Hey, by the way, there's a new Bobbycast. Eddie and I hung out yesterday and talked about scandals and music, and if it made you stop listening to their.
Starting point is 00:02:59 music. Everybody from Willie Nelson to Ashley Simpson. There's a few that I forgot about. Yeah. So hey, check that out. Bobbycast. You're obviously listening to a podcast. You have the means. Check it out. Amy has the new Four Things with Amy Brown up today. I do. Yeah, a new episode. Are the sore losers doing a show today?
Starting point is 00:03:18 Lunchbox? That's the plan. Yeah. We had to take the day off yesterday. Slackers. I know. Slaggers. I was going through growth reports last night. Business getting in the way. What do you mean? growth reports? Well, like I have a bunch of podcasts on the network. Yeah. And so Mike D runs
Starting point is 00:03:34 the network and like takes all the analytics and then I go through all the data and seeing growth and what shows can do better. And so I was going through every show until late last night. So did you listen to ours and check out the data on it? It's not listening. It's looking at numbers. Oh, just numbers. Yeah. Growth like I guess probably charts, right? Yeah. A lot of that. A lot of last month, this month. A lot of what works, what people stop listening, when they stop listening. Oh, when do they stop listening? I'm curious. How long?
Starting point is 00:04:02 It's a good question. And people know that they can listen to podcasts on double speed because that's what the voice beats. You don't literally have to do it. You don't literally have to. But sometimes if you're trying to consume more information and that way you don't turn us off, speed it up. So you're going to tell us the results or are you just going to be like that doctor? I took a test and I'll tell you when I need to tell you. Yeah, Bobby goes, I went through all of it last night and sent Mike a bunch of notes back.
Starting point is 00:04:27 And so then we actually push for that. forward with the ideas. Got it. Mike's the guy running the podcast network. I know. He helps us a lot. Mike have any like constructive criticism for us? Probably.
Starting point is 00:04:39 He probably can meet you guys after this. Not during the post show. Not during the post show breached out. I'm sure you guys can have a lot of conversations about how to improve it. Mine's probably like Amy, quit rambling. Okay. I think, do you really want to know what I said about yours? Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Oh, great. What did you say about mine? Yeah, I want to know. I'll tell you. He said, he said, yours is great. I can handle it right now. I'll tell you after. You think I'm too sensitive right now.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Yeah, you are very sensitive right now. I had to be careful with Amy this morning. Oh, please. Is Shark Week? It is. And I haven't started yet. I get it on. Extra sensitive.
Starting point is 00:05:13 But I've been good. Yeah, you've been great. Yeah. But there's stuff you have to tell her. I mean, it's work, you know, but you're very gentle about it. I've been, the last couple days it's been like cottonball hands with Amy. Yes, very soft. One time she didn't even come in the studio, we were doing a break.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I didn't say anything because I knew you knew. Ooh, usually he would. like tell you. Oh, because I was recording something in your office? We were in the middle of a break and you weren't in the studio. Yeah, I know. I was, well, I didn't, I thought I had time and then I was like trying to hit save and it wasn't save and I was like, ah!
Starting point is 00:05:41 And then I had to come in here and I was like, oh, shoot. See, but I knew you knew. I knew. Trust me. I knew. But I didn't say, don't say trust me. I didn't say anything. You wanted to.
Starting point is 00:05:52 You know what you did. But I already knew. He didn't need to say. Don't we all know, though. But now I want to know what you were said about my podcast. podcast, but it's fine. Yeah. I feel like you can say in front of the people.
Starting point is 00:06:02 No. Nope. Okay. I can't. No, no, no. A different point. It's just data stuff. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Speaking of dad, Eddie went and did the top ten. I told you 10 of these? I did. I don't know. So what's the point? So, you know, just looking after my boy, you know, you're single and you mention a few times. You're ready. You're ready to find this.
Starting point is 00:06:19 I'm dating. Yeah. And the fact the other day you said that you're in California a lot, which you are for American Idol. I was like, let's go like find these celebrities single. celebrities, which is not as easy as you think. Why isn't these celebrities, though? Because you do this, and in a bit, I'd lean into it and play into it a little bit. Can I explain?
Starting point is 00:06:37 Or people only think that I'm dating. Can I explain? Go ahead. You are able to date a celebrity. Top 10. Able. Single celebrities. You're able to date a celebrity.
Starting point is 00:06:46 You do it. I don't know that's okay. I don't know that it's for me. Okay. Aim high, bones. I'm telling you. It's not about aiming high. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:53 You do say, if nobody's going to have big goals for your... But that's not a goal. My goal isn't to date somebody famous. I don't give a crap. about that. I'm good. It's Eddie's goal for you. Yeah. It's my boy looking out for my boy. But why wouldn't you go for a famous chick?
Starting point is 00:07:07 See? Thanks, lunch, rocks. I would... Because he's just looking for love, y'all. I'm just looking for... Because then you're going to be one of those sugar daddies that we had, you know, these collars talking about. You know what, at this point, I'd take it. Can I go through my list? All right. Uh, top ten, what's the, what's the actual list? Uh, the list is hot single female
Starting point is 00:07:25 celebrities. Top ten hot female celebrities. Number 10. Charlie Staron. Pride. Oh, what? Do not even argue this one. Number nine.

Starting point is 00:08:16 All right, go ahead. Same. Slating Gomez is 26. See, what's the problem with that? Oh, yeah, that's fine. All right. Yeah, yeah. She is fine.
Starting point is 00:08:22 What number? Where are we? I don't know. We're someone there's seven. See, none of the need to go old to light me, by the way. Yes, they might. You don't know that. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:08:29 Number seven. Ariana Grande. I'm good. Number six. What? She's single, though, dude. Okay. Emma Watson.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Harry Potter. Emma Watson, she's too young. No, she's probably older than... Emma Watson's 29. Oh. Punch mox is all like, good. He's got his own list that he knows. Yeah, she's 29.
Starting point is 00:08:52 But Eddie... Okay, go ahead. I'm just going down the list of... Look, dude, it's your choice. What number? All right. I think we're at five. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Rihanna. Oh. No, she comes over a lot of baggage. Too much, what? Too much weed. It'd be good for you. I know. I would.
Starting point is 00:09:08 But, hey, Rihanna is a haughty. Yes, she is. Go ahead. Scarlet Johansson. No, she was Colin Jost, right? From S&O. She was? She's not anymore?
Starting point is 00:09:17 No, dude, she's single. They broke up. Single and ready to mingle. Bobby got interested in that one. Boy, you are putting these lofty. Hey, she's been divorced. twice so she... She's not afraid of commitment.
Starting point is 00:09:27 She's ready to get out quick too. Good point. Let's watch. Go ahead. What number one? We are number three. Number three. Lady Gaga. In the shallow.
Starting point is 00:09:38 In the shallow. Shalala. Eddie. Eddie, we're looking for hoties, dude. She's beautiful. She is pretty. A little too nutty for me. I don't know if she's that hot.
Starting point is 00:09:46 And I'm not, I just don't like smoking. Oh, does she smoke? Yeah. Oh, she smokes in the movie? All in that documentary, it was like... Oh. Yeah. Okay, next.
Starting point is 00:09:55 All right, now it's getting real good. What number are we on? We're on number two. Go ahead. Kendall Jenner. Okay. Okay. Right lunch?
Starting point is 00:10:03 Now we're talking. Dude, so rich. Okay. She's not supermodal. So hot. She is hot. How does she? She's dating Ben Simmons, right?
Starting point is 00:10:13 Is this she with Ben Simmons? I don't know, bones. Kylie's with Travis Scott, right? You know all this stuff. And she's with Ben Simmons. I look, man. I go, but you're not a 76ers. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:21 You can't date a Kardashian. You're not an athlete or a rapper. Yeah. Sorry. And number one, Eddie, number one, list. Go ahead. I cannot believe she's single. Jennifer Aniston.
Starting point is 00:10:30 Yeah. Go, go. Bones, bones, bones, bones. Why? Lunchbox, why now? She seems a little crazy. What? No.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Why didn't, listen. How come all the guys run from her? Or she's leaving the guys? Brad Pitt left her. Okay, well, Angelina and Brad didn't work out. Justin Thoreau left her. Okay. Here's the thing about being out in Los Angeles.
Starting point is 00:10:51 First of all, I love the people I work with. but it's a whole like weird scene like everybody's trying to climb all the time. But not January soon as she's done. No, no, I know, but that whole thing out there is weird. Okay, wait, explain. I didn't mean to interrupt you.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Everyone's trying to climb like... Yeah, like everybody's just looking for like a lily pad to take another step up. I've heard that. By dating somebody, by... It happens here to in Nashville. But there it's like super prevalent. It happens everywhere, right?
Starting point is 00:11:17 But that's super entertainment industry. And everybody's like, oh, you do that. I don't know, it's weird. Bye. Oh. You got to watch out for that. I don't hate the list. Yeah, I don't either.
Starting point is 00:11:28 There's some honorable mentions. Adele. She just got divorced. Eddie, she's not even hot. But she can sing. Go ahead. Olivia Colpo. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Get with that. Oh, what about Cheney Tadem's X? Boom. Oh, what about Chaining Tatum's X? I messaged her once. She didn't message me back. I said that on here. Messaged her again.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Follow up. She has a boyfriend though. She's dating somebody. She's dating somebody. No, I didn't know that. You want me to hit up Olivia Copel for you? No, I'm good. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:11:57 I'm good. I... Let me see. Well, of your list, Eddie. I'll message one of them. What do you want? Which one? Jennifer Anderson, go high. No, no.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Who would I do? Anna Kendrick? Yeah, she's probably too big. No, well, they're all pretty big on that list. All right. Let's see. Anna Kendrick, 50 million Instagram followers. I'd never get a DM through.
Starting point is 00:12:15 It's a needle in a haystack. Yeah, let me send one. Huh. another one. And should I do the thing when I act like I've met him before? Be like, hey, I haven't seen you? No, that's probably not.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Because do you do that? No, but it's something. It never worked. You can't be like, hey, I haven't seen you a while. No, do the thing where you're like, oh, I just saw your story is so funny. No, no, but that's if they follow you already. Oh, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Because then you just comment on it. Amy, how would you like a DM slid into your bucks? If you were Anna Kendrick. I don't even know. What would I say? Talk through it. Cups. Morgan number two
Starting point is 00:12:51 Hop in this If you're Anna Kendrick, go ahead Are we sure she's not dating anybody? It's not dating anyone, dude According to Google Oh my God Go ahead I would say use your
Starting point is 00:13:01 Your sense of humor Because she's super funny How though? What would you say? What's a joke you would use That maybe you wouldn't use On a normal girl Like she has a very dry sense of humor
Starting point is 00:13:12 Nobody's normal Normal's a setting on a drier She has a dry sense of humor Be like What Like make a joke Yeah, easy. Easy people to get.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Amy, give him a corny. Make it joke. Something about the perfect. You're the pitch to my perfect. Oh, she in pitch perfect? I'm done. I'm out. She was in pitch perfect.
Starting point is 00:13:33 You're the. She's also in those commercials too. Which ones? Some hotel. Oh, be like I'd love to stay. Dude. No, no, no. What is it?
Starting point is 00:13:41 I think she has a boyfriend. Yeah. Oh, my God. Yeah, just because they have a boyfriend doesn't mean that they're taken. Hotels. Hotcom or something? I'm done. Eddie's sending me to people with boyfriends.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Bobby's like, I'm a jerk one night's day. Oh, God. It's on creepy. Okay. What do you got, Mike? Some guy named Ben Richardson. Yeah, nobody knows.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Yeah, see some guy, so there's help for you. One day she might be dating some guy named Bobby Bones. I'm good. Fine. Waste my time. No, what about Jennifer Aniston for reals? For reals, dude. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:14:13 I've been watching a lot of friends lately. Scarlett Johanson, for reals. I'm just living my life at this point. Yeah, she's like the black spider. She's Black Widow. She's Black Widow. Black Widow. Black Widow.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Yeah. I did want to date last night. I told you guys that. Oh, yeah. How did I forget that? You forgot to come in the room during a segment today. No, I mean, I just already like forgot it during post-show, pre-show, that's where you normally give us more.
Starting point is 00:14:36 So I can't believe we forgot to bring it out. Well, so I was trying to stay and went to eat sushi. And I was trying to not eat a lot because I got to wear these stupid tight clothes over the next couple days. If you watch that soy sauce, that so damn. I don't normally eat soy sauce that much anyway. Okay, good. But this is the greatest problem to have.
Starting point is 00:14:52 I guess the owner of the general manager at this place kept sending food out because it was a fan of the show. It was like maybe a guy and a girl. They were fans of the show so they kept sending more like entree. Well, that had to be impressive. Oh yeah, to the girl. I don't think she's impressed by it. She was probably like, baller.
Starting point is 00:15:08 I don't think so. Or she's like, why does he keep ordering this? Well, and then I was like, I don't want to be rude not eat it. They send out food. So I felt like I had to eat some of everything. So, but then I had to get back last night because I had to get a spray tan. And I was like, hey, I got to cut this date kind of short because I got to go get spray-tanned.
Starting point is 00:15:23 She was like, first time I ever heard that one. I was like, well, it's my life. A lot of first maybe in store. Serious question, when you go on dates, like, do you eat, like, you would normally eat? Like, oh, I'm starving. Let me eat a lot. Or do you just like more talk and less eat, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:36 I do what I normally do. So just, you're starving and you're like. I was talking to my idea about this, the house of the day. Like, I'm so set in my ways at this point. I don't, I just am like, boom, this is what I do. Yeah, if I eat, I eat. Okay. I didn't know if they just order food and you're just like,
Starting point is 00:15:49 oh, one little bite and let's talk. You still talk. Kind of like the bachelor, like the show. It would be like if you and I went to dinner, we talk a lot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:55 If we're actually sitting at a dinner table, there'd be a conversation. All right, got it. Yeah, it was good. Got it, but I was home early.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Do you all set a second date up? No. How do you end that conversation? You're just like, all right, cool. I'll talk to you later. I'll be like, I'm just going to slow down.
Starting point is 00:16:12 You can get out. I'm not going to stop. Just push her out of the car. No, I'm going, I leave tomorrow. I'm in Austin, Austin, Austin, California, California. So I'm gone for like a week. It's like, I'll be gone for a week. Peace.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Yeah, I'll see when I get back. Maybe. You know, not even that. I'm like too cool, but it's also realistic. Yeah. A lot could happen in a week for her to you. Do you want to know? I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Do we want to know what? Nothing. No, you can't, no, twice now you've done that. I know. Well, no, it's like I'm given too much away. I don't have a clue who you went out with. I know, you shouldn't. Another post show pre-show.
Starting point is 00:16:56 I just, stuff's got to be time sensitive. Oh, I have something so time sensitive. How about me? Nope. About you? Yeah, me and Stevenson. Oh, yeah? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Or Sashira. I don't want to say too much. Okay, don't say too much. That is so, like you'll die. And so, we say everything about us, but when it starts involving other people, we just need to give it sometimes a day or three days to make sure nobody can actually connect it to that person. I'm going to have to give this one months.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Yeah. Yeah. And it's not about us because I would just share everything. There it is. Today's show you'll hear me, I screwed up and like someone's Insta story or on Instagram and I shouldn't have. And that happened yesterday because I showed Amy. I just had to read the message back.
Starting point is 00:17:35 But all right, good. Tomorrow, Derek Kopp will be on the show. Monday, Pink. Tuesday, Joy Williams from the Civil Wars. A lot of stuff happening. I don't know. I don't know if people even want to hear this long of a post show, pre-show. We really didn't do much except go down celebrities that I would, you didn't like.
Starting point is 00:17:51 That have boyfriends and that I can never get to respond to me on Instagram. No, Kylie Jenner does not have a boyfriend. Yeah, I think she's any Ben Simmons, right? Rumored, exactly. They're always together. They're always together. And again. Why does he play basketball?
Starting point is 00:18:04 Yeah. Or football. He plays for the sixers. Yeah. It's pretty good. Professional athlete. Amy's pretty good. I won't take a lot of shots, but it's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:18:13 All right, that's it. Here's today's show. Enjoy Thursday, May 2nd, Bobby Bone Show. And here we go. This is what was on the radio today. Starting point is 00:23:05 Mommy shark, too, baby shark, baby shark. Daddy Shark. You can hear him getting closer to the phone too, who was recording this? County fuck. County fuck. Isn't that fun? Eric in New Orleans, what's up, buddy? Hey, how are you doing, sir?
Starting point is 00:23:33 Pretty good. What are you going to say? Oh, I'm actually driving to a meeting, and I was the first time caller, and I thought I was calling so much I appreciate your two. Look at this guy here. Early in the morning, going to a meeting. We're just talking about it early,
Starting point is 00:23:47 You're how a lot of people say they want to get stuff done, and some people just go and do stuff to get stuff done. But it sounds like you're up and you're going to do stuff, right? Yeah, that's, I had to be 5 o'clock this morning, drive six hours of me. There you go. Look at this guy. Hey, Eric, appreciate that call, man. Hope you have a good day.
Starting point is 00:24:04 All right, y'all do. All right, see it. Like that. This song stays in my head all day long. How far does he go? Grandpa. Well, it's like great-grandfather's cousin. It's infinity.
Starting point is 00:24:15 It just keeps going. It just goes infinity, yeah. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. I mentioned the story about trophy wives and rich husbands because apparently all these scientists got together, and they say that having an attractive wife or a high-status husband makes a marriage stronger. Because these statuses seem to make people feel successful,
Starting point is 00:24:39 which strengthens their marriage bond. And when there's confidence, people feel better. When they feel better, they act better with each other. experts say in the context of romantic relationships, maximizers, or people that seek a trophy wife or rich husband are those who look for the best possible partner and over the course of their relationships continue to compare their partner. Anyway, if you feel good, apparently you feel better,
Starting point is 00:25:00 you work better. That's the story. So you're chasing the rich husband or the trophy wife. You're chasing that because, I mean, if you're chasing the money, is this personality awesome? Is he nice? Is he mean? Well, I think it's probably both.
Starting point is 00:25:13 All. Humans are all different. Amanda's on in Tennessee who has a rich husband What up? Hi Amanda Hey So how You still have a rich husband right now?
Starting point is 00:25:24 Yes Yeah So tell me about this How's that working out for you? That's those good days and by days I will say this Kind of like Amy just mentioned The money
Starting point is 00:25:36 It's not about the money They get to the point where they're all about You know money Making money to make you happy But they're absent a lot To make that money and so it puts a conflict in the marriage to where you don't see each other as much and you're left home alone with the kids or, you know, hang out with your girlfriend. And so honestly, my opinion would be I disagree with that completely because life's not about being rich and having money to make your marriage stronger.
Starting point is 00:26:12 So this nice woman here, Amanda, who has a rich husband, is he older than you? Only about two years. Oh, so not really. Oh, yeah. Okay, so he's not like 20 years older. Yeah, he's not like 80 or 30. Did you grow up? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Did you grow up rich? I did not. Okay, so it's a different thing for you to actually be with someone with money. Correct. Huh. And you think that maybe it's not working out so good. That's what I hear. Right.
Starting point is 00:26:42 because they get so focused on making money and working. They're all about money. And they try to use the excuse. I mean, they use the excuse, oh, I'm doing it for us so we could get this and do this and go on this and go on this trip. But you only go on that trip once a year and you're losing memories at home with your wife and kids. I love that you called and shared this with us. There's a very open. Well, hold on.
Starting point is 00:27:06 We need to ask her. A little bit of honesty. Ask her what? If she has shared this with him. Oh. Have you shared this with your husband how you're feeling? Oh, he knows. And his family has told him.
Starting point is 00:27:18 He's been a workaholic his entire life. So that's just his personality. But over the years with his career and his job, it's just gotten a lot worse. See a country music singer? Excel. Does he sing country music? No. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:27:38 Yeah. That's going to be one of those wives. How awesome would that be? It'd be one of those wives in that Caroline Hobby podcast. Listen, Amanda, thank you for calling and sharing your story.
Starting point is 00:27:49 It's nice to have somebody with firsthand knowledge and thanks for listening. I'm going to talk to Ron in Florida. Hey, Ron. Hey, Ron. You have a trophy wife? I have a trophy wife.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Love it. Tell me about this. She is gorgeous. I've been with her for 34 years, been married 34 years. And I was so far she was so far out of my league that I just went for it.
Starting point is 00:28:17 Now, are you a rich guy? Am I a rich guy? Yeah. No. How'd you get a trophy wife? I just got lucky, man. Oh. Does she know she's a trophy wife?
Starting point is 00:28:29 She doesn't know it enough. Oh, there you go. She don't know. She's beautiful. She don't know she's beautiful. No, she's not that kind. Well, I appreciate that here. Let me see what else we would. we have here. Some of these calls. Okay, here we go. Amber and Louisiana, they say that having
Starting point is 00:28:44 a trophy wife or a rich husband is key to a strong relationship. What do you think about this? Well, from my point of view, I would say yes. I mean, grass is always greener, but I was on the other side, and it is very difficult to be the breadwinner and the mama and the wife, trying to be the trophy wife as well. So you're doing it all. She's on all the boxes. Yeah, and it was very stress when it caused resentment and you know looking it's not about money it's not about you know being a gold dig or anything like that it's just it's also a work ethic thing and if you don't have that drive or you don't have that passion it's like you don't have that good energy that fuel to bring you back into the relationship so that you can be positive and happy and have a sounding board for ideas
Starting point is 00:29:34 It's just like always about Utilitarian conversations And what? I don't know There's a lot A lot of big words there Huh Kind of checked out a little bit
Starting point is 00:29:44 It's isn't it like Just harder to leave money And harder to leave hotness Like isn't that what it is Like it's just hard to leave someone Yeah like Okay you can be unhappy But it's like
Starting point is 00:29:54 Here's the thing about I'm gonna stay because he's rich Oh I don't know about that The hotness thing I think everybody loses their You lose that appeal I don't know about appeal But you lose that the look
Starting point is 00:30:04 part of it. Like that super attractiveness that you see right when you meet like that goes away and hopefully is replaced by a different kind of attractiveness. I think you're still attracted to them physically but no one's as hot
Starting point is 00:30:15 is when you meet them that first time. That's true. Physically. They may get hotter to you because of their actions or because of their character and you're like, wow, you know, the first time you see somebody
Starting point is 00:30:26 is like, whoa, physically, you know, visually, but hopefully an attraction grows somewhere else because nobody's super hot anymore. after you've been with them for a long time. Am I right on that? No, you're totally right on that. It's just a guy?
Starting point is 00:30:39 Yeah, it's just like you watch the same movie over and over. It's like. And you enjoy it for different reasons if it's a really great movie. Yeah, but sometimes it's just like, this is the same movie. What if you work hard and improve on yourself? You can. I think both people should be. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Because I have had girlfriends who I was super attracted to way early that I became really attracted for different reasons. Middle later. Because the fresh physical attraction goes away with anybody. Or their look could be totally altered. Like, you don't. Yeah, they make it bang. You're like one.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Bangs. Hey, Brittany in Florida. Yes, hi. You have a rich husband? Yes, I do. Okay, so did you marry him because he was rich? No, he became rich while I was married. How do you like having a rich husband?
Starting point is 00:31:26 I love it. I mean, he's gone often. Like, he's only here with us for like a week out of the month. but he's here with us when he's here. And I mean, he's gone, but he's doing stuff for us. And I think that's amazing that he works that hard for us. And so what do you, what do you like get now, what that you didn't get before? Do you get like Fendi bags?
Starting point is 00:31:48 What they call Fendi? Yeah. Well, actually, I grew up rich too. Dang. Look at this. Yeah. I mean so honest. I love it.
Starting point is 00:31:57 It's a very safe place right now. I love this. We enjoy this. Go ahead. So you grew up, you grew up in, like, how big was your house growing up? 3,500 square feet? I don't really know. Did you go to, like, private school, boarding school? We didn't go to private or boarding school, but we could have afforded it.
Starting point is 00:32:14 Did you do equestrian or like, what's the thing where you throw the ball? La Crosse. No, I lived on a golf course, though, right up on the fourth hole. Fancy, fancy, yeah, yeah. That's pretty cool. But he wanted to know what I had. Yeah, well. He waited, what did you say?
Starting point is 00:32:32 He wanted what? He wanted to give me the same life that I had. He wanted because he knew I had come accustomed to something and he wanted to keep that going for me. What do they call that, keeping up with the Joneses? No, that's a different thing. Oh, is it? That's like if your neighbor's doing something, you do it just for that. Got it.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Are you super hot, Brittany? I don't know. I have a nice body, yeah. Britney's cool. I like Brittany. She sounds cute. Listen, be confident. I love it.
Starting point is 00:33:02 I take care of myself. That's all I'm saying. Absolutely. Love it. Hey, thank you for the call. I hope you have. Do you think your husband, you're still attracted to him? Like, you still think your husband's super hot?
Starting point is 00:33:12 Absolutely. He's the hottest man, I know. Come on. It's your husband. I know, but she's saying. Maybe for different reasons, though. Maybe the reasons have developed. Well, no, this goes back to your article.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Like, she's, I don't know what's working for them. Man, there's a lot of different angles he got on those calls, but. She didn't seek out a wealthy man because he got wealthy while they were married. Here's someone who was a trophy wife and it did not work out. Oh. This is Victoria. How does she know she's a trophy? I let's ask her.
Starting point is 00:33:35 Hey, Victoria. Are you there, Victoria? Oh, we lost her. No. I know. She hung up. She felt like you were going to challenge her, Amy. No, no, I'm just curious.
Starting point is 00:33:47 Hold on one more. Sarah, you there? Yeah, I'm here. So you would have considered yourself a trophy wife? Yeah. Then what happened? Well, I like to consider me a trophy wife, and he was definitely the richest man I had ever been with.
Starting point is 00:34:02 However, we're not together today. I think it depends on the type of person you are. Ultimately, I became too inferior of the money. You know, I didn't get to answer to any of it. I couldn't control it, couldn't do what I wanted, and he became really jealous. Did you end up getting any money in like a divorce? No, uh-uh, nope. We shared children and we still get along really well.
Starting point is 00:34:30 In fact, I think we're both still in love with each other, but it just didn't, we just couldn't do it. Well, you don't also try again. No, we tried. You want to call? You want to get him on the phone? You want to do a three-way? Free-in, don't re-kin. Well, listen, Sarah, I appreciate that call.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Listen, we got a lot. A lot of fun calls here. Appreciate the honesty. I mean, I have a hot buddy. Yeah, cute. Why not? I love that. Me too.

Starting point is 00:38:53 And finally the FDA is warning about sleep medications you may possibly sleepwalks, sleep cook, stuff like that. There's soon going to be a big warning label placed on the medications. One of the easiest ways to lose weight is just to get more sleep. And here's why. If you get sleep, your metabolism is at least back to normal. Your fat burns faster.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Your cravings because all of the hormones in your body are somewhat reacting normally. when you don't sleep, everything's off. Yeah, certain things spike. And when I get tired, I do want to eat more. And I do want to eat sugars because I need to get that jolt back into. And so, like, if you really want to lose weight, and it's such the responsible thing to do. But it's just to sleep more. That's how you lose more weight.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Have you been feeling? Feeling good. Yeah. I've tried to make sleep a priority now for a while. So I try to get seven, eight hours if I can. And me too, a bit more. My trouble has been since I'm going back and forth. to California so much is the time zone difference.
Starting point is 00:40:00 Yeah. So when I'm there for three or four days, which is every week right now and then I come back for three or four days, my body's just in kind of shocked to go to sleep at the right time. But I've been doing a bit better. And I've been eating pretty good.
Starting point is 00:40:11 I've been doing the upper body work in a little bit with the weights, which I hadn't, after I did dancing with the stars, I lost a bunch of muscle. But I'm kind of starting to get it back. I've been having you film on muscle and stuff. Yeah, you've been showing us your bicep. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:40:23 It was big. Can you see it to the sweatshirtirt? It was so big. I was thinking about it the other day, actually. What? You've thought about it later? I was just like thinking like, man, I should get my biceps kind of like Bobby or work on that actually. I thought about it.
Starting point is 00:40:33 So, yeah. Good job, man. Do you lift weights currently? No, no, no, no. Do you exercise at all? No, not really. No, cool. Cool.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Do you sleep? I do that. Yeah, a lot of that. Amy and I have kind of a fun, weird, awesome relationship in that we talk about how we feel physically. Amy will send me a note to tell me that she's starting her period. So I know to be delicate. Mm-hmm. It helps.
Starting point is 00:40:58 I mean, I never know when the hormones are going to be. Like, I can, you know, it fluctuates during the day. But I don't want Bobby to have to deal with that. But he can normally tell. I don't even have to, even if I don't say anything. Sometimes he's like. Usually I tell because of how I get treated by her. It just isn't bad.
Starting point is 00:41:14 It's just, you know. But that being said, when I know, sometimes I'll just like, you know, hey, hey, baby, we go today. Yeah. Or I'll be like, why did that make me cry? Or why have I cried twice today? We're like, no reason. You haven't cried this morning.
Starting point is 00:41:26 No, I know. It's been good. I was like, but that's sometimes an indicator. Like sometimes if we're in her office like meeting about something or talking and like you'll say something to me in like a certain way. And the next thing I know, I'm like crying and I'm like, I have to go. But I know it's not, you didn't make me cry. It's my hormones. Well, she lets me know now. Good.
Starting point is 00:41:46 Yeah. We've been together a while. We get it. The Bobby Bone Show. You know how we do stars are just like us? Yeah. Mike D ran into Morgan Evans at the gym. Sometimes you got a kiss somebody
Starting point is 00:41:57 He's pretty muscular dude, huh? Really muscular, yeah. Yeah, and this is his song here, Morgan Evans. How much he lifting? He was doing like 80-pound dumbbells. Whoa, curls? Whoa, he was lifting that money. 80?
Starting point is 00:42:12 Wow. I didn't even, I didn't know those things got lifted out of that spot. I know, they're at the end of the row. Yeah, Morgan Evans, he's oddly, large, muscular, good-looking, talented. Like, I don't like that. I like him.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Like him and I will spend a little time together outside of the show. Yeah, he's tall. He's big dude. Yeah. Yeah. Kelsey Ballerney got lucky with that one. You guys like him, huh? I do like him, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:35 And he's Australian? Yeah. He's all things. Sometimes you gotta kiss somebody. Do you watch him work out at all? I did a little bit. So did you go talk to him or he'd come talk to you? He came talk to me.
Starting point is 00:42:45 Oh, you want to bother him because he was in it. Like working out? Yeah. He recognized you? Yeah. What did he say to you? He said he just listened to the Parmilly podcast, the Bobbycast. Yeah, he's a big fan of the Bobbycast.
Starting point is 00:42:54 He all, I should, I don't know why we haven't had him up yet. Oh, you haven't? No. And him and I talk about it all the time too. Yeah. I find that that podcast sometimes, like, people in the industry think that that's cooler than the show, which is. That's cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:12 It's in depth. It's in depth. Yeah. It's a different, yeah, long form. Well, Matt from Parmali came over to the house. The one he's talking about. They said they wrote this song, I wrote. recorded it eight years before it came out. Oh wow. So we had these demos and Carolina was one of the
Starting point is 00:43:29 songs we started and it was a it was a hit regionally. It's a regional band with the CD out and they're singing that song and I knew when I heard it I was like this is what we've been looking for. This is our sound. This is our song. Anyway, so that happened and then you know just like everything else that couldn't get signed off of it. So they couldn't get a deal and they gave it to another artist and a guy named Benton Blunt cut it. And she feels like Karen Lime. And wasn't a hit and apparently the record label this guy had folded so they got the song back and then they recorded it. It went number one. Eight years late. Isn't that crazy?
Starting point is 00:44:04 What a story. Yeah. Oh, dude, the Bobbycast is full of those. Morgan Evans loves it. Isn't it Morgan Evans loves I love? Even if it's the Bobbycast. Yeah, check it out. We got a couple good ones out.
Starting point is 00:44:16 Matt from Parmaly, Nikki Glazer, the comedian came by the house, search show for Bobbycast on IHart Radio or wherever you listen to your podcasts. But nights am to see you and come up to you, huh? Yeah, that was cool. How do you guys know each other? I guess he just recognizing me from like I don't know from like Instagram videos
Starting point is 00:44:33 like the show yeah I guess that well stars are just like us stars are just like us they all listen to the Bobby cast lifting 80 pound dumbbells
Starting point is 00:44:42 that's the part maybe we should get him on the phone later and simply does 80 pound dumbbells those are huge Amy yeah I know I do I do if I'm feeling good I do 20s no Eddie not even 20 bucks
Starting point is 00:44:54 For like biceps If I'm feeling good If I'm feeling really strong No don't no you can't Amy I just saw you go, I could do that. No, no, I didn't say I could do that. I said, I do 12. You did your face.
Starting point is 00:45:03 I do 12. You did your face. Which is a big deal for me because I used to do three pounds and now I do 12. Like, I've worked my way up. But I would have thought at least you did 40. No. Oh, that's heavy. If I'm super strong, I'll do 25.
Starting point is 00:45:16 Girls for the girls. And then if I'm just like normal, feeling pretty good, I'll do 20s. I think that's average. That's pretty good. No, Amy made a face like you're the weakest. I did not. I did not. No.
Starting point is 00:45:27 You miss that. I feel. That's a misunderstanding. We should try to get them on. 80s. Maybe it's 80s. It's time for the good news. With Amy.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Tell me something good. Oh, man. This little girl's therapy pig was hanging out outside of her house. And someone straight up, stopped their car, grabbed the pig, and drove off with the pig in her truck. They pignapped her? Yeah. Okay, good one.
Starting point is 00:45:53 It's funny. So the story got out around town, and people were on the lookout for the pig named Barbie, by the way. A reward was even offered to sweeten the deal, and it worked. A woman heard some strange sounds coming from her neighbor's yard, looked over the fence, and saw Barbie the therapy pig. They stole the pig and they just had a chill in the yard? Yeah, I guess they were probably like, well, put it in the backyard who's going to notice? Well, I guess once word got around town, they're like, okay, there's a reward.
Starting point is 00:46:20 I better turn in this pig. But, I mean, seriously, it was a therapy pig. And someone just straight up saw it, got out of their truck, and stole it, and drove all off. She got the pig back. Yeah, they got to pig back. Because the woman was responding to the reward. Good thing you put it out there.
Starting point is 00:46:36 I mean, you can't even play in the front yard anymore with your pig. I know. What do you think George Washington would say? If he knew that nowadays we could play with our pigs in the front yard. There's someone a few blocks over from me that has a pig. Really? Yes, and it's so cute. I know.
Starting point is 00:46:50 I would like a pig. They sit on the porch with it. I'm like, that's the life. They're like living the American dream right now. On the front porch, it's a beautiful day with their pig. I love a pig. If you want a pig, get a pig. I know, I almost got one before I got my last dog, but I got a dog instead.
Starting point is 00:47:05 But those pigs, you never know how big they get. That's true. Yeah. This one seems pretty big. Yeah, get really big. Well, I'm glad she got her pig back. Yeah. There you go.
Starting point is 00:47:12 That's good news. And that's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 00:50:59 When you get together with friends and family, you don't talk about politics, religion, and now which car is better? Chevy or Ford. Family got together. They were arguing about Chevy's better. No, Ford's better. One guy got so upset, went and grabbed a gun and shot three family members. What?
Starting point is 00:51:15 He actually shot the people, not their car? Even the car's wrong. Wait, that's not even the thing either. But, wow. Yes, it doesn't say if he was on the Chevy side or the Ford side, but he got so upset that they didn't agree with him. He shot three family members. I'm assuming that nobody was seriously hurt because that's the rule in the bonehead.
Starting point is 00:51:32 Right. They are okay, but there was alcohol involved. Well, yeah, probably a Ford guy if you ask me. All right, lunchbox, thanks, bud. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me know. Transmitting across America.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Earlier on, we're talking about Morgan Evans. Apparently Mike D, who writes a lot of the games for our show, sees Morgan Evans to the gym. By the way, Morgan's on. Hey, Morgan. Hey, man, how are you? Hey, good. We're talking about you,
Starting point is 00:52:07 and Mike D said that you came up to him and you guys were talking. And I said, how much does Morgan Evans lift? What are you lifting over there before I tell you what Mike D said? Matey said. Man, I do not lift heavy, man. I'm a pretty skinny fella,
Starting point is 00:52:22 but my gym sessions are more about being able to step and jumping around on stage. Well, that's not what we heard. Wait, okay, let him do know, let him say The total. Let him give the answer of the total. Like if you were doing, what was he, did curls? Dump, what was he doing curls or what? Curles.
Starting point is 00:52:38 What weight do you do with curls, Morgan Evans? Oh, I think I was doing maybe 25 or 30 pounds yesterday. Mike D. said you were doing 80s. Maybe it was 30 and the three looked like an 80. He said that he saw you and I was actually complimenting how fit you are. We were all like, whoa. And then he said, yeah, he had 80 pound dump. And we were like, what is Morgan Evans eating to do 80 pound dumbbells?
Starting point is 00:53:05 No, he's crazy. I honestly, I saw him working out and I thought, you know, I hate interrupted people at the gym. Because it's your own time, your own space. He had his headphones in. But I had to go over and say, hey. And I'm glad that's turned into a rumor about me lifting 80 pounds. Yeah. That means he was doing 160 pounds, Amy.
Starting point is 00:53:24 Oh, yeah. And then, hey, by the way, Morgan Evans is on. And Amy was hating on me earlier because she said how much. how much do you curl? And I said, if I'm feeling strong, I'll do 25s, if I'm normal 20s, if I'm just doing curls, and she was like, I do 12s, and she gave me a face like I'm weak.
Starting point is 00:53:41 Morgan, don't listen to him, he's exaggerating. Oh, look, see, that's another thing, too. I mean, you can, you see guys in there all the time swinging them around, but if you're doing them properly, it's much harder. Yeah, it's much harder. Yeah, it's improperly. How's everything else going, Morgan?
Starting point is 00:53:56 Everything's great. We just pulled up at the Western University of Western Illinois playing a show here tonight and another couple shows in Texas and then heading to Australia on Sunday so flat out. When you go back to Australia are they like, our leader has come back? No, not at all, but it is good to go home. I mean, I liken it to like just going back to your hometown, you know, that's what it feels like to me and it's always nice to do that for, it's only four days, but it's always nice.
Starting point is 00:54:24 Morgan Evans on. I'm going to play day drunk in just one second. Let me ask, because I haven't talked to Kelsey in a little bit. How's she doing? She's doing great. Man, we just, we had some time off last week, so we had three days of actual vacation together, which is an awesome reset.
Starting point is 00:54:37 And she's out doing her headlining tour right now, which I've got to see a couple of shows I've on the weekend, and it's just an awesome show. So, yeah, she's doing great. Do you feel the pressure, Morgan, when Kelsey's performing, or does she fill the pressure when you're performing, both of you, if you're there to go out on stage and give the crowd like, ah, that moment?
Starting point is 00:54:55 It's so funny, man, because I feel like we both give everything we have every night, but certainly I know she says it. Like when I'm there, she's like, I need to impress you tonight. And for her, that means like a couple extra hairflicks or something, you know. But does the audience think you're going to show up and sing with her every time you're there? I don't know. I do notice in the audience, like people will sort of come over and say hi and stuff during the show,
Starting point is 00:55:21 which is always a little awkward because I obviously really appreciate that, but obviously don't want to disrespect what's happening on the show. But, man, in general, you know, country music fans are the nicest people there are, and it's always pretty respectful. Well, he's on now. He curls 80 on each arm, Morgan Evans. This is an amazing rumor. I can start this rumor without a photo, so you can send out the challenges.
Starting point is 00:55:44 I know you like doing that. He's a phenomenon. I'm going to talk to you, but it's all right if we woke you up. Oh, good, mate. It's great to talk to you. That's a good one. On This Day in Country Music, 1998. The Bobby Bonds Show.
Starting point is 00:55:57 On this day in country music. Shania Twain lands at number one on the country chart with You're Still the One. The song was written by Shania and her then-husband, Mutt Lang. It won the Grammy in 98 for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song. It was her most successful song to enter the pop chart. It was the most successful country-to-pop crossover until Love Story came along from Taylor Swift, which went number one in 2008. That was the big one. That was the big crossover for a long time.
Starting point is 00:56:38 And then Taylor did this. Other crossovers have been... Lady Annabelle, need you now. Peaked at number two in 2009. Akey Breaky Heart from Billy Ray Cyrus. Peaked at number four on the pop chart. And 92. And...
Starting point is 00:57:01 Lone Star Amaze, peaked at number 7 and 99 on the pop chart. So those are all the songs that went pop that were massive. I think Rascal Flats had one. Dan and Shea is doing it now. You know, so yeah, but good for Shania. On this day, that song went number one in country music, 1998. There you go. It's Morgan No. 2's favorite artist.
Starting point is 00:57:25 She's my jam. Have you met her? Yeah, that was my first day that I joined the show. What, your first day on the show we brought in your hero? Yes. Well, that's amazing. Were you like, holy crap? Yeah, it was a lot.
Starting point is 00:57:36 This is every day. It was a lot. It was exciting, though. That would be crazy. You get a new job and you go to your new job and your hero, your musical hero is there. Do you say anything to her? Yeah, you guys have me get a picture with her. So I got to talk to her and was like, oh, I was freaking out.
Starting point is 00:57:52 I was shaking a little bit. Thing, what a good first day. And we planned that for her. She doesn't know that. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a Bobby Bones show. We're going to bring in the girl group? Because I want to talk about this.
Starting point is 00:58:05 A bride-to-be who decided to not have an open bar at her wedding is branded super tacky because she owes her guests booze. So let's bring in the girls. First of all, to my left, Mike Owe's, Amy, Amy, welcome to the show. Hey, hey, hey, yeah, happy to be here.
Starting point is 00:58:30 I've been married 12 years, so I've had a wedding of my own. I have a strong opinion about this. Can't wait to give it. On New Year's Eve, you got married. I did. So it was definitely expected to be a party. Morgan number two, there she is, everybody.
Starting point is 00:58:42 She's also in the girl group. Hi, Morgan number two. Hi, hi. So I'm 25 years old. I haven't been married. I've been to a lot of weddings. weddings though, so I have some opinions. She has some opinions, too.
Starting point is 00:58:51 We have opinions. All right, and over to my right, just walking in the studio because she works in the classroom. Utility Hillary. There she is. Hi, Hillary. I'm 26. I'm also not married, but I've been a bride's made in many weddings, so I have an opinion
Starting point is 00:59:03 too. All right, good. That's what we want. All opinions here. So, here you go. I'll read you some of the story here. A bride to be has sparked furious debate online as she questioned whether she should have an open bar at her wedding.
Starting point is 00:59:15 The wife to be got on Facebook. And there were 800 people that responded and said, hey, wedding, no open bar. If you're going to come, you got to pay for alcohol. So there you have it. Let's go over to Amy first. Amy, your thoughts. I think that it's totally fine for your guests to pay for alcohol if they want to. If you can afford to have an open bar, great.
Starting point is 00:59:38 But weddings are so expensive. And you're already putting on so much for your special day. A lot's going into it. having a bar and then having guests to have to pay is not that big of a deal to me. There is something I do have a suggestion though. Like maybe if you can find your budget to do like one drink for each person coming, you can give them like, I've been in a wedding. Slightly open.
Starting point is 00:59:59 That's a cracked bar. Listen, you get a one drink coupon and then after your coupon's gone, you can start paying for drinks. Is it tacky to give out coupons at a wedding though? Is it? I didn't think it was tacky. I thought it was like, oh wow. You get those little admit one. Seriously.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Like Bobby, I mean, having gone through a wedding myself and paid for it, everything adds up. And, like, alcohol can just be so expensive. So you can still have an opportunity to offer it and people have fun. And they probably get a good dinner. But they may have to pay for their alcohol. It's not a big deal. Let's go over to Morgan number two. What do you think Morgan number two?
Starting point is 01:00:32 I think it's tacky. Personally, because I've been to both. I've been to a wedding where I have had to pay and where I haven't. And I can just tell you that the vibe of the wedding is a lot different. people feel more uncomfortable. You have to bring cash. There's a lot more planning that goes into it. And not only that, for me, if I'm going to have my wedding,
Starting point is 01:00:52 I want to have everything that I want. So if I can't do that yet, then maybe I shouldn't be getting married yet. Like, I'm going to wait until I can do that. So I can provide that. Mostly because I want my friends to have a great time. And I just know that they expect that. So Amy says cracked bar. Morgan number two says open bar.
Starting point is 01:01:10 Hillary? I don't think it's tacky. I mean, the weddings I've been in, none of them were open bar. And my sister didn't even have alcohol at her wedding at all. It was out of church, so we just religious reasons didn't have alcohol. But I don't think you don't have to have alcohol at your wedding and you definitely don't have to pay for it at all. It's expensive.
Starting point is 01:01:27 So we have crack bar, open bar, close bar. Yes. We kind of cover. Don't even need a bar. Let me jump in and just give my opinion. I know I'm not part of the girl group, but I would say that if you're going, if you're not going to have an open bar just don't put a bar in
Starting point is 01:01:44 don't have a bar so no alcohol that's what if it were me doing it if I could have provided it I don't want to provide it meaning if I can't pay for it I don't want people have to show up with money
Starting point is 01:02:01 to have to buy something in my wedding that's what I'm going to do it's not a big deal I would just say no bar I would go cash bar before I go no bar I would go no bar before I go cash bar wow okay so I'll say for my husband and I's wedding alcohol was such an expensive part
Starting point is 01:02:15 that we looked at our budget and what we wanted to do and so in order to make it an open bar. Everybody got a wristband. No. No, no, no. We had an open bar. We had an open bar, but we didn't have liquor. We had Ket, like, Shiner We had a couple different really awesome beers
Starting point is 01:02:33 and my husband loves like Shinerbach. And then we had red wine, white wine, and champagne. So, I mean, there was still alcohol, but there is no hard liquor, which can add up. It's open bar. Yeah, nobody had to pay for anything. So when you're saying what I said, only give what you can give. Well, yeah, you kind of just said if you can't afford it, like, you'll have a bar.
Starting point is 01:02:51 If you can't give it, don't make people show up and pay for it. That's what I'm saying. If you can, let them have it. It's like you wouldn't have, you wouldn't set up food trucks and make people pay for the food. I bet some people. You can set up food trucks. I love the food truck idea, but you don't set up food trucks and then make people pay for the food trucks.
Starting point is 01:03:06 Either you pay for the food trucks or you don't have them come in. I wonder if anybody is ever at a wedding where they like charge. for the food. That's what I'm saying. That's my point. I mean, not the food trick. I'm thinking like the catering or the plates. But again, same thing. Cake. You want a piece of cake? Lunchbox, what do you think about this? You're the resident drinker. Oh, listen to this. If you don't have alcohol at your wedding, no one's going. You're getting a lot of nose, nose, nose. And it's very tacky if you don't have an open bar. You are going to celebrate. You're supposed to be throwing the party. We're not supposed to be paying for the party. Like, you're throwing the party. It's
Starting point is 01:03:39 your wedding. You want people to have a good time. We don't want to have to pay to go to your party. That's lame. Can you do B-Y-O-B? You can do whatever you want. And I think at the core of it is, you do whatever you want. You do you. However, if the question is asked here, I think you don't provide a bar unless you can pay for the bar. If you can't, don't. Same of the food. You wouldn't ask someone to pay for food. You don't like the coupon idea. I do not. But in the end, it doesn't matter what I think at your wedding. You should do what you want. I mean, me personally, I'd rather have an open bar, but I'm saying it's not tacky. I don't think it's tacky. That being said, I'm now going to
Starting point is 01:04:11 plate tequila from Dan and shit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, Bobby Bone Show. By the way, thank you to our girl group. Here they are again. Always coming in. There we, okay. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

So an employee at Domino's in Texas attacked a co-worker a few days ago for sharing an Avengers endgame spoiler. Yeah, the spoiler.
Starting point is 01:08:10 That makes me mad too. I'm not going to attack anyone, but it does make me mad because that's, it's disrespectful. And you know it's important to them? Yeah, you still ruin it. That's mean. It is. The employee that attacked was 33 years old, so grown man. And he was cited for assault.
Starting point is 01:08:27 And yeah, he just didn't want the movie ruined. And he should have been, but again, there's no reason to be a jerk, just to be a jerk. Like to ruin a movie. Or to run anything at the end of the movie. of a book. I don't like that. I've been trying to avoid that. That's all.
Starting point is 01:08:42 I don't even talk about it right now. I don't press that you're avoiding it. I still don't know. I don't want to talk about it. But yeah, I get it. He shouldn't have done it, but I get it. What else? Okay, so speaking of superheroes, I got a tip for parents that I saw.
Starting point is 01:08:52 So if you want your kids to help with cleaning, there was the thing that said, all you do is simply print out some pictures of superheroes and put it around the house, and it'll, like, make them think they're the characters, and they suddenly want to do more. So I decided to, like, test it out. in my house. Oh, you did this? And actually, well, I didn't print them out because that, my husband, my son has a superhero costume, Captain America. So he had chores to do and I said, why don't you put on your Captain America costume and do the chores? And I kid you not, he did them better. I mean, he's good at vacuuming, but he was like, all of a sudden he had
Starting point is 01:09:25 a suit on and he's like, I'm Captain America. Like, I'm in a vacuum and I'm going to vacuum well because I have to protect my home, like, and keep it clean. Like, so now, from now on, I was so glad I read this superhero tip that made me think for him to put on his costume. So to all parents, if your kids have a costume, have them put it on when they need to do chores. Because it helped. Maybe even buy them one. Yeah, get them one simply to get them help out around the house more. But if you, if you don't, they say that just tacking a picture of heroes on the wall will inspire them to contribute because they want to be better.
Starting point is 01:09:55 So does Superman have like a broom in his hand? Or does this picture of him? No, they say it's just something that triggers in their brain of like. Swipper sweeper, spider man's got a swipper sweeper. No. No, they said to do something in their head But it helps So I have the top five places that we cry
Starting point is 01:10:10 And then I was curious if you have a spot you go to to cry And Bobby you've been I've been crying all the time watching things I cried at the end of the Bray Brown movie Or the special I cried at the end of La La Land One of my friends' dogs died Recently like her dog And she was tweet
Starting point is 01:10:24 And I was like reading her Instagram message And I was crying I just don't cry in front of humans I cry alone Do you ever cry in your Let me think about where I cry. Mostly, if I do it, I'm in my bed because I never leave my room. So I would say in my bed, but I would say, for me, it's in my bed.
Starting point is 01:10:45 The only place I cry, because I'm watching stuff. Yeah, yours is brought on by you seeing something else that ignites the emotion. So there's people at work, like 34% of people say they cry at work. Number two, at a family event. So this number four? And then number one, in the car. So the number one place is in the car How many do you have there?
Starting point is 01:11:08 Well, I know I said top five, but four and five just seem ridiculous to me. Like who'd they pull? Number five. At number five? At the grocery store. Well, come on. Maybe the swimper's expensive, you know? Okay. Number four. Walking down the street.
Starting point is 01:11:21 Okay. Three. And work. Yeah, I get work too. Yeah, I do. At a family event. And number one is in the car. My place didn't make the list. And yours is?
Starting point is 01:11:29 The closet. The closet. Yes. I mean, that's where I escape to go. cry. But I mean, the car would be a close second for me. Music, songs, or you're just alone, and that's like you're one place to
Starting point is 01:11:41 just, that's kind of why I go to the closet to be alone. There you have it. All right, Amy's that it? Yeah. That's a pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Damn it's something good.
Starting point is 01:11:59 Brandy Thornton is a mother in Colorado and she is what we call a double donor. A few years ago. A few years she decided she wanted to do something nice, she was inspired, so she donated her kidney to a random stranger that needed a kidney transplant. So now she's donating part of her liver to someone else that needs a liver transplant. Wow. She is a double donor and these are very, very rare.
Starting point is 01:12:24 Well, I wonder if that's like getting a tattoo. You do it, you want another one. Yeah, once you donate, you get addicted. I mean, but obviously doctors would have to clear her to be like, okay. I mean, your body's already at risk If you're missing one of your kidneys And good on her Yeah, she donated a kidney to a man in Ohio
Starting point is 01:12:39 And now it's a little boy that is getting part of her liver Dang Well, listen, good for her, that's amazing I wonder what's next What else can she donate? Oh, I guess you can... I mean, she could... I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:50 Hair? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Blocks for love or whatever. Yeah. Is that pretty much the only thing That she could do alive? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:59 They may be able to take fingers. Oh, boy. Fingers. Or, or, or, or, No, no, no, no, no, no. Anyway, I like her. It's blend it up right there. Nice job, lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:13:09 That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 32nd Skinny. Luke Combs was a big country winner, taking home three awards at last night's Billboard Music Awards, including Top Country Artist. Florida Georgia Line won the Top Country Song for Meant to Be with B.B. Reksa and Dan and Shea won Top Country Duo,
Starting point is 01:13:30 as well as Carrianda one Top Country Female. My favorite thing about this award show if I were an artist, you already know if you're going to win because it's all database. There's no getting there and wondering. Oh, okay, true. Yeah. So you're like, I know because I have to sit there and go, oh, the worst is when you go and you sit and you don't win. I've done that before where it's like, here are the nominees. They don't call your name.
Starting point is 01:13:51 You're just like, and you have to fake it and be like, I'm so honored. Whatever. I want to win. But anyway, they got to go and Dana Shea killed it with Tori Kelly last night. They were so good. Morgan number two, what else? Ellen gave Blake Shelton an engagement countdown clock for Gwen Stefani on the Ellen show,
Starting point is 01:14:09 and Blake Shelton joked that it means Gwen is going to propose to him. There's a chance she's going to ask me to marry her. Yes. You're saying with this clock? Yeah, with this clock. See how I flipped it around and put it on her? Yeah. So now that she knows that you're waiting for her to ask,
Starting point is 01:14:24 now that she sees this, she'll ask you. I guess I just thought they were married already. Yeah. So, again, if there has. happy, who cares. Who cares if you get married or not? If they're happy, let them be happy. What else, morning number two? So, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner got impromptu married
Starting point is 01:14:40 right after the Billboard Music Awards last night in Vegas, and Dan and Shea were there. Wait, they got married last night? Yeah, right after Game of Thrones? Yes. Sonsa? Wow. Yes. They got married after the show last night? That's crazy. Impromptu? Yeah, like, they're engaged, but this is new, and it was to an Elvis impersonator, was like
Starting point is 01:14:58 their officiant. That's why I'm going to do something like that. That's how I'm going to get married. I'm I'm just going to go do it sometime. Well, Dan and Shay, they sing their song, speechless. Get that little... There you go. Get that little out of there. Well, they sing their song speechless down the aisle, so that's awesome.
Starting point is 01:15:13 Yeah, there you go. Here it is again. Speechless. There you have it. Thank you, Morgan number two. Yep, I'm Morgan number two. That's the skinny. Folks, it's your buddy and my...
Starting point is 01:15:25 Mr. Bobby Bones. Hey, Kate in Minnesota. What's happening? Hi. Oh, my gosh. You good? Yeah. the first time caller, long time listeners.
Starting point is 01:15:45 Thank you. Yeah, so I live in Minnesota. I just wanted to say hi. And I also just wanted to thank you for all the advice that you've been giving about motivation versus discipline. I've really been using it a lot in my life. And I just find it to be, I don't know, it's great. Oh, well, thanks.
Starting point is 01:16:03 I appreciate that. We're about to do the investigative corny. Do you ever hear this segment? Oh, I love this segment. Okay. You want to hang through with us and see if you can be a part of the show. team. I lunchbox is working out of studio in Austin this morning. So I think we've got
Starting point is 01:16:17 six in a row. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. But we're working at a bit of deficit because lunchbox isn't in the room. Right. We can't look him in the eyes. That's what I like do. I like looking you in the eyes, lunchbox, and figuring this out together. Yeah, I know. I think that makes you smarter when you look into my eyes because you're like, man, he's smart.
Starting point is 01:16:33 So if I look in his eyes, I'll get some of that by All right. And it's romantic. There we go. Okay. Thank you. Are we ready, Amy? Yes. All right, here we go. Now time for the morning corny. The morning corny. What brand of car does an egg drive? What brand of car does an egg drive?
Starting point is 01:16:55 All right, so we're going to investigate this. All right. I have crack. Yoke wagon? A yoke wagon? A yoke wagon. A yoke's wagon. A yoke's wagon.
Starting point is 01:17:06 Kate, it's a yoke's wagon. It has to be a yoke's wagon. It's your name, right? Kate, yep. Kate, it's got to be a yoke. I don't know that I would have got that, boys and girls. Like, Kate just crushed Yokeswagon. I'm trying to think if there's anything else.
Starting point is 01:17:20 No, that's it. That's it. It has to be it. No question. Kate, she's like, that's it. Wow. Amy, because of Kate, we might have, we brought a listener on today, and she said it's the Yokes wagon.
Starting point is 01:17:30 Does she keep the streak alive? Here we go. The morning corny. What brand of car does an egg drive? What brand of car does an egg drive? Yolks Wagon! There you are. She nailed it.
Starting point is 01:17:45 Dang, Kate. Wow, you're good. Look, oh, here. Hold on. We got to do our thing where we're Eddie Yolns. Clear eyes, full hearts, Kallel. There we go.
Starting point is 01:18:01 Last week, people were saying I was giving y'all softballs. They were too easy. And I actually thought that one was going to be a little bit more challenging. Not for Kate. Nah. Not for Kate. Kate. Hey, Raymond.
Starting point is 01:18:12 Eddie was like, crack. What do we have to give her? Oh, yeah, a bunches of stuff. Hold on, let's see what we have in the prize. We don't have prizes. We have just, like, junk people send us. We have a candle. We have a candle from Granger Smith's, yee, yee.
Starting point is 01:18:24 We're making a prize. Hold on, we're making a prize bundle right here. This is good. A B-Team hat. Yep. Yes, I love that. And? An umbrella from Casey Musgraves.
Starting point is 01:18:33 Okay. Oh, it's a hat umbrella. Those are cool. Okay, what else? And then you're a book. And I'll sign the book. Yes. How about that prize pack, Kate.
Starting point is 01:18:41 That's awesome. That's amazing. A hat. A Casey Musgraves umbrella and a yee-e candle has probably been in there a year. That sounds fantastic. Kaye, hold on. Thank you for playing with us. And thank you for keeping the streak alive.
Starting point is 01:18:53 All right. There we go. There's Kate. Who hopped on and did a fantastic job there. Starting point is 01:22:29 slash military. Alex Trebek, you know, sick. He's got cancer. He announced it last month. But he was on Good Morning. America yesterday, giving a health update? My oncologist tells me I'm doing well, even though I don't always feel it. I've had kidney stones.
Starting point is 01:22:48 I've had ruptured discs, so I'm used to dealing with pain. But what I'm not used to dealing with is the surges that come on suddenly of deep, deep sadness. And it brings tears to my eyes. Did your mom deal with that with the chemo? I've seen it in my dad. Now? Now, well, when he was going through treatment. But my mom, I mean, she was so strong.
Starting point is 01:23:17 I never, I didn't see my mom cry. And if I was her, I would have been literally crying every day. This guy, this Alex Trebek, who we've grown up with. He's been on Jeopardy our whole life. I mean, he's staying on that show. He's working. Yeah. Those searches of sadness, is that a thing?
Starting point is 01:23:34 I'm assuming it's like hormonal, right? I think it's a, it could be side effects or it could just be psychologically. when you're dealing with it, like there's something deep inside. My dad went through, it caused a lot of anxiety, and he wasn't used to having that. And the anxiety caused the stress, and then it caused frustration, and then it would cause tears. Well, I was watching, I think it was him and Robin
Starting point is 01:23:54 Roberts. Yeah, I know you love her. I told you, I couldn't believe she recognized me. I know. She came up to me. I'm so happy for you. She's the greatest person ever. Yeah. I'm sitting back at the draft. It gives me hope. She goes, Bobby Bones! And I wasn't going to bother her. Did I tell the story on the air?
Starting point is 01:24:10 I think you did. And I was like, hi, Robin. Yeah, you did. And she was like, Bobby! Well, I just tried to get out quick because I never want to like hold her too long. Yeah. She was walking through and she was like, bye votes. She goes, you did so good feeling for Ryan Seacrest.
Starting point is 01:24:23 And I was like, I cannot believe you know who I am because I've done Good Morning America. But those guests come through like crazy on that show. Yeah. And then she was like, man, you've been good. She goes, you know I read your book? And I said, I know I told everybody on my show that all the time. Yeah. We know.
Starting point is 01:24:35 And then I was like, hey, I tried to cut it because I just didn't want her to feel like I was extending her time too much. And I was like, it's so good to see you, good luck. I said, you're back, because she did Sports Center for a long time. I said, you're back in sports. How's this feeling? She was, well, I haven't done it a while, but, you know, I know why I'm here. And I was like, okay, go get him. And then I just ran away because I just didn't want to be the guy that held her too long.
Starting point is 01:24:53 Yeah. And you know, you don't want to meet people that you look up to because they might be like, well, you've given me such hope that she's awesome. She is awesome. So one day if I do meet her, I'll be like, you're awesome, just like I thought. To me, she's been awesome. Yeah. Yeah. I've heard that all the way around.
Starting point is 01:25:06 I've never heard anything bad about her. I haven't either, but I don't know. I just know my story. Rinaldo buys a $9.5 million car. It's crazy that a car can cost $9.5 million. What's in a car? Diamonds. Are you just in a diamond?
Starting point is 01:25:20 Gold. You just carve a hole in a diamond. It's like the Flintstone car, but it's just all diamonds. It's a Bugatti. Hey, Mike, do you show me what this car looks like. Bugatti has confirmed it found a buyer for its one-off love Viture Noir sports car, which costs $9.5 million. It is beautiful.
Starting point is 01:25:40 Nine point. But I mean, it can only go so fast. It looks like normal, does it? No. Like a Toyota Selleca? It doesn't. No. But does it like, can it fly?
Starting point is 01:25:53 That's what I'm saying. A car can only do. Is there a grill in there? Like, what can you do? Does it come with a butler? With 9.5 million. Or like a car attendant? Room service.
Starting point is 01:26:02 Like I see why tour buses cost so much. because you put all these amenities into them. Does it say why it costs $9.5 million? That's like what an airplane is. Well, they're not confirming it's him, but most people are saying it's him. Wow, this is fancy. So Instagram's going to test hiding the number of likes on posts.
Starting point is 01:26:24 So they have this big meeting where, because Facebook owns Instagram, all the people, the developers go in, and they get together. And one of Instagram's top executives said, hey, we're going to start to test if you don't get likes how that makes you feel. So he explained to make Instagram feel
Starting point is 01:26:40 less like a competition. I'm on Instagram yesterday and I was on this dating app and I got off for a little bit and I got back on it and I had seen that I sent this girl a message but it didn't go through and so on this app
Starting point is 01:26:54 you can go to their Instagram page and so I'm so stupid I felt ridiculous even saying this story. So you redirect like on the app you redirect to Instagram? But what I saw was I didn't the message I sent her did not go through last time. She had messaged me. I messaged her back, but it didn't go through.
Starting point is 01:27:09 Okay. So I go to her Instagram and I pull it up and I say, hey. And I'm just looking at pictures. You know how you just get on someone's page and start for a little bit to scroll through. Totally. Before you know it, you're in like 2015. Well, I actually liked something like seven months ago. Oh, yeah. It was so bad. I know it popped up and I was like, no! So instead of, and I tried to unlike it and then I think I was like hyper liking it. I think It was like. Do people get notifications if you like and then unlike?
Starting point is 01:27:35 I don't know. And then he liked again and then he unliked it. Because that's what was happening. And I felt so stupid. And you know me, if there's a problem, I usually compound it. So I just send a direct mess on Instagram. I was like, hey, sorry about that. I was talking to your page.
Starting point is 01:27:46 Nice. Just nipped it in the bud. Yeah. Just, I felt so dumb. So then did she reply? No. Oh. No.
Starting point is 01:27:54 No. Do you want to read? You can read what I, don't say her name. Okay. You can read what I wrote. This is a cringe word that this is to me. This is after the fact. After I liked it.
Starting point is 01:28:04 Go ahead. Read out of that. Okay. Hey, it's Bobby. We matched on that app a while back, and I guess my last, and I guess my last message never sent, just realized it. So I thought I'd say hello. I also accidentally clicked like stalking your page.
Starting point is 01:28:22 Grit, E, emoji, and laughing face emoji. I know. I just felt like I had to come clean. I wasn't even going to send that message until I accidentally stalked her. I got caught. But you know there was a chance she may not have noticed that you like the little picture. I know. That's not how I do it, though. Not anymore.
Starting point is 01:28:35 I'm just like, if it happens, just say the truth. Okay. Why does your face look weird? I don't know. I'm just like... She didn't respond. I know. And then, you know...
Starting point is 01:28:44 She's probably thinking you didn't respond to her a while ago. Whatever. I didn't mean... I meant to. So maybe she responded. It's just stuck. It didn't go through. I just felt so dumb.
Starting point is 01:28:53 She's probably showed all her friends by now. Oh, screenshot is it? That's my biggest fear. Nah, that's not my biggest fear. My biggest fear is this Saturday. We're playing our AHara Country Festival that we're going to get out there and sing our songs. Nobody's going to sing along with us. That's our biggest fear.
Starting point is 01:29:09 Now I'm stalking her. Don't what did you do? Remember her page to go look at her? Don't do that. Wow, you stalk her, Amy. What? She memorized her username. That's why she was looking at it so long.
Starting point is 01:29:19 Don't be rude. What? That's not rude going to someone's Instagram? Facebook is also letting you connect with what they're calling Secret Crush. Because Facebook wants to get in the market. So Facebook is now at, has this thing called secret crush they're testing, but it's going to come out in America.
Starting point is 01:29:35 So think of it like Bumble or however. This is just, I can just see marriage is being ruined because of this too. Let's just keep going. Keep talking. So if someone adds you to their secret crush list, Facebook will send you a notification saying a friend added you as a secret crush.
Starting point is 01:29:50 If you picked the same person for your list, Facebook will match you together and reveal your names. Oh, so you won't know. You won't know. The only way you'll know is if you move them over there too. Oh, okay. Well, yeah. If the feelings are only one-sided, the lover's identity remains secret.
Starting point is 01:30:07 I mean. So married people just don't play this game. But you know, here's the thing, and here's why it's going to get people in trouble. I think a lot of married people are interested in how the dating apps work now because, Eddie, like yourself, you were never dating when the apps existed. No, they weren't around. So there's got to be a curiosity to just see it more so than do it. You're not trying to date anybody, but it was like a video game. Sometimes you just want to see what...
Starting point is 01:30:30 Yeah, it is. Play a little bit. Amy, aren't you curious sometimes at how it works? People talk about it? Oh, yeah. I get on my friends and I swipe for them. Go, great.
Starting point is 01:30:37 That's my point. I'm like, ooh, yeah. You swipe, swipe. Now imagine you already have Facebook and it's just sitting there and you're not cheating because it's there. People are going to start tinkering around
Starting point is 01:30:46 all the sudden Frank the Melman is going to put you on the list and you're going to go, let me try Frank. And then you get... It's all fun in games until that name's reveal. It's all funny game.
Starting point is 01:30:56 Yep. Secret crush. But back it up to the the real intent for it and for single people. Like, it actually is kind of awesome that you don't have to say who you are until it's matched. Yeah. I'm not a big fan of Facebook. Yeah, me neither, but.
Starting point is 01:31:13 And not because I think I'm too cool for it. It's just too gross. It's negative. If the feeds are super negative, don't go to our Bobby Bone Show page because all they do is that jump you. You ever been digitally jumped? Digitally jumped. Digitably job.
Starting point is 01:31:30 Walk over there and write something and watch people. You're like an alley sometimes. Like, don't go after like 8 p.m. It's dangerous. I say that in Morgan number two. Like, don't say that because she runs the page so well. She runs the page so well. But it's tough.
Starting point is 01:31:48 But anyway. By the way, let me mention again that tomorrow, no Saturday, our IHard Country Festival. There will be so many acts there. Florida Georgia Line. Tim McGraw. us, Bobby Bones and the raging idiots. Like you just throw that in there. I know.
Starting point is 01:32:02 It's a mix. Well, it is in the mix. We're right in the middle of the show. You can watch our IHeart Country Festival presented by Capital One, live Saturday night at livexlive.com or on LiveXLive's apps and socials. So it's live by live, so it's called,
Starting point is 01:32:17 but it's LivexLive.com, Twitter and Instagram at LiveXLive. I'm worried, like we're going to play Jesus knows and then nobody's going to sing along. That's why I'm worried. Because Jesus knows when you're on a red light of you in. That would be cool of everyone's saying that part. Yeah, I think that that's it.
Starting point is 01:32:34 I think people will sing back. You think? Yeah, because it's a song you hear once or twice and you know it. It's our new single. Isn't that why people go like, now you sing it? But I'm afraid to do that because then we go, it's just been crickets. I'm like, all right, everybody, I have a country festival, your turn. Dang it.
Starting point is 01:32:50 Okay, we'll sing it. All right, okay, okay, okay, we're going to start over. J.K. Well, yeah. So, stream it or download it. Jesus knows and get ready for Saturday night. Yeah, prepare. Maybe record yourself singing it online.
Starting point is 01:33:04 You can watch it and sing it with us. Yeah, so, here, we'll play it. This is from Bobby Bones and the Raging Idiots. Out of all your hits, you know, because everyone just gets a select amount of songs because it's a festival, like, how are you all going to narrow down your hits? We already know what songs we're doing. Yeah, we got it.
Starting point is 01:33:19 Okay, you got it. What are we doing? Emoji love. Emoji love. Oh, people will sing back to that. We got that. Emoji. Love, whoa.
Starting point is 01:33:28 Don't say who's coming out with us. I will not say that. We have a special guest coming out at the end with us. It's not Lil Nas X, though, so don't get, it's like a real, it's like a good. Yeah. We're doing Jesus Knows and then a couple fun covers, because who wants to hear a whole set of us just doing our songs? I mean, y'all have good stuff. Namaste is good.
Starting point is 01:33:48 I don't think we're playing it. Oh, you're not going to do it. That's old stuff. Like you said, very limited on time. Okay, you've moved on. Very limited. So here's Jesus knows from Bobby Bones and the Raging Idiots. We recorded this live in Boston.
Starting point is 01:33:58 It's up now if you want to check it, download it, play it in church. Learn it. Yeah. Memorize it. Yeah, nobody's sending it's church videos either. I don't get it. No pastors are just playing it in their service. Don't get that.
Starting point is 01:34:11 And now time for a segment called What's Wrong with People? Where are we asked? Well, what's wrong with people? Thank you. I'll start. A woman who went to the midnight showing of Avengers in the game at an Orange County movie theater last week had been diagnosed with measles. Oh.
Starting point is 01:34:29 So she exposed... She decided to go anyways? Yeah. The woman who went to the theater was under quarantine after being diagnosed. And now health officials are warning others in the crowd
Starting point is 01:34:38 they may have been exposed to measles. The woman in her 20s had just returned from a trip. She was infected with the measles but she went to the midnight showing of the finale of the Avengers saga. My question is, What's wrong with people?
Starting point is 01:34:52 What's wrong with people? Thank you. Amy. So it's a woman in her child driving down the road and there's Chevy Suburban and Houston. And I don't know what happened to cause this man to get angry on a Harley Davidson, but she was stopped to turn and he needed to pull up beside her and flip her off. So he did.
Starting point is 01:35:12 But that wasn't good enough. So he pulled in front of her and needed to look back and look her in the eye and flip her off again. Well, when he looked back, he crashed. Flipped his Harley. I mean, he's in the hospital, but in stable condition. But, I mean, road rage, is it really worth it? Well, you know, you should be satisfied with your one finger flip. No, he flipped her off once.
Starting point is 01:35:38 Then he flipped her off twice so she can see his face. And listen, I've driven Houston. You don't mess around there. I was there a lot with my mom. I got flipped off more times than that's the place. No, no, no, no. In Houston, that's the most I've ever been flipped. thought ever. But I mean, you do get flipped off everywhere.
Starting point is 01:35:58 No, but I'm telling you. You don't notice it though, Amy. You don't see people. Okay, fine. Amy drives through and when you're behind you, you're going to see everybody's fingers go up. You can't drive. Well, my debt perception sometimes is a little off. But anyway, yeah, this guy flipping people off. What's wrong with people? What's wrong with people? All right, Eddie, over
Starting point is 01:36:17 to you, buddy. Yeah, there's a parking meter cop, and he thought it'd be funny to give a people a lot of tickets and then remove the tickets. So they never see the ticket and then they get fined anyway. And people never know that they get fine and they have a warrant for their arrest. Oh, wow. Just for fun. So you got busted doing it on camera though.
Starting point is 01:36:35 What? Yeah. Wow. Sounds like, what's wrong with people? What's wrong with people? Lunchbox. Yeah. You're up.
Starting point is 01:36:46 All right, there is. Lunchbox, everybody. What's wrong with people? What's wrong with people? What's wrong with people? I don't have a story. That's all with people. What's wrong with people?
Starting point is 01:36:55 All right, there he is. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Yeah, this is even better than I thought it was going to be. This is a good one. A dad graduates college, excuse me, a dad graduates college with his daughter and son. So a father just graduated.
Starting point is 01:37:14 By the way, father Pat McGill, his daughter Reagan and his son, Ryan, all got to walk across the stage at Eastern Michigan University commencement this week. He graduated with a degree in exercise science. His daughter graduated with psychology, and Pat got his degree in construction management all at the same time. So when they say walk across the stage, they don't mean literally they walked. Like they all got their degree and walked. That's cool. He's been taking classes while working as a police officer with the college's public safety department for the last 20 years. So because he works at school, he gets to take classes for free.
Starting point is 01:37:45 And he's been doing that little by little taking a few hours and he finally got his degree. And when the trio, the dad and two kids realized they were all going to be finishing up college around the same time, they decided to all actually be and graduate together and walk across together too. So they did both literally and figuratively. Wow. Love that. Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool. I thought it was going to be a police dog.
Starting point is 01:38:03 No, even better as kids. There you go. That's Tell Me Something Good right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. By the way, Dr. Phil went on James Corden last night, and Dr. Phil had a bandage on his head. I saw this clip this morning. He had just had surgery. Ronnie Dunn from Brooks & Dunn, saw something on his head and was like,
Starting point is 01:38:21 case you get that checked out, it was skin cancer. What? Yeah, here. I was actually on the show, and Ronnie Dunn from Brooks and Dunn, a good friend of mine, he tries to call me, can't get me, so he calls Jay, my son, and says, there's something on your dad's head that doesn't look right. He needs to go have that looked at. Okay, so I go, and sure enough, it's a squamous cell, Carson Owain with it, they have to cut out. Yeah. So there's like 15 stitches under there. So because he saw it, like TV picture or whatever, I was like, hey, get that checked out.
Starting point is 01:38:52 Oh, my gosh. Oh, Ronnie, done. A listener just did that to me on Instagram. Should I go get it checked out? Well, now you're going to be nervous if you don't. Right. It's the thing on my nose. And she's like, oh, yeah, that happened to me.
Starting point is 01:39:03 Go get a checked out. It's like this weird scab thing that keeps coming back. And I've talked about it on Instagram. I mean, you can feel it right now. It's a rough patch. She goes, you should go get that checked out. Like, literally. Wow.
Starting point is 01:39:14 Boy, if we listen to everybody on Instagram, we're going to be at the doctor all day. And I'm already there anyway. I know, but it is weird that I have this constant scab on my nose. It won't go away. It'll peel off and then it comes back. What's happening with everybody medically right now? That's a fun segment.
Starting point is 01:39:28 Amy, you're up. Medically, what's going on with you? Well, I mean, this is a little troublesome to me now. Like, I now have a spot on my nose. Also, just basically, anytime I move, it hurts. Why is that? I don't know. I tried to start running again, which is something I did in my 20s.
Starting point is 01:39:43 I've been, like, yoga and whatever since then, and I quit running, but I need to start bringing it back in with some weight training that I'm doing. So I've been running like three miles and I want to die. Lunchbox, anything medically happening with you? Oh, yeah, my bone spur. I have been medically clear to start jogging again so I can start jogging, not full activity. But the good news is the bone spur is loosening up and I'm healing quite well. Wow, around the room.
Starting point is 01:40:11 Producer Eddie, anything medically happening with you? Yeah, I have these white spots on my chin and my neck, Vidaligo, doctor. say, but they really don't have a solution to this. But actually, a listener to message me and said, I had that too, and I ate broccoli and vitamin B. And it went away. So I'm going to try that. Morgan number two, anything medically happened? We were only 25. Probably nothing. Well, I have my throat thing. So something with my thyroid's going on, but we're trying to figure it out. She'll be talking and she'll go about, all of a sudden it's like the demon takes over her throat. And it sounds like she's sick or she has an allergy thing. Just like that.
Starting point is 01:40:44 Yeah. And I'm like, I'll cover for you. But. Then she keeps talking through it. And this morning, you're in the skinny, I was like, ugh. And she was like, are you okay? And I was like, no, I'm doing that for you. That's your cue. That's your cue. Like, clear your throat.
Starting point is 01:40:57 What about you? I don't know if you want to know mine. Oh. What? Well, I'm trying to think. Okay, I mean, sure. We know it all. I woke up and I had blood in my bed.
Starting point is 01:41:07 What? I know. On your pillow or on the bed? Well, like in the bed. Oh, boy. What? Where did it come from? Well, about, how old am I not?
Starting point is 01:41:15 I don't know. About 10 years ago. when I was doing my first triathlon, I was training so hard I got a hemorrhoid. The he came back. It did. And it, like, it bled. Yeah, it busted.
Starting point is 01:41:25 Because that's all it is, the busted vessel. Yeah. And I woke up and I was like, why is there blood in my bed? Did that freak you out? I thought I was stabbed. I was like, what happened in my sleeve? Someone got me! I'm looking at my alarm hadn't been penetrated, you know?
Starting point is 01:41:38 And so I was like, I've been hit. I'm looking for a wound. No. Yeah, so it's all right. It's just, we're getting older. I know. And that's been the Medical Minute, everyone. I'm Dr. Red Duke.
Starting point is 01:41:50 Yeah. Did you guys ever watch Dr. Red Duke? Red Duke was awesome. That's old school. I don't know if your news carried Red Duke, but Channel 7 in Arkansas, K-TV. Dr. Red Duke. He'd do a whole thing. I'm Dr. Red Duke.
Starting point is 01:42:02 That was a jam, man. Mark in Connecticut, what's up, bud? Hey, how you doing? Good. You good? I'm good. What do you want to say? Yeah, I'm a first-time caller.
Starting point is 01:42:17 I've been listening for about a year since I moved here down in Connecticut. I actually just found out the person you like, it does your phone calls. We moved from the same town in Connecticut. See, we're all friends. See, Mark, you think you don't even know? We're all friends. We're all like cousins.
Starting point is 01:42:30 Right? Yeah. And then, yeah, I mean, I don't know, I love hearing about all your guys' lives and everything. It's like, Amy, with her kids playing soccer. I grew up playing soccer, so I like to listen to that a lot,
Starting point is 01:42:42 how they're doing with that. What's your favorite part of the show? Like, can we talk about our personal lives or we're talking about music or games? What's your favorite part? Honestly, I mean, I honestly love it all. I listen to Monday through Friday from like 5 to 5.30 because, I mean, 430, when you start until 530, I get to, I have to be at work for 530.
Starting point is 01:43:01 I love the morning corny when you're talking about music. I mean, I listen to everything, and then on my odd days off, I listen to everything. So, I mean, I just love everything about the show. The ultimate consumer. Yeah. Yeah, well, thanks, man. Appreciate that, Mark. Hope you have a good day.
Starting point is 01:43:12 You know, yesterday I'm at home and I'm getting ready because I have a big weekend. We're doing I Heart Country Festival over the weekend in Austin. So, by the way, you can watch it at Livexlive.com. It's just a site, the whole festival, from Tim McGraw to Florida, Georgia Line, to Chris Jansen, us, Bobby Bones, The Raging Idiots, and I'm also hosting it. And so I'm going through and getting all my clothes ready because I've got to have clothes to host in, clothes to play the show in our raging idiots uniforms, clothes after that to go back and re-host. I'll go to American Idol, fly from Austin to American Idol on Sunday, close to do that show in. So I'm just taking all these clothes on me. And Idle gave me a budget before the season started.
Starting point is 01:43:50 They said, here's your money. You buy clothes with this money. If you go over this budget, we're not giving you anymore. But you have this money to buy clothes. And so my closet is just inflated of all these clothes that I've worn on the show. I can't wear it on the show again. Right. So I hit Eddie up and I was like, hey, man, I have some clothes.
Starting point is 01:44:06 Do you want them? And he's like, yeah. I said, I'm going to send him down. And so I said, what did I send you? Oh, my gosh. Three suits. Like four or five. jackets, two really cool shirts.
Starting point is 01:44:19 Then I get in a message going, hey, I can't wear this Elvis blue suede's huge jacket or whatever. There's one. It looks just like jailhouse rock. I put it on. I try to look in the mirror. I'm like, okay, it's really cool, but I don't think Daddy can pull this one off. You can't pull it off. Yeah, you can.
Starting point is 01:44:32 Could you wear my clothes? Yeah. Okay, they were a little tight. Well, okay, but I'm a little thin. You are a little thinner than I am. But I put the suits on and I was like, you know what? This is a goal for me. I want to be able, I know I can go to a tailor, get them whatever, readjust.
Starting point is 01:44:46 refitted, but I'm like, no, I'm going to use this as a goal. You're going to be the smallest, Bobby? I don't think that should be your goal. Oh, no, it's too small? He does. Well, because some of these suits, Amy, are some of the ones he wore, like, on Idol or some red carpets? I recognize some of these.
Starting point is 01:45:01 Bobby's, like, his perfect size for TV, and, like, you're not, which is a little smaller than he probably needs to be, because he has TV goals. Well, and those suits may be a little bigger than I am now. Literally, I would put the suits on, and I would make my little hand motions the way Bobby does when he does, like, red carpets or interviews, and I'm like, gang, I live just, like, Like Bobby in the suit. Yeah. I use that stuff because, again, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:45:20 That's nice stuff that I'm just like, I'm not going to wear again. And so. Thank you, man. Are you wearing any of it to IHart Country Festival? I am. I'm going to take a couple articles with me. Why don't you take the jacket you think is Elvis? You want me to try that one?
Starting point is 01:45:31 Just wear it around people. They're not. They're going to think you're cool. Lunchbox's going to make fun of me. But if you say it, he is? Is it like the leather one? It's awesome. I wore it.
Starting point is 01:45:40 Dude, it looks so cool. But then I was like, I just don't know if I can do it. We have like a client party on Friday night. Wear it to that. Well, I shouldn't say where to wear it because people will pick on you just if they know. They are going to pick on me. I know it. Last year at the client party, I wore that big hat. And all y'all did was make fun of me and my hat. And it was so cute. No, no, no, no. You didn't wear the hat. The hat wore the hat wore you. That's right. It was this big. It was like a spaceship was like following Amy everywhere she went. There's the hat that everyone saw. And then Amy. There's a little Amy underneath it.
Starting point is 01:46:07 It was so cute. I was like, where are the horses? It was like she was at the Kentucky Derby. Like with the mid-jula. Don't worry. I'm not wearing a hat this year. never again around y'all. But here's also the thing. If you let people know that you're feeling self-conscious about something and they're your friends, they're going to pick on you. Yeah, it's fair game.
Starting point is 01:46:26 You just have to own it because I should have just own the hat because I know the hat is cute. But like my friend is the one that told me to wear the hat. And I'm like, okay, I trust you because you are the stylish one. And she was right. It's an awesome hat, but I wasn't owning it. You have to own. And people go, I don't know if I can pull that off. I'm going to tell you right now, from my lips to your ears, if you feel it,
Starting point is 01:46:46 You can pull it off. That's it. That's it. It makes you feel good. You're pulling it off. That's it. There's no more of me to even say. I shouldn't even be saying more words right now.
Starting point is 01:46:54 I'm done. Remember when Jake Owen came in here with a hat? We all just made fun of it. Jake Owen had a hat? Yeah, he wore a hat. He's like, thanks, dude. Okay, that's our example. That's our friend who came in and we were like, oh, let's pick out of him.
Starting point is 01:47:06 We're like, hey, cowboy. Yeah. I was trying out a hat, dude. Thank you. But again, Jake, we're closer to Jake. Of course. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:14 Yeah. All right, so I'm going to wear this Elvis thing. It's not Elvis. Oh, it's so jailhouse rock, dude. It's awesome. It's cool as what it is. Oh, you just show me the picture of Jake. Yeah, we probably made fun of them for that.
Starting point is 01:47:24 It's a good look, though. It is. That Jake Owen's a good-looking dude. Yeah. He had longer hair than two. Anyway, Amy, you wore anything funny for a higher festival? Funny. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:34 Do you have another hat this year? No, I told you I'm not bringing a hat around y'all until I build up my confidence. But, yeah, my look Saturday night is a little different than anything we've ever done, but I'm owning it. Is it like half butt naked again? No. No. Sometimes you wear like the side of a dress out. And it's like one butt cheek out and one end.
Starting point is 01:47:52 What? There's never butt cheeks. What are you talking about? Ever. One butt cheek out. She shows up in half chaps. You mean an ab? An abdomen?
Starting point is 01:48:00 It's a little different. Crop top stuff is really in. But no. No skin really. But definitely girly and country looking. A big old puffy shoulder. Let's just leave it at that. Like a second head?
Starting point is 01:48:14 I have a big ruffle on my shoulder. All right. Well, listen, we're going to let it roll. Saturday night, IHR Country Festival. There's something called Extreme Enbalming, which after you die, your body can be preserved and displayed in life-like scenarios. And so a lot of people are having this done to them
Starting point is 01:48:36 so their friends and families can see them as they knew them, like they're just hanging, playing video games. That's really creepy. The unconventional practice has risen a lot of places, but New Orleans is doing it. Oh my gosh. That's what you want, right? Well, I wouldn't be opposed to it.
Starting point is 01:48:54 Like, you just, wise man once said, prop me up beside the Jew box when I die. That's right. Right. I don't want to go to heaven, but I don't want to go tonight. But, you know, I'm looking at one picture here. This woman's pose sitting down wearing a feather boa with a glass of champagne in one hand. And maybe you just want people to remember you like that. Because you know what?
Starting point is 01:49:14 The last time you see somebody when they die, In the casket, that's not a good memory. Oh, I didn't, my mom's viewing, I didn't go. Like, I mean, my sister went, but I just couldn't. And so this kind of, well, I don't know. It's weird because we're not used to it. Yeah. There's one guy who's a big Celtics fan.
Starting point is 01:49:32 And so he's sitting at the funeral home, they built this. He's sitting in a chair in front of a TV playing NBA 2K wearing a Kyrie Irving Celtics jersey and has a bag of Doritos and a root beer at the table. I mean, it looks like a wax music. It does. It does. Yeah. And it probably be a lot cheaper to have this done to you than have a wax sculpture made of you doing this.
Starting point is 01:49:55 You can't, you don't last that long. There? No. Extreme embalming is what. It sounds like a sport. It does. Yeah. Not a game I'd buy tickets to.
Starting point is 01:50:05 That's the wrap for today. I think mostly we're headed all to Texas because the IHart Country Festival is happening on Saturday. So, yeah, we're all headed down. Lunchbox is actually there right now. lunchbox how to go at the big event yesterday. Oh man, it was awesome. There was probably about 100 people there, and I was the most popular guy in the room
Starting point is 01:50:21 because I had tickets to the concert. Is that why? I think so. And because I'm kind of famous, and everybody, I signed so many autographs, guys. I mean, if I would have charged for autographs, I could have bought me a new car. You ever thinking about doing that?
Starting point is 01:50:33 I try, but I always say $5 is a joke, but I'm going to start taking this serious because that's a money-making business. Just do like those ballplayers, go set up a table, and seven people sign, well, you know, want your autograph. Yeah, how much you think I could charge? 50 bucks?
Starting point is 01:50:47 Zero. I don't think he meant paying for your autograph. Okay. Amy, what's up? I'll be in Austin. I'm excited to see my dad. That's what I'm going to be doing today. Hang in with him.
