It's time for the Bobby Bones post show. Here's your host, Bobby Bones. A little inside peak right now, as I have, you probably wouldn't notice, but I've had the same shirt on for three days, so people can't tell what day we, what clips from the show
Starting point is 00:03:43 happened. Really? Didn't notice. Honestly. Yeah, exactly. When you just wear a generic black shirt, nobody cares. So if you look at our Instagram, you're like Steve Jobs. You'd be like, I wonder what day this was on.
Starting point is 00:03:53 It doesn't matter. It's on the same day. I was wearing the same one in today. I was like, you're wearing the same shirt again? I was like, why not? She was like, classic you. And I told her why. And she goes, well, people don't look at Amy
Starting point is 00:04:04 and see what she's wearing. I said yes, but the front of that Instagram clip, though, is it always starts with me for some reason. I guess probably because I'm the one to start in the conversation. Yeah, I mean, I want to say that. Come on. Well, I don't mind having a uniform. I can start doing that too.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Uniform's are the greatest. That would be amazing. No pressure for work. No, you just throw it on, don't even have to think. I wear a uniform for everything. I can pick like raging idiots. We wear a uniform.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Oh, that was so great too. Like stress-free. When I would do stand-up, I wore the same thing every night because I wanted to one brand it wore a short-sleeve shirt with a tie. Wanted to brand it. And then also I don't have to worry about it.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Uniforms are great. I'm not trying to have any sort of creative... Expression. I don't care. Okay. Here's a voicemail from Kyle in California. Hey, Bobby. Me and my fiance are doing some wedding planning.
Starting point is 00:04:49 And I told her my plans for the wedding day. And she is shocked. and is saying no, and I wanted to get your advice on this. So my plan was for me and all my groomsmen to wake up early on the wedding day and go golf in and have a boy's day before the wedding and then go to the venue, get changed, and be ready to go for her wedding time. But she thinks we'll be too tired and she's saying no. So we'd love to hear your thoughts.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Thanks, Bobby. Do you have a history of getting tired quickly? You wears out. Yeah, if so, I would agree with her. But otherwise, especially if it's like an evening wedding, go play golf in the morning. get your mind off of it. Go have some fun. We don't have our... Listen, we ain't going to get married until August.
Starting point is 00:05:28 That doesn't matter. Are we going to play golf before the wedding? I don't think... I don't know. I'm not there yet. No. What? I wouldn't think you would. I played golf for my wedding.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Why would I not? The day of? The day of, yeah, the groomsmen, we all went and played golf and did a whole day of golf and went to lunch and then went and got ready and went to the wedding. Because I'm told I'm not getting ready at my house. Oh, you're not? I'm told I'm getting ready at a hotel. or something.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Oh. Because I think she's staying at our house the night before. We're not supposed to see each other that morning. We wake up. Oh, that makes sense. Okay, so I guess you could. So she won't know where I am. She doesn't care either.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Hey, party, what? Why are you waving me down right now? Because what I'm saying, I guess my concern was if you golf earlier in the day, but you, as you as the groom, you don't drink. So it's not a concern. I would just say for your groomsmen or whoever you're golfing with, if they start golfing early and the party begins, for them. You just want to make sure by the wedding time.
Starting point is 00:06:24 You can say no drinking while you're playing golf. We don't. We don't even do that anyway. We're past that. Yeah, we really don't. Okay. Nobody does. Maybe Rod will. I mean, occasionally there are people that do. Although Rod's out of groomsmen, but I'm saying, of our group that golfs,
Starting point is 00:06:40 the only person who occasionally have a drink is Rod. And they're drinking, like, seltzers in a year. Like a hard? Yeah, they'll be like, oh, let me go with those men love shelters. Man, I went snorkeling before my wedding, and I wasn't tired. You were also in Hawaii. Well, that's true. And also, you get that energy back, right?
Starting point is 00:06:59 You're not going to be tired for your wedding, trust me. I hope she hears this. You should be able to go and play golf. Just make sure you've got a few hours buffer, so you're not rushing home to get dressed and ready. Let's say you tee off at 8 a.m. And hydrate. You're done by 1230. Yep.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Eat some lunch at 1.30. The wedding's at 5 or 6. You got a couple. Have it, bro. I remember Ray's wedding? We waited for five hours doing nothing. Five hours. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:07:24 We sat around and I was like, what are we doing here? And then we sat around waiting for her to get there too. It's all delayed all the time. Listen, I know you guys' schedules are important, and I stressed it beforehand. Do they need to get there that early? And I was told by the wedding planner, the picture lady, yes. And there was a lot of downtime. We were watching football.
Starting point is 00:07:43 So Ray said we were going to shoot the bowl. And we shot the bowl, and then we ran out of bowl. We ran out of the other. There was no more bowl to shoot. We shot them all. Yeah. For a couple hours. We're looking for any bowl to shoot.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Yeah, it was a lot. But we're gonna, I feel like I might do something like that maybe. But also, my bachelor party will be in July. I feel like we'll get most out of our system then. Sure. I don't need to go to all the groomsmen that morning. Maybe just a couple. Sure.
Starting point is 00:08:10 That'd be fun. Yeah, go play golf. We're not going to be tired. Maybe we just like do some wrestling, backyard wrestling. But no, no, then we'd be really tired. Yeah. Yeah. I'm on your team, dude.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Go play golf. Hillary Duff to lead the How I Met Your Father Spinoff. Oh, okay. So they had How I Met Your Mother. It's over. Hillary Duff will be in How I Met Your Father, the sequel to the original CBS comedy. It'll have Hillary Duff as Sophie telling her son
Starting point is 00:08:36 the long story of how she met his father. It'll be set in the near future, bringing us back to 2021. Oh, okay. I like Hillary Duff. She's in that show Younger. My wife just started watching that. Younger's so good.
Starting point is 00:08:50 Oh. I'll watch, maybe. On this day in 1984, Nintendo released a video game duck hunt. Yes. Which, as a kid, was legit. Because Nintendo was crazy. The Atari had happened. And you're like, wait, we can take this gun.
Starting point is 00:09:04 It's like a controller and shoot it at the screen. And who even knew if we'd really shoot in what they were? I'd put the gun on the screen and chase the duck. That's pretty good. Because you put the gun right up on it? I didn't have a Nintendo. Scotty did. And so I'd go over to Scottie's house, and I'd try to be good friends with them.
Starting point is 00:09:19 so he let me play as Nintendo. Later, that turned into having a computer. Uh-huh. And he had a Sega Genesis. And so I'd always have to be nice. Scott, he was two years older to me, that felt like just generational difference when you're fourth grade.
Starting point is 00:09:32 A fourth grader and a sixth grader, so he's kind of embarrassed that I was his friend. That a fourth grader would come over. Boy, you got a Commodore 64. He had a Wheel of Fortune. That was before Nintendo. That was around the same time, but it's floppy disks.
Starting point is 00:09:47 And he had Will of Four. And I go over and play Will of Fortune. And sometimes I go, I knew Scotty wasn't home. I go, knock on, I was going to go. I was going to come over and play Will of Fortune. And his mom would go, he's not here. But you were going to play with him? I said, yeah, she could come on in.
Starting point is 00:09:59 So I go in and play for like an hour. And then he gets home. And then, hey, he wouldn't get home at all. He'd come home and come over and play Will of Fortune. He was like, I never said we were playing Will of Fortune. But by then I'd already played Will of Fortune. And later that turned into Yahoo! Because I would go, Scottie said we could play Yahoo!
Starting point is 00:10:14 Yahoo! And she'd be like, he's not here. Do you want to go on back and play Yahoo? Chess on Yahoo? Yeah. Like the computer? Oh. Oh. On a newer computer.
Starting point is 00:10:24 And it was there from that computer that I sent a couple emails to Kramer, who at the time was doing nights on 105.9 KLAZ. I was 15, 16 years old. Wait, wait. Who is doing your wedding DJ now? So he was a night guy. Get out. And I would be like, I listen to you every night.
Starting point is 00:10:41 I can't wait to one day get to meet you. I want to be on the radio someday. And he would reply and be like, hey man, just. hang in there. You know, it's what I did. And I'd be like, oh, I can't believe we've got an email from Kramer. And I'd be so nervous about emailing him back. So I'd email him back and he hit me again. And then I ended up going into KLAZ doing part-time while he was doing nights. And then he left. I took over nights. And then now we just hired him to come DJ our wedding.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Look at that. And so he'll be here in August. And you did all that on Scotty's computer? All that on Scottie's computer. While he wasn't there. How about that? So yeah, there's a podcast. called Too Much to Say with Kaylee Shore. The episode is titled Panic Attack at the Disco. It's funny.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Kaylee's currently in the studio recording her new EP and she talks about her experience, the anxiety, what it's caused, what it looks like, and how she's found ways to calm down. So if you struggle from anxiety, maybe this is a good podcast for you to listen to. She talks about her account with it. So it's called Too Much to Say with Kaylee Shore. You okay over there? Mm-hmm. I never know after a show, if you're getting text messages, you've got to go handle some business.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Yeah, no. Any business to handle? No. I'll tell you what's happening to my house. They're weight bars keep coming. Like workout weight bars? Yeah. We ordered one.
Starting point is 00:11:53 We now have five. Oh. We sent one back. They sent two more. So it's like a glitch or something? I don't know, but they weigh 45 pounds apiece. So it's not like they come and it's an easy transition to get them into the house. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:05 So we have another one we put outside the gate to take back. And they brought another one. And Eddie was like, hey, you have a weight bar at your house. I'm like, we're trying to mail it out. I've seen it out there for like a week. So I just texted Jessica and I was like, hey, we mailed one out. She goes, yeah, they dropped off another one. So I don't...
Starting point is 00:12:18 They're insisting. I don't know what to do. I think we have four or five of them at this point. We've sent two back. We didn't order four or five of them, I hope. Wouldn't that be a disaster if I accidentally clicked five instead of one? Is it so you can do like bench press? Yes, it's that kind of bar.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Yeah. I have a bench press bar on there now. I don't know why they're sending other bars. There's nothing else to do with it in my house. I'm not doing hang cleans. Squats. We're not doing dead left. Oh.
Starting point is 00:12:45 There's not a squat rack in the house. We do have our gym little area Finally set up Got a treadmill, got a bike Got a bench press machine Can't really use it My finger's still in bad shape Oh yeah
Starting point is 00:12:54 Is it still bad? It sucks I don't know what to do What happened? I give a kiss I give a kiss of something It doesn't get better And I've seen people do that with babies
Starting point is 00:13:03 Well we do it all the time with our kids Yeah We do it to mine No No All right What do I have a list of stuff to get to here Up first
Starting point is 00:13:13 Let's see here Amy sent me this note Red flag question. My friend recently started dating a girl. Do you want to tell the story? I mean, yeah, I'm just curious what you... Go ahead. I guess about, you know, falling into like a high maintenance category.
Starting point is 00:13:30 He was already starting to think maybe she is a little bit, but it's still a very new relationship. And then he found out that she gives her dog bottled water. And he's like, oh, is that another red flag of like what I have in store of like for life? Does she already seem quite fru-frew? I don't, not really that it's frou-frou, just like little things where he's like, well, that's not, it just kind of,
Starting point is 00:13:55 she's kind of next level on a few things. That bottle of water to a dog seems ridiculous. That's just wasting money. That's what it seems like to me more than, oh, if she only wants her dog to have this water, that just seems like she's wasting money. A dog doesn't know. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:07 A dog doesn't need bottle of water to, for me, if I'm drinking a bottle of water like this one here, which this has been up here for two days, and then I'll refill mine, but it's to go. It's not to sit around the house, mostly, and drink. We got a little filter on there. Coligan. Coligan. There you go.
Starting point is 00:14:23 We got a little Colligan filter on there. I have it too and love it. But dogs don't need to travel with a bottle of water. I feel like it's something Morgan Number 2 would do, though. Well, she makes her on dog food. No, not food, but water. Do you give your dog? It's not bottled water, but I do give her filtered water.
Starting point is 00:14:38 That's in the house, though. That's okay. You're not spending extra money. You've already spent that money on the filter. Right. But I guess she doesn't have a filter, so she gives the bottled water. This is what I'm saying. Is it a red flag?
Starting point is 00:14:48 That would be a small red flag, and that would mean look out for other red flags. That's not in the relationship flag. If that's not what you want to spend money on. Because, like, I don't think that's something that she's just going to change on. That's the tip of the iceberg, though. You know, it would be way worse. You know there's more iceberg under there. That's my point with the small red flag.
Starting point is 00:15:04 Right. It's look out for the rest. Because you got more coming. Who is this friend that's, is this the saint? No, it's a dude, huh? No, in Austin. Yeah. Amy always says friends have dating stories.
Starting point is 00:15:15 I'm like, who are these friends? I don't know. Oh, my girlfriend, yes, you do. The one. A lot of them come from the same one. Yes. And it's like, she's like the gift that keeps on giving with dating stories. Which I feel bad for her.
Starting point is 00:15:28 But can I say this? What? If things, and I say this about myself too, if things continually happen over and over again to a person, they're probably. Oh. No. No, they're just interesting stories. They're not that like things are going, something's going terribly wrong. It's just, I think the selection out there is really rough.
Starting point is 00:15:46 The Wild West out there. Yeah. I saw a tweet where a girl goes, this is terrible. There are so many hot girls and no hot guys. The ratio of hot girls to hot guys is just awful right now. Is that right? And then a guy gets on and goes,
Starting point is 00:16:00 I saw his response and it goes, wait until age 35, it shifts dramatically. Oh, dang. Where the guys apparently get hotter. So what you want to do is you want to grab an up and coming guy. And as they get older, you know. He climbs into that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:18 There's a little tip from me. Hey, day to ugly dude, the more you know. That's what Caitlin did with me. She got an ugly one. It's probably what happened to all of us, right? Not over here. Looks a relative.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Especially with you. Anyways. But still you get to be attracted to someone. Yeah, yeah, I know, but everybody's attraction. Like, someone might find someone attractive and the other person may not. Are you, I was told you were going to a birthday party I'm going to tomorrow? Are you going to that?
Starting point is 00:16:43 Yeah, look at the calendar. Okay, calendar guy. Yeah. Is it outside? Well, we were told, it's a friend. He was like, hey, we have a little birthday get together. I was like, hey, Caitlin, you want to go? She was like, well, I don't know him that well, but I'll go if you want me to.
Starting point is 00:16:56 And I said, hey, who's coming? So Caitlin would have. And he was like, well, Eddie and wife are coming. Is that true? Yeah, I think so. I think so. We're in then. Okay, let's go.
Starting point is 00:17:05 I got to check the calendar, though. Make sure who you're talking about. Okay, stop with the calendar. How many outdoor birthday parties were you invited to by kind of clearly like a secret type person. I got invited to two birthday parties this weekend so I'm not sure which one he's talking about. Well, probably, but you got invited to two birthday parties from
Starting point is 00:17:22 two like famous, did she people? They're famous? I'm assuming, or is they not? Are they name? Are they famous? I'm not saying anything. Okay. I don't mean by famous. We know these two people. I don't, maybe I didn't get invited to one of the birthday parties. Oh boy, here we go.
Starting point is 00:17:38 This is why he, oh, maybe that is why he's being all like, got to check the calendar. I don't know. I don't know. I got to check the calendar. Why don't you all just whisper it to each other so we can know? Well, we have microphones. We can do it later. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Apparently one party I didn't get invited to. I'm about to get real pissed. I don't want to go. I didn't want to be invited. That's all. Speaking of secrets, Eddie found out, and don't say who it is, that your son is best friends with a country artist son. Yeah, my seven-year-old. And it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:18:03 It's nuts. It all started when he would come home from school and be like, oh, my gosh, my friend. And he talks about him all the time. He hangs out with him at school all the time. He says he's got these Jordan. They're so cool. I want them. And I looked them up and like, I'm not buying you. These shoes. They're so expensive.
Starting point is 00:18:19 And then yesterday, again, he comes up. He's like, okay, he got new shoes. They're even cool. They're the new Steph Curry's. I want these dad. I look them up. These are ridiculous. I'm like, who is this guy's parents? So I did a little bit of research, found out who his parents were. His dad, yeah, he's a country artist that we know really well.
Starting point is 00:18:35 Take a guess. Go. A seven-year-old? I'm not going to say yes or no. Yeah. Yeah, there's no yes or no. I guess I don't know their ages. Eric Church. Oh, that'd be cool.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Lunchbox? I know the answer. Oh, you do? Yep. Did I tell you? Yeah, you told me. Do you think you're going to forge a friendship with this guy because of the kids? Well, we already kind of know each other well, but I mean, you don't think I'm not going to do a play date and be like, hey, what up there?
Starting point is 00:19:02 The seven-year-olds do play dates? Yeah, yeah. What do you mean? Sounds weird. It sounds weird. It sounds weird you're saying it right now. Like, say, hey, why don't you invite your friend, junior, junior, to this place or whatever, and I'll take you. And then the dad goes, and I'm like, what up, dude, it's me.
Starting point is 00:19:16 What? Who could it be? Who could it be now? I'll tell you later, Amy. And then also tell me whose party I didn't get in. Yeah, we need to know all these details. Are you planning on wearing those fingernails that need longer than this week? Okay, okay, so here's what happened.
Starting point is 00:19:31 I went to the baseball game yesterday with all the parents, and I was like, first, embarrassed first. Because I noticed people were looking. When I was talking to parents, you noticed them looking down and like, okay, they're looking at my fingernails. But then one lady comes up, and we're in, we're in. bleacher setting, right, where there's just a bunch of parents in a bleacher. And the one lady goes, Eddie, can I, did you paint your fingernails? And I said, yeah, I did, I did. It looks cool.
Starting point is 00:19:54 I would be honestly. And then all the other parents go, you know, we were going to say the same thing. I mean, it kind of looks cool. And then one grandma, I'm telling grandma bones, she goes, you kind of look like, AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys. And I'm like, that's what I'm talking about. So at one point, the whole bleachers are saying like, dude, your nails are cool. And then all the kids are like, I want to see that.
Starting point is 00:20:13 That's so cool. Look, Dad, he paints his nails. I don't know, Bones. I'm thinking maybe going through the weekend and keep them. I'm going to tell you right now, I need to touch them up because they're starting to chip. You're not planning to have those at the wedding in my wedding. I don't know. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:20:30 There's no funny hats. There's no paint your fingernails. Oh, great. Here we go. Man, he doesn't want you to be you, dude. I don't think that's him. He just said it. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:40 This is one of those things where it's like, you know. You know, you hear a story of a bride who won't let a bridesmaid color their hair before the wedding. And grooms-ziller. You're right, Amy? Yeah. I mean, Eddie just said he was the most popular person at the baseball game. Everyone complimented him. And you were in a lot of-eget-dram.
Starting point is 00:20:56 I'm just saying, don't paint your nails that day. I can't be in the pictures all of a sudden because of my nails. That day is not about you. You know what? And if you do, you put your hands behind your back. Or you got to wear gloves. Also, it's just awkward looking at you when you talk. Not because you have them painted because guys can have it painted.
Starting point is 00:21:11 It's just totally. not you. What are we? Thursday? You guys aren't used to him day four? No. Bones? You can't even look at me. Is it that bad? I look at the top of your head. Yeah. It's awkward. It's awkward. It's just weird. It's awkward. I don't know, man. I'm kind of getting used to it.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Okay. Well, maybe then we will too. AJ McLean, Bones. I like AJ, but why is that so cool to you? He's a backstreet boy. He's cool. And they said that he has his own line of nail polish. Oh, well, that could be you. Okay. I mean, keep it up. Thanks, I will.
