Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed human. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, the Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfilled conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. So let's get to it. Listen to The Clifford Show on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed. I will be his last target.
Starting point is 00:00:51 He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves. We always say that trust your girlfriends. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe, on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ago Vodam. My next guest, it's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever.
Starting point is 00:01:21 He goes, just give it a shot. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Listen to thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We're here. Welcome to Thursday show. Morning, studio. Morning. Let's go around the room. He and his wife were trying no parenting Sunday, but we don't think they'll do it for the entire month of May. I tried.
Starting point is 00:02:13 And there he is, Eddie, everybody. Guys, I love sunflower seeds, especially this dill pickle flavor one. Like, so, so good. Well, my kids were having a double-heder baseball game, which meant it was going to be a four-hour thing at the baseball park. So I got my little camping chair, got my seeds out. I didn't realize by the end of the second game, I had eaten the entire bag of sunflower seeds.
Starting point is 00:02:36 Dude, I was going to throw up. Like, I felt sick, nauseous and sick. Did you throw up? No, I was just not. When I stood up, I got real nauseous. And I'm assuming that pickle flavor is artificial. Yeah, not real like vinegar. Right, because I've had them too.
Starting point is 00:02:51 They're so good. And yes, you can just keep eating sunflower seeds. Because you're really not eating it a lot. You're just getting a lot of that salt. Yeah, that salt and whatever that artificial pickle flavoring is so good, can be good for you. I was so into the game. Like, ooh, that's a good pitch. And you're like, more seeds, more seeds before you?
Starting point is 00:03:05 I knew it. I had the empty bag. I'm like, this is crazy. But did you have a pile of seeds around you, too, where you're spitting it? Yeah, but I have my own designated area where I sit. so no one else is in that area. Do you clean it up afterward? Nah, that's nature.
Starting point is 00:03:16 No, that's not nature. Yeah, it's a seed. What you do is you pile them and you push them into a cup. It's not a, it's a pickle, artificially flavored pickle seed. Yeah, but the actual sunflower seed is a seed. Yeah, it comes from the earth. Bio degrade. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:27 It's like throwing a banana pill on the ground, though, right in a baseball game when everybody's walking. You don't do that, even though it does biodegrade, it still doesn't look good. Yeah, I should probably scoop that up. Maybe I'll go back later this week. Did your kids win? They won both games. Yeah, it was awesome. And you never got sick.
Starting point is 00:03:43 No, I mean, I didn't throw up, but I did not feel good. He confessed how his family greets each other. Turns out he kisses them on the lips, including his mother. Here he is. Lunchbox. I just want to give myself props. You guys always tell me, oh, you need to take time for the listeners. The listeners are what pay our bills.
Starting point is 00:03:59 So I'm a celebrity out in the wild, and some listener, Kim Alexander, comes running up to be. Oh, you love it. You love it when someone approaches you because he's like, I can record this and show I'm famous. And let me just tell you guys, I mean, she was so excited to see me. so, you know, here's a little clip of me talking to her. You're doing that. I'm just saying, man. We didn't hear the pre.
Starting point is 00:04:46 My feeling is, he's like, hey, just really pump me up. Really hype me up. I'm just saying that's where the clip started. I mean, that's when I saw her and I started recording. And, I mean, big fan of the show and look at me. And look at me. Take it time for listeners. Props to me, guys.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Look at him. Wow. You're a real. Not all heroes were caved. I'm wearing the same hoodie over and over again. She got a $70 parking ticket in a garage downtown. That's something that will turn your smile into a frown. There she is.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Sammy, everybody. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So my daughter got 15 demerits in one little incident. We didn't have demerits. Okay, well, normally you just get like... Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Normally you just get like one or two, but this is 15 at once. And it's because she wrote a Bible verse on her arm that she's supposed to have memorized for a test.
Starting point is 00:05:33 Oh, they thought she was cheating. Right. But she said, she wrote it on her arm to study all the... day because the class was later and she can just pull up her sleeve and study because she got on long sleeves that's a great reason she got caught that's the best excuse i've ever heard that's not so you know i said well why not we're put it on a note card like a three by five that's what we do and she said well then i would have to keep up with the note card all day when i'm walking around so i would like to just look at it and she said that she was sitting on the front row and had on long sleeves and never
Starting point is 00:06:03 pulled her sleeve up so she didn't look at how they know was there she didn't look at her arm during the test after the test At some point later, she changed into a short sleeve or took off her sweatshirt or whatever, and then the verse was visible on her arm. Unfair. They can't catch her later. She should have just said she wrote it after the test. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Right. So I'm going to try to have a meeting to figure out exactly. Like, did you see her pulling up her sleeve looking at her arm? But she just was immediately sent to the dean office or whatever. And here's the thing. He was like, well, I wasn't there. I didn't see it. But you can't write.
Starting point is 00:06:39 You can't have answers to a test on your body. But you can celebrate by knowing you nailed an answer to a test by writing it after the test on your body. No rule against that. Well, yeah, but she already said she wrote it on earlier in the day to study. You got it recorded? I never said that. I gaslight the crap out of him.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Oh, well, no, I feel like she was trying to do the truth. I just felt like, whoa. Thankfully, we didn't get in major trouble, but he definitely didn't. He's like, you know, if you lie, it only hurts you, not me. And she was like. No, it actually didn't. I don't like it If they caught her during the test looking at it
Starting point is 00:07:13 Yep I get it Demer the crap out of her They didn't I'm gonna try to get more to the bottom of it Oh really? Yeah That'd be cool In my mind
Starting point is 00:07:23 I like in theory I would But I'm really not I don't have time really but I'm on your daughter's side Justice versus Shira Right well and I'm not We decided we're not gonna give extra punishment at home Because 15 demerits is a lot
Starting point is 00:07:33 I'd reward her No Yeah I would Okay right go ahead From Mountain Pine Arkansas He's a stand-up median and he's doubtful of a medium. Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Nice job. Thank you. Hey, I just want to say this. I'm very looking forward to Monday's show because we're booking a guest. And we book a lot of unconventional guests on this show, especially musically. But there's a band called Dashboard Confessional. And it's actually, it's one guy, really. His name's Chris. But he's going to come in and play.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Did you know this? What? No, I didn't. And so I've asked for vindicated, which is this. We'll be back to college. Scoo v. Steve's playing, right? Yeah, I believe this is one of the ones he's doing. He's doing two songs. It's going to be amazing.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Yeah. Just him solo and acoustic. Yeah. Wow. Isn't that awesome? Yeah. So that should be on Monday show. If everything, listen, he could cancel and go, oh, I'm not feeling well, whatever. Morgan, do you even know who Dashport Professional is? Yeah, I do.
Starting point is 00:08:29 Okay. They had one really big song, but that's not the one I'm thinking of. Do you remember it? No. Yeah. They all blend together. What's the other one he's doing, scuba? Do you know?
Starting point is 00:08:38 Because I've asked for a couple. It's okay if you don't know. I'll just bring it up later. But he's going to be on Monday. That's awesome. Whoa, oh, not this Monday. The next Monday. Okay, well, there you go. I thought he was coming in early.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Oh, now I'm sad again because I got away to wait. But he is coming in, not this Monday, but next Monday. That's awesome. Mark your calendars. Put it in your phone, dash more confessional. All right, that's what's up. Thank you guys. Let's open up the mailbag.
Starting point is 00:09:02 You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, Bobby Bones. My boyfriend doesn't like country music whatsoever. the only thing that he hates more than country music is live country music. I've taken him to a few country concerts, and he literally has pain face the entire time. It's fine when I just go without him. Now, we've been dating for a year.
Starting point is 00:09:28 It really hasn't been an issue until now. I want tickets to Watershed Festival later this summer. I assumed he wouldn't want to go, so I invited one of my longtime guy friends to go with me, who was a huge country music fan. Stuck it to him. But another dude. I don't know. It was crazy.
Starting point is 00:09:43 My boyfriend got upset. I don't think it's because I didn't invite him, but because I invited another guy. We're just friends and have been for years, so I think it's no big deal. But now he wants to go with me, but I know he's going to be miserable. What would you do in this situation?
Starting point is 00:09:58 Take the boyfriend and be miserable, or stand my ground and go with my friend. Signed Jill in Washington. Well, it's always tricky to invite a member of the opposite sex if you haven't been together a long time. They've been together a year. That's, I would need to know for sure that you hadn't, like, done anything with that dude, too. Like, I get it your friends now, but if you ever made out, have you, I'm just guessing that probably have.
Starting point is 00:10:24 But even, bones, even not, though. Say, say, like, let's just put this in our terms. Like, you find a friend that likes to go to Razorback Games. It's a girl. Caitlin doesn't like going to Razorback Games. I would never. I would never. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Capital in. Never. Never. I would never. So, but I would never. But I'm just trying to... They've only been together for a year. Like, here's a long time.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Yeah, it's fine. I would never do that. Me either, man. I don't care how long... I would only invite the opposite sex if my boyfriend was coming with me. Yeah. Or my wife. And even then, she needs to be super cool with them, too, like be friends.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Because I don't want to drag her into a situation where she's with somebody that's annoying. I don't know. She can still go to concerts with her, like, girlfriends. I just don't think it's a good idea. It would be a little bit different if she had asked him and he said, no, but, you know, take a friend and then she takes the... I think if she runs it by him and goes, hey, I'm going to not runs it by him for permission, but make sure he doesn't freak out before you invite the other person. And if he says take a friend, he means a girlfriend. Like, philosophically, I have no problem with this, but I'm telling you I would never do this.
Starting point is 00:11:36 I just never do. You're just inviting so much trouble because he's upset all. already. He's going to be even more upset once you get back. He's going to be like, oh, yeah, what did you guys do? Do you guys hook up? It's just going to be nonstop. So I'm going to say, well, you've already invited the guy friend. It's going to be tough to uninvite him, but I'd probably be like, I need to him my boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Yeah. I think the guy would understand. Yeah. Lunchbox. Listen, you guys live life all wrong. This dude is so insecure. If he's that insecure, then get rid of him. I don't understand what's wrong with going with someone of the opportunity.
Starting point is 00:12:12 it's sex. If your friend likes country music, he should be happy you found someone to go with. Like, go ahead. I agree philosophically. But I don't think you should cut someone just because of an insecurity. Like my wife, she wants to go to a concert with a dude. Go ahead. I did. Wasn't she like drinking wine with some dude when you came home? She was drinking wine and cheese on the porch
Starting point is 00:12:28 with some dude. While you were at work. Oh, you were at work. They were two bottles. They were like, oh, oh, oh, oh. They were surprised you came home. They were two bottles of wine in. He jumped out the window, right? Now they were on the front porch, man. Like, I don't care. Like, I didn't worry about it. Like if she told me, hey, I'm going to see a concert. I'm taking Billy Bob.
Starting point is 00:12:43 All right, have fun of Billy Bob. Billy Bob. Like, it's cool. Like, I'm not worried about it. I just wouldn't. I agree. Philosophically, in theory, everything. I just couldn't do it.
Starting point is 00:12:53 I think you should tell your boyfriend, hey, I should have asked you first. Do you want to go? Yeah. And then take it. We got your email and we left out of the clothes. Bobby's mail back. Amy, what happened to you?
Starting point is 00:13:06 So I had to send work and invoice for something and I put it together and it was for $210. Like an expense? It's sort of, but it's a little bit. different. They wanted me to send it as a invoice. And so I did $210. Then I get an email from accounting or I don't know who. And they're like, hey, we're going to need a W-9
Starting point is 00:13:26 and a little bit more information about this $21,000. And I was like, somebody added some zeros. They were going to pay you $21,000? I don't know yet. I still don't even I still don't even have it resolved. This is very fresh. I went back. I thought, oh, no, did I add some zeros
Starting point is 00:13:44 because that would be embarrassing. But I went back and no, I sent 210. Let me write this down. Okay. $210. Yeah. So all they did is move the decimal point one place. I don't know who did it.
Starting point is 00:13:59 It turns into a comma. If you move to decimal point one place and that decimal point turns into a comma, it turns into $21,000. And so then I'm like, well, so do I just send over my W-9? See what happens? You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:14:11 No, not mm-hmm. Yeah. No, because you have to pay it back. I know. Or I was like, is this a mistake or is this something? Is it a sign? Because you love signs. Yeah, you can interpret this as a sign.
Starting point is 00:14:24 If there's something that you've been wondering, should I buy this? This is a sign, Amy, that you should get this money and buy it. For $21,000, what am I buying? My point is, when you look for signs, you're always looking for something. Like, you won't make a sign happen. I know. But in this case, I think it's just somebody's major error. and I'm thinking, when else does this go wrong?
Starting point is 00:14:43 And people do not say something or catch it, which obviously I've already sent an email trying to figure it out. How did you reply? I just said, can... WTF? Okay, no. First, I asked for more information based on why they were sending me that. Because then I don't want to totally rule myself out for the 21,000 in case,
Starting point is 00:15:05 for some crazy, wild, bizarre reason, I'm owed that. from something over time. You know you're not, though. I know, but I still don't want to figure it out. So I just know that I wasn't at the wrong. And trust me, I will handle it accordingly because, yes, I don't want to pay it back and I want to do the right thing.
Starting point is 00:15:24 But I thought if this happened to lunchbox, 100%. He'd be like, here is my W-9, thank you. But it's going to get taken back. Not necessarily. Like Amy said, maybe they realize they do owe her $21,000. And Amy's the moron that thought it was only $210. So maybe Amy.
Starting point is 00:15:40 But I think she knows the difference in what she needs to invoice the company for. Right. So I'm saying maybe she did the math wrong. Amy does a lot of things wrong. Sometimes she wasn't paying attention. Oh, boy. The companies had to reach out to me. It's been a couple years where they're like, hey, we've paid you a little too much in talent fees over the past four months.
Starting point is 00:15:56 We need to take a back a certain amount of $1,000. And I'm like, wait, what? Because when they did it little by little, it wasn't super noticeable. I'm just like, oh, I must have a good month and, you know, doing commercials for people and them getting there. I'm like, oh, okay, cool. But then when they want it all back at once, that stinks. What do you tell them? What do you tell them?
Starting point is 00:16:14 Money gone. Sorry. No. Yes, sir. May I have another. You know, that's what it is. Let us know what they say. It'd be awesome if it worked out where they were like, no, we demand you take $21,000.
Starting point is 00:16:23 It's like, what in the world? Which it does remind me of the time that I did get a significant bump in my paycheck and I couldn't figure out why. And then I reached out and did some investigating. And turns out I wasn't paid for something for an entire year. and then they were like, oh, we recognize this mistake. So now we're just putting it on this one paycheck. And I was like, you didn't pay me for an entire year? You know that's happened with us too, where scuba goes and does an inventory of stuff I should have been paid for.
Starting point is 00:16:51 And he's like, they never paid you for this. And then they're like, oh, yeah, we forgot. We'll get right over to you. Sorry about that. Yeah, you got to be watching. Also, this is just a reminder to everybody to like, pay close attention. Man, if you get that money, it takes a lot of big fancy dinner, though. Come on.
Starting point is 00:17:05 That's all extra money. Yeah, I'm ordering orders. Appetizers. Oh, dessert. All right, good luck, Amy. I just wonder what they're going to say and if they just moved a period to a comma in one spot.
Starting point is 00:17:18 That's what it looks like there. They just entered it in wrong. Yeah, it has to be. Do you invoice them with paper or do you invoice them on an email? Email. Do you think I mailed in a... I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:28 I get invoices all time in paper form. Oh, yeah, but no, I didn't, honestly, I just had to create one. I don't really invoice people. Lunch is starting to invoice them right now for random things. Okay, that's what's up. Thank you guys. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:17:41 With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. Colin Doran, he owns the homemade cafe in Berkeley, California. And he's always wanted to do this thing. It's like free breakfast for anyone in need to help just people that can't eat. So he never really got started until the pandemic hit. He said, this is the perfect time to start this program. So he started the Everybody Eats program.
Starting point is 00:18:03 You grab a coupon at the front of the restaurant. You claim it. You get a free breakfast, two eggs, home fries, and toast. The only thing that's required, is a thank you. And then the customers, they can donate five bucks to at the end of their meal. And that kind of helps the program live. And since this thing started, 200 meals a month he's been given to homeless people.
Starting point is 00:18:20 I would bet you too that most people give more than five bucks. Yeah. I bet you that most people are giving more than is required. So that allows the people that don't have it right now to continue eating and probably for a long time. He was also worried, too, that like doing this could kill business a little bit, like hurt just kind of the income coming in. but it's actually seeing a 5% increase in business. But also, who eats home fries for breakfast, bro?
Starting point is 00:18:45 Like, I like. It's awesome. Like, what's home fries? What is that? It's French fries. It's like potato fries, isn't it? Well, no. Home fries are like the little cubed things.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Or like a hash brown. That's breakfast, dude? Isn't that a cube brown, so I call them? It's like the little square triangle. Why are you hating on home fries? I'm looking at them. I wouldn't want French fries for breakfast, so they shouldn't call a fries. Amy's absolutely right.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Yeah. They're just potatoes. potatoes. They're not fries. Okay, here's my problem then. Stop calling on fries. So just eggs and potatoes and toast? Eggs, potatoes and toast. That's a breakfast. Who knew that was called a home fry? Well, I did because at Magnolia Cafe, that's what I would get for breakfast there, home fries.
Starting point is 00:19:22 Did you guys know that? No, I had no clue. What would you call those little potatoes? Potatoes. Me too, breakfast potatoes. Okay. Yeah, put ketchup on it. That's how you do it. Great story. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:19:35 I want to go over and talk to Josh, who lives in Kentucky. Hey, I'm going to give you a chance to win a sonic gift card, Josh. We're going to play this game. It's a music game. And you could pick Amy, Lunchbox, or Eddie to represent you. And if you're representative wins, you win. And it's the top 10 highest grossing tours of all time. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:53 And I'm going to play a little music. We're going to do that. But who would you like to represent you, Josh? Obviously, lunchbox, my hero. What? That's what I'm talking about. Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:05 So what we're going to do is we're going to go. Name that tune's style where the song will start from the very beginning. Oh gosh. You buzz in with your name. We'll stop the song immediately. If you miss it, we'll play that song from where it started. The next person can buzz in, okay?
Starting point is 00:20:19 So we're looking for the artist. You can say the song and then get to the artist, but we're looking for the artist. These are the biggest tours of all time. Top 10 highest grossing tours of all time. All right. Here we go. Hit it.
Starting point is 00:20:34 Ludgebox. Alba. Incorrect. Amy. Amy. Harry Stiles. Correct. as it was Harry

Starting point is 00:21:07 Lunchbox Pink Floyd That's another brick in the wall part two I'll accept it The tour is Roger Water but it's a Pink Floyd song, so I'm going to go yes. That comes in on the list at number 8, $459 million. You got the song right, too.
Starting point is 00:21:21 We don't need no education. It's all tied up. Yeah. Wow. Okay, here we go. Next one up. Eddie. Edie.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Poor play. Yeah, correct. Okay, made $524 million. That song is yellow. I'm in the lead. Made that tune. You got to go fast. Here we go.

Starting point is 00:23:00 Correct. Dang it. I'm good, very, Jerry, Jerry, Jerry. I'm in love with your body Last one Amy, if you get this You tie and we go to sudden death Here we go
Starting point is 00:23:16 The final one, go Lunchbox What? What? Well, what sucked is Ray hit the song After Lunchbox said it He didn't be able to hear it Yeah

Starting point is 00:23:36 oh no which is what he wanted anyway I know I wanted to reek havoc why any other songs Ray at all
Starting point is 00:23:47 just pull up a random song so well this will be the Elton John the biggest tour of all time that's crazy made $853 million bucks but we're just gonna do a random song
Starting point is 00:23:56 all right lunchbox you're eliminated no no no no yeah you are you just cheated on that one so no havoc will be reeked all right
Starting point is 00:24:02 and go what well listen for a little bit Jagman's good winning. Eddie. It's John Pardt. Morgan Waller. It's Tyler Hubbard.
Starting point is 00:24:21 That's God made the good stuff. No, it's 5'9. He's telling you what it is. I know, but that line is in there. Eddie wins. Nice job. Dang it. What a weird game that was.
Starting point is 00:24:33 It was so weird. Okay, Josh, you did not win. You picked Lunchbox. He not only lost last place. He cheated. So I'm sorry you didn't win. win, Josh, but it's anything you'd like to say while we have you here? Yeah, yeah. I heard you talk
Starting point is 00:24:47 about Stanley, your bulldog. We have a bulldog ourselves and he had tons of, like, issues, like with his joints and hair. And my wife switched him over to a raw diet. This dude gets a whole chicken ground up in a grinder with
Starting point is 00:25:02 no feathers and heat it raw twice a day. Raw. And that's okay? Raw. Raw. Raw chicken? Are you, and that? Yeah. Chicken, turkey, and duck.
Starting point is 00:25:16 And that's healthy? Has no allergies. Because if it's healthy, I'll run it too. Yeah, research it. I will. My wife knows all about it. I guess supposedly the dog has a smaller gut, so it doesn't have time to, like, give him any bacteria.
Starting point is 00:25:29 Yeah. Okay. And this dog ain't even the same dog. And I'm sure your dog's got gas, right? You know, he's not very farty, honestly. The only bulldog, he snores like crazy, but he's not very farty. Those are two things bulldogs are, snoring farty. Not very farty.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Here's what I do. I like this guy. He did bring us something. It's like a gift. So we're going to give him the gift of the price he would have won. So we're still going to give him the $50 Sonic gift card. Okay. That's awesome. All right. I appreciate that. Hey, thank you. And Josh, hope you have a good day. Stay on the phone. We're going to get you a prize. Okay. Awesome. Thank you, sir. Thank you for the news. I'm going to research that as well.
Starting point is 00:26:01 Yeah, I'm not sure you need to grind up raw chicken. Well, I'm about to research it and see. Okay. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying. Yep. That's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media.

A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands.
Starting point is 00:27:48 I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Starting point is 00:28:22 My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with him one day. And I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
Starting point is 00:28:37 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. Mm. and he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
Starting point is 00:28:55 If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:29:15 A big weekend for Abby, our phone screener, producer, she does it all. Because she has her show, her acoustic, plan on top of a hotel show. What? Yeah, she booked her gig. I booked her gig. Well, you made a contact, but I think she booked the gig. Why did he just say what? Like, he's surprised.
Starting point is 00:29:36 He's the one that wanted me to have the gig. And I thought you booked the gig so you would know when it was. No, no, no one has told me a date. But then you didn't book the gig. Anyway, I'm not fighting semantics here. Abby, you excited? I am. Yeah. And it's Taylor Swift weekend. She's here on Friday and Saturday, so I think it's going to be really busy. And do you play by yourself?
Starting point is 00:29:54 Chad, the guitar player, he's going to be playing the guitar and all the thing. And how long do you play? Just two-hour sets. Sets? Yeah. Each night? Uh-huh. Where's the place is? It's Luna. So it is the Grand Hyatt. It's like the rooftop bar. It's like one of the tallest. It is the tallest rooftop bar in Nashville. Wow.
Starting point is 00:30:13 So the Grand Hyatt is a hotel here. I don't know. On Broadway. Okay. And then on the rooftop, there is a bar called Luna. Yes. And you'll be playing
Starting point is 00:30:21 from what time to what time? Five to seven each day. What's the first song you play in your set list, do you know? I'll probably do. Ooh, that's a hard one. Any man of mine,
Starting point is 00:30:31 Shania Twain. Marry down is there. I will be there Friday. Go like of the half hours. Go like the fourth half hour. No, no. Five.
Starting point is 00:30:42 I'll be there at five million. Because you're going to harass her. Even by doing. nothing. She's going to know you're there to record her. There's just an unneeded nervousness for her. Yes. Showbiz, baby. And then she wants
Starting point is 00:30:55 me to play my contact. She was like do a lot of Taylor Swift too, so I got to brush up on my Taylor Swift. And there's also going to be one I'm going to dedicate to lunchbox. It's mean. That's a good one. You're a liar and pathetic and all you are is mean.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Do you know it yet? That song? Yeah. I do. Okay, we're excited and lunchbox be good. I'll be there Friday. Abby, here's the thing. I just want to be real with you. I've never done this before. I want to spill the tea.
Starting point is 00:31:22 But lunchbox wants to spill the tea. I just need to show you what the tea is before I say it. In an unprecedented move of spilling the tea. Well, you're going to reveal the tea before. Yes, because I feel like this is so personal that if it's true, I feel like it's dirty bringing it up. But if it's true, I don't want to say it on the air. I have no idea, but this is making me really nervous.
Starting point is 00:31:41 But I'm not going to say it on the air. So how are you going to tell her? I'm going to show her. Yeah, I'm on a piece of paper. Okay. Because this is good. There's a, there's almost like an integrity you have to have to be a part of spill the tea. Like you have to have some integrity to not like reveal dirty, ugly or super private stuff.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Like you can't go spill the tea. I'm going to get Bobby's home address. You couldn't do that. Right, right, right. Right? Or I'm going to spill the tea. I know he's been hiding it, but screwbusief's sole security number, 638. You can't do.
Starting point is 00:32:13 There is a level of spill the tea. But when you salt this tea, you're like, holy crap, right? No, I'm like, Abby, just come in the room. Can I just automatically say no? Yes, you can say no, we'll not say anything about it. Well, you should see what it is, though. Oh, no, no, no, you can't automatically without seeing it. Let's spill the tea.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Now, I know, you already see it on the screen? Look on my screen, though, first. He took a picture of your phone. Are you kidding? Are you kidding me? Are you? He took a picture of your phone. which is not cool.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Hold on. She left the phone sitting in front of me. That doesn't mean that you can take a picture of your phone. It wasn't like I was snooping. And he wants to say this. It's not true. Okay. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Okay, so whatever it is, it's not true. Let's go then. I'm going to let her walk back to the microphone. That's weird. Abby's walking out of the room. Abby's walking back to the microphone. She's in the glass room. Abby, okay.
Starting point is 00:33:15 So you saw, is it okay that he talks? about this. Yeah, but I can't believe he took a picture of my phone. That's what really annoys me. I'm sorry you left your phone sitting in front of me. Invasive and trusive. Both. You can't be taken. Oh, you're on the toilet right in front of me. I took a picture. You're sitting on the toilet. No, you can't do that.
Starting point is 00:33:35 One more time, Ray would spill the tea. Spill the tea. Lunchbox. What would you like to spill the tea? Abby is in love slash dating Nate Smith. What? Guys, he came in a week ago. Whatever. mean days ago it was.
Starting point is 00:33:51 And you look at Abby back in the glass room and she has moved across the room and look at her smile and her eyes staring at him as he performs. Like she has posted up and she is melting into the wall. But that's different than she's dating. Hold on. And that looks like she's enjoying a concert. Hold on. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:07 She doesn't do that with most people. But Nate Smith, she has made it a fact. She interviewed him. Then 20 minutes after Nate Smith leaves. She left her phone sitting here. And what pops up. Couldn't have gotten into. No, I didn't get into it.
Starting point is 00:34:21 She left it. But okay, but still, you shouldn't take a picture of what you see on the phone and then share it with people. I didn't. I just shared it with you. This is spilling the teeth. Go ahead. And she gets a text message from Nathan. And then two minutes later, another one from Nathan.
Starting point is 00:34:36 So you're telling me. You're telling me that at 20 minutes after he leaves, he texts her and that ain't something? Is Nathan Nate? Yeah, is that true? I mean, how do you know Nathan's Nate? Yeah. I mean, guys. No, no.
Starting point is 00:34:48 How do you know Nate? is Nate. I don't call him Nathan. Yes, that's because his professional name is Nate Smith. Nate is short for Nathan. Yeah, I know that, but Lunchbox is short for Lunchboxian, and we don't call you that. And so, I mean, the fact that she has him in is Nathan. Okay, Abby, uh, response to me. Wow.
Starting point is 00:35:04 All I can say is, you know what happens when you assume. That's not, no. That's not it. Is Nathan Nate? No, no, it's not Nate Smith. It's a different Nathan. That's insane. Oh, that is just a, wow.
Starting point is 00:35:19 You're sorry? Just a random coincidence But yes, that would be Well, a random coincidence would be That's what it is So what we found out is Maybe that's just random or that's a coincidence It's a random coincidence
Starting point is 00:35:31 It's a super random. Okay, so if you put the puzzle pieces together After spilling the tea We find out that she couldn't date Nate Smith So she found a Nathan to date. Right, no She can address that however she wants But Abby, are you saying that Nate Smith
Starting point is 00:35:46 Is not Nathan in your phone? It is not Nate Smith. Okay. And are you? You upset the lunchbox, took a picture of your phone. Yes. And the text that you got and shared them with the studio. Yes, why would you do that?
Starting point is 00:35:55 It was probably upside down. Did you pick it up and look at it? No, it's face up. It doesn't matter. Don't give them way to get out of this. But then do you have it where the text just show up with the person's name or you can actually see some of the text? Good question.
Starting point is 00:36:09 I don't know. Because I thought it was just like facial recognition, but maybe it did. No, no. It's just on the lock screen and it says, new message. We spilled the team. Abby just did her hands like stops. When I was going to. When I started.
Starting point is 00:36:19 doing this, Morgan glared back at Abby like, uh-oh, like she's lying to us. Like, Morgan just gave her a look. No, I was checking on Abby. Okay, I don't know. She was like, listen, there's three girls in the studio. I'm checking on Abby. Like, you're stressing her out.
Starting point is 00:36:36 I'm not going to think that Lunchbox understands the communication between two women. She just admitted it. She did look back there. I'm checking on Abby. And I checked on her too because it's very personal. This is getting awkward. Like, okay. You took a picture of her phone And like, that's why I'm saying, like, I don't know what information is showing up on there.
Starting point is 00:36:53 And what if this Nathan is saying something personal? And now not only have you taken a picture, but you have it. You send it to Bobby. And now people have it. And now it's out there. I'm going to post it on social media. No, you're not. Okay, look, Abby, I'm sorry this happened.
Starting point is 00:37:04 You're not dating Nate Smith. No, I'm not. Nathan in your phone is not Nate Smith. And lunchbox is wrong for what he did. And if you'd like to, in the next couple days, suggest a punishment for this breach of, you let us know. Okay. I'll be thinking. The jury will listen to what you have to say.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Love it. Okay. Don't you feel like that's inappropriate about what he did and punishable? And he takes pictures of my computer all the time and you guys have no problem with it. It's punishable. I mean, I'm just taking pictures of the room. Your computer happens to be right there. I was taking a picture of the room.
Starting point is 00:37:33 Phone happened to be in it. But it's bikini girls versus somebody's personal life. Right, right. He's got nothing. Okay. The end. Okay, thank you. Abby, I'm very sorry that happened.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Oh, yeah. Thank you. All right. A voicemail from Angel in Texas. I was just sweal. wanting to get Bobby's opinion as a shoe guy. What is the deal with Champion? How it used to be the Walmart brand, like when we were growing up, and now it's super
Starting point is 00:37:57 expensive and sought after. I just don't know what the deal is with that. I would love to see a champion documentary or something. What are your thoughts? Champions done a great job. Kind of reinventing itself. That being said, you can still get it in a Walmart or a Target, but there's a, like a higher quality champion that costs more money.
Starting point is 00:38:14 Oh, I didn't know that. So you could actually, again, go to Walmart and get championed. And people would just be like, dang, they got the champion stuff. It's good. And act like you got the good stuff. There's really no difference. Like, I've got a couple champion hoodies and sweatshirts. And I just wish I would have went to Walmart.
Starting point is 00:38:32 That's a good brand. But, yes, they have now marketed it. And if cool people wear it, then they can go, oh, we're cool again. So let's sell it cooler. It's like New Balance. New Balance was just like a dad shoe. Yeah. Like straight up.
Starting point is 00:38:44 But then New Balance got. really cool, but the thing is, now new balance is jacking up their prices of probably 40% of their inventory, like the cool shoes of it. You can still get new balance at just any runner's store for 80, 90 bucks, the same, but you can also get new balance for $400 and $500 now too. So it's pretty cool that people can do dual because, again, you could go buy the $85 ones, which, I mean, that's not a nickel. That is, that's real money, but and people will just assume if they know anything about shoes, maybe those are the $400 ones. So that's it.
Starting point is 00:39:17 They just are hitting kind of dual price areas at the same time. I don't have any champion shoes, though. I don't feel like they make the best shoes. I did have champion shoes when I was younger because that's what we got at Walmart. But, yeah, champions had a great job. Champion used to be super cool, and then it went to not that cool, and then now it's cool again. What goes up?
Starting point is 00:39:36 Must come down. I've heard that. Yeah, yeah. Thank you, Angel. Here is Chris in Virginia. I was just curious about would Bobby still own, raised? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:45 And if she does, do you ever plan on doing anything with that? I still own, raise. Yeah, I bought it from him for a hundred bucks or so. Or did I pay more? It was in the 100, something like that. I think we negotiated. So he can still use it, but I own it. But you own that forever.
Starting point is 00:40:01 Yeah, I own his voice doing it. Wow. Like an NFT. We recorded it, I own it. He can't do it without my permission. If ever shut it down, that's it. He can't do it. But I'll let him go right now.
Starting point is 00:40:12 He's leasing it from me with a smile. He's paying with smiles. Okay. Yes. See, there you go. But I own that. I paid for that. Here's Amy's pile of stories. People are feeling stressed and overwhelmed when they have too many tabs or windows open on their browser, just like they feel stressed at home if there's too much clutter. And I'm like, this makes sense. And now I'm this person.
Starting point is 00:40:36 I have so many tabs open. And now I realize why sometimes my computer stresses me out. I could understand having a couple tabs open if you needed to go back and forth. from tab to tab. But why are yours open? Because my assumption is it's not because of that. Every time I need something, open a new tab. Oh, you just forget about the rest. Right.
Starting point is 00:40:54 Leave that open, leave it open, leave it open. And then I leave them open all the time. And then even at night, when I shut, like I close my computer, I open them back up. All my tabs are right there. And then this is why I shut your computer down. You know, I think I probably should more. But it seems to me like.
Starting point is 00:41:09 Well, that's the question. Yeah. Well, this is why my computer is probably running slow. Yeah. But also, it could. help just de-stress me the simple act of closing out all the tabs. Yeah, your phone has
Starting point is 00:41:21 a lot of red dots, emails, texts. That's your life though, you know? But I am not a, my home is not cluttered at all. I'm very neat and organized at home. I love, physically. I love to distract myself from life by cleaning and
Starting point is 00:41:37 organizing and vacuuming. Yeah, I think you're a clean person. Physically, a lot of clean stuff. Right. Mentally, a lot of open tabs. My laptop has no open tabs, just one. However, just the one I'm using.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Unless I'm going A-B with like a message board, if I'm on like a Razorback message board and I'm checking like, sometimes I'll fact-check those idiots just to be like, that's not true. What about Google Docs? You don't have multiple open? No, I have them saved in my favorites, so I click and go to it.
Starting point is 00:42:07 But I don't have multiple open. But my phone, I will say this, sometimes you can't see when they're open. Oh yeah, you gotta swipe up. Sometimes I'll have a bunch of those just because I don't even know that there are multiples running. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:19 But that's accidental and then when I see it's a lot I throw my phone away and you buy a new phone. That's too much. I'm just like, I can't do it anymore. All right, what else? Artists that have inspired
Starting point is 00:42:27 the most tattoos. Who do you think is at number one? Johnny Cash. No. Elvis. Nope, nope. Think of more recent. Oh.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Oh, well, I'm thinking all the time. Adele, Adele. Oh, I'm thinking only country artists. Amy, give us a better frame here. Okay, so. Is it pop, country, what? Pop. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Then I'm going to go. I mean, Beaver. There is one country person. Yeah, Bieber's good. That's a good answer. Dang. Yeah. Harry Styles.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Yeah. Ooh. Oh, T. Swift. Oh, that's a good one, too. Let's just kill this game right now. Justin, well, Justin and Harry. Jesse McCartney. Oh.
Starting point is 00:43:02 Justin and Harry, they're at the top searches for like, should I get this person tattooed or what should I get? And then the top that are posted on Instagram, B.T.S. Yeah, I see it. K-pop, massive. And I don't understand anything they're saying massive, yeah. Pink Floyd? Yeah, from the 70s. That's older.
Starting point is 00:43:19 All in all, it's just a another brick in the wall. Slip knot? Oh, hardcore. No, that's not slip knot. Oh, dang it. It's close. And then rounding out the top five posted on Instagram, Tupac and Nirvana. So mostly old school.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Yeah. And they're already dead, so they can't disappoint you more. You already know what they got themselves into. Like that woman who had all of our names tattooed on her arm. odds are one of us is going to jail. Yeah, I think it's pretty good. Just of all, one of us is going to jail. So it's probably Ray for some reason.
Starting point is 00:43:51 I don't know why or lunchbox, but yes. Does anybody have a musician tattooed here? No. A band? What's he's talking about? Mike does. Mike does? A band no one's ever heard of. I think he made it up just to be like,
Starting point is 00:44:02 Hey, Mike D. Your band on your shoulder is what? Lemuria, my favorite band of all time. And was that a band that was like your high school? In college days, it's also representative of that period of my life, Kind of like the listener. No, no, I mean, was it a band that was at your high school? No, no, no, oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Got it. Limeria. Yeah. Are they still around? Yeah. Do they still play music? They're on a break. They're on a break.
Starting point is 00:44:24 They're on a break. They're on a break right now, but they put it out a new album maybe like a few years ago. How long of a break? Like three years? Why does Lentfucks grow? Is there a big interest in them getting back together? Yeah. I think one of them just had a kid.
Starting point is 00:44:39 You ever met them? Yeah. You ever been to their house for dinner? No. Okay. Did you show? Oh, then the tattoo? They've seen it, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Were they weirded out? No. Are you sure? Yeah. Why, yeah, they can be feel weird. I'm just saying, you know, I'm going to. It's a cool tattoo. It is a cool tattoo.
Starting point is 00:44:58 It makes me look cool. And you know what? You got it a long time ago. Yeah, like seven years ago. Before he got. Mike now is like smart and cool. Saying I was dumb when I got the same thing. Yeah, I look at.
Starting point is 00:45:11 It's huge. It's huge. Does anybody have a raging idiot's tattoo that you know of? No, and I would say, please don't. I'll pay you not to do that. I know, but people have done the show. I just didn't know if at a concert, people have been like, check it out, Eddie and Bobby.
Starting point is 00:45:26 Not that we know. Just names, but no. I have a microphone tattoo from the Radio Hall of Fame. I got my mom and my grandma. I got a C for Caitlin. I have Dancing with the Stars. Word that says mirror ball, small. That should be it, huh?
Starting point is 00:45:38 But no bands. No bands. All right. What else? Well, BB Rexa and Dolly Parton recorded a song called Seasons, but it's not the first song that Beebe pitched to Dolly. Originally, she asked if she
Starting point is 00:45:49 would record a song with her about Heaven and Hell, and Dolly wrote her a handwritten note saying that she could not sing a song about Heaven and Hell in her reasons why she didn't want to. So eventually they settled on seasons. But it
Starting point is 00:46:05 made me think of you, Bobby, which hell you can say, because it's a place. Only a place, but I wouldn't use it in the context of meaning, using it as a word. as a descriptive for how bad or hard something is. Right, but I was thinking if an artist came to you and said, hey, I got this idea for the song, but it's got the D word in it. You'd be like...
Starting point is 00:46:23 Which D word? Dog, I'm in. The ones like, you know, that you hear, like, damn. In songs. Oh, my goodness. Right? Just me. Like, Scotty McCreary, what if he came to him?
Starting point is 00:46:34 It was like, hey, I got this song. I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't do it. What's hard is? I've been asked to be in songs by people. Like, and I just won't do it because it's a joke. Eddie and our band, we've raised a lot of maturity, we've made decent money, but it's a fun joke band. I don't, we don't think we should be, but an artist will go, hey, do you want to be in the song?
Starting point is 00:46:51 Like, you can do it, you can do it. You can, like, sing a little, and I'm like, guys, no. You should say yes to that. I just can't do it. You could bust out Captain Caucasian. I know I could, but I don't think it will be good. And I just rhyme like there, right there. All right, go ahead. I'm Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of story. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:47:12 With Bobby Tell me something She's 92 years old Her name is Mary Silvestri And she always wanted to be a Rockette She wanted to audition back in the day But she couldn't get to New York City She didn't have the money
Starting point is 00:47:24 She would have to go alone But again she's 92 And as always said I just wish I would have had my chance Her family shared the story with the Rockettes I don't know how They emailed rockettes.com No idea
Starting point is 00:47:34 Rockettes so how do you think about High kicking New York Radio City musical A whole bunch of it yeah Big hats on Dress the same Yeah that and like Carmen Miranda. Do you know who that is with all the fruit on her?
Starting point is 00:47:47 Those kind of confuse me sometimes. I get those mixed up. But yeah, yeah, the Rockettes. So she went and she practiced with them. She learned from them. Again, she's 92 years old. She did some kicks, but I would say they're more like flicks. That's what mine looks like. She's a 92 years old.
Starting point is 00:48:04 But it's a super cool video to watch because you can see she's so excited and she's wanted to do it her whole life. And a big shout out to the Rockettes. This whole thing was on GMA because they went through a whole like lesson and process and she didn't make it. Guys, sorry. Sadly, she didn't make the actual crew. But still, that would be amazing. What would?
Starting point is 00:48:23 To go do that. I mean, I've been a part of kick routines before. It's just, it's... I'm good on dancing forever. You're retired? Forever. Like, when I see her training in this room, because I was in those rooms for hours and hours,
Starting point is 00:48:36 it's like PTSD type stuff. Probably. Just awesome experience when I did it overall, but those days were really hard. and then I just was bad at it. Imagine being really bad at something every day for like 10 hours a day. Just really bad at it. And your coach, your person is trying,
Starting point is 00:48:53 but there's only so much patience a person can have. Like my partner, she was patient as much as she could be. But there was a point where she's like, let's go. Come on. Why can't you get this? And I'm like, I don't know. If I could, I would. That's weird to picture someone having to tell you,
Starting point is 00:49:07 why can't you get this. Yeah, it was, I mean, nine, 10, 11 hours a day of me being bad, bad at something. There was never a time where I was good at it. to the whole season. It's tough. However, you won. I did win. That's tough.
Starting point is 00:49:19 But a big shout out to Mary Silvestri. I'd have beat her and dancing with the stars. Mary Silvestri. Oh, for sure. This turns into a competition. That's 90, dude. And a big shout out to the Rockettes. It's a great video.
Starting point is 00:49:28 That's what this is all about. Nice job. That was Tell Me Something Good. Full disclosure. There are so many complaints about us. There are so many mean things written about us individually and as a show. or people that just don't understand us that every once in a while
Starting point is 00:49:48 I go and search out a compliment on the voicemail line I'll just tell you right now I'm like I need to hear something good because sometimes you just need a little dose of oh yeah this is Chris in Chesapeake Virginia Hey Bobby Bone's show I just wanted to say how much we love you guys
Starting point is 00:50:04 my wife and I listen to you every morning on the way to work and I listen to you pretty much throughout your whole show I've been listening now for maybe a couple years You guys are great. I love your personalities. Bobby, you're hilarious.
Starting point is 00:50:18 Amy, you're beautiful. So, you know, I just wanted to say that you guys brighten our day every day. And thank you so much for what you guys do. You make a lot of people smile. That's like a drink of water on a hot summer day. That was nice. I need my thirst quench sometimes. It's not thirsty for a compliment.
Starting point is 00:50:35 Thank you for that, Chris. We really appreciate it. Now it's time. We're going to go investigative corny. How many jokes can we get in a time limit? What's time limit? I forget we've changed it so much. It's 90 seconds.
Starting point is 00:50:46 90 seconds. Let's get our team ready. You guys, you ready? We're ready. Investigative Corny. We'll start at the end of Amy's joke. The timer starts in. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 00:50:57 The morning, corny. What did the tomato say to the other tomato during a race? Catch up. Catch up. Catch up, catch up. Let's go. Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 00:51:08 What do cows read the most? Movies. Movies. What do they read the most? Re-movals. Novels. Bofy moot. What do they read?
Starting point is 00:51:17 Mo. Cowboy. Milk. Utter. Utter books? Oh, that's good. Utter books. Mo.
Starting point is 00:51:26 Field. Melky books. Pastures. Horizon. What do cows? The weather. Moes? Moodooazines.
Starting point is 00:51:37 Yeah, moogizines. Cow. Calalog? Cow. Cattle. Cattle logs. Cattle. Is it cattle?
Starting point is 00:51:46 Yes, yes. Oh, I say Cal. No, no, cattle. I didn't really get that. Cattle logs. Okay. What do you call a well-balanced horse? Oh, ye.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Even. Horse. Nays. Well-balanced? Breakfast cereals. Well-balanced breakfast. I'm thinking of weight. Well-balanced.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Horse. Horses do. Where do horses? Tump. Run. Race. Stalian. Where do horses?
Starting point is 00:52:14 Stalian. What do they eat? Where do they eat? Where do they? They live. What do they do? Hey. Even keeled.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Even. Gallup. Great. What's the joke again? Who cares? We have three seconds left, guys. Maine. What do you call a well-balanced horse?
Starting point is 00:52:32 I don't know. Maintenance. Okay. You want it. Stable. Oh, it's stable. I did say where do they live? You did.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Dang, ding. I thought you were going to get it after that. And also, Cal-a-Log and Catalog. So, gross. I didn't really get that. But you did. A-table. All y'all need is one of you to sort of get it
Starting point is 00:52:51 And then y'all get it Right, right, right. We're a good team. Yeah, did we get Calta log Or did somebody hear that and go catalog? I heard that and then found the catalog joke in it. There it is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:00 We got two. Okay, go ahead. Clear eyes, full hearts. Get me. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me.

Starting point is 00:54:13 There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. Emerald 2, never mess with her friends either. We always say that, trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
Starting point is 00:54:41 I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last time. target. He's going to get what he deserves.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Wodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live and the Big Money Players Network, it's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like,
Starting point is 00:55:30 And dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
Starting point is 00:55:57 If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Let's talk to Abraham, who is on the phone right now.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Abraham, what's up, buddy? Hey, what's up, Bobby Bones? Como da, amigo? Como's da, bien. What's going on? Well, I just wanted to thank you for the help. me to become a convert for country music. Couldn't stand that type of music and I was listening to your show a few months back
Starting point is 00:56:38 and all of the sudden. I was like, you know what? I'm a truck driver now. And it seems like this music goes along with the job. So here I am. Is there? Hey, so what do you like? Like, do you have an artist or a couple artists that you like or a couple songs you like since you're new?
Starting point is 00:56:53 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I like Luke Combs. I like Toby Keith. And I think my favorite of all is probably George Strait. I'm a real about morning. Yes. How long have you been listening to country music in your life?
Starting point is 00:57:06 This is going to make you laugh. But back in the day, I always used to listen to some country songs. And it was either about a beard, a truck, or a horse. And I'm thinking maybe if you talk about Chevrolet and Ford, I might listen to some more songs, but I just couldn't get to it. So the last six months, I can say. You like that. We got a new convert here.
Starting point is 00:57:28 Yes, sir, yes, sir. Hey, so where do you drive? I'm a regional driver. I travel all around the state of Kansas. My depot is right there in northwest Arkansas. Gravet. I don't know if you ever heard of that town. No, I don't think so. Unless that played... Is it in Arkansas?
Starting point is 00:57:44 Yeah. Yeah, weird. I'm 25 minutes from Bentonville. Okay, well, I probably have played ball there. Is that what it called Gravette? Yeah. Okay. Well, maybe I need to go there.
Starting point is 00:57:52 I used to summer there. Maybe I forgot. Yeah. Well, look, I appreciate that. Are you in the truck right now? I am driving. I'm driving through Tulsa right now. Can you give us a little...
Starting point is 00:57:59 Uh-uh. Let's go. Okay, so I'm going to play you a song. Of those that you gave us, would you like Luke Combs, would you like Toby Keith, or would you like George Strait? I know. I want Luke Combs. That one, there's one where he says,
Starting point is 00:58:19 we've been burning the candle, or we've been burning the live both ends. I think that's how the song starts. We. You kind of love we make. Here's all I'm going to do for you, because I love you so much, Abraham. I'm going to give you Luke Combs, the kind of love we make, followed immediately by Amarillo by morning.
Starting point is 00:58:37 Wow. Oh, my goodness. All right. I hope you stay safe. I appreciate you calling. And I don't think that truck drivers get the respect that they deserve. One, because we're built on it. Our country has built.
Starting point is 00:58:53 Our infrastructure is dependent on these trucks, get up in point A to B and taking us goods. And also, I had to get a CDL and drive a truck. And it was awful for me because people don't know. Don't treat people just we all around big trucks don't understanding if it crashes into you you die It's crazy so Abraham we appreciate you we got a double shot for Abraham okay Thank you thank you thank you I actually remember when you did that show I learned trying to drive a truck That was pretty cool of you yeah I'm breaking Bobby bones that's right and had to carry eggs Yes all right buddy hope you have a good day down with it
Starting point is 00:59:27 Thank you buddy A lot of Taylor Swift content today Abby's playing her show on top of that hotel at the Luna Hotel during Taylor Swift weekend here in town on Friday and Saturday night. And Sunday. Is it three nights? Three nights. Dang, she's doing a residency.
Starting point is 00:59:43 Abby Grand Hyatt, Luna. No, no. Taylor Swift is three nights. Oh, that's been Abby. Not happy. Well, I was more excited about Abby. I was like, dang, Abby killing it. Okay, wait, when's Abby, though?
Starting point is 00:59:54 Friday and Saturday. Yeah. Taylor Swift's doing three nights at the stadium. Yep. Dang, that's a lot of tickets. That's probably $2 million bucks a night. Oh, my good. How is Taylor Swift stressing you out, Amy?
Starting point is 01:00:09 Well, my daughter's going on Sunday night, and we can't settle on what to wear, and I didn't realize it was going to be this stressful. And her and her best friend, they're being very particular, trying to figure out the right things, and nothing I come up with a present is good, and we need something fast. So now I'm just, I just went to Amazon and typed in Taylor Swift, ERA's show or concert, whatever, I don't know, tour. and then all these options show up.
Starting point is 01:00:37 So a lot of people must be doing this on Amazon because I've ordered so much stuff. We'll see what sticks. I don't know. It's just going to all arrive and thankfully I'm going to be able to return most of it. But just let's pray something works. Are they outfits from the different eras though?
Starting point is 01:00:50 Yeah. I mean, it's all kind of stuff that'll fit the theme and the vibe of what, depending on what decade they decided to go with. And you're not going to the show. Or what era? I'm not going. No, she's going with her best friend. And I know that they're going to have...
Starting point is 01:01:01 Her mom. Okay. And I know that they're going to have so much fun. and it's going to be really special. But, I mean, yeah, I've worked on Monday. Does your daughter know about your past obsession with the same person? Have you told her that you took a painting class just to paint a picture so you can hand it to Taylor in a meet and greet? Yes.
Starting point is 01:01:16 She knows that. She said that I'm crazy. Why would you do that? But a mom and a daughter are both obsessed over the same person. Wow. Look at the longevity of Taylor Swift. Yeah, that's pretty cool. That's pretty awesome.
Starting point is 01:01:27 Now, Lunchbox has an issue. Not so much with Taylor, but one of your friends and Taylor, right? Yeah. So my wife has been talking about wanting to go to Taylor. Taylor Swift. So I've been trying to get tickets, tried to buy them when they want on sale. Nothing. Then I get... Even with three stadiums? Yes. You couldn't get tickets? Couldn't get tickets. It was unbelievable. And so I've been looking. And then my friend from high school texted me and says, hey, do you know anybody that needs Taylor Swift
Starting point is 01:01:51 tickets? Because I bought tickets to the Houston show in Nashville and I went in Houston so I'm not going to come to Nashville. Like she went to the... And Nashville. Yes. Got it. And so she went to the Houston one so I'm not going to come to Nashville. And I was like, actually, my wife and I, you know, I've been looking for tickets. She goes, oh, I'll sell them to you for $500 a piece. And I said, you paid $500 per ticket? And she said, no, I paid $350. But I'll give them to you for $500 each.
Starting point is 01:02:17 That's dirty. So your friend is scalping. Wow. My friend is scalping me. That still sounds like a friend deal, though. No. Make your point because I understand what you're saying, Amy. I get that you shouldn't, well, you would,
Starting point is 01:02:33 expect a friend to just give it to you as they bought them for that price. However, this friend of yours could sell them for a thousand or more each. She's losing money by selling them to you for 500. Right. She is losing no money. She bought those tickets. If you did the same thing happen to you, there's no way you would only go 150 up if you can make 700 on them.
Starting point is 01:02:53 If my friend, I would never scout my own friend. Like this is someone that I have, they have my phone number. So it's not like we're just like acquaintances. This is a friend. that texted me and then tried to scalp me. How dare you try to scalp your own friend? The only thing I would say is she could sell them for far more and she's giving you a discount.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Right. She knew going in. It depends how close you are. If it's somebody that you, if it's like a best-ish friend, lunchbox I'm looking at where your tickets. Do I know where your tickets are? I don't know if you know where my tickets are.
Starting point is 01:03:27 Or where they were. Do you know where hers are? Yeah, I can show you a screenshot. We show Mike and we'll see what they're going for in secondary markets. And then the judge will make up his mind. She told me, quote, in that section, they're going for 2,000 a piece. Yeah, I believe it. If that's the case, I'd be happy she's given $500.
Starting point is 01:03:44 But then she should tell him right away, like, okay, no, no, I don't want to sell him to you because I want to make money off this. Right. That's what I think. But that's okay. You know what I mean? Like, if I owned a taco shop. But she said that. That's her saying I get $2,000 bucks for them.
Starting point is 01:03:56 Oh, she's just saying I'll sell them to you for that. No, no, no, no. $5. be losing basically she's selling for what's up mike oh she could how much could she sell them for for $1,600 for one ticket huh so $3,200 for two tickets as opposed to a thousand bucks yeah so she's losing $2,200 I don't know I'm just throwing numbers out I think that's right but and you're still upset about it I am so upset that she is scalping a friend like when you say oh do you know anyone looking for tickets I'm not going to go did you ever just said no
Starting point is 01:04:31 I don't know anyone. Yeah. I would have rather just said, you know what? No. So you know what I told her? Kick rock. Great. And she's like, good, because I can now make $2,000 extra dollars.
Starting point is 01:04:41 No, no. Those are what they're listed for. You know why they're not selling? Because they're too expensive. No one's buying them. I'm going to side on her side here. She was giving you a friend discount, friends and family discount.
Starting point is 01:04:54 And I'm going to say I side with her. I do understand why you'd be irritated, but I also think you would do it to somebody too. That's my final verdict. I side with her because. she was giving you a friends and family discount. Shocked by this. I am shocked.
Starting point is 01:05:06 I mean, unless you see her three times a month, she's not your close friend and she has no obligation to give you tickets for what she bought them for. Technically,
Starting point is 01:05:15 tons of people have your phone number because we used to give it out on the air. That's right. Oh, wow. Are you going to go? I'm not paying for those tickets. I'm not paying that price. You could actually buy them
Starting point is 01:05:25 and then sell them back for way more even if you didn't want to go. I don't know what you're not thinking that level. Clever. That's a businessman level right there. And I thought you were a businessman. I'm a businessman making a business deal. Like I'll buy them from her and then I'll resell them make some money off of it.
Starting point is 01:05:38 She wouldn't give you the discount. Well, I don't know if she would or not, but she could say that it's you. And I would give you an extra hundred bucks to be in the broker and then I would sell them all. Now he's mad he didn't think of that. Yeah, I am. I'm sorry that happened, dude. I mean, that was rude. We heard you begging the promotion staff for tickets.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Oh, I heard them loud and clear. Hey. That's a nice shirt. That's a cute jeans you got on. So you got any Taylor tickets? Didn't say anything about Taylor tickets. Yeah, you did. No, I didn't.
Starting point is 01:06:05 You said, are you ready for Taylor weekend? I am too. You're priming to pump, buddy. I said, I don't have tickets, though. I got nowhere to go, I guess. I said, happy Taylor Week, ladies. Sorry that happened. I hope it works out for you.
Starting point is 01:06:21 In just a second in the news, something is going to prime video, stream. It's a movie. I can't believe it's going there so fast. It's so good. I just can't believe it's already going to be there. So we'll talk about that. in just a second. First, I want to go over and talk to Kevin, who is in West Virginia. Kevin, what's up, buddy?
Starting point is 01:06:37 Good morning, Bobby. Good morning, studio. Morning! Hey, I love the show. Been listening to it for about four years out of here at Charleston, West Virginia, on 107.3. Y'all bring the energy every day. I know y'all are normal people and you have bad days, but, man, y'all come in and bring the energy. Everybody I talk to loves the show. you know, it's not a scripted monologue like you get on some of these stations. It's a bunch of friends sitting around having conversation in the morning and just, you know, life. It's life.
Starting point is 01:07:13 And we really appreciate it. And, you know, love to see you in person one of these days. But just wanted to call and really thank you guys for bringing it real and bringing the energy. Thanks, man. What are you cooking for dinner tonight? I don't know. Maybe we swing by. Yeah, what do you guys get going at the house tonight?
Starting point is 01:07:30 That might have some pasta. Yeah, I got ACMs coming up, so I got a little bit to stay off that. But I might have gone over. If he'd have been like grilled vegetables, gold chicken. No, seriously, Kevin, I appreciate that. Yes, you know, it is true. We don't have things scripted. And most times that goes pretty good.
Starting point is 01:07:46 Sometimes it does not go well. That's so busy, baby, when it comes to us. And just a little behind the scenes, nobody on the show really knows what we're doing as we're doing the show, except for Mike and I. Sounds like Mike and Ike. What a candy. What a movie candy, huh? But like Mike and I are the only two that know really what's coming when it's coming. So the reactions that you hear are from Amy and Eddie and Lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:08:08 And it's because I'm going, this, let's talk about this. And then they go, oh, I shall react. There are no scripts on this show. There are scripts for commercials sometimes. Or they wouldn't pay us because I would go in completely random places. But thank you. We try to do our best. Sometimes it ain't good.
Starting point is 01:08:26 Sometimes it's great. Sometimes we do segments that are terrible. but, you know, we're trying stuff. So thank you, and I hope you have a great rest of the day and a good weekend. Well, I appreciate it. Hey, Brad Paisley's in West Virginia. He's shooting a video this week in Fayetteville. I know he's not from Fayetteville, but he's here in West Virginia.
Starting point is 01:08:44 I knew that, actually. Oh, how? It doesn't matter how, but I just had a little conversation yesterday, and I knew Brad was over there right now. Yeah, that's real cool if you see him. Tell him lunchbox says what's up. All right. Hey, more Abby.
Starting point is 01:08:57 We need more Abby on the show. Oh. Now he lost all credibility. Okay. Thank you, Kevin. We appreciate that. Have a good day. All right.
Starting point is 01:09:08 All right. Did he say Abby told me to say that? Abby told me to say that. No, we don't know that he said that. No, we don't know that he said that. Oh, maybe he said Abby didn't tell me to say that. That's probably what it was. Got it.
Starting point is 01:09:20 What did we found out Abby was doing that? Hilarious. All right, time for the news. Bobby's big. Stories. Nicholas Cage thinks that he remembers being in his mom's womb. Okay. I told you, I have a friend that thinks he remembers coming out
Starting point is 01:09:36 and seeing life for the first time. Ridiculous. Of the birth canal. Some people claim they can remember, you know, a first vacation with a family. They can remember if they got baptized real like four or five years old. But Nicholas Cage says he was in the womb and he can go back to in utero and he can see the faces. Okay. He thinks he relives that in his brain, so therefore it becomes his memory and he thinks that it's happened.
Starting point is 01:10:05 I just had this conversation on our show, 25 whistles, where we're talking about the Michael Jordan flu game. And I've just seen it so many times that I'm like, yeah, I've seen it. Then I've started to go, did I really watch it live? Or have I just seen so many clips of it that I feel like I will? Because we can do that. We can tell a story so many times that all of a sudden it feels real. I don't believe Nicholas Cage remembers being inside his mom's blue. but I can't prove he
Starting point is 01:10:29 can't prove he doesn't. Okay. Also I want to say this. This is a little personal announcement here because I do know that this information is being dropped later today. And it actually is coming out in the form of a press release.
Starting point is 01:10:41 And here it is. I, Bobby Bones, very excited to be joining the ACM Awards that show is next Thursday night. It is on Amazon Prime, but you don't have to have an account to watch it. Oh, that's cool. You can watch it for free
Starting point is 01:10:56 over on Amazon, which is great this year. Because last year I was just a year for a prime member, subscriber, and I do have Amazon Prime. But this year, you don't have to have that, and you can watch the ACM Awards. Yeah, it's great for people that don't have it. Otherwise, they're like,
Starting point is 01:11:11 I don't want to pay just for one thing. So, that's the deal. It is free May 11th at 7 Easterns at 7. That's 6. Central, if you do the math, five mountains, four Pacific. on Prime Video. So I will be basically Garth and Dolly's sidekick. Wow.
Starting point is 01:11:32 I'm doing a segment during the show called Backstage with Bobby Bones, honestly. And so something will happen, and I'll grab the person and we'll have a little talk right there. Oh, fun. That's awesome, dude. Yeah, it is pretty cool. I'm happy they're allowing me to do. Oh, yes, thank you one clap. Well, there's already a clapping bed going on.
Starting point is 01:11:50 Oh, that's true. I didn't know Ray had a clapping music. Yeah, yeah. But I'm very excited about it. And that'll be next Thursday. let's go let's hope I don't screw it up I don't think I will You'll be good
Starting point is 01:12:01 We screw up everything so it's normal When I screw something up It's not screwing it up But I'm very excited about that And in the pre-show Which I don't think is aired They've asked me to come out And do some stand-up
Starting point is 01:12:11 To the crowd And to the artist that are there Hey you've already written Well I can't do that one I can do that I told them too I was like You know you got to worry about
Starting point is 01:12:21 I ain't gonna go out And go full roasty-boasty on it If I were hosting it would be different But like recently I did a show with Jimmy Allen. It was called Celebrity Game Face. And I don't really promote it because it wasn't about me. I promoted a little bit on my socials. But it was Jimmy's show.
Starting point is 01:12:36 They invited celebrities on. It was like Jimmy versus Kurt Bush versus. Thank you. Yeah. I didn't know who it was. I think they're brothers. I asked him. I was like, dude, are you rich?
Starting point is 01:12:45 I don't know who he was. We were all linked up on. I was like, are you rich? Like, what do you do for a living? And he thought I was kidding. And he was like, I don't know. I don't know. I mean, you now work around cars.
Starting point is 01:12:54 And I said, how many cars? How far lots do you have? And I didn't realize until later it was the Bush guy. He's a NASCAR who has like millions and millions of dollars. So, but I was Jimmy, they get to invite a friend on. That wasn't my show to go in and be the big character. I was just there to help Jimmy. We won the show. We beat everybody.
Starting point is 01:13:08 It's a trivia game too. I'm pretty good at. So people were like, why weren't you like way into it and funny? I was the friend that was brought on. Try to set Jimmy up to be the star, but that's why that was. and also I had dental surgery that morning. Oh, no. Not that that affected that, but I could see at times,
Starting point is 01:13:29 you could see me holding my face and doing it. I know I was doing that. But, yeah, that's why. There's no big personality for me. I was just there as a sidekick. On this show, I'm going to be a little more than that because I have my own segments. But I'm like Dolly and Guard's sidekick there.
Starting point is 01:13:44 Okay, so that's happening next Thursday. Please watch it. And moving on with the news. Ben Affleck's air hits Prime Video. a week from tomorrow. Oh, wow. Okay, sign up for that. You can watch the ACMs, and the next day watch air. But you have to pay.
Starting point is 01:14:02 For air. Listen, that movie is so good. It's about Nike, Michael Jordan. It's about how Ben Affleck's in it, but he doesn't play the main, main guy. And Matt Damon, right? Matt Damon plays the main man guy. And then Jason Bateman's in it. Oh, he's really good.
Starting point is 01:14:20 Oh, man. It's such a good movie that I went to the theater. I told you that. So it was only going to be streaming only that movie, but they believed in it so much. They put it in theaters. It was an Amazon movie in theaters. So it was awesome. So it's coming out Thursday into Friday.
Starting point is 01:14:33 Chris Tucker's in it from Rush Hour. I remember him. Yeah. He's in it as one of the Nike guys too. Sweet Tooth renewed for a third season and a final season at Netflix. I'd ask you guys during the break if you're watching it. I watch another episode last night. I love Sweet Tooth on Netflix.
Starting point is 01:14:49 It's a little bizarre because it's about, what, what they call hybrids. There's like a virus. And these kids are born as like hybrids, half human, half animal. And they're trying to figure it out. And at times it's a little like, okay. But it's so good that if you can get past the kids and animals mixed.
Starting point is 01:15:11 Hybrid people. It's not a documentary. But also hearing you say that it's a potential virus or whatever, that helps that situation. Because my brain immediately goes to. Well, there's a. virus has killed a lot of the people. And so at the same time, they're trying to, they think the hybrids have, are created the virus.
Starting point is 01:15:29 I still don't know if they ever haven't, and I'm in season two. It's so good. I love that show, Sweet, too. My wife and I watched it again last night. That's our show right now. Oh, that's, uh, sweet, I don't want to tell anything else about it. It's good. That's from screencrunch.com, but they're coming back for one more season, season three.
Starting point is 01:15:45 Researchers find that AI can read your mind about half the time. At the University of Texas, Austin, they have successfully created an art. artificial intelligence system that can translate a person's brain activity into actual language. This non-invasive procedure uses an fMRI scanner with a decoder to transcribe a person's thoughts. First, the test subject listens to hours of podcasts inside the scanner. What if they got in? It was all Bobby Bone Show. That's funny. Then they think up a story in their imagination.
Starting point is 01:16:16 Then they're shown a silent video clip. This allows the machine to generate corresponding text from brain activity alone. Because they've put the brain through all these motions, hearing, thinking, seeing, feeling. And then, after all that, the person's thoughts are able to be read via waves by the AI machine. You know what's going to happen eventually. And this story's in the New York Post. Is these things going to be so good? You're going to go to court.
Starting point is 01:16:40 You're going to go to trial. They're going to go. Did you do it? Brain machine on. Look, all signs indicate, yes. He also did this. And that's how people are going to go to jail. The head guy that was running Google AI quit because he's like, this is too dangerous.
Starting point is 01:16:57 Oh, yeah, I saw that. We don't even really know what's being used bad for, though. Like, we have no idea. I like it because I hear Kanye do country songs. And I did that was great for people. I like that. And I heard Notorious B.I.G do an old NWA song. They're like, this is what if he, it's like riding down the street and my six.
Starting point is 01:17:17 And it was big you doing it? Wow. It was like, dang, that's really cool. A passenger allegedly punches a United Airlines employee before a flight. A new video appears to show a united passenger hitting a flight attendant before a flight from San Francisco to Houston. The woman who recorded it says the man got angry when she asked his wife and then him to move out of their seat. The passenger punched repeatedly. Other passengers reached to stop him.
Starting point is 01:17:44 This is the passenger Naya Jimenez who shot the video. Now, this is a clip from the news story. She's talking about what she saw, et cetera. Here you go. He says the man was angry because she asked his wife. and then him to move out of her assigned seat. They had to bring in a gate attendant from outside of the plane to come and try to talk to both of them.
Starting point is 01:18:04 The man nearly jumped out of the plane. After he paused for a minute, he ran towards where the pilot area is, where the emergency exit doors are and attempted to open it successfully. Open the emergency exit. Was it about to jump down and the plane is elevated, right?
Starting point is 01:18:21 So he would have flown apparently two stories to the ground. Anybody that's throwing a punch for any reason on a plane, you should not fly on that plane for at least on any plane. Any plane. For 18 months. Ooh, I would say forever. Not forever. I'll do forever. I want to do 18 months.
Starting point is 01:18:38 That's the first offense because that's a lot. Punching a flight attendant is it's not forever? I mean, that's a big move. It is a big move. Okay, how about this? 18 months and they also can't jump in the air. Their feet. Like no jumping.
Starting point is 01:18:53 You can't get any high at all. I would add in 18 months. You can't jump. And anger management. And no monkey bars. Because that's a way to get around it because you're still holding on to something. No monkey bars because your feet are high there too. Dang.
Starting point is 01:19:10 18 months. But then after that, it's forever. That's the news. Bodies. Stories. A win is a win. A win. I don't care what you're saying.
Starting point is 01:19:23 Yep. That's me. Clipper Taylor the 4th. You might have seen this. The skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Starting point is 01:20:25 rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield. And in this new season of the girlfriends, oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this have had to be. happened to me. The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 01:21:17 What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Vodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Farrell. Woo. Woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with him one day. And I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings.
Starting point is 01:21:45 I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Starting point is 01:22:16 Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Eddie was talking about his son and his son had to take the written driver's test Eddie said he would have trouble
Starting point is 01:22:35 passing that driver's test himself the fact you were the proctor and they allowed that it just seems... Yeah man. So wrong and you didn't. I did not cheat. You're a man of integrity. Hey, I swear to the highest power, I did not cheat. Bob Pittman? Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 01:22:48 Okay. The guy you played golf with. Sure. Rich wrestler. So we pulled some questions from the real driver's test. Let's see who on the show would pass or fail the written point. to pass the test, you've got to get 8 out of 10.
Starting point is 01:23:02 Like if we were to do this as the actual test. Oh, wow, man. Yeah. Eight out of 10. Exactly. Question number one, write your answer down, everybody. Yep. What should you do if you're driving and an emergency vehicle is approaching with sirens and lights?
Starting point is 01:23:23 In. You don't have to write the whole, whole, whole thing. Oh. Yeah, the biography of the car. Henry Ford. I don't know. I'm in. You don't need the speed.
Starting point is 01:23:36 Yeah, yeah. Uh, Amy. Uh, pull over and stop and wait for it to pass. Lunchbox? Pull over the side of the road. Eddie? I wrote stop and pull over. That's all right.
Starting point is 01:23:47 Good. We got to pull over, then stop. Well, that depends who you are. Or jump out of the car and run. Yeah, speed up. Beat it. Uh, number two, what does a flashing red light and traffic mean? A flashing red light in traffic.
Starting point is 01:24:03 In. In? I'm in. Amy. You treat it like a stop sign. Lunchbox? It turns into a stop sign. It turns into one if you watch it long enough?
Starting point is 01:24:21 Really? Like a transformer? Eddie? Stop and wait until it's your turn. Yeah, stop and proceed with caution, stop sign. All good. Accept it. Two.
Starting point is 01:24:30 By the way, whoever loses gets a license cut up. Oh. Right here on the air. Number three. What does a solid yellow line on the road mean? Solid yellow. There's one? Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 01:24:47 Okay. All right. I'll put that. Color means something. Amy? No passing. Lunchbox? No passing.
Starting point is 01:25:00 Eddie? Don't pass. Yeah, no passing allowed. Woo! There are two as well. I think it's one for each side. Okay, but also sometimes... And then also in the middle of the...
Starting point is 01:25:07 I've never seen one on the middle of two. Who cares? I feel like sometimes they're white, so I didn't know the yellow was throwing me. You know, and I can't see very well. When it rains, it's actually at night, I can see nothing. thing and they let me drive. Oh, no. I'm just kind of guessing.
Starting point is 01:25:20 Don't say that out loud. I know. We're not on the air. Okay. Next up. What should you do if you're involved in a minor fender bender? The key is minor. What should you do if you're involved in a minor fender bender?
Starting point is 01:25:35 Do you have insurance or not? That's a fair question. Gosh, minor. There's so many different ways to handle this. Are there? are there not according to this let's see let me see yeah because do they want to handle it on the side
Starting point is 01:25:55 everybody good okay fine Amy I do not do this but you call the police okay lunchbox you have to pull off the road and then wait for the people Eddie if it steers it clears move off the road
Starting point is 01:26:09 I'm not going to give that to any of you what if you're in a fenderment well because what you do is you do move your vehicle off the road but then you exchange insurance information and if it's minor you can leave oh no we didn't get to that part I think we eventually would a river and all that down. I just can't give that to you because you didn't say that part. But that's what I
Starting point is 01:26:25 do, but then the other day when I had a minor... I'm a proctor of the test. I can't give it to you guys as a point. Hey, I respect that. Thank you. You didn't say it all. I have the answer here. We don't deviate from that. So we all missed one. Thanks. You mostly had the idea, but... Yeah. So we're
Starting point is 01:26:41 all one away from getting our license cut? Yeah. Okay. Uh-oh. What should you do if your vehicle starts to skid? Ooh. I'm in. Oh. Are you good job Skid
Starting point is 01:26:54 I'm in There's a couple of maneuvers No you're already in with confidence Relax Maneuvers What should you do if your vehicle Starts to skid Everybody good?
Starting point is 01:27:14 Yeah I think so Amy Well you have to Have both hands on the wheel Don't say pray Close your eyes Jesus take the wheel Yes
Starting point is 01:27:23 So and then you're you tap the brakes. Lunchbox. You got to tap the brakes. Eddie. Just let off the gas. Don't tap the brakes. No.
Starting point is 01:27:32 You're all wrong and you all just get into a wall or a tree or something. What do we do? Don't look. No. If you're skidding, you have to, and I've learned this the hard way, you have to turn your wheel towards the skid because it keeps it from turning around. See, I knew that. But if you guys not like doing notes.
Starting point is 01:27:48 If you're skidding, breaks aren't really going to help you because that's why you're already skidding. You can try a tapy tap. But for the most part, if you're on ice, those breaks ain't helping. That tapy tap's not working. You're just trying to turn the way the skid so it kind of evens itself out. Oh, you didn't say ice. Yeah, anyway, it could be anything.
Starting point is 01:28:09 That threw me off, the ice. Right. Yeah, the ice really messed me on. I didn't say ice. It literally could be anything. I was picturing wet. It could be water too. Oil.
Starting point is 01:28:16 It could be an oil spill, Amy, on the road. Okay, so we missed two. It can be Mario Kart and you hit the oil spill that someone left behind. Okay. Also, did you know that, like, if you're, You're, say you are skidding and you're like, there's an electric pole or something. You're like, I don't want to hit the pole. I don't want to hit the pole.
Starting point is 01:28:32 Don't look at the pole. Like you're like, I need to avoid that pole so you're looking at it to try to avoid it. Race car drivers say. Never mind. Moving on. I'm better to do this. No, no, no. They're in an accident.
Starting point is 01:28:43 They're like, I don't look at the pole. I looked at my shoes. And then I, no. No. Okay, fine. Fine. Someone can verify this call in. What two things should you do if you're driving and a dust storm approaches?
Starting point is 01:28:54 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What? Oh, man. What two things? You know, I probably could say this to about a really bad thunderstorm, like rainstorm. But you can't see. What two things should you do? What two things should you do?
Starting point is 01:29:08 First thing, don't look in the dust storm, apparently. Yeah, do you look somewhere else. These are the answers you'd have to put if you're going to pass a test, guys. Don't be mad at me. I'm in. Amen. Man, that's two things. I got two things down.
Starting point is 01:29:27 Lunchbox. Put your hazards on and pull over. Amy. Slow way down. because I don't know how bad the storm is and put on your hazards. Eddie? Stop and pull over under a bridge.
Starting point is 01:29:39 What is there's no bridge? Find that bridge. Where's your second thing? What if there's not a bridge anywhere to be found? You got to find it. Amy, you missed it. Eddie, you missed it although you were close. And lunch, watch, I'll accept hazards for lights,
Starting point is 01:29:51 but you pull off the road and you turn on your lights. But I say hazards slowly down. You never said stop the car. You're just like driving eight miles an hour. That's dangerous, Amy. Who! Someone's over here driving away.
Starting point is 01:30:02 with this one. That's true. You're one up. Okay. What should you do if you're driving in heavy fog? I'm in. I don't take you guys as confidence anymore as that you have it. Usually I do. I'm like, wow,
Starting point is 01:30:18 they got that one. No, not anymore. It seems like all these answers are just pull over. Yes. When something bad is happening, you should pull over. Amy's like, I just keep going. Pull over, Amy, is like the C in multiple choice. Just write it down.
Starting point is 01:30:33 Heavy fog. Got it. Boom. What should you do if you're in heavy fog? Shoot, I can't remember if it's the opposite. Yeah. Drive and reverse. Turn around, drive and reverse the whole way.
Starting point is 01:30:45 Because the fog's not in front of you. It's behind you. Just pick C, Amy. Okay. Don't look at the pole. That's a, this is a real thing. Absolutely. Don't look at the edge.
Starting point is 01:30:57 Okay, whatever. You look the other way. What's that movie where she turns her head around backwards? Oh yeah, yeah. You learn to do the exorcist move. Are you good? I'm there. Okay, Amy?
Starting point is 01:31:09 Put on your brights. Okay. And did that it? And then pull over. Pull over and put on your brights. Okay. Pull over. Low beams.
Starting point is 01:31:17 Oh, it's the opposite. I knew it. Yeah, you got to the low beams. Lunchbox. Turn on your lights and lower your speed. I'm gonna. Eish. Eish.
Starting point is 01:31:28 Yeah. I'm gonna give it to Eddie and lunchbox both. It is usual. low beams and then slow down. I forgot the slow down part. But you did say beams and lunchbox just said it. Anyway, whatever the case is, it doesn't matter. You both get that point. It is specifically low beam.
Starting point is 01:31:46 Yeah. Together lunch, we would have been good in the fog. I nailed it. Turn on your lights. Well, no, lights, so it's beams. Low beams, not high. I didn't say, I call them brights. I say turn on your brights. So lights is low and brights is low. You turn on your light. You turn on your car lights and you turn on your brights.
Starting point is 01:32:02 what he's saying. Yeah, but I don't know that and that's not the test answer. That's how I would have answered it. And you got the point. I know, that's how I'm talking to the garage. Hey, it's tough being a proctor in it, dude. Dude, there'll be a proctologist and a proctor. Two different things. Yes. Next up, what's the purpose of a rumble strip? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:18 Okay, I'm in. I'm in. Lunchy? Oh, yeah. Amy? To wake you up. I think that's a good answer. I think that somebody is really using their personal experiences in this. Eddie?
Starting point is 01:32:44 Yeah, I put wake you up. Get your attention. That's why I didn't laugh at Amy's answer. It's like, br-r-r-oh. What you got, babe? Go ahead, babe. Go ahead, babe. Wake you up so you don't go off the road.
Starting point is 01:33:03 You know, that's got to be right. It is. It's not specifically wake you up, because it could be a lot of things. You could be like talking to somebody in the other sea, looking at the kids in the back, mess with the radio, could be falling asleep. It's to alert drivers, they're veering off the road a little bit or into another lane. Right. To wake you up.
Starting point is 01:33:19 Okay, you all were so kind of right. I'll give it to you. All right. Let's go. All right, one more question. What does a white painted curb mean? This one's worth five points. White painted curve.
Starting point is 01:33:34 What is a white? This is the hardest one. What is a white? Never seen it. Painted cur. Yeah, you have everywhere. Oh, I know. New tenant park.
Starting point is 01:33:45 For five point. New tenant park. Oh, that's good. That's good, lunch. That is funny. You see that a lot. That is funny, funny, funny. I'm in.
Starting point is 01:33:56 Just don't look at it when you park, right? Just look anywhere, but it. I'm sure you're right, but I'm saying that wasn't the answer. Mm-hmm. Yeah. It just sounds funny when you say, don't look at the pole, look elsewhere. Yeah. If you look at the pole, then you're likely going to hit the pole.
Starting point is 01:34:11 So like when you're going for a walk, are you not supposed to look at the thing in front of you? No, no, no. This is if you're out of it. Amy, I agree with you, by the way. It just went out the answer to that question. I know. It's sometimes, I saw this whole YouTube about it. I'm not arguing with you that you wrong.
Starting point is 01:34:24 Like people that are in a fast portion, they're going like 100 miles an hour. A lot of times you hear, well, somehow they hit a pole. They must have been looking at the grass. No, they were like, shoot, they lost control. And they're like, I don't want to hit the pole. Oh, they're changing? All right, guys, I need an answer here. I'm in.
Starting point is 01:34:39 What does a white painted curb mean for five points? Amy. Delivery drop zone, don't block. Lunchbox. Loading zone Eddie Fire hydrant Eddie you lose
Starting point is 01:34:50 The answer is loading and unloading only I'll give it to both I'll give it to both of you Let me that Yes Does delivery drivers know that With the five point lead Lunchbox
Starting point is 01:35:02 Yeah five Amy ends up with nine Lunchbox ends up at 11 Eddie you've failed the test You only got five And he was the proxy Who wants to pick me up tomorrow Proxy
Starting point is 01:35:13 That counts too right Proxy is like you vote. You have a clock. Yeah, yeah. Anyway, here. Nice job, lunchbox. You're our winner. Nice job, guys.
Starting point is 01:35:35 I'm proud of you all. You did a great job. We only did nine. We didn't do Tim. We ran out of time. And also, he just won. What are you going to say? What are you going to say?
Starting point is 01:35:44 Nothing? I'm going to say anything. Hey, Kat, got your tongue? I don't say anything. Babe, good job. Good job, babe. All right. We're going to come back.
Starting point is 01:35:50 Hold on. Let's go over and talk to Ken and Clayton, New Jersey, who's been holding patiently. And I appreciate that, Ken. Ken, what's going on, buddy? Well, actually, it's Clayton, North Carolina. Oh. But I was calling to back up Abby.
Starting point is 01:36:09 Because what Lunchbox did with Abby's phone is actually illegal. He's done an invasion of privacy. And the only way you could have read that message is if he's got her password to get into it. Well, he did not have her password, but he took a, he went, she left her phone. somewhere and he turned he hit the button to turn it on no no because it had to light up no no it lit up when the text message came through so i just took a picture that's it some people have notifications that pop up on their lock screen like it was lock screen didn't read the message it said new message from nathan it's still creepy that you took a picture of her phone to see the message and then
Starting point is 01:36:47 then you gave it to me to be like hey let's talk about this yeah and i wouldn't i had abby look at it before i even addressed it people think we just go hard and go like we're gonna reveal everybody's medical diagnosis and diseases. We don't. I kind of have to be the judge on, I don't think we should do this on spill the tea, but before anybody else knows. So with Abby, I said, Abby, come look at this, please. Is this too much on the air?
Starting point is 01:37:12 And she said, oh, it's not true. And then she addressed it. But the issue is somebody's phone was laying here and you just took a picture of it and then tried to share it with everybody. It's not anybody's business. It's on her phone. And present that she's dating Nate Smith when she's not. Abby, were you in Nate Smith?
Starting point is 01:37:28 show last? I don't know. Hold on. I'm not saying anything. All I'm going is I was on Abby's Instagram story and I saw her like side stage at Nate Smith's show. Side stage. And all I was thinking was I would have liked to. I would have liked to have been there.
Starting point is 01:37:43 Wonder she just texted them to get back there. Abby, what's up? How was that? Were you not invited? Probably. I mean, I think the label sent out. Oh, got it. I don't go to anything.
Starting point is 01:37:51 Yeah. Because I go to bed way too early and. It was an album release, like party. Cool. So. Cool. Like the debut album I did not see him
Starting point is 01:38:01 I didn't get to say hi or anything Cool If you did that have been great Nope I didn't get to see him And lunchbox took a picture of Abby's phone There were some texts From somebody named Nathan
Starting point is 01:38:09 And he was like I told you 20 minutes after Nate Smith was in here Nathan starts texting It's like I don't think you would say Nate is Nathan I don't know him as Nathan I talked to him all the
Starting point is 01:38:19 But if she's dating him She takes his real name She said she's not dating him Well now she says that Now that she's been busted And then she goes to the show On a Wednesday She said she didn't even talk to him.
Starting point is 01:38:30 Okay, because he's busy. I'll just see it home. If I was dating somebody and I went to their album premiere, I would for sure talk to them for a little bit. But how do we know if she talked to him? We weren't there. I just, I don't understand why you think I'm dating him.
Starting point is 01:38:41 Like, I interviewed him on Bobby Cass. I'm, like, proud of where he is now. It's probably the crush that you had on him. Yes. But that's it. There was some crush. There was. There was absolutely no crush.
Starting point is 01:38:51 No, we can see it. But not anymore. Even I can see the crush. But only she's the one that can claim there was a crush. Yeah, I mean, okay. I know. What? Okay, Abby, no crush.
Starting point is 01:38:59 I'm with you. No crush. Well, that was quick. Thank you. Good job, Bobby. But here's the thing. This guy told me it's illegal. Get out of here.
Starting point is 01:39:08 She says no crush and I got to believe that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You should. Yes, thank you. Anyway, you did not get into her phone. I did nothing. But what I didn't like was you took a picture of her phone and the messages on it and sent it to me. But if you're going to do it, I'll send it to me.
Starting point is 01:39:23 I like that. But don't do it. Don't do it. That's an infringement. privacy. I just looked it up. Are you going to press charges? No. Okay. Abby, thank you. I'm very sorry this has happened to you. You are A plus. When I do the commercials for stamps.com and I talk about people that make a difference behind the scenes because that's what, you know, stamps.com does. I always mention you. Did you know that?
Starting point is 01:39:44 I heard that on one. It was really cool. And I mean it. You are such a valuable part of this show. And for our listeners who are like, they pick on Abby. Lunchbox does out of nowhere sometimes, which I don't even know what's coming. And I'm like, how's the weather today? And lunch is like stupid like Abby. And I'm like, wait, that's not how. But other than that, you are so valuable to me on this show and in other places that we work together. And I hope I can tell you that off the air. And I hope that I want to tell you that on the air, okay? Yes. And if I'm ever going over the line, I try not to, you just let me know off the air. Okay.
Starting point is 01:40:17 Okay. You make up for his meanness. Do you feel like I do a decent job at communicating because I've tried to be a lot more communicative over the last years at. at either my appreciation or non-appreciation of things? Yes, I do. Okay. Thank you for saying that. For sure.
Starting point is 01:40:33 Even if you're lying, thank you. No, I really do. All right, Abby. Have a good day. Okay. You do. Like she's going home. See, Abby.
Starting point is 01:40:40 Bye. We had taco bowls last night. Like with a big shell bowl? My wife can make a taco bowl. And she doesn't make a big deal about it. It's easy. And it probably, I don't know if it is or not. She makes a taco bowl.
Starting point is 01:40:53 It's got meat, beef. Oh, yeah. Ground beef? Yeah. Ground perfect. Like some little tomato thing she puts in it. See, I don't know what she does. It just tastes good.
Starting point is 01:41:03 And then there's like some cheese stuff to it. Yeah. And it's like a cheese that's a mix. Like a blend? Yeah. It's like white cheese and yellow cheese. It's called Mexican blend. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:13 They sell up the store. Absolutely. It's in a bag. But she buys the bag. And then she gets this sioux shells. Oh yeah, yeah. And there's some cauliflower rice. And I hate it.

Starting point is 01:43:09 This story comes us from Phoenix, Arizona. A woman was traveling through the airport going through security and they're like, oh, man, I'm sorry you can't bring any liquids through. She goes, no, no, that's my apple juice. That's not a liquid. They said, ma'am, I understand that we get to pour all liquids out or throw it away. She became upset, attacked three of them, injuring them.
Starting point is 01:43:28 She attacked the people? The TSA agents because they took her apple juice. Oh, no. Well, apple... I don't know. I'm not a scientist. Think it's a liquid? I do think it's a liquid.
Starting point is 01:43:39 You know, my wife got into an issue with some of her friends because her friend had breast milk and they were like, you cannot bring it through. and she was like, I have to bring it through and breast milk is allowed to come through. Which, they were in Mexico or something. Oh, oh. And then I thought they were going to get detained in Mexico because they were like, no, it's breast milk. She has to take her breast milk through.
Starting point is 01:44:01 Is breast milk allowed? Yes, breast milk is allowed. I got into it with a guy in the Las Vegas airport because my wife and I went to Vegas and she was pumping and saving the milk and we brought it. And the guy was like, man, you know when you bring this through it makes my job really difficult.
Starting point is 01:44:16 You're like, it's... And we're like, I understand. And he goes, If you're producing this much, there's no need to save it. My wife said, he's a doctor too. Oh, dang. Yeah. Lactologist.
Starting point is 01:44:24 Wow. Wow. So, but it is, right? It is legal. It's legal. I thought they were going to get trapped in Mexico because our friend was like, say, it's what you do. You pump it. You have it.
Starting point is 01:44:35 And they were like, you cannot go through. I thought this was going to be where they attacked the person. Oh, I was about to attack the dude. And I was like, and he goes, I'm going to have to go over to this special machine. And we held up the whole line. But we sat there. and he was so annoyed. I felt that.
Starting point is 01:44:50 Good for you, buddy. That's liquid, too. Can you just say anything with breast milk, though? Could you walk through it? Let's say you had, I don't know, applesauce. No. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:45:02 Breast milk is what they call it liquid gold. That's what I'm saying, though. Yeah. Prove my apple sauce is... It's a little chunky. A little chunky. Hey, everybody's different. Everybody's body's different.
Starting point is 01:45:12 All right, lunchbox. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. This is Meredith from Virginia on the voicemail line. My son Michael is 16 and we bought him a car and he's going to start driving to school without me and this Friday will be our last morning tradition together. Y'all have made us laugh and even helped sometimes grumpy silent mornings better.
Starting point is 01:45:33 Friday dance parties are our thing and even though I've been known to embarrass him when a throwback song comes on, it always starts our Fridays off with a smile. So I just wanted to say thanks so much for helping a mom make memories with her son. That's awesome. Thanks for that. That's really cool. And he's going to be driving at 16. Amy's dealing with that right now.
Starting point is 01:45:51 Her daughter's driving to 16. Yeah, but not alone. Not yet. Oh, really? I thought she was driving to school by herself. No, she drives still with people. So she has her permit and has taken that test, but she hasn't gotten the official license yet.
Starting point is 01:46:06 Because that's a whole other test. Thought she had her license. She needs to get the program. Yeah, I know, but some of these kids, they're not motivated for some reason. Kick him in the butt. Right. Literally.
Starting point is 01:46:17 Just pick him in the butt. Thank you, Meredith. Thank you for that very nice compliment. We love that. Okay. Goodbye, everybody. Bobby Bones. A win is a win.
