I do want to get an update in on lunchbox and a beef he has with a country artist. So you and Chris Jansen have been feuding. Yeah, we have been feuding. Just remind our audience

why this ridiculous feud, it's very one-sided, is taking place. Because he was having an album release party where you got to hear his new music. There was going to be food and drinks. And it said RSVP. So I RSVP for me plus four, which was my wife and my three kids. And they said, we can't accommodate that. Well, the title of his album is All In.

And so obviously, not everyone is All In. It's only some people get in is what it should be called. Should they have named his album that? Yes, because if you're going to say All In, then that means everybody gets to come in. But I don't think that means. everything that happens in his life, I think, for his music. The invite said, we are going to get all in with Chris Jansen. And so I'm like, well, that means we're all getting in.

So Chris Jansen, maybe you know him from this song right here. But it can buy me a boat. And he has, I'm digging him good vibes. Yeah. So big artist. And so you heard back from him. I did. He's trying to buy me off.

He replied and he said, listen, sorry about that. Had no idea. Family is always welcome. them. Let me know what restaurant you want to go to and you can take the whole family. I'll bring you a gift card. Wow. That's nice. That's what I'm talking about. You're not really going to accept this. You created this feud. Yeah. He really goes to nowhere. You asked for five people at an industry event. Well, there will be no kids. And now you're going to. You didn't say no kids on it. You ever been to an industry event like this? Yeah. There have been kids there.

I've been there and the artist kids are there. Yeah. Artists. No, no, no. So, dude, I am getting dinner on the family. So you're going to let Chris Jansen by you, your wife, and your three kids dinner, and you're going to feel good about that. Yeah, and I was thinking I'd just take the wife. Like, leave the kids with a babysitter and take the one. No, no, all in.

All in. That's right. Not part in. Take them all. Okay, you know what? I'll take them all. But now I just got to look up and find the most expensive restaurant in Nashville. That's also not.

Oh, boy. Do you think lunchmox should take the gift card? No. Well, yes. I don't think so either. What do you mean? Because he created this feud. Jansen feels pressure.

He doesn't... Wow, wow, wow. Skuba, what do you think about this? He, you know, he obviously feels bad about it. Right, it feels gross, right? Which is kind of gross and weird. Because she even emailed me too, and I was like, please don't. I was like, don't do that.

Who is she? His manager? His manager? Flash wife? Yes, yeah, and I was like, he can afford his own freaking lunch. You don't need a buy anything. Wow, so scuba's taking the car back. Wow.

Yeah, it's kind of weird. I wouldn't take. Even if me, I wouldn't take it personally. I would feel weird. Hey, guys, you know what's going to not taste gross? Is the food that we go get with this gift card? It's going to be amazing. Five star.

How are you going to get in touch with him to do this? I'll just reply on Twitter and be like, hey, man, this is the restaurant I want? Bring it to me. Oh, my gosh. We have to be associated with them. Why are you embarrassed? And now he's going to start doing this to every artist. I mean, if you're going to title it all in, yeah, I am.

That means everyone's included. That's the name of the muse. Okay. All right, we're going to play a song here. You guys want me to bring you a dessert from the restaurant? I think no. Depends where you go. Let's open up the mailbag.

You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. I'm flying to a work event next week. The company's paying from a flight and hotel. The event is from 1 to 4 p.m. My coworker just called and invited me to a dinner that she is organizing with several of our bosses.

She said, if I didn't have anything to do, to come. She just wanted to make sure I had something to do that night before I fly out the next day. Since several important people will be there that I rarely get to see in person, I feel like I should go. But I will be at the work event with all these same people that I was with that whole day. What should I do? My best friend just moved there. I was planning to have dinner with her. I may see her only once a year. Do I go to dinner with work people or see my friends? I will not be there long enough to do both. I'd appreciate your advice. Thanks.

Working hard anonymously. Interesting question. I think me one year ago, but I said go to the work event and meet up with your friend later. But that later situation is probably going to be too late for the friend if she has a real job. That's wake up in the morning. Yeah. They probably will not even remember that you weren't there at the work event two weeks from that day.

I don't think there are going to be any bonuses given. I don't think there's going to be any inside information. If it were me today, I would meet the friend. Those relationships are super important. You need to invest in those because that job may not always be there. Those bosses may not always be there if you have that same job. But that friend will be. My advice to you is to go and see the friend.

I don't know what person's inside of my body at this point, but that's what I say today. Bobby's like, I don't know who I am right now because I really should be telling you to go to the work event. But I do think the, where we work, it's so fleeting. Who knows? Tomorrow, we could all not work here tomorrow. Oh. What? That wouldn't be good.

Well, it wouldn't be, right? Yeah. I think, especially since they say you don't have to come, don't go. Yeah, she's just, it's like a casual thing. Like, hey, it's just making sure you have something to do. And guess what? You do have something. You have a friend there that you only see once a year, so nurture that relationship.

And if there's a way you can swing it and do both, great. but this was pick one we picked a friend because that will be there forever right and there will be other opportunities where you can hopefully you know get invited to something at works and this isn't even an opportunity for like a job right it's so go to the friend

And I loved them both separately. And I didn't realize.

I was like, wow, they're together. But then once they were together, you're like, dang, it's cool. So, Jillian, Jacqueline, and, I mean, two people I love here, TJ, good to see you. It's good to see you, too, Bobby. So here we are. How in the world did you two get together for this song? I'm more curious, like, who's Iron Man, who's Spider-Man? Yeah, that's actually a really good question.

Yeah, Jillian, you're Iron Man. You're running the show here. I'm feeling the leotards. Well, I wrote this song about a year and a half. ago. And right when I was writing it, I was writing it over Zoom, and right as I was writing it, I heard TJ's voice singing with me on the chorus. He's one of my favorite voices of all time. So I just kind of thought about it for a while. I was really nervous, but I eventually sent you the song and I texted you. I was like, hey, and I think I had the wrong number because

I didn't hear back from you for like weeks. I was like, oh, it's the song. That's when I text him to him too. He doesn't respond to either for weeks. Okay. Well, eventually, somehow I got a hold view and you listened to it enough and then he, you know, shot me a text back and you were like, yeah, I want to do it. But I love that you were so intentional with it. You really took your time listening to it and figuring out if it like felt right for you. And then when you came into the studio to record it and started singing, I was like, there's just these moments in life where it's just like serendipitous and you're like, this was meant to be. Your voice on this song just makes it what it is. So, yeah. Thank you. And obviously I've always been a huge fan of

of Jillians and I've always admired her for so long and her voice it's one of those things you hear it recorded and you're like it's it's so amazing but these days you know obviously you can really you can make a lot of people sound really good and you hear her live and it sounds exactly like it does on the recording it's one of the most beautiful most like fragile voices I've ever heard it's truly like one of my faves and so I thought it would be amazing to collaborate with her and then she sent the song and I really really love the song and as Gillian said I mean sometimes you get asked to collaborate with some people and it works out or it doesn't

but I just I did I really kind of I did hear myself on it with her and I think it was good I'm glad that the text got through Jillian I'm glad yeah sounds like you're intentional with that text message response too I'm saying pretty intentional there

Thank you, Bobby. It's a dream, honestly, having this guy on the song. I mean, this is your mom with the shot, girl. It ain't about me. No, hell. This song would not be what it is without him. But, yeah, I think it's interesting, too, because duets are tough. I mean, you know, especially when it's a song, I wanted it to feel like we could both sing it and really own it.

and tell our own story. And I think it's just the way we wrote it just feels like one of those classic country songs that I grew up loving. So I'm really, really proud of how it turned out. I am as well. Yeah, thank you. I'm a big fan.

I think our audience should know you had a baby with your guitar player. This guy. Yeah. We had a baby. There's also her husband, by the way. I just thought I'd set that up like that. Her husband plays guitar for her.

Yes. I know, and we still like walk around places and we're like, whose baby is this? Is this ours? Like, it's still so weird. but yes, we have a baby. What's that? I mean, I really have a pandemic and baby and marriage.

We haven't spent a lot of time together us three. So like what's life been like with the baby? I'm tired. I'm tired. We're both tired. I mean, he's only five months old. So, you know, it makes everything a little bit more challenging, but also so much more joyful. And he's just the cutest.

I think he's the cutest baby in the world. His name's Rockwell. And, you know, it's amazing to get. to be able to do this kind of stuff and also pursue being a mom. I mean, as an artist, you kind of try to figure out the right time to do these things,

and it never is the right time. And so I'm glad we just jumped in, and now we get to bring him on the road. We'll pack him up in the van, and he'll just hang out. I'm just kidding, not in a van. But, yeah, it'll be fun. What's the reason for Rockwell?

How did that name come about? I love Norman Rockwell, the artist, and we also loved the nickname Rocky. I'm from Pennsylvania. I'm from Philly. So we kind of liked the ode to Rocky. And I don't know. Yeah, there's a few reasons.

She keeps looking at her husband, Brian, who doesn't have a mic, who's playing guitar. And he's like, what are you to do? I can't say anything. I know, sorry. Is that, do you agree? Yes? Rockwell? Yeah.

She just looks for a head nod. Yes. T.J. What, by the way, let me say, I love you. But your hair's blonde. Yeah. What's up? I was telling everyone I walked to the studio earlier that, yeah, I, uh, I, uh,

I dyed my hair blonde. I was like, I'm going to change it up. But my mom really, really, really hates it. And she tells me every time I go to her house, I'm like, I remember from the last time I was here that you didn't like it. I didn't suddenly think something changed. But yeah, just change it up a little. I love it. Thank you.

Yeah. You had just done it before the video when we shot the video. Yeah. In fact, right before the video, I had it died and it turned into a really, really, really crazy color. Like, I was supposed to be there like an hour and a half. And I was like, I cannot be on camera. Like this was really bad. And then the poor girl, she was like sweaty.

And she went back. She applied something else on my head. And then it got worse. And then she like, I was like, oh my God. I have to be there like now. And she's like, one more thing. And then like put this stuff back in my hair. And it just kind of, you know, there's a picture of it here.

Oh, yeah. And it turned out pretty good. I more so felt terrible for her because I felt like the girl that was doing my hair. I thought, I mean, she was like, I'm just going to end it now. She could not take it anymore. I mean, I felt actually really horrible. for her. But it turned out really good. The music video was really fun as well.

They was shot in this, actually, this family's home in Goodlettsville. And I showed up there. Did they know? Like, you didn't just... Well, honestly, I walked through the front door. They were just chilling there. I guess so they were there. Yeah, they probably had a heart attack when you walked in the door. It was really funny.

I don't think they knew who I was, but they were like, this is the best day of our lives. We're so glad they knocked on our door. They were very sweet. They were very sweet. Yeah. Wait, how do you find, you just knock on a random family's door? Our directors are very scrappy.

Yeah. They just went, they found houses they liked the look of and they started asking people like, hey, will you let us shoot at your house? And these people lottery, they said yes. And they were like, TJ Osborne's coming over. Here we go. Oh, TJ, do you remember TJ and I used to be neighbors? Remember, our street got shut down and they filmed like a movie or a TV show or something on our

street and we got paid. Remember to use our yards. He just like, what? You got paid? Oh, my God. Yeah, didn't we like a hundred bucks for a thing? Maybe you did, but they did not throw it like. I can't remember the full story, but I know there was some production happening.

You had the nicest house on the streets, so they're like, we've got to take care of this. The other lives there. Okay, so I'm going to encourage you guys. As far as an artist, Gillian, you know you are like one of my favorite. anything you do, I'm just, I wrap my arms in it and try to support it and love it. So, like, this is, I'm glad I love it because I would support it anyway, but I'd be like, no, I don't want that one, but I love this one.

I see you every day. I'm positive, but we wrote Jillian and her car. Do you want to tell everyone how I was the last person to RSVP? Actually, I didn't remember to RSVP to your wedding. You had to call me like two days before your wedding. You're like, hey, just, you're the only person that hasn't told us. I'm like, oh my God, I'm so sorry. I'm totally coming to your wedding.

Literally the only person who did not RSVP were Jillian and Brian. Really busy. And that's an embarrassing call to have to make because you're almost calling with a possibility of getting rejected. It felt like, you know, like I'm 16. do you want to go with me to have dinner? I'm starting to see why Jillian didn't get that card back though.

Yes, right? Oh, you're on RCP? So what did you get me? Do you want to say? Sure, yeah. I got you a really cool cutting board with your names and your wedding date on it. You don't seem impressed. It's really cute. I'm listening. I'm listening!

I'm listening! I'm like, oh my God, that's amazing. I will go today and I will check and see. Some of the stuff that we have is still in a room because we have written thank you cards. I haven't invested emotionally in it all yet. And I need to be there and invest. I'm sure you have quite a few gifts that you still have to open. But your wedding, by the way,

I just have to say your wedding was one of the most beautiful heartfelt weddings I've ever been to besides my own. The most. Besides my own. Your speech, I'm sure you've talked about this enough, but your speech was just, I was sobbing because it was so real and so I love when people write their own vows

and your vows were just top-notch. It was so good. We watched it back and I was embarrassed. Really? That means you did something right. I'm embarrassed for what? I cried. I was clunky. I'm supposed to be able to communicate.

That's why it was awesome. And I was all over the place. And I, it was, yes. Thank you, Jim. That was why it was awesome.

I mean, honestly, if you didn't, though, I mean, I think if you went up there and you just nailed it, I think everyone would be like,

what a psychopath. You know, like, truly. I mean. T.J. and Brothers Osborne's here. A couple of questions.

So, by the way, Congrats on the Grammys. Thank you. Awesome. When you went to the ACMs, you didn't do it on purpose, but I kind of got in trouble because of you guys, and you know I will defend,

you know, I will defend your honor to the death, and you guys go, all right, radio sucks. I hate radio. Whatever he said. Whatever. That is not what I said. Whatever. But you came on and I said, I agree with them.

And I laid out exactly, you're like, our single guy dropped. from country. Can you say what you reached it? That's what I said. Thank you. Thank you. So here's the thing. I like this. This is a great platform for clarity here. Go ahead. So we won the award again unexpectedly and we got up and I thought, wow, you know, it was like just last week I had really bad news that our single got pulled and which was a true statement. I did not even give my opinion of that. It was a fact. And then the very next thing I said was a nice this week to then win an award. And so some people took. look at as me saying that maybe throwing shade, but I was like, I actually wasn't. If anything, I was actually trying to be a little bit more like self-deprecating. Like last week I sucked and this week I just wanted it.

Like crazy how life works out that way. In my mind, that's how I wanted it to sound. I think some people sound in that way, you know, speaking of giving speeches, you have in your mind what you're going to say, it was Mike Tyson say everyone's got a plan to get punched in the face. And so it feels a little bit that way. So I did not say anything of that variety. However, some people, I think, just filled in the blanks there for whatever reason.

It took it that way. And, you know, and the thing that was really kind of, that I was really upset about that whole thing was, is that contrary to maybe sometimes what our songs do is sometimes at radio. We actually have a very good relationship, but with most of not all people at radio. So, in fact, I think a lot of reasons won't even win those awards are from the votes from country radio. So there wasn't really Anamoosity there. It was just kind of as As facts.

As someone said, it doesn't feel good when someone tells you your baby's ugly which is like our songs are our babies You know? So it was like, it was facts, thank you. Well, this is what happened. You say that.

And I'm like, you know what? And people start saying, hey, why are you dropping their song? I said, I don't think radio gives them a fair chance. I said, I don't think other artists in their category have such a quick release as Brothers Osmore does.

And I don't know why, but you guys will get to a certain place and a certain amount of time but because it's not quicker already, it just gives up on you. And so I start presenting data on the air. I had program directors coming to me from all over the place.

Just punching me in the face online. And so here I am fighting for the honor, the pride. Well, thank you. And I was up. I was really just trying to give them all and represent you being the best for them.

Well, no, I appreciate it. I mean, it doesn't come about, without, you know, it doesn't lack any frustration there. But, I mean, it's business that takes a really, really, really long time. I think now that my brother and I have gotten to a place to where we feel very happy with where we are, and we have had some success, it doesn't sting as mad.

But when you're a new artist and that stuff happens, it's crippling. I stand by that you guys get screwed over more than anybody else. I mean, I stand by. You say nothing. You say nothing. I stand by it. We need to stop screwing you. Over.

Amen. But see, you have said that's not what you meant by that. It wasn't. No, it wasn't. that the yeah I'm not going to say nothing I'm just let's let you just yes these are Bobby's and I'm telling you and I said it that day I said they get screwed over more than anybody I know at the level they are and I'll leave it there you say nothing that's it and you've got the Grammy so much remember this you know yeah no we were nominated twice but we

never mind I take it back you know what I said if you're nominated if you're nominated if you're nominated against Chris Stapleton it's it's a poor chance you're going to win it It was the funny thing is that we did see him backstage and I was like, oh my gosh, the first time I was seeing Chris in forever. I'm like, you have to win a Grammy just to see Chris Stapleton these days backstage. New single, A-Han soon? Yeah, we're in the throes of that right now. If we haven't got completely dry from radio, everyone's like, God, I'm sick of these guys.

But yeah, we have some stuff that we're working on. Okay. I just have my vote for high note. Can I just say high note? If you guys haven't listened to High Note on Brothers Osborne's last album, it is one of the best written songs. And your vocal performance is so good Every time I can't help It's just so good

A new study just came out saying that half of us engage in at least one form of road rage, But one group of people in particular is more likely to do it, and it's people with kids. Uh-oh. Well, that would be the people that you'd want to do it the least because they're endangering their kids. Right. Exactly. But my thought on this is that you're more passionate because you have precious cargo, so you get angry at people that are threatening their safety, so you have road rage.
