Here's your host, Bobby Bones. The Bobby Cassidy comes out tomorrow is with a guy named Jerry Flowers. What's cool about him is he was in the ranch with Keith Urban. Because Keith Urban started in Nashville in a trio.
Starting point is 00:03:34 He wasn't Keith Urban. He was in a band. And he was in the ranch, Jerry was. And then he went and played for, at the time, the Dixie Chicks. And then he played for the Counting Crows. Now he's Keith Urban's musical, like, band leader, but he's also written four number ones. I mean, just a wild interview.
Starting point is 00:03:49 And he was talking about how Keith Urban gets up. And they had hired Keith to play a corporate gig. Now, this is when Keith Urban's Keith Urban. This is not the ranch. So Keith's a massive star. They paid him a bunch of money. And the crowd was so hyped up that they ripped Keith's shirt off when he went into the crowd. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:07 Here, listen to this. We were playing a corporate gig for the company Cisco. So the guy, the president of that company was retiring. So he rented out 49er Stadium. When we played, that crowd got so, so wound up and so into it, when he went down into the audience, his shirt was completely ripped off. Our security guy, Paxson said that people were jumping on him and biting his. His shoulders and everything.
Starting point is 00:04:33 They were literally biting him. Yeah, and when he got up on stage, he was like, what the hell just happened? What in the world? That's awesome. Wow. He also talked about how, because he had written a couple number ones with Sam Han. He has, and how Sam goes back and edits songs like crazy. He does something that people don't do here.
Starting point is 00:04:50 He edits and edits and edits and edits and edits. I was going to say, Sam, let's go. Let's move along. Yeah. I think House Party took seven times together. But that's why his lyrics, his songs are so much better than most people. Because he goes back. I mean, listen, the version I have of Kenfolks, the week before it came out, the version I had, the second verse was completely different.
Starting point is 00:05:09 He right before it came out, he stopped it, went back in, wrote a new second verse, went in and record it. I think the day or two before it came out on radio. So he wrote House Party and Ken Folks with Sam as two of his number ones. But really good. I hope you guys check it out. It comes out tomorrow morning, is that every Friday, but it'll be with Jerry Flowers on the Bobbycast. So pretty pumped about that one. Let's see. Scoob, Steve keeps posting he's getting calls from North Korea.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Yeah. I just saw you post another one. Yeah, I say I'm getting at least two or three a day from North Korea. And then when I ask them, they ask me some question about health insurance and I mess with them. Oh, you do answer. Oh, I answer every single time. I do a couple different things. I do one where I'll answer if I'm busy and then I'll put it on mute and then they'll hang up,
Starting point is 00:05:50 which then takes me off their list. Or if I have some time and I want to have a little bit of fun, then I answer and I play around with them. What takes them off the list? Well, yeah, what's that true? So the first hack is if they call you, you answer it, and then you mute it. And then it'll eventually go two seconds go by and they go boop, boop, and they hang up. They remove you from their list. Oh, that's good.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Because, yeah, if you just hang up on them right away, sometimes they call you right back. Yeah. But you keep getting calls. So if you've done that, why do you keep getting calls? Well, North Korea, I like to mess with them. So those ones I answer and I speak to them. Because it's North Korea. Like who, like, who, like.
Starting point is 00:06:23 I wouldn't mess with them. But is it really North Korea? It says it is. It's coming from an international number. You can, I think. You can manipulate that. Yeah. I mean, yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Because when I asked them if they're from North Korea, they go, no, we're from Florida. But they have an accent. So I don't know if they're from Florida or if they're from North Korea. That's good, too. Probably neither. So how do you play with them? Well, it depends on what they're asking for. What are you wearing?
Starting point is 00:06:46 Well, the other day they're asking for health insurance for elderly. So I acted like an old person. I mess with them for a little bit about, it's in the moment stuff. So whatever they're asking, I have responded to them. Ray heard one a day. Dirty stuff. What? Yeah, usually dirty things.
Starting point is 00:06:57 So, but you do that without recording it? Yeah, because I don't have a way to record it on my phone. It's just something for me to pass the time that I enjoy doing. This is just his hobby, Bobby. I would think if you were doing that, it would be for somebody to hear, like some performance. Are you doing it for Ray to see? No, I heard it all. It was worth just it for me to listen to it.
Starting point is 00:07:14 I was laughing my butt off. Sometimes I have my son talk to them. Like, it's just a fun thing for me to do it. They're going to call and mess with my time. I'm going to mess with their time. Okay. I don't think it's North Korea, though, right? Not really.
Starting point is 00:07:26 No. I would bet it's not. I would bet that's just the number you're like, you feel like you have to answer it because it's... Like Russia called me once. What? I don't think it was really... Russia. It just said a number and then Russia below my phone. Like I said, I have to change my phone number.
Starting point is 00:07:42 I'm going to get another phone next week because people harassing me that know what's my number. They're yelling, F you, and I don't know. I've just had the number so long that I go through these seasons where people just start harassing me. Then I just blocked their number and never hear from them again. but I wonder what bathroom wall is written on. Oh, yeah. Somewhere somebody's passing along my phone number, but yet it's an old school number. So Caitlin's like, we have to go.
Starting point is 00:08:06 Like last night, somebody tried to FaceTime me from a number. Really? Yeah, and I didn't answer it. I was like, it was a Wichita number too. Abby? The Fire Chief. Morgan. What did I do?
Starting point is 00:08:16 I didn't do it. No, a WichitaL number tried to FaceTime me last night. They're finding your number online, I'm telling you. It's somewhere out there. And then I responded back, hey, this is Sean. Did somebody just FaceTime me? And they said... That's smart. What do they say?
Starting point is 00:08:31 It was read yesterday, but they didn't respond. Oh. About their number? 316. Do it. No. I won't do it. Let me talk to Aaron in Texas, who's on the phone, been waiting.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Aaron, hello. Yeah. What's going on? It's Bobby. Hello. Good morning, studio. Morning. I was actually calling.
Starting point is 00:08:54 It was based on the whole... of course, celebrity meetings. I do have a couple of stories, but the big one was I learned that a lot of them are actually under a form of contract, especially way back in, you know, I want to say the day, I'm almost 40 as well, I'm 38. So I've learned, even Michael Jordan, if he said he couldn't sign on Tuesday,
Starting point is 00:09:23 his contract actually might have said he couldn't not sign unless it was a Tuesday. So what I know about autographs is that some people can only sign at certain events if they've signed like a deal with them. I've never heard of someone just not being able to sign anything ever. You know, because earlier we had a call on the show where a guy saw Michael Jordan. He's like, only sign on Tuesdays. And it was like four little kids.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Yeah. I have professional athlete friends. And I've never heard of such thing. You know, but I have heard where they will only sign. only do autograph signings on certain things because of a company they've signed with, but I've never heard of we're not going to sign anything. Yeah, like maybe Michael Jordan couldn't sign a Reebok, but because of Nike? Or a certain kind of card or, but yes.
Starting point is 00:10:09 And what's the other thing that they can't meet people as well? Well, I had some friends that actually had a P, I don't know if I'm allowed to say names. It was a certain very predominant role of Star Trek, the next. generation and they had to actually, you have to pay several hundreds of dollars to meet this person, but on top of that, you cannot touch them. They can, you know, they'll, it looks like they put their arms around you, but you can tell it's not for real, but you cannot touch them. Like, you put your hands behind your back. And it's a germ thing, I guess, is what I heard. I was personally not there, but it's really crazy sometimes to hear what some of the rules are that these contracts
Starting point is 00:11:01 portray. And I feel like maybe it should be up to the actor, actress, musician, what have you? I would assume this is some sort of convention where they're meeting Star Trek people because, oh, yeah, then they go, people pay for an autograph and a picture, and that's the deal. Again, I've never heard of anyone having a contract with a show or a movie to go, you can't meet people or sign anything, period. So it must be they met him at a convention, especially if it's Star Trek, right? Mm-hmm. I mean, the odds are high.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Yes. But I know artists, too, not that I'm close friends with, pop artists that I've heard of who don't allow touching it all in pictures. I respect it. Some people just don't want to touch other people. I don't live by that. And it's a protection thing, too, for everybody. Because even with the touching, like there's things, there's times where touching has been, it's put people in compromising positions. so you just eliminate that out of the gate by not allowing any touching.
Starting point is 00:11:57 All right, Aaron. I appreciate the call. Three more on the touching. Like, absolutely not. Like, no, we don't need a touch. All right. Have a good day. All right.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Thank you, guys. Y'all have a great day. All right. See you later. Amy, we spent some time talking about Eddie's adoption this week, but it's about to be four years for you. Yeah, we just got an email from our adoption agency saying that our four-year report is going to be due soon, which is, yeah, we have to just type up and write certain things and submit pictures of how the kids are now and their citizenship
Starting point is 00:12:32 and just where we are in the process. I don't know at what year that we have to stop giving reports, but the four-year report is due soon. What if you just didn't do it? Well, good question. I don't want to find out. Do they come and take the kids back? No.
Starting point is 00:12:46 No, but they're, I don't know if it's for their records or they have to update some master adoption type records. But I mean, the process was intense. I mean, there's protocols in place that help protect children. So I get it. Like, we're good parents and we're doing things right. So I could see where this could help them figure out if things are not going swimmingly. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:09 So I don't, I don't know. But clearly we have to submit it. We have a deadline. So, I mean, the four-year anniversary is December. But this is in the next month or two is when we start submitting the form. Tell your daughter, she got jobbed on that photo basketball. model like shot. Nope. Nope. Did she get all the money? Yep. They take taxes out? Yeah, I'm sure. She spent the money? No, we deposited it. I'm sure it went into my account,
Starting point is 00:13:35 but no, I can't remember how we did it. That was like six months ago. So I, but she's hers if she wants it. I know how much it was so she can have it. Have you seen it at the store? No, I haven't. I want to go to a Walmart and see if a Walmart near me has it. It's a WNBA basketball goal. It's exclusive to Walmart. Yes. And so she's on the packaging. Yeah. I mean, she thinks she made a ton of money. But she did for a 14-year-old. That's crazy. But she is on a box across the country.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah. I mean, it's $198, too. I remember I bought one of those for my house. I couldn't put it up, so Eddie came put it up. And it was a crooked. I kind of missed a screw or something. Eddie's like, I got, I'll take care of it, buddy. I'll do it. Brought a sign over. He's like, all right, we got taken care of a walk out. It's like, I knew something was up. When we finished and there were a couple of screws left.
Starting point is 00:14:27 I'm like, well, it's probably never a good sign. Yeah, never a good sign. Hey, what's up with your Aggie ring? Well, I mean, I lost it when I lived in North Carolina. So when my husband was at Fort Bragg, we lived in Southern Pines. And it was our first house we ever owned. I mean, tiny little cute house couldn't have gone far. But we did get robbed when we lived at that house or burglarized.
Starting point is 00:14:48 We weren't home. So I don't know if it was stolen then. my husband's Air Force Academy ring was stolen with that, and we have since replaced his. We bought a new one because that's important for him to have. But I don't know. I don't know if my Aggie Ring fell down a crack there, if I lost it somewhere in Southern Pines,
Starting point is 00:15:06 or if it was stolen with other things that were taken. But it's just missing, and we have all these tell me something good sometimes of people finding class rings from years and years ago and all they figure it out. So I'm like, all the details are on my ring to find me. It's also wild your husband never got his rank. back, even if it was stolen.
Starting point is 00:15:23 And they ponded. Because I'm sure it has his name on it. Yes. His, yeah. And what good is that of having an Air Force Academy ring with his name on? It's not like a World Series ring that you got from Walt Weiss and you're like, check it out, Oakland A's. I mean, it is an awesome ring. Some guy maybe could wear it. I mean, it's Air Force people, they
Starting point is 00:15:43 recognize it. Or any, people that know the ring, they recognize it. Like, my husband will wear it to important business events to conferences or like nice nights out and it's a conversation starter if someone recognizes like, oh, you go to the academy, you know, but for someone who stole it or who didn't go to the academy, what do you do with it? They lie. They wear it and they lie.
Starting point is 00:16:01 And they say, I, yeah, yeah. Greatest four years of my life, man. Class of 2000. Crazy. Oh, man. Those planes and stuff. Pilot training's you know, something, I don't know. G-force, you know what I'm saying? Right, I know. And your Aggie ring has your name on it. Yes. What year is on it?
Starting point is 00:16:16 2003. So it's class of 03. It's a gold. They have silver. They have different ones. mine's gold. I got a teeny tiny diamond in the middle, and then on the inside it says Amy E. Moffitt. I guess they could melt that down. Get the gold from it and sell the parts, kind of strip it and sell it. I dunked that. Like, I chugged beer for that ring. What's the reward? Hmm. A basketball goal. A WMBA basketball goal. What's to share me?
Starting point is 00:16:46 Yeah, that's what I was going to say. But you haven't said how much. It's about the price of the goal. But so. Okay, I don't know what should do. I don't know. How much do you want it? How much do you want it? I would love to have it.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Either I just need to buy a new one, but I mean, I would be super grateful if someone just found it. $500 reward? I mean, sure. Yeah. I can't remember the ring is probably about worth that or more. $500 reward. Okay. No questions asked.
Starting point is 00:17:14 No questions ask. If anybody finds my Aggie ring, because that's special to me. But you also didn't graduate that year. Yeah, I was supposed to, though. You did? I was class of O'3. So A&M, you get. your class during your junior year, so the year before you graduate, and then you get to wear it
Starting point is 00:17:27 all of your senior year. So I was set to graduate in 03, which I did go to graduation, and I did walk across the stage, and I was handed my tube. It just did not have a diploma inside. It was a mock tube. Because you failed? No, I was taking a three-hour correspondence course from Texas Tech, because it was a way, I don't know, it was like apparently the easiest three hours ever, and it's all I needed. But back then it wasn't online. It was mail-in. Like I had assignments and I had to write them out, put them in an envelope and mail them to Texas Tech. And that got complicated sometimes. I was busy. And then after I walked across the stage, I just had this feeling that I graduated, you know, so that all went. That's what Lunchbox says too. He's three hours. He's still three-hour short.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Yeah. So that all went to the wayside. And I, then I got a job. And I was like, well, this is, and then I, after that job, job with you and I'm on the radio. Remember, that's when I started to feel guilty about it because I was ashamed. I had shame around not finishing the three hours, but again, in my heart, it felt like I graduated. And you were also saying you graduated. So I said, yes, because I was embarrassed. After a certain point of time, I don't think that first year, I think I was like, yeah, I've got a year to finish my correspondence, but then once I didn't, I had a lot of shame. So then I would say I graduated and then I couldn't handle it anymore. So one day on air, I told you all, I was like, you know, I told you I graduated from Texas A&M. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Didn't. But my big announcement to y'all was that I was going back to college. And I enrolled when I lived in Southern Pines. I enrolled in a three hour class in the community college there in North Carolina. And I, there's three hours of sociology or something. I did it. Got an A. And then mailed it off to Texas A&M. It was 2008. And then they mailed me by diploma. So it says, my Aggie ring says 03, but my diploma says 08. But never give up, kids. Hey, kids, if you're watching right now on Facebook, you know kids watching on Facebook. How do you have two people that were three hours short on this show from graduating? You and Lunchbox, that's crazy. Like, I've never heard of such a thing. And then two of you guys sitting right here. Three hours is the crazy part. Yeah, the three hours.
Starting point is 00:19:37 A lot of people go and don't finish. Right. Three hours. Some people don't need to finish. Right. So why, but for me, it's like, why don't we need to finish now? Except for I just wanted to accomplish that for myself. Lunchbox is still working on that.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Yeah, he doesn't want to go back. No, he won't go back. Yeah. He doesn't care. like having my diploma now framed. It's a long story why it says 08. All right, guys, let's do a round of blank slate before we wrap it up. Let's go. Morgan, have you one both times?
Starting point is 00:20:00 No, any one last time. Okay. Again, we played this round a little different here on the radio. Okay. Blank bite. Here's the card, blank bite. In. Got to match what I... Trying to match my brain.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Blank bite. Amy? Spider. Frost. Sound. Overbite. I have afterbite. Is that a thing?
Starting point is 00:20:24 No. That's not a thing. Okay. I was thinking the aftertaste. We're supposed to guess what Bobby guesses. Yeah, I messed up on that one. It's impossible. Blank corn.
Starting point is 00:20:34 I was thinking of overbite. I was thinking of. Blank corn. Then I'll take that point. No, no. Not. That's not. That's not me.
Starting point is 00:20:42 Blank corn. We got it, Bunce. We got it? Yeah, we got it. Yeah. Good job, guys. Everybody in? Amy?
Starting point is 00:20:53 Mexican Street corn. What? Eddie? Candy corn. Oh, good one. Mexican Street. Woo! Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:00 What? Candy corn. Candy corn. Let's go. Mexican Street's two words. Mexican Street's two words. Who cares if you're eating it? Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:08 That's not an argument for this game. Okay. Blank Dog. Is that one point or three? One. One. We're playing our version. One.
Starting point is 00:21:16 Blank dog. I'm not. Why is this funny? Blank dog. Everybody in? Yeah. Amy. Downward.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Dog. Dirty dog. Bull dog. I put up dog. I have a hot dog. Blank aide. In. Amy.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Lemon. Banned. First. Coolade. Lemonade. Oh, yeah. That's Amy? Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:21:56 What score, Mike? Anybody know? Amy won, nobody. I got me one. I have zero. One. Here we go. Blank party.
Starting point is 00:22:03 You got somebody can win it here. Blank party. In. For the win. Win. Win. In. Amy?
Starting point is 00:22:10 John. Well, no, that's P-R-D-I. John Party? That's funny. This is P-R-T-Y. I just, I'm just playing around. Eddie. House party.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Morgan? House party. Ray? House party. Come on, bones. Let's go. House party. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Oh, we don't need nobody. But that's it. It's a tie between Eddie and Ray. Yeah, that's it. Two. Yep, two points. All right. Ready?
Starting point is 00:22:38 What do we do here? Blank glove. You get a point, you win. Let me see, blank glove. Come on, dude. Okay. I'm in. Ray, you in?
Starting point is 00:22:50 Yeah, in. Eddie, what do you get? Golden. Golden. Oh, like, best defensive player. Oh, my gosh. That's not it. Ray?
Starting point is 00:22:56 Batting glove. Oh, I put rubber glove. No point. I was going to do OJ's. Blank Green. Come on, dude, we got this. Blank Green. In.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Remember, it only be one word. We got it. Go ahead. Tom. Ray? Gang. Gang green. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Come on, Tom. One of he's right. Tom green. Why did you think of Tom Green? Why did you know it's not gang green? I just don't think you. It's not gang green. But maybe you did.
Starting point is 00:23:30 I don't know. I just feel like. got my win song ready. I wrote down Tom Green. Yeah! Eddie, you get the best of this, man. Thank you, man. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Nice job. Do you want to roll one real quick? Let's go. Here. Mike, we hand these cards to Eddie. And everyone plays and I'm the man? Yeah, and you're the man. All right.
