Episode Date: September 25, 2025

Bobby made a huge announcement yesterday! We got to hear all about it! He shared how his wife is doing. He talked about the captions and different photo ideas he had that were rejected on ho...w to announce their pregnancy. We all also got to ask him questions and listeners wanted to know if he plans on slowing down working. Lunchbox brought in how he gets no respect at his house after his wife made a huge decision without telling him. We played a game of ‘Forgotten Sounds’. Bobby plays a nostalgic sound that we don't use anymore, and the show has to name what it is.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Starting point is 00:02:40 you get your podcast. Welcome to Thursday show. Morning studio. Morning. A teenager is in custody after a multimillion dollar hack of a Las Vegas casino. Oh. This is, okay. You remember,
Starting point is 00:03:06 Remember when this happened? We were in Vegas. It's so bollar of a teenager. Yeah, I remember because they shut down. Our curtains broke. That's it. They wouldn't close. They shut the casino down.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Yeah. The alleged hack happened in 2023. The name of the group was Scattered Spider or Octotempist. Those are cool names. The teen is said to have used LinkedIn to impersonate an MGM grand employee and then called and basically got through on the phone. And he was given access to the system because he was like, yeah, I know, I'm Clark. Because he used LinkedIn.
Starting point is 00:03:36 in to know the information about Clark. Wow. Las Vegas Police Department said the incident cost multiple casino properties, hundreds of millions of dollars, and gave hackers access to internal systems. Now a mail teen could end up being charged as an adult. Was that last year?
Starting point is 00:03:48 2023. So, two years ago. Wow. S.F. Gate with that story. I don't know who he sold the information to or how he got in, but we all thought it was like Russian hackers. We did. Because it was so sophisticated and it shut down so many casinos.
Starting point is 00:04:03 And then once they got in there were threatening other cancinos. And one of the casinos, I think, ended up paying like ahead of time to not get hacked. And it all got in because somebody got information from a LinkedIn and called and said, yeah, I know Chuck. I am Chuck. Let me win. And it was dumb stuff.
Starting point is 00:04:15 I remember like the key card wouldn't work. And then it's like, sorry, we got hacked. Like, we can't fix that. Like, what? Yeah. Your curtains can't close. It shut down like four casinos. People are opening shared bank accounts with their friends.
Starting point is 00:04:30 That sounds like. What? That sounds like a lot of friendships that are possibly going to end soon because somebody is going be taking out a little too much money. But it's to like save up for something they want to do together, right? So sort of. Yeah, they talked about this one couple. They saved it for a thousand bucks for a future friendship anniversary trip. I got a feeling one of those friends, probably going to come into hard times, can take a little extra out, can't pay it back on time. We agreed not to do this. Fight amongst friends. Videos of the trend have gone viral. It's financial intimacy with your
Starting point is 00:05:01 friends. Can you imagine if I had a bank account with Eddie? No, I mean, any of us. Like, can you imagine we all had one and lunchbox had access? Set one up tomorrow. Yeah. Well, obviously, only Bobby would have access. Because you'd be putting in the most. No, we're not putting in it based on what we have. We have to put in evil.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Let me do it out of your mind. No, you do a percentage. No, we don't do a percentage. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's give him a shot. NBC News. I had Dave Ramsey on the Bobby cast that comes out next week and I asked him about marriages that don't do shared accounts.
Starting point is 00:05:31 And he was like, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If you don't do a shared account. he's like you're asking for your marriage to fail miserably. Who does that? Yeah, I don't know. Well, I share, my wife and I have all shared accounts. Same? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Yeah, we're shared. What about you guys? No. No. Not going to happen. Keep it all separate. Separate. That way there's no fighting over money.
Starting point is 00:05:52 No disagreements. But there's got to be occasional talks about money where it gets. Well, the disagreement is on who's going to pay for what then? That would be a disagreement. No, it's, hey, let's talk about it. What percentage should you pay? What percentage should I pay? But could you not do?
Starting point is 00:06:04 let's talk about it if you're in the same account. No, because then you're just going and grab money. Like, oh, she wants to go buy a new dress. She doesn't talk to me about it. Go spend your money, girl. Girl. What about when y'all, I get confused about this about. Like, what if y'all, what about when y'all go on a trip or...
Starting point is 00:06:19 That's good. Percentage. You pay percentages on vacations? Yeah. I don't know. What if it's like a, like a... I don't like it. Bath towels that you both use.
Starting point is 00:06:29 Like, who buys those? She'll pay more percentage because she wants them. I don't really care. So even on small purchases, you do percentages? Yeah. But now I'm saying the percentage might go up if you want it more than the other person. That's weird. That's where the fight comes down.
Starting point is 00:06:43 I'm happy with the bat towels we have. You want new bat towels. You pay more. Okay. I'll compromise, but. But that would be a fight. That's not a fight. That's just discussion.
Starting point is 00:06:55 It's called negotiation. What about during the season where she, I mean, I don't know her work situation right now, but I know there was a season where she wasn't working. She was on maternity. leave. Okay. And you can't touch her food. Like if she buys chips, you can't. Oh, no, no, no, food is groceries. We, we do that. We pay together. But is there a percentage? But it's not like, oh, you only pay 12% you can't have that yogurt. But is there a percentage on groceries? Yes. But what if you eat all the one thing that she likes? That's fine. Okay. The math isn't nothing on
Starting point is 00:07:25 that one. What do you mean? You don't own the groceries. They're for everybody. She paid a person. My kids don't pay for them and they get to eat them. Well, they're kids. They need you. Right. They're counting on you to buy their food. I know, but it's just like, I don't know how. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:39 You probably eat way more than she does, so hopefully you factor that in. Oh, good? Good? No what? Yeah. My kids probably eat more than she does. We don't factor that in. They can't pay.
Starting point is 00:07:52 They don't have jobs. They aren't allowed to work. They're children. You're right. That's a good point. Yeah. But if you eat more than her, Shouldn't you have to pay more than her?
Starting point is 00:08:01 No. Okay. Also, I mean, she carried the children and delivered them. Like, you should pay her for that. Do you? Did you compensate her for carrying your children? I allowed her to have the children. What?
Starting point is 00:08:11 Oh, boy. Oh, boy. She should pay you. I mean, she could have got pregnant without me. She could have. Yeah. She definitely could have. So, I mean, but Amy's saying she carried the babies.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Well, guess who provided those babies? Well, I'm like. You provided them? What are you talking about? Who wanted them more? I mean, without me. She wouldn't have been pregnant. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Yeah. It's interesting. And I don't hate it. He just talks about it. It's interesting to hear. I'll play that on this show once we put that out. If it works in your relationship. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Go for it. Like, it's weird to us. We give you a hard time. And I think it could probably work if we wanted to do that. My wife literally doesn't care. But I don't want to do that. You should try it. Don't knock it until you try it.
Starting point is 00:08:54 See, I think we, of course, like to give lunch folks a hard time. It's just funny to hear how he explains it. because I think if his wife were to share with us her perspective, because obviously she's cool with it. I think we'd be like, oh, okay, this makes sense. Because she would probably explain it in a different way. So he wouldn't take all the money? It's her idea.
Starting point is 00:09:10 Right. Want to have a baby and then they get pregnant. Oh my gosh. Congratulations. I don't even want to leave my name because I sound crazy. But it's Haley from Missouri. That's funny. Thank you, Haley.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Great call. Yes. So we finally got to announce yesterday that my wife is having a baby. I'm not going to be Mr. We're pregnant guy. We're going to have a baby. It's going to be our baby. But she's the one that's pregnant with it because she's the one that's been sick. That's good. Yeah. So, yeah, we're having a baby. And it's crazy and it's been the secret that's been the hardest to keep because it's been a long secret. And it's different than a normal secret. Like, I got secrets so deep in me that I'm never going to share from people. But this is a weird one because you know you're going to share it at some point. It's like when you got to use the bathroom really bad and the closer you get to the house, the more it starts hitting you. Yeah. It's like as we were getting close. her to being able to tell. I'm like, oh, I've got to tell somebody. So, yeah, we're having a baby. And she's having the baby, but we're going to have a baby. It's awesome. I think it's so good for you to say we're having a baby.
Starting point is 00:10:19 I know. I just have seen her go through it. Oh, yeah. And I feel guilt with going, because I ain't doing crap. Yeah, I think as long as you don't say, we're pregnant, you're right. So I can say we're having a baby. Yes, because that helps, you know, not that anybody would think you're not the dad, but you are having a baby. Dude, if you say, we're pregnant, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Well, Amy got me a book that was like, we're pregnant. Did you know that's what the book was called? Oh, well, that was more so for you to know the stages of the pregnancy for Caitlin. Hey, I've learned so much about pregnancy and stages. Oh, I bet. Yeah, it's been wild. So. Yeah, sorry, I should have crossed that out and been like, Caitlin's pregnant and here's what you need to learn.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Yeah, it's wild. You know, it'd be our first kid. and we're very excited about it, but it has been a bit because she's been very sick. Like, here's the thing. They might call it morning sickness, but they forgot to say
Starting point is 00:11:17 sometimes you're sick for 24 hours a day for two months total and you can't get out of bed. Yeah, I've often wondered why it's called morning sickness. Are you mourning your life? Yeah, like, are you just like morning getting pregnant?
Starting point is 00:11:31 Yeah. Because it's so painful. That's a good point. We had so many great messages. And you guys can call us as well if you want. 877-77 Bobby. Congratulations to you and your wife.
Starting point is 00:11:41 That's so awesome to hear. I've been a father for about three years now. It's quite the journey. It's amazing. Genuinely, I want to say congratulations to you and the misses. And good luck with a Bobby. It's the best thing you're ever going to do with your wife. Take care.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Thank you very much. We posted on Instagram yesterday about 3 o'clock. We really didn't have a time or a set plan. and my wife came down and was doing an interview with Clint Black. She came down and hung out a little bit. And she was like, let's just go out and post it. I think for her, it was good just to get it out there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Because, you know, we're in it now. I'm not going to say exactly where we are on the stage. And not going to reveal the gender or anything. So make it easier for me and don't ask. But I think she was just ready for it to be said. She was getting a lot of weird DM. So was I was like, your wife hasn't been on your social media. Are you guys getting divorced?
Starting point is 00:12:33 Oh, gosh. And like that, however that started, and no, she just, we went on vacation and we took her family on vacation, her mom and her dad and her sister and our brother-in-law. And she wasn't any of the pictures. And so people were like, you didn't have your wife any of your pictures. Are you guys going through a divorce? And I'm like, do you think if I were going through a divorce? We would take our family on vacation. Good point.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Yeah. So, yeah, we're going to do it. Well, I mean, we did it. But now we're going to do it. We're going to have a baby. I had a few other ideas for that caption on the pictures. that we posted yesterday. And we ended up just putting like a baby emoji in a heart.
Starting point is 00:13:10 And my wife and I, we collabed. But I had some ideas. Number one was we both were going to hold our shirts up and be like, one of us has got a baby in us. Oh, that's funny. Oh, that's good. Boom. Number two was going to be like, she let me do this to her.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Too much, dude. Too much. What's wrong with that? We don't need that. That's true. That's weird. Nope.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Funny though. Funny. Yeah. Huh. I don't like that one. What's next? Were those the two? Well, I had a few more, but if you don't like that one.
Starting point is 00:13:37 And she was like, we can do whatever you want, but I'd prefer not to make it, you know, a comedy act. And so we settled on the baby head and the heart. Yeah. I just remember when I texted you about it because Caitlin had told me and then I texted you like, oh my gosh, congratulations. And then you were like, what? Like you reply back your little comedy sketch. He goes, what? Caitlin's pregnant?
Starting point is 00:13:58 Oh, yeah. Another comment was she didn't like this one. I think it's mine. That's a good one. That's funny. That's funny. That's always a good one. Right. Like that's an old trusty.
Starting point is 00:14:10 That's an old trusty one there. It's always a bit. It's a bit. Yeah. It isn't, I'll tell you. This ain't a bit. I got a lot of great calls and texts. And I'm not a person when there's really good or bad news that calls anybody.
Starting point is 00:14:25 I'll text. But I really admire people who call. And I didn't want to really answer them because I feel awkward. I feel like they don't even want to talk They just feel like they have to call But I got a call from a couple people yesterday And they were like, just want to say I saw it And I gasped
Starting point is 00:14:38 And I don't know, I just called you And then I feel like they're on the phone Way too long with me Like they don't really want to be on the phone with me So I'm like trying to get off the call the whole time I'm like thank you I'll tell her and you know All right
Starting point is 00:14:49 It's just I'm bad on the phone Got the future baby Got an offer A scholarship at Purdue yesterday What? Already? Already? Wow
Starting point is 00:14:58 Wow. Wow. Yeah. I'm friends with coaching. showed him the football coach there and he was like hey whatever it is boy or girl scholarship offered to Purdue right now. Nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:06 And call me and let me know that. So. I mean, Caitlin's so athletic. Yeah. If it gets my wife's athleticism, it's on. Mm-hmm. Because she, her whole family, they are.
Starting point is 00:15:20 They're just gifted. They're superb athletes. Yeah. Yeah. So, that's what's up. How are you feeling? It's been, we've been in this for months at this point. It feels good to just finally.
Starting point is 00:15:30 reveal it. I think the way you put it of like when you have to go to the bathroom and the closer you get like the worst you just have to go like you just want to get it out it's got to feel so freeing. The other analogy is running on a treadmill like the closer you get to that
Starting point is 00:15:43 whatever mile mark you're like I can't do this much like you really start to go I don't know if I can do this much longer as you get closer to it but yeah it feels it feels great to say it and you know my initial pitch was to not even announce
Starting point is 00:15:56 there was a pregnancy just to have the baby exist. Whoa. It would just start showing up in pictures. And my wife was like, I don't think so. I have to hide for like nine months. And I'm like, yeah, but what a bit, huh? Then there would be all these things of like, who's the surrogate or where'd y'all get that baby?
Starting point is 00:16:15 Oh, major rumors. No, but we would have pictures to post. Where'd you get the baby? That's a funny one. Yeah. I mean, that's what I mean, I think like this baby just appears. But that's the bit. That's why it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:16:27 It's funny. Just an appearing baby. Yeah. So, yeah, it's awesome. I don't even know. I really have no idea. Are you scared? Not yet.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Yeah. She's been so sick. She was so sick for so long that it's mostly just like no time to think about anything else except trying to get her better. I don't know that scared maybe is the right word, but just like. No, that's the right word. Yeah. Nervous. That's the right word.
Starting point is 00:16:48 I remember being terrified. Nervous, scared. Yeah, you'll probably, as you get closer. I'm sure there will be anxiety that comes in. but I think the most anxious that I've been was like pre all of this. I just, I don't know, I was always scared. And I don't know. I think part of me was like, I'm never going to have a kid or I may not have a kid
Starting point is 00:17:09 and I'm okay with that because I didn't want to have a kid and be poor because I grew up as a poor kid with no resources. And so we don't have to worry about that. You know, that's a selfish thing. And there's going to be other hard things. But to me that was always the factor. Like I don't want to have to raise a kid like I grew up. And so we don't have to.
Starting point is 00:17:26 to. And again, if it weren't for her, I don't know that I would have ever had a kid. So, yeah, I don't really don't know how to talk about. I'm probably going to say a lot of things wrong because people get offended at everything when talking about people being pregnant and stuff. There was one comment yesterday. Let me read it here. And I didn't go into the comments purposefully and got a lot of them. And this comment was like, and again, I'm going to say a lot of stuff wrong. So if you're offended by what I say, I didn't mean to, but also kick rocks. Both, right? I apologize in advance if I say something that's offensive. And I don't mean to be offensive.
Starting point is 00:18:00 But this person wrote, glad you had success with IVF from a fellow IVFer. And I'm like, we didn't do IVF. And also there's nothing wrong with IVF. A lot of my friends have done it. But why would they assume that? Wow. No idea.
Starting point is 00:18:16 That's a weird one. Yeah. Did you comment back? I didn't comment. It was on the Bobby Bone show page. Well, I don't think your response was so you. No, I'm just saying over the next few months, I'm going to say stupid things. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Because I don't know enough about. this. Yeah. I feel like was that an example of just someone else saying something stupid? Oh, yeah, yeah. And then you might. Yeah, yeah. Well, I mean, whatever.
Starting point is 00:18:37 It's just someone making an assumption. But why would you even assume that? Oh, well, you know. Like what about, because she's 33? It's not like, you know, I don't know if there's, is there an age thing when people get older? Is it more of it? Because she's not older yet. She's not what's a geriatric pregnancy.
Starting point is 00:18:53 Weird word, by the way. So weird. Yeah. You should be like 80 and pregnant for that. That's super old. Definitely. coined to that. Yeah, you should be.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Yeah. So, yeah, we didn't do IVF, but if we did, who cares? Why would you even write that anyway if we did? You don't know that. You're just assuming something. Yeah. But that was the only thing that I saw. You know what assuming does.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Mm-hmm. I've heard. So I'll grab some calls. We'll take a little break. We'll come back. It's really nice to be able to say it and not hide it anymore. And I've been dropping little Easter eggs here and there if you guys have been paying attention. Like what?
Starting point is 00:19:27 Stroller talk. Oh, dude. It was all over. Stroller talk. You knew? Oh, so maybe I wasn't noticing it? Probably not. Because I'm like, well, sometimes we talk about stroll.
Starting point is 00:19:36 And you kept saying over and over, I know nothing about strollers. I don't know. I know nothing about strollers. It didn't occur to me. I don't know if that was an Easter egg. Now I'm curious, what were the eggs? So are you buying the Lamborghini stroller? I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:19:50 I still don't think so. No, no, no. Please don't. That was on the podcast yesterday if you guys want to go hear that. Okay, give us a second. We'll come back. My eyes. watering my cheeks or sore because I've been smiling so big since I saw your post about 15 minutes ago.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Congratulations, Buffy and Caitlin. I'm so happy. Bye. You're going to be a great dad, Bobby. Don't even sweat that. You are very present. You are intentional. And I feel like you're so intentional with your actions.
Starting point is 00:20:20 You're going to put forth the effort. You want to. Therefore, you will. So it's nerve-wracking. But really, you're going to do great. And I'm so excited for you guys on this. next part of future. Thanks. Thanks for all the calls. I hear, and you guys could validate this or not, that when you have a baby, you get way more sleep. Because I've been struggling with sleep for a long
Starting point is 00:20:41 time for years, but this is really going to help me sleep. Is there some accuracy to that? Yeah, goodness. Yeah, man. Yeah. Man, 100%. I'm really excited. Get ready. That's awesome. Dack in Oklahoma City is on the phone right now. Hey, Dak, you're on the phone, buddy. Dak. morning studio morning I've waited seven years to do that that's awesome Bobby I am calling first of all I have to say I'm a huge launchbox fan I love lunchbox go once box but also I am so excited because okay like you
Starting point is 00:21:13 release your books I don't remember when but I listen to both of them like five or six seven years ago and we have had such a similar path through life, like with everything you went through with your childhood and your mom and grandma and your dad and everything. Like, it's crazy. And I had my first kid, she's seven right now. So it was like seven, eight years ago. And it's awesome to be able to finally get the opportunity to relate to you on that level. Because every single time, there's a topic about kids, you have so much genuine clear insight on what it is to raise a kid without
Starting point is 00:22:06 ever having kids. And I genuinely think you're going to be one of the most awesome, amazing dad that's ever existed. I'll put that on my shirt. Oh, wow. Pretty good. Yeah, listen, I've been great at parenting without kids. It's been awesome. I've been so good at it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I understand. I know nothing. But I say that, too, but I know nothing. Well, you know what you don't want to be like.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Kind of. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, not there. That's what I don't want to be like. That's pretty much it. Yeah. That's good.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Some people don't even have that perspective because they take it for their parents. They're always present so they don't have that. I mean, maybe they will be present. Maybe they won't. But you know you definitely want to show up because you didn't have that. Thank you, Dak. I appreciate the call, man. Yeah, for real.
Starting point is 00:22:52 I'm going to use that. You know how a movie. they'll put like a quote and really quickly they'll not really put who it is like the greatest movie ever and it's like John in St. Claude Minnesota, random guy. Very small. I'm going to use that and put it up on a picture and be like, you're going to be the best because you already knew everything. Dak, Dak. Okay, Oklahoma City. Yeah, I think, and I know my wife did a great job because she's so aware of these things. She wanted to make sure that everybody, because we told our close circle, and then after a certain point
Starting point is 00:23:23 we told are semi are they're close but like not the people we see almost everyday circle and I think she had everybody covered I forgot to tell a couple people oh no so I got random text last night after we put the picture out they were like oh hey uh saw online you're having a baby thought we were in the circle and I was like yeah yeah yeah that's true it happens man I wrote a bunch of thanks man's back yeah that's the generic response thanks man I think I think I sent it to a couple ladies too. Thanks, man. I think they knew that was a copy and paste. So, yeah, I don't really know what else to say about it. It was good to be able to announce it. We're in it. That's all. Well, like, what else is there to say? Well, there will be more to say along the way.
Starting point is 00:24:10 Oh, yeah, lots of it. Yeah, I think I've said it all. I think I'm... That's it. So nothing until the baby comes out. I would love to know how you found out. Like, how did Caitlin tell you? Did you guys find out together? What was that process like? I need to check with her on what story I can tell, the actual real story. But yeah, we found it together at the same time. Okay. I didn't know if there was a big reveal or surprise or something. No, no, it was not a surprise.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Like we were like, okay, I think we're good to go. And so we were good to go and then it was good to go. It's pretty good. It doesn't always work out that way, so that's good. Yeah, you're right. It says that you were good to go. Yeah, whatever that means. Yeah, we're good to go.
Starting point is 00:24:47 I'll check out there and see what I can tell. It's as much her story, so I don't want to throw too much of it out there yet. but we found out yes at the same time. I did, because I'm 45 years old. I'm not 22, so I was a bit nervous. So I went and I called my doctor and I was like, I need to make sure my sperm's good. And he was like, all right.
Starting point is 00:25:10 So we did that. Basically LeBron. Okay. Wow. Is that what the doctor said? Yeah, when he walked out to give me the results, they were like, LeBron. Oh, sorry, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:25:20 Wow, one of the greatest of all time. How do you know LeBron's, I can just imagine, like one of the greatest athletes we've ever seen. He's great at basketball. Why not? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, they confuse me for LeBron. That's a little awkward other than that.
Starting point is 00:25:33 But, yeah. Let me grab another call. Let's see. Dave and Kentucky is on the phone. Dave, you're on. Hey, Bobby. Hey, Bob. Hey, Bob.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Hey, Bobby. Hey, Bobby. I just wanted to say congrats to y'all too on your baby. It is the greatest thing ever. Actually, I'm going to say the second greatest thing because I just had a grandbaby a couple years ago. So that may be the greatest thing, but either way, you know what I'm saying. Hey, I'm just curious if you plan on slowing down on work any time after the baby's born, or are you just going to keep going, you know, harder as can be to, you know, like you never did and just take your baby with you.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Good question. Why would I slow down? I got bills to pay. It's true. It's time to ramp it up. Yeah, they ain't cheap. You ain't seen nothing yet. Listen to Eddie talk.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Okay, but again, you wouldn't be very present. How could you ramp it up? I'll wear up a poose. Bring it with you? Yeah. Okay. Listen, Eddie scared me. He was like, you're going to be broke.
Starting point is 00:26:40 Yeah, it's true. It costs money. Well, Eddie has four. Yeah. And you're going to have one and also. It starts with one, Amy. Go ahead, Amy. It's just very different.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Yeah. I feel that as far as slowing down or speeding up, I haven't slowed down, but I've modified. Like, I'm on the road, almost none now. I say that I'm on the road two days next week. But I've taken a lot of the stuff and I have shifted a bit of priorities where I'm working at home a lot. Different podcast type of stuff. So I'll do what needs to be done.
Starting point is 00:27:12 That's a good way to put it. You're shifting. By the way, Eddie did not leak the sex of the baby. Nobody knows sex as the baby. Everybody online because Eddie just said something. And they're like, Eddie leaked the sex. It did not happen. Nobody knows sex as a baby.
Starting point is 00:27:22 I don't know what I said. It did not happen. Uh-oh. Eddie, what did you do? I don't think I did anything. I didn't. I said you a text. I was like, hey, this is what you said.
Starting point is 00:27:31 You need to say you don't even know. I don't even know. Yeah. Don't know anything. So Eddie did not, if he did, he doesn't even know. Nobody knows. Thank you for all the calls. Thank you for all the voicemails.
Starting point is 00:27:42 We'll talk more on the podcast. If you guys want to check that out, we'll do it after the show today. Just over on the Bobby Bone show feed. We've had a good show. And then we got to talk about this. On my Instagram at Mr. Bobby Bones. You can see the pictures that we posted.

Starting point is 00:28:53 follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations
Starting point is 00:29:09 about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they see all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%.
Starting point is 00:29:29 They believe everything. But at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.
Starting point is 00:29:48 Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
Starting point is 00:30:38 We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts. or wherever you get your podcasts. When you listen to podcasts about AI and tech and the future of humanity, the hosts always act like they know what they're talking about and they are experts at everything. Here, the Nick Dick and Poll show, we're not afraid to make mistakes. What Kugler did that I think was so unique.
Starting point is 00:31:10 He's the writer-director. Who do you think he is? I don't know. You mean the president? You think Canada has a president. You think China has a president. The Waltz Rousette. God, I love that thing.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I use it all the time. I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it at night. It's like the old Polish saying, not my monkeys, not my circus. Yep. It was a good one. I like that saying. It is an actual Polish saying.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Yeah. It is an actual Polish saying. Better version of Play Stupid Games, win stupid prizes. Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time. I actually thought it was.
Starting point is 00:31:46 I got that wrong. Listen to the Nick Dick and Paul show on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, I'm Bob Pittman, Chairman and CEO of IHard Media, and I'm kicking off a brand new season of my podcast, Math and Magic, stories from the Frontiers of Marketing. This season on Math and Magic, I'm talking to CEO of Liquid Death Mike Cesario, financier and public health advocate Mike Milken, take to interactive CEO Strauss-Zalnik. Starting point is 00:32:33 Sesame Street CEO Sherry Weston and her own chief business officer, Lisa Coffey. Making consumers see the value of the human voice and to have that guaranteed human promise behind it really makes it wise to the top. Listen to math and magic, stories from the frontiers of marketing on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. It's the anonymous and bars.
Starting point is 00:33:03 There's a question to be how. Oh, Bobby Bones. I tend to fall for guys romantically a bit too quickly. The few relationships I've been in have always been very intense. I've been known to drop the L bomb a little too early. I fall too hard and too fast. And then I'm devastated. Now, I want to develop steady relationships where I'm not the one who has head over hills while they're still deciding if they want to see me.
Starting point is 00:33:33 How do I do that? What's your advice on how to stop myself from being too interested when I really like a guy, signed the love bomber? Well, this is interesting because we have at least one of those on the show. We do. And so I think Abby is probably the person that we're referring to here. Abby would quick one of them. Yeah. Some would say there's a pattern.
Starting point is 00:33:57 There's been a pattern in the past. But she's in a happy relationship right now. Very happy. Hey, Abby, what would you recommend to this emailer who worries she may be falling too quickly? Oh, go ahead. Oh, no. I'm just saying, yeah, that's a thing. That can happen.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Just try to learn. What did you do? Did you do anything different with this last relationship? Yeah. Yeah. I totally changed my whole mindset. But also, in the past, guys have. they kind of lead you on a little and get you excited so your hopes are up and then they're crushed
Starting point is 00:34:29 with my current one like he didn't do that he followed through with everything he was the one kind of trying to chase me whereas i was the one and the other ones trying to get their attention and did you do anything different did you like uh pause at times uh-huh yeah you you consciously made the decision yeah because i before i was just like spilling my whole guts on the first date you know even though i kind of did on the same day same with my current but it worked out You said you changed your mindset, which I, yeah, maybe on the first date she spilled, but then she pulled back. Or maybe it's just that she found a guy that that style is compatible with.
Starting point is 00:35:05 Ooh, that could be it too. But yeah, no, I really did try to make a conscious effort to be like, okay, calm down. It's going to be okay. Don't like freak out, you know. Like if he's not calling, don't freak out. It's okay. You've heard that if you keep doing the same thing over and over again and you expect different results, that's insane. So I would think if it keeps happening the exact same way,
Starting point is 00:35:24 and you keep doing the exact same thing, you have to understand that's always going to happen like that. So you have to make a change in order to see change. And that's pretty difficult if it's not what you'd be drawn to do. And it's great that she already has this awareness herself. So she's already like one step in that direction
Starting point is 00:35:42 because some people aren't even aware they're doing that. Yeah, but Abby knew she was doing it. She couldn't stop. Yeah. I feel like she did a little bit. She would have to say pause. Do you think we're the ones that helped you? I do.
Starting point is 00:35:56 Yeah, you help me see it. And I think back and I'm like, oh my gosh, I was so cringy. Like in Vegas. I think it's a mixture of you knowing what's up, but also finding a guy that your style is compatible with. Because it's both. Because you're not going to totally change. Oh, and also I was honest with my boyfriend. I was like, hey, this is how I am.
Starting point is 00:36:16 I need you to be a little, you know, be aware of that. Be aware that I'm insane. And if you're good with that Beware that I'm going to fall for you fast and hard. I know we just met, but I love you. And as long as you're okay with that, and he's stuck around. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:33 So it's a mix. Like, understand what you're doing. You have good awareness already. There are times where you should just pause a bit when you want to go forward. And there are times you just have to understand that's who you are. You fundamentally can't change who you are.
Starting point is 00:36:44 And that's okay. You're probably a really awesome person. And you probably have that in other parts of your life where it makes you awesome to be around. That's my advice. we got Abby out of it. We can get you out of it. Yes.
Starting point is 00:36:55 All right, close it up. If I played this sound right here, that is? Busy signal. Yeah, busy signal. We talked about this because it was a forgotten sound, and a lot of people didn't know the sound. And I think maybe Morgan was like, I'm not sure I know what a busy signal sounds like.
Starting point is 00:37:12 Do you know what that is if you were to hear it again? Like, would you have known it? No, I mean, I would have thought like it's just a phone off the hook. Now, it was busy if you called a phone off the hook. Yeah. Yeah. That was a busy signal. So what I have here, I have seven sounds that are forgotten.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Write your answer down. Can you name the forgotten sound? If you miss it, you're out. Morgan, you play, you'll be out quick. Ready, number one. I'm in. I'm in for the win. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:37:47 All right. Can you name that sound, Amy? Typewriter. Lunchbox? Typewriter. Morgan? Typewriter. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:37:52 Typewriter. Good job. Name this forgotten sound. I'm in. I'm in. I'm in. I'm in for the win. Amy?
Starting point is 00:38:13 TV static. Lunchbox. TV static. Morgan? TV static. Eddie? TV static. Correct.
Starting point is 00:38:20 Oh, Morgan knew that one. I thought that was a power washer at first, honestly. It does. Kind of sound like a power washer, yeah. Next up. I'm in for the win. I'm in. Morgan is very confused right now.
Starting point is 00:38:46 Can you play it one more time? Okay. Morgan, what do you have? I think it's called a rotary phone. I have phone dial because I, I, I, I've, like picturing him doing it. I guess I just don't know what it's called. Amy?
Starting point is 00:39:08 A rotary dial phone. Lunchbox? Rotary phone. Eddie? A rotary dial phone. You're all correct. Good job. Yeah, that's the thing where you put your finger in the hole.
Starting point is 00:39:16 And if the hole was on one, you moved it that far. So cool. Took forever. It did take forever. And if you messed up, you had to start all the way over. Terrible. Next up, it's a hard one. Can you name that forgotten sound?
Starting point is 00:39:40 We're going to play it one more time. I'm in for the win. I don't feel good. I'm in. Amy. That's a VCR, the VHS tape going in and out or something. Lunchbox? I think any of my bride.
Starting point is 00:40:11 I put fax machine. Morgan? I had VHS. Eddie? I think they're right, but I put copy machine. It is a VCR VHS tape. Lunchbox and Eddie are out. Morgan's in.
Starting point is 00:40:24 It makes no sense. That's tough. Here we go. Three more. Hit it. Wow. Name that forgotten sound. What? Maybe one more time?
Starting point is 00:41:02 No. Oh, okay. You need an answer, guys. I guess I'm in... Five seconds. All right, time. Amy? Photocopy? Morgan? A Nerf gun? No.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Do you know it? Is that a flash bulb? It is. It's a camera flash charging and clicking. Because used to you'd have a camera and that you'd even put on a little flash on top of the camera. Yes. I guess I didn't realize it took that long to get a photo. Imagine if you had to rotary call somebody. to come over to do one of those.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Okay, we're at Sudden Death, then Speed Round. I'm going to play a sound. You guys buzz in with your name. Morgan or Amy, first one to get it wins. Here we go. Morgan. Morgan? Duke Box? Incorrect. Good guess.
Starting point is 00:41:49 Amy, you can keep listening to it. Well, I mean, where you're putting the change, but I'm, I don't know how specific I need to be, but like a pay phone. Correct, a pay phone. Wow. That's her thing. How about Morgan being over 10 years younger than you guys and being me? Not bad.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Can you guys just not here? We just spaced out, dude. That's it. Yeah, but it sounds all like a fax machine. Elapsing game playing. Amy, congratulations. Thank you. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:42:21 With producer Eddie. Yeah, I'll make something good. Mike Brown is a CPR instructor and his wife one day goes, hey, let's go to T.J. Max with me. I want to go shopping. He goes, I don't really want to go. She said, no, come on. Please, it'll be fun. Come with me. Luckily, he went because while they were shopping at T.J. Max, some guy, 27-year-old, collapses on the floor, goes under cardiac arrest.
Starting point is 00:42:45 And guess what? there. He's a CPR instructor. He goes up there, does CPR. Man, he does it for a long time. Almost thinks he's not going to make it. He finally comes back. Paramedics come. And the guy, he's saved. I saw a story where a guy went into cardiac arrest. They were like walking on a sidewalk. And it was like 12 feet from the front door of a cardiologist. Oh, that's good. That's a good place. Unless they didn't know he was out there. Well, they, no, they didn't until they ran into the door and knock. And it was during business hours. So they ran out and saved him.
Starting point is 00:43:17 That's amazing. You go down right by a cardiologist's office. That's crazy. All right you go. Good story. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. This woman's telling the story of her husband who went on a golf trip, a guy's trip for seven days and never called while he was gone.
Starting point is 00:43:33 Would that be weird if you guys were gone for like three or four days and never called your wives? Yeah. Yeah. That'd be weird, right? That'd be in trouble. About a week ago, this lady on TikTok posted a video and she was worried. it. And she said, when your husband hasn't called in seven days, and he's on a guy's trip, and you have anxiety. So people start freaking out in the comments, saying he was cheating,
Starting point is 00:43:53 et cetera. She posted a video update. Here you go. So before my husband left, we had discussed that he wouldn't get Wi-Fi because he works through his phone and he just did not want to be disturbed during his vacation, which I was totally fine with. We never discussed phone calls. We just knew he wasn't going to have Wi-Fi. So it was my expectation that he would call when he was in poor. I was having a little anxiety about him not calling. I figured he would turn his phone on and call me on the porch. And that's just what I was expecting. He is home.
Starting point is 00:44:24 We are not getting a divorce over him not calling me for seven days. Now, if he was a crappy husband all the other time, it might be on the table. But I'm not divorcing my husband over this. He cheated. No. He's lying 100%. Yeah. But if you're trying to.
Starting point is 00:44:40 He cheated. Seven days, Amy. And also it's like, I'm not going to get Wi-Fi. Yeah, okay. Why would you draw attention by not calling? Wouldn't he call to act normal? But I think he set it up ahead of time to where he wouldn't have to call. Like, I'm not going to get Wi-Fi because I'm on my phone too much.
Starting point is 00:44:57 Oh. I understand one to have separate from work, though. Yep. Seven days is way too much. But you can separate from work while even having Wi-Fi. You just don't work. Just don't answer the emails. I mean, seven days is a long time.
Starting point is 00:45:09 But like when we were in Vegas, I didn't call my wife. I texted. Yeah, but you're talking about two days. That's what I mean. You still texted. So that's communication. Communication. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:17 No, he's up to something. I don't know them. I have no idea what's going on. If you were just to present those facts to me, without me feeling personal about it because I watch the video, I'd be like, yeah, that dude's up to something. I don't know what it is, but their excuses up front. He also never called or texted, and now he's back.
Starting point is 00:45:33 The sums up. But say he's not cheating. Then that's still like suspect why he's not calling her at all for seven days. Unless he's cheating with a dude. Oh, my goodness. Oh, golf trip dude. What? Brokeback Mountain.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Oh. I mean, he's with the dudes. And they're in the mountains or like wherever. Yeah, no Wi-Fi. So something's up. I don't know what's up. Something's up in that story. You don't think so, huh?
Starting point is 00:45:54 Well, because I feel like if something was up, he'd try to act normal and just call. How hard it is, how hard is it to step away and call? Unless you want that to be your argument. Oh. And you hide them plain sides. You do the opposite of the opposite. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:46:07 This is next level. Guys in the room, do you think something's up? 100%. Yeah, look. Okay, what's the percentage? Do you say 100? 100. I don't know if he's cheating.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Something's up, though. Like, even if he didn't want to call his wife for seven days, that something is up. Right. Like, why aren't you curious? Maybe he just hates her and doesn't want to be there. Yeah. I'm going to go, 75% chance something's up. 54% chance is cheating.
Starting point is 00:46:31 54. Above 50. More than half. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lush bikes. 62%. I mean, it just seems a little weird, but maybe he thought, hey, we communicated. I'm not going to turn my phone on, so since we already talked about it, I don't need to turn it on.
Starting point is 00:46:47 Also, I want to talk to my wife within seven days. Yeah. There's just that element of it, not even to check in, but it's like, I would like talk to my wife to see what's going on. Like, I want to know how she's doing. If anything news happened, anything, like, share some funds. That's weird to me, too, that there wasn't, like, the express desire to, like, talk to your partner. Unless he was, like, going away to, like, work on himself and you have to, like, detach from everything. But then say that.
Starting point is 00:47:10 Yeah, and that wasn't the case. That was, like, a buddy guy. Maybe you'd have to be like at a treatment center and they take your phone away. You know, like there's a blackout period. Yeah. I don't believe it. I'm glad you shared it because it gave us some entertainment I'm going to talk about. One of the winners of that jackpot, a $1.7 billion jackpot,
Starting point is 00:47:30 describes himself as a home body and we'll take a $410 million lump sum. Oh my gosh. Now, two people won. So, yeah, he gets half a billion basically for being one of the, the two. He's like, yeah, I don't really leave the house that much. Well, now he's really not going to need to leave the house. Yeah, or he leaves the house all the time. It's one of two ways. But yeah, he went to the Jefferson City, Missouri office and was like, here's the ticket.
Starting point is 00:47:54 Oh, so he's the Missouri winner. The other one was Texas, I think. Yeah, he picked a lucky ticket for the record shattering, September 6th drawing. Yeah, after the lump, it's 410. He says he intends to focus on himself this year. Yeah, that's a lot of focus. And you have the luxury to do just that. That's from the New York Post. But really, it'd be amazing to win that.
Starting point is 00:48:15 So for sure, for sure. Yeah, that's it, period. That's it. There's no butt. No, I want to add. It would be amazing. I'm not even doing a butt. However, can you imagine everybody you know if they knew they would be hitting you up for free money all the time?
Starting point is 00:48:31 You have all this money. Can I have money? Can I have money? That's all your life would be is people asking you for money. And you now wondering if they were only there because they wanted your money, that would suck. Here's the question. Do you think you can remain anonymous? I think you would find out.
Starting point is 00:48:48 Even if I didn't announce it, my cars would get nicer. All of a sudden, the fountain is gold. All of a sudden? Yeah, I mean, it's just a much of random stuff is happening now that wasn't happening. So they're going to think something.
Starting point is 00:49:02 But also, they know that it's from Missouri. Eventually, people are going to find out. Because I was thinking, like, if I would have won it and I didn't show up to work, and the winner was in Tennessee, you guys would have been like 100% Eddie won the lottery.
Starting point is 00:49:15 No, I wouldn't unless you bought a big house. At first I would think you were sick. Yeah. And I would think the kids were sick. But you can't get a hold of me. He got a flat tire. Eddie, I think there were 84 things we think before you just won the lottery.
Starting point is 00:49:27 The next one is, now this one isn't as significant financially. But this woman Carrie Edward, she is the widow and grandmother who won $150,000 in the Powerball lottery. Now it wasn't that she got all the numbers. She got like five of them or something. And she just asked Chat,
Starting point is 00:49:40 GPT, to give her numbers. They did and it won. Stop. She said, I played online for the first time. I went to the AI chat bot on ChatGPT and I said, hey, tell me about this $1.7 billion. Do you have any numbers for me? And then she matched for the first five numbers plus the powerball.
Starting point is 00:49:58 She won $150,000 because ChatGPT gave her the numbers. And then she donated all the money. Why would she do that? Donated it. She donated her entire winning to three charities. What? The Association for Fronto Temporated. Degeneration
Starting point is 00:50:12 Shalom Farms and the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society. So use chat, GBT, and one crazy, donated it all. Abnormal. Not going to say crazy.
Starting point is 00:50:25 Well, I wonder what word you would use for that. Bizarre. You think it's bizarre to donate it all? Yes. Like, you just want a lot of money. Like, this is, you can give it all away.
Starting point is 00:50:34 I understand giving some of it away. All of it? One might use the word generous. Me too. Generous is half. like, you know, a percentage.
Starting point is 00:50:42 It's crazy. What's the point of playing if you're just going to give it all the way? I think the point of playing is entertainment, and then the point of playing when you win is to help out because the fronto temporal degeneration is a memory of her firefighter husband who died from the disease. Shalom Farms is to fight food insecurity and the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society to help military family.
Starting point is 00:51:01 So I think she has a giving heart. She's like, I came across this for a reason. My reason is going to be to get back. I don't think that I would give it all back. I'm not going to lie to you. Maybe she's rich already. She's a widow and a grandmother. Maybe she's a rich widow.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Yeah, what about her grandkids? Yeah, maybe her dying husband. Well, you guys are angry about this. Hey, you think we can ask your assistant for some numbers? I can try. She'll be like, but if I do it. And it's outwardly, everybody's going to get out. Let's not do that.
Starting point is 00:51:31 That's fine. We can do it. Let me ask my assistant. Hello and good morning. We are talking about a news story where chat GPT, picked lottery numbers and the person won, would you mind giving me some powerball numbers? Well, and good morning. That's definitely quite a fun story to hear about, though I'll note that it's all just luck at the end of the day. But sure, I can toss out a few random numbers for you.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Let's say 512, 23, 37, 42, and number ball 19. Just remember it's all in good fun and definitely not a guarantee of any winnings. 5, 12, 23, 37, 42, and 19. This is amazing. Hey, Scoob and Steve, Will you be in charge of getting the tickets if we give you money? Yeah, I'm down for I can get it. Okay. Well, you don't want me to do it? No. No, Amy.
Starting point is 00:52:15 We've now moved to the third person. At first it was lunchbox. Now, then it was Amy. Now it's Scoo Steve. Yeah, but with me, you did win. No, I didn't win the lottery. I got my money back plus because you messed up and gave me a penalty fee. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:31 So you want. Okay, we'll play the numbers. And we invite all the listeners to play the number. It'll be the first powerball split by 193 people. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clivert Taylor the 4th.
Starting point is 00:52:46 You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw,

I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
Starting point is 00:54:02 We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable. until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month,
Starting point is 00:54:46 and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
Starting point is 00:55:01 If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything, but at first it was just like, You got to go get a real job.
Starting point is 00:55:13 There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, I'm Bob Pittman, chairman and CEO of IHeartMedia.

Sesame Street CEO Sherry Weston and our own chief business officer, Lisa Coffey. Starting point is 00:56:32 Listen to math and magic, stories from the frontiers of marketing on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you could try. Podcast. When you listen to podcasts about AI and tech and the future of humanity, the hosts always act like they know what they're talking about and they are experts at everything. Here, the Nick Dick and Poll Show, we're not afraid to make mistakes. What Cougler did that I think was so unique. He's the writer-director. Who do you think he is? I don't know. You mean the president? You think Canada has a president. You think China has a president. Does a law a russet. God, I love that thing. I use it all the time. I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it at life. It's like the old Polish saying, not my monkeys, not my circus.
Starting point is 00:57:19 Yep. It was a good one. I like that saying. It is an actual Polish saying. Yeah. It is an actual Polish saying. Better version of Play Stupid Games, win stupid prizes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time. I actually, I thought it was. I got that wrong. Listen to the Nick, Dick and Paul show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Lunchbox says he gets no respect at his own house. What happened? I came home for work the other day, and my wife is sitting on the front porch, having a glass of wine with her sister. Why is that not respectful towards you?
Starting point is 00:57:54 I had no idea her sister was coming to town. Oh, she doesn't live here? No, she lives in Austin. Was she just stopping by for an hour or so? No, she was just decided to, I guess, come and visit for a couple days. And my wife didn't even mention it. Did your wife know she was coming? Was it a surprise?
Starting point is 00:58:09 I know my wife knew. Apparently, as I later found out, I confronted her. And not really confronted, like, I'm angry, kind of like, hey, what's going on? Here is audio of lunchbox confronting his wife. I'm very confused on your sister's here. Yeah, am I cool? She booked a last minute fight yesterday and decided to be here today. But yeah, like, hey, there's this thing.
Starting point is 00:58:35 I live with you. You could have been like, hey, just heads up. My sister's coming. or a text message. Like, hey, my sister decided on book flights, but just I come home and you guys are drinking wine on the porch. Well, yeah, it was a fun spur of the moment, dang. I just, I was like, it was a little disrespectful.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Oh, sorry. Okay. It won't happen again, don't worry. Oh, let's go make out. Nope. Dang. She is laughed at you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Yeah, she is not phased by you at all. She just thinks it's funny. She's like, but it's so cool that it was a last minute's, spur of the moment. And you're like, don't let it happen again. She's like, ha-ha, okay. Okay. We heard, rumor was, because we went to Vegas for our IHeart festival last weekend, we heard that she didn't go because you didn't want to pay your in-laws to come back. That's correct. Yeah. So she was at home. She was going to come. She was going to come, but I didn't want to pay them the in-laws. And so she had to take care of the kids. And so she was there
Starting point is 00:59:33 with them all weekend. And maybe that's why she thought it was okay for sister to just drop in. I don't know, but yeah. Wait, clarify I paid the in-laws, what do you mean, like, for their flight? But you're, because you're certainly not paying them. Yes. Remember the whole story? You don't remember? Were you gone? Are we drunk? She might have been sick. No. What, what are those two options?
Starting point is 00:59:52 Gone or drunk? Doesn't he like to? Well, she was gone. Because she was gone the whole week we got back from vacation. Yeah. Okay, so you weren't drunk. I gave gone an option. Hang, gone was an option. Gone was an option. So. Okay, thanks. Yeah. So you weren't drunk. Correct. Okay, good. Thank goodness. So the story was when lunchbox and his wife went on vacation, the in-laws came in to watch the kids.
Starting point is 01:00:15 And when they were taking him to the airport, his wife took him to the airport and dropped him off. She came back and told him, hey, we should give him $500. And he's like, for what? And we all agreed that was kind of a weird to ask. But it was, if you don't, they probably won't be so available the next time. Because they didn't pay for their flights or anything. But that's what happened. Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:35 Yeah. And so that is why she's. didn't go to Vegas. Right. And so she was at home and now my sister-in-law's here. But don't you like that she's here? She can help watch the kids. I mean, she's really nice. I mean, she's good with the kids, but it just was a little bit of a like, oh, hello. Like, I didn't seem very excited to see her because I didn't know she was going to be there. Better than the last time you caught your wife drinking wine on the porch. Some random dude. Yeah, that was wine and cheese and crackers.
Starting point is 01:01:02 With some random guy. I haven't seen him. Well, he is probably not a picture more. They probably drank wine somewhere else. after you came home, it's kind of awkward. They can't do that anymore. I don't know. So how's this going to end? Well, she'll be here for a couple days and then she'll fly out and hopefully we won't see her for a little bit.
Starting point is 01:01:18 Not like in a bad way. You'd think your wife's going to ever do this again? Probably not. Should these text me? Would you do this if you had a friend coming in? Good question. You know, that's what I should do. I should just have someone drop in.
Starting point is 01:01:29 That's not the question. It's not retaliation. You should do that, though. No, I don't really have friends that can just fly in on a whim. everybody I know, they've got a plan way in advance. But you think now she will check with you. Yeah. Because.
Starting point is 01:01:44 Disrespect. Yeah. And you run the house. Right. And there's a pair of pants and you. Wear them. Right. 100%.
Starting point is 01:01:51 I didn't hear that in the clip. At all. But we'll respect it to. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell Miss Bomb. In a tiny fishing village in Canada, St. Paul's River, Quebec. 14 neighbors.
Starting point is 01:02:07 They always do the lottery together. They hit it. $15 million. Wow. That's amazing. The group have been playing a lottery together for 18 years. Wow. They're local carpenters, they're fishermen, they're rich.
Starting point is 01:02:23 That is so cool. They each get about $4 million each. That's awesome from CBC News. See, just don't give up. Just keep doing it. Yeah, I mean, that was definitely worth the weight. That's what we learned here. It was worth the weight.
Starting point is 01:02:38 If you could guarantee it would happen at some. point. Oh, I would never go up. But you can't guarantee a lottery win because one loss has no effect on the next game. If it were something you could lose at and learn, like, oh, I can get better at this because I didn't win this time. I would say, yeah, keep going. But I don't say that with the lottery unless you're just doing it for entertainment only. Because you don't learn anything from losses. It's not like you get smarter at the lottery. If you play a playoff game in the NFL and you lose, you probably learned a lot of things. Makes it better the next time. You're a little more comfortable, you understand.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Lottery, not the same. So, yeah, give up. You know, I'm going to change it up. Give up. That's what I say. But this is a great story. Change that town's life. That's awesome. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:03:23 And the morning, and you turn the radio on, and the dial just keeps on turn. Fox Morgan 2. School of Steve Redd ever trying to put you through. Mike D's writing his week's next bit. And Bobby's on the mic so you know what this. This is the Bobby Vaughn store. Now time for the investigative morning corny.
Starting point is 01:03:59 The morning corny. What sound does a bouncing airplane make? Vroom. Boom. Boom. Bouncing. Bouncing. Boing.
Starting point is 01:04:10 Boing, bowing. Boeing. Yeah. Boing Boing Boing. What kind of shoes do plumbers love? Onber Snitchers Squeakers

Starting point is 01:04:38 Something there Okay what happens To his toilet What happens It's flush It clogs It clogs It clogs
Starting point is 01:04:45 It's clugs It's clugs It's clugs Mm-hmm Where do hamsters go on vacation. Wheel. Ferris wheel.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Two. Wheel around the world. Amster wheel. Gerbil. Gerbilly. Is it a town? Hamster? Where do hamsters like to go on vacation?
Starting point is 01:05:08 Since when have you been able to ask me questions? I'm just talking about. If I were to answer you, you'd get mad. What is a hamster wheel? I'm talking to my team over here. A wheeler. Wheel? Wheel.
Starting point is 01:05:19 Is it like... It's got to be a city. Even old New York was... Hamsterdam. Hamster, New Hampshire. That's it. Is it New Hampshire? Oh, we go.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Good job. Why did the librarian get kicked off the plane? Oh, man. Why? They were overbooked. Oh, that's good. How do we get? You got three.
Starting point is 01:05:42 You got all three that you heard. That's solid. I said the librarian one and the buzzer went off. Okay, we'll take it. Lobby Bones show. This story of the day. This story comes us from Akron, Ohio. A school administrator has been put on leave
Starting point is 01:05:58 after he sold all the district's lawnmowers on Facebook Marketplace. Were they not looking to sell them? No, they weren't looking to sell them. Someone went to go get a mower out of the shed and there were no mowers. What was the habit he was trying to support? Well, he says that he was doing it
Starting point is 01:06:15 so he could buy the district new mowers. Well, that's what I thought at first, like sell them all. you have seven old ones buy three new ones but was that not the case? Well he says that's what he was going to do with it but there was no plan in the budget there was no talk of it.
Starting point is 01:06:27 He just went and got him out of the shed, sold him on Facebook marketplace. Yeah, that should be in writing, bud. And there was no new mowers. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Amy, what do you have?
Starting point is 01:06:38 A listener sent me an email about something I said about my kids and I just wanted y'all's thoughts on it because I'm open to feedback. What did you say about your kids? Well, I was talking about some of their accomplishments and the subject of the email is why is Amy not able to be fully excited for her children's accomplishments? That's a long subject.
Starting point is 01:06:57 I think the subject would be no subject and I just put it all in the body. That's a lot. The subject was that with a question mark. So then I go to the body of the email and it's Stevenson ranking in state for track is amazing. Congratulations to him. Why did Amy muddy the news by talking about other kids and other teams being faster than Stevenson? Let him shine. Your daughter also has an amazing entrepreneurial spirit, but you talk about the negative when it comes to your kids.
Starting point is 01:07:23 Why? Please that your children shine without the negative comments. Amy talks more positively about her ex-husband, her new boyfriend, and his children. Please lift up your own kids, especially on the big show. Thank you. How did that make you feel? Worried that I've come across that I don't let my children shine. Am I coming across as negative at times? And do I need to... work on how I speak about them. I'm very excited for my son and his running, like, so excited. And I love my daughter's entrepreneurial spirit. I also may have sometimes negative things to say. I can't think of any right now.
Starting point is 01:08:02 But I don't know when I was talking about him being 12th in the state for running. Did I come across as negative in any way? I remember you being like, oh, there are people faster than him. I think maybe you just didn't want to over, make it feel like you're overly gassing him up in case somebody else. He goes, oh, no, that's nothing. Somebody else beat him. I don't know. I think you're just protecting him. Yeah, I don't. I think your language was protecting language, but I can see why she would say that. Okay. Because, again, I'm open to feedback. And also, if you're bragging on them, it feels like you're bragging on yourself. And I don't think you wanted
Starting point is 01:08:31 to do that. Oh, I have nothing to do with his running. No, I know, but I think you're his parent. I think that could be a thing. And you don't mean to do it, but you're like, I don't want to brag too much because it seems like I'm bragging because I'm his parent. Okay. I have no idea. I did not know, I was sort of taken aback by the email. That's why I wanted to share it because I was like, oh, is this how it's being received when I'm saying it? Because it's certainly not my intent to ever not let my kids shine. I think you let your kids shine in a wonderful way.
Starting point is 01:08:56 Okay. But I think you're protecting them and or you seeming extra braggy. Guess what I ordered for state, the state cross-country meat? What? What are those big heads called when you print out their head and carry around? Big heads. No, but something like that. Fat heads. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:13 Fat heads. I ordered, I got Stevenson's head, like picked out a picture of him and got three big fatheads so we can be spread out around the course. And, you know, like he'll look up and see himself and maybe that'll give him an extra little adrenaline push. He's confused and falls down. It's like, what? No, but imagine having that and like screaming his name. I just placed the order yesterday. I had to do a rush order. Hopefully they come in time. That's cool. I don't think you have to worry about anything. You were doing it from a good place. And I think she just perceived. received something different. Her perception of what you were saying is different than what I did, because I know you. Yeah, I know. And there are times people will message us to be like, why do you guys treat each other so bad? It's like, you know why? Because we know each other. And we have for 20 years. So we're able to like go at each other in a different way. I think it was probably that. Yeah. But thank you for the note. And I will make sure to lift them up.
Starting point is 01:10:04 Are you really, are you really thinking them? Well, I, the fact that somebody is listening, if they take the time to send us a note. I get that, but I'm saying. And they're listening? I don't feel that way because some people just send me hate messages and I'm not like you know what? The fact they were listening and sent me this DM, this four paragraphs long about how much I suck I don't think that way all the time. I guess to be fair I don't think this is a mean, hateful email.
Starting point is 01:10:25 They just received whatever I was saying in this way. So yes, thank you for delivering your feedback kindly. I don't think they were saying anything awful about me. They were just encouraging me to lift up my kids. I don't know if that's the truth. It was more of a passive aggressive way to get asked. Please lift up your own kids. I mean the part about that I
Starting point is 01:10:43 talk more positively about my ex and my new boyfriend and his children? That's what I'm saying. I don't feel like that was just a loving message. Little dig. Little dig.
