Starting point is 00:02:17 Hopefully you got at least a day off. We are back. We are ready. We're excited. Morning studio. Morning. It's summertime now officially, right? Oh, yes. I mean, I just feel any different, but it is summertime. And so with summer, all the big blockbusters are coming out.
Starting point is 00:02:31 That what's the airplane movie call? Tom Gunn came out. The airplane movie. I didn't give a crap. Whatever. Tom Cruz is weird to me It's hard for me to like any Tom Cruise movie Yeah, you have to block that out for Top Gun
Starting point is 00:02:44 I probably will But I did not watch it But my idea is our movie guy And so Mike, tell everybody what you bought for the summer It's a summer pass to a movie theater subscription So that means what? 20 bucks a month I can go see as many movies as I want Oh, not bad
Starting point is 00:03:00 That's awesome That saves so much money It's so expensive and he loves going How many movies you go into in a month? I probably go to like four You get popcorn or anything with that? No, just a straight movie. How much does it cost for a movie ticket now?
Starting point is 00:03:12 Probably like 13, 14 bucks. So if you go to two, you made your money back. Yeah, easy. You're going to go to two movies a month? Easily. You're a movie podcast. He's movie Mike. Yeah, I guess.
Starting point is 00:03:21 But you'd have probably done that anyway. Yeah, I would have. He knows he's not off for the summer, right? Like, we still work. It's not like school. I think he does this anyway. Oh, yeah, you know where... It's not summer vacation.
Starting point is 00:03:31 So you have your list of what? Top five movies I'm anticipating this summer. Are they all Blockbuster? Yes, big movies. All right, number five, Mike D. Jurassic World Dominion. It's the final in this trilogy, but all the original people from the first one are coming back.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Dominion? Yeah. What's that mean? It's just the name of the movie. So all the people, like, is Goldblum going to be there? Yeah, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neal, and Lord Dern. I just had never cared. I saw the first one.
Starting point is 00:03:56 I thought it was fine back in the day, but I just haven't watched any of the other ones. They're good. They're fun. Really? Yeah. I don't like care enough. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Next one. Lightyear. Is that buzz? It's, yeah, it's like the original story of how the real person who inspired the toy. The real, there's a human? Yeah, well, it's a cartoon. Yeah, it's a cartoon, so it's a fictional person, but he would have been, this would have been the movie that Andy would have seen that would have inspired him to buy the Buzz Light Your Toy. Okay, number three.
Starting point is 00:04:22 It is Elvis. Oh, yeah, that one out ago, see. It's so good. I've been seeing great reviews about it. Like, some of his family have said that they really kind of captured who he was. Apparently, I got a 10-minute standing ovation at the end of some film festival, but every year it's like, they stood up. Up for eight minutes, 72 minutes. I think they just do that crap.
Starting point is 00:04:39 See how long they can stand up. Yeah, I think it's like, all right. Everybody stand up. Let's just clap to we're tired. That looks good. Yeah, that comes out on June 24th. Is it on streaming services at all or just theaters? These are all theaters.
Starting point is 00:04:49 I've got to give me a subscription, dang it. All right, number two? It is a movie called Nope from Director Jordan Peel. He did Us. Nope. Nope. As in no, but nope. Yeah, nope.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Scary? Yeah, it's like a modern horror movie. He's the guy who did Get Out and Us. I liked his movies, and I don't like, great movies, but I like those two. Yeah, they're like psychological thrillers. So this is the kind of horror movie I'm really into right now, and this is looking like it to be really good.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Ask me if I want to watch the theater. You're watching a theater? Nope. Okay. Nope. What's it about, though? Do you know? It's about basically aliens coming down and taking over, like, this California ranch.
Starting point is 00:05:24 That is about every girl that I asked to date ages 15 to 26. It's not that? Not that. Okay. So aliens come down at a ranch? Yeah. I like that. It comes out on July 22nd.
Starting point is 00:05:34 All right. And the number one. movie movie mics anticipating this summer well marvel movies are my favorite and thor love and dunder comes out on july 8th and i think this is going to be one of the best marvel movies probably in the last five years thor i'm kind of lukewarm on the character i think he's very underrated i like the first one pretty good i kind of got bored with him i liked fat thor oh yeah that was funny fat thor's awesome they should do that movie that lazy thor yeah fat thor on coming at your august third so he's not fat thor anymore
Starting point is 00:06:06 He gets ripped up for this one. He's ripped up for all of them. But I mean, like, in the movie, you see him go from that transformation from Fat Thor. Oh, he has Fat Thor in the movie. Yeah, he starts his fat. I'm in. Sign me up. I'll leave when he's normal, but I'm in for the first fat part. All right, Mike, appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:06:19 Yeah. There he is. Movie Mike, and you check out Movie Mike's podcast, which is called Movie Mike's Movie Podcast. That is it. That is it. All right, Mike, appreciate that. What's up, everybody? I hope you had some time off.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Hope you had a nice three-day weekend. It's now time to go over and open the mailbag. Send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. I have a question. Would you let your teenagers play beer pong if the cups were filled with water?
Starting point is 00:06:50 I'm asking because I did so and posted a picture of it on Facebook, and now everyone's either laughing about it or telling me I'm setting a bad example for my kids. This weekend I was trying to keep them occupied. Thought it'd be fun. They had a great time. They loved it. They didn't even know it was a drinking game. So was I wrong, or was I right?
Starting point is 00:07:06 to let them play beer pong, but with water, signed Pong and Dad. Okay, Eddie, you're laughing hard, go ahead. Yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. You know, as long as they're not drinking or, I mean, it's just a drinking game, but it's also just a game. I play quarters with my kids, you know, where you slide the shot glass and then you try to bounce the quarter on the table. Yeah. They love it. But we're not drinking if you make it.
Starting point is 00:07:27 That's funny using shot glasses, though. Totally. That's even more elevated than this. I agree. Yeah. But here's the thing, though, if they did make the quarter or whatever, and I was like, Oh, take the cranberry juice. Shoot, shoot, shoot.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Did you make him shoot? No, that would be wrong. Why would that be wrong? That'd be hilarious. Because then I'm teaching them the drinking game. Right. Well, I'm not even saying that's wrong. That would just be, again, even elevated more.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Yes. Otherwise, listen, to Pong Dad, you're just playing a bouncy ball game with cups of water. Water pong. Correct. It's it. The bouncy ball game's been happening forever. Bozo has a grand prize game. Bouncy, there's also Pong.
Starting point is 00:08:03 You're doing nothing wrong. If there was beer in one of the cups. Or if your side had beer and there is it. You're good. There's nothing here in any way that is setting a bad example for your kids. You're bouncing a ball on a table into cups. The end. It doesn't have to be beer pong.
Starting point is 00:08:22 I think before it was beer pong, it was just bouncing the cup game. Hey, if anything, you're getting them ready for college, right? They're going to be really good when they go. We're not going down. Lunchbox. Listen, it's a game. Who cares? You're drinking water.
Starting point is 00:08:33 It doesn't matter. And don't listen to people on Facebook. People on Facebook are idiots. It's just a game. I agree with you on that. Not the game, the Facebook idiot part. Goodness. I agree completely.
Starting point is 00:08:44 All right, Amy, have a problem with it? No, just we call it, we'd call it water pong. It's fine. Gatorade pong. Fill it up with whatever you want, pong. Yeah, yeah. There you go. You did nothing wrong.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Your friends are idiots because they are on Facebook. That's right. All right, close it up. We got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about to close. Bobby's Mailback. Yeah. I prepare to have your mind blown right now
Starting point is 00:09:11 because I didn't know this, and I've been using my nose my whole life. Okay? Who else has used their nose their whole life? Me. Yeah, classic, right? So, nostrils switch on and off every three to four hours,
Starting point is 00:09:22 so only really one works at a time. What? So when you're just breathing normally, you're not ripping through both of them. Now, if you start to think about it, you're probably doing it. But if you're just chilling and your breathing's happening
Starting point is 00:09:35 all in the subconscious level, you're picking one nostril. So one is always smelling and breathing while the other nostril closes down and rests. Tell me that ain't some crazy stuff. It takes a nap. Why have I never heard of this? I don't know that it comes up on a lot of parties. Now it is. Yeah, but isn't that why?
Starting point is 00:09:52 I mean, and I can see that. I think I'm pretty left nostril dominant now that I think about it. I'm left-handed. I'm like... So if you're left-handed, you're left-norsal. Well, no, not always, but I feel my left nostrils. I'm a little tired. Maybe it's just been going the last few hours.
Starting point is 00:10:05 But I thought that, boom, mind blown. You want another mind blown? Yes. One of my hobbies, by the way, I don't have a lot of hobbies, but one of them is trying to race the GPS. Meaning, when I said it, and I'm like, I've got to get to this place, if it says, I'm going to get there at 653, you better dang believe. I want to get there at 652 or earlier. So I'm trying to race the GPS. I'm not driving recklessly, but I'm being very efficient.
Starting point is 00:10:28 And my goal is to beat that time. And if I'm going on a long trip, three or four hours, oh, man, I'll beat about 30 minutes. Like the goal at a gas station. At a gas station, it's like a pit stop and NASCAR track. Yes. So I started to research if I go faster, does that actually, like how fast do I have to go for how long? So traffic experts say that speeding doesn't actually save you a ton of time. For instance, a five-mile drive, you save only 43 seconds by going 10 miles an hour over.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Wow. And that's a ticket. Yeah, and that's a ticket. You'll get a ticket for that. So you're saving less than a minute. on a 10 mile trip, you'll save a minute in 26 seconds by going 10 over, basically. So when you start to lay out these. Well, sometimes coming to this job, I need that 40 seconds.
Starting point is 00:11:13 Do you ever get near the traffic light? And you're like, I'm close. Oh, motor. Yes. I've run them. You've run the light to get here on time? Absolutely. I'll pull up.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Look at it. Aren't. Yeah. Not because you're impatient because you don't want to be late. Because I don't want to be late. Bones, I've thought about ditching the car and just running to work. Right there at that light. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Morgan number two, 30 Second Skinny. Dirk's Bentley and El King are hosting a three-hour CMA Fest special airing on August 3rd on ABC. The special will feature performances from the CMA Festival in Nashville. Jordan Davis talked about his new song, What My World Spins Around. We're excited to have it out. And, you know, it's a song about, you know, to me, it's about my wife, how much she means to me.
Starting point is 00:12:02 It's a totally different feeling song than I put out in the past, so I'm excited for the fans to hear it. I'm Morgan. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. Linda is a school bus driver in Brian, Ohio, and she did not expect this to happen, man,
Starting point is 00:12:21 but she's driving the bus, and she's got all the kids in there, and she starts smelling a weird odor, and then on the dashboard, all the lights start coming on, like, oh, warning, warning, warning, morning, and I guess they had just taken off from the school, so there's a line of buses. Well, the bus driver in front looks, gets out the windows. Hey, hey, there's smoke coming from the front of your bus. She's like, oh, my gosh, because she finally sees the smoke.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Yes, it's catching on fire. So she gets all the kids with the help of some of the older students. Let's get the kids all out. She pulls over. She gets them all out safely. They look back, and the entire front of the bus is engulfed in flames. So just in time, she got all the kids out. You know, there's something to say just for bus drivers in general.
Starting point is 00:12:57 one, that's a hard drive a bus. Two, all those kids screaming at you. Oh, yeah. Three, underappreciated. We were not nice to our bus drivers. Nobody was. It's kind of like a ride of passage. Like, maybe you're not mean to the bus driver,
Starting point is 00:13:11 but you're just an idiot on the bus. Yeah. You're loud. You stand up. Yeah. And you outnumber the bus driver. Remember the big mirror they had above them? And they would always look up on the big mirror and they'd say, hey, you get down.
Starting point is 00:13:23 I'd be like, oh, my bad. Sit back down again. Well, we had cameras. They had a little box up there. And it said you're being recorded. and then I found out one day there was actually no camera in there. And so... I knew it.
Starting point is 00:13:31 It was on. And I was never bad. But I was never good. I was... That was the worst I got. But if they were paper fights, did you participate? Of course. Of course.
Starting point is 00:13:42 It's America. Shout out to her. Everybody's safe. That's a great story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. On the Bobby Bones show now. Jordan Davis.
Starting point is 00:13:54 You walked in bragging about a fish you just caught. Yeah. No hello or anything. He just runs up with his phone. I did say, what's up, gang? All I saw was a phone coming at my face. Like, look what I caught. I know.
Starting point is 00:14:05 But it wasn't Percy. It wasn't here in Nashville. So nobody can get mad that I didn't text. Tell us about the fish. It was 9-1. 9 pounds, 1 ounce. Dang. What kind of fish?
Starting point is 00:14:16 It was bass. Because if you said catfish, that's not a big catfish. You always have to say what the fish is. Because if you said 9-1, I was like, what's that? You say a trout. I'll be like, I don't believe you.
Starting point is 00:14:25 That's too big for a trout. Yeah. That's big. That's my personal best. Look, Photoshop to me. That's the first thing Bobby Say is like, it's too green behind it. He can't give you the crush you.
Starting point is 00:14:35 Hey, something was fishy. So did you post that on social media? I haven't posted that one yet. Are you going to? Or you just keeping that for your... No, no, no. I'm going to show that one off. All right.
Starting point is 00:14:44 Jordan Davis is here. I want to walk through some of your number ones. Let's start with the last one. Here is buy dirt. By dirt. Did this song kind of change it for you? Because you had other number ones. But I feel like this one was just so substantial.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Yeah. I could, like, this is, I've never had a song react the way this one has. From live performances, you know, it's just a career-changing song, you know, and to, like, venues where there's more people showing up to shows now. Yeah. And you can tell that, yeah, like, they really not too up on the older stuff, but by dirt is what brought them there. I want to ask a favor of you at some point when you're playing your own show.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Just do it once for me. Okay. Start your set with. buy dirt and then end your set with by dirt. And I'm not joking. I probably pull that out. Yeah. People will love it. Yeah. But myself included, I'm like, I don't know. Because even segments on this show, I'm like, I don't want to do it every hour. But people just love what they love. Yeah. If you'll just do it one time for me at some show. Okay. I can do that. I can do that. And I'm going to let them know like, this is for Bobby. No, no, I don't do that because I'll boo you.
Starting point is 00:15:49 Then they'll be like, boo. And then we'll just talk to you after that weekend. Okay. And I want to know how it felt to do a massive hit at the beginning and end of your set. And if it still felt when you did the end, that they still cared as much. It's just a science experiment. Okay. All right. So, that's that. Here is slow dance in a parking lot, another number one.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Here is Take It for Me from 2019. And here is, singles you up. So I'm looking at these. you have 2018, 2019, 2020. Ooh, big gap, 2021. Then you have 2022. That must have been a rough year for you. Yeah, I think it was rough year for all.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Yeah, that's pretty true. That's pretty true. But we're here today to talk about your new song. So what my world spins around. That's the new single. Like, what the heck's up with this song? Man, this is actually, speaking of 2021, we wrote this in 2021. And it just really a song.
Starting point is 00:16:54 I think it's different for me. Like, I've never, I think sonically, like, you know, production-wise, it's something that I've never really done. But the lyric is one of my favorites. I wrote that with Ryan Hurd and Matt Draxton. And it's been one that just kind of hung around for a long time. I just love the message behind it. And yeah, another love song about the wife.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Well, you, if you're writing with Ryan Hurd, who's also a great songwriter, but also an artist, like with hits himself, was that ever a conversation like, all right, who's going to get it? Ryan, you're going to sing it or am I going to sing it? It was up until we sang the demo that day, Because I was sitting there and Ryan would sing it, and I'd be like, dang, this would be a really good Ryan heard song. And then it got time to sing the demo.
Starting point is 00:17:35 And I was kind of like, well, I guess it's my song now. Were you rooting for it to be a Ryan song or secretly? Like, how does that have? There's like to be a conversation about it, right? Yeah, I mean, we're kind of like at one point. Like pay the check, right? Who's paid the check? I was supposed to check. I was kind of like, dude, is this your song?
Starting point is 00:17:48 And he was like, no, no, this is yours. I was like, okay. And then are you like, why you don't want it because it sucks? That's what I would think. I would be like, what do you mean? Well, I mean, Ryan doesn't write a lot of bad songs, so I was kind of like, I mean, dude, if you're not going to do this, I'll do it. That's cool. Well, you said you mentioned your wife, so then is it boil down to like, well, is this more like my wife or your wife?
Starting point is 00:18:05 I know. Who are we talking about here? That's good. I mean, it's, you know, all those get pulled on, you know, anytime it's like, well, I'm going to reflect on, like, experience that I've had with my wife try to throw it into this song. I don't know, Ryan probably does the same thing, but my favorite line is, hey, Marron, I love you in this song. Yeah. Starting point is 00:20:59 Vegas's most iconic zip line. 11 stories above Fremont Street. Five blocks of flight over the neon heart of Old Vegas. The crowds, the music, the whole electric original below. Slotzilla. At Fremont Street Experience. It's not a ride. It's the Vegas story you'll tell forever.
Starting point is 00:21:18 Search Fremont Street Experience to book your flight. Go! On the Bobby Bones show now. Jordan Davis. I saw you were named LSU's Young Alumni of the Year. Yeah. Is that one? One?
Starting point is 00:21:32 Yeah, I got it. That's awesome. When I got the phone call for it, I was kind of like, are y'all sure you're giving this to the right person? But it was cool. I mean, we got to go down to Baton Rouge, and they nominated four other people in, like, the Hall of Distinction, which was really cool.
Starting point is 00:21:46 You know, got to give a speech. just go around the campus. Like this is the first time I've been back on campus since being in school. So yeah, it was kind of cool to be back and be a part of it. It's a huge honor. I'm really proud of that one.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Yeah, because home is awesome. And the same for me. I know you have talked about this. I'm from Arkansas. You're from Louisiana. So that stuff is so important to us. Yeah. Even as things in our respective careers
Starting point is 00:22:08 get weirder and cooler, still the most important things are like when home is like putting their arms around you still. Yeah. And that's like, even my mom, I like that. I've had a lot of amazing things happen in music. But, you know, when mom says, like, hey, I'm really proud of you for this,
Starting point is 00:22:23 like, this is special, you know, it just means a little bit more. And, too, like, yeah, I mean, we both, you love Arkansas just as much as I love LSU. So having them reach out and say, you know, hey, congratulations, we want to honor you on something. It's pretty cool. The dynamic at home, because I'll compare yours with mine, and my wife, she loves me because I'm funny, but she doesn't find me near as funny anymore because we're together all the time and if I can get a laugh out of her
Starting point is 00:22:48 I'm like wow I must have really like a cheap A level yeah because you're with someone and she's funnier than I am so it's hard to crack it but when I do I'm like so proud of myself as a singer as a performer as a songwriter do you find it's harder with your wife to create something that she's like
Starting point is 00:23:04 wow that's really good because she's always been around what you do I think like the first perfect example first weekend of Brooks and Dunn Tour all right open it up for Brooks and Dunn Tour all right open it up for Brooks and Dunn legendary
Starting point is 00:23:16 I'm like hey baby are you coming out for this first weekend of Brooks and Dunn she's like nah I think I'm gonna go visit my friend I was like babe
Starting point is 00:23:24 I'm opening for Brooks and Dunn Ma Maria ever heard that your quoting song that guy yeah they sing that and I mean I'll probably make I'll make one show eventually
Starting point is 00:23:35 and like I'm driving to bus call I'm like what I would be like that's the first time I've gotten like kind of giddy over like going to bus calling being like oh my gosh dude i get to open for brooks and dunnam all right and i was like and my wife's just like oh cool i see you on monday but when she is impressed it's awesome and ells she was at the
Starting point is 00:23:54 young alumnus of the year i was like babe i'm young alumn and she was like wow how i was like i don't know i just rhyme some words put some songs out uh but no i mean you know it's a she was proud of that I feel like, yeah, it is. It's tougher to get like a great reaction out of her because obviously Brooks and Dunn's not doing it. You know, and they don't do it for me anymore either. I'll be honest, guys. Been there done that.
Starting point is 00:24:19 That's pretty awesome, right? And I'm lucky enough to have a really strong relationship with Ronnie Dunn. And as a kid, never. I would never in a million years imagine that I'd be friends with Ronnie. Yeah. But for you to go out and play in front of that crowd,
Starting point is 00:24:34 I would imagine that for a minute, it's tough to win that. not because you're not good, but because they didn't come to see you. And they probably, some of that crowd's a little older. Like, how hard is it to win over a crowd like that? It took us, we're still messing with our set. You know, the first night, we put a set list together when we went out there. Collective walking off stage and, hey, guys, that didn't work.
Starting point is 00:24:57 That's not the right one. So we do it. And cover wise, like, we cover Brooks and Dunn songs. Right? You can't cover that when you're over before. Hilarious if you did it in front of them. Oh, man. But, like, we cover some.
Starting point is 00:25:09 You know, just like some older, you know, like we do ricochet Daddy's Money. We cover that song. That's a good one, though. She got a daddy's money. Her mama's good looks. More laugh than a stack of comic books. Yeah. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Let's go. Bobby Bowdo's version. I love that. I haven't thought. Is that, I messed up the lyric? No, it's great. Oh. I just, you singing it. It's your version of it.
Starting point is 00:25:31 That means it wasn't that good, Eddie. We'll work on that. No, we do that one. We do, what else? We do Amos Moses, the old Jerry Reed song. song about Alligators. But you don't do those now or you do? We do them for the Brooks and Dunn.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Got it. I would think we sat in that they'd love that. Yeah, yeah. And then we just kind of do, I do like more acoustic stuff. Like, you know, try to just do singer-songwriter stuff. But it's still fun.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Like, I don't want to change it too much to be like, I'm not going to fold into that crowd. I'd rather like still be who we are, do what I do. And, you know, I mean, I feel like that's how I'm going to put the best show on anyway. It's always, I say always,
Starting point is 00:26:06 we've done it once. Opening for like a major, superstar because we open for Garth. It's, you know that they've been waiting for months and months and months and months to see Garth Brooks. Yeah. You know. They hadn't just waited
Starting point is 00:26:18 a couple weeks. No. That's a date circled. Yeah. And like you're just in between. Yeah. And so you're just trying not to annoy the people. That's what we felt like. We wanted to do a good job. But we wanted to like not annoy people just be a
Starting point is 00:26:34 slip and slide over to Garth, you know? I mean, that's why we look at it with them. And we have an hour. Wow. Which I feel like is like a little long. That's, yeah. I mean, obviously I'm not, I'm not going to go and be like, hey, I don't want to play any longer. That's a long time as a, for an opener.
Starting point is 00:26:48 That's like 45 minutes, 35 minutes is the sweet spot. How long do you have? Well, so the funny story is we were on stage beforehand and we were talking to Garth Brooks and Trescia Yearwood, as I call him, G&T. And Garth was like, hey, it plays as long as you want. And I was like, no, I think we're going to do like, because he said he could do like 30. 35 minutes. Initially, that's what they said. He goes, if you feel like, just keep playing.
Starting point is 00:27:12 I don't care. I'm going to be here all night anyway. And I thought to myself, if we play more because we're feeling it, people are going to feel it less for us. So we played 35 and got off and felt great about that time. That's the sweet spot. We played ricochet Daddy's Money and we left and we got the crap out of there. But it's cool to like be a fan of country music
Starting point is 00:27:34 and then play in front of like the reasons that you. you're even in country music. Oh, yeah. And I'm sure for Brooks and Dunn, that's pretty cool. That's one of them. Yeah. I mean, just every song is just a smash. And it's just, and, you know, Ronnie, and I know kicks pretty well.
Starting point is 00:27:51 And just two great guys. The band, the crew, and it's just so much easier whenever everybody out there is just really, really good human beings. And it just makes it great. I wonder what that tour gift is going to be, the end of tour gift. Oh, man. Oh, man. We start building it up. Oh, if I can be a plane.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Oh, yeah. Do you have to get them one? I will definitely get them something. Because how do you get somebody the gift that has everything? Yeah. Welcome to our world. Something that they... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:17 That's what we deal with. That's a... Yeah, that is a... I mean, I now have to get them something. Yeah, now because it's definitely been stated. I don't know. I think like... Kicks is a golfer.
Starting point is 00:28:25 I could go something golf with kicks. What am I talking about this on the biggest radio show? That's what we do. I saw on your Instagram, there was a betting slip. I don't think it was legit. Because I looked at it and it said you bet $4,000. Not true at all. all not true and I said that before we posted it I was like somebody's gonna think that I'm
Starting point is 00:28:43 throwing around $4,000 well I at first I thought because I am a big draft kings guy and so I post my betting slip sometimes but I ain't $4,000 no and so I saw you post that and I was like buy dirt dirt must be treating you good buying a lot of dirt and that's the thing it's like we hid the release of the song in there and so like all these people picked it up and they're like god Jordan Davis is bragging these betting four grand I would never not that I don't think the saints could win the Super Bowl, but I would not put $4,000 on the Saints to win the Super Bowl next year. I just thought you were way richer than I thought, and I wish I wouldn't pay for your golfing food.
Starting point is 00:29:15 That's what I thought. I was like, I'll never do that again if he's making that kind of money. Last time I'll get a free round from Bobby. Oh, listen, man, I'm super pumped for you. I'm glad you have another song out. You have four number ones, and then you're, the song you have that wasn't number one was also a big hit, almost maybe. Almost maybe, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Yeah, right, do you have that one? I think it's like that was It's over out of the moves I think it's like It got to five But see I think that was 2021 Just a weird year I think this song
Starting point is 00:29:45 If it was a normal year I agree I think the song actually has more lasting power Than slow dance in a parking lot In that I think people remember this It's just quicker It's hookier So I think that'll be one of those weird songs
Starting point is 00:29:59 It wasn't number one that'll be one of your songs. And it's great too. Like, you know, the fans don't. You know, they just know they like the song. They probably assume it was a number one. Yeah, they're just like, oh, I heard this one on the radio. Like this, this is one of my favorites. Or they're like, uh, this guy with the beard sucks, where's Brooks and done. That's half of the crowd. That could also happen too. No, listen, man, you're, you're just killing it. You got four number ones, almost maybes is a massive song and then, you know, it's good to have pressure. Meaning, you have a little pressure on this because you have been performing
Starting point is 00:30:30 and I don't mean that in a way of like, oh, boy, you got pressure. It's like you've worked so hard to be in an uncomfortable place to have pressure on you because you are expected to perform. And congratulations. That's awesome. Thank you. It's definitely, and by dirt, you know, and we talked about this playing golf. It was like the second I said, like, you know what, by dirt was my last song,
Starting point is 00:30:53 the next song is the next song. Because for the longest time, every song got put up to that. And I was like, I'm never like, it's not as good as, dirt and finally one day I was like you know what I can't think about that song anymore next single has to be the next single and I just got to commit to it and go with it we would never get new songs after great songs if that were the case I know I mean everybody be like well crap that's my kind of night we can never make another one you know and then we have no more Luke Bryan songs I know so I'm glad that you got over that and here we are new
Starting point is 00:31:24 song new record maybe into the year next year what's the deal it's always I don't even care that much about records, but when's a collection of Jordan Davis songs come out? I'm hoping by the end of the year. That's the, that's the plan right now. Did you buy any dirt as a celebration? I did not. Literal dirt. See what you should have done. Wait, I did. I did. Land? Duck camp, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:43 No, no, no, go and buy literal, like, to a dirt farm. Oh. And buy, like, and buy, going to purchase dirt. Like mulch. Like, like, or you can even do mulch it, yes. Even that. Yes, okay. That should have been the video. I should I should run your social media. Yeah. Like, I'm really going to buy some dirt guys.
Starting point is 00:31:59 you go on and you buy dirt. If mulch counts, I bought dirt. All right, Jordan Davis, follow him on Instagram. Jordan Davis official. He is the most successful alumnus of LSU in 2020. Young alumnus, yeah. Which, by the way, I'll mention this before we go. What's interesting to me is that you obviously have been way into music,
Starting point is 00:32:18 but you went to college not to do music. Like environmental science. And you had a job in that. Yeah. Your job was what? I was doing residential erosion control. That's what he was doing. Wow.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Oh my gosh. I could have used you. Like just the other day. My neighbor and I, there's like a little bit of a discrepancy. And now we're having to split the bill because we were going to put it. But something in between our houses is eroding. And they're saying it's coming off. The water's coming off of our thing.
Starting point is 00:32:45 And it's our fault. But it's not. It's like technically maybe the builder. I feel like you're hitting him out for an estimate. If you need me to come, you know, I can put my, no. No. No, do not call me. But yeah, like that's what.
Starting point is 00:32:59 I was doing that until I told my boss at the time. I was like, hey, I want to go write songs in Nashville. He was like, A, I didn't even know that you cared about writing music. And B, if you want to do that, you can keep this job until you move, but you can't keep doing what you're doing. So I went to the landscaping side. So I was the weed eater guy. That's good.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Great weed eater guy. I weeded it for years of myself, didn't maintain us on a golf course. I was a great weed eater guy myself, but I hated that job because I was always covered in grass, stained. Everything was stained all the time. Yep. Every pair of glasses I had had grass all in it. It was a terrible, terrible job.
Starting point is 00:33:34 And you always smell grass. Like, it just, it's always, which. But a different kind of grass than like wet morning grass. Right, right. Like dirty, sweaty grass. Dry, dead, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Hot grass.
Starting point is 00:33:47 It's terrible. You can tell a couple guys that's worked fields over there. Eddie comes in exhausted this morning. Your son has taken his final exams? Yeah. Are they called finals? Finals time, yeah. And he's what grade?
Starting point is 00:33:58 He's in seventh grade. moving on to eighth. How hard are the finals for seventh graders? Oh my gosh, they're ridiculous. It's just hard. I mean, he has to, right now, last night we did social studies and science. And the memorization for social studies is crazy. He has to memorize every European country on the map. How did you do it that? Terrible. I mean. But did you memorize it with him? I tried to. So I kind of went old school. I was like, all right, you know what? It's easier for him to study if we do it as a group, almost like back in college. We get the coffee going, put some soft jam. On then we're like, all right, let's do flashcards.
Starting point is 00:34:30 You put soft jams on in college? You served your seventh grader coffee? Go ahead. That's good. Interesting, too. I didn't realize that. Yeah, and then we just kind of did flashcards and studied and everything. And he was, dude, he is amazing at memorizing stuff.
Starting point is 00:34:43 Me, I forgot it like five seconds after we said it. After he had a few cigarettes, Eddie's time was like, I'm tired. I'm going to bed. Cigarette break. Hey, so what did you, tell me something you learned from studying with him. Fun fact, Eddie is? I learned that Germany is right next to Poland. and on the other side of Poland is Latvia.
Starting point is 00:35:01 I didn't know that. I didn't know that. I thought Latvia was Russia. That I did not know. In the area-ish, though. Yeah, but it's still Europe. Yeah. So I didn't know all that.
Starting point is 00:35:11 He could literally look at the empty map of Europe. And Europe has like 50 countries. I had no idea. You know, France has 12 time zones. What? Yeah. Really? Why do you know that?
Starting point is 00:35:21 I don't know. But it's crazy, right? That is crazy. I'm taking of Europe. Amy, we're going to do the pile next. Eddie, good luck. Are you done? Oh, we're done, we're done.
Starting point is 00:35:28 We're not doing this anymore. The Bible Bowl show. Here's Amy's pile of stories. I have some security measures you can take to protect yourself from the latest and most common scams. Okay. I feel like this is timely for me. Yeah, I feel like you're just reading out loud what you should be reading in loud. But you know what?
Starting point is 00:35:46 If it's happening to me, it's happening to others. Okay, go ahead. So first and foremost, we need to just always be skeptical if a stranger calls you. Well, yeah, duh. No crap. Also, if a white van pulls up, you should always wonder, I don't know if this white van's for me offering me candy. Secondly, enable a multi-factor authentication on all your accounts. You almost got that.
Starting point is 00:36:08 What did I do wrong? Say it again. Multi-factor authentication. There you go. I know. Why that's awesome is if someone logs in and knows your password, they cannot get in even with your password unless they have the code that's texted to you. Yeah, but you know why? That's why I don't check our work email.
Starting point is 00:36:24 It's every time I want to check my work email, it sends me. a text to authenticate me and then I have to enter that in. Now people just... This is why you get scammed. She's like, I refuse to put a password other than ABC, the EFG. It's just against everything I stand for. Okay, and then also don't give any personal or financial information upon unexpected request.
Starting point is 00:36:47 That should be done that. Research companies before making a donation or purchase. This is all normal stuff. Let me say this. It's not, though, because I fall for it. And then lastly, resist. This is important. Resist the pressure to act immediately.
Starting point is 00:37:03 So don't feel like if someone's at your door asking for money, you have to donate in that moment. Has anything happened to your credit card since then? Not yet. We've discovered it was a scam, yeah. Don't click the picture because it's like, you know, in the email that says, hey, is this you? Like, don't act immediately.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Pause. The latest for you guys, if you're new, is Amy had someone come to her door or knock and say, hey, I'm just trying to get my record expung. I was in jail. I was in jail for nine years. And Amy cried with him and then it was a scam. It was a scam. It was all a scam.
Starting point is 00:37:32 And that's okay. You're growing from it. I will also say life lock by Norton is great, which I use. They call if anything's on the dark web. Lunchbox tried to get Gott by the work email. First, you got got got. Yes, I've got got in the past. Because our work tries to sucker us into things.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Yeah, they try to get you to click on things. And then they're like, you idiot, why'd you click on that? You stupid loser? And I'm like, say that? Yeah, basically. Wow. And so, then I got another one says,
Starting point is 00:37:58 click on this and win something for the weekend. No way, right? No way. I'm like, I'm clicking on you set. And then it emailed two hours later, here are our winners. I'm like, wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:38:07 There's real winners? Like, you can't do that. You set us up to fail. And then you send out something so no one's going to click on it. And then you actually have real winners. So they need to make up their mind. Are they giving stuff away
Starting point is 00:38:17 and they want us to click on it or not? So they need to redo it or give everybody a prize because I didn't click because I didn't want to get scam. You're giving them the business right now too, aren't you? So annoying. Yeah, there he is. That's showbiz, baby.
Starting point is 00:38:28 All right, Amy, what else you got? Okay, I'm going to quiz you on your table manners. Go ahead. We'll see where you fall in when it comes to etiquette. Talking with your mouthful. Nope. Oh, cutting all of your food up at once. I don't cut anything.
Starting point is 00:38:38 I take a fork and I stick it right in the middle of the meat and I lift it up like a lollipop and my wife isn't humiliated when I do that. That's not not good. Yeah, I go, and I lift it up. You do not do that in public. Caveman style. It depends at home for sure. And depending on who we're with.
Starting point is 00:38:54 Well, I do that. Yes. I go straight lollipop on a steak. Eating before everyone has been served. I'll do that. As soon as the food comes down, I'll have to be elbowed. Go like, hey, hey, hey, hey, they haven't got their food yet. You're kind of failing this.
Starting point is 00:39:06 I'm not doing it to be rude. I'm doing it because... Because you've got to hurry, because you've got to pay the bill before everybody else gets done eating so you can get the heck out of there. Now we're talking. Monopalizing the conversation. Nope, not me. Bringing up controversial subjects or making off-color jokes.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Not me. Well, that's from an etiquette expert. Don't do any of that stuff. I got a 60, so it didn't pass. You failed. Yeah, it could be better. Go ahead. So it's graduation time and Taste of Country put together a list of the most played country songs for the year that you graduated.
Starting point is 00:39:34 So I pulled ours. Okay. Like Bobby, you graduated in 1998. And your song is Tim McGraw, Just to See You Smile. Doesn't really fit the theme, but I like the song. It's a good one. Yeah. It's just the most played song of that year.
Starting point is 00:39:48 It's not about graduation. Got it, got it. Lunchbox and I both are 99, so we have a maze blown. Star. Eddie's is Hank Williams Sr. I'm so lonely I could cry from 1941. Here you go. No? So rude.
Starting point is 00:40:05 But listen, Taste of Country, they didn't like just go easy on this. They did go back to 1946. They did. So if you're like 94, your song's up there. If you're listening right now, you can go look that up. But Eddie's is 1997. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It's your love.
Starting point is 00:40:22 Tim Dominating then. What about Morgan is like buy dirt or something? Hers is from 2012, Josh Turner, Time is Love. Time is love. All right. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:40:37 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Edward Davis owns Fated Barbershop in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When South High School, they came up and said, hey, can you help us out with prom coming up, anything you can do for our students? He was like, yeah. Anybody going to prom? come to here and you get a free haircut.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Oh, wow. He's like, look, I want everybody to look their best for prom. It's an expense that they don't need to face and I'll do it for free. What if you were driving by that place today and they were like, anybody going to prom gets a free haircut? You're driving by today.
Starting point is 00:41:10 You're 41. Yeah. I mean, and if I'm shaved, I look probably about 17. You don't, but okay. I'm going in. I'm trying it. Because here's the cool thing. The very next weekend after he did this,
Starting point is 00:41:20 all high school students. Come on in, free haircut. Oh, wow. Not just that high school. That's pretty good. I know word if the prom king or queen went to his barbershop. I'm just saying because I was prom king. I knew we were going to get there.
Starting point is 00:41:34 He was like, why trying to find a way to transition to that? Go ahead. I was prom king back in 1999, Anderson High School, and I just wonder if he cut the prom king's hair. You still have your crown? Still got my crown. Is it falling apart at all?
Starting point is 00:41:47 A little bit. A little bit of the foam on the inside is coming off, but I think I could re-gluw it. You know what they do is they have experts come in to like re- sometimes, not even paint, but make sure the Mona Lisa is still perfect. Or sometimes to reassemble art. Oh, I wonder if there's a prom king hat expert. They could have someone come in.
Starting point is 00:42:07 That would be great. They could maybe do it up, put some diamonds in it. Oh, you actually want to improve it. I mean, isn't that what people do with their engagement rings? They upgrade? But that's an engagement ring. Same thing to him. Same thing.
Starting point is 00:42:19 What would you do with a prom king with diamonds in it? Like a crown. Wear it places? You wouldn't wear it. every once in a while big occasions So to celebrate something You would wear your prom crown Yeah and everybody's like hey what's it?
Starting point is 00:42:32 Oh man prom king hat You just got a hat it upgraded Got some diamonds now fresh diamonds Okay A listener asked me the other day If he really was prom king or if this was just Schick? What did you say?
Starting point is 00:42:44 Try again That schick Better yeah Just say it quick Okay well I don't say it quick And I was like no no he really was Like he really was prom king We think it was shtick for his classmates to vote him from.
Starting point is 00:42:57 Right. But lunchbox, what's the name of the barber again? We're getting lost to. Hold on. It is called Fated Barbershop in Minneapolis and the owner's Edward Davis. All right, Edward Davis. Shout out. That's awesome.

Starting point is 00:46:24 At number one, Morgan Freeman. Whoa! Americans love Morgan Freeman the most. At number two, Denzel Washington. Nailed it. At three Tom Hanks. You said five people. Yeah, you just do a whole bunch of names out there.
Starting point is 00:46:35 And number four, Keanu Reeves. No, you didn't. You didn't. I said Denzel and Tom. No, you said every actor you could possibly think of. No, I said Brad Pitt. You did the whole listing of Inside the Actor's Studio. Everybody's season two.
Starting point is 00:46:46 Whatever. I said like four, and I got two. All right, let's go over to Amy. get in the morning corny. The morning corny. What do you call someone who tells dad jokes, but isn't a dad? What? A faux pa.
Starting point is 00:47:03 A faux. That was the morning corny. All right. I get it. The question is the average American eats four of these per week. What is it? Okay, we have a call there on the phone. Everybody say hello to Lee in San Antonio, Texas.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Hi, Lee. Hi, morning studio. Morning. Lee, how are you today? I'm doing okay. How are you? Yeah, we're doing pretty good. I want to give you a prize here.
Starting point is 00:47:28 So what I have for you, if you win, is a $100 gift card to tractor supply where if you think you're getting tractors, you're out of luck. No luck. You can get things like grills and fire pits. And for your pets, food, toys, they have a vet and get medicine there, fishing equipment, clothing, utility vehicles. I don't have enough for that, but I got a $100 gift card to tractor supply where they also have garden lawn supplies. So everything you need a tractor supply, all you have to do is get the never going to get it question right.
Starting point is 00:47:59 All right, so round one is you, Lee. If you can get it right, you just win and we'll go home and call it today. The average American eats four of these per week. What is it, Lee? Ooh, that's a tough one. It's hard. It's never going to get it, actually. They're all tough. So tough. You're never going to get it. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Ice cubes. Ice cubes. Interesting. No, no. I'm trying to think if I eat any. Zero. Stanley eats like six. I'll hit them as you. I'll hit them as you. It's incorrect.
Starting point is 00:48:27 Okay. Good for you. You're still in the game. Lee. You have Amy, Lunchbox, Eddie and Morgan. They're representing you right now. How do you guys feel about it?
Starting point is 00:48:36 Amy? Do you think you have it? I think I have a pretty good idea. The average American eats four of these per week. What is it? You feel pretty good. Lunchbox? Solid. Great answer.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Eddie? I've never gotten it, but this time I know I got it. He says that every time. But he's also just never gotten. That is true. Morgan? I feel pretty meh about it. It could go either way.
Starting point is 00:48:57 I like your honesty. So, Lee, who would you like to team with here on the show? I've got to give my boy lunchbox some love here. We're going to go with lunchbox. All right. The average American eats four of these per week. Lunchbox, what did you say? Well, my first instinct was toenails.
Starting point is 00:49:12 But then I was like, that may just be meat. That's so gross. Then I thought eggs, and I said that's too obvious. And this happens when you're asleep. Bugs. You're walking. You get a bug in your house. mouth, you're asleep, a bug crawls in.
Starting point is 00:49:23 Four bugs. Or you're riding your bike and one hits you in the face. Four bugs a week. The average American eats four of the... No, I don't eat four bugs a week. You don't know it. Yes, I do. I do.
Starting point is 00:49:34 I do know it. I don't eat four bugs a week. But sometimes you really don't know. I know with Alma heart. It's in a lot of heart. Yes. But this is the average bone. Trust me.
Starting point is 00:49:42 Okay. So, he says bugged. Could be. Amy, what do you have? I guess I went with the obvious that lunchbox rejected and I'm going eggs. Eddie. Check this out. Four tomatoes.
Starting point is 00:49:54 It's in ketchup. It's in pizza sauce. It's in spaghetti and meatballs. It's tomatoes. Morgan? I got two here. Nobody said them, but I was just going like basic food, not like insects. I had sandwiches or dessert, but I love dessert and I eat like one a day.
Starting point is 00:50:12 So I'm going desserts. Oh, that's pretty good. Four desserts? Okay, so, Amy, your answer of eggs. Eggs. Eggs is incorrect. Dang it. This is it.
Starting point is 00:50:23 Eddie, I'll come to you. This is it the first time. Eddie, your answer was? Tomatoes. And tomatoes is incorrect. Oh, okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:50:30 Morgan was meh and her answer is, meh. That's incorrect, Morgan. Dang. All right. Lunchbox, you say it's bugs. Yeah. What's my person's name?
Starting point is 00:50:38 Lee. Lee, let's go. Roadrunner! Senator Antonio represent. Let's go. Go, Spurs, go. Are you sailing all the teams? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Sam's Club. Alamo! The mission is the baseball team. Oh yeah. Ripley's believe it or not, down on the Riverwalk. one a better, Sam's Club 6416. Out of business.
Starting point is 00:50:56 You've ever been to that Ripley Cleveland or not? Yeah, it's going to cross the L-O. Yeah, got to the town. Okay. Dix. Riverwalk. Dix on the L-A-Move. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Riverwalk. Okay, listen. Dick's last resort? Yes. Great place, man. Gotta get the matches when you go there. That's right. Okay, so lunchbox, your answer is bugs.
Starting point is 00:51:13 If it's bugs, she wins the prize. How does she feel about that? Lee, how you feel about that? I'm just going to believe in lunchbox. Okay, well? If you believe in lunchbox, believe no more. It is not bugs. Okay, so, she did not win round two.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to give her a chance here. Lee, this third and final shot, I'm going to give them one more guess. If any of them get it right, you win the prize. So, guys, you'll get a second guess. I'm even going to give you a hint. It's nothing like bugs or clouds. It's a real food?
Starting point is 00:51:48 Yes. Well, I never thought clouds. That doesn't help me. Huh? Or your heart out. Oh, eat your heart out. Yeah, it's nothing like that. There's no riddle. There's no trivia. So, I'll ask the question again. The average American eats four of these per week. What is it?
Starting point is 00:52:06 Four average. That means some people are eating more than four. That's how average is work, yes. You really, you didn't good. You didn't good. Okay. I know, but I'm just trying to think of like... Okay. Four. Who's in? I'm in.
Starting point is 00:52:20 Eddie's in. And you never got it before. I've never got it before. But you feel like this one, the second chance guess is me. Me. Me, got it. Oh, I got that. That's it.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Right. I mean, I don't. You need an answer. Yeah, I'm in. Okay. Okay. Let's start with Eddie, who's never gotten one right? Eddie, what do you have?
Starting point is 00:52:38 I feel me about this one, but give me slices of bread. Four slices on average. Well, I think I, um... Yeah. I had toast every day. I had some stupid Ezekiel toast. Oh, that's my favorite. That's really good.
Starting point is 00:52:49 That's my favorite, too. Wow, look at us. We're so old. Look at us, Amy. I know. It just feels frou-frou. You didn't do it right. It doesn't taste good. All right, it's incorrect, Eddie. Oh, great.
Starting point is 00:52:59 Morgan. I'm going with a slice of cheese. Incorrect, Morgan. Amy? No, that's not it either. Dave, he keeps to the doctor away. And lunchbox for the win. Four of these a week.
Starting point is 00:53:13 Four vegetables. Boom. Okay. I like what he did there. He did that whole, like, broad situation. Because you eat some broccoli? Carrots? You eat some carrots and some corn.
Starting point is 00:53:24 Here's what I'm going to do. That's not it. But I'm going to let you be more specific. And I'm going to give you 15 seconds to be more specific. Come on, come on. And if you're more specific, I will give her the prize. But you are kind of near it. Broccoli, go broccoli.
Starting point is 00:53:37 Four broccoli. Oh, yeah, true. Four. The average American eats four of these per week. Four carrots. Four beans? Four of these per week. This is your shot lunch.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Hey, you want to talk with them, Lee. Lee, like we're so close. Like, I'm on the right track. but I can't, I don't know. You have been to Ripley's, believe it or not, down on the riverwalk, Lee? Huh? You ever been to Ripley's believe it or not down on the riverwalk? I have not, but they're actually going to move it soon.
Starting point is 00:54:01 What the crap? Rent's too expensive down there. I mean, prime real estate. Lee, what do you feel like? I said vegetables, but he didn't like that, so is it... I liked it. It was close, is. It has to be more specific.
Starting point is 00:54:13 I don't know if it's in vegetables or if it's like something kind of like fruit. I was going to say fruit, but then I didn't have to be more specific. More specific? I'm thinking bananas. Bananas. That's what my head went. No, no, no, nobody's eating. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:26 Listen to Amy then. We mean listen to Amy. This is us. I guess it's a vegetable, not a fruit. But he didn't say it had to be a vegetable. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go with your heart, dude.
Starting point is 00:54:37 Hey, Lee, let's go bananas. Oh, my gosh. Oh, I like that. You say bananas? No, it's not. Okay. Amy, what would you say? Carrots.
Starting point is 00:54:47 You said vegetables, and it was close. It was actually the average American needs four salads a week. Oh! You know what I thought when you said B-more-Sin? I was like heads of lettuce, but that's a lot of lettuce. More heads. We just weren't on the right track.
Starting point is 00:55:04 No, I was on the right track. Let's in with the coin toss. If you get this right, Lee, then you're like your ninth chance. Okay, here we go for $100 to tractor supply and a gift card to Ripley's believe it or not. I'm just kidding. All right, here we go. y'all say tails never fails so we're going to go with that
Starting point is 00:55:21 okay tails it's heads oh my god oh my god I can't give her the card flip it again flip it again flip it again Lee I can give her one more shot yes please I have a dice it's got 10 numbers on it odd or evenly even even oh boy oh boy one okay okay okay all right how about like what's your favorite color or something okay let me write like what's bobby's Let me write a color down. Lee, if you pick the color I've written down, go ahead. Red. Correct.
Starting point is 00:55:51 We did it. Lee! Lee! Lee! There you, Lee! Lee! Lee! Lee!
Starting point is 00:55:58 Lee! Lee! He really did great today. I'm be honest with you. Lee, we did it! Way to represent San Antonio, Texas. Lee, thank you very much. Hang on the phone.
Starting point is 00:56:11 There's a vibrating dog bed that can be activated remotely, and you can use your phone. It's supposed to keep pets. calm and help tackle post lockdown separation anxiety because what a lot of vets are saying is dogs are freaking out because people are going back into the office not pretty much if you're going back in you're going back in and so the animals that were brought into homes during the pandemic are like wait this is not what I signed up for I'd rather stay in the pound with the other animals instead of at home all day by myself and so there's this bed that you just hit a button and it
Starting point is 00:56:41 locks it up so I don't know that a uh uh a pet bed that vibrates is something that my dog might not we just tear it up. Eleanor would just grab it and rip it up at this point. But that is pretty cool that they're now invented this stuff. The thing that we have is a little camera and we can watch and you push a button that throws a treat up in the air. That's amazing. That's awesome. Except for Elrower comes over and knocks it over and wants more treats, right?
Starting point is 00:57:04 It's like trying to break into an ATM. So that's what she's trying to do is break into the ATM on the back side of this camera. So anytime we log on, the camera's on its side because she slapped it over. And then we moved it up on a She is like a cat burglar, but she's a dog. She's able to climb stuff, get stuff. She's able to get out of her pen sometimes. It is crazy.
Starting point is 00:57:28 So there is that. And then there's a South Carolina dog that's 22 years old. It's the oldest dog in the world right now. Oh, my gosh. 22 years, 59 days. This dog can buy beer. That's right, you heard it here. If that dog goes into the gas station and says, I like a pack of course light,
Starting point is 00:57:44 you got to give it to it. Pebbles is a fox terrier, and she's 22 years old. How can they prove that? I know. Like, I need a doggy birth certificate. Well, there is a Guinness World Records certificate, and she does not look like she's really, really old. Because some of those dogs, you're like, just let them go. You're like owner.
Starting point is 00:58:05 They're like blind. Yeah, yeah, owner, I know. Just let her go. But we're a big dog family, obviously, and we went out of town for a couple days. We drove down to Atlanta for a couple days. and so I called up Abby and I was like Abby because somebody always
Starting point is 00:58:19 has to stay at our house if we're gone Abby can you stay at our house and watch the dogs and she's like yeah sure and so hey Abby did you feel like I was a little overboard
Starting point is 00:58:28 with all my videos all my instructions my 11 check-ins during the day and night you can say yes I mean no I didn't think it was overboard it was very helpful
Starting point is 00:58:38 I went through helpful I recorded a video tutorial on everything you did on which door, which door of the dog door, which the call. I mean, I sent her a stack of videos and I was like, okay, watch all these and study them. And then this is the food and the dog door needs to go down at this time.
Starting point is 00:58:56 And then I would check again, be like, hey, do you put the dog door down? It's a 9.30 p.m. So, but all was good, right? Yeah, it was good. Stanley was good. Yes. Well, he barked a lot in the middle of the night. That's why I was like so tired.
Starting point is 00:59:09 I woke up and I was like, is someone breaking in? What's happening? It was really funny. Were they? And he snores. No, no. But he should have been in the, you could hear him from your bedroom? Well, he, yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:20 He was. He didn't want to sleep in there in the other room. No, no, he has to. He didn't. He never told me this part. He did not sleep in there. No, if you leave him in the main house, he just barks because he thinks every leaf is a burglar. And then he snores and it pierces the walls.
Starting point is 00:59:31 You can't get him to go anywhere. What do you mean? Like, he won't listen. I'm like, Stanley, come on. He just flops down. He did. He just wanted to be on his bed in the living room. Well, Stanley's book comes out.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Not this week. I guess two and a half weeks or so June 14th Wow Stanley the dog in his first day at school Well you didn't tell me that till right now Abby Oh sorry about that wait Did she not watch that video?
Starting point is 00:59:55 Did I not make a video and say this goes here? I did put the bed in there He didn't follow me in there But then he came and woke me up You can't let the dog dictate you This is what kids are like to tell you You sound like me talking about It's like a substitute teacher
Starting point is 01:00:07 It's like no But then he came and woke me up And then I let him out And then he came back in and went on his bed finally. Okay. Like four in the morning. Otherwise, well, I didn't know all that. Everything good?
Starting point is 01:00:19 It was great. Okay. To pay you enough? Yes, it was great. I'll do it again. Did you see the ghost dog? Huh? Did she see the white ghost dog?
Starting point is 01:00:26 Probably not. I didn't know. Only I see that. Oh, only. Yeah. Thank you, Abby. You were wonderful. Yeah, thanks.
Starting point is 01:00:31 Do you guys want to hear the outbreak? Yeah. The hepatitis outbreak? Yes. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is investigating a hepatitis A outbreak. Organic Fresh strawberries. What? The federal agencies issued a statement Saturday warning about the multi-state outbreak.
Starting point is 01:00:47 So far, there have been no deaths but 17 cases and 12 hospitalizations. And they list all the states where they're coming from, but it kind of surrounds us. California, Minnesota, Canada. So people are suffering from hepatitis A, which I'm going to be honest with you. I don't know the difference in the alphabet of the hepatitis is. Me neither. What's there in ABC? I don't even know.
Starting point is 01:01:10 A, C. B and B? Well, wouldn't you say A B and C then? That's what I just said. But I feel like Hep C is the most popular that we hear about, at least. Popular. Is this junior high? We voting for homecoming queen? On like, you know, commercials that treat it with, you know, pharmaceutical companies. Hepatitis A or inflammation of the liver is a highly contagious virus that can affect liver function according to the CDC. Symptoms range from yellow skin or eyes, upset stomach vomiting, stomach pain, fever, dark urine, diarrhea, joint pain, amongst others. I mean, I had that last night.
Starting point is 01:01:42 That's not a hepatitis. That's just a night when I eat sugar. That's from the New York Post. So there's that. You know, there is ABC, D&E. Wow. Yeah, you forgot about DNA. I wasn't.
Starting point is 01:01:54 They must not be as popular. They don't get to the cool lunch table, I guess. It's popular, yeah. As long as I don't get monkey pox. You seen that? Oh, that looks bad. Well, how do you get that? Well, it's kind of going around now.
Starting point is 01:02:07 I know, but how do you get it? By, I'm making it out of the monkey. I'm not sure. Mike, can you see, I believe it's contagious as well, but not airborne, right? Yeah, I don't think, but I remember seeing a headline, but clearly it didn't spook me enough to read all about it. Yeah, you need to look at it. If you haven't seen a picture of it, that'll spook you right into reading about it. Monkey Pock's outbreak poses moderate risk to global public health, says the who. The highest risk of transmission is considered to be through direct contact with a confirmed case.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Contaminated services. Listen, I don't think I'm going to get it, but it looks. Like imagine the biggest blister you've ever had on your foot or one time I was putting hamburger. I was cooking hamburgers for me and my grandma. And she would always leave the grease in the pan for everything. That grease probably lived for as long as she did. Same grease. And so I heated it up and I took the patties and I just threw them on there when the grease is hot. Didn't realize I didn't have a shirt on.
Starting point is 01:03:01 Swin all over my chest. Burn my chest, big blisters from, you know, my Adam's apple area down to my belt line. Just full huge blisters. Now imagine those full blisters all over your hair. hands in your skin. That's what that is. It's what monkey pox is. Oh my. And then you go around hanging, who, who, who, who, who. I do not want that. That part you don't do, but it's a thing, but I don't think it's a thing. Like a thing thing. Right. Okay. Well, let me let me know when it becomes a thing thing. I will, but remember, I talked about COVID here before it was a thing thing. And I was
Starting point is 01:03:33 like, guys, I think this wasn't going to happen. Right. And you guys are like, you're crazy. I see. Yep. Yeah. I'm like, well, the only problem is this is like airborne. And and it could easily be, no, you'll never be a doctor. That's what you guys told me. We said that? Yeah, probably. No, we didn't. We said that's in China.
Starting point is 01:03:48 And look at him now, a doctor. And look at me now. It's a white poster board sign written in big, bold black letters. It says, I'm an embarrassment to my friends and family. Now Morgan's got to go and walk around for half an hour with this sign at a very, very busy traffic area here. And so Morgan,
Starting point is 01:06:59 you can take that sign and head out. And as you head out, I'll explain to our audience why you're having to go hold that sign. Maybe it's last week. I don't know, we've had so much rain that we haven't been able to do this, but we played a game, and part of the game was state capitals. And it was very insulting to some of our state capital cities that some members of the show didn't know, what state, what city? And so some program directors got their feelings hurt, and somebody had to pay. And so Morgan lost, and now she's got to go hold the sign and say she's an embarrassment because she didn't know what city is a capital of certain states that our show is in. Okay? Everybody good?
Starting point is 01:07:38 You guys are just lucky that you didn't lose the game because it could have been you holding the sign. Exactly. Could have been any of you. I have like no comments really right now about this. So we'll check in with her coming up in just a few minutes as she goes out to the traffic area. You got to think if you're in a car
Starting point is 01:07:52 and you see someone holding up a sign that says I'm going to embarrass them to my friends and family with no context. I wonder what they did. Is someone going to go up to her and ask her like, hey, what happened? I don't think so because there's no place to pull and slow down. It's just a lot of cars going by
Starting point is 01:08:05 and there's no traffic light. Yeah. So we'll check in with her, probably the next 10 minutes or so. Let's go over now and do the most important segment of the day, the big stories. Bobby's Big. Stories. South Carolina man said he had to get some milk. And so because he needed that milk, he pulled over at a food lion grocery store.
Starting point is 01:08:25 And he's like, well, I don't often do this. I'm going to go ahead and get me a lottery tickets. Won $2 million. Rarely plays. One two million dollars. Quote, I rented a milk and ate it for my morning coffee. he's like, you know, I've been seeing the news. So I did some numbers.
Starting point is 01:08:41 One, two million dollars. I mean, those are the best stories. It's like, I didn't mean to buy a ticket. I just did. Oh, those really the best stories? Are there the worst stories? They're the best stories. Pretty good.
Starting point is 01:08:49 He probably had a good attitude. Probably had that attitude like, no one was going to hold him back. Remember that one moment? She was like, I won because the one's going to stop me from winning, a minute to win it. From the movies, Top Gun Maverick debuts to $124 million weekend, which is massive anyway,
Starting point is 01:09:05 but especially considering movies have not been doing much, but this movie was supposedly pretty good. Hey, movie Mike, if you come over to the microphone, you saw this, right? Yeah. Now, a lot of hype. I mean, we waited, they kept delaying it. The first one of the most famous movies in American history
Starting point is 01:09:21 wasn't worth the 1935 year wait, whatever it was. Lived up to the hype, Top Gun 2, better than Top Gun 1. Wow. Okay. I mean, I can believe. That's an old movie. Yeah, it's the 80s. It's still so good. Yeah. Top Gun Maverick pulled in 134 million.
Starting point is 01:09:39 What's so good about it? Is it just, wow, the airplane? The action is so much better because Tom Cruise went above and beyond and making sure all the scenes were realistic, so a lot of that footage was really inside of a plane. Did you have high expectations going in? Not really. Okay.
Starting point is 01:09:53 I want to hear somebody who had really high expectations, and it came out sad. But Variety has the story, and apparently it was really great. I saw a lot of people posting, and every one of them said, the movie was amazing. and that's rare when it has a follow-up movie that was such a part of the American culture. The sonic workers in this town
Starting point is 01:10:13 had to flee from a large snake that was found behind the friar. Workers cooking burgers and tater tots at a sonic saw a humongo snake. On the phone, they described the culprit as a brown snake with diamonds on its back. Whoa, that's not good. Yeah, well, it was a ball python.
Starting point is 01:10:30 Oh, by the way. They removed it A python is not venomous. No. But can't it squeeze you today? It don't take the air out of you, won't it? You're thinking of like a snake on the Amazon or something. You know?
Starting point is 01:10:45 It can still bite you, by the way. Don't, I mean, a snake can still go, I mean, we're not poisonous either, but we can still bite you. We can beat you up pretty good. Yeah, yeah. We can bite you with our teeth, but we're just not poisonous. So they think the door was open at some point, a snake just went in. Like, there's no other way. No weird way that it got there, but they got it.
Starting point is 01:11:03 The End. That's from the AP News. Former Bachelorette, Becca Kufrin, proposes to her boyfriend, Thomas Jacobs. I really brought this up because she proposed to him, and I like that. I think it's an interesting story. Lunchbox, do you know these people from being Bachelor Nation? I believe Becca's been engaged twice since that show. Like, she was engaged on there, and then she was the Bachelorette, and then she got engaged. So this is her thing.
Starting point is 01:11:27 She entertains people by getting engaged. If this is the girl I'm thinking of, yeah, she likes that engagement. We research that, Mikey But this time she proposed When she's run out of other options You can only post a guy down on the knee in front of you so many times For you got to get down on a knee apparently If this is her
Starting point is 01:11:43 Mike's going to look it up for me She is engaged to Thomas Jacobs After less than a year of dating And she proposed The ultimate plot twist He said yes she announced on Instagram It doesn't say that she's been engaged three times But it doesn't mean she hasn't been
Starting point is 01:11:59 This is from page six let me know if Becca Kufrin is the one lunchbox Could be a different, Becca, I don't know On the Bachelorette, she got engaged On the Bachelor I believe she was engaged to the race car driver
Starting point is 01:12:15 Ari Lyondike or whatever And then now she's in So this is like her telling me something good We do it every hour She gets engaged like every year Right? Yeah This is how she keeps the viewers
Starting point is 01:12:25 All right Also in the news A man saves a toddler Running to Hug a Black Bear in the backyard. Whoa. I saw this video hilarious.
Starting point is 01:12:35 It's great. The video isn't like black and white and it's inside the house and you see the kid. And so a mother in Washington State sprinted between a cub and her own child before the toddler could give the bear a hug.
Starting point is 01:12:46 Samantha Martin of Redmond and Washington followed two-year-old Juniper outside Thursday after her daughter managed to squeak out the patio door. The video shows her calling for the kid to come back inside and then going out and she kind of turns the corner
Starting point is 01:12:59 she seized the bear grabbed her because obviously you're a kid you want to hug a bear. Honestly, I'm an adult I'd like to hug that bear if I knew it was going to buy it. Yeah. It looked cute. But the bear was snacking on bird seed that they had out on the bird feeder, then destroyed the bird feeder. And
Starting point is 01:13:15 I can't imagine doing anything that kid, right? Candice probably goes out, gives it a hug coming back inside. That's from Fox News. Also in the news, hundreds more flights were canceled yesterday. So, I mean, it was bad. Overall, more than 5,000 flights were canceled or delayed during the holiday weekend. Weather, staffing issues, COVID,
Starting point is 01:13:34 that's from Daily Beast, but a lot of people I was seeing on my feed. Ah, delayed. Ah, flights canceled. That is really sucky if it's you. If it's not you and you're watching, you don't even care. You got to suck for you. I know. It feels like we just kind of need to go into this summer travel season. Like, if you're flying, just take a few deep breaths before you go and expect the worst. Well, we drove. Which is a bummer. We went to Atlanta for a couple days and we just drove. We were like, yeah, just getting the car and go. Who cares? Somebody called after. to watch our dogs last minute.
Starting point is 01:14:01 Like, Abby, can you come watch the dogs? She's like, I'm at Kenny Chesney. I was like, okay. After that, can you come watch the dogs? Hey, Abby, how was Kenny Chesney, the concert? Was it good? Big, fun. Sorry, I was on the phone.
Starting point is 01:14:15 It was fun. Yeah. Did it meet your expectation? Yes. It was amazing. It was like the attendance record, I think. I think everybody that plays that stadium says that. Actually, yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:26 But, fair. What was the most fun part of that Kenny Chesney show? Dan and Shea? Actually, I do love Dan and Shea. I really do. I think that would be what I would be looking forward to the most. And Old Dominion. That's awesome for Kenny.
Starting point is 01:14:39 What's your favorite part of the Kenny show? The opener. No, not the opener. What are they? No. No, they're not co. It goes Carly Pierce, then Old Dominion, then Dan and Shea, then Kenny Chesney. I like Kenny fine, but if Kenny's going to get up there, play all your slow songs.
Starting point is 01:14:55 Well, you know, your favorite song with Kelsey, she came out. Yes. All I need is, just give me the. slow songs. Maybe throwing in American kids. Everybody seated the whole time. Don't blink. Do that one. Do you, you
Starting point is 01:15:08 me tequila. How's that? No, no. You and tequila make me crazy. That one's good. And then bring Dan and Chey back out. Oh. And have them do. Tequila. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I love that. It's a good show. Yeah, it was. It looked packed. It was.
Starting point is 01:15:22 It was a record. Was it annoying to get like food and stuff? Not really. You go and get a drink. I mean, I didn't get food. Did you drink beer? I did. Was it annoying to get a beer?
Starting point is 01:15:32 No. Yeah. All right. I went up to the sweet. Oh, you got a sweet. What's it like to be one of the hoity toids? Mm-hmm. They just handed me one.
Starting point is 01:15:43 Ray, did you go? That's legit. What did you think? Best part of the show? Kelsey and Kenny, that was tops. Yeah, it was pretty dope. The whole crowd was saying it too. Which one?
Starting point is 01:15:51 Half of my hometown. Oh, yeah. Because half of my hometown. Yeah, it's a good one. It's slow. Oh, that counts. Yeah. I like that.
Starting point is 01:15:58 I like slow, Kenny. All right, top songs in country music right now. Number three, Parma Lee, take my name. So take my hand, let me make you mind. I'm too waiting, taking my time. Never felt like this beat. Number two, Jason Aldine, trouble with a heartbreak. And that's the trouble with a heartbreak.
Starting point is 01:16:18 Number one, Thomas Rett, slow down summer. Number one, pop song, Harry Stiles, as it was. Number one hip-hop song, Jack Harlow, first class. Those are your big songs, nice. And those are your big stories. Thank you. Those were Bobby's big. Stories.
Starting point is 01:16:51 All right, Morgan is out. She's got a huge sign that says, I'm going to embarrass me to my friends and family. She lost a bet, lost a game, so she got to hold the sign up. So we'll check in with her next. People just have to be looking at her going, why would she ever hold that? What happened?
Starting point is 01:17:05 I'd be so curious if I saw that sign. So we'll check in with her in a minute. And also, Lunchbox called and tried to get some information on, remember the guy from Alabama, him and the woman that was running the prison, they escaped. Yes. So he called the hotel they were staying at to try to find out how much that room is to stay in. Anyway, some drama happened. We're not able to air it.
Starting point is 01:17:30 But, yeah, Wilson drama. I'll let him fill you guys in on what happened with this call. Because what we thought was a funny bit turned into like, hey, we'll press charges. against you. It's a whole situation. Okay, Morgan's out on the street and she is holding a sign and on that sign says I'm an embarrassment to my friends and family and you can watch her on our live stream if you go over to our Facebook page. Just search for the Bobby Bowen show. You can follow us over there. But she's out there now and if you happen to drive and you happen to see her, you happen to see her, be nice to
Starting point is 01:18:01 her. Oh, she's holding it. You know, hey Morgan, can you hear me at all? Because I'm looking at her and she's holding the sign like below her shoulders. I need her to hold it proudly above her head. Yeah. Hey Morgan, are people looking at you when they drive by? Yes. I've had several people give me a thumbs up, a thumbs down. Somebody stopped to take a picture of me. It's going great. Yeah, I'm watching you here on our Facebook page. And if you, yeah, just hold it above. There you go. Be proud. There she has to hold it above her head now.
Starting point is 01:18:29 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I'm trying. My arm is tired already. I wonder why someone would give her a thumbs up, though. I kind of question them as humans. If someone's holding a sign as punishment, I'm an embarrassing. to my family and friends. You go, hey, I like it. What, Morgan? I'm just getting a lot of people.
Starting point is 01:18:46 If I make eye contact, they start laughing at me because they don't know what else to do. Well, you have about 10 minutes, so stay out there and hold that sign up, and we'll have people go watch you on Facebook, and we'll see you back inside soon. Don't get hit by a car. That dump truck looked awfully close. Okay, I'll be careful.
Starting point is 01:19:01 All right, Morgan's out there. We'll check with her one more time before we go away. So I do want to update you guys on what happened here, after a show when lunchbox was following up on a segment. So back in the news a few weeks ago, the guy who was in jail, him and the woman that was basically running the jail, they escaped together.
Starting point is 01:19:21 And they traveled all over America, and we kept searching for them. And finally, I believe, in Indiana, yeah, Evansville, Indiana. And it ended tragically. But there was a hotel room that they were staying in, and lunchbox had the story that people were staying there and paying all this money to go stay there.
Starting point is 01:19:36 So he called to try to book the room. We have all this audio. We can't play because they said we couldn't play. But tell me what happened. So I called, and at first it was just kind of a joke because it was like, oh, you know, 60 people on the reservation list. I'm going to try to get on the reservation list. And I call and the lady said there are no reservations, but it's $100 a night. What is it normally?
Starting point is 01:19:55 $68 a night. So they weren't charging more for it. They are charging more. And she said a lot of people are coming to that room because they want good energy. And if you ask me, there is no such thing as good energy. Why would you want good energy staying in a room for people who escape jail? And that's what she says. She was like, I don't know what they're talking about.
Starting point is 01:20:09 It is just so weird. And I said, oh, so is it like the same furniture? She goes, oh, it's the same furniture. We didn't take any of the furniture. But we do have all the beer cans, the pizza boxes, their suitcases, their clothes, and they're going to sell them on eBay. They are? Yes. But why would someone want that?
Starting point is 01:20:27 And also, that story came and went so quickly. Like, it was interesting to us as it happened because there she is, a celebrated woman in uniform who had been greater a job and won like employee the month and year over and like five times and then there's a prisoner they fall in love she helps him escape they're on the run and it's a bit of a romantic story in the way of look at them on the run from the law and you don't want him to escape because he needs to be in jail he's a bad dude but then she ended up shooting herself and killing herself yeah now the story is tragic and sad that energy is not but how crazy is it that they, here's my thing, you're the most wanted people in America and you're kicked back drinking
Starting point is 01:21:11 beers. I don't know they were the most, they may have been the most famous right at that time. I think there were people, there are people that we want a little more than them. Okay, at that time, but I'm saying, you think you would be on your, like, on cue, like, oh my gosh, on alert. Instead, you're sitting back drinking and they had different kinds of beer, not just one kind, and they ordered Domino's pizza just so, you know. Oh, you went hard on the info. Oh, I was, I was finding out all this stuff. You're the guy that'll buy her dress, huh? Yes. And they had the suitcase full of clothes. and they were going to auction all that off on eBay at some point.
Starting point is 01:21:40 They don't know when. I'm surprised that the police don't confiscate. That's what I said. And she was like, and she did say, but what is sad is that so many people call here and yell at us like it's our fault. She was like, how are we supposed to know that they're staying at our hotel? And she was like, and everybody, and she goes, so enough is enough. People need to quit calling.
Starting point is 01:21:59 And then they said you couldn't use that audio. Yeah. Including you. That's true. You did call too. Yes, but it's crazy. They are charging more for that room, which is weird, and they are going to sell the clothes of those people,
Starting point is 01:22:09 which is weird, but I guess even weird is people who want to buy it and who want to stay in the room. Yeah. But I thought, man, we should buy, like, the pizza box or something. We should not. No, we get a mouse in your pocket, buddy? Because we ain't doing that over here. Here is, let's do voicemail number four.
Starting point is 01:22:23 This is Rick from California. I was just hoping for maybe an update on Amy's package that was delivered to her house. I thought we were going to get a final update or something around May or something. So it's almost June. So a long time ago, Amy came to me and said, hey, I want to talk about the story on the air. And I said, what's that story?
Starting point is 01:22:42 She said, well, this was sent. And I got the package. And she told me what it was with more details. And I said, Amy, I don't think you should share that story on air. She's like, really? And so we got, we almost did it. I had it on the list here things to talk about. And last minute, I was like, I don't think we should talk about it.
Starting point is 01:22:56 Seems dangerous. No, this is a year ago. Oh, okay, okay. I said, it seems dangerous. And so a few months went by, and then I was like, you know, maybe it's safe now. But then Amy talked to our head of security, and he was like, don't talk about it. It's dangerous, right? Yes.
Starting point is 01:23:10 So I said we would check back on June 1st, which is tomorrow. Yeah. To see if you wanted to update or give us any detail about the package of us sent to your house. Not yet. None? I feel like it got set back whenever, like you and lunchbox, y'all don't want to talk about what you found in your storage unit. And it's like a similar fear that like if I put something out there, then I'm the known person connected to it. And then what if they come and find me?
Starting point is 01:23:32 What if you don't say exactly what it was, but you give a judgment. general. We can general. We can generalize. Okay. How would y'all generalize? Okay. I would say when we bought the storage unit and we had seen there were a bunch of shoes and clothes, right?
Starting point is 01:23:48 When we got all the stuff out, turns out there was some stuff in there that would lead you to believe that there were some nefarious actions going on by the people that had that storage unit. What is nefarious? Like, illegal?
Starting point is 01:24:02 Is it illegal? I used to have to look things up. I wouldn't even know how to spell that, dude. Get the dictionary. So, I would say that there were things in it that were absolutely related to criminal activity. Same. What was delivered to us
Starting point is 01:24:21 or how we ended up with this box, I'm still not sure, but it was definitely not within the law. So something was sent to you that wasn't legal. Correct. Okay. See, we're getting baby steps. Did it show up?
Starting point is 01:24:36 The show doesn't even know what I'm no idea. Did it show up just like your regular mail mail mail? We have a UPS box and it was in our box. So it came through UPS? Yeah, we have, that's what we use is our primary mailing address because it looks like an apartment, but it's not. So, but it was there waiting for us. And we think maybe some activity is running through our UPS store
Starting point is 01:24:59 and somehow we ended up accidentally with the box because of a similar name mix up. Did you take it home? Yes. And it was unpacked. And did you freak out when you saw it or did it take a second to realize what it was? Everybody freaked out. And I'm not going to say what happens next.
Starting point is 01:25:14 Okay, good. You can stop it anytime. But just know that I don't have it so don't come after me. Okay, you don't have it. No, I don't have it. No, but that's the scary part. Did you call 911? I watch enough shows to know that they'll come after it.
Starting point is 01:25:29 But that was a year ago at this point. Yeah. That's why the longer we wait, the safer I get. They kind of move on with that stuff. With us, our... Somebody's probably already died for it. Our unit, I don't know what happened to the stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:43 Yeah, either are. Okay, well, there you have it. I don't know where it is. There was something else, like, that coincided... Why there's so much illegal crap happening around us? I don't know. Like, at the time, there was other things happening within our family that I literally thought I might know someone that I thought someone was using me, that I thought someone was using me,
Starting point is 01:26:00 that I knew and it was like a really connected thing, thankfully that theory was debunked and I was like, I've been watching too much crime TV, listening to too many crime podcasts, but it's definitely something that is worrisome. So we got a nibble there. Yeah. And how about, like, Mike, we'll check it back in September 1st, okay? Oh, my gosh. All right.
Starting point is 01:26:20 Morgan's on the street. Morgan, we're about to wrap this up. She's been holding a sign, a big white poster board sign that says I'm embarrassed with my friends and family. Morgan, how are you feeling right now? I mean, I'm not feeling very good about myself. One guy looked at me very disgusted and then gave me like a head nod, like he respected what I was doing but was not proud of me. What do you feel most people think?
Starting point is 01:26:41 What's the reason most people think you're out there? I don't think anyone knows. I'm getting a lot of like hands up in the air asking me what I did. And I just kind of shrug my shoulders. So I don't think any of them know. I would think if I saw a woman holding that sign out there that her husband caught her cheating and making him hold that sign. That's what I would think if I saw that Ray, what would you think if you saw that?
Starting point is 01:27:02 Well, she's smiling, so then that takes that away. But yes, it seems like an affair to me. So maybe some dudes are going to pull over or whatever. I don't know. Well, that they think she's down. She's down? Oh, like down to cheat. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:14 Okay. Why would she be out there holding the sign trying to, like, you know, make up for it? Oh, shh. So somebody just drove by, like, this has to be a... joke, right? Her mouth was like all the way dropped to the floor. She couldn't imagine what was happening.
Starting point is 01:27:32 It sounded like a dude. Yeah, it sounded like a dude. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I saw, I saw Bay, Ray's wife. She drove by. Hey, oh. Cool. That had a lot of stories. That's good. I like that. All right, Morgan, you have served your time. Go ahead and put your sign up and come on back in. Okay. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:27:53 You're welcome. Funny. Hey, this just didn't. She saw Bay. Hey, pretty cool. Going to work. All right, call us if you want. 87777-877-26-229. Back in a minute.
Starting point is 01:28:10 Let's go over and talk to Nikki who lives in Missouri. Nikki, appreciate you calling. What's going on? Morning studio. Morning. Okay. So I have a personal, tell me something good, that I wanted to share from the Memorial Day weekend.
Starting point is 01:28:27 Okay. So I went with my husband. We were riding bikes about 20 minutes from our house. And anyway, finished up our bike ride. We were tired. He handed me my wallet. And I set it on the tailgate of the truck, and we drove home. Got all the way home and then realized, oh, my gosh, where's my wallet?
Starting point is 01:28:50 So we started the drive 20 miles back to where we had ridden our bikes. I was internally panicking, like, oh, my gosh. gosh, what if I lose my ID, my debit card? I don't really carry cash, so I wasn't worried about that. We had just got married, and I just changed my name, and I was worried about having to go through the whole name change ID process all over again. So just about the time that I was freaking out internally, I got a message on Facebook from a woman who had found my wallet on the street and told me she could meet me wherever I needed to get it back from her. So I just wanted to shout out to Don in Willard, Missouri,
Starting point is 01:29:28 because that was quite literally a lifesaver on Memorial Day. So that was awesome. Yeah, that's a big deal because she definitely didn't have to go through all that of finding it, finding you, meeting up with you, and hopefully somebody will, or has done something for her like that, right? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's great.
Starting point is 01:29:47 I mean, people go, well, you shouldn't do that. Tell me something good. They didn't give her a kidney. Yeah, but imagine how much better Nikki's life is that she didn't have to go track all that crap down. You have to shut down every credit card. So, Don, if you're out there listening, we appreciate you. Nikki, thank you for sharing that story.
Starting point is 01:30:03 Yeah, thanks, guys. Have a great day. See you later. We went to Atlanta for a couple days and stayed in a hotel and watched the Batman, the Batman with Robert Pattinson. Oh, yeah. Way long. Pretty good.
Starting point is 01:30:15 Way long. Could have been two movies. Did you watch it in one city? I was just like, What did this take to shoot nine years? Because, I mean, it was so long. And yeah, we watched it in one sitting because we paid $14.99 for it. And we weren't going to not finish it.
Starting point is 01:30:29 At one point, I started falling asleep. And she's like, no, no, no, Caitlin, you have to wake up. You wanted to watch this one. So you need to stay awake. I'm glad I did. It's good. I would give it four out of five Cape Crusaders. Wow, that's good.
Starting point is 01:30:45 I would give it five out of five. It was an hour shorter. Wow. But Robert Pattinson's pretty good. Batman. The Catwoman. Can I say anything about her? Is that a spoiler, Mike?
Starting point is 01:30:56 What? What? If I say it here, it could be a spoiler. Catwoman usually is a villain. Can I talk about that? Yeah. Okay, she's not a villain in this. Catwoman's usually a bad guy, bad girl.
Starting point is 01:31:08 But she's, bad girl sounds dirty and weird. But cat, well, she's, but it's good. And she's at Zoe Kravitz. She's awesome. The Riddler. I'm not going to say anything about that. because I think part of it is you just have to figure it out yourself. It's like a Mike said it's like a crime movie as much as it is anything else.
Starting point is 01:31:24 Awesome. But like an hour and I figured it out Mike. Like an hour in and I told Caitlin, I was like, I got it. I figured it out. And she's like, yeah, I think everybody watching is figured it out by now. I was like, I don't think so. I got it. I know it is.
Starting point is 01:31:34 But it's good. It's long, but it was good. So watch that over the weekend. I sent Mike D a copy of my new show, Snake in the Grass, like an episode. It doesn't come out until for another couple months. What do you think about it? It's really good. I normally don't even like these type of shows, but I felt myself really entertained in it.
Starting point is 01:31:50 And I think it's the most comfortable you've ever looked hosting something. You know why? Because I'm naked. I didn't want to say that until now. Yeah, I'm butt naked the whole time. So that's going to be on Peacock and on USA Network, and probably not for a couple of months. But we have one episode's fully done, so Mike would tell me the truth. Or he just wouldn't say anything.
Starting point is 01:32:09 So, yeah, so Mike watched that. Amy, did you do anything over the weekend? Well, I watched some movies, but they were on Netflix. and I feel like it's been a minute since they've had some good movies out. Like what? Senior year with Rebel Wilson and I thought it was so funny and then a perfect pairing, which was like a romantic movie, sort of like the Christmas love movies, but without the Christmas. Like they just made it for summer.
Starting point is 01:32:31 Just a romance movie. But I was like, this is genius. We need more of these movies. They have a lot of those year round. They're called rom-coms. It's not really so much calm. Sorry, they're called, yeah, yeah. But I'll take the ROM and it's so good.
Starting point is 01:32:44 Like, I highly recommend both of those. Did you guys do anything summary? We went to the lake. Yeah. Yeah, for one day. And it was amazing. I tubed. I still haven't.
Starting point is 01:32:53 I need a chiropractor. You tubed? I tubed. And I tubed fast. And that's not normally my style, but we were doing a yes day with our kids. And Stashear wanted to go fast. So I had to say yes. And I am so sore.
Starting point is 01:33:06 I have like. Did you dump over and like push? No. Thankfully we didn't. But I have like tube burn on my elbow from like, you know, my elbow rubbing and my neck and my back. They hurt, but I mean, it was really fun and special for the kids. Like, even going to the lake that day was a yes day for the kids because they really wanted to go. And so we decided to load up, drive the two hours to the lake.
Starting point is 01:33:27 We got invited, so we went. Explain what a yes day is? A yes day is where, with boundaries, of course, you say yes to most things that your kids ask for. So what do they ask for? What did you give them? Oh, like gummy bears and cookies for breakfast. Mountain Dew at 10 a.m. Which Mountain Dew, like getting a yes to that in just.
Starting point is 01:33:46 general is a big deal, but 10 a.m. also. Later bedtime, downloading some games they wanted on their phone, things within boundaries. Like me tubing fast. Stevenson wanted me to go kayaking, which I normally would have definitely said no to that. But you did that too? But I was like, okay, fine. But it was the end of the day. Everyone was chilling on the dock. And then here I am out in the middle of the lake kayaking with him. So do you get a no day where everything's no, though? That's what I want. I want a no day. Nope, today's a no day. No, but it was good. It's stretched me. The kids had fun. Like, I think it was a healthy thing. But you have to set the parameters from the get-go because kids are sneaky. And my daughter's like, can I get an
