Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never ever.
Starting point is 00:00:30 taught. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John Hope Bryant from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Starting point is 00:01:05 What you would win is a bottle of gold slager. James Fester threw it out of a van because he didn't want us drinking it. For more games with names, visit the Iheart Radio app or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, I'm Iris Palmer, host of the Against All Odds podcast. Every week, I'm sitting down with exceptional people who have broken barriers even when the odds were stacked against them. Like chef Victor Via of VAS tacos. You know the taquero from the Bad Bunny halftime show? It was great.
Starting point is 00:01:32 It was a big moment. It was special. And I felt like I was really representing my family, you know, my brand, my city. I was representing all taqueros, not only of like, you know, the U.S., but of Mexico and beyond. All the taqueros of the world. Listen to Against All Odds on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And here's Heather with the weather. Well, it's beautiful out there, sunny and 75, almost a little bit.
Starting point is 00:01:58 chilly in the shade. Now, let's get a read on the inside of your car. It is hot. You've only been parked a short time, and it's already 99 degrees in there. Let's not leave children in the back seat while running errands. It only takes a few minutes for their body temperatures to rise, and that could be fatal. Cars get hot, fast, and can be deadly. Never leave a child in a car. A message from Nitsa and the Ad Council. On the Ceno Show podcast, each episode invites you into a raw, unfiltered conversations about recovery, resilience, and redemption. Starting point is 00:03:06 Babe is the most hated pet name that women get called Babe. The survey included between a few thousand people between 18 and 60 years old. Babe is the worst. I don't know. I don't mind babe. I guess if you know the person, like, hey, babe. Yeah, for sure. But they're saying like a pet name, so you would have to know them.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Sweet cheeks. No, no, you can't. That's a good one. That one feels gross. I'm looking at the list of ones that people hate. These make sense, though. Sweet cheeks. Snookums. That feels like a joke.
Starting point is 00:03:41 I worked with a guy that called someone sweet cheeks and he got fired. Yes, that feels like a joke if you call him snookums or sweet. Baby doll is very unpopular. Oh, yeah, no, I'm not okay with that. Overly sappy and food-related nicknames were also dislike, like muffin. No, I know. Oh, how about this one? Pudding.
Starting point is 00:03:58 No. But what about honey? Honey bun made the list of top 20 most hated. Honey, honey's okay, but not honey bun. Why not? Honey bun, honey bun, honey bun. Honey bun. Too many syllables, one, and two, a honeybund is like an old pastry.
Starting point is 00:04:13 And can you just fill me in on as this? Are these like names that you're in a committed relationship with someone? Okay, pet name. I guess unless you're stalking them. Well, Eddie's co-worker. Oh, yeah, that didn't last very long. Yeah, that pet didn't stay with the owner. Nicknames you use for your significant other?
Starting point is 00:04:32 I don't really use one. You say babe? No, I mean, I say Caitlin. That's her name. Every once in a while. Yeah, I really don't. Really? Wow. Does she call you one? Or have one for you? Like, if anything, babe, I guess. That's just kind of the placeholder. Babe.
Starting point is 00:04:48 But never, we don't really have, if I said sweet cheeks, she was just like, what's wrong with you? Who are you? What, Eddie, you and your wife? Yeah, boots. We call each other boots. But I mean, this goes back to like maybe college. We went out and whatnot and she had these boots on. I was like, all right, boots. That's a personalized nickname. Yeah, and we've had that since. Lunchbox? Babe. I don't think Babe's that bad. That's it.
Starting point is 00:05:08 I'm surprised I come to the worst list. Women like these names. Gorgeous. No. Again, if I said that, my wife, I think I was making a joke. It seems... It seems super intense. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Hey, gorgeous. Oh, it seems like from the 80s. Like, Don Johnson would pull his glasses down on Miami Vise and be like, what's up, gorgeous? You have to say it's slow, too, gorgeous. Sexy. And I don't feel like sexy's a pet name you use all the time, because a pet name you can even use when people are around. Right. Like, baby.
Starting point is 00:05:38 can be used like in conversation around people hey babe will you hand me that or you could be having a more serious conversation babe are you hearing me stuff like that you would be like hey sexy are you hearing yeah that would be tough like a church don't say that sexy will you pass me the handle yeah beautiful is one of the top 20 most acceptable i think to be a strong everyday pet name it's got to be one syllable and maybe possibly two but gorgeous is too that's too much to say beautiful beautiful, that's three. Sexy is weird, even though it's two. What about kitten?
Starting point is 00:06:14 I heard somebody called their spouse kitten. That's not bad. I don't mind that. It's weird, but it's one syllable. You can make it one syllable. You can do kitten or kitten. Kitten or kitten. I wouldn't use it.
Starting point is 00:06:27 It feels weird, but I don't hate it because it's a quick one. It's just weird. Will you give me a beer kitten? Thank you. That's not bad. It feels a little dated, but yeah, not that bad. Yeah, it'd have to be something personal. like maybe when he met her similar to boots,
Starting point is 00:06:40 like she had a kitten with her? I don't know. Maybe. I don't think that one is that. There needs to be a story with kitten. Hello, Bobby Bones. I work at a corporate office for a major jewelry retailer. It is a high security area in regards to cameras, metal detectors.
Starting point is 00:07:09 I cannot wear any clothes with metal. Because of this, my boss encouraged us, since we're also in the back, to wear sweatpants and leggings to make it easier on asset protection to get people in and out of doors to work quicker. So I went shopping, bought some yoga. pants. I brought them home. I put on a pair. My husband got very upset. My husband said he could see everything and started yelling that every man was going to see what I got. He said if I was going to
Starting point is 00:07:31 wear them in public that I need to go up a size or two. He gets upset when I wear dresses that aren't floor. Oh man. That aren't floor link. Dresses that aren't floor length. Show any cleavage, wear anything tight. This is not an exception. I told him this is a him issue that I was going to wear of them, he started yelling, I should wear jeans. We've already been fighting all week. Do you think he needs to get over it or should I hear him out? Signed, professional yoga pants wearer. Now, initially, I thought to myself, is this boss a weirdo?
Starting point is 00:08:01 Because the boss was like, all ladies, you must wear yoga pants. But he also said sweatpants. Yeah, loose sweatpants. Even then, though, I feel you. Like, if I were to come up and we all were in a room, all right, let's have a meeting. Here's what I want. I want all the ladies wear yoga pants, sweatpants every day. And sports bras.
Starting point is 00:08:15 And sports bra. Security issue. That would be weird. You guys would be like, won't you the weirdest. dude. Yeah, that would be weird. Right. So my first thought was that. Good boost Morel though. So I'm going to remove a corporate office, major jewelry retailer and the metal detector. Like, it takes seven extra seconds to be like, okay, but let's remove that because there is, it's seemingly an issue more than just work here. The husband said he could see everything. And then other things, dresses that aren't floor link. That would have been my first flag well before the yoga pants.
Starting point is 00:08:49 any cleavage, wear anything tight, no exception. So this is something between you two that is going to have to be worked out. But I would say first question was, did you not know this before you married him? Because if this is something that you've known that he's extremely conservative with his own and the people around him, that's going to be a harder battle to gain any ground in because that's always been the standard that was set and agreed upon early. And I don't like it. I mean, I would never do that to my wife. And I don't really like it that he does it, but it's not my life.
Starting point is 00:09:27 So if this is how it's always been, it's definitely going to be more of a row upstream. If it's new, why? Like, what happened? It's obviously going to have to be a conversation. Is it worth a fight at home to have to wear clothes? This is what you really have to weigh. Is it worth a fight at home constantly to wear clothes? that aren't a floor-length skirt all the time i hear you i think i think it's stupid too worth a fight i think
Starting point is 00:09:55 but what if it's always been what if it's always been from the moment you met him that's always been like hey i would i really want my wife to wear very conservative clothing oh okay well and you so you've now evolved and you're like okay i don't want to do this anymore because again i don't agree with him but i'm not him and it's not illegal and if that's been the standard i have to at least respect that even though i don't agree with it i felt that yeah well it's worth a conversation because, yeah, if you dated in long skirts and married long skirts and agreed upon long skirts, but now you like short skirts, that's a conversation. It sounds like they've had conversations, though, because she said,
Starting point is 00:10:30 I told them this is a him issue and then I'm going to wear them. So they've had conversations. My advice to you is, isn't worth the constant fighting at home. If it is worth it, then just buckle up because it's going to take a while for those boundaries that have been thought and agreed upon to change. It's going to be very rough for a while. It's going to be rough. If it's not worth it, wear the stupid dress.
Starting point is 00:10:57 It's floor on length until he gets on vacation and go crazy. Go, yeah. What? You have to change in the car. You're a teenager. Yeah, yeah. Like, no. It's just be like, let's talk about this.
Starting point is 00:11:09 But again, they've already talked about it. I know. I know they need to have more talks, more talks, third party, something. Or. This doesn't sound like a guy that will go to therapy. I'll be honest with you. Third party, this is not the guy that goes, okay, I agree to go to therapy with you.
Starting point is 00:11:20 This is somebody who's like, I am right. This is the only, I don't like this guy. For the record, I don't like the guy. Whomever this hypothetical guy is. But if it is worth the rough waters for a long time, then you should fight this because you don't want to have to live your whole life like this. But it will be rough for a while, especially if it's always been agreed upon. If not, you just have to sneak it or wear the dresses.
Starting point is 00:11:40 Me, I would fight, I'd fight it. Power of the people. Justice for short skirts. Oh, yeah. medium skirts. I feel like this is my body, my clothes. But that should have been way early on. I know, but just because we're married, you don't own what I do.
Starting point is 00:11:57 But if that's always been the standard that he said, it's weird for her to get mad at it now whenever she could have chosen to not be married to a guy that has those stupid rules. Yeah, I know. Hey. Yeah, I have other thoughts, but I mean, I'm sure everything I say you're like, they probably already said that. Okay, Amy, divorce. Amy's thought is divorce?
Starting point is 00:12:14 No, that's not what I'm saying. saying, but it's just a bummer. It's sad sometimes. Which I get maybe he's trying to be protective and he doesn't want other people looking at him. He's a loser. He's a loser. But yeah. Yeah, he's a loser. So if it's worth it, fight it. It's going to be rough for a while, though. It's going to be really rough for a while. And you're going to have to give something back in some way. Like you're going to have to go out and dress like, Hamid's Tale. Mary Poppins. Yes. Mary Poppins. Yeah, times. Yes. That's a tough. I think he just married a dud. I'm be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:12:45 It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. This teacher, Maria, works in middle school in the Bronx. And one morning, she's walking up to class. She decided she was going to get the kids some donuts and she had her arms full. She's on the phone with her mom. Headphones in.
Starting point is 00:13:01 And this man just comes up to her and says, hey, excuse me, are you a teacher? And she said, yeah, why? He pulled out 50 bucks, put it on top of the donut box. He said, these donuts are on me. And then he just walked away. She was like, what? This random act from a machine. stranger because of course a lot of teachers they pay out of their own pocket when they like to
Starting point is 00:13:19 surprise their kids with stuff. So she took to Twitter and said, I don't know who this man is, but I hopes he sees his post and he knows that he brought a lot of joy to some middle schoolers in the Bronx. That's pretty cool. Also, those donuts don't cost 50 bucks, do they? Well, I think he was also just trying to. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Inflation, man, who knows? I know. Amy, that's a great story. It's just a small gesture by somebody really made a big difference to someone's day. Yeah. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. The list of what you're looking for in a dude.
Starting point is 00:13:51 A lifetime partner. Maybe not even a lifetime for a long time partner. Morgan, you're single. Yeah. Give me your five things not in order. Okay. Five things you must have. Go.
Starting point is 00:14:02 Okay. Loves animals the way that I do. That's good. Consistency. They're a very consistent person and everything that they do. Likes to be active, physically active, open-minded, and adventurous. Both of those together sound a little dirty.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Be honest with you together. Adventurist and open-minded and adventurous. Open-minded. They should not mean doing it. Let a rip. Yeah, let a rip ten-ship. I agree. Go for your thing.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Dang it. Yeah. Where was money? Yeah, I forgot. You forgot money. I have my own money. I don't need somebody to have money. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Here we go. So, she does. I have my own house. Yeah, but she want, they want money. Who's they? Girls. Oh, my God. You guys are idiots.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Girls want money and a guy. Everybody want, no. Okay. Hey, if he made no money. If he didn't have a job. No, no, there's a difference. We're not doing drastic because you can also be billionaire. She's not chasing somebody just for the money.
Starting point is 00:14:49 So we can't do somebody that doesn't have a job versus somebody that's a billionaire. Someone's jobless. So she meets a guy. She falls in love. Turns out he's homeless. She met him on the corner. Doesn't matter. He's a great guy.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Abby. Abby, you're single. Give me your top five. Okay. So he has to be like spontaneous. He likes to just go do whatever. I'm a hard worker. He cares about his job.
Starting point is 00:15:13 He has goals. He is thoughtful, like he comes up with, you know, little gifts or, you know, to make sure I know he's thinking about me. He's physically attractive, obviously. And then he is trustworthy. Got it. Those are mine. And all these are great, but I only gave you five. I'm sure everybody has all these, but I just wanted to know where your mind went with your list.
Starting point is 00:15:32 Does that be new dude have all that? I don't think she has a dude. Oh. We came on air and we talked about how she had a new dude. Well, I don't know what to ever say, so I'm just saying, I'll always stay on that show. anymore? Oh, I'm still dating him. Oh, you are?
Starting point is 00:15:46 Yeah. Yeah, I'm just trying to keep it. Yeah, he's all of the above. Amen. There we go. Amy, the five things go. Okay, emotionally mature. Now, this is you, right?
Starting point is 00:15:58 Yeah. Got it. Emotionally mature. What does that mean? Old? No, emotionally mature. Like, able to feel, you know, high EQ. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:16:08 I don't get that. What? I mean, none of us are, so we don't get it. Go ahead. You're working. on it there? I got a long way to go. I'm mile one of the marathon, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:16:18 Or open to working on being. Open and adventurous like Morgan, leather chaps. Open mind. All right. You know, we're all along. Got it. Sorry, sorry. I mean to distract you.
Starting point is 00:16:26 It's okay. You know, makes me laugh. enjoys outdoors, like hiking, stuff like that. Affectionate and shared values. That's good one. Yeah. Okay. So I say that because I just want to know where your heads were.
Starting point is 00:16:39 I give you very little time to come up with that list. But Amy, Amy has a friend. I don't know what you want to say about your friend, but she is also single and she made this list. And I saw all the things that she put on the list, and I admire it. And these are a must-have from her? Yeah, she has it in a notes on her phone.
Starting point is 00:16:59 Yeah, she keeps it with her, which I completely understand. I do the same thing, keep notes on my phone all the time and things. But here you go. These are the requirements for Amy's friend. Amy's friend's very smart, very driven. than just a plus.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Go ahead. Okay. Just read them like they are. Okay. In all caps, she has stronger than me. She's very strong. Like physically stronger? Yeah, she can't date.
Starting point is 00:17:26 I'm saying that's not stronger than her. You're dating no scrub. No way. Yeah, that makes sense. Optimistic, wise, hilarious, healthy, a leader. One I can't say. What do you mean? Is it big?
Starting point is 00:17:39 Is that it? No. I don't know. I'm blind. It's fine. Okay. Size of. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:47 Someone that feels like home. Someone like I want to travel the world with. Open-minded. OCD, but not more than me. A one nap a week. Doesn't sleep in late. Handy. Good energy, but not over the top.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Mildly protective but chill. Athletic for breeding purposes. Six-three and above. Darker or tan skin. Six-three and above. They said athletic for mating purposes. Yeah. Six-three and above.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Reading purposes? Reading purposes. Oh, yeah. Two different things. She really, if she has kids, she really wants them to be good at sports. Yeah. We skipped over. Did you say darker than her?
Starting point is 00:18:22 Yeah, like tan or darker skin. Okay. Eddie, but you're not six-three, bro, and you're married already. I know, I know. One thing about me. Preferably, no social media. Those, that's the list. She will say single forever if that's her list.
Starting point is 00:18:35 That's pretty rare. You want somebody over six-three. You'll go. My favorite is good energy, but not over the top. Mildly protective, but chill. Let me, can I see the one that you didn't want to say? Oh, yeah. Because we all had the same thought and it wasn't.
Starting point is 00:18:48 It's not that. She's just funny. Yeah, that's hilarious. Oh, it is that, guys. You said it wasn't that. Because she didn't want to do it, but it is that. I'm embarrassed. No, it is that.
Starting point is 00:18:58 And I don't know if that part's like, if she's like, because she's funny. So I don't know if she's just being like, aha. There's another reason it can't be you, Eddie. Does she give, like, a number or? No. No, but she does say. It's just like relative. So what if he hits every other thing, but he didn't hit that one?
Starting point is 00:19:13 Oh, man. Too bad. And like if she ranked them, where would that rank in the list? Oh, man. Priorities. Her personality? I don't know. But the six three things very different.
Starting point is 00:19:23 That's tough. She's tall. So. I hear you, but I mean, you'd find a dude who's, I don't know. If that's her list, she needs to drop like half of them. She doesn't pick which half. Yeah. But there's no way.
Starting point is 00:19:34 There's not a person that's that. Yeah. Oh, they're out there. They trust me. Someone's out there. She likes the... We know. We read the lyrics. Yeah, we know what she likes.
Starting point is 00:19:46 All right. Yeah, we know. You know what I got to say it. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions,
Starting point is 00:19:59 my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. Starting point is 00:24:41 What is it? Okay, we have a caller on the phone. Everybody. Say hello to Lee in San Antonio, Texas. Hi, Lee. Hi, morning studio. Morning. Lee, how are you today? I'm doing okay. How are you?

The average American eats four of these per week.
Starting point is 00:25:12 What is it, Lee? Ooh, that's a tough one. It's hard. It's never going to get it, actually. They're all tough. So tough. You're never going to get it. Go ahead. Ice cubes. Ice cubes. Interesting. No, I'm trying to think if I eat any. Stanley eats like six. I'll hit them as you.
Starting point is 00:25:30 On the floor, he'll eat it. That's incorrect. Okay. Good for you. You're still in the game, Lee. You have Amy, lunchbox, Eddie and Morgan. They're representing you right now. How do you guys feel about Amy? Do you think you have it? I think I have a pretty good idea. The average American eats four of these per week. What is it?
Starting point is 00:25:49 You feel pretty good. Lunchbox? Solid. Great answer. Eddie? I've never gotten it, but this time, I know I got it. But he's also just never gotten it. That is true.
Starting point is 00:26:00 Morgan? I feel pretty meh about it. It could go either way. I like your honesty. So, Lee, who would you like to team with here on the show? I've got to give my boy lunchbox some love here. We're going to go with lunchbox. All right.
Starting point is 00:26:13 The average American needs four of these per week. What'd you say? Well, my first instinct was toenails. But then I was like, that may just be meat. It's so gross. Then I thought eggs, and I said that's too obvious. And this happens when you're asleep. Bugs.
Starting point is 00:26:26 You're walking, you get a bug in your mouth, you're asleep, a bug crawls in. Four bugs. Or you're riding your bike and one hits you in the face. Four bugs a week. The average American eats four of the... No, I don't eat four bugs a week. You don't know it. Yes, I do.
Starting point is 00:26:39 I do. I do know it. I don't eat four bugs a week. Because sometimes you really don't know. I know with Alma Heart. I know with Alma Heart. Hey, no, with Alma hearts. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:46 But this is the average bone. Trust me. Okay. So, he says bugged. Could be. Amy, what do you have? Oh, I guess I went with the obvious that lunchbox rejected and I'm going eggs. Eddie, check this out.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Four tomatoes. It's in ketchup. It's in pizza sauce. It's in spaghetti and meatballs. It's tomatoes. Morgan? I got two here. Nobody said them.
Starting point is 00:27:11 But I was just going like basic food, not like. insects. I had sandwiches or dessert, but I love dessert and I eat like one a day. So I'm going desserts. Oh, that's pretty good. For desserts? Okay, so Amy, your answer of eggs. Eggs is incorrect. Dang it. This is it. This is it. Eddie, yours is, I'll come to you. This is it the first time. Eddie, your answer was tomatoes. Tomatoes is incorrect. Oh, okay. All right. Morgan was meh. And her answer is meh. That's incorrect, Morgan. Dang. All right, lunchbox. You say it's bugs. Yeah. What's my, what's my person's name? Lee. Lee, let's go, run runner!
Starting point is 00:27:47 San Antonio represent, let's go. Go, Spurs, go, go, go, Spurs, go. Are you stealing all the teams? Yeah, Sam's Club. Alamo! The mission's the baseball team. Oh, yeah. Ripley's Believe it or not, down on the Riverwalk. 281 of Bitter, Sam's Club 6416. Out of business. You've been to that, Ripley, believe it or not.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Yeah, it's on the Lamo. Daddy Tone. Okay. Dix. Riverwalk. Dix on the Lamo. Yeah, yeah. River walk.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Okay, listen. Dick's last resort? Yes. It's a great place, man. Got to get the matches. That's right. Okay, so lunchbox, your answer is bugs. If it's bugs, she wins the eyes.
Starting point is 00:28:20 How does she feel about that? Lee, how you feel about that? I'm just going to believe in lunchbox. Okay, well, if you believe in lunchbox, believe no more. It is not bugs. Oh. Okay, so she did not win round two. Here's what I'm going to do.
Starting point is 00:28:36 I'm going to give her a chance here. Lee, this third and final shot, I'm going to give them one more guess if any of them get it right. you win the prize. So, guys, you'll get a second guess. I'm even going to give you a hint. It's nothing like bugs or clouds. It's a real food? Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Well, I never thought clouds. That doesn't help me. Or your heart out. Oh, you're hard out. Yeah, it's nothing like that. There's no riddle. There's no trivia. So, I'll ask the question again.
Starting point is 00:29:07 The average American needs four of these per week. What is it? Four average. That means some people are eating more than four. That's how average just work, yes. You didn't good, you didn't good, eh. Okay. I know, but I'm just trying to think of like,
Starting point is 00:29:22 okay. Four. Who's in? I'm in. Eddie's in. And you never got it before, but. I've never got it before. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:31 I feel this one, the second chance guess is me. Me. Okay. Oh, I got that. That's it. All right. You need an answer. Yeah, I'm in.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Okay. If anybody gets it, she wins. Okay. Let's start with Eddie, who's never got. one, right? Eddie, what do you have? I feel me about this one, but give me slices of bread. Four slices on average. Well, I think I...
Starting point is 00:29:50 Yeah? I had toast every day. I know, I had some stupid Ezekiel toast. Oh, that's my favorite. That's really good. That's my favorite, too. Wow, look at us. We're so old. Look at us, Amy. It just feels fru-frou. You didn't do it right. It doesn't taste good. All right, it's incorrect, Eddie. Oh, great. Morgan. I'm going with a slice of cheese. Incorrect, Morgan.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Amy? An apple. No, that's not it either. Day. The doctor away. And lunchbox for the win. Four of these a week. Four vegetables. Boom.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Okay. I like what he did there. He did that whole like broad situation. Because you eat some broccoli, carrots and some corn and green beans. That's not it. But I'm going to let you be more specific. I'm going to give you 15 seconds to be more specific.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Come on. And if you're more specific, I will give her the prize. But you are kind of near it. Broccoli. Go broccoli. Four broccolies? Four broccoli. Oh, yeah, true.
Starting point is 00:30:45 Four. The average American eats four of these per week. Four carrots. Four beans? Four of these per week. Four. This is your shot lunch, but hey, you want to talk with them, Lee? Lee, like, we're so close.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Like, I'm on the right track, but I can't, I don't know. You are on the track. You ever been to Ripley's believe it or not down in the riverwalk, Lee? Huh? You ever been to Ripley's believe it or not down on the riverwalk? I have not, but they're actually going to move it soon. What the crap? Rent's too expensive down there.
Starting point is 00:31:10 I mean, prime real estate. All right. Lee, what are you? feel like I said vegetables but he didn't like that so is it I liked it as close as sure it has to be more specific I don't know if it's in vegetables or if it's like something kind of like fruit I was going to say fruit but then I'd be more
Starting point is 00:31:25 more specific is it for me I'm thinking I'm thinking bananas that's what my head went no no no nobody's eating okay listen Amy then we mean listen Amy this is us I guess I guess it's a vegetable not a fruit but he didn't say it had to be a vegetable go ahead go with your heart dude Carrants. Hey, Lee, let's go bananas. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Oh, I like that. You say this bananas? Yeah. No, it's not. Okay. Amy, what are you doing? Cairts. You said vegetables, and it was close.
Starting point is 00:31:55 It was actually the average American needs four salads a week. Oh. You know what I thought when you said be more sensitive? I was like heads of lettuce, but that's a lot of lettuce. More heads. We just weren't on the right track. No, I was on the right track. Let's in with the coin toss.
Starting point is 00:32:12 If you get this right. Lee, then you're like your ninth chance. Okay, here we go. Four, $100 tractor supply and a gift card to Ripley's believe it or not. I'm just kidding. All right, here we go. Y'all say tails never fails, so we're going to go with that. All right, tails.
Starting point is 00:32:29 It's heads. Oh, my God. Oh, my goodness. I can't give her the card. Flip it again. Flip it again. Flip it again. Lee, I can give her one more shot.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Yes, please. I have a dice. It's got 10 numbers on it. Odd or evenly, Lee. Even. boy oh boy one okay okay all right how about like what's your favorite color or something okay let me write let me write a color down let me write a color down let me write a color down let me read correct amy amy what did you see well so I was in line at the grocery store and the guy ahead of me was just in a
Starting point is 00:33:08 bad mood like he just was frustrated grumpy you could tell he wasn't hiding it from anybody and what I saw was the cashier just speak into him and offer him like therapeutic advice and she just said you know what what was happening with the guy i i'm assuming it was a guy all grumps it was a man he was older he just clearly was having a bad day and was very frustrated and he was grumpy and he was just irritated and he's like no that's not mine this is like he's just rude it wasn't lunchbox wasn't it sounds like it well that impression sounded like lunchbox no it wasn't but she spoke into him and i was like oh look at her she has an opportunity to encounter so many people every day when she's checking them out at the grocery store.
Starting point is 00:33:49 And I googled what she said right away because I was like, is that a famous quote? And then I wrote it down. And she said to him, straight up, I hope your day gets better. And remember, every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day. And so she was encouraging him to find the good in the day because clearly he could not see anything positive around him. That's pretty good. Yeah, it's originally from Alice Morris Earl. and she's from the late 1800s or something.
Starting point is 00:34:16 Classic. I used to love her. I know. So remember, every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day. Did the guy accept it? Like, was he like, oh, cool. I think he was, like, sort of caught off guard. I mean. What I heard was he walked and did one of those hill cliques to the side.
Starting point is 00:34:31 He was like, that's great news. I'm happy. And he had a wonderful day. I hope it resonated. And then when he got into his car, he's like, oh, you know what? I don't need to, like, be rude to people and I need to look for the good. And even if you are having a bad day, it doesn't. doesn't give you the right to just, you know, be rude to people at the grocery store.
Starting point is 00:34:48 And you could hear that and go, well, that's a corny saying. Because you know what? It is corny, but it's lovely. And sometimes we just need to be reminded. We already know that, right? We know that. We're told, fine. But sometimes it's just good to hear it and be reminded, even if it is corny.
Starting point is 00:35:03 And go, yeah, yeah, yeah. My focus is off. I should find something good. I should have gratitude for something when normally I don't. Heck, I don't. Sometimes I go, like, 20 years. Oh, for sure. Sure, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:15 You're not going to say a day. Nope. I'm going to go 20 years and I'll just be like, dang it, all these things did not go my way. Either I was born into it or I created it. But there's so many things that we don't appreciate because they happen for us in a positive way. We almost just assume they should happen instead of appreciating that they do. It's like judging someone's intentions and actions. We judge other people on actions.
Starting point is 00:35:39 We judge ourselves on intentions. And that ain't quite fair. I didn't quite fair how we judge others by actions and us intentions. We know, wow, I'm meant to do it. I felt this way, so I'm going to give myself a pass. But we don't judge other people like that. We're like, what did they do? So just a little check-in.
Starting point is 00:35:54 I think that's a good, I liked it. I liked it, too. I liked that it was from, you know, cashier to customer. And I wonder how many people she's impacted, because clearly she's someone that cares about her job and her interactions with other humans. And I just thought it was a special moment. And I have gratitude for being able to witness it
Starting point is 00:36:11 and also having that reminder for myself. Not to ignore, like, if I'm having a bad day, but how to manage it and find something positive somewhere, not like in a toxic positivity type way by any means, but it's just a good reminder. Yeah, and I can't wait to use it customer or to cashier and see how that flows. Oh, right back out of it.
Starting point is 00:36:30 Because sometimes they're a little sour that they're days long. Yeah. I've been there. I used to work a Hobby Lobby. And people pull up, they got return. I don't want this. Ah, you already beeped that? Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:36:40 It's up to the right call. And I'm like, what's wrong? Could you just shop? Could you just do it? And then, no, you know what? They were probably just having a colorblind day like myself. That's right. All right.
Starting point is 00:36:52 So good story, Amy. I appreciate that. And I think we'll just, we'll split from there. Everybody take a breath. Lunchbox, when you hear that, how does that make you feel? Because I feel like, I think you're a nice guy. I think you're obnoxious, but people will ask because he really liked that on the off the air. And the answer is yes.
Starting point is 00:37:06 But I think we see just a big version of that because you're performing a little bit. When she says that, what do you think? annoyance. I'm like, I don't need your advice. Like, just let me get my groceries and get out of here. Like, you don't need to preach to me about the world and what's going on in the world and how the world's a better place. And it's a good place to be here. And I can find something good in every day. You don't need to be reminded of that at all. No, I don't need you to be a philosophy major.
Starting point is 00:37:29 I was going to say a big philosopher, but I didn't know one. Socrates. Oh, that's the one. Descartes. Who? Aristotle. Plato. Mark Twain.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Wow. There's a mean, a lot of them. Yeah, you could use. Yeah, I just don't need any of those. I don't need quotes from the 1800s. You don't want inspiration. You don't want your turtles this. Do you want paper or plastic?
Starting point is 00:37:48 Let's move all my life. There you have it. Some people are like lunchbox. Yeah, we're just fine. Different strokes for different folks. That's what I say. Do you say that or I said that and you liked it? That's more like it.
Starting point is 00:37:59 I think someone else started that, guys. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Yeah, home there's something good. Michael Langston is gaming and he's gaming hard. Bue, phew, bough. Those are gunshots, by the way. He's, boom, boom.
Starting point is 00:38:13 When he reaches over, takes a bite of his sandwich and gets caught. He's choking. And luckily, his 8-year-old daughter learned the Heimlich maneuver two weeks ago. He's banging on his chest. She runs in. Pull, hoo! Two thrusts. Out comes the sandwich.
Starting point is 00:38:28 I'm surprised an 8-year-old has a strength to dislodge something from a grown name. Because imagine an 8-year-old's arm being wrapped around you. Got to pull pretty hard for that unless he's a wee little guy. It's not a good look for the dad in this story, though. Why? He's playing video games, eating sandwiches. His eight-year-old daughter saves him? Not a good look.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Altogether, not a good look. Right, like just playing video games, fine. Just eating a sandwich, fine. Just choking, fine. But all together and his daughter hopping in? Not so good. That's a good point, Eddie. Good for her.
Starting point is 00:38:58 You ever choked on something really bad? Yes. Me too. I thought I was going to die. A Dorito. Who saved you? Me, because I took my chest and I knew to put it on a corner of a table and like push it in. And finally it went.
Starting point is 00:39:11 It's always a chip, you know? It's just chips. What happened with you? I mean, I've done it with chips where I'm like, well, this is it. This is how we're going to die. In like seventh grade, it was pizza. You just committed yourself to it? This is how we're going to die.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Yeah, but I figure I'm being a little dramatic at times. But when you can't breathe. I know, it gets scary. But then I just try to stay calm because I feel like if I panic, it makes it worse. I was alone. Were you alone when yours happened? No, the pizza one, I was in the school cafeteria. And with the chips, I feel like.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Yeah, I've been alone. I've had two instances alone. One was a chip where I thought I was going to die where I got lodged. The other, I was testing at a science experiment where if you put alcohol on something, you can burn it, but it doesn't burn. And I was in like fourth grade, so I had like a washerag wash cloth, as you fancy people would call it. And I would dip it fully in alcohol and I would light it and go, and a huge flame put itself out.
Starting point is 00:40:05 But the cloth wouldn't burn. Well, once I was holding it and it burned my finger and I went, huh, and threw it. And it landed on the kitchen floor, a little fire started. I was like, I'm going to die. Oh, no. So I stomped it all out. But those are the two times I thought I was going to die by myself. Other than falling off a house and rupturing my spleen and being held at gunpoint.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Those is a whole different situation. All right, that's a good story. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Clever Taylor the 4th.
Starting point is 00:40:35 You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you're watching the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you already know there's a lot to break down.
Starting point is 00:42:34 Gorsha accusing Kelly of sleeping with a merry man. They holding Kay Michelle back from fighting Drew. Pinky has financial issues. I like the bougie style of Housewives show. I think it looks like it's going to be interesting. On the podcast, Reality with the King, I, Carlos King, recap the biggest moments from your favorite reality shows, including the Real House Wise franchise,
Starting point is 00:42:56 the drama, the alliances, and the team everybody's talking about. As an executive producer in reality television, I'm not just watching it. I understand the game. As somebody who creates shows, I'll even say this. At the end of the day, when people are at home, they want entertainment. To hear this and more, listen to Reality with the King on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:43:20 or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, everyone. I'm Cheryl Stray, author of Wild and Tiny Beautiful Things. I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast called Mind Over Mountain. In each episode, I interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes and life experiences that informed and inspired their extraordinary feats. I also bring a bit of advice into the mix so we too can better understand
Starting point is 00:43:48 how to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges. Do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to pull out what you already have inside. We're coming into this world, fighting for our lives. All I'm going to do is pull out what you already got inside. We're there to support and celebrate each other. And that's not like your story versus my story.
Starting point is 00:44:06 You're going to walk up and over that dang mountain. You're not just going to put your mind over it. Yep, yep, exactly. And if I can't walk up and over it, I'm going to go through it. Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Daniel Jeremiah. And I'm Greg Rosenthal.
Starting point is 00:44:26 And this is 40s and free agents. The games may be over, but the NFL never stopped. This is my favorite part of the calendar. Yeah, mine too, Greg, free agency, the combine, the NFL draft, Pro Days, trades. This is where teams reshape their future. This is where Daniel Jeremiah makes his money. On 40s and free agents, we break down every move that actually matters. From my draft evaluations, mock drafts, and team fits.
Starting point is 00:44:51 To my top 101 free agents and how real rosters are built, cap space, contracts, and all the tough decisions included. You got quarterbacks on the move. We got teams rebuilding. It's hope season. Yeah, absolutely. It's hope season. We'll tell you what's real, what's noise, and what it means for your favorite team.
Starting point is 00:45:09 Smart analysis, real conversations every week. I don't know about the smart, but definitely analysis. Listen to 40s and free agents on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. This guy tore a hole in his throat, holding back a sneeze. Oh, I've heard of that. It's so intense. Yeah. It's like, he's like, so you may feel like you should hold it, but it could actually do damage to you.
Starting point is 00:45:36 This guy tried to fend off that sneeze by pinching his nose, closing his mouth, while driving. And the sneeze he held back was so intense at tore. A 0.8 inch hole in his windpipe. I feel like that would happen to us because, like, I mean, we can't sneeze on this from here. That's right. Sometimes that. I mean, if it happens, it happens. That had to feel terrible.
Starting point is 00:45:57 She's your throat. Let's go to Amy. Let's get in the investigative corny. We have 90 seconds to figure out the morning corny's. You guys ready? Yeah. You know who can fix that. Are they all Christmassy?
Starting point is 00:46:05 In the throat. Bad surgeon. You could do plastic wind pipes. Are they all Christmassy? Yeah, of course. All right, here we go. The morning corny. How does Darth Vader enjoy his Christmas turkey?
Starting point is 00:46:24 You are my father. Turkey. Jesus, you are my father. How does he enjoy? How does Darth Vader enjoy his Christmas turkey leg? He's a Jedi. I don't know much about Darth Vader. Darth Vader.
Starting point is 00:46:40 Darth meat? Dark meat. The dark side. Yes. The dark side. Okay. All right. Good job.
Starting point is 00:46:44 Okay. Good job, Bobby. No, it's Eddie. Oh, what do you call Santa when he loses his pants? Pantless claws. Santa. Weiner clothes. Cold claws.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Chris Kringle, anything with the... Chris Dingle. Hilarious. Chris Dingle? That's funny. Give us that one, Amy. No, don't give us that one. Let it again.
Starting point is 00:47:08 What do you call Santa when he loses his pants? Pantless. Pantless. Underwear. Herver. No. Saint underwear. St.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Pantless. St. You know. St. Nicholas. St. Nickerless. Saint Nickerless. St. Nickerless. Yes.
Starting point is 00:47:27 Okay. Wow. Why did Santa's helper go see a therapist? Mental health. Mental elf. Mental elf. Mental elf. Because he had mental elf problems.
Starting point is 00:47:38 I mean, that works. No, if you had it, that's not it. Mental elf's good, though, huh? Uh-huh. It's really good. Say it again? Why did Santa's helper go see therapist? Because he was feeling elfless.
Starting point is 00:47:49 Elf, elf. Elf esteem. Low elf esteem. Oh, okay. I feel it's a pretty strong three, though. Yeah, y'all did great. You got them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:59 Well, we got three. The ones you gave us. On the Bobby Bones show now. Gavin deGraugh. Hey, Gavin, I was watching some of this docu series where you're road tripping, and I know that you also like to be in your bus. Do you hate flying? I just like, would you hate flying or are you just like being on the ground? Man, I don't really like airports.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Because I hate flying. I'm scared of flying. Yeah. You're scared of people, it sounds like. You know, I don't like bad interactions. And airports is like, it's like a recipe for bad interactions with people. You know, you taught me a lesson in an airport once. It was a couple years ago.
Starting point is 00:48:36 I think we were sitting next to each other or near each other on a flight. And we had both been stopped going through the airport, but you were very efficient. and very nice to people. And I would be like, yeah, let's take it. I would take like 10 minutes and you're like, no, here's what you do. You go, yeah, give me your phone. And you take the selfie for them and you give them their phone back and everybody wins.
Starting point is 00:48:53 And so that's the move. That's the lesson. Yeah, your lesson was they're going to be like, well, I can't get my camera ride. I can't. You say, you just take the phone from them. You do that. You take the selfie because you know exactly how to do it. And you hand their phone back.
Starting point is 00:49:06 That's true. Everybody wins. It's a lot faster. And it looks good because you control it. Because you've been doing it a million times. Yeah. Right. You know who did it the best, who I saw do it?
Starting point is 00:49:16 And I was like, he's knocking this out of the park. Ed Shearing, he's got it down. I got out the mole skin. I was like, I've passed your knowledge to multiple people. Yeah, the same way Ed taught you, you taught me, Gavin. So it's going generationally at this point. Hey, man, let's do this. It's like you'll save time.
Starting point is 00:49:34 You have a better picture. Just say, hey, yeah, let's take a picture. Give me your phone. Boom, take it. All right, there we go. I love it. If you're not too heavily caffeinated, the picture's pretty good. Gavin deGraw is here.
Starting point is 00:49:43 When I think about, you know, somebody just says your name, that, that, oh, cherry. That melody of chariot. Yeah. The chariot. Just that melody. I'm assuming when you play, you play all, do you play all the hits? Like your shows? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:58 Pretty much. Absolutely. You know what? Because you play a little bit of chariot? Just to get that bug out of my ear? Oh, absolutely. Just play the hook. Sure.
Starting point is 00:50:05 That's the part you know. Oh, I'm sorry. We can't post a live performance on the podcast. But if you go to our YouTube. YouTube page, you can walk to the podcast. Cherry was one of your first singles. I played it on radio. Wow.
Starting point is 00:50:24 It was one of the early ones, right? Very early. Like 2005, 2006, back in that day? Somewhere in there was a funny little group of song. The timeline is really weird because the first song I ever released, I don't want to say it didn't do anything, but it didn't do anything. It was called Follow Through, and then I got lucky with a song called I Don't Want to be.
Starting point is 00:50:46 And then Clive Davis loved the song. follow-through so much. He goes, no, re-releasing follow-through. So he wanted to launch it again, and that time for whatever reason, it was a hit. And then the next one was Chariot. You mentioned you got lucky with I Don't Want to Be. Again, I was in pop radio at that point. I don't know it from One Tree Hill at the show it's on. I don't know it from that. I don't know it from being played on the radio. So which is this chicken or egg here? Was it a single and then it got big and the TV show put it on or the TV show and then it went from there? Man, you know, it's funny with that song because I thought that was the obvious first single.
Starting point is 00:51:29 I got a phone call from a guy named Joe DeVola. Joe DeVola said, hey, I want to use your song for a TV show. I said, nah, absolutely not. I don't even watch TV. TV's stupid, you know? And he goes, okay, let me ask you another question. How much money you got in your bank account, right? now and I was like,
Starting point is 00:51:50 bro. He starts laughing. He goes, listen, think about it. We're not going to touch the song. We're just going to put it in a place where people are going to hear it, you know? When people go, I know you from Winter Hill, you're like, oh. No, I say, that's awesome. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:52:10 Okay. How have you found me? How about you found me? You know, for about six months, you start feeling pretty good. You're like, this is pretty cool. This is, I'm having some success. you know, suddenly you feel like you're a little bigger, stronger, you know. I thought, let's play the hit early tonight.
Starting point is 00:52:25 You know, let's do it like third. Everybody's gone by the fourth song. They heard it. You can't do that, you know? Everybody who's left there is watching just bored to death because they already heard what they came for. Play it again. There was like two or three gigs. I was like, I know what I got to do.
Starting point is 00:52:46 I got to play this one again. That's fine. I'm going to play it again, you know. And so those are growing pains. Those are real learning experiences, I think. And it's the stuff you've got to be able to laugh at afterward. Because every act, every act that's had a big hit, I know they know what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:53:06 Whether they decided I'm going to try it out and play the hit early or not. I don't know if they've all done that. But I know that they know the crowd is really coming for the hits. Do you? You got to play them. but you got to pick and choose your moments. Do you... Did you ever have a stage where you dislike playing it?
Starting point is 00:53:24 No. Not ever. That's good. I've got to play it. Thank God. How's it? If he'd said yes, I'd have been like, well, it's about to get real awkward. No, no.
Starting point is 00:53:31 No, literally. But, you know, it's funny because I do know acts who talk about, I don't want to play my hits. I don't want to do those anymore. And I think to myself, does this... How lucky they are right now that they get to do this? You know, you got to pull them aside, but hey, listen, I know, you know, you've been doing this song every day since he wrote this song.
Starting point is 00:53:56 But, you know, get up there and give them what they came for. You're so blessed to be able to do that. Or you have forgotten how tough real life really is. If you don't want to do a song for three and a half minutes for people who saved up three and a half months to drive three and a half hours to watch you say. that song? Well, okay. Gavin deGro's here and he's looking to me when he said that.
Starting point is 00:54:26 I'm sorry, man. To me, that's so crazy that you would want to do that song for that. Listen, as a fan, I'm glad that you feel that way, right? And with that being said, yeah, don't play the whole thing. Just give me that. Just give me the hook of that. I don't want to have him yelling me a
Starting point is 00:54:39 B. Bobby. So just give me the hook and we'll call that today on that one. On the Bobby Bones show now. Gavin deGraw. My absolute favorite song of yours is not over you. Wow.
Starting point is 00:54:54 You still like that one or no? Of course. Yeah, I love it. I wrote that with Ryan Teter. The song that I'd like for you to play it that's cool is Ford. It's from the new record. Would you give me a little setup on this and you wrote it and afforded it? So what led you to actually do both?
Starting point is 00:55:08 This song's about sort of recognizing that you've been caught up on the hamster wheel of life. The song's a conversation about somebody looking for. for advice asking some old dude, you know, what, what do I do? All right. Here's Gavin de Grohl. This is for... I post the live performance on the podcast, but if you go to us... Yeah, kill it, man.
Starting point is 00:55:40 That's awesome. The song's good, the message is good, you're good, everything. That's great. Gavin deGraw is here. There's a six-part docu-series on Facebook that you guys did about road-tripping as you're making... After the record was made, I got to go out and do another road trip. I like road-trip, and you know, I said it.
Starting point is 00:55:57 I like flying. Except I don't like being in the air. I wish I can fly on the ground. That makes sense. That's the move. That's why I don't say it. Why can we invent that? That's the move.
Starting point is 00:56:07 Can I fly on the ground? We're supposed to see the world from about five to six feet above the ground. Right where our head is. Right where our feet are on it. That's a guess. You guys check that out. And that's going to be it for now. Listen to the record over and over again.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Face the River, you will find your own story inside of it. He created music. It doesn't have to be the exact same story that you're living. I find song a lot of times that speak to me in different ways and it was originally written and it speaks to me the same way that it was supposed to speak to me. So great, great body of work, Gavin deGraw. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:56:37 There he is. Yeah. Appreciate it. Wake up in the morning. And then you turn the radio on and the dials just keeps on turn. Then you're here. Eddie and me lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:56:53 More game two. We're going to sleep red ever trying to put you through. Mike is riding this week's next bit And Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is This is the Bobby Vaugham Stone Okay Amy's only told us we're doing a mental health exercise What's the deal? It's a primal scream
Starting point is 00:57:13 What does that mean? Is it something you do? It's, I've done it before in my car Like, just like really like screaming but I'm actually so Crazy, angry, frustrated or whatever in the moment Like going crazy so it's more of like a...
Starting point is 00:57:30 You do it on purpose? Is it like a release? No, normally I'm reacting, but I'll go to my car. I'm reacting to something. This is us being proactive. And doing the scream for therapeutic purposes. I mean, some of us might be angry and frustrated right now.
Starting point is 00:57:45 I don't know, but this is something that can be therapeutic in the moment and maybe prevent us from getting angry down the line. So it's like, ah! Like that. Was that primal? I mean, no, you need to go way harder than that. It's supposed to just be like, This relate. Let me read it to you. It's a type of psychotherapy that encouraged people to address past trauma, negative memories, and you release it all in the emotions and you just scream as loud as you possibly can. Like, ah, well, you've got bottled up feelings. Just let it all out. And it's going to be therapeutic.
Starting point is 00:58:15 Well, then would you mind leading up? I mean, I want to all do it together. No, no, no, no. We want to hear that. Sense, we want you to do it first. We want to hear yours. And Amy, are you thinking of something in particular when you do it or do you just do it? Well, I think that we just, sometimes I do it. I said most of the time when I scream, it's been because of a reason. So I'm thinking of the emotions that I'm having. We're right now. Well, think of your emotion right now.
Starting point is 00:58:38 Go for it. The motion is X. Okay. Don't screen right in the microphone, though. You know how a singer when they hit the big note, they pull it down a little bit? Just move slightly to the right side of it. Okay, here, are you going to blow your voice out? Are you going to blow your voice out?
Starting point is 00:58:52 Probably. Just know, this is neat. I thought we would do it together. This is very vulnerable. Exactly. That's what therapy is. Your second is, middle health. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 00:59:01 Here's Amy being vulnerable with our primal scream. It's pretty good. You have to go as long as you can. Like, I ran out of hair. Oh, you do. Uh-huh. You can go as long as you can. I'm like, I'm a little lightheaded now, but I think that's good.
Starting point is 00:59:30 It's like a big release. I mean, I kind of heard an 80s metal song. I did too. I got the... You want to give it run, Eddie? I mean, yeah. I'm not mad about anything. Oh, you are, though.
Starting point is 00:59:39 The Cowboys suck. Oh, what did you say? Exactly. Longer. Stop hitting stuff. Wow. Okay. Wow.
Starting point is 00:59:56 I mean, his last about half a second. That was really interesting. Yeah, you have to go. His cardio is not good. Man, I like the hitting stuff. That's not the point of it. No, no, no, no, don't hit stuff. That's not the point of it.
Starting point is 01:00:04 That's a different kind of release. Lunchbox. Yeah, you want me to scream, ma'am? Yeah, but like, what are you upset about? Anything? Yeah, having to come to work every day. Okay, that's good. All right.
Starting point is 01:00:14 Yeah, I wish I could retire. You know what I mean? I'm just frustrated with it. Okay, don't scream right in the microphone. I don't scream with the microphone. Primal scream. And go. I don't know what the...
Starting point is 01:00:25 That's it. See? You let it out. I feel like you let it out. Well, mine was that long. No. No, you're right. Ah.
Starting point is 01:00:32 And then you did it again and again and again. And he says like, ah, ah. That's interesting. I've never tried that. Morgan. Yeah. Gonna give it a run? Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:42 She's mad of dudes on dating apps. Go. Here we go. Really high pits. You're supposed to like hold it, though, as long as long as you. Yeah, yeah. It's hard. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:00:55 Okay. Let me do mine. I dedicate this to our football. We just have to be, this is a safe space. See, it's hard to go long. Amy was a record fun. I went too hard at the beginning. If I would go, ah, I keep going.
Starting point is 01:01:14 Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what it, like, ah. Oh, man. Remember, yeah. I mean, that did feel good a little bit. Scuba has his whole lion's roar that he does, and that's therapeutic. And this, you can either do his lion's roar like that, or you could do just a scream. You're all together?
Starting point is 01:01:30 I can tell Amy's done it a lot because she has a long. Yeah, she's good up. She was conditioned. She's conditioned. Yeah, yeah, she's conditioned. I have done it in my backyard once before, but then I thought, this is probably, that's why I was like, I need to move it to the car. The cops didn't come. Because this could be, you know, received the wrong way. Scova, do you under your scream?
Starting point is 01:01:46 Yeah, sure, let's do it. From a screamo, a guy used to scream in a scream in a scream band. It looks like a primal scream, though, so just to kind of let it out. Like we're doing it. That's what this is. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, primal scream. All right, and go. We'll wake you up and make you feel good about yourself.
Starting point is 01:02:06 Oh, my God. Okay, okay, okay, wow, wow. I clenched my butt on that. He is so weird. That is wild. I mean, dude, like, what in the world? That was so good. All right, that's all together.
Starting point is 01:02:18 But no, no promises. I might hit stuff again. They stop hitting things. He's just saying, man. He feels it, you feel it, you feel it. He's like, your reaction. And he starts making a hit in their table so it sounds louder. Now, here we go.
Starting point is 01:02:30 One, two, three. He's still going. My voice is done. Now we're all done. We're fried. We're fried. People might need to primal screams over the holidays. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:55 Woo. Yeah, Diel. Well, you're in-laws. Get ready. Get a little. That's what it is. You hear people in the room just screaming. That's what it is. Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:03:05 Bonehead. Norrie up the day. This story comes to us from Maryland. A man was walking out of a business about to get into his Porsche SUV when three guys call him say, hey, we want that Porsche. And he's like, yeah, yeah, right. And they pull out a gun, pistol whip him. Grab the keys, jump in. They're like, oh, man, it's stick shift.
Starting point is 01:03:25 Hey, you know how to drive stick shift? Oh yeah, yeah, let me try it. No, hey, you know how to drive it? Yeah, let me try. None of them knew? Out of all three, none knew how to drive the stick shift. I guess that is something that's... Dying.
Starting point is 01:03:36 Older. It's dying. Huh. Wow, yeah. But you would think... I get it. It's a Porsche, though, to be a stick shift, though. So if I were going to carjack, I'd try carjack a Porsche because I wouldn't think it'd be a
Starting point is 01:03:46 stick shift. But if you're going to carjack, you should know all kinds of cars. Yeah, you should start practicing. You should go do a rental car. But somebody who's carjacking is not putting in time, getting ready for things, doing doing extra work. because if they were, they wouldn't be carjacking. Oh, they would buy a car.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Yeah, they would do work to buy a car. Got it, got it. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. How much is a buttload of something? Oh, what makes it, I don't know, in the hundreds. Hundreds, like 100 units? Yeah, hundreds of anything is a buttload. That's a buttload.
Starting point is 01:04:17 Yeah, hundreds into the thousands and beyond. So just kind of a generic term for a lot? Yeah. That's why I think it's a buttload. A lot. It's a literal unit. How much? A butt load is a real unit of measurement for a cask of wine.
Starting point is 01:04:29 A butt load is about 108 gallons. 108? Yeah. Well, no, I think you mentioned. So what's a butt? Like, what are they referring to as the butt? Here, look at this. No.
Starting point is 01:04:40 No, put your pants back on. I don't know. It's a butt load. I've often said it has a butt load. But I just, I don't know. Maybe I've just heard that term and then associated it with just a lot. And butts are a lot, I guess. Yeah, I guess.
