Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins, but the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice in so much. I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Greg Gillespie and Michael Ranini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. this is Love Trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast
Starting point is 00:00:38 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed, I will be his last target. He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves.
Starting point is 00:00:59 We always say, you know, trust your girlfriends. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Vodom. My next guest, it's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever.
Starting point is 00:01:25 He goes, just give it a shot. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that.
Starting point is 00:01:45 There's a lot of luck. Listen to thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up? Welcome to Tuesday's show. Morning studio. Morning. Man, glad you guys are here. Let's go around the room and check in.
Starting point is 00:02:11 He got his degree at Sam, Houston State. And he helped lunchbox unveil what was in the Amazon crate. Here he is. Producer Eddie, let's go. Guys, my wife came to me and said, I want something, and I had to put my foot down and say, no, we're not doing this. She was watching the news, and apparently some lady that lived in a house, she got sick, the ambulance came, took her to the hospital. They found over 100 chihuahuas in her house. So the Humane Association had to, like, take those animals out, and there are 100 chihuahuas out to need adoption.
Starting point is 00:02:42 And my wife's like, please, please get us to Chihuahua. And I'm like, no, we're not getting to Chihuahua. There's no chance. We already have a dog. And that dog doesn't get along with any other dog. And my wife's like, it's okay, we can separate them. One can stay on the bottom floor or the other one can be on the second floor. Like, we need this Chihuahuas.
Starting point is 00:02:59 And I'm like, no, because my wife, when we were dating, she had a Chihuahua. And we got married, we had another Chihuahua. And they both died. And so we're not doing that. I had to put my foot down. Did you like the dog? Yeah, they're fine. But we already have a dog.
Starting point is 00:03:12 And I told my wife, after this dog is done, we're not getting any more pets. We're not getting any more pets. We're done. Wow, you hate dogs. No, I don't. If she really wants one. But he's got four kids and a dog. Four kids, a dog, and you know who feeds the dog every day?
Starting point is 00:03:25 I do. You know who walks the dog every day? I do. Really? Even with the four kids? Even with the four kids. I have to remind them. If I'm out of town, don't forget to feed the dog.
Starting point is 00:03:34 They will. Yes. Well, good luck on holding steady with that. I already put my foot down. He loves to ride his bike to work in the fall. With winter coming, we're just waiting for the, I need a ride phone call. Here's the lunchbox. Well, we all got got by fake news.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Bobby, Amy, Eddie, Morgan, Mike D, me, everybody got got by fake news. Came on here and talked about that hottie who tattooed Kevin on her forehead. It was all fake. It was a message that she was trying to get out to young people saying, hey, you're going to regret your tattoos. Here's the audio. I regret my tattoo. The video of me getting my boyfriend's name tattoo on my forehead went viral.
Starting point is 00:04:17 All of the big social media platforms, newspapers, radio stations were talking about it. This actually not a real tattoo. And the reason why I treat the whole internet is that I have a message to young people and all of the people who wants to get covered in tattoos. I want everyone to know that I regret my tattoo. and you might regret yours when you get older. So it wasn't so much fake news. It was an experiment.
Starting point is 00:04:49 It was like a PSA. Like, hey. Public service. Yeah. And we were all like, oh my gosh, she's undaatable. No, none of us said she's undatable. You might have said that, but no, we said the only person she could date is a Kevin. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:00 To other Kevin's, but she's not endatable to everybody. Yeah. She's pretty good looking. Yeah. That was also why I was stunned that she got a tattoo on her face. It wasn't real. No, she's pretty. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:09 I know. All right, moving on. you may have convinced Eddie to get hair transplants in Turkey, and her morning corny can be quite quirky. Here's Amy. So I saw Patrick Mahomes was talking to Peyton and Eli Manning about how he has worn the same underwear every NFL game since his rookie year. He washes them.
Starting point is 00:05:28 But I was like, wow. Is that cool to you? Weird to you? I mean, he's just got to keep the superstition. So I guess it seems to be working for him. He's had a pretty good career. So if I wore the same underwear every day, you think that's cool? He washes them.
Starting point is 00:05:42 He's also won championships. Right. I have two. Yeah, but I don't know that you would wash them. Yeah, co-ed soccer. Oh, easy trivia. Yep. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:51 I mean, things like that. True. True, true, true, true. Maybe you don't change your underwear until you lose easy trivia. That might be a thing. Do you all do anything, like, in general for luck or something you carry with you or wear? I have some shoes that I wear to Arkansas basketball games that they were undefeated forever. They've had a couple losses.
Starting point is 00:06:09 but as long as they don't lose two in a row, they still are my lucky shoes. If I ever wear them in two games in a row and they lose twice, they're done. They have to be retired. But I do have shoes, but I don't wear them every game. But I have that. But I don't believe in superstition,
Starting point is 00:06:21 but I still follow a lot of them just in case I'm wrong. Right. Yeah. You guys have anything? I'll wear the same shirt when Kansas is on a winning streak, and then when they lose, I change shirts, put that one in the washer. I sit in the same spot.
Starting point is 00:06:33 It's all sports for us. Like if I'm on the couch and I'm sitting in a certain spot and they win a game, that spot is the next. game and they lose, I move. You have anything? I don't. Nope. Really? Like when you go to yoga, you don't have the same parking spot or something?
Starting point is 00:06:46 Like, so you have a good back bend or? Random. Thank you. Thank you. Right. Go ahead. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas. His hair is getting long, and word is, he's good at ping pong. Bobby Bones. We watched the show. I don't know if you guys have seen it because it's been out for like a year and a half, but it's called Shining Girls. Have you ever watched on Apple Plus?
Starting point is 00:07:05 No. You know the girl, Elizabeth Moss. She is in the show where they all wear red and handmade's tail. Oh, yeah. And so she also was in Mad Men back in the day. So it's called Shining Girls, and it starts off and it's very dark. And I'll reach it the plot here. This newspaper archivist, Kirby, dreams of becoming a journalist.
Starting point is 00:07:28 She survives a brutal attack, and it leaves her reality constantly shifting. We watched, I think there are eight episodes, and it's off a book, so it's done. There's no season two. but we watched it the first episode was like I don't know if I can handle this it may be too dark for me by the end of it
Starting point is 00:07:46 we could not stop watching it really it gets 86% of rotten tomatoes I'm just gonna recommend it it's good it's really good on Apple Plus you said yeah I think that's where it is
Starting point is 00:07:57 yeah it was you said hands made tail just side note whatever happened to that show I had like eight seasons and I think the world's got good again and they quit I mean like you should did anybody watch the end
Starting point is 00:08:07 I think COVID got them. I don't know. That's what got them. COVID. I never watched that one. It's called, yes, shining girls. It's based off a book. It's good.
Starting point is 00:08:18 It's really good. All right, there you. You know what the show we like? We like watching poker face. Which one's that one? On Peacock. What's that? Yeah, Natasha Leon.
Starting point is 00:08:29 It's kind of old school feeling. Oh. But she can, like, tell us somebody's lying. Oh, also. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, that sounds familiar. 81%. Handmaids Tell, Season 6 is supposed to come out.
Starting point is 00:08:39 It's still happening? 2024, but that'll be the final season. What if the world is actually over by then? The irony, huh? All right, boom. Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's mailbag.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Yeah. Hello, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, Bobbi. I got a private message on Facebook from a woman that I do not know. The message said, hey, do you know that your husband has a 39-year-old illegitimate son? and he has been hoping all these years you would never find out. So my husband and I were high school
Starting point is 00:09:14 sweethearts. We've been married for 38 years with two grown daughters. I thought it was a scam and ignored it. But I decided after a while to message her back. She is engaged to my husband's illegitimate son. That's how she knows. She informed me that he doesn't know who his father is. All they had to go on is a name
Starting point is 00:09:34 and where he was from and it happens to be where my husband was from. and his name. The age of this supposed son does line up with the summer that we broke up. So I can't... Oh, God. It's not good. So I can't stop thinking about it.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Yeah, the scammer wouldn't know when you guys broke up. No. I also checked out his Facebook page and his resemblance to my husband is pretty right on. Damn. We both recently turned 60
Starting point is 00:10:01 and this is a true shock. Should I tell my husband about this or just forget about it? What? Signed wondering one. What she's asking? That's why people email us. They should still judge.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Okay, okay, sorry, I'm sorry. Yes, you talk to him about it. Yes. Maybe he doesn't know though. I would think he doesn't know. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but that's why you get to talk to him about it. Or maybe he does. Hey, babe.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Oh, man, that's a tough conversation. So I do. They've been together a long time. They're 60 years old. But you act like 60. They're about to die. No, no. 60 is a new 30, man.
Starting point is 00:10:36 I'm saying, what? No, I'm saying, With age comes maturity. Yeah, but that's a big shocking. Life experience. I don't. If he didn't do anything wrong, it's just going to be some growing and understanding you guys have to do with that person and of the situation.
Starting point is 00:10:54 How exciting. You have a son you don't know about. If he did something wrong. Exciting? Yeah. At least you don't have to raise another baby. That's true. He's already old.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Because they had two girls, I think, you say? Yeah, but no, it's not even. It's just not a baby. though. I know, but maybe they always wanted a boy. Yeah, you have to have the conversation. It doesn't, the only reason it doesn't feel like a scam to me is because that timeline kind of matches up.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Yeah, because initially, yeah, that sounds just like a scam, right? And here's what you do to make him feel safe. You go to him and go, hey, when we broke up, did you hook up with anybody else? Oh my gosh. No. And then see how he reacts. And then see what he says. No, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Do you print out that kids, the son's Facebook page and be like, do you look like this guy? No, no, no, just put it on the reference. refrigerator. Don't say anything. And he's like, who's that? And then you say, your son. That's you. That's you.
Starting point is 00:11:46 That's your genetics. Oh, my goodness. All seriousness, I think you just go, hey, I got this really weird message. Do you think there's any validity to this? You don't slide it in. You don't have to be super soft or sensitive, but you also don't go out of aggressively. Just like, this is really weird.
Starting point is 00:12:02 And then you can't. I shouldn't say can't because you might try not to be judgmental. of something that happened that many years ago because obviously over the last 30 however long he hasn't been married he has proven to you that he does love you and is trustworthy and all of these things yes and he may not know that he has an illegit he probably doesn't right so probably doesn't that's tough i'm rooting that mori opens the envelope but it's not your kid but i got a feeling looks looks just like him man yeah i got a feeling it is yeah although you know what the ultimate prank would be do that to somebody but take an old picture of them and run it through like an ai like
Starting point is 00:12:36 like a young version or like one of those filters? No, no. The ultimate prank on who? Oh, that's terrible, dude. And then be like, I think this is your kid. And you're like, wow, it does look just like me, but it's really a filter of them, literally. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:12:48 Dude, you give me a heart attack. That's the best prank. What? No, that's terrible. I don't think we can be friends after that one. That's pretty good, though. Golly, you would be. No.
Starting point is 00:12:56 All right, thank you guys. Good luck. Good luck with that. Hey, fill us in. Like, update us to if you would like to do that. We'd like to hear about what happens later. All right, that's the mailbag. close it up.
Starting point is 00:13:06 We got your email and we've read it on the air. Now it's bound to close Bobby's Mailpack. These are the best classic country songs of all time. Lunchbox knows nothing about music, not just country music, but any music. And people will go like, why do you have a guy on the doesn't know country? No, he doesn't know about any format. So it's all the same, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:28 He doesn't even like music, really. Doesn't like it. It's fine. Yeah, if it's there, I'll listen to it. I'm not seeking it. So I have 10. All I need for lunchbox to do is get the artist. Come on, dude.
Starting point is 00:13:40 You can do this. I can do this. And these are the best of all time. These are the best classic country songs of all time. You just have to get the artist. I can tell you the title of the song and everything. Okay. How many do you think you can get?
Starting point is 00:13:52 Probably eight. Okay. Eight out of ten? No way. You know the under, Eddie? I'll go under. Yes. I'll put 50 bucks on it because.
Starting point is 00:14:02 That's a lot. Yeah. Because that's how much I'm. I want like that bet. 50 bucks. I'll bet against you, Eddie, because not sure if I doesn't know what they are. I'll bet 50 bucks that he can get over eight. I'm not betting eight.
Starting point is 00:14:15 There's no way. I bet he can get five. Five, so 50%. You don't have to take it? I don't think I can do five because I think he'll get, I bet he'll get six. Okay, then I can take an under then. Okay, I bet he gets at least six. Okay, if he gets five or less, I win.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Boom. 50 bucks. Okay. Here we go. Come on, lunch. The first song is called, You're Cheating Heart, name the artist. Oh, you mean real classic.
Starting point is 00:14:53 You cry and cry to sleep. That's our boy. Homeway, Twitty. Incorrect. That is Hank Williams. Senior. Hank Williams. No, I know, but he only knows Junior because he was here.
Starting point is 00:15:12 But it's Hank Williams. There's no way he knows Senior. Hank Williams. you used to sing the football song. That's junior. See, I told he votes. All right, here is Mama Tried. I've heard that one before.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Go ahead. Boe feces. Do you mean Bocephus? And that's Hank Williams, Jr. No, that's incorrect. That would be Merle Haggard. When you went, I thought you had it.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Okay, lunchbox. I thought I knew that one. Crazy. Crazy. Yeah, I got. I'm crazy for the end. Bo feces? No, no.
Starting point is 00:15:53 I don't know. That's a girl. Are you ready? Patsy Klein. Correct. Yeah, I see. I knew that one. Eddie has one right.
Starting point is 00:16:02 He has to get six for you to win. That's all right. I've only missed two. All right, here's take me home. Country Rose. That's my boy. You keep saying everybody's your boy. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:16:19 John Denver. Correct. Hey, that one of boys. That's two. Good job. See, they referenced that or else. I wouldn't have known that. Here is Tennessee Whiskey.
Starting point is 00:16:28 You're as good. Tennessee Whiskey. You know, it's supposed to be. We talked about this, dude. You know, Stapleton's is a cover. Yeah, I know that now. You're as long as a glass. Those things like, cheers.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Best classic country songs of all time. Tennessee Whiskey, who's the artist? Tennessee Whiskey's got to be. Dors Jones. Correct. Let's get it. What? Let's go.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Hey, great guess, dude. Great guess. Who's between George and Conway? Conway again. All right. Next up, here's Folsom Prison. Oh, curve all at you. Come on.
Starting point is 00:17:21 When I was just a baby. It has to be, it has to be that Folsom County, the guy, Johnny Cash. Is that your answer? Yeah. Correct. That's not your dude? No, I ain't my dude. That's four.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Oh, man. Eddie, you got money. Let's go, baby. Okay, here's number seven. Wichita lineman. Lunchbox? Hey, we gotta go back to the well. Conway Twitty.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Incorrect. No one heard that song for her. Yeah, that's Glenn Campbell. Don't know who that is. By the time I get to Phoenix. Ready? Never heard that. You ready?
Starting point is 00:18:04 Yeah. Hank Williams, Jr. Incorrect. What? Whalen. Oh, stop. And I got cocky. If he would have gotten Willie with that counted?
Starting point is 00:18:16 You need it both. Lunchbox, you need, there are two left. You need both of these. I got five right, right, right? No, you have four right. All right. Keep saying. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:18:33 This is more my generation. Go ahead. Dolly Parton. Correct. That's my girl. What generation is that? When I was in the 90s. No, it wasn't in the 90s?
Starting point is 00:18:43 No, it wasn't. by 70s. No way. What was it? 73. It sounds more current. And your final sign. How does her sound so current?
Starting point is 00:18:55 Those other ones sound like they are from the freaking 20s. Probably because she's still alive and put out a bunch of music even after. All right. Makes sense. Okay. Lunchbox, if you can name this artist, you are the winner. Come on, lunch. Nobody do anything.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Don't make a sound. I'm not. Go ahead. Not a sound. You guys have money coming your way, dude. You got your money, dude. This is my boy. Are you ready?
Starting point is 00:19:22 I'm ready, dude. America, are you ready? I'm so happy that you're mine. Will it Nelson! Pay me, my friend. Pay me. What an incredible... The note says LB.
Starting point is 00:19:53 It's 50 bucks. The note says LB. I'll know what that means. How did I do that? How did you do that? Guys, see, that's what's crazy. Is there's music knowledge in the... there that just pops sometimes. Was Bophisus ever in there? And did it pop? And if so, how hard?
Starting point is 00:20:07 I pot, but I was right on Bofiases, right? No, you weren't. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. So say you're in middle school and you're having a terrible day. You just need something to pick you up. Well, the Bonderant Middle School in Kentucky has the kind line. It's a phone number that you call when you're feeling down. And some kids have recorded some positive messages on there. There's like recorded messages. You call them up and you're like, oh, wow, that makes you feel better. And it's cool. They're doing, kids are being creative with the messages. They're doing all that. And it's inspired other things in the school as well. Like just kids just doing nice
Starting point is 00:20:44 things around school. I like the idea. I'd hate for somebody to hack that. Why does your mind go there? They won't. But I like the idea. So I hope they can stay on it. We were driving by, we were, we had left TCU. This is two weeks ago. We were doing our show. I think the episode's up now of too much access. So we go to the facility. We're playing basketball with one of their star players. We're in the football stadium and with coaches. We're driving out and we drive right by a middle school. And someone makes the joke, hey, we should go out and play ball with them on the court and dominate them because we just got dominated by the college athletes. But then Eddie goes, like, oh man, there's a kid over there sitting by themselves. Yeah. She was all by herself right by
Starting point is 00:21:20 the fence. And none of the kids were playing with her. So what did y'all do? Eddie pulled up, said, do you want to come with us? No, I'm kidding. No, I would never do that. I mean, we just kept But it just made us think about how we should just, kids, if you're with your parents right now, even adults, you can do this too. There have been times where you have been the one that has been feeling isolated or even ostracized from a group. And just remember how that feels and try to make somebody else not feel that way if you see they're doing that. Because I don't know that all these kids were purposefully ignoring this girl. And we only saw like a snapshot.
Starting point is 00:21:52 We drove by in eight to ten seconds. But we were talking about it. Like we should really encourage people. if you see someone alone by themselves looking sad, even if you're wrong, if you go up and they're like, no, I'm good. I just wanted to sit here and read my book. Still make that effort. And I haven't been able to stop thinking about maybe not just that kid, but how at times that would happen to me at times too, and it sucked. And you wish somebody would come over and like tap your shoulder, be, hey, is everything all right?
Starting point is 00:22:18 So that's good. And Eddie did not stop and say good. We didn't even slow the car down. And they don't have the number to this line. I wish I can give it to lunchbox. Maybe I'll look it up. He could call the kindness. Yeah, just in a while. Put him in a better place. Yeah. I can call it. All right.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Thanks, Eddie. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:22:57 I'm Anna Sinfield. And in this new season of The Girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands.
Starting point is 00:23:16 I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the Girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcast. I'm Ego Wadam.

Starting point is 00:23:58 I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come look for up-and-coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.

On the Bobby Bone Show now. Dylan Scott.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Dylan, good to see you, buddy. Good to see you too. Just come out of the Deer Woods? Well, I'm going. Are you? I'm going. Listen, he's in his camera. What's the B logo?
Starting point is 00:25:59 What is that? That's banded. Got it. You know, I was going to go this morning before the show and just come in here full camo. Yeah. Has anybody ever came in full camo before? Probably Luke.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Yeah. Maybe, uh, Luke showed up full camo with a truck full of corn. Truck full of corn. Yeah. I feel like Gary LaVos. I feel like Gary LaVox. No, not corn, not that kind of corn.
Starting point is 00:26:18 Oh. Yeah, no, no. That definitely wasn't what he was doing. He had a truck full of like corn on the cob. Oh, okay. Then he's like, you guys want to shuck it and have some? That's funny, though, if he'd have showed up with a truck full of corn, you know what I mean? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:30 How's everything been with you? Man, couldn't be better. I saw that you guys. guys how you because I just met Jason Crabb at the Grand Ole Opry yeah we were playing the same night and I went up and I was like hey man you're so good and he's such a positive guy and I saw you won a dove award with him we won a dove award a couple weeks ago on a song it was a song of his called good morning mercy and I did a cover of it on my bus and he saw it and it's like dude you got to hop on this oh that's how that happened yeah now backstory I grew up in the whole you know Christian music world
Starting point is 00:26:58 so I've listened to Jason since I was a kid and so met him at a hair salon randomly and I was like I thought you would go to a barber. Well, it's a barber slash Harris Salon. His wife works in the salon part. Got it. I was at the barber, yeah. Because I would think people would think I would go to a salon. Correct.
Starting point is 00:27:14 But Dylan would go to a barber. Where they serve whiskey. They don't serve whiskey at this barbershop. They don't. That'd be nice. Congratulations on the Dove Award, but also, Can't Have Mine is crushing it. Man. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:27:28 What's the secret sauce? What? One song does well and one song does okay. I don't know, man I've just been sticking to what's working You know My last, well, my last number one was actually a breakup song But before that I was a love song
Starting point is 00:27:43 Before that was a love song Here's another love song about my wife So I don't know, dude I'm gonna blame her for y'all the success Would you mind, and you don't have to do the whole thing Because we're gonna play the whole song in a second But would you give me like a verse and a chorus He's got his guitar in here of Can't Have Mine
Starting point is 00:27:57 Find You a girl? Yeah, let's do it. All right here is Dylan Scott Nice job dude Did you sing in church ever? Oh yeah, we sang in church growing up. Was it?
Starting point is 00:28:07 Because my grandma was like, she made me sing in church. Mm-hmm. Because I don't know if I would have or not. I was young. She was like, we just sing. That's what we do. We sing in church. Right.
Starting point is 00:28:15 And then once I, because she was, I went to a Pentecostal church, and I went to a Baptist church for most of my life once I, you know, got 12, 13 years old. And I didn't sing that much in church because I really didn't have a good voice. So you're singing in church. Was it mostly, this is what we do, Dylan? And did you have a good voice then? And when did that develop?
Starting point is 00:28:33 I would say I had a decent voice then. I mean, look, my dad was in the business back in the day, so he would tell me, he would critique me really hard and tell me, hey, if I'm doing something right or wrong. So I was a shy kid growing up, so it used to honestly scare me to death to get on stage at church, you know, which is crazy thing back now,
Starting point is 00:28:51 because now here we are playing for thousands of people or not, you know, and it's like no big deal. But, yeah, I don't know, man. I mean, look, I wouldn't say I have a great voice now, you know, there's people that sing around me any day of the week, week, but... Do you have a deep voice when you were a kid? For a kid, it was deep.
Starting point is 00:29:07 For a kid. When you came out of the womb crying, br-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-feed me. Yeah. Do you, when you and Jason Crave did this song together, did you guys ever perform it live? We performed it at the Dove Awards. That's the only time?
Starting point is 00:29:23 Yeah, that's the only time we ever performed it live. Yeah, crazy. And that's a whole, that's a different kind of audience. That's a different audience for you. Yeah, but it was super different for me. But, I mean, like, hey, you had, you had Brandon Lake in the crowd. You had, you know, all these big, big, you know, superstar Christian artists, you know, it was kind of intimidating a little bit.
Starting point is 00:29:43 Lauren Daigle. Yeah, Lauren's awesome. And like the Christian artists that I listened to as a kid, I mean, jars of clay, newsboys. Yeah. I'm friends now with Chris Tomlin. Yeah. Chris was there. Saw Chris.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Who sells out arenas. Yeah. All around the world. It's awesome. It's crazy. Well, congratulations. on that and congratulations on your success in country music. You have a new song that
Starting point is 00:30:05 I was kind of wanted to hear it a little bit of. Yeah. That good times go by too fast song. Yeah. So what's, talk to me about this song. Like just just in general. I mean, look, I like to write things that I relate to, right? And I live. So I've got kids. I've got a six-year-old boy, four-year-old little girl. One and a half-month-old little boy. How's that going?
Starting point is 00:30:23 Oh, man. You know what? He's the easiest of the three, but it's hard when you get in a rhythm of how you get to just sleep through the night. And then all of a sudden, here we are waking up two, three, four times I like to feed a baby, but it's great. I'm not being negative about it. Do you kind of get a callous by the third one, though? Like you just know what it is, you know?
Starting point is 00:30:41 Oh, 100%. It just is what it is. Yeah, no. But the sleep, no, no, no, still sucks really bad. I would think, though, I mean, look, you got all these number ones. You can't get some help to do that? We keep it real, man. I hear you know what?
Starting point is 00:30:53 I tried to get my wife. I said, babe, we could just get like a little night nurse, you know? She says, no, I won't do it. Not doing it. Then I would say, wife, then you wake up at night. Yeah. See, it's really tough for me because it's like, when I'm on the road, we're staying up till 1, 2 o'clock in the morning because that's just the way it is. And then when I get home, I have to turn it back on.
Starting point is 00:31:11 I'm in bed by 8.30 just so I can get a decent night's sleep. It's rough. Well, congratulations. Thank you. That's super cool. If you don't mind, I know you have a guitar. Would you play a little bit of good time? Yeah, good time.
Starting point is 00:31:23 I love the song and yes, thank you. Thank you for clapping for me, guys. That's a question. No problem, man. I love the song. It reminds me of you, too, because it's like I see you on it. on a TikTok and you know, you're a big family guy. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:31:34 And you've focused, that's a big part of your life. And I'll say your brand, but it's part of your life. And so that song really like reminds me of you. I mean, it's you singing it, but like what you showed the world too. Yeah. Well, that's what I wrote it for, you know, my kids and my wife and just everything that's going on. It's like, man, the good times really do go by too fast, you know, we're living it right now.
Starting point is 00:31:52 What's up with the name Barron? Barron? Mm-hmm. You know what? There's a, there's a ballpark in a baseball field in my hometown called Barron Ballpark. And we used to sneak in there and turn the lights on at night and play football with all my buddies. And I don't know, man, we were thinking about a name for the, for Barron. And I was like, man, Barron's such a cool name, you know, in the ballparks in our hometown.
Starting point is 00:32:14 And it just sounds like that name when he's walking down the hall. All the girls are like, oh, my God, there's Barron. You know, like, it's a cool name, right? Did they say that about Dylan? Oh, my gosh, there's Dylan. I didn't get that, man. Yeah, right. You're like all jacked and good looking and could sing.
Starting point is 00:32:28 You ain't fooling else. He's like the hot girl that's like, I was a tomboy. No, okay. Stop. Okay, so, and you don't have to say too much here, but I was looking at some of your tour dates for next year. Are you about to announce something? Because I don't see a lot of dates up yet. Yeah, we're about to announce a tour. I'll be direct support for an artist. It's a can't say who yet, but he's a good friend of mine. He's killing. He's killing it. He's killing it. He's going to be a good time. What's rhyme with? Nah, that's all right. Don't get in trouble. Don't get in trouble. So, okay, we'll be watching your socials for that. And, man, keep killing. Congratulations on another massive song. I appreciate it. We'll play that now. But it's Dylan Scott.
Starting point is 00:33:02 You guys go follow Dylan on, you have the same name on TikTok and on Instagram, right? Dill Scott Country. Is it not exactly the same? Maybe like a word or two different. I don't know. I don't know. I think you now have the same name.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Because I thought it was different too. I think he's now Dylan Scott Country on both. Congratulations. That's a big deal, man. It is a big, yes. That's the biggest deal of all, it looks like. Wow. I still can't get Bobby Bones for some dude.
Starting point is 00:33:25 I've tried to buy it like five times. He won't sell it to you. No, he said if Dylan Scott would call him at home, though, and sing him. I got him. Yeah, thank you. I got him. All right, here is Dylan Scott. This song is headed to number one. Can't have mine find you a girl. Dylan, good to see you, buddy. You too, man.
Starting point is 00:33:37 All right. There is. Dylan Scott, everybody, you guys check out. I'll be a bartender. It came out in October. This old lady had a bunch of paintings in her kitchen, a bunch of old paintings. She didn't know they're worth anything because they were crappy old paintings, except one's worth $26 million. Was that a Picasso? What does she have in there? $26 million. Oh, that's got to be a ring brand. Maybe it made me a room rent. The painting is called. the mocking of Christ
Starting point is 00:34:00 it was created by Simaboi. Oh yeah, yeah, one of the best. He's a small one of the way. I don't even know how to say his name. The woman thought the rare artwork was a Greek religious icon. Now four years after its discovery,
Starting point is 00:34:13 it's headed to the Louvre in Paris, and it sold for 26.8 million. Oh. You were at the Louvre, right? Dang. Did you see any of the mark? I don't even know who this is. I'm going to tell you,
Starting point is 00:34:24 I don't know the difference these things. I looked at them. What do you mean? What do you mean? You don't know the difference in, like, paintings? I mean, I couldn't tell the difference in like one of these and if somebody just slapped some stuff down and said, this looks old. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:35 I'd have been her. I'd had it not known. That's amazing. That is wild. There was another one, so get this. Dog Walker had this painting that was worth $10 million. And he was like, oh, my, because he just kind of stumbled into it. And so it went to auction.
Starting point is 00:34:51 It sold for $40,000. Oh, no. So he had bought it for. No. So. He had a $10 million painting and no one wanted. Yes. Oh no. So he was devastated when he found out. His name's Mark Herman. He said he had a vision that this painting by Chuck Close was going to be worth a whole lot.
Starting point is 00:35:11 And everybody was like, this is going to be worth so much. I don't know, Chuck. Then they went and sold it. It was worth $40,000. That's still a lot of money. No, it's not. $40,000 is a lot of money. Not when you just randomly me that brum, but you know what, though? I like these stories. I mean, that may sound negative. But I do like these stories because you don't have a bunch of like, oh, wow, they made billions of dollars.
Starting point is 00:35:29 and then another head. Like, now this is a real one. One that makes it a little more normal. But 40,000 is still a lot of money. Sure. He just thought he was going to make 10 million. Yeah, but think when you go in thinking you're going to make 10 million, you get 40,000, I'd be like, oh. You'd be like what?
Starting point is 00:35:42 What would you be like? Probably be out. Yeah, I hear you. All right, here is Shelby from Ohio. We were at your Louisville show. Me and my husband had the best time ever. We're both your young listeners. I'm 27 and he is 29.
Starting point is 00:35:56 I'm going to say that it was a great show, and we appreciate all the laughs. and everything you do. And we hope that you do another tour soon so you can come see you. Thank you very much. Everybody who came to Louisville is a great show. My final tour show. I've got one charity show in Florida
Starting point is 00:36:08 that's already sold out, but it's just a straight. But it's going to be good. But that was it. Final tour show. I don't know that I'm ever torn again my whole life. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:36:15 That's good. Cowboy rides away. Yeah. It happens, dude. If you're going that way, then we know you'll be back. That's right. All right.
Starting point is 00:36:22 Here is a caller about our dolly interview. Great dolly interview. It was wonderful. And it was cute to see Amy. Almost giddy talking to Dolly. It was so cute. You can see she was just smiling the whole time. It was precious.
Starting point is 00:36:35 She did a great job. Thank you. Go over to Bobbybones.com if you want to watch that or listen to the podcast. Dolly's awesome. A plus. Really enjoyed that time. I was just curious to that one thing. Eddie's got four children.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Lunchbox has three. All bored, mind you. How do they get so much time to get away from their homes, children, and wives to go do all the extra-courishers? curricular activities. Like Eddie's out in Texas, lunchbox is bowling. Just curious.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Hold on. Wait, wait. I'm in Texas. Lunchbox is what? Bowling. Bowling. Oh. No, I take my kids to everything. That's why everybody yells at me
Starting point is 00:37:13 for this charity stuff. Like, it was a charity event. I went to the bowling, and I took my kids. So they sat there and watched me bowl. Yeah. Were they proud of you? They were just yelling and screaming.
Starting point is 00:37:26 And so. But no, but they got dinner. They had dinner there. So I got them dinner. Did you pay for it? No, no, it's free. It was a charity event. Got it.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Yeah, yeah. So I bowled. I was part of it. I was a celebrity on my lane. And then my kid sat in the audience and they ate dinner and kept me on, Dadda, how many points do you have? And so after a while, do they ate, they bounced out. How'd you do?
Starting point is 00:37:49 I shot like a 140 and a 130. That's pretty good. Do you say shot in bowling? I don't know. No, I rolled. Oh, that's what you say? A bold. Yeah, bold, rolled, whatever you want to say it.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Eddie, your answer? I mean, I don't know, man. Part of my work. That's what I do. You get paid to do it. Yeah. It's just work. It's like anyone else. Like, hey, honey, I'm going to the office. Be back at 5. That's what I do.
Starting point is 00:38:07 Except you just go somewhere else. Right. I go to Texas. Here is one more. This is Rose Ina from Virginia. I have that blank slate game and I absolutely love it. And I don't know if you know, but there's going to be a show on Game Show Network starting in January and it's blank slate. So I think that's very cool. I can't wait for it to come on. All right. Have a great day.
Starting point is 00:38:31 Blank Slate's an awesome board game. And I did hear they were turning it into a game show. That's amazing. That is amazing. I just heard, too, my kids play that at school. It's like part of their class. They take like an hour to play Blanks Slate. Great game.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Great game for holidays. You guys get it. It's at Target. It's at Walmart. And Mario Lopez is hosting it, it looks like. Wow. It's supposed to hit me up. Yeah, what in the world?
Starting point is 00:38:52 Like, hey. You're a blank slate guy. Yeah. They're Mario Lopez. All right, Slater. Everything, man. All right, thank you guys for all your calls. Here's a voicemail from Justin in Wichita, Kansas.
Starting point is 00:39:03 I actually have a question about Amy's tail. Is it kind of like shallow hell? Like when she gets excited, it starts wiggling, or is it just a little bone? Like, I'm just wondering if it just wiggled like a dog's or what. That's a great question, because you do have a tail bone that popped all the way out. It's a tail bone. Does it wag? It does not wag.
Starting point is 00:39:20 It's a bone. Is it tail cartilage? It doesn't move. If you get really excited, though. No, it doesn't. Like, if you get a treat. No, there's, no. If you laugh.
Starting point is 00:39:30 It just sticks out. Okay. Justin, thanks for that question. Here's Amy's pile of stories. All right, so it turns out keeping secrets is good for you. The only thing is it has to be positive news. Why would you want to keep positive news secrets? Well.
Starting point is 00:39:50 I only keep the bad stuff I know about you guys. Like having a baby? Apparently it helps you. But not forever. True. Only when it still could become negative because you don't have the baby. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:59 When we are holding in positive secrets, It helps us feel more energized and alive. This whole study was done. Like, an example would be, like, you're saving up money. Nobody needs to know, but you kind of got this. It's like a secret of yours, or you've reduced debt, or you bought a gift for yourself, and you're not telling anybody. But that's all stuff that's, even if it's not a secret, it's fun. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:20 The secret actually does nothing except. But apparently keeping it a secret, it helps you feel more alive. I don't know. Does anybody here have a positive secret? None. No positive secrets? None? Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Huh. My secrets are all dirty. dirty dog. It's all about all you guys. Hey, tell us one. Yeah. Positive secret. Yeah, I have one. Go ahead. Not telling you guys. It's a secret. Wait, what? It's a great point. Yeah. Why would we reveal it? You have one too? Because it's something fun to share. Maybe you can't share a secret. Maybe you felt energized, but then... These lips are sealed. Okay. I'm thinking mine right now and it's about you. Oh. But I can't tell you because it's secret. Wait. Is it a gift? He only thinks a dirty ones, Amy. Is it a gift you bought me? Don't worry about it. All right, next. Okay, psychologists have determined that there is one flirting technique that works the most. Like you can, and you should say, if you're, good looking. If you're married, that'll help.
Starting point is 00:41:06 Muscles. You should still flirt. Rich. Wait, hold on, hold on. What did Amy just say? With your wives. Do you all still flirt with your wife? Good thing you finished that.
Starting point is 00:41:15 Yeah, you just said flirt. You said if you were married, you can still flirt. You got to fight through the talking here, Amy. You'll always start talking. I just got to push through you. Okay. Is flirting still a part of your, you know, engagement. No, mine is trying. I try. So I think, yes, I think the way that I would flirt is by
Starting point is 00:41:33 trying to be funny. But my wife does not think I'm as funny as she used to because she hears the same crap all the time. Like she can predict my jokes. It's low-hanging fruit. And so she knows what I'm going to say. So if I can get her to laugh, like that's a win for me. Because she's funnier than I am. She's the funniest person ever met. And so I would say my flirting style is being funny. But with her, I just got to try. Just try to be funny just to be back and even. Okay, well, here's some top flirty things,
Starting point is 00:42:00 and I'll get to the number one. And if three eye contact is a huge way to flirt. Or how to stalk. Yeah, because that could be creepy. It just depends what you are and how long you hold it. Yeah. And generosity is a big way to sort of that's hot flirt. I said that, rich.
Starting point is 00:42:13 It doesn't have to be. So give her $100 bill. Yeah. That's called prostitution. Oh, yes. Time is free. Go ahead. And then the number one, flirty thing you can do.
Starting point is 00:42:21 But slap. Funny. Humor. That takes the top spot. Like, if you can be witty, that pot. According to psychologists. Amy, is this your list? No.
Starting point is 00:42:33 No, but you'll, do you still try to make your wives laugh? Yeah, all the time. Unsuccessfully. Never works. Never works. Well, we're at dinner. Before we go out to dinner, we're with friends, which we do every few weeks or so. And if I'm on, I'm killing.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Like, I'm crushing the room. I got everybody's table laughing. It's another couple or four people. I will text her and be like, look what you're missing. By not thinking I'm funny. I'm killing the room right now. Just watch this. See, you may not think I'm funny, but I'm demolishing this table with jokes and stories.
Starting point is 00:43:04 And she doesn't care. She doesn't. All right. And holiday season is officially here. So, of course, some important research was done around that. And a poll found that the most popular holiday flavors of cookies, gingerbread, caramel, peppermint. And over the next few months, the average person is going to eat about 26 cookies.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Wow, that's a lot of cookies. Gingerbread? First of all, you guys need to chill out. I like cookies much the next guy, but 26 is a lot. Two. How's chocolate chip still not there? Yeah, that's number one. It's holiday flavors.
Starting point is 00:43:33 Okay, but nothing says holiday like enjoying something. Yeah, sure. My wife made chocolate chip cookies last night and milk for me. Oh, man. She knows that's my thing. I love chocolate chip cookies and milk. But it's your thing after a show. I know, and I didn't expect it.
Starting point is 00:43:44 I didn't ask for it. She's like, okay, I made some cookies. That's cool. Was she flirting with you? Probably. Yeah. Did you make her laugh after that? I had to work.
Starting point is 00:43:54 Hi, Amy, that's my file. That was Amy's pile of story. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. I want to say hello to Brianna Mills. So she's at 7-Eleven in Virginia, and she sees somebody ahead of her. And 7-Eleven, what I like about 7-Eleven, one, the slurpees.
Starting point is 00:44:16 But then two, you can get a little more than gas station stuff, because I used to get a lot of my groceries from the 7-Eleven near my Allison Austin. I would never go to the grocery store. I would just stop, get groceries at the gas station. And so she was there and someone was buying some groceries up ahead of her at the 7-11. And their card wouldn't work. And she was like, no, I got it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:44:34 No problem. So the person let them do that. They're like, oh, wow, thank you very much. So she buys this, super kind. The person's very thankful, walks out. And she's getting her stuff. He goes, I'll take a strike at rich scratch off. Boom, $150,000.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Bunk winner. Let's go. Wow. $150,000. winner. Hey man. Good things having to good people. Right after that. Lunchbox, maybe you have to go to a gas station, pay for somebody stuff ahead of you, and that gives you that.
Starting point is 00:45:02 On it. Okay. Oh, man. That could be it. Maybe that's the sprinkle dust you need. That's what you've been missing. Wait, wait, me, name the lottery ticket. Well, I don't know they're going to have strike it rich, but it's supposed to strike it rich.
Starting point is 00:45:13 I'm trying to think if it's a $10 ticket, $20 ticket, I don't know. Does that matter? Does that matter? I would get the... I'm going to try to do the exact same price level. You're missing the point. I'll get in with you on this because I think that could be some sprinkle dust. If I give you $20 where you get $2.20 tickets, you and I'll split it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:29 And then he'll pay for, I'll have to give you money to pay for the person. Oh, crap. Yeah, he should. I got to give him extra money to pay. No, no, no, let him do it. That's a good point. Oh, man. Strike it rich and she won how much?
Starting point is 00:45:41 $150,000. That's the max. It's only a $5 ticket. We don't want to do strike it rich. We want to strike it richer. Yeah. It's in Virginia. And that's in Virginia.
Starting point is 00:45:49 You're going to go all the way to Virginia? No, no. just saying. Winning tickets unclaimed one. She got the last one. Yeah. So if I give you money. Unless it's claimed already.
Starting point is 00:45:58 If I give you cash, can we do this? Will you do it? Yeah, yeah, I'll do it. Here's what I'm going to do. Because I definitely want to be on the luck too. So I'll give you $40. Whoa, yeah.
