Starting point is 00:02:41 Welcome to Thursday show, Martin Studio. Morning. Glad you're here. Let's go up first. Let's see what our video producer, data for. Here he is. Producer Eddie, everybody. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I have a scenario to run by you, but for the sake of the story, I'm going to say it happened to me. But it didn't happen to me. Did it happen to you? No, it did not happen to me. Do you promise? I promise it didn't happen to me. But say I'm driving and I back up into a parked car. And I hit it, and then I see the owner and say,
Starting point is 00:03:07 I don't want to claim this on my insurance. So just go take it and get an estimate. Let me know how much I owe you and I'll pay you. So they did that. They went. They take their car, got an estimate, and then I paid them right there. This is how much it is.
Starting point is 00:03:20 I gave you the money. Now, smash cut, three weeks later, four weeks later, I see the car again and the owner and nothing's been done. That's problem. At what point are they going to get it fixed?
Starting point is 00:03:35 Or do they even have to get it? I mean, but it didn't happen to you, so why would you care? You gave them the money. Did it happen to you? No, it didn't happen to me, promise. You gave them the money. That is your, that is what you had to do to make good. I gave them the money to fix the car. No, no, no, you gave them the money because the damage that you did was going to cost that much.
Starting point is 00:03:52 It's like lunchbox's roof, right? They can give them the money to fix the roof. It can keep the money and not fix the roof, but they don't give me any money yet. Right, but I'm saying people do that with hail damage sometimes. Yeah. It'll hail and insurance come out and the gesture will go, okay, well, da-da-da-da, here's $4,000. They just keep the money. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:09 So I think where I messed up is I should have said get it fixed. Wait, wait. I'm speaking as the person I know. Is it you? No, it's not me, I promise. Okay, so it has to be... No, it's not me. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Okay. So, no, once you and that person, shake hands, deal done, completed, here's the money. It's over. It ain't your business anymore. And they never have to fix the car. You just pay them because what's going to happen is, they're going to lose out on that money whenever they're trading it back in. So they have that money in a different way.
Starting point is 00:04:41 I like it. Karma will get them. No, no, no, no. They lost that value on their car. So they went and got that money now instead of later because they're not going to get it later once they trade it in. Or they fix it later. It would have my friend. There's no scam. That's not a scam.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Wow, that's crazy. Okay. All right. That's why I brought it to the board. I want to see what you guys thought. Is it you? No, it's not me. I promise.
Starting point is 00:05:03 Stop saying it's not me. I promise that way. Not me. So it has to be. I don't guess who it is Don't worry about it. We won't worry about it. His kid must have run into someone with his bike. Is it you?
Starting point is 00:05:12 Not me, I promise. All right, having a next thing to meet. It's lunchbox, everybody. I obviously got in the wrong profession because I came across a video this guy named McBeast on YouTube. I've never heard of this guy. Oh, he's massive.
Starting point is 00:05:27 It's not Mick Beast. I think it's just Mr. Beast. Whatever, Mr. Beast. Whatever he is. You think it's a nugget? Yes, that's what I thought. But whatever. And the video. I saw was him on Halloween. He was handing out a stack of $10,000. He gave a kid $10,000 in cash instead
Starting point is 00:05:43 of candy. And the kid tried to give it back. He's like, no, you keep it. And I'm like, who is this guy that can just give out $10,000 cash? And he was giving away PlayStation's and all this. So then I start looking up his stuff. He had one where he sold this dude. If he stays in this circle for 100 days, he'd give him $500,000. How does he have $500,000 to give to these random people? Because he makes so much money off YouTube. He might be YouTube's biggest earn forever. But like, so I should have got into YouTube.
Starting point is 00:06:11 You should have, could have would have done all kinds of stuff, but you didn't. You'd have to have a successful account. And you would have to do something compelling enough to get people to watch and then make money. But how did this guy get to where he can do this? But that's like asking any artist. I was like Sam Hunt. Like, here's another one. He has a big circle.
Starting point is 00:06:28 I should have been a musician. He sang a song about a back room. That was easy to ride. I mean, he put a hundred people in a circle and said, last one to leave gets $500,000. What in the world? But isn't that interesting? It's like a TV show. It's like a big TV show.
Starting point is 00:06:43 YouTube is just another way to take in any sort of content. And he gets paid a ton. I am just in shock. I'm like, I got in the wrong business. I saw he bought a house or something or did something like 60 million bucks pretty recently. What? Wow. I have never heard of the guy and I'm like, I should have been doing YouTube this whole time. I don't think you.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Who knows? Who knows? You're not a big idea guy. I'm a pretty big idea guy. You have ideas, but then you don't go forward with them. Gosh. Look at the... I mean, that's crazy to me.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Yeah, Mr. Bees is loaded. No, no, no, Muckbeast. Oh, sorry, Mick Beast is loaded. I'm taking McBeast, no cheese. Barbecue sauce. All right, up next to out, Amy. Amy, yeah, she's here, Amy. So my daughter recently asked for red hair, and we put extensions in her hair often.
Starting point is 00:07:34 She has braids, but it's normally. just the color of her hair, like a blackish-brownish color. Now we have red hair. And it's a big deal. It's like a, it fades into red. That's cool. And she was real excited about it. I wasn't totally on board, but then I thought, okay, I've got a teenager now, and I'd rather compromise on these sort of things in hopes that she feels like she has some control, and then she doesn't go out in the bell. Well, that's not a big of a deal. Anyway, red hair, a little red hair. That's cool. That's a good one. Style. Yeah. I feel like piercings, red hair, stuff like that. Like, I She feels like, oh, wow, look at me.
Starting point is 00:08:08 I can be creative with myself. And then she doesn't feel the need to be like, my mom won't get me red hair, so now I'm going to go be bad. Or is it a gateway to badness? Oh, that could be it. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas, he plays pickleball, and him and Caitlin like to go to the mall. True.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Bobby Bones. We do like to go to the mall. And I thought the mall was dead, but we do like to go to the mall. It's fun again. Do you go with your friends on, like, Saturday mornings and stuff? No, just Caitlin and I. My best friend. Meet out in front of the cinema.
Starting point is 00:08:33 They have a new shoe store at the mall, too. Yeah, yeah, Journey. Possible kicks, no. It's like, I got all the Jordans. I've heard about this. Like, it's, like, a full of, like, the cool, the cool shoes. It's like the, and they have cool, I'm a big shoe guy. You never heard the story before.
Starting point is 00:08:47 I didn't have a lot of shoes going up, but when I did, I didn't have to get it from yard sales, and I would go and I'd wear them to school. And a couple times, one time really bad. I got a pair of Jordans from a yard sale, and the kid who put them at a yard sale, saw me wearing them and made fun of me in front of everybody. Like, those are my shoes. You can't afford real shoes. So that's why.
Starting point is 00:09:06 I have this fascination with shoes, right? It's all of the stuff that we do now is based on some, most of the stuff we do now is based on some sort of fundamental, positive or negative or trauma or little, big tea, all that. So that's where the shoe fettish, we'll call it that, comes from. I have tons of shoes. That's what I've been buying. But they have a, it's the first shoe store at the mall I've done like, this is legit. But yeah, it's called Impossible Kicks. My kids just go just to look at shoes.
Starting point is 00:09:30 They do. They love it. The whole shoe culture has gotten pretty bizarre because they're really expensive. And I have some shoes that are pretty expensive, but there's one pair in there. It was like $3,800 for a pair of Jordans. Oh, my gosh. For a pair of Jordan. Scoba, Steve, like shoes too, but yours.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Same thing, Scuba. Oh, yeah, mine's the same thing. Couldn't afford them as a kid. Now I buy the heck out of them now. And I go back and buy the ones that are nostalgia for me, like Pippins, Jordans, pennies, shacks, that kind of stuff. And I had no idea that store was in the mall. Did you go? I haven't gone yet because I've been complaining about Nashville, the lack of shoe stores here.
Starting point is 00:10:00 They have a good one. That wasn't what this was about, but it is now. Yeah. That's finally a good shoe store in our mall? So I guess that's it. I was going to talk about the Christmas exchange. We'll do that later then. Save it.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Well, I'll just do it later today. Yeah, great. I'll save it until tomorrow. I got some good stuff about what we're going to do for our Christmas exchange. It's time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:10:28 I've been working at this company for several years. We just got a new boss. He has difficulty hearing the other workers when they talk to him. I do my best every single day, but lately he's been calling me Greg. My name is Chris. Every day, he calls me Greg. I didn't know at first, and I just answered. But now, I know he thinks my name is Greg.
Starting point is 00:10:51 I need your advice. I felt awkward correcting him several weeks in. What do I do? Am I just Greg now? Signed, definitely not Greg. Well, Chris, aka Greg, you might just be Greg now. At work, yeah. It's a new boss.
Starting point is 00:11:06 And you go up to a new boss and like, hey, man, you're all wrong. I'm Chris. That's going to be trouble for that relationship. It's humiliating. And he doesn't have any sort of relationship with you so he can catch you pretty easy. New bosses come into and want to change everything. You want to put their own fingerprint. So we'd have no problem changing you out.
Starting point is 00:11:24 And then he might wonder, why did you wait weeks to tell me? Yeah, you weird. And let me call you that in front of everybody. Nope, you're Greg now. You got two things you can do. One, you can slowly, like infiltrate. and start to be Chris again through emails or if he walks by you're talking to their friend
Starting point is 00:11:42 yeah it's Chris yeah I couldn't believe she I don't know that's a tough one yeah it's tough or you're just Greg and when the boss gets emails from Chris though is he like who's Chris you have to change name at work yeah Chris aka Greg yeah just forever everyone calls him Greg I like it I think you may just be Greg for a while
Starting point is 00:12:02 until you know him well enough to go hey Or, or You tell him you're changing your name. Hey, today I decided to change my name. He used to be Greg, but that was my dad who left me when I was nine. I'm going to start going by Chris now.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Interesting. Okay. Just make up a story. Boom. Change your name to your real name. Yes. Wow. Boom, mind blown.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Okay, but you have to like make sure your dad is really not in life. Yeah, and is the boss going to think that's weird? Like, okay, you're changing your name. He probably can't even hear you. He'll just be like, okay, Chris. He said he can't hear very well. You're probably. Greg for a while and you can slowly
Starting point is 00:12:37 You just don't want to tell him your name is not Greg, you want him to figure it out and hopefully he thinks you've never noticed. That's the goal. Yeah, good luck Greg for a while. Good luck temporarily Greg. All right, that's the deal. That's the mailbag. Close it up. We've got your email
Starting point is 00:12:53 and we read it on the air. Now it's time to close Bobby's Melbag. Yeah. Christmas gift exchange. That's what we're going to do. We do it every year. I got four options here. Because we're all here We all don't want to have to get stuck with buying a gift for everybody
Starting point is 00:13:09 We'll all go broke There's like nine people on this show at this point Ready Number one as submitted by Ray An Animal Christmas We each buy each other an animal Oh, I like that But that's pretty dumb
Starting point is 00:13:21 That's pretty funny No no no no no No no we have a no more animal rule in my house We're done with that. It could be a dog, a fish, a turtle A Chinchilla, lizard No, no no no So that's one version Animal Christmas
Starting point is 00:13:33 So dumb The voting is going to be us for right here. And if there's a tie, we'll throw it over the mic. An animal Christmas, yay or nay. Yay. Yay. Nay. What are you guys thinking?
Starting point is 00:13:45 What's wrong with y'all? Nay, okay. Thank you. Oh, nay. Animals will die in this process. Yes. Okay. Next up from Ray.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Ray submitted mostly all these ideas. Did you guys not submit an idea? I submitted one. I don't think I submitted any. I don't think I submitted. I forgot all about it. Honest. Well, if you didn't submit an idea,
Starting point is 00:14:04 you don't get a present. What? Ooh, I like that. I submitted one. Buy something from another state Christmas. Something that is popular in the state the person's from, you get them for the person you've drawn. I like that one. You can say, yay, we'll keep it alive or nay, we kill it.
Starting point is 00:14:19 But let's say Eddie from Texas, you can be anything that's as long, Texas Peat sauce. But that's not from Texas. What about? I will see you. Cowboys. It could be whatever. Yes, Amy.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Think about that. The state, state Christmas. That's not bad You don't have to say yes We're married to it but keep it alive or kill it Yay or nay Yay Yay I'll keep that one alive
Starting point is 00:14:42 I like it Two more options Pass or smash Huh? Love it That's not what you think Love it I don't understand
Starting point is 00:14:49 This one's from Mike Dean Yeah your present comes in You don't like it you smash it Oh So as normal We draw names And you buy a gift for the person that you draw We exchange gifts as normal
Starting point is 00:14:59 You can keep it Or pass and smash Now you have the option to pass the gift to someone else and steal a gift you like or smash the gift and spend the wheel for cash. Who puts the cash up? Probably me. I think what it is, I think you can either keep it or smash it. And if you smash it, you can spin it. You can spin it for cash it.
Starting point is 00:15:26 I like it. Pass or smash? Keep or, yeah. Yeah, it's good. Passer smash, spin it for cash. We don't need a nursery, Ryan. Oh, I don't like that third one? That's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:15:37 Passer smash Christmas? Nay. Yay! I think it'll be fun, yay. I'll go yay too. That one's alive. What? That's fun, Amy.
Starting point is 00:15:45 It's just going to be so sad if someone gets someone a cool gift and they smash it. That's the best part. But you want to get them something cool enough that they don't want to go to the wheel. Yeah, but people... Okay. How about risk it for the biscuit Christmas? Uh-oh. What is that?
Starting point is 00:15:59 You can accept the gift that you've received from your person. Or you can take a gift, a good gift, from Bobby's mystery boxes. Yep, I'm in. But two of the boxes, and there'll be seven total boxes in my chest here, two of the boxes will have something spicy in it. The little nitro, the gummy bear, the world's hottest chip, and you have to eat it immediately. If you open the hot one, you eat it immediately.
Starting point is 00:16:26 No way. So the five, the seven gifts I don't have, five of them will be good gifts. Good gifts. Elevated gifts. Let's go. Two of them, though, will be killers. Sounds fun. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:16:39 You want risk it for the biscuit? Risk it for the biscuit. But you can also just keep. Or a spicy Christmas, maybe? Oh, a spicy Christmas. Yeah, because what's the biscuit about? It's just risking it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:50 We're just, hey, we're just spitball in here. Eddie, we want nursery rhymes here. Uh-huh. No, earlier said I didn't. You want a spicy Christmas? Keep that or no. Yeah, sure. Spicy Christmas.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Spicy Christmas, yes. No. Yes. May. What? No, I don't want that. I don't want to eat the gumming, the hottest gummy bear. You can keep your gift.
Starting point is 00:17:06 You don't even have to go to it. You're going to be a sissy. No, look, you never have to go to the bobby. There's not even a chance. If you don't welcome, if you just get somebody and they get your gift, that's it. You're done. Right. Just vote yay.
Starting point is 00:17:17 Just vote yay. Bye. Yeah, there you go. Spicy Christmas. Easy breezy. Get these cissies out here. But Eddie, nobody has to take part in that. Yeah, you don't have to risk it for the biscuit, dude.
Starting point is 00:17:24 You don't have to go spicy Christmas. Oh. But if the gift is so bad, you're going to risk it for the biscuit. I'm just scarred by spicy. But you do not have to even go to the spice box. Right. You can keep your crap gift or you can risk it for the biscuit. Yeah, so if you want to get super spicy.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Spice. You can keep it lame and tame or you can go spicy spice. Okay. A lot of rhyming guys. What do you think about that? You all already passed it, right? Yes, it's going. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:49 So here are our options. Man. Now the state one's out. I'm already over the state one. Okay, so now that we have three. It's basically spicy. Well, no, we get three left. We got by the state Christmas.
Starting point is 00:18:01 That's cute. Hey. It's cute. Hey. Hey, estate Christmas. Okay, let's go back to it. We have three. A state Christmas, yes or no?
Starting point is 00:18:10 Yes. Nay. All right, a state Christmas has been killed. So it's either pass or smash or a spicy Christmas. I like pass or smash. I like the mystery of in the box of the spice. Do you want to just keep these two alive for now? Yeah, yes.
Starting point is 00:18:28 I'm going to need time to think about it. Yeah, me too. I want to sleep on it. Well, I thought later in this show. Well, maybe I'll take a nap. All right, so it's either a spicy Christmas or pass and smash Christmas, okay? Yeah. Both are fun.
Starting point is 00:18:40 That's great. But nobody has to eat the spicy. Right. You don't have to. You don't go to the boxes. You have to stay lame and tame. But I'm telling you, if you go to the box. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:18:51 That's loaded with money. Oh, my goodness. You'll be laughing so hard. you'll be so rich it's funny. This is designed for lunchbox. I love it. Oh my gosh. Okay, so we're holding those two right now?
Starting point is 00:19:02 Oh, yeah. Good. Well, smash your pass, I'm going to cry. Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. Because that was just like smash, spin the wheel. Smash your gift. Happy holidays from the Bobby Bone show. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:19:17 With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. 18-year-old Finn Connor and his dad were going to a bobbynob. Boston Celtics Bulls game at the garden. They're leaving the game. And they hear, help, help from a nearby waterway. So the sun looks down. He goes, oh my gosh, there's someone in the water.
Starting point is 00:19:35 So he runs down, gets to the water, sees that someone's already helping. But he says, I'm going to come help you both. I'm going to help you. So he goes, and they both help get the guy. He's unconscious, but he's still breathing. They pull him ashore. By that time, the dad had already called 911. EMS was there.
Starting point is 00:19:50 The guy was saved. So the person yelling help wasn't the person needed the help. It was the person already helping. It was the guy that was trying to save him, but he, also was needing help, yeah. Wow. Which reminded me of my days of being a lifeguard. Oh, boy. Here we go. It's kind of the same thing, you know, like some, a mom had jumped in to help her son. Well, here you go. Lifeguard had his help both of them. The son and the mom, double-saint. Were you on the diving board like thing up there on top? I was in the life guard stand. Is that up high?
Starting point is 00:20:13 Oh yeah. You can see that's where you kind of see all the water. You could see the whole community floor. So you jumped from up there? Did you come down a ladder then jump in? Yeah, no, no, no. You stand up. You have the float. It's not a dive. It's a jump. You got to go feet first. And you yell everybody, get it. Get it. Get out of the way. Get out of the way. You blow your whistle. You say, I'm coming in. I'm coming in. I'm here to save. I'm here to save. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Are you like Mighty Mouse? Here I come to save the day. No, not all that. Do you know Mighty Mouse? Yeah, yeah, yeah, the mouse. Of course he does. The mouse. Good description. The little. Yeah, yeah, superhero mouse.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Here I come to save the day. I know what you're talking about. Okay. Well, Eddie, good for you. I'm glad you can bring that up. By the way, Eddie did pass his life card training less than a year ago. So if I wanted to do it again today, I could do all that. Yeah, and shout out. What's his name? Yeah, his name was Finn Connor.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Finn? Yeah. Good job, dude. Go Celtics. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable, private, non-profit Christian University based in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona.

The food punishment, if you lose, You must eat sardines with whipped cream No, no. No. That is amazing. It's disgusting. I cannot eat a sardine. Yes, you can.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Then don't lose. I don't even know what a sardine is. It's a fish. Yeah, it's a piece of cake. All right, here we go. I cannot. You ever have a birthday gate? Yeah. Just like that. Okay, sorry. You ever had funfetti birthday cake? Yeah. Basically that. I would much prefer Kit Kat with tartar sauce. Oh, yeah. It gets a little more elevated every time. This is amazing. Yeah. All right, Amy, you have three questions.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Oh my gosh. I don't know what that is, but it sounds bad. You don't know what a sardine is? I don't think I've ever seen one. Okay. But you know what it is? I've heard of it. From the sea. Like a, like, it's a tuna.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Okay, it's fish. Tuna would be nice. Oh, gosh. It's not tuna. Is it like an oyster then? No, it's a fish. It's a really, really stinky fish. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:25:11 So here we go. And it comes looking like the fish, right? Oh, yeah. It's the whole thing. It's the whole thing. Yeah. It's really salty. Tuna is mashed up.
Starting point is 00:25:19 It ain't that bad, actually. It is horrible. I've never had one. I think it's a delicacy in some countries. Okay. Well, so are snails. Exactly. I'm not eating one of those.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Amy, you get three questions, and lunchbox should know the answer to all three of these. So let's see how many you get. Are you ready? Ready. Amy, who's playing the halftime show of the Super Bowl in 2023? Why? This was announced, and why am I not? Was announced.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Big story. We talked about it on the show. I know. This is level one softball. But now I feel like everything in me is failing. I'm falling apart Is she crying? Yes
Starting point is 00:25:59 Almost She's already freaked herself out about the sardine It's like my brain is not working The only person I have in my head is Taylor Swift But Who is playing the halftime show of 2023? Let me go through people Taylor Swift
Starting point is 00:26:16 Incorrect I don't know Steal it lunchbox Rihanna Correct Oh Rihanna Yes And he don't make noises when she says answers
Starting point is 00:26:25 I didn't. You did. Well, it's okay. He could have been tricking me, but I know that Rie is doing it. I just got nervous. Excuse me. Amy, in college football. What's the LSU mascot? The LSU Blank. LSU, Louisiana State University. Their mascot is the... Tiger. Correct. Good job on that one. Whatever. I'm so mad I miss Rihanna. I'm so mad at Taylor just being in my brain all the time. Amy, the American League and the National League.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Yeah. Are the two major leagues in what sport? The American League and the National League And what sport are they the two leagues? I don't understand why I'm thinking it's football Because it just seems like football is the NFL And the National Football League But I don't know that I see anything on TV about the AFL
Starting point is 00:27:18 The American League and the National League But that also could be soccer Are two basically divisions in what sport? I did not think that the football had leagues, divisions, but I feel like there is divisions in the country for some reason. But it's the national and American. American League and national. It's either soccer or football, but if I say it like this, football to both work.
Starting point is 00:27:42 Oh, so you're hitting it with a double. Yeah. Soccer and football by going to football. Yes. Incorrect. What? What is it? Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:27:51 Baseball. Correct. Yes. I do not. Amy got one Lunchbox stole two I am going to vomit No that's after you eat
Starting point is 00:28:03 There's still time Lunchbox Yeah let's go Name the British luxury brand Best known for expensive trench coat Coats scarves Its signature check and plaid pattern What's the name of the brand
Starting point is 00:28:17 Very famous for a plaid pattern Very distinctive plaid pattern Plaid pattern British brand British brand And trench coats, scarves, a plaid pattern. British. I don't know anything from Britain.
Starting point is 00:28:38 Chanel. Incorrect. Amy. Burberry. Correct. Burberry is correct. Just like that. Sardines in my mouth.
Starting point is 00:28:47 I don't know what that is. It's two to two. I know. Not yet. Sargene's box. Stupid. Which Real Housewives lunchbox was the first.
Starting point is 00:28:57 before all spinoffs. The O.C. Orange County. Correct. Oh, you knew that. I did. Totally knew that. Guys, you're a fan. I was going to say,
Starting point is 00:29:17 OG, but then I was like, well, then I don't know what that would be. Lunchbox, if you get this right, you win. Oh, my gosh. No sardine in my mouth. If you miss it and Amy steals, it's a tie. We go to sudden death. Oh, no. I'm sweating. Lunchbox, what's the name
Starting point is 00:29:33 of Taylor. Swips's upcoming tour No, don't hit him because he was asking. He already knows for tickets yesterday. What's the name of her upcoming tour? Oh my God. That's funny, right? Got to check my text messages?
Starting point is 00:29:52 You cannot. Whoa, buddy. What is the name? All over. Yeah. Yeah. The city. Wow.
Starting point is 00:30:08 That'd be cool. That's not it. It's me. Hi, I'm the problem. Amy, Taylor Swift's upcoming tour. You need this to tie. You're in it. I know.
Starting point is 00:30:18 It's coming down to you knowing a Taylor Swift thing. Right. Would you think I would know? But my brain is not working. I swear to you. It's like, I probably wouldn't even know two plus two. Hold on. I'm thinking.
Starting point is 00:30:34 You guys have the food prepared? Come on. Bring it in. Bring it in. Is it that anti-hero tour? What is the name of the tour? Midnight. Here comes, Scoo.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Steve, he's shaking up. I'm the problem. The whipped cream, and he's got the sardines. Go ahead and open it up. It's me. Hi. He's opening. Oh, my, oh, that juice just flew out.
Starting point is 00:30:53 I'm the problem. Amy, I need to answer. Taylor Swift's upcoming tour is. Oh, that's whipped cream. Incorrect. Stop! What is it? It's all of her different eras.
Starting point is 00:31:04 What? Oh, eras. Dara's, that's what I said. She's even going to. Let's go. She's even going to play her country. It's time for Amy to eat the sar. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:13 Dude the sardines. Why couldn't I think of eras? You had two pretty softballies. Rihanna and Taylor Swift, you're still lost. Yeah, that's why I'm saying. My brain. Oh my gosh. You're set up for you.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Amy, I just... Sardines. Sardines. Sardines. Sardines. Cardines. Come on, Amy. There's sardines and whipped cream right on your desk, Amy.
Starting point is 00:31:33 There's a fork, too. Ah. Use the fork because that smells not going to get off your hand. Hey, may the fork be with you. Oh, that's a good one. Y'all are stupid. We need to see a sardine. You can't go only whipped cream.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Yeah. Duh. That would be smart though to go whip cream only. Ah! She's digging in with the fork. I can't look at the sardine. You have to look. Go.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Oh, I smell it, man. Go. Oh boy. Is she getting it? Did I get the sardine? Look. The faster you do it, the faster we can not smell it. Like a...
Starting point is 00:32:07 It is a fish. It looks like a... I swear to you, I just saw it. it's veins or something okay that sarnia I don't know that's 99% grab a fish this smells like my dog's breath which on my dog I don't mind she has to eat at least one fish right yes no yes you are losing your mind we're running out of time or you get to the whole thing on get a fish oh I just too strong get a fish get a fish maybe you have to get another one oh she put in the mouth don't vomit don't vomit don't
Starting point is 00:32:42 Oh, she's shaking, she's violently convulsing. She's slapping the microphone. You can do it. You, oh, man. You got it, just, I don't want, she's chewing now. Oh, uh-oh. Don't, don't puke. People eat this for fun, on pizzas.
Starting point is 00:33:04 She's going back to the, to the well for more, the whipped cream. Oh, she's gonna eat all the whipped cream and have none left for her sardines. Hey, whipped cream shooter. Chase her. That's what I said, chase it. Oh, why does stink? Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:19 You good? I did it. All right. That was like a quarter of a fish, but okay. I don't care. I cannot do any more. I swear to you or I will vomit. But I did it.
Starting point is 00:33:31 And I'm proud of myself. There's still stuff stuck in my teeth, though. You act like you just fought a fire or something. Like she just came out of a burning house with a, he's like, I got you. It's tough to do. But I saved a lot of lives in there. I did it. And I'm proud of myself.
Starting point is 00:33:49 I am proud of myself. Because I thought I was going to have to spit it out and I swallowed it. You lost. How much bucks you feel good about that? I mean, it was only a quarter of a fish. I ate a whole Kit Kat with a... That's true. Tortoise and Kit Kat is very different than it.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Well, we're going to play Morgan Wallin. Amy, if you're satisfied with it, I guess we are too. Do you need me to take another bite? Take a bite! Take a bite! Because like, I don't... We didn't see any fish. I ate the fish. The fish is missing from the can.
Starting point is 00:34:16 No, not ready. You see it. Gone. Go fishing. Okay, fine. because I don't need y'all feeling like I don't do my part around here. Go. Go. Go. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:34:26 Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Her hands are shaking. Go. Go. Go. Just grab a fish, Amy. Go. Go. Go. Go. There she go. That's a big one. Oh, she's shaking. There you go. Eat that. All right, Amy. There she goes. Oh, she went straight Bowser on it. Like a boss.
Starting point is 00:34:43 Wow, Bowser. All you do is. Okay. I can do hard things. There she is. All right. Do I do another fish, man? Get it away from my desk. Get it away for a desk.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Please. It's a Bobby Bones show interview. In case you didn't know. About to talk to Brantley Gilbert. He's got a bunch of number ones. How about country must be countrywide? The country must be countrywide. You don't know her like I do.
Starting point is 00:35:10 Bottoms up. I could keep going. But he's a dude you see and you don't want to get in a fight with. but if he's like loyal to you I'm not going to say kill somebody for you but I wouldn't doubt it I know what you're saying though Yeah I like Brantley a lot
Starting point is 00:35:28 On the phone right now We're going to do a world premiere with him Here is Brantley Gilbert On the Bobby Bones show now Brantley Gilbert Hey Brantley what's up buddy What's going on brother how you doing? Hey I'm doing pretty good
Starting point is 00:35:40 Where are you today? The dog house But we're getting ready to leave here at about 30 minutes to go to Michigan and then I'm gone until December 20th. Why till December 20? That's a long... Is you doing shows?
Starting point is 00:35:53 Yeah, man, we're going out with five-finger death punch, and apparently these heavy metal bands don't like to go home in the middle. So you're going on like a rock and roll tour, like you're not coming home at all. Not much. I think I get to eat Thanksgiving dinner with the family, but outside of that, I'm out, brother.
Starting point is 00:36:12 You're playing on tour with five-finger death punch? What kind of... I don't know. Help me out here, Brantley. What kind of music is that? five-finger death punch. Sounds aggressive. Brother, I think that's a good word for it, man.
Starting point is 00:36:26 These boys, it's just kind of a, you know, if I'm getting on the motorcycle and I'm riding around, that might be a playlist I hit up, or if I'm in the gym or something, and I need a little push. It's kind of like that kind of rock. Do you, are you playing right before them? Are you playing after them? I'm just not familiar with them, so I don't understand. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:46 We're actually, man, since it's kind of a co-headline deal, but we'll go on the 75 minutes set right before them. Oh, that's a full set. That's a headliner set. What kind of crowd is it a five-finger death? I'm just now obsessed with this idea of going to a five-finger death punch show. What kind of crowd is five-finger death punch? They're actually pretty wild. But I think it will be a little more crossover than we originally thought. But you're asking some of the same questions I did the first time this idea.
Starting point is 00:37:19 came across the table, but we've been talking about doing it for years, man. We're just now going for it. Is this one of those shows where you spit on the people watching? I'm not going to be spitting on anybody. I've seen some of those, but it's like a sign of love. They spit on them because they love them. That's a hardcore stuff.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Really? Yeah. Like the Ramones used to do that, too, like way back in the day. Like all the punk stuff. Anyway, well, Brantley's on, and we're talking about five-finger death punch. But really, Brantley's got us on with Blake and Vince Gill, which is a completely juxtaposition. We're going to get to this and this.
Starting point is 00:37:55 But that's Brantley. He is versatile, no doubt. So, hey, let's talk about this song, Brantley. It's called Heaven by then. You got Blake and Vince on this song. Why those two guys, and what is it like reaching out to them? And I tell you what, like every now and then you write a song and you kind of hear the feature while it's being written, right?
Starting point is 00:38:10 And this was one of those. It just sounded like Blake right off the bat. And laid down the demo, and Brock was singing this high part. and it was like kind of a pipe dream idea of it was like, man, to do that high part. I wonder, you know, what that would sound like. And he agreed to do it. And, you know, man, it's like,
Starting point is 00:38:32 if I had a bucket list, I'd definitely be marking two off of it. But having both of those guys on the same song is humbly, man, it's awesome. It's called Heaven by Then with Blake Shelton and Vince Gill. We've got Brantley Gilbert on right now. Hey, I want to ask a question about your hair because why you wear a hat all the time
Starting point is 00:38:49 when you're such a perfect head of hair? Well, you know what? I think a lot of people thought I was bald for a long time. And my son apparently was one of those people. And he informed me that he thought that I was bald and I couldn't grow hair. So that's what that's about. Because usually somebody that wears a hat all the time, wears a hat because maybe they don't like their hair or how it's growing, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:39:13 So that's the situation. But Braley's got like the most perfect head of hair. And I think most people just felt like he was probably balding. but I will say right now, great head of hair. I appreciate it. Thank you. What they call it, lettuce or something? I don't know what that.
Starting point is 00:39:29 That's what good. Yeah, apparently. Yeah, some kid yesterday told me I had lettuce. Okay. And he said it was a good thing. I don't know, man. That's kind of what this song's about. I kind of feel like the world's left me behind me.
Starting point is 00:39:45 Did you ever feel like you fit in, though? I've always felt like you kind of did your own thing. There were some circles I felt at home in. Maybe not this one. Yeah, I guess that's, you got a point. That damn kind of a, yeah, that's valid. Yeah, no, I mean, we're definitely different, but I think we're the same in the way we kind of do things our own way.
Starting point is 00:40:05 And I think sometimes when you do things, as they say, you march to a beat of a different drum, sometimes you do feel lonely. But I think overall, as long as you get to continue to have your own independent voice, that's probably where you get a lot of fulfillment, right? For sure, brother. Absolutely. All right, look, Brantley Gilbert, on with us. We're going to end with this, Brantley.
Starting point is 00:40:22 What's the song if someone were going to say, All right, Brantley, you get to leave one song behind and that's it. And for the rest of eternity, there's going to be one Brantley-Gilbert song that's left for everybody to hear. What would that song be? Well, the smart thing to say right now would be having by them feature Blake Shelby. I think the answer, man, the true answer is the song I wrote called My Faith. You know, if I had to leave my stamp on the world,
Starting point is 00:40:46 I think I'd probably want them to make sure they know who the good. Lord was what he'd done for me. And I'd say, bottoms up. There you go. Yeah, they're going to need some drinks. That's right. Well, look, he's got a brand-new song out today. Brantley, it's good to talk with you, and we're rooting for you to come back alive
Starting point is 00:41:05 after the tour of Five Finger Death Punch. Yeah. Well, the real cool surprise, man, is we actually released our album today, too. Wait, what? Really? Yeah, so it's a little bit of a surprise. But so help me, God, it's going to be out at the same time. So we're rocking right along.
Starting point is 00:41:24 A little surprise to go with it. There's four new songs, and that won't be the end of it. So there will be another than least following. But yeah, man. Well, I didn't, you know, I didn't know that. It's a surprise for me, too. And I'm going to fire my producers for not to let him you know that, Brantley. So that's where we are today.
Starting point is 00:41:41 All right, buddy. Everybody gets fired on account of me, but I appreciate you having me, brother. It's out today. Brantley's new music and also the song Heaven by Then with Blake and Vince. Brantley, good luck, buddy. Happy, happy holidays. and we'll talk to you soon. You got it.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Thank you, thank you for having me this morning. Brantley, Goard, everybody. Thanks, Brantley. Good to see you, buddy. Good to talk to you. A voicemail from Sean in San Francisco. This message would be for Mr. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:42:03 I just heard about how he still has roof damage. Now, I help one of my close friends who owns a roofing company down in Florida. Now, he said he hasn't fixed his roof within five months since the storm. Technically, that's negligence. And he might. not be able to get a new roof due to that. And it's been, like he said, five months prior
Starting point is 00:42:27 from the storm. So it's going to be hard to try to even get money back from insurance. I mean, I don't think it's been negligent. I can explain to the insurance that I was a reality show that I was working with a reality show and they strung me along and they got my hopes up and then they ghosted me and left me and just disregard, disrepair, distress. I don't think that's in the contract. And so I will tell you the insurance, they can take it up with the reality show. Which one? I'm not naming the name.
Starting point is 00:42:59 Building Roots. Terrible show. Awful. Have you recorded your part, Amy? And I can't. I don't know. What part? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:08 I thought you were going to be like a line or something. If lunchbox was going to be A, you were going to be B. Yeah. Well, he, yeah, where I don't know. So he's not A, so you're not B. She gets fired too. She hates the show. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Are we all blackballing him now? Yeah. A terrible show. Worst show on HGTV. I did not know I was negligent. I thought I was doing something smart by getting a TV show to come in and do it. But that's not, they don't care. But I didn't know they didn't care.
Starting point is 00:43:30 And you still have holes in your roof. I do. I have tarps. Still, this is crazy talk. No, it's not. It's real life talk. You have children. Yes, I have three of them. And a dog.
Starting point is 00:43:43 And it rains and stuff? Yeah, but the tarps cover the rain. Except for the one big one, you put a trash can under it when it rains. You've left your house like this for five months. because I thought that we were moving forward with reality show. And now that it's over, in the next few weeks, I will file my insurance claim. Let's do one more voicemail. Hey, this is for Amy.
Starting point is 00:44:01 I heard her talking about Danny Goki's song that her son is farting to. And I used to be Danny's tour manager, and he is actually one of my neighbors. So I just sent it to Danny and his wife, and they thought it was hilarious. So thanks for the laugh this morning. They enjoyed it. Oh, my gosh. Amy's son makes his own remixes now with his own farts. It's awful.
Starting point is 00:44:23 He was, yeah, that... But hilarious. Hilarious. He made me gag when we played his version. He was a real fart. It's a real one. It's terrible. We're not playing it.
Starting point is 00:44:30 We're not playing again. The Babo show. Here's Amy's pile of stories. I saw this article about how this ex-spy had to live and what you have to do if you want to be a spy. You want to hear some of the things? Hide. Change your name.
Starting point is 00:44:44 Well, that's the thing. You have to have five different identities running at the same. same time at all times. And like if you have to get rid of one of them, like it's, you have to burn it. You have to immediately pick up a fifth identity because five is the like safe way to function. I can't even watch a show. My wife and I'll watch a show and I'll watch one ahead of her. I can't even do that in her not know. I'd be a terrible spy. Because I will be, then we'll be watching the episode that I probably shouldn't have watched and I'll be clenching up early. And she's like, why are you, you watched it? Didn't you? I'm like, dang it. She got you. Yes. I'm a terrible spy.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Some of your IDs or your identifications have to be so in-depth. Like you've got to have social media presence, all the different things. I don't know my cell phone number now. You don't know your cell phone number? Ooh, I don't know it. I can remember my ID. I don't know my own one single number now. Do you want me to know five IDs?
Starting point is 00:45:34 Five, five, all the things. And some relationships have to be really deep and in-depth because there's long-term manipulation in case you're trying to recruit them. That I'm good with. Yeah. You're trying to recruit them, like, to join you, which is like crazy to. keep all of that information in your head at once. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:45:52 He said he finally had to get out of the business because he had no social life. Like a real one. I get that too. Yeah. Maybe I wouldn't do a good spy. All right, what else? I have the top passive aggressive office behaviors. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:05 Is that like quiet quitting when they say? No, it's just stuff that happens internally with like coworkers and stuff that cause a toxic work environment. Well, toxic literally is lunchbox farting because he doesn't. That's literally. Yes. Being sarcastic in a mean way. We do that here on the show sometimes.
Starting point is 00:46:25 Not mean. No. Maybe you do to us, but we don't do. It's out of fun. We wouldn't do that. An example is, oh yeah, that's a brilliant plan. We do stuff like that. We think it's a really brilliant.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Talking behind someone's back, complaints and resentment, giving people the silent treatment, and then being- You do not do that. Yeah, no, I talk too much. Hey, Spill-T is definitely on that list, But we get to say it's a bit
Starting point is 00:46:49 so it's not real. All of our stuff doesn't count because we do it all there. It's a bit. It's a bit. Okay, what else? Darius Rucker was talking to the Today Show and he explained the title of his next album. It's called Carolyn's Boy. And he wanted to name that because his mom did never get to see
Starting point is 00:47:05 any of his success. She died before it all happened. So it's a way to honor her and put the album out and be like, yep, I'm Carolyn's boy. That's really great. I haven't seen Darius in a month of Sundays that my grandma used to say. It's been a while. Darius and I were friends, but I haven't seen him in a long time.
Starting point is 00:47:20 So I saw the album cover of his mom. It's like black and white. It's really cool. Oh, that's really cool. It'll be out next year. Here's that voicemail from Deney in Madison, Wisconsin. I have a scam alert. I feel like I'm very tech savvy.
Starting point is 00:47:33 I've talked to my grandma about getting scammed, all kinds of stuff, and I got scammed by the post office. They sold my credit card information. When I called the credit card company, they said it wasn't fraud. They said that I gave them the information. So that's super helpful. But all in all, I got it turned around. So beware that they are texting you about packages.
Starting point is 00:47:53 My friend also got a similar text, but I taught her own. I appreciate that. Now we know that that's somebody acting like the post office. That's not the post office. Yeah, yeah. You didn't get scammed by the post office. Yes, you get scammed by somebody acting like the post office, aka a scammer. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:48:14 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. An Alabama convenience store worker sets aside a portion of every one of her paychecks to pay for random acts of kindness. Wow. I'm just going to say wow. Yeah. Every wow.
Starting point is 00:48:31 Since 2018, Lynn Thomas of Birmingham, Alabama has been dedicating a portion of each for paychecks to fund her sewing on purpose project. She's 35 years old, and when she's not working at her job as a convenience store assistant manager, she likes to give strangers just a little gift of money. It is now time for the investigative morning course. We have 90 seconds. We're trying to get as many of these corny jokes as we possibly can. One is considered a win. Our record is four.
Starting point is 00:53:20 That's right. We can do five. Let's get five. We can do it. We have 90 seconds on the clock. The clog doesn't start until she finishes the first investigative morning corny. Let's go. The morning corny.
Starting point is 00:53:34 What's it called when a turkey goes for a run? Oh, wobble, wobble, gobble, gobble. Gobble run. A double walk. 5K. Five gobble. Turkey trot. Turkey trot.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Turkey trot. Turkey trot! No, no. Okay, that's not it. That's not it. A turkey run. A bowl of turkey. Gravy.
Starting point is 00:53:51 Everything's giving you. Do the turkey trot. Yeah. Turkey for a run. Turkey gravy. You're moving. You're running. Marathon.
Starting point is 00:54:05 Marathon. Marathon. Go for a nap. You eat. Because you eat turkey and you go sleep. You eat. You eat food. What's it called?
Starting point is 00:54:11 Food. Running food. Fast food. Fast food. Fast food. Let's go. Next. What do Thanksgiving turkeys become after they die?
Starting point is 00:54:21 Dead. Dinner. Carved. Stuffed. Foul play. Victim. Murder victim. Oh, out.
Starting point is 00:54:30 We're going dark. Oh, my gosh. What do Thanksgiving turkeys become after they die? Lunch. The centerpiece. Dinner. Main course. A ghost.
Starting point is 00:54:43 Tarky ghost. Bables. Fried. Goblets. Heaven. Heaven turkey. Oh my gosh. A turkey in heaven. It's not good. Would you know my name?
Starting point is 00:54:53 What do they become? I'm not a turkey in heaven. Oh, yeah. After they die. What do Thanksgiving turkeys become after they die? A meal. They're plucked. Bird ghost.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Close! Bird ghosts. Poultry geists. Poultry geasts. Guys. Whole tree guys. Boy, you went level 10. Yeah, well, listen.
Starting point is 00:55:19 I mean, one question two, level 10? Hey, hey. Whole tree guys? You guys. Come on. You guys. Look, advanced. Some days are going to be a little more difficult than others.
Starting point is 00:55:29 That was really hard. I mean, fast food was even hard. I mean, turkey trot was nail. Hey, welcome to Mike Tyson's punch out. Your first fight is Mike Tyson. Yeah, the last guy. You don't even get Glass Joe or Bald Bull? It's right to Mike Tyson?
Starting point is 00:55:39 Glass Joe was the easiest. Dang. Don Flaminko? Never heard of him. Here's Mike Tyson. Wow. Okay, well, we got one. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Clear eyes, full hearts can't lose. It used to just always only be one, by the way. Yeah, we like to approach ourselves, though. I know. The CMA Awards were last night. Hope everybody got a chance to check it out.
Starting point is 00:56:02 Eddie had his eye issue. Amy had a broken award once. Lunchbox was just chilling. Yeah, doing my thing. It is what it is. And so we all got an award, though, which is cool. Like, this was the year that everybody, the whole show,
Starting point is 00:56:14 purposefully submitted it where everybody's name was on it, so everybody got a big glass, nice award. And I have the award at my house. Your award, do you have it yet? I don't think so. You have yours yet? Anybody else have theirs? I have mine.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Okay, you have yours, okay. Mine's at home. So, you had to go sign for it. You got to go pick it up. You got to go pick it up. You broke yours last year, so maybe they're not letting you have it. Or maybe they're like, oh, we're whipping you up another one. So what, so you had yours last year.
Starting point is 00:56:37 It was in a box, and you had it leaning on your door. You opened the door. In the car, yeah. The box fell out, and it shattered this humongous glass of word. Yes. That's the end of the story? Yeah. Why?
Starting point is 00:56:49 Is there more to it that I don't know about? I'm just asking if that's the end of the story. Yeah, that's the end of the story. So Scuba Steve went to pick up some folks awards. Yeah, he said he was going to pick up, we gave him our sheet of paper from the place. Scuba. So, Phil is in on what happened yesterday before the show? Yesterday, so we go there, me and lunchbox, get our COVID test, pick up the awards.
Starting point is 00:57:08 Lunchbox loaded them all in my truck. Not the way I would load them, but he load them in my truck. We get back here to the station, we're doing some work and all that stuff. And as everyone's leaving, I'm like, hey, let's go to my truck. We'll grab your award. And that way you take it with you. It's yours. Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:57:24 So we got to open the door to grab Eddie's award. And we immediately hear, I'm like, oh, my God. It was like a rock falling down a mountain. You heard it too. Eddie was right there. Yeah, I was right there. So was it just one box? One box that was on top of another wooden box that slid off when I opened it and hit the floor immediately.
Starting point is 00:57:46 And who's it? What's award was it? You just, he just said it was Eddie's. No, no, no, we were getting my award. Who's getting Eddie's out? Who's award was it? Who's award was it? Who's award was it?
Starting point is 00:57:56 It was Amy's award. Hey, on the box, it's at Amy. How does this happen to me twice? He's bringing it in. Here it is, your CMA award. It's crazy. Two years in a row, shattered. Oh no.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Careful, Amy. Open it up there. Oh, Amy, how bad is it? I don't know. Oh, that's such as if you get it worse, I could super glue it. No, no, no, you can't super glue that. No, let's see it. Even the boxes.
Starting point is 00:58:27 So the box broke so it comes right off. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's exactly what happened my other one. Shattered. Oh, wow, it's split right in half. This is, now I have- Get one, we should just break Amy's. Now we have two shadowed CMA awards.
Starting point is 00:58:41 Let me see. Oh, it's broke. Just push. You should wear it as a necklace now, the top part. Oh, Amy, that's terrible. Yeah. So, Scova, who set it up toward fall like that? Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:58:57 So Lunchbox broke Amy's award this year? Yeah, so I think lunchbox broke it. But... Because of the way he positioned it in the... But now you'll see how this can happen. To you, even when you're not there, it's... No, no, no. Also, what does this mean?
Starting point is 00:59:09 You like signs. Yeah, I know. I have two broken CMA awards. Do you think of me... You should quit? I can't quit. But I would if I could. That's what she said.
Starting point is 00:59:24 I need a job. What sign is that, Amy? Bill's the pay or what? Yeah. Everything good, Amy? She goes, I need a job. Like, I'd be out of here. I'm sorry, Amy.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Your ward broke. Everything is fine. I don't want to pin on lunchbox. I was looking for someone to throw it on. I felt awful. I almost threw up when I went home to my wife and I took it out on my family and my kids and I was very anxiety.
Starting point is 00:59:52 What did you do? I didn't like beat him or anything, but I went home. But you know how when something happens at work, you take it home that anxiety and it gets out on them. And so I'm so sorry, Amy. I will get it fixed.
Starting point is 01:00:04 Wow. You should have seen it. We were like, when we saw Amy on there, we were like, the irony. Did you laugh or did you go? When we saw Amy's name, we laughed. Okay. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:00:12 Of course they did. I'm sorry. We're going to play. Luke Bryan knocking booze. Two years, two awards. Oh my gosh. Both have Amy shattered. On these CMA awards, because Amy's is broken, we talked about that.
Starting point is 01:00:25 We got her name put on it. And I was told that Ray put Sisson Raimundo on his. Is that for real? Yeah, that's what I go by. No, you don't. Nobody calls you that, but you, and it's not even, it's only like a new nickname. Now this word forever is going to say Sizan Raymundo. Forever.
Starting point is 01:00:41 And Raymundo is not even your real name. I know. In his defense, it does have. the year on it, so it'll remind him of the season that he was seasoned. Okay. No, in like 10 years, Sizn won't even be a thing. Right, but you'll know, like, remember. It's going to be so out of, it's like
Starting point is 01:00:55 your clothes, when you look back a picture, you're like, why did I wear that? He's going to be like, why did I put Sizzen on there? It's like, if you were planking in a picture four years ago when you accepted the award. They'd be like, what is that? Planking, that's the stupidest thing ever. But it was cool then. It's something to talk about at a dinner party. That's all it is. Piece of conversation. Your CMA
Starting point is 01:01:11 says Sizan, Raimundo? Mm-hmm. What did it say fully? I can pull it up. Does it say your whole name? I think it just says Sizun Riemundo. No way. That's hilarious. Anything you want on it.
Starting point is 01:01:22 Those are two nicknames you gave yourself too. Why Rammundo again? Because he's like, point. Because he did that test, the genetics test, and it said like 0.005% Hispanic. Hispanic. And he goes, well, I guess I'm now Rameundo. Wow, this has been pretty funny. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:41 Amy's awards broken. Ray's got a nickname on it. I'm glad I went to my mom. mine in the 90s, it said T-bone. Teabone. I really regretted it. Okay, next up, Lunchbox, you want to make some money? Yeah. Cool. Easiest money you ever made.
Starting point is 01:01:55 I like it. I'm going to give you a chance to make the easiest money you ever made. I'll be here. Lunchbox claims he cannot tell if a guy is attractive. That he cannot see two dudes until if one is better looking than the other, right? Correct. I don't know. It's different people like different things. I'm not sure what you like in a dude. if you were to see Ryan Gosling standing next to me, you would go, who's hotter? No idea.
Starting point is 01:02:21 No idea at all. No idea. You can't tell the difference. Some people may like glasses. Tom Brady next to Eddie. Who would you say was generally just a better look? No idea. Some people like bald.
Starting point is 01:02:29 Some people like Brady. So it must be when he sees men, it's like the people that just see blurry. Or he just is embarrassed to admit that he thinks some guys are hotter than others. Bingo. Because I do, they're definitely, you can tell when a guy's hotter than another dude. Right. Okay. So like Ryan Gosling or Eddie?
Starting point is 01:02:44 Eddie? Me. For sure. Obviously. Yeah. So I'm going to give a chance to make some money here. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Five bucks pop. Let's go. I will give you one of People magazine Sexiest Man. You tell me why they're sexy. Something that's really sexy about them. Excuse me? Something that you find really sexy about them.
Starting point is 01:03:00 Not that you've heard, but something you feel that's really sexy about them. You get $5. It's a lot of money, dude. It can't be something you heard. It's got to be something you really feel is super sexy about him. For example, Chris Evans is this year.
Starting point is 01:03:11 What do you find sexy about Chris Evans? $5. I don't even know who he is. Captain America. I don't watch superhero movies. Are you looking him up? Yeah. So you're going to look at him and see what you think is sexy.
Starting point is 01:03:24 So what do you think is sexy about Chris Evans for $5? Is that him? Yeah, that's him. He has a beard. No, no, no, I need to say what you think is... What's sexy about him? Maybe he likes his beard. Do you like his beard?
Starting point is 01:03:34 Oh, is his beard hot? No, I didn't say his beard was hot. He has a full beard, though, in that picture. Okay, see, anything on Chris? Are you going to pass a girl to the next person? I think I'll pass it. All right. Michael B. Jordan from 2020. Oh, he's good in Friday Night Lights.
Starting point is 01:03:49 Yeah, what's sexy about him? He's good in Friday night? No, no, no. He's sexy because he's working Friday nights? No, no, no, no. He was a high school kid. Five bucks. He was a good football player. No, no, no. Is he sexy in the football player?
Starting point is 01:04:02 No, no, no. I enjoyed watching him on he was a good. All you have to say is, I thought he was sexy as a football player. No, no, I didn't say that. It's $5.00. $5.00. Probably you liked him in the football pants. No, no. Nothing?
Starting point is 01:04:12 Nothing. You'll pass on that one? I'll pass on that one. The Rock, 2016. The Rock. What do you think is sexy about him? Five bucks? No, he was a cool wrestler.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Like, people liked him because of that. I think he's, sometimes he can be funny, but he can be annoying also. Can it's sexy about him? No, no, no. It's not, it's not, like, there's nothing sexy about it, but. Even for money. For five bucks, you can't say the Rock has sexy shoulders? Can you just say that?
Starting point is 01:04:41 I don't know that he does. I mean, he does have big muscles. Like, he was in that show, Ballers. I enjoyed that show. Do you think he looked sexy? No, no, I didn't say he looked sexy, but I thought he did a good job in that show. You don't love anything more of the money,
Starting point is 01:04:55 except avoiding saying that a guy is sexy. I mean, I guess I'll have to pass on the Rock. Okay, well, you didn't make any money. That's crazy. You can't just say he's sexy? Can you just say, I think the Rock's very, okay, Johnny Depp. He was one.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Just said. Just say, I think Johnny Depp is sexy. $10, I'll throw in five. Johnny Depp? 15, I'll throw in five. Just say, I think Johnny Depp is a sexy man. I think Johnny Depp was pretty funny in that. No, that's not what we said.
Starting point is 01:05:26 Sexy man. $15 for like six words. I think Johnny Depp is a sexy man. I think Johnny Depp is super interesting. Like, I think he's crazy. You're passing up money. But I'll have to pass on Johnny Depp. Wow.
Starting point is 01:05:42 $20. Shocked. Last last last all you have to say is I think Johnny Depp is a sexy man 20 bucks Bobby thinks no no no no no said I yeah okay So we're gonna move we're gonna pay no money I can't believe this like you're passing up $20 if we did sexiest man on the show who would win like what do you mean if we took a poll Yeah because I mean I pulled the listeners I took myself out because that's unfair if I pulled myself But it'd be a biased vote because I'm one asking the question you've already done this?
Starting point is 01:06:12 Yeah I don't know. So you know the result. Uh-huh. I know. I'm super sexy, so I don't know. You can see sexy in yourself. Yeah, he can say that.
Starting point is 01:06:23 Yeah. The listeners have voted. And the sexiest man, 2022, being my Instagram story, I left it for two hours. The winner is, Ray. Ray, it is you.
Starting point is 01:06:37 Yeah. Wow. Good job, Ray. Thanks, guys. What do you want to say? I appreciate my parents with the jeans being sexy. I will say it's, followed me around when I was in elementary, middle, high.
Starting point is 01:06:50 College, I fell off a little bit, then I was sexy again after college. And I guess now I'm still sexy in my 30s. How old are you? 37. There he is. Hey. Lunchboxy, Ray, the five on show. Lunchbox, congratulate Ray.
Starting point is 01:07:02 Tell me sexy. Hey, Ray, congrats. The people online voted you as a good-looking dude. Passed up money. Okay. We'll kill the segment. Can you believe it? He passed up all the money.
Starting point is 01:07:14 I can't believe it. Wow. Bodies The 56th CMA Awards are in the books. Entertainer of the Year, the big one, went to Luke Combs. Congratulations, Luke Combs. Album of the year went to Luke Combs for growing up.
Starting point is 01:07:30 Congratulations, Luke Combs. Song of the year went to Jordan Davis by dirt with Jacob Davis, Josh Jenkins, and Matt Jenkins. Jordan and Jacob are brothers. I think the other two are brothers too, aren't they? They are. I think they are. You're right.
Starting point is 01:07:46 I was awful. I wore them last night for a bit. I think between Jordan and Lainey, it was, personally, I don't win, well, I guess we did win an award, but like during the show, I didn't win anything, but I was so excited for them. Yeah, me too. Like Jordan is a close friend of mine.
Starting point is 01:08:02 And you know, you never think you're, he didn't think he was going to win the award. There's some powerhouses in there. I was so excited for him. I was just, I couldn't believe it. Same thing with Lainey. And, you know, when she won best new artist, I was like, okay, really cool.
Starting point is 01:08:17 Didn't know that she'd win it because there was a lot of good. But then when she won female vocalist, I was like, this is amazing. Yeah, let's go. So really great night last night for, you know, a couple of good friends. Stapleton won male vocalist, Old Dominion one vocal group. We'll get into kind of our night last night and my feet are killed. How many Band-Aids? How many Band-Aids?
Starting point is 01:08:38 Probably. Yeah, right? I had new shoes on last night. And the shoes that I had, they didn't quite. fit either way. The size, because in whatever that European size chart is, it was a 44. Oh, that sounds big. Okay. I think it's probably like an 11, 11.5. It is. Yeah. I know, but 44 just it sounds, yeah. And so it was just a little big with no socks. And so I was like, dang, do I got to go, so I'm done
Starting point is 01:09:07 a half size. And it was just a slightly small. So I put the 43 and a half on or whatever that was. and it just rubbed the back of my feet raw. And by the end of the night, I looked like my butt crack was chafed. That's how I was walking. I was like, oh, oh, oh, or a corn cob in the butt. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. My feet hurt so bad. They still hurt.
Starting point is 01:09:27 And I have on tennis shoes today. I got to go, I'm speaking at a church later today. But I have on tennis shoes, but the backs of my feet are ripped off. And I need band-aids to put over them to cover the shoes. Oh, my gosh. You guys don't know what it's like for us, ladies, in our shoes. We broke into the first aid kit for this. I know.
Starting point is 01:09:44 An eye patch. That's for Eddie. That's right. That'll work. That'll work. Brutal. Feet are killing. Put some lydicane on it.
Starting point is 01:09:55 So that's part of it. But congratulations to all the winners, especially if your name is Jordan Raleini. Right, everybody? Oh, yeah. Good. Okay, moving on. Do this for a quick healthy energy boost. For a quick mental boost, experts say to slice a limit in half and take a slow, deep sniff.
Starting point is 01:10:12 Yeah. So. That sounds easy enough. With a lemon. Also, you can just take a big, like suck on it. Oh, yeah. That'll wake you up. Nice and tart.
Starting point is 01:10:21 I do suck on lemons and limes. I will order, if I go to, you have a nice dinner and they're like, what kind of water would you like? I'll get sparkling water because I like the burn because I like Mountain Dew a lot, Mountain Dew and Coke. So when I move from soda to anything but soda, I went to sparkling water, like Mountain Valley sparkling water. That's where I'm from. And so now I'll drink sparkling water, but I get limes. And I won't get one lime. I'll ask for like 10 limes.
Starting point is 01:10:44 And then I'll just suck on them. That's my drug of choice. Oh, wow. Sucking limes. Sucking limes. Yeah. But if you're looking for a quick energy boost, they say sniff a lime. That's from Women's World Magazine.
Starting point is 01:10:55 In other fruit news, always wash your apples. A typical apple contains about 100 million bacteria, mostly in the seeds and the skin. Wow. While it may sound a bit off-putting, researchers say that when it comes to gut health, there is bacteria that's good for you, but apples have so much on them. that you should just go ahead and wash it. And if you want to cook an apple, you can too, but why you cook food in general is because it does kill a lot of bacteria.
Starting point is 01:11:20 It is so hot that it dies. But raw fruit doesn't have to be cooked. Just wash it. But I wonder, if you just cover it with water, does that kind of washing it? Oh, I mean, I... Or do you get out the dishwashing liquid. Some people do that, or they sell fruit and veggie cleanser.
Starting point is 01:11:39 How fru-frew are you? I know, I'm not saying I have it. If you buy fruit and veggie cleanser. They have it at the grocery store. I never even heard of that. You just never noticed it. I just don't wash my hands with dishwashing liquid. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:50 At the sink. You're right, though. When we wash fruit, we just get it wet. We don't like scrub it with soap. Yeah, I guess I'm just washing the ticks off. Yeah. For good looking female college students, they noticed their grades drop during COVID because their professors couldn't see them. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:07 That's crazy. Dang. It's like that in college? Attractive female saw their grades drop when classes and exams moved online during the pandemic a study suggests. The study found a significant decline in average college grades among attractive female students.
Starting point is 01:12:23 So if the professor couldn't see them, man or woman, it doesn't say they're all men. Right. Or all creepy old men. It just said... You know, I had creepy young professors too. Okay, creepy. So they don't have to be old.
Starting point is 01:12:36 Absolutely. Also, when I saw that headline, I was like, how do they do this study? Are they like, okay, you go in the attractive section? Or how do they define attractive? Probably a panel of folks going, they're pretty there or not. Okay, yeah, that's really sad. But ain't that hard.
Starting point is 01:12:53 I mean. Yeah, we can do that. Yeah, you can look at me and go not that hot. No, I'll get it. No, you can't. So I thought that was pretty sad, but interesting. But if you don't think pretty people have it easier on life, you're out of your mind.
Starting point is 01:13:08 What's it like, lunchbox? Oh, tough. It's rough life. I do enjoy it. Harry Styles fans are willing to risk their health and safety just to be at the front of the barricade. They're camping out for weeks and weeks to go into this show. Because that's what general admission? They just get to... No, but just to get in.
Starting point is 01:13:24 Like in Madison Square Garden, he's doing this... What do you call it? I did it here, residency. Okay. And so people are camping out for weeks and weeks intense. Dang. Like student sections and colleges will do it for big football game for basketball games. But they're staying for weeks and weeks.
Starting point is 01:13:38 But it's a clip that I saw last night where it's a storm, massive storm. And everybody's just like in the tent. This one wasn't in New York. And they're just sucking it up because Harry Stiles is coming. That's crazy. Also, I've heard like urination issues. Oh, yeah, if you're camping. Where do you go?
Starting point is 01:13:54 The issue is there ain't a toilet. I mean, there's nobody that I'm just like going to use the bathroom in the middle of a sidewalk for. Ever. Billy Joel. No. Oh, yeah. Or in my pants or whatever they're doing. Oh, well, that's different.
Starting point is 01:14:09 Well, that's what I've heard. Nirvana. Ooh, for sure, for sure. Wisconsin nurse is accused of amputating a patient's foot without permission, wanting to display it at a taxidermy shop. What? That is so bizarre. So it is bizarre, but here's the thing that's most bizarre to me.
Starting point is 01:14:24 Because there are just messed up people that want to do messed up things for messed up reasons. That is a universal law. It will always be, and we'll always go, I don't get that because I'm not messed up like that. This is what's happening here, right? She's accused of amputating a patient's foot without permission. Like that's messed up. Agree? Yes.
Starting point is 01:14:41 They're really messed up. To me, the most messed up part is that apparently if you amputate someone's foot, there's a chance you can get away with it and get out of the place with it. Yeah, like. Because she wanted it. Walk out. To take it with, to put an taxid army shop. That's great.
Starting point is 01:14:53 That's even more messed up that if you like sneak it out the right way or the right door, you get to go home with a foot. Yeah. That's like your parting gift for a good surgery. All right, you guys did great. Betsy, you get to foot. You get to the left. That is a, that is Mary Kay Brown.
Starting point is 01:15:08 38 removed the frostbitten right foot of the 62-year-old patient at Spring Valley Health and Rehab Center in Pierce County on May 27th. She was charged last week with elder abuse. Investigators were contacted in June about the death at the assisted living facility who said the body was sent for autopsy because of the unusual circumstances of the death. The medical examiner said he noticed the victim's foot was not attached to his body. Another nurse identified as nurse five who was not in the room for the amputation recalled that Brown said her family has a taxidermy shop. Brown told the nurse she was going to preserve the foot and put it on display with a sign that said,
Starting point is 01:15:41 wear your boots, kids. What? I mean, at least it was a PSA. Yeah. I mean, this sounds crazy. That is crazy. Wear your boots? I check other things.
Starting point is 01:15:52 Uh-huh. Because if she was willing to do that, who knows what else she's willing to do. I'm just speculating here, but you don't just go, oh, for the first time ever, I'd like to have a foot and I'm going to try to get out of here with it. Yeah, good point. She probably has eyeballs, organs. All speculation. Every bit of this is speculation, and that's just doing a bit.
Starting point is 01:16:10 You know who I saw backstage last night that I was so excited to see, a surgeon from Grey's Anatomy? Dr. Kepner, I screamed at her. She was walking by, and she had on this beautiful gown, and I go, Kepner! And she looked back into, I genuinely feel like she was super excited that someone was a Grey's Anatomy fan. Your full lunchbox right now.
Starting point is 01:16:29 You yelled at someone. You yelled at them by their character name. I just, I didn't bother her. She walked by, and I just go, Kepner. And I was like, big man. You went full lunchbox. Well, I am very much invested in Grey's Anatomy right now. That story is from NBC News About the Foot.

Starting point is 01:20:01 Air Tasker, get anything done. Eddie's eye did not get smaller last night, before the CMAs? No, and it's gotten worse. It's crazy. Like way worse. Eddie had a stye in his eye and it kept swelling. Then he got a second stye on top of the first eye and he kept swelling.
Starting point is 01:20:15 Then he was like, I'm not going to the CMAs. We say, Eddie, you got to go full Blues Brother. You're going to the CMAs. Wear your sunglasses. And so you did. Do you know how many people came up to me and said, dude, looking cool. I'm like, thank you, thank you. Well, they just had to address it.
Starting point is 01:20:28 Because if they don't say anything about it at all, it's like somebody who has a crazy but like ugly hairstyle. Uh-huh. Like a new crazy ugly hairstyle. Like, oh, look at your, like you have to say something because you can't just ignore it. Oh, it's so annoyed. How about that hair? Hey, Eddie.
Starting point is 01:20:43 How about those glasses? They were like, men and black. Cool, man. Oh, gosh. Okay. So. I have a sty guys. He did have his sunglasses on.
Starting point is 01:20:50 And it was great. You can see you in the group picture we took. Yeah. You're like a few rows back. Yeah, I was kind of hiding behind a little bit. But you can see my face with the glasses. Yeah, you didn't need to. I kind of felt weird that you and Mike D like hid in the back.
Starting point is 01:21:04 Well, they kind of arranged it. That's where they put us. I got there at the very last second. I have no idea. It did. This is what happened on the email. It said, $6.50? $6.50?
Starting point is 01:21:17 What time was it? $5.50? Okay. It said $5.50. So I get there. And I have other stuff to do. I have other obligations when I get there. I have it timed exactly right.
Starting point is 01:21:27 You guys know how I am. I am punctual to the second. I'm texting with scuba. It's $5.47. No problem. I get there at $5.49. one minute before. Everybody's already gathered, just waiting on me.
Starting point is 01:21:39 They're all like, okay, finally. I'm here one minute early. I'm here exactly when. You told me to be here. Everybody's like, yeah. Oh, look who decided to show up. I'm on time. And so I get up and we take the picture.
Starting point is 01:21:55 And then I go back and do the other work that I promised that I would do. I didn't miss the picture. I wasn't late to the picture. Everybody treated me like I was bad dude getting there. I was on time. Yeah, I think it's just because we were all. there like an hour early. No, I hear you, but I was just told to be there at 50 after, and I was there at 49
Starting point is 01:22:09 after. I get everywhere on time. And so I get there, and Scuba's like having to stall 40 people for me, and I appreciate that, but I'm like, no, no, no, I'm on time. And I know when I got there, everybody's like, oh, not you guys, everybody. I was about to say, we weren't. I just, I laughed when you walked up and was like, hey, we've been standing here waiting. The camera guy was, they were about to just take it anyway, and then the director, maybe, or whoever, is like, no, let's wait. for, let's wait for Bobby Bones. And like, real loud.
Starting point is 01:22:38 That's why when you walked up, I was like, everybody's been standing here. I did everything exactly according to what I was told. I followed my calendar that I was told. I was a good soldier last night by the minute. And I get there and I'm the villain. No, no, you weren't. A funny moment, well, for Ray, I guess, kind of,
Starting point is 01:22:59 was he was on the front row with us. And at one point when they were arranging everybody, they were like, oh, hey, you, we need a taller person in the back. And it looked like they were pointing to Ray to move. And so Ray started to move. And they were like, oh, no, no, not you. Not you, little fella. You stay right where you're at.
Starting point is 01:23:15 You stay put. Hey, fella. Hey, low guy. It's cute. So we got the group picture. It was great. Yeah. You see Eddie with sunglasses like in the middle.
Starting point is 01:23:23 And there's like 50 people in this picture. And then you see Mike like hidden in the back corner. And that's typical Mike D. Like, he's just trying to be behind. But I was, you get up front. And so hop up. and Lunchbox and I hold the award. Yeah. Looks like you guys are fighting for the award.
Starting point is 01:23:38 Oh, no. You know Lunchbox was hoping you didn't show up because he was getting to hold it. Well, I didn't want to hold. So I get up there and lunch is holding the award and one of the guys that goes, hey, hand the award over to Bobby. And lunch starts to hand him out and I go, no, you can hold half of it. I don't care. That was almost crushed. That's the real story, but it looks like you guys are actually fighting for it.
Starting point is 01:23:56 Oh, no. That's my award. I didn't even want to hold the award. I didn't want to take it from Lunchbox. So we shared it. I said, you can hold half of, dude. I don't care. So we're holding it like we want it together. Like we're Dan and Chey or Brad Osborne.
Starting point is 01:24:07 And so we're in the picture. We post it up. It's great. Everybody was great. And so I had to go back to do more stuff. And so I said, Amy, we have to do. They don't show the speech on TV. But I say, hey, do this thing where you walk out and you say whatever.
Starting point is 01:24:22 And so you did. Walked out. You did your speech. Yeah, we all walked out there together. But backstage, I worked with Mike D to come up with, like, you know, what I was going to say. because I just wanted it to be super quick, but maybe referencing, you know, obviously the award and whatnot. And then Mike had this great idea about how, you know,
Starting point is 01:24:41 my CMA had broken and all this stuff. No, no one ever sees this. Because we've done it before and I've never seen one ounce of this match. No, they say it goes into like the archives. Yeah, we've done the hilarious things. And then they were like, well, it goes in the archives. And I was like, well, they're yelling at me to get back over to this interview stand. So Amy just do the speech.
Starting point is 01:24:56 No one's ever going to see it anyway. And then, you know, I go back. So here's Amy given the speech. Go ahead. The winners of the Daily National Broadcast Personality of the Year are Bobby Bones, Amy Brown, lunchbox, Dan Chappelle, Eddie Garcia, Morgan Hussleman, Season Raymundo, Mundo, Steven, Scuba, Steve Spradlin, Mike Rodriguez, and phone screener, Abby Anderson, the Bobby Bones Show.
Starting point is 01:25:19 Woo-hoo! Okay, we love Parker McCollum. Also, my CMAs may have shattered, but may they never shatter our dreams. Clear eyes. Parker introducing? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he had just stepped off the mic, so that's why I gave him a shout out.
Starting point is 01:25:42 Plus, Texas boy, Texas forever, clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose. Makes sense. It all tied together. People will watch those archives in 80 years and they dig that out. They've got no idea. I'm going to go, what's that? What's Parker and we call him? Like, why they say that?
Starting point is 01:25:55 So that happened. It's great. We're super pumped. Just happy to be able to do this show every day. More than an award, we're just happy to do this show. And we hope you feel like you're our friends because we feel like where are your friends. Security got called on Ray and Lunchbox. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:10 I mean, I'm not surprised. Obviously. Well, there was just so much happening. It is mayhem with them. It's mayhem. Mayhem. And you would think after us being together, how long we've been together on the Box? 19 years.
Starting point is 01:26:21 19 years. Yeah. You would think at this point I would be like used to it or he wouldn't do it. But that's not the case. What happened? All right. Well, we walk off stage. We're backstage.
Starting point is 01:26:33 Are you crying? Are you okay? No. I saw Scoob and Steve squirting honey in his throat this morning. What? Lunch his head was back and Scoob I had a thing of honey just squirting it in his throat. Because they all yell. Yes, no, he's acting like it's allergies.
Starting point is 01:26:44 He's screamed all night last night. Hey, as the morning has gone on, it's gotten worse. And we're backstage. There's celebrities everywhere. And we are just paparazzi and them all up in their face. What up? Oh, there's John Party. There's Runaway June.
Starting point is 01:26:58 There's Luke Bryan. There's, oh, Morgan Wallin. What up? And then the lady goes, do you guys have passes? and we were like, she goes, stay right here. I'm going to go get security.
Starting point is 01:27:11 And that's when we went, did you have passes? No. Well, then how'd you get back there? I walked off the stage after getting our award and there were all the celebrities.
Starting point is 01:27:20 You just hung out back there. So I just stood there and started talking to people and like, hey, why not? Are you okay? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:27:29 Hey, if he gets a stye in his eye, you know what's up. I have a stye in your throat. I have a stye. I'd rather have a stye in my eye than have no one. voice. We're like all falling apart.
Starting point is 01:27:38 Did you stay out late? No. No, he left. You sure? Did you scream a lot last night? No. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. Yes, and every artist. I saw your Instagram story. I saw the Instagram of you screaming at everybody. No, every artist, every artist was happy to see me. Oh my gosh. No. I don't know. Just because they're stunned when they see you?
Starting point is 01:27:56 No. You're screaming at them doesn't mean they're happy. Like Morgan Wall and saw me. He's like, what up? High five. That means he was happy to see me. And can we talk about how we work with a bunch of citizens? Because we're driving up to the awards, right? And Peyton Manning is hosting. Don't cry, buddy. Okay.
Starting point is 01:28:16 And Peyton Manning is standing outside his bus. And we stop the car and yell at him. And I am trying to climb out of the car. It's emotional. They finally see Peyton Manning. You're okay, man. It's okay. Eddie Pat him on the back.
Starting point is 01:28:28 Get him through this. You got it. I am trying to climb out of the car to talk to Peyton Manning. And Scuba rolls up the window and tells the driver to keep driving. Here's the clip. Go ahead. Peyton. Yeah, but you weren't yelling. You weren't yelling at all.
Starting point is 01:28:51 I wasn't yelling. That clip sums up basically the whole night with every star. I wanted to climb out of the car and talk to Peyton and they would not let me. Yeah. Thank God. Why? Thank you. He was there with his kids.
Starting point is 01:29:04 And he's working. I know he's outside of his bus. I saw him a couple times last night. He's huge. Yeah. He's huge. He's so big. But don't worry, I saw him again, and I got that pick.
Starting point is 01:29:14 I saw the pick, and Peyton's like, uh, you again. Let me tell you. Yeah. I yelled, yo, Peyton, I need that picture. And he was like, don't grab, buddy. Come here. Yeah, lunchbox talked to him like Peyton owed him a photo or something. So awkward.
Starting point is 01:29:30 I mean, it was cool to see him walk right by us. And I just looked and calmly and I said, hi, Mr. Manning. And then he kept walking and then Lunchbox was like pounced on him. Lunchboxes jumped on for a piggyback ride. Peyton. I mean. it. Morgan, what happened with the police and you? Well, Eddie, so we all
Starting point is 01:29:45 met here before we went to the awards to get an Uber and Eddie hands me a champagne bottle and he's like, you're good, just drink out of that and bring it with us. It'll be fine. We show up to where we're supposed to go in and immediately as soon as I step out of the car, a cop goes, you're not supposed to have that here and I'm just
Starting point is 01:30:01 holding this champagne bottle in my hands. Open liquor. Like we get a pass. We're like, we want awards. What are you talking about? You get to break the law because you want a a CMA Award. And so Eddie's like, Morgan, just keep walking, keep walking. I don't know at this point why I'm listening to Eddie. So when cops are yelling at you, Eddie, going, just keep walking.
Starting point is 01:30:19 Just keep walking. Act like you don't hear them. Yes. Worst case scenario way, is it a knock her down and handcuff her? I mean, maybe. We're good. Yes. And we'll get there.
Starting point is 01:30:28 If you ignore a cop when you're breaking the law, do you know what to do? They go cop on you. They arrest you. So it was a good night for everybody. Oh, it was great. I met Peyton. It was great. You and P.M.
Starting point is 01:30:39 Buzz? Yeah. Hung out with Luke Combs and. Morgan Wallen. When you say hung out. Yeah, like Morgan Wallen, high-five me. You say hung out. But how'd you hang out with Luke Holmes?
Starting point is 01:30:49 Well, Luke walked by and gave me the surfs up, dude. That's hanging out? Hang loose. Yeah, hang loose. That's hanging out? Yeah. That's hanging out? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:56 He acknowledged me. Oh, good. Yeah, it was cool. Good, good. Okay, quickly, the coolest moment, favorite moment of the night. In 10 seconds or less, Amy. Okay, mine was, I kept my son on speaker phone, the first. 30 minutes of the show. So he got to hear tons of performances and that was like a really special
Starting point is 01:31:15 moment, especially Jody Messina with Coles Wendell. What about the TV? Jam. You don't want to watch it on TV? Yeah, I mean, that would have been better audio and video. You could have seen it too. He was playing a video game or something about had me in the Navazon speaker. Eddie? Yeah, I got to take my son. So that was really cool. And him just being starstruck with everyone was really awesome. Oh, Dad, that's Katie Perry. I'm like, son, we got to find the bathroom. I got to go pee. I saw Katie last night too
Starting point is 01:31:41 And we worked together for four years On Idol And I wasn't gonna bother her She was doing press And so I was just gonna walk by and say hi real quick Not even we were just passing I didn't want to be rude But I still wanted to not
Starting point is 01:31:51 I don't want to bother her And also I never know We worked with the four years But LA celebrities are different Yeah In that who knows if she didn't remember me Although we spent hours and hours Together still I'm like I don't know
Starting point is 01:32:03 My wife's like of course You work together hours You want trips And so I was like Okay let's just walk by And she came up and grabbed us, Caitlin and I both,
Starting point is 01:32:12 and just ignored everybody and talked to us for like 10 minutes. See? She's not that different. Well. Was shocked because she was so busy. And I will say that it was really kind to her to stop and just hang out
Starting point is 01:32:23 because I didn't expect it. Love, just it was great. That was lovely of her to do that. Yeah. Yeah, Katie Perry was there. It's pretty cool. Katie Perry. Manor.
Starting point is 01:32:30 And then when we saw Peyton Manning, he was with his son. So I was like, hey, I told my son, go be friends with him. So then me and Peyton can be friends. But he chickened out. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:38 Lunchbox? Oh, meeting Peyton Manning. Awesome. I mean, didn't have a lot to say, but it was really cool to me. He didn't or you didn't? He didn't. Did he say anything at all? He goes, okay.
Starting point is 01:32:52 That was it. That's hanging out more than you did with him home, though. Yeah, probably. But I mean, to get a picture with one of the- You're good. You're good. Be vulnerable. Be emotional.
Starting point is 01:33:02 You're crying. Morgan. It was hanging out with this show. That was the first time we've hung out in a while And we kind of, from start to finish, we're all hanging out together. And that was pretty cool. Ray? Yeah, randomly the Uber ride down, we were in a murdered out escalade.
Starting point is 01:33:15 And we kept telling the driver that we were famous and he really didn't believe it. I thought you guys had this shit rented a car or something because it looked like one of those cars that they put everybody in. We looked awesome. Yeah. And so then we get next to all the fans and we roll down the window just a hair and everybody just starts screaming. And our Uber drivers like, you guys really are famous. Oh my gosh. And then Scoobo tips him $40.
Starting point is 01:33:33 So he would drop us off on the red carpet. It was sick. Did the people start screaming because you were just in a black car? and they didn't know who it was? They thought it was like artists. Yeah, yeah. Definitely. I mean,
Starting point is 01:33:43 they didn't really see anybody, but they just knew somebody was in it because it was all blacked out, yeah. That's fun. You got that car. Like, that's pretty random, right? Thank God, we did have an astro van,
Starting point is 01:33:51 but it got switched up last second. Hilarious. That would have been great. Alarious. I think seeing Jordan Davis win and Lainey win, two people outside of just this world that I'm close to is the coolest thing. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:34:07 Usually I'm like, okay, it's an industry award, that's cool, good job, good for you. But for those two, especially when Jordan went like the first award. That was awesome. It was amazing. He's just a dear friend and could not be happier for him. And so to me, that was the best part of the night. Obviously, that's getting the award's always cool.
Starting point is 01:34:22 So thankful for that. But it's cool. And then we was it. I freaked out for Brothers Osborne, like probably a little too hard. Like, I jumped out of my seat. I don't know why it was, I mean, I think probably because I live next door to TJ for a while. but it was just really cool to see them and just their growth
Starting point is 01:34:39 and really cool to see them honored in that way. But I think Eddie was like... Johnnowns are having twins. Yes, she did. That was cool. That was cool. Home with the beard, yeah. Yeah, Eddie was like calm down, Amy. Yeah, like you were their neighbor. Well, it was a great night. It's a great night.
Starting point is 01:34:53 Congratulations to everybody. Thank you all. I think that's it. CMAs. Everybody good? Yeah. I'm good. Oh, gosh. I'm done. What? Are you okay? Breathe. I'm all right. allergies are terrible
Starting point is 01:35:07 We have clips of you screaming for a whole night That's not allergies No it's allergies man It sounds like he's crying Bobby Bones show This story comes to us from the United States of America From New York to Houston to California There was a nationwide
Starting point is 01:35:27 catalytic converter theft ring That made hundreds of millions of dollars And they got busted because the ringleader got a necklace of a catalytic converter and put it on his Instagram. Oh. And that's like, this is what I steal. Yeah. Like or follow for more.
Starting point is 01:35:45 No, but they started, they were investigating. They, you know, suspected him a little bit. And then they had that necklace. They're like, huh, we're going to start following this guy. Busted him, then busted the people in Houston. 21 people were arrested and they're going to, they're going to forfeit $545 million in cash, cars and real estate. Wow.
Starting point is 01:36:04 I know catalytic converters are very valuable. I just don't know what one is. I wouldn't, I don't know what they look like. A catalytic converter could walk in the room and be like, who are you? Like I'm trying to picture the necklace and I have no idea. Can we figure out it's like a muffler but it's just a newer version of it? I'm like, is it? It's a necklace.
Starting point is 01:36:20 Is it the whole muffler? Well, to me what a catalytic converter seems like is a more technologically advanced exhaust system. I don't know. I had an 89 Jeep Wrangler and they stole the catalytic converter from that. Yeah. They had one of those on an 8. 89. Back in 89. But I think every car has it, right?
Starting point is 01:36:37 I think so, yeah. Yeah. But that's a nice looking catalytic converter. Look like a muffler to me. But did we decide at one point it's made of copper and it's worth money? It's an anti-pollution car part and it has valuable platinum, palladium and rhodium. Palladium. Palladium.
Starting point is 01:36:52 That may be it. And rodeium. Rodium. Why do you sound like that? I'm trying to sound it out as I say it. R-H-O-D-I-U-M. Yeah, we don't know a lot about cars here. We're not mechanics.
Starting point is 01:37:03 Or English. Yeah. Lunchbox, that's it? I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the day. Over to the phones, this is Adam, who lives in Massachusetts. Adam, good morning. What's going on, buddy? Yes, good. How are you doing today? Doing pretty good. What can I do for you?
Starting point is 01:37:19 I was just got a question for lunchbox. With him being, you know, he thinks he's a big celebrity, which he is, but he always treats the celebrities as the way I don't think he wants to be treated. So I was just wondering why does he act the way he does in front of celebrities being a celebrity himself? He should know the kind of the way to be. That's a great question because he goes, I go into the grocery store and people will be like, lunchbox and I get so annoyed. But yeah, you scream at people.
Starting point is 01:37:49 Yeah, I'm still human. Huh? That makes no sense. That's his answer. He's still human, Adam. He's gone with it. But you're right. For the most part, celebrities don't go absolute.
Starting point is 01:38:01 Ape crap around other celebrities. I'm human. I love that answer. You are. Even celebs geek out. Even celebs geek out. I wouldn't expect anything left. Thank you, Adam.
Starting point is 01:38:15 I have a good day. Thank you guys. Wash your back. All right. Christy in North Carolina, you're on the show. Hello, Christy. Hi, Christy. Good morning, CDO.
Starting point is 01:38:28 Morning. And congratulations on your award. Amy, I'm so sorry about yours. It broke my heart. My mama is 100 years old today and I called last year when she turned 99 and y'all gave her a shout out.
Starting point is 01:38:44 So I've been trying all morning to get through to tell my grandmother my mama, happy 100th birthday today. Well, do we just call her mamaw? Yes. Mamma happy. Wait, what? I'm sorry. Her full name is Regina May
Starting point is 01:38:59 Burns Warren Parson. Wow. Regina May Burns, Warren Parsons. Wow. Happy 100 birthday. 100. That's crazy. That is crazy.
Starting point is 01:39:07 That's awesome. Yeah, I wonder what her secret is. Tequila. She said she was one to ten on a farm and eaten good and Jesus. All right. Eat good and Jesus. Whiskey and cigarettes and all the stuff that people say when they get old. Except her, not mammal.
Starting point is 01:39:23 I think I took that. Yeah. Well, Christy, thank you for calling. Go ahead. I'm sorry. I was going to say she's still knits and crochets. and whipped up a bunch of a couple of beanies and scarves for me while I was there. And if I could take a moment to give a shout out to the B team,
Starting point is 01:39:40 I put a message up when I was up there and got close to at least 300 responses wishing her happy birthday. So thanks, guys. You're making it great today, all of you. That's great. Thank you, Christy. And I hope she has an awesome birthday. And thank you for sharing that with us. Thank you.

Starting point is 01:40:29 We need to study that genetic line and see how they all get to be 247 years old. But today is the Marines birthday. And then tomorrow is Veterans Day. Yep. And I hear through the Great Vine that Veterans Day, some schools aren't in for Veterans Day. Correct. And some parents are like, wait, what? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:47 Because it was just kind of tossed on them. Some schools weren't in for election day. Had friends whose kids were out for election day. But they weren't. And they're like, we love the idea of it. But we're, we have, we're supposed to do. election day should be a federal holiday. I'm going to tell you why.
Starting point is 01:41:03 The most important thing that we can do, A, listen to the show every morning. Right, that's one. 5 to 10 a.m. Yeah. Secondly, vote. Vote. And we're not going to let people be off to vote.
Starting point is 01:41:16 We let people off for all kinds of crazy stuff. Labor Day? I'm never going into labor. I think it's for the labor. Oh, you know what? I did that for a long time, too. But it should be a day off so everybody can get to a poll So everybody can vote
Starting point is 01:41:33 But here's what I'm going to say Marines, happy birthday Glad you exist. Glad you have existed Glad you will exist in the future. Veterans Day tomorrow Everybody, if you're a veteran, thank you. And finally, everybody worked at polls. Shout out to you.
