Starting point is 00:02:47 getting kicked off an airplane. Because he, listen, he held him up for 90 minutes. This whole... And I'll give you my semi-rant after this, but a jet blue flight from New York to Cancun had to land in Florida because
Starting point is 00:03:00 a guy wouldn't keep his mask on. The airplane was forced to divert its course and land in Florida to remove a passenger who apparently refused to wear a mask. The plane sat on the tarmac for about 90 minutes, so other passengers were upset. They let them know. Here you go. Here's a clip. Let's go. Get up. Let's go. I hope you get here.
Starting point is 00:03:23 I would have been so upset. We had to land that plane. Would you have yelled something? Yeah, but I'd hit behind my seat when I did it. And I don't want to remember my face and beat me up later. Even if you're like, this is stupid, it's still the rule of the airline. You don't get to create the rules on other people's plans. You can't go into my house and create your rules for living inside of my house. You can do it in your house.
Starting point is 00:03:45 If you want to get an airplane and fly with no mask, good for you. But you can't get on when you know the rule, regardless of what the rule is, and disobey the rule. You couldn't get on to go, you know what, where I'm from, we pee everywhere on the floor. We're just all nature all the time. You pee on the floor in an airplane, they're going to kick off the airplane. the rule was wear a mask The guy couldn't keep a mask on to get to Cancun What an id, right?
Starting point is 00:04:09 Yeah It couldn't even keep a mask on To get to Cancun And I don't want to be on a plane that gets diverted For any reason, especially something as dumb as this All the guy to do is go boop and put it on Oh yeah, we would have for sure been booing I saw a story where a UFC fighter got ticked
Starting point is 00:04:28 Because they were like, hey, your kid needs to have a mask on and he gets so mad, he starts to barges into the cockpit. Oh, no. And so he's like, the pilots don't have masks. What a crock. The thing is, the pilots can't wear masks. They have to communicate. You want your pilot in a mask?
Starting point is 00:04:43 I don't know the plane up there. Say that I can't hear you do what? You don't want your pilot in a mask. They're not around anybody, and they need to be sealed off in there because they have to communicate with other planes, other people, airport. Look, what's wrong with people? I don't know. And then I wonder, am I the only logical?
Starting point is 00:05:01 going left. And ain't you guys. I'm offending all you now. Yeah, what do we do? We're just sitting here. I saw that. I thought that was an interesting story. Remember when Eddie got that? I think it was a bag of chips with no chips in it. Is that it was? Oh, no, it was a bag of cookies. Bag of cookies with no cookies. It was a sealed bag of cookies. Full of air, man. It's crazy. And I was like, oh, that's the dangest thing you ever seen. Amy got a Amazon package like that. Yeah, nothing in it. Tracking number delivered to my house. sealed. I thought, oh my goodness, somebody opened it up and sealed it back up and stole what was inside. But no, you know, you can tell if a bag has been opened. And it wasn't. So,
Starting point is 00:05:41 reached out to Amazon, sure enough, I mean, they made me cancel the order and reorder the item, but I know what it was that I ordered. And I guess they straight up processed the whole thing and they thought they sealed, which was weird. It was a flat package. Like nothing, you could tell there was nothing in it. And what I ordered, you would be able to tell. So it's just kind of funny to me that it made it through different checkpoints with no. Nobody cares. Nobody realizing, oh, this feels like air. I mean, you want machines running our stuff?
Starting point is 00:06:07 That's what you get. Move the boxes A to B. Yeah, so made it all the way to my house with nothing inside. That's funny. What'd you do? I had to reach out to Amazon, like, just on chat. You can chat with them. And I just said, hey, got this.
Starting point is 00:06:21 The tracking number was able to find out it was this milk and honey stuff I ordered, blah, blah, blah. And they were like, oh my gosh, so sorry. We'll cancel the order right now and you can replace it. So we'll see if it actually arrives this time. Yeah, that's funny. I love that you can chat to customer service now instead of calling and waiting. Oh, yeah, it was great.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Do you think it's real human or AI? I have no idea. I don't know if I'm talking to someone real or not, but I like it. What's on your podcast today, Amy, new episode out? Oh, yeah, Lori Gottlieb. She's the author of Maybe You Should Talk to Someone, which is a New York Times bestseller. It's an awesome book about therapy, but the way she did it is really cool. So, yeah, if you're kind of feeling like maybe you should talk to someone or you need,
Starting point is 00:06:59 It's like it'll make you laugh, cry, also have more empathy and compassion for people and what they're going through. Because she actually shares four of her patients' stories and, like, their actual sessions and things that they learned in them. And then also she went to therapy as a therapist. So she includes her sessions with her therapist. It's a really cool twist on this type of book. And she sat down with me for all four things. And I felt like I loved the book so much that I was probably geeking out a little too much. Yeah, check out four things with Amy Brown.
Starting point is 00:07:30 That's our podcast up there. Go hit it up. There's two female best friends that got married in a totally platonic way. Quote, we act as a married couple does, but we don't have romantic or physical stuff. So the question is... What do they want? The benefits of marriage or something? Could, right?
Starting point is 00:07:45 Like taxes. Okay. I don't experience that yet. So after I get married this summer, will my taxes be a little better? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Ray? Yeah, my chick talked to what, my wife, excuse me, she talked to a tax person and they said absolutely. If you are married, definitely follow your taxes, even if it was like, I got married towards the end of the year last year, still follow your taxes together. That's better for tax breaks and stuff like that. And wait until you have kids. It'll get even better. But aren't you spending more? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Again, I don't see a difference. Like, it's not. I'm just saying, you'll get a break. She said my best friend and I have eight years got married. We did this because we wanted to raise kids together. Wanted to live our lives by each other side. What? Huh.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Interesting. Yeah. Which of your friends, though, do you think you can marry? I can marry Eddie. Huh? Is that again? What? Which of your friends, if you had to marry non-romantic?
Starting point is 00:08:40 Oh, gosh. Could it be my sister? That'd be double weird. Hey, it could be. I just know it could be Eddie because we have not only doing this show together, but we toured together all the time. We were together all the time. Yeah, we can handle each other.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Yeah, and then we can enjoy the time together. Yeah. I guess. Yeah, you're starting to convince me. Let's do it. Hey. All right, I'm in. Phelman, Louise.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Hold hands. Let's go. Amy, you? I pick my sister. Honestly, like I know I can live with her and we'd get along well and we know how to handle conflict with each other. I mean, because while she's one of my best friends, still not. We still confront each other on things.
Starting point is 00:09:15 I feel like we would get along well. And I know she's a great cook and a great mom and really creative and decorates well. I'm in. I never really understood or appreciated the value of someone being a great cook until now. I was never cooked for So it wasn't a thing in my life We kind of had to fend for ourselves most of the time Unless it was Mamwich or hamburger helper
Starting point is 00:09:33 My mom didn't really cook And so no one ever cooked for me ever But now that Caitlin's just a great cook I'm pretty cool huh Mind blown It's pretty awesome Makes all the difference in the world Lunchbox, which are your friends
Starting point is 00:09:45 Would you marry? I'd say my friend Courtney I mean we've been friends since high school So I would just pick her Because I'm not going to be shacked up With a dude the rest of my life That gets on Guys get on my you know
Starting point is 00:09:55 You can get on each other's nerves and you need someone that can cook. Remember when Ray and Lunchbox lived together? Oh, that's terrible. And they hated each other? Well, we didn't even know each other very well. And then Ray was the weirdest human ever. It was scared of my dogs.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Because you're not weird at all. He would literally get home and go in his room and not come out. Like he never came down to watch TV. We never watched one football game the whole time we lived together. Did we watch? Never. Sorry, dude. I didn't know you wanted to do that that bad.
Starting point is 00:10:20 He's still angry. It sounds like. How weird is it? Some deep Harvard resentment there. I mean, it was just so weird that he wouldn't even talk to me. One of my favorite segments from that time was roommate conditions. It was just spilled a tea, but those were great. Yes, and it was so good.
Starting point is 00:10:35 There's a 14-year-old New Mexico. He accidentally ran over his mom while she was teaching him how to drive. Oh. She's still in the hospital with serious injuries. Oh, no. What was she doing outside the car teaching him how to drive? Oh, maybe like how to parallel park or something? An accident involving a student driver left a woman badly injured.
Starting point is 00:10:51 She was teaching her 14-year-old son to drive. She fell over while he was backing out. he panicked, stepped on the gas by mistake instead of, and she's in El Paso Hospital right now. That's so sad. Which reminds me of a couple stories. One, our old boss, Jay, his kid got run over. He ran him over, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:09 He ran over his kid. A chest? Yeah, a young kid lived. Not even hurt. What, over the chest? Yeah, didn't even break a bone. Crazy. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:11:19 That's amazing. They're like, it's like a rubber. He's like, kids, those bones are like rubber apparently. Yeah, but inside the bones is all you're, organs. I get you. Hey, what? What are you explaining to me over here, Bill and I? That's crazy, dude. I can't believe that. It was crazy. And then secondly, who taught you how to drive? Um, the driver's ed person. My dad. My dad did. My dad did. Backroads. I can't talk he's taught me how to drive. Mostly for his good. Just to go get this for me? Go get that. It was just drop us off
Starting point is 00:11:47 here in the woods. And then we had, he had old standard Toyota and I would drive it, you know, eight, nine miles on the other side and pick them up over there. In fact of they're running dogs. Awesome. Arkansas Keith texted me last night and he sent me a picture. And then I learned when I got here, he also texted the same thing. The fish? Yeah, I think Eddie says his other son. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:12:05 I mean, it's, do we communicate? I'd say like every other day now. He sent me a picture of three, six, eight, eight crappie and the things that croppy biting at springtime. That's what he said to me. Maybe he just copy and pasted. I don't think you know without a copy and paste. You said the same thing.
Starting point is 00:12:19 It's springtime, croppy. And then I said, oh, dude, bones just got me some halib. but he's like, whoa, that's some prime rib. What are you going to do with it? Then we talked about how we're going to cook it. Dude, I love that guy. Now I'm getting jealous of Eddie. I love that, dude.
Starting point is 00:12:32 Eddie's going to Arkansas secretly to go fishing with him. All right, that's what's up. We're working on this post-show situation. I know you're on Facebook and it matter to you guys, but on the podcast. Listen, I don't love it either. I'll be honest with you. But that's the deal. Thank you guys.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Go check out the real show. Maybe you already checked out the real show. Bye, everybody.
