Starting point is 00:02:54 fin.com. Own the dream. Hey, welcome. Glad everybody's here. Morning studio. Morning. Hey, so I mentioned on the show earlier this week that I have a new thing I'm trying. I've turned off all notifications on my phone. It doesn't vibrate. It doesn't ring. If I look at it and there's something, I get back to it. And for me, it's been like a seven pound weight off my back because I'm not hearing my email
Starting point is 00:03:29 or my text to go all the time. However, it has brought pain to certain people's lives. Eddie has said, please put your notifications back on. Please, I hate it. The other day, I sent you something, and it took you like two hours to respond to me. Come on, it wasn't even on phone for two hours. And I kept looking, I'm like, oh, there's nothing to that. Like, he hasn't responded yet.
Starting point is 00:03:49 And then two hours later, finally, I'm like, dude, turn this thing back on. I think it's making me a bit phone healthier, too. I love my phone. Wish I could have a long relationship with it in many ways. Man, back in the day, two days ago, three days ago, you would respond right away and I loved it. But since I'm not getting texts and emails all the time, I'm not constantly going back to it for something and then going, well, let me get on Twitter and let's see what's going on here. You feel better? Yeah, I like it.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Yeah, I like it. And I even have some group texts that I've shut off completely. Unless I go check it, I don't even know there are messages there. Wow. Yeah, really. That's hardcore. I'm going to live in the woods soon. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:22 This is going to escalate quickly if I know me. We broadcast it from deep in the woods in Malinaida, Arkansas. Am I the only one complaining about this or any of the other friends? Well, Amy and I will text a little or FaceTime. We never call. Well, she'll call me, but I never answer. Well, that's not true. That's not true.
Starting point is 00:04:41 You answer. It goes a long time. I know if Amy calls. You need an hour. Yes. No. I have to be in the right time and mind space. First of all, you don't.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Second of all, you answer and you're like, what's wrong? Yes, because I need to get to the point. No, you assume if I'm calling something's wrong. That's correct. Thank you. Eddie, we don't... I don't like FaceTiming, Eddie, because he'll answer the FaceTime at any point. I feel like if you FaceTime me, you need me, whatever I'm doing, I will answer.
Starting point is 00:05:10 He'll be on the toilet. It's the toilet. Or he's in the bed and just his underwear. Sometimes, yes. So, but I don't really talk on the phone a lot, but no one else has complained, right, guys? No. Yeah, it's actually... I'm a little healthier, feeling better.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Good for you, then. All day, all night. My screen time's down 9%. Oh, wow. You got that notification? That's cool. That's cool. I told you I bought a Kindle, though, so I'm on that screen.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Different screen. Rating books on a different screen. All right, let's go over and open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. I'm the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding.
Starting point is 00:05:47 She's been pretty easy to please, except she is requiring her wedding party to stay at the hotel where the reception is taking place. This wouldn't be a problem except that the hotel is $300 bucks a night. We're staying two nights. and I was planning on staying at a hotel 10 minutes down the road for $115 a night. I mean, I can afford the extra money, but I've spent so much on her bachelorette party, bridesmaids, dress, presents, etc.
Starting point is 00:06:10 I was really hoping to cut back on the hotel cost. When I asked for her reasoning, she said she wants us all to be together. I need some advice. I don't want to be a bad maid of honor, but also don't understand her request. What are your thoughts? Thank you, made of honor, not made of money. Pretty funny. Good one.
Starting point is 00:06:28 this is a common theme with people who are asked to be in weddings and who are asked to kind of spend, spend, spend. Amy, I think you're closest to this as far as you've been in weddings. What do you got here? Well, I think as brides, because I've also been a bride, we just need to have more of an understanding of what we're asking of people. And if she wants to go stay somewhere else, she can stay as long as possible to hang out. But if she wants to go to a different hotel to save basically $200 a night. So you're talking $400 total, which is a ton of money. You let your maid of honor do that.
Starting point is 00:07:06 You can't ask that much of people, especially if she's going to be right down the road. Like, what's the big deal? Alternatively, she could see if some other girls want to get together and they share a room and split it, something like that if she doesn't want to have a confrontation, but it doesn't have to be a negative interaction. She can just explain the situation and the hope that the bride understands. She probably won't. Most brides that I have known are, they have the perfect plan.
Starting point is 00:07:33 It needs to all be perfect. They're all going to be in the same place. I think the option of splitting a room with someone who probably also feels the same way, I think that's good, but unless they have like their husband or boyfriend with them, you know? Yep, true. I think you probably just have to go to her and say, hey, are you sure that you have to have us all staying here because 300 bucks a night? Like, that's so expensive. and if she is unrealistic with her expectations,
Starting point is 00:07:59 I think because it's money, I don't think it's bad to push back a little bit. Yeah. Be like, I can't. Yeah. You can literally just say you can't. Like, I can't right now. I've spent so much.
Starting point is 00:08:08 I need because of the money we've already spent to go stay in this cheaper hotel. Yep. In a kind way, set that boundary for yourself and be like, I will stay as long as you want me to and I'll hang out. But when the time comes and everyone's going to bed, I'm going to get an Uber back to this hotel 10 minutes. Well, I wouldn't be that comfortable.
Starting point is 00:08:24 with your tone. Well, I'm saying if she pushes back on it, then I'm going to have to get firm. I would just say, I wouldn't get firm. I would actually go to the opposite. I'd be like, I literally can't. I don't have the money to do this. Well, she just said she can.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I know, but it doesn't matter what she. Well, her friend might know. We're just trying to get out of this with no confrontation. And the happiest wedding ever. Okay. I would just say, I literally can't afford it. Not right now. I've already spent so much.
Starting point is 00:08:44 I can't afford to spend another 600 bucks on hotel rooms. Yeah. And also know that when people are getting married, there's so much going on in their head all the time, planning people, relatives, making sure everybody's thinking care of that they're not thinking rational because it's not a rational time. And don't hold it against her, the bride. No one's in their right mind. So then that's when you say, look, I know you're not thinking rationally right now, so. Yeah, don't do that. Or you just go and you just get the other room and don't say anything about it.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Then you just leave when everybody else leaves. You're like, all right, I'm going to go up to my room. And you do the whole elevator up and then you sneak out at the end. This can be handled. Yeah, good luck with that. It's a common thing. where a bride's asking people to spend too much money, if you don't have the money, you've got to raise your hand and say that. Like, as brides, though, like, think if you're listening right now and you happen to be getting married and you might get married one day,
Starting point is 00:09:33 like, just check yourself and be like, hey, I want to be as understanding as possible on my wedding day. You can say you want, you want this, but maybe you can be like, if she wants everyone to stay in that hotel, I'm going to pay for the hotel for you guys to stay there. You know what I mean? Like, I think people getting married are so easily to say, like, I want this. Well, you have to pay for that. you want. Yeah, but that doesn't happen. And the culture of it is, you just say you want and the people do it. Because some brides are like, I want this to be my bridesmaids dress and it's
Starting point is 00:10:01 this expensive, but they're not going to buy it for every, yeah. You're fine here. You're fine here. Just go and say, hey, I can't afford it. Look at all this other stuff I've spent money on. I can't afford it. Are you cool if I stay down the road? I'll be there the whole time, like Amy said. And I think it'll be fine. And if they have a slumber party, you'll be there. Whatever they do. And then if it goes bad, then I guess goes bad. lost friends. You just don't, you're not in the wedding. On their wedding night. You're the maid of honor. I think you'll be okay. I think if you remind her
Starting point is 00:10:28 to be understanding, she'll be understanding. Yeah, ooh, and say that. Say, you know, I'm so honored to be your made of honor, but I'm not made of money. Like she signed it. I wouldn't do that. All right, there you go. That's the mailbag. Thank you for sending this in. All right, close it up. We got your email and we
Starting point is 00:10:44 read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. There's something for everyone on Discovery. Starting point is 00:14:02 Sure, bud. Next one up. How many signs are there in the Zodiac? In the Zodiac? What do you think the Zodiac is? I don't know. That's like where your birthday is. Like when you're born?
Starting point is 00:14:22 Because I'm a Leo. There's a Sagittarius. and they overlap. Like, mine is this to August. August is this. Gosh, we'll go with 24. That's incorrect. Oh, that's a good guess,

Starting point is 00:14:47 I don't. I don't know. I don't know. Seven. Incorrect. That's a bad guess. Basically. Well, Lunchbox, by your logic, that means there's like two a month.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Right, there is. Cancer and Leo or July. Guys, relax with each other. There are 12. Once a month, but not really per hour. Oh, I thought that there was, okay. That's why I got confused. They tricked me.

Starting point is 00:17:54 I think you should go book an appointment with the dermatologist ASAP and get this looked at. Well, turns out it was cancer. And she was able to get it removed, but all because her hairdresser noticed something on her scalp, which oftentimes we can't see all over our scalp and what's going on there. Shout out to... Oh, that's so rude.
Starting point is 00:18:11 What? Because I'm bald. Funny. Funny, but rude. And I can't see the back of my head. That's my ball spot. When are you... Because we've talked about it before.
Starting point is 00:18:20 When are you thinking about shaving it? I don't know. You brought this up. I only bring it up because you've allowed it to be brought up. I don't know yet. I don't know. I mean, I still have enough hair to not shave it all, so... I feel like it's more sensitive than I would have expected.
Starting point is 00:18:33 I mean, because it's getting there. It's getting worse. But you open the door for me to have this conversation. Sure. But I bring it up. up and now it's it's natural my hair's falling out but the problem is it's in the back of my head so I don't see it as often like Amy's talking about like I don't see that it's in the front a little bit too sure but that one I don't mind that one so bad you don't no it's the back where like I see in a mirror
Starting point is 00:18:54 sometimes I'm like whoa it's really ball back there I guess I don't notice the back because I wear a hat yeah maybe yeah yeah what are you saying yes it's the hat he has like he has the baseball caps during the day but then at night he always wears that no farming yes No, what are you guys? He has like that hipster hat that he wears. Oh, to perform. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think it looks good.
Starting point is 00:19:14 I think it looked good with a shaved. Yeah, I don't know. We'll get there. My dad's shaved, and I feel like as soon as I shave, I'll be straight looking exactly like my dad. When you do it, will you do it here? No. Yeah, I don't want you to do it here. Why?
Starting point is 00:19:26 We can do it. It's his own thing. No, I'd do it in privacy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. My barber shop. All right. Thank you. That's good story.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Yours is good. Eddies will get there with you together. It's a little sad. All right, that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. On the phone now is Tyler, who is a pilot, and there's just been so many of these stories about people going absolutely bonkers on airplanes, mid-flight. Hey, Tyler, as a pilot, how do you handle these situations?
Starting point is 00:19:55 Really, we just leave it up to the flight attendants, and we were lying on them. If we're locked up front and we see what's going on on on the back, we rely on their information. But if they can get the passengers subdued, depending on our... how far away from your destination you are, you continue on. But if you're two hours from your destination, we'll definitely divert. And so what do you say if you're diverting to the people in the sky? Like, you're like, all right, we got to go because we got an idiot on aisle three. Like, what do you say to those people going out? You need to land and obviously have to have
Starting point is 00:20:26 clearance to land in a small town? What's that procedure? Usually we don't really have a whole lot of time at that point to make an announcement to the passengers. But if we do, we'll just say due to unforeseen circumstances, we're having to divert. Of course, everybody in the back sees what's going on. They know exactly what we're doing anyway. But if we have time, we try to keep our pastor's updated as best as possible. I would think if there's a jerk on the plane who won't stop. And everybody's like, sit down.
Starting point is 00:20:54 And he won't sit down. He's yelling. But when the pilot gets up and goes, we have to divert, I would expect him to get jumped then. Yeah. Like his punishment is now, it's now time to be punished because you're diverting all of us. Like, that's probably when I would be super mad. So when you land, when you've had to divert, then what do you have to do before you can get back up?
Starting point is 00:21:12 So you'll have security, police, meet at the gate. They'll come on. We'll ask everybody to remain seated. They'll come on, escort the passenger off. And then depending on if we need gas, we'll get gas, get a new flight plan, and then head out for wherever we were initially intended to go. Can I ask you about plane crashes for a second? No, I'm just obsessed. I hate flying. I fly all the time, but I hate it. I'm scared to death. Have you ever hit turbulence so hard you thought you might crash?
Starting point is 00:21:44 No, not so bad that we might crash. But air kind of acts like water. So if you're on the lake, on, let's say July 4th, right? And there's all these boats out there, and the water is really rough. It's rough going over the water. It's essentially the same as in the air. You have rough air. You've got the jet stream. You've got weight from other airplanes, but it's not just going to fall out of the sky. So whenever the plane goes, boom, with turbulence and things that are sitting on the little table fly and hit the top of the – when that happens, there isn't one percent of you that goes, we're going down, Chuck. No, sir, no. Because 99% of me does. I feel like, well, I'm going to die.
Starting point is 00:22:29 Have you ever been in a situation where you think turbulence aside where you go, uh-oh, we've got. in some trouble lightning, thunder, we might crash? No, we've got radar on board, and we do our best to obviously go around that. And then there's also several other airplanes in that area. You know, we fly public fruit, so we can get ride reports from the people in front of us. You know, if everybody else is diverting, that kind of gives us a good clue that we should probably go around as well. And then ATC does a really good job of giving us vectors around storms. And again, we've got iPads on board that have radar, and we've got our company that can tell us, you know, advise us what they think we should do.
Starting point is 00:23:12 So it's extremely safe. He's starting to convince me. I'm not fully buying it yet, but I have more questions. He said extremely. Sometimes I'm flying, and there's another plane that goes a little too close below us or a little too close to the side of us or a little too close to the top of us. Now, that could be human error, right, where a plane smacks another plane? Have you ever thought you're going to crash because of that? Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Again, ATC does a fantastic job of keeping separation. We've got, you know, required separation minimums that we have to maintain at all time. And ATC generally points out the traffic to us well in advance. So we see them, you know, if we need to. They'll vectures off our airway and send us around with traffic. Well, I have one more question, and I appreciate your patience. Because I'm fascinated as flying. I have two questions. Number one, tell me if I almost died this time. We were on a plane, we're on like a Southwest flight, and the pilot comes back into the cabin. That's what the tube's called, right? Come back into the cabin. And he like pulls the carpet back and then hand cranks the wheels to come out, to land. It doesn't really say what he's doing, but he's like cranking the, and then it's the wheel. You hear the wheels lock. And then he walks back up, like whistling. Nothing to see here. And then gets it, and then they land. Did we almost die?
Starting point is 00:24:28 No, no, we've got backups. So anytime we have malfunctions, we have backups on backups to kind of alleviate that situation. So that's more than likely what he was doing. All right. I thought I had another one. Has he ever lost an engine? Because you hear about that. Like, oh, we lost engine number four.
Starting point is 00:24:47 What do we do now? I have prior to my airline days, but I haven't at the airlines. All the airliners are certified to fly extremely well with. one engine or two engines. You know, if you've got four engines and you lose one, it is a knot event. Even with two engines losing one, these airplanes fly extremely well. And that's something that we practice in the team and training every year. And we're trained to fly with one engine.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Could you barrel roll a massive commercial plane if you wanted to? Only once, because you'll be fired after that. Yeah, last day. Right, like, yeah, it's senior day. Skip day. Senior skip day. And it's the last day. But you could you with your skills, not you specifically, because you would never do that, Tyler, but could someone barrel roll of Delta plane and then go? A 737. Great. That's a big one. Yes. And then later, an hour later land. I would say it is possible. Come on. Have you ever been tempted if you know you're flying like near, you know, your house or your friend's house? Are you ever tempted to just, you know, buzz it?
Starting point is 00:25:56 Oh, good question. Down low? No, no. We were probably getting pretty good trouble for that. Yeah, but all on your last day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's in your skip day, right? It's the last day before you graduate.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Okay, one final question. So have you ever landed and been like, oh, I got two questions. Have you ever landed and been like, oh, my God, I can't believe we made it? Um. Sounds like a yes to me? No. No, I don't think so. Okay, what's the next one?
Starting point is 00:26:24 I keep forgetting. I know I get so excited. I get so excited about these questions. And I've had one in queue for like five minutes. Okay, before Tyler goes here, I want to see if I can remember this last question. I was going to ask him. Oh, I got it. Do you ever, this was the one I've been thinking the whole time, when it gets up into the air and it's at an altitude, what do you call it?
Starting point is 00:26:41 What do you call it? Is that what it's called? Yes, $30,000. Oh, I got two questions. Okay, when you get to a cruising altitude, do you ever look at your copilot and go, I can't believe this thing worked? Like, I cannot believe we get this much metal in the air every single time. No, I have not. There's several, several thousand flights a day, every day throughout the world.
Starting point is 00:27:02 These things perform extremely well. But he understands the physics behind it, so he's actually probably not. It sounds like some kind of ghost medicine and magic witch stuff. Okay, last question. Is there a parachute in that plane hidden that if you need to jump, you can? There's not. Okay. Well, any final questions for Ty?
Starting point is 00:27:20 This is my favorite guest in a long time. It's completely accidental, yes. I got one, bones. Do you dump the poop in the air? And have you ever pick like, oh, my buddy. Over your buddy's house. My buddy, yeah, yeah, good one. We do not.
Starting point is 00:27:33 No, they service that in between every flight. Okay. All right. Well, Tyler, I appreciate that. You have actually made us feel more comfortable with flying. You've made us feel dumber for our questions. And this is all in all been an A plus segment. So thank you for your time.
Starting point is 00:27:48 Fantastic. I'm glad I could help. All right. All right, Tyler, see you, man. That's pretty good, huh? Yes, sir. Have a good one. I like that.
Starting point is 00:27:56 I'm still going to be scared, but I'm going to be scared knowing that I'm wrong. Okay, good. Good. Your personal data is always at risk of being stolen. Hey, Danny, where do you live in Alabama? I live in Bamanette, Alabama. What's that near?
Starting point is 00:29:10 Not far from Mobile, 30, 40 minutes, about 30 minutes for Mobile. All right, so we're going to give Danny, who lives near Mobile a chance to win some prizes. As we play the Bobby Feud, hit me with that music. the top 10 things Americans would spend their lottery winnings on. Think about that. Danny, who would you like to team up with in this category? I'm going with Lunchbox. Yeah!
Starting point is 00:29:33 The guy loves the lottery. Lunchbox, if you win, Danny wins. Let's go. So we'll take a quick break. Think about it. The top 10 things Americans would spend their lottery winnings on. We roll the dice.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Amy has the first question. She gets the chance to answer at first. The Bobby feud next Hey it's Bobby Bones The General Insurance is a quality insurance company That's been saving people money for nearly 60 years To get quality insurance for less Make the right call and go with the general
Starting point is 00:30:01 Call 800 general or visit the general.com The General Auto Insurance Services Inc. An insurance agency Nashville, Tennessee, some restrict as supply. Right here we go. Top 10 things Americans would spend their lottery winnings on Now Danny is on the phone Who lives near Mobile He has chosen lunchbox to represent him
Starting point is 00:30:19 So Lunchbox, if you win, Danny wins. That's right. But not the lottery. Not the lottery, but the prizes. Okay. Yes. Amy, there are 10 answers on the board.
Starting point is 00:30:28 What you got? A house. Show me house. That's good. The number one answer is house or real estate. So you get one point. All right. Show me car.
Starting point is 00:30:41 Cars, fancy cars, any kind of car. Cars, cars, fancy cars, any kind of cars. Show me that. At number five. Five more points for Amy. It's cards. Okay. Let's go on vacation.
Starting point is 00:30:55 We're going to take a trip. We have a lot of money. Let's go. Vacation on. Is that on there? It is at number three. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:31:03 Well, I hope a lot of these people are wise and they use it to pay off some debt. Maybe they got some school loans, a little credit card debt, something like that. Let's go. It's called debt, but I call it debit. That's how it spelled. Debt. Yep. Debt.
Starting point is 00:31:19 Show me Debt. Dead is correct. At number four. All right. Okay. Let me tell you. If I were to win the lottery, I'm going shopping. I want some new clothes.
Starting point is 00:31:32 Shoot. That your answer? Lunchbox. Top 10 things Americans would spend their lottery winnings on. Yeah. And this is easy. It's going to set their kids or their grandkids up. It's education.
Starting point is 00:31:59 Their family. They're going to spend it on the family. Oh, there's a lot in there. Show me, education on. Educational. And number six, that's correct. Man, you know, when you win the lottery, the first thing you want to do, you look out of that water and you want a watercraft.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Give me some watercraft. Like a boat, jet ski, you know, that's watercraft. Okay. Because that's not a car. Right. The first thing you do is look at the water. Uh-huh. You get watercraft. Yep.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Okay. Is watercraft on the board? At number seven. He's tied the game already. Yeah, now I'm out of them, though. Oh, no. You're in trouble now? Now I'm in trouble.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Ten answers are on the board. The top ten things Americans would spend their lottery winnings on. I mean, I don't know why you'd spend your lottery winnings on this, but a lot of people do it. It's called a stock market. Right? You buy stocks. A stock market. A stock market. Isn't that what they do?
Starting point is 00:32:56 So they would invest it. There you go. That's what you call us. Well, don't help them. You're like dialing his answers in. Well, yeah, investment. You invest it. That's what I meant. Show me a stock market.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Oh, wow. Or investing. It's not on there, though. Okay, I had investment, bones. So they have 13 points each. But Eddie, there's a lot of points on the board. 8, 9, and 10, and also number 2. Guys, you missed a good one. And I know if I won the lottery,
Starting point is 00:33:25 the first thing I would do is buy a private jet. So we can go see all these places you were talking about, Amy. Give me the jet. Give him the jet! I mean, how much did you win? I mean, a million, right? 500 million. I didn't know how much jet costs, so I don't either.
Starting point is 00:33:43 I haven't priced them, but. It would be cool. Amy. Okay. It's back over to you. You know what some people do when they win the lottery. They go buy more lottery tickets. Oh.
Starting point is 00:33:55 That's good. They play the lottery even more. Yes. Hmm. They do. We hear about it all the time. Would that be an investment like lunchbox says? No.
Starting point is 00:34:05 Show me buy more lottery tickets. You might lose. What I'm talking about. Wow. Wow. Okay. The judges say that gambling counts as buy more lottery tickets. Oh.
Starting point is 00:34:18 Oh. I also didn't think so, but it is true. Ray called it, he played it. I even shook him off and he did it anyway. I am totally out of things. What numbers are left? That was nine, though. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:34:32 She's going to win. Praise me, I just won, I think. No, you didn't. I did it? So no, don't do that. You actually didn't at all. Which ones are left? What numbers?
Starting point is 00:34:41 Two, eight, and ten. Two, eight, and ten, two. There's an obvious one. There's still 20 points on the board. Two, eight and ten. If you get any of these, though, you win. I mean, I don't, I guess you win the lottery, and then maybe you, I don't know, you get a little plastic surgery or like teeth or something. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:58 That's good. It's real good. Plastic surgery or teeth or something. Or ears, right, Amy? I don't even like using the word fix. So if you want a lottery, you would just go and be like, I'll take a new one. No. Well, one.
Starting point is 00:35:10 No, but some people might not ever spend that type of money on themselves. But like if they won the lottery, they might. So we'll just put it under plastic surgery. That's really good. Show me plastic surgery. That's great, Amy. That's good. And number 10.
Starting point is 00:35:27 No way! You clenched it. You're going to win. Okay, golly. Wow, wow, wow. There are two left here. You're going to win, so can you name them? I mean,
Starting point is 00:35:37 where he's at a house? And he's at a private jet, but I mean, would it be a helicopter? What's the obvious number two answer? Chopper. Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, electronics. Oh, like what? She just won the lottery? you're going to buy herself a PlayStation.
Starting point is 00:35:50 Show me electronics! No. Okay. Lunchbox. You're going to buy a business. Show me a business. Oh, I have that too, lunch. Eddie.
Starting point is 00:36:00 You're going to have season tickets to your favorite sports team. Show me a... Oh, that's one more round. A girlfriend or a boyfriend. Show me a escort. Amy. That's what you would do? Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:36:15 I'm just out of things. Last two. Illegal substances. me illegal something that does. And he goes, hitman. Show me a hitman. And why not? Give me hitman.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Oh, you're going to get a lawyer. Oh, no, no, no, no. That went to guess it. Why can't we guess it? Give us a hint. I already won. Well, no, it's over. Amy is the winner.
Starting point is 00:36:35 I won, but give us a hint. The number two answer is you're going to take care of your family. Lunchbox said that. Education. No, he and he got dinged for education. But like, buy them houses. Just generally take care of your family. Oh, like, okay.
Starting point is 00:36:46 I should have gone. Oh, your entourage. not education. Yeah, that's not education. Yeah, it's entourage. I got you. Well, he said family education, blah, blah, blah. But he would have got even less points for family. And the other one is, and I'm surprised, I guess I'm not surprised that a couple of you didn't go down this route. Okay, okay, okay. But Amy, it did surprise me you didn't go down this route. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Huh. Charity. You would donate. Oh, duh. Didn't even cross my mind. Didn't even cross my mind. Not even close. 10%. Danny. Yeah. Buddy, you didn't win, man. I know it.
Starting point is 00:37:20 I know. Sorry. Let's block let me down. He did. As he does sometimes. And so, because we can't give you a prize, there anything you'd like to say? You have a national audience here at your disposal.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Is there anything you would like to say right now? Roll tide. That's what, okay? That's the only thing I take it. Okay. That's your big statement. We'll take it. I can respect it.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Because I would say woo pig, but I will respect roll tide. All right, Danny. Have a great morning. Thank you, man. All right, see you later. There's something for everyone on Discovery Plus. The streaming home for armchair detectives, nature fans, and anyone who loves 90-day fiancé. Stream true crime, documentaries, relationships, and so much more for as low as $499.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Discovery Plus, start your free trial. Terms apply. All right, here is a voicemail from last night. Hey, Bobby. Did you hear about the cartwheel man? He escaped prison and is now running on foot. I mean hand. I mean foot. I mean hand. I mean foot. Bye. That's funny. That's good. You guys can leave us a voicemail all day, all night. 87777 Bobby. That's how you do it. Just leave it just like that.
Starting point is 00:38:32 Top ways to beat fatigue. Number one, go to the gym, which seems counterintuitive. And also, just wrong. Yeah. I get more tired when I go to me. Totally. Number two, a book that offers a new perspective. Yeah. And number three, extra sleep. But I, I, I find extra sleep makes me sleepier. The gym makes me more tired. Sleep makes me sleepier. So this is all crap. I feel like this. We don't have to go hard at the gym.
Starting point is 00:38:58 And extra sleep. If I'm going to do both, I got to go hard. Okay, I was just going to say, exercise will release endorphins, and that might give you some energy. But I feel like if I go to the gym and I'm spending an hour there, I need to go as hard as I absolutely can
Starting point is 00:39:10 because I need to get the most out of the time I'm putting into it. But I feel like that way with anything. Same thing with sleep. If I'm going to be able to get extra sleep, I want to sleep for 14 hours. Yeah. I want to wake up being so tired.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Because I know in the long run is going to help me. Okay. The Bible show. Here's Amy's pile of stories. All right. So you would say technology overall is amazing. Right? Well, it's led to some lost skills, though.
Starting point is 00:39:34 So skipping rocks. Oh, man. I used to be really good. You too. And all of a sudden I got an iPhone. And now I suck. Yeah. Well, no.
Starting point is 00:39:41 But one hobby that we're no longer doing or maybe out of even necessity is sewing. Like, nobody can see. sew anymore. Writing letters has gone downhill, knowing proper grammar, spelling, map reading. Proper grammar is one that makes sense. Sure. To us. Yeah, and if my phone's not working or my map or my GPS sometimes, I can't even get around town. I don't know anybody's phone number. I can't get anywhere. The phone, but sewing, come on, I didn't do that 15 years ago.
Starting point is 00:40:08 What about, could you use the compass? Yeah, but I would use it to make sure I got out of a place, more than finding a place, meaning I've been lost in the woods before. And growing up in the woods, we were taught, don't just walk a direction. You need to walk tree to tree because you can easily get off, right? Tree to tree is your north. Even if it's not north, it's how to get out. So I would use the compass in escape situations on how to straight line out of a place. So that's how I use a compass.
Starting point is 00:40:37 The speaking properly or good use of grammar and writing letters, I'm watching the Gilded Age, which is in the late 1800s, on HBO, Max, and it's so amazing. I love how they write, and I love how they speak. I mean, I like writing text and then LOLs. LOLs and emojis. I like all those. Yeah, I like to shorten it up.
Starting point is 00:40:57 Keep it cool, keep it crisp. So I'm cool with that one. What else? All right, some risky TikTok food trends. Experts are saying that you need to avoid are the following. Toaster grilled cheese sandwiches. Oh, that sounds good. I'm going to do that today.
Starting point is 00:41:10 They can do that real easily? Well, you can't, if you have a toaster where you can, like, put it in, like, I don't have that toaster oven. If you drop it down, that's not good. But probably it can work. Okay. But right? Not the cheese will probably go down.
Starting point is 00:41:23 I like that one. But like the cheese then sticks in there and you know, you have to have the proper equipment. It could cause a kitchen fire. You're going to convince me to do five of these right now, I can tell. Go ahead. Bobby, you thought you were supposed to do this. Washing raw chicken. TikTokers are doing it and there's no need and it can cause you to get sick.
Starting point is 00:41:38 It spreads germs all over your sink. Yeah, salmonella. Nacho tables. Those are a thing that are going viral. and it's where you take a whole table made of nachos. Yeah, people use like their island. You get to eat the table and the chairs? No.
Starting point is 00:41:49 What if they're in a nacho chairs to go at the nacho table? No, it's a supersized nacho platter that covers an entire table for communal grazing. But everyone eating off of that, same thing is just like not recommended. I don't like communal grazing for anything. Nachos, olives, none. Some people on TikTok are saying that if you squeeze lemon in your coffee, it helps with weight loss, blah, blah, but no, it's bad for your teeth and it's not going to do anything for weight. so just stop doing it. What about lemon and water?
Starting point is 00:42:15 Same thing. Listen, it's like something with the coffee, the acidity, and both those items put together. I think I caught you on one. No. Limit in water is different than lemon and coffee. And then sleepy chicken, something we've discussed before, but heads up, if you're soaking your chicken and night quill before you cook it so that you're hilarious. It's doing that.
Starting point is 00:42:33 But it would taste terrible. That just sounds like a prank more than people really doing that. Yeah. Okay. Eric Church was given a tiny bit of ownership to the Green Bay Packers last week. Two fans gave him the official papers while he was on stage performing in Green Bay. So, I mean, that's pretty cool. Well, anybody can buy this.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Right. For like a hundred dollars. Yeah, 100 bucks. Oh. And you can't transfer. That's actually illegal. So I'm telling the Green Bay Packers to take those back. You can't transfer that ownership.
Starting point is 00:43:00 Church goes to jail. That's right. Thanks for breaking that down. I made me. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:43:10 Stay home is something good. Michael Wingard found out his best friend needed a new kidney. He's like, man, I got to step up and donate my kidney. Only problem he wasn't a match, but then what he did set off a whole chain reaction. Listen to this. Day before his 20th birthday, he shows up at the hospital in Houston. He donates his kidney to Heather. So Heather's twin sister, Stacey, donates her kidney to Javier,
Starting point is 00:43:38 whose son-in-law then donates his kidney to Chris, whose father, David, gives his kidney to Barbara, Barbara's daughter, Lisa. Sounds like the front part of the Bible. It really does. It does. It does. Related to. Yeah. Some and so.
Starting point is 00:43:53 Yeah. But Barbara's daughter, Lisa, then gives her kidney to Michael's best friend. So he was a 10-person change. That's crazy. Wow. Now, Bobby, repeat what he just said. Well, that's Old Testament style, and I can't even repeat that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:07 How amazing. Guys, they said usually they see maybe at max six people change. Wow. This was a 10-person change. and then when they're all done, they all get put in a conference room together so they can all meet up and chat. Pretty cool. I mean, it almost feels too like an NFL trade involving four teams, so certain players need to go. So they need to get them all involved.
Starting point is 00:44:25 But this is life or death. It's awesome. I mean, and I'm sure they had to line it all up, right? Yeah, they had to line it all up. They all went on the same day. Like someone had to organize it and go, okay, to get this person the kidney, we got to somehow find this match. But make sure their person gets a kidney. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:40 Well, no one matches them. So now 10 people later, they have it. Yeah. You want to go through those names one more time? I don't. Okay, cool. But that's an awesome story. If any of them are listening.
Starting point is 00:44:50 I got Barbara, I remember Barbara. I remember Javier. I remember Dopey. Do you remember Tomas? Sleepy. Heather, Stacey, Chris, David, Barbara, Lisa, Kalan. That is great. I mean, is Michael, amazing.
Starting point is 00:45:03 He quit with like one left. Like somebody didn't get their name right. Oh, Michael. Almost missed out. All right, that's what's up. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. This is the end of Part 1.
Starting point is 00:45:13 To listen to Part 2 of The Bobby Bones Show podcast, go to Part 2 now. If it's not posted yet, don't worry. It'll be there soon. Thanks for listening.
