I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
Starting point is 00:02:33 We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. Listen to a slight change of plans on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcast. or wherever you get your podcasts. Come on, Bobby. Transmitting. Welcome to Thursday show. Morning studio.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Morning. I challenged Eddie and offered $500 if he could eat 70 hot dogs with bun in 24 hours. Not in 10 minutes. That's what Joey Chestnut did. He's the greatest of all time. But 70 in 24 hours. We did the math. Over 24 hours, it's less than three an hour.
Starting point is 00:03:30 But he is going to. sleep, so then it becomes almost for an hour. Correct. We start breaking it down. I don't know how you want to do it. 500 bucks, 24 hours. What's your answer? And then, and then, Amy,
Starting point is 00:03:44 60. Oh, that's right. Oh, that's right, $600. So, I mean, that. Okay, everybody has something to say. Everybody's itching. Thank you, Amy, for saying that. Lunchbox, you go.
Starting point is 00:03:50 I'm so confident in Eddie not being able to do it. I'm the tightest tightwad you've ever met. That's true. Fair. I'll throw 100. Yes. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Wow. Because there's no way. There's no way. I want him to do it. $700. You know it's a whole day, right? Lunchbox's like all day. So now you think you can do it.
Starting point is 00:04:11 I mean, I've been thinking about it. What did your wife say? She said, don't do that. Oh, don't do that? She said, why do you do? How did you present it, though? I said, do you think I can eat 70 hot dogs in 24 hours? And she goes, don't.
Starting point is 00:04:22 What if you would have said, hey, how would you like an extra $700? Instead of? Well, I didn't know the 700. I did tell her the six. And she goes, no, no, it's not the point. Like, that won't even cover your medical bills. Medical bills? I can explode.
Starting point is 00:04:37 70 hot dogs in my stomach could make me explode. They're not going to be in their one time. You're going to go to the bathroom. And you're going to walk while you do it. You're burning calories. I have questions. You're not cliff diving, bro. You're eating 70 hot dogs.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Maybe you even do some squats. Some sit-ups. Yes. Now, if I throw up, like just. You can't throw up. No. It's a food challenge. You can't throw up.
Starting point is 00:05:00 How can I control that? If you throw up, you're out. What have I eat the, no, I can't do that. Eat to throw up? Oh, okay. You're back in. You're back in. Because like that just sounds impossible.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Like, I feel like if I have all of this hot dog in my stomach, it'll be natural to just my body try to get rid of it. I think it will be difficult, but for $700 it shouldn't be easy. Now. Ramundo, would you queue up the announcement music because I'm going to ask for it in just a minute. Eddie, go ahead. What are your questions? What are your concerns?
Starting point is 00:05:29 I have a question. When we talked about this the first time, Ray even said, I'll bet against you. $100. But that was a bet against you. We're not doing that. Come on, Ray. I mean, I'm just saying anyone... You have to pay money if you lose. That's what a bet is. Yeah, but they don't have to pay if I don't finish. That's a win for them too. And it encourages me to even do it more. So you want a penalty? This is the dumbest negotiation I've ever heard. There's no penalty. You just said I want a bet. So if you don't do it, you have to be. He said, I'll bet against Eddie. That's not a bet. That's just what Lunchbox is doing, putting money in. Ray, do you want to put money into?
Starting point is 00:06:06 Yeah, as a bet against you. Yeah, see, then I would have to pay $100. That's stupid. That's what a bet is. Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm not doing that. But if anyone wants to put more money. You know, you gamble a lot, you hide it from your wife, you know?
Starting point is 00:06:16 That's not true. You were trying to negotiate that bet into the deal, I felt like right there. So what are we talking? $700. $700. $70 hot dogs. I love the $7. $100 for $10.
Starting point is 00:06:26 dogs. You know, I see Morgan's shaking her head. It looks like she wants to put it under her news. Morgan, do you want to go in? No. You don't get any money, though, if you don't do 70. No, I realize that. No, I don't know what you realize.
Starting point is 00:06:36 You just try to call it a bet not a bet. Gosh, man. You know what I was thinking last night? Ray, hear the music. What were you thinking last night? I had a salad last night with chicken and broccoli, and I was full. Yeah. Like, how am I going to eat 70 hot dogs?
Starting point is 00:06:50 Well, you don't have to. 24 hours. I feel like I have to give it this. a shot. But if you do 20, if I pay for 70 high dogs, which is not coming out of the money, and you eat 20? That's the risk you take, man. I'm taking the risk.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Yeah, we can maybe pass them out. The drum roll's not that long. No, this is the short drum roll ever. Like, I should have given five. Like, they're not going to go to waste. Will you take the challenge of 70 hot dogs in 24 hours? Eddie.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Is your answer? Yes. I need to do this for my family and everyone that doubted me. including everyone in the room. That's on the lawn right there. I take the challenge! He's in, let's go. Give me the hot dogs! $700.
Starting point is 00:07:41 In my mouth! For 70 hot dogs. 24 hours. 24 hours. How are we going to do this? We're going to sit here for 24 hours and watch him eat? Well, no, because he's going to sleep eight. He's got to sleep eight.
Starting point is 00:07:53 So we'll sit here for 16 hours. Do you want to watch me sleep? We do, actually. We'll have to figure out how we're going to do it. Remember when... We'll have to stream a lot of. of it live. We'll stream it on our YouTube channel at Bobby Bone Show. Ray line danced for 24 hours and he had people watching him the entire time.
Starting point is 00:08:09 He was also doing a movement the whole time. What was his movement? The line dance. Where Eddie's not going to be doing something for most of the time. I know, but we can't have him like sneaking some hot dogs in the trash. Whoa, why do you think I'm cheating? Yeah, we have to watch them eat every hot dog. Okay, we'll figure all that out.
Starting point is 00:08:23 How are you going to watch me eat all the hot dogs? Because you're going to stream every hot dog alive. Everyone? Yeah. Every one. Yeah, with a counter. One. Whoa. Two. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:32 So we'll figure it out. We'll do it in the next few weeks. Okay. So you have time to start working. How am I going to train for this? Start eating. At Bobby Bone Show. And we'll do, because again, I know you're worried about the calories, every fifth will be in a possible hot dog.
Starting point is 00:08:45 Yeah. Good. So you'll not know the difference in taste. Nah, I won't. And it'll be a little less like red meat. Are you going to put ketchup and stuff on it? No. No.
Starting point is 00:08:54 No, no. No, no. No. No. No. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:08:56 No. No. Bacon. Pankin wrap. Sourcrack. Yeah. No, no. No.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Sourcrop might be helpful for your gut. Okay, good. Okay, so Eddie has taken the challenge. Oh, I'm so stupid. Why did I do this? Go over and follow our YouTube page because that's where it will all be streamed. It will not be today, but go ahead and follow. I'm proud of you, buddy.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Thank you, man. You know why I'm doing this? For the people, right? $700. Oh, oh, for the money. Okay. Hello, Bobby Bones. My best friend just called off her engagement.
Starting point is 00:09:40 And while I'm acting supportive and heartbroken for her, I'm honestly relieved. I never liked him. I always thought he was controlled. strolling and condescending, but I bit my tongue because I didn't want to lose our friendship. Now, I want to be there for her, but I don't know if this is really the end or just a rough patch. Is it wrong? I'm secretly hoping it's over for good. And how do I help her through this without letting it slip how strongly I felt all along? Thank you, secretly relieved.
Starting point is 00:10:06 So this is a bit trickier than you would think because if she's like, I hated him. Such a good move that you guys broke up. And then they get back together, she'll always know that her best friend hated him. him. Yeah, but now seems like the perfect time. If you do that, you can't go back. I know. You can't be like, good for you guys.
Starting point is 00:10:26 It's going to be hard to be in the wedding. Did you have to go all in hard how much you hated him or can you be like? You don't have to. No, that's what she's asking her. What does she do? I feel like it could be a time to just comfort and ask what she needs of you. And then in conversation, if it comes up, like, I would think it would be okay of like, you ask, hey, I've kind of had some.
Starting point is 00:10:46 thoughts of my own that I kept to myself. I do care about and love you. Would you like to hear them? And if she says yes, then you can say, I real relieved for you. I mean, you don't have to go hard, hard, but you can say, honestly, I feel relieved. So I'm happy to be here for you in any way you need, but I think this is a good thing. I think selective honesty. And I think you have a point. Selective honesty. And asking permission to say. Is where you go because it's hard to reverse course if you think they might get back together. Because if they do and you were like, I hated him, he was always such a derback. and you're going to be standing beside her at the wedding when she's marrying him when they do get back together.
Starting point is 00:11:20 If you still feel like there's a chance, selective honesty. If you're for sure it's over, she would like to hear the wheelbarrel jumped out. Just dump it all. Be like, he's terrible. I was in therapy talking, not talking about this specifically, but I was talking my therapist about. And this might sound sexist. And I'm not somebody who usually says, hey, this might sound sexist. But I have learned in my experience that dudes, me,
Starting point is 00:11:46 My friends, we always want to fix things. And women, in my experience, a lot of times they like comfort. I never had that. I had to give that. And so my wife, a lot of times doesn't need me to fix it. She just wants comfort. And so if something's happening, and I used to be like, okay, I'll burn it down. Tell me who it is.
Starting point is 00:12:06 I'll go kill them or whatever. And it's not. Sometimes it's just like, I want to hear all about it. Like tell me about it. Hug. That's weird. Yeah, I don't. And that's...
Starting point is 00:12:17 I don't feel like that's sexist. I think that that can go both ways, depending on someone's personality. I don't know a single dude like that, but that's why I feel like... Generally speaking, you're correct in that. Men come in and try to be fixers when what we really need sometimes if we're venting or unloading is just for you to listen. And that's my point with that email. She can just listen and give support until she's for sure, then dump over the whole freaking wheelbarrel.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Because she probably liked that at the end. Yeah. I'm not trying to be sexist, you know? You're not. I don't think that is. I just hate assigning things to genders in general. Because I'm very feminine. And sometimes I don't get things assigned to me and I deserve them.
Starting point is 00:12:52 And they're probably men in a relationship right now who's their wife or girlfriend constantly tries to fix things. Okay. Thank you. Close it out. What's your favorite rascal flat song? Oh, my wish for you. Or is it the first one you thought of? That's the first one that came to my head.
Starting point is 00:13:14 There's one that my cousin played at her wedding. God bless the broken road That led me straight to you That's the one she played at her wedding Let me straight to you Is that one He's saying that at my wedding And that's what you pick, your cousin
Starting point is 00:13:24 Well because I was in it Dang I know My cousin got married before you Huh My cousin got married before you He sang it at my wedding
Starting point is 00:13:33 Okay okay okay Whatever I know Literally Gary LaVox Sang it at my wedding That was awesome Yeah The wedding was like My cousin had a cover band play
Starting point is 00:13:40 It was amazing I think it was Actually I think it's just a DJ Okay, so it's Gary LaVox's birthday today. So the story is they bought their band name for $500 for a guy from a guy who said that used to be his band name. Here's a clip of that. We sat there and we were thinking, so we were Oklahoma, because Joe don't smoke a home. It's just terrible.
Starting point is 00:14:04 And so this piano player named Jelly Roll was in town, or was playing with us. And he was like, man, back in the 60s, I used to have a band called Rascal Flats. And we were like, what's it mean, Jelly? He was like, hell, I don't know. No idea. We were like, all right. So we literally wrote on a napkin. We paid him $500 for the name.
Starting point is 00:14:22 So if it did work, we didn't get sued later. Oh, wow. So interesting, one, interesting two is there was a piano player named Jelly Roll, not the same jelly roll. I know. Wow. Yeah, Gary's 55 today. Happy birthday, Gary LaVox.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Real name Gary Wayne Vernon Jr., Powell, Ohio, July 10th, 1970. Founded in 1999 Rascal Flats, Gary LaVox, Jada Marcus, and Joe Don Rooney. That first clip was from my Bobbycast. All these are. Another cool fact was he didn't move to Nashville until he was in his late 20s, which is weird because most artists move here like late teens or early 20s.
Starting point is 00:14:56 And he talks about, he was like, all right, I have clarity now. Like, let's chase the dream. I was 27 and I was sitting in my mom's kitchen and I was singing along with the radio. And it just hit me. At that moment, I just kind of looked up and I said, God, I feel like you give me some type of gift to sing. and I'm so sorry that I haven't used it. And I was like, I'm going to do it. So I took out, because I worked for the board of developmentally disabled for 10 years,
Starting point is 00:15:21 right out of high school. So I had to leave that job, you know, state job, sold everything, moved to town. But that's what it was in my kitchen. I'd really, I sold everything, threw everything in my truck, moved to Nashville. The band's those three guys. One of the three guys, Joe Don, he got in the band because the original guitar player didn't show up. So Jay was the band leader for Shelley Wright, and then he hired, Joe Don to play guitar for Shelley. And so he had, Jay, had been telling me about Joe Don, how, you know, high
Starting point is 00:15:49 tenor, how great he sings and plays. So he came down at the fill and steel guitar bar one night, and our guitar player didn't show up. So he invited Joe Don in and we did, uh, church on the Cumberland Road was the first song we ever did. And the rest was history, we were like, wow, I don't know what that was, but that was incredible. So we asked him and that was that. I give you one more because Gary the Vox, uh, right, you can crush. I mean, LaVox means the voice. And so he would do local karaoke competitions to make money until they made it. Because that was an extra hundred bucks, you know.
Starting point is 00:16:22 If you won, it was like, you know, if I had to hit three on Friday, it would be extra $300, you know. Then Saturday, and there was one place on Sunday. But then they caught on. So if you won too much, then you couldn't win anymore, you know. So then you had to start venturing out. You go on the east side. Fake mustache. Out of town karaoke clubs.
Starting point is 00:16:41 So happy birthday, Gary LaVox. thoughts. That's interesting about jelly roll, the guy they bought the thing from. So it's like, if this works out, we got proof we paid you. But it did not work out. So like, did jelly roll ever get any extra? I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:16:58 That's all that. Yeah, he didn't. Contract was there. Yeah. Oklahoma, too, not bad. Terrible. Terrible name. But it would have been normal.
Starting point is 00:17:08 We've known it. Right. We'd have been like, can you imagine they almost name themselves Brascal Flats? Oklahoma. Our favorite band was almost Rascal Flats. How weird is that? Well, let's play this song now. This is the song from Amy's Cousin's Wedding. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:22 We can't stop talking about it. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So in the middle of a little league game, the umpire collapses. Turns out he had a heart attack. So obviously everyone's rushing to his aid. Well, shout out to Jen Poole sitting in the stands because she's a palliative care doctor.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Cedar Sinai and I, and she knew exactly what to do. It says here, though, she's way smaller than him. And it said, despite her small frame, she managed to restart his heart multiple times. She did CPR for 10 minutes. Wow. I'd have given up that 40 seconds. Clear, hey, we lost time of death. Like, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Yeah. And really the story is. So that's to keep people comfortable when they're dying, which is interesting to me. Obviously, I don't know the details, details. But my mom had a palliative care doctor in hospice. and the deal with that is you keep them comfortable until they die you don't perform CPR so I was like oh what if she just hop down it's like make him comfortable he's gonna die she starts like like petting his head guys just get away let him go because that's her job let him go that that's awesome um and so they yes they make sure that they're comfortable thought she's just down they're going no guys we're gonna let him go i gotta comfort him guys i've been trained to do this or does he have a you know do not resuscitate form or something i remember my dad He actually had a do not resuscitate things.
Starting point is 00:18:45 He didn't want that. And he got resuscitated in ICU. Hey, he's so healthy. He's like, I'm suing. Well, it turns out that we hadn't turned in, like, his latest paperwork that he wanted. So it saved his life. But then he was in ICU for six weeks in his quality of life after that was pretty terrible. He guys, always resuscitate me.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Always? But if you have legally... No, I don't. You're not ever going to change your memory. mine? No, and I want the palliative care doctor. Yeah, you want that one specifically. Oh, Jenpool? Yeah. Yeah, you want her? Exactly what she's doing. You're going to be 120. We're going to try to resist the team.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Plug in the cables, baby. And the big takeaway from this, at least for Jen and the umpire, Jeff, is they want this story to get out so that more people get certified for CPR because you never know when it could come in handy. I'd also like to shout out to all the Little League umpires out there. You don't get paid much and you deal with a whole lot of crap. from parents. Those parents I gave a heart attack. Probably.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Yeah. A referee. You suck. I'm, quit faking it. You made a bad call. And then all of a sudden he's out. All right, good story.
Starting point is 00:19:51 That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits,
Starting point is 00:20:04 the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement
Starting point is 00:20:15 to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted
Starting point is 00:21:36 for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. When you listen to podcasts about AI and tech and the future of humanity, the hosts always act like they know what they're talking about and they are experts at everything. Here, the Nick Dick and Poll Show, we're not afraid to make mistakes. What Coogler did that I think was so unique.
Starting point is 00:22:10 He's the writer-director. Who do you think he is? I don't know. You meet the, like, the president? You think Canada has a president? You think China has a president? The law crusade. God, I love that thing.
Starting point is 00:22:25 I use it all the time. I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it at night. It's like the old Polish saying, not my monkeys, not my circus. Yep. It was a good one. I like that saying. It is an actual Polish saying. It is an actual poem.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Better version of Play Stupid Games, win stupid prizes. Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time. I actually thought it was. I got that wrong. Listen to the Nick, Dick, and Poll show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:22:55 If you're watching the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you already know there's a lot to break down. Gorsha accusing Kelly of sleeping with a merry man. They holding Kay Michelle back from fighting Drew. Pinky has financial issues. I like the bougie style of Housewives of Housewives show. I think it looks like to be interesting.
Starting point is 00:23:13 On the podcast, Reality with the King, I, Carlos King, recap the biggest moments from your favorite reality shows, including the Real Housewives franchise, the drama, the alliances, and the T everybody's talking about. As an executive producer in reality television, I'm not just watching it. I understand the game. As somebody who creates shows, I'll even say this.
Starting point is 00:23:37 At the end of the day, when people are at home, they want entertainment. To hear this and more, listen to Reality with the King on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real real. wealth, starting with the mindset shifts, too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about, like, I'm going to get rich. That's great. It's about
Starting point is 00:24:23 creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. So if my wife and I go to dinner, this is what we do and people think it's weird. I put it on TikTok and it blew up. So if we go to dinner, as soon as the person comes up to us, the server, and I've been to server, or the server for many years, server comes up and goes, hey, welcome to whatever restaurant.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Would you like anything to drink? I say the following. Sure, but I'd also like to go ahead and order an advertiser and go ahead and order on-trust. and just run the whole thing right now. And so they're like, oh, great. It makes easy on me. And so they pull out the little thing. And most time they write it down.
Starting point is 00:25:19 Now, I don't think people have the whole ego, which it used to be back in the day, well, I can remember it all. I don't like people have that as much anymore. And so they do the drink, and usually I'll get some sort of like non-alcoholic beverage. At this one place I like, they do like a watermelon and, like,
Starting point is 00:25:34 soda water, and they do the rim of the thing in salt. Oh, that's awesome. It's like a virgin margarita. It's awesome. So I just look the glass. So I do that as a drink. And then I already know. Just the example, I did, we did the chips and salsa with the guacamole.
Starting point is 00:25:51 And then as soon as the drinks come, that's right there. And as soon as they pull the chips and salt, there's no more coming back to the table, ask, okay, we want your entree now. And so as soon as the entree arrives, which I ordered carneasada. This is a Mexican place we did this out. Yes. Order carneasada and with the potatoes, but no butter because you can eat dairy. And so as soon as they bring the entree, you know what I do?
Starting point is 00:26:10 I asked for the check. Right when the entree comes. So they lay it down. I'm like, oh, can we go ahead and get the check? And they're like, oh, and a little stun gunned at that one. Because what I like to do, and I've said this before, and my wife does too, is as soon as we finish our last bite, we're good. We like to almost be getting out of our seat and we're finished on that last swallow. So it's like, all right, let's go and get out of here.
Starting point is 00:26:33 As soon as we're done, we like to leave. People thought that was weird. my response back was my wife and I spend time together in the daytime in the car ride at dinner after the car ride at home that night we don't need the extra time in the restaurant to have fellowship we have plenty of fellowship so we go for the food so we go in we have our exact a b c d as soon as we're done with d we get the heck out of there weird not weird a little weird But if it works for y'all, then it's not weird for y'all. I don't think I could do that because I'm not going to be ready.
Starting point is 00:27:13 We know what we want before we get there because we look on our phone at the menu. You do? Yes, we do. I do that. And then I still don't know. Okay, fair enough. And then they come back and I'm like, oh, I need a little more time. I want to order my drink.
Starting point is 00:27:25 And then I want to order the appetizer. And then I want to think because what if I change my mind? Okay. And then I like it being just a whole. Like experience. We like the experience of not cooking. Yeah. And having a specific kind of meal that we enjoy.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Being out. We don't care so much about the out. If they brought it to us, that'd be good. And we'd do that something. Yeah. So you go weird, but only a little weird. Yeah, like, we went out to eat the other night. And I think our waitress came back four or five times before we ordered our meal meal.
Starting point is 00:27:56 My wife will get mad at me if we're out with friends. And the guy's like, okay, we ready? I'm like, yep. And I just say yes. without asking her. Even if nobody has said they're ready, because I know that'll get everybody. Oh, I don't know we were. But that'll get everybody going.
Starting point is 00:28:09 I don't want to sit there for an hour. An hour? You can't handle an hour out to eat. See, that part that's weird. I assume dinner out is going to be an hour. At least. Yes, that means. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:21 I don't want to like sit and chat. I want the food. We're there for the food. Let's eat the food. Yeah, you eat the food. You fellowship, you enjoy. She does get mad at me. Because if it's just her and I, we have a plan.
Starting point is 00:28:32 Now I think about it, I've created the whole plan and she just goes on with it. I think she's adapted to your, because she's like, okay, this is what he likes. So I'm going to stretch here a little bit. She does get irritated if we're with a group of people and the waiter comes. Everybody ready? And I don't check and just go, yep, we're all ready. And I will go first. I also do this move where I go, I'll go first and I'll talk slow so I can give everybody time to get ready.
Starting point is 00:28:54 That's so kind of you. Thank you. So generous. Yeah. Otherwise, we're just going to be sitting there. We'd be twiddling their thumbs for two hours. Wow. Now it's two hours.
Starting point is 00:29:01 But Bobby, it doesn't have to be, you just went from like, you don't even want to be there for an hour to like just in case it lasts two hours. Like, what if it just is a normal dinner that's about an hour 15? And when someone orders a coffee at the end of dinner, like stop by Starbucks, bro. Like if as a group, we're like, we're all going to get dessert. Okay. But if someone, everybody's like, anyone's dessert? No, no, no, no. And one person goes, you know, I think I'll have a coffee.
Starting point is 00:29:27 I don't want to sit here while you drink a coffee. But that's a time to talk. I'm good. We need to talk for an hour. Two, maybe. If you didn't order whenever we were ready. What do you do when the server says the specials? I don't mind the specials. And I listen intently because I was a server. And they have to say the specials.
Starting point is 00:29:43 And so what I would encourage people to do is to be kind and at least look up and have eye contact while they're reading that or saying what the special is because they've been told to do that. And there's nothing more annoying when someone's like not paying attention while you're doing it. And then they have to ask you again. Or they just don't care. Just have a little kindness. And I think I'm being kind. I want to tell you, it all boils down to this.
Starting point is 00:30:04 I think I'm being kind by my mode of operation error, my M.O. Because we can turn that table over, then get somebody else down and make more tips. It's thoughtful of you. Hold on. M.O. I mean mode of operation?
Starting point is 00:30:17 I think so. That's crazy. Yeah, your M.O. I think so. Wow. Something like that. Okay. And so in my mind,
Starting point is 00:30:24 I'm also helping out the server because I love to turn a table over. Because that meant somebody else was sent down. That was more tips for me. Because I only have so many tables on my section. So like when you went and you order the chips and the Karnikazada and you ate, like did you time that me? Like how long from when you all sat down to when you left? Like how many minutes do you think that actually took? All in all? Yeah. I'm thinking 22 minutes. Probably no more
Starting point is 00:30:44 than 30 minutes. I can ask my wife. Yeah. Like you got in your car, you got dressed, you went out for 22 minute. Bobby here. We're talking about when we go to dinner and the server comes up and goes, hey can I get you a drink and I kindly say we will run through the whole thing and we order drink and chips and salsa appetizer whatever that is and entree and order it all and then we get out Amy asked how long a typical dinner is so what do you think the answer to that is and do you have any problem with our philosophy of getting into just y'all too no other couples just to and she also and I also told them how sometimes you might get a little irritated at me if we're with other people and I'm like, yeah, we're ready.
Starting point is 00:31:28 No one is actually ready. So any question? What's the specific question I'm asking her? I think just like that dinner. How long is it was 22 minutes? If we go out to eat, which is you and I, how long is the typical dinner? Thank you. I love you, baby.
Starting point is 00:31:44 All right. That's how we do every call. Just send it. That's how we do every call. Oh my goodness. So, M.O. Modus operandi is Latin that translates to mode of operating. Wow.
Starting point is 00:31:56 Yeah. I can't believe you. knew that. I didn't, I didn't know it. Like, I didn't flex the knowledge. If you were flexing, you would have said modus operandi. I know. I know, yeah. That would have been crazy. So, uh, okay, thoughts. Thoughts in general of how I prefer to dine out, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:32:11 I think it's very efficient. Thank you. I mean, every server is going to appreciate that for sure because it's like, oh, great, I don't have to come back. This is awesome. But it's weird. Weird as crap. Like, no one does this. You're probably the only person in the world that does this. I don't think that's true. But I will accept weird. Weird as crap. won't accept. Weird's crap's too much. It's too much because I also feel like I'm being kind to the server because we're getting out. I get it. But practice that all that people do, no, this
Starting point is 00:32:37 doesn't happen. People don't do this. Lunchbox? Strange because I feel like dinner is supposed to be relaxing. You're supposed to go out, enjoy your time, relax, sit down. You make it stressful. Like, oh my gosh, you better have your order ready right when we sit down. It's like, oh my gosh, it would be terrible to eat dinner with you. So strange, yeah. I'll accept strange, but I will not accept strange as crap. That's crap. Because that feels like it's negative. Here's one other thing that happened.
Starting point is 00:33:02 So on the weekends, I order the same exact thing from Uber Eats or DoorDash, whatever you do, but we do Uber Eats. And so I order from Uber Eats. I ordered this one drink and I have like a little cinnamon added. There's like a very specific way that I make this thing. And so they bring it. It's always excellent. And I get it on Saturdays and Sundays. And my wife and I, this past weekend, went to the place and I said, I'm going to go up and order in person.
Starting point is 00:33:23 What if they recognize me by my drink? and she goes they're not going to recognize you by your drink and I walk in and it's a very hippie place they don't listen to the show they have no idea what we're doing here and I say I like this
Starting point is 00:33:34 and add a little cinnamon and the guy goes are you Bobby B B? That's cool that's cool yes the guy from Uber Eats
Starting point is 00:33:43 yes and then he says to it he says to his friend hey my Bobby B is here I was with the cinnamon and he goes hey that's cute that's really cool
Starting point is 00:33:52 that was pretty excited about that I'm pretty excited about that See, it feels good to be known. Not known on a level like fame, but just known. I don't mind the fame part too when that happens. But that's not what I mean. I just mean we as people, how much we enjoy just feeling seen by, you know, our community or whatever.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Like even our friends, our family or who we are ordering our drink from. And the fact that nobody else makes that drink. Exactly. Like, that's cool. Kind of weird. Not weird as crap, though. You Bobby B? I'm Bobby B.
Starting point is 00:34:23 And I liked at my wife. Like, I totally. told you and she was like, oh God, here we're going to have to hear about this for a month now. That's awesome. So what's all I'm saying? When I get a message back from her, I'll come back and we'll readdress it, all right? Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:34:35 I just heard from my wife as a very brief answer about us going to dinner. She said, the only time I get annoyed is if other people are with us and you say everyone's ready and you give a nobody time to get ready. That's all. You knew that. Yeah. Yeah. Because she'll say, don't do that. And then I'll be like, okay.
Starting point is 00:34:53 And I've also learned not to do that for the most part too. So that was it. Other than that, she thinks it's good when we go to dinner and we get in and out. Did she answer the time? How long it's normal dinner for you two takes? She didn't. I mean, it's hard to know that. Next time set a timer.
Starting point is 00:35:10 Yeah. I would imagine there's no chance it's over a half hour. Right. No chance. You can probably watch a full episode of Sanford's son and get out. That is crazy. It is crazy. But not crazy in a bad way.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Yeah, not crazy is crap. Yeah. It's crazy. Thank you. It's not crazy. It's weird. It's crap. But it could be crazy and it could be weird.
Starting point is 00:35:27 Correct. The Bobby Bones show. Coming up next, we're going to play the Bobby Feud. One of the greatest game shows of all time, according to our listeners. Have ten answers. Let's play the feud next. One crispy dollar on the line here. Let's play the Bobby feud.
Starting point is 00:35:44 We ask 2,000. Bobby Bones show listeners, what's the best game show of all time? Eddie's out. Scored no points in the last game. I remember that. Famous Jennifer's. You sucked at that one. We rolled the dice.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Amy, you're first. What's the best game show up all time? Let's play the feud. Jeopardy. Show me Jeopard. Number one answer. Keep going. Price is right.
Starting point is 00:36:11 Show me the price is right. Number three. Wheel of fortune. Wheel of fortune. Number two. Who wants to be a millionaire? Is that your final answer? number five.
Starting point is 00:36:31 I don't know that I got to millionaire, by the way. Oh, that's a good one. Deal or no deal? Number seven. We still never had anyone run an entire category. It's starting to happen. This could be one of those. Amy, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Oh, let me read you what you have. Jeopardy at 1, Will a Fortune at 2. Price is right at 3. Who wants to be a millionaire at 5, deal or no deal at 7? Still five answers on the board. What is... I don't answer questions.
Starting point is 00:36:59 I know, but tell me the category. The category again? The category is what's the best game show of all time? Okay, because I'm trying to like figure out what fits into game show. You answered. Three seconds. I know I did, but I could go a different direction. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Like, love connection. Love connection. Oh, two and two. Okay. Lunchbox. Yeah. Amy, I'm sorry. You are the weakest link. Goodbye. Show me the weakest link. Sounds like you are. That show was like a pop culture moment. That was it.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Eddie? I'm out, dude. Come on. That's really true, sure. Morgan, go ahead. I feel like it should be family feud because we're playing the feud. Show me the game we did not steal from, by the way. This is a completely independent.
Starting point is 00:37:45 Do not sue us. Show me family feud. Good job. Number four answer. Four still on the board. Amy has 18 points. Morgan? I'm going to be honest, that was all I had because Amy had all of them that I had even thought of.
Starting point is 00:37:59 But potentially this is one, Survivor? Show me Survivor. That helps. All right, points are doubled, Amy. So round number two of three. Yeah. 6, 8, 9, and 10 are still on the board. What's the best game show of all time?
Starting point is 00:38:16 Hollywood Squares. Show me. Circle gets the square. Number six answer. You are so good. Murdering this one. Okay. Murder.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Murdering this category, like killing it. Let's see. I can't think it. I don't know if this is. the full name and if I say it then I'm going to give it away if it's not. If it's close enough because this isn't a trivia game. If it's like 90% and like a one word's missing we'll give it to you on this one.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Pyramid! Show me the pyramid. Well because the pyramids have different iterations as well. They've had $10,000, $100,000. So if you do say pyramid, if you do say pyramid, we would let you have that. But are you sure you want to say pyramid? Yeah, pyramid. Show me the pyramid. Number 10, answer 20 points. Wow.
Starting point is 00:39:08 Dang. Supermarket Sweeps. Show me Supermarket Sweep. Oh, that was such a good show. You've got 8 to 10. Now, it won't be considered a true run, but you could get all 10 for the first time. Okay. Lunchbox there are two left.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Yeah. You can still win, but you can't get any of this round. Give me American Idol. American Idol. You missed that one on purpose. Morgan? Love is blind. Love is blind.
Starting point is 00:39:42 She missed that one. All right, we're at triple. So, Amy, you have 50 points. Now, doing that. 50. Gosh. Wait, I got four, right? Six.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Yeah, you do. You have four, yeah. Yeah. Cool. So by the math here, there are 51 points still available on the board. Whoa. Because there's eight and nine. If you get both of them at its triple points, it's 51 points.
Starting point is 00:40:03 So you can still win this, lunchbox and Morgan, but you have to get both right. Amy, you're first. What's the best game show of all time? We're looking for number eight and nine. You have Jeopardy off the board, Will of Fortune, Price is Right, Family Feud, who wants to be a millionaire, Hollywood Squares, deal or no deal, and the pyramid. For the win. I can't think of anything else, so I'm going to go with the American Ninja Warrior.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Ninja Warrior! Great show. Lunchbox, you can win this. Your two answers away from winning this thing. Yeah. What do you have? All you do is win, dude. Come on.
Starting point is 00:40:43 All I do is win. You know what I like to do? What you like to do? I like to press my love. Also, if you miss, you're out next game because you have zero. Press your luck. Is that where, no whammy, no whammy, no whammy, stop. That's good.
Starting point is 00:40:59 That's had iterations too. No whammy was a version of that game. Oh, so if I would have said no whammy, that would have worked? All I could think of was no whammy, but I knew that wasn't the name of the game. Well, you may not have known there was a new version of it. Did not. That's weird. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:41:18 I love walking to the water and I'd be like, nope. Morgan, for the win, can you get two of them? No. I can't even come up with one of them, but you know what I did come up with? Which, it could be on this list because it was a good show. Snake in the grass. So, that's not right. You hit it that time.
Starting point is 00:41:34 I don't have any other answers. I mean, I have it written down. Competition shows, though, like a television competition shows. I don't think are the same as game shows. Right. Game shows are in a studio. I had Snake in the Grass, but then Survivor didn't make it. So I was like, yeah, I was really going.
Starting point is 00:41:48 Yeah, no, yeah. So first of all, before we celebrate Amy, at number eight, the match game, and at number nine, are you smarter than a fifth grader? She got eight right. She is our champion again. Give it up for Amy. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:42:11 A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the fourth. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.

So, if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be.
Starting point is 00:43:02 Listen to The Clifford Show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships.
Starting point is 00:43:48 I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. What Cougler did that I think was so unique. He's the writer-director. Who do you think he is?
Starting point is 00:44:27 I don't know. You mean it's the like the president? You think Canada has a president. You think China has a president. Those law a rousette. God, I love that thing. I use it all the time. I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it at night.
Starting point is 00:44:44 It's like the old Polish saying, not my monkeys, not my circus. Yep. It's a good one. I like that saying. It is an actual Polish saying. Yeah. It is an actual poem.
Starting point is 00:44:53 Better version of Play Stupid Games, win stupid prizes. Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift who said that for the first time. I actually, I thought it was.
Starting point is 00:45:01 I got that wrong. Listen to the Nick, Dick, and Paul show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant,
Starting point is 00:45:13 I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here.
Starting point is 00:45:26 We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about, like, I'm going to get rich. That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family.
Starting point is 00:45:50 If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you. to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:46:07 If you're watching the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you already know there's a lot to break down. Gorsha accusing Kelly of sleeping with a merry man. They holding Kay Michelle back from fighting Drew. Pinky has financial issues. I like the boozy style
Starting point is 00:46:23 of Housewives show. I think it looks things that'd be interesting. On the podcast, Reality with the King, I, Carlos King, recap the biggest moments from your favorite reality shows, including the Real House Wise franchise, the drama, the alliances, and the team everybody's talking about.
Starting point is 00:46:40 As an executive producer in reality television, I'm not just watching it, I understand the game. As somebody who creates shows, I'll even say this. At the end of the day, when people are at home, they want entertainment.
Starting point is 00:46:54 To hear this, more. Listen to Reality with the King on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. So some people quote is that a crying baby wakes a woman up more than it wakes a man up because of like the frequency of the baby screams and genetically through the years a woman has been trained to wake up when they hear the shrill of a crying baby. What are your thoughts on that? That we naturally want to wake up and do it? Yeah. Do you think that's true or do you think that's propaganda? I think it's a little bit true.
Starting point is 00:47:28 So this is from Aras University. A new study challenges the belief that women are biologically more responsive to a baby's cries than men. Basically, basically, guys are just less likely to wake up because they don't want to get up. Oh, is that it? They hear it, they wake up.
Starting point is 00:47:42 They're just either fake sleeping or don't care enough to get up. But it does wake them up at the same rate. Okay. Well, I just think that we are more nurturing, though. The nurturing is actually getting. out of bed. Yes, like, y'all are like, I hear that, but I'm not going to nurture. And women are like, I hear that. I need to go nurture. I think we need our sleep more is the problem. The thing is, is that men, we've been told forever, they don't even hear it the same.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Baby crying and men have always been like, well, I didn't hear it. Like genetically, through thousands of years, caveman, cave woman, we don't hear the baby scream. So you don't hear it. Yeah, it's all a lie. So you're just liars. Yeah, it's all a lie. Researchers found minimal differences in how men and women hear different sounds, including a baby during sleep. Hmm, okay. So don't, I hate to throw all the guys out there and be like, they're all full of crap. But unless there's a hearing problem, I think they're lying.
Starting point is 00:48:33 Yeah, sounds like it. Did you ever do that, Eddie? I really remember hearing my babies cry. There you go. Like ever. And maybe you've convinced yourself. You're holding the line, buddy. You know, I respect it.
Starting point is 00:48:42 I don't believe it, but I respect what you're saying. My wife was so good at getting up and, you know, tend into the baby, but I don't remember hearing them cry at all. There are a lot of men out there that are good at getting up, though. Okay. So, shout out of them. Eddie never changed a diaper. Whoa, whoa, my first, yeah, my first two kids.
Starting point is 00:48:59 My first two kids. And then what happened? You learned? And then the last one, yeah, I learned to change a lot of diapers. And they're stinky and they're gross. Is it gross if it's your own kid? Yes. We don't have kids yet, so it's like.
Starting point is 00:49:11 Oh, did the smell is the smell. Like my dog has been, my dog, I haven't told you guys. It's a dog story. So whatever. He's had staff infection all over his body, like different stuff. And so we've been, like, fighting that hard. But part of it, part of his issue has been bathroom. I don't mind, like, cleaning him after he, like, poops.
Starting point is 00:49:27 So I'm wondering, like, when we finally have kids, am I going to, like, not mind if it's a human poop? Or is it just way more and way grosser? Some people say, like, oh, no, it's not bad or whatever. You get used to it. I never got used to it. I mean, I don't love it. I'm not like, can't wait to get in the dog's poop. Yeah, there is something about it when it's your own.
Starting point is 00:49:42 Like, my cat threw up on me the other day, and I didn't care. Mostly I'm sad for the dog more than I am gross. out by the poop. Yeah, but I'm trying to think, like, if somebody else's animal threw up on me, I'd be grossed out, but it's like when it's your own, it hits different. Yeah. Do you feel that way about your farts? What?
Starting point is 00:49:58 Oh, 100%. Yes. Mine, there's nothing wrong on my farts. They're great. But someone else, disgusting. Women, it's another story from NBC News. Women still do more housework than men, but they found the gap is closing. Men did an average of 100 minutes of housework per day in 20.
Starting point is 00:50:18 2024 compared to 140 minutes per women. If the trend continues, around 2066, things will be even. All right. If the trend continues. Good job, guys. Yeah. Y'all finally figure it out how to do it, run a vacuum. Well, like, my dad didn't do anything.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Yeah, but dude, that's like black and white TV. No, that's what I'm saying, though. So we're slowly getting there. Now my kids are watching me do more. So then they'll do. I mean, I do think that that helps. Like, if you can leave my example. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:46 For sure. I think my wife and I's is more, we have individual things we're in charge of. More so than all the housework, it's like I take out the trash. She doesn't like the trash. I take out the trash. I clean up after the dogs. Like there are certain, I don't know if we wait. I don't touch laundry.
Starting point is 00:51:05 I don't go grocery shopping. I don't do any of that stuff. I mean, if you do go, you document it. Oh, there's for sure. It can be an Instagram story. Look at me. I'm at the grocery store. Look how normal I am.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Yeah, so you and your husband when you were married? Yeah, I mean, we had similar to you. Like, he loved doing the yard stuff. Like, and I didn't. So he took care of outside. I took care of inside. But he would do laundry and... Is yard housework?
Starting point is 00:51:31 And dishes? Yeah. I just wonder if that... Well, I would think so. Yeah, because somebody has to maintain it. And he loved doing that sort of thing. So it was tradeoffs. But also, we would cook together and he would do the dishes a lot.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Oh, I don't cook. either. Let me just don't throw that out there. I don't cook at all. So no lawn. I was going to be honest. Yeah, yeah. Follow us for no cooking. I think. I did pre-heat the oven last night though. I'm being honestly with 375. I pre-seventy-thew-thew. I pre-hated it 375, took the thing out of the freezer to thaw and then put it in the oven. I think I just cooked dinner last night. Now did I think about it. Baby steps. Pretty much. No, I did. I basically cooked dinner last night. I need to my wife a text. But once you do have kids, I think it will be good for you to, you've got to find out how you're
Starting point is 00:52:12 going to model clean you know i feel pretty good about the current situation i feel pretty good about it actually so that you know if you have a son he grows up to have a pretty good situation yeah okay he grows up he's like i don't do laundry i don't but i do i do take i take out the trash or clean the garage like i do have my clean after the dogs i do all feed the dogs morning and night what do you clean in the garage all kinds of crap stuff that i make that i'm making that's up it's mostly my it's time for the good news with bobby In Raleigh, this place called Raleigh cheesy, hilarious, by the way, like really cheesy. Oh, Raleigh cheesy.
Starting point is 00:52:53 Ah, it sucks, though. I can't eat cheese. It tries me crazy. Oh, sorry, dude. Full dairy. Can't do it at all. It sucks. So Raleigh cheesy, again, hilarious, was facing a financial crisis.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Derek gets broke. And what happens if a bunch of cheese gets hot? It's ruined. It melts. Mm-hmm. So it wasn't like they had a bunch of money. The owner posted a video was like, hey, our store is out of, Our air condition is not working.
Starting point is 00:53:17 So if you guys want to buy stuff quickly, please do. Within a few days, though, they had some fans and people were buying stuff, but then they generated her $15,000 in sales because people wanted to help out so much. Even people were just donated money. They kept the store up. That's awesome. Because people were like, we don't want Raleigh cheesy to be not Raleigh cheesy. Bowman credits the Raleigh community for their continued support saying that even small purchases had a big impact and that they do on local businesses in general. I thought it's a great story
Starting point is 00:53:45 the community just kind of jumping together to make sure that, man, what a story I love cheese so much. Raleigh cheesy. I'm glad you can't clarify because I was like,
Starting point is 00:53:53 oh, Raleigh cheesy. But it's in Raleigh too though. I know. Yeah, it's a play on... Yeah. Yeah, really. Because the Charlotte Cheezy doesn't play as well. No, not at all.
Starting point is 00:54:01 But Ralee cheesy does. Ralee cheesy does. That's from ABC 11. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. When you turn the radio on and it dial just keeps on turn. We have to stay bread
Starting point is 00:54:23 Abbott's trying to put you through Mike D's riding this week's next bit Now Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is Bobby Vaughn's stone We have 90 seconds to figure out every corny joke Amy, you ready? Yep, let's go The morning corny
Starting point is 00:54:47 What kind of car does a sheep love to drive? Ram? Ram is good. A ram? Oh, that's good. Superoo. Bob. We have to do the one in front of you, even though a frame is better. How about what's got a...
Starting point is 00:55:00 Toyota. A bat. B. M.W. A bat. Fagotty. It's not by then. Sheep. Lamb.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Lamborghini. Lambagini. Amy shook your head on bass, so I... If you drive a Subaru in reverse, what are you? Backing up. Subaru. You're backing up. Reverse.
Starting point is 00:55:26 It's got to be. If you drive a Subaru. How do you sell Subaru? Uber. What are you? You are a bus. Yes. Wow.
Starting point is 00:55:35 I didn't know that. No, yourself's backing out, though. Okay. What's a car's favorite movie genre? A car. Speed. Cinema. Action.
Starting point is 00:55:45 Fast and a furious. A car. Transmission. Transformers. Auto. Motor. Auto. Auto.
Starting point is 00:55:53 Auto. Immune. Genre. genre drama auto crime comedy autoimmune movie genre
Starting point is 00:56:02 did you say movie or was that the last one genre movie genre book autobiography is a movie not an autobiography it's books oh is a movie not an autobiography those are called biopics oh my gosh my bad go
Starting point is 00:56:12 um why does it you wrote it about yourself go okay what does it cost so much to put air in a tire inflation oh that's a good one
Starting point is 00:56:25 I think we'd got there though. You would have. Yeah, but we didn't get it. Sorry, but hold on. As a movie is in autobiography. I guess if you write it about yourself. Yeah, most of them are just called biopics because it doesn't matter. We got it.
Starting point is 00:56:37 Thank goodness you said book. I wouldn't have got it on movie. Okay. This isn't real tea. This is speculative tea. With me? Yeah, I'm with you. I'm ready for it.
Starting point is 00:56:48 So we do. Let's spill the tea. Let's spill the tea. I just want everybody to know the person that's going to do the speculative tea. speculating does not. So there's no concrete evidence. There's no eyewitness this. No, so this is very dangerous.
Starting point is 00:57:01 Huh. It's reckless even. I'll even say that. It's reckless. But it is entertaining. Okay. And so it doesn't matter who the person is. The spilling or?
Starting point is 00:57:09 The spilling. Yeah. Like, does it feel, if it's Scuba Steve, for example, does it feel a little more honest? Like he's probably got some reasons to think something. Oh, I think it definitely matters who's saying it. Right. It's lunchbox. Who's going to say it.
Starting point is 00:57:21 Okay. Well. Of course. Then juries out. Okay, so grain of salt. Maybe, we'll see. Grand of salt. Lunchbox, speculative, spill the tea.
Starting point is 00:57:29 Yes, if you'd like to get your cups ready, because I'm about to pour this tea into your cups and you're going to drink it, you're going to enjoy it. And Morgan's engaged. My belief is Morgan is engaged that she got engaged on her road trip with her boyfriend who put up with the dog in the bed, the dog in the restaurant. They couldn't go anywhere without the dog. They drove all over America up to Minnesota, almost to Canada, down through Iowa.
Starting point is 00:57:54 And somewhere along that trip. I've been everywhere, man, I've been everywhere. Been in Minnesota, Canada, Iowa. Go ahead. Somewhere along that trip, he got down on one knee and proposed to Morgan. And the reason Morgan has not told us, because she's been walking around this studio this last week with a different smile on her face, a different strut. And then when Bobby kind of was making fun of him the other day, she was really wanting to yell,
Starting point is 00:58:18 we're engaged, leave alone. But she knows that we're going to call her Amy number two if she gets engaged. that quick. So her parents know, her friends know. And we took a stray for no reason. I mean, that's been 15 years, but go ahead. She is withholding it from us to make it seem like they were dating longer before they got engaged. The wedding planning has begun. Morgan is engaged. And this is all just from a vibe. That is all the vibe I get from seeing her and talking to her and the way she's carrying herself. Morgan is engaged. When she leaves this studio, I think she's,
Starting point is 00:58:54 She gets in her car and puts a ring on. Spill the tea. And now you're going to ask her and she's going to say, no, that's not true because... Well, it might not be true. Before we go to Morgan, though, Amy, yes. Kind of reckless to be yelling that, huh? Yeah, she's not engaged. Do you know that for sure?
Starting point is 00:59:15 Yes, yes. You do know that for sure? Or is it a vibe? Is that a vibe? Are you going off of a vibe? Are you speculating? I would bet a lot of money on the fact that she's... She is not engaged.
Starting point is 00:59:28 I would also bet she's not engaged because I would think that would be something that she'd want to share with everyone. Now, we're still not gone to Morgan. So we're going to go around to Eddie next. I mean, Morgan's a social media content provider. Like, that's what she does. This would be huge content. She would love to put that rock out on Instagram and it hasn't happened. So no, she's not engaged.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Okay, Morgan, you heard lunchbox talking. What are your thoughts? Unless it's not the rock she wanted. Oh, she's embarrassed. Also, she doesn't want to pull on Amy and put it on Instagram first before we talk about it on the show. Instagram didn't even exist. Her podcast. I got engaged.
Starting point is 01:00:00 But that's different. Engagement's different. You don't have to break that news on the show before anybody hears it. I'm just letting you know. Yeah, go ahead. Morgan, it's not time for you to speak. Are you engaged? Guys, I have something to tell you.
Starting point is 01:00:14 Go ahead. No, I'm not engaged. Are you an idiot? No. Yeah, I knew that. Is that reckless for him to say that? Yes. I'm not engaged.
Starting point is 01:00:22 And yes, I would share with you guys. I don't think I can hold on to that for very long. I'm a really bad liar. So you're not engaged. No, I'm not engaged. Also, I'd like to point out, can I, can I spell something to my own? The foragers. This guy, you heard him, his setup, right?
Starting point is 01:00:40 The dog was everywhere. The dog was with them. They went in restaurants. Couldn't go anywhere without the dog. Do you know who also traveled with their dog? Lunchbox. Do you know who also took their dog to a restaurant? Lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:00:51 Do you know who took the dog in a restaurant? Lunchbox. When? Over here. his vacation. But to be fair, he's married. Wait. So, he took the dog on vacation.
Starting point is 01:01:01 The dog is a whole deal. Oh, my gosh. I'm really confused by what her anger is about here. Mostly it's about the dog. Yeah, you're not engaged. You're not engaged. I'm not engaged. And stop making a big deal about the dog.
Starting point is 01:01:13 You brought your dog. It's the same. No, no. When you're dating and your dog has to go everywhere, that wouldn't happen. I mean, it's like, oh my gosh. So if you were dating a chick and she's like, hey, I'm a chick. I'm bringing my dog. you'd say, okay, but we're going to leave it at the hotel at some point.
Starting point is 01:01:29 It's not going to sleep in the bed with those. I mean, it's like the dog is running the relationship. Good thing I would have never wanted to date you. That's good for me. But you think she would, though? If it lined up, do you think she'd have been all in it? Oh, my God. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:42 She would have been on it? Yeah. Let's be real. Yeah. Okay, I mean, let's be real. Yeah. Is he your type? No.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Let's just say it lined up. If it lined up, no. Okay. You're not engaged, though. I am not engaged. There you go. So spill the tea unsuccessful. And I get recognized.
Starting point is 01:01:58 No, no, no. That was a, like a brewing of the tea. Like, I felt like there was some... That's not a prediction. You don't get credit for a prediction when someone's dating somebody and they get engaged. No, no, no. I'm not saying it's going to happen like in a week or so. I'm just saying, I got a feeling that it already happened and she'll never tell us now.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Like, it's never going to be, we're never going to be told the truth. But that's what conspiracy theorists say whenever they know they're wrong. They're like the truth will never come out, but we know. I believe right there by the Canadian border is where they got engaged. All right. lunch, boys. Bobby Bones show. Bonehead.
Starting point is 01:02:27 Norrie of the day. This story comes to us from California. A 59-year-old man's out for a drive on a Sunday morning when, boom, he hits a 400-pound bear with his car. Bear is killed over on the side of the road. What's the guy going to do? Got to get out and help the bear, right? No, you call Animal Control. You call somebody.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Wildlife. Yeah. Well, the 59-year-old man got out of the car to help the bear. I mean, that's commendable. He was being nice. Yeah. But. Bear started biting.
Starting point is 01:03:01 Of course, bears hurt. So what? He lived, but he suffered injuries and had to be, you know, in the hospital. I feel like this is unfair for the bonehead, though. I agree. What do you mean? He got out and helped a bear. I know.
Starting point is 01:03:14 He's trying to be. His heart was in the right place. Correct. You're not thinking you're helping the bear and then the bear's going to attack you. Right. You're thinking, here's something alive. A living creature. like to see not die, so let me see what I can do, and then you get eaten. Yeah. Yeah, it should
Starting point is 01:03:30 have called. Like, our instinct was to call animal, animal control, or whatever that is. You're game warden. Yeah. But I don't know that, but that's a bonehead. Amy, you? I feel like he's a compassionate person that didn't. Like, if you got out for a selfie, I'd be like bonehead. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, but he should have thought twice. He's a compassionate person that thought once. Arkansas heat that a cow wants. Total's truck. Do you try to help the cow? He didn't know, everything was, Cal's dead. But, I mean, he said it was like hitting a building. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Because it was so big. Yeah, we don't really agree with this one, but it's your segment. So go ahead. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. Here's a voicemail you got yesterday. I just wanted to commend Eddie on not using the handicapped spot. I am paralyzed and I have a traumatic brain injury.
Starting point is 01:04:16 And I depend on the handicapped spot to even be able to get out of the car. And I just want to say, good for you, Eddie. I am proud of you. But he did use it. I think he might have I think the guy might have seen the clip on socials. Because Eddie didn't use it when he So I'd like to reset
Starting point is 01:04:34 I want to reset this up though for listeners that don't know what we're talking about. Eddie rented a car during his vacation. Eddie flipped a flopper down that blocks the sign. The visor. Down flops. The handicap tag. On my lap.
Starting point is 01:04:47 And he said it was sent from God. At the start of my vacation. A beautiful gift. Yes. And he said as much as he wanted to, He did not use it. Correct. That was in Utah.
Starting point is 01:04:57 In Utah. But you felt like in California. I still didn't use it until... Until... I went to the Griffith Observatory up by the Hollywood sign and there were 20 open spaces and there was no regular parking. Until... I did use it one time.
Starting point is 01:05:13 You did use it. I used it one time. Stop giving them credit. I'm very sorry. But I didn't keep it and I thought about like, should I take this home with me and use it in Nashville? No, because that would be evil. You don't get bonus points for. not committing a crime or not doing something wrong.
Starting point is 01:05:26 Hey, I was thinking today maybe I do some murder and some bank robin. I decided not to. Hey, how about an award for me? Thank you, everybody. Wow. Good for you. Thank you. Commend me. I can't.
Starting point is 01:05:39 I can't. So I got a question. Did the social media clip edit out the part where Eddie used it? No, but we flipped so fast. I watched it and I laughed out loud. Funny segment. I think I haven't wrote on there. That was funny.
Starting point is 01:05:49 But at the end, Eddie's like, yeah, and then I used it. I wasn't going to cut that part out. That's part of the story. We'll see tomorrow. Bye, everybody. Bobby Bones.
