Starting point is 00:02:08 You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. My husband has been wanting to get a motorcycle for a while now and pretty much won't stop talking about the motorcycle. Don't get me wrong. I've written on motorcycles. They're a lot of fun. However, now that we have a daughter, it terrifies me that he could get hurt. I understand just riding in a car is risky, but I feel the risk increases
Starting point is 00:02:34 with a motorcycle. I told him I'm not really thrilled about the idea anymore. He told me it doesn't matter because he's getting one. Yeah, good answer, dude. Anyway, that's not the, I mean. Can't do that. I give up in the middle of an email. Just can't finish it.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Let me finish it. I told him I'm not really thrilled about this idea anymore, and he told me it doesn't matter. He's getting one anyway, and I shouldn't be trying to hold him back from things he wants to do. This conversation has caused many arguments. And I just can't seem to look at the idea of getting a motorcycle is a good idea.
Starting point is 00:03:06 He thinks of being overdramatic, and having a child now shouldn't matter. Do I give in? Am I overthinking it? No motorcycle Michelle. That part where he said he's going to get it regardless. He may feel that way, but he shouldn't say that. You can't do that, man. Yeah, I've said stupid things like that too.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Like, I'm just going to do it anyway. I regret every time I've ever done that. Yeah, how did that go? Never good. Never good. Not even once. Like, not even, you would think if you're just playing the odds, occasionally you get lucky or occasionally.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Never once. Even if I think it now, I strategically find a way. But I never go, screw it, I'm doing it anyway. I've been there. It's not a good thing. We've all done that, right? Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:48 Okay. As far as a motorcycle goes, is it riskier than a car? Yes. Yes. 100%. Should your child affect how you feel about your day-to-day risk-taking? Yes. I agree with that.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Should he be allowed to have a motorcycle? Yes. Yes. He should be allowed. Yes. And what do you mean allowed, guys? I think if you can afford it, this is my take here, I think if you can afford it, and there are certain restrictions, rules.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Then there also will be allowances where, hey, don't drive it on the interstate. Don't, A, B, C, D.E, F, D. Take it on close roads, dirt road. I don't know. You can ride around the neighborhood. Just treat him like a teenager. You can't leave the street here. And I don't want to say what the restrictions are and what the allowances should be.
Starting point is 00:04:40 But if he is dead set on it, you can actually use this in a negotiation. What do you want? There we go. What do you want from him? What time do you want from him? She wants her husband to be alive. Yeah. Okay, great.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Then he eats better food and lives longer life. Exercise. He eats more broccoli. Yeah. So I would let him get the motorcycle because he's going to resent it if not. Now I'm saying if the financial situation is fine. I would let him get the motorcycle. I would create some boundaries on how fast he can go, on where he can go,
Starting point is 00:05:11 but he still gets the motorcycle. And I would also put in the negotiation something that's very, very important to you because you need to get something out of this as well. But I think he probably should get the motorcycle. What's that thing you put on a car to where it can? A governor. Governor. You put a governor on it.
Starting point is 00:05:27 You don't want to do that. What? And you can't even monitor how fast he really goes. You can on the Life 360 app. I know. He's an adult. He can figure how to get around that. You can see how fast.
Starting point is 00:05:35 So a motorcycle, I don't want one. I'm scared of them. No way. I mean, when you're driving, you got to watch for yourself. You've got to watch for other cars. But mostly, you just got to pay attention to what you're doing. Maybe he has to take extra safety courses. On a motorcycle, you've got to watch everything all the time.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Yeah, everywhere. Because even if you do everything right and somebody else does something wrong, you lose. Yep. So we're not saying there's not risks in motorcycles, but I think he should be able to get one, but you should also be able to get something's important to you. Lunchbox? This is why you keep your finances separate. That way he doesn't need to ask for permission.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Maybe there are. They're not saying that. It's not about finances. It's not about finances at all. Right. That's what I'm saying. Like, hey, man. I don't say you can go buy a dress.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Like, if you want to buy a dress by a dress. A dress. A dress isn't dangerous. She's talking about life. Yeah, so a dress is dangerous. Could get caught in the escalator. I mean, I don't tell you what to wear. I don't tell you you can't go buy a dress.
Starting point is 00:06:26 If I want to go buy a motorcycle with my money, I'm going to go buy a motorcycle with my money. This is what we just talked about. I don't want to do anymore. He's doing better at that. Do you just tell your wife, that's what's up? Yeah. Like if I want something, I go get it because guess what I got my own money, honey?
Starting point is 00:06:38 It's not about the money. Oh, boy. Like, if I want to go skydiving, guess what I do? I go skydiving. That's it. That's how life works. You don't have to ask permission. She's not my parent.
Starting point is 00:06:49 She's your spouse. Yeah, cool. She may not like it, but guess what? She'll get over it. She ain't going to divorce you. If she does, she ain't the one. Yeah, yet. Yeah, and she ain't the one because she just divorced you.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Exactly. That's interesting. That's interesting how you live your life. So pull up to the bar and your motorcycle and guess what? Another chick will hop on. Okay. Yeah, I guess so. I wish I had a little bit more of that in me.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Do you? Where it's just like the chips fall where they may, baby. Yeah. But I don't. I'm thinking five steps ahead. I definitely don't want to make Kaelin upset. I want to take it. I just don't know like I got mine, you got yours.
Starting point is 00:07:24 That's what happens. Because I don't want her doing that to me. You make each other upset and you get over it. If you don't like it, we weren't meant to be. That's the key right there. You don't want it happening to you. Like he's not thinking about her. He's thinking about him.
Starting point is 00:07:36 And you know what? If she leaves, next chick will hop on my bike. Like that's not nice for your partner, for your spouse. You got to think about that. Well, then she shouldn't leave. So I'm saying get the motorcycle. So dumb. I'm saying get the motorcycle, but I would put some restrictions.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Maybe you don't use the word restriction. We, you know, build up. An agreement. Compromises. That's it. All those words. We build up an agreement. And then she also gets something to.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Yeah. Yeah, but he's going to resent it. So lunchbox is wrong in this case? He's right, and then give him a bike. But the rest of it, I do not stand behind. All right, that's the mailback. Thank you. We've got your email and we read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:08:15 Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. There's a voicemail from Ryan. Morning studio. Sorry, I'm just enjoying me number 11 from Sonic right now. Yeah, Bobby, I was just wanting to see if we could get an update. on Lunchbox getting his own scratch-off ticket. Update!
Starting point is 00:08:37 I've been wondering, too. Breaking news! What? Breaking news. So Lunchbox wanted his own scratch-off. Hey, Scoo of Steve. Yeah. We were in talks with a few different states
Starting point is 00:08:51 because each state has their own lottery. Correct. We were trying to get Lunchbox his own scratch-off ticket. And it looked like we had a good shot at that, didn't it? It did, yes. We had a good shot up until recently. Oh, so that's dead. What happened?
Starting point is 00:09:04 Well, it's not dead. It just kind of went into a different direction. Okay. So now we have a state that is not interested in lunchbox, but is interested in you, Bobby Bones. No. That will make you more sense. No, that's not.
Starting point is 00:09:16 No, we can't do that. That makes more sense. That is so cool. Amy, shh. Oh. He don't, he doesn't even like the lottery like I do. Like, he doesn't. But they heard his passion recently when we were going into the mega millions
Starting point is 00:09:26 and saw how much he likes it. His passion. He gambles a little bit. I mean, I did a whole series on scratch-offs. He did. Yeah. I mean, lunchboxes. I mean, lunchbox, this is going to be a stepping stone for you.
Starting point is 00:09:36 They see how it goes with Bobby. No, no. Are you being serious or are you just tormenting him? No, I'm dead serious. Not even tormenting him. It just happened to be that that's what it would do to him. But there is a state out there that wants you, Bobby, for a scratcher. But what does that mean?
Starting point is 00:09:48 What do I have to give them? Well, we have to talk about that on the back end, but there's a lot of logistics to it. But basically, your face would be on the scratcher. We'd make something custom to you in your likeness with a scratcher. I will never go to that state. I'll never visit it. You've been there before, by the way. I didn't know this was happening.
Starting point is 00:10:07 That is such a cold. Is there any chance we could do like Bobby in the box? No, no, no, no. What if, what if it's... No, I mean, why are you treating him? Like, because it's a special to lunchbox. No, this is your thing.
Starting point is 00:10:20 What about bones? What about it's your lottery ticket? And if you get three lunchbox faces, you win five bucks. That's just one of the prizes. I don't know that I can, I don't, I didn't know about this. But I, what if it's like,
Starting point is 00:10:30 The buddy billion bucks with Bobby in the Box. That sounds dirty, dude. No, the buddy billion bucks with Bobby in the Box? Look at all that all that alliteration. I just came up with that off the top of my head. Yeah, but people are, when they go up to the counter, they're going to be like, I need the, but never mind. Just give me whatever.
Starting point is 00:10:50 You just go, I'll take the Bobby in the Box. And it's me and Lunchbox and our heads together. Faces. That's better than being on it. I'm so sad. But yes, I like that idea. I'll go back to that state. The Bobby in the Box billion bucks.
Starting point is 00:11:00 I think you need to pitch that. The Bobby in the box, billion bucks, Biveway. Bobby in the box. Now, if I'm not interested in lunchbox in any way, is the deal dead or should just focus on you? No, it's dead. Hold on. Ask that again, Scoba, Steve. So what I'm saying is if they're not interested in lunchbox in any way, is the deal dead or am I okay to pursue you?
Starting point is 00:11:21 Dead. I'll speak for the Bobby Box combo. I would just pitch back to them. Bobby's very interested. Okay. Him and his best bud. Bobby in the box is Billion Buck Bivaway. Bivoway.
Starting point is 00:11:36 I think, just say, say yes. I'm interested, but I'm interested in doing it with lunchbox. Box and Bobby. He's trying to get in front of you now. See? You're inviting this. I'm interested. Let's pitch at them.
Starting point is 00:11:52 I'm willing to do it. And I don't know what the details are we talking about if they put lunchbox with me. All right, cool. I cannot believe they don't want. You could be killing the whole deal here. hear about us. Okay, wait, how do they say they do not want lunchbox, then that's a different conversation. Right. But I'm not, I didn't pursue this. And I'll be in the room for that one and they will not go good. I'm not pursuing this. Correct. And I would actually like him to be a part of it,
Starting point is 00:12:14 even though they don't want them. Okay. All right. I'll see what we can do. But I want to encourage you that if it, if it does lean towards you only, you can still do it because it's not like you were trying to do this behind lunchboxes back. This just came to you this way. And you would be crazy not to have your own lottery ticket. Amy. You don't go against your teammates. I'm with it. I hope it works out for everybody.
Starting point is 00:12:36 But I mean, this is really cool. And if I do one of the things. This is how the Beatles broke up. Which one are you? I don't know their names. Exactly. You'd probably be Pete Best. Yeah, if Bobby's lottery ticket
Starting point is 00:12:50 does well, then I really think it could set you up for a lottery ticket. And that's, you have to face. Let me see what happens. Okay? Let's see what happens. happens. Bobby in the box is Buddy Billion Buck Biveaway. I think that would be
Starting point is 00:13:01 a great one. We'll see what happens. Yeah, I'm going to work on a name. No, I just named it. I don't know that it has to be Biveway. That's throwing... Hey, show biz, baby. What? It's show biz. It's time for the good news. With Bobby.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Yeah, I'll make something good. Way back in the day, The Incredible Hulk was a TV show. It was back... IMDB says 1977, so, I mean, Eddie was the only one alive. Like, you're in high school then, I think. No, no. I was. I was born in 79. I do remember that, though.
Starting point is 00:13:30 I remember it because they would show it on the TV land. Yes. And there was a guy who played the main character. Bruce Banner. That's it, the nerd version. Yes. And there was a second guy who played the Hulk, but it was just a bodybuilder guy named Lou Phrygno.
Starting point is 00:13:42 And they painted him green. And they would rip his jeans. I remember to make it look like his clothes ripped when he got bigger. So they don't do it like they do now where they're in like a suit? They just had a person? Well, now it's all CGI. Yeah, it's all fake. There's no suit.
Starting point is 00:13:55 We were just watching There's a new Hulk on TV or something And Mark wrote, I thought that they put him inside a big giant suit Well, on the Avengers, it's just graphic, like the CGI stuff. But back then it was just a dude who did bench press a little more than the other guy. And so he now is an honorary police officer in Syracuse Because apparently, even privately, he's been doing lots of cool things, saving lots of people and animals. I don't really know.
Starting point is 00:14:18 I guess he doesn't talk about it. But he's like, I'm the Hulk and I do what I can. So they made him an honorary police officer. And so that would mean, we could have like a special event. I'm a doctor, he's a cop. Oh, yeah. Honorary? You get all the honoraries together. We're not real.
Starting point is 00:14:30 We're not real. And what are you all going to do? We don't tell because all the stuff we do is behind the scenes. Honorary of interest. We're just honored to be invited. But he was a deputy in California for 17 years before he got into acting. Really? Which I did not know.
Starting point is 00:14:43 He used to compete against like Schwarzenegger. It was like Mr. Universe and stuff like that. I don't know if you won. Do you know if you want? I don't know. It was a long time ago. But he said, I wanted to be an officer again. So he's been helping him out.
Starting point is 00:14:53 So now they've made him an honest. Honorary police officer. Morgan, I know you love the Avengers and the Hulk and all that. Do you know who Lou Fregno is? Yeah, I learned about him when I watched the, like, early 2000s Hulk movie. Was he in it? No, I just was trying to find that movie, and then I found out about Luke. And I was like, I'm not going to watch the old one, but I at least know who he is. Lou Fregno was also in King of Queens.
Starting point is 00:15:17 He was the neighbor to Kevin James, and he played himself, who used to be the Incredible Hulk. And Kevin James always like, The Incredible Hulk lives next to me. Really? Yeah, it's pretty good. It's funny. All right, Lou Fregno, shout out. We're on in Syracuse, so maybe he's listening right now, saving lives. Lou Fragno, appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Call us if you like. We'd love to talk to you. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. All right, buzz in if you know the answer. And the winner wins. But the loser today has to eat a spoonful of peanut butter and mayo. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:15:48 I do like both of those things. But together? I don't know about together. It's time for Elder versus Mulberry. Yeah. Eddie, hit your button. Here we go. Morgan hit your button.
Starting point is 00:15:58 Morgan, Morgan, Morgan. Okay. Eddie's going with poo-poo-p-p-p-p-p-p-y. Yeah, that's you saying that. Morgan's going with her own name. Morgan, Morgan, Morgan. So there'll be questions directed to Eddie, elder questions, but Morgan can steal them. There'll be millennial questions that Eddie, you can also jump in and steal from Morgan.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Okay. The first question's an elder question, number one. What was Carl Winslow's profession? Poo-Pee. Petoo-Pee. Eddie. Police officer. family matters. The answer is a police officer.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Right. Did you know that, Morgan? No, I didn't. The millennial question. What was the profession of Zach and Cody's mother? Morgan. She was a maid. A cleaner. A hotel cleaner. Ooh. I'm going to go incorrect.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Ooh. What was the profession of Zach and Cody's mother on the Disney show, The Sweet Life of Zach and Cody? Okay, hold on. Context's clues here. They were in a suite, and she was the housekeeper. That's what she... No, she said made.
Starting point is 00:17:05 That's the same thing. Okay, hold on. I can't do the same thing then. She was a singer, a lounge singer. Oh, yeah, she was that too. I think she had two jobs. If we find out through research that she was a housekeeper and maid, Morgan, you'll get the point. We'll go back and look at it.
Starting point is 00:17:20 But it was my guess too. No, you guess second. Okay. Next question. Paul Stanley is a lead singer I'm going to play you this clip Go ahead
Starting point is 00:17:32 Hupu Peepee Eddie I just have to lock it in He was the lead singer of Kiss Paul Stanley is the lead singer Of what band who had their first major hit in 1975 With Rock and Roll all night Yes It is Kiss
Starting point is 00:17:45 Let's go Millennial question Here's a clip Hoopo Pee Pee coming through I don't know how to guess this because you really didn't ask anything. Incorrect. You can't stall, you're incorrect. Morgan, you heard that hook there. Brandon Flowers is the lead singer of What Band, who had their first hit in 2003 with that
Starting point is 00:18:14 song, Mr. Brightside. That's the killers. That's the killers. That's correct. Elder question, Eddie. Yeah. What American actress was well known for her workout videos in the 80s? Eddie. Jane Fonda? Correct. Final question, let's go to the millennial. Which American YouTuber and professional gamer is well known for his colored
Starting point is 00:18:42 hair and a one word online alias. He has over 18 million followers on his Twitch, making it the most followed Twitch channel. Eddie. That's marshmallow. In correct. That's an artist. Marstono is a DJ. Oh, I just took a guess. Oh my gosh. I know him. I can see him.
Starting point is 00:19:01 We'll see his name. If you miss it, that's good for us because they don't any controversy with the other question? Yeah, that's true. Jay, Jay. Ninja. Yes. Ninja. Hey, Mike, did you look up
Starting point is 00:19:13 Zach and Cody's mom? Yeah, she was never a maid. Dang, I thought she was both. You convinced me. I really did. She convinced me. Eddie with three to one. Big victory.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Wait, but that's not even the story here. That's not the story. That's not the story. Me, winning. Who cares about that? Yeah. Well, you do, because you don't have to eat the stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:33 And now, Morgan will. A spoonful. Are you gonna puke? I don't know. I hope not. Of peanut butter and mayonnaise. Oh, no. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:19:41 I hate both of those. I was gonna say you don't like either one of these. Eat it. Do I just have to eat the whole thing? Oh my gosh. Eat it. Oh my goodness. Oh, it's crunchy peanut butter.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Oh my gosh. Is it amazing? Is it like surprisingly good? No. No. That's just disgusting. That's huge scoops of both. Yes.
Starting point is 00:20:03 It's crunchy peanut butter And tangy mayo That is not good That is not good at all They don't mix at all They don't go together What do you rate it, Morgan? If I could rate it to negative five
Starting point is 00:20:19 I probably would Negative five it is she's the loser Eddie is the winner Play that song for our guy here Here's Eddie's winning song Hey Hey hey hey hey That's my uncle's poop fight right there
Starting point is 00:20:32 Eddie nice job Thank you, man. People who switch their car insurance to Geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz. My phycus just heard that.
Starting point is 00:22:23 And finally, animal experts have confirmed that goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish there. It feels good to get good news. It feels good to Geico. Let's talk about modern home shopping. It's sort of become a fun side hobby, right? Scrolling listings at night, dreaming about kitchens you haven't seen, or backyard you haven't stepped foot in, all from the comfort of, well, literally anywhere.

Starting point is 00:23:20 So become the newest neighbor on the block. Visit Redfin.com to start finding and start owning. Redfin.com. Well, I was watching the Arkansas game last Saturday. It was Arkansas in Cincinnati. Arkansas wins. It's awesome. Having a great time. And we were over to Friends House, and the friend has a five-year-old kid.
Starting point is 00:23:41 And she had a princess necklace. And she was like, do you want to wear the necklace? I said, well, if I wear it, Arkansas has to win the game. And it was at a point where the game was pretty close. She was like, if you wear it, Arkansas for sure will win the game. And I put it on, we won the game. And every time I had that necklace on, we crushed. And so here we go.
Starting point is 00:23:59 I left the necklace at the house. I was I going to steal the girl's princess necklace? She's five years old. But I need that necklace, okay? Because we play South Carolina at 11 a.m. central time on Saturday. And I need that necklace. And if we lose and I don't have that necklace, then it's my fault. Now, what do I do?
Starting point is 00:24:19 Do I text my buddy and go, hey, I need your daughter's necklace? Do I sneak in the middle of the night, crawl in a window, steal the necklace and no one is ever the wiser? or do I leave it alone? Eddie? Oh man, I was already leaning towards sneaking in and stealing it. You know what I mean? How cool is that? Be like, I need that necklace.
Starting point is 00:24:35 It's almost like Pink Panther. Then you find a necklace. Really hip and cool reference there. Pink Panther? Yeah. Okay, so I can't break in because I don't want to go to jail or get shot. It's your friend's house. They'll drop all charges.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Or shoot me. Okay. What do you think? Should I leave it alone or should I ask him if I can have to be? have it again. Oh, I say you ask him. I was option A. Just call your friend and say, hey, your daughter let me borrow a princess necklace last game and I'm going to need it probably for the rest of the season. Oh, is that weird that I want to have his daughter's necklace? It's very weird. But Bones, if they keep winning, you keep wearing that necklace. As soon as they lose, you can give it back. It's over.
Starting point is 00:25:18 They'll understand. Okay, well, I got to make that awkward call. Please record it. Yeah. Well, I can just do a voice memo. I can do a voice memo. I can do that right now. Can we do that? Yeah, but be casual. Okay. Oh, be cool. Yeah, like be cool. Like, you're not. Okay, okay, hold on. Hold on. Hey, man. I'm gonna need that necklace. You know, the necklace with the princess sticker, then the princess thing? I was probably thinking I'm probably have to have to wear that on Saturday. Because if we lose, I'm gonna feel like it's because I didn't have the necklace. So, let me know your thoughts on. on that necklace.
Starting point is 00:25:58 All right. It's an awkward call to make. All right. Have a good day. All right. But like I feel like you might need to present something to the little girl like, hey. Because it's hers? Yeah, it's hers.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Like you get her ice cream or ask her parents like what she likes and maybe buy her something. So you can, you're not just taking away her necklace. It's not a bad idea, bones. Unless the dad can take the necklace and she doesn't know. He does the dirty work. But then that changes the vibe of the necklace. Oh, no, not the vibe. She named it to you.
Starting point is 00:26:26 She was like, oh. Oh, yeah, you can wear this. I hate messing up a vibe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, no. Okay, I'm going to try to get the necklace. We'll get games in two days. Got to get the necklace.
Starting point is 00:26:35 But, like, lunchbox should. I guess I'm sports superstitious, but not life superstitious, right? Yeah, I am very sports superstitious also in life. I don't really believe in it. So I get it for the game, but I mean, it's a little weird that it's a princess necklace. For a football game. Yep, absolutely. But when I put it on, all things change, and the world just shine brighter.
Starting point is 00:26:56 I mean, didn't you buy an Arkansas Barbie too or something like that? I have, yeah, I get cheerleaders. It is getting kind of weird. An Arkansas girl Barbie, princess necklace. Like, I mean, it's a man sport. You're supposed to be a man. Never works. Three words.
Starting point is 00:27:11 That's showbiz, baby. All right? Okay, I'm going to get the necklace back. I'll let you know what he says. A voicemail from Jessica and Fresno, California. I think you've been keeping it a little too cold in there because you are talking so fast. I'm quite honestly impressed, but maybe you need to warm it up a little so you can slow down.
Starting point is 00:27:32 It's hard for me to keep up. So, Jessica, what's going on is you have your podcast set to two times or three times speed? This happens a lot where people are like, why? And I do talk too fast, but I've always talked fast my whole life, so it's not abnormal. On your podcast or on your IHeart radio app, you have it set at super speed. And it happens all the time. So just slow it back down to normal speed And we will sound, well, fast, but not as fast as what you're hearing now.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Right, everybody? No. No. Are you sure that's the real problem? Because it is really cold in here. You need to stop doing that. We are cold, but I don't think we're talking super fast. We do a whole bit super fast to mess with all our listeners. Like, as real live, we're like, yeah, I don't even give it here.
Starting point is 00:28:14 Amy, give me up, give me up to go to you. So that's it, Jessica. I appreciate that call. But I think that's probably the problem there. Here's voicemail. This is Colby from Austin. in Texas. Bones.
Starting point is 00:28:27 What's up, man? LLFC, loyal listener, frequent caller. I was calling because I noticed that Top Gun Maverick is now available to buy on Amazon. I was curious, have you
Starting point is 00:28:39 taken a time to watch it at home or not? I have not. I'm going to. I'm going to watch Top Gun at home and I'm going to watch Elvis now that it exists. This is the two I'm excited about. Maybe this weekend. So that seems to be the plan. But that's what's up.
Starting point is 00:28:54 I appreciate that call. And I think that's it. Top Gun, everybody I talk to says it lives up to the hype and the hype is so much and they're like, no, but it lives up to it. They can't possibly live up to it. It could still be really good,
Starting point is 00:29:05 but it can't possibly live up to the hype. And if it does, I'll eat my hat. Really? No, that's what those card deals with your commercials used to say in like the 80s. If someone sells you a car, cheaper than me, I'll eat my shoe. So dumb.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Yeah. So thank you for the voicemails. You can always leave us one. 87777 Bobby. show. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So the University of Texas did this whole study on people posting news stories on their social media feeds.
Starting point is 00:29:34 And what is happening is when people do it, it makes them feel overconfident in their knowledge, like what they know. They feel like because they're helping spread the news that they suddenly know more about the news. Well, I feel like if I just read a bunch of headlines on social media, I know everything about the story by just reading the headline. And I'm like, okay, that's good to know next. That's good to know next.
Starting point is 00:29:54 but that is not often the most, it's not accurate. What you know is not accurate if you're just reading the headline. But that's interesting. So what should we do? Stop posting news or what? No, I mean, I think it's important to spread, but actually, I guess, really read it yourself and know what it is instead of just. But instantly, it, like does something in our brain where we just post it and we're like,
Starting point is 00:30:13 oh, yeah, I am super confident in what I know and what is going on in the world, and you really don't know it all. All right. Somebody on social media, not knowing everything. Breaking news. Shocking. So a woman decided to use her old license plate number to play the lottery, and she won $50,000. How did she remember her old license plate number?
Starting point is 00:30:34 That's the headline there. Like, a woman remembers old license plate. I mean, I don't even know mine now, do you? No, I have a picture of it, though, so when I have to pay for parking. That's smart. Smart. Yeah, it's my first favorite. So when I go to my favorites, it's my license plate.
Starting point is 00:30:48 That's so smart, dude. Sometimes I go check it, and then by the time I go to the machine, I forget it. I got to go back again. Me too. I'm like, wait, why have I not thought to take a picture and put it my favorites? What we should have in our favorites is our license plate number, our driver's license, our passport. Amy gets hacked. This is the problem. Amy gets her phone hacked and there's somebody else living as Amy.
Starting point is 00:31:06 And you know what? They have so much of information. They come in this studio and they're like, I am Amy. And I'm like, I guess you are. You know everything about her even though you're a guy from Africa. Okay. Well, speaking of license plates, Carly Pierce once got out of a speeding ticket because she had a personalized license plate that the cop really liked. Here she is explaining it.
Starting point is 00:31:27 When I was 17 years old, I was going to get my grandpa dinner and I was driving a red Ford Ranger truck. That was my first car. And my license plate, I'm from Kentucky. I love bluegrass music. So my license plate was beegrass. And this cop could not believe that a young girl liked bluegrass music. So I got out of that ticket. Well, genius. Is Carly like doing the red carpet at a monster truck show? Why is she going? I got out of a ticket once because I get nosebleeds real easy. And I, and I, I felt myself in the nose and made it bleed. And I was like, I was like, I'm rushing.
Starting point is 00:31:58 I got to go. My face will not stop bleeding and my nose will start. And it's like, okay, go ahead and go. Just be careful. And then I went, hey, hey, hey, hey. And I drove off. Got him. Yeah, got them.
Starting point is 00:32:06 I couldn't afford a ticket. But that's mine. Yeah, maybe I should get a license. What's the license plate you could get, though, that a cop would go. Okay. I like that so much, I'm going to let you go. Hmm. Cops are Cule.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Oh, with a K. Po, Po, Cule. Why is it Kuel? Why can it be cool? It's the same amount of letters, Amy. That's weird. I don't know. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:32:32 Pimp. If yours just said pimp, a cop would like that? They'll arrest you. That is not going to keep you off. It's the opposite. Of a ticket. Or a celebrity. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:32:43 But then he gets there and he's like, whose car are you borrowing? Yeah. Who's his car? Did you steal? Yeah, yeah. Eddie? Maybe safe driver? You know, like, D.
Starting point is 00:32:52 Now see, that I understand River. Like, I don't get cops or Kuhl. Because Kul means Okay. Or like I love kids. What? No, no, no, no. Amy. That gets you arrested more than it does. Okay, well, what's yours?
Starting point is 00:33:09 Probably like, I would want to say something like the badge rules. Like B, D, G, G, E. Oh, honor the badge. R-L. Yeah, something like, I'd figure out something about the badge ruling. Or badge. like Amy would spell it.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Okay, Amy, is that it? Yeah, I'm Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. There's a brand new restaurant that's opened up in Roanoke, Virginia, and it's a special restaurant. It's called Ursula's Cafe,
Starting point is 00:33:43 and it's a donate-what-you-can restaurant, meaning if you don't have enough money to buy your meal, just donate whatever you think you can afford. and it's pretty cool. They do that with food. And also, they have books, records, clothing and stuff. So same thing. If you can't afford it, you pay whatever you think you can.
Starting point is 00:34:00 Why are you setting up tall lunchbox? It's like he wants to. He's just itching. You can tell when he wants to say something. He just wrote down the name of the restaurant. Yeah, I'm rowing oak, and I think I'm going to take a vacation. To help? I'll get some clothes, get some new records.
Starting point is 00:34:13 If they had one of these here, and listen, you are not a bad guy. I think you play the part a little bit. You're like, oh, I'm crazy. but I do think you would go in and eat food for free. Absolutely. If they're offering you free food. Donate what you can't. And he'd be like, I can't donate me. I don't have my wallet on me. Can't donate anything.
Starting point is 00:34:28 I wrote my bike. I forgot my wallet. Yep, exactly. Hey, man, my shirt's a little sweaty from the bike for I can get a free shirt. Thanks. Eddie, what's the name of the place again? It's called Ursula's Cafe. And, of course, to support that cause, you can donate to Ursula's Cafe at urscafe.org. Because somebody needs to pay for the meal.
Starting point is 00:34:46 And that's how you can do that. Because I ain't. And I'm in lunchbox. Exactly. And I'll prove this message. Why would I donate? I haven't even been there. Okay. Great story. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:34:54 That was Tell Me Something Good. It's Thursday, so we figure out the morning corny. The investigative morning corny with our three heads combined, sometimes we still can't get a kid's riddle. I know. We have 90 seconds. Amy, are you ready over there? Yep. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:35:15 The morning corny. What kind of pictures to clam-s? What kind of pictures to clams take? Shut. Snap shot. Clam shots. Clam shots. Clam shots?
Starting point is 00:35:26 Clam shots. Clam shots. Clam shots. Is it clams shots? Is it clams shots? It's like clams shots. Clambers shots? Clammer shots.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Oh, clamor shots. It's good too. Right? Like glamor shots? What do clams? Clams? Clams. They have a pearl. They have a pearl in them. Pearl. They have a pearl snaps.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Pearl snaps? Pearl snaps? Pearl snaps. Oh, that's a good one now. I don't know much about clams. Clams. They open and shut. Oysters.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Oysters. Shutter. Shutter. You know, honestly, we use three minds, and we sometimes still can't get a kid's riddle. Shutter. What is a clam? Clam. Has a pearl.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Has a ocean. Perleroids? No. Oh, that's a good one, too, Eddie. Clameroid. We've already made up three jokes. We have clamoroids. That's the good thing.
Starting point is 00:36:14 What's the joke again, Amy? Yeah, what is it? What kind of pictures do clams take? pictures. What kind of pictures? Ocean on it. Ocean Ocean view. What kind of cameras? Sea?
Starting point is 00:36:26 Sea. Shots. What else? Sea shells. Okay. Like, guys, lobsters could maybe take these two? We can't take a hint. That's integrity. Our integrity's been questioned. Hey, it's still not helping us.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Lobsters? Lobsters. So, lobster, shells. There's got to be a shell thing. Shell. Shell. Shellfish. Shellfish. Shellfish.
Starting point is 00:36:46 Shelby. Shelfy's good. Shelfy. The Shelfi's good. If that's not it, it should be, we should write a letter to our senator. Is it Shelfy? What kind of pictures to clams take?
Starting point is 00:36:57 If we didn't get it, we couldn't hit this. Is it a Shelfie? Shelfie! Okay, you know what? We got it. We got one. That's good, Eddie. That's the goal.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Well, that's a hint, though, because she said lobster and I said shell. Right. Well, you guys were just so stuck on. Yeah, we're idiots. What are we stuck on? Pearl or wood? Yeah. Pearl, Spamroy.
Starting point is 00:37:18 Clamroy. He makes no sense. Okay. All right. Clear eyes, full heart. Can't lose. Thanks, guys. Good job.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Good job. Thank you. Thank you. All right. Glad you guys are here. Hello, all my friends. It is time to hit that clip. Breaking news.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Breaking news. We are breaking news. And for this breaking news, I want to go over to Amy. The fish died. What? No. No. Pay me.
Starting point is 00:37:47 No. No! Pay me! Okay. Yeah, I didn't remember who gets the money. Wait, wait, hold on. Should we be sad about this or be yelling pay me? We are not properly warning. The loss of my fish.
Starting point is 00:38:01 We can do all that in this segment. But first of all, to every new listener, Amy's daughter got a fish, but Amy was also in charge taking care of it. And I said, I think they'll die pretty soon. And then I took all the way up until some certain date. I actually have the grid here to read to you guys. So I took January 4th, 2022. And so, because, what?
Starting point is 00:38:26 Wait, that's past? But we did Price's Right rules, where if you go over, you lose. It didn't matter. So what was next? Ray Mundo with December 6th of 2022. Yeah! So I won, and I'll be collecting 20 bucks from Ray, Eddie, and Lunchbox. So go ahead and Venmo me.
Starting point is 00:38:43 I feel as though I should get some money. No, no, no, no. You killed the fish. You're a killer. Yeah, you killed the fish. So you guys can pay me on that one. I'm supposed that to be clear. And then, Amy, I'd like to hear the story.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Well, I think it's when we added the snails to the tank. We thought it was going to be this great thing where they helped clean the tank. And it's this perfect little ecosystem. But I think one of the snails got sick. And I was just downhill from there. One snail died. Then the next snail died. And then the next thing, you know, the fish is dead.
Starting point is 00:39:13 And I would have preferred a proper burial. but my daughter opted to flush it down the toilet. That's probably real for a fish. Yeah, because they stay in the water. I guess, yeah. I mean, it seems okay, but I just thought we could bury it somewhere. I'm sad that we lost alive, and I think we should take a second and remember, acknowledge that every life is precious.
Starting point is 00:39:37 But we should also remember and acknowledge that if Amy is to take care of something, we worry. And this fish died on Amy's watch. and that's all. Guys, like right now for the life of me, I can't even think of the fish's name. Can y'all? No, why would we? Dead.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Moby. Who knows? Like, it just got to where, I don't know, but my daughter wants to replace it now with some goldfish, so TBD. So I'll be accepted my 20 bucks. The Amy has killed the fish, and there we are.
Starting point is 00:40:07 We'll move on with life. We're going to come up a second and read some of the CMA Award nominees, but instead of just doing that, that's boring, I've also created a few categories that we can vote on ourselves. Oh, I like that.
Starting point is 00:40:18 Yeah, we'll do like best bald country singer. Like that would be one of the categories that I made up. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Head over to bobby bones.com slash Vegas. Enter the keyword Amy to purchase tickets to our daytime stage in Las Vegas to watch Chase Rice rides from a private viewing area with the Bobby Bone show. There you go, only 20 spaces left.
Starting point is 00:40:36 And that'd be pretty cool. So Bobbybones.com slash Vegas and type in the keyword Amy for our daytime stage in Las Vegas. That's not this weekend. Not next weekend. But the weekend after that, right? Yep, that's right. Like a little over two weeks. All right, all right.
Starting point is 00:40:50 So go do it, and you'll hang out with Amy, lunchbox, and Eddie at our daytime stage in Las Vegas and watch Chase Rice is set. It'll be a very special viewing area. Okay, so we'll come back. I'll read you some of the nominees for the CMA, which is the big award show. But that can be kind of boring at times.
Starting point is 00:41:05 So up for Best Bald Country Singer in the next segment. First nominee is Darius Rucker. Also up for the award, Kenny Chesney. Half of my hometowns to drop. By the way, this is not a real award to our listeners. I should make this one up. Best bald country singer, Zach Brown. We're all unstable.
Starting point is 00:41:35 All right, who's your vote, Amy? That's tough. I'm going Darius Rucker. I'm going Darius Rucker. Ready? Chesney. That's my boy. It's Zach Brown.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Okay, well, the winner is Darius Rucker with two votes. Okay. That's easy. You guys can write it down, though, this next time, because I don't want to, we didn't know, and that can affect a vote. But we'll do that. I got best songs you only know the song, title, and the lyrics. Best songs that I won't say the title to.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Most overplayed song. And a number one song that you forgot was the number one. All those coming up with the real ones as well, which will be less fun. But we have to do that because that's what we do here. Starting point is 00:45:27 Here you go, single of the year. Tell me which of these songs you like the best, and that should win the award. Buy Dirt from Jordan Davis and Luke Bryant. Half of my hometown from Kelsey Ballerini and Kenny Chesney. Never wanted to be that girl, Carly Pierce and Ashley McBride. Till you can't, Cody Johnson. If you got a chance, take it. And you should probably leave Chris Stapleton.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Smart. Well, yeah, they're all good. So write your answer down. and if we were picking just to buy our votes alone. All right, I'm in. Everybody in? Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:46:19 Amy, who do you have? Cody Johnson, Amy and Moneyroll. That's not the name of the song, but okay. That's how I picked him. Lunchbox? Cody Johnson, so you can't. Eddie? You should probably leave Chris Stapleton's a jam.
Starting point is 00:46:31 I have Buy Dirt, but that makes Cody Johnson. Woo! The Bobo on show. Okay, well, he doesn't really get an award for that. But this is a category I made up. Best songs, you only know the song title in the lyrics. For example, if I were to say, Beers on Me,
Starting point is 00:46:54 how much of that song can you actually sing? Come on and stay on now. Everybody's got a little something on their mind. So none. What can you do? Nothing, dude. I don't even know the melody to that song. I can do it.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Beers on me. All right. That's the first. Go hit that. Eddie, can you do Freedom was a Highway? Yeah. If Freedom was a Highway. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:47:23 That's my point. You only know that, yeah. Jimmy Allen or Brad Paisley. And then the other nominees, Gabby Barrett, the Good Ones. Amy, how much of that can you sing? One of the Good Ones. Exactly. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:47:42 And since this isn't real, I'm just going to go ahead and pick Jimmy and Brad Paisley. The winner's freedom was a high way. We're wasted. We were summer young and living for Friday. Yeah. Freedom was a high way. All right, this is a real one. Entertainer of the Year.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Kerry Underwood, and Morgan Wallen. Ooh. Like this, if they're being legitimate. It has to be Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen. It just has to be. I'm in. And unless there's something going on who, you know, they could get great. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:48:20 Luke and Morgan Wallen, they're the only two that really should have a chance to win this thing. Okay, go ahead. I go Luke Combs. Amy? Luke Combs. Eddie? Man, Morgan Wallen, when he came to town, that was the hottest ticket ever. So you got to give that to Morgan Wallen.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Lunchbox? Luke Combs. Yeah, just because Luke played stadium. I mean, he canceled a show, sort of, still played, gave his best, but refunded every's money because his throat. Yeah, but he didn't play, though, because the entertainer, he didn't play. No, no, he played. He did play. He did play.
Starting point is 00:48:52 He finished the show. But he didn't sing because his throat hurt. No, he did sing. He sang just as well as he did usually. That's like, that's entertainer. Okay, that's entertaining. Okay, so, and then let's do a couple of the fake categories. Best songs that Bobby will not say the title to.
Starting point is 00:49:06 Oh, I got it. I got it. All right, that one from Scotty McCreery that's called, what Amy? Damn straight. Correct? There's one from Eric Church. Eddie, do you know this one? Hell yeah?
Starting point is 00:49:18 Close. What is it? I don't know. It's about a view. Oh, hell of a view. Hell of you. Yeah. And then Little Big Town.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Eddie, do you know their new one? You just said it for Eric Church. Hell yeah? Yeah. Really? Yeah, I go get drunk on Friday. All right, and the winner is Scotty McCurry. There you go.
Starting point is 00:49:39 It has to be. Damn straight All right, the new category, the fake category Most Overplayed Song on the Radio Oh man Walker Hayes Fancy Like Yeah we fancy like Dustin Lynch and McKenzie Porter
Starting point is 00:49:54 Thinking about you Or Jason Alton and Carrie Underwood If I didn't love you So this is a fake category But we're gonna vote We made it up ourselves Most overplayed All right, you guys are good?
Starting point is 00:50:12 Oh yeah, it was a simple one Got it written down lunchbox Fancy like Eddie If I didn't love you dude I heard that all the time Dude me too When that started again
Starting point is 00:50:20 I was like oh Like just there And it's a good song But we heard it so much As soon as Ray played that clip That ugh came on again Amy Yep if I didn't love you
Starting point is 00:50:29 If I didn't love you I'd be good Dear God save us Give a good song The first 10,000 times Final category number one song you forgot was ever a number one meaning it just kind of came and went and if it's played you go oh yeah i remember that but uh michael ray whiskey and rain
Starting point is 00:50:47 yeah whiskey and rain coming down coming down when you hear it again you remember and go oh that was good you also forget it's michael ray yeah yeah that's that's a problem yeah uh parmaly take my name so take my hand let me make you mine i'm do wait and taking my time or liby's memory i don't mess with Those songs came and went Why? Really quick. Those first two are jam. I mean, they're all good, but.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Amy, say what you mean what you say. Yeah, go ahead. You know on the backtrack. The first two, I like them all, but the first two I really enjoyed and it's sad they weren't here longer. Okay. So the number one song you forgot was the number one, Amy.
Starting point is 00:51:28 Yours is it going to be Libreis? No, it's going to be whiskey and rain. I don't think you understand the category. Oh, I guess I don't. Eddie? Yeah, Michael Ray, dude, my boy. Yeah. That's my dude.
Starting point is 00:51:39 It happens to me when all of his songs, like, that's Michael Reagan? Oh, yeah, that was good. I don't think you guys get the category. Yeah, they don't get the category. Lunchbox, you can decide the whole winner here. Go ahead. It's Lee Bryce.
Starting point is 00:51:47 You had no idea that's the number one. Yeah, that's the point there. And Amy said it, and then she goes, and I go Michael Ray. And then Eddie goes, my boy, Michael Ray. You know what, though? I think it's just how you look at it. You know, Eddie and I think differently. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Okay, well, congratulations to everybody who was nominated for, CMA and that's it. We were nominated for show which is cool and we made sure that everybody's name including the building cleaners, the people that come in and fix our equipment, people we wave out on the street, they were all listed. I mean, I saw the names and I was like
Starting point is 00:52:23 what are we doing? Well, we don't want any controversy here and why not? Why not? So it was like Bobby, Amy, Eddie, lunchbox, scuba Steve, Mike D, Abby you know, Elena, Carlos, it was everybody. Barry.
Starting point is 00:52:39 It's a team effort. Yeah, yeah. So, yeah. We'll see if we win. If we don't win, we're not happy about it. All right, is that it? Yeah, I need to go check out the list. Yeah, you're on there.
Starting point is 00:52:50 Don't worry. It's time for the news. Bobby's Big. Stories. A 25-year-old man who pretended to be NFL superstar Tom Brady and scammed his way into gifts and auctions has been sentenced to three years in federal prison. I'm gonna tell you, the other inmates,
Starting point is 00:53:12 they ain't gonna respect you. They're gonna be like, what'd you get in for? Well, it ain't anything like hardcore, and then it's also, like, lame. I was impersonating Tom Brady. You ain't gonna have any friends in there. Scott v. Spina Jr. ran the phony identity scam that allowed him to buy family versions
Starting point is 00:53:29 of the New England's Patriots 2016 Super Bowl Championships ring. Then he sold at an auction for $337,000, along with 36 months in prison, he's got to pay some money. He pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud, three counts of wire, fraud, and another aggravated identity theft charge.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Prosecutors say once you receive the ring, he also received the information that allowed to buy rings for family and friends that are slightly smaller than the player rings. That's from the UPI. I mean, I guess it's the money. I guess it's the money part of it. He tricked and then he sold and made a bunch of money.
Starting point is 00:54:02 But it doesn't sound to me like three years in prison. Sounds like a pretty good scam. I feel like you should go to that one. No, it's not a good scam. It's not a good scam. Because he did impersonate somebody, but it's like six months maybe of, you know, state prison. Oh. But I don't know.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Next up, men think they're funnier than their partner and the relationship is happier. If the other half lets them think they are funnier. A study reveals. Now studies confirmed what women already want to know and women do know men think they're the funny ones in the relationship. Researchers surveyed hundreds of couples on the role of humor in their relationships. Results reveal men told more jokes and thought they were fun and. or even if they weren't. That's from the Daily Mail.
Starting point is 00:54:42 I am not as funny as my wife. That's tough for me to say. I've said it a bunch. It's still tough for me to say, but I'm just not as funny as my wife. I am funny. I get paid to be funny, so it's pretty cool,
Starting point is 00:54:53 but she's still funnier than I am. But you like it when she tells you you're funny. She doesn't a whole lot. Oh. Yeah, she doesn't a whole lot. But when I do make her laugh, I know it's legitimate or when she tells me that I know it's legitimate. Eddie, what about in your marriage?
Starting point is 00:55:05 Ah, man, I used to be real funny, but I guess the more of your marriage, The longer you're married, she just doesn't think I'm funny anymore. And I tell her, too, I'm like, remember when you used to laugh at my jokes? Those are the good old days. Well, I still laugh at Caitlin's, and your wife is hilarious. She is really funny. Like, out of nowhere, like, sneakily funny.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Yeah. Even Caitlin's like, Eddie's wife is so funny. She says her name, obviously. She's called her Eddie's wife. But we'll go to dinner, and those two will get on a little comedy tour, and you and I just set the table and watch, and it's like, what is happening? Lunchbox, what about your family? Oh, I'm definitely the funniest.
Starting point is 00:55:34 My wife is not funny. Ray? Yeah, I take the cake. Bazer's good though, but yeah, give it to me. All the guys. We're funnier. Come on, man. There's an app that Amy will like. It's called the Meow Talk app.
Starting point is 00:55:48 It could help owners, well, talk to their cats. Meow Talk founders say they found a formula that's able to identify cats and meows and translate them into human languages. The app went viral, 17 million downloads. There over 250 million meows recorded. That's from the Daily Mail. There are certain phrases, feed me, I'm angry, leave me alone. I'm in love that the cat apparently is saying. I don't know. Amy, your thoughts.
Starting point is 00:56:10 Well, you're right. I definitely will like this, and I'm going to have to download it. My cat was just meowing on site, and I wondered, what is it that you want? I don't know, and now I can maybe know. Here's what I know. Figuring to knowing. They're just taking your money. That's what I feel.
Starting point is 00:56:25 That's what I feel like's happening. I don't know that anybody can actually identify what a cat's meow means, especially and put in an app. Maybe it's real, but I feel like they're just taking your money. A woman has 2.6 million views on TikTok. telling the story of her baby girl being born. When she didn't even know she was pregnant, Britt says she left work because of stomach pain,
Starting point is 00:56:45 went to the hospital, and the baby was born around 2 a.m. And then she showed up for her work shift at 11 a.m. She said she didn't know she was pregnant because she's always had an irregular period, and her weight stayed between 110 and 115 pounds for the entire pregnancy. So this is someone who also pretty thin. So she told the story, and everybody's like, wow.
Starting point is 00:57:02 But again, eight hours after birth, she went to work. What? I was like, I'm back. This is crazy to me. Go ahead. I just don't understand. Did you say how long she was carried the baby? It doesn't know.
Starting point is 00:57:15 She doesn't know, really, I guess, because she didn't know. So I don't know if they know, right? Well, when the baby. Unless they know, unless they, she knows when she did it. Okay. Yeah, I mean, I just feel like I see even, I see so many people that are pregnant and it's so obvious. Yes, guys, we're missing the point. She says she went to work eight hours later.
Starting point is 00:57:32 Come on. See, there are a lot of points here. No. A bigger point could have been she didn't know she was pregnant. She had it at work. That's true. Yeah. But then she went to work
Starting point is 00:57:40 eight hours after she gave birth. I'm just not buying that. This did happen to my friend and she has a deep set uterus. I do too. Baby crew further back so she wasn't like sticking out as much. Dwayne Johnson takes his diet seriously.
Starting point is 00:57:54 That's the rock. He takes his food to the restaurant and has it cooked. What? How annoying is that? That is lame. So cool. Wow. According to Stephen Merchant
Starting point is 00:58:04 who directed Dwayne in fighting with my family in 2019. He's so dedicated to be in a tip-top shape that he actually brings his own food to eat at restaurants. He says he heard that Duane would bring his own food, asked him to heat it up for him, presumably with a healthy service charge added. He also has alarms throughout the day to remind him to eat as far as the rock goes. While in a hotel meeting about a movie, Stephen Merchant also recalls Duane Johnson's alarm going off at 317. With that, he went to the fridge, pulled out a container of turkey and rice, with 317 written on it, and then ate it. Wow. He's dedicated. You got to be dedicated to be different.
Starting point is 00:58:39 You know, it is not easy to be different. Discipline is hard, for sure, and that's why he's so jacked up. It's why it's so awesome. I have nothing weird that I do daily, so we'll move on from this. Of course not. People are more concerned with forgetting their password than having someone else guess what their password is. A survey asked if you were to create a password for a new online account, which of the following do you think you would take into more consideration?
Starting point is 00:59:04 People said, they didn't want to create a password that they would forget. They picked that more than they would a password that somebody else could figure out in hack. So I change my passwords a lot. So I do a lot of forgets. So I do a lot of forgets. And I have to click that and then go through the whole rigoramaroo back to the email. I do that a lot. I understand it.
Starting point is 00:59:22 But all my passwords are tough. I will say they're all with numbers and symbols and, you know, it's basically hieroglyphics. But that being said, I do change my password a lot. Those were Bobby's big. Stories. Apparently, Ray, our producer in Bay, his wife won big in Vegas and wanted to hide it from everybody. Is that true, Ray? I'm not necessarily hiding it.
Starting point is 00:59:45 I put it on my Instagram stories, but yeah. Yeah, but it was tough to see because you were at slots and you were putting a lot of people up there. You definitely did not say you won big. It's just something you don't want to rub in somebody's face because there's been so many times where we've been down. And honestly, I lost money. I did some sports parlays, lost those. But yeah, at the slot, she was white-hot and she couldn't miss for about 24 straight hours. So when you say White Hot, did she end up winning over $1,000?
Starting point is 01:00:11 Yes, she did. Oh, man. Okay, okay, okay, okay. I don't know how comfortable you are talking about this, but over $2,500? Yes. Oh, my goodness. Wow. What in the world?
Starting point is 01:00:22 Do you want me to stop, or can I ask another one? You can ask another one. 3,500. Yes. Oh, my God. Over? She just won, she was just playing a slot machine? Like what, what, like quarters, nickels, dollars, what?
Starting point is 01:00:37 Well, she had about, I think, $100 left, and she asked what, she always talks to random people, and I guess it does you favor sometimes. And she said, what's your favorite machine? And the guy goes to Buffalo machine. And so were their final money, she had 10 spins left. We were doing $10 a spin, and she hit $600 on it. And then I cashed that out. She kept $40.
Starting point is 01:00:55 And then she hit $1,400, and we cashed that out. And then as we're leaving, I gave her maybe $100. I was like, let's get out of here. And she won $3.4,000. So in all over 5,000. Okay, two things I want to say. That's amazing. That is a crazy.
Starting point is 01:01:09 I can't believe she won that on the slot machine. Second of all, what weird human calls it 3.4,000? Yeah, he wanted to make it sound like a million. Okay. It's 3,400. But. And that's a lot, right? But, so you basically gave her $1.00.
Starting point is 01:01:31 You're such a weirdo. It's so funny. But she ended up winning, like, what, $5? thousand, over five thousand bucks? Yeah, and then on the 3.4, that's when they actually came. Stop calling at that. Let's call it 3,400. Call it 3,400. 3,400, they come up and they make you sign all the papers.
Starting point is 01:01:45 So that's when it gets really sketched, because you've had drinks and stuff. Am I getting scandal? What is going on? You got to give this lady your social? I don't even know if you work for this place, but she... I can also appreciate that you call it getting scandal. I mean, it's... Yeah. Scandled.
Starting point is 01:02:00 Hey, Ramundo, if you would have just listened to 25 whistles, I went seven for seven on the show last week, picking games. Betts. You could have made all that money back. No, I'm an idiot because I went six and two, so that would have been very, very nice. But yeah, I'll listen to your podcast next time. You went six and two and still lost money? I was a parlay. But that's no, no, no, no, no, no, that's, no, that's zero. That means you won... That means you won nothing. Oh, boy. It's six and two in the parlay. It was an 18 parlay. Okay. Well, I went eight and one in a nine game parlay. I won nothing. That would consider, that would be a nothing. Well, I went
Starting point is 01:02:31 99 and one in a hundred game parlay. And that's nothing. Yes. It's nothing. It's nothing. I have no idea about your other time. I know, exactly. Exactly. Hey, Ray. So you guys won some cash. What are you going to do with that money? I mean, she's got some surgery coming up.
Starting point is 01:02:45 So honestly, it's perfect timing. So, yeah. Well, what are we getting done? What's fine? Not the fun kind of surgeries, that's for sure. Oh, yeah. Okay. Well, congratulations, Ray.
Starting point is 01:02:59 That's pretty cool. I do want to. We'll do a post show today after the show, and I do want to know, because I know Abby was singing at a bar in vacation. I guess race as he orchestrated that. So we'll talk about that in the post show. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 01:06:21 There's a red button on the left side. You hit it. You got a million bucks. There's a green button on the right side. If you hit it, you have a first. 50% chance at 50 million. Oh, that's a coin flip. That's true.
Starting point is 01:06:36 That's true, 50%. Yes, that's a coin flip. So, on the left, there's a red button. You push it. There's a million bucks. This goes, boom, right in front of it yours to have. Oh, my gosh. But on the right side, a green button,
Starting point is 01:06:51 50% chance at $50 million. What do you do, Amy? I think I'm going to go with a guy. green button. Wow! I know. Because I would take the million and that would be amazing, but then I would always wonder, golly, I got out of 50 million. Eddie? No. One million dollars
Starting point is 01:07:11 is a life changer. F-R-E-E. Why am I even risking it? Why am I chancing it? Give me the one million dollars. Conservative play. Come on, dude. I'm a millionaire just like that. Taxes. Not anymore. I guess not. Just like that, it's gone. Ray? Yeah, very responsible of me, but I'm going to go just
Starting point is 01:07:29 like the old saying, one bird in the hand is better than two birds in the bush. Give me the million dollars that's guaranteed. Good job with that saying, Pee Paul. That's right. Is that right? Yeah. Good for you. What about you? Am I the only risk taker here? I'm going with the easy million. That's a million bucks more than I had.
Starting point is 01:07:47 Guaranteed. Yeah, guaranteed. And I get it. 50, 50 for 50 million. Okay, what if it's 75%. What if they laid four cards out and three of them said 50 million and one of them said loss? 50 million. I'd go 50 million to that. That's better odds. You can't go coin flip. No way, man. For a free million bucks? You want to go one step further?
Starting point is 01:08:03 Let's do it. Flip the coin. For what? For $50 million. Okay, heads or tails? Tails, never fails. It's heads. It's heads.
Starting point is 01:08:13 Told you. See, that's why I would have won with a million. Just like that. Got proved my point. Just like that. Okay, so we have three people that go, a million bucks that rocks. Okay, what about this? 25,000 for free.
Starting point is 01:08:26 Or the green button half for 50 million. Well, green button. Obviously, I would choose the green button. You would, yes. But these guys over here. Green button, 100%. Ray? 25 million?
Starting point is 01:08:39 No, $20,000 for free. Or half for the $50 million. Oh, $50 million. Duh. Yeah, okay, okay, one more, one more. $250,000 for free. Oh, no. For free, a bag of money.
Starting point is 01:08:51 Or $50.50 on that green worth for $50 million. Ugh. Ray? Yeah, it's $50 million. You got to go for that. The million guaranteed is the obvious choice, but when you keep going lower and lower.
Starting point is 01:09:02 But if you're going to give me $250,000 for free to risk, no, give me a shot at $5.50 million. I'm taking the $250,000. Yeah, $250,000 is a lot of money. Which is a lot for free. Wow. Well, that's how we love our lives here.
Starting point is 01:09:12 Is this real? And I'm a big risk take. I'm a big strategic chance guy. I like to take stress. But if it's just free, I'm just going to take the money. Every time. Because it's guaranteed.
Starting point is 01:09:24 Bobby Bones show. Bonehead. This story of the day. This story comes with us from Great Vine, Texas. is two women rolled up to a 7-Eleven gas station and they have a little device that tricks the gas machine. So they spent $5 and got $2,100 in gas. Wow, that's too much to get if you're scamming. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:43 Like if you spend five, maybe you get 50 and you're pushing. Wow. But they had a pickup truck with a big old tank in the back of it and they filled it up and they left. And they're like, man, we got away with it. So what they do? A couple hours later, they went back. Oh, man. Same place.
Starting point is 01:09:58 Even if you do the $2,100 one, right? You need to do in a town you don't live in and you don't go back. That's too greedy. Yeah, so the clerk saw their car again, called police. Of course. Busted. I wonder what that device is. I don't know, but the police said it's a device that tricks the machine into thinking you're getting very little gas, but it just keeps spitting it out.
Starting point is 01:10:17 Sounds awesome. When I was a kid, I don't know who gave it to us, but we were given some little, it's like a silver and it looked like a penny roll, that shape. And you could put on the back of your TV and you guys. at HBO and Cinemax free. You're like stealing. What? What? I know. I'd like trick the TV into it that you paid for. Oh, you would put the cable into that and then connect the other side to the TV. You put on the back of the TV right there. I remember that. We had one forever. And I remember then we didn't have it. And I was like, where's our HBO on Cinemax?
Starting point is 01:10:45 And then I was told we'd been stealing it. Yeah. Yeah, I didn't feel bad. Because I didn't know that. But yeah, we tricked the TV just like that. All right. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. to some folks that he doesn't even own. Obviously, when I lead it with a scammer, you know, it's not going to end well, but Naomi Gonzalez and her husband, they found the home they were looking for, according to Fox 13 News.
Starting point is 01:11:08 They found it on Facebook Marketplace, three bedroom, two bath, one year lease, $1,300 a month. They talked to the owner over the phone. He sent them the door code to go look at the house. They signed a lease, sent the deposit, then they moved in. Then they moved in. Then they moved in. A few days later, they found out they'd been dealing with a scammer who had never
Starting point is 01:11:25 owned the house. The company that does declined the family for a lease and has told him to move out immediately. Police are looking for leads to track the scammer down. My question is, how do you know the door code? Oh, I was thinking, well, if there's another company that owns it and they've rented it out
Starting point is 01:11:42 before, like maybe somehow he knew the code that way. If they rented it. When you changed it, though, if you were like... I feel like anytime I've Air and Bede somewhere, I get to pick the code. Like, because that way you... That's why mine's always 6969. I thought every house did that. Don't tell everyone. No.
Starting point is 01:11:57 I don't know. I was trying to figure out how in the world you're right. Like, he would know the code. And that was what I came up with, which might not be a good idea. What was the scam, Amy, with you? Oh, well, it involved you. So a listener sent me a DM asking if this was your phone number and they attached, you know, a number. And they were, please tell me this is Bobby's real number. And I replied back, why is someone pretending to be Bobby saying this is his number? And they said, yes.
Starting point is 01:12:26 and they thought it was really you and you were giving them your phone number to hit, like saying, hit me up, this is my number. It wasn't. I mean, did you say that? I said, well, yes, because I wanted to prevent them from, you know, sending money or doing anything weird. I did cross-reference the number because I thought,
Starting point is 01:12:41 well, maybe Bobby gave us new number. Yeah, he has two phones. Or he has a, then I thought, he might have a third phone. Two phones. Well, the trouble with two phones now is I don't have Uber on one of my phones and one I, my old one I have Uber, my new one for some reason it won't accept it.
Starting point is 01:12:57 And so now I've got to carry two phones again all the time. I couldn't do my fantasy draft on one phone. I'd go to the other phone.
