When we play his game-winning song, it's just too bad he can't really sing along. Okay. Because he doesn't know Spanish. Not too much. Here he is. Producer Eddie, everybody. So you guys know Gavin DeGraw, right?
Starting point is 00:02:18 I don't want to be anything. No, no, that I want to be right. Yeah, I'm familiar. So either he's getting hacked on his Instagram or he's just a super fan of mine. I'm not telling you, it's so weird. I got on Instagram and checked my notifications, and he's liked pictures of mine from, like, months ago. And I'm like, this is weird.
Starting point is 00:02:38 And I feel like there's a new like every week. But how many back? About two, two, three months. No, no, but how many photos back? Because two or three months. That's not hard. Yeah, like my wife doesn't. She doesn't post it on Instagram maybe once in three or four months.
Starting point is 00:02:50 So that's not a lot for her to go one back. But you, is that 10 back? Yeah. I would say it's about 10 to 15 back. That's where it starts to get a little odd. That means he's going down the whole timeline and like, oh, that's a cool picture. But why would someone who hack Gavin DeGrawl do that as their hack? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:03:07 Maybe to go to Gavin DeGraw's his Instagram page, maybe go to his DMs. I don't know. I have no idea, but it's one of the two, and I don't know which one it is. Or is this you just trying to brag that Gavin DeRall? No, no, no. If he followed me and liked my picture that I posted yesterday, cool, that's awesome. It's the older pictures, though. Yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 00:03:28 It's like when, you know, if somebody's dating somebody or when someone started to date somebody and they liked it from like two years ago accidentally, you know, they were just scrolling back and they accidentally hit the button. So what do you think? I don't think it's a hacker. Are you sure that it's really him? Blue checkmark? Blue check mark, everything. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Wow, I could ask him. I don't. How do you ask him? Don't make it awkward. Well, we don't text a lot. He texts me a funny TikTok a couple weeks ago. So I could be like, ha ha, two weeks later. Ha ha.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Hey, by the way, which is also awkward. That's funny. Let me get down to the bottom of this. Okay. All right, up next. He called Eddie out for eating rotten eggs last week. And he loves to relive as high school days. That's when he peaked.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Here he is. Lunchbox, everybody. Last week we had a story about some kid getting stuck in a claw machine. Like, and they had to, you know, get them out with the fire department. You talked about where they grabbed the toys. Yeah. How was that noise you did?
Starting point is 00:04:21 Like the claw. Like the claw goes down? Yeah. Sounds like a wrecking ball. But go ahead. Oh. Well, I went ahead and did it and I was stuck in a claw machine and I called a call company. So you called the claw company.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Saying I'm stuck in the claw machine. Got it. Here we go. Thank you for calling. Vending. I need you guys to. I see your name. number on the side of the machine. I need help.
Starting point is 00:04:44 What story are you calling from? I'm inside the claw machine. Did you say you're stuck in the claw machine? Yeah, yeah. I saw a tickle me, an Elmo, like an elbow, not tickle me Elmo, but an Elmo doll. And I saw it and I was like, oh, my kids would love that. And I decided I was going to try to climb up in the claw machine. And now I'm stuck inside the machine. I need you to get me out. Yeah. I need someone to help. Help. Help me. I'm in the machine
Starting point is 00:05:13 Okay, what store are you stuck at? I'm at the bowling alley on the east side. Do I, should I break the, do you want me to break the glass? I can kick it out. No, no, please don't do that. Please don't do that. I'm stuck inside the machine. How do I get out?
Starting point is 00:05:30 I understand. Listen, can I put you on a brief hold? Put me on hold. I'm in the machine. Just send someone to help me. Yeah, I'm working on that, sir. Listen, just, I'm going to put you on a brief. Brief hold, I'll be back with you momentarily.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Don't forget about me. What's that? Are you holding music? Yeah. Is that their whole music? Yeah. Okay, sir, are you there? Yes, I'm here.
Starting point is 00:05:56 I'm in the claw machine. Someone help. Thank you for holding. I just wanted to come back on the line and let you know. I did contact someone there at Hibling Allie and they don't see you in the claw machine. Did they come to the claw machine? They locked them. they don't see you there.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Oh yeah, because I'm not in the claw machine. I got you! All right, okay. You did get her. Have a nice day, sir. You did get her, though. I'm Beyonce, you did get her. I like that one.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Got her. You got her. You did get her. I like that one. I don't know, guys. What you mean? I mean, he's like a 40-year-old man. I know, he got her, though.
Starting point is 00:06:35 But did you hear her? He got her, though. I like that one. He got her. He got her. He got her. He got her. I like that one.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Okay, up next, this person has her hands full as a mom of two, and if you don't have your toilet paper flip the right way, she'll do it for you. Here is Amy, everybody. So back in January, I had to go record something at the IHeart studio that's on Broadway. Broadway, by the way, is in Nashville. It's kind of where everybody parties. There's a studio there. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Yeah, it's inside Jason Aldeen's bar. And so I park. You have to pay to park, though, because it's downtown. And I do my thing. I get back. I scan my little app. I pay the bill, at least I think. And then I just got some letter in the mail that I owe $70.
Starting point is 00:07:15 And it has pictures of my car, my license plate coming out of that parking garage. So it's me. I know it's me. It's me. I'm the problem. It's me. But I swear I paid it. Well, then you should have a receipt.
Starting point is 00:07:29 It's sent to your email. This is very easy to fix. All you have to do is either go to the app or go into your email. And if you have a receipt, you have to put your email address in. I'll be there. The thing is, I'm starting to feel like she didn't pay it. The thing is, I thought I paid it. I could have swore.
Starting point is 00:07:42 I would have never left there. That doesn't hold up in court. Your honor. No, no, I know. But then the thing is, it's like it was for work and I was only down there for work. And if it malfunctioned, now it's this. I don't think it malfunctioned though. Yeah, but I'm being fine.
Starting point is 00:07:55 And now it's $70. Right, right. But I don't think there was a malfunction. If you have a receipt, that's a malfunction and they'll fix it. But if you did it wrong, I think you have to pay it. Okay. I figured. I think work could probably reimburse you for whatever it cost originally.
Starting point is 00:08:08 $13. So then you're only down like $57 if it's $70. Oh, that's it. You know? Yeah. It's just one of those things. So this is just your reminder of if you're scanning out of a garage because now everybody has these QR codes. Make sure that everything registered and the payment went through.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Yeah, that's pretty normal. I usually do that. Yeah. I would say I'm normally pretty on top of it. But the QR codes, you got to admit. You would? You would? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I've never been, I've never had a late fee from a garage before. Yeah, yeah, I just, damn, what it? Hey, we're not here to dispute you. Okay, so I can not. I mean, Amy, you saying you on top of it is kind of like a, what is that called a moron? Oxy moron. That's it, oxymoron. Yeah, I would not go with straight moron.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I couldn't think of the first word. I mean, I feel like I'm pretty on top of it, but I will not expense it. Oh, you should at least try. No. I'm not even going to try. He'll try. Okay, thank you. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas.
Starting point is 00:09:03 He's into pickleball. It's all the rage. And it's great because you can play it as you age. Bobby Bones. This would be the last time that I mentioned this, but we did finish jury duty over the weekend. And there was a show like it back in the day called Joe Shmo, which is a bit different as far as like what they plan. But they put a guy into a reality show and then everybody else was an actor around them. So they kind of redid it.
Starting point is 00:09:27 But they told a guy, hey, you're going to serve a jury. It's going to be a documentary. But he's the only one. Everybody else is an actor. I finished it. And I thought it was pretty good at the beginning. By the end of it, I loved it. And I think possibly once it ended, I think it's the best show in that genre I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:09:43 Have you guys finished it? It was great. The ending was, and I don't want to say anything about the ending, but it's one of the best finale episodes I've ever seen. Yeah. So. Okay. I was recommending it. But now it's like so good that I would say, even if you don't love it to the first two or three, like, it's worth it.
Starting point is 00:10:01 It's awesome. So jury duty on Amazon, it ended. and Caitlin and I were just like, yeah, that can win an Emmy. And those shows don't really do that. But that could win an Emmy. Give it an Oscar. Give it a Grammy. Those aren't any categories they don't win in it. But it's called Jerry Duty.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Everybody's talking about it. But check it out. And that's it. Thank you very much. All right, let's get started with today's show. Everybody feeling pretty good? Yeah. Love it.
Starting point is 00:10:25 You're going to like this mailbag today, Amy, because it's about signs from the universe, which you think you get all the time. Yes. All right, let's open up the mail bag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. I just finished your Bobby cast with Alana Springsteen
Starting point is 00:10:43 and enjoyed hearing how she believes in signs. I'm in my late 30s, and I feel like I've been stuck in the same career way too long, and I want to make a change. I've been considering starting over and moving into a riding career, which I'm more passionate about, but I don't know yet how I'd make money. I recently asked for a sign,
Starting point is 00:10:59 and then this week I got an email that I'd been accepted to a rider's retreat this summer. Only 15 people got selected. I never thought I'd be chosen. Do you think it's a sign I should quit my job to start my career as a writer? Or should I give it more time to think it through after the writer's retreat? Sign, big believer in signs. No, it is not a sign to quit your job, first of all.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Amy, just stop rubbing your hands together. This is exciting. It is not a sign to quit your job. You applied for this. I probably just think you're good enough. You should just go to it. It's not a sign to quit your job. Could be.
Starting point is 00:11:29 It's not. But it could be. Here's how I would handle this sign. It is a sign. 100%. No, it's the work that she's done. She had to obviously apply to be accepted. I would also say it's a sign she was listening to this episode that you did.
Starting point is 00:11:43 That's good. Everything's not a sign. And if you look for a sign, you're going to find a sign. I'm way more rational about it. But Amy, you go ahead and do your thing and I will not interrupt. So what I see this as, I see it as an opportunity for you to go take a step in the direction towards what you truly want to do. But you're going to have to maintain some form of incomes. can support yourself. So there's going to be some overlap. But that's not a sign. That's called
Starting point is 00:12:08 you let her talk. I lied. No, it's a sign to me that Amy's saying what I said, but it's not some sign. That's a sign that's coming. You're headed in the right direction. Keep going. It's a sign to keep going. Don't stop. I agree with everything you're saying except the sign thing. It's not a sign. You applied for it. You got what you deserved. You worked hard. You wrote. You submitted. They said, yes, that's not a sign. That's called the fruits of your labor. It's called you get to make a difficult decision once you go to this writer's retreat and what you want to do. You can do both. Okay, it was a sign that she listened to your podcast. Okay, I just
Starting point is 00:12:39 don't believe in signs. Okay, that's what we... She heard she needed the sign to be reminded that someone that's writing and that's on your podcast it believes in signs. She was looking for a sign anyway. The podcast had nothing to do with it. She just said she enjoyed listening about signs. So obviously she's into signs. As someone that's into signs, I'm letting her know that the podcast is probably a sign. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Just saying, keep going. Go to the writer's retreat. You wanted a sign, you will get a sign. I'd like a sign right now. that today's going to be a good day. They didn't work like that. I really would like a sign that today's going to be a good day. Eddie blink twice and two has been my lucky number all day. Wow.
Starting point is 00:13:10 It's now a sign. I was looking for it and I got it. So you can insert anything into the sign thing. Wait, I didn't blink though. You did. You just didn't even know it. That would mean you have to wake up this morning before you even saw Eddie and you're like, okay, if Eddie blinks twice a day. No, but no, I just like it for a sign.
Starting point is 00:13:26 It's a happy blink. Okay. You can find anything you want. Cool. If you look for a sign, just do the work. I'm going to look for a sign that Bobby's a hater or all. Here you go. You want to hear.
Starting point is 00:13:34 You're watching. Just do the work. I'm listening to it. Congratulations, by the way, getting in. That's really cool. You should go do it. Pursue your dream. You got to keep making money at the same time.
Starting point is 00:13:43 You can do it both. There's a lot of sacrifice. If you want something great, you got to sacrifice something great. Sometimes that's time. Sometimes that's time with others. Good for you. Really cool. And I go give it a run.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I'm not a believer in signs. I'm a believer in hard work. That's what's up. So go get it. It doesn't mean people that believe people that believe in signs. Don't work hard. I believe people want to sign. Oh, should I do it?
Starting point is 00:14:03 You know what your sign is? Go to freaking work. Make them want you. Yeah. Here's a sign. Work this way. Arrow. Go and write.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Do whatever you want to do. Chase your dream, but keep working as well for now. And then the sign to give up is when someone will pay you enough to be able to give up your job. That's a sign. Or also a paycheck. All right. Whatever you want to call it. Signs come in steps.
Starting point is 00:14:25 This is step one. Okay. She's headed there. All right. Thank you for the email. Close it up. made on the air. Now it's about to close.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Bobby's mail tag. There's a new cereal that Kellogg's has put out. It's icy cereal. Remember the icy? Red and Blue Icey. Oh, my goodness. Kellogg's collaborated with icy. The red and blue slushies to create an icy cereal.
Starting point is 00:14:52 It has cherry and blue raspberry flavors. Oh. That sounds so good. Along with a mysterious cooling sensation. That sounds weird. It's like a menthol. That's what I was thinking, too, like Ben Gay. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:04 I was thinking mentos. Mentos isn't really... Yeah, like minty. Yeah. Mentos, is that... Yeah, Mentos, man. You know what Ben G? I mentioned Ben Gat and my wife today.
Starting point is 00:15:14 She was like, I don't know what that is. It's icy hot. She was all I know what that is. Same thing, yeah. But they not make Ben Gay anymore? No, they got Bingay. Yeah. It should be arriving in stores real soon.
Starting point is 00:15:23 So that's a food that... I don't know. That feels pretty good. I eat that cereal. Come on. It's got to be loaded with sugar. How could it not be? All those flavors.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Yeah. How could it not be? Speaking of food, Eddie has a story. Okay, go ahead. So when you were talking about your restaurant experience, I was like, ooh, this reminded me of this. Yesterday, I had a bad experience at a restaurant where I was like, should they have given us anything free? They didn't. I didn't ask for it, but that was what it was.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Yeah. And I had the same thought. When we had pizza Friday and I got the pizza, they ordered, they delivered it. I put it on the countertop and I open it up and the pizza is there. The whole pizza. Pepperonia mushroom. Was the pizza exactly as you had requested? Exactly how I.
Starting point is 00:16:03 I requested it. Same size. Same size. Same toppings, same everything. Except, it wasn't cut. I'm like, this is bizarre. How is this pizza not cut at all? It was just the whole pizza right there. And so I'm thinking like, okay, look, lucky for me, I have knives,
Starting point is 00:16:19 I have cutters, I can cut this, no problem. But what if I was at the park? What if it was a picnic? What if I was at a ballgame and I order pizza? I can't cut it. So I'm thinking like, ooh, what would we do? Could we get our money back? Could we get a free pizza? Could we get another other pizza that's cut and keep this one?
Starting point is 00:16:35 What do you think? No, I, no. That's such an inconvenience. It is. Sometimes we order pizza and it's not cut. What? Yeah, if it's like, there's a place that's like super Italian and they send the pizza and you have to cut it yourself because that's how pizza was originally made.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Oh. That's ridiculous. This pizza place isn't that kind of place. It's not like who we stay in tradition. No, I mean, it is, it's different. But I don't think you get a free anything because it wasn't cut. And also they brought it to your house. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Well, you probably have some sort of that. What if I didn't? Well, then you rip it. That's, that's what we were going to do. Yeah. And then I just got a knife and cut it. Like, no problem. But still, I thought for a second.
Starting point is 00:17:11 You don't get a free piece. They give you everything you wanted. No, it was not cut. Pizza should always come cut. This sounds a little of lunchboxy. What do you think, lunch? I think you've got a free pizza because it is very inconvenient. And if you rip it, it's uneven.
Starting point is 00:17:24 The cheese slides off. Oh, the topping can go. Oh, it's terrible. Why don't you call a pizza place? I will. And say, hey, look, we delivered it. we ordered a pizza and it wasn't cut. Can we get a free one?
Starting point is 00:17:34 Okay. What can we do because of this? How are you going to make this up to me? Oh, no. I'm not. I'm just telling you this bit to do. I know. I know what he's saying.
Starting point is 00:17:42 They might need a picture of it, Eddie. I got video. Okay. Thank you. Oh, you do? Perfect. So we got evidence. We got exhibit.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Are you just like shocked? Yeah. I'm like, what is going on here? This is crazy. That's how you know you got, you have too much time on your hands. When you're making a video, that's how you know,
Starting point is 00:17:56 life's going pretty good. Yeah. You're like, all right, let me record my pizza. That's not cut exactly right. Okay, I think nothing. They didn't mess up your time. If you order pepperoni and they sent you an olive and cheese only, that's a different situation because you don't even like it.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Absolutely. But then you can't get a free pizza. I can't believe you've gotten a pizza that wasn't cut before. That's great. Anytime we get it from this place, it's never cut. And so we have a pizza cutter at the house for this reason specifically. You need to call that place back. We also make pizzas with cauliflower crust.
Starting point is 00:18:22 You buy the cauliflower crusts from the grocery store. There's two in a box. And you put them down. and then we put the marinera sauce on it with a spoon and then we take the put the cheese my wife's way healthier than mine is we haven't done this in a while since we started in a hole 30 but then I put the pepperoni's on there
Starting point is 00:18:37 and you put it in you put it in it out you cut it with a pizza cutter or you get it out of the freezer put it in the oven and then you got to cut it. Yeah we don't do those anymore I used to I used to be tortinos a legend with tootinos that's why I stacked my freezer with okay Eddie you get nothing
Starting point is 00:18:51 lunchbox let us know yeah free pizza It's time for the good news with Bobby This kid, Nick Kelly, was about to turn 16 years old. I mean, what awareness he adds, because instead of having a big party, he's about to be 16. He's like, I want to celebrate people that have actually done something for me, that have actually cared for me. And then he went one step further, and he was like, I want to celebrate people that just don't have it as good as me.
Starting point is 00:19:19 So instead of having a party himself, he decided to feed the homeless and give out care packages. So he created first a GoFundMe page so he could put together care packages of necessities and food and a few bucks and he got 70 donors. So he had his goal of $2,500 and then on a 16th birthday, like his literal birthday, he spent the day distributing care packages for like eight hours. Wow. On his birthday. On his birthday. Who does that? Even the day before, you'd be like, that's cool, but he probably still wanted to have a birthday. But the packages had blankets and toiletry, sanitizing wipes and other items. And in the update he put on the page, he was like, hey,
Starting point is 00:19:55 you guys are all a big part of this mission. And he hopes that every. birthday, he can actually do something to give back. That's pretty cool. I don't know. Our teenagers are becoming better? I guess. Some. Yeah. Not all of them. Well, I'm not saying all of them, but I mean, not the ones we know. I don't know. And I felt like I was like trying, but I don't think I would have done that on my
Starting point is 00:20:16 16th birthday. I actually had a baseball game of my 16th birthday. We were playing Mount Ida. I turned 16. I think we lost like 13 to 1. It was a brutal game. Oof. I get hit by a pitch. Oh my gosh. And I remember being my birthday. It's terrible.
Starting point is 00:20:31 And we got crushed and then I walked up and I didn't have a car, but I worked. And I remember my mom being like, hey, you can go drive our car around. It's your 16th birthday because my permit turned into a license. And I was like, we just lost 13 to 1, 16 to 1, whatever. Why don't want to go drive around? Happy birthday to me. And I sulked all night. Oh, you didn't drive around?
Starting point is 00:20:52 I didn't care to, Eddie. Listen to music? No. We lost terribly and I got hit by a pitch. I didn't like it. I think I had two errors, too, if I remember. correct. It was just a miserable birthday. You sound like you remember every single detail.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Sounds like I do. Yeah. It's like really held on to that. All right, but shout out. Nick Kelly. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. I also want to commend Abby because she ran the half marathon for St. Jude. Abby, nice job. Oh, thank you. And so you raised a bunch of money? Yeah. And what's one of the perks they give you when you raise a bunch of money? So if you get so much, you actually get to stay in a hotel for two nights downtown.
Starting point is 00:21:25 How much did you get? Over 3,000. Wow. Yeah. So St. Jude puts you up. I'm sure they have some kind of trade out with the hotel. Uh-huh. So you go to the hotel the night before? Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:34 Uh-huh. So what happens? Checked in real quick, went up to my room. And I like busted in my room. And what I saw, it was a couple. It was a couple in there. Oh, yeah. They were sitting there.
Starting point is 00:21:45 They gave you the key to a room where people already were in. Yes. Uh-oh. I was like, I screamed. I was probably really dramatic because I was not expecting that at all. What time of evening was it? About 6.30. So you go and you beep, beep.
Starting point is 00:21:57 And I'm assuming you get right in because if you're like, B, B, B, click, and they're like, no, no, no. That kind of happens, but you went right in. Oh, no, I just went right in. And where were they sitting? One was on the couch. One was on the bed.
Starting point is 00:22:08 And did they turn around and look at you and make eye contact with you? Yes, oh, immediately. And I'm like, oh, hello. After I screamed. My mom was with me. She did the race too. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:17 And so they were like, who are you? And I was like, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. Is this, you know, the room number? And they were like, yeah, we were given the same key. And they were like, we thought that was funny because the TV came on and it said, welcome, Abby. You know how like hotel rooms do that where they greet you? Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:22:33 And it came on right before I busted in. So, oh, so right when they beeped you, the information went up to the room TV. Yes, to like welcome me. Uh-huh. And, like, I mean, there were towels on the floor. Like, they had just taken a shower. And I told them, I was like, I'm glad you were just sitting there.
Starting point is 00:22:49 Yeah. And luckily, they were up and able and thinking clearly. Yes. I went into a place once. I went to Dallas for the. ACMs that year that it was in Dallas and I got my hotel and it was late. I got my hotel key and I went up and beepie opened the door and I walk in and just the pump a bag down and start to and like lay some stuff down on the counter on the
Starting point is 00:23:09 look table because it was like a suite so there was a living room in the bedroom and I walk in and I remember thinking to myself I didn't clean this place very good but not enough to stop I was like whatever it's I'm tired so I go and I open the door and I see two suitcases it just starts to click and I look over in the bed and there are two sets of feet. That's crazy. That's crazy. And it's dark. And I'm like, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.
Starting point is 00:23:34 And shut the door quietly. Went and grabbed my stuff and just like throw it all in the pocket and then got to heck out of there. Wait, they didn't even know. You were in there? Not that I did not see them know, but it scared me so bad because I felt like they could have got up, been half asleep. Attacked you. Grabbed a gun. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:53 Or just been scared. my in-laws were coming from Tulsa-ish where they live over here, and they stopped for the night halfway in Arkansas. They left late in the evening, so they stopped halfway, and they went into a place, and they opened the door, and Caitlin's sister went into the bathroom and was like, wait, what's happening here? There was like toothbrush and about that time, if I remember correctly, somebody started screaming from inside the room.
Starting point is 00:24:20 Not one of the our people, somebody who was asleep, because they were asleep in the bed. They were like, ah! You talk about freaking out. Yeah. Everybody freaks out. I'm freaking out because you're yelling. You're yelling because you're freaking out.
Starting point is 00:24:33 Somebody in your room that shouldn't be there. But Caitlin's sister was just like, I went in the bathroom and there was all this toothpaste. But her mom and dad were also in the room. That's crazy. How does this happen so much? I don't understand. It's just putting in some wrong information.
Starting point is 00:24:50 It's just a computer. I mean, the same thing. Okay, put somebody in. Maybe it doesn't recognize the room. full and then all of a sudden you put them in, you beep the card. That's your key. Wala. It must happen a decent amount.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Gosh, I mean, it's just a reminder to do that extra lock thing up top. Oh, the latch. I always do the latch. I don't, but now I do. You should. I know I should. Yeah, I never do the latch. I do a latch.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Not so much for somebody actually coming in, but for somebody coming in purposefully to murder me. Oh, yeah. That's the real reason. Yeah, that's the real reason. So that's like next level. But yeah, it's, it feels like, you know how you walk in someone and they're sitting on the toilet and it's very awkward. You're like, oh God. That's what it feels like, but times five when you walk in at someone's room and they're sitting
Starting point is 00:25:30 there. Well, Abby, I'm glad you came out okay. Me too. I felt so bad for them. Then they tried to call down to the front desk and the phone didn't work. So I was like, I'll just go down. What kind of hotel are you staying at, Abby? This was a, it's like a five-star hotel. That's why I was very confused. Out of ten? New scale? Yeah. And the race you did good, though? You feel good about it? Don't feel that great. I can barely walk still. That's okay. I didn't really trained, so. Well, yes, that would be a problem then. Yeah. Yeah. Not good. I don't recommend it. How much money did you raise? A little over 3,000, so I'm proud of that. Did you jog the whole time? I did, yeah. Good for you. I was like as long as I can just jog. 12, 12 and a half miles or so, 13 miles or so?
Starting point is 00:26:10 Yeah, 13.1. That's a big run, and you didn't stop? No, I walked a little. And I had to run sideways because my hips hurt so bad. So I started like, you know, doing different things sideways. Yeah, because you were raising money so you didn't. We just assumed you trained. Yeah. I did about two miles. That was the farthest run I did. So go Mike. Good job. Mike did the whole marathon 26.2 miles. Did he get a hotel room? In eight minute. Mike, did you raise $3,000? He did, but no hotel. Wait, is this really? Yeah, I'm like, I'm like, are you sure this wasn't a scam? Yeah. I don't know. Maybe it was. Maybe next year, Mike, you get a hotel room.

Starting point is 00:27:57 Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield.
Starting point is 00:28:12 And in this new season of the girlfriends, oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands.
Starting point is 00:28:30 They said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Eaglewood. Next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network.
Starting point is 00:29:01 It's Will Ferrell. Woo. Woo. Woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day. And I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means.
Starting point is 00:29:14 But I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through. And I know it's a place they come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you. which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot.
Starting point is 00:29:29 He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Amy, what does Dave Ramsey say whenever you go and you're shopping for something? You say the following to get a better deal. Is that the best price you can give me? And most times they're like, wow, it actually isn't. I'll give you a better price. And when we were first told that, we were like, dang, kind of life changed. And you guys have tried that, right?
Starting point is 00:30:16 Oh, yeah. It works. It works. Right. So now here's a new one. Sales experts say to act frustrated with the salesperson. I do that all the time. In the study, researchers found that people who just got moderately upset arrived at better terms
Starting point is 00:30:29 than those who were friendly or really mad. You got to find that. Why are you checking your head, Eddie? I don't like acting mad for that. Like, if I'm going to be mad, it's because you've done me wrong. But you thought that's mad. Frustrated. Moderately frustrated.
Starting point is 00:30:41 Yes. They tended to get 15 to 20% more of a deal when there was just a hint of anger. Boom. That's because getting somewhat peeved to communicate strength without. compromising credibility. Now, this is from a psychology journal called the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology. So it's finding that like, oh, come on.
Starting point is 00:30:58 Yeah, because I need, give me an example. What's, what's your mind? Why is it you idiot? That's a good one. No, I would never say that. I don't know a mildly frustrating. Let's say lunchbox, you come in, I'm selling your car. And we've been looking at it.
Starting point is 00:31:09 We've been looking at an Ionic 6 from Hyundai. I'm like, at this Ionic 6 lunchbox, how do you feel, buddy? Man, you're just, you're not meeting me where I need to be. Like, you're not helping me out. You've got to help me. Well, I mean, this is the best I can do. Oh, you're doing my part two now? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:28 No, that's okay. Go ahead. I forgot. Feel it out. I'm going to be frustrated with him. Yeah, I'm frustrated with him. Like, man, dude, like, you understand. Like, I told you, you said you could give me a better deal.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Like, there's no need you need to charge me for that. You don't need to charge me for the cup holders. Like, that's ridiculous. Do you say I'm starting to get frustrated? No, your tone of voice starts to, and then you don't want to look at a little. It sounds like you're constipated though. No, no. You throw it a little.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Help me. Help me. Go ahead. It's sort of like you throw in some sarcasm also and they'll be like, oh, okay, like passive aggressive. It's passive aggressive sarcasm. Wow. Okay, show us an example.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Okay, sort of like there was one time I was trying to get a table, right? And the lady said, oh, the table's ready. And I go to pick it up. She's like, oh, actually, we no longer carry that table. And I can't find one in any store. So you're just going to pick a new one. I told her, so you've called every single store in the United States of America. And you couldn't find one.
Starting point is 00:32:24 She goes, well, no, actually, I haven't. And I said, okay, so what you're going to do is you're going to call every single store. You said this. Yeah. He said this is. What? Yeah. This is how you.
Starting point is 00:32:33 This is such, I'm sure he's telling the truth because he went right to this example. Go ahead. And I said, so you're going to call every single store in America. And then you can call me and tell me that the table is no longer available. I was on the phone. No, no, I was in person. Oh. And she was like.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Oh, because you're going to leave while she does all. all that. Yeah, and she's like turning red. She was like, but you know, you can pick a different. And I was like, so I can just go to the back and pick any table I want. Well, no, no, those are already sold. She said. And I said, oh, sort of like the one that I had. I already put a down payment on this table and you let someone else take it out of the store. Well, yeah, yeah, but, but you said I can pick any table. And this lady just started getting red and she started, I mean, she was, she was going to cry. Did you like that? Oh, it felt like, it said. It showed. It felt what? It showed that I had power.
Starting point is 00:33:18 I felt what? Finish that. It felt good. Yeah, okay. Wait, so what was the end result? The end result was I went home. 20 minutes later, she had found a table an hour south of town. Wow.
Starting point is 00:33:26 She called two stores and found it. But there was no more in America. We no longer carry this table. Hmm. All you got to do is push a little back, a little frustration, a little aggravation, and you get what you want. It felt what? Good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Not to get the table, because that did feel good. The power. How did it feel like when you're jik. Oh, that felt good. Yeah. Because you want to know what happened? You want the whole story? Yeah, give it to me.
Starting point is 00:33:49 So you go in and you put a down payment on the table and they say they'll call you when it's here. Two days later, I get a call that the table's there. So I go to pick up the table, but I didn't have my receipt with me. So they couldn't give it to me. Okay. So I go back the next day with my receipt. They're like, oh, that table actually wasn't for you. We called you on an accident and we gave it to someone else.
Starting point is 00:34:10 And I'm like, okay, well, I need that table. There's no more available now. That table's sold out. That's when I got frustrated. And you said what to her? I said, so you've called every store in America, every single location. Well, actually, no, I haven't. Oh, so you're telling me there is a chance.
Starting point is 00:34:28 And you got your table. Got my table. And it felt good. Bed Bath Beyond's going out of business, by the way. Oh, no. What's that? Bankruptcy. Bed Bath Beyond?
Starting point is 00:34:37 Yeah, yeah. 20% off. No, no. 20% off. Yeah, I think maybe that's why they went out. No, the coupons would get you in there. Yeah, to buy more stuff. Yeah, you'd roll into that thing,
Starting point is 00:34:47 think it looked like a manila folder-sized coupon. You're like, I got this. You saw the person with that coupon coming from a mile away. You can't put in your pocket. You got to flip it like they do, you know, when they're standing on the corner with that big arrow. And they're like pointing. They're flipping the big bed bath beyond just to get in the store.
Starting point is 00:35:00 But yeah, that's the deal. No more bed bath than beyond. They're doing liquidation sales. So if you need a bed or you need some bath or you need some beyond, right now's the time to get it. Do you get extra beyond right now? Very low, low price. Oh, no, that's going to affect Shark Tank, big time.
Starting point is 00:35:12 You really never needed the coupon, though, to be fair. What? Why? I would go in and I would go, especially when I was single. I had a middle of the year. So I was single and I would go in and I would need a lamp or a toilet seat or something. I don't even know why I'd be in there. And I'd be like, oh, I forgot my coupon. They're like, no problem. We have a thousand of these. It was just a way to get you in. Oh. Yeah. Good for you. Why Shark Tank? Because Lori Grenier, one of her things is like, I can get you into Bed Bath and Beyond. She's one of the sharks. Well, they have a whole section at Bad Bath and Beyond that says, as seen on TV. And it's all the stuff from infomercials and Shark Tank. I mean, the Scrub Daddy was.
Starting point is 00:35:45 huge at bed bath and beyond they have a lot the squatty potty urine be gone stuff you could only buy on you guys all call things that I know you're using like urine be gone and squatty party because I know those are both of you use those yeah and the scrub daddy it's like it's a sponge
Starting point is 00:36:00 that if you get hot water and it gets hard if you use cold water it's soft it is crazy and what do you scrub with it whatever I mean the table the pans oh not your body because I'm about to call bull crap on that one no no no I'm just saying like whatever temperature like I don't know if it's or cold, but that's pretty cool. Yeah, it's pretty neat. And they've made millions of dollars,
Starting point is 00:36:19 millions. Speaking of stores, a teenage grocery store employee in Pennsylvania was arrested for putting sewing needles in various foods and cleaning sponges. Oh, that's so mean. Oh, no. Pennsylvania State Police are warning shoppers after they say an employee at a Lehigh County grocery store put sewing needles in food. That's food, man, food tampering is no joke. Yeah, he's one. I remember once I, because needles is a whole different thing, but once there was another radio show and we were just a local show in Austin and somebody called rolled into another radio and they were just laughing. Ah, bye bones, can't eat. I spit in his food.
Starting point is 00:36:49 I was with the chef there. That's messed up. That's messed up. So, you know, I did? I put a needle in their food. Well, wait, you didn't? But, okay, I got a question. I'm kidding. I don't know. Does the spit bother you if you don't know about it?
Starting point is 00:37:01 It does once I know about it. Yeah, after you know about it. And the thing is, they were on the radio talking about it. They were like, we spit in all the, those hosts, ah, we got them. Disgusting. Those hosts now? Now, nowhere to be found. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:37:15 Went on vacation? Hey, who knows, you know what I mean? You know how we do around here? No? No, we know. That's right, you don't. We'll keep it like that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:25 This is Kim from New Hampshire. I heard last night that Jimmy Allen and his wife are getting divorced. So it leads me to wonder, are they the secret celebrity country couple that Reimundo predicted a year ago? I think about the fact that you said to her definitely not getting divorced. She's pregnant. So that would lead one. to believe that they're probably not the ones.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Just curious. Love you, Bobby. Love you, everyone. It is not. The one that Ray said was really ridiculous. Yeah. Yeah, I feel bad about that one. I really don't even want it to get out. Yeah, but it won't.
Starting point is 00:37:59 Yeah. Thank you. You're all good. No, it wasn't Jimmy. We hate to hear that about Jimmy. But yeah, Jimmy announced that they're getting, they're separating and that she is pregnant. I haven't heard the D word yet.
Starting point is 00:38:11 No. I've not seen that. Right. But no, it was not Jimmy and his wife. that were in the envelope that Ray said he knew who was getting divorced next. Thank you for that call. All right, let's go to Kelly and Sarasota, Florida. Morning Studio.
Starting point is 00:38:24 So last week I put some money into my IRA, and I was trying to think of different stocks that I wanted to purchase. And I thought of lunchbox, and I looked up Rolls-Royce, and that didn't seem like a very good choice. And I looked up WWE. So I purchased $5,000 worth of WWE, and so far so good. Thanks lunch. Did you ever get WWE or we still out?
Starting point is 00:38:47 No, we're good, man. We got one. Okay, well, I'll come for an update later. We got one. She bought $5,000 worth. That's the life. Let's do that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Not with you. How much are you willing to put in? Well, I mean, we'd split it three ways, right? Okay, so you're telling me you'd put in $1,700. Yeah. No. Just to say we did it, man. Why would you just want to say you did it?
Starting point is 00:39:10 Dude, did you hear how baller she sounded? No. I just called up to you. with 5,000 on WWE. What? I don't want to do it just to say it. I mean, that sounds cool. You go to the grocery store. I guess what I did today? 5,000 on WWE. That would never come up at the grocery store.
Starting point is 00:39:24 You can make it come up. All right, Abby from New York with the final voicemail. I have a morning, 20 for Amy. Why do cow milking stools only have three legs? The cows got the udder. Funny. The utter. The utter. The utter leg. I struggle.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Really? Yeah. I struggle with that one. That's it. Thank you for all the voicemails. Leave us one if you'd like. 877-Bobby. Here's Amy's pile of stories. According to Lil Yaddy, Drake's Mansion has over 10 bathrooms and all of the toilets. Play Tupac. Hit him up. Like you walk into the bathroom, the toilet seat like lifts up and this starts playing and looping as long as you're in there. Wow. What's the inside story with that? Well, I wonder, though, if maybe the song switches. every day or something.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Like that day, Lottie just went in and Tupac hit him up. Oh, no. He said he used the bathroom there multiple times. Well, maybe she's like, hit him up.
Starting point is 00:40:25 You got to go, hit him up. Don't you have some weird bathroom at your house that, I don't know. Well, it doesn't sing a song to you. But when we bought the house, we bought it from an eccentric old fella. It was like 80, but had also been in the music business,
Starting point is 00:40:41 a creative, if you will. And when he built the house, it was bizarre. it's still less kind of bizarre. We've gotten a lot of the bizariness out of it. But into the main bathroom, like you go from the living room to that main bathroom,
Starting point is 00:40:54 there is a black urinal and a black toilet, and that's the deal right there in that main bathroom. And there's also, you flip a light on, a strobe, like a strobe, multi-colored light comes on.
Starting point is 00:41:05 It's like you're in the club. It, we have, that's the one thing we've been like, let's not change that. Because it's so weird, it's so, that we're like, we have other things that are kind of weird. But that's so weird that people will just know,
Starting point is 00:41:17 obviously you guys didn't do this. But we have a urinal. And the urinal part's pretty cool. That is cool. I will admit, you don't pee on the seat if there's not a seat. That's the meme of the guy with a finger up to us. Yeah, anyway, what else you got? Would you say that golf has helped you get ahead in business?
Starting point is 00:41:32 No, I will not. I will say it drives me bonkers. Okay, well. In business, no, none. But sometimes you go golfing with businessy people or... Nope. No? Never.
Starting point is 00:41:42 I don't think I've ever been on a business golf in my life because I'm always scared to go in then I'll lose. whatever business I'm going to get because I, sometimes I suck. It's weird because sometimes I go out and I'll be real good. Sometimes I suck. And so I don't want, do you know what, though? Somebody massive in the company is coming down just to play golf with me next week. Oh, well, that's a perfect example.
Starting point is 00:42:01 This will be the only business time I've ever played. I know, oh no is right. This can be bad for all of us. Yeah. So why do you say that? Oh, well, because I just saw this whole article about how for women not knowing how to play golf can hurt them in business, especially at, the executive level.
Starting point is 00:42:17 And I was like, well, shoot, we should start investing in golf lessons. I don't know. That seems old school. Oh, they say it's still not. Who's the house? It's probably an old guy who sold me the house. Same guy. Okay, no, just a recent study was done that if you're trying to get up that corporate ladder, it may benefit you to know how to play golf and then get invited.
Starting point is 00:42:38 And if I think about it, I hear a lot of executives around here talking about golf all the time. The guy's riding gamer. Yeah. The two. Yeah, the two guys. This is what I would say about golf. It's not really the golf that matters. It's if you can spend a few hours with somebody,
Starting point is 00:42:52 you just naturally start to get closer to them because it's almost like you've been in trauma for so long, being mad at a golf ball that you trauma bond. I love how you're saying golf is a few. It's more like five. Five hours. We played in three and a half. Me Eddie and George Burge played in three and a half the other day.
Starting point is 00:43:10 We're fine. Speed golf? No. Just bad. Pick it up. Go next hole. All right. What else you got?
Starting point is 00:43:16 I hope you dance is trending thanks to Love is Blind on Netflix. I watched season one and liked it, but never even wanted to go back and watch any more of it. That was such a pandemic show to me, and it was a new concept where you fall in love with somebody you've never seen before. And that, yeah, I just have, that seems like a real goofy, cheesy show now. I guess it was then too, but it's getting massive numbers on Netflix. Oh, yeah. And so earlier in the season, two cast members, Zach and Bliss, they had an early connection. because they both loved the song
Starting point is 00:43:48 and they knew all the lyrics. This song, it's just a song. Except for Zach called her Leon Wombat or something. Anyway, but Leon had a good sense of humor about it online. But yeah, the song is trending now
Starting point is 00:44:03 because it's 23 years ago that it came out. So a lot of people had not heard it. And now because of the show, they're like, whoa, this is a jam. You know, there's a lot of songs because my wife's 12 years younger than I am. She doesn't know a lot of like the alternative stuff that I do.
Starting point is 00:44:17 I think she calls it Divorce Dad Rock. God, that's terrible. Yeah. And so she's like, we're gonna listen to some more Divorce Dad Rock? If we play cards,
Starting point is 00:44:25 whoever wins gets to pick the music from the last time. That's funny. She's like more Divorce Dad Rock? Nah, I don't like calling it that, but sure. All right, thank you. I'm Amy.
Starting point is 00:44:33 That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Yeah, home is something good. Before Eddie goes, just a reminder,
Starting point is 00:44:45 we did the same story that we're about to do yesterday. But Lunchbox was doing it. He was really giving it an effort. Really was. But in the middle of it, it's one of those big, nasty wet coughs. Oh. You want me to reenact?
Starting point is 00:44:57 No. No. But the whole story turned into why does he come into work sick all the time? He gets everybody sick here all the time. Maybe we put his desk out in the hall or something. That'd be a great idea. Well, I don't think that's it, but I like where I'm going with it, you know? So lunchbox is everybody sick, and it turned into a whole, listen to the podcast from yesterday.
Starting point is 00:45:16 So this story was lost because of what happened. His wet cough. And it's a great story, too. It's a great story. So today is Eddie's day to do his. So Eddie, we're going to go to you and you're going to do the same exact story. You got it. Okay, here with no coughs. I'm going to try my best.
Starting point is 00:45:30 No sniffles. I might be sick too, you know? Okay. Well, now, yeah, day later. Here he is, Eddie. Go ahead. So Spencer is a 13-year-old golden retriever. And he used to go to all the Boston Marathons.
Starting point is 00:45:41 With its owner, they would wave flag. It said Boston Strong. Everyone knew Spencer. Even last year, it became the official golden retriever dog of the Boston Marathon. Well, Spencer lost his battle to cancer. We lost Spencer. But now this year, there were over 100 golden retrievers that walked the last mile of the marathon in honor of Spencer. That's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:46:01 How cool you're at the marathon, you see all these dogs. You're like, what was that all about? Well, honor of Spencer. I'm pretty moved right now and be honest with you. Nothing distracting me from being moved either. I like that. Hey, I'm holding the cough. Yeah, thank you.
Starting point is 00:46:13 Thank you. It's like the town of Kyle, and I'm not sure if they did it yet, where they were trying to get the most Kyle's to show up to Kyle, Texas. Oh, there was. To break the Guinness World Record, like over 2,000 Kyle's in Kyle. Yeah, so I'm not sure. Did it happen? I know.
Starting point is 00:46:27 I was talking about it in our, we do some stuff for Austin, and she's like, everybody, your name's Kyle. I can't imagine anybody to book in a flight of like North Dakota. Kyle, do you want to go to this? Duty calls. I mean, let's go. But the same thing with these dogs. It's awesome.
Starting point is 00:46:40 They all showed up. Great story. that. Sorry. Okay, here we go. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. This is Kelly from Wisconsin who left us a voicemail. Morning studio.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Today was senior skip day at the high school I work at. And I was wondering, did you guys ever skip school when you were seniors in high school? And if so, what did you do? So our senior skip day, it wasn't allowed, but it wasn't not allowed. It was kind of like, all right, they're not going to be here. so we're not even going to say they need to be. It was just kind of an unspoken thing. So you just did it.
Starting point is 00:47:17 And you kind of were organized. I remember we all went to a park. And we were like eating food before everybody broke off and did their own stuff. I don't know who funded the food. Maybe like church or something. Oh, that's nice. And so, because it was almost like a lock-in where they wanted everybody to be safe. So they were like, we've got food.
Starting point is 00:47:34 Everybody didn't come. Most people did, though. Like, we have food. So if you're going to skip, come here. Because if they keep everybody around, nobody's off doing stupid stuff. So I remember being there And my graduating class was basically 50 people, a little less They were probably 35 of us there
Starting point is 00:47:48 And the juniors came flying up in their cars And they all had paintball guns And they were going to prank the seniors And so they started To do, do, do, do, shooting us with paintball guns And everybody's like, ah, scurrying And we heard somebody go, oh my God Like what happened?
Starting point is 00:48:07 So prom was two weeks away, maybe less than two weeks away and one of the paintballs that hit a girl right in the face, right under her eye, messed her up. For prom, she was mad, everything. Luckily, they hit her eyeball, but I remember at prom, her eye was still so, it was like the biggest black eye because some idiots came with paintball guns.
Starting point is 00:48:27 And also, aim low. If you're going to be funny about that, first of all, paintball guns, no joke, because they hit you in the eye, you're done. But you've got to go toward, like, the knees. Yeah. And so, but that's what happened, blew her face up,
Starting point is 00:48:38 and she went to prom with a mass. massive black eye. That's terrible. It was awful. It was not hilarious. It was hilarious like the year later. Yeah. Like, because I knew her because she went to the college across the street from where I went.
Starting point is 00:48:51 And I was like, remember that time you got shot? And she was like, yeah, it sucked. I was like, oh, it's kind of funny now. It's like nothing. So to me, it got kind of funnier. But that was it. We had senior skip day, but we were pretty much taken care of. And then the idiot juniors came and shot a girl in the eye.
Starting point is 00:49:05 All right, let's go to Amy with the morning corny. The morning corny. What a baristas say when they wake up to start their day? What a baristas say to wake up when they start their day? Rise and grind. That was the morning corny. Get it? I'm not telling that one.
Starting point is 00:49:26 Why? Grind. The baristas. No, no. We get it. Yeah. Rise and shine. Good.
Starting point is 00:49:32 Rise and grind. Okay. We get it. Tough ground, Amy? Yeah, I guess so. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying.

Starting point is 00:50:47 that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:51:03 I'm Anna Sinfield. And in this new season of the girlfriends, oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care.
Starting point is 00:51:19 So they take matters into their own hands. They said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone?
Starting point is 00:51:44 I'm Ago Wodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
Starting point is 00:52:11 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry. about you, which is really sweet. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Yeah. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I got a message last week. Listener was like, hey, I'm trying to get into do voiceovers. And I've been scammed by people for money.
Starting point is 00:52:57 I've taken all these lessons. I don't know what to do. Please help. So we called her right up. We put her on. We said, okay. I said, Jordan, I can help you. Jordan, are you there?
Starting point is 00:53:07 And if you are, good morning and welcome to the show. Good morning, studio. Morning. Okay. So we have a couple of the. VO examples that you sent us. How do you feel about them yourself? You're pretty proud of them?
Starting point is 00:53:19 They're okay. They're okay. First of all, I need you to have more confidence. If this is the career that you're going into, even if you don't feel it, I don't care what career you're going into. And if somebody who can help you says, how do you feel about it? It's like, I feel confident.
Starting point is 00:53:32 I feel good. I feel like, you know, this work indicates what kind of potential I have because you can say that crap and know it's not that good. Because you go, it indicates what kind of potential I have. That means it ain't where it is where you want it to be.
Starting point is 00:53:44 But it's where it's where you're, it can go. So here's what we're going to do. We're going to play a couple, Jordan. So you did a 7-Eleven commercial, a movie trailer for Big Fish, and then just like a Bobby Bone show, like what we call a sweeper that goes in between songs, right? Yeah. Why did you choose these? I really like Big Fish, and I think it's a really good movie, so I thought it would be a good way for me to kind get my movie voice out there, kind of that deeper tone. And then 7-Eleven is like a fun, spunkier kind of tone, kind of upbeat, a little more like conversational. So I wanted to be able to introduce myself in that kind of realm as well. Hold on one second, Jordan. Lunchbox, why do you
Starting point is 00:54:30 have your head in your hand? Do you already feel awkward? Yeah, this is going to be so bad. You haven't even heard it. I know. But just. her trying to, I really like Big Fish. But who cares? This is, I am just telling you this is about the... She wants to be a voiceover artist. Great. And it's about to, like, you guys haven't heard it yet. But she's also trained and she's also... Did you have a studio at your house? Jordan, how did you record these? I converted a closet into a sound room. Love it. Perfect. Yeah. That's great.
Starting point is 00:55:00 Great. No, I understand. But just her voice talking to her on the phone. Okay, but this isn't her job. She's not trying to be a phone talker. She's trying to be a voiceover artist. Okay, he's getting negative before it's even happening. There we go. You guys say, you guys say it's a great point. Hold on. No, no, hold on. You guys say that I bring cringe audio.
Starting point is 00:55:15 This is about to be cringe. 7-Eleven commercial from Jordan who wants to do VEO. Go ahead. So you think about cooking, but then you remember the fire you started last time you tried using the stove? Well, 7-Eleven has everything from delectable juicy burgers to fresh crunchy tacos. 24-7, giving you what you want, when and where you want it. 7-11. Think of it as your own personal locked-in kitchen. That's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:55:45 That's not bad at all. I mean, I give it a B-plus on the first run. Yeah, I love it. Jordan, you got a very, like, a friendly voice that sounds like that somebody you want to be friends with. A lot of friend. I'm getting a lot of friend in this. A friend vibes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:00 Yeah. Okay. I mean, I could give you a couple notes. But holy cow, for a first run, that's really good. I don't even want to go to lunchbox. He's going to be a hater for no reason. you don't think that was good? I thought scuba did a great job with the sound effects.
Starting point is 00:56:14 It's not the sound effect. No, no. But again, if she were doing the VO, whoever it is would be doing the sound effects. She wouldn't do those. I'm saying he made the sound effects louder, so you wouldn't hear her voice as much. That's not true.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Scoob, is that true? I actually lowered it so that way you could hear her. Exactly. No, he said the opposite of what you said lunchbox. Exactly. I appreciate the compliment lunchbox. Thank you. Okay, Jordan, here we go.
Starting point is 00:56:35 This is a movie trailer. Hey, Jordan, did you write these? Yeah, I did. Awesome. That's great. Yeah. Did you write the 7-Eleven commercial or did you copy that from a real commercial? No, no, I made it.
Starting point is 00:56:48 That's legit. All right, we're cooking now. Come on. All right, let's go. Here is a movie trailer for the movie Big Fish by Jordan, our listener, doing voiceover to see if she's good enough to get it going. All right, go. Coming soon to a theater near you, Big Fish. Edward Bloom is known to many for his big appetite for adventure and tall,
Starting point is 00:57:09 that leave any audience in awe. But as his last years of life approach, he still remains a huge mystery to his son Will. As Will pieces together the true picture of his father from flashbacks of his amazing adventures, the marvels of Edward Bloom unfold. Starring Albert Finney and Aaron Brockovich in Big Fish. Okay. I liked it.
Starting point is 00:57:34 I don't think you need to chase the traditional movie trailer voice, though. Which I do believe your advice to her was to not do that. But then I don't remember what. Somebody came in and was like, oh, the deep voice. And then you even said, oh, shoot, now she's going to go deep and I don't want her to go deep. Eddie, why did you do this? Yeah, I don't know. Why would you pollute the lake?
Starting point is 00:57:52 I was just saying what already exists, you know? In the land. No, the point was we didn't want her to try to do that. Yeah, so I think she got. I'm going to give her some different homework on this one. Thank you. But you know what? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:02 I felt like it's okay considering it wasn't as good as the other one because I think she was trying to go down the wrong road. you took a wrong turn. Your car still moving, but took a wrong turn. You got plenty of gas in the tank, too. So here's a Bobby Bone Show sweeper, just dry. There's no imaging, no production behind this one. Go ahead, Ray. Coming up next on the Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Pretty good. That sounds great. Okay, here's what I'm going to do, Jordan. I like where we are here. Okay. So, do you have your studio in your house? Is it easily attainable to, you know, can you make some stuff? Is it accessible, attainable, whatever you want to say?
Starting point is 00:58:36 Yeah. to have so. Okay, cool. 7-Eleven commercial. Redo it again, but give me a little more, just a little more energy. Energy, got it. Just a little more energy. I love it. You're a B-plus. You're almost an A. The Big Fish, big fish movie trailer, do it again. Use your real voice. And you don't have to be so energetic if it's not so energetic, but use your real voice. And, you know, you can hear the music behind it. We'll send you both of these back so you can hear everything behind it.
Starting point is 00:59:03 and just try not to be so announcery aside from the big voice. Like talk normal. So I am going to let you redo these. We'll revisit them tomorrow. So you got to get them recorded and send them back to Scoobo Steeds. We can get them on the air for tomorrow. And aside from that, I don't know. We have any businesses out there that...
Starting point is 00:59:25 Oh, stop. What? Are you... What? She is not good enough to for us to just start throwing businesses to her. Who is? Hello? Check check. Uh-oh, you?
Starting point is 00:59:37 Uh, is this on? Is this on? Big Fish. Coming to a theater near you. I mean, I am better than that. I mean, that was... Lunchbox, you already voice for a company. I know, but that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:59:47 Like, we can't just give... You guys are doing Make a Wish. Wait, hold on. It's not Make a Wish. It's a Help Her Out with O Wish. And Make a Wish is an official program for... Right, right. This is not that.
Starting point is 00:59:58 This is like Abby singing again. Jordan. Yes. So what we're going to do is I want you to do them again. If we have a... have any businesses out there that we want Jordan. Because what we're going to do is we're going to have Jordan cut a couple. And then she gets to put on a resume, even for the show that she did voice work for the
Starting point is 01:00:15 B'Bibone show. We'll put a couple things just on her air randomly as not part of the segment. Then she can put on a resume. She did some V-O for us. And if we have a business out there that wants to hire Jordan, even for just one read, heck, we'll play the commercial on our show. Cool. National show.
Starting point is 01:00:29 Wow, that's cool. Yeah, that's awesome. Mike, how do they get in touch with this? Mailbag address? Morgan, what is it? Mailbag at Bobbybones.com? Yes. Okay. Let's go. Mike, what should they put in the subject lines so you know what to look for? Because, you know, I don't need to get lost.
Starting point is 01:00:43 Free commercial. Yeah, just do free commercial. Okay. Put free commercial. If you're a restaurant and I don't care what town you're in. That's awesome. Hold on. If you're in Vegas, you're in Albany, Georgia, you're in outside of D.C.
Starting point is 01:00:53 Free commercial and we'll get Jordan on it. And we'll see if by the end of the week, we can get her some work. Hold on. Yes, lunchbox. Do you guys understand what you're doing is charity? That restaurants, you want them to hire her, because she's good, not because they're just going to get a free commercial. I think she's pretty good. I think she's pretty good.
Starting point is 01:01:06 Okay. So we also want to help her with her with her resume so then she can go out and get work. I'm just trying to make it that she can go out and get some work. Right. What is the fee? I don't know. We haven't negotiated that yet. Okay. Now that's what I'm talking about. I'm getting so many questions about K-9 in studio. K-9 made our opening theme song for the post show. Ray, would you mind play a little bit of that here?
Starting point is 01:01:28 This is K-9 made it, sent it. Here we go. Going hard like I'm aiming. He lives in Florida as like an aspiring rapper, but he still works a job day to day. So we said, come on up. We've been talked to him on the phone for a year. He brought his hype man in. Nasty Nate.
Starting point is 01:01:41 So Nasty Nate comes in. I got so many questions for people going, why is he blurred out? Yeah. It's a good question. He didn't even want to be on camera. I don't know if you heard how hype Nasty Nate was, though. It's the second voice here. Would you play a little bit of K-9 live with Nasty Nate?
Starting point is 01:01:56 Intro for Bobby, going hard like I'm aiming. Chilling with my boy Box and producer Ed. It's an intro for the show When you know we all read it And two and season chugging seltzers Scuba Steve Okay, Salida. He doubled on that one. Amy.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Amy. Scoba's deep. But he's blurred out Like he told on the mob. Eddie, why is he blurred out? Man, I got a note from Scuba. I guess it just came down the pipe that he didn't want to be on video.
Starting point is 01:02:26 I don't know if he's being looked for or what or he's wanted, but we blurred him out. Are we harboring a fugitive? I don't know, man. Nasty. Night's a fugitive. It's on the YouTube page. Go look at his performance.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Scuba, what's up? No, I just saw, I heard him when he was leaving. He's like, yo, I don't want to be on camera. I don't be on pictures. But wasn't he coming in as his hype man? He was, but he wasn't really hypeish. And I got the vibe that maybe he is in trouble. So to protect him, we blur him out.
Starting point is 01:02:50 You can see it. We'll repost it again. But he has blurred out like he just told on the mob. Yeah, when K9 was done, you're like, hey, come take a picture. And then Nastynates like, I'm good. and like walked away. He's like, no pictures for me.
Starting point is 01:03:04 There's never been less hype than nasty Nate, the hype man. Yeah. Amy. Eddie. He said he was a chill hype man. Amy. That's not a hype man. That's a chill man.
Starting point is 01:03:12 They say these are the most overrated movies of all time. Now, a movie can't be good, but still be overrated. Sure. Because if it's good, people are like, it's great. It can be overrated, right? So I have the top 10. Tell me if you think it's awesome or if it's overrated. Shawshank Redemption.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Awesome. Awesome. Amazing. Yeah, whoever wrote that is overrated. Not overrated. Yeah. You're overrated, the person who wrote that because that movie is one of the best of our lifetime. Tell me.
Starting point is 01:03:38 Like, of our lifetime, it's Shawshank Redemption and Forrest Gump. They're the best. And I think, did Forrest Gump knock Shawshank out of the best picture? Something like that. Same year. Something like that's all we care about. Yeah. Okay, The Dark Night, which is Batman, but it's the first one with Christian Bale.
Starting point is 01:03:54 The Dark Night, Over... Do we have to care about it, or what makes it? Well, you don't have to care of yourself, but these are all supposed to be awesome movies. And if you're like it's not awesome, then it'd be overrated. Okay. Overrated. What's wrong with you? Well, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:04:07 Is this Heath Ledger as the Joker? The Dark Night. Yeah. Okay, not overrated. That's a good one. That's a real good one. That's what I'm saying. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:15 You? Really good, not overrated. So, okay. Titanic. Oh, good. So good. So good. Amazing.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Awesome. What's the word we're supposed to say? It works. Okay. It cannot be overrated or awesome. Awesome. I'm going to go a little bit overrated. Really?
Starting point is 01:04:31 Yeah. Just a little bit. Wow. Oh, bagito. You know? Myself medals. Lunchbox? Overrated.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Yeah, I'm with you. I did think it was really good. Just a little long. Too much kissing. A lot of kissing. Yeah, I feel like I'm 10. Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Oh.
Starting point is 01:04:48 Never saw it. What? That's crazy. You have to watch that movie, dude. I don't. It's so good. I hear you. So you don't think it's overrated?
Starting point is 01:04:55 No, it's awesome. I mean, I guess it's awesome. Awesome. Yeah. Frozen. Overrated. Overrated. Overrated.
Starting point is 01:05:03 Never saw it. Yeah. You're good. You don't have to watch it. Gravity. Sandra Bullock, 2013. Mike, you ever see this one? Because this movie, I don't even know what it is.
Starting point is 01:05:12 Yeah, I saw it in theaters. You kind of have to see it in theaters to really understand it and get the feel of it. What would movie Mike say about gravity? I think for the time it was overrated because everybody went to go see it. Everybody loved it. But there's really not a whole lot to that story. She just... Didn't they barely talk in their...
Starting point is 01:05:28 just floating in space for pretty much the whole movie. Yeah. That's weird. What's the point? Her story of how she gets out of space? I never heard of this stupid thing. Sounds terrible. Well, you have. You just forgot about it. Yeah. I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 01:05:43 Overrated. Survival. Okay. La La Land. 2016. So good. Oh, I loved it. It's awesome, dude. I didn't expect it to be that good. I loved it.
Starting point is 01:05:52 What? Amy, have you seen it? You don't even know what's out, do you? You've never seen it. You don't even know what's out. Lunchbox? Never seen it. I haven't seen it because I don't want to.
Starting point is 01:06:00 It's overrated. Oh, it's so good, Amy. You can't scream overrated if you've never seen it. Okay, okay. Oh, it was so good. And I was like, that opening scene, where you're stuck in traffic? Oh, man, that's it.
Starting point is 01:06:11 I just wanted to dance. Forrest Gump. Oh, awesome. That best. Great. Awesome. The notebook. Oh, that's awesome.
Starting point is 01:06:18 That's awesome. That's so good, dude. Overrated. That's a tough one for me because I read the book before us all the movie. And the book's always better than the movie because you spend more time about the book. I'm going to go with awesome I thought I did a good job really awesome
Starting point is 01:06:31 and finally Avatar Overrated Never seen it Overrated Really? Thought it was good But it was the highest grossing movie Of all time
Starting point is 01:06:40 For a while They get beat Didn't like Avengers beat it Or gravity Did gravity beat it? Sandra Bullock Yeah avatar's overrated Huh
Starting point is 01:06:49 What's the best movie on that list Is it Forrest Gomb? Hounds down Oh shawshank redemption The Dark Night though is so good. That's so good. This show.
Starting point is 01:07:00 Overrated? Yes. Us. Eddie. Awesome. Eddie. Don't go my human. No.
Starting point is 01:07:05 Oh, you're saying. I thought you guys. I thought you guys. I think you guys. No. Overrated. Eddie. No.
Starting point is 01:07:10 Overrated. Amy. Overrated. Ray. Underrated. Oh. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:07:18 Mike D. Oh, way overrated. Okay. Morgan. I mean, is she even rated? Oh, dang. That was rated. I mean, don't.
Starting point is 01:07:29 Whatever. Why does he act like that? He's just trying to be funny. What about you? Oh, underrated, for sure. Underrated. Doesn't get enough credit. All right, thank you.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Thank you, lunchbox. What's up, everybody? Hope you had a nice day yesterday. This is the part of the day that you should be listening to because we catch up on all the news. Let's go. Bobby's B. Stories.
Starting point is 01:07:50 Elon Musk has given more celebrities. There are blue check marks back. Well, Twitter, I don't know. It's an S show. right now. It really is. It is. It's just a mess. Like, are there a lot of people that I don't even follow that that's my whole feat?
Starting point is 01:08:04 Well, that's because you're on the 4-U part. Yeah. There's two. Right. Like you said, it's a mess. There's two. So they took that, which is TikTok, and implemented it. And there's a long history of social media networks going, oh, we like what they're doing, so we're going to include it, too.
Starting point is 01:08:19 Instagram stories is Snapchat. You know, all of them are taken from all of them. but on Twitter the 4-U and the stuff I'm telling you they put on my 4-U it ain't for me I got somebody else I don't like to watch people
Starting point is 01:08:32 get punched in the face I think they know I'm around lunchbox and I'm like well that guy likes to watch people get punched in the face so let's also give it to Bobby so there's some weird stuff
Starting point is 01:08:40 on my 4-U so yes but they took everybody's check-marks away and then everybody's like cool we ain't subscribed in anyway so and then all of a sudden if you had over a million followers
Starting point is 01:08:49 you got your checkmark back and then it also said that you were a subscriber so now they're like we never subscribe and we're forced to checkmark. And so now some people are suing because it's just
Starting point is 01:08:59 a mess over there. I have my blue check mark because I bought a blue check mark probably nine months ago because it gave me the ability to edit my tweets because I typo everything. You guys text with me. I typo everything. And so I was like, I'm going to do Twitter Blue. As soon as they announced it and it gives me a chance
Starting point is 01:09:15 for 30 seconds to see if I messed it up so I can hit edit or I can go back for 30 minutes and change it. So I've had it for a while so mine never went away. But now the celebrities have it back up. I just go, yeah, I'm one of that group of celebrities. Oh, no, I'm not. They wouldn't have given me a mom back for sure.
Starting point is 01:09:29 So that's what's up. After approximately two days of purging legacy check marks, Eelan Musk is waving the white flag, according to Yahoo. It appears that he has only restored the blue check marks to users with the highest follower counts. I mean, maybe I'd have got mine back. I'm not at quite a million, but I'm close. Some people are saying it's only for a million, but there are a few. But he also put blue check marks on dead people who had over a million,
Starting point is 01:09:54 but now they died. Oh, wow. And they were taken away, but since they came back, it goes, have also been verified by phone number and they're paying for it, but it's like Norm McDonald.
Starting point is 01:10:03 It's like, people are dead. They're like, well, that's weird. Yeah. Because they just assigned them on. Anyway, it's a mess. Twitter is stupid and awesome at the same time. I'm picturing Elon with people reading off a list of names, and he's like, okay, give them a check.
Starting point is 01:10:16 Probably it was a follower account, you know, but he took them all away for a couple days. In the news, both CNN and Fox News fired somebody. yesterday for different reasons, but the reasons you can kind of draw your own conclusions, or I will just say what I think happened. That's probably my favorite thing to do.
Starting point is 01:10:36 Because there aren't exact reasons as to why, but Don Lemon was fired by CNN, and he said at no time was ever given indication that I would not be able to continue a work here. That's from ABC News. I don't know much. I feel like Don Lemon just got a little too woke. And it was all the time. I just feel like he's got a little too well.
Starting point is 01:10:54 I don't know. Maybe something happened behind the scenes. I don't know. I feel like he got a little too woke. And even a network that leans left, it just was annoying. It's just like, bro, I liked watching Dawn Limit sometimes.
Starting point is 01:11:08 But man, this has got a little too much even for me. And I'm like, man, this is too woke. I need the news. I'm not trying to. Now, with Fox News, they fired Tucker Carlson. On the other side.
Starting point is 01:11:19 Yeah. It was crazy. And probably that happened because Fox News had just had to pay out almost a billion dollars because Dominion, the voting machine company, sued them because they're like, you said our
Starting point is 01:11:32 machines were wrong and rigged in the election and they're like, we're going to go take you to court and we're going to prove that wasn't true. And so they went to the first day of court and then they were like, never mind, this is going to look terrible for us. They just settled for almost a billion bucks. And so Tucker Carlson was one of them pushing the election fraud so that I think they just fired him.
Starting point is 01:11:48 They may not say that's what it was, but there's going to be a lot of people owe a lot of money because of that saying that the election was a fraud and Dominion's like we can prove it wasn't so let's go so Don Lemon, Tucker Carlson, both sides, we're all leaving here. Maybe they just trade. I know it's interesting
Starting point is 01:12:04 it having it on the same day. Just trade, you know, trade and I kind of equalize both networks. Okay, boy that is, that's tough. It was a $1.6 billion lawsuit. That's tough. Also to get fired like Don Lemon and you didn't even know. Yeah, that's crazy.
Starting point is 01:12:21 His agent called him and told him They wouldn't even tell them after working there for that long. How do you not call somebody and tell them that you're firing them? Like who? Who's the yellow belly? Both of those situations yesterday made me so excited for the morning show to come back. This show? Well, we came back.
Starting point is 01:12:37 We're talking about it. This show? I know Apple Plus. Yeah, Apple Plus. But people aren't going to know what that means, probably. Oh, it's such a good show. Well, anyway, we're even. We're still leaving.
Starting point is 01:12:47 Both sides lost one of their best players. So now we're back to Square One. Where do you get your great ideas? When researchers ask hundreds of people where they got their best, most creative ideas, 81% of people said something actually out of the office. Number one in the car, number two in the bed, number three on the toilet, number four at a bar, and number five on the back porch from Prevention Magazine. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:07 Mine are in the shower. For some reason, most things that kind of weigh me down or a lot of the things that I have to focus on doing in the next 15 minutes to three hours to three days, I can kind of separate while I'm in the shower. And that's really where either my best or worst ideas come, but big ideas. And so I'm just butt-naked with a bar of soap, thinking of a lot of cool stuff. Wow, thanks for the visual. Yeah, you're welcome. What about you, Amy?
Starting point is 01:13:35 I would say on a hike. Eddie? Church. I'm supposed to be paying attention to the sermon, but I'm not. Oh, I thought you were inspired by that message. No, just thinking. Lunchbox? Probably on the couch, watching TV.
Starting point is 01:13:47 Yeah. Yeah, when I'm watching Shark Tank, that's when I'm watching Shark Tank, that's when I come with my ideas. No, you steal ideas from my shark tank and then you bring it in here and you go. I don't steal their ideas, but I'd like, oh, that was good, but I can do better. Yeah. So you
Starting point is 01:13:59 get, you take your ideas based off an idea that you're seeing. Maybe, some of them. Inspired. Fair enough. He had to go to court for that more probably. Being goofy when dating is a big deal, they say. According to dating site researchers, goofiness
Starting point is 01:14:15 is really sexy these days and was one of the highest characteristics of importance for landing a second date. 92% of the people who use online dating say they enjoy doing silly first dates and they don't want the conversation to be rigid and job-like. So, okay, Cupid had the story. Be goofy when dating. And what if you're whenever you date, right, whenever it is, you go back and somebody
Starting point is 01:14:36 shows up with a goofy head on. It's goofy. Yeah, I was honestly just trying to think, what is goofy? What is being goofy on a date? Like, what would you consider? If you saw that and you were single and you're like, oh, this is interesting. stupid. I would not do that. You're not going to do it.
Starting point is 01:14:51 Really? I'm not a goofy person. You could be a goofy person. I wish I were more goofy because that's just free. Yeah, silly. Yeah, I still. Fun. Yeah, I'm not under that.
Starting point is 01:15:03 Even fun. I'm not very fine. I don't know. I just wouldn't do it. I would go like, this ain't for me. I guess. I'm just not goofy. My, you know, I'm just not like, let's do something stupid.
Starting point is 01:15:15 Mostly it's like, what can we do that's efficient? We can do it in a good timely manner. also enjoy it at a great level. We can get enough rest for the next morning to be efficient again. Yeah, that's not goofy. That's not a good day? No, I don't know. Here's an easy way to prolong the battery life of your phone.
Starting point is 01:15:28 Researchers found it's best to maintain a mid-charge. That means preventing the battery from either becoming drained completely to zero or charged fully. They said the key is to keep it to about 25 to 85%. Again, that to me is goofy. I would not do that. I keep mine at 100. And when it gets a little weak, I don't go below 65. And then my gas tank doesn't go below 50%.
Starting point is 01:15:51 That's amazing. That's so weird. My phone dies and I also go to empty. Yeah. That's two different kind of people. You probably have red dots all over things soon. Very different. Yeah, like text and emails, right?
Starting point is 01:16:02 Yeah. We've done this before. Yeah, what are your numbers right now? I mean, yeah, they vary. Let's see, today. Oh, that went up quite a bit. In one day. I'm at 202 for text.
Starting point is 01:16:13 I could have swore it at 115. Even for emails, I would go crazy. Go ahead. Yeah. My email's 4,821, and my phone calls 13. I don't know what that means. Miss calls. Okay.
Starting point is 01:16:26 You don't go on over the top of that so they go away? That the red, this is the thing. The red dots there, they don't bother me. It's not, it doesn't keep me up at night. I have one email that just came in that I haven't looked at. So it says one on your phone, just one? It's just one blue dot. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:16:44 Oh, yeah, one. The number one. On the little envelope at the bottom of the, the phone just won. Yeah, it's from the Athletic Daily, which I subscribed to. And it's a bunch of stories that just came in from, it gives all the teams that you like. So a bunch of Arkansas, football, basketball, and Chicago Cubs stuff. So I'll read that and then it'll go away and then I'll wait for the next one. That's crazy. You guys are just serial killer like. No, or just just normal. Free. Nearly 15 million in gold is stolen from a high value container offloaded
Starting point is 01:17:12 from a plane that's a Toronto airport. It is a heist. It is a heist. Wow. It's a straight-up Heist. This is like Oceans 11. Thieves have pulled off a massive gold heist. Somebody on the inside. I don't know. Light attendant. Oh, for sure. Working at the desk. Yeah. Somebody working the little things. Yeah, the lights. The lights where they put the vest on and wave them in. Somebody tip somebody off. Thieves have pulled off a massive gold heist at the airport. 15 million bucks swiped from a cargo terminal. A very rare theft. On Thursday, an inspector said the container with the gold arrived on a plane. He would not say where it came from. It was unloaded. And the cargo was taken to a holding facility. The container was removed by an illegal means. Police had not yet confirmed the thieves were a professional gang, but it's so complex that it has to be. That's from Daily Mail. Dang, that's cool. I mean, I don't like it.
Starting point is 01:17:56 They stole. But I would want to know the plans. Yeah. And I would think most times that wouldn't pay off. But they had to have it right with the perfect inside tip. Dang. A family of a groom refused to attend his wedding after he and his fiancee sold a five-figure heirloom that he inherited from his late father to pay for the big day. A groom turned to the internet after his family so they weren't.
Starting point is 01:18:15 coming because he sold an heirloom that was left to him for the lavish event. The groom said he thinks the couple had every right to sell us since his father left it to him. The groom said after some discussion, they decided to sell it to pay for the wedding. His brother was all mad about it. His brother, who is also the best man, was furious and said he wanted nothing to do with the wedding. The husband to be said his brother also convinced everyone from his uncle to his cousins to skip the wedding. Ooh, that's a bad brother. Virtually none of his family members were attending the event.
Starting point is 01:18:43 I wish I knew what it was. Yeah, I want to know what it is. Daily Mail, had that article. But if it was left to him, it's kind of his right to do what he wants to do with it. For sure. It may be hurtful, and you may not understand or agree with it, but that's his. And maybe as the brother, you go buy it back. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:00 That sucks, you've got to spend that money, but maybe you go buy it back. What do you think it is? You got to guess? Bones. Yeah. His bones? Oh, his bones? Worth that much?
Starting point is 01:19:11 I don't know, dude. People pay for weird stuff on drugs less. I don't know. Perfect. According to NASA is 26 minutes. I sleep for 26 minutes. I wake up and I need like another 45 just to function. If I wake up up for 26 minutes, I don't even know where I am.
Starting point is 01:19:24 Eddie now working out yesterday, I'd fallen asleep in a chair for like 18 minutes. During the workout? No, right before. Literally right before. My eyes were blurry. I didn't know where I was for the first 20 minutes of it. Perfect nap time for you, lunchbox. Two hours.
Starting point is 01:19:37 That's going to sleep. That's like night night night. I would sleep for two hours and not know what hour. and how it related to the day. Like 7 o'clock, 7 a.m. 7 p.m. Like, that's how I would feel if I slept for two hours. Perfect nap, Amy. Oh, gosh. When I used to nap, I wish I could.
Starting point is 01:19:54 Probably like 30 minutes. Oh, you're like a nasa napper. Yeah, but I haven't been able to nap in quite some time. Eddie? One hour. A little long, maybe I can understand that. Do you set an alarm? Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:20:06 I'll sleep for hours. No, no, no, no. Nature brings you out of it. What about your kids? Nature. Sometimes they wake me up. No, I mean, they're still around the house. So you can sleep while they're there.
Starting point is 01:20:15 Yeah. I thought maybe if you went home, you just slept before they came back. No, sometimes they're home. Sometimes they're not. Just when you're tired, you're tired. So if you don't set an alarm, could the two hours turn into three some days? Yeah. Sometimes it's only 45 minutes.
Starting point is 01:20:29 Nature decides. Nature tells you when your body should wake up. Nature being you. No. Nature being nature. Like your body is in touch with nature. Tell us more about our bodies. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:40 Your body knows how much rest you need and will tell you, hey, it's time to get up. Or hey, you need to sleep more. If that's the case, I need 14 hours. You guys need to listen to your body more. Why do I think it's funny he's calling his body nature? No, nature comes, walks in the door and taps him on the show and goes, wake up, boo-boo. Like you don't sleep like with the doors open or the windows open and let the nature come in? Oh, that kind of nature.
Starting point is 01:21:02 I thought you're saying your body knows. But your body does know. Okay. Anyway, Bob Dylan's from his 1963 New York City Town Hall concert just sold for $45,000. Bob Dylan. Knock, knock, knock. I don't have a dog. Or what's another famous?
Starting point is 01:21:17 How does it feel? Yeah. All right, that's the news. Thank you. Bodies. Stories. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying.
Starting point is 01:21:30 Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement

There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Starting point is 01:22:49 I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed I will be his last target.
Starting point is 01:23:12 He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Everyone, I'm Ago Vodam. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live,
Starting point is 01:23:36 and the Big Money Players Network, it's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means. means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place
Starting point is 01:23:55 that come, look for up-and-coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar. of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that.
Starting point is 01:24:28 There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. In a video that's gone viral, a pair of what appear to be UFOs can be seen zipping around the sky in Florida, it looks. Real? It's suss, man. Really?
Starting point is 01:24:47 Yeah. I never seen anything like this before. It looks like two Haley's comments, kind of. and they're moving like over each other. But imagine what you think Haley's comment looks like. I think comes around like 80 years. Sure. Even a comet.
Starting point is 01:25:00 Didn't that be Haley's? Can be anyone's? It looks like two of them and they're like bebopping around each other. They're going up and down. I've never seen like it before. There's video on YouTube, but we can put it on our Facebook page if you want.
Starting point is 01:25:14 The orange objects were doing loop to loops in the sky in front of me, says the unidentified Lakeland resident who shot the video. I look up and I see this fire thing going down. Down, going left, going around in the circle, coming down, it's shooting up. It's just too weird. The Florida siding is among many reports that Pentagon is actively investigating. That's from Real Radio 92-1. I'm looking at it.
Starting point is 01:25:34 Whatever that is, I've never seen it before. Now, I'm not saying it's an alien spacecraft, but I kind of am. Could be. I've just never seen anything move like this before, and he's got this video. And usually they don't have video. I was watching a whole thing last night about how the moon's probably hollow. What? Because when things hit it,
Starting point is 01:25:52 It rings like a bell. Really? Like the Taco Bell bell? I don't know if it's that much, but it rings. And if it's not hollow, it doesn't have that sound. Weird. And where do you watch this? TikTok, man.
Starting point is 01:26:02 I live in that part of TikTok. Yeah. Is a guy doing basically like a TED Talk at a college. He's talking about the moon and how the moon is actually too big to be a natural Earth satellite. And our gravitational pool shouldn't have a satellite that big around us. And then he starts listing different reasons why there's some fishy about the moon. turns out it could be aliens living in there
Starting point is 01:26:23 it's hollow okay that's not what he was saying I was thinking he was saying it was hollow but aliens are I think he's saying it was hollow anything gonna be happening in there
Starting point is 01:26:33 okay wow it's like storage for stuff what if we're taking stuff from here and storing it up there I didn't think about that part Eddie that's cool it's a storage unit
Starting point is 01:26:43 you know as someone who's considering renting a storage unit now that really hits home because what if that's Earth's storage unit right come on What I'm dealing with now, and you guys can tell me if you feel like this is low class of me or not, I have a lot of signed guitars from over the years, which the past 10 years, I really haven't gotten anything signed for me.
Starting point is 01:27:02 I stopped getting things signed for me. I will get things signed, and I will give them to charity. So unless somebody sends me something signed, like Garth played his guitar up here one day, five or six years ago, and just signed it and left it for me. I didn't ask it. That's for it, but it's really cool. It's a two, Bobby. So Garth signed it. But I have a lot from over the years, and I don't have any room for them anymore.
Starting point is 01:27:20 more. Now, they say to Bobby, but can I give them away to somebody else if they say too Bobby? Yeah. Good questions. Or is that dirty dog in me? Should I put, because I don't want to rent a store you, just put it in guitars. I'm never, because I have like stuff signed by Sarah McLaughlin, which is cool. I have stuff signed by, I could just go down the list. Willie Nelson. That one's cool, too. I don't want to give that one out, but can I give them to our listeners? And would the artists, let's say they were a country artist, if they heard me doing it. it on this show, would they be like, wait, I sign that for you and now you're giving it away? Is that dirty dog?
Starting point is 01:27:57 I don't think it's dirty dog and I think to listeners, it makes sense. I don't know if any of your friends would care if it says to Bobby, but I think as for listeners it'd be really cool because if they listen, they likely, like you, to know that it says to Bobby, because they're a fan. Just scratch it out to whomever it is? No. That's funny. No, just maybe do like, include like an extra thing to them from you or something, but I think
Starting point is 01:28:17 it'd be special to them to have the, the knowing that they got the game. That's a guitar that someone gave you. Let me give you an example. I have a Darius Rucker guitar. I love Darius. Like as a dude, I'd say we're friends. We're not friends, we hang out, but I could call them at any time. I'd be like, hey, you want to do this?
Starting point is 01:28:35 I would have no problem just calling them right now. We don't make a point to hang out every few months or anything. But love Darius, that's a dude. But everyone says to Bobby Darius from a long, long time ago, can I give that away? Or am I... Like Amy said, though, it is... cool that it is yours. So that could be the story. If they're a fan of both of you all,
Starting point is 01:28:56 like this is Bobby's guitar that Darius gave that. It's pretty cool. But I'm re-gifting something. I get it, I get it. I don't think that the artist is going to care. All I know is if I gave somebody like a signed book and they donated it. Oh boy. What's up? No, I don't know what you're talking about. Like Eddie did? Yeah, remember that? Somebody found the book at
Starting point is 01:29:14 like a yard sale or the... No, it was like a half-price books or something. Even worse! I didn't do it. I wrote this whole message because Eddie's like signed this book And I was like, Eddie, you're my friend, BFF forever. And all of a sudden, someone's like, hey, I found this book. I got half-priced books. Did you do?
Starting point is 01:29:28 And I'm like, yes, that was special to Eddie. My wife was spring cleaning and she threw it in a pile. Well, that story has changed because the story used to be, you never saw the book, and I must have signed it and left it here. No. No, yes. That used to be the story. I think we found out that my wife is the one that donated it.
Starting point is 01:29:42 That's some bullcraft. That's crazy. And you know it. Let's talk to Eden real quick in New Orleans. Eden, we appreciate you calling. What's going on? Hi, morning studio. Morning.
Starting point is 01:29:54 Woohoo. Okay, so I was calling to get your opinion. I know how you feel about like overpriced aftermarket concert tickets and not buying them. But I want to know your opinion if it's like your only option. Well, I think you can sell them. I just don't. For my shows, let me explain what I'm saying here because I think it's okay to buy verified tickets that somebody else's bought if you want to pay that much. My thing with my shows is don't buy them because the show ain't.
Starting point is 01:30:20 good enough for that amount of money. So that's why I say that about me. Like if somebody buys a ticket for like 40 bucks, they're selling for 300, I'm like, don't buy it because it ain't worth 300 bucks. I ain't that funny. So that's why I say that. So I think if you want to sell your tickets to whatever, go for it. What show is it?
Starting point is 01:30:36 So it's Taylor Swift on May 6th in Nashville. And my husband and I are like huge Taylor Swift fans, but we weren't able to get like the verified fan pre-sale. So now our only option is to buy these like crazy. crazy tickets and they're like $1,000 each to sit behind the stage and you can't even see the stage. And it's like, I just can't spend two grand for that. What a thousand each ticket? Yes.
Starting point is 01:31:00 I don't know. Oof, I thought it was a thousand total and I was even like, oof. This is what I would recommend. First of all, would not get tickets for a crazy price where you cannot see everything that you want to see for any show. Secondly, I do think if you're willing to risk it, day of, you'll be able to find, it's a risk. I do think day of, you'll be able to find some better tickets.
Starting point is 01:31:19 They'll be really expensive, but probably as expensive now or a little less, but you'll be able to at least see the show. I can't justify spending all that money on a seat with limited vision, if it's a pole in front of you or if it's behind the stage. So I would say hang tight, wait until the day before, day of, I bet you can get better tickets at a crazy price, but at least you'll be able to see. So you do think, because that's what we're going to do.
Starting point is 01:31:44 We're just going to drive to Nashville from New Orleans and either, hopefully they get cheaper like that night or a lot of people have just been like parking in the parking lot and listening from outside.
Starting point is 01:31:56 So I think that's what we're going to do too. Yeah. That'd be fun. Yes, I would come up, make plans to come up, get your hotel, whatever you're going to do. And I do think online
Starting point is 01:32:04 you'll be able to find tickets better for that price or better for even a little bit cheaper day of. Okay. All right. I have one more question. Can I ask one more question?
Starting point is 01:32:14 You're ma'am. Does anyone on the show have or know anyone who has a guest house or guest bedroom that they'd be willing to rent out to us because we also don't have a place to stay. Lunch box. Yeah. Yeah. You can go stay with him. He's got a room. No. I'm booked
Starting point is 01:32:29 that weekend. My cousin's flying in for the concert. Oh, really? So, but otherwise. Otherwise, you would have been welcome. Yeah. I got a dog house. Yeah. You know, we don't know anything, but if you want to give out your Instagram handle, so make it probably DM you and say, hey, we got a place.
Starting point is 01:32:45 Yeah, absolutely. My Instagram is at Eden Buck, G-O, E-D-E-N, B-U-U-C-K, G-I-O-E. Right, E-D, that's way too much. Eden. Long, I know. B-U-U-U. B-U-U-U. No, you be U-U-U-U.
Starting point is 01:33:02 Wait, how much is she willing to pay for a room? Oh. Hold on. Hold on. Let me get this name again. Eden, B-U-U-U-C-K-K. K. K.
Starting point is 01:33:14 B-I-O-E. G-O-E. What the crap. Why is it so bad? Why is it such a bad name? Why do you got two U's in there? I don't know. It's been my whole life.
Starting point is 01:33:24 Two years? Yeah, two years. Everybody thinks I spell my own name wrong. Oh, that's really how your last name is spelled? So that's, yeah, that's my maiden name. I take it back. Why is it so bad? I take it back.
Starting point is 01:33:34 That's her name, dude. Take it back. I still wouldn't put it in my name, but I take it all back. I am a loser. It's pretty good name if you ask me. Yeah. That's great. That's beautiful.
Starting point is 01:33:42 Okay. Eden, B-U-U-C-K-G-I-O-E. It's like the name you married into is G-O-G-I-O-E? Yeah, and my husband's first name is G-O-G-O-G-O. So his name is G-O-G-O-G-O-G. Wow, that's cool. I mean, she went O-4-2 on name, bro. Dang.
Starting point is 01:33:58 Okay, Eden, we can't help you there. I can't give you advice of the tickets, but I will put this out and maybe somebody will message you at Eden B-U-U-U-C-K-B-U-U-C-B-E, okay? That's it. And tell them, let me know if they have extra tickets, too. You got it. Have you ever stabbed anyone? Juan, do you have a criminal record?
Starting point is 01:34:17 No, no, totally clean. Okay, do you ever, just be honest with me, nobody can hear this? You ever gotten to someone's medicine cabinet and stole anything that, when, you know, they're not looking? No, absolutely not. All right, she passes. That's a test. Good. Easy.
Starting point is 01:34:32 Everybody good? We know her name? Yeah. All right, thank you, Eden. Have a great day. Thanks, guys. Bye. All right, bye-bye.
Starting point is 01:34:40 It's time to play. What year was it? What year, what year was it? What year, what year, what year, what year was it? Okay, so what year was it? The number one country song is My Maria from Brooks and Dunn. The number one pop song is Mariah Carey, always be my baby. The number one movie is Independence Day with Will Smith that made a total of $816 million at the box office.
Starting point is 01:35:23 And in pop culture, Tupac was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. He was 25. The shooting occurred at 11.15 p.m. When the car carrying Shakur was stopped at a red light at East Flamingo Road. What was the year that it all happened? Dang. A lot of stuff right there. It's four, actually, yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:42 Four different things, Eddie. You really nailed it. Your analysis? Spot on. Let me know when everybody's in. I have a year. In. Oh, today's prize is awesome, too.
Starting point is 01:35:54 Lunchbox. What do you have? Independence Day came out July. 4th, 1996. So it was 1996. Eddie? I have 97. Amy? I have 95. Somebody right? It's a sandwich. It's a year sandwich.
Starting point is 01:36:09 Oh. Because you have 95, 96, 97. Two pieces of bread and the meat. Okay. So is the meat? The bread of the meat. The winner is the meat lunchbox. 1996. Nice win. Because of that, you get two claps in him. And do I get a shout out for who I went to the movie with? Independence Day, July 4th, 1996. Aaron, Forrest, Kathleen, and Lauren.
Starting point is 01:36:44 We all went. Great Hills Theater. Thank you. That's cool. Let's go Tom and New York who's on the phone. Tom, what's up, buddy? Good morning, Bobby. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:36:54 Morning. So, Bobby, I was thinking you're asking about the guitars. Why not call Darius or guards and see what they think? I ain't giving away the Garth one. Yeah, no, that one's saying, right? No, I don't want to even ask that question because that's going to be weird. What if they don't think good about it? And also, Tom, I think they'd be like, yeah, well, I don't care.
Starting point is 01:37:14 but then they probably hang up and be like, I care. You know what I mean? I got you. So I appreciate that. But if you're good friends with them, you're good friends with us, they might give you the news. I'm good friends with Eddie, and he gave away something I gave him, and I was hurt.
Starting point is 01:37:26 I didn't give it away, though. My wife did. By accident. Yeah, it's just easy to punt that over to her. No, that's what happened. She's not here to defend herself. Tom, I appreciate that. I'll think about it.
Starting point is 01:37:38 I don't know what I want to do, but I either have to get a storage unit or give some away. And I just feel like a dirty dog giving them away. So I got to make a decision today, actually. Ooh. Oh. I know.
Starting point is 01:37:50 Thank you, Tom. Hope you have a great day. You're awesome. All right. See you, buddy. Well, tomorrow we're going to reveal what was in the storage unit that we put in. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:03 Wow, we've been waiting for this. Tomorrow on the show, lunchbox and I had a little talk, we've decided that it's been enough time since we bought the storage unit. We sold all the stuff out of what we could sell. but there was stuff in it that we couldn't and we didn't feel comfortable sharing because we thought it would possibly get us in trouble or the person we bought it from would figure out it was theirs
Starting point is 01:38:23 and come after us. So I feel comfortable. If you feel comfortable? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've talked it over with our lawyers. We don't have lawyers. Where is it now? This stuff.
Starting point is 01:38:32 Oh, yeah, that's a good question. I don't know. You don't want to know. Do you have it? No comment. Okay. Okay. I never read any of it.
Starting point is 01:38:40 Especially if it's, is it illegal? Well, we'll tell you tomorrow on the show. I feel like that's what we're going to do. Now we're giving police a 24-hour heads-up to listen. Well, they didn't know that until now. We didn't say it needed to be listened to by police. Oh, just kidding. I have this aura ring.
Starting point is 01:39:02 You guys familiar with an aura ring? Oh, it's like a moot ring. No, it checks your... For me, I use it for sleep. It tells me how much I actually slept. If I get good sleep, medium, sleep, bad sleep. I struggle with sleep. And so my wife got me this
Starting point is 01:39:15 Because she had it for months And it was like I really think it's wonderful It's not some This is not a commercial by the way I have no deal with ORA I'm not even sure that's how you say it O-U-R-A And so I have it
Starting point is 01:39:27 And I didn't do the Or they send you one and you size it We just kind of guessed to size And so we guessed And it was pretty right to go And I was wearing it on my same finger As my wedding ring And then she was like
Starting point is 01:39:39 Just wear it as your wedding ring It looks the same thing I usually just wear a rubber band A red one But then I took it off and put the black or ring on. And it's great because I get on the app and it tells me like how much I slept. Like I said, how good I slept, what time I need to probably go to bed, what my score is, my readiness score for the day based on, it's all this stuff.
Starting point is 01:39:59 Not too granular, but still it's a lot of information. So I put it on this wedding finger, but then my finger like started to lose weight or something. And I have lost about 10 pounds, 10, 11 pounds, because I did. Whole 30, which I ate more. I didn't eat less. And I've just decided I'm not going to eat after dinner anymore. Like no snacking. I think that kills me. And also I don't sleep well because my stomach is trying to digest stuff. Yeah. So I'm off whole 30, which I thought was great for my stomach and my digestive because I've had issues there. But I'm just like after dinner I shut it down. No snacking. That's been really good for me too. And maybe that's what it was because again,
Starting point is 01:40:32 I've lost like 10 or 11 pounds, like good healthy pounds. So I put it on this finger. I lost weight. Then it was just like fall off. Who knew my finger could lose weight. So then I put it on my pointer and it fit up my pointer finger pretty good. And slightly tight, but it was okay. I woke up this morning, my finger was throbbing, and I couldn't get it off my pointer finger. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:40:56 I slept, and my fingers, I didn't mean your fingers swell up when you sleep. Did you guys know that? Like weather, like when it's cold, my finger gets skinnier. Yeah, when it's hot swells. No, no, it's all puffy. It wasn't even hot.
Starting point is 01:41:07 I don't know. I woke up and I couldn't get it off, and it was like, bleak. Did you eat a lot of sodium yesterday? No, but I'll think you're my finger fat. And so I put a bunch of dawn liquid on my finger. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:18 Just covered it in dawn and then just fought it. Just fought to get it off. And finally I got it off. But then I looked and I said, why is my finger fat? Not the thing to text it first. Not thinking to Google first. But I said, then I changed it to why did my fingers swell up? And so apparently when you sleep, one, your hands can just swell from the sleeping.
Starting point is 01:41:39 But lying still overnight can cause fluid to build up in the tissues of the hands. resulting in sweating. So if you wake up and your hands feel fat, that's what it is. If your bed isn't level, a different way, or you sleep on top of your hands
Starting point is 01:41:50 with your wrists being bent, you could have really swollen hands. Now, that feels like it would hurt. I don't think I would do that. And I sleep fetally for most of the night. Like in a little... I turn on my side, yeah.
Starting point is 01:42:03 And then I put my thumbs in my mouth and I just go to sleep. That's cute. Yeah, yeah. But then I also sleep with one of my hands over my head, just one. And I put it under the pillow. So that's like 30% of my night.
Starting point is 01:42:14 70% fetally, 30% one handover. But I woke up and got old fat fingers, bones here, having a heck of a morning. I thought I was going to have to cut it off. Oh, really? My finger. Because I want to keep the ring. I think it's not cheap. Okay, so tomorrow we're going to do the deal where we share what was in the storage unit.
Starting point is 01:42:32 I feel good about that. I feel like it's been too long. They won't care, right? No. They're not going to murder us. We let Tim, our security guy, know, right? We're going to say to guard us while we're here. That'll be tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:42:42 otherwise appreciate you guys Bobby Bones show Boney up the day This story comes to us from Beauford, Georgia two men walked into a store stole $8,000 worth of items jumped into Tesla and drove off
Starting point is 01:42:56 People are like, man, how are we going to catch them? Well, they drove about 15 minutes realized they needed a charge stopped at a charging station. Yeah, well... Yeah, if you don't know, you don't know, and then also if you get in and you look and it's like
Starting point is 01:43:10 9% you can only go so far they don't have mofies for like Tesla's yet that's funny it's a mofie it's like a battery pack that you carry
Starting point is 01:43:20 just plug in your car in your suitcase you know yeah but they have charging stations everywhere so why would you need it no no this is one that portable like so while you're driving you charge from the inside
Starting point is 01:43:29 there you go eventually that'll probably be a thing the version of that now is a supercharger because they're charging stations but there's also superchargers that take an hour instead of like three
Starting point is 01:43:39 but at home it takes like eight. Eight hours. Whoa. Yeah, but here's the thing. You just do it overnight, and then you have a week. Oh.
Starting point is 01:43:47 So like the ones at Target, I see those a lot? Superchargers. Okay, because I see a lot of Tesla's parked there. Do you have to pay for those? No. They're free? That's nice. Well, I even put a charger in your house.
Starting point is 01:43:57 Yeah, why would you charge your house? Because you can just go to bed and charge it. You're going to Target every day? Yeah, you got to, every day you're going to Cracker Barrel to find their charger. I mean, like, electricity-wise, I'm saying your bill has to be sky high. Nope. We used to have one. Not really at all.
Starting point is 01:44:10 And the only thing that costs money is putting that, you know, the big outlet that you have for your washer and dryer. Yeah, yeah. It's doing that so enough can get there, but it ain't a big deal. Then you drive for a week, week and a half, nothing, no gas. That's cool. That's pretty cool. That's it. Or you get a bike.
Starting point is 01:44:25 Or you get a bike. Or don't steal one. And also, if you take a Tesla, they know where you are. Oh, it's tracked. Yes. Oh, man. And they can also lock the doors on you and do like bait car. Bate car, man.
Starting point is 01:44:36 I wish they made that again. They need to bring that back. You know, they make all these shows. Why don't they remake that one? Because bait car, like a criminal, would try to steal a car, and they would just lock it while they were in there. Yeah, yeah, they would leave the keys in it
Starting point is 01:44:46 and leave it unlocked, and then people would walk by, and they'd like, oh, and then they'd steal it, and then they'd, all right, shut it down. Bate car. Did they have, like, a jingle, or some kind of sound when they got them? I mean, you would hear the, Baccar!
Starting point is 01:45:00 So fun. I mean, they'd go pick up their friends. Hey, hey, we've got a car. We've turned this to a segment about us. Yeah. This is about the bonehead. All right, go ahead. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the day.
Starting point is 01:45:10 A guy was celebrating because he hit the lottery and his ticket nearly flew out the window of his car. That's funny. Boy, what if that happens? I'll give you the story. Then what if you happens and you lose it? You know you won and then you lose it. The Michigan lottery said the guy, 49 years old,
Starting point is 01:45:25 was on a road trip with his wife who bought a ticket. They were on their way home. Quote, the next day my wife checked the ticket on her way home and started screaming, she realized we had won the jackpot. I started sweating and told me how much we won. So I rolled down the window. ticket almost flew out the window. Thankfully, my wife grabbed it as it was like, she grabbed quick reflexes, then they put it in a safe spot. Now that's from UPI. Now lunchbox, you're
Starting point is 01:45:46 Mr. Lottery. Let's say that happens to you and you lose it and the ticket flies out your window and it's for half a million dollars. What's up? Oh, man. I mean, I'm probably going to pull over the side of the road and I'm going to try to chase it down the highway. What if you don't know where it went? Like all of a sudden the windows down, it's just gone. And you're like, oh no. And you don't know, it could have been the last 50 miles. I wouldn't, I mean, I'd probably be sick for months. I don't think it's in your life. Okay, a million. No, not in your life.
Starting point is 01:46:12 Because taxes, $500,000. So if it was... Now you're thinking right. I think I've conditioned him to think about taxes. Yeah, go ahead. If it was $10 million? Yeah. That'd be over.
Starting point is 01:46:20 That's it. Yeah. Is that the bottom level? Yeah. 10 million. Yeah, because $5 million, like, because that's taxes. You'd lose half.
Starting point is 01:46:27 You say. $1.5 million. That's a lot of money. No, no, I'm saying. Like, at $5 million. At $5 million, you can live for the rest of your life. So, you don't have to work. So if you lost a $10 million ticket
Starting point is 01:46:37 It'd be over You would do what? Peace out! You pull over the car or would you go home? I don't need to pull over the car, just crash it. Oh. There you have it, everyone. Don't waste time.
Starting point is 01:46:47 By the way, just a little something from us. He's an idiot and we do not agree with that. And also, I don't think he agrees with that either. I think he's just being dramatic. I mean, just imagine if $500,000 flew out your car window, like this ticket is. Yeah, I'd be very upset. I would, oh my.
Starting point is 01:47:02 I'd be puking. And it's a piece of paper, so it's, It could be wet, could be torn up by the time you get back on the side of the road. It's not even... Luckily, they caught it,
Starting point is 01:47:10 but you know they keep thinking about what if. Like, what if in a bad way? What if that thing would have got out the window? What if? All right, that's it. See you guys.
