Starting point is 01:21:59 but the speech wasn't damaging at the wedding. Like, people just thought he was. Oh, it was. It said, it was. It said, and they're like one of those roach traps that you sit somewhere and you wait for a while and you dump it over and all the dead roaches come out like a month later.
Starting point is 01:22:14 Like, she said the trap, he said the trap there. Yeah, I. I mean, it definitely made things awkward, but it's not like he's like, leave your husband, you just married, and come with me. That was the initial investment into this. Yeah. Crazy. They may have been confused, but you know, her brain started to.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Yeah. She's like, wow, I had no idea. He loved it first. I can't believe that happened here. I would have loved us seen the video on that one on TikTok. Exactly. Is there no video of that? Why can't we see that one?
Starting point is 01:22:39 I was doing an interview yesterday. I was being interviewed. It's like, hey, what's the hardest part about being married? because I got married in July of last year, or almost April, so let's see her. July, September, October, November, December, January, February, March. Wow. Nine months in.
Starting point is 01:22:52 Wow. Who asked you that question? Almost at a year, a magazine. That's a tough question, man. And they were like, what's the hardest part? For me, the first thing that came to my mind was, I'm not good at wearing jewelry. I've never had jewelry on.
Starting point is 01:23:05 The wedding ring for me has been difficult. I have a, I call it the fancy ring. It's more of what normal people wear because it's made of a metal. I wear a red rubber one. Red's my favorite color. Red's the only color I can see. Red is the color of the Arkansas Razor Back.
Starting point is 01:23:19 So it is my favorite. It's the only, I just don't wear jewelry. I'm trying to wear a watch. Not to be a bit of a watch guy because I'm an adult man now. But that's the hardest part because I will forget it sometimes. And I'll leave and I'll be like, man, something doesn't feel right. I'm at that stage now where something doesn't feel right if I'm wearing the ring. But that to me has been the most difficult part that came to mind.
Starting point is 01:23:43 otherwise. That's a pretty safe answer. Very safe. Yeah. Good job for you. It's been pretty good. I mean, as far as like the difficult things, I don't play as much PlayStation as I would like. Yeah. But when you look at that in perspective.
Starting point is 01:23:55 It's also safe. Yeah. Because you can't do anything you want to do anymore. That would be the first one that kind of mine. But I kind of can. I just have to make sure. Yeah, I have to check with someone. There hasn't been something else playing.
Starting point is 01:24:07 Yeah, but you your whole life have not really had anybody to run anything by. And now the past nine months, you have. have someone you have to run everything by. Yeah. That's gotta be an adjustment. It's an adjustment, but I kind of like it because I have, it's also like I have somebody to do stuff with too, and I never had anybody to do things with.
Starting point is 01:24:25 Yeah, good point. So now there's like a whole new world of things I can do. Nice pivot. I don't just. Yeah, you're good. I like that. That was quick. Like, you're on your toes on that one.
Starting point is 01:24:35 Gosh, you're good. Well, it's the jewelry thing, right? I'm trying to wear jewelry. I also have, maybe I'll wear this ring. This is the, did you ever wear a mood ring as a kid? Yes, of course. This is a Sonic mood ring. Oh yeah?
Starting point is 01:24:47 Wait, wait, what is it do? What's your mood right now? Well, my mood right now is I'm feeling pretty good because I just got, I just talked about my wedding and I'm going to get in trouble. I know, but I can't see the color. Well, I don't, I have to look at all what the colors mean. But this is a sonic slush ring that tells you what slush you're in the mood for. Oh, that's really cool. So it's available for a limited time at Sonic Swagshop.com, which by the way, went to Sonic yesterday.
Starting point is 01:25:10 But that's probably every day. That's probably we could just do a standard segment. just do a standard segment. Drinks and slushes are always half price in the app. Try your slush mood, which is the mood ring here. I have one of these two for you, Amy, if you want it. What if I wore this is my wedding ring? Hilarious.
Starting point is 01:25:23 I took off the other one and I always just had. Hilarious. That might be the most difficult thing in my marriage then. Right. If that's what I did. I don't think Caitlin would be a fan. Although, it is nice that it would tell you exactly the type of slush you're in the mood for. What didn't it be so legit if mood rings worked?
Starting point is 01:25:37 They don't work. And we could get our people a mood ring just so you could look at their hand and see what mood they were in for real. Yeah. That would be the greatest real life gift. How do they work? Are they just like temperature or something? Yes. Body temp. I don't know. Science, man. I don't know. That's why it can alter.
Starting point is 01:25:53 Try your slush mood or grab your favorite slush for half price any time in the app. But there you go. But if they could actually create, if Elon Musk could create a mood a mood. A real mood ring. And everyone had one. And we knew what kind of mood everybody was in. I'm sure that's coming. That would be the greatest gift to mankind. Man, I don't think I need a ring to find out what mood people are in. I know what mood you're in.
Starting point is 01:26:13 No, no, you need a heads up, though. Because if I walk in and that thing is like black, I'm just going to walk out. Every time I shake your hand first thing in the morning, let me see. We all do a check. All right, mood rings up. All right, thank you guys. You can hit us up. 87-77, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:26:28 Appreciate it. Bobby Bone Show. Boney up the day. This story comes to us from Ohio. A man walked into a Starbucks, had a plastic bag, said, hey, put all the money in the bag. And so they fill out the bag and he's running out the door. He rips it on the door. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:26:44 The money goes flying. Why's he going with a plastic bag? If you're going to rob, you got to go with, you know, a good... The good old canvas. Yeah, canvas. Sometimes it's impromptu. Yeah. And then he runs out the door trying to cross the street.
Starting point is 01:26:57 Boom! Gets him by a cop car responding to the robbery. A cop car, too. He was thrown off by the torn bag. I would have been too. Yeah, he didn't look both ways. You got to think, too, that Starbucks doesn't have a lot of cash. Most people there probably aren't paying with cash.
Starting point is 01:27:12 and if they are, it's not big amounts of cash. Good point. I think you're going into Starbucks, and what can you steal stars from your app? I'll take all the stars that you have. Yeah, all right. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. We'll see you guys tomorrow.
