Starting point is 00:02:08 Get anything done. What's happening? Welcome to Thursday show. Morning studio. Morning. It is my pleasure to introduce you. Wow. Through the means of electronic technology.
Starting point is 00:02:30 This is cool. Not really. I mean, it's Amy. She's in a studio in California. Yeah, but she's in Hollywood. Amy's in Hollywood. Yeah. I mean, we're talking to a movie star.
Starting point is 00:02:39 So it's 3 o'clock in the morning where Amy is right. now. Oh, I didn't think about that. It's tough. So, Amy, good morning. Hi, I have not slept to good morning. So I haven't spoken. I've texted Amy. I've been like, how's it going? But I don't want to know too much. But Amy has been off working on this big acting project. Amy, give me a highlight that you can share with me, like the best thing that's happened so far since you've been in Hollywood. Okay, let me think. There's been a lot of really good things that don't have to give you one right now, it's that the wink was removed from my scene. Wait, so okay.
Starting point is 00:03:11 There was a wink in her scene, and then she goes, I can't wink. So she practiced, and we were like, you can't week. And then they changed it to a hug, and then they went back to a wink, and then she was freaking out, and now they went back to a what? A hug, yeah. I think that they realized, I remember I texted you, Bobby, and I was like, the wink is back because it, yeah, like you said, it went away. And then I just started really talking to the directors and producers about how I'm struggling with the wink.
Starting point is 00:03:44 And I think they saw me practicing and they removed the wink. So how nervous were you the first time you had to do a line? Listen, I was very nervous all leading up to it. And I don't know. Something about when like the game day started. I don't know the best way to say. The game day. And the lights came on.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Yeah. I was like, put me in, coach. I was ready. And everyone there was so nice. Everyone on set has been completely amazing from the top to the bottom. Like the top, top, you know, really important people. I couldn't believe it. I don't know what I had in my head because, of course, I've never worked on a movie set before,
Starting point is 00:04:22 but I figured somebody was going to be a little bit, like, rude or, you know, just too good or doesn't have time for this or that. But every single person was so welcoming and comforting and encouraging. So I think that helped my nerves. So Amy is in California right now. She is not an actress, but they had requested that she come out. And what we do know now is it is a Christmas movie, and it is on HBO Max. And so we can say that.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Wow. So they said, hey, we'd like for Amy to come out and play herself in this movie. And it's a smallish role, but there are real lines. in between her work in Hollywood. Yeah. Is it super fun? I mean, are you having the best time? Time of my life.
Starting point is 00:05:13 I like to hear it. Lunchbox has got a real sour look on his face right now. I mean, she sounds so happy. He's a real sour puss. I'm so happy for you. It's time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's mailbag.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Hello, Bobby Bones. My husband's 40 years old and still wears his high school varsity jacket at least once a week. He was varsity in football and wrestling and still talks about how he won the league championship in his senior year. We didn't go to high school together, so I'm not that impressed. He wears the jacket to high school homecoming games every year. He likes to wear my 15-year-old daughter's friends. He's embarrassing himself and me, for that matter. And I don't know how to tell him. The other problem is he has three friends that are just like him, and they all still.
Starting point is 00:06:02 still have and wear their varsity jackets. Will he ever grow out of this or am I stuck with a husband who can't get over himself from high school? Signed, desperately wanting my husband to get over himself from high school. Well, this is interesting because I think you should just let him enjoy himself. Yeah. I'm sure he has very few things that he just loves and is so proud of. And I think we all have ours. Lunchbox still talks about being prom king. Absolutely. Once a week we hear about it. It's an amazing honor to be prom king and to be district champ or one. whatever he won, that takes a lot of work and sacrifice. And so that's something he's proud of and he worked for.
Starting point is 00:06:38 And you should let him brag about it for the rest of his life. Eddie has multiple saves from being a lifeguard. I do. And I have an original T-shirt that I had when I was a lifeguard then. I still wear, I mean, I wore it the other day. And it reminds me of my saves. And man, the days when I could just save people and get some sun while I was there is great, great memories. I was captain of the Quiz Bowl, the 12th grade team when I was in seventh grade.
Starting point is 00:07:00 and for five years I ruled that when I walked in they knew a little big head Bobby was here a little guy yeah
Starting point is 00:07:08 the little guy with a huge head like and not even like smart but like huge physical head he meant business so I think we all have our things I think my adult thing is dancing with the stars
Starting point is 00:07:17 I don't let that go either yeah let him have his thing I agree it's okay if he embarrasses you he enjoys it his friends enjoy it it's their thing
Starting point is 00:07:25 I say let him you say let him absolutely you say let him and get a jacket to match his. Oh, Mrs. Letterman. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Then he may stop wearing it. Maybe. Or then you start doing something from when you were in high school. Like wear your prom dress around or something. But we're all cool with it. Now, I don't know that Amy would have said that. I think she's not here today. I think she probably said something like, he needs to get over him.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Here, I'll be Amy. I can't believe that. My husband wore his football shirt for, he had to get rid of it myself. So I made it into a blanket. Did you sound a just? just like her. Yeah. He needs to get over himself. But we all say all good. If he enjoys it, if he loves it, let him keep loving it.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Thank you for emailing us, though. And that's the mailbag. We've got your email and we've read it on the air. Now it's time to close Bobby's mailback. Elder versus millennial, Eddie, here's your question that Morgan will know the answer to. What celebrity has two kids named Stormy and Wolf? Stormy and Wolf. Give me one of the Kardashians. Can I say that or it would be specific? You can't just say a whole group.
Starting point is 00:08:42 It's a last name. Kardashian. I just don't know who. Chloe? Give me Chloe Kardashian. That's incorrect. Dang it. Morgan, what celebrity has two kids for the steel
Starting point is 00:08:54 named Stormy and Wolf? You were so close. It's Kylie Jenner. No. That's correct. It's Kylie Jenner. Yeah. Well, then I would have gotten it wrong
Starting point is 00:09:00 because I said Kardashian. That's correct. Yeah. It is Elder versus Millenner. Neil up first. He's a dad of four. He's the Hispanic who don't panic. He has a lot of mouths to feed.
Starting point is 00:09:12 So with his money, he is thrifty. And if he doesn't shave his beard, he looks about age 50. Oh. Which is what, seven years older than you are? No. Yeah, I guess so. Dang, yes. Wow, that was, that hit me hard.
Starting point is 00:09:25 It is producer, Eddie. Eddie, question number two. Come on. Now Morgan will know the answer to this because she was born in 93. MTV's The Hills was a spinoff of what show? Come on, Brain. Laguna Beach. Wow.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Is that it? From deep in left hill. Is that it? Yeah. Nice job. Eddie, what's the name of the movie that co-starred Kelly Clarkson and runner-up Justin Guarini in 2003? Movie?
Starting point is 00:10:00 It sounds like American Idol. Yeah. What's the name of the movie that co-starred the American Idol? Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini. in 2003. Did they make a movie? American Idol the movie. They didn't make a movie? Incorrect. Morgan?
Starting point is 00:10:22 It's somewhere right in that thing. I think it's the Justin and Kelly movie. The Kelly and Justin movie? I think it's the Justin and Kelly movie. Incorrect. Close. It's called From Justin to Kelly. Did you know he's the Dr. Pepper guy? I had no idea. All right. Let's go over to Morgan. She's Morgan number two. She runs all of our digital.
Starting point is 00:10:45 She's a vegetarian, so she doesn't eat meat. And she was recently considering selling online pictures of her feet. That's right. Morgan, number two. All right, Morgan, your questions are questions that Eddie will know the answer to. Crazy little thing called love was this group's first number one hit in the United States in 1980. I'm going to play you a clip. What's the name of this band?
Starting point is 00:11:10 I don't know. I have no idea. I know that song, and that song sounds very familiar. Were they a one, can you tell me if they're a one hit wonder? I can't tell you anything. Good try, though. I mean, that, yeah. Nah. Oh, man, the Beatles. Incorrect. Eddie, you can steal. Man, it sounds nothing like their music, but is that the queen? That is queen. That's correct, yeah. Morgan O.J. Simpson appeared on TV in 1994 during a slow speed check.
Starting point is 00:12:00 What kind of vehicle was he driving? Oh, this is huge. O.J. Simpson appeared on TV in 1994 during a slow speed police chase. What kind of vehicle was he driving? Or was he in? What kind of vehicle was being driven? This is apparently a known thing? Yeah, very known. He was in a Mustang.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Wow. In course. Yeah, the answer is? A white Ford Bronco. That's correct. Wow. Morgan, what popular number? 90s heartthrob voiced
Starting point is 00:12:35 young Simba and the Lion King and also played Randy in Home Improvement. Oh, he has three names. What is it? Dang it. Yeah. It's in my head. I can see him.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Austin, Tyler Pruitt. Austin Tyler Pruitt is not right. That's Jonathan Taylor Thomas. That's correct. That is a winner. Nice job. He is a symbol.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Okay, yes. You know that? Mind-blown. Eddie, nice job, buddy. Thank you, man. Hey, what's the score? One to one. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Morgan No. 2's 32nd Spinney. Dolly Parton has been announced as one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees for 2022. Starting point is 00:14:22 Tell me something good. So Lazzania Love is a nonprofit that connects community members through kindness, goodwill, support. It all started during COVID back in 2020. and it started with a simple act of making a lasagna and giving it to someone. And then that just started to multiply and spread. And now 30,000 men and women around the world are making lasagnas and passing them out to people. And it's a true ripple effect.
Starting point is 00:14:50 They recently conducted a survey, the lasagna love, like on their social medias. And they found that people love to pay it forward within days of receiving their lasagna. It's a hearty meal. A good lasagna. Oh, yeah. It's so good. When it's done right. Man, I love a good lasagna.
Starting point is 00:15:06 Don't put vegetables in it, though. Somebody will ruin a lasagna, like, immediately. If I'm like, crunch, what the? That ain't love. That's lasagna hate. But Caitlin makes an awesome lasagna. I think when Scoobo Steve had his baby, we sent Scoobo Steve a Caitlin lasagna special, right?
Starting point is 00:15:21 It was. It's definitely my top three of the best lasagna that I've ever had. Boom. Wow. That's her Italian coming out. She's not at all. I'm not Italian at all.
Starting point is 00:15:29 All right, Amy. That's a great story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Amy's in a studio in California. She's able to hang out with us a little bit this hour. I was going to tell you a couple stories, Amy. So, Caitlin and I went to a class that was called a sound bathing class.
Starting point is 00:15:47 And I know that you wanted to do that. I think it was called like forest bathing or something. What was it called, Amy? Well, yes, forest bathing I've done, but I still have sound bath on my bucket list. Okay, so we did want, I had no interest. So you go into this class and they play all these sounds. And even Caitlin was like, what is happening here? But she wanted to do it because she thought it was interesting.
Starting point is 00:16:06 So we went in and I was like, okay, I'm really going to focus. I'm going to do that. You lay down and they play all these sounds and it's supposed to be some sort of meditation. I struggle with meditation. I haven't really found that it's for me, but I'm not shutting it all the way down. So I did it. And I don't know. It's an hour of class and I would say about four minutes into it.
Starting point is 00:16:22 I fell asleep. And there's a silence part of it where everything gets silence for like four minutes. And Caitlin said, all we heard was you going. Did they let you sleep or did they wake you up? They let me sleep. Well, that's nice. I slept for probably half an hour. That's great.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Isn't that what it's for? No, in meditation, you're supposed to be in between awake and asleep in that space. You're not supposed to go to sleep. And I'm telling you, I don't even remember. I remember coming out of it and I told Caitlin and said, hey, I think I've been meditating for the last half hour. She's like, no, you've been asleep. I feel really rested after that meditation. I was like, that meditation rocks, man.
Starting point is 00:16:56 I had a dream during it. It had nothing to do with this class. But, yeah, I fell asleep right into it. And so we kind of had like a day. where we went around and just hung out and did stuff. And we got a massage. And so, now that I'm down for. And I have a badly injured shoulder that's hurt me for like two years since my Nat Geo TV show.
Starting point is 00:17:14 And I'm constantly doing rehab on it. And so I was just going to talk to the masseuse and say, hey, just spend time on my shoulder. So we get in and we're getting a massage. And the masseuse, I take my shirt off and I have injured shoulder. She starts massaging me. And she goes, are you a professional athlete? She did not say that. No, where's the audio?
Starting point is 00:17:33 I don't record massages? I don't believe it. She said, are you, she goes, oh, you hurt your shoulder? I was like, yeah. She goes, are you a professional athlete? Ah! Wow. Come on!
Starting point is 00:17:43 And I was like, I am not, but thank you for saying that. Oh, you should have rolled with it then. Okay, I have a thought on that. What you say? Go ahead. Well, I'm sure that is something she has learned to say to her male clients. Okay, why can you just... No.
Starting point is 00:17:56 So that way they leave a bigger tip. No, why can't you just say, wow, that's very nice of her to say that. Hey, hold on. Because you're not a professional athlete. Did you leave a bigger tip because she said that? I left her a good tip regardless. Okay. Not bigger because she said that.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Why do you guys want to take away life's little joys for me? You know? You did scream with excitement there. She said, about three rubs in. She goes, oh, so you're injured? That's a good. One, two. Are you a professional athlete?
Starting point is 00:18:25 Ah! It's awesome. Let him have his joy. It's awesome. So that's what's been happening. here at home. One, sound bath. Two, mistaken identity.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Lunchbox turned down an acting role. What else happened in the last couple of days that we could share with Amy? Anything? I felt she's been gone. Oh, I didn't pay attention to something. Eddie got punished. Amy.
Starting point is 00:18:51 Amy, I know if anyone's going to understand what I went through, it was brutal. You're going to understand. I just spaced. And literally, what is it? Five seconds after he said it, I asked the same question. So he got a bark like a dog in a public place for 30 seconds now.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Oh my gosh. We'll do it next week. Also, Jason Aldeen called the show. Oh, that was great. Yes, you missed that. Wait, why? Okay, so we had Reese on, who is a sixth grade girl,
Starting point is 00:19:17 and she called and said, hey, is there any way I can get Jason Aldine to come to Springfield, Missouri and do my talent show with me? And I said, well, that's interesting. Probably not, but he could be listening right now. So let's see what happens.
Starting point is 00:19:28 I said, the thing to do would be to ask him for, like, a video to set up your performance instead of asking him to come because he's probably busy, a celebrity. And Jason texted me immediately. He's like, hey, I'm listening. So then we called him on speakerphone, talk to him, and Jason's like, boom, I'm going to make that video and send it up. It was amazing.
Starting point is 00:19:44 It was so organic and he just happened to be listening right when it happened. That is so special. I love that so much. And then Eddie's not snoozing anymore. Yeah, I'm on day what? Day one of no snoozing? He's trying. What's your advice, Amy?
Starting point is 00:19:58 I would say you just have to stick with it. The minute your alarm goes off, pop out of bed, no excuses, just get up. And obviously, the longer you do it, the easier it will get. But trust me, the beginning is rough. You just have to stick with it, though. I already ran into my first problem. So I'm just habit of snoozing, but I got up. I snoozed, but I popped up, jumped in the shower.
Starting point is 00:20:21 Oh, my gosh, the alarm woke up the whole family. Because I'm just used to snoozing. So the alarm went off while I was in the shower. Yeah, that's tough. That's on you, though, buddy. That's just growing things. That's on you. That's all on you. That's not on us. That's not on us. It's all on you. All right, Amy's on with us. We'll check in about the movie in just a little bit.
Starting point is 00:20:36 All right, this guy's Scott. He was 5'7. And I say was because he had that surgery. Now he's 5'10. You got taller? Yeah. He's still getting used to his new legs after having what he calls life-altering surgery. He underwent a procedure that would make him permanently taller. And so about $75,000, he went in at $5.7? It's a week's long process of lengthening and then surgery and then 510, which is about an inch taller than the average American man. Average man's 5.9.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Really? That's weird. I'm so big. We're above average. We're huge. Eddie's six foot. Thank you. He's not.
Starting point is 00:21:16 Yes, my ID says 511, but I mean, that's originally when I was 18. I never changed it. Well, we measured, we stood beside you other than I was about this much taller than him. I mean, it may be smaller. Pinch it a little closer. Okay. So I like to say Eddie's six foot. Eddie, you're now six foot.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Oh, you're six one. And they made us take our shoes off because in shoes now, I'm like six to four. Your wife saw us and she said we're about the same. No, she did. I'm a little taller. Scott has 25 works in digital media said he was looked down upon because of his size so they wouldn't have this done. Painful, but he's three inches taller.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Ray, if someone offered you this for free because you're five, six, if someone said for free, we'll hook you up, but it's going to hurt. Would you do it? Yeah, I would do it. It's probably going to affect your running. I'm not going to ever be an athlete and play professionally. So there's no real reason for me to do it. I'm married.
Starting point is 00:22:04 It's not like it's going to be in my jeans for my kids. So really, unless it's free, there's no point for me to get height surgery. Well, maybe you think people aren't giving you a fair shake because you're short. No, I'm good. I got the personality makes up for it. Oh, cool. Is there, Ray, is there discrimination towards that? Do you feel that?
Starting point is 00:22:20 No, the only thing it sucks at is bars. What I've realized sometimes when I dip into one, man, everybody's tall in those. So if you're trying to talk to somebody, you're like, Hey, yeah, it's been good at work. How are you? I thought you're going to say you couldn't get the tenter of the bar to enter that couldn't see you. Look down here, man. Hey, man, I'm down about me. Don't forget, you're a short king, and it's short king's spring.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Yep. Okay, so all this spring, it's about you. Yeah. So we had a doctor on back in January of 2021 that actually did this. So when I read this story, I was like, wow, we've had this guy. Oh, wow, that's right. So his name is Dr. Kevin. His limb lengthening surgeries went viral.
Starting point is 00:22:55 and so he had a guy that was 5-11, now 6-2 after the surgery. And so here's the first clip where I was like, hey, how much is this cost? Johnny is the starting price for one surgery is about $75,000. So it's not cheap. The implant itself takes up more than half of the percentage of that price. So it's a pretty expensive procedure. 75,000 bucks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:18 So you're getting three inches taller. It's basically $25,000 an inch. But that's a huge difference in height. I just wonder how weird you look. like you're just three inches taller, like you didn't put on any weight. Right. It's just like, right. And what are they, aren't they adding stuff to your back or something?
Starting point is 00:23:36 So your legs don't get longer. You may look a little out of proportion. I asked them and say, hey, how much taller can you get? Like, okay, two, three inches I see. But like, what's the max we could do here? In your thigh bone, you can probably get the maximum capacity of the nail, which is about 80 millimeters, which is almost 3.2 inches. in the lower leg, which is the tibia bone,
Starting point is 00:23:57 you could probably safely get anywhere between two and a half to three inches. So in combination, you can get close to six inches apart. So it is legs. Okay, so it's legs. But you could go six inches up. Right, think about your life how different it'd be if you were six foot tall. You and I be looking eye to eye, having chats, man-to-man, just standing there in the hallway. It'd be fine now, but in 30 years, it would be bad news.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Instead of now, you made me sit down to talk to you, and I don't like that. I'm kidding. He doesn't. And then my question is to how long would it take to recover? And so we asked us doctor who does limb-lengthening surgeries. Here you go. Generally, we keep you in hospital for approximately two days, but we get you up walking within four hours after the surgery, usually with a walking aid.
Starting point is 00:24:39 And generally, you're off that age in about two weeks or so. And back to your normal activities like driving, going back to office work. That's what it's up by the two-week mark. I wonder if you're all goofy like a baby deer. Right, not knowing how to use your legs. It's like, oh, oh, oh. Bambi.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Imagine being six inches taller. You probably feel like you're on those, what are the stilts? Yeah, a little stilts. Weird. Well, for the low, low price of $75,000, you too can grow three inches. That's crazy. Identity theft may sound complicated. It's just going to be complicated for you if it happens.
Starting point is 00:25:12 It stinks. In some cases, all a thief needs to carry out one of these shopping scams is your name, your mailing address, your email address, and your phone number. They can find that. You know, they can start an online store account and add their own shipping. info. Then they purchase items on the account without your knowledge, leaving you with the bills and the collection notices. Starting point is 00:29:11 So she's going to be me in this. Okay. Oh, okay. Yeah. Oh, yes. Okay, I'm ready. All right, a woman named Natalie noticed in vacation pictures from Disney World
Starting point is 00:29:21 that her husband and her nanny were a bit too close while riding Splash Mountain. And so she called him on it. She says that her now ex-husband and her former nanny are living together and just had a baby.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Okay, so she was right. Natalie says the nanny filed a police report against her for calling her a bad name. There's charge of been dropped. But yes, she saw them in a picture way too close. The name was like leaning her head onto his shoulder.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Yeah, I get it. And it was going. Because at first I'm thinking roller coaster, you're just there, you're there. You have no choice of how close you are. But if you're leaning in, holding on to them. One, they're riding together. Then two, it's a little too close. I get it.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Three mistakes that can cost you more money at the grocery store if you're not paying attention. This is from go banking rates. Number one, shopping without a plan. If you go to the grocery store, you need to know at the grocery store what you're going to get and then go and get it. If you go without a plan, you all, will-nilly looking everywhere, getting everything. Oh, that looks good. Oh, I might make this. All of a sudden, there's a bunch of stuff that you're never eating. It just looks good at the moment because you might be hungry.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Yeah. The next one is not using curbside pickup. Ordering online for curbside pickup isn't just convenient. It's a way to stay focused. That's good. Because you're on the app and you're ordering and you're not seeing all the potato. All the things again, I was to go back to number one. Yep. You're ordering only what you need. So it's not even so much about the curbside. It's the fact that you're on, it doesn't look at it when you're scrolling your finger. You just get what you need, not what you want. And then finally, the name brand reflex. So they point out that people are prone to reach for name brand items at the supermarket, but opting for store brands can save you at 30 to 40 percent. So if you just go with the open mind of if there are similar products, I don't have to get fruit loops.
Starting point is 00:31:01 I can get boot loops. You have those. They'll taste the same. Yeah, same. Yeah. Well, the cereal, I don't know if that might be a little bit different, but I've, like, a can of beans or a can of tomatoes. Like, all of that is totally the same.
Starting point is 00:31:17 And sometimes, yes, you can save, like, over a dollar just by getting the store brand. Scientists have nailed down the ideal amount of sleep in middle and old age. New research has found that run seven hours of sleep is the ideal night's rest with insufficient and excess sleep associated with almost the same things. Like, if you get too little sleep and too much sleep, you don't pay attention as well. It's hard to remember and learn new things. solve problems, make decisions. But seven hours is if you are middle age, that's what you need.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Eight and a half to nine as you get older. You need more sleep. Which is why, Eddie, you'd like you get a little more. Man, I slept nine hours the other day and I felt great. And it's perfect for you. That's for CNN. A woman spends $70,000 turning herself into a human Barbie doll. Her name's Jesse Bunny.
Starting point is 00:32:06 She does her family. No, you don't want to do. It's not good. Really? Yeah, it's not good. Backspace. You can look. It's not good.
Starting point is 00:32:12 gross, but it just, it looks like a plastic. Yeah. Like, everything is exaggerated. She wanted to look just like Barbie. Her waist, her boobs, her lips, everything's too big. Oh, no. She wears a 12-N bra. It's wild. As in nice.
Starting point is 00:32:29 That's a dumbest thing ever. It is not noise. Did you look at her? Yeah. Wait, is it noise? He's not grinsin. He said nice. The ends are nice. The face, I mean, the lips are just gross. I can't do the lips.
Starting point is 00:32:44 But if she would have stopped at this one where I'm looking at her in the purple dress, looks pretty good, right, Eddie? Okay. Don't rope me into this. Next up, Gary Allen is warning fans of scammers using his name to ask for money. He posted a clip of him talking about it. Here you go. I want to take a minute and remind everybody that I do not have private social media handles, no separate handles.
Starting point is 00:33:07 I'm not asking you for money. If anyone contacts you with any other handles besides. these official handles. It's a scam. Wouldn't it be funny if one of the artists, like, when everybody's like, they zagged and they're like, hey, all these accounts are me.
Starting point is 00:33:20 I just want to let you know. Break them off a little something. But unless they have a blue check mark, don't do it. All right, that's it. Amy, what do you say at the end of this? I'm Amy, and that's my pile. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:33:33 That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay home there's something good. Brandon Delke and his fianc say we're driving home from a date night. When they come up on a scene, they see a truck in a pond on its side. And he's like, oh, man, the headlights are still on.
Starting point is 00:33:51 This crash must have just happened. Pulls over, runs, jumps in the pond, climbs on top of the truck, and sees the driver still stuck inside. So he's trying to break the window. Boom. Boom. Can't. Officer arrives, tosses him his baton. And so Brandon says,
Starting point is 00:34:08 breaks the black windshield. But the driver's seatbelted in and he can't reach him. It's like everything going wrong. nine things. Yeah. So then he breaks the windshield, reaches inside, unlocks the truck door, and then unbuckles him and him and the officer pull the guy to safety.
Starting point is 00:34:23 And the guy, minor injuries, lucky to be alive, and Brandon said, listen, the only thing I'm disappointed is I ruined my suit, my shoes, but I'm sad that more people didn't stop to help. Yeah, that cop also made a heck of a throw. Because you got one shot to get that baton to that dude. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Because obviously not super close, so he'd have jumped and did it. Yeah. And then a good catch. Like everything had to happen right And it did That's a great story That is what it's all about That was tell me something good Amy's on with us from Hollywood
Starting point is 00:34:54 Let's do the morning corny But since Amy's not here Let's go around the room And I'll do one Here we go The morning corny I'll go first Although this one's so dated
Starting point is 00:35:08 That I don't know That people are going to get it Okay What do Batman's parents say when dinner is ready? What do Batman's parents say when dinner is ready? Dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, Batman.
Starting point is 00:35:23 That is so dated. But you'd have to know like the 60s TV show. That's like the original. Morgan, would you have known? Yeah, I got, I laughed. I got a little giggle out. I had a standby. How much did dumplings weigh?
Starting point is 00:35:35 How much do dumplings weigh? Wonton. Nice. Yeah, thank you. Okay, Amy, you're up. What is your joke? The morning corny. What kind of music do chiropractors like?
Starting point is 00:35:49 What kind of music do chiropractors like? What? Hip pop. That's funny. That's a good one. All right, Eddie, what's yours? All right. Did you hear about the guy who burnt the Hawaiian pizza?
Starting point is 00:36:00 Uh-uh. You should have cooked that at Aloha temperature. Aloha. Nice, Amy, you got it. No, I get it. Aloha. Aloha. Lunch Fox?
Starting point is 00:36:12 I'm going to save you guys. Thank you, because we're struggling right now with that one. What do you got? What do you call a book club stuck on the same book for years? What do you call a book club stuck on the same book for years? Church. Survival? That's funny. That's good.
Starting point is 00:36:31 That one's good. Cerebral even. I think they were all pretty good. Hey, no, Eddie Gertr's terrible. Yeah, Eddie Gers is terrible. Come on. Ray, do you have one? Yep.
Starting point is 00:36:39 Go ahead. What does LeBron James do immediately after he plays an in? NBA playoff game. What does LeBron James do immediately after he plays an NBA playoff game? He turns off his PlayStation 5. That's funny. Did you write that? Yeah, that's good, because LeBron James didn't make playoffs. I mean, it's not a great joke.
Starting point is 00:36:57 I like it, though. He's riding his own. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, there you go. That was the Morning Corny. For those that don't get that one, he didn't make the playoffs. Lakers didn't make the playoffs after he guaranteed they would. And Ray's joke was, what does he do when he's done?
Starting point is 00:37:11 He turns off his video game. That's funny. Good job, Ray. Good job, Amy. Good job, everybody. Yeah, come on, come on. Thanks. All right, this is about to be fun.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Matt Stel and his mom. By the way, Matt Stowe, you would know him from this number one song. And here's this second number one song. And here's this second number one song. Trying to keep your memory out of reach. But there you were in the Delta night. The Santa Fein' Son The Bobby Bones show now
Starting point is 00:37:50 Matt Stow Well what I just learned Matt Is that your mom did not know She was going to be on the air with us this morning Yeah, surprise Yeah, thanks. Thanks for that. It's Mother's Day week
Starting point is 00:37:59 And he said that you were coming in with him And I was like, oh, this is very exciting Because I've known Matt for a little bit now And I was like, I get to meet his mom And then you walked in, you're like, What am I doing here? Yeah, well, he told me that We were going to breakfast
Starting point is 00:38:13 And I was like, okay, and he said, well, you know, don't wear teacher clothes. And I'm like, really? For breakfast, what does it matter? So now I get it. Now I'm going to kill him. This is the same way I like proposed to my wife. I was like, hey, let me get dinner, so stay dressed up.
Starting point is 00:38:29 And then I lured her into it. Well, first of all, I'm Bobby. It's really nice to meet you. I'm a big fan. Oh, thanks. Yeah, big fan. So what do I call you, though? Do I call you?
Starting point is 00:38:37 Lisa. Are you sure? Uh-huh. Oh, yeah. And you say you're not in teacher clothes. Are you a teacher? I was an educator, yeah. And is there a difference in teacher clothes and like the great outfit you have on right now?
Starting point is 00:38:49 Well, teacher clothes are usually more comfortable. Then I wear teacher clothes every day. Every single day, I've raised her back shorts on. So, Matt, let me come to you for a second. You have a new song that you're going to play for us. And so we're trying to figure out how this all, I know what the answer is here, but how it all fits together. Your new song is called what?
Starting point is 00:39:08 Manmade is my new song. What is it about? It's sort of about the reason that anyone does. most of anything, which is, you know, the women in their lives, to some extent or another. And, you know, my mom and I've, she's probably like my best friend for the most part. You know, we don't talk about some things, but. What do you not talk about? Let's talk about it here. Let's get it. I'm kidding. Yeah, let's do it. Yeah, we're really close. And mom has done a whole lot in her life. She got most of her
Starting point is 00:39:39 doctorate done as a single mom and she's right now the number one barrel racer in pole bender in her region of Arkansas and she's just kind of an all around get your bleat but she's a badass and so this song is about things that dudes do but it's also kind of about
Starting point is 00:39:55 badass women and the reason you know why we do stuff and you've also done a lot of your own stuff too so and stunts apparently as a barrel racer. You really do that? That's not a joke? Yeah I'm a barrel racer and pole bender. I don't know what a pole bender is. I know what a barrel racer is. It's another rodeo event where you go through six poles real fast on a horse. Dang. Wow. Yeah. She got thrown off a horse two years ago and
Starting point is 00:40:18 like fractured her pelvis and that's that sucked for everybody. That horse had to go. Yeah. So did you get back on the horse? Not the same horse, but a different horse? Yeah. Wow. Yeah. How long have you been doing that? Did you grow up in rodeo? I grew up with horses. I, you know, I'm a country girl, so I grew up out in the country and we always had horses. Did you grow up in Arkansas? So did I. Did you know that? I did. I did. I did. I never know. I never know.
Starting point is 00:40:45 I know all your books. I read all your books. Thank you very much. Okay. So I have questions about Matt, if that's okay. Great. Okay. So Matt Stelle is here. Revenge of the mom. And his mom is here. So when Matt was, I don't know, nine, ten, eleven years old, like what kind of young kid was he? It was very bright kid, high energy, very strong-willed. Those are nice ways to say an awful.
Starting point is 00:41:12 That's really sweet. No, he was a good kid. He was a lot of fun. He was athletic, so, you know, I played sports, so we did a lot of sports together. You know, but I had to keep him busy. Well, he's six, seven, would that be accurate? Okay, so I'm going to ask this in the gentless way possible. when you give birth to a baby that ends up growing into a six, seven man, is that baby big?
Starting point is 00:41:37 Well, he was a little over eight pounds, but he didn't really become, he didn't leave his peers until about the summer of his 11th grade. I mean, he was never the shortest kid in the class, but he was pretty average up until that point. And then when he hit 10th grade, 11th grade, he had a tremendous growth spurt and he even grew, in college. Did you buy him his first guitar? Yeah, when he was about 12, and he played it Christmas morning, and that was about it. What do you mean about it? He played it Christmas morning, and then it went into a closet, and it didn't come back out until he asked me to bring it up one home game, a college home game, to his dorm, and he said, yeah, you know that guitar that you got me when I was 12, I yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:30 And he said, can you bring that? And so, and then the rest is history. So you only played it like one time? You had no interest in music? I had, I was not equipped to sit still for any length of time. And at 12 years old at all, yeah, I just, I couldn't do it. And so, but I eventually, she knows me better than myself. So it's like, thanks for the guitar.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Why would you get on a guitar at age 12? Did he have an interest in learning? Well, we have a musical family, and I wanted him to learn the piano. And so he didn't want to learn the piano. If he had to learn an instrument, he wanted to learn the drums. So, okay, we'll do the drums. And so he... So bad.
Starting point is 00:43:14 Yeah. So, you know, so... And then from the drums, I said, well, you know, you need to learn chords, and you need to... Because it's good for your mind to learn music, whether you're musical or not. So, yeah, so I got the guitar hoping that, you know, he would gravitate toward it at some point. And didn't seem like that took for many, many years. Well, you had to plant seeds with Matt.
Starting point is 00:43:40 As a long seed. It's a long seed. That's a six-year seed there. You're in it for the long haul. Why did you start to want to play guitar in college, Matt? What was it that was happening where you're like, dang, I should kind of start to do this? Well, I figured out that I always. had a passion for music. I just thought, like, I knew every song on the radio. I did,
Starting point is 00:44:02 and I just thought that everybody was that way. And then, you know, I went to college and I saw that, you know, that I was, there were people that love music, but I was a little atypical that way. And then I fell in love with, like, songwriting very early on. Like, I started writing songs as soon as I could mash four chords together. And that was, that was a lot of what drove me to learn how to, how to play and keep playing. And then I, and then, you know, I found out that, We had a great time when I did it at the Signew House and the other bars and stuff around town later on. And so that was a big part of it too, is hanging out with buddies and things like that. But really the songwriting part of it was really what put its hooks in me.
Starting point is 00:44:42 When Matt is going to school and he's quite educated, he gets his bachelor's degree, gets his master's degree, but then he wants to go and play sticky fingers. Or you as a mom going, son. love it for you but you have to be going there's this career path it's dead in for 99.9% of people like did you have that talk
Starting point is 00:45:05 with him? Never never as soon as you know he sets his mind and commits to something he's in it and so no I told him to follow his passion
Starting point is 00:45:19 and he was young he didn't have any you know he didn't have a wife for children I said if you're going to try this, you need to try it while you're still single. And no, after we, after he had invited us up that one time at the home game, he said, hey, I want to, I want you to hear something. And he pulled out that guitar, because I didn't know he was, you know, learning the guitar after I took it back up there. And he said, oh, I want you to hear something. And he played Sheepskin Road.
Starting point is 00:45:51 He'd written this song about his Paul Amos that encapsulated the man. entire life in two verses. And we all just cried. I mean, it was we were shocked, you know, and I thought, oh yeah, you're going to have to follow this.
Starting point is 00:46:09 This is good. So, no, I never, never had any doubts that he wouldn't at least give it a try. And then if it didn't work out, at least he gave it as all. Were you able to go to his Aubrey debut? Oh my God, yes. me and everybody that lives in Cintan Ridge, Arkansas, there were like 400-something people from our hometown.
Starting point is 00:46:30 Even the mailman came. Really? Yes, yes. And what was that like for you to watch your son in the circle at the Grand Ole Opry? It was surreal. His stepmom and I held hands and just prayed through the whole thing. We were excited and nervous and wishing his dad was there. and it was fantastic.
Starting point is 00:46:55 You know, anytime you can be in a high stress situation like that, especially in front of your community, you know, that's a lot of pressure. And I thought, if you can do this, you can do anything. And it was just magical. It really was. He just knocked it out of the park. Would you be upset to be cursed in a song?
Starting point is 00:47:15 I don't like him using some cuss words. No. Yeah. Which ones do you not like him using it? You don't have to say it. What's the first letter? Yeah, I don't like the F word. That'd be a tough one to do in a song, though.
Starting point is 00:47:27 Yeah, I try to not as much as possible, like... Which ones are okay? Yeah. Yeah, you just don't know. Which ones are okay, though? Like, damn, hell. Okay, but those two and only those two? Well, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:40 The others are kind of jarring, and for his fan base, and I always think about his grandma. If it makes his grandma cringe, you shouldn't do it. I like that. That's my target demo. way to go through life. That's right. That's right. Who is your favorite country artist that isn't your son? I really like Chris Bandy. I really think he has a cool vibe, a cool voice, and I really like
Starting point is 00:48:07 Chris Bandy. You know, the story about Matt getting a tattoo on his chest, and the picture was posted. How did you see the tattoo on his chest? With everyone else. Oh, you did? So it wasn't a... Yeah. And you didn't like that. Well, I think it got misconstrued because it wasn't the tattoo. I don't have anything against people getting tattoos. But for it was for the reason behind the tattoo is a little bit deeper. You know, when you're a single mom, you worry to death, you know, that your kid is not going to follow a path from drugs or alcohol or those kind of things. And he's always been really good to be his own man and not kind of succumb to peer pressure.
Starting point is 00:48:50 and it always worries me. You know, I was afraid it was a sign that he was succumbing to the pressures of the community and peer pressure. You should take it as a sign. Yeah. Yes, for sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:01 But then after I saw that it wasn't a spur of the moment thing that he had really thought it out and it wasn't an impulse. That was okay. Yeah, I really thought. I got this tattoo. I had a buddy that had a 10-year anniversary party
Starting point is 00:49:17 in Vegas, and they had had like this, they rented out this sweet thing. And they hired a tattoo artist to come to the room and give out tattoos. And he did like 25 tattoos that night. So looking back, it might have been a little bit peer pressure. Well, since then, the wheels have fallen off. I'm just going to let you know from me to you. I'm sitting in front of you. It's not been pretty the last few months. So, okay, Matt Stell is here. His mom is here. It's Mother's Day Week. The beauty of this is, she had no idea she was going to be on the show. So truth is, I thought you knew.
Starting point is 00:49:51 No. I saw you in the hallway and I was like, oh, she's getting the... No, I was just excited. He was going to be on your show. And so I was all pumped when I walked in. I thought that was the surprise was that he was going to be on Bobby Bones show this morning. So I was all psyched. Oh, are you?
Starting point is 00:50:06 Here we go. It's like they were having to drag me to the chair and I'm like, what? I'm not supposed to hear. I'm going to kill you later. Well, this has been amazing. I'm glad you came in. You're so good. For someone who didn't really want to do this, you hopped in.
Starting point is 00:50:19 You can tell that you have a lot of poise and you've had to speak in front of a lot of folks. Is this part of what you do is have to, I don't know, you're highly educated. You're talking to teachers. I don't know what's happening here. Oh, I did. Yeah. Teach administrators, legislators, all kinds of stuff. I'm retired.
Starting point is 00:50:38 She'll downplay a lot of what she's done. But she has helped a lot of people, obviously me the most. but she invented giving college credit to high school kids in school. Wait, what do you mean by that? She instituted a program in Arkansas where if you paid, what, 50 bucks a semester for a class, you could go take, like, Comp 1 and 2. What year did you do that? Do you know?
Starting point is 00:51:03 It was about 2014, something like that. So if you pay 50 bucks, you could go take classes? Your class would count for, like, if you wouldn't take Comp 1 at UCA, let's say, it would count as your credit for graduating high school, and you would graduate high school. You could graduate high school with an AA degree. And if you had free and reduced lunch, it was free. Wow.
Starting point is 00:51:27 She did all that. Well, I mean, you spearheaded it. A lot of people helped you. But, yeah. So we're not, my mom is a badass. She's the sweetest lady in the world, but she gets stuff done. It sounds like you're both proud of each other, which is pretty cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:43 Yeah. Well, I'm proud of me. Well, let me ask you both because Matt has his master's and you have your doctorate, he just said. Well, I mean, I don't mean to brag myself, but next weekend I'll be getting Monterey doctorates. We're basically all the same. We're basically all the same. I thought that. Hey, Matt, just let a couple doctors talk, if you don't mind.
Starting point is 00:52:01 You might just sit down. Not qualify. So do we feel like it's pretty ridiculous that I'll be getting an honorary doctorate? No, I think it's awesome. All right. You can keep yours then. Yeah. You work for hers.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right. She worked for hers. Okay, Matt's going to hang out and is going to play his new song. And I saw your recording. Will you, like, record Matt up here on your phone? Is that when he plays? Is this still a mom thing where you record a mom?
Starting point is 00:52:26 I know. I really geek out. Still, it just never gets old. You know. That means you still love him. Do you post it on social media? I do. I mean, sometimes I'll ask him, but sometimes I won't.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Do your friends back home, they think that you're even cooler now, that your son's becoming a big star? Well, I've kind of lost my name. Oh, you're Matt Stells' mom. Which is okay. Because you used to be... I used to be Lisa's boy. Okay, we're going to come back.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Matt's going to play his new song. Thank you for coming in. Thank you. This has just been delightful. Well, it's been fun. Happy Mother's Day. He better get you something really nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:06 Does he get you something nice on Mother's Day? Or does he forget? No, he never forgets. Even if it's just a funny card. Why are you winking at me right now? I'm not. Okay, okay, okay. All right, we'll come back with Matt Stell.

Starting point is 00:56:20 a little treat for us. You get to see Matt Stale behind the scenes. Oh, yeah. And isn't that what we all want to see what the real Matt Stelle is like? Isn't that it? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:56:28 and the world's best Mother's Day present. That's right. So Matt Stelle is here. So tell me about this song, Matt. So you heard it, you loved it. What about it stuck out to you? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:38 I mean, I heard this song, and it hit me in a way. It does everything my favorite songs do, my favorite country songs. It turns a lyric in an interesting way. It has a melody I want to sing over and over. And it's also, like, has a positive vibe to it, which, you know, I'm not always, you know, Matt and I, we run up and down the roads listening to sad songs on our happiest days. So when a song like that can come along and kind of punch me in the gut in the best way, man, that's kind of when I know that I want to sing it for a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:57:08 here he is Matt Stell doing man-made. Skyscraber, record player, Kentucky 80 proof, a telephone, radio, and footpress on the moon. The plane, the car, and all the parts that make a light bulb shine. There's a lot of things a man-made, but one reason why. Because all us boys Want to grow up And make our mama's proud To find that girl
Starting point is 00:57:58 That lifts us up And life gets us down Behind any guy doing anything right There's a woman's work at hand If a man made anything It's cause a woman made That man At Stell in the studio
Starting point is 00:58:28 How many times you you play that song live like that? Not that many yet, man. We just kind of just kind of adding it to the set and it's a lot of fun to have new music out and play it for folks while they're listening. So yeah, yeah. You get nervous about playing new music when you're doing a live show? Because if it doesn't hit, it really doesn't hit. Right, right. Man, sometimes, yeah, it's like, especially to, you know, songs with like lower energy, you know, it's a little bit more risk reward there because you kind of hoping drunks listen to words. and which is tough sometimes, but man, sometimes a song like this comes along and it's like,
Starting point is 00:59:06 man, I feel like either they'll listen that night or they'll listen on the way home or something like that, if it's brand new. Yeah, I don't see a problem with that one being listened to. That's a good one, man. Thanks, bro. Yeah, Matt Stel, that is man-made. And again, thanks to Matt's mom for coming by. And when are you releasing like a body of work? Because I think I got her two songs, two new songs, the boyfriend song. Yeah, man, we've got new work in the pipeline.
Starting point is 00:59:28 I would love to say that I knew when, but I know it soon. It'll probably be sometime in late summer, early fall, that we'll have a full body workout. And I cannot wait, man. We've got a bunch of a bunch of bulletin. Is any of a good? Just be honest. I don't need all of it. Is any of it good?
Starting point is 00:59:46 I'm going to be 100. Yes. Okay, good. It's all I need to know. And we will wait patiently. All right, you guys follow Matt at Matt Stel on Instagram. And good to see you. And we'll see you.
Starting point is 00:59:56 Good to see you. Pick suit. It's time. for the good news. With producer Eddie. Yeah, I'll make something good. Last October, 13-year-old Gage Townsend was diagnosed
Starting point is 01:00:07 with the type of bone cancer. They had to remove some muscle from his leg and put in a metal rod. So there's the organization was like, we want to do something special for him. They're called Covenant Care. And he's really wanted to see the new Batman movie,
Starting point is 01:00:18 so he wanted to do a private screen. And they said, you know what, we'll do better than that. They picked him up in a limo, him and all his buddies. They went to the theater, and there were 13 superheroes waiting for him and say,
Starting point is 01:00:29 Come on, guys. Can you imagine being a kid and 13 superheroes are there? Yeah. Even right now, if I go in 13th, that's still cool. Yeah, they're like, we're all going to watch the movie together. So they did have their private screening and they had a blast. That would be so cool. It's like I spent a decent amount of time in the hospital as a kid.
Starting point is 01:00:46 And if there were people cleaning my windows and superhero outfits. Yeah, I know. I love it when they do that. I'd have thought it was the coolest thing ever. And that's on the first floor. And I'd still be like, that's awesome. All right. Thank you, Eddie.
Starting point is 01:00:55 That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Amy's back on with us. She's in Los Angeles this morning. I have a couple things that I want to tell you about. But again, when it comes to what you've been doing, Amy, did you have a big fancy wardrobe out on that movie set? I had wardrobe pull some dresses for me,
Starting point is 01:01:14 but I ended up bringing one from home. So I ended up wearing that. You wore your own clothes? I did. They had options for me, but they said if I felt more comfortable than my own things, that was totally fine. So I brought my own stuff.
Starting point is 01:01:28 And you're playing yourself. in this movie on HBO Max. Did they keep all your lines? Did they cut any? They add any? Well, some got moved around and switched. Uh-oh, that doesn't sound good. Oh, no. You got a good job.
Starting point is 01:01:42 So some got pulled, but then others got added, so I don't really know how it ended up balancing out. I guess we'll find out. And then also, you know, the cutting room floor. Yeah, I've been there. Yeah. But I thought you said your role was pivotal. It is. It is.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Is it still? Do you get murdered? I don't know. No, but it, okay, so it's towards the end and it's with the main character. And I, my pivotal scene takes place in the bathroom. Oh. My mind's going crazy right now. Sounds gross.
Starting point is 01:02:16 Stall to stall. So, yeah. It helps with the main characters, what should I say? A big decision they need to make. So, okay. do you want to act more? I guess it'll be the last question as you're out in Hollywood right now.
Starting point is 01:02:33 Yes. Yes. And one of the writers on this movie had one of the biggest Netflix movies. Well, two of them. They ended up getting a sequel like in 2020, California Christmas. Like it's like what was one of my favorites.
Starting point is 01:02:47 I watched it. Never. Yeah. I'm sure it's cool. That's cool. Okay, of course, because you're not into Christmas movies. But it got a sequel. So there was already buzz
Starting point is 01:02:54 that like they're aiming for a sequel with this one. And they said if they did, if they do a sequel, then obviously we'll be back. Obviously. Wow. I think. Everybody's trying to be an actor on this show now. Well, it's awesome, dude.
Starting point is 01:03:09 No, a sequel and she's automatically guaranteed a role? Come on now. Hey, Amy, you know Lunchbox turned down his acting job yesterday. What? The one in Chilicothe, Ohio, the small role in the independent movie? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He turned it down. Well, he got his agent on the phone.
Starting point is 01:03:25 Yeah, we had my agent on the phone and my agent. didn't think it was a big enough role for me, so we had to decline. Who's your agent? It was him. No, it was in me. He had recorded a thing of him talking to himself, and he was trying to do a fake impression of an agent. No, what was his name? Jackson Hughes? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:03:40 Yes, that's his name. So anyway, Lunchbox is out of the game. Amy's in the game now. She's our resident actor. No, she is not. She is not. Okay, well, Lunchbox, I have a thought. Since you play an agent yourself, you have an agent.
Starting point is 01:03:53 In this movie, I have an agent. and maybe for the sequel, you could be my agent. Well, how come I wasn't the original agent? Well, I don't know. I didn't need one in the actual. It's just like part of my script. You can write your own role, buddy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:06 Like Matt Damon, they wrote Goodwill Hunting. That's what you need to do. Go write your own movie. Write you in a movie that's so good. They got to make the movie with you in it. It's too much work. He wouldn't do it. Eddie, you know how hard writing is?
Starting point is 01:04:18 Write a short film. Five-minute short film. Okay. I'll tell you what. Okay. If you do a five-minute short film and it's good, I will make sure that people in high places see it. Wow.
Starting point is 01:04:30 All right. Okay, deal? Let me talk to my acting class, see if anybody wants to get on the writing board with me. Right, no, no, right. You write it. You write it. Solo. Yeah, you got it.
Starting point is 01:04:39 All right. Anyway, Amy will be back tomorrow in studio. She has been in California, acting a little movie. It's going to be pretty cool. All we know about it is Christmas and HBO. So anything else you want to add, Amy, before we go? I'm just, I'm smiling ear to ear still, and I'm excited to see y'all tomorrow in person. Oh, I got a question.
Starting point is 01:04:55 Did you steal anything from the story? set to like commemorate your experience. My little script thingy, they print your script out on this little teeny tiny thing so that way it's easy to carry around. And I'm keeping that for memorabilia. That's all I took. Lunchbox will sign it when you come back. Yeah, I will. Bobby Bones here. Check this out. You could save over $500 on your car insurance with the general insurance. You've heard that right, $500. Call 800 general or visit the general.com. to save today. The General Auto Insurance Services Inc. and Insurance Agency, Nashville, Tennessee, some restrictions apply. And now, the most important segment of the day, your news stories. Here we go.
Starting point is 01:05:37 Bobby's Big. Stories. Okay. Amanda Christine Riley, 37 years old, was sentenced to five years in prison on Tuesday. She'll have to pay restitution and she'll be placed under surveillance for three years after she is released. She faked cancer for seven years, shaved her head. $100,000 in donation. It's a whole situation. This is terrible. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:06:00 She pleaded guilty last year to solicitating over $105,000 to pay for cancer treatments. She did not have cancer. She did not have cancer. That is just a bad deal. Can't you fake something that isn't as... Yeah. But you're not going to get as much money. I know.
Starting point is 01:06:16 That's the problem. That's a life you live. That's showbiz, baby. You go full cancer fake. There's a hallway. Straight to AT double hockey sticks. Yeah, it's one way. One way street.
Starting point is 01:06:25 You don't come back. That's when you click the Southwest, you click the button that goes one way and it shuts off the half the screen. That's right. That's this. And if you go to the airport to come back, it's all canceled. That's right. They're like, sorry, you can't go back. You have no friends.
Starting point is 01:06:38 Oh, that's terrible. That's from the Daily Mail. All right. In court Tuesday, family members detailed how she's caring and said that she made a mistake and they asked for a light sentence. That's where they need a trap door in courtrooms, where the judge just pulls the rope. They fall right into a cell, yes. Like, only situations like that. Another story. Elon Musk on Tuesday night hinted at the possibility that businesses and government agencies could face a fee to use Twitter.
Starting point is 01:07:05 Twitter will always be free for casual users, he said, but a slight cost for commercial and government users could exist. Elon Musk tweeted. How old do you think he is, Eddie? Elon Musk is probably 55. Okay, he's 50. Okay. I guess he's ageless to me. Not young or old. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:07:25 he's just Elon Musk. Because he looks like he gets old by like the year. It just exists. I think he's been around for like 200 years. What do you think about this move he's making? Like if he does charge businesses and government. I think if he owns it, go for it. It's your business.
Starting point is 01:07:42 Could hurt it, could make it better. I don't know. Twitter doesn't make money. At least not consistently. They're up and down. So I don't care. It's not going to affect my life. A lot of people are butt hurt over Twitter changing hands.
Starting point is 01:07:54 I don't care. As long as I can tweet, I almost got fish yesterday on Twitter. I got a message from someone. There's a blue check mark. And the message in my DMs said, Hey, Twitter user, your blue badge Twitter account has been reviewed as spam by our Twitter team. Click here. La, la, la.
Starting point is 01:08:13 But there was a blue check mark next to the person. Wow. So I go to her page and it says that she is a blue badge Twitter. Like police. Yeah. Turns out she got hacked once they had her. account, they changed her header. And since she had a blue checkmark, they started sending
Starting point is 01:08:29 it out to folks. Wow. I never clicked it, because I don't click anything anymore. Dude, I bet they got a lot of people on that one. Oh, I almost clicked it. Yeah, wow. Because I love my blue check mark. All right, so Elon Musk says Twitter can charge. It's from New York Post. Ludacris got an honorary degree in music
Starting point is 01:08:45 management from his alma mater, Georgia State University. Give it to me now. He got an honorary degree in Bachelor and Science of Music management. The Fast and Furious Legend addressed more than 800 master's degree graduates. He was in the program in the 90s, but he
Starting point is 01:09:03 signed a record deal and left and did his own thing. Obviously became ludicrous, but he got a degree. That's from TMZ. I don't think it's an honorary doctorate. I think he's just a degree. This is a regular bachelor's degree. Hey, my graduation's next weekend. This weekend, IHart Country Festival, next weekend my graduation. I've been thinking about this. Are we going to have a party when you get back?
Starting point is 01:09:23 No! Like a graduation party? That sounds pretty good. He did you graduate. I'm literally full robe. Hat. I've speak. I speak.
Starting point is 01:09:33 Why are we going to have? But you didn't do any. Oh, I did. Thank you. When you graduate college lunchbox, you celebrate. Oh, that's right. You didn't graduate.
Starting point is 01:09:40 But either did you. Yes, I did. No, you didn't. They're just giving you something. He graduated. Yeah, so you had your party back then. And also I'm graduating again. You're not graduating.
Starting point is 01:09:49 Oh, my goodness. I'm speaking out of graduation. Have a gown on. They're giving me a diploma. It feels pretty. Eddie, you better get him a graduation gift then. We're getting kegs. It's what we're doing.
Starting point is 01:09:58 I don't drink. All right, it's for us. TMZ posted a picture of the weapon that Dave Chappelle's attacker was brandishing Tuesday night. It was a fake gun with a knife blade sticking out of the barrel. The guy's also a wannabe rapper. And he released a song in 2020
Starting point is 01:10:13 that he named after Dave. So this guy's bizarre. And Chappelle's lucky he didn't stab him. Because anybody crazy. even if it's friendly crazy or crazy crazy or mean crazy they're one inch away from always being crazy enough to stab you and he even had a blade So it was a real knife on a fake gun. They beat the crap out of him after they did oh did you see his elbow They like broke his fingers elbow who did people that were there Like security?
Starting point is 01:10:42 His arm is facing the wrong direction Well don't do that. Yeah, I agree. Don't do that crap. I have no problem with it. It looks nasty Three children were hurt in California when a sheriff's helicopter blew a bounce house into the air. Oh, what? The helicopter was landing nearby, but the down draft from the helicopter caused the bounce house to lift off the ground. Took it up into the air. That's from ABC 7. The children's parents say that no warning about the helicopter was given. Oh my gosh. But you probably just don't even think helicopter is going to lift a bounce house unless it's right beside it. But it was close enough. The kids suffered injuries from either being hit by debris or being thrown when the
Starting point is 01:11:24 bounce house was apparently You've been on a helicopter. What's it? How powerful is that win when you're right under it? Crazy. Really? Because I've only seen that. You have to lower your head. It's the TV when they show it. They don't even show it as real as it is because it doesn't look glamorous on TV if you're just walking out of a fancy helicopter.
Starting point is 01:11:40 So they just walk out. But it's tough. This last show that I did, we used a helicopter a lot. Like it'll blow you side of side? You just have to cover your face, cover your eyes. A Michigan woman wins $2 million from a scratch-off that caught her eye. You have a story like this every day. An unidentified woman from Michigan has won two million bucks from a scratch-off lottery ticket she bought due to how the ticket looked.
Starting point is 01:12:03 The 44-year-old bought a $2 million multiplier spectacular ticket due to its aesthetics. And 20 bucks later, she won $2 million. I do pick the ones with diamonds on it. I like those. Well, how about this? I don't want to say who, but I was talking to somebody I'm very close to yesterday. Because they didn't want to be known. on the news.
Starting point is 01:12:25 Well, it wasn't me then. One, somebody that I know yesterday, they report $150,000 I want to scratch off. What? Oh. I'll tell you off the air. Okay. Wow.
Starting point is 01:12:35 Yeah. They tell you if there were diamonds on that or not? I hate my life. I think it was a $10 scratcher. Wow. That is unbelievable. They just scratched you won $50,000.
Starting point is 01:12:44 That never happens. But that also means that... It can happen. That's why you keep going back. And back. That's not. Because you literally have a story about this every day.
Starting point is 01:12:53 Because there's millions people playing the lottery in every state all the time. Just saying it. Now you know someone personally that just won. Yeah, it's getting closer and closer. The Flying Pig Marathons facing backlash on social media after addressing claims that a six-year-old boy ran the full marathon. That's from WCTO news. Is that not true? Well, a family of eight completed the full Flying Pig marathon together.
Starting point is 01:13:15 The youngest family member is six. Well, that's cool. I don't know, because marathons are so bad for the body. Yeah, I don't know if that's good. So I don't know The father said the six-year-old son made it To mile 20 after seven hours He was struggling physically
Starting point is 01:13:32 Wanted to take a break and sit every three minutes But it does look like He finished The other kids and family ran the race in previous years I don't know it seems like He made it It's the first marathon and retired family The father said our five older kids won't
Starting point is 01:13:48 Yeah I mean I guess six-year-old finished That's crazy Hey first in his age group I mean yeah for sure No one else. That young man. All right, that's the news. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Those were Bobby's Big. Stories. All right, coming up next. This is what it says on my sheet of paper here. Lunchbox has another run-in with a restaurant, and we have audio. Yes. I don't listen to this stuff because I want to experience it the same way that our audience does. So sometimes we can play something.
Starting point is 01:14:15 It can be, well, that's not that interesting. But sometimes it's amazing, and I like to react. But I'm told I'm giving two thumbs up that we want to play this. Okay. Can you give me a little, just a bit of what this is about? I went to a restaurant. Yeah. They said they would provide something and they didn't provide it.
Starting point is 01:14:31 And I got upset. Would you dump the table over? Why'd you record? You'll see. Okay. Like, it was a major thing that I felt like needed to be filmed. So I had proof. Okay.
Starting point is 01:14:42 You guys would say because you... All right, we said enough. We said enough about the bed. Wow, wow, wow, wow. Don't spoil it. We will come back with lunchbox and do that. And your calls 877. 77 Bobby. We will be right back.

Like Amy getting the role and you getting... If he's so... Everything. So you cut out a little bit. Is he so what? It's almost what...
Starting point is 01:19:16 Huh? You cut out a little bit. You said he's so what? He's so negative about everything. He doesn't say anything good. Like, he should be proud of you. You're supposed to be his friend. He should be proud of Amy for getting the movie role.
Starting point is 01:19:35 There's too much negativity in the world anyways. And I sit here and I listen to your show every day and I laugh and I love all the segments. But sometimes with him, he gets so loud and he gets so boisterous. And then he gets to where he is so negative towards everything that I want to just turn the channel. Well, I'd hate for you to do that. And I don't want to do that because I do love the show. I don't want you to do that either. So I would like to ask you then, would you like me to suspend him for a couple days?
Starting point is 01:20:05 Oh, good question. Oh, wait, wait, wait. No brainer? Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. So you're all about positivity, but you want me to, you know, suffer the, you know, get not get pain and not feed my children. Huh? That's how you've. No, I said, I said, no, I laugh.
Starting point is 01:20:23 No, I don't want him suspended at all. Oh, thank you. He needs to think about what he says and how it may affect other people. There are kids that are listening to this, and they think it's all right to already bully other people. So, you know, it's just not a good thing. Okay, Lunchbox, your response to have that? I don't think I've bullied anybody, but when someone takes a job from you,
Starting point is 01:20:47 you're not going to be happy about it. Me and Amy were up for the same role. She didn't take a job from you. You were never up for it. I've been trying to go to Hollywood. I've been taking acting classes, so I thought this was my moment. So yes, I'm disappointed that I didn't get it.
Starting point is 01:21:00 So yes, I'm not going to be happy for her when I didn't get it. Her point is you can't be happy for anybody ever that earns something that gets... No, I'm happy for you when you got your TV show because I didn't go out and try to get a TV. You worked hard. You got it. Like I wasn't up for that. But you weren't up for the...
Starting point is 01:21:15 Okay. Hey, thank you. Heather, I really appreciate you listening. I will try to... How? How? I will do my best to calm. Well, like this. I can just push a button and his microphone will be off. And so he can't really... Watch this. Hey, Lunchbox. How you doing, buddy? I'm good. See, you can't hear him. How you doing? Oh, you got Daddy's microphone. That's my microphone. Stop there. All right, Heather. Thank you. I hope you have a great day. All right. Bye-bye. So here's the clip of Lunchbox. I haven't heard it yet. Let's all do this together. Lunchbox has had many run-ins at restaurants.
Starting point is 01:21:44 He's done things like Doc a server's pay once because she... She didn't give you... She put the steak in front of... The burger in front of me and the salad in front of my wife, when my wife is the one that ordered the burger and I ordered the salad. Bad assumption. You threw a fit for your order being messed up once.
Starting point is 01:21:59 Yeah. It's like five of these. But okay, here we go. Lunchbox is now upset because what? Because I looked online and this restaurant says they are open from 11 a.m. till 9 p.m. So I went to the restaurant to get some food at 833 p.m. And guess what?
Starting point is 01:22:18 Doors are locked. Okay, let's hear a clip apparently. Oh, it's me yelling at them. Okay. Let me see. Oh, I can't get any food. How do you guys do this? You say you're open until 9 o'clock.
Starting point is 01:22:30 You say you're open until 9. It's not 9. It is not 9. It is 8.43 freaking p.m. What the crap? Like, this is so annoying. It says open till 9 p.m. 9 p.m. and you're not open.
Starting point is 01:22:45 You're not open. It says 9 p. Do you know what time it is? Yeah. She don't want to tell you what time it is because she knows it's closed. You should be open. Good grief. So was a human hearing you yell?
Starting point is 01:22:56 Yeah, there's workers in there. You can see them? Oh, I can see them. What if something happened in the restaurant they had to close early? Oh, no. One girl walked out the door and got in her car. There was nothing wrong in the restaurant. There was no, like, oh, they got robbed.
Starting point is 01:23:08 There was no police there. They decided they want to go home early. How do you know that, though? How do you know somebody's uncle didn't die? And so they don't have a cook. And so they're like, well, We can't, nobody can cook. We'll put a sign up.
Starting point is 01:23:18 Say that. Say what. When the girl's walking out right there, when she says, doesn't say anything to me, she could have said, oh, sorry, we had someone had a family emergency. No, she just packed up and left. They just left. How do you run a business when you say you're open until 9 p.m. And I'm trying to feed my family and I go and you're closed.
Starting point is 01:23:37 There are other places you can feed you family. I understand. But that's what we want it. It's not illegal for them to close. It is a business. It's a private business. They can do whatever they want. Sure.
Starting point is 01:23:45 They can close at noon if they want. So that's them not getting the money. Right? So they didn't do it to make anyone mad. I'm assuming I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that something happened where they had to close. Should I sue them? How? I don't think that's...
Starting point is 01:24:01 They do it. You won't win. I mean, yes. Yes, please. Yes, we now tell them to do stuff that's... I mean, I just can't... I don't understand how you work and operate your business. Well, maybe they don't.
Starting point is 01:24:10 Maybe it will fail and it'll... The people realize they don't stay open and they won't go anymore. Because guess what? I ain't going back. You got him. He showed him. I will. What do you think the yelling is going to do? Like, do you think they were going to, oh, my gosh, you know what?
Starting point is 01:24:23 He's right. Let's open back up for him. And give him half price. I just wanted them to know that I knew they were being lazy, that I knew that they were breaking the rules, that they weren't doing what they were supposed to. Okay. That's why I'm yelling. Yeah, yeah. I get it.
Starting point is 01:24:36 I'm letting everybody around know, hey, this restaurant sucks and they don't know how to, you know, keep, stay open. You wanted everyone else to hear you around, too. Yeah. Okay. You should protest. You should get a sign and go March. They closed early. They closed early.
Starting point is 01:24:49 I can do that. I mean, I'm going to send a letter too. Now, you're, okay. Why write a letter? This is your new thing? Yeah, because you've got to let them know when they mess up. Like, if they're not going to operate the proper way, you need to let them know that you're an unsatisfied customer.
Starting point is 01:25:03 And guess what? Probably give me a gift card. That's happened before. Let's go over to Nevada in Austin, who's on line three. Nevada, how are you? Oh my gosh, I can't believe I made it through y'all. Thank you for. calling. What's going on?
Starting point is 01:25:19 So I just wanted to call and give lunchbox a little bit of support. I heard that segment about that lady that just called him kind of ripped into him a little bit. And I don't know, y'all, as I'm listening to the show for, I mean, since before you guys moved out to Tennessee, when you guys were back in Austin and, like, even before Amy was on the show, and I love you, lunchbox. I think you're so funny. Yes, you are cringe sometimes for sure. The show would not be the same without you. and I just wanted to call and just let you know that.
Starting point is 01:25:48 We need a little cringe, right? Sure, everyone does. I'm glad we have smart people that listen to this show. Like, she sounds like a very intelligent woman. Like, probably has a doctorate of her own. Like, very, like, successful woman, business woman. Thank you for being,
Starting point is 01:26:01 thank you for having a good head on your shoulders. Hey, Nevada, can you think of the cringiest lunchbox moment ever in your mind? Oh, gosh. Because we have a top 10 list. I mean, it's like 17 or 18. deep right now. You gotta go to 10. But we're gonna do
Starting point is 01:26:17 lunchbox as cringiest moments next week. Is there anything that you can remember that you heard him do and you're like, oh man, that's tough, that's brutal. I mean, it's hate,
Starting point is 01:26:29 oh my gosh, like I feel like I'm on the spot and I can't even think of anything. That's okay. Probably too many. Or none. No, you definitely have your moments for sure.
Starting point is 01:26:39 But, I don't know, sometimes when he, when he interviews people, like out on the street, like those like random hidden camera interviews and stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:49 Some of those are so awkward. They're very awkward. They're so awkward, but they're so funny too. They can be both. It'll be cringy and funny. There's one that we're debating on where Lunchbox is interviewing an artist, and he's completely wrong about everything. He's like, has to be fact-checked by the artist during the interview. Oh, those are the best.
Starting point is 01:27:04 And not as a bit. I know that interview. Which one? Morgan Wallen. And not as a bit. What did you do? Man, his song went number one, and he came into the interview, and I was like, dude, how excited are you, you're number one?
Starting point is 01:27:19 He's like, oh, it's cool. And I'm like, no, your first number one. Like, what are you going to do? Like, where were you? And he's like, well, I mean, and I'm like, no, you got to be more excited for your first number one. Like, this is crazy. And he goes, it's actually my second. How do you celebrate a number one?
Starting point is 01:27:35 Because that's something you've dreamt about. Like, when you started this and you sign a record deal, you're like, man, I hope to have just one number one in my career, probably. And you get the number one. So what does Morgan Wall and do? They call you. Hey, you're number one. Boom. Well, this one's my son.
Starting point is 01:27:49 second one. An idiot. All right. You said he went number one. He just goes on and on at the beginning. He's hyping him up. He's like, get your first one, man.
Starting point is 01:28:09 And Morgan Wallen just sits back. Let's him use all of his energy. And he goes, that's my second. Does that make you guys grin? No, yeah. Morgan took her hands and put her face in her hands that she was listening to it. Why? I mean, look, here's the thing. I was handed the sheet and said, hey, he just got a number one.
Starting point is 01:28:27 But did I say first number one? Yeah. No, it did. You just said there's no chance. Okay. So next week, maybe Monday or Tuesday. We'll do lunchboxes 10 cringy as long. And just so you know, I'll never forget.
Starting point is 01:28:36 His first number one was up down. Okay, and his second was? No idea. The one there? Yeah, whatever it is. All right, cool. All right. Thank you for the call Nevada.
Starting point is 01:28:45 Thank you, everybody. Let's talk to Erica in Maryland. Erica, you're on the show. Good morning, Bobby. Good morning, studio. Morning. In reference to lunchbox's incident he had at the restaurant yesterday or the other day. Yes.
Starting point is 01:29:07 Well, I own a restaurant. I own a pizza restaurant. And we actually had to close down our deliveries early yesterday because a driver was making the store unsafe and making it a loss of business. So we had to close this deliveries down at 10 o'clock and we had to make a remake a bunch of food because he wasn't staying on task. Sometimes people just have to close early. Your thoughts. It's not out of my control. I didn't want to close this store early yesterday.
Starting point is 01:29:37 I lost business, but I couldn't risk losing money for remaking food and keeping people on the right track when he's going completely anywhere, nowhere he's supposed to be going. So you had to close your delivery, but you kept the rest open. This didn't have delivery. Put a note on the board. But it's the same thing. If it says delivery is open to 11 and she can't do delivery to 11, that's closing a part of the rest of it. And she can say, hey, sorry, my driver was, you know, inadequate and I had to close. This had no sign or nothing.
Starting point is 01:30:03 There was like six employees in there doing nothing. One girl purse opened the door, walked out and walked her car, got and drove away. Didn't even say, oh, sorry, we had to close because of this. She just walked right by me like I didn't exist. When I asked her, what time is it? I think that's probably why he's upset. Someone didn't recognize him as a big celebrity. That's it.
Starting point is 01:30:21 It's ridiculous. How do you run a business? Like, how do you expect me to come back and, you know, give you... They don't. They don't. They don't. But there's no need to yell and scream about it in front of the store. So you're telling me if you went to a restaurant and you just be like, oh, yeah, okay, I'm happy.
Starting point is 01:30:35 They closed 30 minutes early when this is my plan to have my dinner. Dang, that sucks. All right, where else we're going? Exactly. Plan two. Yeah. Oh, thank you, Erica. I appreciate that call.
Starting point is 01:30:44 Plan two. Who says plan two? Yeah, I just realized. I said that. I'm like, two, B, no, B, not two. Let's go over real quick and talk to Ashley in West Palm. Ashley, you're on. Hi, Ashley.
Starting point is 01:30:56 Hi, how are you? Pretty good. What's going on? I just wanted to comment on lunchbox getting upset because the restaurant was closed early. Yes, go ahead. So I'm a manager at a local restaurant in Gardens, and there's a few reasons why a restaurant might close early. But one of the main reasons that we sometimes will close early is when the overhead costs start to exceed the money not coming in. Lunch box?
Starting point is 01:31:23 But how do you know what money is going to come in if you close early? You don't know if a party of 20 is about to show up and make you a lot of money. You are just being lazy. She has a business. You don't. Yes, I understand that. But you don't know what business is coming. You open with the hopes of...
Starting point is 01:31:41 I don't you think somebody that owns a business and has done this and has seen an evening like this evening so many times, they can kind of predict what's happening based on things that have happened prior? No. Oh, you don't. Oh, you don't think. No. Okay, you don't. Okay, cool. All right. Well, Ashley, there we have it. There's no need to argue anymore. But I appreciate your call and thank you for being a part of the show. Thank you. Have a great day, guys.
Starting point is 01:32:01 I mean, how do they know that I wasn't about to spend $1,000 in the restaurant? They can look at you and tell. Yes. Were you? No. Exactly. Was I going to spend $35, $40? Yeah. Okay. Well, they missed out. They did miss out. I thank you, Ashley. Have a great day. Okay, we'll move on from this. He's still mad.
Starting point is 01:32:19 Yes. And I mean, I don't understand how you guys are okay with everybody being just so lazy. I don't know the circumstances, I guess, is what I'm trying to say. I don't know what happens. So therefore, I'm not going to be angry. If they saw you and said that any kind of guy, we'd like to serve clothes. Different. Then I'll go.
Starting point is 01:32:34 I get that too. But I'd be a little more upset. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Want better skin from your body wash? Try Ole Body Wash with skincare super ingredient collagen. Ole body wash hydrates for healthier looking skin in just 14 days.
Starting point is 01:32:50 From dry and dull to firm and radiant. With Ole Body, you feel fearless in your skin. So the big drama here, which, by the way, Amy is joining us from Los Angeles. She's in a studio there. But the big drama here is Lunchbox is verified on Instagram, and Eddie is not. What on earth? And Eddie's all like, how did Lunchbox get verified? Well, it's not only that.
Starting point is 01:33:10 I've asked him, like, six times, and he will not tell me how he got verified. Well, let me say, Lunchbox, you deserve to be verified. I do deserve to be verified. I do deserve to be verified. I'm a famous celebrity. I have clout. I have pole. You're just yelling stuff with this.
Starting point is 01:33:21 And Instagram finally realized that, you know what? We need to get my boy a blue checkmark. This is not true. I am verified on Instagram. Did you do anything special to be verified? Let's just say they reached out to me. Not let's just say. No, seriously.
Starting point is 01:33:38 That's what I'm talking about, bones. Instagram reached out to me and started the process of verification. That's how I got verified. So you didn't do anything special? I didn't do anything special. I didn't do anything. They reached out to me, so I said, okay, and I gave them my information, and they verified me. Why did you believe it was them? Because I'd be like, Instagram's not messaging me.
Starting point is 01:33:58 Well, I don't know. I sat there for a little bit, and I looked at it, and I asked my wife, if you think this is real? She goes, no, it looks real. Like she feels better about the computer than I do, about checking if they're fake or not. And so I just sent them back a message, and boom, what do you know? Verified. You guys are close in followers, too. I know, dude. I know. has 310,000. Eddie has 280,000 basically. And so that's the drama. Who's verified here? You
Starting point is 01:34:22 obviously, Amy. Amy is, right, Amy? Oh, yeah. Lunchbox now is. Scuba Steve is. Yeah, scuba's been verified for a long time. But you want to know what? Can I let scuba turn. But I just want to say something here because I know people work in Instagram. They don't reach out to you to say, hey, we want to know if you
Starting point is 01:34:40 want to be verified. It just happens. It happens. And you get a notification in the next morning or whenever it happens, or you physically go into your settings and ask for the process to start. You give me your copy of your ID and do all that. Why don't you do that? I've done it. So do you think the lunchbox is lying?
Starting point is 01:34:55 I think he's lying. They didn't reach out to him and say, hey, we want to verify you. He has cloud and pull. I would love to see this message that he's talking about because he said there was a message back and forth. Where is that? You want to see it? Yes, I do want to see it.
Starting point is 01:35:05 When he says stuff like, let's just say, I don't believe it. Exactly. When he leads with, let's just say. Or it rhymes with. Right. Yes. So Eddie's not verified No
Starting point is 01:35:15 Okay Amy your thoughts on this I mean I think it's hilarious It's awesome So now I mean Eddie you just have to be patient It happens Just keep contacting them
Starting point is 01:35:26 Yeah they'll come to you bud They'll come to you bud I'll tell you what the problem is I have parody accounts out there That are asking for money Kind of like these country stars And so do I Have a blue check mark
Starting point is 01:35:36 They're gonna think it's really me Do the little process Again I've done it twice Denied You did something What I'm saying, he did something Did you do something?
Starting point is 01:35:45 He did. I didn't do anything. Did you pay one of those companies? Didn't pay a company? How do you pay a company? Oh, I get DMs all the time from companies saying I can get you verified. Pay them for like $500.
Starting point is 01:35:55 I'm good. Okay. Well, that's where we stand. Everybody good? Yeah. We are great. Blue checkmark. What up boys?
Starting point is 01:36:03 Top 25 in Nashville. Now blue checkmark. I'm off my way. He's insufferable. Okay. Bobby Bones show. Boney up the day. This story.
Starting point is 01:36:12 The story comes us from Rome, Georgia. A 48-year-old woman called 911 because she wanted to chat. And when the 911 operator said, ma'am, this is for emergencies only, said, You're stupid! Well, that's illegal. You're not allowed to curse at the 911 dispatcher. What about calling just a talk?
Starting point is 01:36:30 Well, that also. But once she called her stupid, they sent police to her house and arrested her. So I guess they could have felt bad for her for being lonely if she was just calling a talk. Yeah, but when they showed up her house, they decided she was. under the influence of alcohol. And also it's just like 90-year-olds who call just a talk. Because they're lonely. They're bored.
Starting point is 01:36:47 And then you feel all sad, but she's how old? 48. See, you're still good then. Yeah, you're still good. You have friends. All right. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day.
Starting point is 01:36:57 I saw they maybe making a new Austin Powers movie. Yes. The fourth one. I tagged Morgan because she watched it as part of the segment where we make her watch older things. You didn't like the first one. I didn't. And I haven't even watched the second or third one. They get worse, honestly.
Starting point is 01:37:11 But they're still. really funny. The second one was funny because that's what mini-meat comes out in the second one. I think that's right. I don't know. And then fat, you know. Yeah, we'll call him Fat Tastard. He comes out. We think some dumb stuff was funny.
Starting point is 01:37:26 Beyonce, she comes out. Well, Morgan, how do you feel about the new Austin Powers movie? I am very indifferent to it and I have no plans to watch it if he tries to put another one out. I don't think you should. People don't care as much now about movies. Just, they used to be big events.
Starting point is 01:37:42 Now there's so many on streaming. I just all over the place. And they're still fun. They're still cool. But like when a big movie would come out, I mean, you'd wait two, three weeks. Yeah. You go to the theater.
Starting point is 01:37:51 Now it's like, maybe I'll catch it on HBO Max, you know? I think it kind of hurts the brand if there's another one, unless they're going to pay them a lot of money. But the new Austin Powers could be happening. So there's that. Are we going to watch it?
Starting point is 01:38:02 I probably won't watch it. They've gotten worse every time. The last one has been out 20 years. I'll watch it and let you guys know. Movie Mike will watch it? For sure, he will. All right. All right.
