Starting point is 00:02:12 All right, big show today. Morning's video. Morning. We're going to try to give away a trip on our first segment, which is pretty cool. We don't ever do it, but we're going to play Never Going to Get It. Someone may never get it, so we've got to start early. But we're going to give away a trip, hopefully, to our IHeart Country Festival in Austin, Texas. Everybody good, by the way?
Starting point is 00:02:27 Yeah, good, man, great. Today, big show, we're going to get away this trip in like a minute, hopefully. Also, later on this morning, it's Blast Day, where Lunchbox puts somebody on Blast. Oh, yeah. There it is. The clock's been running. Clock's been running. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Okay. Let's go now and let's do this. The Bobby Bones show. We got a big prize. We could possibly give away right now. And we have Heather on the phone. Heather, good morning. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Morning studio. Morning. So there's what we're going to do. If she wins, she will win round trip airfare to Austin, Texas, hotel and Austin. Tickets to our I-heart country festival. All that. Just by winning this game. Come on.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Oh. Round trip. hotel tickets to the show it's going to be an awesome show lady a al-deen mcbride brothers osborne i'm hosting it who cares about that let's just play the game this is heather from north dakota heather is north dakota like warm now still cold what what's a deal
Starting point is 00:03:21 uh it's it can't decide what to do today it's raining and snowing but later this week it'll be like 60 so that's warm for us i felt that now are you nervous because this is quite the prize yeah yeah i'm very nervous So we're going to play Never going to get it No you're not going to get it No you're not going to get it
Starting point is 00:03:43 No you're not going to get it So I'm going to ask the question It's a hard question All four of you guys come up with the answer She'll team up with one of you Okay Okay The question is
Starting point is 00:03:53 Until 1979 Every single one of these was female But now it's relatively even split What are they? until 1979. Every single one of these was female. But now it's a relatively even split. Every single one.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Every single one. Yeah. Mom. Huh. Set out of nine. I'll read it one more time. Until 1979, every single one of these was female. But now it's a relatively even split.
Starting point is 00:04:39 What are they? Let me know when you're in. I'm in. Morgan is in first. I'm in. Does not sound confident, but Eddie is now in. I am in for the win. What, guys?
Starting point is 00:04:54 How? We got to be in. Yeah, the game's like, we have to do it. Every single one of them was female. You have five seconds? Okay. Okay, so who feels over 50% positive? Me.
Starting point is 00:05:11 I do. Morgan and Lunchbox say they do. Yep. Amy? What percent does you feel? I don't know. 50, 50. 50 percent.
Starting point is 00:05:20 After all that, where you're like, guys, you're still 50 percent? I, well, when I'm under. If you lead her wrong, she loses a trip. So when I'm under pressure, I'm like, I came up with something. Okay, Eddie? I'm at 10 percent, but if I get it, dude, it's going to be a huge win. Okay, so, Heather, you get to pick here, and I'll show you each of them. This is Amy.
Starting point is 00:05:39 You can pick Amy. Look how confident she looks right here on camera. There she is. Thank you. It's lunchbox right here. That's how confident he looks. Yeah. Got it.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Here's Eddie. Oh, Walt Wong. Not confident. And here's Morgan. And here's her confidence level. There she is. Heather, what do you think here? Well,
Starting point is 00:05:59 Hey, Morgan was in really fast. I think I'm going to go Morgan. Okay, Morgan, you hold your answer. Oh, yeah. I'm going to go around the room and hear what you guys have to say that aren't Morgan. I feel like my answer is a little too sexist, though. This whole thing is kind of sexist. Yeah, it's all sexist because it's all female.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Amy, your answer is. is? A nurse. Okay. Lunchbox? There's no way there had to be a male nurse in 1979. Maybe. Power outlets. Power outlets. I sort of thought that. But then what? Male female. Are there outlets where the wiener comes out? Right. Yes. Well, that's not an outlet. That's what you plug in. Yeah. No, but. Hey, hey, I just. Okay. Eddie? Huh. Hostile workers. Okay. Until 1979. Every single one of these was female, but now it's a relatively even split. What are they? Okay. You three are all wrong. Oh, okay. Because I knew that.
Starting point is 00:06:46 That's what I thought. Morgan, do you have any of their answers? I did. You're a nurse. I had a nurse. Okay. Because they are in the documentaries. It's all nurses and they're all female.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Yep. She said 100%. I know. Hey, Scooby Steve. Now, does she get a chance to answer it? Yes, and if she's wrong, we go to the next person. Oh, my God. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Come on, Heather. Heather. Heather, until 1979, every single one of these was female. Oh, my God, I just got it. But now it's a relatively even split. are they? I'm flight attendants. That's it that's what it is. I just wrote it down.
Starting point is 00:07:20 That's it. That is it. It's not flight attendant. Oh my God. That was a great guess. Heather, just because you guessed it. Heather, I'm sorry you did not win the answer was hurricanes. They didn't get male names until Hurricane Bob in 1979. The National Weather Service thought only female names were appropriate because the stormers
Starting point is 00:07:36 were so predictable. Oh my gosh. What is wrong with people? Oh my God. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. That makes perfect sense. No, it doesn't. I mean, that adds up. That one's got a sexist, though. But yes.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Totally. Okay, so. Like meteorologist, men. She is so sad. Heather, I'm very sorry. You did not win. I appreciate you coming on with us. That fires me up.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Well, get fired up, baby. That is so wrong. Yeah, then you're going to turn into a hurricane. I have like backwards. I thought there was like all men before 79 and then some women. That's the dyslexic part of me. Well, that's how we started today. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. I need advice for some tension that's going on between my wife and I. My wife and I have been married for six years with two sons who are five and three. I'm an avid Christian man, lover of Easter and the holiday spirit.
Starting point is 00:08:33 I decided this would be the year I'd go all out. For the weeks leading up to Easter Sunday, my wife would sometimes ask me about what we were planning to do. I kept telling her, don't worry, got something planned. I wanted my big Easter plans to surprise her too, and you know what? She deserved to break. Skip to the morning of Easter Sunday. I was awake much earlier than the rest of the family. I set out my decorations.
Starting point is 00:08:55 I cook. I baked a cake. The whole shebang. My wife came in a living room to see all of the pastel decorations and balloons. I stopped her when she went to eat the kids' breakfast and told her, that's all for you. Apparently that was the wrong answer. So my wife's birthday fell on the same day as Easter Sunday this year, and I got too caught up and trying to do something nice for the kids in Easter to pay attention to the birthday date. It's been over a week
Starting point is 00:09:19 now, still tense. I'm afraid that this mistake is causing a rift in our marriage. I really need to get an outside opinion, but I'm not comfortable talking to anyone I know about this. What advice do you have signed? The Easter idiot. Okay, I'm going to, I have learned. This is something I have learned recently. I've known, and I kind of thought it was true, but I have learned. It's better to just go ahead and swallow your poop than ennibble. on it. If you mess up, and this is a mess up, you just go, I'm very sorry. That's all on me.
Starting point is 00:09:53 I'm going to make this up to you. You did nothing wrong. It really, because it really was stupid to him. But now, good intentions all the way around, no bad intentions. But that's a dumb, dumb move. You can't do that. You have to really go and lay it out there. You know and she knows, and she knows that you know, and swallow it.
Starting point is 00:10:12 don't nibble it. Because if you nibble it, you're going to be chewing on poop forever and it sucks. It doesn't taste good. It's going to be, get it over with. That's what you do. You go and you apologize, just go, this is it. I really messed up. I understand why you're mad.
Starting point is 00:10:26 My feelings will be, not even mad, why you're sad, disappointed. My feelings will be hurt too. And you try to move from it by improving the situation as best you can. Because you know what? She screws up to. Maybe not that bad. But she screws up too. and she will probably understand as long as you are honest, authentic about what really happened.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Yeah, I mean, I feel like an Easter did come a lot earlier this year. And if you were that focused on that, you probably are used to Easter being at least a week or two after her birthday. And then, bam, there it is at the end of March. And so you probably, if you were caught up in Easter, I could see how it could happen. And hopefully she'll appreciate what you did for Easter. And she'll hear you owning it. And then you'll make it up to her. And it'll be uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:11:09 It'll be good. Yeah. Can you make her breakfast for the rest of the month kind of thing? Oh, that's overdoing. There's no over or underdoing. That's not the point. The point is what can you or can't do? It's a you have to go, hey, I screwed up.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Yeah. I'm sorry, I really messed up. Eat the poop, like you said. Don't chew it. Don't just swallow it. You're going to be nibble in it forever. Don't, just get over with. Yeah, I see how it happened, though.
Starting point is 00:11:31 And hopefully she'll see it too. There you go. Thank you. What do we learn here? Eat poop. Look at the calendar. Don't nibble it. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Yes. All right. That's the mail about. We got your email and we're now to find the clothes. Bobby Mailbag. Yeah. I want to go over and talk to B in Pittsburgh. Hey, B.
Starting point is 00:11:51 Hello. How are you? I was just calling to welcome the Cleveland listeners and tell them at first. I thought when I switched over that you guys talked a lot, but now I enjoy it and play along with the games and I randomly yell out. It's the Bobby Bown show, everybody. Thank you. So if there are new listeners that are going,
Starting point is 00:12:10 what the heck is happening. You say that you've also felt that what the heck is happening. How long did it take you before you actually started to like the show and understand what we're about? About two weeks. Boy, that's a long time to get someone to just sit and grind through it, though. That is. And we talked a lot and then not anymore. We don't talk a lot anymore?
Starting point is 00:12:28 No, she got used to it. Oh, got it. Did she get used to it or she started liking it? There's a difference, you know? No, I listen to a sports show because I drive for my job. So I had the sports show on and then they switched people up and I didn't care for it. So I switched over to you guys and gave you a try, and now I listen every day. So of the two switches, you liked us slightly more than the other, and then now we're buds.
Starting point is 00:12:52 Is that what you're saying? Yes. Okay. Now you're the top. And so you would recommend to new listeners in Cleveland, they just get, Cleveland or the new cities we're going in? Did they just give us a shot? Give me a chance. I like that.
Starting point is 00:13:05 I appreciate that. B. your quality for calling and saying that, because I know you don't have a lot of time in your day so thanks for picking up the phone to letting us know all right keep up to good work all right thank you bye bye now we're not on there yet oh they made a change last minute not to not put us on but to do what i suggested a slow roll so it's not just us talking all the time but if we can save that call ray like clip it and then we'll play it again once we go on there and then we'll put like big voice around it and it'll be like the bobby bowl show it'll be like i just love the show and buy You know?
Starting point is 00:13:39 Yeah, like real caller. This is not a paid actor. We should say that. This is not a paid actor. And mostly, not because we're too good to do that. I'd like everybody to know, we're not too good to do that. We've never paid an actor to be on this show like other shows do. We are not above it.
Starting point is 00:13:54 We just don't have the money to do it. And at this point, we're just not going to do it even if we had the money. But I have to fund our prizes most of the time. So we're not going to pay actors to call and be like, we like the show, you know? So there you go. And what's the recommended if people are giving it a chance? Like how many days?
Starting point is 00:14:14 Two years. Two years. If you listen to two years straight, hang in there. Yeah, you'll start to like the show in case you're new. Okay, thank you. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:14:24 With producer Eddie. Yeah, home is something good. Lynn from Fort Worth, Texas. She's just retiring, man. She worked her whole life. And now she's like, I'm done working. But she's got to do something. So what did she do?
Starting point is 00:14:38 She met this woman named April. April. April was diagnosed with cancer, but she didn't have a car. So Lynn was like, you know what? I have a car. April, I will take you to your chemotherapy. I will take you to your radiation. She took her to hundreds of appointments. And while she was doing that, she met other people. She met a guy named Kevin, who was legally blind. He couldn't drive to work. So after she would drop off April, she would go pick up Kevin, take Kevin to work and do that. And now she is a guardian angel to a lot of people that need rides. That's good. She's an angel on earth. Yeah. That's a lot. Yeah, it's cool. Man, I'd like to do that.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Oh, my God. I'd like to retire first. Here we go. But you're not going to be able to because you've saved no money. I don't have a 401K. I would say not just rides to appointments, but I remember sitting in the waiting room with my parents with their cancer stuff and there's, you know, you've got the chemo and you have to wait for the IV and the radiation and all the things.
Starting point is 00:15:31 But some people are just sitting there alone. Yeah. So even if you have a ride, but just having someone there with you. Well, she may have dropped them off. I don't know. Oh, well. She did say she would sometimes multitask, but I mean, you know, it's okay. Yeah, but we understand your point too.
Starting point is 00:15:45 And also your point of one day you want to do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. That's all right. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Elder versus millennial.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Battle of the Generations, Tritia, lunchbox, and Swifty Lauren, oldest and youngest. Here we go. Up first, he's the captain of cringe. I don't think he was posse him because he did earlier. That today was clutch. I knew today because he said you learned something new, or, I don't know what you said, but... Starting point is 00:18:37 His last second answers. Yeah. He plays possum a lot, but I don't think the second one's possum, if I'm being honest. He found that the old-fashioned way. The Bieber one, I didn't play possum.
Starting point is 00:18:45 I was making that fever. Fever. I said. Lauren, are you ready? Yes. His opponent, she's our youngest producer, She's part of Taylor Nation and gave us all a pity wedding invitation.

Starting point is 00:23:29 Search the Cino Show. And listen now. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transplants. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our
Starting point is 00:24:09 relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
Starting point is 00:24:54 If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything, but at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. One of the questions we get asked the most in the mailbag, what's story behind? Bobby Lones and Lunchbox and either their weird names or their stupid names. So not only that, I have this whole story about stage names and why they are, what they are. Now, there's a lot of controversy with how Lunchbox got his name, but I will tell you that now I just punt to Lunchbox and let him tell his version. But Lunchbox, why are you called Lunchbox? In the third grade, I won a Superman lunchbox from Walmart for school, and my mom told me no.
Starting point is 00:26:00 And so I thought, oh, I'll just stick it under my shirt and take it. And so I walked around the whole store, and my mom let me do it. it and right as we're about to walk out the door she goes oh is there something under your shirt and i said no she goes are you sure and she goes knock knock knock and i was like mom i have no idea how that got there and so she made me go return it to the manager and then ever since then they made fun of me and now that i'm older i realize how little i was is a third grader and so how obvious it was like it was probably sticking out of the shirt like can i can i commit i'd like to commend you for something i thought he was going to say he was like four or five he's become he's become
Starting point is 00:26:36 Such a better storyteller. There are parts of that story that I think he just made up an improv right there. And I commend you and I'm not going to contradict anything you said, but I like it.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Thank you. Yeah. Like knock, knock, knock. That's never happened. Yeah, so she knocked on the lunchbox? Yeah. She goes, oh, what's that? That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:26:52 And he goes, I have no idea how we are in there. Mine is, I was 17 and I went to work. I begged for a job at a radio station and they hired me to clean and they never hired me to be on the air and they hired me to clean and switch out there.
Starting point is 00:27:09 Rick D's weekly top 40 on Sundays. And so before my very first shift, they fired somebody on the weekends and said, you're up. And I was like, okay. And I was excited, but they said, you cannot use your real name. They said, your name would be Bobby Z or Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:27:27 And I thought they were both stupid. And so I went Bobby Bones. It sounded more like a pirate or human or something. Yeah. So that was it. I tried to change it a couple times, but I was always connected to the last place. What should try to change it to?
Starting point is 00:27:39 My real name. It just always felt weird to be, or at least really strive to be authentic on air, but have like a stupid fake name. It is who I am now. I know, but in some people, they think, they're like, oh, wow, was your last name really bones? And then knock, knock them on bones?
Starting point is 00:27:55 How did that get there? How did they do in there? Post Malone, his stage name. Anybody have, anybody know? Yeah, yeah, yeah, Austin. So, yeah, well, yeah, that's a, His name's Austin. But why Post Malone?
Starting point is 00:28:08 He lives right next to the post office. He delivers the mail. When Austin Post was 14 years old, he needed a name for his mixtape. So he plugged his name into one of those random rap generators, his name generators. And Post Malone came out. So he's like, that's my name, Post Malone. That's funny. MC Hammer was born Stanley Kirk Burrell, got his nickname from his childhood job with the Oakland A's.
Starting point is 00:28:32 The A's owner at the time, Chuck Finley loved him because he was a great. bat boy. He danced in the parking lot and he earned the nickname Hammer because he looked like Hank Aaron. Oh, Hammer and Hank. Hammer and Hank. M.C. Hammer. Lady Gaga was born Stephanie Germanada. Lady Gaga adopted her stage name from a song by Queen. Don't say anything, Eddie. What's the name of the song, guys? Bohemian Rhapsody. No, no. Well, she'd be bohemian and Gaga then. Lady Gaga. Lady of the night. Lady Marmalade. Interesting. Do you know what? Is it Lady Godiva?
Starting point is 00:29:07 No, it's like Lady Gaga. Oh. Radio Gaga. Radio. No. I bet if you heard it, you would know it. So she chose to pay homage to the band. So Radio Gagas is her name.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Elton John. Reginald Dwight. What? Reginald Dwight. Did you hear? Reginald Dwight! His name's not Elton? Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:29:26 Oh. So he combined the names of two of his bandmates from Bluesology. A saxophonist, Elton Dean, and a singer, Long John Baldry. That's far-fetched. Elton, John. Snoop Dog. Calvin Brodus.
Starting point is 00:29:42 Yeah, yeah. Snoopy. Yeah, Snoopy. He looked like the cartoon. When he's a kid. Really? Yeah. Huh. Yeah. Whopi Goldberg? Whoopi cushion. She had a tendency to fart.
Starting point is 00:29:55 What? No way. Is that real? That's like a lunchbox story. The actor who was born Karen Johnson said that a tendency to break wind led to a number of friends to call her whoopee. That's funny. Brie Larson from Avengers Captain Marvel She was born
Starting point is 00:30:12 Breanne D. Selenirs I may mess that up So Bree is obviously for Brianne But the last name Larsonie Well first of all It's just hard to say her name Oh it's like a
Starting point is 00:30:24 Complicated? What is it? I just said D Solner No one would ever get it right And so her American girl doll was named Kristen Larson So she went with the name of her American girl dog
Starting point is 00:30:33 That's cool Vend Diesel It's not diesel? Mark Sinclair Vincent adopted the stage name Vin Diesel because his friends called him Venn for Vincent and then Diesel was tough and strong.
Starting point is 00:30:46 So Vincent, Mark Sinclair Vincent, Vin, and he was like, I want to be tough. I'll be Vin Diesel. Bruno Mars, Mars sounded bold and energetic and the wrestler Bruno San Martino for back in the day. So what's his name?
Starting point is 00:31:00 Peter Gene Hernandez. Oh, yeah, that hits different. Or maybe. Peter MGM if he doesn't pay up. Oh, right. They just own his middle name. I'll do one more. L.L. Cool J. What does that stand for?
Starting point is 00:31:12 Ladies love. Yep. Cool James. Correct. So. Did you not know Cool James? No, I didn't. He just stopped. I was like.
Starting point is 00:31:21 So James Todd Smith. And so that was his name. And they started calling themselves LL Cool J and Playboy Mikey D in hopes that it would help girls think, oh, they're cool. They're in a band. and he said it was just wishful thinking.
Starting point is 00:31:36 It was like calling myself Mr. Awesome. It worked. So LL Cool J was his name. So those are the stories behind lunchbox, knock, knock, knock, myself, Radio Goo Goo, Radio Gaga. You guys don't know that song? No, I never heard of my love. What about Amy? What's her story?
Starting point is 00:31:51 That's her name. I was born this way. Oh, cool. Maybe she's born with it. Maybe it's Amy Brown. This woman won $20,000 in the lottery, and she's super pumped about it, as I would be. I mean, heck, lunchbox plays all the time.
Starting point is 00:32:05 The most you've ever won is. $250 on a scratch-off, break the bank. It was silver. And he's played forever. Scuba has won more than that on a scratch-off. He hasn't played near as long as you. Yeah, no, I don't like that. So she went 20, she's pumped, and she goes in to claim it,
Starting point is 00:32:20 and they're like, no, you read this wrong. It's $20 million. Wow! Nice. It's so cool. See, heart attack. $20 million. That's when you have to be honest.
Starting point is 00:32:31 When you're the worker, you have to be thinking, okay, how can I pull this? 20 million. Wait, what are you talking about? The worker, like, lies and... Yeah, it gets her 20,000. The worker doesn't give her the money, though, like at the gas station. She thinks he cashes it at the register. Like, hey, I'll write you a check for that 20,000, and then I'll take that.
Starting point is 00:32:46 20 million. Oh, my gosh. That's wild. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So half of people that work out, go to the gym, or whatever, they admit to not washing things like sports bras or compression shorts after one workout. Like, they'll wear it two times in a row. Well, I love.
Starting point is 00:33:06 would think that if you don't have time to wash it and you have to make a decision of, am I going to work out twice in it, or am I going to not work out because it's not washed? You work out twice. I guess it depends on how much you're actually sweating. Or if you only have one pair. Well, that part, true. That's what I'm saying. It sounds like everybody has seven pair of compression shorts, but it's gross.
Starting point is 00:33:28 But I'm saying you have to make a decision. That's like underwear, dude. If you're working out and you sweat in the underwear, like, you can't wear that again. What about a soccer jersey? But it's your sweat. Yeah. And mate, I hear you, I'm just saying if you have to make the decision to do it two days in a row or not do it because it's not clean, you do it two days ago in the dirty. I don't, I just feel like I don't want to risk the rash or whatever or something.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Wear underwear under. Well, yeah, I mean, sports brawl, stuff like that. I don't have one of those. I can't really work. I don't either. No, yeah. But have you, do you ever do that? Do you double workout in your workout clothes?
Starting point is 00:33:59 No. Shorts? No, because we work out at the house and I got plenty of shorts. Just from doing too much access. Every school in the country. That's true. Yeah. Okay, so if you want your relationship to last,
Starting point is 00:34:10 never say these things to your partner. I got like 20 things not to say. I like to hear what you have to say. You ready? Okay. If you love me, you would... Being funny, though, that's okay. I would do that.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Like, I'm thirsty. If you love me, you would go give me some juice. You never say that in a serious conversation. No, but I would say that in a funny conversation. You're just like your mother or father. Her mom's awesome, though. Okay, but... Like, I told her she just like her mom the other day
Starting point is 00:34:33 because she was like in cutting funny. Her mom. And I was like, man, you were just like your mom. Like, you go hard. So here's the thing about that. I feel like we is the own kid. Like, we can say stuff about our family. But then when somebody else, like your significant other says something about your family in a way, you're like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:34:53 You start defending them. And they're like, wait a second. I'm just saying what you said. It's like, we're allowed to say it, but you're not. It's a weird thing, but she's so right. Yeah. I guess. You can't relate.
Starting point is 00:35:02 No. I watch Kailen's. Dad bench press 205 three times. He's 63 when he was at the house. And I was like, I want to be just like your dad. The opposite. Yeah. But you don't, yeah, there's not anything, gosh, that happened in my marriage where I would get compared to my mom and in ways where I was annoyed by my mom too. But then I would be like, I didn't.
Starting point is 00:35:21 I understand that why you would be upset. But no, I don't relate yet. Dot, dot, dot yet. Yeah, yeah. Go ahead. Okay. You always or you never. All the time.
Starting point is 00:35:29 Okay, but you got to stop that. Okay. Because it's not true. She doesn't always do. Right. No, but she does. But again, I don't think anybody actually thinks when you're saying you always, means you always do it.
Starting point is 00:35:39 It means you do it a lot of the time so much so that, because I always do a lot of stupid things, but every once in a while I won't. But when she says I always do stuff, I'm like, eh. I know, but with just the definitive words, we've got to like. I hear you, but I don't take that as I really always do it. I take it as in, I do it enough that it's annoying. Okay. And it's not really that strong to say, like, you sometimes don't do you.
Starting point is 00:35:59 63% of the time, you don't take the trash out. These are things that, like, if you don't want things. to escalate and don't say this stuff. Like, why can't you be more like? Never. Unless it's, I say this, why can't you be more like me? Jesus. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Wait, what? Why can't you be more like me? Why? And enjoy things I enjoy. Like video games. Oh, okay. It's your fault. I'm fine.
Starting point is 00:36:22 It's your fault. You're overreacting. Go all time. It's never good. Why is that not good? But what if they are? They are. They're making a,
Starting point is 00:36:30 What if I am? A lot of nothing. Do you imagine? Do you say, do you say, I can realize right now I'm overreacting? She can say you're overreacting and I can go like, so what? Well, no. I'd be like, at least I'm acting. Most of the shut down.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Well, the final thing here is whatever. Yeah. Oh, whatever's the worst. No, I don't think so. Well, you know what, whatever. My worst is when I walk off because I'm like, I can't do this. That's like whatever. Oh, if it's got a walk off included, then yes.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Yes. Okay, what else? All right, I have the top richest country stars ever. Oh, yeah. Dolly Parton. She's at number one with $650 million. Toby Keith. Garth Brooks.
Starting point is 00:37:08 Toby Keith's at four, $370 million. Garth Brooks is a tie at two with Shania Twain, $400 million. So is it, George. The two would be two and three, though, if it's a tie, right? Yeah. So we're just missing one. George. George straight?
Starting point is 00:37:22 The king. That's right. He's number five with $300 million. That's the easiest feud list ever. We know those people. Yeah, y'all nailed it. I made me. That's my file.
Starting point is 00:37:31 That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. There's this guy. He's at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and there's a recreation area, and he's kind of walking around, looking, taking in the sights when he gets a little too close to the edge. And he falls down the cliff side, 60 feet.
Starting point is 00:37:57 And he's like, I can't go any farther, and he just starts holding on. Holding on for dear life. And people call 911. Hey, man, someone fell over the cliff. He's hanging on. He's holding on to something. A bush, a branch. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:09 You need to get here fast. And the police say, we'll send the helicopter. They lower a rope. Guy comes down, straps him in, and pulls him to safety. The fact that he was able to hold on that long, how do you do that? Well, I'm hoping he had something he could put his feet into. And it wasn't all fingers and armpower. Like just lay there maybe.
Starting point is 00:38:31 Yeah. Yeah. Like, that sucks. Because you don't know if anyone's going to see you or come and get you. but if you're just hanging from your arms, eventually, you're just going to lose any strength you have in your hands, fingers, forearms. Right.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Unless you have something can also put your feet into as well. So you're hoping that was the case. I stumbled upon a YouTube video where there's like a competition in another country where they hang from bridges, and it's three dudes. And the last one to like fall wins the prize. It's like hands on a Harley.
Starting point is 00:38:59 You're hanging up into your life. Except hanging on a bridge for life. What do you get? It was money. It was like, I don't know, $50,000 or something? Hanging on, it sounds as hard. Yeah, I mean, they hung on for about a minute,
Starting point is 00:39:11 but after that minute mark, they're like, oh, they start dropping. Well, there's that thing they do downtown here in other cities where there's a bar you hold on to, and they're like, if you can hold on for a minute, you win the money, 100 bucks. Ray wanted to start one of those downtown. But what happens is they're also turning it at the same time.
Starting point is 00:39:25 Or they grease it a little bit. But you... Do they grease it? Because I've grabbed it before. I didn't feel slick. If grease, like, came out of tiny pores, that would be cool. Ray, what happened in very? Vegas. You guys tried one. I didn't do the Vegas. I did the Nashville one.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Yeah, it's moving, and it's also very well greased. What if you shut up with gloves on? Would they let you do that? I haven't seen the fine print of the rules on that thing, but people, it's always like big dudes. Or like, I can hold on for more than a minute, and they're the first ones to go. A great story. Glad they saved him. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. We have 90 seconds to figure out as many of these corny jokes as possible.
Starting point is 00:40:04 It's Thursday. It's the investigative morning corny with Amy. Are you ready over there? Ready. Our record is six in 90 seconds. Here we go. Action. The morning corny. What do astronomers like to drink?
Starting point is 00:40:22 Tea. Star. Star tea. Milky Way. Milky. Milky. Milky. Milk. Milk. Shake. Milk. Milk. Milk. Sky. Sky milk. Star. What do they do? Gas.
Starting point is 00:40:34 milkshakes. Milky shake. Milky shake. Ask it again. What do astronomers like to drink? I don't know anything about astronomers. Telescope. No.
Starting point is 00:40:44 It's not milk. Galaxy. Coke. Tea. Oh. Big dipper. Little dipper. Tiki.
Starting point is 00:40:54 Comet. Star tea. Asteroid drinks. Star. Sun tea. Gravity. Gravity. What?
Starting point is 00:41:02 What? What do astronomers? Oh, it's not gravity? Like you're drinking? That's awesome, dude. That would be maybe like What are astronomers, What does Isaac Newton like to drink?
Starting point is 00:41:12 Light beer, light year beer. Light beer. Do astronomers like to drink? Nights with the straw. Y'all have been very close. Milky Way, Milky Way's close? Nope. Astronomers.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Star. Teamer. Star. Constellations. Starry nights. Star beer. Big definitely. Dippy.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Star drinks. Milky dippers. Star. Star. Star. Star. Star. Drink.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Chuck beer. Tea beer. Star beer. Star beer. Bar tear. I had no idea. Star. Tequila.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Guys. No, no. Guys. Us. We have three minds here working as hard as we can. Yeah, I know. But don't. Isn't your easiest joke that you have?
Starting point is 00:41:57 Time. Oh, my God. Starbucks. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh my gosh. We are the dumbest. A lunchbox even said starbursts
Starting point is 00:42:09 and I was like, what? Oh my gosh. Hey, Amy, that's not on you. That's on us. It's not on you. I'm aware. I thought that that was. We should have the dumb, dumb,
Starting point is 00:42:17 ding dong bell or something. Like the first word at Eddie's mouth when I said it was star. Yeah, but I didn't catch on to that. Yeah, I'm just on a Starbucks. And y'all, the raging idiots have a song called Starbust. Filling up my cup.
Starting point is 00:42:30 All right, Ray, close it. Or stupid. That was the morning corny. Fine by me. I've never been more ashamed. That's terrible, man. We really failed. Coming up, I think it could be because everybody's a little tight.
Starting point is 00:42:47 Because we're 10 minutes away from lunchbox putting somebody on blast. Oh, tight, like puckered up. That's my problem. Huh? That's not worried about it. Maybe we're all nervous about that because we're looking at 10 minutes away from lunchbox putting everybody or somebody or some people on blast. That's so dumb. That's coming up.
Starting point is 00:43:03 I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him. I said, hi, dad. And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen, and she says, I have some cookies and milk. This is this badass convict. Right. Just finished five years. I'm going to have cookies and milk at my mom.

We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month And the podcast Eating While Broke Is Bringing Real Conversations about money, Growth, and Building Your Future This month hear from top streamer Zoh Spencer and venture capitalist
Starting point is 00:45:18 Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre As they share their journeys From starting out to leveling up If I'm outside with my parents And they're seeing all these people come up to me For pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously It's like 100%
Starting point is 00:45:31 They believe everything But at first it was just like You gotta go get a real job There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes.
Starting point is 00:45:48 Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to eating while broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. All right. This is your bit. You've built it up for three days, lunchbox. You just said you're going to put someone. on blast if they didn't confess. And the deal you made was if they confessed an email,
Starting point is 00:46:09 you would not say who it was. You would just say what the crime was. Correct. Did anyone confess? I'd like to congratulate on the person. They have not confessed. So they will get blasted on air. They will get blasted right now.
Starting point is 00:46:21 In front of all of America. Going on blast. So I don't even know what to ask because I don't know who it is. Do you just want to do it? How do you want to set it up? What do you want to? I'm just going to tell you ahead of time. Everybody.
Starting point is 00:46:35 that is listening, everybody in this room, that is not, it is not you. Wait, what? That is not, it's not you. Is it not a bus in the room? All right, let's go. You will be disgusted, disturbed, and dumbfounded.
Starting point is 00:46:47 I don't understand what you're saying. I'm saying, if it's not you. Oh, it's not me. I said, if it's not you, you will be triple D. Oh my God, why do we get back? You'll be disgusted, disturbed.
Starting point is 00:46:58 No, no, you're saying. We're confused. You said it's nobody in the room. No, I said, if it's not you, you will agree with me. You will be disgusted, dumbfounded and disturbed and confused.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Okay. It's the triple D. I'm confused. It's the triple D. Okay, so. Eliminate. Can it be anybody? It can be anyone from that
Starting point is 00:47:18 glass room or in this room. Can I ask questions and you answer them? Go ahead. Is it Amy? Okay, hold. What? Hold on. Why don't you eliminate somebody?
Starting point is 00:47:33 Eliminate one person. Bobby's been eliminated. Okay. No one, Bobby, guys. Come on, Mr. Clean over there. Okay. He ain't gonna do anything wrong. Okay. Bobby is safe.
Starting point is 00:47:46 Eliminate somebody else. Mike D. has ever done anything wrong in his life? He's Mr. Quiet. He's not doing anything wrong. Okay. Is it somebody, like, do you want to eliminate like a glass room or main room or do you want to keep going like you are? Hey, whatever you want to do, man? Or I can just go right to it. Abby. Oh.
Starting point is 00:48:07 Let's just go right to it. Abby. You're safe. That's not going right to it. He gave us the rope and dope. Okay. Yeah. So who's out? Who's out?
Starting point is 00:48:19 Me, Mike, and Abby are not getting blasted. Okay, go ahead. Who else is not getting blasted? The man with the buttons, Ray? That dude. Squeaky clean. Little strange, but clean. A little strange.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Scooba keeps us out of trouble. He doesn't get in trouble. Scover, you're free. Get free! So it's either going to be Amy, Eddie, or Morgan. Okay. What the crap. When we learn this about ourselves,
Starting point is 00:48:49 we're not going to be disgusted, deserved, and dumbfounded. That's glass. You might be. That's glass. You might be, or you just be like, ah, it's normal. Eliminate another one, Lush, box. But, Morgan, you feel awful guilty over there.
Starting point is 00:49:04 I don't know what's happening. So I'll tell you, Amy's safe. Okay. What? That feels good. I don't like this. Eddie or Morrigan? It's got to me.
Starting point is 00:49:15 It's got to me. What? He's dumbfounded, dead or? Disgusted. Disgusted. Disgusted. And disturbed. And dazed.
Starting point is 00:49:25 Disappointed. Eddie, it's okay. Lunchbox. And we have to figure out who it is so you can do whatever, however you want to claim it. Yeah. I just want to ask, Eddie, you want me to just go for it or Morgan. You do what you want. Yes.
Starting point is 00:49:36 Just go. Eddie Morgan. Eddie Morgan. Yeah, what's up? I just want you to know. Eddie's on blast Eddie is on blast That's who's on blast
Starting point is 00:49:45 We didn't wait All these days I got a question for you Eddie What's up Does your mom work here? No Does your wife work here? I don't think so
Starting point is 00:49:53 Then what is your problem Why do you think you are better Than everyone else That works in this building? I don't know Why? Because this dude right here Has no respect
Starting point is 00:50:04 For this building Or the people in this building Okay This dude Who brings hard oil eggs. I don't know what you're doing it. Because I don't know what's about to happen. Who brings hard-boiled eggs? Eddie does. Eddie.
Starting point is 00:50:16 So what's he do? He says, oh, man, I'm above everybody else. He's walking to his car the other day. He has his hard-boiled eggs in his right hand. He goes, crack, crack, crack on the wall and just starts throwing the shells in the parking garage like, hey, no, I don't throw them in the trash can. I'm a disgusting human.
Starting point is 00:50:32 The blast? I feel like those are no, the biodegradable. No, they're in a parking garage. I mean, there's yoke and stuff all There's no yoke. They were boiled eggs. Look, I am sorry. But no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:50:44 Oh, my gosh. This is what we wasted all these days out? No, no. So if I just throw my banana peel in the parking garage, it's okay because it bio degrade? I don't know that it'll bio degrade. No, it doesn't. And it doesn't blow away because it's in a parking garage. It needs the elements.
Starting point is 00:50:58 I know your boyfriend saying something here, but. No, no, no. It's absolutely disgusting. And disappointing is what this is. So I can just go throw an apple in the parking garage. It's no big deal. Hey, what are the three Ds? What are the three Ds?
Starting point is 00:51:10 Disgusted. Disappointed. Disciplined and dumbfounded. There's four D's now. You are disappointed. I'm disappointed. Egg shells are biodegradable. In a parking garage? So I can just throw it. I agree. So from now on, I can just start throwing, like, anything that's biodegradable, I can just throw it in the parking garage. I guess it's an egg shell. He's cracking it on the wall.
Starting point is 00:51:32 And he's just tossing the shells out. I'm like, who cares? I don't work here. I don't have to clean it up. Bones, I got a twist of this. Okay. This is very interesting. Interesting because he doesn't park upstairs. He parks downstairs. So that means somebody must have tipped him off to this. And I'm thinking his girlfriend did this.
Starting point is 00:51:52 Amy? That's a team ever. Did you tip lunchbox off on this? This is so ridiculous. Why are you looking away from me when I'm looking right at you? I'm looking right at you. Did you tip out of lunchbox off on any shelves? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:52:05 This is ridiculous. I wouldn't tip this off. No, no. It goes back to Eddie when we were at Eyehart. when we were in the elevator and he had trash. No, no, no. He had his trash. He just threw it on the elevator.
Starting point is 00:52:14 He's like, I'm not picking that up. I might have been drunk. So why would the cop arrest him? Littering. That's not, that's not incredible. It doesn't matter. That's what he said. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:52:26 I guess if it were more than eggshells, I guess even a banana would be more than little crimson of it. No, no, it was the whole eggshell. It ain't like it's a little small thing. And where are the eggshells now? I don't know. Exactly. Probably biodegradated into earth.
Starting point is 00:52:38 They're gone already. Oh, my gosh. Gosh, can birds? So if I go to Eddie's house, I can just throw eggshells in the front yard, no big deal? Sure. Well, the front yard, yeah, they'll buy a big grades. Or they'll blow away. But in a parking garage, it's pretty disgusting.
Starting point is 00:52:50 I bet the custodial staff had to clean that up because Eddie's too good at throwing the trash. Ray, can ask you a question? Yo. How do you feel about this bit? Is it a clickbait or was it actually substance? No, no, I think Eddie needs to do it a doctor highway. Hold on. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:53:04 The cop, when he ended up interviewing the cop and the cops say that he could go to jail for this, That was the twist that really built this bit up And it just didn't live up to that It is gross that Eddie did this But we did tease it for four days I can agree that Eddie don't throw stuff in the garage A half a shell Egg shell?
Starting point is 00:53:22 Like I agree It's like minor minor Just don't just don't throw stuff in the garage It's not your house I mean but Bobby you wouldn't do that would you? No exactly Because I have respect Thank you
Starting point is 00:53:31 You can worry about others Eddie's like I'm better than you But it's an egg shell It's an egg shell I don't even want to dedicate any more time to this bit Oh my goodness. Well, so wait, now is he going to be lunchwalk can be punished because it was bad? On a scale from 1 through 10, how much trust do you have him now to carry a bit like this?
Starting point is 00:53:48 A 10? Well, he did a good job building it up. No, no, no. He said if it's not. I need to think about this. I mean, if Eddie doesn't think it's a big deal, have him go stay on the side of the highway and pick up trash. See how much, you know. But the problem is not trash.
Starting point is 00:53:59 It is. It's an egg, which is natural. Eddie, don't do it though. Hold on. If we all walked in the parking garage today and threw eggshells out there as we're walking to our car. Guess what? It's pretty disgusting. But we all wouldn't. Disgusting? So who's the only one that would do it? How is that disgusting? Scooby, Steve.
Starting point is 00:54:15 Is he busy? Is he wrapped up with something? Has he moved on? Because he also feels like this is a waste of time? I moved on 10 minutes ago. I think I moved on Monday. Scuba, how disgusting? It's the dumbest thing ever do. I get it. It is kind of stupid and disgusting. Yeah, I agree with that. It is disrespectful. But to spend it like three or four days talking about this. What else we got going on?
Starting point is 00:54:30 A lot, actually. Exactly. I'll think about this. I'll take this to the core of my brain. Blast off. Morgan. like to say that the thing that I thought it was is kind of a bigger deal. Can you text it or send it to me? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:44 Oh, wait, wait. So you can't wait a say? Morgan may put it off, put everybody on blast. Get a countdown. Wow. I mean, it's pretty gross. It's a human being, like human to human. No, we get what you're saying. That's pretty bad. And the cops said the world will be off better
Starting point is 00:54:58 without me? I guess he doesn't like litterers. I feel like lunchbox maybe told the police officer you were doing something. Yeah, like I murdered someone. Well, Morgan's has to do a theft. Uh-oh. What? Here?
Starting point is 00:55:11 Yeah. Hey. Who? That's the real one. Start the count down. That's why I thought it was like the actual legit cop situation. Morgan's is legit theft. No, but mine was legit too, guys.
Starting point is 00:55:20 You're just Humpty Dumpty on the most minor scale ever. No, really? It's an egg. He fell and he's right. I'm sorry to all of our listeners. I'm going to start throwing stuff in the garage and see how we feel. Can Morgan just say what it is? No.
Starting point is 00:55:30 We got to wait five days for this now. I'm not even sure that it's going to be on the year. I need to handle some business. Oh, it could be legal. Yeah, yeah. I got to get a cop. interview him. We got a big trip.
Starting point is 00:55:41 We're going to give away. Hopefully, if Carol wins the game, she wins round trip airfare to Austin, Texas. Two and from. We don't take her and leave her. No, we bring her back too. That's right. She gets hotel.
Starting point is 00:55:52 Pay for that. Tickets to the show. The show is Saturday, May 4th on Austin, Jelly Roll, Old Dominion, Ashley McBride, so many other ones. Carol, where do you live? I live in Manta, Utah. A big Utah fan here.
Starting point is 00:56:04 All right, welcome, Carol. So, we're going to be a lot. going to play this game here. It's called Never Gonna Get It. It's hard to get it. Never, never going to get it. No, you're not going to get it. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:17 Never, never, never, never going to get it. All right, here's the question, Carol. And what will happen is you'll pick the member of the show that you think we'll get it right, okay? Okay. The average person has to deal with this annoyance 96 times per year. What is it? So, we call one poll, do a lot of polling. Turns out the average person.
Starting point is 00:56:38 person has to deal with this annoyance 96 times per year. What is it? I'm in. Hard. Oh, man. Okay, I'm in. Wow, I'm in.
Starting point is 00:57:00 Did you just call it annoyance or minor annoyance? What do you say there? According to a survey by one poll, the average person has to deal with this annoyance 96 times per year. Okay. Yeah, I got it. Eddie's in, Amy's in.
Starting point is 00:57:16 Morgan's in. I'm in for the win. Okay, lunchbox is now in. Now, Carol, you get to pick one of these fine fellas. Or ladies, which one would you like to team up with? Oh, I think I'm going to go with Eddie. Yes. And to be fair, I've only gotten this one time.
Starting point is 00:57:31 I'm sorry, you're not going to the concert. But I feel really good about this one. You think you've only gotten it right. I'm never going to get it. Like one time. So let's go around the room first except for Eddie. Amy, what do you have? Oh, I have get gas.
Starting point is 00:57:41 Like car gas? Or like, like, I got it. You only have to get gas 96 times. That's about right. Yeah, once. Right now that I do the math. Thank you almost twice a week. Let's go to Morgan. Morgan, what you have?
Starting point is 00:57:52 I think of something that's really annoying that happens to me pretty often, and I don't ask for it, is the spam callers. I get spam calls. I get like 96 a day. Lunchbox? The annoying co-worker. You. The annoying co-worker. You're a 365.
Starting point is 00:58:07 You're first to deal with this annoyance 96 times per year, okay? You're all wrong. Eddie, do you have any of their answers? Nope. Okay. If you get it right, Carol, when's the trip? And my sound bones is so annoyed. And we have to deal with it a lot.
Starting point is 00:58:24 According to a survey, the average person has to deal with this annoyance 96 times per year. What is it? Eddie. Give me the smoke alarm chirp. What? The battery's low. 96 times a year. What?
Starting point is 00:58:36 That's the dumbest answer ever. And I don't judge answers usually. That was the absolute stupidest answer of all times. I mean, really, that went the award for like six. Yours goes off 96 times in one year. Like, I want to charge you for the trip because you missed it so bad. Think about it. If you don't change the battery in one day, it'll go off all day.
Starting point is 00:58:53 You're not changing. Okay. Wow. Carol, Carol, you just got. You knew when he said that he missed it, right? Yeah, I figured. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:03 Yeah, it was a really bad one. Oh, my gosh. I'm going to give you a chance, Carol, because if you get it right, you win the trip. According to a survey, the average person has to deal with this annoyance 96 times per year. What is it? I am going to. to stay having a headache. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:59:24 Is that it? It's close? No. It's really close. It's pretty close. That's a really good guess. It's not it. It's having a bad hair day.
Starting point is 00:59:35 She was in the right hair. Yeah, that's why he was so off. I was wondering why Eddie was so strong coming in with it. Oh, wow. Okay. Carol, I'm so sorry. You didn't, man. He's getting bad.
Starting point is 00:59:44 Thank you for playing. That's getting sad. That's okay. Thank you so much. Sorry, Carol. I usually call her up after an offer to her. A fire a trip. I will.
Starting point is 00:59:53 I'll flyer there myself. All right. Thank you guys for being here. We will get to these calls. One of them wants to comment on lunchboxes is blast off. Yeah. I'll get to that. There are other very positive or very negative about it.
Starting point is 01:00:11 It's very, but it's very, it's very, okay? First, the news. Bobby's B. Stories. Have you yelled at your kid today? That's the question. Not yet. No, not yet.
Starting point is 01:00:21 Not today. Early? Research finds that most parents yell at their children daily. Researchers found that more than 90% of parents use yelling, screaming, or shouting to correct the behavior of a child when they act up. Unfortunately, they say yelling doesn't work. Even more shocking, there's an 80% chance your child will repeat the same behavior within the same day. It's best to talk calmly and then listen to them. That's from healthline.com.
Starting point is 01:00:45 Amy, you go first? Well, I was sort of joking about the yelling. I used to be more of a yeller, but I definitely like. learned that that does not work and it's not efficient. It does nothing but just roll everybody up and I'm more calm. Okay, if you're calm and you speak and in a gathered tone, does it work? Yeah, I think just more firm and you're calm but you're firm. Like there's an assertiveness happening and I get a better response that way.
Starting point is 01:01:16 Now, if I'm in the car and I'm waiting, I will honk and I'll be like, hurry and I'll yell. like get in the car. That's mostly when I'm yelling. Picking them up after a bank robbery or what? No, but like I'm trying to leave that house. Oh, God. Oh, got it. Well, you didn't set up what the context was. Oh, oh, oh, that's the most frustrating part is when we're trying to live in there.
Starting point is 01:01:34 And I have to yell in that way. But I probably dropped the yelling in 2021. Well, good for you. And maybe they're getting older, too, where Eddie has four boys. Yeah, the youngest is five. So yelling is a big part of what we do. Like, because, you know, like Amy said, like, if you're trying to get them all in the car, Like, this is how it goes.
Starting point is 01:01:51 I'll give you a scenario. All right, boys, we're leaving in two minutes. Let's go. Get your stuff. All right, boys. We've got a minute. Let's go. We go.
Starting point is 01:01:59 All right, guys, in the car. And they're still upstairs. Guy, in the car now. And they all say, you hear all the footsts and they start running down. But literally, they will not move unless I say, in the car now. I want to ask a question as not a parent. What? It would seem to me not just with kids, but with anybody.
Starting point is 01:02:18 If you really don't enforce. when your voice is low. Guys get in the car, they don't respect that because you never made them respect that. I don't even think they hear it, honestly. Well, if their hearing's bad, that's a whole different story. I don't even think they hear that tone. But they know when you yell, that means you're serious. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:35 But what if you were to be serious on a lower or more controlled tone? Do you think they would respond to that better? No. You don't? Mm-hmm. I really, I've tried it all, bones. And literally, the only time they move is when I yell. That's the only time they move their feet.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Because they've been conditioned only have to move because when you're not yelling, they know you're not that serious. Okay, how do I reverse that thing? I know I know I know I know I down that. I just know it's not even a kid thing. It's like a human nature thing. Yeah. Right? We do things.
Starting point is 01:03:01 We set standards. There are precedents. There are, uh, if I say, hey, I need you here at 4.30 a.m. And you don't get here at 4.30 a.m. and I get upset. Then you know if I say it at all. But if the only time I ever got upset, it's like, I need you a 4. 4.30 a.m. Or if I were to go, I need you at 4.30 a.m.
Starting point is 01:03:23 Maybe you wouldn't respect that as much because you know I only mean it when I'm yelling. It's not just a kid thing, but it could be with four boys. That's a whole different dynamic. Yeah, man. Like, they're teaming up on you. It's chaos. They can beat you up. They can literally jump you back.
Starting point is 01:03:35 They can. If they want to, they can. Toddler swallows her mom's diamond wedding ring. Oh, we got to wait for it. No, had to have it surgically removed. The girl's mom couldn't find the ring. Didn't think too much of it until her daughter started vomiting. It just kept vomiting.
Starting point is 01:03:52 Like for hours and hours, so it wasn't like a bug. The x-ray revealed that both the location of the ring and the cause for the toddler's illness was exactly where it was in the abdomen. That's why they had to go in. It wasn't going to come out. Doctors decided to surgically remove it. They also thought the diamond could actually cut
Starting point is 01:04:10 her organs as it was going through. What a story. From the daily mail. That's crazy. Okay. Thank you. Scuba, did you text me the word echo? No, I was texting a contact to the text.
Starting point is 01:04:28 Oh, it's that echo. Okay, so I thought maybe Scooba was saying do an echo bit. You know how you do the echo, like, effect on your phone? Oh, where it repeats it? Yeah. Scooby-Bee. It must have hit echo, and he came across as Echo. You see if it says, Scoo Steve Echo?
Starting point is 01:04:42 Uh-huh. And I'm like, either our mics are broke again or he wants me to do a bit, bit, bit, bit, bit. Yeah, I want the bit. Or echo, echo, echo, yeah. And he never like pitch his ideas mid-segment. Well, I was like watching you unpack that in your brain real time. And I was like, what's happening? Why is he pausing?
Starting point is 01:04:57 What's happening? Well, I was like, why would it do we want to echo? I thought. So, and our stuff's broken all the time. Our stuff's broken all the time. Yeah. Our stuff's broken all the time. I still like going.
Starting point is 01:05:06 Oh. A money savvy teen who bought stocks is 14 now. Or it started at 14, but now as 16 or 17, but now it has 16 or 17 bought like a Tesla and then offers her tips on investing. Like, she made all her own money. She started at 14. She's now 17. Holly, why didn't I learn this stuff? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:05:24 First of all, a bit different because now if you're generally interested, you can go find it yourself. You can get on YouTube or TikTok. Back when you were a kid, it was just a printing press. And like people, get your papers. And if it wasn't in the paper from those kids and those like, you know, those little short pants. But yeah, so if you're really interested as a kid now, that's what's great about the information age. Is that information is everywhere. But there's also a lot of disinformation.
Starting point is 01:05:47 but she used in a good way. And now with her 400,000 followers, she basically does, here's how to make money. And here's how if you don't even have money, you just have a little something, you can start investing it. And she did that.
Starting point is 01:06:00 At 14 years old, she started it. And now, again, she drives a Tesla that she bought for herself. That's so cool. You can do it now. Yeah, we do. We do. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:10 I have a meeting next week where I'm paying another adult to tell me. Like, that's what I have to do. I'm like, how can I teach myself? What do you mean you're paying another adult to tell you? Well, I have a meeting with like someone that's going to help me. A meeting or like a like a tutor session. A meeting would feel like you're both going on equal footing to figure something out.
Starting point is 01:06:29 Like a class? Yeah, no, I'm definitely meeting to learn. So I guess I'm getting tutored in a way. It's mostly because in this season of, you know, being single now and taking care of myself. I mean, I feel like when I was married, Ben would do a lot of this sort of stuff. to help make sure we're set up for our future. Sure. That was his role.
Starting point is 01:06:50 I honestly didn't realize like how much that entailed. I don't understand. You're learning to do stocks? You're doing it with lunchbox. I can't. I can teach you. I don't listen to him to do anything.
Starting point is 01:07:00 Whatever he says to do the opposite. You're already investing with lunchbox. But she's learning how to do general. Yeah, there's a lot of like a lot of things involved in, you know, I'm sure that she's got it all squared away. It seems to me if she's like buying herself a car at a young age. Like she does more than just invest. Like she's got it all figured out.
Starting point is 01:07:16 rates and interest and taxes and so all of that. Yeah, lunchbox doesn't know that stuff. No, I do. I know interest rates are high right now. Okay. And that's why people aren't buying houses. Got it. Okay, moving on. From Yahoo. See, I'm smart. An alligator crawls into a Florida home and settles in front of the refrigerator. Oh my gosh. But it's in Florida, so I feel like that would be like a cat coming into my house. It doesn't matter. No, no. No, I hear you, but if Florida, I just expect alligators to be trying to get in everywhere. Like we have bobcats here. You wouldn't want a bobcat in your kitchen?
Starting point is 01:07:46 No, I'm talking about a bobcat. When I was in Austin, I had a possum coming just standing right by my leg in my kitchen. Those are just cute. No, they're not. There's nothing like about them. They're cute. They're cute, man. It looks are relative.
Starting point is 01:08:02 Yeah, relatively scary when they go. But I also had a white dog around the same size of the possum. I thought it was my dog. And I felt the possum's tail slapped me on the leg and I was like, what are? Oh, my God! And then it looked at me and went, oh my God. A rare instance of a large alligator Forcing its way into a home
Starting point is 01:08:20 And guys, I want to say this It's a massive alligator It is huge It's not like when some people go I got an alligator and it's like two feet Yeah, yeah It is a monster The 7 foot 11 inch alligator
Starting point is 01:08:33 Oh my gosh Was captured and transferred to an alligator farm Thank goodness I hate it when they kill animals Because this alligator is obviously looking for food Or it's hurt or something Or maybe you're supposed to watch Netflix right Who knows? I was going to say companionship.
Starting point is 01:08:48 Yeah. Hang out with the alligator. Humans. But it's a massive one. And the guy walked home and the alligator walked in the home and the alligator was there. I had a friend. I've told you this story a little bit. But for those to have it, he went down into a part of America, Louisiana.
Starting point is 01:09:05 We'll say that. He lived in Texas, a friend of mine in Texas. Kind of known for being an athlete, not a tennis player. I just want to say that. Not a tennis player. and went over to Louisiana and found a baby alligator and put in his truck drove it back to Texas
Starting point is 01:09:22 then realized it was illegal and how was he going to raise an alligator so in Texas he put the alligator into like a little pond and many nights went by and someone found the alligator and it was like quadruple the size and they were like how did this alligator get here and everybody was like do not say a word like it grew they grew quick
Starting point is 01:09:44 Still there? I think they hopefully put it in an alligator farm. Okay. And not heaven, you know? An Arizona woman and wife of U.S. Air Force employee has admitted to a poisoning her husband by repeatedly pouring a liquid, he said, was bleach into the coffee machine. So instead of just like the cup, sometimes we've seen those where they like, no, yeah, yeah, she was doing it into the coffee machine. Melody Feliciano Johnson was arrested in August in charge of the tempting to murder Roeby Johnson. She had filed for divorce.
Starting point is 01:10:12 They still lived together. He noticed his coffee tasted odd. But again, she wasn't even there to give him the coffee. So why would you think? How would you think you're being poisoned if you watch it drip out? Correct. That's the... It was next level thinking.
Starting point is 01:10:26 No, it's really smart. Like, we never checked that water that's in the tank. We don't check that water. And I'm not a coffee, guys. I'm not familiar. But I just know if I went to the machine and got it myself, I wouldn't think that something in the machine was poisoning me purposefully. But that's tough.
Starting point is 01:10:39 So Roby, the dude, put a series of hidden cameras inside the home. And ABC News got the footage from them. It shows her apparently, allegedly, putting the stuff into the machine. Sentencing is May 10th. I feel like I would take one sip of the coffee and be like, well, I need to. But what if it was sweet and good? Right. Like I know of dogs, sadly, where I grew up, like if antifreeze was on the ground, they loved to lick the antifreeze.
Starting point is 01:11:07 Because the whole thing don't leave anterfreeze out because animals will lick it because it tastes sweet. So I don't know what this bleachy stuff tastes like, but what if? you're like, it's pretty good. It's a good flavor. Yeah, like strawberry and mocha, what is it? What did she get from this? Like, she didn't want money, or is this just like? If they're already getting divorced.
Starting point is 01:11:24 Just get a divorce, man. Yeah, no, no, they're already getting divorced. Maybe it could have been financial. Sorry, the same, did you say he's in the Air Force? Yeah, life insurance. But she'd get his, she'd get. But she still get life insurance if they're not divorced yet. If it's not married.
Starting point is 01:11:36 Yeah. You never know who you're sleeping next to you guys. You think you know. He's all the idea. Well, he knew something was that. He got me, but cameras. I think he'd be pretty well. He got the nanny can running quickly.
Starting point is 01:11:46 For the first time in March Madness History, more people watch the women's final than the men's, about four million more. And it's all because of Caitlin Clark. The first, in the past 15 years, the first, like, household, even if you don't follow sports at all, you know who Caitlin Clark is.
Starting point is 01:12:05 So they didn't even win the championship. South Carolina didn't win undefeated. South Carolina was awesome. Pretty awesome. I didn't know how they've been that good. You're right. Like they've only lost what, like two or three games in four seasons? And Don Staley's awesome and amazing.
Starting point is 01:12:18 But, I mean, it was Caitlin Clark that created this. I will watch Arkansas women's basketball because I know coach neighbors and I obviously follow. But I have an appointment to watch a team that I care nothing about ever in college basketball until Katelyn Clark. And probably three times just because she just grabs it and shoots it from wherever. It's like what I do, but I never make it. Never made one time. That's a big difference. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:40 So congratulations to one, South Carolina. I mean, this happened last week. But two, Kaelin Clark is, I would stay in college one another year and make even more money. She's not. She's going to the WMBA. I'd like to go to college by basketball and make a lot of money, though.
Starting point is 01:12:55 Yeah. Even now I would. Can you still go back or are you done? I have. Oh, I could. Because you never played. Yeah, okay. And Arkansas has nobody on their team right now.
Starting point is 01:13:05 I know. No players. They all left. Coach Cal came in. You know, no players. Dude, that would be amazing if you were temporarily on the team. If I was a walk on. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:13 What is the, what makes you, when do you, why do you, why do you still have the eligibility? He never played. Yeah, I never played. I don't know the rules. Yeah, you only have a certain amount of eligibility, four years eligibility. Okay. So I can play for four years. So all of us, Amy, since we never played college sports, we could go back and play.
Starting point is 01:13:30 But there are adult men. Sometimes you'll see like in Division 2 or the smaller Division 1, like guys who are like 35 go back and be a kicker. Or like a Chris Winky who played baseball go back at 20. 27, 28, and be a college quarterback. Gotcha. You can go back at any time. That makes sense. As long as you have no other prior college.
Starting point is 01:13:50 Well, it's not like a rest. Playtime. Or preschool. Because like if you have no priors and there's no playtime, wouldn't that be awesome to be like a walk-on? Yes, man. Like I would go live and I would just do the show from Fayetteville if I could be a walk-on on the Arkansas team.
Starting point is 01:14:09 Why don't you try to do it? Have you seen me? You've been training. Look at me. Look at me. I see you. Yeah. But you have a good chance right now for the basketball team because there's no one on the roster.
Starting point is 01:14:17 No, no, no, no. They literally have nobody on the roster. I know. And then when they do fill it in, they kick you out. No, but I can't practice. I want to be like part of the team. I'm going to practice every day. Is there a limit that they can have on the team?
Starting point is 01:14:28 Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay. WrestleMania. Peacock's most stream entertainment event. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:34 Cody Rhodes ended the story. The Rock was the big final boss. He came back as a bad guy. He's the greatest bad guy ever. I don't know that storyline, but okay. You should. That and Canel Clark, biggest stories in sports
Starting point is 01:14:46 Coach Cowell. Disney will release Toy Story 5 June 19th, 2026. Let me write that down. It's just so far. It's just so far. There'll probably be another eclipse, the world ends.
Starting point is 01:14:59 What did you want from us there? I wanted to judge a reaction of a movie that came out so long from now without setting it up in any way because mostly I have thoughts but that one I just sat quietly and nobody reacted and that's how I felt. If someone tells me anything is coming out
Starting point is 01:15:13 in two and a half years, it's almost like artists to put concert tickets out for sale 10 months in advance. It's like, really? Yeah, I don't know what I'm doing tomorrow. We even get a beer again. A man accidentally buys two identical
Starting point is 01:15:27 Powerball tickets and wins $2 million. That's a good one for him, bad one for lunchbox. Yeah, it's like the guy that is actually only sold me seven of the same ticket and we won nothing. He sold you seven of the same? Same ticket.
Starting point is 01:15:39 Did you tell him like, hey. I said I want seven for the mega millions. and he did seven of the exact same line. It'd be cool if you don't want. That would have been cool, and I couldn't leave it because I was like, what if? What if? All right. Those were Bobby's B.
Starting point is 01:15:55 Stories. I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him. I said, hi, dad. And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen. She says, I have some cookies and milk. This is a badass convict man. Right. Just finished five years.
Starting point is 01:16:16 I'm going to have cookies and milk at all. Yeah. On the senior show podcast, each episode invites you into a raw, unfiltered conversations about recovery, resilience, and redemption. On a recent episode, I sit down with actor, cultural icon, Danny Trail, talk about addiction, transformation, and the power of second chances. The entire season two is now available to binge, featuring powerful conversations with the guests like Tiffany Addish, Johnny Knoxville, and more.
Starting point is 01:16:44 I'm an alcoholic. And without this trouble, I'm going to die. Open your free I-Heart radio app. Search the Cito Show. And listen now. I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum Pierre.
Starting point is 01:17:18 as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they see all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything. But at first, it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to community striving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail.
Starting point is 01:17:41 And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money for. flowing through them. Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. You can have opinions.
Starting point is 01:18:00 You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes. other plans.
Starting point is 01:18:44 Listen to a slight change of plans on the I-Heart Radio app. Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. United Airlines flights forced to divert had to land early because a dog pooped in first class and they tried to clean it up, but the smell lingered and lingered and lingered. So they landed the plane. I bet you everybody on that plane would have just rather held their nose and got to where they were going to go. Yeah. Don't you think?
Starting point is 01:19:08 For sure. And how bad could it have smelled? I kind of was bad. I didn't know like that. I mean, I can get bad. When I start thinking about it? Reddor said they were on the plane and they just, kept cleaning it, but they could not get the smell, so they landed it.
Starting point is 01:19:24 I don't know. I get it. That's annoying. However, I would rather land and be annoyed with the smell than be annoyed with having to land early and wait another X amount of hours, you know? Air lines, man, they ain't what they used to be. Used to you put on a suit and tie. Smoke in there. We never, that really wasn't us either. On a phone line, it is Ted in Virginia. Ted, what's up, buddy? Hey, good morning, studio. Morning.
Starting point is 01:19:53 So I just want to say how ridiculous it was to hear what lunchbox had to put Eddie on blast for. Who rated three days for that? That is crazy. I agree. I heard it. And I had to battle, does lunchbox really think this is significant? Or is lunchbox doing clickbait? Click bit, what you called clickbids?
Starting point is 01:20:16 And so I don't know where I stand because I could tell him. he was a little irritated at Eddie in real life, but was he just trying to get a segment on the air? And we stretched it out for three days. Ted, your official stance on this is, was it a click bit or was lunchbox really affected by it? It's basically, well, it was a click bit, but he was affected by it. He was. That's the dichotomy of lunchbox. I know.
Starting point is 01:20:44 I'm torn. Was he just trying to get on the air? Like, was he just trying to get on the air for three days? and like build a segment or was he really concerned about it and he didn't want it to happen again you know i was thinking about this um you know you've traveled with lunchbox and if if he sees litter he'll pick it up he'll pick it up and he'll wait to send to your boyfriend no here she is here she is again no i'm asking you too you you've noticed this over the years like he'll like if there's a plastic fork and there's not in his car trash can nearby he'll put it in his bag so that he can recycle it
Starting point is 01:21:18 That's fair. To be fair, this wasn't trash, though. No, it wasn't trash. I think his concern was that it'll bio degrade, but not in the parking garage. It's on the podcast. Please go listen to it. I mean, Bobby, if Eddie did that in your driveway, I would care.
Starting point is 01:21:31 I literally wouldn't care at all. He wouldn't care. It wouldn't have been there. What if ants come? Exactly. To a eggshell? Guys, go here. Go listen on the podcast.
Starting point is 01:21:39 I can't do it again because I'm just so confused. I'm confused in how I feel about it. I need the night. I need the night. Ted, thank you for bringing that up. I really appreciate it. Can I say my personal, I think that it should happen? Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:21:52 I think you should go ahead and spin the wheel of punishment. So you vote, lunchbox gets punished. Fair enough. I appreciate that. Ted, you have a great day. Lunchbox, what do you want to say to Ted? Why would Eddie not get punished for trashing our parking garage? I mean, I don't understand how I'm getting punished.
Starting point is 01:22:07 I don't know. Ted, I hope you have a terrible day. There you go. Where is it at? I was like kick rocks, Ted. All right, there you go. I want to make sure that this certain person in the room sent me the right message, and they didn't write don't when they meant to say do.
Starting point is 01:22:24 So this person said, I have major spill the tea, and they said they don't want to be anonymous. And I want to make sure that the person says means don't. Does the person mean they don't want to be, they want us to be public about it? Yes? Okay. Oh, it's Morgan.
Starting point is 01:22:42 Like, what? Well, sometimes like autocorrect gets you, and I didn't want to outer. if she meant to say, I do want to be anonymous. So she said I do. Yeah, so we're going to get to that in a second. But first, this is going to be a two segmenter and one. Because I got two things to get to.
Starting point is 01:22:56 First off, Lunchbox, Facebook flag. You got flagged on Facebook? I cannot understand it. Yes, I set up all the, like a page for the palette, and I called it the Bobby Bone Show palette. So we bought this palette, lunchbox said, here's what we should do. We all pulled our money. We put it like $80 each.
Starting point is 01:23:14 He went to bought this palette. We didn't know what was in it. and then we broke it down and we were going to sell it basically individually and make money according to him. However, we've had this thing for months. It's taken up a whole room. He has done nothing to sell it. Wrong. I've done so much to sell it.
Starting point is 01:23:26 It is impossible to sell. And so I did this whole thing, did this Facebook page, Bobby Bone Show palette, blah, blah, blah. Ten minutes later, flagged by Facebook. Why? Why is it flagged? I don't know. Because they probably didn't know you were affiliated with the Bobby Bone Show and you can't just day. Boney Show palettes if you were some random person, right?
Starting point is 01:23:49 Maybe. That's a theory. I don't know. I don't know why. I mean, why can't you just go to Facebook marketplace and sell this stuff individually? Because you have to have a, that's what I was trying to. I was trying to set it up where I could do a Facebook marketplace. I try, hit up Morgan and she says we're not allowed to use Facebook marketplace on our Facebook page. Oh, he's being interrupted.
Starting point is 01:24:08 Spill the team. It's like Stone Cold's coming out. Okay. Sorry, lunchbox. Morgan, you're up. Yeah. So first of all, Lunchbox is not the one who put this page together. his wife did.
Starting point is 01:24:16 Oh, they. And I got an email from her detailing how she put it together and all of these things that happened. So he did not do it. And there is reasons why it got shut down. And what are the reasons? Well, hold on. I don't want to.
Starting point is 01:24:30 Nope, the headlines is the headline. His wife is doing it. His wife is doing it. Like, she has details of how she did it. Like, I have a full-blown email from her. Why is she doing it? I don't know. I have no idea.
Starting point is 01:24:41 Did she complain about her having to do it? Or was she just reaching out for help because- She was reaching out for help from me? Oh, my gosh. I'm like, so lunchbox put you up to this? Why are you involved now? Go ahead. Now you can talk.
Starting point is 01:24:53 Yeah, so why? Tell me why we can't do it. No, no, no, no, no. Your wife is doing it. You were saying you were doing it, but it turns out that's not the truth. Technology-wise, I don't know how to do that. But you just said you were doing it. I mean, it's a group effort.
Starting point is 01:25:04 She's part of me. Oh, yeah. When you're married, you're one. Is that right? She doesn't work for the show. No, they don't have the same big accounts. Right. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:11 She's not going to see. Right. But she's trying to help me because she knows that you guys are annoying and don't want to do a garage sale, which would have been the easiest option. So she's trying to help me. And nothing is working. Everything is getting flied, getting shut down. Can't do this.
Starting point is 01:25:24 Morgan's saying legally we can't do it on the Bobby Bones Show page. I don't know why. Everybody wants to make it hard. Scuba, when are we thrown the stuff away? A 20 seconds. 11 days? 11 days. It'll be gone.
Starting point is 01:25:35 So Morgan, explain why can't we use the show page? Because legally, our Facebook page is set up to I-heart radio and it goes to, that business. All of the money that has ever made on our page goes to IHeartRadio. And so if you try and sell anything on there, it all goes to Iheart radio. No, no. They can just Venmo me. We just make a purse on our page. That's not how taxes work. Then they have to send
Starting point is 01:25:54 stuff to your paychecks and then it has to get split up differently and it causes a whole kind of issue. And also I would say this is so late in the game. This wasn't like his thought when he got the power. No, my thought was we would do a garage sale and you guys... No, your thought was we get a Sonic and they give us half of their... And the guy
Starting point is 01:26:10 at Sonic was like, no. Wrong. Guys, wrong all right. Wrong. My first thing was garage sale here. Then do it. We don't own this building anymore. We can't do it here.
Starting point is 01:26:22 Okay, then let's set it up in a field and tell our listeners it's on... Then do that. You're the project manager. I don't know. You can't go on a random field because somebody probably owns that field. Like a city park? You can't sell stuff. You can't just set up in a city park without a permit.
Starting point is 01:26:38 Just do it at your house, man. No. 11 days and we just throw it all the way. No. We lost everything. Why do we do this? Look, it wasn't the best investment. We just need to wash our hands with it.
Starting point is 01:26:55 You haven't found. I know I haven't found a way because everywhere I go, they say, I blocked. Oh, there's a broke there. You like beg us. Can we break? Can we do breaks? Like you do on sport. And you said no.
Starting point is 01:27:06 So I'm like, well, okay. Every idea I go out. Why don't you come up with a plan and just do it and come back and surprise us all and be like, look at all this money I made, let me pass it out. Then we'd be like, wow, you did that. We'll invest more with you for future things. Correct. That's how it works.
Starting point is 01:27:17 Lunchbox should read that business book obstacle is the way. Oh, boy. I wouldn't even say it's a business book. Oh, yeah, it could be a life book, but I mean, it's very, it has a lot of business. That is a lot of it. That is very, it's very, I mean, stoicism is what that book is. Okay. I consider myself a bit of a stoic.
Starting point is 01:27:33 You know what that is lunch? No, you don't either. I don't either. I don't either. That's what I'm saying. Like, Seneca. Oh, Seneca. I know a girl named Seneca.
Starting point is 01:27:42 No. Seneca Wallace. Regardless. The whole thing about it doesn't matter. I'm not going to do it with him. We could explain to him the obstacles the way. Just like quickly, just that if you run into something, it's like, oh, okay, go the next route. And that's going to be the next thing for you.
Starting point is 01:27:57 Yeah, I've gone about six routes. And every route is no, no, no, no, no. So you can just get mad and give up. You've just come to us and be like, I want to do this. And we're like, well, you can't do that. Then you get mad. Well, yes, because you guys have not given any effort to as a business. We gave you money.
Starting point is 01:28:09 That's what investors do. We never signed on to do the work. We gave you money. Right. But everything I come up with, you're like, no. So I'm like, well. No, we're not going to be involved with something illegal. Doing breaks is illegal?
Starting point is 01:28:20 You can't gamble online. We're not gambling. How are you going to set up a TikTok shop? No, no. On our Bobby Bone Show Instagram, we just go live and say, hey, Vimmo me $10 and there's five people in it for this item. Then why don't you live on your Instagram and go for it? Do it?
Starting point is 01:28:37 Do you understand? We have 11 days scoven. We're throwing it all away. Why can't we do it on the show one? Why can't we do it on yours? We're throwing it all the way. We never agreed to be the sellers. We said we'll invest.
Starting point is 01:28:47 Oh my gosh. And he said he would sell it. We're investors. Bad investment. See, you guys are trying to put it on me, but you don't want to. You have to do the work. Yes. I am trying, but no one will cooperate with me.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Why can't I use the show account? Tell me. We already told you. And what Venmo is going to go to? My Venmo. Okay. So we trust that. Your account, you're a Venmo.
Starting point is 01:29:06 Because the Bobby Bone Show Instagram has 845,000 followers, a lot more than my personal. one radio lunchbox. So why would we not use the ones with more customers? So now here's the thing. So we're not going to do his account. But the perfect thing for him to have done, be smart, is to do it on his account,
Starting point is 01:29:20 get all the followers and come with it. That's what I would have got 200,000 followers. He didn't want to do that. Like, that would have been where the value was, but now we've got to move away from that. You want to do it in my account? See, that would have been how to create the value there. But okay, well, 11 days.
Starting point is 01:29:35 If it's not gone, we're gone. Okay, it's good, we're throwing all the way. Yeah, I'm done with that, yeah. Okay, cool. All right, well, you can drop the song, right? We don't deserve a song. Oh, my God. Dead end, man.
Starting point is 01:29:45 We can't afford a song. We can't afford to play a song anymore because we're broke. Spend a lot of money on this bull crap. All right. Frustrating, man. 11 days. All right, thank you. Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:29:58 Story of the day. This story comes up to us from Nashville, Tennessee. A 26-year-old man was excited. His divorce was final. Let me go out and celebrate. So he went downtown, stood on the street corner, pulled out his gun and ba-ba-ba-ba-ba! Shot some shots in the air.
Starting point is 01:30:18 In town. It doesn't matter if it's our town. It does feel a little more personal. It somebody would go and just shoot in the air. Because, you know, a lot of people don't know this. But what goes up must come down. My dad did that one, like Fourth of July. I got a shotgun and started to him like, okay, dad, I don't think that's a good idea.
Starting point is 01:30:34 He's like, yep, you're right. Couldn't do this anymore. He shoots in, everybody's like, oh crap, they run inside. Why do they used to do it all the time? Like I'm watching that manhunt show, Lincoln. Because it's pop-op. It's not even about, it's just like a celebratory, large sound. Yeah, it's a noise.
Starting point is 01:30:48 But that bullet's going to come down. I get that. I mean, it used to just be so common. And no one's, like, shocked when it's happening. Science goddess. That's true, Bones. Like, you watch those old Western movies? Those cowboys are like, ta-da-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta.
Starting point is 01:30:59 Two things happen, though. They're usually in places where there's not a lot of population. What are the odds it's going to fall to hit one person in like a pasture? Not taking that chance. I hear you. In a city, though, it's crazy. But like you see in the Middle East, they drive around, shooting stuff in the air all the time.
Starting point is 01:31:13 But also the population isn't as dense. And also, not as much science I hear. I think that's an idiot. Go ahead. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. You're a good man for finally coming to this conclusion. Me?
Starting point is 01:31:26 Yeah. Yeah, I mean, dude. It's hard to apologize. I hate apologizing, but I have to apologize for this one because I made a big deal about something, and it was stupid. Go ahead. The Eclipse. I talked about it for months about how awesome this eclipse is going to be.
Starting point is 01:31:38 You're just now coming to this conclusion Three days later I talked about it like months before people Even saw it coming I think it was probably really cool In certain places Yes, people in Texas said it was really cool They saw full totality
Starting point is 01:31:54 I guess it's what it's called when it's completely covered Oh show you your totality Hey! You want to see totality They said it got completely dark Crickets came out And not where we were But that happened here a few years ago Yeah
Starting point is 01:32:06 Close to like 90% or something and yeah, lights came on, crickets came out. What stunk for me was, and trust me, I do not want to talk about the eclipse anymore. But we're done. And I didn't plan to talk about it today because it happened 30, 72, whatever it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess I finally cooled down. Good for you for admitting that.
Starting point is 01:32:24 We were in the air. And I thought we had scheduled our flight to be later because the University of Arkansas had sent their plane to pick us up because I went to teach for a couple days on campus. And so I moved the flight back thinking, we'll watch the eclipse. but I don't know, the eclipse was like late to a concert or something. It didn't show up. It looked like a regular, like, overcast day. We never saw anything.
Starting point is 01:32:46 We were up in the sky. I thought we got front row seats. Nothing. It never did anything up there. We had to be in the path. Yeah. No, but you could still see part of an eclipse all over the country. Up there, it's not like you were closer to the...
Starting point is 01:32:57 I was closer to the sun. I mean, not that much closer. But I was closer. And there was no sliver. There was nothing. You act like you were in space, man. Kind of. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:33:06 You were 30,000. That was heaven, much less space. I mean, 30,000 feet's a long way to be closer. I just thought since we'd be up there, we'd be above the clouds. We'd see. It's stupid. I don't even talk about the eclipse anymore. I'm done.
Starting point is 01:33:19 Okay, I'd like to apologize for making it such a big deal because that's not that fun. But it was a big deal for some people. I saw some pictures. Yeah. Anybody burning their eyes? I didn't. I wasn't even any eclipse. My sister, she works at a hospital.
Starting point is 01:33:31 She said that everyone went outside to watch the eclipse, and then somebody was like, hey, we got to go back in. There are a bunch of patients in there. funny they're like oh yeah we're working funny there are still tickets left I guess new tickets they just put out so ticketmaster.com
Starting point is 01:33:45 in Austin it is going to be in it's going to be the greatest show Jelly Roll Lady A Riley Green Jason Aldeen Old Dominion Old Dominion
Starting point is 01:33:55 it really is going to be Ashley McBride it's going to be awesome just if you get around Texas and you're like man the eclipse blue come to this I think it's funny
Starting point is 01:34:07 it took two days for Eddie to realize the eclipse blue. That's just stupid, man. It's a waste of time. Thank you guys. Have a great day. Who's on tomorrow? Blanco Brown's on tomorrow. We got the dance party tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:34:19 We got a good Friday show. We'll see you then. Bye. Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Schunker. A cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans.
