Starting point is 00:02:03 Morning. Now, usually we go around the room and we all say a little something that's happening in our lives. And this is going to be similar to that, but I have so many updates that people want, so we're going to go around the room and if there's an update, you guys give it.
Starting point is 00:02:15 So let's go. You ready? Bobby Bone's show. First of all, can we get an update on Eddie's No Parenting Sundays? So tell everybody what that is and then the update on it. So no parenting Sunday was something my wife and I came up with that, you know, we're just going to take Sundays off. Like not neglect our kids completely,
Starting point is 00:02:33 but we weren't going to parent them in the way we normally do Monday through whatever, all the other days. And so it's just Kind of like to me But anyway go ahead No no no Like we're still around You need food
Starting point is 00:02:45 There's food You point You point instead of make No we make the food We're just not like eat it You know what I mean So anyway With football
Starting point is 00:02:53 happening I mean yeah I think we're in full effect For sure for me Like football Sundays Dude I'm not around Like I'm on the couch
Starting point is 00:03:02 Yeah but Is it deliberate Meaning you guys have decided Or are you just being lazy? No I think it's just me being lazy Because my wife still like, she's, hey. She still has parenting Sunday.
Starting point is 00:03:10 We're going to take him to the trampoline park. You want to come with us? Nah, I'm good. I'll be on the couch. So do you sidebar that whole, you know, one hour dedicated time individually to each kid a week thing? It was one hour a week, Amy. And yes. Each child.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Yeah, it's four hours a week. Okay. So no parenting Sunday. Still happening for me. But it's not really happening. You're just bailing out of parenting. Just because of football, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:34 All right. Another one, here we go. You ready? Bobby Bones show. Update. An update on the spider bite that Morgan number two had on her. Well, it's definitely not staff, Eddie. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Thank goodness. Where that came from. That staff would have been bad news if it would have been, yeah. Yeah, and it's not staff. It's definitely shrinking in size. I did draw a circle around it and it's shrinked within that circle that I originally drew the day that I told you guys about it. The hard thing is still kind of there. So something might still be inside, but I don't think I'm poisoned.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Are you going to the doctor? Or do you feel like you're good since it's shrinking? You're just going to let it be? I think I'm just going to let it be. I mean, I don't have any, like, I haven't passed out. I haven't, like, thrown up or anything. I feel like that's the side of me. Hey, good enough for me.
Starting point is 00:04:15 Is that the rule of it shrinking, don't go to the doctor? I think if it grows, it's a spider bite or it's a bite of some kind. I don't know about the shrinking and don't grow. Yeah. But that's what she, you know, her body. As long as you don't pass out, you're good. Yeah. Or vomit.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Yeah. Apparently. Okay. Thank you very much. You ready. Robbie Bones show. Update. Amy, when you had pulled your earring out and it ripped your ear.
Starting point is 00:04:38 all the way down. So what's the update on your ear? Oh, I went to see Dr. Lucky. I've gone to her office like three times since so she can check on it. And I finally got the last little band-aid thing off that was holding it together. And she said that I can come back in three weeks. And if it looks good, she'll repierce it for me. Really?
Starting point is 00:04:57 So I'm looking good. So she's a Claire's as well. Yeah. No, she was like, please let me pierce it. Because if you don't pierce it in the right spot, it could just potentially rip right through again. And so I'm, yeah, I trust a plastic surgeon with where to put the hole. And for those that are asking themselves quietly to themselves in the car, plastic surgeon came up here to the studio because Amy was talking about how she ripped it out with her own hand.
Starting point is 00:05:22 He was talking with my hands. It was already on its last little, like it had ripped a lot. It first ripped when I was in middle school. But still, I'm like trying to talk on my hand. I've never touched my earlobe with my hand while talking. Oh, well, you know, I tell a story. Unless I'm being like Cole Cogan. When he does the wave Other than he looks at his ear Yeah Yeah so and I'm
Starting point is 00:05:42 Do you want to need to get her for a Q&A Because when she was up here? Yeah bring her up here I have a lot of questions I think we were talking about it I think she might be able to come next week Love it okay Let's do another one here
Starting point is 00:05:52 You ready Bobby Bone show Update People are asking if I sold my Bronco yet I have not I love my Bronco Kail and I have it We drove it out of our wedding
Starting point is 00:06:00 It's our Bronco but I'm just saying I'm the only one here I love it I would rather not sell it But I don't It's an It's a seven, whatever, it's a 70s car. I just feel like when something is not right and it's so easy to fix,
Starting point is 00:06:12 I don't even know how to fix it. And that somebody else could probably get a lot of use out of it, and we could use the space. But I have not sold in. People are like, how much? I'm not doing like what Lunchbox does when he puts us list out. People send them groceries. Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:24 Whenever we list it, we'll list it and sell it, but I probably won't talk about it on the air. Someone could offer you because it's Bobby Bones. You could sign it. You would make more money. Oh, totally. Sign the steering wheel? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:36 the seat. Add a couple thousand to it. But my butt was here? I mean, hilarious. That's funny. That's it. Okay, let's do this. You're ready. Bobby Bones Show. Update. All right, so this is a segment of work. Does anybody else need any updates on anything before we wrap it up? Is there anything from anyone else? Oh, I have one for lunchbox. Go ahead. Has he sold his car yet? No. I mean, when we get back...
Starting point is 00:06:57 Oh, you trashed it. No, Vegas. He didn't want to do anything. Yeah, when we get back from Vegas, then it'll be next step of get it to another repair. shop and see if they can fix it. Tell me how much it's going to be. And then that's when we decide, me, myself and I decide, do I want to pay for it? Or is it time to look for a new car? I like how we both. Because when I said
Starting point is 00:07:19 my Bronco, it's actually Caitlin and my bronco and I wanted to make sure that I was like, sorry, it's both of our Bronco. Then he goes, when we, then he goes, I want to make sure everybody knows it's just me. Yeah. That's my car. I pay for it. I paid for all of it, and I own it outright. My car. Okay. Anybody else
Starting point is 00:07:34 have anything they want to know updates? I want to give one. Good. That's it. Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby. A few months ago, my boyfriend of two years and I broke up, we were split up for more than two months. And during that time, I made out with a guy.
Starting point is 00:07:58 My boyfriend and I got back together a few weeks ago, and I think the time apart was good for us. I know he was out with a couple of girls, but you know what? I haven't asked him about it. The thing is, he knows the guy that I made out with, and they do not like each other. I'm afraid that he's going to find out about me getting with this other guy. Should I try to cut this off at the pass? Should I tell him, or just wait and see what happens?
Starting point is 00:08:23 Signed, guilty girlfriend. But, oh, well, yeah. We want to break. But I think it's more than that. It's with like his arch enemy. Right. That's rough. You know, what do you think they're?
Starting point is 00:08:36 I don't know, wait it out. Maybe he'll never find out. Oof. Or get ahead of head. Shoot. I keep going back and forth in my head each time. But I guess when in doubt, go ahead and... Don't say anything.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Just say it. That's what she's going to with that. Here's the thing. I'm just going to tell you what's going to happen. What would be the easiest thing to do is to not say anything? And just be like, if it boils up and I'll deal with it. However, if it's a dude that your boyfriend does not like and they just have beef that still exists, that other dude's going to let him know.
Starting point is 00:09:06 somehow because he didn't like him. Yeah, I think so. So you got, the problem is you're just now back and he's going to get really upset. It's just kind of a no-win situation. And you didn't do anything wrong, but you should have thought about it before you did it. You did nothing wrong, but you should have thought about it because once you do that, it's hard to go back. So do you gamble?
Starting point is 00:09:29 If it's me at this point, well, I'd be a terrible criminal because let's say I robbed a bank. And nobody knew it was me, but they were investigating. They're trying to figure it out. I'd be nervous. Every cop around all the time was coming to arrest me. Oh, yeah. That I wouldn't be able to sleep. So only because I wouldn't be good at wondering if they knew, I would tell them.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Not because it's an honesty thing. I don't do anything wrong. But I think because what I could not handle is going, okay, do they know? Okay. Oh, did you get a DM? I would have to say something. And I would go and I would just rip the bandaid off and deal with it as fast and as hard as possible and then be done with it one way or the other
Starting point is 00:10:06 because you're always going to be nervous about them finding out because if I was that dude who made out with you and you're back with that other dude I don't like I'd for sure let it be known. You would? How old are we? Who cares?
Starting point is 00:10:18 Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. I still think weir jokes are funny. Okay. And my wife's like, are you ever going to grow out of that? I am not. Yeah. I feel like let people be.
Starting point is 00:10:26 It's going to be weird of your 90 telling weiner jokes that is. It'd be funny again, even funnier. Like a cycle. If I would just tell them hard and quick. Don't beat around the bush. But like, hey, we're broken up. I made out with Chris. I hate it about me. I'm stupid. Chris? Yes. And then just deal with it.
Starting point is 00:10:41 And he's going to get mad. And he's going to know if he wants to be together. That's going to happen anyway. Hope for the best, though. Maybe he'll be like, oh, well, guess what? So did I. And then it's all weird. I mean, I was Rachel. You're like to. No, no, he made out with Chris too. And then it's all. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Good luck with that. I'm not a big honest. He's the best policy all the time guy.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Oh. Not all the time. Because sometimes it's not the best policy. But because I would. not be able to handle wondering if I was going to be found out the whole time. I'm an honesty right now guy. Let him know. Deal with it. He's going to find out sooner or later.
Starting point is 00:11:11 The end. Thank you. Close the mail bag. We got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mail bag. By the way, been getting asked a lot. We put 20 bucks in the green room when Dan and Shay were here and it's still there. Nobody stole the 20 bucks.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Oh, good. So they passed the honesty challenge. Yeah, good job, guys. Dan and Shay. and Dan and Shea's people passed the honesty challenge. And every guest that comes in, we put $20 and we hide it in the room where you can see it. But do we want to see if somebody steals it? And Dan and Shea did not.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Up this week, Kane Brown. Ooh. Oh, up next week, I think Darius is coming in. Oh, Darius. Oh, we got. We're just going to see what happens. And if somebody, maybe they needed it, you know? It's so dumb.
Starting point is 00:11:58 So let's now, and I, I hesitated to do in this segment for this reason. But I think we're going to spill the tea. Oh, boy. I know. Here we go. Let's spill the tea. So this, it's just the same song, different verse, but I don't know the exact details about this. So the person spilling the tea is Morgan.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Oh, Morgan. And who are you spilling on? I mean, obviously lunchbox. Okay. Anything you want to confess beforehand? No, man, I have no idea. All right. Morgan, go ahead. So we have an event coming up with St. Jude called Country Cares where the show got invited to go.
Starting point is 00:12:42 All of us individually did. And do you know what this is? I feel like I think I know what she's going to say. And I also was like, what? Seriously. So this is a real thing. Okay, go ahead. So they sent us an email.
Starting point is 00:12:53 I was like, hey, please fill this out and send it back to us because they're going to pay for our hotel and stuff for us to stay. Lunchbox responds to this and says, I need a limo to pick me up. I need a flight from Nashville to Memphis. and I would like an extra stay at the hotel so my family can come. That's what I knew about was the staying through Sunday, which is not necessary. And he's like, just so they can go out and enjoy the town and explore. So the hospital's already paying for you to stay. How many nights?
Starting point is 00:13:22 Yeah, like three nights, two or three nights. And so you said you wanted them to pay for another night so your family could stay? Yeah. So my wife and kids are going to go also and we're going to be staying at the hotel. and since I'm going to be busy doing the St. Jude's stuff, I won't be able to have family time. And since we are going to be there, I said, why would we come back that day?
Starting point is 00:13:44 I need an extra night at the hotel. So the rest of that Saturday, and during the day Sunday, we can go out and do family stuff in Memphis. Why don't you pay for it? Well, no, I'm going to help them out. I'm going to their event. It's done on Saturday.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Right, exactly. Just drive home. You'll see the family right after that. No, no. Why do you need a flight, by the way? It's just easier to get there. It's a two-hour drive. Like two and a half-hour.
Starting point is 00:14:06 Yeah, it's two and a half-hour. I've done it three times this year already. Yeah. I'm just seeing. By the time you go to the airport and you wait an hour. Guess what? Don't care. I don't got to drive.
Starting point is 00:14:15 And you fly and then you get out of the airport and drive. It's almost the same time. And you know what you get? Frequent flyer miles. That's another perk. You got to think about that. And then you want a limo? Yeah, I was saying, I said a limo to and from like my hotel to St. Jude.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Like that way when people, like, Is this a joke? No, I swear, this is an actual email he sent back to St. Jude. As a joke, as a bit. Like, not even just to Scooba Steve either, like to the St. Jude people. Scoop, did you see it? Yeah, I saw it. Do you think it was a bit or you think he was serious?
Starting point is 00:14:48 I think he was serious because he did want to spend time with his family and he thinks they have one of those services like MGM where they pick you up in a limo back and forth. Oh, he wanted like a St. Jude limo card. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Or the hotel maybe would have a car service for him. But there's other people that are going there that are like massive A-listersers. I think Brothers Osborne is going to be there, a bunch of performers and other talent. Calm down. A-lister's. That's not a list. Okay. What are you?
Starting point is 00:15:12 Probably B-list. But you know what I'm saying? Like, I don't understand. You think there's a little much to ask for a hospital? For anybody? No, because no one gets a bill when you go to St. Jude. So, I mean, what? The family's. No, they provide lodging. So my family's going to be there. No, that's for kids with cancer. I understand. But I am going there and I raise a lot of money for St. Jude. You do?
Starting point is 00:15:34 Yeah. Every year. I do a telethon and we have people call in. He's getting mad. And so I don't see what is wrong with asking for an extra night at the hotel so we can make a weekend and family trip out of it. Why don't you just pay for the extra night? Well, because why would I pay for it when I can get it for free? But you don't, you can't get it for free unless you ask.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Exactly. So you never know unless you ask. So sorry, be mad at me because I'm resourceful and I have the guts to say, hey, hook me up with a free night. At the hotel. And a limo. And a limo. And a flight. Why,
Starting point is 00:16:06 everybody else drives? Yeah. So I don't understand. I don't understand what is wrong with asking. You always say, if you don't ask, you don't know. If you don't ask. I don't. I never heard you say that.
Starting point is 00:16:18 If you don't ask. Scova, what did you think of these requests? But if you don't ask. The flight thing is crazy because I looked at it myself just in a curiosity. You don't even go, there's no directs to Memphis. You have to fly up to like Minnesota and then have a connecting flight to go to Memphis. It's like a seven-hour travel. It doesn't make any.
Starting point is 00:16:33 But I ain't got to drive. Exactly. I get the frequent flower miles. Here's the thing. If you don't ask, you don't give them the chance to say yes. That's the rules in life. Do you think they're just itching to say yes to something? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Well, so far they have said yes to his extra night's day. So he is going to be able to stay through Sunday. Yeah, they did. Wow. Like that. Like that. Check me out in Memphis. Spending the night for free.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Bring the family. But like that $100 to go to St. Jude. It feels a little grody. It's more than $100. Yeah. Is there by staying at like the P-Body or something? Whoa, you ain't got to stay in my hotel there, man. I don't need people showing up.
Starting point is 00:17:09 No one's going to show up. My safety. I think you're pretty good. Yeah, right, because now they know I'm staying through Sunday. Was this St. Jude where he stole the backpacks from? Yes. Oh, boy. Yeah, maybe I'll wear one of my St. Jude backpacks.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Just to rub it in. Yeah, I just say, hey, remember this one guy? Maybe you wear two, one in the front, like a puss, and one in the back. I'll be like, I got two. No, he can just like all of his family. They all roll up with their same two bags. Good point. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Anybody else taking their family on the hospital trip? Because it's to go and learn about what the hospital is doing. New. It's to go and be in an event or two. It's not really a family. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, my family's not going to be at the hospital events. They're not going to that.
Starting point is 00:17:50 They'll be chilling at the hotel and joining the luxuries of the unnamed hotel. Got a heated pool. Dang. Got some wildlife. Yeah, ducks go up and down the elevator. Oh. At this unnamed hotel. Sorry, don't name it again.
Starting point is 00:18:04 It's only the signature thing here. Okay. Morgan, I did not know that was happening. Thank you for showing that with me. You're welcome. Wait, wait, wait, hold up to butt. We need to address one more thing about, like, how he handles expenses for the weekend. Because he's going to try to turn in to Iheart and expense.
Starting point is 00:18:20 His Sunday trips, too. His food for him and family. Oh, yeah. Yeah. No. It's a work trip. But the family's not supposed to go. You're taking them on your own.
Starting point is 00:18:31 So work is not going to pay for your family's food for the nights they're there. Okay. You probably have to stay within whatever the per diem is, right? I don't know what per diem. I don't know what per diem you're on. I'm on a thousand a day. What am I talking about? It's like $70 or $90 if you're like in California.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Thank you, Ray. T, close that tea up. There you go. Let's spill the tea. It's so crazy. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. There's a group of middle school students in Louisville, Kentucky, and every morning they wait for about an hour, an hour and a half for the bus to show up at a little bus stop.
Starting point is 00:19:11 But there's no really bus stop. There's no bench. There's nowhere to sit. So they usually just sit in the ground, the wet ground or whatever, put their backpacks down. Well, I guess someone noticed because the kids went off for Labor Day weekend. When they came back on Tuesday, guess what? A stranger had made a bench. They just went over the weekend, made a bench themselves, and they wrote a sign on it and said,
Starting point is 00:19:32 take a seat and have a good day at school. And the kids are like, who did this? No clue. Yeah, I'm looking at the picture. I don't even know that I would notice. If a bunch of kids were just standing there at a bus stop, I wouldn't even be like, oh, those poor kids can't sit. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Yeah. Right. But somebody did. I got it. And it's a pretty good bench. I'm looking at it. Is it? They didn't just toss this thing together.
Starting point is 00:19:50 No. They're like cushion on it, but I wasn't going to do in the rain then. Oh, yeah, that's tough. So now we need somebody to donate a shelter, like a little roof. Somebody do this please. That's pretty cool, though. They just saw that and did it. I love that.
Starting point is 00:20:01 And anonymously. All right, that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. First time these guys have been in the studio, you guys, clap your hands for Need to Breathe. Good up, guys. Thank you guys for being here. Man, this is super cool for me because I am a big fan.
Starting point is 00:23:38 So let me ask very generic, basic questions, Bear, if you're cool with that. I love it. Need to Breathe in all caps. Why? Marketing. No, we thought it looked good at the beginning. And then we realized on all the festival posters that we looked bigger than everybody else until we kept it. That is smart.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Right. Once on a comedy record, Eddie and I, we did a record and we called it the critics give it five stars. That was the title of the record because we thought people would see it and go, well, if the critics give it five stars, we should listen to it. Yeah, I like that. Okay. That's number one. Question number two, why no space is in need to breathe? I think it was just to think they look better on the T-shirt that way.
Starting point is 00:24:16 And it was back in like emo time. also because it was like, you know, so at least we didn't do a different spelling or something. Cheesy like that. Yeah, two, need to breathe. Yeah, there wasn't. Were you ever emo? Were you ever, did you feel? No, not really.
Starting point is 00:24:32 But people, when we, just rock at that time, it was like Michael in a romance and all that kind of, everybody was like, thought that's what you had to be. But no, I don't think we were. Do you ever wear makeup to perform? Once on accident. The first video we shot in LA. We all, like. Mistakes.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Yeah, they literally brought this person in. You know, it was like, you look great, you look great. It was like, everybody does eyeliner. We're like, everybody. And then we got the video back and we were like, oh, no. Like, that's, our parents are not going to let us come home. And by everybody, they meant just my chemical romance. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Yes, yes. You guys put out the record at the cave. So tell me, because I know it's a track, but why name, like, why that? Why that? Caves. I think it's the way the record felt to us. We went away both times in the. studio where we kind of just like disappeared for a while. And I feel like that's what we're trying
Starting point is 00:25:24 to do with songs. You're trying to go through things that maybe people want to move on from. And so we spend a little bit of time that year is always getting like 20 pounds when I'm, you know, trying to write a record because of that. It feels like you're just very insular and spending time with the subconscious things and all that. And then when you come out of it, it feels it's very freeing. It feels like, okay, we've dealt with all that. We can move on now. And that's a lot what I feel like the record feels like to me, you know, a little celebration of that moment. The record, again, called Caves. And if I'm correct here, you wrote it or maybe recorded it in two parts. Like you went to Utah, I did some. And then you were out with one Republic for a while as well. Does it sound different? Does it feel different when you hear it back based on where you were in your life, either all together in Utah or on the road? I think it does in the sense like, I mean, we've been a band for a long time, obviously. It's been over 20 years. At the beginning, you're in a van that we were around each other all the time, 24,
Starting point is 00:26:19 and you're having all these conversations that we don't get to have as much anymore. It feels like now that everybody has their own lives and lives different places. So I feel like it's really important for us to get in that room and just kind of do life together a little bit. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:26:31 Figure out what kind of record we want to make. So it feels very, the record feels very intentional. I don't know if we were as much as we thought we would be. But listening back, that's a feeling I get, a very thankful feeling that we still get to do this. And that's actually how we feel. When you perform, you go pretty,
Starting point is 00:26:49 hard. Yeah. Yeah. It's a whole sweaty. It's like a game. It reminds me of what I would hear about, Angus from ACDC. He would go and perform a whole show and he'd lose like 10 pounds every show because he was just going so hard. Do you feel like at the end of it, you need like a banana? Like after a marathon? A little bit. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it's not good unless you sweat into your boots. But that's some of that's from the football days too. It's just like the feeling of like losing yourself in it. I mean, I feel like the two hours go by incredibly quick for me, especially on good nights. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:27:23 It's just like you blink and then it's over and you're drenched. And it just feels like you gave yourself to it. Judas here from Judean the Lion. Good to see you, buddy. Good to see you too. So how do you know these guys? How does this come together? Well, these guys were heroes of mine growing up.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Were? Then he got to know you, you know? Yeah. I would turn into brothers, friends. We're going on tour together. fall, start next month. So it's all really exciting for me. It's very, two very intense bands, vocalists, sounds, like in the best way. Because like, Judah, you go hard too. Like, we play at the house and it does,
Starting point is 00:28:05 take it all back, take it all. Like, that's the jam. Like, when you finish, I assume you're pretty wore out too, right? Because you go hard. You take it seriously. Yeah, I relate to the sweat for sure. And so when you do a song together, Bear, do you go, all right, we got the song. We think you'd be great on it, or do you write it with someone in mind? Luckily, I mean, this time we both were talking about doing one, and he sent me an idea at first, and he told me this story, and I don't want to steal the story, really, but he told me that they saw us, or he saw us when he was in college of Belmont here in Nashville, and, like, went back and was like, I want to make a band. And I didn't know that. I've known him for a long time, I didn't know that part of it. And so he sent this thing about Dreams Come True was the name of the title, and it was about, really, about them going on tour with us.
Starting point is 00:28:49 and we sort of mess with that a little bit, like maybe we can write that kind of thing. Then it felt weird for us to be saying that in a song. So it's like, you know what I mean? So it became like, what if this was about our fan bases and the career that we've gotten to have? Because we have similar fans in that way.
Starting point is 00:29:06 They're just like, from the first song all the way to the end, they're singing every word. And it just feel very lucky for that. So yeah, he started it. And then we just worked, we sent a bunch of ideas back and forth before we landed on the final music thing.
Starting point is 00:29:18 So, Judah, these guys were so good. You were so inspired that you saw the perform and you thought, man, I need to do this with some folks. Yeah, and I was kind of like freshman year at Belmont, just kind of, you know, going to school for songwriting and music, also playing baseball. And I was kind of at that point for me. It was like where I was choosing between baseball and music. And not that I was like that good at baseball, but at the time I thought that I might, you know, go for it. And I saw them on their outsiders tour. And yeah, just like the influence that they've had on us is just like the, I, we had,
Starting point is 00:29:54 we kind of started dabbling in like with playing the music with mandolin and a banjo and to see how up front that was with this like Southern rock sound and me being kind of a middle Tennessee boy. I just kind of like really related to the message and just the, I guess, the attitude behind it. And yeah, so it was like so influential like with our kind of first writing days and kind of branching out and being able to, I guess, really believe in ourselves in that way. And what's cool? Well, I'm proud of.
Starting point is 00:30:24 They'd never met till today. I had them meet right in the studio on the stage. Yeah, it's really exciting to bring them together. Yes, yes. So the album is Caves. This is Dreams with Judah from Judah and the Lion whenever you guys are ready. Holy crap. Come on.
Starting point is 00:30:40 That was awesome. Man, sometimes people come in here and they suck. That was the opposite of that. Wow. That was good. I feel like close to one of the, like, yeah. It was one of the best. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:50 I mean, really, we don't say that. Our audience knows we don't, we don't do that. And I have, like, a little code words. I said in my audience when somebody's not that good. I did not say any of them doing this. This is, that was awesome, guys. Seriously. Wow.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Okay. Can you ever feel like what a code word is? I do on my stand-up act, but I won't hear. Yeah. I do, I do, but I don't do it here. But it wasn't any of that. Yeah. That, who, okay, let me say this.
Starting point is 00:31:11 If you like that, the tour, tickets are on sale now. They went on sale Friday, which was the 22nd. But Jude in the Lone. Lion, the Caves World Tour, I guess the new dates went on sale with this. So you guys go and go to the freaking concert. Holy crap. Are you guys that good in concert? It'll be better. There's no way. I don't believe it. Yeah. That was really good. That was really good. Yeah. Need tobreeds.com with Judah and the Lion. The new dates just went on sale, but there are dates.
Starting point is 00:31:39 I mean, you guys are doing a lot of shows. Jude is going to got to go to the airport. You got to go. Very important person. Yes. Yes. He's got to get to his jet. He was like, you need to get me out of here immediately. You got a Pilates class in New York. Hey, we get it, man. You got places to go, people to see. You got to go find the lion. We have, Judah and I, I just realized, I think we have matching rings on.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Do you have the star ring in silver? Very nice. Wow. What time is your flight there? You okay? Oh, yeah, it'll be fine. It's a hot yoga session on the jet. Got it, got it, got it.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Got it, okay. He wants catering to be warm on the plane, so we got to get them out of here. So, need to breathe, we'll stay in studio. Judah will go. Lemmo ready outside guys warm? It's been waiting. Okay, just making sure. Needtobreeth.com with Judah and the Lion
Starting point is 00:32:25 and all these shows. You guys go see them live. It's a Bobby Bones show interview. In case you didn't know. Man, that last performance was so good. Need to Breathe in studio right now. And here's the deal. They're all here.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Bear is the lead singer, named after Bear Bryant, by the way. Oh, really? Oh, fun fact. Fun. Well, I already knew it. You knew that for that. We did an hour to.
Starting point is 00:32:46 together on the Bobbycats, so I got to know them pretty well. And they're going on the road. You guys go to need to breeds.com to watch them. They're so good. They have a new record out called Caves that's out right now. It just came out. Here they are. Need to breathe.
Starting point is 00:32:58 On the Bobby Bones show now. Need to breathe. Hey, Bear, let me ask you a question about your performances on stage. When did you feel comfortable like dancing? Dancing's a weird thing for a front man to do. Yeah. Not that you're doing routines, but you've got to like feel the music. Like, what is your dance style?
Starting point is 00:33:16 I was really into millie-vin-illy when I was a kid. Yeah. But it's like, you know, you've got to really feel comfortable. Yeah, it's weird. I mean, because early on, we were a very, like, strict rock and roll band. Like, you play guitar on every song, you don't leave the microphone, you don't talk a lot, you know. And then we, you know, you just realize that you get bigger rooms. You can't really relate to people if you don't do it.
Starting point is 00:33:37 We went out with Taylor Swift, you know, 12 years ago or something like that and did all these arenas and stadiums. And that was probably the first time where we would look back at the video that they shot and it'd just be like her. face. It's like, wow, we're pretty intense and boring to watch in that way. So we had to develop like, you know, that thing. Because really, you're just trying to get the music across and have relationship with the audience and make it feel like it's a push and pull, you know? And so that's where it comes from. And I've just gotten less, I don't know, self-awareness or maybe more self-aware. I don't know what it is. It's just like, I'm just, it's just really fun. And you'll like have, I mean, you'll kind of just go with the music now more than I think ever before. Would you agree with
Starting point is 00:34:15 that? Yeah, no doubt. And I, and I, And it just, you, the biggest thing obvious is like, whatever, if you're having fun, the audience is. And the more I see, I saw Pearl Jamma, the long ago. I was like, it's incredible. The audience is totally into, there's hardly any production. It's not a bunch of lights and all that. It's just the band likes playing their music and everybody likes hearing it.
Starting point is 00:34:33 And that seems simple, but that's what we're going for, you know. When you start a show, do you guys do, everybody put your hands in, one, two, three, like a champion. What do you guys say? We say, joy boys. Do you really say that? We really do. I don't know what to do.
Starting point is 00:34:45 We really do. I'm confused on my reaction. It was a joke. You know, I don't know. It's, I'll just freeze them out and stare out. It used to be very violent. It was like, you know, kick their butts in the face or something like that. And then it got to be, we're like, well, let's just have a reminder of like, I had this dream, literally,
Starting point is 00:35:00 and I woke up and I thought I was brilliant when I woke up. And I told the band, I was like, this would be really inspiring. We'll put our hands in. We'll say joy boys. And I all laughed. And now we do it just to make us laugh. And like, just remember that we get to do this. It's not something you get to, you know, you can earn.
Starting point is 00:35:16 So if I would have laughed, then you would have been cool. Yep. Because I was scared to laugh and didn't. I like how you played it. Now we're going to change. Very diplomatic. Well, what I'll do, sometimes what I'll do too is if I'm interviewing somebody and not you guys because you guys are nice and personable. But especially if I want something, I'll just stare and be quiet and I'm okay with uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:35:33 And people will then feel like they need to talk. So when he said, Joy Boys, as you saw my face, I did nothing. I just stared at him. I was like, I'm going to let him give me my next move. So the new record, Caves. So are you, do you, how much of this new stuff are you playing on the road? Do you switch it up? Do you play in some nights?
Starting point is 00:35:50 Yeah. Some nights. There's probably seven or eight of the new ones. And then we have a place in this show where we can play a different song every night, you know, on the acoustic set. It's easier. So we'll end up playing all the songs from the record over the tour. But we always do that. I mean, our fans want to hear the new stuff.
Starting point is 00:36:06 They've seen us a bunch of times. We're not like they don't play the hits band either, though. We love, we love doing that. So it's a lot of, I mean, it's tough. It's nine albums. and you're doing a two-hour set, so it's like 30-some songs maybe. And it starts with like 80 on the list. And you've got to get it down to 30, so it's difficult.
Starting point is 00:36:23 But probably, I don't know, six or seven. Do you have different set lists that are already complete, though? We're going to do this set list tonight. Then we go to, let's go to set-less B, or do you just switch it out one at a time? We try to keep it in blocks, if that makes this nerdy, but four or five song blocks that go together because the flow of them keys, you know, the way that. So we probably flip out the blocks or move them around like that, like little pieces. like Legos.
Starting point is 00:36:47 It's a very joyboy thing to do, if I'm being honest, you know? That's extremely joyboy about you guys, and I like that. One, two, three, Joy Boy, you know? Yeah. So the record, again, called Caves. Okay, would you guys play West Texas win? Is that cool? We'd love to.
Starting point is 00:37:00 All right, here they are. Need to breathe, everybody. Let's go. That almost makes me emotional. It's so good. And we get people playing in here all the time. But that's special, guys. Seriously, it's just one of the best performance we've ever had.
Starting point is 00:37:16 Oh, you know. For sure. Holy crap. Let me say this. Caves. The album is out, just came out. They're on tour with Judah and the Lion. You guys can go to Need to Breathe.com.
Starting point is 00:37:27 I would tell everybody they're so good live, but I feel like we're cool on that. You heard that. Yeah, yeah, we're cool. I mean, they just heard that. But man, let me tell you, that is something else. I become a bit jaded doing this because I have really, it's the land of giants.
Starting point is 00:37:41 The city is the land of giants. And every once in a while, you meet like the big jolly green. That's you guys today. Holy moly. Oh, people go watch you guys live. Check out the new record and I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Anything you want to say? I don't know. It's really powerful. I feel like if you go to one of the shows, it would probably be such a release for so many people. I mean, like you said in the blocks, I assume like the highs and the lows.
Starting point is 00:38:04 I could picture myself literally. Was that a high or a low? Like I felt both. I felt both too. That's what I'm saying, like I feel like I would leave a show and be very therapeutic. But like fun,
Starting point is 00:38:13 therapeutic. Fun, memorable, therapeutic. But also, okay, on your bicep, are those george? Jorts? These are jean shorts. Yes, they are. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:22 Shorts. They're back in style now. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's, I had a therapy session where a guy was like, went through this thing. He was like going back to old memories, some bad ones at first. But then it was a good one. He was like, what was the best memory you can remember?
Starting point is 00:38:34 I'm like, eight years old. He's like, what are you wearing in there? I'm like, jean shorts, no shirt. And as soon as I said that out loud, I was like, I'm getting a jean shorts tattoo. And so, yeah. Hey, lunchbox, how fast do you think Barry could run the 40 back in the day? sizing him up right now. He's not very tall, so I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:54 He's easily six foot. Six feet even. Yeah. Well, sitting on a chair, he doesn't look very tall. Okay, fair. Because that guy next one's really tall. Or it's a short torso? Yeah, yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:39:03 What do you think? Six seconds. A six 40. Yeah, like a 5'6. Oh, a 5'6. Got it, got it. At your fastest, what could you want a 40? 438.
Starting point is 00:39:14 So he played wide receiver. I mean, he was... Dude, what? He was legit wide receiver in college, like setting records and stuff. South Carolina player of the year. Where did you play college? I played at Furman. Dang.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Okay. So you want to apologize? No, I don't want to apologize for anything. Okay, I like it. All right, there we have it. Who does? Exactly. Need to breathe.com.
Starting point is 00:39:37 The record is caves. Guys, thank you so much for giving us some of your time and some of your music. That was really fantastic. All right, there they are. Need to Breathe, everybody. Nice job, guys. Here's the voicemail we got last night. Morning Studio, I am listening to your guys this post show about a possible Bobby Bone Show cruise
Starting point is 00:39:56 that you guys talked about back in July. We all love your show. They do three-day, two-night, three-day cruises all the time. You guys could do a Bobby Bone show cruise in that time and do, like, Yoki and easy trivia and all the things that you guys do on the show, just do the show in different parts on the cruise. How amazing. And I would absolutely pay as much as I needed to to attend that. This is no strategy of mine to build up a cruise.
Starting point is 00:40:27 I still don't think we'll do one, but I've been open a little bit to it. The two things that listeners have been talking to me most about, if I see them when I'm touring or see them just out somewhere, they want to talk about, are you doing a cruise and how's your butt? Or people are like, I also have a hemorrhoid, and nobody ever talks about and normalizes it. And I'm like, wow. And it's an awkward conversation for me to get in right then.
Starting point is 00:40:48 because it's easy for me to do like this. You can do a show and tell on the cruise. Interesting. The butt? Should we bring a doctor? Doctor. Dr. Royd? Is there a hemorrhoid?
Starting point is 00:41:00 Or is that just like a protologist? I don't know. We're not there yet, but we are definitely... We're close, though. No, we're not close, but we're considering it. I was also told by somebody at the company, don't do it. Really? Because I'm going to be miserable.
Starting point is 00:41:12 They probably get seasick, that's why. Yeah. Here is Alexandra. Good morning. I have a morning, according for Amy. Why don't you listen to an unsharpened pencils jokes? Because they are pointless. Boom, shock-a-lacca.
Starting point is 00:41:29 That's good. There you go. Thank you. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'll say. Yep, that's me. Clever Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions,

Here's Amy's pile of stories. Californians may want to start stocking up on Skittles
Starting point is 00:44:20 because the new bill reached the guy. governor's desk and it's just waiting for a signature which it's called the California. No, no, no, don't people stock up because aren't they saying don't eat it because there's like a poison, like a top. I remember the story it's like Skittles and like the coloring or something has some kind of bad. Yeah, because they're banned other places like
Starting point is 00:44:36 are already banned in Europe and yes, they're. They want to start stocking up on cigarettes. They're going to put a label on them. There's some food additives that are questionable. They're believed to be hazardous and possibly carcinogenic. Surprise is not political. We support Skittles.
Starting point is 00:44:52 They turn everything. Everything turn political by everybody. But yes, I don't know. I like Skittles, but I don't love them enough to care. Right. Somehow, my daughter saw one of these stories about Skittles, and she told me the other day, she had this big proclamation. She's like, I quit eating Skittles. And then she was like, hey, when you're in the gas station, can you get me a Mountain Dew?
Starting point is 00:45:13 I was like, I don't know what's in that. Yellow 5, you know what that does. What? I thought they just told boys that. What is? That's what I've always blamed it on. Oh. Because you loved Mountain Dew. Yeah, I drank like three later a day.
Starting point is 00:45:28 Yeah, we're five, though. Yeah, I know. All right, what else you got? Okay, so your smart watch, especially if it has like a rubber band, do you ever wash it? No. Clean it with like a Clorox wipe or something because there's this whole story about how. I don't. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Most people don't. So you're not alone. A report said that 95% of people are like, yeah, I don't really clean it. But if you work out a lot, the tests were showing that staff was on the watches. And if you handle animals, traces of E. coli. Both. Yeah. I work out and handle animals.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Sometimes I work out with animals. And the rubber and the plastic, those harbor more bacteria than the metal ones. That's a great point. Never thought about it. I've seen people take their watches. Like if they have a watch that's not a smart watch, let's say they have like a Timex or whatever, a Rolex or a bowl X or any kind of X. They've taken their watch and on the backside of it, they've put their watch.
Starting point is 00:46:20 their smart watch. So on the band, so they can wear both, so they can still monitor like their vitals and stuff. Interesting. So they can still wear their watch that they like, but they've had that smart because it can like hop on your wrist. I don't know how to hell's all this stuff. But it's like a double watch.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Which I thought was pretty cool. I haven't done that, but I thought it was pretty cool. I don't watch my watch band either, which is I'm disgusting. I'm watching my credit cards. I don't watch my watch band. Well, now you do. I hate me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:45 And the easy fix is just, you know, Lysol, Chlorox, whatever, alcohol wipes, something like that. So Kane Brown talked about how he had imposter syndrome When he first started playing large venues He overcame it when he performed at Fenway Park Because he felt like he actually belonged there But he did a whole sit down with Will Geis for Sunday sitdown on NBC And they were talking about that Willgeist or Willie?
Starting point is 00:47:08 Oh, sorry, Willie Guys Oh, I was going to say. I know Willie Guy. I know they're close. I didn't know if maybe that was like a daytime version of Willie, Willie, Willie was Will a Will at daytime? That's so weird. Like I thought I said Willie, but I said Will?
Starting point is 00:47:17 Yeah, Kane will be on the show tomorrow for a little Friday. sit down. Yeah. With Bob. No, I don't like that. Don't do that. I don't like that. No.
Starting point is 00:47:27 And he'll be at our Iheart Festival. Sure will. Lots of cane. Yeah, lots of cane. Cain's awesome. Pickle fries, man. They're awesome. They have made their return to Sonic for a limited time.
Starting point is 00:47:35 Crunchy dill pickles fried to crispy perfection. You know, I like pickles. Like if I keep some in the refrigerator, every once in a while I get into them, I'll eat a pickle. I like pickles fine. And I like pickles okay when they're slight. I love pickle fries.
Starting point is 00:47:49 I love fried pickles, pickle fries. Yeah, they're really good. And it's Sonic, they're the best. So you can get them served with the side of ranch. The perfect snack or savory side for pickle fans. See, I'm not a pickle fan. I'm a pickle fan, though. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:48:03 I hate pickles, but I like fried pickles. It's like I hate onions. Yeah. And I can eat an onion ring if it's really cooked. That's weird. I hate peanut butter, but I can eat peanuts and butter. See, I know I feel like I finally relate to what you're saying about peanut butter because I have like a strong dislike of,
Starting point is 00:48:19 Pickles like, ugh. But then fried, no problem. The pickle fries are awesome at Sonic. So pair your pickle fries with a classic Sonic Cheeseburger, Make It a Mill. Enjoy it as a snack or have it with a drink or have it with the dinner. Or do like I did at him for breakfast the other morning. I had a bunch up here. I just ate pickle fries all morning. All right, thank you. I'm Amy. That's my pile.
Starting point is 00:48:38 That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. There's a program in Montgomery, Alabama, and with the YMCA, They're helping people. It's called Brown Bag Bus. And so what's happening is they have turned these old buses into a way to deliver meals to kids who can't get to grocery stores, have food insecurity, can't have healthy food either.
Starting point is 00:49:04 And so over 500 kids in these Montgomery School Districts are benefiting from this. The bus drives around. It's basically like the ice cream truck. That's cool. But healthier. So maybe not as exciting to the kid at first. They have music? Hey, but food.
Starting point is 00:49:15 But way better. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know they have music unless it's like a white sneak on the radio. Here I come again on my own. The program's all about children. Every lunch they distribute has a vegetable, fruit, protein, carton of milk. They even deliver on holidays.
Starting point is 00:49:31 So the communities come together to raise money for it. They have people that drive the buses. They even pay people that drive the buses so they also can work. It's a really cool program that the YMCA is doing down in Montgomery, Alabama. I just wanted to do a little highlight of that. So appreciate you guys. Keep it up. Hopefully other communities can hear and learn from this and do the same.
Starting point is 00:49:49 That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Tomorrow night you can watch on Hulu our I Heart Radio Music Festival in Vegas, T-Mobile Arena, tomorrow and Saturday. On Hulu, that's crazy. Awesome. We're moving on. We're moving on up. Yeah, let's go.
Starting point is 00:50:06 So 10-9 Central, 7 Pacific, Kane Brown, Tim McGraw, Cheryl Crow, Lenny Kravitz, Fallout Boy. I mean, Lle Wayne, TLC, it's going to be awesome. But you can watch on Hulu for the first time, which is super, super cool. Very excited about that. Okay. Amy, we're going to do the investigative corny. We felt miserably last week. Oh, we're so bad. But she gave us, like, bad jokes.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Did I, though? Yeah. Yeah, you did. So we have 90 seconds to figure out as many of these we possibly can. The timer doesn't start until Amy finishes a joke. Let's go. The morning corny. What do you call two ducks and a cow?
Starting point is 00:50:42 Quack cow. Beef, quack moo. Quack, me, quack, moo quack. Moo quack. More. Beef. Me. Two ducks.
Starting point is 00:50:50 Quak, quack, mu. Oh, yeah, yeah, two. Moo, quack, quack. What do you call two ducks and a cow? Quack quack quack. Quack, quack, quack goose. Quack. Quack, quack.
Starting point is 00:51:01 A duck. A doctor. A quack. A duck. Quack. A cow. Quack moo. Quack milk.
Starting point is 00:51:10 Quack milk. Quack milk. That's it. Oh, nice. Why did the biology teacher break up with the physics teacher? No chemistry. No chemistry. That's good.
Starting point is 00:51:20 Yeah. Why did the whale blush? It's a blue hole. They saw its hole. We saw it blow hole. The blow hole. Blubber. Blubber.
Starting point is 00:51:32 Some of blubber. What's the question again? I don't know. Why did the whale blush? It's blow. It blew early. Maybe we should go out, get away from the blow hole. You do you think that?
Starting point is 00:51:43 No, I think the blowhole has to be. Why did the whale blush? If it is and I don't want to do it. Okay, if a whale blushes, someone either sees them or they, They see something. Oh, they saw the squid. They saw the octagon. Oh, no, I can't see that.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Whoa, whoa, whoa, that was close, dude. What? I can't say that. Naked fish. They saw a naked fish. Don't say it. We're not going to say it. I'm done, guess.
Starting point is 00:52:08 They saw, they saw something, right? Yeah, but I can't say it. A mermaid. We got two, though. What is it? Why did the whale blush? Why? It saw the ocean's bottom.
Starting point is 00:52:19 Yeah. Oh, we saw something. to know. But hey, you know what? Improve it from last week. That's not bad, man. Okay, we'll take it. All right, go ahead. Here we go. Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can't lose. Amy, I think you'll like the sports story. So Brandon Aubrey is a kicker in the NFL. Do you know what team he plays for? No. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:52:37 Yeah, it's Cowboys, man. The Alice Cowboys. I had Eddie wears right there. The team he loves. So he was drafted from Notre Dame to play for Toronto FC, which is Major League Soccer. He was a soccer player in Notre Dame. Didn't play football. So 2017, he goes. He plays there. He got released after one season. He did not stick. He didn't play any more soccer.
Starting point is 00:52:55 And so they're watching an NFL game. And his wife's like, you can't kick? Why can't you do that? Just watching it on TV. And so he's like, okay, because he can't kick, but that ball's different size, different shape. And so he started practicing on his own. And now he's a starting kicker for the Dallas Cowboys. So do you just audition for that?
Starting point is 00:53:14 Yeah. Try out. Try out. So you just show up. Well, you kind of got to find, listen, if you kick on a video, and you show and somebody's going to say like hey come take a shot
Starting point is 00:53:23 and they can pass you to somebody else. Like there's a way you can go and kick for a small college because they'll know people who know people. But yeah now he's the kicker for the Dallas Cowboys. He's already made like a lot of... Never kicked. Never kicked his whole, like
Starting point is 00:53:37 high school. His MLS salary planned soccer was $65,000 at the highest level of, you know, like that's like the major leagues of soccer, obviously major league soccer. His NFL minimum salary is $750,000 a year. Wow.
Starting point is 00:53:53 He made it. Not bad. That's from MLS. And he's just a kick. Not just a kick. I know I know it's a lot of pressure on you, but it's, you're not prone to some of the injuries of some of the other guys. He missed his first one that he played this year, but then he's made all the rest. We were at UCF doing too much access and their kicker stays in a different room the rest of the team.
Starting point is 00:54:15 Like in the locker room. Why? That's a kicker. It's a kicker thing. Kickers are peculiar. Which is interesting because they're the only ones that use their foot in football. You know, Eddie and I've been doing these kicking things. Like we went to Vanderbilt and we were kicking field goals and I sucked and we got a lesson from the Arkansas kicker,
Starting point is 00:54:33 which is going to be coming out soon. And I'm terrible at kicking. I'm still pretty athletic, but I'm terrible. And I said Eddie a text of the day, I'm like, why am I trying to kick right footed? I don't have right footed anything. That makes so much sense. I've been trying to kick right. I just watch Eddie and I'm like, okay, I'll try to do it like that because Eddie's good.
Starting point is 00:54:47 But why am I doing it right footed? I'm left everything. You don't do anything right? No. It's interesting that you just walked up and kicked it with your right foot. I think I just saw you do it and was like a toddler
Starting point is 00:54:58 who wants to watch, do it like daddy. If you were to do a cartwheel, do you lead with your right or your left? Probably your left, huh? Let's see, try it. It's just like, what comes natural. What comes naturally?
Starting point is 00:55:11 So if I'm up, I'm gonna do a cartwheel, I'm gonna go like this. Yeah. What's that? That's left. That's left, dude. What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:55:18 Dang it. I have no. idea if that relates to kicking, but yeah. It seems like it might. You make all of them. I'm gonna do heartwells into kicks. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:55:27 I'm gonna start practicing. Next thing you know, we'll be there. All right, thank you guys. Don't forget IHeart Radio Music Festival is coming up this weekend. So tomorrow night and Friday night,
Starting point is 00:55:34 it's going to be on Hulu at 10 Eastern, 9, Central, 8, Mountain, 7 Pacific. And so we'll be there and look for us on stage or backstage or all this stuff. But lunchbox says you got a note from our CEO saying to come hang out with us with him. Yeah, the CEO wants to have drinks with me and invited me, like, send an email saying,
Starting point is 00:55:51 hey, I'd love to have drinks with you after the show Friday night, come by my sweet, blah, blah, blah. What do you think he has in mind for you? I guess he's probably been listening to the show and kind of just wants to say, great job. And maybe, I mean, maybe he wants to offer me my own show. I don't know. Or take over this one?
Starting point is 00:56:07 No, no, no, because Bobby just signed a new contract. So I don't think that would be it. So I don't know. He must have big plans because I was like, dang. Does he email say, hey, lunchbox? Yeah. Can you pull it up? Yeah, hold on.
Starting point is 00:56:18 Let me grab it. He's got to log in his email. Yeah, I got a log in. It's like, take a minute. All right, Caps lock. It's funny, because recently he said that the CEO doesn't ever remember his name. Correct. No, no, no, I didn't say the CEO.
Starting point is 00:56:31 It's not. There's a different guy. We know who he's talking about it. There's a different guy. Does the CEO know your name, though? I don't know. Probably not. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Well, yeah, he does. He sent you an email. Oh, wait. He did send me an email. Hold on. Does he call your real name or to say, hey, lunchbox. Lunchbox. It says Deer Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:56:46 It says deer lunch. Yeah. Is it one of those auto fills? It's a dear lunchbox, good deal. Yeah, there's no way that's auto fill. Then go do it. I'm going to. Anybody else get a note from the CEO?
Starting point is 00:56:57 Yeah. So it's to our work email? Hey, hey, yeah, I got the same one. Oh, got it. Did you? Does you say, Dear Eddie? Yeah. Mine said Dear Eddie.
Starting point is 00:57:05 Okay, so where's the party? Mine said deer lunchbox. Amy, did you get one? Are you serious? I haven't logged in. Yeah, we all got that email. Okay. You work for the company
Starting point is 00:57:15 They invite you. To his room? But you should use that to your advantage. Like go have some FaceTime. Yeah. That's how you make connections. Correct. And stand out.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Wear like a suit with a different color. Like, you know, just, I'm lunchbox. Remember me. You can look. How about you just look good? Don't tell him wear a suit with a different color. Trust you think I'm going to listen to Eddie? You're going to stand out, man.
Starting point is 00:57:36 I'm not going to listen to Eddie for fashion advice. Does the CEO, does he know your name, Eddie? I don't think so. No? No chance. I met him a couple times. times, but no, I don't think he knows my name. You think he knows yours?
Starting point is 00:57:46 Yeah, I just saw him a couple weeks ago in Dallas and went up. He was like, oh, Amy, hey, we hugged. Oh, Amy, but did you say hi, I'm Amy? No. Oh, good. No. That's awesome. I'm going to test him this weekend.
Starting point is 00:57:56 Please do. I'll test our CEO and CFO. What's my name? That'd be the greatest. Instead of saying, what's my name, I'm just going to say, hey, how's it going, see if they call me about my name. I got a feeling they won't, unless they do have auto fill in their voice. Riddle me this.
Starting point is 00:58:13 What you all have 20 seconds to answer? Write it down. I will give you five riddles. How many do you get out of five within 20 seconds? The clock starts after I finish the riddle the second time, okay? Okay. Riddle number one, here we go. Take off my skin.
Starting point is 00:58:33 I won't cry, but you might. What am I? I'm in. Easy. Take off my skin. I won't cry, but you might. What am I? Riddle me this.
Starting point is 00:58:46 Three seconds. Lunch box, fruit. Eddie? Onion. Onion. Onion is correct. Correct. One point Eddie and Amy. Yeah. I guess it's called Apple Peel, not skin.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Riddle me this. Be skin. I have a spine, but no bones. What am I? In for the wind. I'm in. I'm in. Wow. I have a spine, but no bones. What am I? Eddie. Book. Lunchbox. Book. Amy.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Buck. Correct. Good job. Good job. Riddle me this. I'm served at a table. I'm small, white, and round. What am I? I'm served at a table. I'm small, white, and round. What am I?
Starting point is 00:59:48 I'm in. Riddle me this? Plate. I said plate. It's white. How do you know it's white? A white plate? It could be anything.
Starting point is 01:00:16 It's a ping pong ball. Dang, that was... Wow, that was real tricky. My head was in a restaurant. Got me there. Okay. Riddle me this? There are two left.
Starting point is 01:00:33 What animal can jump higher than a building? What animal can jump higher than a building? Riddle me this? Oh, you got me? I have no idea on this one. I don't have a guess. What animal? What animal can jump higher than a building?
Starting point is 01:00:56 Correct. Why are you yelling at me? It's a trick. What, it's a riddle? That's the whole point of it. It's not like a real animal, Amy. About a real animal? Five seconds.
Starting point is 01:01:14 Not my best performance. Lunchbox? Kangaroo. Amy? Buildings can't jump. Correct. Any animal because buildings can't jump. Yes, Eddie.
Starting point is 01:01:23 Oh. That's a bird. See, I was thinking, I had a struggle with any animal. What animal can jump higher than a building? Any animal. Buildings can't jump. I was thinking over a building. Amy.
Starting point is 01:01:33 Let's go. She's up by one. Okay. Only one left. Lunchbox only has one point, so he's just lame duck. Eddie, you can tie it. Come on. I am a seed that is a three-letter word.
Starting point is 01:01:46 Take two letters away and I still sound the same. What am I? I am a seed that is a three-letter word. Take two letters away and I still sound the same. What am I? A seed? A seed is... I am a seed that is a three-letter word.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Take two letters away and I still sound the same. What am I? Riddle me this. Three seconds. Punch box. P. Oh. That's it.
Starting point is 01:02:35 Shoot. That's it. Eddie? I too have P. Hey. Amy? I. That's a good guess.
Starting point is 01:02:45 My brain just didn't get there. So Amy and Eddie's sudden death. Come on! For the championship. Buzz in when you know it. Focus, focus. Here we go. Say your name to Buzz in. Here we go.
Starting point is 01:02:57 By the way, it's P, P-E-A, and you pull E and A away. So, P, got it. Here we go. I have cities, but no houses. Forests. Amy. Hmm. Go ahead?
Starting point is 01:03:11 Okay. She's falling. Like a map. The answer is map. What? I'm talking about. I have cities, but no houses, forest, but no trees, rivers, but no water. What am I a map? Amy is the winner.
Starting point is 01:03:22 For them, they're not talking for you, Amy. I think we should all support each other no matter what. I agree. But I understand some days we just are a little bitter. Do you want to riddle it? I don't really do that. You don't want to do it? You don't want to riddle me this?
Starting point is 01:03:47 Nice job. It's me uncomfortable. Yeah, all good. A win is a win. A win. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media.

All right, let's go over and do the news. Bobby's Big. Stories.
Starting point is 01:06:38 Thieves use a car to smash into a Lulu Lemon store. Boy, that Lulu stuff's good, though. Like, I get it. I wouldn't want to hurt a car, though. But, like, that Lulu stuff, it's good. They even have nice, like, dress shirts that don't feel dressy. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:53 Oh, wow. Yeah, they're, like, kind of stretchy, but they don't, it's legit. Caitlin's dad gets them too. They'll share. Well, it's not that we share. He's actually a little more muscular than I am. Wow. Yeah, he's a pretty buff dude to be 60.
Starting point is 01:07:09 And so, but he was like, yeah, we're a Lou Lemon. Everybody's giving me a hard time. I was like, screw him. It's awesome. It's a really good brand. But anyway, it's still not a reason to rob him. Okay, everybody just in case you're wondering. Or drive a car into it because you could kill somebody.
Starting point is 01:07:21 Exactly. A store security guard who requested to Renea remain anonymous that he was inside the Little Lemon store and boom, something happens. Big boom. Door came down. everybody starts jumping out of the car. Oh, man. They used it as like a, I would say almost like a Trojan horse,
Starting point is 01:07:36 but they used it to boom to get in. Yeah. The Trojan horse, they didn't know people were in it, but they jumped out, and they all were in hoodies and masks, and they ransacked the store, and they got in the back seat, and then got it. And they said, if you say anything, they were going to shoot you to the guy.
Starting point is 01:07:51 All in five minutes. They rammed a car in there. Wow. That's from KTVU. Is it worth a car to get some Lulu, though? Like, it's got to be an old crappy car. It's a stolen car. Or like one of lunchboxes.
Starting point is 01:08:00 But if you're going to steal a car, why I heard it, why not just keep stealing it? Why not sell it? Why not distribute it? No, no, because they know a stolen car is going to be on the lookout so they crash it. Oh, they have a license. Oh, it comes back. It's stolen. They ditch it when they get done with the robbery. I'd sell it. To Mexico. I don't know how you do that. Sell it to Mexico. I'd just sell it to Mexico. That's good. Some lost Beatles recordings could fetch up to $500,000.
Starting point is 01:08:20 A lot of these sales are happening now. All this memorabilia. It feels like it's at a peak right now. The big ticket item is a collection of never-before-heard recordings from the iconic groups of Beatles, band rehearsals at John Lennon's Kenwood home and even pieces of unreleased albums all on six tapes. It's expected to grab anywhere from $300,000 $500,000.
Starting point is 01:08:39 Guys, investment. TMZ. We couldn't buy Willie Nelson's do rag. This. That's true. A 33-year-old trespasser in California stabbed a 61-year-old guy in the back on Saturday, but the guy pulled the knife out of his own back and then stabbed him with it.
Starting point is 01:08:55 Whoa! And then used that knife to hold him until a copse got there. That's like a movie. That's Terminator, sir. That's Rambo, bro. Legit. That's Rambo, bro. They got 61.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Depending on where... He picked the wrong guy to stab. But depending on where a knife is put into your body, you sometimes are safer and leaving it there. Right. I hear you, but I don't think he weighed that. I think he needed to keep that guy from killing him. The homeowner's power went out at 9 a.m.
Starting point is 01:09:20 He walked outside, and it's not clear if the power was cut. Or if the power went out, or has a burglary gone wrong? Either way, they ended up fighting. And he got stabbed in the back. But then he pulled the knife out of his back and then took it right to the torso of the robber and then held him there until the cops got there. That is so cool. What's also crazy is neither suffered life-threatening injuries. Like this guy has to be a survivalist or ex-military or something.
Starting point is 01:09:44 Yeah. Is it Craig Morgan? Who is that? Yes. I feel like it's somewhere like that. That's from S-Fist. Like the San Franciscoist? S-F-S-S-D-M.
Starting point is 01:09:54 Rare dinosaur bones going up for auction. One of the most complete dinosaur skulls ever documented will hit the auction block next month. along with the rest of the 100,000, 50-year-old Camposaurus bones. I didn't learn about the Camposaurus. No, they didn't teach us that one. Such sales of dinosaur fossils are rare with only a small number taking place each year globally
Starting point is 01:10:13 as scientists raise concerns about fossils being whisked into private collections and away from public and researchers. At seven feet tall and 16 feet long, it's one of the most complete dinosaurs ever auctioned. It's expected to fetch 1.2 million. It's a controversial sale, but it's from Newser. And the person that found
Starting point is 01:10:29 it gets all the money. I'm sure it's more than one person that finds stuff like that, right? It's like a dig. I feel like someone's walking the woods and like, what is that? Wow. There's the head. I don't know. I would have, yeah, because you find her keeper. That's the rule of dinosaurs, right?
Starting point is 01:10:44 For sure. It's the official international rule. The best time of the day to work out, here you go. 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. We can't do that. Researchers at Franklin Pierce University of New Hampshire found the correlation between exercise and healthy weight loss was the strongest
Starting point is 01:10:59 early in the morning compared to the middle of the day or evening that is from the New York Post. A Massachusetts funeral home is going up for sale and the sign out front warns is probably haunted. How much? See, that's what you should do. Because anybody that's going to buy a funeral home is a freak anyway. We need freaks. We need freaks. Because funeral homes, they do a purpose.
Starting point is 01:11:17 They serve a purpose. But also, if you're going to serve that purpose, like I wouldn't serve that purpose. In no way. You got to kind of be a freak. And so they're going up for sale. It says it's haunted. Instead of the traditional company. soon or for sale messages.
Starting point is 01:11:31 They posted this and now people are heading them up. It's for $514,000. That's what the assessed value is. But I don't know if there's any bonus because of the ghosts. But right now... That'd be a bonus or a discount? Well, I don't know, if you're lying it because it's haunted.
Starting point is 01:11:47 Yeah, it's bonus. The assess value is $514,000. The listing, they think, is going to go up for almost $800,000. So there's, I guess, a $300,000 ghost bonus. I mean, you would think a funeral home would be haunted. I mean, that's where they're all, I mean, they all go there. Yeah, but if they're dead.
Starting point is 01:12:03 No, you don't die there. You're dead there. It's true. You're already dead when you get there. Your body's there. You probably have already escaped the prism of your. That's a good point. So this kid, well, 28 years old.
Starting point is 01:12:15 So it's not really a kid. But young adult Carter Osborne wanted to make some extra money. And so he advises high school seniors on their college application essays. And he gets, makes over $100,000 a year. That's awesome. Just advising them on that, yeah. You ever do that? He's advising?
Starting point is 01:12:28 or he's writing? No, he's not writing him. No. No, advising. Why do you say it like that? Sounds like a legal term. Yeah, he's saying that just keep it clear, but he's really right. He had met with a consultant before he applied to Stanford University where he got his undergraduate degree. And he's met with a consultant. The consultant helped him. And then he's like, well, I can do this, but I can help more and better. So he's helped 40 students. He's made $113,000 from just in last year.
Starting point is 01:12:54 Wasn't it consultants that like, you know, Becky? I don't. Used. Yeah, I think they're probably so hardcore about it now. You've got to kind of run by the rules. You've got to find a new scan. That one ain't scamming anymore. Well, good for him.
Starting point is 01:13:07 And then finally, the Federal Trade Commission is emailing over 37 million people that might be eligible for compensation if their kids bought gear in Fortnite. Tell me more. Epic Games is paying $520 million after the FTCs that the company was liable in the cases of parents whose kids bought virtual gear without adults' knowledge. Well, I wish this happened when I was calling 900 numbers when I was a kid. Right. Because I was like, I want to talk to Don Mattingly.
Starting point is 01:13:31 Is Wade Boggs there? George Brett and Frank Thomas. And I talked to a recording would play. And it was like $2.99 a minute. 99 since he's additional. Like I'm going to order to kill me. Oh, my God. Is that like skins?
Starting point is 01:13:43 Like the only trouble ever got into is Coleman. Yeah. Any of that stuff. Okay, we do that. So. You can go to this site and see if you're owed anything. Okay. Fortnite.
Starting point is 01:13:54 FTC.gov. Okay. And then the Iheart radio music festival. Tomorrow and Saturday night It'll be on Hulu First time which is pretty cool Watch live only on Hulu The I Heart Radio Music Festival

Starting point is 01:14:17 Hulu tomorrow night and Saturday night. 10, 9 Central. Those were Bobby's big. Stories. Bobby Bone Show. Story of the day. This story comes us from San Diego, California. A woman showed up to the jail, and she had a letter for one of the inmates.
Starting point is 01:14:36 Like, hey, I wrote a letter. Can you pass this along to the inmate? They're like, yeah, let me inspect it. And they pull it out, and they're like, man, this is awful hard. It feels like it's kind of, they hold it, and they like, ooh, it's kind of crispy. She had soaked it in meth, dried it, and was trying to sneak it into the jail. Yes. So if you soak something in meth, is it wet? until then it dries and then it's just hard,
Starting point is 01:14:59 and she just thought she could walk in with a brick hard envelope? Yeah, they looked at it and they're like, oh, and they, huh, that's kind of, and they did a little test. I guess the reason I ask is if you know how to do that, that, like, if you know to soak an envelope in something and to bring it into a prison that's been done before, maybe she didn't do it right. Yeah, maybe you're supposed to send it in the mail and not just walk in with it and, like, say, here, I have this for the inmate.
Starting point is 01:15:22 Or is she supposed to go, whatever you do, this is not meth, it's just an envelope. But it's crazy they also can do that. Imagine what they are sneaking in. Because I guess so, yeah, then it sticks to that and then once you get it, you dissolve it. Yeah, wow, wow. That's pretty smart. While you're having your toilet tea, you're also making,
Starting point is 01:15:40 you do your envelope meth. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day.
