A.P.U.S. dot E.D.U.S.L.L.L. Welcome to Tuesday's show. Morning studio.
Morning. Why don't we start with a little pick-a-bit to start the show like we did yesterday?
So I have three.
bits we will vote on the bit that we want to do today this morning the panel will be me
morgan and ray that's right eddie you're back in the mix buddy i'm back yeah so here are the three
bits we can choose from bit number one from lunchbox has anyone seen me on the news with audio
bit number two amy's now getting help from law enforcement bit number three eddie and his wife are now
paying money to do something together.
They're paying money for something you don't normally pay money for.
Well, it's this early in the morning, so it's not what I think it is.
Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't.
Well, I can't say.
Okay, so those are the three. What are ideas why paying money for that you don't,
you're not really supposed to do this.
Why is Amy calling the cops?
And why is lunchbox on TV?
Pick a bit. Ray, what do you like there?
Lunchbox TV. Let's go, baby.
Woo!
Yeah, right, let's go!
So you have...
Amy wants to see me on the news?
With audio.
Or you have Amy getting held
from law enforcement.
Or you have Eddie and his wife
spending money to do something
that people don't normally spend money on.
Go ahead, Morgan.
I'm sticking with Amy.
I want to know what happened
with the law enforcement.
God's be kidding.
You're such a...
And pick a bit.
I'm interested in the law enforcement story.
Oh, well.
I didn't pick it yesterday,
but today I feel like that's what I want to know about.
So, Ray, if you can start the segment,
here is the winner of today's pick a bit.
It's Amy.
The Bobby Bone Show.
So what's up?
Law enforcement's involved now?
Well, law enforcement reached out to me.
Okay.
After listening to the show and they realized that my ring, my college ring, my Aggie ring, went missing in North Carolina.
And law enforcement in the state reached out to me and said, hey, you know, if you send me all of this information, I can search databases that could help track down your ring.
Did you send the stuff?
Well, I was hesitant because she needed like a lot of personal information.
Are you sure she's a cop or it's one of those scam stories?
She said.
Amy loses $200,000 to a scammer.
Yeah.
She said she could show me, you know, credentials or whatever.
Who is she?
Is she an officer or state trooper?
Yeah, I believe a state trooper.
It sounds like you don't know.
Well, it was an email.
We need to put lunchbox on this case.
Yeah.
I have phone numbers.
I mean, if he wants to reach out to her, I'd feel better.
about that. But, I mean, she said
that she was even going to be in Nashville if I wanted to
meet up to, like, see the
credentials in person. Yeah, she'll show you
her badge or gun. Yeah, or shoot
me. She'll abduct you? Yeah.
So, if she is a cop, though,
you for sure, we give your stuff. Well, that sounds like
a lot of personal stuff to get a ring, though.
That's weird. But you've got to find out your
background, the
where your house was. You said you were broken in.
They had to look at the case report, all that.
It goes into crime research.
They have to do all the background check.
But Mattlock, how do you know all this?
But also, I feel like it's a lot.
Don't we have crimes to be solving besides Amy's ring?
Well, you don't only just search for the biggest crimes,
or then no crime would be solved.
Yeah, I did.
Thank you for bringing that up, Lunchbox,
because I did think about wasting resources, you know.
I'm sure she types some stuff into a computer.
Okay, well, she reached out.
Did she want your social security number?
I can't remember all the details.
But, I mean, she's like, if you don't feel comfortable sending me personal information,
that's when she said we could meet up in person.
Uh-huh.
Okay, let's put lunchbox on this.
Yeah.
I mean, it's all legit.
I mean, I can find out if she's legit,
but what she's asking for is all legit when you're doing research.
But how do you know what she's asking for?
She never said what she's asking for.
But I can tell you what she's asking for it because Amy said her house was broken into so she wants the case number.
There was a police report file.
That's what I'm saying.
She needs all that.
So, I mean, but it was back and shoot, that was like 2009.
I hope you find the ring.
Lunchbox will find out if she's real.
Yeah, I'll do the research.
I'll call her up and I'll ask her cop questions.
Oh, dude.
Be tough with her, Lou.
Yeah, yeah.
Hey, don't be a wet noodle.
Be strong.
I'm not a wet noodle.
Okay.
Mostly you are, squirrel.
But other than, I think this time, though, really stand up.
Be strong, all right?
All right.
All right.
Let's get started with today's show.
Amy, your pick-a-bit.
We're going to find you this class ring.
Okay.
And there's a reward for it.
What was it?
$550?
Yep.
I can't remember.
Is that what we said?
I think you were $500.
I believe that's correct.
Mike?
Yeah, all right.
Okay.
There we go.
Good luck.
It is time to open up the mailbag.
mail and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mail back. Yeah.
Hello, Bobby Bones. I have a dilemma that I would like your thoughts on. We just moved into a new
house. Our 12-year-old daughter found some liquor left behind in an upstairs closet. She drank some of it.
She got sick. She ended up in the ER. She's fine, but my husband wants to sue the seller for leaving
the alcohol behind. However, I don't think it's a seller's fault. And our family is responsible for that bill.
as it currently stands, the seller doesn't even know what happened, and I would like to keep it that way.
What would you do?
Thank you, signed, would like to stay anonymous.
I guess my questions are, didn't this family hire an inspector to look all the way through the house?
Is it their job if they see something weird to be like, there's something weird?
Scooby didn't you used to inspect homes?
Can you help me with this?
I used to a home inspector.
So yeah, usually it depends on the situation, but usually the people buying the home would hire someone like me to come in and check.
The integrity of the home, the structure of it, the bathrooms, everything, top to bottom.
The whiskey in the closet?
Yeah, if we would see that.
Sometimes we find cash.
We'd find things from a previous owner and say, hey, just want to give you a heads up.
In the attic, there's a stack of cash or there's whiskey or whatever the case may be.
As a former, you know, a person that was going through all the guts of a house,
do you feel like it's the family's responsibility to know what they're buying and to remove the alcohol themselves?
Yeah, when you buy a house, if there's something in there that's not yours, you don't want it.
want it, you should definitely get it out of there.
And you own the house now, so anything in it, it's yours.
It's yours.
It's your responsibility.
You bought the home.
It is now yours.
Okay.
Then I believe it happened.
I'm sorry it happened, but that's the family's responsibility that lives in the house.
Right?
Yeah.
Would you agree with that?
Is this my final question for you?
Yeah, like, how do you buy a house and not look around all these things and miss bottles
of wine?
That doesn't make any sense to me.
You ever find cash and keep it?
Okay.
Yeah, there's a laugh.
I need to make sure the statute of limitations over before he answers that one.
I bet that happened a lot, huh?
Not with you, but in that industry.
Oh, I'm sure, yeah.
There's a lot of places you go just, they don't know.
They don't remember that it's there.
Their husband hit it, and he passed away, and the wife doesn't know that that was there.
So, yeah, that happens all the time.
And so then you find it, and you know no one will ever know.
Okay, he's a lot of weird.
Okay, all right, there we go.
It's, I'm not going to say it's your fault, because it's not your fault, emailer,
but it is not the homeowner of previous terms of responsibility.
So don't sue, right?
No.
I mean, no, no.
My answer is no.
Amy?
Yeah, no.
I mean, I'm just thankful the 12-year-old's okay.
And then, yeah, we need to go over some ground rules if they ever find liquor again.
And maybe, I mean, those rules maybe have already existed.
She just found them and partied.
Yeah.
You know?
And maybe she learned a lesson, though, about drinking too much.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's good.
You have to go to the hospital because you drank too much?
That's a lesson for sure.
That's the mailbag. Tell your husband not to sue. Play him this clip. Thank you for emailing.
We've got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's time to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah.
I'll give you two inventions. You tell me which one launched first. Now, we're doing this game because the iPod has been discontinued, which lunchbox hasn't unwrapped one.
You need to sell that thing on eBay in the next couple days because the market's at a peak right now. It will go down. It could possibly go back up.
to hit it now. Okay. I thought I was going to save it and be one of the last ones and then sell it,
but I think you might be right. I think it'll have some value again in a few years, but right now
when this thing goes out, if it were me, I'd sell it. Okay. So I'll give you two inventions.
Tell me which one launched first. Write your answer down. If you miss it, you're out.
Okay. Oh, wow. The iPod or Google. Which one launched first? The iPod, where you listen to
all your music or Google
where you search for all your things.
I remember when Google was
like firing up, but I was so
like Yahoo. I'd search everything in Yahoo.
I was like, I'll never do Google. I'm Yahoo all the way.
Or ask Jeeves. I said ask Jeeves
everything. Hey, Jee's an idiot.
You can never answer my questions.
What do you got, Amy?
Google. Lunchbox? Google. Eddie?
Google. In 1998,
Google was invented.
The iPod in 2001. Nice job.
Yes.
Twitter or YouTube.
Which one was invented first?
Twitter or YouTube.
And why this one's difficult is because they were within a year of each other.
That's tough.
Dang it.
I don't know.
All right, everybody in?
Yeah.
Yeah.
The winner was 2005.
I'll tell you that.
Amy.
YouTube.
Lunchbox.
YouTube.
Eddie?
YouTube.
Twitter.
Twitter was 2000.
2006, YouTube.
Yes.
Nice job.
The Blu-ray or the iPhone.
Now the Blu-ray, I'm curious, Morgan, if you know what that is.
DVD, maybe?
Ish.
Okay.
I would say a higher quality, more expensive DVD that came and went.
Yeah, I don't think I ever used it.
I always just saw it on a little DVD player.
You go to Best Buy and you're like, oh, crap, why can say about the Blu-ray version?
Oh, I hated that.
Yeah.
I had nothing to play it on.
All right, Blu-rays or the iPhone.
iPhone.
Lunchbox is on the toilet.
Hey, man.
Hey, come play this game, dude.
I'm here, man.
I just don't know.
Blue Ray or the iPhone.
Everybody in?
Yeah.
Amy.
Blue Ray.
Lunchbox?
Trick question.
It's iPhone.
Eddie?
100% Blu-ray.
Well, in 2006.
And that's the first year this came out.
It's the winner.
2006.
It was the blu-ray.
Lunchbox, it was a trick question.
Yeah.
It was so trick that it was real.
Right.
When an iPhone.
He does that.
2007.
All right.
So, Amy and Eddie are alive still.
Hey, Amy.
Hey, let's talk turkey.
What do you say?
You know, I talk to turkey?
Yeah, what does that mean, though?
I don't know.
I just saw it around the show.
Netflix.
Okay.
Or MySpace.
Which one came first?
I got my answer.
They're not even close, by the way.
Netflix or MySpace.
Amy?
Netflix.
Eddie?
I have Netflix written down.
Why did you guys pick Netflix?
Because it is before not.
Yeah, it came in the mail, like a long, long time ago.
Like Pony Express?
Yeah, because I thought it's, I don't know why.
Well, the winner is from 1997.
Netflix, yeah.
It's Netflix, yeah.
Myspace wasn't until 2003.
Yeah.
But it's weird because Netflix is still relevant and cool that Myspace seems like forever ago,
and Netflix is today.
All right.
What's involved?
Instagram or Tesla.
Ooh, interesting.
Which one came first?
The year this was invented was 2008.
What is it? It came first.
Instagram or Tesla?
I'm in.
Amy?
Invented in us using.
Very different.
It was invented in this year.
Go ahead.
Well, I'm going to go with Tesla.
So you think in 2008, Tesla was invented?
Yes.
Eddie?
This is interesting because I went with the Graham.
So let's go.
Well, we do have a winner.
Yeah, we do.
In 2008, Instagram had not been invented yet.
It is Tesla.
There it is.
Amy is the winner.
Nice job.
Good job, good job, good job, Amy.
Amy, run through this with me.
Napster DVDs.
Oh, DVDs.
1997 DVDs, 1999 Napster.
Amy, iPad or Snapchat?
Oh, iPad.
Correct.
2010 iPad, 2011, Snapchat.
Amy, Uber or Vibed?
Venmo.
Uber.
Venmo by a year.
Wow.
2009.
And then the final one, the Bobby Bone Show or Amazon Prime.
Which one came first?
The Bobby Bone Show or Amazon Prime?
The Bobby Bone Show.
2003 was the Bobby Bone Show.
Amazon Prime was 2005.
So even for, I didn't know, was that old?
I didn't either.
That is it.
Amy is our winner.
Nice job, Amy.
And Amy, because you won, I'm giving you a free every one of these on the list.
Bring up the Tesla, everybody.
Wow.
All right.
Okay.
The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.

this Friday. Reba McIntyre was just announced as a series regular on season three of ABC's

It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie.
Tell me something good. Coming up on June 8th, Harold Myers of Mansfield, Ohio is turning 100 years old.
Now Harold, he's a World War II veteran. He still drives. He lives with his wife.
He still drives.
Yeah, every day.
He lives with his wife who is 72 years old, and he loves to go to the grocery store and gets his own groceries.
She's 72. Good for you, buddy.
Right?
Almost 30 years.
So here's the deal.
His grandson's like, he does all this stuff, but he doesn't do social media.
So he wants birthday cards.
So he's asking everyone, friends, family, even the whole world, send Harold a birthday card.
His address is right here.
It's P.O. Box 3-10.
Well, why don't we post it?
No one's going to remember it right again.
Why don't we just post it?
We will post it.
Okay.
But he says, since he doesn't do social media, a nice Facebook post usually works.
But in this case, let's get him a real birthday card.
That's pretty cool.
He's 100.
I hope when I'm 100, I'm still driving.
And by that, I hope that I have some grandkids that have convinced me that a chair in the bedroom is a car.
And they're like, drive to the grocery door and I just go sit in and think I'm...
Slow down, grandpa.
I don't want to endanger anybody.
So I hope that they tricked me into thinking I still have it.
But I like that.
Turn it to 100 is awesome, man.
That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
There are a couple updates that the listeners are asking for. Let's do it.
You ready?
Bobby Bones Show.
Update.
All right, first of all, Amy thought she might have Lyme disease.
What's the update on this?
Well, I don't know because I haven't had the tick tested, but I did a round of doxycycline,
which was recommended by my doctor as an antibiotic to just be preventative.
But my arm still itches like crazy.
So right where the tick bit me, it's red and irritated and like, ugh, it isches.
Like I had to put this prescription itch cream on it, and we're like over three weeks out from the bite.
So I've never had something itched this long.
I still have the tick in a Ziploc bag in my freezer, and I'm contemplating mailing it off to get tested.
Yeah.
Not that because I don't have any symptoms yet of Lyme disease, but I just want to know.
I think like in my head, I just want to feel good about it.
Are you nervous?
I mean, a little bit, especially when I hop on Google.
Oh, don't hop on Google.
I know.
But I can't help it.
That's the problem.
Can't help it.
Okay.
Let us know.
You ready?
Bobby Bones show.
Update.
Eddie told a story about his kid giving a Pokemon card to another kid at church.
Yeah, they're trading cards.
And my son traded his card, but then the other guy said, where the other kid said,
I don't have it on me, but I'll bring it to church next week.
I mean, what?
That was four months ago?
No, never came.
Every time he saw the kid, he's like, oh, sorry, man, forgot it.
I forgot it.
So I thought I was going to have to go and, like, tell the parents like, hey, a deal is a deal.
You got a deal.
I'm not confrontational.
so I didn't thank goodness because last week,
the kid finally brought the card.
I mean, it took four months.
Why do you think he finally brought the card?
I think because he heard us talking about on the radio
or maybe the parents did and said,
you know, a little guy, they're talking about it on the radio.
It's not a good look for us as a family.
You should probably get that kid his card that he deserves.
So your kid has a card now.
The trade has been done and it's a sealed deal.
They both have their cards.
Love it.
You ready?
Bobby Bones Show.
Update.
Tomorrow morning, Morgan will review,
say by the bell,
there will be an update,
She watched. How many episodes?
Eight episodes of the first season.
She had never seen it, so we make her watch shows that we used to like.
So tomorrow morning around this time, Morgan will review Save By the Bell from the first
episodes where he has the Kelly Kapowski cutout, right?
Where she pops up as a volleyball player?
No.
That's not the first episode?
No, the first episodes are, they're like in eighth grade.
Yeah, but I think that was not to, that was the one.
Don't watch them at JFK.
Yeah, you got to watch them.
You got to watch them at the high school.
What?
Base side high.
Base side high.
Well, guess I got to go watch it.
eight more episodes rolling. Yeah, you didn't know the difference. But even when I said,
don't watch junior high, watch, is Miss Bliss in your episodes? Yes, she is. Okay, you didn't.
You need belting. Okay. Then what, let's, that doesn't count. Okay. But what did you think about that?
Oh, I mean, it was awful. Yeah. Don't worry, it gets better. It gets better once they get to high school.
I was hoping that and I kept watching like, okay, I could see why people might like this, but it was rough.
I was pretty bored for eight episodes. Were you like, there's no screech. There's no Slater. A screech was in some, but
There's no Slater.
There's no Kelly Kapowski.
Yeah, none of that's happening.
All it really focuses on the main guy, the blonde kid, who's like...
The blonde kid?
What are you talking about?
Well, you're just learning a lot about him and how he's the prank story.
He never gets any of the schoolwork done.
He's always checking out all the girls.
That's what you're really learning about.
And Miss Bliss's dating life.
Yeah, so not the right season to watch.
So we will not do that tomorrow, but we did get an update.
You don't like the junior high years.
I don't like the junior high years.
All right, there we go.
Thank you.

Crazy.

I would say this is what I'm absolutely the worst at.
If there's something that is bothering her
or she is upset about something,
I only go, I'm going to fix it right now.
It doesn't matter what it is,
but I will take care of it.
I don't even really want to listen anymore.
I just want to go and kick down the wall
and fix the problem.
Yeah, it's not good.
And sometimes they don't need the problem.
I'm fixed. Sometimes she just wants me to hear her, feel what she's feeling, and that's all.
I would say most of the time.
That's crazy to me.
The fact that there's a problem and you don't want me to go and stomp out the problem by either stomping or massaging, right?
Sure.
Fixing.
Oh, this is the number one for me.
I'm terrible at it.
So yes, I would get that.
Ed is happened to you?
100%.
Man, you would think as long as I've been married, I would know that, but I still try to fix everything.
Lachbox?
I'm a fixer.
I try to help my wife.
She has problems.
I'm going to fix it.
She tells me something's loose.
The door handle.
No, they're not talking about fixing things.
We're talking about like issues in life.
Like sometimes we just need to vent and share and have someone listen.
No, I don't try to fix those problems.
Do you just listen?
I listen.
He doesn't even listen to that.
Okay.
Ray?
Yeah, we're going to fix it.
It doesn't linger too long.
Okay, next one up.
When you don't balance your hobbies well,
meaning if you have a hobby and you spend eight, nine, ten hours
doing it and it takes time away from everybody.
I would insert work into this for me
where that's a big struggle where sometimes I would just lose track
of time because I'm so dialed into a project or writing something
and she's like, hey, you've been working for like 15 hours today.
You know, any chance?
You want to eat or hang?
Take a break.
Yeah, and that is something I'm trying to work on.
I'm trying to do better at it.
But I wouldn't say it's hobbies, but I will say I will sit on the PlayStation
sometimes and lose track.
And then what will happen too is I will work for all day, 12 hours.
And then I'll go, I just need to go and relax and play PlayStation for a little bit for four hours.
And all times time go to bed.
And I haven't seen anybody except work and PlayStation.
So the balancing I'm getting better at, but I'm still pretty bad.
Eddie?
Nah, I have no problem with balance.
I'm pretty good at doing whatever I'm going to do on the side.
Hobbies go and then spending family time, wife time.
I can do all that.
The next one is not complimenting her.
Ray, do you have an issue with this?
Are you good?
I try to compliment her, especially at the pool, rocking that bikini.
Oh, nice.
I compliment my wife a lot.
I make a point to do that.
that one I'm okay at. The next one they say is when you can't leave work stress at the door,
meaning you bring it home. Eddie? I mean, I have about two hours of where I can decompress
without them being there because my kids and my wife don't get home until about four. So I have that
time. But you don't get home till four. Three. I get there about three. And then I play about
I thought you're always here till three. Yeah. I'm working. Ray? Yeah. Eddie, you're funny,
man, you're funny.
But no, no, no, I'm good.
You don't have to worry about me.
Lunchbox?
I don't stress over work.
Zero stress.
I don't think I stress over it.
I just always am in it.
But maybe that is stress.
These are things that your wives or girlfriends find that will drive them crazy.
Fighting dirty, meaning if you get into an argument, you say things, you're like, oh, man, I wish I wouldn't have said that.
Yeah, I just am too competitive in every part of my life that I just want to win everything all the time.
It doesn't matter what it is.
A game on the show, a disagreement.
I probably could do better at this.
Yeah, probably a lot better.
Yeah, yeah.
Anybody else?
I'll say the same.
I go low blow.
Oh, you do?
I go low blow.
That's the first thing you go for.
Like what?
You just go low blow or bring up something she did in the past.
She did in the past?
Yeah, because...
Let me write this down.
Yeah, yeah.
Just listen.
Go ahead.
So you're in this argument, and maybe if you're going to lose this argument,
maybe she has a point, you're like, dang, you go, well, you did this.
Remember two weeks ago?
And it's something, you just bring up an old argument.
Like, see, you do things wrong too.
And take the whole focus.
off that argument and then she gets mad that you went back
to the past. We'll focus off argument.
Don't write that down. No, no, I'm going to use this.
No, that's good. It's if that works. Hit her with, like,
what she's most insecure about, stuff like that. Yeah,
I get some. All right, the final one
is, do you ever compare
her to other women? Oh!
Yeah. Don't do that. I would never do that.
How do you not? I would never do that, yeah.
No. What do you
say, lunch? Well, it's just easy.
It's sort of like, oh, you don't see her doing
this or, you know, you don't see her eating that,
or you don't see her? What are like, Sally wears a
thong.
Yep.
What?
I don't know that I've ever met a Sally that I want to wear a thong.
Yeah.
Sally Jesse Raphael.
That's it.
Ooh.
Sally Fields.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's only two sallies I know.
Comparing your wife to other women, Ray, ever, for any reason?
No.
My wife's been throwing these women out there, like movie stars and stuff.
And I'm just like, nah, not into that.
Same.
Yeah.
Why?
What do you mean?
You're not.
I'm like this.
I'm like this.
Stop.
Duh.
So, those are the things that we do that drives them crazy.
And we got to stop.
doing it. Compared to other women, fighting dirty, not leaving stress at the door, not complimenting
her enough, not balancing well. And then we try to fix problems, not doorknobs, but like emotional.
Yeah, that's her deal. That's her deal. When she has an emotional problem, solve it. Like,
she doesn't solve my emotional problems, because guess what? I ain't got any. Good point.
Why don't you? What does her to get emotional about? Everybody does. You know, anger's an emotion,
right? I don't have anger. Okay. I have annoyance. My people like you.
All right. Thank you. The more you know.
A couple weeks ago, we got a guy call and talk about what Morgan recommended, which are those shoes.
What are they called?
Uphos.
And so if you have like hurt feet or old feet, both?
Yeah, they're just like recovery shoes.
If you have like, if you have plant officiitis, it's really good for that.
So this guy named Sean from San Francisco calls us.
Just got done listening to Morgan on a product that she recommends.
She talked about Ufos.
Definitely recommend them.
actually use them in the NFL, and a lot of colleges use them, such as Stanford and Cal,
for recovery base.
So, yeah, just wanted to chime in a little bit.
Highly recommend them.
And just love the show and keep doing what you doing.
So then we started going, he plays the NFL.
He's a general manager.
Yeah.
We had all these theories on who he was.
So he called us back.
Do you want to hear what he does?
Yes.
Come on.
Okay, hear us Sean from San Francisco.
What happened to Bobby Bone?
I just wanted to let you guys know.
I am not an NFL player, unfortunately.
However, I am an equipment manager.
Go ahead. Give me a call back if you want to chat.
Maybe we get some tickets going.
For who? What team?
Probably for the 49.
Yeah, San Francisco.
Wow. It's awesome.
I mean, he's over all that stuff.
That's awesome.
We're not going to hitch up for tickets unless we come to town, but we appreciate that call.
But you can mail us some gear.
Anyway, moving on.
The Babbel show.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Bobby, how many sports did you play in high school?
Played football.
I played baseball.
at times, depending on the year,
our head football coach made us run track.
If you played football, you're forced to run track.
So I guess I played that.
And I only ran the mile and then the 400,
which is one lap of the mile.
Oh, miserable.
Quizville.
That didn't count.
Well, exercising the mind.
Okay.
Why do you ask?
The sport of the mind.
Well, researchers are reporting that focusing solely on one sport
puts high school athletes at risk for injuries and burnout
because if you're doing baseball, you're moving,
those same body parts over and over, same thing with football.
And, you know, to transfer this to adults, because some of us aren't playing high school sports,
like if you just do the same workout all the time and don't switch it up, you're putting your
body at risk for injury.
The counter to that, if you have a kid is, if you keep them in the same sport forever,
they actually get a lot better at it and can actually, you know, try to do something outside
of it.
But I'm on the, listen, I don't have kids.
But I know that if I would have just stayed in one sport, I probably went pro.
Oh, for sure.
If I'd just focus on playing baseball, I'd probably be pro by no.
Yeah.
Did you know I just now learned how to run?
What do you mean?
Like in the past three months.
But what do you mean learn how to run?
Like with your core tight and your shoulders back?
Well, no, that's the easy stuff.
But I learned how to run.
I've been working out with a running coach and he's like, well, if you do this by my feet, I'm like double time now.
I'm like, boom.
Now you're really fast.
He's like, all you got to do is run like this.
And he's like, oh, I think you've been missing out the last 20 years.
I was like, dang it.
What is this training for?
They're just trained to live.
I feel like you're training for like the end of the world.
Who knows?
Like Bobby's going to run. He's going to be, he's deadlifting.
A pocket of let's come. I know how to run a little faster now from those zombies.
All right, what else?
A survey was done on delivery drivers, and I have some things they've admitted to.
Oh, no. This kind of stuff freaks me out.
All right, go ahead.
Well, this one doesn't really affect us, but I'm surprised that there's not like cameras in delivery truck, you know, the back part.
Uber cars?
I don't know, because like...
That would cost so much. I don't think they could do that.
A fourth of drivers admit to hooking up in the back with the package.
Oh, you need Amazon.
I thought you meant like food delivery.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Get a dawn back there.
Who cares?
My packages are safe.
Who cares?
But they didn't specify if it's like someone that they know
or maybe someone they've delivered packages too.
Okay.
Hey, otherwise good with me.
Intentionally damaging packages,
marking a package as delivered when it wasn't.
Opening packages just to take a look and then resealing them.
It ain't just take a look.
If you like what they take a look at,
then they'd probably take what they take a look at.
Peeing in bottles in the truck,
which makes sense if you got to go to the bathroom.
but then they also admit to peeing around the side of people's houses.
I felt all that.
If you got to go, you got to go.
And if they're working you hard, you pee anywhere you can.
Thomas Rett is set to kick off his Bring the Bar to You Tour next month.
And I guess we can be sure that he's going to be ready.
Because when it comes to rehearsing for tour, he said he does it a lot.
And that at times he feels like his band wants to kill him for the amount of time that they rehearse.
I've done so many cold starts to tours, especially in my early days, that I never wanted to experience that.
when I became a headliner.
We run the show so many times to the point of we can play it in our sleep so that when we get
to that first city, that city doesn't have to suffer our rust.
I kind of like a rusty show from the beginning of tour, honestly.
I like to see it, I like to see mess ups by pros.
Not a lot, but a couple.
But if you guys wonder why this show runs so perfectly, we've done it seven times by now.
Oh, yeah.
We've done this segment already seven times, and that's why it sounds so good.
And in the last couple stories, Amy did, there were no mess ups at all.
You imagine.
so perfectly. Yeah. I think it's obvious to people we don't rehearse.
Thomas Rutt's tour kicks up. There you go. Thomas Rett's. Yeah, go ahead.
June 17th in New Hampshire, so you can hit up Thomas Rett.com for tickets.
All right, there you go.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Hey home, it's something good.
Every year, a trucker convoy raises money for the Make a Wish Foundation the last two years.
shut it down. Well, they're back and bigger than ever this year, and they have a carnival,
they have a fundraiser, a raffle, and they raised $379,000 driving through Pennsylvania.
Hump, hump, hump. That much? I thought you were going to say, like, 10 grand. I was going to be
like, wow, good for them. They're back. Almost a half a million bucks. Dang. Did you do, who sat in
when we did Bobby Fest? Ray, you sat in the dunk booth, right?
Yep. Boy, the dunk booth's a good thing for a carnival.
That makes money.
If you have someone that people, they don't have to hate them.
Yeah, just dislike a little bit.
No, no.
They just think it would be funny to see them punished.
Yeah.
So you don't even have to dislike them.
Like Mr. Bellding.
Remember that?
Yeah, in the ducting.
Oh, on the show.
I thought you know when he was hanging out with us.
Oh, and saved by the Bell.
Yeah, Ray got on the dunk take, and then he started like harassing people from the dunk tank.
And then he got a little too personal.
Calling people ugly?
Then it was like, yeah, it got a little.
But anyway, great story, lunchbox.
That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
All right, a listener of Morning Corny leads us off.
I have a Morning Corny.
Someone glued my pack of cards together.
It was hard to deal with.
Bye.
Funny.
That's good.
That's good.
All right, over to Amy.
Let's go.
The Morning Corny.
Why are spiders so smart?
Why are spiders so smart?
They can find everything on the web.
It's pretty good
I'm in spider web
Right up
That was the morning corny
Okay Amy
What happened
A listener came up to me
And said
Hey I know y'all like to talk about certain things on the show
So I thought I'd share with you my story
Of how my boyfriend proposed to me
Okay
He was planning on buying a ring
But then he found one in a parking lot
Oh not like his grandmas or
Yeah no
Straight up found a ring in the parking lot
had it appraise. Like she said, it's a solid ring. But that's what he used to propose.
Didn't run it by her. But I mean, he couldn't find the owner.
Did he look? Yeah. I mean, she didn't make it seem like it was shady, but he thought that that was his
like, whoa, this is crazy. Also, like his sign to like propose. So she said, I don't know,
I just thought I'd tell you about it because maybe all could break it down on the show. She didn't
have a problem with it. She had, they're married now. Like, it's a whole thing. But she said,
this is how my boyfriend proposed to me at the time.
Well, the guy finds a ring.
Sees it as his sign.
And just straight up proposes.
It doesn't have to do anything with what she likes.
Right, no.
No.
Can't find the original owner.
Right.
That's a wild story.
Okay.
Let's go.
I'll go first.
Could he not sell the ring, get the money,
and then buy her something kind of what she liked?
That's where my mind goes.
goes, let's say you can't find the owner. Let's eliminate that. Like he is exhausted every avenue.
He gets it appraised and he's like, oh, it's a good ring. Instead of proposing with it, why not sell it,
get money and then buy her something based on her taste, not just something he found in the parking lot.
Yeah. That's where I would go with that. Lunchbox?
Listen, this guy is a genius. He's doing what's practical. Because Bobby, you think, oh, get it appraise
and then sell it. Guess what? You appraise it for 5,000? They're giving you 2,000.
You think they're going to appraise it for 5,000?
You're not getting what the value of the ring is if you try to sell it.
Jewelry is like a car.
You drive it off the lot.
The price plummet.
That's not actually true.
Well, in my story it is.
But it's not actually true.
But go ahead.
Anyway, never left facts getting the way of a good story, right?
All right, go ahead.
This guy finds a ring.
So instead of going into debt, into taking out a credit card, and to get engaged,
he found a ring.
He proposed with his love and said, this is the ring I want you to have to be my forever.
what is wrong with that? Then you have money
to buy a house, go on a honeymoon?
Like, he did what is so sensible.
This guy is a genius.
And she is shallow.
No, she's not shallow. She said yes.
Oh, she's attacking her.
And she's got a problem with it.
To be clear, and she's not wrong.
She's like, I thought y'all would have,
I want to hear y'all's thoughts on it.
So if y'all could discuss this,
that's why she came up to me to tell me this story.
I would think he should have sold the ring and they spent that.
If he didn't have any money, just spent that money on a ring for her.
Would she be mad?
if he found a $100 bill and took her to dinner with it?
Oh, she'd be okay with that, wouldn't she?
Whoa!
Well, you go to dinner many times in your life,
and you don't have to wear that dinner on your ring
every day of your life.
Yeah, yeah.
No, not, okay.
That's not an argument.
Okay, Eddie?
Look, I don't think he's a genius.
I think he's a dumb guy like the rest of us.
We don't ever want to get married.
We're like, oh, you know, I don't know if I'm ready for marriage.
This was a sign.
He found the ring.
He's like, oh, this is amazing.
The ring's there.
I didn't even think about getting married.
married. Now it's leading me to
the way that I need to be, I need to put this on
my girl's finger and marry her.
I believe this is a sign and it's a beautiful story. Do you believe it's a sign?
Absolutely. So did it, did someone have to lose their ring for him
to get a sign? Hey, who knows? I don't deal with that part of it.
Amy? It's a gift from above. That's right.
Your thoughts? I don't think
I would propose with that ring. Yeah, I don't either.
I mean, yeah, and if anything,
if you can't find the owner,
like, yeah, you could sell it, but
then you always live with this. What if I could have done
more to find the owner and it just feels a little bit weird.
Like maybe you just find it, keep it, and maybe one day you hope to give it back to the
owner.
Does she like it?
Yeah, she didn't seem unhappy with it.
She just thought.
She wasn't cracking.
Maybe talk to her.
Yeah.
I mean, it was a simple ring.
It wasn't anything crazy.
But what if you're wearing the ring?
Because obviously the person lives near.
Maybe.
Maybe.
Or their vacation.
Someone sees it.
Yeah.
Like, that's my ring.
Man, rings look alike.
Or had someone recently.
robbed somewhere and they had a bunch of rings and they accidentally dropped the one and then now
it's being used for good. Well, let's go to Morgan. Morgan, you're our final vote here. Go ahead.
I mean, I would be mad. I'm putting it in perspective of me. And if a guy gave me a ring that he
found in a parking lot, I would be upset about it. It's not about the money. It's not about
the ring in the parking lot. It's that he didn't choose that for me. He just found a ring in a
parking lot and gave it to me. So yes, I would be fine if he sold that ring. And he sold that ring.
and then use whatever money he had with that to then get me a ring that.
To pick out a ring that you wanted.
It was meant for you.
That he saw.
It was like that looks like the ring she would wear.
All right.
Three to two, we win.
But now he gets to keep the money.
He doesn't have to spend that money.
Okay.
But there was no money.
Even if he sold a ring, there's no money if he just uses that.
It's a gift from God, guys.
No, it's not a gift from God.
But now that I'm thinking about it being a gift from God and it being a sign,
like then I'm annoyed that he didn't just know he wanted to marry me.
He needed a dramatic sign.
True.
Like, that's annoying.
That's the way we all think.
We're all stupid.
Hey, dumb guys.
Us ladies over here.
We all feel the same way.

Man, this is an awesome story.
So Pearl Jam, if you're not familiar,
but it's Eddie's favorite band.
If you're not familiar.
I know.
But still, there may be some of our younger audience
like Morgan.
Do you know Pearl Jam at all?
No, I don't think I can name one song.
Don't come.
me daughter
Rumpley Jeremy
No
God nothing
Okay, I'd like to

Here you go
You know
You know that's
Wors to say
Anything?
Never heard it
No
But if I go
Don't call me

No something
Nope still nothing
Okay how about
Can be a
Better man
Yeah you know that one
Maybe
Yeah I sing it terribly
But
Massive band in the 90s
Really

five to seven from that era.
And so their drummer gets COVID.
And so they play big arena shows.
And there was a teenager who actually knew how to play their stuff.
And they're like, hey, you're tapped in.
We need you to come play for us.
Which is awesome.
And so prior taking the stage, these kids, teenagers, not kids, but kid adults,
they had just seen Pearl Jam in Los Angeles.
And so they were like, he's sick.
You should like reach out and say you can play all the songs.
So he did.
He sent a text to Olivia Vedder, Eddie's daughter, who he had met two or three years ago at a music festival.
And they were like, well, let me ask my dad.
She asked her dad.
He's like, he was at school when he got the response.
And so they say, well, just send us a video of you drumming.
So we want to make sure that you're okay.
And so within an hour of him submitting the clip, they were like, okay, you're in.
Crazy.
I love it.
He played for tens of thousands of people.
Here's a clip of him.
Again, his name is Kai Nukerman's.
playing with Pearl Jam
This is in the arena go
So there he goes
Just did the show is awesome
I have goosebumps
I mean I honestly could care less about Pearl Jam
But this story's cool
From people
You didn't have to say that
Well I'm just saying like I'm not at like
I mean
She didn't have to say any of that
What she's saying is
This story is so interesting
Yes
Even if you don't give a crap about Pearl Jam
Right
Like I have
She didn't say that way
I'm the same way
Like who cares about Pearl Jam
My literal goosebumps
When I heard him
You know hit the
and then start it
because that is just like
I'm picturing all the people
and even the crowd sounds supportive
and it just sounds like a really really special
thing obviously that this kid is never
going to forget. And he's also a big fan because he went
to a show and going to shows. That's super
cool and I was sitting here thinking it during the break
and I was imagining all the scenarios
that I would like to play out where if somebody got
sick and they were like hosting the CMAs
or I've been a guest on like GMA a bunch of times
like everybody's gotten sick you got to go in and do the whole
show and I'm thinking wow
And then I get hit, right?
I hit myself in the head and I'm like, this has happened to me.
This has literally happened to me where I was on American Idol for four seasons.
And we're like eight minutes from the show.
And they're like, hey, Ryan's sick.
And I was like, oh, man, I'll get him a hug when I see him.
They're like, no, no, no.
Ryan Seacrest is sick.
He's never missed a show.
All right, cool.
What do you want me to do?
They're like, you know, you have to go host the show.
And I was just like, oh, cool.
I was like, I'm, I wasn't nervous because I'm like, I'm ready for this.
It's not my show.
It'll never be my show.
So with like eight, seven, six minutes left, they just had to show me stage direction.
I had to host the whole show.
You never got nervous?
There wasn't time.
Wow.
He had to react.
It was just, we got to go.
You have to learn this, this quick and on.
I think had they given me a night prior, I'd have been like, oh, boy, I don't want to screw this up.
Oh, yeah, overthought it.
But I wasn't nervous, not because I don't get nervous because I do, but because there's no time to get nervous.
I think it's probably when people get into a situation.
This is not that.
So don't think I'm saying it's a life or death situation.
But when they have to react because somebody is hurting or,
and they're like, they just go without thinking of what might happen
because they have to make sure what can happen will.
They got to fix somebody.
But yeah, it was awesome.
One up, I give himself a solid A minus.
They gave me some flowers at the end.
It was crazy.
And then afterward, I was like, wow, it was pretty cool.
There's only been three people to host that show.
Dunkleman, Seacrest, and the one time I did it.
Wow.
Dunkleman.
It was pretty good, though.
And I don't ever have moments where I just sit and go, this is cool.
I'm taking it in.
I'm enjoying it.
This is a cool.
But there was just one point where the big letters, American Idol were above the stage.
And I was like, dang, I'm hosting right now one of the biggest television franchises in the history of television.
And then that was it.
And then it never asked me to do it again.
The end.
End scene.
It's probably going to happen to this boy, too.
Like, this will never happen again to him.
Yes.
unless the drummer decides
I'm 60, I don't want to drum anymore.
He fills in forever.
Adam Lambert, a queen.
There's been a lot of these situations
with the older bands.
What about, isn't there that baseball player or something
that he got put in and then he took the other guy's spot?
I'd be scared about it was that drummer.
Well, the difference is,
the story you're talking about is the Yankees
and Wally Pipp gets hurt.
So Lou Geh, this kid named Lou Geary comes in
and fills in at first base
and then Wally Pipp never gets his job back.
and Lou Gehrig ends up being one of the greatest ever.
The Iron Horses, they would call him.
Yeah, you don't want to get Wally-Pipped.
That's right.
Great story, though.
Just love it for that kid.
And I don't know.
You get the call?
You got to make the most of it.
I don't know if you messed up.
If we just got the good clips.
No, I watched the whole clip.
He didn't mess up.
But the whole show, though.
Yeah, because the lead singer person was like,
I mean, the drummer leads everything.
He's like, you're not, you're leading the show.
So like, if the drummer's off, isn't everybody else going to off?
That's correct.
Eddie and I were doing the raging idiots in Tampa,
and we had to hire a new drummer,
and so we probably didn't have enough time with him.
And he somehow got communicated,
and he started playing the wrong song.
And he's going,
and I'm trying to go,
la la la.
And I'm like, oh boy.
So I get away from the microphone,
I go, Eddie, go talk to him.
He's like, fix this.
Yeah.
And so then I had to go into a stand-up routine.
Oh, what's a deal with peanuts, huh?
And so, but yeah, the drummer's very, very important.
But that's a great story.
My wife's put me on this song.
It's called New Boot Goofin.
And the guy's name is Ryan Charles.
And he's a cowboy.
He grew up in Wyoming.
And he represented Wyoming in that show America's song contest.
How he didn't win.
But this is basically the only song to go viral.
And it's about if you got new cowboy boots, how you just feel good.
So this is, you can play from the hook, right?
This is New Boot Goofin.
And so the only thing I know is New Boot Goof!
That's all you need to know.
But I can't stop singing it over and over again.
And he calls himself the Brad Paisley of hip hop or something like that.
Nice.
So my goal is to reach out and get him to come up on the show and perform.
I don't know how he'll do this in studio.
But if it's able to be done, it will be done.
Play it from the hook again, Ray, because I only know one part.
This one.
New boo goofing.
All right.
It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
Dallas, Georgia.
high school senior Elijah Jackson's on his way home from work around 1 a.m.
When an animal ran into the road and he lost control on a wet road, the car skidded off the road,
flipped into a ditch. The car burst into flames. Now from his home, there's a 15-year-old
named Damien Steele. He heard the accident because it was, boom, and he ran to see what
happened. He discovered that someone was still in the car. That person needed help. So what
does he do? Sprint's home grabs his 19-year-old brother and his brother's girlfriend, three teens,
they're now at the car, part of the car's burning, one reaches in and pulls the guy out
as the car starts to be in flames.
And so, taking the hospital, he's all good.
But had the kid not hurt it, also, I don't know if he's awake at 1 a.m.
15, you're probably awake at 1 a.m., huh?
Yeah, probably watching TV.
Not even partying, playing video games.
Yeah.
That's all I'm picturing.
He had to hear it, then kind of have the wherewithal to go exploring to see what happened,
and then ran back and got his brother, and they still pulled him out.
Brother and his girlfriend, they were probably making out.
Or asleep.
Making out them fellas, that's what I picture is.
We tell the story.
Yes.
That's an awesome story where this kid probably wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for those folks who heard that crash.
So good job, Steele's and girlfriend.
And Elijah Jackson, you're a very lucky person.
That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
All right, here we go.
Therapists really can help cut down on the nightmares that you experience.
We have more nightmares than usual when we're having issues related to work or
relationships in real life. People who are frustrated and confused during the day reported more
recurring nightmares. Also negative feelings or stressful experiences may lead to an increase in recurring
nightmares, but therapy is a great way to figure out your problems and eliminate built-up
frustrations, which are leading to night terrors. That is from studyfines.org. And we, and I have
a deal with better help, which I love therapy. It's been a life changer for me. And I think
yesterday, Eddie told us on the post show that he was sad, and so we're getting you hooked up
with better help.
Yeah.
Because I am telling you, listen, I'm going to take four steps back.
Where I grew up in Mountain Pine, Arkansas, population 700, there was no therapy.
We were trying to figure out how to get food on the table and eat three meals a day,
not go to some fancy brain wrangler, you know, because all the TV shows would be like,
oh, you're going to a shrink.
Oh, you're going to a shrink.
Oh, you could. And there was a stigma where I come from. However, I could not believe in it more. This is what happened with me. I got insurance for the first time. I was like, wait, so if I get sick, this is paid for? And they were like, well, mostly young men. And so I started looking at the things. And therapy was one of them. And I went and it changed my life because I would talk to someone who had absolutely no bias toward my situation, meaning they weren't invested. It wasn't they didn't care, but they didn't care what happened. It didn't affect this.
So they were giving their professional opinion based on education and is a life changer.
And I understand when I got jumped, got my house broken into, had a gun to my head, all within a short, you know, year or so span, therapy saved me because I was not sleeping.
Ever, I would just close my eyes in the middle of the day and I would see somebody with a gun coming up to my head.
So that was severe trauma type stuff, but also from like the, as Amy calls it, the little T type stuff, little traumas from life.
Therapy's awesome.
So this is not a commercial.
I just am such an advocate for making sure your mental health is taken care of.
You're going to do three sets of 12 curls on your arms, but you're not going to work on your mind, on your brain, on your mental health.
Like, it's the same.
And just because you come from a place like I come from where it is not a priority because we had other priorities like eating doesn't mean it's not as important.
So I'm here to share that with you.
And BetterHelp's awesome.
If you go to BetterHelp.com slash Bobby, 10% off your first month and you can do it from your phone, from your video, you can talk, you can turn your video off, whatever you need.
not a commercial, but just something that I'm very passionate about is making sure your mental health is good because then you can be present for other people.
Anything you'd like to add to that, Amy?
Yeah, I know.
I would just say, like, talking to friends and family is one thing, like just having anybody you can talk to.
But then that outside perspective is just truly a gift if it's something you are able to implement into your routine.
Because, yeah, again, like you said, it's a third party that's not invested and they're able to just give you a proper perspective.
And you may go, I can't afford it.
Right.
Get it.
But that's why a place like BetterHelp exists because it is actually a lot more affordable.
So there you go.
I will say that again.
That was not a commercial, just something that I'm proud to be associated with.
And I think would help a lot of folks, which even by the way, we're getting Eddie lined up.
We're going to have him.
He's going to come in and be fresh as a daisy.
Can't wait.
Well, and I saw, because Eddie was saying he was sad in the stress of like four kids.
And I did see an article just this morning about how if you're someone raising three or more kids,
it can lead to like you losing your mind.
There you go.
That's the headline of the article.
Looking forward to this therapy session.
One session doesn't fix it, Eddie.
It's not one session you're done.
Study says raising three or more children can make you literally lose your mind.
It's right here.
I'm feeling it.
Is that written by Eddie?
Did he submit that?
No, it's from the New York Post.
House Committee holds the first public UFO hearing in 50 years.
It's from Newsweek.
The truth is out there and a House Committee is hoping to find it.
The House Intelligence Committee's subcommittee
on counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and counter proliferation is holding an open congressional
hearing today, Tuesday to talk about UFOs, the first hearing in more than 50 years.
Here's the thing. We don't want to know. We think we want to know.
Yeah, we don't. But we don't want to know. Because if we do find out, we're going to flip our
crap. We're not prepared to handle the fact that something far more advanced than us can do
things to us that we couldn't even
think about because we don't have the
technology to one, do it
ourselves, or two, fight back.
We don't want to know.
They may be super friendly.
I doubt it.
Probably not.
If there's anything at all, we don't want to know.
We think we do.
I'm kind of interested. I hope so. I hope we'll find something.
But we don't want to know.
Okay, thank you.
Is Netflix going live? That's the question.
The video platform is exploring live
streaming for its unscripted shows and stand-up specials
with the option of live voting on programs like The Circle.
So it was only a matter of time until Netflix came a whole channel.
Like a real...
Yeah.
So now Netflix is exploring another new avenue, live streaming.
So Daily Mail has a story about how some of their shows, Love is Blind, or selling
Sunset.
How can you sell Sunset, though, live?
I just feel like that cannot be alive.
Are you just watching negotiations?
Because I'm telling you, I've been to some of those there, boring as crap.
Or a closing?
Oh, come on.
So there is that, which, by the way, I have no news on when my show will be going on Peacock or USA Network.
As soon as I'm getting a lot of messages, when does it happen?
I have no idea.
These aren't things that I know, but as soon as I do, I promise I'll tell you.
Here's another escape story.
A Louisiana juvenile escaped with a security officer, but they have been caught.
Lunchbox, this is kind of your beat.
Did you read this?
Yeah, so it was a 21-year-old female guard, and she got three teenagers out and they fled.
and they were caught in Houston, Texas in a hotel.
But a couple of them were charged with attempted murder or murder,
and they were facing all these charges.
And she got them out of jail and went on the run.
And they lasted, I mean, 24 hours.
They were found.
You think they saw the other one that were inspired by it?
That's what I think I'm like, she saw this in the news.
It's like, oh, my goodness.
Like, the fact that it happened like a week after,
she's like, we can run away.
And these guys are my friends.
And I'm cool to these guys.
And, I mean, there was like two 17-year-olds and a 15-year-old with a 21-year-old woman.
Now she's going to go to prison.
That's from the New York Post.
That is...
Yeah, that is scary because other people see it and go ahead.
We can probably get away with it.
But their story ended up good, though.
That's the thing.
The story, the original story of the inmate, the woman.
Alabama.
Yeah, she died and he's back in jail.
Right.
So it's like, it's not Shawshank Redemption where they just get away.
And they had at least $95,000 in cash.
What does this 21-year-old woman have?
Like a third of a bit of a bit of bucks?
Yeah, I don't know.
Finally, we got a couple more.
the top partying injuries.
Uh-oh.
Back cramps from not sleeping properly.
Bruises.
Being packed in house parties and running into bushes and curbs.
Yeah.
Small cuts.
When we drink, parts of our body become numb to tables and corners and sharp edges.
Broken bones.
Sprained ankles, especially if we're wearing heels for the ladies.
Concussion.
That's from Bro Bible.
but Steve, our executive producer, Scooba Steve, said,
you like cracked something in your foot at a house party once?
Yeah, it was stupid.
I was battle dancing.
Hold on you a what?
I was battle dancing.
That's a thing?
Yeah, it's a thing.
Is that like where you go?
Challenge.
What year was this?
Is this 1927?
Do you have a top hat?
Had it been in the 90s.
Yeah, see, it was definitely the early 2000s.
Battle dancing, this guy's daughter.
She was a really good dancer, and I just was feeling it with all the drinking
I had been doing, and I think I did a pretty good job until I was dancing, and then I
rolled on my foot, and I broke my fifth metatarsal, which I didn't realize for weeks.
I walked on it.
I just numb the pain with drinking, and then I went to the doctor, and they told me, yeah,
you split the bone, you need to get surgery on that.
I'm just so intrigued by battle dancing.
I thought it would be the injury that really hooked me, but it's the battle dancing.
Or do you take turns?
Yeah, like, she goes, I go, and then I won up her, and she one ups me, and everyone's
like cheering on.
So, like, we see this in movies.
like where people circle around.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We did in real life in my wife's living room.
And this was like a 10-year-old because you said with someone's daughter?
Yeah, she was eight, yeah.
Oh, my God.
God, she was never experienced.
Hold on, hold on, hold on, let me stop.
She literally was eight?
She was eight.
Fantastic dancer.
But you said at a house party.
Yes, at a house party.
Why is an eight-year-old?
The story just gets weird and weirdness.
Why is an eight-year-old at a house party?
My wife is Filipino in their culture, even though we have house parties.
It's a big party with, like, family and cousins and all that kind of stuff.
mostly adults, but there were some kids there,
and one of them was this kid's daughter.
And you felt the need
to dominate an 8-year-old in anything.
And dancing in particular, I just was really
drunk, and I had a couple drinks. It was like one of those
Ray moments where you drink a lot and you don't realize
what you're doing, but you're doing it. Even though it's an 8-year-old?
She was dancing like a 20-year-old.
I don't like to hear that. I don't like to hear that. I don't like to hear that.
And that's your creepy statement
here on the Bobby Bone Show.
Wait, wait.
Do you remember what song y'all battled to?
It was very like Hafey Bay Area type music,
like E-40, like hip-hop type music.
Not the kind of dancing
you're thinking of. It's like really like battle dancing.
Like break dancing, yeah.
You mean like battle dancing? We don't know what that means.
I'm trying to figure out what moves you were doing.
Okay, thank you, Scoob, Steve.
Very welcome.
The creepy segment of the day.
What in the world just happened?
A man who says he's been abducted by aliens 60 times,
shares what they look like.
Russ Kellett, a 58-year-old from North Yorkshire,
believes he spent the past 30 years as a super soldier
and what he claims to be a war between aliens and, well, other aliens,
pledging his allegiance to a race 15 foot tall at times.
He says, this war's been going on for years.
He said he's had some sort of tube pushed down his throat,
and whatever liquid they pumped into him,
he turned into one of their super soldiers.
Listen.
Prove he didn't.
Yeah, prove he didn't.
Can't a simple blood test figure that out?
A blood test?
Yeah, can't you just do a blood test?
Unless they know what our blood tests are looking for and can make sure.
It's like the steroid game, the performance-enhancing drug game is always ahead of testing for performance-enhancing drugs.
They know what the tests are going to be.
And we can do that.
All right.
Have you all heard about that couple from the 60s as a husband and wife that said they were abducted?
Not this one specifically.
Why?
Well, because the reason why people are starting to or have believed their story all these years is they never made a big deal about it for like to public.
a book or get in the news or
create this big story.
They told their core people
because they both experienced a bout
of amnesia where there was
a two-hour period where neither one of them can remember
anything and they had to go see the psychologist.
Did they battle dance?
They remember the same thing. And then he had these things
growing on like his
private area.
Oh no, okay. I think he hooked up with somebody else and now
he's got an excuse. Yeah.
We know it. He's like, I don't know.
There's a lot of little work.
like things, but it's an alien, honey?
You have them too?
She's like, I do.
Because he, yeah.
This one's easy to figure out.
No need to go to unsolved mysteries for this story.
I know.
I just heard that story yesterday.
And I was like, what?
Well, he really committed, huh?
He did.
He did her wrong, got some sort of disease, and just held onto it.
But how did they both have this period of time where they don't remember anything?
And they were taken up.
And then they both, when they shared their story with a psychiatrist,
like she had something
poked into her belly button and he had like
sperm extracted. Yeah, he went hard
on his cover. I've never heard of a cover
as hard as that. I don't know.
All right, finally, Black Mirror Returns.
My favorite show, it's the greatest show on Netflix.
They've started to cast again. It's been more than
five years since the show. I love it. It is crazy.
It's crazy. They've predicted stuff that's happened now.
Yeah. Yeah. That's from Variety.
And that is the news.
Those were Bobby's Day.
Stories.
Thank you. Calls.
77-77 Bobby.
If we can get James Ray to hold,
he has a great question that a lot of people wonder
about how when something like Lunchbox embarrassing the show
in front of Guy Fieri, after that happens,
how do we handle it off the air?
James, if you will hold, I will come to you next
and we'll take more calls as well.

Two people are arrested.
They're suspected of stealing 60 ATMs.
Oh my.
Yeah, police say,
we think we caught the culprits.
But boy, that is,
you have to have some knowledge about ATMs
to steal an ATM, I think,
and get into an ATM.
I don't think you can just pull one out
and be like, we got it.
Free money.
You got to learn,
you got to know how to get into them
once.
I had a buddy.
And listen, I have all done
radio bits that have ended in trouble. I've been sued. Lunchbox's been put in jail.
So take it from me, someone who's also done really stupid things.
But he was doing a bit where he wanted to see if he rolled up to an ATM in a truck and
throw a rope over the back of it and act like he was trying to steal it.
And to find out what? How long it took cops to get there?
I don't know. It was like lunchbox and I did where he went to jail. We were like, we were just
seeing what would happen if he walked into it. Oh my God.
So what happened?
So I'm not sure if he did it.
I stopped listening because I did not want to be someone that knew about that.
And then he'd get in trouble.
I mean, that is hysterical.
That's from Cairo 7.
So both men have had several felony convictions on their records.
They, again, stole a whole bunch of ATMs.
So there's that.
How many you need?
I mean, 30 should be good, right?
That's a lot of money.
Five? Yeah.
Two?
James in Arkansas's on.
Now, this is what I was talking about before the break.
Hey, James, thank you for Carl.
into the show. What is your question?
Yes. Good morning, Bobby.
Morning.
Morning.
My question is
whenever lunchbox
interviews someone like Gawari
and
he does something to embarrass
the show, do you
go behind him and
call and
apologize or anything like that
to whoever he's talking to?
And that'd be good of me to do, huh?
I guess I don't. A little damage
control.
Well, I don't know how to get a hold of Guy Fieri, how do you say his name.
I tried to say it right.
I just go with Guy Fiorari.
That sounds weird.
I don't know him well enough.
I don't know him at all.
I guess I met him a couple times, but I would have loved to just text him and be like, sorry about that.
I've probably texted a couple people, sorry about that, but that's it.
But sometimes it's for things I've said, too.
So not just lunchbox, but yeah, some of that stuff lunch does is pretty cringy.
The guy Fierreone, you got to admit, that's brutal.
I still don't think.
It was that brutal.
You just yelled at him over and over again from across the room?
Yeah, I did.
And I tried to get him to say we were friends.
He was just like low-key trying to alert his security to get into you.
And I don't understand why this guy says he would go behind my back and say,
apologize to him.
Why would you apologize to him?
They're just humans.
Well, because he obvious.
I wasn't rude to the guy.
You were very rude to him.
Yeah, yeah.
He was trying to work.
You thought I was rude to Guy Fietti?
It wasn't like direct rude, but it was sort of just disrespectful in a way.
To the event.
Yeah.
It's funny.
Yeah.
So I was torn.
Really funny.
So I was just like, it's funny.
I didn't even think of rude.
That never crossed my mind.
I have what they say are the worst tourist attractions, meaning they exist.
We read about them, we talk about them, we go see them, and then we complain because we were like, well, that wasn't actually quite as cool as I thought.
Cool.
So I have the list, and I don't want to be sacrilegious to our listeners in San Antonio, but I definitely thought the Alamo was going to be bigger.
Yeah.
Well, that was your problem when I went, because you thought it'd be bigger.
Yeah, all this is probably our problem.
But the first time you saw it was as an adult.
Yeah, because we saw it as kids.
I never went to San Antonio until I was.
Right, as a kid, you think, oh, wow, it's big.
But when you get older, it's like, us Texans, we saw it as kids.
Yeah, man, so back off, all right?
But I'm telling you, when I went into it, I was like, it's like my apartment in college.
Yeah.
And the story's crazy.
Yeah.
Everything, but I just thought it would be bigger because of Peewee Herman.
Yeah.
Because that's what I saw as a kid.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I thought the bite, you know.
Here we go.
Number 10, Buckingham Palace.
I've seen it.
I thought I was fine.
Did you get close up?
No.
I was outside the fence,
and it was like driving down to a part of town
where all the rich people live.
What is that?
Big houses.
You're like, wow, I wonder what they do.
It's where the queen lives.
Oh, any one.
It's fine.
But the guards, they can't blink.
They have to blink.
They have to blink.
It was like the guards.
They can't blink.
I don't know.
They have to blink.
I thought it was that they're not supposed to blink.
I don't think it's smile or talk.
Okay, maybe it's smile.
How can they not blink?
Yeah, maybe it's impossible.
The pyramids of Giza?
Giza.
Never been.
I don't know.
Where is that?
That's too far for me.
Man, what's crazy about that is it's like in the middle of the city.
So you would think you see pictures of it and you're like, oh, that looks in the middle of the desert.
So is the Alamo?
You've been?
No, no, just when you look at pictures.
Oh, yeah.
I started to believe Eddie.
I was like, wow.
Me too.
The Empire State Building.
It's just now there are a lot bigger buildings.
And I'm going up there to work.
Yeah.
And it's like even going on top, you're like, this is tall?
But haven't those seven other ones around us that are taller?
I can't look past that one.
So people are at this point.
The leaning tower of Pisa, I'd never seen it.
I don't know.
The White House.
That's pretty cool.
It's small, though.
It's smaller than you think.
Small.
First time I ever went.
I was like, what in the world?
I was expecting just to take up two city blocks.
And it's just like, huh.
It fits right in my camera, no problem.
It's cool to see, but it's small.
And people I know that have been in or even stayed there, they're like, it's crappy.
Like inside of it.
It's old.
Yeah, like it's old and it's crappy.
There you go.
Big Ben, the big clock in London, overrated.
A lot of London places there.
The Hollywood sign in California, overrated.
Oh, I think that's so cool.
You can't get to it.
So you can see it, though, and it's really cool to see it.
It's fine.
I mean, but don't you always look for it when you're in L.A.?
You're like, where is it?
Where is it?
Oh, there it is. That's so cool.
Stonehenge at three.
Never seen it.
I don't know that I think that was overrated because you know aliens did that.
Where is that?
I don't know.
It's in somewhere in one of those countries.
I never did too.
The Palace of Versailles?
No idea where that is.
Anybody know?
Versaqi?
Versailles?
How about Spain?
I don't know.
France.
I never been.
I have a French minor.
I never been.
Everybody in the class basically went to France.
They're like, where he loves?
Versa.
I was like I got to work, guys.
That used to be a, when I sold.
granite and tile back in the day.
We had the Versailles pattern.
And what was that pattern?
I don't even remember.
Probably marble, huh?
Stupid.
Stupid and overpriced.
And then finally, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is the biggest piece of dog crap I've ever seen.
Because it's just old sidewalk.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
And it's covered in spit and gum, and it's in, like, the worst touristy part of Los Angeles.
And they kind of let anyone be part of that, too, because you walk over and you're like,
I don't know who that is.
Well, some of them are really old, and it's like directors.
Okay.
Well, no, they don't let anyone be a part of that.
I'm just saying, like, you expect like, oh, Tom Hanks, I see it.
What an honor, I think.
Yeah, that would be suit.
Not any, you should take that back.
Like, who's Jim Fever?
I'm offended for Jim Fever, yes.
Who worked hard to be there.
That's from my London.
But mostly, I feel like if something's hyped up,
it almost can't live up to the expectation, regardless.
Except for the Grand Canyon.
See, I haven't been there yet, but I want to.
Is it going to live up to it?
It's crazy.
It's wide.
It doesn't matter what your thought of it is.
You get there and you're like, holy moly.
I guess that's the opposite of the Alamo, huh?
It's like, wow, I didn't know it was going to be this big.
I mean, it's even called the Grand Canyon.
It's still grander.
They should call it the Grander Canyon.
It's wild.
It's long.
It's big.
It's, I mean, and I hung over that thing.
Oh.
It's, it's awful.
And sometimes there's not guard rolls on a lot of it, too.
You can literally walk over the edge and die.
So you were above it?
Did you ever go down in it?
We were like, I was like 4,000 feet on a rope.
Hang above it.
My goal was not to end up on the bottom.
That's a tough one.
All right, next segment, there is a fancy guy from Harvard who's a nutritionist.
He's also a brain expert.
He says, you've got to avoid these types of foods because if you do,
they will make you tired and stress more than other kinds of foods, like your brain,
with what it does to your brain.
So we'll do that.
And then we'll talk about tipping.
If you're buying food, if you're eating food, you've taken out food,
how most people feel about it.
And we'll go through some calls as well.
So hit us up.
77-77 Bobby. We'll be right back.
I'm going to go over and talk to Kelly, who lives in Colorado Springs.
Hey, Kelly, good morning. What's going on with you?
Hey, studio. Good morning.
What's happening?
Well, I wanted to ask. I've been wondering this for a while.
My son and I listened to your show on the way into me dropping him off for middle school every day.
And we were curious, what do you guys think is the most romantic song of the
all time. I would love to know what each of you think of that.
Are you saying most romantic does it need to be in country or can it be any song whatsoever?
We lose her? Kelly?
No, I'm here. I'm here.
Okay. Any country or any genre whatsoever?
Oh, any genre whatsoever. I'm just curious what your favorite.
Yeah, well, let's start with you, Kelly. What do you got? We keep losing her.
All right, well, I'll just take it from here. Okay, here are the songs that I think of the most romantic songs of all time.
I'm going to go beach boys
God only know
I'm going to go God only knows
Beautiful
God only knows what I'd be without you
Old old old but man
It's two and a half minutes
Of just perfect
Romance and how sad he'd be
God only knows what I'd be without you
That's awesome
Yeah but he starts by saying like
I may not always love you
Well she might die
Yeah
Okay
I mean that's George Jones too
You know
But yeah
I may not always love you
As long as there are stars above you
Yeah, that's good
Oh, that's a good one
Oh, she's still there.
She's back!
Yeah!
All right, so I'm going to go
God only knows from the Beach Boys
And then I'm going to go
And then I'll get to a couple country ones
And I'm going to go, I'll stand by you
Which won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you
That's good
I'll stand by you
That is a lovely song
Passionate, that's a good one.
I'm going to go Willie Nelson
Always on my mind
It's another one that kind of starts with
I mean, I don't know
I maybe didn't say all the things I should have said
But that's him saying I've done some things wrong
I get it, I'm just sensing a little pattern here
It's all these dudes have screwed up
If I'd write love songs because they suck
And then I'm going to go with the chicks
Cowboy Take Me Away
Just consistently
like just pure love take me I trust we love I don't know that one that one I don't even want a cowboy to grab me and take me away but like I understand the feeling
so yes those would be the four that I'm coming to my mind with Amy I mean things that pop into my head are
like old school um is it rock set like nothing compares to you no that's Chened O'Connor it is
Yeah, another comparison to you.
Prince sang it first.
What's the rock set one?
Maybe rock sand?
It must have been love.
But it's over now.
Yeah, yeah.
That's a bro.
I think nothing compares to you as a good one.
Okay, then that's the one that's in my head.
And then if I think of like George Stray, because he is my everything, it's like carrying your love with me, something like that.
All right, Kelly, there you have it.
I think.
I'm in love with me.
Oh, she's singing.
I like it.
You quick sing.
Yeah, yeah.
Go ahead.
Okay.
So, first of all, the one that I would pay.
is because my husband and I were going to a really rough path,
like almost divorced all those fun things.
And we moved to Colorado Springs,
and I bought tickets to the Drew and Ellie Holcomb show
that was up near Denver.
They have never come to Colorado before.
They haven't been since.
But I was like, dude, I'm going to this concert.
You can come with me if you want to.
And they played Fields of Gold.
And that was just like a beautiful bonding moment for us.
Sting, Philips.
of gold?
And there's had a fews of gold.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then, yes, Cowboy
Take Me Away because our
dream has always been to own our own ranch
and we actually bought it.
We are starting.
It's small, but we're getting started.
We bought it this February.
That's awesome.
Probably Take Me Away has been one that we've
thought about since high school, that we've loved
since high school.
And so now we're starting to live that.
He's been a cowboy forever.
and I have not been a cowgirl, but we're moving in that direction.
Well, that's pretty cool. Congratulations.
Yeah, appreciate the call.
Kind of off the cuff there.
And now, 80's on the ace.
It's the pretenders.
Grab that person you love.
Hold and tight, let them know.
No matter what crap happens, you're there with them.
94.1. The bone.
The bone.
Come on and come to me
Be ashamed to cry
Let me see you through
Because I've seen the dark side too
I'll fall
You don't know when by you
I'll stand
And that'd be such a great cover
If somebody did that and put it out now
It's probably a forgotten song
Should we do it?
No, we shouldn't
Somebody good should
I don't know that I've ever listened
To all the words
Yeah, it's pretty powerful
Powerful, yeah.
All right, that's what's up.
Let me say this.
We're going to do the brain stuff with what to eat and what not to eat.
We'll do it tomorrow.
Okay, good.
I want to hear this.
Yeah, well, that's another day of bad brain.
What's one more day?
That's right.
It's doing it up already anyway.
Great.
Bobby Bone Show.
Bonehead.
Story up the day.
This story comes to us from England.
For a little over a year now, police have been tracking some dealers, but they couldn't
figure out who they were because they were using encrypted messages on this app.
Had no idea.
They had code names.
They couldn't figure it out.
Then one guy decides, hey, I'm going to send a selfie to the group.
No way.
Hilarious.
So he sends a selfie of himself on the encrypted messages.
Boom, they got him.
Then they got all his associates.
And they got six people in all, and they're looking at 40 years in prison.
Wow.
Why do they feel the need to take a cell?
What was he showing off?
No, it was just him.
Just a smile like his face.
He wasn't like a Disney World or anything?
No.
Not showing his stash.
Like, look at my new look.
Just his face.
That's crazy.
Lenny.
All right.
I'm lunchbox.
That's your bonehead story
the day.
Okay, it's time for the good news countdown.
It's the good news countdown.
Counting down the biggest good news stories across the lab.
Let's go three to one.
A guy named Bobby Chennell recently had a heart transplant.
He got through it.
Congratulations.
And he was recovering.
Then he met a woman across the hall named Faith
who had a double lung transplant.
And so while they're recovering,
they start talking and being friends.
and now they're dating and now they're in love.
Wow.
You got a new heart.
She got a new lung.
They're letting it rip.
Hey, that heart's working.
Okay.
Number two.
A guy in North Carolina named Jonathan Ruby is obsessed with pie.
Do you know what pie is, Amy?
Like pie that you eat?
No, the math term.
Oh.
So do you know what pie the number is?
Yeah, 3.14.
Nice.
Would you guys have known that?
No, I said 3.12 in my head.
Are you sure?
You didn't just...
All right.
I said 1-2 in my head.
but I got it wrong.
In my head, I just recited the whole Constitution.
Yeah, it's pretty cool we can do it in our head.
That's impressive.
Thank you.
And it paid off big time after he used the numbers for a lottery ticket
won $193,000.
Wow.
The first five digits of pie are 3.1415.
His lottery numbers were 31415, 3141.
That's crazy.
If you'd have played your version of Pie Lunch, why'd you'd have lost?
Number one.
Wiley College in East Texas had its graduation ceremony on Saturday.
And near the end, the school's president,
announced that every graduate student's loan had been paid off.
An anonymous donor put up about $300,000 to make it happen.
Here's the moment that the students got the news.
Their debt was gone.
We had an anonymous donor come in and say we'd like to know how can we help.
We gave them a number.
And they gave us a number back.
And you are debt free.
You do not owe the college a penny.
If you have a balance, you had a balance.
That's a cool line too.
That's a cool line too.
I got to shout him out.
You have a balance.
You had that's awesome.
And then I'd have been like, dang, why don't I run up a balance?
I could have like, like not alone.
Yeah, yeah.
I've been like, I've got a little something.
That was the good news countdown.
We'll see you tomorrow.
Bye, everybody.
Bobby Bowles.
