Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an IHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. My name is Jeff Klomps. I'm an Ontario grain farmer. The pride for me is knowing that I'm producing a sustainable product that we can grow every year and help ensure the Ontario families get the best possible products that they can on the grocery store shelves.
Starting point is 00:00:20 How do you know that Claude won't become manipulative? This is a constant worry. And you can actually catch the model thinking, I think X is actually true, but I'm going to tell the user why. I'm Walter Isaacson. On my new podcast, The Builders, I'm going inside the minds of the people shaping our future. Listen to The Builders, starting October 13 on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Hamza, and I'm Martin.
Starting point is 00:00:51 And we're the host of Out of Character. The funniest podcast in an entire world. Rara, Latin. The Russian Queen. I like that. It's a good way to promote ourselves. We are two funny guys having fun enjoying ourselves, and we just know how to have fun, unlike anyone else.
Starting point is 00:01:06 If you guys like fun conversations, hot takes, what else? Not too hot, just kind of lukewarm. Just to get your mind thinking a little bit. Listen out of character on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. It's all just a joke. What is the value of these women? I'm Bridget Armstrong. Back with Season 2 of the podcast, Curse of Miss America.
Starting point is 00:01:28 We're talking to participants, Whistleblers. lowers, and people who say Miss America didn't live up to their promises. He looks at me and goes, you don't look like you suffered an eating disorder. I never received scholarship money to pay for my student loans. Maybe this is the meta question for the podcast. What is Miss America at this point? Listen to the curse of Miss America on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. You broke me.
Starting point is 00:01:56 You do not desert happiness. I'm Andre Gunning. On this season of betrayal, Carl thought he was living a normal. normal drama-free life until the messages started. Someone's not going to make it out of this alive. Every piece of evidence pointed to the wrong guy. He was not going to stop unless we stopped him. Listen to Betrayal Season 6 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Wake up, you wake up in the morning. Then you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on. So, welcome to Welcome to Thursdays show. Morning's studio. Mike is writing this week's next bit. Now Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is the Bobby Bond store. Welcome to Thursday's show.
Starting point is 00:03:07 Morning studio. So I read the story about the military saying we got a plan for 90 days. So we need to be able to have these bases where we don't need outside food or energy or water. And then other countries are doing the same thing. And so me, I'm going, well, something's about to happen. Yeah, take note. Yeah, and then I'm now seeing other stories. So yesterday I bought on my prepper food.
Starting point is 00:03:33 Like, from the grocery store or a prepper site? Grocer store. Here's what I got. 16 boxes of crackers. Wow, okay. I did eight saltines, eight writs, though. Oh, yeah, I was wondering which comes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:46 You got a treat yourself. Yeah, yeah. I guess the end of times. You should go writs all the way. I don't think it's going to be into times. I think it could. Also, we had a massive ice storm last year that shut everything down. Like winter's coming.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Yeah, you'll be prepared. So I have six boxes of bars, like protein bars. Okay. I got 15 cans of ready to eat beans or chili. Nice. I got 20 pouches of tuna. Oh, wow. And 10 cans of tuna.
Starting point is 00:04:16 What? No, he's saying, ugh, but like that's survival. Oh, yeah, I'm not trying to have Thanksgiving dinner here with all my favorites. I'm getting stuffed at last. Yeah. I got five pounds of nuts. Wow. Is it assorted nuts?
Starting point is 00:04:27 Yeah, roasted or? Yeah, nuts. Just all kinds. I just got the shoveled. I got the nuts from down here below our radio station. Oh. We have whole foods down there. Yeah, it's good stuff.
Starting point is 00:04:37 And I got four pounds of dried fruit. Okay. And then I got a container that we have at the house from container store. And I put all of that in that container. So if it's into times or if it's 90 days or 30 days, I'm at least going to somewhat be ready. I think the next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to buy a small freezer and put meat in it. There we go. Smart.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Do not come to my house. Did you get your water? I didn't hear water. Yeah, I didn't hear water. I don't have it yet. But we have a ton of water at the house. But it's not even water. We have filters.
Starting point is 00:05:08 What if like the water, though? Who knows? I'll be peeing in a filter. You have filters like where you can get stream water and put it in a filter and it cleans it up? We have filters. That's like that. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:17 So I don't want me to freak out. But there are a lot of these stories now. And even if. something doesn't happen. A dirty bomb or just we had a really bad winter last year where power was out for two, three weeks. So I use this as a reason to get re-prepared. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Don't call me a prepper. I've just done a little preparing. Does this motivate you? Yes, 100%. I'm motivated. Does your algorithm have the stories of people freaking out? It doesn't. So I'm glad that yours does.
Starting point is 00:05:48 You know me. My algorithm's weird. Right. You're letting me know what I need to do. and I've got to get some inventory. So it seems like I've got some shopping to do. I mean, when I go to Twitter and I don't recommend anybody going to Twitter
Starting point is 00:06:02 for any reason whatsoever, it's over and over again that the world is ending. Okay. That's not good. But also it's Twitter. But I'll be ready. Don't come from my tuna.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Your box sounds good. Protein bars. Here's the thing. When I go to the movies, I always eat everything before the movie starts. You're going to lock it up. You have to put it away. Well, I put it in a different building.
Starting point is 00:06:26 But you know one night my wife's going to be like, where's Bobby? I'm down there. Knuckles deep and ritz crackers and tuna that don't even need to eat it. I'm just going to be hungry in the middle of the night and that's going to be it. So that's where I am. I told you I was going to do it. So I did it. So Abby, a question for you.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Abby sings and plays music. And at one point she wanted to be a singer and then she started playing like little bars and stuff here in town. And Abby, I know. that you want to come on the cruise and open for Eddie and I? Yeah. Yes? Oh my God. So we're doing this cruise in March and you, the listener, we'd love for you to come with us.
Starting point is 00:07:02 It's Top Shelf Country Cruise. Our whole show is going and Eddie and I, we have a comedy duo called The Raging Idiots. We're going to play a couple of shows. Abby wants to open. And I think that's great. However, Abby, your audition to open for us is going to be we need you to write an original song and perform it on the show. It is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Can someone play guitar for me? No, no. Yeah. You don't get to do the rules. You have nothing to do with this. Yeah, I don't care what happens. Okay. You can have somebody play the guitar for you.
Starting point is 00:07:33 It can't be Eddie. Is she going to bring someone on the boat to play guitar? Who knows? I literally don't care. I'm not making any rules right now other than she has to write an original song and she has to play it on the show. And if we say it's good enough, she can open for us. I love it.
Starting point is 00:07:49 No. It can't be Eddie. No, Eddie's not going to play. guitar for you. Sorry, Abby. Because Eddie's got to be a judge. Oh. Oh, who's judging? Me, Eddie, on lunchbox? Oh, my God. Why am I not? That's so fair. You're too nice. Yes, you're way too nice. Yeah, you've got to be real with this girl. And guys, if we're trying
Starting point is 00:08:03 to get people on the cruise ship, this is not the way to do it. It's not about that. It's about Abby wanting to come out and open for us. And so... Yeah, and there's already plenty of people coming, and it's not like they're going to... They're going to cancel. No, they're not. How many people... I mean, honestly, how long has she had to learn guitar? She's not dedicated to stuff to guitar for sure Exactly She's not real
Starting point is 00:08:23 If you write an original It has to be somebody playing the music Because we don't have a track for it We can't do karaoke That's accurate Okay So before we go away for vacation In December
Starting point is 00:08:35 Because we take off like the last week You have to perform the song in studio And we have to Thumbs up or Thumbs Down Okay but so is it two out of three thumbs up Yeah Because we already know there's one thumbs down Oh guaranteed
Starting point is 00:08:48 No matter of you know he may impress her Or she may impress him. That's going to be tough. I'm a real judge. Abby, if you're good, I'll tell you you're good. When you suck, I'll tell you you you suck. You've never told me I'm good. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:08:59 That's not the response I would have had to that, Abby. Okay, so you have to write an original song and perform before Christmas, okay? Okay. And if you pass, you come on the cruise and you can open for us. And if any of the listeners want to come on the cruise, there are still rooms available. You go to top shelf countrycruise.com, and we'd love for you to come. It's not until March of next year. and what a Christmas present that would be for somebody.
Starting point is 00:09:21 You and your people, whomever, you guys come, watch Abby possibly open for us, The Raging Idiots? Possibly TBD. Oh, man, this is a lot of pressure. Also, there's a lot of really great. Riley Green's playing too. Lorna Lana.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Also, Abby is still considering singing at her own wedding. Right, we heard about this. I thought it was determined. We voted, yes. Yeah, everybody voted. But we don't actually get to pick. It's still Abby who gets to pick.
Starting point is 00:09:48 her wedding works, we don't just get to vote. No, it's not really a fan voting award. Would you please play voicemail too, Ray? Abby's wedding and potentially considering singing at her wedding. And I will tell you, we got married 32 years ago. My husband memorized a brand new phone and sang it for me at our wedding. And it was completely surprised. I had no idea.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Everybody talked about our wedding for years after that and said it was the sweetest. one special thing that made it so personal, and they just absolutely loved it. Go for it, Abby. Don't listen to Lunchbox. All right. Hit the next one, please. Talking about the wedding, Abby's wedding and Lunchbox. This guy is aater.
Starting point is 00:10:35 He just wants people to fail, and I don't understand it. You're supposed to love this person. You're supposed to work with this person. Come on, Lunchbox. Now, that's why I supported her and said, do it. Please sing at your wedding. Well, you want to laugh at. Oh, it is going to be hysterical.
Starting point is 00:10:50 You want to talk about like going viral? This will go viral, Abby. That's so mean. America's Funniest Videos. Here we come. No, in a cute way. America's Funniest videos? I mean, they still have it.
Starting point is 00:11:01 They still haven't. Come on now. Abby, we all think you should sing at your wedding. For different reasons. Okay. Oh, I also thought about from this moment on by Shania Twain. So that's also in the bag. So at your wedding, you're not going to sing an original.
Starting point is 00:11:17 You're going to sing a cover. Yeah, most likely. It would be cool to do an original. Exactly. You wrote about him. Exactly. Could she sing her vowels? You don't want to sing your vowels.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Then it's just a joke. Yeah, we're getting serious here. Oh yeah, sorry. Don't be ridiculous. Bobby Bones show. This story comes up to day. This story comes up from Bayshore, New York. A man needed medical emergency calls 911, ambulance comes.
Starting point is 00:11:46 They put him on the gurney. They're loading them up in the back of the ambulance. When boom! Drunk driver hits the ambulance, knocks the guy off the gurney. Oh my God. Causes more injuries, and they had to call a second ambulance
Starting point is 00:12:00 because the other one couldn't drive so to take him to the hospital. That's terrible. It was like a Simpsons episode where Homer gets in. Wow, so then what happens? The 32-year-old woman was charged with DUI. She's the one that crashed into the... And nothing extra?
Starting point is 00:12:15 No, he just had some injuries, but he's not... Dying or anything. Man, that sucks. Lucky nobody else was hurt really badly. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.
Starting point is 00:12:25 I have 10 myths that people still believe that aren't true. I want to see how many I believe. Okay. Have you ever heard that Einstein failed math? Yes, I have. They'll say that that Einstein was bad at math in school, so it's okay if you're bad at math because Einstein was also bad. Yeah, that's brought me a lot of comfort.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Einstein was exceptionally strong math. Oh, my goodness. He failed the. overall entrance exam to get into a really high Swiss college as a young teenager. But that was English. That was all of those. But he did well in math and physics. He still could have got in as a teenager. And so Einstein was not bad at math. Next up. Hair and fingernails keep growing after death. Yes. Growth stops when you die. Okay. As the skin dries and retracts, it looks like it's longer because the skin is actually going backward. Oh, that makes sense. So your nails
Starting point is 00:13:17 could appear to grow because all the skin has gone backward. Got it. Next up. You don't believe this one. I'll find out. You don't. You're smarter than this. Swallowed gum stays in your stomach for seven years.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Well, I believed it for quite some time, but then I realized that's just not the case. Because they would always say your body can't digest what gum is made of. It's just not true. It was something our parents told us to get us to not swallow our gum. Two days. What is it made of? Well, some rubber, some rubber. Yeah, right?
Starting point is 00:13:51 You're not supposed to swallow it, but you can swallow a penny and it will come out, and you're not supposed to eat a penny either. Lightning never strikes the same place twice. No, it can. Yeah, that's true. Just the odds of it aren't great. But lightning can strike the same place repeatedly. Tall buildings and towers, they get hit all the time,
Starting point is 00:14:10 the same spot by lightning all the time. Bulls hate the color red. Well, yeah, because isn't that what they use? It's like the bull fights. That is what they use, but mostly it's for the people sitting around. Bulls are pretty much colorblind, and they're reacting to the movement more than the color. The color is really easy to see because it's so dynamic from in the middle that everybody can see the boldness of the red. Okay, that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:14:36 So bulls don't hate red. That's hard to accept because we don't know what the bull thinks. Like has the bull come out and said, I actually like red. No, but you can tell if an eye. eyeball can see color or not. You can. Go to the eye doctor. How do they know your eyes and what your vision is? I don't know. I tell them. No, you,
Starting point is 00:14:56 they can look at your eye and tell how messed up your eye is before you do the vision tracking. Huh. Didn't know that. I didn't know that either. Like, so your eyeballs without you saying, I don't see color well, someone could just look at your eyeballs and say you're colorblind? They could look at my right eye and see it doesn't work. But. Okay. Well, that part I get, but
Starting point is 00:15:14 the colorblind part. Well, I don't know about the colorblind part, but they say the bulls don't hate red. Literally the red is made because of people sitting in the stands. Goldfish have a three-second memory. Yeah, be like a goldfish. That's true. I thought it was eight. Hmm?
Starting point is 00:15:27 Everyone says that's true. No, I mean, no, Ted Lassow does. Ted Lassow does. No, goldfish can learn. They can remember information. They can associate cues with food. They have memories that can last weeks or months. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:42 And then again, how do they know that? Well, because you can put the food over the top of it weeks or months later. And they're like, oh, that's food. I remember what that is. go to where the food's coming out. Yeah. Okay. But then at some point, did they forget it?
Starting point is 00:15:53 You're asking like I'm some sort of scientist. Next up, humans only use 10% of their brains. Oh, I've heard that. We actually use many different parts of our brains throughout the day. They say that 90% sitting unused is completely false. We don't know the full capabilities of our brain. But only 10% of it is not true. Some are probably operating at about 10%.
Starting point is 00:16:18 Why did you look at me? Why did you just look at both of us? That was so rude. Absolutely glared at both of us. And Amy, you're not thinking about like moving my arm right now. I'm using my brain, but I'm not thinking about it. My brain is telling my arm to move. He's only using 10% of his brain. You just proved the point.
Starting point is 00:16:33 I mean, Eddie, you made it sound so stupid. Really? You sounded so dumb there. Oh, goodness. Your brain moves your arm. And then Napoleon. Short guy? Yes.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Average guy. they all of his enemies would but the enemies were taller right no the enemies would create propaganda to be like oh he's so little to make him seem weaker well then why do we call it napoleon syndrome when little people are all angry um like shorter people well shorter shorter men ray no ray's not angry though but there
Starting point is 00:17:06 i do know a short man that has napoleon syndrome but that syndrome is named after something that didn't actually happen Napoleon wasn't actually short All of his enemies made that story up to make him seem weaker. I'm hearing you now. It just seems like we need a new name. Do you have the syndrome? I do not. I'm not a short man.
Starting point is 00:17:24 A couple other ones. Bats are blind. No, no. Bats don't use their eyes to fly. They use echolocation while they're in the sky. Correct. Different parts of your tongue taste different flavors. Do they?
Starting point is 00:17:34 No. Most taste at all. The whole tongue. Shaving makes hair grow back thicker. No. Oh, yeah. That's what we used to think we were kids. That doesn't happen because I shave my face.
Starting point is 00:17:45 It does not change hair thickness or growth rate. Just the blunt end makes the regrowth feel coarser. Cracking your knuckles causes arthritis. Does not. AJ's mom taught us that. It is incorrect. It can annoy everybody around you, but it does not create arthritis. And then you have to wait 24 hours before reporting someone missing.
Starting point is 00:18:05 No. No. There is absolutely. That is something that television has, they've done wrong for society. What? Or people will think that's true because it's on so many TV shows and movies. If you think someone's missing and something's wrong with them, you call right now. You call the cops right now.
Starting point is 00:18:19 You don't have to wait 24 hours. And the cop's not going to tell you. Call back in 24 hours. Did you see the story the other day? I have no idea if this is true or not. But it got me where someone reported their friend missing because they hadn't sent them any reels or memes on Instagram. No, I didn't see that. In like a day or two, it's someone that they exchanged that stuff with every single day.
Starting point is 00:18:40 So they were worried about them. That's not real, though. Sounds made up. I don't know. No, I'm going to tell you right now that's not real. Oh. Yeah, that's funny. I hope they're okay.
Starting point is 00:18:50 That's not real. Hello? What's your favorite scary podcast? Our radio presents the soundtrack to your October. From spooky podcasts and chilling playlists to nonstop Halloween radio and more. We have all the thrills and chills you're craving this season. Press play. If there's a million times more digital intelligence than there is biological intelligence,
Starting point is 00:19:27 it's hard to imagine humans being in control in that scenario. I'm Walter Isaacson, host of the new podcast, The Builders. Right now, we're living through an AI arms race. So I went directly to the people shaping that future. Elon Musk, Dario Amade, Alex Carr, Faye, Faye, Faye Leap, Allmer Lucky. Because I wanted to understand what the most consequential builders believe, what they fear and where they think this is all headed. Silicon Valley is always saying the cliche thing about the way to predict the future is to create it.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Well, yeah, it's up to us. But when you say us, who's us? Is it 400 people that you know in Silicon Valley? Is it me down here in New Orleans? They're brilliant, controversial, and they're already shaping the future. The question is, whose imagination do we want to live in? This is going to determine the fate of nations and economies and the future of humanity. Listen to the builders on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:20:34 I'm Hamza. And I'm Martin. And we're the hosts of Out of Character. It's a podcast. I know there's a lot of them going around. But why should you listen to ours? Well, we're only the best podcast in the entire world. And we talk about pretty much everything under the sun.
Starting point is 00:20:48 For example, music we're listening to, underground music, trending music. drama in music worlds. Yes, sometimes we even talk about just everyday mundane situations in our lives like the cool Uber driver we just had. Or the food we just say, that is surprisingly delicious. Or we'll talk about the Med Gala and the looks that they wore. Are they awesome? Are they trendy?
Starting point is 00:21:11 Come find out. Because our opinion matters. And so does yours. And this is a place where all of our minds can come together and connect. So what are you waiting for? Come connect with us. Listen to out of character from Will Ferrell's Big Money. Players Network on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Pods, or wherever you get your podcasts. Let's play Name That Scary Movie. I will play you a quote from a scary movie. You just
Starting point is 00:21:32 name the movie. For example, here's number one. I see dead people. Oh, that is six cents. That's six cents, yeah. Now, are these clips or do I need to do that every time? We got clips. Okay. I was a little confused there. Oh, that was you? That's me, yeah. Wow, me, good job. I just whispered it, man. You sounded like that guy. Really nothing to it. Okay, ready, write your answer down. Name this horror movie. Hi, I'm Chuckie. Want to play?
Starting point is 00:22:03 I'm in. One more time, please. Hi, I'm Chuckie. Want to play? I'm in. I'm in for the room. Eddie? Child's play.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Amy? Child's play. Lunchbox? Chuckie. Child's play. It is. Number two. I want to play a game.
Starting point is 00:22:27 I'm in. I'm in. I'm in for the win. I want to play a game. Amy. Saw. Lunchbox? Saw.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Eddie? Saw. That's correct. Good job. Number three. Here's Johnny. Is that familiar at all? I'm in.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Why am I picturing? Yeah, hold on. Here's Johnny. What are you picturing? I'm picturing what I don't want to say. Okay, fair enough. Go ahead and picture it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:05 What do you have? Jack Nicholson. Okay. What's your movie? What's your movie? The Shining. Eddie. It is the Shining.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Amy. I don't have it. What is Jack Nicholson? In The Shining. In the Shining. Dang it. What score, Mike? Eddie has three.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Amy and Lunchbucks have two. Right. Here. Amen. Whoa. You couldn't even have written down that fast. How did you? They're here.
Starting point is 00:23:33 I'm in. They're here. I've seen none of those movies. I saw six cents, but that to me is not a horror movie. And I've seen none of these. You haven't seen the Shining? The Shining's good. I don't do scary movies.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Oh, dude. All right, they're here. Lunchbox. Paranormal activity. Eddie. Poltergeist. Amy. Pultergeist.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Poltergeist. Pultergeist. I don't know how to spell it. Whatever you're saying, fair enough. Good. Next up. Whatever you do, don't fall.
Starting point is 00:24:03 asleep. What scary movie is that? Whatever you do, don't fall asleep. I'm in. I'm in. Lunchbox? Halloween. Incorrect. Amy. Amy. Candyman. Incorrect. Eddie. It is nightmare on Elm Street. Correct. Because Freddie would get you in your dreams. Yes. In your nightmares. You don't have to correct me. Dreams it worked. But our night.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Nightmare scary? They turn into nightmares once Freddy's in there. You're dreaming, see? Then once Freddy shows up, it's a nightmare. Got it. Number six. I ate his liver with some father beans and a nice kianti. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Name that one. Name that movie. One more time. I ate his liver with some father beans and a nice kianti. Hi man. So gross. I'm in. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:25:07 Halloween. Incorrect. Amy. Silence of the lambs. Correct. Eddie. Silence of the lambs. Correct.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Final one. What the... One more time? Seven days. I'm in for the win. Lunchbox. Blair Witch. Incorrect.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Amy. Signs. Incorrect. Eddie. I'm just using context clue on the phone. Is it scream? Incorrect. It's the ring.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Oh, the ring. I never seen it. That's what I meant. No. No, really, I was picturing the... Which one is the ring? She comes to the screen, right? Yeah, you watch the tape and you die in seven days. Dang.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Oh, that's what she's saying, seven days. Wait, so you watch the tape. Yep. And then if you finish the movie, you get a call like that, and then they tell you you die in seven days. Does anybody ever make it? You have to watch the movie to find out. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:26:05 So once you get the message, you're going to die in seven days? Yes. So you just go, like, go skydiving. Well, you might die before that. Oh, okay. That's scary. I don't think it means you get seven free days. I think if you're alive in seven days, I bet they come and kill you.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Is that a good one? Oh, that's a really good one. Really? Okay, winner is? Eddie. Did you miss any? Oh, you missed one. We would have used these.
Starting point is 00:26:30 I've been gone to tie. This is your bonus round. All right, hit it. What an excellent day for an exorcism. Hmm. I'm assuming that's the exorcist. That is correct. Next one?
Starting point is 00:26:41 You hang up on me again. I'll cut you like a fish. That's got to be scream. That's scream? Okay. Next one? I didn't mean to startle you. That's all right.
Starting point is 00:26:50 You know, it's Halloween. I guess everyone's entitled to one good scare, huh? That's Halloween. What's that one about? Michael Myers going on a rampage on Halloween night? Oh, that's Michael Myers? Halloween's Michael Myers? Yeah, he escapes from a mental prison.
Starting point is 00:27:03 And that mask is the guy from Star Trek. Yeah, they just painted it white and took off the hair. Really? Or the sideburns, I guess. Which guy from Star Trek? Who's the most famous guy for Star Trek? William Shatner. That mask is William Chattner.
Starting point is 00:27:15 No way. I didn't know that. Congratulations. Thank you. Big win there, Eddie. Hope you feel good about it. I just got breaking news here that Lunchbox is doing trunk or treat.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Okay. Oh, I thought he hated it. At breaking news after he is just reeled against trunk or treats. Interesting. So, yeah, what's up? Oh, my wife heard us talking about how much I hate trunk or treat.
Starting point is 00:27:40 And so we had a little conversation. She had a confession to make that she signed up for trunk or treat at the school. You know how I feel about trunk or treats. I mean, the school didn't need to be volunteers. They didn't have enough cars. You know why they didn't have enough cars? Because people think trunk or treats are stupid.
Starting point is 00:28:01 No, they just didn't get enough volunteers. So I said we would help and we're going to host a trunk. And the kids are going to love it. I am anti-trunker-treat. So you will be hosting a trunk. Like it is the, it's like, I would need you to be a part of the costume. I can't believe you went behind my back.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Maybe when you get home from it, we can make out. I'm surprised you're doing it because you were so against it. So she's telling you to do it and you're doing it? No, no, no, I didn't say I was doing it. Sounds like you're doing it. I said I wasn't doing it. I'm not drunk or treat guy. I don't like trunk or treat.
Starting point is 00:28:32 Because. It's stupid. It ruins the novelty of Halloween. It takes away from the aura. If you already have a bag full of candy before we even get to Halloween, you don't have to go trick-or-treating. It's just dumb. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:28:45 It's dumb. It is so dumb. I can't believe how much trunk or treat is taken over our society. We need to go back to the good old days. Of? Just knocking on door saying trick or treat on Halloween. Then? Then what?
Starting point is 00:29:00 I don't know. Then you go home and eat the candy. Going to 26 different trunk or treats ruins Halloween. I don't mind it. Feel safe and you get all your candy and you get to go home. Yeah. Wouldn't you like more than one day of Christmas? where you get presents like three days in a row?
Starting point is 00:29:15 No. Yes. Because then it ruins the authenticity of Christmas. Like I don't understand like the authenticity. Yes. I don't think it runs the authenticity of it. It's still. I mean, Halloween is safe.
Starting point is 00:29:27 If you don't have a neighborhood that's safe, they usually go to another neighborhood. It's okay. Well, we're just happy you're doing it. Yeah, man. And not just doing it. He's hosting a trunk. Right. I am not hosting a truck.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Yeah, you are. And he'll be dressed. And will you be wearing pants? Or does only your wife have them? No, I wear the pants. No, I just wondering. What are you talking about? I am the pants.
Starting point is 00:29:47 We heard the audio. Yeah, no, we heard. You'll be trunking it. And you know what? They're going to have to use his wife's car because this dude doesn't have one. Well, that's why she signed up. His bike.
Starting point is 00:29:57 His basket on his bike. It's his trucker treat. Yeah, let us know how that goes. When is that? Friday. Yeah. That'd be fun. That'd be fun.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Do you see the story about Kristen Bell and Dach Shepard and Dax Shepard and Dax Shepard flirting with other women? Yeah. And that's his way of flirting with her. Yeah, I didn't understand. Tell me that's more. So they're doing a podcast together and they're talking about how Dax flirts with his wife by basically flirting with other women, except not flirting it. He compliments them.
Starting point is 00:30:27 And he says that when he is noticing nice things about other people making them feel good, his wife likes that. So that's his way of flirting with her. That is so twisted. Yeah, but if she likes seeing him being kind, then I get it. But did you hear the example she used? She said like if there's a server, a woman's server. Well, he used it. I heard him say that like if he compliments like her eyelashes.
Starting point is 00:30:50 He has your beautiful eyes. Yeah. Does it also work if he compliments a man? Like if he's just being kind. Right. So I think it's just overall him noticing people being kind, making others feel good. She's attracted to that. That's his way of flirting with her.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Yeah. No, there's no. Dude, if I was at, my wife and I were at a restaurant and the server comes up, up and I'm like, you have beautiful eyes. I would get slapped in the face. If you say it like that. How else would you say it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:19 What if it was to a dude though? What if a dude comes up and you go, dang, man, you have beautiful eyes. I wouldn't say that. I would be like, dude, your hair looks cool. Okay. You know? So could you say that to the server if it is a woman? Could you be like, hey, your eyes look cool?
Starting point is 00:31:34 Yeah, but I'm telling just her. I'm not doing it to make my wife feel like she's being complimented. If your wife was into that. That's so weird. How would your wife be into you talking about other women being hot? Or, no, it's about you being kind to other people. Like, she likes it when he's nice to other people. And she feels like he does that, especially whenever that's his way of showing her, that he's paying attention to their relationship on what she likes in their relationship.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Huh. You don't like that? It just seems weird. It seems made up. Okay, but weird doesn't mean wrong. Correct. I just don't know in what world they're living in where he is just allowed to say
Starting point is 00:32:14 any kind of compliment to another woman and then she looks at that as a oh he's doing that for me no he was telling her she has pretty eyes yeah he wouldn't tell you not you because if he thought you did he would tell you that she said his kindness towards strangers makes her feel loved
Starting point is 00:32:27 especially since he's unlikely to ever see them again the stranger what do you mean they can slide into his DM at any time that story's from e-news yeah she says let's say it's a girl he's going to have zero interaction with this girl for the rest of his life. The chances of him ever having another conversation with her are so microscopic.
Starting point is 00:32:45 Until that one time. So you couldn't do that? I read that and I was just like, that's just so weird. I don't understand it. Doesn't mean it's wrong, though. Yeah, you're right. I was reading this story from Entertainment Tonight. They have picked the best Stephen King movies and TV shows of all time.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Oh, no, don't tell me life of Chuck is on there. You shouldn't hate one of the movies that I think. is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen in my life. We both watch it though, dude. I mean, it's not. Okay, I don't mean to be insulting, but it's you two. But also, I didn't finish it. Yeah, small brains.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Life of Chuck, did not make it. Okay, the best Stephen King anything. I don't know what else is out there. Carrie? The Green Mile. We say Carrie. Carrie's number 14. That was in 1976.
Starting point is 00:33:33 What do you say, Eddie? Green Mile. No. It. Did he do it? Stephen King Yeah Wow
Starting point is 00:33:40 No I didn't make it Number one is stand by me Oh he did that Wow What a great movie From 1986 Number two is the Shining 1980
Starting point is 00:33:50 That's good Number three is Shawshank Redemption 1984 So he's not just an author No no no he wrote the book No he wrote all the books That these are Oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:33:59 Oh so he didn't direct these films Oh my God So he didn't star in this Wait a minute Sorry He ain't Samuel L Jackson. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:34:09 You guys have like I'm done. There are so many people that listening to this right now think you guys are talking about that he directed these movies. You don't know that. I know so. I had no, when you started saying he did all these.
Starting point is 00:34:19 These are all things that he's written. I didn't know those were all books. He's a writer. Number four is the running man. Oh yeah. They did that twice. Wait, is that the Jamaican bobsled team? No, maybe.
Starting point is 00:34:29 That's cool running. That's cool running. Jamaica's got up. John Candy? Okay. Hey, that's a good movie too, though, Amy. That's funny Number five is Pet Cemetery
Starting point is 00:34:42 Never saw that one Some of these are actual real-life horror But some of them are just Excellent Like movies I mean the fact that he wrote Stand By Me and the Shawshank Redemption That's elite
Starting point is 00:34:52 Some other ones I don't know Mr. Mercedes I think it was a TV show Misery at 7 The Mist at 8 Is that a good one? That's a really good one Wait misery where
Starting point is 00:35:01 She locks him up in the bed And ties in Oh wow that movie was crazy The Miss It's where all these people get stuck in a supermarket because this mist takes over the town and there are monsters in the mist. Oh, yeah, you talked about that on the episode of Craziest Twists. Oh, I'm not going to say what happens at the end. The Long Walk, which is a movie that I loved.
Starting point is 00:35:22 It came out. It's on Apple Plus, whatever right now, you can download it. But it's like you have to keep walking. Whoever goes the longest without under a certain speed, you get killed. Oh, yeah. That was speaking. And it's all people that have rough lives. And so they're doing it to kind of change their family's fortune.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Wow. Yeah, it's great. Dolores Claiborne. Don't know what that is. Scary? Is that the good, DeLaur? The Dead Zone, Christine, Castle Rock, Carrie, and at number 15, 11, 22, 63, which is a series on Netflix. It was a book.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Oh, that's the JFK one? It's the JFK one. Oh, yeah. I have no idea he wrote that. James Franco is in it. I watch it. It's pretty good series. So he acted in that one?
Starting point is 00:35:59 He directed and acted. And wrote the book. I never said acted. But I would put Life of Chuck at number one. They must have made this. before Life of Chuck came out. You know what I just realized? I have no idea what Stephen King looks like.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Really? So I'm Googling him. Do you wear glasses? You don't know what it looks like either? I have seen it before, but I don't remember. Now that I see him, I guess, suppose I have seen him before, but I would not. If you were like, describe Stephen King right now, I wouldn't have been able to do it. You know?
Starting point is 00:36:29 And he's so wildly popular. My wife didn't know what vanilla ice look like. Really? She was like, what's that guy look like? Does he look like Eminem? And I said, well, sort of. She also, I have the Smashing Pumpkins lead singer coming up Tuesday on the Bobbycast, Billy Corrigan. No idea.
Starting point is 00:36:50 No idea of Smashing Pumpkins. But she's also 12 years younger than I am. So, yeah, that was an interesting one that she, because Smashing Pumpkins are massive, but to me they're massive because of the 90s. But she didn't know who that was at all. But the fact that Stephen King wrote some of those books that turned out to be like one of the, Charles Chagg Redemption is one of the best two or three movies of our lifetime. For sure.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Yeah, shout out Stephen King. I just don't watch horror. Did he do the dog one? Coojo? Yeah. Okay, so Coojo, what's the one with Tom Hanks, though? Turner and Hoot. Those are different, right?
Starting point is 00:37:22 He didn't do that one. Okay. My name is Jeff Klomps. I'm an Ontario grain farmer. The pride for me is knowing that I'm producing a sustainable product that we can grow every year. and help ensure the Ontario families get the best possible products that they can on the grocery store shelves. If there's a million times more digital intelligence than there is biological intelligence, it's hard to imagine humans being in control in that scenario.
Starting point is 00:37:51 I'm Walter Isaacson, host of the new podcast, The Builders. Right now, we're living through an AI arms race. So I went directly to the people shaping that future. Elon Musk, Dario Amade, Alex Carr, Faye, Faye, Lange, because I wanted to understand what the most consequential builders believe, what they fear, and where they think this is all headed. Silicon Valley is always saying the cliche thing about the way to predict the future is to create it. Well, yeah, it's up to us.
Starting point is 00:38:25 But when you say us, who's us? Is it 400 people that you know in Silicon Valley? Is it me down here in New Orleans? They're brilliant, controversial, and they're already shaping the future. The question is, whose imagination do we want to live in? This is going to determine the fate of nations and economies and the future of humanity. Listen to the builders on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Hamza.
Starting point is 00:38:56 And I'm Martin. And we're the hosts of Out of Character. It's a podcast. I know there's a lot of them going around. But why should you listen to ours? Well, we're only the best podcast in the entire world. And we talk about pretty much everything under the sun. For example, music we're listening to, underground music, trending music, drama in music worlds.
Starting point is 00:39:16 Yes, sometimes we even talk about just everyday mundane situations in our lives, like the cool Uber driver we just had. Or the food we just say that is surprisingly delicious. Or we'll talk about the Med Gala and the looks that they wore. Are they awesome? Are they trendy? Come find out. Because our opinion matters. And so does yours. And this is a place where all of our minds can come together and connect. So what are you waiting for? Come connect with us. Listen out of character from Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network
Starting point is 00:39:44 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Pods, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, here's the question. What did you swear you'd never pay someone to do? And now you happily pay someone to do it. I made a list. What? Okay, I'm trying to say I'm thinking. Well, what have I ever had a problem?
Starting point is 00:40:02 What is something? For me, one of them is mo. One, because I mowed yards as a kid, then I had a job doing... I was like, I'm never going to have somebody else mow my yard. Now, I haven't mowed a yard in 10 years. Well, we have property. And so I'm not going to get on a bush hog or tractor. Also, I'm just going to pay someone to do it.
Starting point is 00:40:24 That's one of mine, you? Mine's the plumbing. So, like, usually if anything's done around the house, it's like, I can Google it. I can watch a YouTube video and fix it. But lately, I'm just like, I'm not going to mess with that. Just hire someone to come fix the floater. I know that it's a floater in the tank It's not a big deal but just hire someone to do it
Starting point is 00:40:42 I also feel too at times that I'm not too good or too busy for it But I know that I can actually make the situation worse That too And it's gonna end up costing me more Yeah Because when you say plumbing that's what it reminds me of Is that I can try And maybe I can do it
Starting point is 00:40:57 But I've messed up washers and dryers trying to fix them And so I just call someone to come fix it Dude I used to enjoy going to the store Looking up the part Talking to the guy watching the YouTube video and fixing it myself. But now I'm just like, why? Like, I'll probably mess it up.
Starting point is 00:41:13 You? Painting comes to mind. I don't know if that's just something we always did early on. Like when I first was owning a home and was married, if we wanted to paint something in the house, we painted it ourselves. And that just made sense I could never cross my mind to hire a painter. And now I would be like, I'm not painting that room.
Starting point is 00:41:31 We probably had a lot of fights while we were painting as well. But other than that, I don't think I have a problem. I'm hiring anybody for anything. Anything. Like anything. I feel like I'm like, hmm, no. Growing up I'd probably be like, I'd happily pay somebody else to do that. But what I shouldn't be paying for is all the food delivery that I do sometimes.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Like, that's stupid. That's where I probably waste the most money. Yes. If I were just looking at the end of the year, most money wasted probably that. Another one's having the dog walked. Oh, wow. I could do that for you. Well, there was a time when I just wouldn't go home.
Starting point is 00:42:07 Yeah, so it's a necessity. Yeah, and so I would get on the app and be like, can you go to my house and wherever the dog walking? And I was in random people who I'd never met to my house to walk my, grab my dog, go in my house, then they could have robbed me for everything because I would just be like, I'm not going home for like 13 hours. Can you go home and walk my dog? You know, I have to do that from time to time.
Starting point is 00:42:26 You know who showed up in my house wants to walk the dog? Oh, let me play Keith Urban. Yes, Keith Urban. Wow, yeah, yeah. She and I twain. It is a singer. Dirk's Bentley. Garth Brooks.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Our old intern, Lexie Hayden. Yeah, I know. We talked about that. I know, but that's funny that it was when she showed off. I'm like, wait, what? Hi. I just saw her at the store. You did? Sure did. Lunchbox anything?
Starting point is 00:42:47 Movers. That's a good one. You always call your buddies, right? Oh, yeah, call your buddies. Let's go move. Oh, my gosh. And then as I got older, I'm like, you know what? Man, I'm going to hire a mover.
Starting point is 00:42:57 That is the greatest thing ever. And your buddies appreciate it because we never want to help. Yeah, we help. We helped that he moved like three times. And then I need to help move, and he helped me for an hour and bailed. I had something, dude. You had something? I had something I didn't need to get to, but I still went. It's like, dude, I got a solid hour in me. Let me help you.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Let me help you. I helped me have to help. Hey, what's the one item you remember the most of the three houses? Your dang grill. Oh my God. That grill was so heavy. It was muddy. We had the whole U-Haul field. He goes, oh, I forgot my grill. Trying to get it up that hill. It probably weighed about 500 pounds. Has that same grill moved to every house? No, we left it at the last house. Why?
Starting point is 00:43:38 Because of that reason. It was so heavy. It was too heavy to move. Amy left me a voice memo yesterday that was about a minute long or so. That's it? It's what I said. Wow. Oh.
Starting point is 00:43:49 She was concerned it was too long. Yeah, because I really, what I was trying to say, my goal was under 30 seconds. And I think it hit about 53 seconds, which to me was, oof. I thought I was teetering close to like, hey, hit me about this later. I'm not going to listen. It's so long. To be fair, I never listened. You didn't listen to it?
Starting point is 00:44:10 I read it. Wow. The transcript. Yeah. If that comes across and there's no transcript, that's a nightmare. Like, I just want to drive off a bridge. Oh. So you're never even listening to them.
Starting point is 00:44:21 So. Almost never. Because the transcript comes with them and I can hit read and I just read it real quick. Oh. Well, I had nothing to worry about then. Yeah. But it's still a long text. That's a long text to read, man.
Starting point is 00:44:33 Sometimes if I record a voice memo to somebody and it's a minute 20 or something, So delete. I bet I can do that faster. So I was in the room when Amy recorded hers and she asked. She's like, was that too long? Oh, to me? I said, I asked it to you. And I said, no.
Starting point is 00:44:48 I mean, I think it's part for the course, right? Like Bobby expects it. She was about to redo it. No, no, I expect a five-minuteer. I expect a podcast with some sort of commercial in the middle. But that 53 seconds was me. I mean, I had to set a 30-second goal to get to 53 seconds because normally I for sure would have hit the two-minute mark with that.
Starting point is 00:45:06 And I don't know why I can't just say something in a concise way. Because it would have taken me, it would have taken you six words to say what I said. Okay. I would have just done it over. She was going to do it over. And then Eddie was like, no, no, it's fine. And then I was like, is he setting me up. To be ridiculed on the show.
Starting point is 00:45:30 You're just setting her up for show ridicule. I think a minute, 10, and less. fine. Generally speaking. What if it's your girlfriend? Then my wife's gonna be mad. Oh yeah. It would not be good. I would not be good. No, I mean like girls
Starting point is 00:45:46 that are sending them. Like y'all don't want that. It's all about the relationship. Girlfriends are fine with It's all about the relationship. But I think you think it's fine because people don't tell you that it's not fine because you just leave long ones. Yeah. That's just, that's Sammy. That's just what we say. I think it's a bit inconsiderate though to leave a long one.
Starting point is 00:46:03 What if it's entertaining? It's not. It's not. seeing Amy doesn't know how to just get to the point. Like, just say. Are you talking about on a phone or just anywhere? I guess anywhere. I never know.
Starting point is 00:46:15 It's not my strength. And somehow, here I am with a microphone. It was fine. I read it and I said, oh, let's just talk about it tomorrow. Okay, cool. Which is. Like, you want to talk about it? Which is today.
Starting point is 00:46:30 No, not here. That was my response back, though, was. Yeah, he said like, one word. Hey, don't forget. I said, let's talk about tomorrow. Don't forget. And Amy, that is how you do it concisely. And then concisely, I replied, okay, I won't.
Starting point is 00:46:46 All right, now it's time for the investigative corny. 90 seconds on the clock. Are these all Halloween? Yeah, they are. Is it all gourd? No, but this is a final, final week of Halloween stuff and not a single gourd is in here. Oh, okay. Good thing. We never actually talk about gourds or
Starting point is 00:47:04 I know. But, okay. These are all Halloween jokes-ish. We have to figure out as many as we can in 90 seconds. Guys, you ready? Ready. Ready. Get it. The morning corny.
Starting point is 00:47:17 What room does a ghost avoid? Broom closet. The living room. Yes. Oh. The living room. What's a vampire's favorite fruit? Dragon.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Blood orange. Blood. Blood. Blood. Blood. Blood. Blood. Blood.
Starting point is 00:47:32 Are there blood oranges, though? Yeah, that's what it is. Read again. What? of vampires favorite fruit. Okay. Nectarine. Is that it?
Starting point is 00:47:42 Yes. No. Yes, nectrine. You're getting weird. No, I'm not. What's a ghost's favorite dessert? Boo berries. Boo cream, boo cream.
Starting point is 00:47:50 Boo curry pie. Boo berry pie. Boo. We read it again? What's a ghost's favorite dessert? Blueberry muffins. Booberry donuts. What do you guys say about?
Starting point is 00:48:00 Boobri pie? No, no. I, oh, ice cream. Yes. Okay, why did the zombie skip school? He was wrapped. He was scared. Oh, I was thinking of mummy.
Starting point is 00:48:13 What do the zombies do? I don't know. They eat. They're late people. Okay, do it again? Why did the zombie skip school? Okay. He was tardy.
Starting point is 00:48:21 He was playing hooky. He was sick. He was sick. He was scared. Called in sick? He was. What do zombies do? He's dead?
Starting point is 00:48:30 He's dead. He's dead. He's dead. They're dead. They're ill. Why did the zombie skip school? Because the vampire didn't eat the blood orange. Let's go back.
Starting point is 00:48:40 He was dead meat. He didn't do his homework. He didn't. Dog ate his homework. Yeah, he fell asleep, overslept. He stunk. He stunk? Stunk?
Starting point is 00:48:51 I don't know. She nodded at me. I don't know what a zombie. He felt rotten. Zombies are rotten. They're rotten. Yeah, that's a hard one, but that's good. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Y'all got living room, nectarine, ice cream. That's good. Was that four? That's three. Three. All were on a roll for sure. That rotten one was hard, man. Yeah, that's tough.
Starting point is 00:49:14 If you guys love Halloween, Audible presents Bram Stoker's Dracula. This is fun. It's a new full cast audio thriller with Ella Pernel of Fallout. Mina Harker, Jonathan Bailey from Wicked is Dracula. It's a whole A-Lis cast. Maggie Jillon Hall is in it as Van Helsing. Amy Lou Wood from the White Lotus.
Starting point is 00:49:33 You know who she is? Yeah. Yeah. She's interesting. She's good. I liked her on that as Lucy and many more. I'm going to play a little clip of this. Hit that.
Starting point is 00:49:41 And with this baptism of my blood in your mouth, throat and veins. You shall be my servant. That's crazy. That sounds awesome. This is the kind of audiobook where it's a full cast. It's acted out. Oh, I hear you. Like listening to it is so fun this way.
Starting point is 00:50:03 That's, I don't like scary movies. almost was that part, where it's like felt real. I got chills, listen to that. I'm not kidding. I don't know if you're being, I don't know if you're exaggerating. That sounds awesome. He's not exaggerating. No.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Because like a little bit, I did feel that, but I think you're making fun of me. I'm not making fun of you. I want to hear it again. No. Yeah, that's up. You guys can listen to that. It is the year's best new audio thriller. Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Starting point is 00:50:28 Audible's new full cast original adaptation now on Audible. Listen to the darkness. Is that what they say to the door? Listen to the darkness. That's so cool. Go to audible.com slash listen to Dracula. There it is. Okay.
Starting point is 00:50:43 Yeah, that was weird. That was like scary. That was so scary, dude. I love that. I like happy stuff. Like, I feel like my kids would love listening to that in the car. Like gather around, gather around the Audible. Okay.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Who's up in you guys' phone of the big heads? Oh, I don't do big heads because that messes me up. What do you mean big heads? I don't know what you mean. I've tried to do. It's you can pin people like your phone. favorites, like your family, your kids, whatever, and anytime I pin people, it doesn't work out well. Yeah, you're supposed to pin the people that you text the most so you can get right to them.
Starting point is 00:51:14 Oh, I don't have that. Like mine, I don't want to show you because I'll tell you, but I have three big heads on top of mine. I see them. I have three big heads. Let me guess. Caitlin. Yep. You probably saw mine just now.
Starting point is 00:51:24 No, I didn't. I didn't. Okay. But I think me. Did you nail all three, Amy? Yeah, it's going to be saw that. I think Caitlin's a safe bet that your wife. My wife is number one in my big heads.
Starting point is 00:51:33 Yes. Mike D. Correct. And then, I don't know, three is grab bag. Grab bag. That's not a pick. Three. Pick that third person, go.
Starting point is 00:51:45 I got it. Caitlin's dad. Okay, you. Morgan, number one. Oh, yeah, that's right. You. Videos. Huh?
Starting point is 00:51:54 Brandon? Oh, Brandon. Brandon's a good one. Brandon does videos. It's Caitlin, Mike. Oh, wow, Eddie. What? You're in the top.
Starting point is 00:52:06 You're one of my big heads. This feels like my face. This is like my face. It's going to start crying. Dang, dude. Well, yeah, so are we. For different reasons, though. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm happy.
Starting point is 00:52:17 I'm happy. Yeah. Yeah, my three big heads are Caitlin. You know, you can have six big heads. I don't need that many. Oh, okay. Amy's offended. Speaking of, I've been missing some of your TikTok videos that you sent me.
Starting point is 00:52:30 You don't send me one in a while. You don't respond to stuff. No, I watch them, though, and they make me laugh. But you're the worst at responding to stuff. Just group texts. You, I'll respond right away. Not always. Well, it depends what I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Yeah, you're not a good responder. But yeah, whatever. You are one of my big heads. I miss your shared videos that you sent me. I don't overshare. Like, I'm not sending 10 a day. But if there's a couple funny ones, I'll send it along. I think I'm pretty good at picking what's funny and what's not.
Starting point is 00:52:58 But congratulations. Thank you, man. Your third, though. You're after Mike. That's okay. That's great. Doesn't matter. Man, MySpace used to like tick people off, huh?
Starting point is 00:53:05 Yeah. What was that? Top eight? Top eight. Top eight friends. Like if you're 30 or below listening to us right now, MySpace was the first social media for us, and you would put your literal top eight friends on the front of the page.
Starting point is 00:53:20 And not only, were you mad if you didn't make the top eight, you would get angry depending on where you were when you did make the top eight. Yeah. It's traumatic. I know. This is bringing up. It was like not getting picked for sports when you didn't get put in someone's top eight. The worst.
Starting point is 00:53:39 Erica and Maryland is on the phone because Lunchbox was talking about he had so many sores in his mouth at once. You're pretty good now, though. Yeah, I'm almost all the way back. Erica, what's up? Hey, so morning studio. Morning. So, yeah, my husband would always get, like, the frequent canker sores,
Starting point is 00:53:59 and we thought it was from maybe acidic food. And so finally, I was like, all right, let's just go to the dentist, because it's, I mean, I feel like that's kind of abnormal. And the dentist said that a lot of toothpaste have this ingredient called SLS in it. And a lot of the more natural ones actually claim no SLS on it. SLS is apparently some agent that like helps spread the toothpaste around your mouth. So I went out and got him a bunch of products that have no SLS. And ever since he hasn't gotten one, so maybe that's something you could try if it continues for you.
Starting point is 00:54:45 I have no idea if that's similar to your issue or you figured out why that happens for you so frequently too. You know what I like about this call? Eric, I appreciate it. You don't have to hang up on her. What I like about this call is that Erica came on the show. she shared a story and then she said, I don't know if that's what it is, but I would just like to say this is what helped us. She didn't come on and go, this is the only way to do it. This is the problem. For sure, it's this. I like how Erica handles herself because something helps her husband. She thought it could work. She's not saying it's a cure-all.
Starting point is 00:55:19 But people aren't like that anymore. Yeah, apparently I just Googled it and some people are sensitive to the sodium laurel sulfate. So, Eric, first I'd like to say to you, thank you for being you. Aw. Yeah. Well, thank you for being you. All of you. I love this show.
Starting point is 00:55:34 Thank you very much. Hope you have a great day. Or listen all the time. You do the same. God bless. You too. Bye-bye. And she had it with a God bless.
Starting point is 00:55:41 I got to love that. It could be your mouth. It could be this. Maybe not. No, I mean, what she said is not accurate because she said it happened. Oh, he's that guy. Hold on. He's the opposite of it.
Starting point is 00:55:51 He's the absolutist. I haven't even said what I'm going to say. We have an idea. And you guys have already jumped down my throat. We know what you're saying. Go ahead. No. She said it.
Starting point is 00:56:00 is happening frequently to her husband. It was happening all the time. This is the first time that it's happened to me. So it's one time. Okay. So it's not frequent. But sometimes things don't happen until they happen. And your body can develop an allergy later.
Starting point is 00:56:14 And she's not even saying it was it. She was just saying it could be that. I'm just saying it's not it. Okay. You don't know that. I do. It's only happened one time. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:21 One time now. Do you know what sometimes things? All right. Thank you for listening to the show. The Bobby Bone Show. All right. Hi. I'm Aaron calling from San Antonio.
Starting point is 00:56:32 I'm four months behind on the podcast, but on today's episode, Bobby was talking about whether his daughter is going to root for Oklahoma or Arkansas. And I was thinking, like, you should do amazing things during the Arkansas game. Like, I don't know, blow up toys,
Starting point is 00:56:48 a bouncy, so she'll get excited every time Arkansas plays because it's like dad's going to have all this cool stuff. That's all. Bye. Yeah, I love the manipulation there. That training. Solid. Solid. Yeah. It's going to be a few years before the memories kick in. But my wife did get her in Oklahoma
Starting point is 00:57:03 onesie when she slept in it and it really it really burned me up. Oh no. It really burned me up. I didn't even know. Because I was working in the evening. It was maybe once every two weeks, I'll miss bath time and bedtime and it was one of those. And I think she used that time
Starting point is 00:57:21 to strategically put her in the Oklahoma. It was when I went to watch the documentary, the Nathan Fielder one. My wife and I both went. and we had a friend that put Billy to bed. And my wife gave her the OU. That's what it was. I'm trying to remember how she snucked at, and we were both gone.
Starting point is 00:57:38 Yeah. I didn't like it very much. I need Arkansas just to be better. In the end, it's just going to come down to winning. That's true. Like, my kids are Cowboys fans, but, like, they're slowly just like that. Do we really want to do this? Whenever I brought Billy home from the hospital, my wife and I did, Arkansas won the
Starting point is 00:57:57 the SCE championship of basketball that day. Oh. We watched it. Look at the hat. And they hadn't won the SEC tournament in forever. She's like a little good luck, baby. You have to keep telling that story to her. You know, the day you were born.
Starting point is 00:58:11 And we didn't tell people when my wife was having the baby. We had done some shows way ahead of time. And we let the shows play. It was kind of a private deal. And we wanted to have the baby and just kind of announced it on our own terms. But how people knew that my wife, a lot of people knew my wife had had a baby was I posted pictures of me watching that SEC championship game from inside the house. So I was taking
Starting point is 00:58:33 pictures of the screen going, we won. And they were like, you're not there. For sure, you had the baby. That's how people knew. Because you would have been there. Yeah, especially because it was in town. I would have been there anyway, but it was in town and I wasn't there. Dead giveaway. Dead giveaway. The Bobby Bone Show theme song, written, produced,
