If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right. It wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Yeah. Listen to Thanks,
Starting point is 00:02:22 Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Owens, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Alespian.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is love trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faced. consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
Starting point is 00:03:06 podcasts. Welcome to Thursday show. Morning studio. Morning. All right. Give me the three things right now happening in your life. Well, I have an upcoming trip to California that's sort of really stressing me out that just got thrown on my calendar.
Starting point is 00:03:35 And speaking of travel, my sister is coming to town and she's going to meet my boyfriend. for the first time. So that's really exciting. Have they FaceTime or anything? They have FaceTime, but they've never met in person. So. It's all adults, though, right? I mean, you're not like worried that somebody's not going to like somebody.
Starting point is 00:03:54 No, but just my sister is my family. Like, that's my, you know, it's not like he can meet my mom or my dad. So it's like she's representing herself, my mom, my dad, the family. Yeah. You put a lot of pressure on her there. There's a lot of pressure. All your dad and family members. Yeah, I get it as important.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Yeah, because she's, you know, she's, you know, that role for me now. Like she's everything. But she's not going to come away and go, no, I don't think that's the one. I sure hope not. Got it. Okay. But is a part of you concerned that she'll say, nah, not for me? No. I mean, her husband came to town a few months ago and met him. So I think maybe he gave the thumbs up. So that helps. But canary in the coal mine. You're good then. Yeah. You never, you never know, though. Uh, I mean, because also you still need to meet him. What if You meet him and you're like... Yeah, I don't meet anybody anymore.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Why? Generally, ever. But... I'm good. I know I will eventually. You're joking. No, no, I will eventually. And I feel like we've met them already.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Yeah, we know them from all your stories. But that's, what? We know them. But no, that's not the same thing. I'm just saying I don't do anything anymore. Yeah, well, you can do this. I will. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:01 Yeah, no doubt. Yeah, because I feel like... My wife and I've talked about it for like four months. I know. But my sister meeting him, it's like, oh, check that box. And then it reminds me like, oh, oh, shoot. Okay. yeah, like, there's people I have on a list that, like, I need y'all to meet.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Has your wife met him? Yeah. No. No, that's what we've talked about. We sent lunchbox. He was our canary in the goldmine. Yeah, I met him. You're saying goldmine?
Starting point is 00:05:22 Yeah, not at coal mine. No, you're not in the gold mine. No, you're not in the gold mine. I did go meet him, and it was... You ran into him. Yeah, it was interesting. I'm surprising you picked lunchbox over us. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:05:32 It was all organic, which is awesome. Mostly early, this is the real reason behind it. Mostly early. you definitely had I'm single again and I was like I don't want to be any dude she's dating yeah nor did I want any of y'all too right so I was just like you know dudes let dudes be dudes and Amy can do her thing and then eventually
Starting point is 00:05:50 one will catch that I thought like a good one will catch I really wanted to meet the young one yeah the one that I did I did actually oh you did me that was way after I know but it was accidentally we walked in we were in line next to him and I was like I was like oh the cute little kid here and Caitlin knew him how old are you little kitty and Caitlin's like no that's the guy Amy was You want a lolly follows? So, yeah, I just was like, I'll let Amy do a little single phase.
Starting point is 00:06:15 And then when one catches, well, one caught. And so, yeah, at some point, I'm sure we'll get it on. Okay, so my sister's needing him for the first side. I want to play basketball on his court. My foot's broken. Yeah. Yeah. I'm waiting for my foot to get better.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Oh, okay. And then third thing would be, well, speaking of the boyfriend, I'm trying to figure out what this means, but we met. with like a contractor at his house and then he wants my input on certain things because he's going to be doing some renovating there and I'm like what does this mean so I think he's a dude and you want somebody with a decent whoa oh I'm overthinking it oh it's not like is our house yeah that's actually we'll be our house I wouldn't attach myself to that how much input do I give no I think it's just aesthetically you probably have a better outlook than he's
Starting point is 00:07:08 he does. I don't think it's so much like this is going to be your nooks. I want you to really be a part of it. It could be, but I'm saying I wouldn't assign that. Dudes or dudes? Okay. And it's like we're doing some stuff on the inside part of our house. I need another set of eyes.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Yeah, somebody I trust. He doesn't care about. Yeah, but he's like trying. Like, he hasn't said it directly, but he's sort of like, yeah, I'm trying to figure out like, how do we expand this to make more room? Well, if they said for like room for your kid, then it's different. I just wouldn't attach, but I wouldn't attach yourself only to that right now. He just maybe wants somebody he cares about, somebody loves to say, hey, help me out with this.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Okay. And I'm definitely overthinking that. You might not be, but there's a possibility you are. So go ahead and stay on the part of your not. Okay. Don't ever think it. What about testing him like, oh, we would be perfect if we did this for our house? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:03 I would never. Stop. I could not. That's good. That's actually not bad. You want me to walk in there and use we and R at his house? Yes. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:08:13 I don't think I could do that, but I mean, I'll do it for the bit. I wouldn't. I don't think it's worth it. I don't think it's worth it. I don't think it's worth any talk accidental toxicity in the relationship. Yeah, I was just kidding. So those are my three big things. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Mine are number one. My wife's pregnant, obviously. It's a big thing. That's dominating our life. She's very pregnant. And so every day something new. Not good or bad. Just different.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Like, she needs different kind of pillows now. She's very pregnant. Even for her, it's everyday something new. She's like, I can't believe this is happening. Like, what's going on here? Like, she's very pregnant. It's weird. It's cool, but it's also weird.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Yeah. It's weird. Yeah, so it's a baby. It happens to everybody, so it doesn't seem as weird to us because it happens all the time. But it's crazy that another human grows inside of human. That's matrix type stuff. Yeah. So that's number one that is dominating the life. Number two is I only have one working foot because I'm still on a scooter. My week one was, I was in a cast, week one and a half.
Starting point is 00:09:21 Week two and a half to three, I'm in a full walking boot, but I can do no pressure on my foot at all. So I can't put any body weight on it. I'm going to physical therapy. And then week three and a half to like eight, I can walk in the boot. But it sucks. This is because everything gets slower now. I just want to dunk again. I've mentioned that before. I know, man. I can't wait to get back.
Starting point is 00:09:41 The way things used to be. Being back on the streets, just playing some pickup. Dunking. Dunkin it up. The third thing is probably holidays. We're just kind of figuring out where we're going. Because it's always the balance back between Arkansas and Oklahoma. So it's like, do we go to, you know, Port Gibson first, where she's from,
Starting point is 00:10:00 and then go to Fayetteville after that. Fayetteville, how do we get? This is it's it. It's easy. But what's great is, we have the greatest. excuse in the history of mankind. Yeah, you're a big thing number one. And, well, no, we got two. Not yet. And my foot. Oh, the foot's good. We got a pregnant lady and a broken foot. So your third big thing in life, it's sort of like your first and second
Starting point is 00:10:18 thing helped take care of that. Yeah, well, we're going still. That's fate. We're going still. Yes. Yeah, this is your Christmas gift. And another thing that I will address just because I've gotten some messages about it. I'm not, as far as I know right now, I'm not going to ESPN. So did you see the article written about me? Yeah. I was assuming you weren't because I haven't heard anything here. Let us know we all need to pack our back. No, no, I know.
Starting point is 00:10:47 I was curious about it for a second and I was like, you know, if it ends up being a thing, he'll tell us about it and then we'll figure it out because I'm sure he can do both. Well, that's why I don't think it's going to happen. Well, there's a couple reasons I don't think it's happened. But yes, I would do both if it happened. Okay. So we're fine because somebody asked me. it if.
Starting point is 00:11:05 If what? I'm going to ESPN? Well, like, how we felt about our jobs. Oh, yeah, yeah. And I was like, I don't know. There was an article written about Paul Feinbaum, who I know and like, and he's a big sports guy, and he's on ESPN and he hosts. He's a part of a weekend ESPN show, The Travels, SEC Nation, and they listed people that
Starting point is 00:11:25 could replace him. And I was one of the people they listed. I have nothing to do with anything. So it was nice to you put on the list. I have no plans to go to ESPN. Yeah. Like, how do you get on the list? I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:11:37 It's kind of cool to put on that list. That is cool. So, I mean, if ESPN's listening, like, I don't care about their jobs. Let's go on. You guys can figure something out. I'm kidding. Yeah. Hey, they're good ESPN.
Starting point is 00:11:47 They're still figure it out. So, no, I'm not, that's, I literally am not involved in that at all. That was just put on the list. That article was published. And people were asking me about it. So there we go. That's three and a half things. All right, good.
Starting point is 00:11:58 The Bobby Bones Show. Big three stories. The big CMA awards last night. Let's check out the. Winner's entertainer of the year, the award goes to Lainey Wilson. Male vocalist of the year was Cody Johnson, and female vocalist of the year, Lainie Wilson wins again. Yesterday we were talking about how they got a meat cleaver, which is not a meat pounder.
Starting point is 00:12:22 It's like the big butcher knife into the airport. Like all of a sudden it's in the airport and they're like, oh crap. So then I said, I had a front-headed box cutter, had his pocket, got through security. I was like, oh. Then we started talking about country artists. like Scotty McCreary that accidentally took a loaded handgun, I believe, to the airport. And I said, I know Shea Mooney this happened to. Now, Shea Mooney is the lead singer of Dan and Shea.
Starting point is 00:12:44 I know Shea. We're both from Arkansas. We're friends. I was like, I know this happened. Now, maybe I just know. Because you guys looked it up on the internet. It was nowhere to be found. True or false?
Starting point is 00:12:53 Nowhere. Yeah, I couldn't find it. Not just our page. It couldn't be found anywhere. AI couldn't find it. So we got off the air and Shay texted me yesterday. He said, hey, I had like 10 people from home, text me because I wasn't awake yet when you were talking about this.
Starting point is 00:13:10 And you guys were talking about me bringing a gun to the airport. Ha, ha, ha, ha. That 100% happened. Oh. I have no idea how it was taken off the internet. I did not know it was possible to remove things or clear things from the internet. Now that I know you can, I might take some other stuff off too. Oh, so it got scrubbed.
Starting point is 00:13:31 They scrubbed it. Yep. One, we're not crazy. That's good. That is good. Two, who knew you could just scrub? Like every, like all. Dude, it's gone.
Starting point is 00:13:41 Like, nothing. It was so gone that we thought we were going crazy. No, I started to go Mandela Effect for sure, my own personal version here. So, yeah, that did happen. Did you watch any CMA awards? I did. Oh, good for you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:53 I'll watch none. Oh. I don't know if you guys are suffering from this, but when it gets dark, it feels 11 o'clock. Yes, it does. And like, it starts to get dark, and I'm like, I don't know, it feels like it's 10 p. Might as well go to bed. And I got a little surgery. I'll leave it there.
Starting point is 00:14:08 So I didn't watch anything, but I was glad to see Lainey won. Yeah. I was glad to see Red Clay Strays one. Yeah, that was cool. The band. The band award. The band award. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:31 The vocal group group, yeah. They won duo. Yeah. That's crazy. I would say one of my favorite performances was Shaboozy with Stephen Wilson, Jr. It was so good. And then I can't get Ella Langley's performance out of my head. She's from Texas I can tell by the way.
Starting point is 00:14:50 So good. I saw that one you look like you love me. Has that song won like three years in a row? Yeah. Does it feel like when we moved here, didn't that song win song of the year? 12 or 13 years ago? Last year, when we were there, it was one of my favorite performances of the night. Like, I was like, that is so good.
Starting point is 00:15:08 And so I don't know that it, I think they performed it. I don't know that they won anything. This is like one of those Shay things because I think I remember singing an old clip on TikTok of Johnny Cash introducing them at an old award show. And here they are, singing their new song. Yeah, good for them. I just feel like this song just keeps winning. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:27 Like for years. And maybe, listen, I worked on the ACM broadcast. I know it won there. Yeah, I think that's what it is. Yeah. Anyway, good. Good job, everybody. George Strait showed up.
Starting point is 00:15:36 So cool. He did? Yes. He didn't go to anything. Did he just happen to be in town? He was walking by? I go to that. When they said he was taking the stage, I was like, what?
Starting point is 00:15:47 And I thought he was going to perform, and I was freaking out. And then he presented the Willie Nelson Award to Vince Gil. Oh, that's cool. Who had the lamest performance? I'm just kidding. I didn't see any. I didn't see a single performance, so I don't know. Yeah, I can't recall.
Starting point is 00:16:02 call a late, I thought it was really good. I was just kidding about the question anyway. Old Dominion did do like a mashup of all their hits. It was a jam. You're telling me that Old Dominion has a lot of hits. Lots of hits. And are possibly one of the greatest bands of the last 25, 30 years of country music. Could be. Yeah, yeah. I feel the same way. It's amazing. Some people don't. I mean, they have hits. I just didn't realize they were that big. I didn't know. I didn't think. How much do you watch? I mean, we had it on the whole time. I mean, we were kind of eating dinner and hanging out. I had it on pretty much, yeah, the whole time. I didn't see the tail tail end because I was tired. It was like 945.
Starting point is 00:16:37 I was like, this is still going. Hey, Ramuneo, can you pull up the Red Clay Strait's performance on our show? I think what I like, I like, I really liked them as a personal. I liked them as a band. Before they were ever like considered country, I just loved them. Because they weren't really considered anything. And so I brought them in and I was surprised they all showed up, to be honest with you, because they looked like guys who stay out late.
Starting point is 00:16:54 Yeah. And they came in and just crushed. This is probably a year and a half, two years ago. And just let me know, no rush. we can even do it in the next segment. I got it. It looks like a hook, though. Of?
Starting point is 00:17:07 It's four minutes, though, so it might be. That's a heck of a hook. That's a heck of a hook. What song? Is it? No one else like me? Yeah. In our studio?
Starting point is 00:17:17 Yeah. Let's play it then. It's almost like I feel like Ray's just saying, yeah, like hoping he's right. No, I got the full one now. It's four minutes 49. But the hook was four minutes? Yeah, so it must just, he goes to the hook probably pretty quickly. Oh, and then you just let it roll.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Okay, got it. Then he just, it's the rest of the song after that. But he probably labeled it as hook because it starts right at the hook. The chorus for those. Okay, play whatever you want, dude. Here you go. Red Clay Strait's from our show. Congratulations to those guys.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Hit it. It's the anonymous by Kim Barbee. Oh, Bobby Bones. My wife just got a new job and she loved it because her coworkers are very cool. Yesterday, she came home talking about a new person she met there named, we'll call her Molly. After a description of Molly,
Starting point is 00:18:18 I knew that was the same Molly that I dated a bit before my wife. It was never anything serious. I'd have a feeling that at some point my wife is going to suggest meeting up with some of her work friends, including Molly. So do I wait it out and hope for the best, or do I let the situation be known in hope for the best?
Starting point is 00:18:35 Signed dating my wife's new coworker. Well, he didn't sign his name right there. He dated. Yeah, he dated. Yeah, he dated. Yeah, dude, you're already messing up your signature, this is it? You have to tell her. Here's why.
Starting point is 00:18:50 It's going to fester inside of you. And it's going to be something that you're always thinking about and you're always going to be worried if you're going to get caught. And it's nothing to get caught by. You did nothing wrong. So it's going to be a bit uncomfortable. It might actually be unpleasant for a minute. But probably not. It was before her.
Starting point is 00:19:09 And you're going to get some questions. Answer them all honestly and rip the Band-Aid off because what's going to be even worse and how uncomfortable it is for three, six hours, maybe a full night when you did nothing wrong is if later on you get caught not telling what you should have told. That's it. That's why I say. Sort of been in this situation a little bit with my current boyfriend where he didn't tell me something.
Starting point is 00:19:31 And I already knew because other people had told me. Jerry. Jerry. Yeah, he didn't tell me straight away. And he really didn't, he didn't know that I knew. But I knew. So I was waiting for him to tell me. And then it just never was coming out.
Starting point is 00:19:47 And then we, it's even seen this person. And I'm like, why is he not saying something now? Like, this is weird. So finally, I'm like, I know this. That's what you yelled. It's like I couldn't take it anymore. And I was like, I know this about you. I know.
Starting point is 00:20:01 I don't know. I'm not supposed to know it about you, I guess. But I know and I'm waiting for you to tell me. And his reasoning, I totally got it. And I know his heart. So he meant well and he would have eventually told me. But it would have been so much better if he just, told me day one, like whenever we knew we would have encounters with this person.
Starting point is 00:20:19 And that's from your perspective. Yeah. Even from the guy's perspective, dude, you're going to worry about this and think about it nonstop. Yes. It is going to be like weights in your pockets. So it's not going to be so much you can't walk, but it's going to be so annoying. It's going to be bothersome. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:32 And I would even think my boyfriend would tell you that now. He'd have been like, oh, it probably would have been so much better. It made more sense to just say it the minute that I knew they were going to see each other. Just do it, dude. Yeah. That's all. Just do it. Get it over with.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Yeah. And don't even be weird about it. Because it's not weird. It's fine. But it's weird if you make it weird. Yeah. If the presentation is weird, it's now weird. Yes.
Starting point is 00:20:54 And it's weirder if you wait. But if you just say it, like we're all mature people. Yes, people have past relationships. Just say it. Let me give you an example. Hey, you were talking about Molly. I think I used to date her before I met you. Not I think.
Starting point is 00:21:06 You know. Well, you don't know because you don't know who Molly is. You don't know for sure because he doesn't see. He hasn't seen a picture Molly. He's like, I'm pretty certain. Okay. So unless there's full certainty, but if you just say it like, hey, we need to talk. If you make it a big deal, it's going to be a big deal.
Starting point is 00:21:19 Don't say we need to talk. No, no, that's what I'm saying. Don't do anything like that. Just be like, hey, you're talking about Molly. This is weird. Coincense, but I think you said date Molly before I met you. It's not a big deal to you. It's not going to be a big deal to her.
Starting point is 00:21:29 It's my advice. Perfect. We just fixed it. All right. Thank you for messaging us, emailing us. Thank you. A win is a win. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:21:38 I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
Starting point is 00:22:49 You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hip-hift. by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters
Starting point is 00:23:16 into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Vodom. My next guest, you know from stepbrothers anchorman Saturday Night Live and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through and I know it's a place that come look for up-and-coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you,
Starting point is 00:24:11 which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfectant.

What is your favorite Dirk song? Oh, come a little closer. Sing it.
Starting point is 00:26:40 Come a little closer, baby. I feel like laying you down. What do you think is number one streaming song is? Hmm. Come a little close. Drunk on a plane? Yeah. Is it?
Starting point is 00:26:54 Yeah. I'm getting drunk on a plane. Everybody. See, if you can get number two. But, but caught it. Somewhere on a beach. That's number three. Good job, though.
Starting point is 00:27:06 Sipping something strong. Yeah. Mama riser. No, good song, no. I'll get up all the feet on them hotter. Alabama. Who? Alabama.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Oh. Yeah, yeah. Is that a hint? 10-pound hammer. Yeah. Betsy will. I need another. Becky.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Oh, Becky was a nine-pound hammer. Yes. Hold on. Give me more. What was I thinking? What was I thinking? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He wants a good of them from South Alabama. Daddy had a gun. I don't know what it is either of it. What was I thinking?
Starting point is 00:27:45 So his birthday, I spent a lot of time with Dirk's over the years. This went viral. We were talking about him and his wife sleeping in separate beds, and he explained why. I got rid of our bed and I've got two platform beds and two box springs and two mattresses. Like the monsters. I have my own duvet. She is her divvy. There's a clear line.
Starting point is 00:28:01 You can see the floor between her bed and mine. So it's like independent suspension. Why would you have a truck with leaf springs when you can have independent suspension so she can move around all she wants and because i'm just such a animal it's terrible she's like she's sleeping the couch now she's like there's next a room we have and she's just she'll go sleep in there and even last night we're like we've got to get this back on track and when that went viral it was only the headline dirks and his wife sleep in separate beds and that was it and he's like he also said before we did this podcast at my house he was like this is why i don't do podcast
Starting point is 00:28:30 because i'm gonna do yours i don't do podcast because i say stuff and then goes freaking viral and it's not what it was and it did obviously his favorite song to play live that he's not tired of yet. I mean, I never get tired of 5150 or what was I thinking. I still love what I think. It's still a huge song. I mean, I hold on. It's like a, I'm always, come a little closer.
Starting point is 00:28:48 He did four songs. I said, what's your one? He does all of them. So I've talked about this on the show, but he met Hank Williams, Jr. And he talked about Hank Williams, Jr. Would go to random people's houses with a metal detector. I love that. Can I come through your yard?
Starting point is 00:29:03 I've met Hank. I've always wanted to go to the, he comes around here, and he has that metal detector. goes to people's houses around here, it'll knock on the door. No, he does. He used to, I swear to God. You went to Tony Brown's house. And he said, hey, according to my old maps where your house is, was a historic battle, do you mind if I go back in your backyard, just do a few things? They'll go out there and go out there and going to dig the dirt up a little bit and stuff.
Starting point is 00:29:23 There are stories of people just getting a knock at the door and it's Hank Jr. With a metal detector. Yes. Chris Jansen's done it with him. Yeah. I mean, he knocks the door. He overlays his map over the current, you know, this area and goes and digs around stuff. That'd be pretty cool. That'd be a while. You get a knock. answer, hello? Are you ready for some metal deck? He flipped out on his daughter's volleyball coach. He'd just come off the road. He was upset. His daughter wasn't put in the game. And he talked
Starting point is 00:29:48 about confronting the coach. And then he realized, I'm not ready to be out in public yet. She's not getting in. She's like, no, I'm like, let's go. Oh, my daughter. Now she's screaming I'm trying to protect my daughter. Coach said something to me. I said something back to the coach. We walk off. My daughter's calling me, Dad, you're a psycho. I just wasn't ready to be back like off the tour bus and back in like a real world situation. Oh yeah. So emails and visitations and trying to just hat and hand back at the school like I am sorry. I am an idiot. So I do get like, especially my daughters are playing sports. I get this inner like soccer person, a soccer dad that comes out that's kind of I got a control a little bit. That's one of the better stories.
Starting point is 00:30:25 Yeah. That he's ever told. And we were talking about what was I thinking? He once stopped a music in a parking lot of a club to play that song, to play him that song. on guitar. And so here you go. And she met me outside and I played it for acoustically, like outside the club. Oddly enough, I fought really hard for that not to be the first single. What did you want to be the first single? A song called Wish It would break, which is a more of a country thing.
Starting point is 00:30:47 It's about wishing your car stereo would break because every song plays reminds you a girl. It's a great song, but Mike Dungan from Capitol's like, we're going to close it again. And you're glad it did. Yeah. Had his guitar. He was like, listen to this song. And it was what was I thinking? That's gutsy. Yeah. Happy birthday, Dirk Spindley, 50 years old.
Starting point is 00:31:02 It's time for the good news. Tell me something good. This woman, Levan, she was at Millennium Park in Chicago when she enjoyed her time there. Then she left. Then she panicked, realizing that she left her purse at the park. This had her ID, her credit cards, her medications, and several hundred dollars. Can't fly away if you don't have your flyaway credentials. That'd be a driver's license.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Yeah. So she's like thinking there's no way it's there. Somebody probably took it, but I'm going to go back, retrace my steps. She couldn't find it. So she went to a nearby gift shop. She walked in there. She's like, hey, have y'all seen a black purse or has anybody turned it in? Is there a black person here?
Starting point is 00:31:47 So two, like two minutes before she walked in, two ladies had turned in the purse to the gift shop. That's crazy with everything in it? Yes. Yeah. Do you get to, is there a black person here? What? I don't get it. Chit.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Oh, we always talk about chit. He walks in and he walks in and he goes, is there a black person here? and there's a white guy and a black woman and like, yeah, there's a black person here. She's like, she's like, why? I just like, just like looking for a black, is there a black person here? She goes, I'm a black person. No, no, black purse. Oh, here, here it is, black purse.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Yeah, purse, not person. Yeah, yeah. So. Have you ever lost your ID, driver's license or even passport, and you have to fly and you had to go through an airport without that? Well, I left my wallet at the airport, but I'd already gone through security. but I flew home and it stayed at the airport. Yeah, I guess I just wonder what steps you have to go through
Starting point is 00:32:41 because I'm sure it happens where someone's on a trip and they lose their stuff and they have to go to the airport without their stuff. Yes, I have done that before. I can't remember exactly what I had to do, but I produce some sort of like... Look, I promise. Me in sixth grade.
Starting point is 00:32:54 They took me through a checklist of certain notifications that proved that I was, in fact, Amy Brown. Ah, good for you. Yeah. I thought you could do that. All right, good story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:33:06 Abby, our producer and phone screeners in studio. You are a massive fan of what NFL team? The Denver Broncos. Do you get jealous of my Broncos helmet up here? Yeah, I do. It is a Bo Nix quarterback. Uh-huh. Signed Denver Broncos helmet.
Starting point is 00:33:20 She knew that. Big fan. Yeah. She tried to convince me to be a Broncos fan. And let me tell you, they're good this season. You guys pretty excited about that? I am. So a lot of listeners are like, why don't you give Abby the helmet?
Starting point is 00:33:32 Now, that helmet's worth a lot of money. I know, it's awesome. There are people, though, that, like, lunchbox say you're a poser. You're a poser. Okay. So if you... For sure. There's 100%.
Starting point is 00:33:44 That's all it has. I know, it's just 100%. I've never heard of talk Broncos anything ever in her life. But she's a huge Broncos fan. Yeah, because my family is. It's like a family. That doesn't mean you're a huge fan. Your family might be, but you just say you like the Broncos because your family does.
Starting point is 00:33:58 It doesn't mean you know anything about them. Like, your PowerPoint was just stats off the internet. Like, it's a nice stadium. It's a big stadium. I'm angry. I just like. Abby, I'm going to give you seven questions. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:34:09 If you get five out of seven, I will give you this helmet. Are you serious? This is a helmet that's around $1,000. Oh, my gosh. It's cool. Okay. You can have it. I'm nervous.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Five of seven. Okay. Here we go. Again, you are a fan of the Denver Broncos. That's correct. That's not an answer, though. Just making it. That's one.
Starting point is 00:34:28 What's the Denver Broncos current record? Nine and two. Correct. Wow, Abby. Hey, because I just won. Not bad. That's good. That's really good.
Starting point is 00:34:43 That's good. Okay, thank you. I'm a little nervous now. I've got to get for the helmet. That was a softball. I don't know. They're going to get harder. They're going to get harder.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Don't you worry. Hope not. Quarterback Bow Nix, who signed this, played at two different colleges. Can you name them? That was fun. Two different colleges. Okay. one was in Florida, Florida State.
Starting point is 00:35:10 That's your answer for one. What's the other one? Jacksonville. So Jacksonville and Florida State? Yes. That's incorrect. That's way wrong. It couldn't have been wrong here.
Starting point is 00:35:23 What are the right answers? Auburn. Okay. And then Oregon. I didn't know that. That's a fun fact. Who is the current Denver Broncos head coach? Sean Payton.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Correct. Okay. Good job. Who is Denver's wide receiver number one? See, I watch a lot of these at like sports bars. Heck, name any, name one, two, or three? Any wide receiver? Yeah, wide receiver one, two or three.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Dobbs. That would be the Packers. I watch a lot of Packers too. My boyfriend, I get confused. Your boyfriend's team. Oh, so confusing. Dobbin. Running back who's hurt.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Okay. Yeah, he's out for a few weeks. Yeah, that's not yet. He's running back. Okay. I would have accepted Corlin Sutton as the number one. Sutton. But also Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, Pat Bryan, a bunch of us.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Okay, let's just keep playing here. What was the last year of the Broncos won the Super Bowl? That was 2018. 2016. Oh, no. That was on my PowerPoint, too. Oh, no. Bigger-ray.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Okay, let's keep rolling here. Who kicked the 35-yard field goal to beat the Chiefs this past Sunday? It's not Dicker, the kicker. Correct. Not him. Because he plays for the... Bronco are Chiefs. No.
Starting point is 00:36:53 No. No. No. He doesn't? No. It's funny you know him, though. Chargers. Because it's Dicker, the kicker.
Starting point is 00:37:01 Got it. You don't know? Will Lutz. Lutz. Huge fan, guys. Who was the last game that Denver lost to this season? Last team they lost, too. What was the last game they lost?
Starting point is 00:37:16 What was it? Who was it? Not the Cowboys. No, you all beat the Cowboys. Wrong. I watched him, but I can't think of it. Nothing. Dicker the kicker plays for the...
Starting point is 00:37:33 You just said it. Chargers. Chargers. That's the answer? Yeah, 20-20 in week six. This is embarrassing. Who are the other three teams in the Broncos division? The Raiders, the Chiefs, and the...
Starting point is 00:37:56 Three seconds? Time? Also, the Chargers. Oh, my goodness. What is going on? I don't know. Like what? Eddie, laugh a little bit.
Starting point is 00:38:08 This is hilarious. There's a lot of pressure. What a big man, man. That football, I mean, the helmet's sitting right there. I know. How many Super Bowls have the Broncos won? How many have they won? Four.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Three. Oh my God. Get out of the room. I just go. And just getting your car and drive home. Do you know any of these? Yes. You do?
Starting point is 00:38:27 You probably know what to go. This is somewhat general knowledge stuff. It is. Maybe I wouldn't have got Will Lutz. But I think we don't probably. What's the name in their stadium? My High Stadium. You can't make your own question.
Starting point is 00:38:40 What are their colors? Blue and orange. Yeah. I would have given you that helmet. Where are they located? Denver. Can I study and we do it again? Nope.
Starting point is 00:38:53 I don't think so. Thanks. Big fan doesn't need to study there. Did you want that helmet at me? Yes. Look at it. It's like orange, like shiny. And it's got bone-knicks's autograph on it.
Starting point is 00:39:03 All right. She is. I'm not going to say you're a poser because I do think you watch the games. I will just say you're a casual. Will you accept that? A casual fan? That's what you call. Someone's a casual if they're not. You're casual.
Starting point is 00:39:14 You only, you don't really. She can still care passionately if they win or lose. She's a casual that cares. Yeah. She don't know that much ball though. John Elway, he used to be. You just say. What, what former Bronco do we have on 25 whistles this week?
Starting point is 00:39:31 I was listening to you guys talk. Yeah, who was that? You didn't know who it was? Sean. Ed McCaffrey. Ed McCaffrey. Heard of that. Heard of him.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Okay, there she is. Abby, everybody. No helmet. I saw that Jane Seymour, I don't know. She's getting married again? Fourth Time, Lodgewarks? No, she found love again after her fourth marriage ended. She's just so blessed.
Starting point is 00:39:56 Oh, she's been married four times already. This is five. And, I mean, to me, I see this. And I think, does this? guy not know he's dating a crazy woman? So who is Jane similar to you guys? Because she's Dr. Quinn, medicine woman. That's what she is. Or in
Starting point is 00:40:12 Wedding Crashers. Mm-hmm. Yeah, Dr. Quinn first, wedding crashers second. I'm sure she's had other roles. Pretty hot for an older lady. Well, she says 70s the new 50. Yeah, because she found love again after being married four times. Did they all die or something? No, no. No. Well, maybe some of them. Maybe. Maybe. Because if they all die, then we didn't look into her.
Starting point is 00:40:32 That's the Jane Seymour thing? Jane, I do think you're allowed more marriage as the older you get before we start to go. That's crazy. Like, J-Lo. How many times you've been married? Three or four? Chris Judd, Mark Anthony, Ben Affleck again. Did she marry him twice?
Starting point is 00:40:52 Did she marry him twice? But I think it's different if you're 50 and you're married four times and 70. Oh, the baseball player. A, Rod, she was engaged to. Four, she's been married four times. Yeah. You know, would we be saying the same thing if this was a guy finding love? Yes, because we make fun of DiCaprio like crazy and he's never even been married.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Like Lunchbox said, this guy has to know he's dating a crazy girl. So like would we say the guy's crazy. Yeah. No, we would say DiCaprio is creepy. Okay, now, fast forward. A 70-year-old man is on his fifth relationship. Is he crazy? I would say he's probably awful.
Starting point is 00:41:27 I think there'd be something. My dad found love five times. he was not awful. I must say. Awful at love. My dad was so great. Bored. Yes, he had his flaws, sure.
Starting point is 00:41:40 I didn't say flaws. My dad did. He did. Jennifer Lopez been engaged six times. Okay, she's crazy. See, my dad wasn't crazy. She's smoking hot, but she's crazy. Childhood wounds that he never dealt with.
Starting point is 00:41:52 He never dealt with. He was lonely. Dvorse, Jane Seymour. Dvorse. Dvorce. Morgan. So Jane Seymour says she was married to. men who had different issues and she never ended the marriages they did by finding other people. Is what she says of all of them.
Starting point is 00:42:06 They all had different issues. Okay, so does that mean she sucks in? Probably. If all four were like, I can't envy with her. At marriage? Yeah. Oh, see, my dad always found different relationships. Yeah, he was married four times.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Were there ever overlaps? What do you mean? Yes. All of them. But do you know what I'm asking? Yes. No. Say it again?
Starting point is 00:42:28 Were there ever overlaps? Explain what that means. You know what I mean. Cheating? All of them. Oh, you knew what I was saying. Yeah. Got it.
Starting point is 00:42:38 Got it. He was a lover then. Every single one. It was a pattern. He cheated on every wife? It was a pattern. Yeah. And married the next.
Starting point is 00:42:45 Like he would leave Mary the next except for then when his fourth marriage ended. Jane Seymour, he was one of them. And I don't think he ever on his fourth marriage. I don't think he did. That ended for different reasons. and then... That was his last... Second of last.
Starting point is 00:43:01 That was his last marriage, but then he was in a relationship with my sister's husband's grandma and then they died. Sisters husband's grandma. That's how that is. Whoa. During an interview with Hello Magazine,
Starting point is 00:43:12 Jane Seymour opened up about finding loving in her 70s after being married four times. Yeah, four times. Two years ago, she met a mercy room doctor and musicians John Zambetti, who she calls amazingly brilliant.
Starting point is 00:43:24 She admitted to the outlet she doesn't think a healthy, loving relationship was possible at her stage of life. Regardless, I ain't going to shame. Do your thing. Because she could be great, just like my dad was great. And so I think the older you get, the more room there is. But if you have four, they all jumped. It doesn't matter if it's him or her. In life, there's often a common denominator when things happen multiple times.
Starting point is 00:43:47 Yeah, she kept choosing toxic men. Oh, come on. No, I think they just like the, the, or she's a talk. So, there's some toxicity somewhere. She either has a bad gauge, or she is it herself, one of the two. Don't people just like the love feeling? And when you're married for more than five years, that feeling kind of just, it's different. By the way, Eddie thinks that Morgan and a boyfriend broke out. Oh, it's just a theory.
Starting point is 00:44:12 Why? They definitely didn't because she's talked about him a lot lately. And that's part of it. I think there's overuse of the my boyfriend stories, one. And two, the other day she was just like, it was a random Thursday or Wednesday. She's like, yeah, I went out last night. and I went on a party bus
Starting point is 00:44:28 And I was like Two nights in a row She went on a party bus I assumed her boyfriend was with her Single behavior Yes that's what she was doing When she was single Is she our Jane Seymour
Starting point is 00:44:36 Morgan? I'm very much still with my boyfriend And yes he was on the party bus With me and no I'm not Are Jane Seymour Okay I haven't been married at all yet Well no not married
Starting point is 00:44:47 She's like boyfriends Yeah Well yeah I've had a few boyfriends That's okay Have they overlap I'm just kidding No overlap Jane Seymour, do your thing, that's what I say.
Starting point is 00:44:59 Jane Seymour, do your thing. Ain't hurting nobody. We ain't judging. Lunchbox, she's like, she's married four times. She's crazy. I mean, her husband's didn't stick around long. Her first marriage, two years.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Second marriage, a year. I mean, come on, man. I think we all, would you agree that we all have some part of us that's absolutely insane? Yes. It just has to hopefully match the person's ability to handle our insanity.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Yeah. My boyfriend has been training me out of it. Okay, that doesn't say. Training you out of your craziness? I just caught up. It sounds like you're on a cult. No, I have a theory. It's a cult.
Starting point is 00:45:35 No, I don't think. He's training you? I don't know if he is, but I started to pick up on something that parents do, and I feel like he's trying to, because like my crazy is. He is older. He is older, yes.
Starting point is 00:45:47 But I, like, was used to chaos. I was in my marriage. He put you in a crate? No. Oh, no. Hey, you want to shut the chaos down? But sometimes, like, we're so, he's so level and, like, my nervous system is so calm around him. He's so level that for a while I would try to drum up a little drama because, like, you know. Okay, Amy Jane Seymour.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Okay. Amy Jane Seymour. No, I'm not. I'm not. But I would, I, I, and then I saw him, like, just ignoring it, basically. And, you know, like, they talk about when a kid falls down, like, the kid looks to the parent of, like, how am I going to be with this? And if the parent sort of ignores it, a lot of times the kid's fine. And they'll just get up and they don't cry and make it a whole thing. And sometimes when I try to like stir stuff up and make it a little less boring,
Starting point is 00:46:33 I've gotten better at it. But I realized that was one of my toxic things that I was bringing because I was like trying to create drama when it wasn't necessary. He would just straight up ignore it. Alternative theory? But here's the thing. Now I do it less. It's working. Alternative theory?
Starting point is 00:46:49 What is it? He's just tired. No, he's not tired. He's not tired. very active and has plenty of energy. I think he... Why do you say it like that weirdo? Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Just have a conversation.
Starting point is 00:47:03 You're so weird. Like you winked when you said plenty of energy. You make me feel weird. I don't feel weird at anything. I mean like he works out. I hear you. What did you mean by he's tired? No, Amy, you said it so like inappropriately. Anyway, I didn't wink. I'm pro Jane Seymour. Oh, whatever.
Starting point is 00:47:22 Yeah, I'm team Jane Seymour. Let people live their lives. Okay. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions,

I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings, I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up-and-coming talent. He said, if it was based so
Starting point is 00:50:00 on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be.
Starting point is 00:50:29 Right. It wouldn't be that. There's a lot in luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. This week on the Sports Slice podcast, it's all about the NFL draft, and we've got a special guest. The director of the NFL's East-West Shrine Bowl, Eric Galco, joins the Sports Slice podcast to break down what really matters when evaluating draft prospects. From hidden traits teams look for to the biggest mistakes franchises make to the players flying under the radar. This is the insight you won't hear anywhere else.
Starting point is 00:51:02 If you want to understand the draft like an insider, you don't want to miss this episode. Listen to the Sports Slice Podcast on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Slica Life 12 and TikTok podcast network on TikTok. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal.
Starting point is 00:51:25 The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected.
Starting point is 00:51:48 They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Gregalespian and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to a love-trapped podcast on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We have a big development in this story. So Scuba Steve, our executive producer, runs the show. he claims that had he just had a little help, he could have been in the NBA. And I'm like, hey, I get it. Maybe you'd have been a better basketball player, but you're not built like an NBA player.
Starting point is 00:52:39 But you do think with a little more direction, a little more support, you could have made the league. Most definitely. And my physical fitness is not. You guys have seen the worst version of me. 10 years ago, 15 years ago, I was freaking phenomenal. I hear you, but so much more is just like than how much you practice. How tall are you? I'm six foot.
Starting point is 00:52:56 A caller even said this. Scuba still thinks he could have played in the NBA. Dude, I watched the video of y'all playing basketball from whenever that was over the summer or whenever, Scuba. You have like zero athletic ability, according to those videos. Like, you could barely even dribble the ball. Just give up the thought that you could have made it to the NBA because it's like zero possible chance.
Starting point is 00:53:22 It's zero. I also think it's zero. I'd have been more loving about it and supportive. and I think you probably could have been a lot better if you'd have had a support system could have possibly even played high school ball and average seven a game. That's what I think.
Starting point is 00:53:37 That's why I think, between you could average seven to ten points a game in high school if you had had good, responsible guidance. Oh, he didn't even play high school ball? No, I did. My dad left when I was nine. Oh, my God. That's what everything I did.
Starting point is 00:53:49 My dad left when I was five and I played high school football. So at nine years old is when his NBA... I stopped playing around like middle school. Our only point is, It doesn't matter what physical shape you're in. An athlete is an athlete and you move well. And so Scuba said he could outrun the fattest guy in the Titans. And I said, I don't think that's true.
Starting point is 00:54:08 So we have, I've selected the largest man on the Titans here. It's J.C. Latham, offensive tackle, who's really good. He's 6'6, 342 pounds. Now, I'm not going to get J.C. to come up here and run against Scuba in the middle of the season. But we do have his 40 time. when he ran at the combine or his workout. And his 40 times is 5.46 seconds. So you're talking about 6.6.342.
Starting point is 00:54:39 Because Scooby said he could outrun any of the, what, big fat guys on the football team. This guy's muscular, though. He's not one of those guys with the big belly. I'm talking about like... No, no, no. Like refrigerator parry belly guy. You don't get to pick the physical shape and a silhouette. You said the biggest, fattest guy.
Starting point is 00:54:53 66.3.42 is an offensive tackle. He's not fat, though. 342's big, man. He's muscle. I'm looking at a picture right now. This guy is all muscle. It's like Rick Ross now versus Rick Ross back then. So you're talking about William the refrigerator Perry, right?
Starting point is 00:55:05 He ran a 4-6. Uh-oh. Wow. What about Daryl Singleton or whatever? Frickettari no way ran a 4-6. That's what it says, according to AI. I would argue that that's not accurate, a 4-6. However, not here nor there.
Starting point is 00:55:20 Oh, 4-8 when he weighed 315 pounds. So, Scuba, it doesn't matter which person you pick. I have every single person on the team. I don't think you can outrun a single offensive or defensive lineman. What's the highest time on that list that you have? I'm glad you asked. It's J.C. Leitam. Do I just talked about?
Starting point is 00:55:35 There you go. In 6-6-42, he runs one in 5.46 seconds. He runs what's the one? A 40. A 40, okay. So, if you beat 5.4-6, I'll give 500 bucks. All right, deal. What's on the line for me if I lose, though?
Starting point is 00:55:51 Exactly. Nothing. Nothing? I literally don't care. Okay. I want to draw hair on your head with a sharpie. Draw you a whole head of hair on your bald head with a big black Sharpie. Love it.
Starting point is 00:56:01 All right. Deal. So we'll do this. Oh my gosh. Next week or something. But I want you to stretch. Dude, you're going to. Yeah, stretch, please.
Starting point is 00:56:12 I'll have to stretch. I even have a hernia. I have surgery coming up. Wait, what? Yeah, because I finally was throwing up and I pulled a. Okay, see, it's always something. It's always something. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:56:23 You didn't say this when we were talking about. about it a few days ago. I didn't think where I was going to be put to the challenge on. I'm just talking crap. Guys, did I literally not say I'm going to find the slowest person on the Titans, find their time and scuba's going to run against him? You did. That literally verbatim. I know. We say a lot of things though. And he's going to donate a kidney and save the last. Stop that. Stay. Day. The real world and talk to Johnny Bananas. Okay. So, okay, if you beat 5, four, six, in a 40, I will give you $500 in cash. If you don't, we get to draw And you have to wear it for a week.
Starting point is 00:56:57 And so 40, that's 40 yards? No, dude, it's 40 miles. 40, oh, okay. No, I'm kidding. It's 40 yards. Okay. Like, what do you think he can run? Six.
Starting point is 00:57:07 More than six. I mean, they are moving. They're moving. I ran at South Carolina when I was best shape. Do you think you can run? I'm in a boot now. Do you think you can run faster than me? Yeah, I just know that when I run, like, this is how I remember running.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Is I ran so fast, I was scared to run because, I couldn't slow down. Like I would get to a point where I'm like, oh my gosh. Okay. I'm going so fast here. I've gotten myself into the stupidest conversation. Who has ever said that?
Starting point is 00:57:33 Forrest Gop. Who has ever said? I got scared for everybody else. Because I couldn't slow down. You can stop. Okay. You're so dumb. Scooba, make me this promise.
Starting point is 00:57:44 I've never met anybody that fast. I want you to stretch and we'll find a time to do it. We'll get you out somewhere. We'll do it. But don't run a 40 and don't measure it until we do it. Okay. I trust me, I won't have the time.
Starting point is 00:57:55 to do it, so I have no idea. Well, you'd have seven seconds. What about the hernia that we worried about the hernia? I think he just threw this in last minute. No, he had his surgery scheduled. Is it scheduled? Are you British? I've said scheduled.
Starting point is 00:58:09 I 100% said scheduled. Not scheduled. He picked up his shirt yesterday and showed me the hernia. But he didn't bring it up when we first talked about this. So now we can't do it? You know what? Screw it. I'll do it with the hernia because then when I beat that time with the hernia.
Starting point is 00:58:22 No, but you're going to use it as an excuse. No, I don't do excuses. You literally just said, well, I have a hernia. That was your excuse. My dad would have been there. Also, because I run too fast, I can't slow down. So I don't run. The reason of this bit.
Starting point is 00:58:37 Yes, because you made nothing but excuses. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Dog, three years old, did not complete the required certification to become a rescue dog with the police department. Because they test those dogs and they put them in situations. and they just distract the crap out of them to see if they break. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:59 And so couldn't handle not being distracted. Like, it's like they run like live animals beside them. I would be distracted. Anyway. They may have ADHD. So the trainer said, hey, you can't make him an official K-9. But the police chief decided, hey, love the dog. And so they've been using the dog in other situations, hospitals, any sort of comfort
Starting point is 00:59:23 situations. Like he does great there. and he was a dog they adopted anyway. So they took a dog, adopted it, trained it up. Again, it was too distracted, but now they found ways to keep the dog involved in doing good things for other people. Just not like drug busts and stuff. You know what, to be honest, it'd rather be that dog anyway. Yeah, it's more of like a therapeutic dog.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Like, I'm thinking if I'm a cop, I come back from a stressful run, like, you know, day on the road or whatever. Like, if I come back to the police station and I get to cuddle up with a dog. I don't know. I kind of want a dog that's bent there with me so I can talk about it with them. We have something in common. But yeah, big shout out to the police chief, Britt Smith, who talked about this and said, hey, even though the dog didn't make it, the dog still doing awesome things. And it's an adopted dog. That's from KCCI.
Starting point is 01:00:06 That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. And you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn. David's trying to put you through. Mike is right in his week's next bit. Now Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is. The Bobby Vaughn's. We have 90 seconds to get as many corny jokes as possible.
Starting point is 01:00:42 Let's do the investigative morning corny. The morning corny. What happened when the turkey got into a fight? Gobbled up. Gobble knockout. Brawl. Turkey bowl, turkey brawl. Black eye.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Black eye pee. Oh, that's good. I's feeling pretty good about that. Okay. And got no response. Fowl. Foul. Dressing.
Starting point is 01:01:06 Got the dressing. A dressing. Got the stuffing knocked out of them. Yes. Got it. What did the turkey say to the turkey hunter? Root, shoot me. Gobble.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Quack, quack. Oh, got it. Quack, quack. Yeah, to not be a turkey. Oh, got it. That's good. What do you get if you cross a turkey with a ghost? Boo.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Gaboo, gobble, gobble. Goboo. That's another good one. No. Turkey and a ghost? Phantom. Turky. Stuffing.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Ghost? Feathers. Ghost feather. Gobble. Ghiblet. Chicken ghost. Turkey ghost. Scary.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Caspers. Ghost. The ghosts. Thanks Halloween. Thanks Halloween. Poultry. Wings. Poultry geist.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Poultry geist. Poultry geist. That's it. Wow. Okay. Why did the turkey start a band? Drum stick. He's just.
Starting point is 01:02:08 Yeah. Okay. Go, go, go. Okay. Don't be stunned. Go. What do pilgrims use to make s'mores? Their macellas on their hats.
Starting point is 01:02:17 Hats and buckles. Charcoal. Mayflower. Mayflower. Oh. Oh. Oh, go. Go, go, go.
Starting point is 01:02:25 Oh. That was something with Mayflower. It has to be. No. Hill Graham crackers. Yeah, read the ones back. Read them back that we got. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:35 What happened when the turkey got into a fight? He got the stuffing knocked out of that. What did the turkey say to the turkey hunter? You can say quack, quack, quack. Good one, dude. What do you get if you cross a turkey with a ghost? Poultry geist. Good one, me.
Starting point is 01:02:52 That was incredible. Why did the turkey start a band? He had drumsticks. Everybody got around that one. What did pilgrims use to make some mores? Did you get that one? Pilgrim crackers. That's pretty good, though.
Starting point is 01:03:03 So what we get four? Got four. Nice job. Lobby Bones show. Bone head. This story comes to us from Thurston County, Washington. Three guys pull up to a ranch. They're going to break into the ranch house.
Starting point is 01:03:17 Only problem was there was 15 deputies out on the land practicing their target practice. No way. This is better than when they rob a cop shop with a cop or a Christmas shop with a cop. Yeah, go ahead. And they ended up, they were in a stolen car when they showed up. So not only they get busted for a stolen car, breaking and entering, had false identification on them. All that. I think that's worse than doing shop with a cop and you try to rob the store and they're all there.
Starting point is 01:03:44 That's funny. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. All right, voicemail. Whenever people call and they say, good morning studio. And then you all go, good morning. Do you actually say it every single time?
Starting point is 01:03:59 Or do y'all just have like a button that you press and it's pre-recorded? Because it always sounds exactly the same. And I'm really impressed with the way. that you guys keep it up every single time all at the same time. Thank you. We do not have a button that has us all doing that. We should have a button that has us all doing that. For example, like if I'm working out of my home studio and everybody's here and there's the latency of like point one second and it's all off, we should have a button, but no, we do it live every single time. I don't, I don't say it's a skill we developed. Is it perfect every time?
Starting point is 01:04:33 No, definitely not. It's perfect because you can feel the care and the warmth of it. Oh yeah. It's like rock and roll. It ain't perfect, but it's perfect. That's right. No, we do not have a button. So in the official way that goes down, if someone calls in and they say morning studio, they literally have to say that. Yes. Not morning, y'all.
Starting point is 01:04:52 Or like, hey, everybody, morning guys. Right. Morning room. Morning show. It's exactly if they say morning studio, then we all go morning like that. So sometimes it'll freak us out because they'll go morning stationary paper. And we're like ready to go. And we go.
Starting point is 01:05:09 That's awkward. Yeah. So no, that's us. It is not pre-recorded. We do it live. It's probably a question people wonder, though. So thank you for asking. We're done.
Starting point is 01:05:18 We will see you tomorrow. Goodbye, everybody. Bobby Bowles. The Bobby Bone Show theme song, written, produced, and sang by Reed Yarberry.
