Starting point is 00:02:59 There's a lot of luck. Yeah. Listen to thanks, Dad. on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome to Thursday show. Morning in studio. Morning. Lunchbox missed about half the show on Monday because he claimed he was going to go shoot a TV show in Eastern Tennessee.
Starting point is 00:03:31 To everybody but lunchbox, is that claim accurate? Did everybody hear that the same way? Yes, that's what he said. Just making sure. Now, he has told us nothing about it. He said, hey, do you mind if I leave the show early? Sure. Chase your dreams, buddy.
Starting point is 00:03:43 And he did. and is there anything you can tell us now about it? I can say that, man, when they tell you they're going to treat you like royalty, VIP, I mean, they rolled out the red carpet. It was everything I wanted it to be in more. Details. What details can you give us? What television show was it?
Starting point is 00:04:00 Was it for an episode, a series? I was on an episode, just one episode. My theory was it was White Lotus, Knoxville. The Smoky Mountain. No, it's a pigeon forge. Which is a small town. Yes, and it's their tourism. board and they shoot a reality show.
Starting point is 00:04:16 A reality show? What network? What streaming service? YouTube. Okay. He told us it was a TV show. No, it is a TV. Is YouTube not TV? Oh, YouTube TV shows, television networks. Listen, I bet it's going to be cool, but you made us believe you were taking off to go shoot a TV show. No, no, it was a TV show. They had camera crew, everything. They had everything.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Sound guys. They had sound people. They had everything. It was the same thing. as a TV show. Okay, go ahead. But I mean, when Pigeon Forge says they're going to give you the VIP treatment, they give you the VIP treatment. Hey, man, you want this, you want some food, it's absolutely free. Here you go, here's some nice clothes. They gave me some, you know, shirts, they gave me free this, free that.
Starting point is 00:05:02 It was amazing. They gave you this and that? Yeah. Wardrobe and cater. And let's just say my episode was awesome. Are you competing? Is it like a reality show? No, there's families that are competing.
Starting point is 00:05:13 And I am the one His throat, get you a little bit He pushed the cough button His yeast infection, I think is bothering him He's like he did the end And the quiet button and the quiet button And he's pushed the button and talked over the talk Yeah, go ahead
Starting point is 00:05:26 Anyway, I would just say there are four families competing And the competition is I am in this competition And I'm in a I don't know what I'm hosting it I am a co-host Okay And
Starting point is 00:05:41 I don't know what I can say according to my lawyers. Did your other host, your co-host know about your yeast infection? Like, how close are you? True. That's a good point. We were close. Like, we're close.
Starting point is 00:05:54 But in my episode, I'm in a big orb. And it's like a mountain. I'm on top of a mountain. And the contestants line up at the start line. And they try to race down the mountain and I try to run them over in the orb. Got it. And let's just say, it was a good day. So I'm happy you did it.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Do you guys feel misled a little bit? I still don't really understand what it was. It feels like it was just content by the tourism board of- No, no, it's a show. Yeah. Like there's episodes. Yeah. Yeah, it's content.
Starting point is 00:06:28 No, no, like it's literally an episode, it's a show. Like, it's a TV show. Do we know the name of the TV show? Did you say that? It's the Pigeon Forge Family Challenge. It's sort of like the challenge on MTV. How did you get a... How'd they get in touch with you?
Starting point is 00:06:44 So the guy that works for the agency, his wife is a big fan of the show and is like, oh my gosh, you should reach out to Lunchbox. He would be great for this. And so, boom, he reached out to me and I was like, oh my gosh, let's go. So the Pigeon Forge Family Challenge,
Starting point is 00:07:02 you can find it on the network, mypigeonforge.com. I mean, network. Yeah, thank you. I'm sure it's fun. I'm just, I'm sure it's fun and awesome. And I hope they paid you well and hope it came off awesome.
Starting point is 00:07:13 You just presented it to us like you were going to be on a Netflix show. I never said Netflix. No, I know, but you... I never said Netflix. Google does call it a TV program, though. It is a TV program. I am telling you. It's on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:07:27 For sure. It is 100% of it. I'm not even hating it. I guess there's nothing about what he did. I'm just talking about his presentation to us as to why he wanted to go. He made us think he was getting put on a TV show. Well, what is TV these days? That's not the point.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Thank you, Amy. What is TV? What is? Was it TV? Was there camera crew? Was their sound equipment? Did they have to do mic checks? Did they have to do all that?
Starting point is 00:07:48 Did they have to reshoot things? No, I'm happy for it. It's awesome. I hope everything's great. I hope it gets more streams than anything else. Does they say action? When does it happen? When are they air it?
Starting point is 00:07:56 It'll be coming up in a couple months. They've got to edit all together, filming the rest of this week, and then we'll start rolling it out. You'll let us know? I'll let you know. I'll let you know. Oh, I don't know about that.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Yeah, I'll let us know. You have to know. It's a TV show. I probably had to go to that. Okay. So that's it. That's the update on lunchboxes, television show. And where can you look at it? What are to say? Mypigeonforge.com slash family dash challenge. That's right. There you go. That's right. Oh, Bobby Bones, big podcast listener. I need some help with a family situation. I'm 18 in my first year of college.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Six months ago, my mom started dating a new guy. Last weekend they were married. After the ceremony, my mom's new husband, kind of got in my face and made it known that he was now my quote, dad, and he should be respected as such. First off, I think respect. is earned. Secondly, it was incredibly odd that you would choose his own wedding to confront me like this. Thirdly, he not so subtly veiled threatened me that if I didn't treat him like he expected, he would also encourage my mom to stop contributing to my education. It should also be known that I've never once been rude or nasty to him. I'm just 18 years old. I have other things I'm dealing with. Do I bring my mom in on this or just let it slide and see what happens? Signed, stepdaddy drama. First of all, you did not deserve this. Second, I'm a lot. I'm not. Second, all, how weird at his wedding he demands respect as a stepdad.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Third of all, he's not really your stepdad. You're an adult. Stepdad's like, I had a stepdad. I was 11 or 12 when my mom remarried and she married Arkansas Keith. That was a stepdad because he was a father-like influence on me as I was still able to be influenced as a kid. If your mom gets married at 25, okay, legally maybe that's your stepdad. Banking your stepdad. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:51 No, I mean, there's a difference in stepdad and mom's husband. Yeah, there is. You know what I would do is I would let it slide for now. Your mom just got married. I would just think about your mom here. I think she needs to be brought in if anything else happens from this on or you wait a month or so to bring it up to her if you are going to bring it up. I just wouldn't do it right this second right as they're married out of respect to them.
Starting point is 00:10:12 And too, this doucheback doesn't deserve you being emotionally affected by it or triggered by it. Let him do his thing. He's struggling with something. Anulment window, though. Like, don't you want to give her a chance to get out? I bet she knows. I bet she knows what kind of guy he is. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:29 That's because that is concerning to me. I agree. It is concerning. Unless you feel like he is not respectful to your mom as well. Like this could be... Well, it is. It's like I'm going to tell your mom to quit playing for your school if you don't... He's a loser.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Yeah. He's a loser. I would say wait a bit if you're going to go talk to your mom. Let him have their wedding and their fun time. Don't remove that from them. If anything else happens, if there is one millimeter of him being a D-bag again, I would go to your mom. and not like tell on him. Be like, hey, mom, how do you feel about this?
Starting point is 00:10:59 Because if you're asking for her advice, she will not feel, as I like to say, on her heels. Like she is defensive. Because if you're like, he's doing this, she's going to feel like she needs to defend him immediately because he's your new quote stepdad. But if you go to her and say, can I get your advice on something that's maybe uncomfortable?
Starting point is 00:11:15 It's much easier for her to have that conversation. So if one other thing, one other slight thing happens was you or your siblings, I would go and ask advice from your mom. Right now, I'd give it a beat. especially if he has no other history of being a D-bag like this. Maybe wedding night, like he signs it. He's like, I'm the dad now. I got to.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Weird. It's weird. All of us think it's weird. But if it's the only time, something can happen once and never happen again. If something happens twice, it's likely it'll happen a third time. Yeah. Fool me once. Shame on.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Okay, you don't even know how to say it. Yes, I do. You're pointing me to bail you out. No. No. I'm not. Okay. Full me once, shame on you.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Fool me twice. Shame on me. fool me three times, don't be fooled again. That's right. That's what he said. That's what he said. All right, there you go. That's the mailbox. Close it up.
Starting point is 00:12:02 There's a Texas company, this is from Axios, who's attempting to bring back extinct animals, and they announced Monday the revival of the once, long gone, dire wolf. So I'm going to read you some of this. Guys, this is Jurassic Park waiting to happen again. Eventually, it's going to go from wolves to dogs to woolly mammoths to freaking Tyrannosaurus wrecks.
Starting point is 00:12:23 You know we're all going to get eaten. what they're saying. Quote, our team took DNA from a 13,000-year-old tooth and a 72,000-year-old skull and made healthy dire wolf puppies. This is exactly Jurassic Park. The company's based in Dallas with some employees in Austin. Flashback, the wolves thought to have been extinct
Starting point is 00:12:42 for over 12,500 years, where as much as 25% larger than gray wolves had a slightly wider head, light, thick fur, and a stronger jaw. Big, big wolf. and it has a crazy howl. And so now they're howling as well. It looks like a massive,
Starting point is 00:13:00 it looks like a wolf meets a moose. Wow. But like a wolf way bigger. But if they're taking DNA, you're telling me, you ain't going to grab a stegosaurus bone and do this with that eventually? It's life imitating art
Starting point is 00:13:13 instead of art imitating life. I feel so stupid because I don't understand how you can take DNA and create a living animal. I do not understand how the internet works. I do not understand how my television works. Yeah, I don't know how that works. I can't fix my car. But why do we need this
Starting point is 00:13:28 wolf back? Yeah, why are they doing this? Why this wolf? Can't we like try to grow something else? My understanding would be that if we're doing the wolf and we're bringing back old extinct things, it is for a much greater need and purpose in their mind or a greater need, the ability to make more money to do greater, grander things. Extinct animals, dinosaurs. Could they bring back Aunt Sally? Probably not in the way that you think, but it's like when they clone, it's not exactly the same, but it's very much the same. It looks like Ansely, but DNA same, but not experiences, memories because of what the brain has had to hold. But like, but for science, this is basically for science. But what if you need to create a whole, let's say not extinct, let's say it's almost extinct
Starting point is 00:14:14 and there's part of the ecosystem that you need to live that needs to continue the ecosystem at the same rate. You could take DNA and create that animal that allows the ecosystem to remain. Like if you could do that with bees, they would do that right now because of the bee population that's dying in a lot of places that ends up killing so much of the food supply because of what they do. So they can do it with this wolf? I can't they do it with bees. I don't know why they can't do with an insect. I don't know how they do with a wolf. I know nothing except Jurassic Park.
Starting point is 00:14:37 I'm telling you. I just saw Jurassic Park when I saw the story. But yeah, when you're like, I don't know how to do anything that I do. But if there are no of those kinds of wolves, like how does it give birth? How does it become an animal? How does in vitro fertilization work? Well, they put that in to somebody. Sure, but I'm saying we have to give birth to that.
Starting point is 00:14:58 No one ever knew that until somebody had a scientific mind to go. We can go in the body, pull out this thing that we probably just recently learned because we didn't even know what sperm was until the 18. Again, we are learning things all the time that allow us to take a micro part of the organism, which is the DNA. Yeah. And turn it into the bigger part. So it's basically just expanding that singular. It's not even a single cell, but basically that. Well, to piggyback off of that,
Starting point is 00:15:25 did they insert it into like a dog and the dog gives birth to the wolf or what? Yeah, this is, I don't know how to do anything. I just read the story. That's what I'm wondering. And not Jurassic Park, because I've just seen that movie. Because it doesn't hatch like an egg, but in Jurassic Park they hatched.
Starting point is 00:15:41 My understanding, just from reading the story is that I have no idea. I mean, but they did it. Doesn't make sense to me. They were able to create it. Yes. did they probably put it in a female dog and she have the new dogs? Probably, yes.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Much like you would do like IVF. Then that would be half dog. But then like the dog can't consent to that. No, it wouldn't. It wouldn't. It wouldn't be theirs at all. Oh, they would just care. It would be like a surrogate.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Yeah, surrogate. But. Wait, so, Ken, like that. We're breaking something down we have no idea about. There's no, there's no need for us to follow because we don't know. I know, but poor, poor dog. So they had a male and a female tooth and they were able to get a skull and a tooth. That's right.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Yeah. They're just going to make a Tyrannosaurus Rex was my whole point of that story. Eventually. They didn't need any sperm? They need it. I know. But they don't need sperm to clone things. They don't?
Starting point is 00:16:33 No. Yeah, no, I don't know. They just need the DNA. Got it. I'm going to do a couple of voicemails. This is Chris from California. I love the show. I try to listen to as much as I possibly can.
Starting point is 00:16:44 I am 10 years old. And I just want to know why you discontinued. the mailbag and started doing the other thing. I forgot how it's called. Love the show. Thank you for asking. So we did not discontinue the mailbag, but the other thing is because people couldn't remember the mailbag.
Starting point is 00:17:02 They do all this research on the show, and sometimes I listen, and they were like, hey, the mailbag, people love it. It tests wonderfully. But no one remembers the name of it because it's so generic. So we still do it. It's just now called the anonymous inbox, which we did a few minutes ago,
Starting point is 00:17:15 and there's a song with it. It's the anonymous inbox. Same thing. we just had to give it a slightly hookier title so people would remember it. Okay. Give me the next one, Ray. It'd be neat if once a week you could ask the people that have called in in the past and there's been plenty of the mailbag to give an update.
Starting point is 00:17:36 There's so many things that I wonder, well, how did it turn out? So I thought it'd be neat if you do mailback updates. I agree and sometimes they do message in or call the voicemail line back and we do put them on. Most don't. Most just want to hear the advice and then move on. And sometimes I probably don't even take the advice, so there is no update. But I would take every bit of advice I give. Chef's Kiss, A plus advice.
Starting point is 00:18:00 Finally, I'll give you a story from Reuters on the Wolf. 20 genes of gray wolves were edited with the DNA to include dire wolf traits in gray wolf cells. Through cloning, embryos were created from the edited gray wolf cells, and these were implanted in surrogate, domesticated dog mothers. Three different dogs gave birth to the pups. There you go. So I don't even understand all those words. I think I get it. But I kind of have a broad idea of why.
Starting point is 00:18:23 And then again, I say to you, T-Rex. That's what I say to you. First wolves, then T-Rex. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Joyce Poplin is retiring as principal of Nebo Elementary in North Carolina. She's been principal for 16 years. But before that, she was a kindergarten teacher for 30 years.
Starting point is 00:18:46 And then she went to school at this place. So this is her school. So the students were like, what do we do? We got to do something special for Ms. Poplin. Well, the students and old alumni got together and they did a high school musical. Like a musical with songs, stories all about her. Like I got a little chill to my legs to think about all the work they did, how she would feel watching that. Like, even a parade is cool.
Starting point is 00:19:10 But like the work to ride a musical and then perform it as she's watching. That's legit. Yeah, that's really cool. I've honestly never heard of that. Me either. That's cool. I thought that's so cool that she went to school. there, she was a teacher there for so long, then she was the principal. That was her place.
Starting point is 00:19:24 What's the name of the school? It was Nibo Elementary. So after she dies, they should name the school after her. Oh. The Joyce Poplin Elementary? Just Poplin Elementary, sure. Oh, yeah. Two names never works. You can do that, but no one never calls it that. Right. Don't do it while someone's alive because they still have the ability to murder pillage race. I don't see Joyce murdering. I don't either, but hey, Jolo pudding pops. We didn't see that coming either. And there's got to be a couple Cosby Elementary that had to get changed real quick. You know, I mean, I went to Weinstein High. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:19:54 Yeah. I went to Diddy Elementary. You went to, oh, I didn't know you went to Diddy Elementary. That's about. Oh, no. Golly. Yeah, you can't, because it could be like financial, not that she's going to do it. Sure, sure.
Starting point is 00:20:06 But you tell her like a coach in waiting. So what will happen? Sometimes Amy, they'll have a head coach. Let's say Nick Saban was coach of Alabama. This didn't happen. But if he had a guy that was an assistant for 20 years and he was like, this is my assistant, Jonathan Diddy. He's coaching waiting
Starting point is 00:20:22 So when I'm out He's the new head coach You could do this like school name and waiting Upon death Yeah It's kind of dark But still Little dark
Starting point is 00:20:30 That's a great story I really feel bad about I did the elementary All you guys had to change It's okay man I can't even tell my kids Where I went to school I know
Starting point is 00:20:38 I know There you go That's what it's all about That was tell me something good From women's health What makes the perfect spouse So they did a thousand men in the U.S. ages 18 to 58,000 women.
Starting point is 00:20:53 And the men and the women list of characteristics, top three that they're looking for. So I'm going to have you guys do the same. Take 15 seconds, right? Put a little timer music on for us. What makes the perfect spouse? Because I can read you the traits, but I want you guys to have yours first.
Starting point is 00:21:10 So there's any spouse in general or just a man. Well, for you, it would be a man. Yes. Or it could be a woman. Who knows? If you want to announce that, we're all for it. Okay. We are supportive.
Starting point is 00:21:22 So when everybody's done with their top three, I'll read you what the list says. All right. Time, time, time. And Eddie's still working on his. No, that's not to choose for him. So the husband, women want, is loyal is number one. And don't change your answers, girls. And guys, you don't change your answers once I did this.
Starting point is 00:21:50 You got it. Never. Okay. Loyal. A good person. provider and attractive in that order. The wife that men want is sexually attractive. They even list that differently.
Starting point is 00:22:06 Yeah, they do. Attractive and sexually attractive. Independent, financially savvy. So those are the three general ones across the board. So let's go to the ladies first. Amy, what were the three? You listed spouse traits, most important. important to you. Shoot, I didn't think about the looks
Starting point is 00:22:25 parks. No, that's a given. No, no, no, nothing's a given. You've got to be attracted. But nothing's a given. Okay. What do you have? And number one is emotional intelligence, so that they can have access to emotion. Okay. Protection.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Have a gun? No, I just meant like they... Strong? Bodyguard? Protective. Oh, fight at a bar. Somebody stepped on your shoe, they punch somebody. Just all type. of like I want to feel safe. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:55 And? With them. So it's not about that. Supportive. Okay. Those were the first three. Morgan, what did you put? So in my number one spot, I have consistency.
Starting point is 00:23:05 Someone who's very consistent. You know who they are all the time. It doesn't really change. Number two, one on the list, I have loyalty. And that's given. You don't want to be cheated on. I would say those two are in the same-ish category, though. Do you think consistency and loyalty are?
Starting point is 00:23:20 Yeah. I think loyalty involves a lot of consistency. They're not exactly. same, but I can see where your trauma is speaking here. Okay, right. Yeah, yeah. All right. Go ahead. And then my third one is communicator, someone who knows how to communicate, have conversations, that kind of stuff. Let's go over to the guys. Yeah. I give mine too. Oh, you want to go first over there? If you want me to do. What are your three? Number one was
Starting point is 00:23:41 hottie with a body. So attractive. Yep. Okay. Second one was sense of humor. Got a laugh at my jokes because you know I'm funny. Your jokes only. No, no, not my jokes only, but like I like going to comedy shows. And so if you don't enjoy that, get out of here. Like, I'm sarcastic, so you need to be able to handle that. That feels different than sense of humor. Because sense of humor, I think, is somebody who is funny on their own. You're like someone who just must enjoy your sense of humor. Like a consumer. And then sometimes people use sarcasm as a way to be passive aggressive. But his thing wasn't sense of humor. His was like must like his sense of humor and put up with his. Interesting. Yeah. Okay. Next one. Cook.
Starting point is 00:24:17 So hot sense of humor and cook. Yep. Okay. Eddie? You guys don't want a woman to cook? Sure, but that's not. Okay, whatever. What are your top three? Number one's attractive, for sure. Like, Morgan and I didn't put that at all. Well, you weren't being honest.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Well, they didn't even put money on there either, so they weren't being honest. Let's be real. They're all frauds. We're able to take care of ourselves. Yeah, I was going to say. Financially, independent women. Say you have looks. Go ahead. Yeah, looks.
Starting point is 00:24:46 And then I have a sense of humor. What do you? I have sense of humor. I just didn't want lunchboxes. But his was different. His was his sense of humor. I have a sense of humor. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:58 And the last one is financially responsible. What are you doing? Is that really what you wrote? It's really what I wrote. Well, I wrote spending money, but that's what I meant. Okay. Then say what you wrote. Well, spending money, but I didn't know how to word that.
Starting point is 00:25:15 It's financially responsible. But you have to word it how you think it. Like, it's the way you wrote it. It's like you want a woman that spends money. No, no, no, I want her to be responsible. It feels like you heard what I said and then changed your answer to this. No, no, no, I want her to be responsible when spending money. What about you?
Starting point is 00:25:29 I don't spend any money. Okay, you gamble, you golf, you have all these little hobbies. No, I don't. It's very limited. But you said two things. You said, no, I don't, but then you said it's very limited. I'm just for the record. Thank you, I'm not the guy.
Starting point is 00:25:45 You did say two things. And your list is all over the place. And you change it in the middle of it to pick bigger work. No, well, I'm to explain myself better. So you want a woman that just doesn't blow money. Yeah. That's what I want. Got it.
Starting point is 00:25:59 On mine, I put funny, smart, and attractive. So number one's funny, which probably is like Morgan's were funny and smart are kind of the same thing. Like you can't really be hilarious unless you're smart and then attractive. Sure. All of us probably put, it gets guys. We're cavemen. That's number one. That's number one.
Starting point is 00:26:15 I put three for me, but it's still in the top of three. Well, yours wasn't an order, was it? Yeah. Oh. Yeah, of course it's an order. Funny, smart, attractive. I will admit, I definitely thought that was included, so I probably should have that. Same.
Starting point is 00:26:25 I do, too. But you're not going to be with somebody. You shouldn't have thought that because I told you what their list was and I listed that as one of their three. So you guys would not make smart on my list. Both of you would not make it. No, because I just said both had attractive or sexually attractive as their list and you guys went, we already thought that was on there.
Starting point is 00:26:44 You can be smart and a bad listener. Would anyone go unattractive as one of their just? kind of like don't care about it if they're attractive. No, but I think that's different. Oh, there's that song, if you want to be happy for the rest of your life, better never make a pretty woman your wife. There's a difference in unattractive, though, and not caring about attraction or caring less. Unattractive means you just want somebody that's really ugly to you.
Starting point is 00:27:07 That doesn't make sense. Right, so you don't want unattractive, but what you could do is say attraction doesn't rank up in my top seven to ten things. Have you heard of people that date people less attracted to them so that they always feel attractive? Yes. well not so they always feel attractive I've heard of people who date less my wife she did she dated way less but I don't think it was to make her feel more attractive well she's attracted to you looks wise
Starting point is 00:27:31 obviously okay yeah I and other things about you I do feel it's interesting that the women said attraction and the guy said sexually attraction which means like for women attracted can mean a bunch of different things like their personality and everything they're attracted to but for men is like Just looks. Do I want to
Starting point is 00:27:51 straight looks? You want to see her across the room and be like, what on? Reproduce. Reproduce. But with women, ours attraction can grow. You guys don't pick attractions.
Starting point is 00:28:00 It doesn't matter. You guys... I know. Like that he said, you guys want unattractions. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying.

In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in someone, correct?
Starting point is 00:30:07 I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Gregalespian and Michael Marincini. My mind was blown.

Starting point is 00:31:01 Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield. And in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ago Wodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry. about you, which is really sweet. He goes, but there's so much luck involved.
Starting point is 00:32:31 And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that.
Starting point is 00:32:53 There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, Lushbox. I got an etiquette question about giving presents back. So it was announced my son's pre-K teachers leaving, taking a new job, moving cities. All right. So all the families get together like, we should get her some gifts. And so they do this, you know, whole thing.
Starting point is 00:33:18 And they give her gifts and the celebration. And then she's not leaving after all. she decided to stay. Oh, that's kind of awkward. Aside from the gift question, that's, huh. Like, after we did this whole, like,
Starting point is 00:33:31 song? Did she get a raise or something? Like, why'd you say? I don't know. I have no idea. She didn't say, she just said, after we had this whole song and dance
Starting point is 00:33:39 where we show up at the classroom, we mean appreciation? More than song and dance, do you mean you had an appreciation? Yeah, yeah, but we had like a cake and said goodbye and all this. And then the next week she announces, ha, you know,
Starting point is 00:33:51 I've had to change your heart and I'm going to stay. Any chance that. The outpouring of emotion during that appreciation ceremony is what kept her, going, man, maybe I don't want to leave. Potentially. Really, like, care about what I do and how I do it. Well, maybe. Okay, so your question is, does she need to give the presents back? Did you give her a present?
Starting point is 00:34:08 Yeah, we, like all contributed and bought her, like, you know, a little this, like some gift cards to hear. And it's like, I don't know exactly what the gifts were, but, you know, you contributed and they all had an idea, like, we'll get her one of these and one of this. And it's like, well, she didn't go anywhere now. So she's got presents for nothing. What do you want to happen? I would like the presents back. How, if there are gift cards, do you get them back? So she just gave her own money for what was given to her?
Starting point is 00:34:35 I believe so. Yeah, talk it out how you think it should happen. I would believe she would add up all the amount of gifts and gift cards and then just give it back and then we distributed amongst the parents how much we each contributed. I've never heard of this. Maybe she doesn't have that cash, though. It's different to have cash to give back versus the gift card. Okay, give me the gift card back. Give you the gift cards.
Starting point is 00:34:54 I'll give this parent $30, this parent, $30. Because it's just crazy. It's like, it's a false like, hey, let me fake like I'm leaving so I can get some presents and then got you guys. Do you think that's what she did? Do you think she purposefully fake, as you said, fake like she was leaving to get presents? I don't think she did it on purpose. But now other people are going to see that and be like, hey, I can do the same thing.
Starting point is 00:35:17 I think it's interesting. We're going to start a trend. If you get somebody like a wedding gift and they end up not getting married. Yeah, got to give it back. Yeah, yeah. Right. So I think that this is, it exists. This is very specific.
Starting point is 00:35:28 So you, do you want to be the one to reach out to her to say, would you get? Because someone's going to need to probably. Well, I wouldn't be the one because I'm not the one at front of this whole organization. Like I didn't get everybody together and do the hoopla. Like another parent led the charge. So I'm looking at that other parent going, hey, when are you going to ask for the money back? So would you ask for the present? Would you ask that parent?
Starting point is 00:35:49 I could. Okay. Like, hey, like, you're going to ask them for the gifts back? Because you feel, I just want to get your feelings before I give mine, you feel like you deserve to have your money back. Yeah. I was doing it as a goodbye present. So she must leave now. If she's going to leave, all right, cool.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Here's this to help you on your way. Could lunchbox do like a show of hands with all the parents and be like, should we get our money back? Get a vote? We could do a vote. Yeah, is there like a group text. It is. There is a group text. This is a democracy.
Starting point is 00:36:19 It is not. That version, that's not a democracy, specifically. So it's odd and it's a bit awkward for her. But I would think if she doesn't voluntarily say, hey, I'm going to give all this back, that it's now turned from a goodbye gift to an appreciation gift. Right. That's what I would, because she's like watching kids. You probably get people appreciation gifts anyway, teachers.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Maybe not 30 bucks worth, but I'm sure you get them a little something, right? Yeah, sometimes. Every once in a while. Did you get her that plus the gift? Yeah, they had a teacher appreciations. A negotiation week a different week. And did you get her again? Yes.
Starting point is 00:36:54 I sure. Yeah, gift card. You think he's lying? Yeah, well, I don't know. I just said, no, no, no. I just want to follow him. Go ahead, Amy.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Oh, well, I guess I'm just curious how many families are involved or maybe like that. So, okay, if there's 14. So did each of you contribute $10? No. 30. He said 30. 30. Oh, do you said 30?
Starting point is 00:37:13 Okay, sorry. I missed that. So total amount. Add that up. Yeah, as I'm saying. So 14 times 30 is 500 bucks. Okay. Say it's 500.
Starting point is 00:37:21 bucks. I just made that up in my head. And you won it back. I mean, that's a lot of money. It's a lot of money. But it is altogether, but 30 bucks each, is it worth the awkwardness? Right. And is it worth making her go and track it all down? Can it not just be an appreciation of $30? But does she, does she feel awkward now? I don't know her. She might. Yes, I would say probably about the gifts. Once I was leaving school, I was leaving like Hamilton and I was moving up to Mountain Bine. And it was like my last day. And so I went and and everybody's like, oh, we're sad. And I don't know if it was gifts, they had cupcakes and stuff. and then I ended up coming back the next Monday
Starting point is 00:37:52 and it's so awkward because we weren't able to move for another month. We thought we were able to move and weren't able to move. And so it was so awkward. I was like, I'm back. Did you give them back the cupcakes? Couldn't. Now that I couldn't give back. But that's awkward feeling. So I bet she kind of feels awkward, but it probably also influenced her decision to stay. And if you loved her as a teacher, that's probably just you guys
Starting point is 00:38:10 like all that effort went into affecting how she handles her career and where she wants to be, which is a benefit to you. So back in like what was it? 2008 you threw me a big going away party because I was leaving the show. She never left.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Still waiting on those presents. Then I never left. And I feel like lunchbox came on the air and said this the sort of exact same thing. I'm like, we threw Amy this going away party. But really I was leaving. I was. What did you all do? You don't have to defend yourself.
Starting point is 00:38:38 We had a big party, big dinner. But did she return the gifts? I didn't get her gift. Yeah, but this you did. Yeah. Okay. So then this is what I would suggest for you. So you have whatever closure you need.
Starting point is 00:38:48 I would message the leader. Okay. And ask how they feel about it. Okay. And just get an answer and let us know tomorrow the next day. Okay. But my feeling would be it has turned from a, we appreciate you so much, we're sad to see you go gift to it. We appreciate you so much.
Starting point is 00:39:05 We're so happy you change your mind and your staying gift. Okay. Even though the cake said good luck and. Well, the cake doesn't matter. You're not getting the cake back. The cake is gone. That's not even a factor here. It just didn't work out.
Starting point is 00:39:16 It did. Yeah. It's awkward. But you're going to on my side. No, because I would not want it back. You wouldn't be upset though? No. If it's somebody who's great, if you really appreciated, $30.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Okay. The only way you can be upset is if she orchestrated this whole thing as a lie to get something and then tricked everybody. It's honey, honeysuckle vinegar, whatever that's called. Apple cider vinegar. There you go. Or she faked having cancer. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:39:44 That's how you get mad. So just let us know in the next couple days. But you reach out to the leader and let the leader give you input. All right. You can influence the leader. I'll just say, hey, do you think we should ask? Or how are you feeling about them staying and? How are you feeling?
Starting point is 00:39:58 Yeah, that's the way to do it. Okay. They say screaming can be cathartic. It can relieve stress, relax muscle tension, and increase your energy. Now, I'm not a screamer. Amy has been seen in her car screaming. Yeah, I've been a self-proclaimed screamer. And what is that?
Starting point is 00:40:16 What does it do for you? It's a release for me. I mean, sometimes you just, yes, I've gone into my car and I just scream. You just let it out. Do you go with the, uh, are there? Ah, uh, I dabble in both, actually. It's just like whatever needs come out. It could be high-pitched, could be more like a lion roar.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Okay. So purposefully, sometimes you'll chase the roar. Yeah, I may chase the roar. There's something called the Power Shout that's been invented. And their product from Power Shout is Shoutlet. this different version. It's a portable voice suppression device. So it's a small pillow basically made from high density foam to give everyone an outlet. They can scream their face off, but sometimes you really can't get anywhere that if you scream, people won't pay attention
Starting point is 00:41:01 or be like, what's wrong? Right. You're right, thinking that you're in danger. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it looks kind of like a little notebook-sized thing and you put it over your face. And apparently it's so thick and so dense. You can just let it rip, right? screaming for me, I don't think does anything. One, I'm also, I think it was stressing me out that I'm messing my voice up. That's what I do for a living. Good point. So I kind of worry about that.
Starting point is 00:41:25 But I'm curious what everybody's stress reliever is. Like, what is it? Yours can be screaming. You also walked into your pool fully closed once. That was more desperate than... Oh, meltdown saver instead of a stress reliever. That was, it reached the end of my rope. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:41:41 What is your stress reliever of choice? That's what we call rock bottom, or close. So, yeah, I've been known to scream, but I have several in my little toolbox. My number one lately is just getting outside and going for a walk, fresh air and breath work. It's huge. And breathwork is that you have a pattern of... Yeah, like I'll go for a walk. Lamaz.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Intentionally, just like the easiest one is four in, hold for four, four out. So you just repeat that over and over. And you feel the release. Or my favorite is tapping into all of my senses. Okay, now you're getting to Hubeo-Jubo. No, that's not Hubeo. No, this is scientifically... Tapping into all my senses, though.
Starting point is 00:42:23 That's so vague. So it's like sight, I see it. Exactly. You're already doing it. Oh, wow. What is something I can see right now? What is something I can feel right now? Taste, here, and smell.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Like, you just go through each of your senses and it calms you down. So what it would be then is it calms you down by taking your mind off whatever is currently not calming you down. Exactly. So those are also techniques. It's grounding. When I try to sleep, that they teach you to do. Right. So it'd be removing whatever's bothering you from, you're thinking about it right there. It immediately brings you into the present moment because you're having to focus on what's around you. What do you do as a stress relief for lunchbox? Oh man, it makes me feel better every time. Make love to my wife. Okay. What the, but you... What if you don't have access to that?
Starting point is 00:43:09 But you can't, you can't determine all the time. Right, but I tell I'm stressed out, honey. I need to make some love. Eddie? Lately it's been a margarita. Oh no. Like I've put up a margaritas in the backyard and just kind of maybe a lot of fire. But that kind of does it, man. Maybe listen to some music. Get away from whatever's messing with me.
Starting point is 00:43:30 Alcohol, though. Yeah, a nice margarita. Yeah. What if you know how margarita would you do like whiskey? Wine's good. Okay, so it is. It's just alcohol. Yeah, I got, I got it.
Starting point is 00:43:39 For me, again, I think it's just remove. I need to refocus on something else. to remove the focus on whatever it is that is bothering me or stressing me out. And the only thing that I have that I really can de-stress is by turning on NCAA football or Madden football on PlayStation. That's it. Because I have to pay attention. Video game.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Yeah. I mean, I have, that's it. And I only play those games. I play 2K basketball sometimes. But I have to pay attention. And that's the only real thing that I have that can pull my focus off whatever. Because I need to keep a score. My point front game, my yards.
Starting point is 00:44:13 That's it. And so you can make. What if you don't have that? Like let's say you're asking. No, but that's it. That's the only way? That is the only way that I have in my life now that I'm confident that if something is really burning me up and I'm triggered by something, I can flip that on and I can remove the trigger
Starting point is 00:44:29 a bit because I now have to focus on something else. Anything else? I've been reading a lot trying to fix like my nighttime anxiety. But again, the reading so much isn't for whatever I'm learning. It's to hopefully make my brain think about what I'm reading instead of what is, happening and bothering me. The same way you're saying the census thing. Yeah, I know, but that's just something you can do anytime.
Starting point is 00:44:50 And make-in-love lunchbox as well. Whoa. Whoa. I just want all of y'all to build up some tools that you can have with you at any time. I feel pretty good about my video game tool. You don't always have that. But my wife is living most of the time. But it's at home and it's wildly available.
Starting point is 00:45:06 He can just buy one, Amy. Wildly. Like, wherever you are. Yeah, sure. I could. Give me to a best buy now. There's nothing else that I can do consistently. that can remove my focus on something that's stressing me out.
Starting point is 00:45:18 And also, lucky you that you have that. A video game? Well, I'm saying that if, you know, anybody challenges how much you're playing, you're like, what, are you talking about this? I'm handling my stress right now. Good point, but sometimes I play a lot. My wife knows it not because I'm stressed. She's like, you're not playing a lot.
Starting point is 00:45:32 You're trying to beat your old record. Or you're playing against your buddies. Yeah, same with the margarita. My wife's like, another one. No, you're stressed out. I feel you. Yeah, yeah. My wife's again.
Starting point is 00:45:40 I'm like, I'm stressed out. Yeah, we're all stressed balls. It's time for the good news. Tell me something good. Last month, Michigan teens suffered a serious heart-related episode during track practice and was then saved by her coaches. So no issues. This happens a lot with high school kids.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Like they have no issues because they've had to not go in to get tested. So a lot of times with us with adults, we've been, you know, for your insurance, you have to go and get a physical. But you're 14 or 15 years old. You don't get that stuff. So she's 14. Her name is Alyssa Atkinson. she had sudden cardiac arrest while just warming up.
Starting point is 00:46:19 So that means she was like on the brink. Oh gosh. So she was assisted by her coaches. They jumped in to CPR using AED. That's the clear. I kept her, I'll say alive. I don't think that's probably the term, but kept her active,
Starting point is 00:46:31 kept her until EMS arrived. And had they not been so quick to see it, I mean, I think it's a good chance I freak out more than help. Yeah. I just point and go, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God. Somebody to do something. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:44 Oh my God, oh, my God. But they did and they jumped in, CPR and used the AED. And her mom's like, hey, had they not done this? She wouldn't be here. So the coaches, big heroes. They don't really talk about the coach's names. I wanted to show. But hey, coach one and coach two.
Starting point is 00:47:01 Good job. Maybe they want to stay anonymous. You know, some people want to do that. They didn't even say they wanted to be anonymous. But the athletic director was in the story. Taking the credit. Well, just saying like it helps save a life. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:12 But when you're at the top, you get credit for the good. stuff, but you also get blamed for the bad. Tell me about it. Mostly I just get the bad. WXYSD with that story. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. I have dandruff pretty bad right now. My hair is longer. And when it gets longer, it gets curlier. So I don't wash it as much because it turns into just a nightmare. So when I don't wash it as much, then it dry, it gets,
Starting point is 00:47:38 because this is a dandruff just like dry flakes? Yeah. Yeah. So now I'm wearing a black shirt. And I know I got dandruff. It looks like a, I dream of a white Christmas. Yeah, so you got to like brush it off? I just have to get a haircut. Well, Dandruff is more than... But I wash my hair and take more care of it when I have shorter hair.
Starting point is 00:47:54 Oh, okay. Because I can't control it when it gets like this. Mm, gotcha. Do you ever use a special shampoo? I... Okay. Truth talk. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:05 I use whatever my wife puts in there. Okay. That's normal for a guy. And sometimes she'll be like, you're flaking a little much here at Christmas. Or she'll call me Bing. Bing Crosby? Yeah, she'll be like, you're flaking a little much there, Bing. And so there's like a cubby hole in our shower,
Starting point is 00:48:20 and she puts the stuff in there that I'm supposed to use. But when it's long, I can't really control it because it gets so wavy and curly. Anyway, that's the Bobby Minute. Thank you all. But having a black shirt, like an idiot. It looks like I've been on a blizzard. I have a lint roller. You want me to come roll it?
Starting point is 00:48:36 It'll pick up all the... It's not limp, though. It's standard. But it'll pick it up. Is it that bad? Like, I don't care that much. It's not that bad. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:42 Amy's like, I brought a vacuum cleaner from home. She's got a truck and steamroller. I'm just saying I got it if you need it. I appreciate that. Let's go over to Amy with the Morning Corny. Investigated. We have 90 seconds to figure out as many as we can. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:48:59 The Morning Corny. What do you call a romance that starts in the aquarium? Fish love. Fishing. Fish. Aquamarine. Fish. Fish.
Starting point is 00:49:12 We read it again, please. What do you call... What do you call... What do you call a romance that starts at the aquarium? Underwater, skydiving, shark. Love... Love bait. Fishing.

Starting point is 00:50:52 He doesn't know guppy loves. Oh, guppies. You know some guppies. To me, guppies are a little fish. A little fish, yeah. Yeah. Oh. I don't even know the real definition of a guppy except we had them on like the aquariums.
Starting point is 00:51:04 Yeah, they're like blackfish, a little fish. It's a real kind of fish, right? Yeah, it's a real fish. Okay. Yeah, this is a little fish. So it's a little fish. Yeah. Like, they call it, like puppy love?
Starting point is 00:51:15 Oh, yeah. Does it play on puppy? Rhympie. Got it. Okay, so that's why I was like, I don't even know what this means. Thank you. All right, that's the morning, corny. What?
Starting point is 00:51:23 We got one. Do you want to go? Yeah. I feel like we had fun, though. It isn't that what it's all about? Yeah. All right, go ahead. Clear eyes, full hearts.
Starting point is 00:51:30 Can't lose. Have we ever gotten zero? Yeah. I feel like we have. I mean, it's been a long time. I have, close it out, Bray. That was the morning. Morning, warning.
Starting point is 00:51:43 So I'll just be honest with you guys. I put an ad up on ZipRecruiter. I'm looking to hire for a new position. Not so much on the show, although they do do stuff with the show. But read my guy's leaving. He's moving. It stinks. But he's moving to St. Louis, of all places.
Starting point is 00:51:57 His wife's about to be a doctor. And so as an intern, they get moved. And so he's going with her. So he's just leaving. So I have to fill like that head digital spot that travels with me. So I put an ad up on ZipRecruiter to fill the spot. And it's up there. And I'd encourage you to go check it out.
Starting point is 00:52:12 out if you think that it could be you. I do use ZipRecruiter. I know we talk about it on the show, but I do use it. I've used it before. According to a recent ZipRecruiter survey, 76% of employers plan to expand their head count this year. One of those being me and the ad is up. Starting point is 00:52:56 the quote. So here's the example. Clear eyes. Full hearts. Let's go. That's Friday lights. Now this one will be a bit different because only two of you are going to get to play. Here's why. A listener had sent, this is a pen here that he had He ordered it as part of the seats from Razorback Football Stadium, and they made it to a really nice pin. Isn't that awesome? Yeah. Very cool. Really cool. So I use that pen all the time.
Starting point is 00:53:20 And so he had sent me another one and said, hey, I didn't know who to send this to either Abby or Lunchbox. And it's to Allen Fieldhouse or at the Jayhawks play. So it's a pin that's part of the original floor. Oh, bull crap. So Abby went to school there and is a massive fan. She's a fan. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:38 And that's what she went. And Lunchbox lived there for a month. But as a fan, right? No, no, hold on. As a baby. Hold on. I lived there for nine months. Oh, sorry, my bad, my bad.
Starting point is 00:53:47 Nine months. Yeah. As an infant. Yes. Yeah. But you're a fan. Yeah. My blood, my DNA goes there.
Starting point is 00:53:54 Yeah, same. Same. I went to every game in college, grew up going to every game. Yeah. So, only you two are going to battle it out in this game. There is no way. Oh, no. There is no way this person wanted Abby to have this.
Starting point is 00:54:05 They literally said they didn't know which to give it to Abby or lunchbox. Oh my gosh. And they listed the reasons. They know that. Abby went to school there and went to every game and that lunchbox has a sweatshirt. Yeah. Yeah. Sweat shirt.
Starting point is 00:54:19 So we're going to do the iconic television show game. Oh, shoot. Now, the wrinkle is it'll be best of three over the next few days. Okay? Ooh. So you two are here playing in game one. Oh, man. The pen's awesome.
Starting point is 00:54:34 Look at this. I need that pin. Can I go look at it? No, not yet. That's the hardwood floor. Yeah, the original. So cool. What a cool idea.
Starting point is 00:54:41 Okay, here we go. name the show write your answer down go I'm gonna play it twice and twice only let me know when you're in I'm in for the win one more time Rayne Lunchbox the Brady Bunch Brady Bunch Okay Abby I'll call on you yeah

Starting point is 00:55:28 I said Friends. Lunchbox? Friends. Correct. That's a tough one. Next up. I'm not superstitious, but I'm a little stetious. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:55:42 I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stetious. I'm in. Yeah, I'm in for the win. Lunchbox? The office. Abby? The office. Correct.
Starting point is 00:55:53 Next. Is that your final answer? I'm in for the win. Is that your final answer? I'm in. It is my final answer. Abby? Answer.
Starting point is 00:56:09 The price is right. Incorrect. Dang it, ding it. Lunchbox? Who wants to be a millionaire? Correct. Only three remain. Oh, I thought that was it.
Starting point is 00:56:19 Well, that would have been four. We never stopped the game ever in history on four. I was hoping. Next up. They got work. What? Here you go. That was the clip?
Starting point is 00:56:30 They got work. You play it again? Twice. We said in the initial rules. Twice. I can read you the quote one time. Yeah, that'd be great. Make it work.
Starting point is 00:56:44 Abby, you need this to get back in. Lunchbox may get it, though. Everybody good? Yeah, I'm in for the win. Lunchbox? Extreme home makeover. That is incorrect. Abby, you can tie the game up.
Starting point is 00:57:01 What do you have? I've. I've got parks and wreck. Incorrect. Wow. Project Runway. Oh. Lunchbox, you love that show.
Starting point is 00:57:09 You watch it all the time. That's the one I watch? Your favorite show. Yeah, I think so. You listen to your favorite show all the time. Play it again one more time. Bigger on the challenge. All right, nobody, nobody can demand Ray to play clips, by the way.
Starting point is 00:57:19 I'm the only one that can demand Ray to play clips. Oh. Okay. All right. Next up, go ahead. Here it is again. I think I'm in. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:57:37 I'm in. I'm in for the win. Lunchbox. Did I do that? Family matters? Abby? Oh, I put the three stooges. The three stooges is correct. Oh my gosh, let's go.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Okay. Wow. Okay. I'm back in. We are now tied. Last one. And go. I am the one who knocks.
Starting point is 00:58:09 This is from a TV show. No, dude, we changed it all up. This one. It's a movie. I am the one who knocks. They're both struggling, looking at their eyes. I am the one who not Need an answer
Starting point is 00:58:26 Everybody in? Sure, why not? Pins down I'm in Abby I said the office Lunchbox The Sopranos
Starting point is 00:58:35 Breaking Bad That's Heisenberg Oh Oh my gosh We're a sudden death now All right So the next three If you miss you're out
Starting point is 00:58:43 Then we'll go to sudden Sudden dead speed around But the next three If you miss it you're out Wait so you just say your name No not yet We're just gonna do normal But if you miss it you're out
Starting point is 00:58:51 If the other person gets it Okay Gotcha got you're right I know. Tensions are high. They are high. Okay. And go. Big bucks.
Starting point is 00:58:57 No whammy. Stop. These bucks. No whammy. Stop. Big bucks. No whammy. Stop.
Starting point is 00:59:09 Abby, look at me. You better get it. You lost. Don't look at him, Abby. Do we already play it twice? Yeah, we did. We won't play it again. But Bobby can say it if you'd like to.
Starting point is 00:59:20 I already said it. Oh. Abby, are you in? I'm in. What do you have, Abby? American Gladiators. Interesting guests. Not right. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:59:30 Abby, you tried it, but you didn't press your luck. That is correct. Press your luck? With the victory today and one out of three. Lunchbox is one step closer winning. My pin? Well, the pin is one step close. The guy loves a pen too.
Starting point is 00:59:50 I'm always making notes. I do little dittle dattles. Two things he loves to do. Be on Facebook chat down in the show and make little dittle dattles. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.

The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story.
Starting point is 01:01:52 This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing.
Starting point is 01:02:15 Greg, a lesbian, Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that, trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man.
Starting point is 01:03:13 A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target.
Starting point is 01:03:31 He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Wodom. My next guest, you know from Stepbrothers,
Starting point is 01:03:52 Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Farrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with him one day. And I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
Starting point is 01:04:16 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you. Which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to thanks dad on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Play that voice now, Ray. Good morning studio. I need some advice from Amy.
Starting point is 01:05:00 I am in the middle of getting a divorce and having to do things on my own for the first time in a very long time. I was listening to the podcast and Amy's doing her garden and she's doing, you know, the year of new things. And I'm just, I guess, starting that. And it's scary. I don't know how to do a lot of things. and I have two kids, two and four that depend on me. I just, I guess, need some encouragement, some advice, help. Amy?
Starting point is 01:05:32 I think the first thing that you're doing is you're asking for advice and help, and that's one of the best things you can do for yourself in this season, is who can you reach out to that can help you as you try to take on things maybe you've never done before? Like a lot of stuff was new to me and was very overwhelming because I had a partner for 17 years. of which there were things he literally handled. And then all of a sudden, I as a woman in my 40s felt ridiculous having to learn.
Starting point is 01:05:59 But you just have to humble yourself and take it one day at a time, one act at a time, one, you know, project at a time, whatever it is, I don't know what all you have going on. But you can't look at the big picture. It's sort of like the saying of like, how do you eat an elephant? It's one bite at a time. Because if you start to look at it, it's going to be way too big and overwhelming and you're going to just like crawl into your bed. but you can't do that. You have kids and you've got to show up for them and for yourself. And then a few months are going to go by and you're going to look back at all that you did
Starting point is 01:06:28 and you're going to feel so empowered and proud of yourself. That's good. All right. Next up, Ray. I'm a podcast listener and I'm listening to an episode from Thursday, January night. Part 1, Minute 40. Bobby challenges lunchbox to practice and seeing yesterday by the Beatles. Bobby gives him the whole year to practice. And if lunchbox nails it by the end of the year, Bobby will give him $200. So I just wanted to give lunchbox a reminder.
Starting point is 01:06:54 I don't want him to miss out on free money. Also, we need an update on Bobby's scratch off. Thank you for asking. Lunchbox, remember that? I don't know. Been practicing? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:07:06 My scratch house, I've lost a lot. I was up here scratching yesterday and I was like, Eddie, I've lost like the last six. Yeah, they weren't happy. Yeah, my resolution is to hit one for $1,000 before the end of the year. I have nothing to report. I'm down like $400 bucks right now at this point. So no news is bad news is what I like to say about this. So there's been no news except I've been losing like crazy.
Starting point is 01:07:26 Give me one more, Ray. Why does Eddie get so much hate? He is the most positive. He's always laughing. He's the employee of the quarter and Amy's got to throw shade. Lunchbox we're used to. Lunchbox, that's just who he is. He's the shade thrower.
Starting point is 01:07:41 But gee, Amy like hates Eddie now is what it comes across that. She's always on Eddie. Eddie sucks. Eddie sucks. Eddie sucks. No, Eddie is the best. Eddie's got the greatest personality, and he's always bringing such a positive vibe. I don't know how anyone can be so against Eddie all the time.
Starting point is 01:07:56 First of all, Eddie, your response? I love this caller. I mean, amen to all that. Amy, any response? I just feel like that was quite the exaggeration. I don't think I ever said Eddie sucks. Eddie sucks. I don't.
Starting point is 01:08:07 And also, employee of the quarter, we all get onto each other. And I think Eddie, like, when you read off what he did, it was like, we took a poll and Eddie had the most zingers or something. And I was like, oh, are you shading? Yeah, she's shading right now. She's not going to shade mode. Yeah, I can't remember what the other things were. He had a broken arm.
Starting point is 01:08:25 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. What a great deal. He broke his arm. So he's what he's talking about. Just saying, guys, that he sucks. That he sucks.
Starting point is 01:08:32 I did it. I don't sing that though. Yeah, they are. He helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars from St. Jude during our shit. There's a lot. Stop. Eddie sucks. Sid it.
Starting point is 01:08:41 Eddie came up with that idea? Nobody did it. So what? But a lot of the ideas that happen on the show people get credit for it. come up with the ideas. Somebody else does and then somebody does a bit. You could do that whole thing without him. No, I couldn't. Why y'all hate you, man? Eddie sucks. Eddie
Starting point is 01:08:55 He's crazy, dude. Eddie's the he can really sing. What? Hey, he's the, oh my gosh. Why would you take a shot at me? Amy, Amy, Amy. Hey, Ray, Peter. Peter. Wake up, you wake up in the morning
Starting point is 01:09:14 and then you turn the radio on and a doubt. Just keeps on turn Dend here Eddie and me Lunchbox, more game two School of Steve Red Havits trying to put you through
Starting point is 01:09:26 Back is writing this week's next bit And Bobby's on the box So you know what this is This is the Bobby Vaugham Stone Lunchbox do you know why You're being punished Yeah because I had the guts to take You know a challenge and play a game
Starting point is 01:09:47 and entertain the masses of Americans that listen to this show. Yeah. It was your choice. Yeah. He said, hey, I'd like to do this. And if I lose, I will take the will of punishment. It was not us.
Starting point is 01:09:58 It was him. He lost the game we played. So on the will of punishment, which I will spin here, that's what it sounds like, there are things like spray tan, where he has to get four in a row. Love it. In the same four.
Starting point is 01:10:12 Session. Yeah. So he'll be dark for a long time. Another one is truck nuts. Those things that they hang off the back of those trucks and they're disgusting. He has to wear him on his neck for a whole week on the show. Okay. Another one is the puzzle in the dark.
Starting point is 01:10:26 We do like a 50 piece puzzle. He's in the dark. He's got to put it together. And if he doesn't do it in the time allotted, he has to wear truck nuts everywhere for a week, even outside the studio. Now, I being the charitable person that I am, fought for him to have some free spaces on the wheel so that there was a chance he'd have no punishment because I thought, man, he's really performed well over the past week. That's so nice of you. More than a week.
Starting point is 01:10:50 Why don't you just let me be your friend here? I'm just saying. Yeah. So there are one, two, three free spots on the wheel. And if he hits that, you can promote the YouTube page to make some money if you want. That's a great idea. Go to Bobby Bones. No, not yet.
Starting point is 01:11:04 Not yet. It's if you win. Oh. Everybody ready to go? Yeah. Do you want to do a test spin? No. Because we can do one practice.
Starting point is 01:11:12 Let's do one practice. No. If it lays on free, it's going to be. One practice spin. It won't ruin it. This one is not official. It does take away his free spin. No, it doesn't.
Starting point is 01:11:21 It doesn't. You want to bet if it lands on free, then the odds of it land on free again go way down. But if it lands on truck nuts. That's better. Right. So let's just do one to see. I got to get loose anyway because I want to get it a good spin. This is not the official spin.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Let's spin that wheel. Of course. It would have landed on. Puzzle on the dark with truck nuts for a week. All right. Now, do you feel better that it didn't land? on free? Yeah, a little bit better.
Starting point is 01:11:47 Even though one has nothing to do with the other? It absolutely does. Take a deep breath. Lunchbox, which one do you want? Other than a free? He was free. Yeah, anyway, I mean, what a stupid question? I'll take the free that's in yellow.
Starting point is 01:12:03 Oh, so you're going specific free. Okay. Here we go. This is the one that counts. Oh my gosh. Unless you want another practice. No. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:11 I don't want to practice. If halfway through, like it's like roulette. Oh, if I see it, I don't like it? If I see it, I don't like it. practice we'll turn it into practice okay but once I wave my hand you can't say it okay ready all right let's spin that weird
Starting point is 01:12:24 it's looking good I mean you were you're even close to free yeah not even close at a lot yeah so you wave the hand too quick no no I was about to yell practice probably next week he'll have to wear the truck nuts love it you'll see it heavy the truck nuts uh I depends how big old boy you are
Starting point is 01:12:50 you know I mean well on trucks they look heavy because they're like you know they're part of like the We have to order them. So I don't know what they weigh. Maybe they make rubber ones or something. Ugh. I'm just picturing him like having to have this big piece of metal around his name.
Starting point is 01:13:05 No, no, they're like rubber. I think it's funnier if they're like skin color of rubber. Honestly, if we can find those, because I know we're going to order them now. The rubbery skin colored ones are much funnier than the ones I think of. Flesh tone? Oh, yes, they do. They have a little. Some of those are like real deep.
Starting point is 01:13:25 detailed too, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The more vascular, the better. Oh, my gosh. So, okay. I'll tell you what, lunchbox. Oh, Amy, I don't even, oh, they're pink. Amy, those are gross.
Starting point is 01:13:35 This is on Amazon. These are pink. You can get different colors. Pink, red, blue? Different color every day. He has blue ones. That's funny. I mean, we should, we should order the pink flesh colored ones and then some blue ones, too.
Starting point is 01:13:48 Okay. You don't want to ask him which ones he wants? No, because there's options to, like, purple, which don't even look. It just looks like a rocket chip. Okay. Okay, so there's that, but I will allow you double or nothing. Oh, dude, you can land on free. Double or nothing.
Starting point is 01:14:06 Meaning if you land on free, it's back to even, and there's one more spend for it all. So free does not clear you, but free gets you back to even. No, because then I'd have to hit free, two out of three. That's possible. Yeah, the odds are not good. All right. Yeah, odds are not good. I don't like that.
Starting point is 01:14:23 Nothing for you, and it would have been free. Oh, my God. That's free. And it would have landed on free. The world hates me. The world absolutely hates me. Wait, does he still have a chance? Nope.
Starting point is 01:14:33 Oh. He's out. No, no, spin it again. See what would have happened? No. But you'd be free. No, we're good. No, because you said I'd have to go one more spin.
Starting point is 01:14:41 I can either spin it or you can use this 30 seconds to promote the YouTube page for money. You get to pick. Because this segment will be on YouTube. Oh, I'll spin it again since Eddie was such a jerk and didn't want to give me free spaces. Why am I going to help him right now? You know you might. What's your money? I understand that, too.
Starting point is 01:14:56 It's a hundred bucks. I understand. What do you want to do? Huh? You can go to the subscriber page, but, man. How about why you spend it? I'll promote it. You can't hear it.
Starting point is 01:15:06 You never know. I can talk louder than that spinner. Now we're good. Okay. Go to the YouTube page. Look, I got 30 seconds. You got to go to Bobby Bone Show YouTube page and subscribe. We need to get 5,000 more subscribers by Friday.
Starting point is 01:15:18 Guys, are you guys going to help me or am I going to do all the work? This is your punishment deal, dude. But they want to know why. Well, you guys also get the money. Oh, my God. Yeah. But we don't know why. split him with this.
Starting point is 01:15:28 Because he's the only I don't know. I don't want to hear him cry about it. If we had 300,000 by Friday, you guys will get... 100 bucks each. If you don't want to see us get 100 bucks, I mean, who doesn't want to see us get $100?
Starting point is 01:15:40 Maybe we'll give it to you. You never know. You know if you win, you ain't giving crap. You don't know that. You have no idea. Bobby Bone Show on Instagram. Thank you. Or Twitter.
Starting point is 01:15:49 YouTube. See, out of spray tanned. See? Told you if I'm going to hit a two out of three. He told us. Dang. Call us if you. You want 87777-B-O-B-B-U-I and go subscribe to our YouTube page if you want
Starting point is 01:16:05 lunchbox to have more money. Yeah, please. Well, it is also for Eddie and I, so really do it for Eddie and I. Yeah. Well, it depends who you like. Yeah, probably like that. They may unsubscribe to keep lunchbox from having money. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:16:16 Okay, back in a second. This is a weird one. Nearly 200 cattle have mysteriously disappeared in Western Colorado. Think about that 200. It's a lot. Not too. It's not, what are you going to bring in? 100 trucks?
Starting point is 01:16:33 Yeah. Not less than that. So 50 trucks? The first report of missing cattle was filed just before Thanksgiving with reports from multiple ranchers, including Kelly Birch, who noted 43 animals missing from her herd. In total, 187 cows and calves have vanished. The missing cattle prompted an unprecedented investigation and the local sheriff's task force search planes. thousands of dollars rewards they don't know so at first people were like maybe it's like insurance fraud when it was a lower number of cows now i'm leaning toward aliens oh like they abducted
Starting point is 01:17:09 them 200 yeah that's so many that's so many regardless of what like that size of things that's hard it's not 200 pencils mm-hmm 200 cows and i feel like the aliens would probably want to you know eat that's what i think oh eat i thought like experiment with the cows oh what is they wanted to go burger. Any ideas, any other theories? Because again, they rolled out insurance fraud because it's just too massive of an undertaking to get away with all that without someone seeing it be gotten away with. That makes sense. So when you first said the headline, I thought, okay, 200 cattle like, you know, went on a journey together somewhere. But this is over time and it's from different people's properties. All over western Colorado. Okay. So, yeah, maybe someone's like slowly picking them out.
Starting point is 01:17:56 taken on and hoping like... But none of them are one at a time. Well, okay, 40. There's a one that was... How do you get out of there with 40 cows? In the middle of the night, you pull up with a cattle truck. Maybe the cows are in cahoots. It's a process, though.
Starting point is 01:18:09 They can be friends and they're on a mission. There's no mission. You have to wrangle them up. It's a lot of work to get cows in the truck. It's something big... I bet it's something government or something aliens. Whoa. And that's not even my craziest theories.
Starting point is 01:18:22 What would the government thing be? Aliens, feed them to the aliens. Cold shopping. This is from Oxford University. Even though the weather's getting warmer, you still bring a sweater with you to go shopping because what stores do, they keep thermostats low because chilly temperatures make shoppers more likely to choose products based on emotions like snacks and send candles as a way to cope with the cold. There you go. That's why it's cold in there. Walmart shoppers arrested over the trash can trick.
Starting point is 01:18:51 And lunchbox, you're familiar with the trash can trick? Yeah, it's easy. All you do is you get a trash can or like a hamper or something. fill it with stuff and then you just scan the hamper of the trash can you think you're getting away with it sometimes you get busted oh you put it in it yeah isn't it heavy though but you're in the self-checkout you're in the self-checkout and you just scan the little doop got it used the little gun even or even if you go through the regular checkout most cashiers are lazy and they don't look inside and you just scan it not that I know anything about that well when I worked a hobby lobby if there was a
Starting point is 01:19:21 heavy thing on the bottom you just said what is it and you typed in the code because you didn't it was too big to bring up so they could easily put stuff in it or underneath it. Yeah. Who knows how many times I got, I didn't care. But who knows how many times I got got? Yeah, every times I got got. A Walmart shopper has been caught after stealing more than $20,000 doing this. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:19:41 40. They call him Speedy Gonzalez. No, that's his name. There's no way he's name is Speedy, though, right? His name is so funny. His mom didn't name him that. But that's what, literally it says Speedy Gonzalez. It is.
Starting point is 01:19:52 That's why it's so funny. Speedy Gonzalez 40. It's caught on surveillance footage, stuffing, an empty trash can full of all kinds of stuff. And then just scanning the trash can at the self-checkout. Gonzalez. Speedy. Allegedly stole from stores more than 20 times before being caught. That's from Fox 5 Atlanta.
Starting point is 01:20:12 It's one of those two where you're like, hey, why do you keep doing it? Because eventually you're going to get caught. However, I'm assuming he's not doing it pushing the limits. He's doing it just to continue the money flow. Right. I think there's a difference. And Robin Banks. shoplifting from Walmart.
Starting point is 01:20:28 It's a business. Yeah, he put high priced items in the cans and then waited for 10 days and then would return them. And that's also trouble too. And you gotta go back to the scene of the crime. That's where you get busted is returning them. Speedy. Speedy. You have to sell them
Starting point is 01:20:44 somewhere else. Yeah, go on Facebook marketplace. Yeah, eBay. They say chew on this from study finds. Scientists create a gum that traps herpes and flu viruses. Oh. This is crazy. Crazy. The battle against common viral infections might soon include an unexpected weapon chewing gum. Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania have created a specialized gum that could trap
Starting point is 01:21:03 and neutralize herpes and influenza viruses before they spread or cause infection. So gum, which is like why are they even using gum, the mouth transmits super efficiently to the rest of the body. So first of all, they've got to find something to put in the mouth. And then it's a plant-based chewing gum from something called Lab Lab beans. it's an antiviral protein in the gum that ends up identifying the virus. It's crazy, though, that they can, like, keep it from spreading. And I guess what the point is, do you chew it?
Starting point is 01:21:36 I was reading about this. Is it from spreading to other people? Or, like, because it's in you. Yeah, it's kind of, like, chew it and trap it somehow. Because then if you swallow, don't you, like. Yeah, but you won't swallow. Who falls gum? No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:21:47 If you swallow the saliva with the gum. It's got to be, like, a spread to other people then. Oh, I was thinking it was like, you, you, you. you have a night with a chick and you're like, oh no, and the next morning you reach your nightstand and put the gum in so that way you don't get the... Like a plan gum? Yeah, yes, instead of plan B. Yeah, no, yes, that was exactly.
Starting point is 01:22:03 Yeah. And I was going there, but I didn't know if I could make the... Yeah, yeah. Regardless of what level that's on, that's actually pretty cool, that there's something now that can trap and neutralize viruses in the body before it spreads or causes infection. That's got to be what it is. Lunchbox is just to chew it every day before he comes in.
Starting point is 01:22:21 Just in case. Not even just in case, dude, he's got something different every day. No, I'm good now. I'm back. Monday, Tuesday, yeast infection. Wednesday, Thursday. American found dead beaten on a Bahamas beach after just going for a walk near the resort. An American man was found beaten to death on the shore of an island.
Starting point is 01:22:40 Right next to a resort in the Bahamas, just hours after his family arrived in the country, the victim's family told Newsout at Fox 5D.C. Their 23-year-old son went missing after taking a walk during dinner to explore the Atlantis Resort. what the family was staying in. So this, he left, like, left, right? And that's where, if you go anywhere, me, I don't go,
Starting point is 01:23:00 if we leave and we're at some resort like that. I've been to Atlanta, it's awesome. I didn't go outside that thing. You stay in there. Yeah. That's Harold. Yeah. The family started searching the resort by all the missing person report.
Starting point is 01:23:12 So I wonder if he's walking around, because it was late at night, because they end up calling the police at 1 a.m. I wonder walking around somebody like tries to rob him. Got no fight, maybe. Or walking around, like, maybe he's looking for something. Ugh. And it turns bad. I mean, they had just gotten there.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Just got there. That's from local 12. Yeah, that's pretty great. So if you go to one of these resorts in a foreign country, I would suggest you stay. Because I get scared if I don't know. Stay in the walls. Especially at night. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:39 Like Mexico? Oh, yeah. Yep. I never been to like one of those Mexico resorts where it's about, you know. Supposed to be safe. I would never. I think as soon as I walked out, I would get beheaded. I think even the people.
Starting point is 01:23:51 people that live there say that. Don't leave this resort. Oh, so my cousin's moving to Mexico. Which one? My psychic cousin. She's moving to Mexico. But she says like she sees good things there. Yeah, she knows. But I am worried for her safety.
Starting point is 01:24:04 I wonder though, and this is a quick version of my brain, because we're talking about Mexico and we go, oh man, corruption, cartels, chop your head off. Every other country has about the guns that we have and the crime that we have in our gun rates and school shootings constantly, like every day. And they've got to be over there doing their version of. this show going, I'd never go to America. All they do is you go to school there, you get shot every day. Yeah. Because
Starting point is 01:24:26 there's probably a real strong parallel between what I'm doing to Mexico right now and what everybody else does to us. Right. They're probably like, okay, if we visit America, don't go to a mall or schools. Yeah, or outside. Anywhere. Okay, that's the news.
Starting point is 01:24:42 Those were Bobby's big. Stories. Bobby Bones show. Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes us from Clearwater, Florida. A 45-year-old man was going
Starting point is 01:24:55 through a neighborhood when he saw a kid doing a lemonade stand. He's like, oh, let me some lemonade. Went up, bought a cup of lemonade, paid the $3 and he said, mm-mm-mm-mm-no. He chuddy. He goes, refill, please. Like, you know it's going to be more money. He goes, no, no, no. I want a free refill.
Starting point is 01:25:12 And the lady, the mom, was like, sir, you know what I mean? We're trying to make money. The kids, it's $3 a refill. And he grabbed the woman by the arm and said, I'm going to get a free refill, or Give him a refill. Just give him a refill. Just give him a refill.
Starting point is 01:25:26 Do they call the cops? They called the cops and he was arrested. Yeah, it's not unlimited refills for charity. I think that's kind of the rule there. That's why they're doing it. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. Study show Spoilers Don't Spoil.
Starting point is 01:25:40 Now this is an article. This is bull crap, but I'll read you some of it. Spoilers don't actually spoil anything. It turns out knowing the ending doesn't ruin a book, a movie or television show. Yeah, right. So I would have told me the ending to White Lotus. I'd have been so mad. And I would say the one thing our culture does pretty well is not spoil things.
Starting point is 01:25:57 You can pretty much go, unless it's an event, you can pretty much go on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and they'll go like, don't go to the second slide if you want a spoiler. Don't. Like our culture kind of, social media kind of is positive about that. Like, they don't spoil stuff. But I think you can spoil things by just giving a feeling you had at the end of a show. or when some of you guys will go, I didn't expect that twist. Eddie?
Starting point is 01:26:24 Eddie does it. And that's like, now I've got to watch for a twist. I did that a couple times. Or Amy, when she literally gives way the ending of the Avengers when it's in theaters.
Starting point is 01:26:32 Like literally, like that's... That was unfortunate. Yeah. So I do... I think we should celebrate the fact that this show in our culture has done a pretty good job and not spoiling.
Starting point is 01:26:43 Did you watch White Lotus finale ever? I did. Yeah. What did you think of the whole season? Thought it was good. Yeah. I thought it was good too. She's so scared to say anything.
Starting point is 01:26:51 But I'm glad. She knows her limitation. But you can't say I didn't like it? You can say that. And most people have said they didn't like it. I think the general consensus in season three was it was slow. I think I watched it different because I'd never seen it before until like two months ago. And I watched one, then two, and then I binged three hard so I could catch up with my wife to watch.
Starting point is 01:27:10 So it wasn't that slow to me because I went episode to episode. I thought season three was the best of all the seasons, which is a very, very unpopular opinion amongst White Lotus super fans. But I thought it was the best because it didn't feel as gross. There were some gross parts to me. But the people weren't as gross. All the characters I felt like were redeemable. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:29 For the most part. Yeah. Finalee, I watched it. You watched it? I did. Eddie watched it? You watched it? No.
Starting point is 01:27:35 Do you watch the show? Yeah. Okay. We're not going to say anything. But how many do you have left? The whole season. Oh, okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:41 Yeah, I haven't started it. It's the season with the most episodes. Maybe people think that's why it's the slowest. Oh, is it? Season 1, 6, season 2, 7 episodes. Oh. Yeah. Okay, well, good job everybody, not spoiling stuff.
Starting point is 01:27:52 Yeah. Parentheses, except for Amy. But you're getting better. Not this time. But you are getting better. And we'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye everybody. The Bobby Bones show theme song, written, produced, and sang by Reed Yarberry.
