Starting point is 00:03:04 All right. These are the 10 things that help us wake up in the morning. Amy, are you ready? Ready. Number 10, put some music on. Do you do that? No. I don't either.
Starting point is 00:03:13 I have stages where I do, but I don't. But we all wake up so early and we don't live alone and it's like, can't be jamming out. Well, I do headphones sometimes. Oh, true. But I don't. Yeah. Okay. So I don't, but I have before in stages.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Have a glass of juice. No. Hmm. No. The only thing I have first thing in the morning is water and then coffee. I have those things called Celsius. drinks, they're clean, those are pretty good. They get some little caffeine in them.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Number eight, exercise. Again, a phase. Yeah, I did that once. It's miserable. It's easy. Once. And I have friends who will wake up and, listen, early is relative to everybody. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Have friends that will wake up and work out before they go into work. They choose. Like, I like to work out of, this is what they say. I like to work at a 4.30 because then I just have it done. I can spend the rest of my day. Folks, oh, I'd be so tired. And I wouldn't want to wake up that early. But I've had a phase.
Starting point is 00:04:08 I don't do that anymore. I'm O for three so far. Go for a walk. No, not in the morning. Open a window. Nope. Should we? Do some stretching.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Sometimes. Maybe if I feel tight. Now that I wake up and I'm 42, my Achilles tendons are always so tight. And I always limp out of bed. Kailen's like, why do you walk like you're 80? I'm like, well, my Achilles tendons are maybe
Starting point is 00:04:31 about 80 years old. They're that of an 80-year-old man. Occasionally I get out of bed and do. I think it's warrior pose, maybe. I don't know why. That's just the one. It's like a lunge, but you put your arms out. It stretches everywhere and just like, I don't know, gets me going.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Number three, force yourself out of bed as soon as your alarm goes off. Yes. Yes. Eddie? Are you still doing that? I'm still working on it. No, no, no. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:04:55 Have you snoosed? I've snoozed once. But working on it is progress. But he doesn't care anymore. Whoa. I've snoozed once. Once during the weekend and once during the week. Yeah, see.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Now it's twice. Well, you have to commit. Take a hot shower. No, I take cold. Wow. You do? Yeah, I'm cold shower girl all day long in the morning. I can't take a cold shower. Yes, because it just feels, first of all, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:05:16 It just wakes you up and it just feels so good. It does, but it doesn't feel good. Cold showers remind me of either after football practice because we had no hot water or church camp when we had no hot water. And you would just kind of put your shoulder in it and then kick all the water and rub it on your parts. Oh, that's miserable. Number one is drink coffee. Yes. So, yeah, I don't drink coffee, but I do.
Starting point is 00:05:38 a little bit of that Celsius stuff. Do you make your own coffee? I do. Yeah. Anything special with it? I mean, I mix it with almond milk, and that's my thing. I've been doing iced a lot lately. I used to do it hot, but as we get warmer, I roll iced, and it's my favorite part of waking up, actually. Then what is your tip to waking up? Everybody can share their quick tip. We have to wake up really early. What is your tip to waking up in the morning?
Starting point is 00:05:59 Once it goes off, there's no, it's like 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 up. Like, my 5 second rule, I got it from Mel Robbins, and it's non-negotiable. So you get up and then... You just get up, make your bed right away. Oh, you make your bed right away? Yes. Okay. Got that from Admiral McCraven.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Whoa. Now, I think that's like a Bart Simpson prank call. I'm going to be honest with you. I don't know that that's a person, but it is? He is. Yes, he was in charge of the Osama bin Laden mission. Okay. And when my husband was in the Air Force, he was in a joint unit where that was, like, I've been to his house.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Remember, I think I told you, I didn't even know how important he was at the time. But... Is that the guy you clogged up his toilet? What? So hilarious. I made that up. I made that up. I made that up.
Starting point is 00:06:43 I made that up. That's just a funny. That's just a funny thing. That's just a funny thing. Anyway, he gave it. Years later, he gave it, I watched a commencement speech he gave on YouTube and that was one of the things that he said is make your bed every day. Mine is I got dogs, so I let them out immediately. And I make sure to feed them, water them.
Starting point is 00:07:03 And by the time I get all that done, I'm pretty good. because they're just kind of a pain in the butt in the morning. So that's my wake up, my key to waking up. Eddie? I go outside and check the temperature. You do? Walk outside. I'm like, ooh, it's kind of cold a day.
Starting point is 00:07:14 All right, go back in, take a shower. Wow. What if it's just medium and there's no... He's a walk outside guy. In your underwear? Yeah, my underwear. I wear boxers, but yeah. He like stand-hose.
Starting point is 00:07:24 It's like little shorts. Look into the world. shirt on or off? Shirt off. And your neighbors can see you? I'm in the backyard. I don't think so. Maybe some.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Lunchbox, you key to waking up? is I brush my teeth and then I calculate what time can I take a nap today and I got that from Sergeant Sleep What? Admonic Raven is real. Yeah, yeah. Sergeant Sleep. All right, well, here we go.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Welcome to Thursday show. Hey, later on, the Cadillac 3 will be by and they will perform. Love them. They're so good live. They're going to perform in our studio. So you guys hang out for that. All right, this is an interesting mailbag. And I'm going to read it as it was written to the show.
Starting point is 00:08:00 And I think, I don't know, maybe you can put two and two together, but this is not any of us. This is an email that we got. I'm going to read it now. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:15 All right. She says she's going to change a few details for the protection of those involved with the show. So as I read this, apparently some details have been changed. Hello, Bobby Bones. I watch a TV show every morning. It's fairly unique. The host are a bunch of friends that chat, play games,
Starting point is 00:08:29 and interview famous people. It's great for the most part. There's one host, we'll call him Dinner Bag. He is annoyingly rude. He's so rude to his coworkers, I wonder how he can actually be friends with them in real life. Now I love sarcastic humor. My friends and I enjoy roasting each other all in good fun. But lately, Dinner Bag has been so obnoxious that I have to turn the TV show off.
Starting point is 00:08:47 I listen to all my kids in the car and I don't appreciate them hearing the constant nastiness. Recently, one of the hosts, we'll call her Mimi Black, has a unique career opportunity. I love hearing most of her co-workers cheering her on but dinner bag just continually cutting her down isn't funny this is not the type of behavior or values that we promote in our family so my question is do I keep listening even though dinner bags antics oh they said listening but they meant watching I got a feeling they're talking about our show
Starting point is 00:09:19 do I keep listening even though dinner bag's antics set a terrible example for my children to leave me feeling personally aggravated or do I start watching another TV show in the morning with better values even though it may not be as entertaining. Signed, bummed out B team. So, there's this. I think dinner bag is probably lunchbox. I would think so.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Oh, you think that's about me? Mimi Black is Amy Brown. Mimi Black. Oh, I get enough. So she thinks that you're way too negative. If we're putting... Oh, and that it's bad for her kids? What do you want to say to that?
Starting point is 00:09:58 I don't think I'm negative all. I think I'm honest and some people have a problem with honesty. You want everything to be sugar plums and rainbows and butterflies where everybody just says, oh, everybody's great, you're wonderful. When in reality, that's not the truth of the world. There's things out there that, you know, you've got to prepare your kids for. So you're going to hear bad things in the world. So you're saying you are preparing her kids for the use of the world?
Starting point is 00:10:20 Interesting. Yeah, well, I'm bad. No, no, reality of the world. Not everything is just butterflies and rainbows. You said that and sugar plums and lollipops. Sugar plums and lollipops. That's what I'm saying. Just because you think I'm negative, I'm more just honest.
Starting point is 00:10:33 What do you want me to say? Amy's a great actress. Then I'd be lying to her. I wasn't asking for that ever. Yeah, no one was asking. So what she's referring to is Amy got a job having a small part in a movie. And she went and shot it, but Lunchbox was extremely jealous. Amy didn't take it from Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:10:48 They just came and asked for Amy specifically. They definitely needed a female. Like, my scene is in the women's bathroom. Like, there's no... I've been in the women's bathroom. There's no way. It's a different movie. It's a different crime.
Starting point is 00:11:03 So what do we do about this? Amy, what's your thought to this email? I mean, I think that she can still listen, but what I would do is just have a conversation with my kids and be like, hey, look, this is a perfect example of, yes, what is out there in the real world? And there are people that tend to be this way, but we're just going to continue to be kind in our house
Starting point is 00:11:23 and use lunchbox more as an example of what not to do. But you could also say, This is what we call humor. Lunchbox is funny. No one else on the show is funny. You are funny at times. You say no one else on the show is funny. You're the only funny person in your mind?
Starting point is 00:11:38 I mean, I'm definitely the funniest by far. But you're the only funny person. I mean, sometimes you come in with some jokes that are funny. No one else is really funny. So it's mostly 85% you. A little bit you. A little bit me. Yeah, and then that's it.
Starting point is 00:11:52 That's it. That's it. And it falls off. I mean, who else would you say is funny? Ray's hilarious. I think it's a lot of funny people. Eddie's funny. Amy's funny. Everybody's got their own way to be funny. I mean, Amy
Starting point is 00:12:00 doesn't even mean to be funny though. It's like it's her mess ups that are funny. No, no, no. Like when she can't speak, we make fun of her. Like, we're making fun of her. But you can't speak. You're a worse speaker than she is about words. I don't know about that. Okay. Anyway, but I would say you can keep listed. I mean, if you like to laugh, I mean, if you want your kids to enjoy something, then you should keep watching that show.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Hang in there with us. Not what, that show. Watching that show. And I think that Amy has a point. In life, sometimes you got to turn in the toilet. Yeah. That's life. And that's dinner box. And that's...
Starting point is 00:12:31 Call me dinner bag. Oh, dinner bag. Is it dinner bag? Okay. You call me a turn in a toilet? No, just in life. Sometimes you... That's rude.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Hang with us. Thank you for the email. We understand, but we appreciate you staying with this show. We're trying to do more good than not, and we hope to be entertaining. And that's all. All right. Close up the mail bag. We've got your email and we've read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. Lunchbox had an anniversary today. Oh, wow. Yeah. And you didn't know it. I had no idea. Happy seven years to my wife.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Hey, what do you mean you didn't know? I mean, I had no idea. Did you even know it was near? No, I didn't even pay it. I don't look at a calendar, guys. Like, who looks at a calendar nowadays? And I got a text from my father-in-law. Yeah, every day.
Starting point is 00:13:19 You guys look at a calendar every single day. Every single day. And he was like, hey, happy anniversary. And I was like, oh, crap. Anniversary. Father-in-law. Yeah, father-in-law was the first one to say happy anniversary. And so literally I texted my wife,
Starting point is 00:13:33 and me, I was like, happy anniversary. And she texted me, happy anniversary. So my father-in-law set off the whole text chain of like happy anniversary. And so, yeah, and then I had to look, and I wasn't sure if it was six or seven years, it's been seven years. Does she not care that you don't care? Because if you both don't care, who cares? Right.
Starting point is 00:13:51 If one of you care and the other one doesn't, that's where it becomes problematic. No, I don't think she cares either. I mean, because every time, when I don't do anything, like she said, I'm like, I don't have any plans. I texted her. I'm like, I didn't have anything planned for a night. She's like, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:14:04 So I assume she doesn't care either. So that's good. Or does she just not get her hopes up because there's no need because they're constantly crashing down? Expectations. That could be it. But I feel like anniversaries are just another way to get one person in the relationship in trouble. Because if one partner wants to be like, oh, so all about the anniversary. And the other one's not.
Starting point is 00:14:25 It's like, well, I'm just waiting for that guy to do that. person to disappoint me. But why can't, and why is it always the responsibility of the guy to do it? Why can't my wife plan it? If she's all into the anniversary, why don't she do it? I think that's fine too. Yes, thank you. You didn't even remember. I had no idea. Yeah. Literally had no idea. Amy, your thoughts? Well, I just think in most relationships, both parties participate in the anniversary. Both parties like to show the other person, hey, this is cool. Look at where we are in our relationship and go, you know, both parties recognize. and take responsibility.
Starting point is 00:14:58 It's not all on you, but you should at least, like, do something. Not even just, no. You should at least know. That's step one. And that you forgot is understandable. Right, that happens. But you going, I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:15:09 I mean, I had no idea we were even in the month of May. Or knowing where we are. Like, really no clue. No clue. We are halfway through the month of May. Is that your argument with her? Maybe I had no idea. And he's bringing it here?
Starting point is 00:15:21 Yeah. Yeah, I told her. Yeah, you're committed. Literally texted her. I thought it was January. Said, didn't realize we were in the month of May. The weather is like totally changed. Like, what month did you think it was?
Starting point is 00:15:32 April. Yeah. He thought it was April. Okay. Well, that's not that far off. That's what I'm saying. It's flying by. Okay, well, you gotta do something though.
Starting point is 00:15:39 So you've got to scramble now. Yeah, I have no present idea, nothing. I mean, ask your father-in-law, what you should do. I mean, I guess you just go to the grocery store and grab a bouquet of flour. That'll work too. Yeah. Maybe get a babysitter, go to dinner or something? Yes.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Oh, boy, that's the last minute. I don't know if you got a babysitter last minute. Seven years of marriage. What have you learned? Give me something. I've learned that after seven years of marriage, one person usually falls, she falls asleep on the couch a lot. But what advice would you pass on a meet coming up to year one?
Starting point is 00:16:08 Don't worry about dates. That's what I'm saying. I think that's the main thing is you get hung up on dates. Go out in the middle of July and have a dinner. Don't wait until your end of July. Well, I'm saying, don't wait. It doesn't have to be your anniversary. But no one's waiting.
Starting point is 00:16:24 It's an extra. Valentine's Day. It's a load of crap. You're wasting your money on Valentine's Day. Go the day before, day after, and you get a half price. Okay. Let's split the day after. I'm writing this down here. It is. I'm seriously, you go, listen, go to the store on Valentine's Day and try to get a dozen roses. $80. Go the day after, $12. It's unbelievable. Why are you going to pay $80? Why are my presents on Christmas? I know they're going to cost more. I mean, it's just stupid. I like it when Baby Jesus was two days old. It is cheaper.
Starting point is 00:16:54 man, you ain't lying. I mean, it's just crazy. You go to dinner on a Valentine's Day, and it's like, oh, we have a set menu. It's $80 a person. Go the next night, guess what? Guess what? What do you know? It's the same chicken.
Starting point is 00:17:09 That's true. That much cheaper? I don't think so. Okay, so let me just, oh, I need one more because compiling a book here. Don't worry about dates. Yeah. Then the second one was what? Valentine's Day, don't do it.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Okay. Don't do Valentine's Day. Let's get next. And give me one more. Oh, go to dinner in June. Yeah, don't wait. You don't have to do it on your anniversary. Yeah, yeah, we got that one.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Then the last one would be you control the channel changer. That makes it, no, no, no. Oh. This is why. Because women are indecisive and they, oh, I don't know what I want to watch. They flip the channel and you waste 30 minutes and they're not very good at it. They're not very good at fast forwarding and getting it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:48 My wife is terrible. My wife is terrible at it. I try to give her the channel changer a couple times. and she's like, oh, we're not going to watch that part of the show? Oh, sorry, sorry. So you control the channel changer, and it'll cause less fights because you are more decisive and you can pick the TV show. Dates are stupid.
Starting point is 00:18:06 No such thing as Valentine's Day. And she can't have her mom. Got it. That's good. All right, thank you, lunchbox. And happy anniversary. Happy anniversary of your wife. There you go.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Bobby Boncham. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30-second skinny. Gabby Barrett shared the unique gift. her husband Cade got her for Mother's Day. It's a ring that contains some of her breast milk as well as her daughter, Bela,'s, birthstone. Keith Urban shared on The Ellen Show
Starting point is 00:18:34 what it was like meeting Dolly Parton for the first time. The first time I met Dolly, she's sung with me a few times, but the first time I met her, it was surreal because, I grew up singing her songs. Thomas Wrette said he'd be interested in making an album about parenting. I feel like that would be super fun,
Starting point is 00:18:51 just to write from a super self-deprecating point of view of how challenging it is just apparent. That's something that would be intriguing to me and also sounds really fun. I'm Morgan. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:19:09 A woman in Florida is sitting at a stoplight when she looks next to her and she sees her co-worker in the car next to her. Only problem is the co-worker is slumped over the wheel, passed out, and the car starts rolling through the intersection. And she's like, oh my gosh, she's going to get hit. Like through the red light? Through the red light. And so there's cars going.
Starting point is 00:19:26 So the co-worker jumps out and starts waving her arms. So all the other cars stops saying, she needs help. She's passed out. She's passed out. And so other people jump out of their cars and they start running and they form a perimeter around the car until someone can break the window with a barbell and they get it to come to a stop. No one injured.
Starting point is 00:19:43 And nobody got hit by a car coming through the intersection. Exactly. Because everybody surrounded it and all the other cars stopped. It is the craziest video you will ever see. I didn't believe it until you got in that voice If you get this video You're gonna be like wow Because she is like flailing her arms
Starting point is 00:20:00 Stop everybody stop And the car is running a red light And so other cars are Woo woo woo and they move out of the way And it's amazing to see people In business suits People in shorts All people from all walks to life
Starting point is 00:20:12 Come into the rescue Did they say what happened to her? Just a medical episode So it could have been anything Yeah I don't know what that means I figure that means a seizure Yeah Passed out is good.
Starting point is 00:20:23 The fact that someone wasn't on their phone driving through that intersection and just clip somebody, that to me is a crazy part of the story too. Not as crazy as saving her and that's a great part of it. Everybody's just on their phone now. It's probably nobody got hit flying for the intersection.
Starting point is 00:20:37 They were all alert. Yeah. And props to everybody for jumping out of their car. You would think, who's this crazy woman running through the intersection? That's what I would think. What would you have done? I'd probably either pulled out my phone.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Started filming. Filming? This one has been your video. Or? Oh, yeah. Would you have rather had the video? That's a great question. Or been like one of the people to help the main person.
Starting point is 00:20:55 You wouldn't have been the main person. Ooh! Yeah, you can't be, because she's the main person. Would you have rather had the video that got put everywhere on the internet? Or just been someone and you could have been like, I was also in there. So I'd been like a co-star. I would have been like an extra. Well, you'd been like a supporting actor.
Starting point is 00:21:10 I'd rather have it be my video. And I think that's also what I would do is wait until she stopped. And then if the news cameras come back, oh, man, guys, it was great. Like, we were out there. we were, you would have taken the credit. Yeah, you just hijacked all that. Because, yeah, this one says an unidentified woman, it doesn't say her name. But you
Starting point is 00:21:28 would have made sure that it would have been. It had been my name. Yeah. Oh, man, it was great. I was out there screaming and I busted the window and I just want to say thank you to everybody that also helped. But you can't say bustle them. If you didn't bust a window, you can't lie, lie. Oh, yeah, I guess I can't, because I probably see the video then. Yeah, but your video. Yeah, but
Starting point is 00:21:44 let me tell you. She has to hide his own video. You've got to go look at this video. It's bananas. We'll put it up on our Facebook page. All right, good story. Saved Her Life. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Elder versus Millennial. Eddie, first question. Here you go. Come on. This movie premiered 16 years ago on Disney Channel and starred Vanessa Hudgens and Zach
Starting point is 00:22:10 Efron. What was the name of that movie? That movie was called High School Musical. That's correct. Good job. It's now time for Elder versus Millennial. It's Eddie the oldest on our show. I'm 43, I think. Yeah, it starts to kind of slug away. Oh, my gosh. Versus Morgan number two, the youngest on our show. 28 years old.
Starting point is 00:22:29 Answering trivia questions about each other's generation. Up, first, he's the dad of four. The Hispanic who don't panic. He's a raging idiot's guitar player and singer and can crack a one liner that makes me say, that's a humdinger. That's right, it's pretty. Eddie, everybody.
Starting point is 00:22:46 All right, Eddie. Here we go. Come on. I'm going to play a couple hooks here. Candy And I want to be with you Or hits for what
Starting point is 00:22:56 pop artist Here's candy And here is I want to be with you Wow Can you name that pop artist Gosh, I don't know These are questions
Starting point is 00:23:21 That generally Morgan number two Is going to know the answer to I mean I feel like I've heard that song I want to be with you Um Give me Ashley Simpson Incorrect
Starting point is 00:23:32 Morgan, you can steal I don't know, Raven Simone Incorrect, no, the answer is Mandy Moore. Wow, Mandy Moore. Eddie, this word is used by millennials to describe when someone responds to an insult with attitude, sass, or shade.
Starting point is 00:23:51 This word is used by millennials to describe when someone responds to an insult with attitude sass or shade. Gosh, I mean, all I know is sass. Why said sass? I know, and that's all I'm saying. It can't be that. Who says sass like that?
Starting point is 00:24:07 Sass. I feel like I've heard Morgan say that to me. Ooh, sass. Sass. I call Eddie sassy a lot. He does. But like that. That's who you are. Okay, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:24:16 What are the other ones? Sass and what? Attitude, sass, or shade. When you respond to an insult with attitude, sass, or shade. Throw in shade. Is that your answer? I mean, it's not because it's part of your question. But it is, I don't know why Ronchy's stuck in my head.
Starting point is 00:24:34 That's not it. Let's say rough Okay, he says rough That's incorrect Morgan can you steal I don't think I can And I don't know if it's just how it's worded That's confusing my mind
Starting point is 00:24:47 Yeah see that's what I was thinking Yeah salty No the answer is clapback Oh The word used by millennials to describe when someone responds to an insult With attitude, sass or shade All right Eddie 1 Morgan zero
Starting point is 00:25:00 No steals there Morgan Let's introduce Eddie's competitor Eddie's opponent, she runs all of our digital, born in the 90s. The Dewey Decimal System is one she can't comprehend, and she may be moving in soon with her boyfriend. It's Morgan! All right, Morgan, you gotta get some of these right. I know, I'm struggling.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Read my lips, no new taxes. Was a famous quote by which U.S. president, here's a clip. Read my lips. No, new I'm assuming that has something to do of the Boston Tea Party, but I have no idea what that was. They got audio from that.
Starting point is 00:25:46 I mean, listen, I don't know. No new taxes. But you know what? You may have just helped me a little and saying there was not audio back then. Oh, man, no new taxes. Did it answer, Morgan? Bill Clinton.
Starting point is 00:26:07 Incorrect. George H.W. Bush. Do you have audio from the Boston Tea Party? I don't. Just to painting. It's okay. She had taxes. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Here we go. Next question. Back in 1982, this artist bit the head off a bat during a concert in Des Moines, Iowa. Here's a clip of a song. What's the name of the artist? Never heard that song in my life. But the only, like, I guess, crazy thing that has happened with a rock. artist that I'm familiar with is Jared Leto so that's the only guess I got. That is incorrect.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Eddie? That's not Jared Leto. That's Ozzie. Did I say Osborne? You say both yeah. Ozzy Ozzy Osbourne. Yeah man he's crazy. Finally this TV show premiered 35 years ago in 1987 on NBC. It combined dramatic reenactments, interviews and updates. Here is the theme song. Name that TV show Morgan. It included what? What all was included? Dramatic, reenactments, interviews, and updates to to tell stories of true events from human to the supernatural. It sounds like 60 minutes,
Starting point is 00:27:32 but I don't think that's what it is. But that's all I know, so 60 minutes. That's incorrect. Eddie. Is that Unsolved Mysteries? It is Unsolved Mysteries. Eddie with a 4-0 win. Yeah, it wasn't Morgan's Day.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Wow, it wasn't Morgan's Day. Eddie, Big Win, nice job, buddy. Thank you, buddy. There he is. I was just listening to the post show from the other day, and you guys are talking about skydiving. And my husband and I are avid skydivers. I'm at about almost 500 jumps. He's at almost 900 jumps, and I can tell you that skydiving is really safe.
Starting point is 00:31:47 They're hot dogs. Kill more people than skydiving does. So Eddie, have fun and enjoy the jump. You know, they say that, oh, just delete this. This is stupid. She gave up on her call. She did. She quit halfway through.
Starting point is 00:32:02 But before she told us to get up on the voicemail. That's funny. That's good, Mariah. But I like that slogan. So Eddie and Abby both said their bucket list is to go skydiving. The rest of us have done it. I hated it. It's stupid.
Starting point is 00:32:16 But you have four kids and you had to get permission from your wife. Did you? No, and I yet. I haven't asked. I haven't asked yet. Do you have to wait to like the Times ride, or can you just go and you just go and? today be like, hey, can I go skydiving?
Starting point is 00:32:26 It's probably better just to ask it while she's like doing something, like in the middle of something. Do not put it on me though. No, I won't. Don't say, hey, it's for the show. Nope. Okay. Because I don't want her, who's friends with my wife, to be like, are they doing some skydiving? Uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:32:41 Do I phrase it like, you know, I've always wanted to go skydiving? Yeah, and say, hey, now there's an opportunity that Abby brought it up. She wanted to do it. I could do it with her. I think we're okay because, like, a few months back, Scuba wanted me to go skydiving, and she was cool with that then. You know, so she'll be fine. Okay, let us know next week sometime. You got it.
Starting point is 00:32:57 All right. Coming up in a second, we're going to do basically two lies and a truth. What'd you call your game here? I'm just two fake one real. Okay, so she's going to give us three statements, two or fake one's real. I spent all night thinking about this game. Oh. Because what the answer is that I am sure is the real one is so easy that it can't be real.
Starting point is 00:33:16 Oh. She's going to give us three, two of them are fake, one of them is real. It's about her life. We're going to figure it out next with Amy. And then we have a caller on who wants to know why lunchbox is always upset us. We'll get to that too. That's next. On the phone in Amarillo, Texas is Tiffany.
Starting point is 00:33:33 Tiffany, thank you for calling the show. What do you want to say? I have a question for lunchbox. Go ahead. Why are you always so angry at everything? What have I been angry about? I don't think I've been angry at all. Every little, sometimes in every segment,
Starting point is 00:33:52 they always seem like you've something angry about with it. I don't think so. I think sometimes I get frustrated or I'm shocked by things and I think you're mistaking that like surprise feeling as anger. Your surprise sounds angry. Maybe it's more like your passion something. Yeah, maybe I'm passionate about something. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Can you give me an example? You do get upset about it. Like give me something that I got upset about in the last week. Anybody winning the lottery? There we go. Anybody. That is frustrating. Anybody making more money than you in any way shape of life?
Starting point is 00:34:22 Anybody getting any sort of opportunity that has nothing to do with what you've tried, but they get an opportunity. And you're like, oh, that's stupid, I didn't get it. Yeah, that's frustrating because they weren't even trying to be an actor. And they get it handed to him on a silver platter where I've been working my tail off. You haven't. Not your tail? You've taken a few glasses. That's working my tail off.
Starting point is 00:34:38 More worth than she's put in. Tiffany, he's already getting angry. So thank you for the call. We understand why you would say that. And we appreciate you listening. All right. Thank you. Y'all have a good one.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Bye, Tiffany. Okay. we're going to play a game here. Amy sent me this. I don't know the answer to it. I've been very excited about this all night. Oh, you're going to play too? Well, because I run it through my head like 20 times. I don't know the answer. And it just seems like I will know the answer immediately, but if she pitched the game like this, it can't be as easy as it seems. So the game is two fake and one real, right, Amy? Yep. She has three things and I'm going to let Amy say them, but she got three statements. Two of them are fake. One of them is real. We have to find the real one.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Now, I don't know the answer. I think I know the answer. I think I know the answer, but then I'm like, that's too easy. That can't be the answer. Amy, let's go. Number one. I saw a raccoon on a leash. Okay. Like, to my walking a raccoon? Yes. Like a pet. Sort of like I walk my cat. You saw a raccoon on a leash. Okay. The next one. I have been invited to be on a soap opera.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Interesting. So Lauren Swickard, who she's the writer-producer of the movie that I'm going to be at Christmas time and her husband is on general hospital. Oh, really? She's trying to sell that one too much. No, she sold the raccoon too? What do I sell about the raccoon other than the raccoon?
Starting point is 00:36:02 The next one? Well, I've told y'all my kids want a baby and I carry my cat like a baby and we're finally starting the process of adopting another baby. And you have mentioned yourself that you wanted another baby. You have said that, yeah. Yeah. Yes. And it just was like a matter of figuring out when the time is right.
Starting point is 00:36:27 Can we ask a question each? We get one question period about all three. Then you can ask any question you want. She'll answer it. You don't have to be honest. You can turn to fullest. So if we say, why the raccoon, you'd be like, well, it was on third street? You can make up whatever. We've got it. Lunchbox, you get one question about these. Go ahead. Okay. Where are you adopting a baby from? It's domestic. And if it's domestic, I guess you don't want to share with because it's a new. Yeah, good call.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Well, yeah, I mean, I'm not saying that it's domestic. Because, I mean, my two adopted kids currently are from Haiti, and so we have considered that. But it's just difficult there right now. And originally, our plan was to do domestic anyway. Eddie? Who was walking the raccoon? A man. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:37:15 What the worst question ever in my life? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know him. That's a terrible question. I already know which one's real. What do you think she was going to say? A kid.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Thomas Rett? I mean, what? Yeah. John Marty. Blake Shelton, that would have been believable. All right. I mean, it's got to be the raccoon. I haven't to ask my question yet, but it's so easy.
Starting point is 00:37:36 I just don't think she would set us up for it to be a home run easy raccoon. I agree. I mean, are you ready for my answer? No, because I haven't asked my question yet. Oh, yeah, you have a question. Hey, ask a good one. Yeah. When you say you've been invited to be on a soap opera, like, as what kind of role?
Starting point is 00:37:55 Cameo. That would mean as yourself. A cameo appearance. So they want you as Amy the radio Actually, no, in the movie I was invited to be myself. But this... It got her, you nailed her. No.
Starting point is 00:38:08 In the movie, I was invited to be myself, but a cameo on this show would be, it's like a walk-on guest, like not a... What do they call it? Like a continued role. It's just they need someone specific. And when they saw my acting at the movie, they thought, oh my gosh, she'd be perfect for this. Bones?
Starting point is 00:38:25 When they hear this clip, they know your accent's bad. Bones can see it right through you. Wait, why? He nailed you. No, no, no, I just asked a question. Actually, he didn't. I just was saying. I just asked a question.
Starting point is 00:38:35 Okay, lunchbox, which one is, two or fake, one's real? Which one is real? The real one is A, the raccoon, because I have, I forgot all about this, but I was eating at a hamburger place. The guy had the raccoon there on the table. I have video. What? Yep, so I know it's the raccoon.
Starting point is 00:38:51 I have video. I'll pull it up. Then maybe you should have pulled yourself out of the competition if you're literally saw the raccoon. I totally forgot about it until you said that. You saw a man with a raccoon and you forgot. No, I meant to send it in and I totally forgot until you just said it right now. How do you forget that?
Starting point is 00:39:02 Okay. Uh, Eddie? Well, it's the raccoon 100%. No, you don't. Yes. You don't know that. You're not adopting a baby and you're not asking in the movie. If lunchbox had seen a raccoon in their neighborhood, you should have taken himself out of the
Starting point is 00:39:11 competition, for the record. Well, I didn't know that that was going to be part of the thing. That's true. Until she said it. Then you should have played a cool and been like, I'm going with a raccoon and not known why. You dummy. It's easily the raccoon now Because he's seen the same raccoon in the neighborhood
Starting point is 00:39:29 I'm gonna go with the soap opera though Just for the heck of it All right Amy I saw a man logging a raccoon That's crazy though But I honestly It's kind of cool Lodgebox has video
Starting point is 00:39:45 Because I thought nobody was going to believe me Because I don't have proof Because I did it I was driving and didn't have time to take any video That sounds Lunchbox playing a video video for some reason in studio. I'm just, so you know I'm not lying.
Starting point is 00:39:57 It's at a restaurant and it's on the table. You can turn the volume down. Yeah, yeah, you can hit down. He turned it out. What restaurant? A little hamburger place. Okay. You already said that.
Starting point is 00:40:05 That's crazy, y'all. There's a man in town walking around with a raccoon. That is pretty crazy. That's crazy. Like, I've never seen that in my life. I mean, it's crazier that it was on a table and a restaurant, if I'm being honest. So dirty. I just thought there's no way y'all were going to believe me because I didn't have proof.
Starting point is 00:40:22 So I thought it would be fun to play a game. Why did you pick two unbelievable, super unbelievable things? I know I would have been like, today at three, I'm dyeing my hair fully blonde. No. Like things that actually can happen? We, I actually could be adopting a baby right now. You're not. Not right now.
Starting point is 00:40:35 I actually. But you're not. They actually did tell me I did a good job at the acting thing to where maybe they consider me for other opportunities. But you're not. So you can't argue. Okay. But all that's believable. You saw a raccoon.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Hey, good for you. And I apologize, Amy, that I should have stepped out. I just didn't. Like, once you said, I was like, oh my God, I forgot all about that video. I know the answer! I saw it, too. He sends it in tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:41:00 God, you never believe what I saw. But it's the guy's pet. It's literally his pet. And I talk to the server at the restaurant. And he comes in there at least once a week. With the raccoon. Thank you for the game. It was a good game, Amy.
Starting point is 00:41:12 I like that. Next up, lunchbox, you make one of these. Okay. You can never believe what I saw in a restaurant. I saw a raccoon at a restaurant. Here's a voicemail from Jasmine in New Mexico. I was hoping you guys could bring some attention to all of the fires going down in New Mexico, all the wildfires. There's quite a few.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Fun fact, mules can't reproduce. Bye. Well, that was a curbel. Wow. What cats? Mules. Mules. Can't reproduce.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Oh, mules. Yeah, it was, hey, would you please acknowledge the fires. Also, mules can't reproduce. Bye. Let me talk about the first thing here. First, in that, yes. And our station, Big Eye, in Albuquerque's, and we're doing some fundraising relief with them. I know Amy's sister on yesterday's show texted her like they're coming toward where she is in Pagosa Springs or Pagosa.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Yeah. So thinking about everybody out there, what we can do to help, we will. And then mules can't reproduce. Do you know why? No. Because I believe they are a, I looked us up, Mike. I believe they are a hybrid themselves.
Starting point is 00:42:12 Horse and mule. No, they are a mule. Horse and donkey. That's correct. Okay. But the actual mule breed can't. But if a mule mates with a mule, they can't make a mule. They can't make a mule.
Starting point is 00:42:24 No, no, double mule. I don't think so. Let me just go from growing up around mules. It's weird to say over and over again. I believe that there is like an extra chromosome. It's not always the case, but I believe most of the time there's like an extra chromosome that sterilizes them or something that sterilizes them. Wow. And so they're not, for the most part, able to continue mulling.
Starting point is 00:42:47 But we can always get them by mating horses and donkeys. Yes. Interesting. I'm not an expert. I'm sure someone will correct me on that, but I'm pretty sure that's semi-accurate. Here's Sydney from Mississippi. I was just listening to the podcast with Craig Morgan, and I have to make an amazing observation is that I have noticed Bobby saying, I love you, to so many people.
Starting point is 00:43:10 I keep so loving because Morgan at the end of that interview, and I just thought, you know, that's amazing. You can just see Bobby growing, especially since they're in Caitlin and their journey. So that's awesome, Bobby. Keep saying I love you because I know you have to be. I have lots of people in your ass who love you too. So thanks for the show. Talk to y'all later.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Appreciate the call. I do think it was, it's like a ribbon cutting. What's his cut? You've never said I love you to anybody. You told Craig Morgan that you loved him? I love that, dude. Yeah, for sure. Didn't hear that.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I wasn't like, I love you. He's like, oh, thanks, mommy. Like, I love Craig Morgan. We've been able to spend time together outside of the show. Like, legit, dude. Like, has done it all. It's been a cop. He's in the military for a lot.
Starting point is 00:43:54 a long time. Country music singer gives back. Opry member. Like, just so fun. He invites me to go to stupid stuff. I'm not going to Alaska in the winter. You're out of your mind. But love them. Love him, love them. All right, give me one more, Ray. This is Miranda in Arkansas. Hey, y'all. I have a morning, corny.
Starting point is 00:44:10 What do you get when you pick a pig's nose? Ham boogies. I know, I know. It's not funny. Ham boogies. I like it. All right. Have a good day. We'll pick Suey. Appreciate that. That's the deal. You want to call us?
Starting point is 00:44:25 Leave us voicemail. 877-77 Bobby. Here's Amy's pile of stories. There's his mom. She's 29 years old. She has a one-year-old son. And she's been putting temporary tattoos all over his body since he was six months old. Let me think about this.
Starting point is 00:44:42 Like neck, arms, legs, all over. She has tattoos all over her body and she just wants him to match her vibe. From what I know about temporary tattoos, they aren't painful. I've put them on myself. Right. Yeah. From what I've seen, they haven't been proven to be toxic to the level they would make anyone sick. Right.
Starting point is 00:45:00 It's not illegal. So why are people upset with her? She's got a social media falling. She's put some stuff on TikTok and she's just getting a lot of heat and shame from other parents that disagree with her decision to temporary tat up her child. I'm looking at her. She's fully tatted her. It looks like every inch of her body's taken. Right, Mike?
Starting point is 00:45:19 Yeah. And so she's kind of not his face, but she's done a lot of tattoos on her. kid, I don't have a problem with it. And I'm always going to, when I don't know, I'm not going to shame a parent. When I don't know. And I'm going to be honest with you. I don't know anything. So I just trying to stay out of the shame game completely. Yep. So I'm okay with it. I don't, I actually don't care, but she's not hurting anybody. So I'm okay with it. Right, which is sort of my point in bringing it up. It's like all of these parents that are shaming her for this, like stay in your own lane, focus on raising your kids and don't worry about what she's doing because
Starting point is 00:45:50 she's not doing anything to harm him. Is it different? in what you do? Yes, but... You're probably a bad parent, too. Nobody's getting hurt. All right, so Johnny Cash is from Kingsland, Arkansas, a tiny town with a population of under 500 people, and in town they have this huge water tower.
Starting point is 00:46:07 Well, they decided, as a tribute to Johnny Cash, they would put his silhouette on the tower. Yeah, it's like him standing up with holding a little red guitar. Yeah, yeah, it's awesome. So you know, that's Johnny Cash up there. Well, someone with a, you know, a gun and some
Starting point is 00:46:22 really good aim, shot a hole into the water tower. Who is wiener, yeah, weiner. Right, where he would pee. So now water is sprouting out of the water tower, and it does look hilarious like he's peeing. However, this is causing a lot of issues in town. They're losing $200 a day in water that the town is, and it's going to cost $5,000 to repair the leak.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Anyway, they don't know for sure, for sure who did it yet. They have leads. but this person is facing a felony charge once they're caught. Here's what I would do if I was this town, because yes, $200 a day, I get it. They could make some sort of merch shirt from this and make quadruple the money bad. I don't know why they're not taking advantage of that because this is a big story now. But yes, whomever you are who did this, you're in trouble. Doesn't the whole town know who it is?
Starting point is 00:47:16 Urine. Oh, urine. You missed it. That was more good. Hang it, bones. That's good. That's the only one who got me. That was so dumb.
Starting point is 00:47:22 That joke was so dumb. I was like, yeah, you are in trouble. Yeah, you're in trouble. Yeah, you're in trouble. But you're in trouble. Luke Combs is offering up advice to college graduates. So here you go. Do what you want to do.
Starting point is 00:47:38 Whether that's using the degree you just got in your hand or not, you going and doing what you want to do and being happy and feeling fulfilled is the most important thing. I feel like he was just put on the spot when he answered that one. Like, what do you say to grads? I feel like he He says some pretty At times Profound things
Starting point is 00:47:58 Especially for someone Who grew up like we all did That I don't feel like that's an accurate representation Of how he feels Yeah Do what you do All right Luke next question What'd you have for breakfast this morning?
Starting point is 00:48:09 I feel like it was like in a middle of some interview Where he was like I don't know My advice for graduates Kind of like Luke's do what you want to do You know? No but you actually had like when you got your Honorary Doctorate Like you prepared your speech for undergraduates, but then you ended up not even speaking to them, really.
Starting point is 00:48:26 And that's life, baby. Success is not a straight line. No, nice. It isn't. And everybody's, first of everybody's idea of success is different. And everybody's way to get there is different, meaning the way they got there or the length of time that it took them to get there. So when you start comparing yourself to anybody for any reason whatsoever, that is poison in your system. that will not allow a win.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Any comparison whatsoever with folks, you're only doing it because they have a lot. You never go, well, that person sucks. Let me compare myself to them. If so, you'd feel great. I'd encourage more of that. But what we do in comparison, we always find people that have something
Starting point is 00:49:05 that we wish we had and we're like, well, they have this. That's poison. I mean, you're eating it. So I would say, understand that everybody's got a different path. We all take different paths. Success is not a straight line.
Starting point is 00:49:17 and everybody's vision of success is different. My vision of success professionally is to do what fulfills me, performing. Money was never part of my success plan. It was I just want to go to work, not hate my job, make people laugh. I want to write. I want to tell jokes. And I get to do that and I'm very fulfilled because of that. Now, if I made no money or a lot of money, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:49:46 I would still do it. That's how I know that I'm supposed to be doing this. Now, if we go to somebody like Lunchbox, what would fulfill you? What is your vision of success? Chase that money. Chase that money, right? Chase the paper. And you can never chase.
Starting point is 00:49:59 You'll never catch money. No. Oh, yeah, you will. No, no. But you'll never make enough to where you're like, I did it. But look, if they offer you a job, your dream job and you're making $20,000 a year, or they offer you a job across the street where it's $100,000 a year, guess where you need to go?
Starting point is 00:50:13 $100,000 a year. But I don't think the same job's offering those two things. No, no. different jobs. Dream job. No, no, no, but I'm saying. Random job. Anyway, that's what I'm going to say.
Starting point is 00:50:22 We put up some hoodies and they sold out like in 20 minutes. We'll do some more probably in a week or two. But there you go. I like that. Luke Combs, if we brought him in, he'd probably give a different answer. More prepared. Yes. But that's what I would say.
Starting point is 00:50:35 Do not compare yourself to other folks. Success is not a straight line. And also, don't quit. You can take a break, but don't quit. If you don't quit, it ain't over. All right, there you go. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:50:51 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Carl Garrison, 96 years old, built us home in Shoreline, Washington almost 40 years ago. But over the years, his veteran's health has declined, and as he's gotten older, he hasn't been able to maintain the house and especially the yard. So there are code violations in the city of North Seattle, and they're stacking up, and there are fines stacking up. that's when Jason Kirk came in. Jason's manager of a Seattle Home Depot and a fellow veteran,
Starting point is 00:51:22 and he stepped into help. Now, under his direction, with the help from the Home Depot Foundation, West Carroll, Washington, and dozens of volunteers, everything was made, the repairs were made, the cleanup was made. And so Carl's home is completely up to code now as of this past weekend. Here's what workers did. They cleaned up the yard. They put in new plants and mulch.
Starting point is 00:51:40 They built a ramp so he could more easily make it inside his own home and to his second story with his walker. And so he was amazed, and this is Carl. I'm just totally odd. I can't believe this happening to me. I mean, I feel like I'm just a guy. That's an awesome story. I love that.
Starting point is 00:51:59 And an awesome clip. And by way, Carl's 96. That's amazing, too. And so that is somebody looking out for our veterans. As a matter of fact, it's a veteran looking out for other veterans. So cool. That is a great story. Glad we could share it.
Starting point is 00:52:10 And that is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Our lunchbox, what's going on over at your house? Well, my wife's been bugging me. Oh, it's starting to feel like summer. We need to get some patio furniture. The kids are going to be outside. We need somewhere to sit.
Starting point is 00:52:24 And I've never had patio furniture in my life. And so I went to Home Depot, got me patio furniture. And, I mean, unlike that veteran, they didn't give it to me for free, though. Oh, that's funny. No, I don't think they were going. This isn't a... Okay, go ahead. And then, oh, wife's like, oh, you know what we need to do beauty up the yard?
Starting point is 00:52:40 And I'm like, what do you want me to do? She's like, I want you to plant flour. So guess we went to the garden section. We got some mulch. Got some flowers. I mean, earth grow mulch. Supposed to be some good stuff. Make the flowers grow nice and beautiful.
Starting point is 00:52:50 So, I mean, backyard's looking nice with some patio furniture. Now I've got to get a grill. And, I mean, Memorial Day should be a lot of fun over at my house. Sounds like Home Depot did you guys up. Oh, they did a great job. I mean, it feels like Memorial Day at the Home Depot. How doers get more done. Hey, in a minute, I have a story about why people yawn.
Starting point is 00:53:09 I think, for the most part, we're like, well, we don't know. We know why we feel like we yawn. We're tired. Yeah, we're sleepy. Or we're bored. But like, no, I mean, it's a thing I've never read this story about. Scientists now say that we've been doing this for generations, generations, generations to make sure that we survive. Wild.
Starting point is 00:53:30 And I hope this doesn't get hit with us. There's a segment that's boring. But why we yawn coming up, mine was blown. Okay. First, let's go over and get in Amy's investigative corny where we try to figure out the joke. Let's go. Morning corny. What do you call?
Starting point is 00:53:48 two guys hanging from a window. 90 seconds on the clock. Two guys hanging from a window. Pain. Swingers. Window swings. Painfully swinging. Two guys.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Two guys, two men, Chuck and Ron. What if it's the names? What if it's like flippy and swingy? Not it, but what if... They're hanging from a window? Two guys. Yeah, like, what do you call two guys hanging from a window? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:17 Mm-hmm. That's it. Two-pane. Two-pane. Two-pane. Wait, what's... Oh, two-pane's the rapper? Two-Pain?
Starting point is 00:54:25 Oh, that's T-Pain. That's not a word. Two-Pain? What do you call, two guys? They got like a double-pained and went and pain. No, I know. I get what that is. But two-pane, like instead of... Tea-pane.
Starting point is 00:54:34 Yeah, instead of T-Pain, it's two pain. If you are dead set on that, I'll go with it. No, I don't think we should, guys. So, Amy, let me read it again, because it's listening to the word specifically. Yeah. What do you call two guys hanging? From a window. So two guys.
Starting point is 00:54:49 So either there's a name for them two together or the guys have to be individually. What are names that guys have that could be a window? Have we thought about- Clear. Have we thought about swinging and flippy? Just saying. No. Why? Maybe you're stuck on that.
Starting point is 00:55:03 You want to go with it, bones. How about art? That's on the wall. Todd. Ron. Todd. C. Stud.
Starting point is 00:55:12 10 seconds. Wiper. Vision. Wipey and. How about one final thing Swinging and Flippy Hey Bones if you really like that I guess we can go with
Starting point is 00:55:22 I think we have to go with Tupane though of all our dumb answers Oh my gosh That's the least dumb Or swinging and flippy is that he said Yeah I'm starting to think that's not on By your reaction
Starting point is 00:55:32 Okay we're gonna go To Payne It's hard to judge you though Because we don't have a better answer Let's go Ray Let's go Ray The Morning Corny What do you call two guys hanging from a window?
Starting point is 00:55:49 Two pain. You have to ask the question back to me. That's how we do it. Two pain. Swingy and flippy. What do you call two guys hanging from a window? Kurt and Rod. You're right.
Starting point is 00:56:03 Rod is the curtain rod. Curtin rod. Oh, Kurt and Rod. Curtin rod. I never got that. Dude, you were chasing the joke for right. I was more like on the swingy, flippy variety. You literally said Chuck and Rod.
Starting point is 00:56:15 and Ron. Chuck and Ron. And I was like, Kurt and Rod. Like, you were so close. It was so close. It was close. Yeah, your teammate, you were close. These guys.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Hold on. They failed. Yeah, two panes. Pretty terrible. All right. Starting point is 00:59:52 Open doors to the future for you and your family with the help of American Military University. That's AMU. APUS. Dot E-D-U slash military. The story blew my mind. So why do you think we yawn? Why do you think our body? Because science has never really figured it out.
Starting point is 01:00:11 But why do you think we yawn? I have literally no idea. I mean, I guess my thought would be that we start to slow down, like we've been going at a pace. And for some reason, we slow down to a point where your body's like, all right, I'm now entering into it. It relaxes you? It's like a checkoff into a lower zone. Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:31 That would have been what my mind would have told me. Because you get bored, kind of, hmm, nothing to do. You get tired or sleepy. like, hmm. But not quite. So, as many theories there have been, they say yawning has evolved as a social cue to warn others that we are less alert and that they need to be vigilant to look out for predators for our own sake. Meaning, let's say we're a thousand years ago. And my body is slowing down. And I'm like, that's a sign to Eddie that I am now not working at full capacity. And he's got to watch out for me because I do not have the ability to pay attention to all my surroundings.
Starting point is 01:01:08 So get my weapon ready. So it's like holding up a sign, help me if I need it because I'm about to go to sleep or I'm getting to, isn't that crazy? But then your yawn makes me yawn. Yeah, that part's not in here. I don't know what that one. I don't know why it's going to do. Did that happen to them too where they both fell asleep? They both got eaten. There's no, no story about that part. Except for who doesn't yawn psychopaths? The phenomenon known as contagious yawning, is thought to have further spread this cue among groups of animals. Evidence suggests yawning evolved originally as a spontaneous event and therefore more physiological in nature. That's from the Daily Mail. But it was just like a warning like,
Starting point is 01:01:46 hey, I'm not feeling great, so protect me for a little bit. That's amazing. Which is pretty cool. Here's a PSA that could save your life. According to an article and Eat This, Not That, where they had some neurologists talk about your brain and what it does. Headache. memory issues, drastic personality changes, vision issues, sleep issues are all early warning signs that something is going on with your health that is much bigger. I have all these. Say this again, y'all. Yeah, I'm 5'5.
Starting point is 01:02:12 I just checked. Bingo! Check for me. I think I just won. Headaches, memory issues, drastic personality changes, vision issues, and sleep issues are warning signs individually, not all ones, but any of them, that something is going on with your health, and it might be super minor, but those are all signs. Like, you're a headache.
Starting point is 01:02:31 the many ways you get to have a headache. You're not drinking enough water, you're dehydrated. Sure. Your hair is too tight. I have, you know, friends, women that have pulled their hair back, like, oh, I had it for too tight, so I've got a headache now. Yeah, or baseball cap. If I don't eat, I start to get a headache. Sinuses.
Starting point is 01:02:46 Signuses. Allergies. TMJ. In your jaw, you grind. Grind. Harvey Weinstein? No, what's the name? Harvey Levin.
Starting point is 01:02:54 What's his name? What's his name? Harvey 11th. That's TMZ. No. So they say these could be harmless and just real early warning signs of things. But you could have a brain tumor, concussions, dementia, even for injuries. So it's best to check with your doctor.
Starting point is 01:03:11 If any of these are happening at a rate that's more than before. So let's say you get a headache every day for a week. It's probably not the water situation. So they say if that starts to go, wow, this is happening a little more than normal. Go to the doctor because it could be existing to let you know that something else is happening. I blame all that on allergies, almost every time. Your personality changes, that's allergies, man. And then Yellowstone begins season five production in Montana.
Starting point is 01:03:39 So here we go. They're going to do another season, which they had announced, but now they're going to start shooting it. It will serve up an extra long season consisting of 14 episodes. The new episodes are slated to begin airing in the fall. So I guess production is that they've already acted it, and they're just going to edit. Productions, you shoot it.
Starting point is 01:03:57 But that's quick to get it on a fall, is my point. It's May. Yeah, because post it'd be called post. post-production. I'm telling you, if they haven't shot this, they ain't going to have it ready about ball. I love it. It's like construction. They ain't going to have it ready by fall. It's like a house. Friends that got houses are like, they promised me in three months it'd be ready.
Starting point is 01:04:11 I think it won't happen, buddy. So that's from Taste of Country. Thought those stories, we all needed to know all that. And I got a slight headache today. Oh, here we go. And I start to speak in an accent. I go to a headache. It's just very hurtful. Super dumb. I think it's the dumbest thing you can do.
Starting point is 01:04:28 One of the first couples to marry over Zoom has divorce. they still haven't met. Like, how dumb. Wait, what? You get married over Zoom to somebody who never even met. I don't have a problem when you get married over Zoom.
Starting point is 01:04:37 If for some reason during the pandemic, you're in the military, you can't get to your guy, your girl, and you've been planning. Okay. But you ain't ever met him? Ah, that's dumb as crap.
Starting point is 01:04:49 All right, one of the first couples to meet and get married over Zoom is divorcing. They still haven't met in person. The woman claims this guy's been unfaithful and is back with his ex. Okay. They've never met.
Starting point is 01:05:00 But you never met. So probably, but you expect otherwise? Why do you expect anything? There's been so much talk about pandemic romance. Obviously, we're getting away from that. But there are couples who met and got married over Zoom when we talked about some of them. But now one of the first couples to marry remotely while in lockdown, they're now divorcing the way they got married, which is virtually. A 26-year-old British woman filed for an annulment from her American husband.
Starting point is 01:05:25 He's 24. Three months after marrying him. But can you annul after three months? Yeah, I think that might be the window. I'm not sure. They still have not met in person. They met online during quarantine. Things were good.
Starting point is 01:05:36 How do you not get together? I mean, different countries. COVID. Travel. Lockdown. How do you still not get together? You're married. So it's a dumbest thing I ever heard.
Starting point is 01:05:51 One of them. Yeah, it's the dumbest thing. So what I've asked the room to do is, and I will say by a show of hands who would like to share, because some people may not have the dumbest thing, But everybody, the floor is open. Who wants to share the dumbest thing they've ever done in their life? Yeah, I mean, I...
Starting point is 01:06:06 Eddie's hands up, lunchbox his hands up. Oh, Morgan's hand. Okay, I'll go first just to kind of break it up. Amy, you're not going to do it? I want to hear you else first. Well, the dumbest thing that I've done in my life is a minor similar-e, pushed a button, and I got fined a million dollars by the FCC. Oh, yeah, that's pretty dumb.
Starting point is 01:06:21 Yeah, that's pretty dumb. Definitely. I remember that. But you learn from it. Yeah, yeah, and I hope... Others did, too. We have to take a test on it. We're reminded every year.
Starting point is 01:06:28 Yeah. The entire company has to, take a test now because of a button I pushed and then the million dollar fine that came after that. And I remember seeing it pop up on the screen like, it is a wreck. Another dumb thing was I had a great idea for a bit once and then lunchbox and I did it and he went to jail. Was that yours? I'd like to piggyback off that. Okay, so I'm going to let lunchbox go then. Okay, good, good. So I'll just take the million dollar fine. I'll let you have the other one. Go ahead. The worst thing I ever did was take this job. The dumbest thing. Not the worst. The dumbest thing.
Starting point is 01:07:00 never did was take this job and have a meeting with my boss, Bobby, and we come up with this great idea that I'm going to buy panty hose, put it over my... No, no, no, I'm going to buy gum. Well, no, I'm going to put panty hose over my face, then walk into the convenience store and buy a pack of gum with panty hose over my face. So I did that, and then I got arrested at gunpoint and thrown in the slamer and my... It's crazy, is it? That day, to me... Here's what I remember.
Starting point is 01:07:25 All right, it was supposed to be hilarious. Had some panty hose and an egg, one of those eggs? it's like, okay, go in and we'll see what happens. You just buy gum, be nice. What's the egg? It's it, but panty hose was in. Oh, gosh, I got you.
Starting point is 01:07:37 You got legs. Legs. Is it, is the dumbest thing we could have done. Dumbest thing we ever did. Oh, wow, that was allowed. And I said, just go in, but be nice. It would be on the phone, just buy gum, but you're wearing panty hose on your face.
Starting point is 01:07:47 And I waited in line. Yeah, somebody was ahead of him. Yeah, and I was on the phone the whole time, on the air. Like a, what a robber waiting line. No. Right. Right. Come on.
Starting point is 01:07:56 So he does it in the bit. Nothing really happens. We're like, well, that was kind of a dud. Except they see him. They hit the panic button behind the counter. Held him at gunpoint. Oh, my God. And I got thrown in the slammer.
Starting point is 01:08:09 They came to arrest me and I was like, you ain't taking me in, I ran. Oh, is that right? No, but they were like, we're coming back for you and they didn't. But yes, he was in jail. So that is the dumbest thing I've ever done. He called. He was like, I can't get a hold of my parents
Starting point is 01:08:22 or would you tell my message? And I was like, yeah, well, I'll tell him. Was he all, like, big voice like the way he normally is? We were both young and dumb. Okay. I was 22, man. Yeah, I was 23. Dang.
Starting point is 01:08:32 And we got pulled off the air for weeks, and every show was like gloating. Ah, we told you they wouldn't make it. That's right. We came back. We're number one for 10 years after that. Wow. Yeah, it's pretty awesome. Well, except it was the dumbest thing we ever did.
Starting point is 01:08:46 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dumbest thing. Eddie, you raised your hand. Oh, my gosh. Mine's pretty dumb. Were you scared in jail? Well, I was sitting there and there was... Be honest.
Starting point is 01:08:54 No, no, no. I'm going to tell you what happened. There was two guys. There was two guys. that came in and they had tattoos all over their face and they start talking about what they did and they're like, what's you do? And I was like, man, I ain't saying. He's like, I don't want to say I killed him.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Yeah, because they were like, they were like, man, it's all right. We'll be out in like six months. I was like, oh my gosh. Six months. I was like, I better be out by six o'clock. Lunchbox, by the way, they charged him with terroristic threatening. But then it was all dropped because he didn't do anything. Oh, good, good. There's no, you can go into Halloween. People go on a mask all the time. Anyway, it's still dumb.
Starting point is 01:09:26 Yeah. Yeah, but, okay. I'm going to get off this. Eddie, go ahead. Man, this is the summer after I graduated high school, and I was headed back home from a party. And my house was about, I don't know, about a two-minute drive from the city.
Starting point is 01:09:39 It was a dirt road, and there's no one out there. And I see someone walking in the middle of nowhere. And I'm like, am I seen things? Or is that really a person? I back it up. It was really a person. They were hitchhiking. I picked them up.
Starting point is 01:09:51 And I took them to wherever they were going. They said, I'd give you money if you take me wherever, you know, across town. This was like a 10 minute drive across town like, all right, I'll take them. I took them, dropped them off. I told the story to my friend the next day. And a week later, the mugshot was all over the news. It was a someone wanted for murder. And I had picked them up and taken them to a hotel.
Starting point is 01:10:14 What? And they could have totally killed me, but they didn't, thank goodness. But that was the dumbest thing. Almost the dumbest thing. I've ever done. Almost. I mean, I'm pretty dumb. The dumbest would have been if you got murdered.
Starting point is 01:10:25 Well, no, I wouldn't be here to tell you that. story. I mean, you just gave me someone a ride. Yeah, there was no real it was a murder. There was no real ending though. Maybe you took someone to murder. You took him somewhere else to murder. Guys, they were headed to Mexico. Oh no, no, no, no, Eddie took in. Oh. Did they get? No, no, no, no, no. No, no. No. No. They didn't murder after that. Yeah. Humpless.
Starting point is 01:10:41 In my car. Hey, no. You know, we'll pay. Yeah, no real pay. It's a good story, but yeah. Morgan. Oh, well, it was because I dated this guy. Okay, and let me tell you why. I got in a lot of trouble when I was dating him. He got me in trouble for sneaking out. I was underage drinking.
Starting point is 01:11:01 I was doing lots of bad things with this man. Right? Man. Oh, my goodness. He was older than me. How old? Not like illegal, but he was older than me. And it was so dumb that by the time I finally realized I needed to break up with him and I broke up with him.
Starting point is 01:11:18 He paintballed my parents' house. He egged my parents' house. And then he drove through my parents' yard, which then my dad had to, like, go out and, like, handle. all of it. So I look back on that moment, I was like, that was pretty dumb of me to date that man. Yeah. You keep saying man, too. I know. You were underage. See, there's a real consequence there, right?
Starting point is 01:11:37 Eddie, that happened. Mine's a better story, though, huh? But you could... I almost died. You could have made that up. What, that I died? No. You couldn't make up that you died. So I picked up the murderer and then I died, but I'm here. That's why I feared raising my hand. It's because similar to Eddie, I've done a lot of really done things. Like, even I've been the one
Starting point is 01:11:52 that's gotten in the car with a strange man that was missing fingers. Because he offered me a ride. Like a lot of people work for a sawmill. I know. Don't be a hater. Listen. You got a firework house.
Starting point is 01:12:01 I got home safe. But y'all, that was years ago when I lived in North Carolina and y'all got so mad at me and couldn't believe that I would get in the car with a stranger that offered me a ride. And then when I got in and he was missing fingers. And if he would have abducted you, that'd have been the... Dosting! Right. Instead he gave you a nice ride and took you a story. And then gave you a ring and you got married.
Starting point is 01:12:21 Yeah. Still pretty dumb, maybe. That's how you met your husband? I mean, but what? No It's dumb But not the dumbest Eddie yours was dumb
Starting point is 01:12:29 Picking up a hitchhiker Pretty dumb But I would say That my husband and I Probably now would say We were pretty dumb For marrying so quickly Oh
Starting point is 01:12:36 You mean so like three months Yeah Like we just didn't know a lot About each other I think most folks When they could look back Knowing what they know now Would go
Starting point is 01:12:46 Yeah we probably could have waited A little longer Yeah And still had the same marriage And that had been Because like People to meet like a day And they're like
Starting point is 01:12:52 We've been together 20 years still they have to go, that's pretty dumb to get me right after a day, huh? We waited six years, so my wife would disagree with you. You really? See, that's dumb. Okay, can anyone beat any of these? I mean, you know Ray's got a pile of dumb. Ray, can you close the show?
Starting point is 01:13:08 I mean, the ones I can talk about. This one, so it still affects me to the day. The dumbest thing I ever did. So my vehicle, you guys see the scrapes on the side of it. It was all a college night, and I was with South Beach, and we went at the Hilton Hotel, and we parked there, and we had dinner, and it was like, And we were leaving. So we go to the thing and it says $25.
Starting point is 01:13:26 Well, me in South Beach didn't have $25. And I was like, dude, I've seen people do it before. You can actually go around these little parking machines and then you don't have to pay. So you could maybe do that if you had a smaller car, not an SUV. So I go around, get stuck in between the pay machine and the wall. And then I just keep gunning it. And I like, and then I back out. And then I get back out.
Starting point is 01:13:47 And I finally wiggle my way out. And I look at the damage of my car. Called AAA, it was like over $5,000. never got it fixed, and Hilton looked at the footage, and they were like, yeah, you can pay us $1,000, and we're doing you a favor to help fix the parking machine. They saw you on the footage. Oh, yeah, it was all there.
Starting point is 01:14:02 Going back and forth. My tire tracks are probably still there. I would actually love to watch that video. So you'd probably say that was the... The Domestic! Well, I'm surprised Scoob, Steve doesn't have one. He's got a story for everything, but Scooby, you're just going to pass on this one?
Starting point is 01:14:15 Some of them could be incriminating and getting trouble. Yeah. He was the hitchhiker, you picked up. Oh, he did look like it. It was the hitchhiker. All right, thank you all for your stories. That's a segment we call. That was the dumbest thing.
Starting point is 01:14:28 Or Amy and Eddie, almost. Yeah, that's pretty dumb guys. What's up, everybody? Thank you guys for hanging out. Hey, we just released some more tickets to my two shows in Nashville on June 17th and June 18th. It's a comedy show. Also, a little motivational section there. So if you guys want to come out, we'd love to see you.
Starting point is 01:14:46 Just go to bobbybones.com. We'll link them there or cmaeater.com. But come to Nashville, see the town, go to a show, June 17th and 18th. All right, let's get over for the most important segment of the day. It's the stories of the day. Bobby's Big. Stories. A flight attendant with Frontier Airlines is being praised because she helped deliver a baby in the middle of a flight.
Starting point is 01:15:10 That's crazy. You don't think when you're going out that day, you're going to be delivering a baby. Yeah. The company identified the flight attendant as Diana Geraldo, according to the Facebook page of the company. The delivery happened during a recent flight from Denver. to Orlando. She took the expecting mother back to the bathroom and assisted in giving birth. That's just it. That's what they say. The plane did land early. They had a detour. And they say that the middle name of the kid, thankfully, the baby's name is not like Frontier, after Frontier Airlines. Yeah. But they did name
Starting point is 01:15:39 the middle name is Sky. Nice. That's cute. Even Frontier would have been cool as a middle name. I'm just glad they didn't do like, all right, we're going to name him flight attendant. That's from Fox 7, Austin. A new poll shows that more. more Americans use TV and movies to distress other than anything else. So it's mostly just, well, I'm stressed out. Put it on night court. Good show. All right, let's put it back on Roseanne.
Starting point is 01:16:03 Well, so that's number one. What is yours, Amy? Your number one de-stressor. My number one go-to is definitely walking. But, I mean, honestly, sometimes it's nighttime and it's for bed, and I can't go for a walk. So I watch Snap. You watch Snap the TV show? Yes.
Starting point is 01:16:17 That seems stressful. My number one is playing PlayStation. Yeah. I can actually not think about anything else other than I play two games, Madden and NBA 2K. And that's it. I don't play any other games that make me any cooler any less cool. But I only play sports goods, manly. Yeah, manly.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Totally. That's my masculine thing. But I do. That keeps my mind off of whatever I'm sitting down to take my mind off of. Eddie, you? Golf and fishing. What golf stresses me out? It does?
Starting point is 01:16:44 I get mad the whole time. Oh, man. I love being outside. And then fishing, I was imagining myself like, all right, you're the fish. How would you follow that base? imagine yourself. You're the fish. You're the caught.
Starting point is 01:16:52 Yeah, like, yeah, yeah. When you're buying food to take out, how much, if anything, do you tip? That's the question from UGov America. You're buying food. You're taking it out. There's the line. What do you tip, Amy? I typically just now do the 20% ever since the pandemic.
Starting point is 01:17:08 On a takeout? On a takeout? Because I know that the service industry was hit really hard. That wasn't my norm. I'd probably just add a few bucks here and there depending on. But now I just take the total. I'm like, you know what? they need this more than I do here's 20%.
Starting point is 01:17:23 In a poll, 21% of people said 6% to 10%. A bunch of people said nothing. What? Nothing? On takeout? Yeah, and then older people say no tip at all. And what about you? Well, it depends. If I...
Starting point is 01:17:38 110%. Well, it's just, I don't want to be one of those stories where someone's like, you came in and look, they took a picture of it and posted it. So I do go above and beyond. I'll leave it at that, but I do go above and beyond. Lunchbox? Zero. The go food is zero.
Starting point is 01:17:53 I know, but it's to go food. They just put it in a bag. I don't tip it McDonald's. I'm not going to tip at a restaurant when I get to go food. And that's for you to decide. Yeah. And you do. Don't judge me for it.
Starting point is 01:18:02 But we're not talking fast food. We're actually moving on. No, Amy, you're not talking fast food, but it's the same thing. You call in an order, they put it in a bag. You go to the speaker, they put it in a bag. Same thing. There you go. And that's you.
Starting point is 01:18:14 Good for you, buddy. Thank you. All right. Jerry Lee Lewis and Keith Whitley, among the 2022 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees. Here is a little Keith Whitley for you. And really the one that hits you in the heart when you listen to the words, don't close your eyes.
Starting point is 01:18:35 Which, if you listen to that song, he's saying, hey, don't close your eyes and imagine him because I know you're thinking about him. Just let it be me this time. That's so sad. Man. Ouch. Jerry Lee Lewis.
Starting point is 01:18:47 also inducted, here's Great Balls of Fire. Also, Joe Galante's going in, who is a big executive, who has been super cool to me, and awesome for him too. So he's actually stood up for me in some of those meetings where people are like, oh, we can't put him in, he's in radio. Or these other radio companies are like, put him in, we're blackball on the show. So I always appreciate that when someone does that for me. Also, the U.S. News and World Report unveiled its annual report on the best places to live. Here we go. We'll start at number seven.
Starting point is 01:19:22 Fayetteville, Arkansas. It's a great one. Number six, Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina. Number five, San Jose, California. Boulder at four. Green Bay, Wisconsin at three. Sounds fun, but I'll pass. It's too cold.
Starting point is 01:19:36 Frozen Tundrum? It's too cold. I love people from Wisconsin, but it's too cold. Too cold. At number two, Colorado Springs. And at number one, you're right down the road from here. Huntsville, Alabama. There you go. Other cities to note, Austin, Texas at 13, Nashville at 25, Little Rock at 87, New York City at 120, Los Angeles 128, and McAllen, Texas, home of...
Starting point is 01:20:00 Way! That's my hometown! That was he did last. 138. Oh, wow. Oh, geez, Luis. I thought we'd break the top 50 at least. That means one per state.
Starting point is 01:20:08 If you can do that. That's from the U.S. News. There you go. From CNBC, MasterC just announced some new tech that lets you pay with your face or your hand in stores instead of swiping a card. So what's going on is they have new technology. You go through and they do some facial recognitions, fingerprint scan, fingerprint scanning, and voila, you get your stuff. It's dangerous. I don't like it.
Starting point is 01:20:29 I know that's what you're going to say. But let me say this to you. They already have our face everywhere. Yeah. Why not benefit a little bit from, and I'm not advocating for it universally. We are facially recognized on social media. every time in every camera on every corner if you don't think they know where we are all
Starting point is 01:20:46 the time you're out of your mind. How many times have you lost your credit card or gotten it stolen? None? Yeah, people lose that all the time. This time it's going to be your face. They're going to own your face. But people have diamond rings on all the time. Fingers aren't getting cut off everywhere you go. You think people are going to show up holding a head and be like, I'd like to buy
Starting point is 01:21:01 the scared. That's funny. Like what? That's a good one. That's not. That's the worst case scenario. I get that people know where we are. That's actually not the part that scares me. What scares me is like how easy it is to shop and how I see my kids. Like, we at least grew up with the understanding of like handling money. And then now it's so hard to explain to my kids what money actually is and then swiping your credit card. And then now they're just going to think they just have to walk up and buy things.
Starting point is 01:21:24 And then you just end up spending more than you have. And it just creates more debt because it's so easy to shop. My counterpoint is we didn't learn about debt because credit cards were new when we were kids. So it wasn't able to be taught to us with parents who knew it as well, where we do. And I think, if anything... We can educate them. Yes. Our parents didn't know what the crap is going on either.
Starting point is 01:21:44 That's why we don't. But we have learned it. I think that generational... Maybe I'm just worried about myself shopping too much. Maybe I'm literally worried about myself because sometimes honestly, because I don't have my credit card, I'm like, okay, I'm probably not going to shop today. Wish my face worked.
Starting point is 01:21:57 And what if you're just walking by and your face accidentally gets scanned? Because you're just walking like that. Now you guys are creating problems. Finally. Celebrity Jeopardy to debut on ABC in the fall. All right, Scoooseve, what do you want to say about this? I know you say you have something. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:11 Go ahead. Here we go. You're a Quiz Bowl captain, right? All right. Or champion? From seventh grade to 12th grade, I was captain of the team. Yes, and I think someone who is a captain of Quiz Bowl should be on Celebrity Jeopardy. We need to get your managers on this thing.
Starting point is 01:22:23 Well, here's what I have to say about that. Breaking news? Yes. I'm not going to do it. Oh. I don't want. Why? I'm going to lose the experience.
Starting point is 01:22:32 I think you would love it. It would be a really cool thing and fun thing for you. Yeah. We never thought you would win dancing with the stars and you want it. Exactly. I think you can win it. What do you say? You didn't think I went to dance with them?
Starting point is 01:22:42 No, I really didn't. That would be fun. I just also don't think, I think they're looking for real celebrities, not fake celebrities who are almost. Or when people say that to me like, hey, what's it like? And I'm like, what is it like? What being mildly known in rural areas around America? That's funny.
Starting point is 01:22:59 I mean, if that were an option here, mildly known people in rural areas across America Jeopardy, I'd sign up. I don't know. You're selling yourself short, man. Nothing. I just reading a headline. We can't submit you? No. We submit you without telling you. You submit and try to convince them I'm a celebrity. No, no, no. He's a celebrity. We promise.
Starting point is 01:23:18 Those were Bobby's Big. Stories. All right, live music in studio. Coming up next. Eddie, you wearing socks? I have socks on, yes. Prepare to have them knocked off. Oh, my. Cadillac 3 is coming in. Their awesome line. Amy, you wearing socks? No. Watch you out because Eddie's socks are coming in towards your head.
Starting point is 01:23:33 That's right. Cadillac 3 coming in to perform next. Starting point is 01:27:07 APUS. That's AMU. On the Bobby Bones show now. The Cadillac 3. Hey, John, I saw a picture of you and you were in a pool. It was you, and I think it was maybe one a little big town shirtless. Jimmy, I think, to be fair. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:26 Maybe. I don't know, it was like a bunch of you guys were in the poll together. Who was in that picture? It was me, Jimmy, Karen, Miranda, and her husband, How did you guys all end up in the pool? We like to party together. We're on the road with Miranda in a little big town right now on the bandwagon, bandwagon, bandwagon, off the bandwagon tour. Yeah, it's definitely off right now.
Starting point is 01:27:49 But we were down in West Palm Beach and they had this pool at the venue and we decided it was, you know, Bloody Mary Margarita time about, I don't know, 930, 10 in the a. In the morning? Yeah, that was good. It was good, Bobby. You would have loved it. So you drank a couple of margarita. is. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:06 And you got in the poll at 9, 10 a.m. Then do you have to go on reset yourself before the show? Well, in theory, Bobby, you do. That night, we kind of all picked our battles there. We were like, I mean, for Cadillac, we only have to play 35 minutes on that show. So I'm like, I can pretty much do anything for 35. Well, not everything. But, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:28:27 But so they have to play a little longer. So I just kept it going. The tough part was the encore at the end when I go back out with them and sing, let it be by the Beatles. You know, I got to go up and when I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me. So I go, and I find myself in hands when I'm here, I'm feeling on the sun I see. And then everybody laughs and it's great.
Starting point is 01:28:50 And then I leave. You're drinking something in a can now and it's early. Well, it's just soda water. Okay. Well, I didn't know. You said. I usually start with Waterloo and then we edge into the, you know, whatever. But yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:01 So creatively, as far as the group goes here, like what's, what's the thing? happened with you guys? Last two years crazy for everybody, obviously. I feel like that's the way everybody always prefacees with what's going on. But we we've been hit real hard by the whole thing. My dad died
Starting point is 01:29:18 and all this stuff and we kind of had to regroup. We took six months off again after the pandemic. And now we're back and we're, we just actually started the new record yesterday and it's going good. We're actually in the studio all this week right in on the street here. So
Starting point is 01:29:33 feeling very creative. It's a lot of fun, better spirits now, and we're out in the road with Miranda and Little BitTown, so it's pretty cool, man. When you take a break and you take six months to, you know, kind of just re-examine, see where you are creatively, get your personal lives lined up, do you feel like you come back with a different creative spirit than you would have otherwise? You hope to, you know? I mean, that's one thing that the beginning of the COVID thing had for at least me in particular the Tabasco and Sweet Tea record it gave us a time to just sit
Starting point is 01:30:05 and really concentrate on that and do something different completely unexpected and I think with our band that's kind of where we always kind of want to keep people we don't want Bobby Bone sitting there going away I know what those guys is not you know it's not a little Big Town or Dirks or you know whoever all these people that
Starting point is 01:30:21 do things that are very expected actually a little bit down that's wrong they do different things but and Dirks could be on a mountain or he could be on a beach. I'm not sure where he's at. So those were two bad examples, but Eli Youngben, no. The Cadillac 3's here.
Starting point is 01:30:38 We're set up. We're going to do a couple songs and talk a little more. What would you guys like to play first? I think we're going to do Tabasco and Sweetie, just because I like it. That's a good enough reason for me. If you like it, we're good to go. All right, Cadillac 3, here we go.
Starting point is 01:30:49 Bobby Bone Show. Every kiss, a hundred thousand degrees. Burn you up, burn you up, weak in the knees. That's good. Every touch. Ice cream. I'm talking bluebell hot, fudging,
Starting point is 01:31:30 you know what I mean, that good sweet. Mm, yeah. I said, well, she's hard of that pastoral with black top down in Daytona, a sudden little sizzle you could fry an egg on it. She's sweet and she's sweet, and she'll dance a sweet tea. The man ma'all made straight. Sugar water makes me want to lay her down, pussy.
Starting point is 01:32:00 Sugar on. When God made my baby well They must have been a rockin' that bartender It made one hell of a concoxia for me They seat the basket and sweet tea Come on That's awesome, man Holy crap
Starting point is 01:32:34 That's awesome, guys. Great job. Okay. Thank you, man. On the Bobby Bones show now. The Cadillac 3 Uh, indulge me for a second, Jared. I'm just going to list off some of the songs because you've written as a songwriter.
Starting point is 01:32:46 Are you cool with that? You're not going to get embarrassed or anything because you're so successful? Just make me look bigger than I am, Bobby. Come on. Jaron wrote, and no need for clips right there. These are such big songs. People will know them just by me saying them.
Starting point is 01:32:59 Keith Urban and Eric Church, raise them up. Keith Urban, you're going to fly. Jake Owen, American Country Love Song. Jake Owen Beachin, Billie Currington Donut. Tim McGraw, meanwhile, back at Mommas, Tim McGraw, Southern Girl, Frankie Ballard, Sunshine, and Whiskey. Do songs just come to you when you're sleeping,
Starting point is 01:33:14 when you're in the shower, what's the deal? I mean, not when we're doing a Cadillac 3 record, obviously, because those have not done as well as the other songs. I think it's different every time. Like whenever, you know, I remember Jonathan Singleton, who's another successful song about in town telling me he hears him in the shower. I don't hear anything in the shower. Usually you get in there and somebody says something cool
Starting point is 01:33:36 or you write something down when you're drinking beer at the end of the night, and you're like, oh, how would that fit to music? And then it kind of just happens, you know. Ashley Gourley just walks in and says, I got this title, American Country Love Song. I'm like, that's great. How do you not write that? And so we did.
Starting point is 01:33:51 So you talk about the Cadillac 3 writing these songs, and I was going to ask, but you mentioned it last segment. You guys are doing it now, like you're doing the record now. So what is that, what's that timetable from when that new single or that new music we get comes out? It's, you know, probably sooner than later now because it's, everything seems like it moves a lot quicker these days. you used to spend a lot of times on records. I think right now we're actually trying to take our time, but we're going to start putting out songs pretty quickly. We recorded
Starting point is 01:34:21 one yesterday, and we're probably going to put it out next week. Love to hear it. You know what I mean? It's that kind of world we live in now. And I think the fans really appreciate that and love to get in the content as soon as they can. One of my favorite songs from you guys was White Lightning, man. That was just, I don't know
Starting point is 01:34:39 why that song didn't crush. Go ahead. He's like, he knows exactly where I'm going to go with that. I played it. I know you played it. But nobody else was... I couldn't get people to jump on. I sit at your text and I was like, dude, thank you for playing White Lightning.
Starting point is 01:34:51 And he goes, who this? New phone. Come on, Bones. Okay, enough of that. But it was... You mentioned it, so I'm only going to follow your lead here. You say, you can't get the Cadillac 3 in that same spot with these number one songs. What's the disconnect?
Starting point is 01:35:09 It's not you guys. Super talented. Great. all three of you together. I mean, love all of you. Where is that, is it kind of like a, just, I like to dumb it down for myself, another group that struggles with this a bit, and I'm not comparing you to at all, but it's Brothers Osborne has a struggle of. They can't get some people to commit to their sound because that's slightly different and they're slightly different. Is that, you think where it is? I think, you know, and TJ and John, obviously
Starting point is 01:35:34 dear friends of ours, I think we all kind of have the mindset of do what you do, and hopefully it gets to the point where people don't have a choice, but not to play it, it's become a sound that's in demand. And chasing something seems out of the realm of what we would do or Brothers Osborne would do. You know, we'd much rather just go sell a thousand tickets everywhere we go and, you know, do that and live that kind of thing and not have to be like, you know, whatever.
Starting point is 01:36:02 And we give those songs to whoever wants to go. You know what I mean? And you still get to checks. They come to the mailbox right there. So it's kind of a win-win. you know. So on this next record, have you changed creatively in the, since 2000?
Starting point is 01:36:20 I mean, that last record came out in 2020, right? Am I right on that? Yeah. So it's been a bit of time. Yeah. It's the longest we've ever taken to do anything. Are you guys in a different place creatively where there could be a little more of bum-d-d-d-d-d-dun-d-dum.
Starting point is 01:36:34 I think, you know, I think it's going to be a little bit of both. I think we kind of really want to go heavy on this next record because we, it's interesting. And T.J. and John and all of us have this. conversation all the time about how it's like so great to go out and play shows and play these things that are just aggressive that would never be on the radio but you see the way that the fan reacts to them and so it's like in our perfect world we do these things and record them right to where they work both worlds so so you'll record both both songs that fit all spectrums look at
Starting point is 01:37:04 Eric church right he cuts drink a little drink smoke a little smoke or he'll cut what is the what was the big the heavier one but he's got a high tenor country voice, right? I'm down here, and then TJ and John, you know what I mean? So it's like, it's a little easier sell when Eric does it, but I think we'd like to record things in our own way that would still work at radio, but
Starting point is 01:37:25 it's going to take people putting up the pirate flags and getting weird, you know? I mean, that's just realistic, you know? Well, I admire that. Love your music, big fans of you guys. I like it during a show when, like, these 80s shows, like, all right, we'll go around, on the drums, Neil! And then you do your drum.
Starting point is 01:37:41 I like to get a little of that now if you guys I'd like to do it though. Is that cool? Yeah, yeah, all right. All right, ladies of Jennifer, you've been here all night. You're exhausted, just sweating. Let me introduce the band on the drums. And background vocals, kneel. Okay, pretty short.
Starting point is 01:38:01 But you know what? Fine, okay, all right. All right, all right. A lot of strings. Right now he's got on his lap. I'm not done, Cali, I said wait. It's Kelby.
Starting point is 01:38:20 I think I just had a seizure from that. And finally, I'll leave vocals and guitar. Jaron. Hey, man. All right, there we have it. That's the acoustic version of that. Let me get some, if you guys are cool with it. Will you play White Lightning?
Starting point is 01:38:36 Yeah, yeah. I would love to, Bobby. Thank you for asking. She stole my heart. A faster than a heat-seeking missile on the mission Faster than a bass to the hook when dirty fission Faster than a wall, nothing rolls off an end house Faster than a whiskey shot goes down down south
Starting point is 01:39:02 I saw a white light then I saw a white light down Fassar than McQueen running in red light Faster than a two boys jump in that heels out Faster than if I could shake for our own Fasted in the spirit flying on row I say Ooh, I saw a light now
Starting point is 01:39:34 I saw I saw a That's a great job, man That's them That's the Cadillac 3 You guys go follow them on Instagram and Twitter At the Cadillac and the number 3 When you get the new record or song done If it's the one you guys feel like
Starting point is 01:41:10 Is the single, let me know I will put it on the National Countdown show, so that it'll be a couple hundred stations. We'll do a little premiere here on this show as well. I won't be little, but I like to say that, so I make myself seem humble, which is hard. And then from there, we'll at least give it a little kick in the pants to start.
Starting point is 01:41:26 So just, if you put something out that you're like, this is just our first taste, it's not really what we're aiming for. When you get that one, Jaron text me and I'll be like, who this. But then I'll go, you got it, and then we'll do it, all right? I appreciate it. I think you guys are so good.
Starting point is 01:41:40 Thanks, buddy. You know, just to hear you guys perform live, It doesn't remind me because I already knew, but it just reminds me that I need to be out front kind of waving that pirate flag. Although I'm not that crazy, I can still hold a flag up, you know? Yeah, man, of course, man. Well, we appreciate you having us, man.
Starting point is 01:41:53 Thank you, Bobby. Always. There they are. The Cadillactery. Appreciate you guys. We'll be back in a minute. Nice job, guys. Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:42:02 Boney up the day. This story comes to us from Japan. A fire chief was being annoyed while he's in the backyard by a B. He was like, get away from me, B, get away. And so finally he got a road flare threw the road flare at it there goes the grass starts a huge fire, has to call the fire department
Starting point is 01:42:21 takes about 30 minutes to put it out Lucky it and spread and become one of those crazy wildfires Yeah and he's the fire chief That's what's crazy You had to call his own crew Well that's why he had a road flare Because otherwise you normal do you don't have a road flare Yeah
Starting point is 01:42:35 Yeah But do you feel like you can just throw road flares If you are the fire chief Because you know your homies can come put it out for quick I guess so. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Tomorrow morning, Lainey Wilson's on the show, who I love, and she has that song,
Starting point is 01:42:51 I know a few things a man all to know. I know a few things a man ought to know. She's known Lany for a long time. She's just killing it right now. What's funny was, a little fun fact about Lainty that isn't that fun. I was tagged on something on Instagram, and I was like, oh, cool. Someone had sold an autographed Lainey Wilson post. with a private message that she had written someone and somebody bought it and was like, oh, I bought this Lanny Wilson poster.
Starting point is 01:43:18 And then you turn around on the message was the message she wrote me. I never got the poster. Oh my. Whoa. I don't know. Who? Who? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:43:25 It's a whole thing. Did some. Ray? Someone in here? Ray. Ray. That's hilarious. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:31 So it says, it's a, hey, thank you. And she just talks about some of our, like, memories. Because again, I'm lucky enough to have known Lainey a long time. and someone took the poster, stole it, sold it, because it was an autographed message, somebody bought it, and then the buyer posted it and was like, this is so cool. And whoever Bobby is, they got a nice, and I was like, I never saw it. So anybody want to come forward? Wow.
Starting point is 01:43:56 You sure you didn't sell it for cash or anything? Right now. Here's the thing, I'll be honest with you. Because there have been times, but not right now. I'm not strapped right now. I'm doing okay. You're good now. I might need it later.
Starting point is 01:44:06 I'm okay. But yeah, whoever you are, if you're in this room, and you stole that poster Eddie keeps looking at lunchbox I just have a camera on him I mean because that means someone took it either it never made it directly to you and somehow was intercepted
Starting point is 01:44:21 or it made it here and then someone took it out of your office before you saw it let's save no no I'm into text her yesterday and I forgot let's save it let's bring around tomorrow I don't want to bring it up because that could be awkward and then scuba already looks like he's trying to figure something out
Starting point is 01:44:34 so we'll talk about it next not tomorrow she'll be here next week and we'll figure it who's the stealer. Whoever they are, we're just going to fire alive on the air. Love it. Yeah, we'll have a whole ceremony. Unless it's scuba.
Starting point is 01:44:45 Boy, what a twist that would be. No, it's not. Okay, all right. Morgan, what did you want to say? I know you had something important to say here. Well, I just want to shout out the listeners because I'm walking in a dog fashion show for a humane association, and the listeners helped me raise over $1,200 in one night to go and do it.
