Starting point is 00:01:50 Here's your host, Bobby Bones. Hello. Hey, are we still on Facebook or do we move to another? No, We're on Facebook. We haven't had any luck in getting on TikTok or Instagram yet. The lives?
Starting point is 00:02:06 We're working on it. Got it. Work in progress. I want to play the jet audio from one of the jets that shot down one of those things. Come on. This is like they're talking. Yes. I saw it this morning.
Starting point is 00:02:16 I was going to play it on the show and got caught up on something else. But the pilot that shot down the unidentified object over Lake Huron Sunday couldn't really identify. You hear I'm talking about. Like it's like, it's small. But it's, but it's not cars. But here it is. It's 32 seconds long. the audio from the jet.
Starting point is 00:03:02 pretty small, I don't know, size of like a four-wheeler or something. A four-wheeler. Four-wheeler, okay. Okay, so when you hear that, what do you think, Amy? Well, what do you think about what the object is? Just in general, what thoughts come to mind? I'm scared for him. Like, if I was at there having to do that, I'd be so scared that those strings were
Starting point is 00:03:21 going to be tentacles that come and suck me in. Like, I don't know. Like, I'm thankful for him doing whatever he needed to do for his job, but he's so calm. and I'd be freaking out. Eddie? Yeah, it takes me straight to the U2 theory. Like, did you see the U2 commercial at the Super Bowl? No.
Starting point is 00:03:40 They're promoting their new tour, and there's people, and they point up to a balloon in the sky. And I'm thinking, oh, my gosh, like the theory is that you two had those balloons to announce their big world tour or whatever, and that could be it. That's interesting. I don't know that's true.
Starting point is 00:03:55 I think they're just embarrassed now, and they're like, shut up, shut up. That wasn't us. Shut up. Okay, lunchbox? Oh, yeah, it's whoever had that gender reveal party and put those balloons up are really regretting that decision right now because they're like, oh my gosh. Like, we sent those balloons up and they were supposed to like change colors to tell us if it's a boy or a girl, then they floated apart. And we're not going to say it. The fact that it was so big and he didn't mention the word balloon because he didn't say balloon.
Starting point is 00:04:20 He said it's like a balloon like. But like it in hover. Suspending. Yeah, the suspended didn't feel like floating. Yeah. Like I feel like the terms he was using felt different than if it were. just a straight-looking balloon object. You don't say size of a four-wheeler if it's perfectly balloon-shaped.
Starting point is 00:04:38 How close do you get to it? I don't know. But I heard that. I still think it's some kind of monitoring. It could be from us, too. The strings hanging down are microphones. Well, it could be, like, where it was attached to something and then just got loose, you know? And the chains are hanging or something.
Starting point is 00:04:52 I don't know. Could be anything. It could be a hot air balloon where some people in the bottom of the basket are on the ground going, God, dang it. There goes our balloon. I heard that this morning. I wanted to share it with you guys. That's crazy, man.
Starting point is 00:05:03 I don't think it's an alien, though. And again, I'll say it. I think if they were an alien that could have got their spaceship all the way here, there ain't no way we're shooting it down with some sort of rocket that we've made on this planet.
Starting point is 00:05:12 We can't even get to another, one single planet, much less another solar system. A man says he's attracted to in AMA. Wait, wait, wait, we got to Mars. Not humans. We didn't?
Starting point is 00:05:22 Oh, the rover did. Yeah, there's never been a human on Mars. Really? How are we going to put that society up there? We got a moon. That's not a planet though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:31 I was just, you said we can't get to another planet, but I was like, for some reason, I thought we were on Mars already. We can't, folks can't. I thought a Virgin Airlines guy, didn't he going to Mars. No, Virgin Airlines guy went up, didn't even go to the moon, just went up and came back down. Yeah, I thought they were, Annie, I'm with you. I thought they had selected people that are going to start the community on Mars because they'd been there before. That's it.
Starting point is 00:05:48 You think humans have been to Mars? Well, how else are they going to start a community? How do they know? What community are starting on Mars that you've heard about? Is there something open on Zillow? I didn't know. you're thinking about that Matt Damon movie. No, stop.
Starting point is 00:05:57 This isn't a movie. Guys, this is real life where people had to apply for this and they had to submit their... Not a single human's been to Mars. Then what is that? Are they working on it? I'm not crazy. I'm sure they're always working on it, but they've made... Man, this is a new story, and I know I'm right, and I know that I'm not crazy.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Yeah, maybe people signed up, but... Sure. Like, people are willing to leave their families to go to Mars. It's like they're testing what that situation is like if they did it here on Earth for... No, no. They're really going to Mars, people. There's nobody going to Mars right now. Okay, lunchbox could they have signed up to go when it was available?
Starting point is 00:06:31 I don't know. I'm just saying I knew that a bunch of people were signed up saying, listen. I think it's to take it to live like you were on Mars so they can test the effects of this on human body. But I don't think anybody's going to Mars. Mike, if there's like a Southwest flight to Mars, they're trying to make it up for all the... Want to get away? Yeah, let me know. Looking for volunteers. We'll come back to you on that, okay?
Starting point is 00:06:53 It sounds familiar. or Mars. Boom. I'll wait. Go ahead. NASA is recruiting your... That's a simulator. No, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Just read what you got. First one's up. Simulator. That one was. Go ahead. One way Mars Colony Project draws 20,000 volunteers. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Keep reading. Okay. Hold on. They are starting... The missions are going to start in 2023. It's initial 19 week application. It closed on August 31st, which 2002,000 volunteers.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Right. We're in 2023 now. So, go ahead. Keep going. Volunteers for what? What are they volunteering for? Let me see A Mars colony
Starting point is 00:07:29 Oh well face it man Come on dude Just make it up Say they're there Say they're there Yeah They've landed Yeah
Starting point is 00:07:37 A group that's looking for the first Mars Adelphia They are looking for the first group Of red planet colonists That's what they're looking They can't even get to Mars yet Why did they have this then? Can you just send a link to Mike
Starting point is 00:07:52 And I'll come to Mike And let him explain it Mike. Am I crazy? Mike, do you want to grab the mic or do you want to, do you want a minute? What's the site? Space.com. That's legit.
Starting point is 00:08:02 That's legit. That's legit. Okay, lunchbox, we'll come back to this. I'm going to have Mike do some research on space.com in that page. And we'll go from there, okay? Thank you. You're welcome. I'm not crazy.
Starting point is 00:08:12 A man who says he's sexually attracted to inanimate objects says he's currently in a relationship with a bunch of balloons. I must have really like that other one. Maybe he broke up with them. Send him off. That's what we're seeing up there. They ghosted him. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Lunchbox needs to buy a lottery ticket in Maryland. Here's a few headlines. A Maryland man wins a second lottery jackpot in two months. A forgotten bread moment leads a Maryland man to $100,000 dollar a prize. And a Maryland man buys two lottery tickets, wins two jackpots, all in the same like news cycle there. Wow. Maybe it's Maryland. Would you invest in a flight just to go buy a bunch of tickets in Maryland?
Starting point is 00:08:44 I would. Or I could send money. I got people in Maryland. You do? Yeah. Well, then you have to split it with them. What people? A buddy from high school.
Starting point is 00:08:53 And he would go and... Lauren to Sylvia. So you would send him money and they would send you the tickets? Yeah. Why not? Why wouldn't he? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Do you know him that well? Yeah. I'd hope he would send me the tickets. I mean, or he could rip me off. I haven't seen him in a few years. Since high school? No, no, after high school. But then he moved back to...
Starting point is 00:09:09 He moved to Maryland, him and his brother, Lonnie. How are they doing? Good. Lauren's got a girl. You know what I mean? Lonnie and Lauren. How do you know this? Facebook?
Starting point is 00:09:17 Yeah, he shows pictures. He shows pictures. He's like, oh, you know, happy birthday, my love. He has pictures with her. Like, what up? Mike has found some information here on going to Mars. Lunchbox, apparently your story is a big load of crap. It's not.
Starting point is 00:09:32 I think this is what he was looking at, or maybe read the story about Elon Musk, getting people to go to Mars in 2029. Thank you. 2029. I didn't know it's 20209, but I told you they were going to Mars, you fools. And you guys acted like I was stupid.
Starting point is 00:09:43 No, I said no one's ever been to Mars. Just because they're planning on going, doesn't mean they're going to get there. He also said that they were, Listen. Listen, I don't know. Exactly. So stop fighting for stuff you don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:54 No, but I knew that I knew that there was a story about people trying to live on Mars. Yes, there are movies about it. No, it's not a movie. It's a real life. No, Elon, the story is Elon Musk hints about possible plans in 2029. There's nothing that even says they're trying in 2020. Oh, my goodness. It's not like it for sure deal.
Starting point is 00:10:10 You thought people lived there already and now you're fighting it. You did say colonies. Wait, why can't he let this go? You can't. Can you imagine him fighting with his wife about something stupid? just like a very telling. There are probably 100 stories about us wanting to go to Mars and our initial thoughts on,
Starting point is 00:10:26 our initial plans to have plans. But there's nobody that's ever been to Mars. No, I'll be honest. I'm the one that asked the question because I thought we were on Mars already, but I'm okay saying I'm wrong. I didn't know what I was talking about. Yeah, I didn't fight for it either. I'm done.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Like, let you know how far Mars is? A couple miles. If you went to Mars, it would take you just to get there, nine months to get there, like nonstop nine months three months there and nine months to get back with our current rocket technology there's no way around the duration of the trip and there are all these factors that we haven't even understood yet to account for i mean nine months to get there you have to have everything
Starting point is 00:11:09 it's not like you can order a uber eats when you're up there you're going to have food and if something breaks you got to know how to fix everything and have every supply apart there and only know this got seen movies right i was going to say they send it ahead of time and they're going to figure all this up by 2029. Lunchbox is already on the way. They're in route
Starting point is 00:11:24 already. A man gives his wife a performance review so she can't improve. Oh no. Asked Reddit if he was in the wrong for giving his wife a written performance review of the job
Starting point is 00:11:35 that she was doing against a stay-at-home mom. Oh my gosh, yes. No, it's not wrong. Yes, it is. Why? You get reviews at work. He says she was quiet for the first hour
Starting point is 00:11:42 after he gave it to her but then she exploded, said if we're going to do this type of that she should get a private bank account and take half my paycheck every week. He says he did it because they've had countless tiring arguments.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Her area is in need of improvement, well, there were a lot. Laundry. What are they? Dishes. Wait, do you know what his are? No, I'm just guessing. Oh, is that what it normally is for Mode's. Dinner.
Starting point is 00:12:05 What's the issue there? Like cooking. A little bit, have dinner ready earlier. Do you, and your wife argue about that? Sometimes, yeah. Do you feel like she doesn't cook dinner for you at the appropriate time? Yeah. Is that her job to cook dinner?
Starting point is 00:12:18 Yeah. Most nights? Yeah, 99%. Is it understood? That's in your house, that's her job. Yeah. Why is he answering it weird? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:27 Yeah, no, I'm just saying, yeah. Like, that's it. I don't know. I feel like if we got her on the phone to be different, his house are very... You want to play the Valentine's clip back? I mean, she'll tell you, I cook dinner just like I do every night. Yeah, but I've seen you post that you're cooking.
Starting point is 00:12:39 Yeah, I mean, it's good to post it. I've been guilty of himself. Yeah, I mean, it's good to post it, even if you should jump in for a second. Yeah, she's like, I got to run to the rest of you. Can you watch this? Yeah. Then you take a picture. I'm looking at me cooking.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Can you stir this? Oh, making dinner for the wife. Absolutely. Oh, my God. Oh, my good. Okay, so what's on his list? The performance guy? That's not that he said.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Oh, all of it? I told you. I can't believe she let him talk for an hour. No, no, she didn't talk to him for an hour. She didn't talk to him for a hour. Like, keep going. So, what time is dinner usually, does it need to be made for you? It should usually be, and it's just not me.
Starting point is 00:13:14 It's the kids also. They get kind of grouchy. So it should be ready about 515, 5.30. And what do you like? generally. I'm not a picky eater, so whatever. I don't, I'm not picky. If she just throws something together and you're like, oh, she doesn't try. Now, that frustrates me. Like when she just puts soup on the table, I'm like, what do we do it? Su can be very laborous. Why does that frustrate you though? It's not filling. It's just drinking like water. I know, but why is it frustrate you
Starting point is 00:13:40 as far as like the effort that she's put in? Well, it's like you had all day and this way you came up with was a can of tomato soup? Like, what? But all day? So she did nothing all day? Don't she take care of the kids? Some days, but they go to daycare too. So they're out, oh, so there's, so there are open hours? Open hours. That's what I'm saying. That's why laundry. That's a big one. But what about you? You have open hours too, because your job is very nice. Oh, yeah, but I got a job, J-O-B. I got response. Wow. You hit a nerve there. And what does she say when you say that, like dinner's not ready? She's like, you're right. Oh, that's, oh, she just goes you're right? No chance. This is not. I'm sorry. Is he doing a bit or is he doing real? He's doing a bit. I'm
Starting point is 00:14:19 sorry. There's no way she says that. You're right. I'm sorry. You make all the money. You got the GOB. The JOB. GEOB. You spell it. You spell like Gob? Yeah. Yeah. So who does? Like sometimes like dinner didn't get ready until 7 o'clock and it's like, whoa. Do you say something? Yes. Kids are going crazy by that point. Is it really about the kids? Yeah. And me. Well, because then I got to deal with cranky kids.
Starting point is 00:14:45 So what is her reason, though? Like the baby's yelling, eat. Eat. Eat. Eat. He literally yells it. Sounds like you. Why don't you go get in a snack? You don't want to ruin his dinner? Oh, my God. Gotta be hungry. I mean, if you give him a snack, they didn't eat dinner, and it's like, it's a cycle.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Well, then who does bath time after dinner? Your boy. Okay, that's your job. Oh, wow. Okay. Not yourself, but you're talking about the kids. Oh, yeah. I don't bath myself.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Sometimes they pour water on my head. Oh, you all batheed together. Well, Lunchbox's mom bathes in it, like. like 30. So hold on, hold on. I'm obsessed with this food thing. So normal dinner times 515, 530. Yes. Which, I mean, it feels like a 90 year old, but I mean, it's necessary for the kids. And we wake up early. If she doesn't have it, will you be like, hey, hey, where's dinner? I'll say, what time is dinner going to be ready? I'm sorry, I'm starting to cook right now. I'm starting to cook right now. She should take 15 minutes. What would make her miss what you
Starting point is 00:15:42 have said is your dinner time? She's probably watching, she started watching the Kardashians. So she's just watching a TV show. And that's why she loses track at what time to cook dinner. She gets, like, she started the Kardashians from the beginning all of a sudden. I don't know what prompted that. But boy, that's a disaster.
Starting point is 00:15:59 So because the Kardashians, she'll miss dinner. And the first thing is, hey, what time's dinner? What if it's still, it's 615 and there's still no dinner? I'm like, do I need to go pick something up? And if she says, yeah, that'd be great. I lost track of time. Well, no, she says, yes, that'd be great. Go pick something up.
Starting point is 00:16:13 I'm like, geez, all right. And then do you do it? I'll go get something to eat Panet Panet panet patas tacos? No, they don't have peanut tempe tacos there anymore You pick up for everyone or just you? Don't be stupid, Eddie Eddie, don't be stupid
Starting point is 00:16:26 So what? So just you? So everybody, right? Yeah, I mean, that's just a dumb question. Do you ever cook for the family, the whole family? Very rare. Once everyone, a blue moon. What's a blue moon?
Starting point is 00:16:37 Like, long time. I mean, blue moons only happen once a year or something like that. I don't... If you Google that, Mike. I've never seen a blue moon. I don't know. I don't know what that means, I've heard everyone's on a blue moon.
Starting point is 00:16:48 A blue moon comes about every two or three years. See? You're close. Boom. Ha. What are you good at cooking? Like if you had to have a specialty? I can do spaghetti.
Starting point is 00:17:00 Okay. Yeah. Boil the meatballs? No, no, no. No meatballs. No, sauce of meat, in it. Yes, exactly. You boil the freaking noodles.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Don't noodle against the walls. You have it sticks. All right. We're ready to go. All right. It's not that hard. Ain't no other way. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:12 And there's some enchiladas I can make. They're not like real Mexican insoladas. Peanut Tempe? Tortillas. But it's like. bell peppers, black beans, pinto beans. And so since you have the J.O.B. Yeah, I got the J.O.B.
Starting point is 00:17:25 You just dictate pretty much everything else that happens. Pretty much. Yeah. And what do you feel like household-wise brings up the most arguments? Dinner? Or is it? Oh, it's probably dinner. Yeah. I don't think he cares much about a mess.
Starting point is 00:17:43 Yeah, I don't care about the. She gets mad about the mess. I don't give a crap. So you leave dirty dishes, just like food on them and stuff? Yeah. Not a big deal to me. Toys everywhere. Whatever. Who does laundry?
Starting point is 00:17:52 Who do you think? Who? Her. You don't at all? I mean, I'll wash some of my stuff. Like, she doesn't really wash my clothes a lot, but... If the laundry's not done, what would you say? I'm just like, well, I mean, kids got nothing to wear.
Starting point is 00:18:09 I don't know why. Do you mention that there's three letters? I say, I can't find any clean clothes for them. Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't get to the laundry today. Why wouldn't she get to the laundry? Probably the Kardashians. You're an idiot.
Starting point is 00:18:22 Okay. Why am I an idiot? It's crazy to see how much they've changed, though. Who's that? The Kardashians? Yeah. Yeah, it is. I see some of those old clips. You're watching like, wow, man, that's crazy. A holy grail, male contraceptive drug could revolutionize birth control.
Starting point is 00:18:36 It's the first breakthrough in male birth control that scientists have taken super seriously. It can be taken orally. It's called TDI-11-861. It temporarily stops sperm in their tracks. It prevents pregnancy. and pre-clinical models. Hey, good news for Scuba.
Starting point is 00:18:51 You could take that every day instead of getting snipped. I don't even know if I want to take that either because it sounds too new. It has been tested. I don't know what it's all about and the effect side effects of it. But you take like 10 Thailand on the day?
Starting point is 00:19:02 One to three. That's from the New York Post. Yeah. I mean, I got a question for women, though. Are they going to trust me? Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm taking that bird control. Same thing. The guys have to worry about trusting with the women.
Starting point is 00:19:12 And guys lie way more than women. Yeah. I don't know about that. You all for sure. A guy would say anything. Yeah, I'm on the pill. Heck, I take two. Yeah, women says, oh, that's real.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Yeah, women would have to be like, okay, open your mouth. Yeah, exactly. I need to watch you take it. And now lift up your tongue. Exactly. Is it in there? Hey, Ray, just for a second, I do want to bring this up. This is very what they call inside baseball,
Starting point is 00:19:34 meaning it's such inside stuff that may not be interesting to our listeners. But there's something happening here at our radio station building when artists are coming in. Yeah, so I've noticed particularly with the rock artists and maybe artists, if they're more alternative that people from other radio stations will come down here and I don't know if it's for picture. Do you mean like on our show though? Yeah on our show. So if somebody comes in who's not a country artist that's here a lot. Yeah. Got it. Go ahead. A rare but a list, maybe B list artist. So it's kind of maybe a buzz in the building. Will they come from other floors and other stations to be around for maybe they can grab an arm and get an interview? I don't know. So I'm asking you, is this
Starting point is 00:20:11 frowned upon? Is this allowed? Has scuba seen it? Um, scuba, not commenting. Which one is it? I was just saying, is it frowned upon if other stations try to grab guests? We have artists and guests and they come down and they're like, hey, can I come get a picture or like grab an interview as well? I think it's a case by case because it depends on who it is and how they act. Are you talking about the guy from?
Starting point is 00:20:34 There we go. No, no, I'm talking about the artist. Oh. They're recent. We recently recorded an interview with a couple of people. It was Brad, the lead singer of three doors down. Oh, I said. Was it Nickelback?
Starting point is 00:20:47 Yeah. Okay, that one, yeah. That was, the guy took the picture and not even part of the company anymore. Was it that guy? No, this guy's still part of the company. No, there's another one that left the show. The other one.
Starting point is 00:20:57 Oh, yeah. He just ghosted. That guy left, too, yeah. What about the other guy that was in? Who was in? Candlebox? Oh, yeah, the guy from Candlebox. Was it him or just Chad from Nickelback?
Starting point is 00:21:06 Well, it was also Hardy, too. Oh, who did Hardy? Well, let's see. This is a general rule. People shouldn't, we don't go bother their guests. They shouldn't bother ours because I just feel bad for the guest, who's like I'm coming to do an interview
Starting point is 00:21:16 and they get stuck in a meet and greet line because that's not the deal we promised them. It is awkward. I didn't know that those things happen and if it does happen after the fact it's too late at that point. It looks like battles at his house. Oh, who?
Starting point is 00:21:28 Chad from Nickelback. Nickelback stuff. Hey, man. Yeah, generally we shouldn't do that unless it's a case by case and we've kind of set it up. Yeah, I'll shut it down from here on out. I'd have scuba shut it down.
Starting point is 00:21:40 The reason I'm not going to do anything. Yeah, I'd have scuba shut it down. One final thing. I didn't save this for rejected segments because I just wanted to talk about it real quick because it's so stupid we'd never do it. You know how Mike D does movie reviews? Eddie wants to review all black and white movies that he watches as its own segment every week. Oh, guys, because they're so good. I'm already bored.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Bones, what did you say about international movies? You're like, oh, I'm missing out on some good stuff because I don't like reading subtitles. You're missing out in some good movies that came out in the 40s and the 50s. and I'm here to review them, and then you'll go back and be like, wow, that was right. He was right, that was really good. You know what you should do,
Starting point is 00:22:16 do a side podcast on that, and I guarantee you'll get no listening. Yeah, is there a chance you, somehow you get negative listening? That would be amazing. Or people just unsubscribe from all podcasts because you made that podcast?
Starting point is 00:22:26 Dude, I saw a good one the other day called damn Yankees. About the Yankees? Well, yeah, it's about the baseball team, but it's about this old guy who's like, he's a fan of, I think back then they were called the Washington senators.
Starting point is 00:22:38 I don't think the senators were the Yankees. Does you watch the same team? It was a baseball team. Oh, yeah, yes. Senators that exist. So he's a big fan of the Senators, but he's like 70 years old. And he's like, God, I wish if I can just go back and play for the Senators, we can win the Pennett again.
Starting point is 00:22:49 And then the Devil shows up and he sells his soul to the devil. He does make it. Yeah. Dude, it's a good, and it's a musical. It's a true story. Oh, really? No, it's not. But I do know that.
Starting point is 00:22:59 It's kind of like Robert Johnson. Crossroads. Yeah, same thing. And then he goes back and he plays baseball again. It's really cool. I would never do that segment. But thank you for that. Because we just kind of did it.
Starting point is 00:23:09 You're missing out. No, but we did it under the guise of not doing it. I'll send you another one next month. What would you rate it? This segment's so stupid. What would you have rated that movie? Oh, I'd say five baseball bats out of five. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Yeah. So we're not going to do that, but if people wanted to watch it. Five out of five. It's on Turner Classic movies right now if you want to go. Gosh. It's really good. They don't stream. And I think they put color to it because I think it originally came out of black and white,
Starting point is 00:23:31 but it's available in color as well. 78% positive on Rotten Tomatoes. See? It's on Tooby. It's on Tooby. Which I don't even know what that was until that ad. All right, we're done. Hey, thank you guys.
