It's time for the Bobby Bones Post Show.
here's your host, Bobby Bones.
Hello, everybody, welcome to the post show.
Sorry, we haven't been able to get many on.
I think it's our second one this week.
So, bound and determined to get this on.
And I have a meeting in 20 minutes I got to get to.
But God dang it, this is going to be a solid 20 minutes.
Okay?
Yes, good.
I don't know what we're going to talk about yet.
I rarely do, but it's going to be a good one.
A 49-year-old guy from Massachusetts.
Just got 10 years plus in prison for,
trying to kidnap his ex-girlfriend 20 years after they split up.
Whoa. Why? What do you want?
That's some crazy psycho stuff right there.
A Massachusetts man was sentenced to 128 months in prison for attempted to kidnap his ex-girlfriend.
Again, 20 years after they broke up, his name is Damon Burke, 49, attacked his ex-s roommate and stole his keys before he was arrested.
He was sentenced to prison Monday.
He admitted in the plea agreement he attempted to kidnap the victim, an ex-girlfriend, again, from over two decades ago.
He had no recent contact, which has all.
also weird.
Wow.
He had stalked the victim
and restrained her in a vehicle
without her consent
after the relationship ended.
In March 2021,
he resumed his harassment
after driving from Massachusetts to Michigan.
He assaulted the woman's housemaid
and tried to steal a key
to the victim's home.
He then attempted to go to the victim's home.
Police later stopped him near the location.
He wouldn't talk to officers,
but they found he had an envelope
with his ex-girlfriend's name on it.
It contained a letter that said,
I'll come back to you.
What?
Fox 2 had that story.
That is obviously someone who is struggling mentally, emotionally, not making rational decisions.
And you can't understand or figure out someone that's irrational, right?
You can't be rational about someone that's irrational.
So did he have these thoughts this whole time?
I don't know.
Or did he just something happen that it triggered it?
But this is why you have to worry about anyone who's a lot.
little bit cuckoo because all it takes is one stabbing or shooting and it's done like these stalkers
with celebrities like well they weren't there so they were outside their house who cares
well if they happen to get in and they happen to be there and they happen to have a weapon and enough
happens happen to happen they're dead it's a crazy situation and yeah i mean he's some way he's
struggle yeah it's not good but thank god they got them and it's
20 years later, she probably hadn't even thought about that dude.
Dude, let her go.
Hoodie said her best.
Let her go.
And just let her go.
I was like, what do you mean, hooty said?
That's it.
Passengers on a United Airlines flight out of Kansas City had to rush off the plane on Tuesday
after it landed in Denver.
There was a small fire under the plane.
It sounded like the brakes overheated in this situation.
And if you don't really know what's up, because you're on the plane, you probably don't really know.
They're giving you the information that you need.
You know, like, all right, we got a little something here.
We're going to get out the plane.
You see smoke.
Everybody is orderly.
And they're probably not.
It's probably not that orderly.
No way.
What would you do, lunchbox?
Are you lining people up?
You slowly walking on?
No.
It's push out of the way, get up to the front.
Like when the plane lands, you know, and they say, oh, everybody just stay in their seats
and the first, you know, you go in order.
Nope.
I'm going to be that guy that jumps up in the plane lanes.
Lands, whoo, straight to the front.
You see George Costanza when there's a fire at the, like, kids party.
Yeah.
Pushing kids.
And, you're on something.
I feel like that's what lunchbox would do.
Listen, I hope I wouldn't do that.
I have not been in that situation.
But I definitely wouldn't push anyone.
If anything, I'm jumping on top of the seats and going knees over the top.
That's fine.
And it's sort of like when you're sitting in the emergency exit row and they're like,
oh, are you going to help people off?
Yeah, I'll help people off until we land.
And then I'm going to pull that slide and I'll be the first one down it.
Because what are they going to do?
What do you mean?
What are they going to?
I don't think it's about them doing something.
They're like, oh, are you willing to help people?
Yeah, I'm willing to help.
but when we land in an emergency, guess who I'm going to help first?
Me.
Wait, you lie to them when they ask you that?
Well, no, I tell them I'm willing to help, but I am willing to help, but I'll help you
when we get down on the ground.
Like, if you come down that slide, I'll help people.
If they're injured and not dead, can you help them get off the plane?
Well, guess what?
Not well.
I'm telling you, but I'm saying if they make it down that slide, I'll help them.
But I'm not on the plane, but they're asking on the plane.
Could you help?
No, no.
Like pull the door.
Oh, I can pull the door.
Like help people get off the plane.
Yeah.
I ain't helping him get off because I'm going to get off first.
Because I got to be down there to catch them.
Make sure they don't fall off the slide.
That's what I'm...
Oh, that's what you're going to do?
Catch the kids off the slide.
As long as you're safe down there.
Isn't that what you would do?
I don't know what I would do.
I'd like to think I would do better than that, but I don't know.
Eddie, you're telling me, I'm just saying,
it's just realistically thinking.
Most people that are sitting by that slide,
if you land an emergency and they say,
pull that slide, you're not going to wait for the whole plane to go down the slide before
you go to the whole plane, but if there's somebody near you that needs help,
I do, I like to think that I would,
would help if somebody near me.
Yes, of course, we're all trying to get off and save our lives and save our family's lives.
But if someone's like, Bobby, can you help me?
I'm trapped.
And I'm like, oh, I'm able-bodied.
Okay.
I think I can do.
I would probably grab them.
And I think I would.
80% chance I would.
Like if there's a fire in the back of the plane, right?
And you're sitting in the middle on that emergency exit row.
And you have to emergency land.
They say, pull that slide.
Are you helping people go down that slide?
Are you sliding down that slide because that fire's coming.
And those people, come on, you can get there if you get there, but I'm already gone.
I don't think I'm going to say you can get there if you get there. That's a funny thing to say,
all right, everybody, get there if you can get there.
I think what I would do is, judge where the fire is.
And if the fire's moving slowly, I think I'm like, I think I would help some people.
And I think when the fire gets closed and I would talk about.
Then you got to go.
Yeah, yeah.
Feet don't film me now.
See, I'm saying.
I think I would help people.
Right.
But what's the difference?
If you go on.
It's like the nine people I helped get down the slide.
The old people are the kids.
And that's why I don't.
don't sit on that lane. They say like, hey,
are you willing? Like, no, I don't even go
to that measure. You're just not willing at all.
I'm not going to sit at that exit. You're not going to say
you are, and you're not, but you're not going to
say you are. Correct. And sitting at that
on that row is great because all the legroom
is fantastic, but the responsibility
if something happens on that plane, I don't want
that. Pro tip, don't chug
an entire bottle of Yeager.
Well, why would you do that?
The guy did.
It's disgusting. He did. He was a drinking
competition. Police say an unnamed man has
died after downing an entire bottle of Yeager in less than two minutes.
Whoa!
I don't know.
I mean, I know, is Yeager the tastes like a...
Black licorish.
Liquorish. I was going to say Twizzler, but Twizzler's a red, so it's not Twizzler?
No.
I mean, it's still licorish.
But it's not...
Black is different than red, as far as licorice taste.
Yes, absolutely.
Consider that Yeager's 35% alcohol.
He immediately collapsed.
He won a prize of about $12.
That was what it was for.
He won, then he died?
He, well, I mean, by doing it, he won the bet, but he died.
Oh my gosh.
Collapse quickly.
Oh.
I mean, the snake is like...
Well, hey, how big is it?
It's actually pretty big.
Oh.
And pretty thick, you know?
It is.
And she's driving.
There's a snake, like, on the windshield.
So she didn't want to, like, pull over super quick and cause an accident.
She kind of kept her composure.
I mean, it's a pretty big snake, right?
Like, I'd say it's like six feet.
Oh.
She called 911.
Police say, hey, we're going to get you in touch with reptile rescue.
She got off the highway.
She parked.
The snake then slithered off to safety.
I don't care who you are.
but if there's a snake in your car,
it's going to be so hard to stay still.
Fox 23.
Yeah.
I don't care if you like snakes,
but I mean,
you see a snake in there?
You're like, give me out.
No, now!
I mean, if you see a dog that's not yours in there,
I love dogs,
I'm probably going to be like, what the crap?
It doesn't matter for it.
Just something you're not expecting.
Good boy.
You're the car.
It doesn't have to be snake.
Amazon is admitting it has provided
a ring camera footage to police without permission
from the owners or a warrant 11 times this year.
Yeah, that ain't cool,
but you know that crap's happening,
but it still ain't cool.
according to Amazon,
it's because Ring made a good faith determination
that there was imminent danger of death
or serious physical injury to a person
requiring disclosure or information without delay.
From Reuters, that is a story.
You know, they're releasing all that crap.
You know, those people are sitting there watching me
naked. All the time.
All the time.
Okay.
You get in front of your camera naked online in the ring?
Walk around the room.
I mean, I got Amazon.
I got all those little Amazon things in my room.
All Amazon pads.
You start posing for the Amazon.
He's like, hey, you like it.
You like what you see?
Sometimes I'll talk right to them.
There's a camera there.
I don't, you know, nobody's supposed to be watching.
I'm like, oh, you, oh, that turns you on.
You're such a dirty freak.
And I'm saying it right into the camera.
And probably nobody's watching.
Just in case somebody's in like Silicon Valley going, what the, oh my God, he knows
we're watching.
That's funny.
Oh, you like that, you dirty animal?
What do you think about this?
You want to shoot this video?
Yeah, yeah.
So, because I, in an effort to make sure we got a post show on, we will now do a promo video for Seattle on the post show.
They do a segment called the teacher feature.
They highlight a teacher every week or so.
We do it on social media and they do it on the air too.
I'll say this.
While we have a second, Eddie sets it up.
Tickets for my show go on sell tomorrow.
And not only that, we sent an email with the promo code.
And a lot of people said I went to spam.
They didn't get it.
What we did not do this time, probably much to Morgan's chagrin.
put it up on the internet before because last time we put it up on the internet we were like
here's the pre-sell code for the B team but then we just put it up for anybody to get it and I was
like well let's make it a little more precious and not put it on the internet and you know that affects
Morgan's job and she might be fired today because she can get enough clicks you know but tomorrow
tickets go and sell at 10 a.m. Central time but that being said and I hope you come to Nashville or
if you live in Nashville a lot of people are traveling from all over but I will do this because
the email did not go out we're not putting in any public but I will
say it now. So if you want to get pre-sell tickets, today's the last day, you can do it.
I think the code's Bobby. Let me see if I can still get in. If you go to cmaeater.com,
CMAtheater.com. And then upcoming shows, so I'll do, because the shows are August 12th and 13th.
And then I do get tickets. You good up there, Eddie?
No, I'm still working. Okay. Then you do get tickets. And then up on the top, you'll see promo code
next to that submit button.
The code is Bobby.
So if I do submit,
let's see if I still get in
or if that was only yesterday.
All right, submit.
Okay.
I'm in.
So the code is Bobby for pre-sell.
And there are not a lot left
if I'm being honest.
Okay.
So the code's Bobby
and you can get your tickets then.
And this theater is so cool
that even the seats
that are kind of higher
because it's all pretty close.
Even like the upper balcony is really cool
because you're looking right down at what's going on.
So if you want to get pre-sell tickets,
the code is Bobby at cmaeater.com.
We're not writing this anywhere.
This is just for you guys because if you're listening to this,
you're a BT member even if you hadn't like signed up for it.
Okay.
Yeah, I can see it.
So what's happening now in the studio is it's crooked.
Eddie's got a camera in here.
We've got a little prompter,
and our prompter is actually an iPad.
No, no, it's crooked isn't like the prompter into the...
What is it?
Wilden? Kate Wilden.
All right.
All right.
This is Kate Will.
Oh, it's okay.
Wilden.
Wilden.
Yeah, it's still a little crooked.
Good.
Go ahead.
June's teacher feature winner is Kate Wilden,
a high school teacher at Franklin Pierce High School.
Kate was nominated by Joshua.
That Joshua writes,
Kate teaches the community-based learning program.
She provides our students with the
opportunities to gain work experience by bringing them to food banks. She's also created
mentorship opportunities for her students so they all have a positive role model in the community.
She's an educator, volunteer, and a soon-to-be mom. So thanks for sending that.
Congratulations, Kate. We're sending you $250 to help with your class or a nice day for you.
I think you should treat yourself. Now, if you know a teacher that we should celebrate,
tell us about them. 989 the bull.com. Send it there. We'd love to do this for them.
Good.
It was rolling pretty, pretty fast.
Yeah.
And Eddie, yeah.
And that's why in some of the videos I'll be like, hey, everybody.
I hope today you're checking out.
Oh my, my, but I'm gonna.
Yeah, what?
That's a thing now, right?
Just leaving the water bottle up there.
It's always so, like oddly in these, you'll just see a water bottle.
We're trying to clear off the desk before the water.
You're so good at reading that stuff.
That would take me forever.
It is not a talent.
It is a skill because I've read a million prompters.
Yeah.
Do you, when you're reading, are you reading the word or are you like five words ahead, 10 words ahead?
Yes.
Yes.
That's tough.
That because I kind of want to know.
You got to, if I'm doing a drive, like, I'm never read it and they're like, yeah, we've got to do this.
I'm trying to read ahead because sometimes sentences infunny or their names.
Are we switching back?
Yeah, because it's said the bull behind you.
We did a Hyundai shoot with Ryan Hurd a couple days ago, and they were like, okay, we need you for two hours.
And I'm like, I don't have two hours.
They were like, well, we've got to do.
And I'm like, listen, I love Hyundai, whatever they need.
But for this video shoot, you don't need me for two hours or crazy.
Like, no, we got a lot of stuff, a lot of prompter stuff.
And I said, I read a prompter all, like, this is like part of my job.
Like, I'm pretty good at it at this point.
And they're like, okay, 90 minutes.
and I'm like, well, Ryan also doesn't want to be on the heat.
And Ryan and I are pretty good friends.
And so I said, okay, I'll tell you what, 90 minutes, but let's roll.
Like, let's go.
And so they're like, cool.
So we do it.
I think we finish in like 43 minutes.
Nice.
Just because it's prompter reads.
And I'm not asking for that, but it's, yes, it's just, I've done so many.
We did, I did anything yesterday because IHart Radio is doing drive-in movie theaters
showing IHart Radio Country Festival and festival in places.
And they asked for an hour to do a bunch of prompter reads.
And again, this is just.
doing it so many times.
An hour that, again, I had to negotiate down to an hour.
I was in and out in 13 minutes.
No, I don't need that.
But I'm saying it isn't something that I was good at.
It's something I just had to work at over and over and over again.
But pretty good.
And I can also mess up and you won't know I messed up.
And I'll just fake it and, like, build a sentence out in a weird way.
I wonder if actors do that.
Like, if they tell the director, the director's like, I need you for 10 hours.
And they're like, no, no, I'll be there for an hour.
Like Tom Hanks.
No, I'm going to be there for an hour.
I wonder if they have the power to do that, or they're like, no, you will be there for 10 hours.
Well, they have to do a lot of shoots and different angles and do wides.
I think it's a bit different.
For me, if that was the case, I would have to be there longer.
And I don't think it's a power thing.
It's like, you're just not going to need me for that.
Well, no, it's not a power thing.
Yes, there's a lot of, when you do that stuff, you like sit around.
They're like, all right, well, hang out.
We'll call you when we're ready.
And it takes them like an hour to set up the cameras.
And usually it's like, these camera guys want to get out of here, too.
Yeah.
So let's just do it.
Okay, we did that.
Marks of the Soft did that
Yeager bottle
We did that
Eddie thinks it looks like Taylor Hicks
What what
Who said that
You did?
No, I didn't
Oh, does Eddie look like
I've never said that
I thought you were claiming
You look like Taylor Hidd
I don't even know what he looks like
Well that's not as fun if you didn't think it
I thought you thought it
Who thinks I look like Taylor Hicks
Mike do you
Did somebody
Who said it?
On Reddit it said Eddie looks like Taylor Hicks
Yeah, there's nothing
I thought you were saying that, and I was really going to have a time with this.
Taylor Hicks is on Bumble, and Taylor Hicks is, Morgan, who's Taylor Hicks?
I have no idea.
Yeah, I figured.
Ray, who's Taylor Hicks?
American Idol.
He has a song called Do I Make You Proud?
Oh, you have the audio.
He was the guy that looked old, right?
He had like gray hair.
Uh-huh.
There he is.
Someone posted a picture of Taylor Hicks on Reddit.
He won the 50s of American Idol.
He's on Bumble, and someone said he looks like Eddie.
Oh, I thought that was Eddie from the Bobby Bone show.
Oh, that's funny.
They said that on Reddit.
Yeah, they did.
They did write that.
Do you see the photo?
Yeah.
What do you think?
No.
Yeah.
That's weird.
Okay, the guy is here.
You know what?
A little.
What about it?
His nose.
Oh, big nose.
Dude, I saw...
His face, his beard.
A little, but no, I wouldn't go.
But I could see that a little bit.
Go ahead.
There was a TikTok video I saw yesterday of this guy who's completely bald.
And they put...
It wasn't a wig.
It's almost like, you know, when people shave their head,
but they leave maybe like a quarter of an inch on the top of their head.
It's almost like a, I don't know, like a little flat top or something.
And this looks so real.
So real.
I was like, huh, I wonder if I should try this.
But I have to shave my head completely bald to do it.
And that's okay, because we don't see your head really ever anyway.
Even when you swim, you wear a hat.
Correct.
We never know.
And also, as long as you're open and honest about it, who cares.
Like we'll be like, that likes crazy or not or whatever.
But if you're like, yeah, this isn't real hair.
We don't bust your balls.
It's like a little piece of carpet,
and it looks so real.
Hey, Ray, I'm not going to say who,
but I think I figured out who the divorce is you have in your folder.
Yeah.
It's someone I've never heard or I've never heard this rumor until recently.
Mm-hmm.
And I was shocked, even seeing the rumor.
Mm-hmm.
What's it talking about?
I mean, Ray just goes, mm-hmm.
Well, because that's the exact way it was presented to me.
Nobody's talking about it.
It's on no websites.
It's nowhere because it's been hush-hush,
and they're doing an amazing job keeping it underw
wraps. Can I text you? Yeah.
Wait, so they've been
divorced? No, no, no. I'm not
saying anything, but I finally heard about it
from somebody and I was like, that's got to be the Ray one, because I've
never heard it. Every answer's
well, I just want to see
if his rumor
is of someone
that we've heard of.
Do you see it?
No.
That's not it.
Eddie don't go to the camera.
Hey, you have another one on those or what?
Yeah. I want to put yours in an envelope.
No, I don't care.
Ray, that's not it?
No.
I mean, Ray, how long do we have to wait for Ray's until he just says who he thought it was?
Well, because it's rude for me to come out and right now and say it.
But Christmas time.
There's going to be a song of the summer with a DJ too.
We've heard about for three times.
Summer's almost over.
As I'm saying, Christmas time, he's going to still have that envelope.
I don't know.
It's coming, guys.
Well, then we start to make fun of them.
It's like getting paid for the Trump bet.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, yeah.
That's, mm-hmm.
All right, I got to hop on this call in like two minutes.
So, hey, Ray, real quick.
you wrote somebody on the show wants to admit something that's pretty embarrassing for a guy
and ray writes to tease this for me this is i love this about ray so ray just hit hit a rejoin okay
ray wrote this for me to do leading into his segment go ahead of it's a bobby bone show right somebody
on the show wants to admit something that's pretty embarrassing especially for a guy
we'll reveal that coming up next no idea what it is that's a good tease for me just in case
i just like to do it ray what is it ray what is it yeah
So short king summer, it just got a lot shorter.
For the first time, I am now wearing a nine and a half shoe.
I used to be double digits at 10.
I've dropped down to a women's size.
Holy crap.
You're getting smaller.
I have no idea how it's even possible.
I told the person to go in the back twice.
But yes, it fits more comfortable at nine and a half.
I'm happy to admit it.
I apparently must be five-five now or something.
That means he's just getting older and it feels more comfortable to wear a right size shoe.
I'm growing.
He was wearing bigger shoes.
I'm getting smaller.
he's getting smaller.
You're like crazy.
I'm not crazy.
I'm right on.
So he was really walking around
with like swim fins on his feet
for a long time.
And these right here,
these are Bay's shoes.
We wear the same shoes.
That's terrible.
You and your wife
wear the same shoe size?
That just got more interesting.
That tease was worth it.
Yeah.
Now once you,
no,
no, it wasn't worth it
until he pulled up Bay's shoe.
That was worth it.
Like he should have said
like someone's wearing
their wife's clothes.
That's good too.
That'd have been a better tease.
Yeah.
Like, I mean.
Yeah, that'd have been a better cheese.
That would have
actually made it. Wow.
Yeah, that'd have been a good one.
Does she have big feet for...
No, I mean, I'm sensationalizing.
We're very, very close to the same size. We can wear
the same flip-flops.
Underware? Yeah, no.
