Someone on the show was reported to Crime Stoppers by a crime they committed trying to get the reward money.  We worry they will get arrested after leaving the building. Bobby talked to SJ Tuohy who is the one behind the auction Bobby bid on and won the prize that was converiverial. He finds out if the prize was meant for a kid and if he can still do it. Morning, studio. Morning. I want to go over to my friend S.J. Tuey, who is, I believe his title is Associate Athletic Director at Orr Roberts. Is that correct, S.J.? Associate Assistant. I'm actually the Deputy AD. I think it's a way to get people to new jobs about giving him a raise. Got it.

Deputy AD. I knew it was one of those words. that meant like up high but not at the absolute highest yet. So he's my friend and he put an auction up and so I bid on some stuff. And literally just to lift prices up hopefully so they can make more money. One of the things that I bid on and I won and I talked about it on the show was this broadcaster for a day. So SJ, can you tell me what exactly, since I won this, what exactly broadcaster for a day does? Well, I text you this when I saw the first night you bid on it, is I think a body.

Bones Wednesday is different than if, you know, John Smith from Tulsa, Oklahoma wins it. I think now the broadcast for a day has really changed. And now I think we're talking about smoke entrances and the whole deal. But no, it's come down to the game. We have a full voice of Golden Eagles and Connor Clark is really good. So kind of like, you know, for you, you know, Chuck would be for the rage of action. He does all of our home and road basketball games, baseball games, soccer games here. So for basketball, you'll be right there beside them on the court side.

You know, we're, we don't put ours up in the booth like the NBA. They were on the court. So we're on the court with him. And I told him, it's not your discretion. Are you to play about play guy? Are you the color guy? I mean, who knows what you want to be? I think it's now scaled up that you've won this.

Now, was this originally meant for a child to win? It was meant for someone of a youthful nature to win. So yeah, okay. Because it was a cartoon. It was like a fun cartoon. And it was like, broadcaster for a day. And I was like, that'll be fun. And then I won.

And so actually, I'm getting just trolled at the show. They're giving it to me. They're like, no, you can't do that. That's for a kid. What do you say to that? First off, I tell you, no addition to the clip art. I made that in my office at 1.30 the morning on Wednesday night, okay? I didn't have a good photo of Connor.

He's still relatively new here. The art had nothing to do with the child. The item had a little bit to do the child, but not because of the clip art. And I think, I think, look, I was at UCF a couple years ago. We did it in an older gentleman. And it's 60. He did it and had the time of his life. So I think it's someone who appreciates a good time, whether that be a kid, which it was intended for, or you.

He's going to say that. Okay, can I do this then? Could I pay double? And then in another instance, a kid come and actually, like, he doesn't have to do, you know, whatever I'm allowed to do because obviously I've got a tad bit of experience. But can he, like, watch and, like, put the headset on and do that kind of stuff? Can I pay double for a kid to also do it as well? Fiscally speaking, paying double would still come out behind because I threatened several people last night not to bid on it. Okay.

How much do you want? How much do you want? So you put a fundraising guy in a hard position and, like, you know, reliable. Do you want a thousand dollars? If I give you $1,000, will you let a kid do it as well? If I give you $1,000, I'll let your dog zoom in and do it. Excuse me $3,000, I'll let your dog zoom in and do it virtual. Okay.

Well, say what, you did your game last year, the, the Bybones game, which were coming up on Hoops season. And those are only $500. So maybe I can do like a, about during the ByBones game this year and have that be the game. We did the broad catch for a day. Do a giveaway to a local like Boys and Girls Club. Get them down there, do the whole thing. Okay. This is what I'll do.

I will donate, regardless of what he says, I will donate $1,000 to the cause. and at SJ's discretion, we'll find a kid in the local Tulsa area that can come and do broadcaster for a day. Show, are you guys cool with that? Yes. Yeah, yeah, that's better. Do you not think I should do it?

Well, now that you're bringing the kid in, yes, absolutely. Well, I'm not bringing the kid in with me. I want my time to shine. I'm bringing in the... The kid's just going to watch it. No, no, no, the kid's coming in a different time so I don't take it away from him. Well, then there you go.

Yeah, the kid just like watching on a different day. Oh. I love that. Yeah. Well, we get the best of both of us here. Everyone, this is win for everybody. They get more money. I get to do my thing.

Okay. And then the kid comes in and gets his, gets to be treated special. Perfect. Okay. I can't support that. I'll tell you who was a little like, uh, and not intimidated by it. No, I'll say intimidated. The voice of the Golden Eagles Connor is a really good dude.

He's a young kid. He has a 60-year-old voice in a 23-old body. And he sees that he won it after. And he's like, I like, uh, this guy's like a pro. You know, I just started doing this. Like, yeah, they didn't do sports, Connell. You do like, you know, legitimate. sports every day.

He's like, yeah, but like, I don't, this is a bad look for me. Like if he's, like, they're going to, I'm like, well, I'll say what, we cannot afford him. We can afford you. So we'll be fine. I promise you. You'll still be the worst of those needles after the game's over. He's 23.

Well, I feel very offended that I don't do sports. I did many years doing play by play and color for division two after college. So I got a little that in my belt. And I was just nominated for an Astra podcast award against new heights and pardon my take. So that's not play by play, Bobby. It's not play by play. I'm just saying. and life is play by playing.

Do I talk about that guys every day? Yes. Yeah. Exactly. Good point. Life is played by playing. Put down the pillow. Eddie.

Life is played by play. Put it all over the house. Okay. So that's what we're going to do so everybody can get off my case. I will make sure that a listener gets to go. A kid gets to go and do this. Yeah, a local kid. In the Tulsa area.

Should I find the kid? No. No, no. Like what age group? He said they could. He said they have a local boys and girls club. Okay, great. Great. Okay. I'll make sure.

Okay, S.J, that is going to be what happened. I don't think that way for the interest and find the kids, certainly what we know. No, I don't want to find a kid. No, no, no, no. My hobby is not finding kids. I'm having fundraiser. You've got so much that. No. I will let S.J. find the kid. I'm happy. And I'll make sure that they get a thousand bucks. And I'm going to go do it. And then the kid can do it, but not at the same time.

But I've noticed recently He's become increasingly sensitive About his phone He always has it on him Never lets me see who he's texting I trust him But this behavior is making me a bit paranoid Should I bring this up

Or do you think I'm overreacting? How far should my trust go? Sign, trust on the line. First of all, follow your gut on these. Always, always. If something's different, there's a reason something's different. Now, it doesn't have to be these cheating on you, although that's where you go.

It could be preparing to propose to you. There are many things, but we always go to the worst. So your gut says something's up because something is different. Something feels different, so something is different. It's up to you to kind of figure out what it is. you don't have to be super aggressive and make him reactionary to it. For example, I have always since the beginning of time with my wife when she was my fiance before that, my girlfriend, my phone stays face down all the time.

It's never not face down. To some people, and I've seen them say it online, that means he's cheating. Well, my situation's a bit different because where I am trained is during the show, my phone stays face down. so alerts aren't going off, so I'm not distracted by it so we can do this show. My sound is also never on. But those are habits that I have based on the situation that I live in. But I haven't changed.

Now, when someone texts me, for example, I get text, you can read the first three lines of the text, right? So I got a couple texts now. You can read the first three lines. If my wife were to see that I had changed that to where it's just a name and it says sent you a message, I would think that she would go, well, that's weird and different. I wonder why that has changed. And I would expect her to go, why'd you change what's new about that? I think it's okay to ask him why he's being more secretive, generally.

But as soon as you accuse him of something, he's going to get so defensive, you're not going to get the truth. You're going to have to find out the truth. It just could be he's hiding things from you for a good reason too. He's probably cheating. But it could also be a good reason. Because whenever I was for Christmas once, my wife wanted an outdoor fireplace. And so we were leaving town because going to shoot part of a TV show was going to be gone for a week.

And I'd schedule with this guy to come build this outdoor fireplace while we were gone. And so I made sure my phone, the face was never near my wife because I didn't want her to see at all in an email subject to anything. And we're in the back of a car. And I get an email right then. And we're looking at my phone is what sucked. We're looking at like some pictures. I got an email and that top thing comes down. Brun tells you what it is.

It goes, fireplace schedule to be made. Oh, boy. I was hiding my phone more so than normal to hide something good. So if you think you could be like maybe proposing, factor that in. He's probably cheating. But just know that it could be good as well. That's my thoughts on it.

Amy? Yeah, I have an intentional dialogue script. It's good for everybody. You just fill in the blank and it's so, so good. Oh, I love MadLibs. Yeah. This is fun. Yes, I love MadLibs.

My friend that's a therapist, she gave this to me and it's so good. And it's when you, blank, you fill it in. So when you are secretive with your friend. Mad Lips. Skydive. Okay. Fun. I feel.

Nervous. Okay. And the story I make up is. I'm going to die. Which in her case would be, you're cheating. Oh, we're doing her. Oh, I thought we're doing me. Skydine is kind of fun, though.

Oh, okay, let me be here. Go ahead. Okay. When you hide your phone. I feel anxious. The story I make up is that you're hiding something from me. And what I need is for you to let me know that it feels that what you're doing is safe for me. I don't think it has to be you have to reveal what you're doing.

Yeah, this is just, this is such a good script to have in your back pocket for any relationship. Like I've used it with my kids. I've tried to give them this as a tool to like use like my daughter had an issue with like a friend once. And I was like, hey, maybe try giving it to your friend like this. So that way your friend doesn't get defensive because you're literally just saying when this happens, this is what it makes me feel. And the story I'm telling myself right now is blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then you may find out like, oh, it really is you've been making up a lie.

Or you may come to find out that. That's good. It's true. I have a script. What is it? Here we go. you're awake i told him we'd be here for a while they don't leave you alone who them malcolm turns his head licking around the room who doesn't leave you alone them malcolm leans forward his expression one of concern

they don't leave you alone what do you mean it sounds like a movie script it's six cents yeah i keep i keep this script nearby too just for moments like this when we need a script yeah yeah i get it there's those kinds of scripts and then there's intentional dialogue love scripts. Yeah. Makes sense. I won't get you, man. He may not be cheating on you.

Right. So, and I wouldn't even pressure him to tell you what it is, but just tell you, allow you to feel safe with whatever he's doing. There you go. I appreciate that. Thank you. Close it up. I want to go over and talk to Alyssa, who's in North Carolina.

Alyssa, what's going on? Hey, good morning, studio. Morning. Oh, that's so cool. So I just need some advice. I have a 10-year-old daughter. She's in fifth grade, and she has been nominated by some of the staff at her school. to attend a leadership camp for next summer.

It's at a college campus. It's a five-day camp. It's expensive, which is fine. But is it worth it to do that as a 10-year-old or to table that and wait until they're older? You know, what's the pros and cons of doing it at a young age if it's not really going to go on like a resume or something? It's a great question.

I love the question. How much it costs? About $3,000. Do you have that? Yeah, I mean, you can make payments, so it's doable. So does she want to do it? Yes, she does. There's a commuter program.

She doesn't really want to stay on the college campus with people she doesn't know. She would rather do a commuter program, stay in a hotel, and go back and forth every day, which is an option as well. So if the money is not an issue and she wants to do it, I think this is extremely beneficial for somebody that is nine to 13 years old. I would say like that's the introductory level of learning leadership that can be used in school, that can also be used with their friends outside of school or even things that are school adjacent, like sports, extracurricular activities, getting ready for college. And I know you're like 10, but I started to do, man, key club. I was in boys state.

I was on all these things. Now, I didn't have much structure growing up, meaning I didn't have, you know, two parents, sometimes didn't have one parent, sometimes had a grandparent. So all of this to me was so vital because I had really no taught discipline unless the taught discipline was from an organization like this or was from like a football coach starting at like 12 years old, that type of stuff. So I would say if she wants to do it and you can afford it, I think it's fantastic. Now, if you really have to stretch yourself, I don't think that it's worth setting the family

back on bills because it's not like what does she want to do for her life at 10 I know it's not the same thing but what does she want to do for life right now she wants to be an orthodontist and what is this you ask her today yeah what what is this class teacher so it's like a steam type program a leadership steam so there's like there's going to be a day where it's medical stuff and there's a day where it's like engineering so every day there's different professionals that are coming in to do like hands-on, um, damn type things to kind of learn more about that. Um,

she has started making some bracelets to sell so that she can help raise money to be able to go. So I know that she wants to do it. Um, I was just curious on the long run, you know, in long term, is it worth it to do it now?

I think it is if you build on it with other things. And I think the fact that she's a she and, and she's going to invest in science, uh, because I think a lot of times our education system, they don't always look to girls when it comes to math and science. unfairly and I think that that's what she wants to do like medical math science I think that's awesome like get her so educated how much of the bracelets I'm gonna buy a bunch of bracelets can I buy bracelets

absolutely they're she's selling them for five dollars a bracelet okay I want I want 100 okay wow awesome I want to make a hundred does you have to make a hundred bracelet you should just buy a bracelet for no no because I want people to do the work for the money too yeah yeah why would I just give out this is a this is a kid who's learning to work hard and you receive the rewards from the work that you do. So I want 100 bracelets and I will Venmo you $500, but it has to go towards her this program. Is that a fair deal?

Yeah, absolutely. That's great. Do you have a specific color of bracelets you want? I want them all different colors because I'm going to pass them out and sell them for $6 each. Oh, and then I'm going to make a profit. That's pretty smart, dude. That's what Bobby learned at Key Club, but he was 10. Yes, yes.

That's pretty good. And number one, Amy. Okay. She is the most likely to get on the show. Extremely high. She's warm, sincere. You can tell she'd be nice to everybody in line. She might not scream and jump as much as others,

but if she showed her goofy side during the pre-interview, the producers would love her positivity. Amy, at number one, which is why we got to send her out there. Yeah, I mean, I think I would jump it to freak out. Yeah, you would. Yeah, you would, because you would just be genuinely excited. It wouldn't be a show. I would really, really, really need to practice.

But would, I think if you practice so much, you lose some of the excitement of it. Yeah. Like, I think you just go up there. I know what we played in here the other day, I was so off on that shuffleboard. Yeah, but it's like studying for a standardized test. You can't really learn everything. It's a lot. You can just learn, like, what they're going to ask you.

I wanted to see if it was real I mean, that's actually, that's kind of... Okay, but was he a kind of buddy? Was he a burglar? No, he wasn't a burglar. The police cleared the scene after questioning and they believed him and said, good Halloween costume. Wait, for real?

So you thought he was a real burglar and that was his out? Yes. And now he was a for real Halloween burglar? I feel like this is even dumber. Some guys put himself at risk when he's not even a burglary. burglar. Like you're not even getting the joys of burglaring.
