Morning. Well, I posted a video on my Instagram. It was a clip of Billy Ray Cyrus. and we were talking about how he got off drugs. And it was very emotional. And Billy Ray does have his long beard, long hair now. And people were just really mean to him over on my Instagram. And they were like, why does he look like that?

Why is he talking like that? And you could tell Billy Ray was a bit emotional, and you never know what somebody's going through, ever. And so I did see this come across yesterday. Tish Cyrus has filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus after nearly 30 years of marriage. So everybody that was hating on him for, like, talking, and being emotional and sad,

this is probably going on while that conversation was happening. And it was such a, I mean, he was so vulnerable in his story about how he got to Nashville, how he was badly on drugs, how one day he stopped and threw it all out. And his struggle since.

And, you know, all while he was going through this, which he knew was coming. And so, you know, just to come on and say, hey, let's, I know it's not going to work, but let's just be nice on the internet. Maybe for a couple hours it'll affect somebody that's on Facebook wanting to say something mean. But it's a great interview.

If you guys get a chance to listen to the Bobbycast from a couple weeks ago, it's Billy Ray Cyrus. But they are getting a divorce, according to court records. Tish filed docs in Tennessee last week. They have five kids, including Miley and Noah Cyrus. Noah is the youngest at 22. In the docs obtained by TMZ, Tish says the couple hasn't lived together for more than two years.

So I guess it's been known to becoming, especially if they haven't lived together for two years. It's the third time they filed for divorce. I'd ask Amy about it. I'd said, hey, Amy, did you see this? And she looked it up. She goes, well, there's a story from like 2013 or something, right? Yeah. Yeah.

We wish them the best. I really like Billy Ray. I wish people were nicer to him on my Instagram. I thought that interview with him was so good. It was an hour long. I encourage you to go hear it. And we hope they need to figure out and they can both move on in whatever way possible. Everybody's going through crap

and he was going through this crap when that was happening. So good luck to them. And good luck to us today, I'd like to say. And yesterday all of our microphones went out. So we did the second half of the show. We never got to play a song. Fine by me.

We did play a song once, but we didn't know our mics were still on. And so you hear like Morgan and like Amy. And at one point I'm talking to Eddie about finding a drummer for our Garth show and it's just all on the air. Luckily we have a rule where nobody curses in studio or says anything bad around a mic anyway.

As of this morning, we're back on, except Lunchbox's mic doesn't work today. Hello. So there's that. Could be the doll. He's in the room. I don't know. He's in the room,

but his microphone doesn't work. How's your day going, Lunchbox? Great. Yeah. So glad to be here. Thanks, guys. You're welcome, buddy. So weird.

But we are here that kind of the feeling is from a lot of you guys that Lunchbox's doll has cursed him, which has cursed the studio. So it wasn't my doll. But you took the doll home for a week, therefore it was your doll. Man, the best money I ever spent was paying him to take that doll.

Hello, Bobby Bones. I went on a date recently that ended with a girl creating a TikTok video about me. Sure, the date wasn't the best. But in her video, she proceeded to say that I talked way too much and did a thing where I was trying to finish all of her sentences. The only reason I talked so much was because she was very quiet. After talking to friends, they pointed out that I do complete. sentences often, so I'll give that one a pass. The question I have for you is should I call her out

about the TikTok and ask her why she just didn't say those things to me? Should I make my own TikTok? Would you go on a second date with a person who made a TikTok about you? Regards, long time listener. I don't think she wants to go on a second date with you, buddy. Yeah, that's pretty safe to say. That's what I would say first. I don't think there's a second date option. She was looking for TikTok content. Yeah, if she makes that, she does not want a second date. Also, if she didn't address you by your name and people can't figure out who you are by her video, I would just, as they say, let a sleeping dog lie. She obviously wants attention for this video. By you calling her out publicly, you are going to shine more light on her video. By you calling her out privately, if you write it,

she'll screenshot it and make a second video. Oh, I didn't think of that. Oh, yeah. By you calling her and saying it by mouth, she will then remember that and say it in the second video. Oh, wow. I don't think of that. I thought, well, what's the harm in letting her know that that wasn't cool? No harm. She will make a second video. Okay. And then I guess if he makes a TikTok and puts a video, then he's outed himself as the guy.

And people that don't know about her will then go check out what he's talking about. But Bones could be funny, though. Like, you know how you do duets on TikTok? It's like him, he gets on, he gets her video, he's listened to it, and then he finishes all her sentences. He does it again. And then the caption says, I'm the guy she's talking about. That could be a good video. wants to be a TikTok star, I would

just attack it back. Right. And then you could do something like that. I can go viral. But it doesn't sound like he wants to be a TikTok star. He just wants to hide. So, okay. If you think you want to blow up on TikTok, go at it. If you don't want this to be public, I'd just be quiet. Let it go. Because no one's going to...

It probably won't go viral. Some of these go viral, but for everyone you see that blows up, there are 5,000 that don't. Right. So, if you don't want people to know it's you and you don't want to have a career on TikTok, Just chill, buddy. That's what I would recommend. It stinks, though, because she probably exaggerated a lot of stuff, how bad it was.

She probably wanted to make the video before she even went. She was looking for a date to make a video. And he was the victim. Yeah, because you don't just go, well, that wasn't very good. I wonder how I'll react. Let's make a TikTok. And honestly, stuff she said isn't terrible, terrible. Like, if she were to say life-damaging stuff, then you would have to, like, respond, right?

You would sue if it were stuff that could damage you. Yeah. So for slander if she said it. Defamation, if she wrote it. I got it. Oh, that's the difference. Didn't know that. There you go.

Husband truck gone. So had to borrow a friend's truck. I mean, the only reason why he had his truck was to move something. We go, we move it, return it. Stevenson's with us. He's like, are we sure we're just going to leave the keys in the cup holder? And it's like, well, yeah, because that's what our friend said to do. do. I'm going to be home really soon. Just put it in front of the house with the keys in the

cup holder. So the person you borrowed it from said, hey, no problem. You can leave the keys in it. Yeah. I'll probably be there real soon. Was it like 11 o'clock at night? No. Or evening. Late afternoon or early evening. Okay. So that's when we dropped it off. Well, so he was supposed to get back soon, the friend. But he didn't get back as soon as he thought. And he didn't get back soon enough before the truck got stolen. Oh my gosh. Oh, my God. Like, what are the odds?

How did you find out the truck was stolen? I called the next day, and so you're not going to believe this. My truck was stolen last night. He called you. Yeah. And we were like, say what? And he's like, yeah.

So four, I don't know how many details I'm going to give. So some men, boys, whatever, I don't know, were dropped off in the neighborhood to rob cars. And they have security footage of all the neighbors, and they sure enough, they were breaking into cars and stealing things out of cars. Oh, they hit the jackpot. They were like, guys, come here, look at this.

You'll never believe it. So they had zero intention of stealing a car. However. However. There's no choice. You have to steal it. The car's telling you to steal it. Yeah, it was like a gift from the universe.

Or you. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. The keys are in the cup holder. And it's just crazy because it, so now it's like the car was stolen because of us.

Like, we never borrowed it. It wouldn't have gotten stolen. But then he's the one that said, Leave the Keys in the Cuppholder. And we second guessed it, but he said, no, no, no, no, it's fine. So whose fault is it? That's a great question.

Yeah. Because whose fault is the truck being stolen? And then why? Lunchbox. It's obviously the guy's truck that owns it because he said leave the keys in it and he didn't get home when he said he was going to get home. But also, I think he set it up insurance scam.

Oh, you think he set it up. Absolutely set it up. Okay. Absolutely set that up. Because he has her believing it too. He says, oh, okay. There's a new wrinkle. Yep, maybe there was something going wrong with the truck

and it was going to be too much to fix it. And the insurance didn't know about it. So he was like, you know what? If I get it stolen, they're going to give me the value of the truck. Boom. I mean, he said he was kind of excited about getting a new truck. Eddie, I'm going to Amy's fault. Okay?

I'm going Amy. I mean, even if you get told leave the keys there or whatever, you should be like, no, no, no, I'll drive them to you whenever, you know, you get home. Amy, if it wasn't for you, leaving the keys in the couple of holder, that truck would have never gotten stolen. I know. So my, I'm going to ask you a question, and I hope to get full honesty here, because this is going to affect my decision and who actually isn't, you know, at fault for this.

You're using the truck. You're driving it back. Now, did he expect you to really bring it back when he was home? And because you were there when he wasn't, he didn't have a way to get the keys. He's like, no, no, he would, nope. The whole time from the minute you borrowed it, he was like, when you come back tomorrow, whatever, just put the keys in the cup holder. No, he was, yeah, he was out of, he was out of town, not far. He was about three hours away. So he knew he was going to be gone and that we were going to be returning it while he was gone. I just think I wouldn't have left the keys in the cup holder.

I know. Even if they told you. Yeah, I would just bring it back when you're here. That's what I'm saying, Amy. Especially if it's on the side of the road. We put a full tank of gas in it. Oh, so. They really need to thank you.

Those, the guys who stole this. Yeah. And then, you know, when he reported it stolen, the police were like, I mean, because he has a spare key. And he's like, what if I see it around? Like, I have a key. I'm going to carry it around with me. And they said, do not get in it.

take your car back because now that's reported stolen and if cops see you driving it you will get pulled over and get arrested. Fun little story that's been told on the year years ago. Arkansas Keith, my old stepdad, he had his Jeep stolen and he had an idea of who stole it because some people saw some fellas that were up to no good that lived in a town nearby. And they were like, we thought we saw them with the Jeep. So he knew where their trailer was in the woods and where they lived. He snuck onto their land.

I love it. Jumped a fence, had a spare key, stole. his Jeep back. That's right. And then had it. And that was the end of the story. That's how you do it. He could have been shot.

Oh, sure. It was pretty awesome. He stole the Jeep back. Yes. That stinks and it is partially your fault. So what did you say to him? We said, oh, we are so sorry. What are we?

I mean, but he was in a great mood about it. He was. So maybe? I'm telling you. He's not good mood his truck was stolen. Come on. It was a nice truck. He doesn't need a new truck, but he did say, he didn't mention.

that it's okay insurance i'll get a new truck wow come on okay so what do we learn from this though let's let's have a learning oh i learned two things i learned that people are out there stealing things yeah i've learned that for a while you learned but in groups this like they're getting dropped off to like run around neighborhoods in like in stealing things and then they get picked back up

unless of course they get lucky and get a car and they drive drive out they don't need picked up yeah but because that happened in my neighborhood and security footage shows almost like the exact same scenario. So be on guard. And then, yeah, I learned, like, don't leave keys in the car, whether it's yours or somebody else's, especially with somebody else's. Are you embarrassed? I mean, it's almost like no way because he's, listen, he's going to be fine. And he lives in a nice neighborhood, like, it's all good. I think he's going to be fine, obviously. So I feel bad, but also he's going to be okay. If it was somebody where I knew it was really, like, putting them

in a bind, I mean, I'll probably have to buy him a new drunk. Like, I feel horrible. Don't leave your keys or your baby. Yeah. Or your baby. Or your baby. Yeah. All right, thank you. The more you know.

Catherine Fletcher, she's a high school teacher in Richmond, Virginia, and she's raising money for the seniors of her high school to get scholarships. And she's doing this by running from Richmond all the way to D.C. It's over 100 miles. So she's trying to go from the high school all the way to, I guess, the reflective pool at the Lincoln Memorial.

That's the finish line. So people are sponsoring her? Yeah, they're raising. Yes, they're raising money. She says her goal is $50,000. Wow. She gets that. I mean, that's good scholarship.

for the kids. I mean, she's definitely putting the work in for them. I just hate running. I just hate running. Oh, I do, too. And I understand why this is a great story. And let me say, amazing. But let me also say, I hate running so much.

It just bums me out and people run. Yeah. Because I know they probably enjoy it, and I wish I enjoyed something that made me healthy. You do. I hate running. Work. You enjoy work. And training.

You train every day. I hate it. I hate exercising. Hate it. I train three or four times a week. Train hard. for I don't know yet

basketball once a year sometimes but I hate this for exercising I hate it I like exercising if it's like the thing that happens while I'm doing something else

we're playing basketball I like playing basketball and exercise happens to be happening but hate exercise I have a feeling that captain I hate squats

I hate pushups let me list them off I hate pull-ups I hate running I hate situps oh Burpees tell me something

I feel like the cat's freaking out a little bit. Totally. Can the cat get out of there? It's got a little hole to breathe. thought of, but I think the cat's like, what's happening right now? Well, she's never been on a radio show before. So why did you bring your cat? Because she is what is special to me.

I don't collect anything else, but I'm going to get another cat, so maybe I start collecting cats. Oh, no, this is the first step. She's a cat lady. Yeah. So where's the cat been this whole time? She's been in my car. Oh, my goodness.

No way. No, no, no. She's fine. I put a shirt over the clear bubble. So she's not a parrot. No, no, no, no. No, they like dark. Oh, my gosh.

She had water? She likes dark. She's fine. She had water. That's not the answer to how she had water. Look, I put food in the bottom. She's got food. And she wants more.

Oh, no. Okay. I didn't know cats panted. Oh, and her name is Maggie. And, again, I just love her and I'm obsessed with her, and I can't wait to get more. Okay. Well, there's Amy show and tell her cat. Good job.

For about a five-year period, I would go once a week, and every time I went, I bought a new dober because I thought that was going to be the lucky dober that brought me the luck. And so this is the purple princess. I won one of the side games, the horse races, and this is the dapper I was using. Okay?

And pink. This is the pink one. The first time I've ever took my... He's going to go through all the colors. No, no, I'm only going through three. I'm not for a couple. Yeah. This pink one.

My wife, the first time she went, this was her first daubber that she bought, and she thought Vingo was so stupid. stupid and she fell in love with bingo and she fell in love with me. That's kind of romantic. This is green. The green goblin. The green goblin. The first time Eddie went bingo, he won three times. I was using this dober and I didn't win anything.

The first time I went, I won two with lunchbox. Yes. And he didn't win. See, here's the thing. My purple one, I only won the side game. I didn't win the regular bingo. So I've never been able to yell, bingo! I've never won.

But this is my bingo collection of daubbers. Shaw, we like that. You thought he was going to be bragging about being prom king. We like that. Okay, Morgan, you're the next one we're going to do in this segment. Morgan is our head of digital,

all of our social media, all of our videos. She's telling us to hold on because she's running out of the room. Please don't be alive. Oh my gosh. She brought her dog. Oh, no.

That could be it. So what we're going to do is who else has one? Ray has one. I have one. Eddie have one. Abby has one. Okay. Oh, here's Morgan. All right, Morgan. What's in the bag?

Well, I decided to change. I brought two different collections, okay? And what's in here is my collection of all of the sheep magazines that I've done. That's very interesting. I forget that Morgan is like a publisher of a sheep magazine. Yeah, and there's like at least 20 here. Like all of them are folded back from like 2016 when I first started doing it. And I've kept him all every time he's sent me the finished product. So tell everybody what you do. The American Hampshire Sheep Association asked me to be the magazine editor. So three times a year I put together this magazine and I just edit together ads or photos of sheep or lamb recipes.

Wait, hold on. It's all day. It's a whole day. So you talk about how beautiful the sheep are. Yeah. Beautiful pictures of the sheep. Yeah. The joy that sheep can bring to your life.

And then you do a recipe if you eat the sheep. Well, yeah. So, like, some people buy them for wool, right? Like, their wool. But then some people buy the lambs for other things that I choose not to think about. And we put in there what they can do once they buy the lambs. Wow. So, yeah.

Then there's, like, ads. So all these different people across, like, the entire country show off their sheep for other people to either buy them or, like, use them for different things. and yeah. There it is. Morgan number two. She's a Sheep Magazine editor. Okay, we're going to play a song. I still have mine.

I wasn't going to do anything with them. I stuck them under my. my seat and I sat there for the whole show. And then the lead singer Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, gets on mic and says how this place reminds me of Hawaii. I have a clip right here. That was probably a week ago. We played a show similar to this that was outside.

It was 28. So then I grabbed the Hawaiian Lays like, oh my gosh, he said Hawaii. So I throw the Hawaiian lays up there. The whole band puts them on. They play the rest of the show with the Lays on. And then he says, who gave me these? And I raised my hand. He gave it back to me.

I have the Hawaiian Lay that Eddie Better wore. It's faring apart. It's 20 years old. Yeah, don't shake it too much. 20 plus years old. Yeah. Okay. So I still have this thing. I will always have it for the rest of my life.

So really, you owe this girl. Like, this girl did everything. You did nothing. But you did it. I never saw this girl again. What she even real? Who knows? That's the question.

So I have like a Jayhawk here and like a sign when they won in 2008. Yeah. I have all this stuff around my house. But the major, the most exciting one. Okay. is when KU beat Missouri It was like a tie It went into overtime and we beat them by one point

And I was in that game or I was at the game and I'm right there Oh she had a picture of her above the sign Yes And it was in the newspaper like the Lawrence newspaper and all on the front page of all the newspapers So I'm very proud of this moment That's awesome that's awesome That's awesome! Mike D, our head writer on the show. If you hear a game, he wrote it. Mike D, what did you bring in for show and tell? So I collect celebrity memorabilia. I love getting things signed, and the coolest thing I ever had signed was back when I was an intern for the show. My favorite rapper was Donald Glover,

childish Gambino. I wrote this letter of why I love Donald Glover. Bobby read it to him on the air. And then afterward... That was awkward, huh? Yeah, very awkward. And then afterward, he signed it. He wrote, thank you, gave me tickets to the show last that same night.

So I have it framed. That's funny. That's awesome. I read it on the air because I knew he was coming in and I knew it will be awkward. But it was amazing. And then he was super cool to you. He was so awesome. So this is the coolest thing I have.

Read us a couple lines there. I wrote why I love Donald Glover. He's my favorite actor. I've seen every episode of Community. I mean, it gets really awkward. Go ahead. His character, Troy, has always been my favorite. I loved every cameo he's made on TV and movies.

I'm probably the only one who saw that's 2009 movie mystery team which I quote with my friends all the time kind of an insult in there I'm probably the only one who saw it so all right nice job that's a good one that's a good one that's old school show stuff

and finally to our listeners I like to share a story with you it was man probably seven eight years ago Eddie and I were doing our first major stage and we were opening up for Tim McGraw in Wyoming the raging idiots were and we had some

our equipment was bad. We didn't know what we were doing, did we? No, we had no clue. And so we go out and we walked out too far. Our cords all unplugged. We start playing. People start booing us.

There are thousands of people in the crowd. We're getting booed. Stuff thrown at us. Yeah, and this is that Tim McGraw is going on later. So it's a humongous deal. People start fist fighting because someone's booing and someone's like, you're not booing loud enough.

They start fighting each other. We finish our set and leave and we're like, oof, I don't know if we should ever do that again. Well, Tim McGraw here's the story. and he comes in, and he then gives me his cowboy hat. This is from the Soul to Soul Tour. This is the Tim McGraw, the hat that he wore every night on the Soul to Soul Tour.

I think it was a combination of him feeling sorry for me for sucking at his show. And then I said I never wore a cowboy hat. And I didn't have a cowboy hat. So he brought this and gave it to me on the show one morning. And I have left it in my house so people come up and they see it. And they're like, what is that? And I'm like, oh, just little thing Tim McGraw gave me. Let me tell you.

It's a black. What is this? I mean, it's kind of straw. It's a straw. Black straw. This is straw? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

But it's like real nice. But it's a legit resistal hat. So this is the soul-to-soul Tim McGraw cowboy hat that I sleep in. I mean, sorry, that I keep in the guest room. So people are like, well, it's up with that hat. And it's a cool little story. Awesome.

One about Eddie and I almost getting jumped in Wyoming and dying and two, Tim McGraw hearing it. Tim McGraw is called into the show on the request line before. Like, it's weird. Like Tim McGrawl's an actual fan of the show. Just listen to the radio show. And we don't believe him. And we're like, all right, let's ask you a question then if it's really you, Tim McGraw.

What's the third letter of your first name? M. All right, it's him. All right, so maybe through this you've learned something. Amy brought a live animal. Yeah, still here. Yeah, it's meowing right now. Lunchbox brought bingo dobbers.

Okay, so Bobby, let's say you're on a Southwest flight. and you are sitting there delayed for four hours on the plane.

And then the flight attendants start singing, if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. No, no, no, no. I need a tomato to throw. That's usually not something I would like to do, but don't perform then because nobody's happy. Yeah, so this girl and her boyfriend, they started filming and they were two of the people.

The plane was divided. Some people liked it, but they did not. And here's a clip. If you're happy and you know it comes. You have your ass. Well, I don't need her trying to get a record deal either right there because she's going extra hard. But she's good, though.

Four hours trapped on a plane. I don't care if it's Stapleton. Like, I'm in there for four hours. No, I'm not happy. I don't know it. I ain't clapping my hands. Yeah, that's unfortunate for everybody. The fact they won't let people off planes now.

After four hours, there should be like a 90-minute rule. If you're trapped over 90 minutes and we don't see an exact spot when we're leaving, we're going to let you off until we can kind of reconvene, make a decision, and go again. Yeah. Four hours are ridiculous today. So there's a new streaming service called Magellan TV, and it is straight up dedicated to true crime stories. So true crime all the time. White women everywhere are spending their hard-earned money to get on this.

Yeah, let me tell you some of these documentaries that they have available. Murder maps, lady killers, 10 steps to murder, nurses who kill. Oh, my. Sounds like a good one. I think if I You know what, on Netflix sometimes can tell us Someone's watching a whole lot of one show Yeah

Yeah, I think I'd choose a diamond still. All right, there you go. Maybe that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Tavares, Washington is a disabled vet, gets out of the military, so he gets a service dog

named Jasher. Well, a few weeks ago, the lawn crew left the gate open. And guess who went running away? Jashor. Correct. Jashor. Can't find him anywhere. Weeks go by.

Then he sees a post online. He's like, hey, that's my dog. So he calls the Humane Association. they're like, oh, we adopted the dog out, man. Sorry, you can't get him back. No, no, no. Wow. Yeah.

Joshua got to go rob somebody. So he hires a PI, private investigator, Anna Campos, she goes and tracks down the dog. But how does he get it back? The people returned to the Humane Association, and then he got to get the dog back. Are you sure? It was like.

But I'm like, do you have to hire a PI to be like, hey. It seems so weird to me. Sounds a little shady. That's why I'm asking. But they said. I like it. I just broken in it. When he hit them.

Hit them up. They're like, oh, sorry, it's been so long that we adopted the dog out. It's been so long. It had been like three weeks. I don't know how long it's... There's no collar on, Jash. Didn't have a chip. Man, it just said it was...

They told him it was too late for him to get his dog back. I'm starting to wonder if my dog... I think I got her chipped. Oh, boy. See, this is good, though. This story has now motivated you to check your dog to make sure it's chipped. So I should just take her anywhere and be like, can you scan her rolling? No, you can figure to any vet.

Yeah. I know. and just say, and they'll just know right where to go. Yes. I'm like 99% sure, but now this jasher story is making me wonder. And that's the reason we're doing it. I'm glad he got his dog back. But, I mean, I can't believe that if it's a service dog, it's not chipped.

It doesn't have, like, its initials in there, something. It will be now. That it can't talk. Right. I've worked a lot of these service dogs. They're super trained. Yeah, it's so smart. Well, you guys don't know.

They can talk human language. Well, that's why the people that adopted it were probably like, dang, we just got the best dog in the world. They're just done. This dog does the dishes. And now they have to give it back. In the end, he got his dog back. Got his dog back. That's an amazing story.

And Amy's going to make sure her dog is chipped. Yeah. My recurring nightmare. Do you guys have a recurring nightmare? Yes. All the time. What is yours, Eddie? Intruder in the house.

Got it. Amy? I don't have one. Mine is, like I have some PTSD stuff with intruders, but it's not the dream dream. My dream is my dog's escape about once a week, and I can't find them. And they're just gone.

what's the last organ to stop working? Your eyes because they dilate. That was the morning corny. Dilate. I know, I get it. It's just sad, you know? Why? I'm a sad joke. Everybody dies. That's true. That's even sad, Amy.

Oh, no. Now we're all depressed. But everybody also lives. I went into the Apple store to get some air tags for my dog's callers and had a smoothie in my hand. And they were like, oh, you can't bring that in. And I'm like, I'm an adult. And I was like, got it. So I threw the smoothie away. There's only a little bit left.

But I was like, dang, I really won't like that smoothie. But they're right. If I spill that smoothie on those phones, which I might, by the way, then that costs them a lot of money. So I threw the smoothie away. Yeah. You know what? They probably learned from that. you couldn't take your smoothie in because someone else went in there like my son and spilled a slushie everywhere.

Because that's what he did. It wasn't the apple store, but it was a clothing boutique. And right when he walked in there with the slushy because he followed his sister in there, Stasheera, my daughter looked at him and said, you shouldn't have that slushy in here. You're going to spill it. It's almost like she manifested it. And it happened. He spilled his slushy on 13 clothing items.

Did he slip on a banana peel? Whoa, whoa, whoa. No, but he's just, this is just poor thing. He can be clumsy. How did he spend on 13 different articles of clothing? You know, I'm telling you, I'm like, it's almost comical that Stasheera mentioned it and then it actually happened, but she's not wrong. He's just clumsy. He just trot the smoothie.

And it felt, like hit the ground, boom, and then went up. So they counted the items of clothing that were damaged, which was 13 total. Did you see him drop it? My husband was there. Okay. Same type of sweatshirts. I think the sweatshirts were $60 each. And so, like, the girl working, it's a small boutique.

She's like, well, this is, I got to call my manager, my boss. I don't know what to do. And my husband's like, do, I mean, I guess we can pay for them, but. $780 if they all cost. And she's like, well, maybe I can see about cost because really, it's not like we have to pay full. Like, if they're just replacing damaged goods, we can pay for their costs. and then they ended up just waving it and saying don't worry about it at all like after they made some phone calls.

So then and they were with like other friends. My husband was like, all right, everybody pick out stuff we're buying things. Oh, to support the store? Yeah, to support the store, not the damaged goods. But. Probably I could have bought the damage goes cheaper though. Yeah, no, it was in the stuffy damage.

It was like not sizes that anybody in our family would wear. So even if we took it home to wash it. But they just definitely couldn't. sell it. Red slushy. Everywhere. How did it go? You look great. The dress was awesome. The dress was super fun and green was the color of the night. Carly Pierce and I matched. But it was crazy. Dresses? You had some dress? Well, very close.

A lot of people thought we had the same one on. It had minimal difference in details. Was it the same? It wasn't. Mine had feathers and hers didn't. That was the only difference, really. But it was the same color. Okay.

Tell me what happened. Give me three stories or three fashion disasters. I can't do fashion disasters. I'll feel too bad. Okay. But there was lightning. So at one point on the red carpet, we all had to go into shelter for 30 minutes, even the artists that were on the red carpet. 30 minutes?

Oh, wow. Wow. That's a disaster. And we just stayed in the hallway at the auditorium and hung out with some of the artists that were on the red carpet. Wow. Okay. I got to talk to Dennis Quaid, and he shared that the most favorite movie he's ever done is the right stuff, which was like in the 80s. and he also talked about when I asked him his most favorite career moment.

He told me it was marrying his recent wife. That's an odd career moment. Yeah. I don't know that I consider that a career moment. Marriage is your career? I'd probably stop saying that if it were me. Yeah, a little different. He came in to the studio once when you guys were gone and we had to act out of scene together.

Wait, what? Mike, you were here, right? Yeah, Dennis Quaid. Yeah, we had to act out a scene together. Here? Yeah. Oh. He sat in your chair.

Because I remember when he came in in Austin. Years ago. He sat in your chair. Yeah, it was nice. He's a little all over the place. Yeah, it was nice. And give me your number one. And I got to talk to Leanne Rhymes about Coyote Ugly, which is like an epic movie, one of my favorites.

And I was telling her how much I loved it. And she was like, I can't believe anybody let me dance on a bar at 17 years old. That's true. That is interesting. Yeah, but she was like, you know, I want to dance on some bars. And I encourage her to dance on some bars now. And Leanne Rhymes may do it. She was there, huh?

Yeah, and she looked so good. That's pretty cool How was she? Because she's never been on the show But she's barredged into the studio before In the middle of a show And yelled some stuff Not mean, just crazy

And then walked out I kind of remember that Yeah She walked in and it was like And then she walked in and I was like Who was that? Somebody was like Ah, Thulean rhymes Like it was another Tuesday

So that's my only impression I have of her Was just being like Well that was pretty crazy That's pretty neat How was she? She was a really good interview And she made a comment that she feels like she's in a really good place right now. So maybe that was like something that she was in a different place then.

I enjoyed it. I wish more artists would just open the door and scream and leave. Oh, wow. That way there's not the awkward conversations in between songs. Like George Strait would be cool. Come and sit for a little bit. Yeah. Take a seat.

And it flooded. The whole thing flooded out. Yeah, the carpet was flooded. So all of our feet were wet during the carpet. But it worked out. And then I almost got to interview Anthony Mackey, but he had to run to go host the show. Did Kelsey host it from home, or was that just a weird thing? They'd cut in a couple times.

They cut in a couple of times, but it was pretty delayed, so it was a little awkward. Was it bad? Yeah. It was not, uh, not probably what they should have done. Production disaster? Yeah, they probably just should have gone to somebody fully new. Yes. And been like, hey, here's what we're, was it heavy lifting by the ho?

Poor dogs. Dogs don't know shame. I don't think. Not in that way. They may have their own way that they have their shame. But they don't understand the shame of a cone. But that cone drives, Stanley has had nine surgeries. Hates it.

Would run into walls just to break it. Like we just run it. I try to miserable. For him, for me, for everyone. Aside from the shame. Next time you should get him a bread face. I did all that stuff.

We did a little one. We did a bread. I don't know what a bread face is. Well, bread is that it's a cute slice of bread and they stick their head in it. It's not really bright. Oh, I had one of those. And then it ties around their neck

and that way they can't itch or bite at whatever the surgery was. Yeah, I had one of those. He got that really muddy. It doesn't matter. He hates it all. So anyway, Ollie's owner walked in and saw their parent, I said Grand,

wearing a cone as the, the dog also had it cone on. Cute. I mean, I get it. Yeah. Would you do that for your dogs? The dog doesn't understand what's happening. They don't know anything.

They don't know anything. It is. And I think it's great to see a family care about a dog so much. I mean, that's my whole point with this. Those are good people. They said, Ollie seemed happier. Now, his dad and the dog are cone free. And so that's the situation.

Hey, man, I got a quick question for you guys. I was kind of wondering what y'all's feelings were and what y'all thought about and kind of what Nashville's thinking is when it comes to like Cody Johnson being more of a traditionalist when it comes to music and getting the traction he is. I mean, do y'all feel like, you know, that country music is going to kind of lean back towards more of the traditional look or is this just something that's saying that traditional country music will always have a fit there? I think Cody Johnson is an amazing unicorn story of a guy who kept his base and just absolutely exploded within it and then now is building outside of it as well because he just had his first number one like on the national chart as well. But I mean, that guy plays shows so big. So I've always been a fan of Cody and how he does what he does. And also anybody that can ride a bull, like shout out to you, just period. The weird thing about traditional country music is this.

Because they get people kind of be, you know what, it ain't like it used to be with traditional country music. If you would go back to when that era of traditional country music started, it was considered progressive. And there was another group of people going that, that ain't country music. That's crazy stuff. This is traditional country music. So what you see inside of art, not just country music,

but we can speak about that here, is that there's always a different kind of traditional country music. In 20 years, you may look and go, wow, how about that traditional country music with Sam Hunt? And you could laugh now and go, wow, he's very progressive right now. But if you were told someone that you were going to take an instrument and make it electric, they'd have said, that's not country music. You're going to make a steel guitar electric. It blew country music's mind when that started happening. And now we think of it as, well, that's just normal, even pre-traditional country music.

So when people, and this is just my tip for anyone that's trying to find. fight anyone about country music. Oh, it ain't as good as it used to be. It has, that has to always be said. Or the music will stop where it is and it will die. What you hope is that it continues to be stretched and if it ain't good, it kind of gets sent back until it finds a new way that it's warmed and welcomed. Traditional country music has always been progressive until it's traditional again. So that has nothing to do with Cody. He does have a traditional sound for what was country music 10, 15, 20 years ago. But if you take that music and go back 35, 40 years, people are like, that's progressive.

Yeah, Johnny Cash was rock and roll. It was Johnny, what he was doing was wild. People were protesting. Yeah. Willie Whalen, Outlaw Country, that was not good. They didn't like that. People hated it until they loved it until they were like, oh, this is really good. Right.

So anything that you think of as like, wow, massive, traditional. This is what it used to be. This is what it should be. That was the music that broke ground then and people were complaining about. So, all back to Cody. Awesome. Dude's killing it. He's making a wonderful living doing what he loves to do.

And his, and is staying true to him, which I think is what the story is. He didn't let someone come in and go, hey, man, to get a label deal, why don't you do this with that? He stayed who he is and he's crushing it. But it's when people come on and like, well, I ain't country music. Well, what you think country music wasn't, I ain't country music, just somebody else. Because it was so progressive. But, hey, what do I know? There's kind of room for all of it, though, right?

Like, in the country genre, it's like... But for some, there's not. I think so. Nothing takes away from anything else. Just because you hate something, you don't have to listen to it. Right. You literally, if you hate my voice, you don't have to listen to my voice. You don't have to listen to the next song we're going to play.

But please listen. Yeah, oh, we'd like it. We'd like it. And to be honest, I don't even like all the music we play. But I'm not supposed to. I'm not even picking the songs. I like about 65% of it. I love about 10% of it.

I like about 65%. percent of it. And the rest of it, I feel, is garbage. But somebody else may feel it's wonderful. And that's what art is about. Well, some people definitely do because they make number one a lot. And there's garbage that makes number one. No doubt about it. Yes. Wow. Except for Cody Johnson, of course, who recently made number one. Well, we, I feel like, you know, we're sitting here. We have our opinions. Everyone will always have their opinions. And if country music ever stops getting the, well, that ain't country, the format will die. you want people to always be irritated

So goodbye, Kmart. A two-year-old boy from Ozark, Missouri. is making remarkable progress after suffering complications

from inhaling a rock. He's two. He inhaled a rock a little more than two weeks ago while at daycare. It settled in his right lung. Oh, man. They set his heart stopped for four minutes. They were doing CPR in the field. They were able to get him back. They took him to the hospital where he was at the hospital. His heart stopped again for eight minutes.

They got him back again after going to the hospital. In St. Louis, doctors were unsure if he was going to live or if he'd come off the ventilator. now they are optimistic about a full recovery. Doctor said the biggest concern now is his vision and him making sense of what he sees, but the healing process will take a little more time. They expect him to be in the hospital for around four more weeks,

it's over $5 a gallon well last week I was driving in the country probably about 20 miles out and I see gas is like way cheaper I'm talking like 30 25 cents cheaper and I'm like well I'm just gonna fill up here and go back into the city live my life. And when I need gas again, I'll take my wife's car to the country, 20 miles out, fill her up, and then come back. And I do it to my car, and I do it to my wife's car,

and I've done it twice. Okay, so let's think about this. You are saving money, but you're burning gas to go out there. Sounds like about 40 miles round trip. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So carry the two. Which we're looking at what, what, like how many miles? How many miles a gallon does your Jeep get? Like one? I'd say the Jeep's probably about 15 miles a gallon. Okay. You're an idiot. I mean, guys, that's one gallon. But also, let's factor in time.

If you want to win, you've got to play to win.

That's right. That's mostly like a fantasy. Like, if I ever won the lottery, I would do this. Not I'm bound and determined to win the lottery, and I don't know why I'm not. Because why you're not is it's almost impossible to win. And you're wasting your money. You're not if you win. Right.

If you win, but the odds of, thank you. Thank you. The odds of winning are almost none, so you're exactly right. But guess what? If you don't play, your odds are worse because you have no shot. But your odds are losing money are significant. So if you play, you're going to lose. No, you're not.

Have you ever won? Are you ahead, probably? Probably not right now. But it takes that one time. But he believes. It takes that one time. Go ask those people that have $100 million or $50 million or $100,000 or $100,000. You think they're ahead? Absolutely.

We have stories all the, well, I thought he was going to say, did they play for years and finally got lucky? But we have stories where like, I played the lottery for the first time and won $150 million. Exactly. That's great. So we did the math once. You started playing the lottery when you were 18? Yeah.

You're 41 now. Not yet. About to be? Yeah. Okay, so just to say 40. Yeah. So you've spent 22 years playing the lottery. Yeah.

And you spend how much a month? $300 a month now. Oh. But not always. Right, right. Yeah, back in the day. Yeah. So what we do, we just say $150 a month.

And if you do that. 12, that you are out, I believe, like $85,000. Oh, my God. That's nothing. That's nothing? That's nothing when you compare it to $100 million. What world do you live? But it's a lie compared to zero that you lost.

Okay. You're right, but I didn't lose that in one chunk. It's a slow bleed. It doesn't hurt as much. It's like payments. Yeah, it's like paying off your car. But you don't have anything. No, I'm paying off for the future when I hit it big.

You're not paying anything off. Anything you do in the future has nothing to do with what you're. you've done in the past. Yeah, guess what? When I win a hundred million... When I win $100 million in the lottery, guess what that $85,000 is going to be? It's going to be toilet paper.

Meaning you'll just wipe your butt with money? Yeah, because that's how rich I'll be. That $85,000 will be nothing that I lost. Who cares about that? You don't think about what you lost. You think about what you're going to win. Losers think about what they lost. Winners think about what they're going to win.

They're taking the standardized test that's required by the state. But one teacher said, man, I don't believe in this crap. So he turned up the music, you know, that way. It was disturbing other classes.

And then he just sat there and talked to his students, hey, guys, so what do you guys do at home? And don't worry about taking that test. It's bogus. Other teachers complained. He was escorted to the principal's office. And police were waiting for him. You don't have to believe that the standardized test is the best for students.

You do have to do what the bosses and state says. Yeah. like the principal and stuff. You don't have to believe in every... It's your job. There are... The occasional thing will come through here, and I'm like, you know,

I probably wouldn't mention that. If it was... This is a job, and I know the rules of the job. And it's weird that he just wouldn't quit himself and go, I don't believe in it. Oh, well, he didn't have to quit. He was fired. I see that.

And he was arrested for causing a disturbance. And then I'd like to hear his plan. If he's saying a plan isn't right, then what is your plan? He probably doesn't have one, though. Because I do believe at times, standardized. I can't say standardize. I do believe at times, standardized tests are not the best thing for some students. They're not.

So I don't fully disagree with him, but it's... So are you saying, is he a bonehead or is he a hero? He's not a hero at all. He's the opposite of a hero. I'd like to hear his plan. That's what I'd like to say. All right. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. I started the show this morning many hours ago talking about an interview I did with Billy Ray Cyrus. It's up on the Bobbycast, and it was A plus because I've, in my... career, not sat down with him for over an hour, and he was very vulnerable. He talked about giving up drugs, talked about how hard the last couple of years have been. And I didn't really

understand then that some of this may have been talking about him and his wife. They have just announced that they're going to try to get a divorce or get a divorce. And so here's a clip of Billy Ray Cyrus talking about finding his purpose in life after the last two years. I'm trying to find my purpose in this moment coming out of the these last couple years saying, wait, this can't be an accident that you survived COVID twice and that the whole world changed and somehow you just somehow you made it through it. So God kept you here and you found this song. Again, when I bought a guitar and started a band, I prayed God would give me the wisdom

and vision to use the music to fulfill my purpose and the life. So to be in this moment now and to be honest with you, I think that's kind of going full circle of kind of what I need to do. And I think the two years reference, because the divorce documents that they haven't live together for two years. And I think it's been a rough two years on him. And he was talking about it, especially that without just going, pointing at it, going, this is exactly what I'm talking about. But it lends new perspective to this entire interview. I posted some out of an Instagram. People were so mean. They were like, why is he talking like that? Why is you so sad? Why is his beard so long?
