We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John Hope Bryant from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get. Hit your podcast. It's time for the Bobby Bones Post Show. Here's your host, Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. What was it doing with Chris Lane, the Puffy Cheetos? Yeah, so I was in Atlanta with him, and there was Cheetos backstage at the concert. By the way, Chris Lane, because I have to do a better job of remembering not everybody knows every artist. I have So You got your fix Ah it's not a good
Starting point is 00:02:34 Got some big big plans Fair Go ahead Marind de Lauren Lane So He's backstage There's Cheetos Someone opens up a bag
Starting point is 00:02:43 And he's like Oh I'm never gonna eat a Cheeto again in my life And we're all like why And he said I don't know It came across this video On Instagram
Starting point is 00:02:50 And I have a clip of him Talking about it You recorded him Yeah well I had him Explain it later I was like hey can you just like quick 30 minute 30 second explanation 30 minute I was like yeah that's maybe that's quick yeah 30 seconds yeah I was on Instagram I get pitched a lot of things on there and there was this one
Starting point is 00:03:08 thing about Cheetos it says do you eat Cheetos or gnaw and then it shows a guy pulling a Cheeto out of the bag it's like zoom in guy or something along those lines and he puts it under a microscope and what he finds is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen and I will never eat another Cheeto again in my entire life. Yeah, so the guy, he's very popular on TikTok too. I saw his name, he's like microzoom guy and his microscope goes way in there and it can see inside all kinds of things.
Starting point is 00:03:38 You can micro zoom into anything, you probably find crap. I don't want to like hate on Cheetos. Mostly because I had something the other day and I like Cheetos. They're delicious. I know. That's why I don't watch those documentaries about not eating meat because I don't want to really see. But go ahead.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Oh, so by the way, I definitely ate a Cheeto backstage even after he shared this because I was like, well, I mean, stuff's in everything we eat, but that's just, he said he's not touching a Cheeto and then I got stuck on the microzoom guys page and I'm like wow this is fascinating stuff. What was in the Cheeto? Oh, do you want me to say?
Starting point is 00:04:06 Yeah. I don't know. There was like... Are you sure? Did you see it yourself? Yeah, I went to the microzoom guys. Go ahead. We blame him then. TikTok. Lawsuit. Yeah, like little crawly things. I love collie things. Oh, a hair in there? There's hair on everything. Yeah. Don't bother me. There's hair on my head right now. It's mostly when things are moving around. That it's weird because it's like
Starting point is 00:04:25 you're inside a Cheeto and then you see this little think for all. Okay, here's what we learned from this. Don't go inside a Cheeto. Eat it and enjoy it. Right. You know if you're eating a Cheeto, it ain't broccoli. Right?
Starting point is 00:04:36 There's probably things crawling in broccoli too. Exactly. Yeah. More likely in broccoli than the Cheeto. On broccoli. Word. In broccoli. Everything.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Okay. Had that. Secondly, Amy spoiled suits and I did not think that was really the case until we finished it. And I started to get all these messages on in my DMs. Oh, no. She spoiled a part of it. What?
Starting point is 00:04:58 Well, the segment aired had time to run and on the podcast and people lived with it. I agree. Look, I'm going to, honestly, I do have a new method of when I talk about things. I would love to hear that. It's like. She stops talking right then. No, it's, I can share, this is my new rule for myself. I can share the title of the show or the movie where you can watch it.
Starting point is 00:05:24 We're also not going to spoil it now in case anybody's mind. No, we're not. Nope, I'm not. I will say, like, for example, I'd be like, suits is now on Netflix. That's it. And then let us ask you questions. And I watched it.
Starting point is 00:05:37 No, no, she can't open up to questions. No, no, but she has to give direct answers. Like, did you like it? Yes. How did it end? No. No. We can't ask that one.
Starting point is 00:05:45 But I would just say no. Like, I can only answer yes or no. Very simple. And the only information I can give is what it is and where to find it. Funny idea. It's a review. Yes or no. reviews from Amy, just for random TV shows and stuff.
Starting point is 00:06:00 But don't set me up. No, we don't, except for yes or no. Set me up with a yes or no, that's going to spoil something. You know what I mean? We would never do that. Yeah, you would. Like does someone die? Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:10 That's bad. Every show in the history of shows, though. Okay, but now if there's a question specific to what happened, I'm going to say, I don't know. You're going to have to watch and you tell me. Okay. That's pretty good. We gave Amy the option to pick our own punishment.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I feel like that's it. Like for the rest of my career, I don't get to say anything. New rules for me. Like, I deserve to not give any of my own personal opinion about a show. So that's your punishment. Because we said you could pick any punishment. It's a big deal. Like for the rest of my career.
Starting point is 00:06:41 State, though, exactly what your new punishment is. I love the talk of, no, no. No, no. This is part of my punishment. No, but you're talking a lot about. Exactly. I like to give details and talk about things. and I overshare out of excitement.
Starting point is 00:06:56 I don't really want to spoil something for somebody. So my punishment is... I apologize, and now my punishment is I don't get to share my thoughts. No, because that's not true. You do. No, I'm going to share where to watch it and what the title is. And then I guess y'all can say, did you like it? And I say yes or no. I will ask, okay, so yes or no reviews with Amy.
Starting point is 00:07:17 That's all she can do. Three words or something. No, because then you'll be like, they died. No, I'm like. That would give something away. You can only answer yes or no from me only when it comes to reviewing shows because I will not set you up.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Okay. Well, you think we'd set her up? Yes, because you did a funny one. But I also... But she fall for her, though. Well, no. In a setup, I would catch that because I would get the question.
Starting point is 00:07:40 I'd be like, okay, probably shouldn't answer that. But it's when I'm talking out of excitement, speaking fast and just saying something and I'm like, oh... Are you still going to rate it, though? Don't know if I'm allowed to. I feel like that's me giving too much personal. I can say, you can give it a number rating.
Starting point is 00:07:57 But you can't give it the, she can't give it the things, though. Like if it's like, if it's like American Pie, she couldn't give it, we could be like four out of five flutes. Yeah. And we'd be like, ha ha, but we don't even let her do that. I'm not allowed to. Because she'd be like four out of five dead people that died in scene 17. Oh. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:13 I get to say like three. Yes. So you're going to limit your reviews. Yeah. And I mean, I'm open to more if you all want to add it. I think that's just something that's just a new rule for me. because look, I don't want to spoil it for people, and clearly I can't stop. We have a problem.
Starting point is 00:08:31 So we need a new system here. So I apologize to anybody that I've, over the last 18 years that I've ruined. I do want to talk to people and encourage you guys if you've been kind of on the fence about getting some Pimp and Joy stuff. With tomorrow, especially payday, I just want to say again, it's a super comfortable line. And I also want to say again, we don't keep any of the money. And I do want to say again that all of it goes to build a house for a hero who served, who has a lot to deal with since serving, including the house that was built for him. For what happened to him while serving, then it was crushed in a hurricane.
Starting point is 00:09:08 But you go to bobbybones.com and buy a shirt, buy a hat, whatever you can. And all, we don't keep any of it. Any of the money goes right to building him a home. So we would encourage you to go check it out. Where we kind of screwed up this year was, and I'll put this on me, is that what we didn't do, it's going on sell Friday at 9 a.m. Because that really builds anticipation and then people get ready and said it was just, we were talking to him.
Starting point is 00:09:35 And it was like, hey, let's put it up now. So we put it up. So that being said, we just restocked some sizes that were out. You can go now. We encourage you if you do have the disposable income to get a shirt or a hat. That would be awesome. One of something too you can wear and remember that it's a reminder to spread joy because that's what Pimp and Joy is. And then you know that it gave back to something.
Starting point is 00:09:58 But then it's a reminder for you to also throughout the day like sometimes I'll look down and I'll have a certain attitude. Like we used to work with someone that he would wear a Pimp and Joy hat and his attitude at the airport was really poor. And I'd be like you can't wear that hat anymore. Yeah. So I fired him. Yeah. No, that's not what happened. Who was it?
Starting point is 00:10:14 Carlos? No. Justin the suit. Oh, here it worked at Justin. hilarious. Love Justin's suit so we can talk all the mind of them. Yeah, we like him a lot, but he would wear Pimp and Joy the airport and get so mad.
Starting point is 00:10:23 And I'm like, we banned him. You cannot wear that. I'm like, no, no, no. When you wear Pimp and Joy, it's a reminder to spread joy. And so be the opposite of Justin the suit. And you wear it and it just reminds you to know, you know, smile at someone or get the door. Like Pimp and Joy doesn't have to be a monetary thing.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Although so many listeners have spread joy in so many cool ways that they've shared with us. And it's just a good reminder. You're part of something bigger. and 4th of July the shirts are normally like very patriotic specific and these are still a little bit but you'll be able to wear them year round this year and I think that that's really cool.
Starting point is 00:10:56 Also reminds me I like Justin the suit and I haven't heard from him in a while. Every once in all Eddie and I get a text and it's like an old picture on his face he's not a Facebook guy still. He's that guy. He's still on Facebook. He's not older. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:11:10 I had no idea he was our age. I thought he was like. He is somebody who you feel like, no, not look. I mean, not say looks, but he just acts old thing, Peter. But so, like, he's Facebook guy. Like, that's his main social media. So he'll be like, six years ago today, this popped up from a Facebook feed, and he'll send it to Eddie and I. But he used to, when the raging idiots were first starting, Eddie and I were like in a car driving through state, Justin's who would drive us. Because he was like part of the radio
Starting point is 00:11:37 executive team. And then he would just drive, he was our driver. He'd take us to affiliates, drive for hours and hours. Sometimes in the middle of the night. Overnight. And so once we got our car stuff broken into, and we were in Fort La, Miami, we were doing something in South Florida, playing a show or something.
Starting point is 00:11:55 And we had flown, but we got a rental car. And we went to some strip mall type. To get Colombian food or something. Yeah, he's like, let's get some, I don't know, man. So we go and we come out and windows busted and everything's talking. They stole my computer.
Starting point is 00:12:08 They stole his computer. They stole his medicine. They stole his medicine. Oh, no. He went, no. nuts. I think the fear of not having his medicine, I'm not even sure what quote his medicine meant when I think back, but I think the fear of not having his medicine made him go crazy. We love that dude though. He was, he had flipped the F out, wouldn't he?
Starting point is 00:12:26 Oh, yeah, man. It was awesome. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. At the airport especially, it was cool. Yeah. Bones, get the phone out. Get the phone out. We wouldn't stop him. We'd record him. Oh, yeah. Which, by the way, he's not dead. We're not doing it. He lives like two hours away. My favorite thing was to like, whenever, you know, you're boarding and they're like, all right, now boarding diamond, we'd be like, hey, that's your line. And so he'd get in Diamond knowing that he was in Diamond.
Starting point is 00:12:46 And he'd say no. He'd get up to the front, sir, no. And he'd be like, God. We're like, yeah, the eighth time, dude, that they'd do that to you. They'd say to the back of the line. Yeah. So shout out just on the seat. Rest of peace.
Starting point is 00:12:59 We're still alive, though. He's still alive, though. But rest and peace of our time with us. Yeah. Let's do a little mineral. Ray, we're enough in for a middle. All right, let's do this. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:13:09 A win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
Starting point is 00:13:37 One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment. And the next, we'll talk about life, mental health, personal health, personal health, personal. purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast. It's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So, if you've ever supported me
Starting point is 00:13:55 or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to The Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant,
Starting point is 00:14:14 Let's sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about like, I'm going to get rich. That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family.
Starting point is 00:14:51 If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up? I'm Mott's Turn. And I'm Brianna Stewart. And our podcast, Game Recognized Game has never been done before.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Two active players giving you a real look at our lives and what we actually think on and off the court. Nothing's off limits. We talk trade requests. What's the vibe of that when it's like your star players like, well, I want to leave? And then actually now I'm going to stay. We talk tanking. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer,
Starting point is 00:15:36 but I think it's like definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man. You can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories. And we're like, Mommy, why did you miss that? Mommy, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized game with Stuy and Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:16:08 All right, boom. Let's see. I went to the official pronunciation. Come on. What do you think it is? I know it. Cons.
Starting point is 00:16:20 No. We have a cons. I have a can. Con. It is actually can. Ami, you're right. It's not cans or cons or con. It's can.
Starting point is 00:16:31 As in a can. You're sure. I literally was there. I literally was there. It doesn't sound right. So the company goes, Hey, can you go to France, can France, to this big, I don't remember what they called it, PR media, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:16:52 And I was like, I did not want to go. I have a show to do. It's hard. We got to, we pre-record a bunch of interviews. We pre-record some segments in case that we're trying to double up and make sure that there's no old content. And so I did not want to go because they also said, hey, if you come, you're going to work the whole time.
Starting point is 00:17:12 And not if you come, like, you get to make the decision, but if you can clear out your days, please, we need you to be here. And so I call Charlemagne, Charlemagne the God from my, from our, he's in New York, but it's our hip-hop syndicated show. One of my dear friends, and I'm like, what do you think about this? And he's like, it's a lot of work, but, and he's gone before. He was like, but you'll meet some cool people and some brands. And he's like, go, go once.
Starting point is 00:17:41 and if you don't have a choice then you should just go and not try to get out of it and so I'm like all right so I go I had no idea how enormous it was for America I thought I thought why am I flying to France and do stuff I could fly to Atlanta to do
Starting point is 00:17:59 but Atlanta there's like eight big companies 12 whatever the number is it was anybody we ever do business with this is the big secret they do they all fly France and like and mostly it's just i wouldn't say hanging out because i was in like 14 meetings i think i counted 14 meetings in two days where it's me the CEO the cFO that and i don't even know what to say sometimes
Starting point is 00:18:22 oh that's what i was going to ask you like were you ever like what am i going to what are you ever nervous or like what do you do you have like a trick yes you can juggle not like that true true no like a conversation trick so here's what i do differently than what everybody else because everybody had there was limited you had half an hour with these different people. I would go from a couple examples that I used. I met with Bank of America, which I became friends. The CMO I became
Starting point is 00:18:47 friends with. What's CMO? Chief. Money. No. What do you think it is? Manufacturing. Money. That would be cool. No. Like chief marketing. Oh, yeah. Yes. Morrow. Marketing. So, but she's from Boston.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Her and her husband married for like 40 years. A big Celtics fan. So what I do just generally, in life, and I think I've become really good at being a chameleon because I've had to be, is that, and I say part of my career is this, like, E, sometimes I'll go, hey, go cover the red carpet and do fashion. I know enough about fashion or no stuff or music or like I've had to kind of learn these things because I'm not really great at anything, but I know enough about enough things and I've been to enough. So I try, whomever I'm with, try to find the one thing that I know
Starting point is 00:19:36 we both have a shared or knowledge of, a shared interest or knowledge of. She's from Boston. I'm a massive sports fan. I know I was trying to step till 2.30 in the morning to watch basketball games, but I'd watch the Celtics pretty much all year. I know a lot about Larry Bird.
Starting point is 00:19:50 I got the Larry Bird Eddie store. So I brought up Boston Sports. Boom. We're off and running. Her husband's big Larry Bird sports guy. She's a big sports guy. And so we talked a lot of Boston sports, which then kind of opens a conversation.
Starting point is 00:20:05 any business meeting I'm ever in, I don't talk about business until like the last 5% of the meeting because most of life, if it's business or whatever business is it, it could be a job interview, it could be closing a deal, it's all relationship. It's all relationship, every bit of it. And so I'm trying to get there and just create a relationship. So when the business does come up, it's a lot easier to do the business. I do that with our executives here. I have to do that with general humans. If there's something that I need to get accomplished, or I would like for someone to accomplished with me. I would like for them. Let's have a bit of a relationship. See if we kind of how, why we would like each other, how we like each other. And then we'd probably like to do business together
Starting point is 00:20:46 if that's the case. So my trick is, because they would get in, they'd be like, so how can we better our relationship? If I could beat people in, I'm just, I'm going in personal stuff hard. And so, but that's generally how I do any meeting with anybody ever. But with her, easy. And then we sat next to each other at Lenny Kravitz show, like purposefully. because she was awesome. And like her husband was a big golfer. And they were like going to Scotland. And so we, that turned into,
Starting point is 00:21:14 we then texted each other. And so if I ever, and I have definitely have Bank of America. And I showed her too. I was like, just so you don't think I'm full of crap. You showed her the card? I logged into my app.
Starting point is 00:21:26 You're like, here's my debit card. Yeah. I was like, because everybody's full of crap. Because that's the whole point. Be so full of crap. People want to buy stuff. I just want to prove to people that I'm not full of crap.
Starting point is 00:21:34 And so I'm like, I logged in. I was like, by the way, before we start the business part of this, here, boom. Now I wouldn't have pulled that trick off had it not been real. I'd have found a different way to do it. But I'm just picturing. You showed her your bank account? That's cool.
Starting point is 00:21:49 What was in the world? It was overdrawn. It said overdrawn. Funny. I logged in. I did log into my app in front of her because I was like, I had this many Bank of America accounts. Because like I take care of my sister and I have an account for her. I have different reasons to have accounts.
Starting point is 00:22:08 And so, not fully taken to my sister. She works, but I definitely help with her and the kids. And so just established a relationship, moved on, then got to business at the very, very end. And I would say I could text her. She's still in France. But I could go to Boston and call and be like, hey, we want to come out of the office. She'd be like, let's go. Show you the vault?
Starting point is 00:22:28 The big bank. That's awesome. I don't know she works at a bank. I'm not sure how the building she works. But it was really for me crazy to see all of the American businesses that were out there just chilling Finding a way to go to France Because it's a lot of work
Starting point is 00:22:44 And then people would then go out and party and stuff For like four or five nights I never did What you do? I had work stuff to do So I don't want to anyway And Caitlin went but we did She knew I was working the whole time
Starting point is 00:22:54 And so She went out in France No she went Get this She had friends that were there working What? I'm telling telling you, the person that introduced us, her friend from Oklahoma, we didn't even know.
Starting point is 00:23:06 I post on Instagram. She goes, I'm out here too. I'm doing this. It was wild. How many people were out there? Wow. Why were we not there? Exactly. Well, it was hard. I'm tired. Like, extremely tired. Flew there and flew back. Met Andre 3000. So, I mean, I did meet him. I said hello to him. You did. Awesome. But I know off the we were talking to her like, man, it's felt like a waste of money to send me all the way out there. But it wasn't. I have now learned that it wasn't. Ignorance.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Boy, do I have it sometimes. Amen. Hey, hey freaking men. Yeah. I had a couple of things I wanted to mention. Someone said, I did, I get out of flight. I'll just do like,
Starting point is 00:23:51 hey, if you have anything you want to know, send me a question. Mostly it's like, I get bored. Nobody really wants to know anything. Everybody's like, when you're having kids? It's like the question everybody asks all the time. That's a good question. But I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:59 I don't know. No, that's a question. that people shouldn't ask. Right. I agree. And I don't know. And I say it on the show. Like, we're not,
Starting point is 00:24:06 she's not pregnant right now. We do plan on having kids at some point. We'll see what happens. I had LungeFucks actually think. It's crazy to me. But you didn't let him have a reason, though. There's probably a reason. That stunned to you that he had a sensible thought.
Starting point is 00:24:18 At first I was like, yeah, that's that obviously. And then I was like, oh, look at Lunge Fugs having a heart. I know that you have a heart. Don't get me wrong. But I mean, he's alive. Yeah, it beats. I mean, I got blood just like you. I know.
Starting point is 00:24:29 That is, knowing that that's not a healthy question to ask, is you having empathy for someone that might get asked that maybe... Oh, it ain't because I don't even think about fertility issues, what you're thinking? I was just thinking, like, I have three kids. Everybody's like, when's the fourth? Mind your business. I'm like, guys, like, relax. Like, can we enjoy our three and, you know, if things happen? Do people really care, though?
Starting point is 00:24:50 Like, do they really want to know when you're having your fourth? Oh, no, I'm talking about. But that's the go-to question. It's the number one question. And it's not number one anymore. But it's, so that comes in. but somebody was like, new listeners will come on to be like, hey, can I hear more, what's, like, more of your life story? The real one was, can you tell more about your life and what you've been through, something like that?
Starting point is 00:25:10 So I post it. I don't post a lot of those specific, but I wrote on there an exaggeration of what a meeting is like with the executives whenever they come in once every year and a half or so. And they're like, hey, this is what's working on the show, this is what's not working. And rarely do they say, don't do this anymore, but they'll go, just so you know, here's the data. they'll research the show. And someone was like, and my answer was, they were like, can you tell us more about what you've gone through in your life? And I said, hey, listen to the show for five minutes.
Starting point is 00:25:37 I'm sure it'll come up. And then I do a back and forth of me and the execs where the execs are like, hey, because this is really an exaggeration, but it's what happens in meeting sometimes. Exex. Hey, you should really talk a lot more about how you grow up poor because you really relate to people and talk about growing up in the trailer park
Starting point is 00:25:54 and me and the meeting going, man, I really don't want to do that as much. Like, that's definitely a fundamental part of who I am. But if I do it too much, it feels, and the exact are like, you know, no, no, but there's no listeners come on all the time. And I think they should know who you are because that's a reason you say a lot of the things that you say. And then, you know, a lot of America. And I'm like, but I don't want it to feel like I'm forcing that down their throat, like how I grew up. And yeah, I did grow up extremely poor.
Starting point is 00:26:22 But a lot of people grew up. And they're like, do you want to be poor again? I'm like, what do you mean? Well, you could have low ratings, we could fire you. And then I'm like, I was a young boy on food stamps. It all started. In 19. So I didn't want to.
Starting point is 00:26:39 So, but the trip was good. And then I think I got a lot accomplished. A lot of, I think I have a lot of comp. I think I got a lot accomplished. I hung out with the, our company's now split into two, meaning there's an entire podcast world that has its own like, president just like broadcast just like
Starting point is 00:26:59 and I knew him a little bit but I met that guy I bet you haven't what's his first name what's his first name that with names you say with the G I know I've never met
Starting point is 00:27:12 a D okay you have 24 letters left keep going E so I had met like this guy named Will who was high up who was really
Starting point is 00:27:20 very high up but not the head head guy guy named Connell who I first time I met Connell And, you know. Oh, it's an elevator with him. You hear all these stories about, oh, you don't want to have to negotiate with Connell. And it was like, they were the greatest.
Starting point is 00:27:33 So it was good in that way, too. What do they say? You don't want him away? Well, it's like, these high up executives, like, oh, you never want to get a negotiation with Connell. Oh, yeah, yeah. And I'm like, oh, you're right. I don't. And then you hang out and you're like, oh, this dude's awesome.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Normal dude. Like, normal dude, obviously, you got to be good and make tough decisions to get to a high. But, no, he's great. Oh, yeah, I don't know that guy. Yeah, I don't think I ever met him. but the trip was fun weird people in friends I got not allowed to eat at a restaurant
Starting point is 00:28:00 because my attire that wasn't up to dress code it's in the middle of the day an outside restaurant and I had a collared shirt on and shorts sounds like a terrible place and there are people that
Starting point is 00:28:12 people are really dressed they're dressed in almost universally head to toe designer stuff wow once the festival or whatever that was
Starting point is 00:28:25 conference gets going about day two or three not so much because people are tired but they they're like you're not up to dress code and I was like dang that's funny you just dress like normal like like this yeah well I was just a little better than this to be honest because now I'm just in a sweatshirt so did you keep your boycott I haven't had any french fries good how long are you doing that I said 30 days oh boy that's tough I'm like six I said I'd join you um for two days are you guys familiar with Jay Shetty? Mm-hmm. I don't know him.
Starting point is 00:28:54 I saw the picture, but I don't know him. Fame's fractured, but he's wildly famous in the podcast world. His 15 million Instagram followers. Dang. It doesn't matter how famous you are. He gets you on his show. He used to, he was like...
Starting point is 00:29:09 He married J-Lo and... He married J-Lo? No, he was the... Yeah. Whatever. I don't know how old he is. I don't think he's as old as I am. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:19 He's 36. Yeah. So he led a meditation. He worked with a lot of actors Oh, Will Smith and stuff Like that's when he blew up and started getting with That's where he had so many Hollywood connections I think he did like something in the monastery
Starting point is 00:29:32 I don't think he was a full monk I think something can't But yes I think Yes he was a monk Ish type thing He's a partial monk Is it interesting If that's plausible
Starting point is 00:29:42 I'm not even sure There was some controversy I don't know I'm down Anyway massive And so I don't want to bother him Because again Super famous guy
Starting point is 00:29:49 He dabbled in munking Yeah he munked a bit Yeah So he, they had me and him and Wilder Valderama, Valderrama. Wadorama. Valderrama. Out there. And it's not going to matter to you guys because he's not famous to you.
Starting point is 00:30:06 But he was extremely kind. And a part, you know, part of his thing is like balance in life and mental health. And there were people that wanted to wait in line to talk to him. And while he was talking to my, Caitlin, she's a bigger fan than I am. She's known him longer. say. I think she's read a book by him. When he talks to you, nothing else in the world's happening around you. Really? And that whole town, that whole conference felt like when I'm walking a red carpet, and I feel like somebody's talking to me, they're looking around me to see who else
Starting point is 00:30:35 is bigger and better they can talk to. That's all, that's what it feels like. That's what that conference felt like a bit. Like, the guy would stand and just talk and ask questions. And the whole time I'm like, he doesn't want to be here. And is, uh, it's really refreshing. For his eyes, He says beautiful in person. Couldn't be more beautiful. Yeah. He's got brilliant. I mean, his eyes are just really pretty.
Starting point is 00:30:57 15 million Instagram followers. Regardless, he was really, really special. Because everybody wanted to talk to him. And when he was like talking to us, nobody else existed. Is everyone want to talk to him to like get some advice? Yeah. Tell me I was, hey, do you help me meditate, man.
Starting point is 00:31:15 I don't think that's how that works. But can you lead me in a meditation? I don't think right then they would do that. Can you get me on my life on track? Real quick. That'd be tough real quick. But while we were doing the meditation, before the first thing I spoke at,
Starting point is 00:31:27 he came and showed up and led a meditation. And there were like 50 people or so. And it was like a two or three minute meditation. And people were seeing him doing it, and they were running to the cafe that we had for the four days. And like they couldn't get in because it was full. But they were like standing outside of meditating with their eyes closed. You would just see people standing out on the streets meditating.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Wow. Like he was that big to people. It's super cool. Really nice guy. Lenny Kravitz was crazy good. He's 60. His eyes of Jay Shetty, the abs of Lenny Kravitz.
Starting point is 00:32:03 Oh, man. Is he red shirtless? Nobody had a net shirt on. He likes those sheer shirts. I would too if I like that. Trust me. Leather pants? Obviously.
Starting point is 00:32:11 And he played hits for like 45, 50 minutes at this private party. And people, you can go to my Instagram and see him playing because I didn't post. Nobody wants to see a whole song. like the first 15 seconds of three or four of his big songs. People like, why are people standing up?
Starting point is 00:32:26 Well, before he came on, it was actually like a presentation. Like a, hey, thank you. This is what we're doing. This is the growth of the,
Starting point is 00:32:32 and then Lenny's like, hey, what's up? And he starts to play. Then everybody got up and went to town. Yeah. But you got to do that. Even if there are tables and seats,
Starting point is 00:32:39 you got to get up. And we did. But I wanted to, me and Bank of America, we're like, what's wrong with people? The CMO. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Then we finally got up and it was awesome. All right. Let's see if there isn't. Mark Chestnut is... What? He is undergoing or undergone emergency heart surgery. Oh, no. I meant to talk about it on the show, but this...
Starting point is 00:33:03 I didn't have this paper until later. But Mark Chestnut, do a better job of this, Bobby. Okay. Bubba shot the jukebox last night. Said he heard a sad song. Made him cry. Went to his truck and got a 45. Or, I'm going through the big deal.
Starting point is 00:33:20 You don't mean Dallas. I can't believe what the judge had to tell us. I got the Jeep. She got the palace. Hold on. Palace. Yeah. Or it's a little too late to do the right thing now.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Oh, yeah. In the jam too. Country music veteran 90s star Mark Chestnut experienced a medical emergency over the weekend. ending up in the hospital and being forced to undergo emergency quadruple bypass heart surgery. Oh. Chestnut wrote it's with a heavy heart. That's funny. He would write that.
Starting point is 00:33:47 Yeah. A bad boy. Heavy heart after he had a four. He's being funny. Do you think it was that? Was that on accident? Yes, yes. He's a, I mean, we've had him in here.
Starting point is 00:33:55 He's a funny guy. What ever happened? Remember when I was supposed to go to his house? What? Whoa. And y'all were, like, doing this whole thing. Like, it was like, you were teasing like, Amy in the Nut. Amy in the Nut.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Oh, yeah. That's right. And I don't know what happened. I don't know what happened. I don't either. Lunchbox and I went to one of his shows. Man, he tried to spin that beer bottle off the stage. And then it didn't quite make it off stage.
Starting point is 00:34:15 He chugged the Miller light. Like, just, and then through the beer bottle. Maybe why he's having a heart problem. Yeah. But it didn't have the effect. When you look at that now, maybe there's something there. A connection? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Okay. And I'll do one other thing before we go. Mike D. Tomorrow we're going to do easy trivia, which we always do. Mike D and I will go through questions, and Mike writes the questions, and we look through them. These are some that we're not going to use. These are some that we're not going to use. And I wanted to run some of them by you.
Starting point is 00:34:44 I need the back page. Oh, man. The back page are the harder ones. I think I tossed it, if I was looking at them. Can you give me the back page? And we hardly ever get to the end of this. Oh, because they're really hard. Once you get to the back page, it's no longer easy.
Starting point is 00:35:01 It's not, yeah. Yeah, at some time it's got to get 1% harder. 1%. Okay, here we go, here we go, go. Oh, no. Buzz in with your answer. Okay. Yep.
Starting point is 00:35:13 All four you guys can play. Morgan, you play too. All right. What's the largest two-digit number? Lunchbox. Lunchbox. 99. Correct.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Wow, that's quick. It's quick, but we've gotten that. I don't know. You would have gotten it. It's just a weird question. You're like, like, just two digits. Okay. What's the opposite of subtraction?
Starting point is 00:35:32 What's my, Eddie? Addition. Correct. What is three by four? Morgan, 12. Correct. How many sides of the triangle have? Amy.
Starting point is 00:35:42 That's right. Amy. Three. Good. And again, these aren't super hard, but they're the end of, this is the final boss. and easy trivia. Here we go. What's the chemical symbol for salt?
Starting point is 00:35:55 Eddie. Eddie. N-A. It's correct. Incorrect. What? Table salt. Oh.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Oh. T, B. L-S. D. P. Oh, S. N-A-C-L. Man. What did I say? N-A.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Just N-A. Damn. So close. What's the most abundant gas in Earth's atmosphere? Lunchbox. Nitrogen. Yeah, good job. How did you know that?
Starting point is 00:36:17 How is smart. How did you know that? Okay. Finally, what country is famous for its dish of seasoning, grilled, skewered meat, lunchbox? Lunchbox. Australia. Amy.
Starting point is 00:36:26 Amy. Greece. Correct. Officer up with pita bread and tiziki sauce. Dang it. I thought you were going to say on the bobby. I was waiting for the tziki sauce. I thought he was going to say on the bobby.
Starting point is 00:36:34 Shrimp on the bobby. You mean the bobby? The bobby. Is that an accent though or is that what it's said? No, it's an accent. It's the barbecue. Oh my God. That's what that is?
Starting point is 00:36:43 Yeah. The barbecue? Yeah. The barbecue? The barbub. The barbub. Yeah, shrimp on the grill. Yeah, you go over to their house.
Starting point is 00:36:48 I was today years old when I learned that. Really? Hey, I didn't know that either. Yeah, I did not know that. The Bob, jump on the Bobby. Uh-huh. I didn't have his barbecue. They're grilling Trent.
Starting point is 00:36:56 That's where I really thought he was going, man. Trick. Wow. Okay, that's it. Thank you. See you tomorrow. Oh, oh. We'll see you tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:37:05 I forgot to talk about the celebrity that I DM'd. Oh, yeah. I'll do it 25 whistles today. I'll do it 20-5 whistles. Okay, thank you. Goodbye, everybody. A win is a win. A win.
