Starting point is 00:01:58 your podcast. Come on, Bobby. Transmitting. Hey, welcome to Tuesday's show. Morning, studio. Morning. All right, let's go around the room, get to know. What law do you think needs to be made?
Starting point is 00:02:21 That's the question. You can interpret it however you want. What law do you think needs to be made? Amy? It's illegal or ticketable or whatever if you flip somebody off while you're driving. Oh. Is that because you get flipped off a lot?
Starting point is 00:02:35 Yeah, I think it's rude. No, no, but I'm saying I agree it is rude. Yeah, it's rude. I have been. I think it's distracting. No, but I'm saying people probably do that too. I'm not even justifying it because you sometimes aren't the best driver. Yeah, no, I've been flipped off when it's even their fault. Are you sure it's their fault? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So if you flip off.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Yeah, I think it's. And we can get evidence of it somehow. Yeah, we can do better. And they get ticketed. Yeah. Got it. If you flip off a cop, though, we'll hear like arrest you. Yeah, that's a great question. Are you allowed to flip off a cop? Mostly don't win because it's freedom of expression. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:09 And also, what does a finger up even mean? And how can you... But we know what it means. No, I know, but it only means this in a certain defined part of the world. Like, you can cross whatever, you know, mysterious state line there is, country line, and it doesn't mean the same thing. Right, but here, we know what it means. I hear you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:28 I think the law needs to be made of, once you make a charger and the plug-in to a certain thing, you can't change it. Because we're all screwed. Oh, please. because of my Apple products, phone or computer, I got to find different like male parts to go into the female parts. Male meaning sometimes it's like a very thin thing. Sometimes it's like a double thing.
Starting point is 00:03:47 And so I got charges everywhere. I don't know what plugs into what. Like there should be like a five year rule. If you start with this charger, five years. But then if you make a new one, it needs to allow the old one to still work inside of it, but you can only make new ones going forward. Right. That's so good.
Starting point is 00:04:01 It's so stupid. We have multiple Apple chargers plugging into all of our crap. And I'm like, have you seen the thick one? That's what I asked my wife. She's like, what do you mean? The charger. No, I got a thin one, though. I'm like, dang.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Lunchbox. No more tip lines at every restaurant. Got to do away with it. Everywhere you go, someone wants a tip. I mean, we need to outlaw the asking for a tip at every place you go. If on our IHeartRadio app, if we had a tip line where people could tip you while listening. I'd take it. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Very good. But you know you outlawed it. Sorry, we don't get tips. So, I mean, if we're not going to get tips, we provide probably the best service there is out there in this world. We disagree with that statement. But I hear you. Okay, maybe doctors. Maybe doctors.
Starting point is 00:04:46 That's about it. Yeah. You don't tip doctors. Isn't that interesting? How doctors are saving your life. But they're getting a full salary. They're getting a full salary. You don't tip a doctor, but someone at the sub shop makes you a sandwich and they put extra tomatoes on there and they want a tip.
Starting point is 00:05:01 That's worth a tip, though. If we're going to be extra, if I give you extra. He's apples and oranges right now. They're not even the same thing. But if there's a tip line on you, you take it. Like, you have a heart attack and an ambulance shows up and they save your life. Do you tip that EMS worker? Nope, you say, thank you, have a good day.
Starting point is 00:05:18 Can you imagine? The barista, the barista gets you at Capacino-Mocacino. The difference is that those are people that have the ability to pay their own bills and have, they can pay their own mortgage. When a lot of jobs in the United States, you can work six, eight hours, and you can't afford what the median household pays for a mortgage. Like that would be the difference. I got the visual of the ambulance guy going like, hey, thank you very much, his hands out.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Exactly. Holds a bucket. That's all I'm saying. No, not exactly. I mean, that's the difference. I feel like a lot of times, too, the parts where we're tipping is like they're doing things that we could potentially do for ourselves, but we're choosing to go have someone else to do it for us. We normally couldn't save our own lives, but we could make our own sandwich. We could move ourselves.
Starting point is 00:06:03 If I go somewhere, they can make my sandwich for me if I'm paying them to do that. And I do a great tipping culture is out of control, but I have no problem with somebody just putting it. It doesn't hurt me that they put a tip line there. You can just say, no, thank you. If you want to. But it doesn't hurt me one bit. Nothing is lost from me when they put a tip somewhere that doesn't need to be tipped. Nothing, nothing at all.
Starting point is 00:06:21 But it can actually help people. So I guess that's my problem with that. But I hear you. It's your law, man. Thank you. Eddie? Bad parking. If anyone parks over the line, call the cops.
Starting point is 00:06:32 I'm out. rested every third day. Yeah, I didn't get out of here. Call the cops or tow. People don't take that serious. Like, if you I do, I just can't park. You've got to figure it out. No, no, I do. It's like my 16 year old son. He's learned how to drive right now. We're in parking
Starting point is 00:06:44 lots every day. You need to learn how to park. Why do you think I always drive a small car? Part of us, because I can't park. And my wife, and I think probably the dudes on the show drive mostly, because you guys brag. Let's watch you drive. Yeah. If I'm in the car, 99% in time I'm driving. I like my wife to drive because
Starting point is 00:07:00 I can't park. And I don't want to go back. Am I close to that? I'm over the line? Yeah, hold on. Back up. She's like, I can't even get out. I don't have enough room on my side. So I don't even drive. That's why your parking spot here, you literally drive straight into it. That's why I picked it. You come in the garage and it's right.
Starting point is 00:07:15 It's a straight shot. Do you not worry about people judging you that your wife is driving you around? I do not care. Oh, boy. I don't think anybody's even judging me. If I see a woman driving over the guy, I'm like, something wrong in that relationship. Time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air.
Starting point is 00:07:36 It's something we call Bobby Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. I got three kids, five, eight, and 14. Family vacation's coming up. We're going to Disney. My 14-year-old's been struggling with his grades all year. Smart kid hasn't applied himself, getting bad grades. We said, if you don't get back to a C, as far as the average of your grades,
Starting point is 00:07:56 you'll be missing out on summer plans, including vacation. Well, we just spoke to his teacher. and his grades are not good. It will take a lot of extra credit and an excellent final exam for him to get that C average. If he doesn't reach the C average, my husband wants us to leave him behind
Starting point is 00:08:15 with his parents. I think that's too harsh. My husband thinks this will stick with him forever. Yeah. What do you think? Should we teach him a lesson and not allow him to go to Disney with the family
Starting point is 00:08:26 if he doesn't get a C average? Signed, Mom of Reason. As a non-parent, I'm going to get my opinion out of the way because it's just stupid. Go ahead. So as a non-parent. It's not even about kids,
Starting point is 00:08:36 but I think if you set a boundary and then you allow that boundary to be broken, that's just bad forever. The kids are different. I don't have kids, but I'm just, with anybody, if you say, if you do this, you'll either get this or you'll lose this,
Starting point is 00:08:47 and they do that, and they either don't get that or they lose that. Why would they ever trust ever again in the history of their life that any boundary that you're creating is going to be enforced? Good or bad. I don't have kids.
Starting point is 00:08:57 I'm checking out. That is my general theory in life with everybody, but I don't have children. Amy. In my opinion, I think you need to find other summer plans that get taken from him or added to his schedule. Like maybe it's that he has to have a certain summer job or community. That's not what to do with. He said your summer, you won't participate in summer plans.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Or vacation. Like Disney. Then they, I don't know what to do about that because this seems really harsh. And yes, something that will stick with the kid forever. And they'll, like, not in a good way. I feel like it's like, really you're going to go take everybody to this. amazing family experience my siblings get to go, which yes, he didn't meet the goals, but this should have never been on the table to miss out on Disney.
Starting point is 00:09:39 But it is. But it is. Figure out a new plan because you can't, yes. This is going to come up in therapy later. No, that's okay. I'm just asking you, they did say if you can't do this, the expectation is this. We believe you can get it. And he agrees to it.
Starting point is 00:09:51 And it still doesn't get it. You still break and go, never mind. I don't know. Is that what you're saying? I know it's hard. You can't. I mean, at times I've definitely said things where I've had to be like, shoot, why did I say that it's actually punishment for me.
Starting point is 00:10:04 Not even disagreeing with your thought on it. I mean, I don't, I'm just wanting to state what you're saying. Okay, my thing is... Boundaries are not important. Got it. Boundaries are super important. They should have just never said this. But they did. They did.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Well, then you need to figure out a new plan. Okay, I like it. Eddie. This is easy. Go ahead. Look, you said it. These are the rules. And if you don't do that, you're not going to Disney. Like, period.
Starting point is 00:10:25 You're going to stay with your grandparents. That's just what's going to happen. Now, here's what you do. You go to the teacher, set a meeting with the teacher and say, hey, just so you know this. He can still get his grades, by the way. Absolutely. This is the situation teacher.
Starting point is 00:10:36 If he doesn't get that C, he's not going to Disney. So I know it's going to be tough for him to get to that C, but is there any way we can set up these little bonus things that he can do to get to that C because it's going to be a big deal. And I'm serious, he's not going to go to Disney. And I guarantee the teacher will work with him and he'll get that C. So it's in essence an early second summer job to be able to go and do because he's doing a much of extra work. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:00 I'm down with that. As long as you say if you can't get to see, you have to stick to it. What is the teacher is like? This actually isn't my problem. I've done it a couple times. Yeah, but what teacher's going to save that? Right, I've done it a couple times.
Starting point is 00:11:11 I don't feel like most teachers are like chill. They want to work with the kid. They don't want to fail the kid. And they obviously don't want the kid to stay home while the rest of his family goes to Disney. They're going to work on it. You would say, okay, but let's say does not get a C average, even after all that.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Sorry, you're staying home. But you would also give plenty of opportunities. and go talk to the teacher. Like, what can we do? It's extra work. Give it to them. Let's have him hit it. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:11:35 And show them, too. Hey, look at all these chances you're getting. Take advantage of it because you're really not going to go to Disney. I agree with that part. Like having... But then if he still doesn't hit it. God, this is just such a bummer. I just really want him to go.
Starting point is 00:11:47 That's it. Close the mail bag. We got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. Anybody asking you if you're serious about selling your house? Yes. Who?
Starting point is 00:12:01 Just listeners, I got one specific question of, are you really selling your house because of a bird? Because I'm doing my punch list to put my house on the market. There's things I need to be done. So I was at Home Depot. Oh, someone saw you in person and asked you. Yeah. And I was there getting my things.
Starting point is 00:12:16 And they're like, oh, I said, I'm just getting my house together because I'm going to sell it. And they're like, wait, you're really selling it because you saw a bird. And in a nutshell, I just looked at them and said, yep. And then kept on my way, which is not that simple. But yes, a message from the other side. gave me peace and comfort about finally selling the home. It's just funny to hear a message
Starting point is 00:12:35 from the other side. That's what it was, though. That's like an Adele song. Yeah, or an alien encounter or something. Okay, a sign. Amy has a house. Amy went to look at another house. A bird shows up, a cardinal.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Amy thinks her mom comes to her in Cardinals. Amy's mom passed away. And so she's like, that's my mom. I'm selling the house. Correct. It's a piece that surpasses all understanding. I can't put it any other way
Starting point is 00:12:59 other than, like, yeah, I'm finally doing it. I should have done it a year ago, but I didn't have the piece. Which is the sign? Correct. Yeah, yeah. Man, it's crazy that you...
Starting point is 00:13:08 I think you just wanted to sell your house so much. You were looking for anything to tell you to sell your house. But I can't give myself the piece, right? She came to deliver the message that it's time to let go. Yes. Does your mom ever show up in, like, dude cardinals? Red cardinals are male. Oh, so your mom's a dude cardinal.
Starting point is 00:13:28 She doesn't identify as male or female. Yeah, because sometimes she's the brown one, which is the female. That's cool. I like that. Ray, would you play voicemail number four, please? Bobby, on the way home, I always think of the same thing that Amy does regarding the Cardinal. Coming home from work yesterday, and I just plowed into a Cardinal. Saw it go over the top of my car.
Starting point is 00:13:49 The only thing I could do was laugh. I didn't know. Did I kill my dad? Damn. Kill his dad. Right. Again. And I think he was serious.
Starting point is 00:14:03 He looks for Cardinals, but then he... Yeah, I've... That's funny. That's funny. I've had similar messages. I don't know what that means, though, of like, you know, you and I both have experienced Cardinals flying into our window. And, like, one was down on my ground and dead in my yard.
Starting point is 00:14:21 And I'm like, what is my mom trying to tell me here? But maybe nothing. It doesn't mean everything's a sign. So you're taking financial advice from Cardinals. It's not a financial advice. You're selling your house. Yeah. That's not financial advice. That's moving on. That's closing one chapter and moving on to the next. Some might even say I'm closing an entire book, moving on to the next book. Oh, wow. Yeah. I'm with you. I think it's great. I think you wanted to do it anyway. Yeah. I should have done it a year ago. Yeah. But I wasn't ready.
Starting point is 00:14:51 You're waiting for the bird to show up. I wasn't ready. My kids weren't ready. I waited for the right time. And the bird was saying it's time. But a year ago, did you ask for the sign? No. Okay, see. When are you selling this house? It's going on the market. Like, ASAP, yeah, I got to do my punch list. There's, took down all the photos off the wall, have to, you know, fill in the holes, paint everything, declutter. If you hadn't seen the cardinal, would you still sell the house?
Starting point is 00:15:18 I don't know. It all, it all lined up perfectly. I even went to that open house impromptu. And I don't think I would have gone. If Caitlin had gone with me, I didn't want to go alone. So everything had to line up. Think about it. She had to be available.
Starting point is 00:15:33 It was last minute. We drove down there. We walk in the backyard. I see the Cardinal. It's like boom, boom, boom. It was an open house. Yeah, but I wasn't originally going to go. But what are the odds the Cardinals going to be there at the same time, Eddie?
Starting point is 00:15:46 It's outside. There's Cardinals everywhere. And you didn't get to go. Well, that I don't know. I don't know. You know what, good for you. I'm not even hating on that. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Sounds like it. No. I just, you're basically taking financial advice. from a bird. But this is actually financial advice that works in my favor. So it's great. And I have peace about it.
Starting point is 00:16:07 And that's all that matters, right guys? Isn't it? I guess, yeah. Eddie, you believe in signs. I do, Amy. I believe in signs. I'm always with you on this, but this one's a little wacky.
Starting point is 00:16:16 If it was one bird, you know, and they told you like, buy the house, by some house, like that's different. So, you do you, we like that about you.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Thanks. I mean, I am. I'm not changing my mind on this. No one's asking you. I feel very confident. What if a bird shows up today and says, change your mind. But it's, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:16:34 If you say, give me a sign. What if you're at a house today and you say, give me a sign not to sell my house if you're a cardinal show up. You say that and then one shows up. She's not looking outside. Of course, she's not asking for that sign. She won't look outside at all. Because it doesn't work that way. I wasn't saying like, hey, mom, if I'm supposed to sell my house, show up as a bird,
Starting point is 00:16:53 I was like, hey, I just want, if I'm supposed to move, show me that. And when you're looking for a sign, that's that piece I'm talking about. And so at that moment when I walked outside and saw the Cardinal and the kid was screaming, it was an open house. There was lots of people there. A kid runs in the backyard. And I literally thought, oh, it's going to make the bird fly away. It's going to make the bird fly away.
Starting point is 00:17:15 And the Cardinal stayed put because she wanted me to get the message. It's true. Well, you can't say it's true, but it's true for you. Yes, it's your truth. It's my truth. That I agree with. Right. Love to know how it goes
Starting point is 00:17:28 I will Please give Amy a sign today Not to sell the house I said it Now you gotta be looking Now you gotta be looking for a sign Yeah but everything lines up for me to sell now And it makes so much sense
Starting point is 00:17:39 I'm like shocked I didn't see it before Well do you didn't get a sign before You didn't get a bird Right Yeah okay Moving on Now you gotta find somewhere else to live Let's move on
Starting point is 00:17:48 I can tell I Y'all don't support it It's fine No no but do you have somewhere to live? Not yet Oh no That's the sign If I have nowhere to go, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:17:58 I'll go to an apartment. She'll build a nest. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Man, Perry High School, they went through a lot earlier this year. They had a shooting at the school. They lost a student.
Starting point is 00:18:18 They lost their principal. I mean, just really tragic. So, you know, they can use any of the good feels, the good news they could get. And J.C. Penny was doing this whole prom giveaway. where certain schools were going to get $50,000 donated to throw like an amazing prom, which is a really special night for people. And this is just a school that really needed, you know, to uplift their spirits.
Starting point is 00:18:39 And they are one of the recipients of the $50,000. And they say they are going to throw the best prom ever. It's really cool with JC Penner to do that. And if you think about it, too, prom can get expensive because you have to buy tickets. But here's the deal. Now that the school has the $50,000, they don't have to charge tickets. Or they just buy big chocolate. We're going to blow it all on chocolate fountains.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Yeah. Cool. And you still buy tickets, but extra chocolate when you get there. They're covering the tickets, transportation, food, post-prong activities. The only credit card we ever had as a kid because we didn't do credit. We did lay away in a lot of places, but we never did credit. But the only credit we had was a JC Pinet credit card. And we would go every year, well, many years and get school.
Starting point is 00:19:19 We got a pennies. Back to school? Yeah. And so when we would get new school shoes, we'd go to pennies. and they had one stand of newer, like, young shoes, like five. And I was like, I get to pick any of these five. And then it would be like, no, you put like three because they're not super expensive ones. But we put them on the JCPenny credit card.
Starting point is 00:19:36 And that's every time I drive by JCPenny, that's what I think about. The one place we'd go to get schools and the one credit card that would actually give my mom a credit card because the credit was so bad. But I have like a good relationship with that. And the fact that they still exist. I know for so long. They're arcing it. They didn't have to do a full Kmart or anything. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:53 That's a great story. that's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.

Starting point is 00:23:21 Yeah, all right. You done? I'm coming back around. Give me. John Sina. That's a good one. John Sina. What movie was he in?
Starting point is 00:23:34 I don't know. He was in a lot of stars. Show me, he was a big muscle guy, right? Oh, he was just in TV shows. Yeah, that's what I meant. Yeah, movie. A wrestler dude?
Starting point is 00:23:44 It could be actor. Yeah, you're right. It could be anything, but no. Eddie, points are double. Oh, give me Ryan Reynolds. Show me Ryan Reynolds. Are you guys just picking people? Are you thinking about big movies?
Starting point is 00:23:58 movies of TV shows. I was thinking someone else. Said the wrong name. Yeah, I thought so. Son of them. I thought so. Amy? Oh, well, in that case, Barbie was last year. Is Ryan Gosling on there? So stupid. Is that your answer? Yeah. Ryan Gosling? My man! I know. God!
Starting point is 00:24:18 Number four. Amy has eight points there. Points are doubled. Amy? Selina Gomez? Show me Selena Gomez. Lunchbox. Well, I mean, you did. Barbie. Ryan, whatever's name was in there. So Margot Robbie was in there. Show me Margot Robbie. Correct.
Starting point is 00:24:38 59 million bucks. What number was she? Two. Oh. There are still seven answers on the board. Forbes has the list of the highest made actors of 2023. You got Adam Sandler at one, Margot Robbie at two.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Ryan Gosling at four. Yeah, what other movies were big last year? It could be TV shows as well. Yeah, no. I'm just trying to I think if there was anything big that I watched. Give me Sidney
Starting point is 00:25:10 That's pretty good guess. She's on everything. I think she's a little too new, though, to get the big, big, big paychecks. I think so. That's probably a really good guess, though. Sydney, sweetie. I like that, though. You're thinking.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Yeah. I'm just trying to think who I see in everything, and she seems to be in everything. Eddie. Okay. Man, all of this talk about who he was thinking about getting to give me a lot of people. Give me Sindaya Who?
Starting point is 00:25:36 Sandaia Who? Sendaya Zend? Zendaya. He said Zin or sin? Sim. He said sin.
Starting point is 00:25:43 He said sin. But it doesn't matter. You can say it however you want. Show me Zendaya. No! How does she not make a lot of money? She does, but this is top ten. Dang.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Amy, go ahead. Jennifer Aniston. Anniston. Number six. $42 million. That's worth $12 million. That's worth 12 points. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:26:02 No, it's worth $1. 18 points. That's round three, isn't it? Still six answers on the board, Amy? Reese Witherspoon. Show me, Rich Witherspoon. Amy with 26 points. Lunchbox, you need some real hits here. Yeah, I got three names down, man.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Points are tripled, go ahead. I got three names down. No one can jump in. I don't know if they were in anything, though. You got J-Lo, you got Leonardo DiCaprio, you got Ben Affleck, you got Matt Damon. they were, they're all huge. Was J-Lo in anything?
Starting point is 00:26:41 Was J-Lano DiCaprio nominated for anything? Was Ben Affleck up for any awards? I should have watched that dumb show. What is it called? The Oscars. The Oscars. Five seconds. Give me Leonardo DiCaprio.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Joey DiCaprio. Yeah! That is number seven worth 21 points. You and Amy are now tied. You need one more, though. So here's what we have. Sandler, Margo Robbie, Ryan Gosselin, Jennifer Anderson, and Leo DiCaprio.
Starting point is 00:27:12 You have five out of the ten. If you get one more, you win. Yeah. Still five on the board. Highest paid actors of 2020. Was Matt Damon anything with Ben Affleck? I mean, oh, that's so hard, man. Don't forget J-Lo.
Starting point is 00:27:30 I know. I got Jail. Oh, I don't forget her. She is looking good for her age. Why does that be for her age? No, no. Do you see a 50-something-year-old looking that good? No.
Starting point is 00:27:40 And that's fine. Dude. For the win. Ah, man. Wait. Who just came into your mind? Will Smith. He was in some stuff, right?
Starting point is 00:27:50 I don't know. Probably. Man, Will Smith was in there. Right. I don't know. Maybe he won because the slap was heard around the world, so maybe last year was a down year for him. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Kick somebody. Give me. Show me, Jennifer Lopez. Oh, no. Ben Affleck's own name. So it's a tie. Ben Affleck. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:28:24 No, no, no, no, no, don't make out. At number nine, it was Ben Affleck. No! No, you idiot! You idiot! You idiot! And number five was Matt Damon. No, you idiot.
Starting point is 00:28:32 It's such an idiot. So those I'm going to take off. Oh, my gosh. But you both can have one more guess for the win here. Write your answer down. I'm in. There are three answers. Hey, it's not over yet.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Focus. There are three answers. Adam Sandler, Margo Rabe, Ryan Gosling, Matt Damon, Jennifer Aniston, Leo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck. There are three left, three, eight, and ten. I'm so stupid. One guest has left. Lunchbox, let me know when you're in. Man, I just, I don't even want to play.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Five seconds. Okay, he don't want to play. Amy? I'm in. What do you have? George Clooney. Okay. Lunchbox, what do you have?
Starting point is 00:29:12 This is the biggest show on TV, man. Kevin Cost me. All right. Both are wrong? Now we're just going to bounce back and forth until somebody gets it or we just call it. Oh, my gosh. Amy, go. Tom Cruise.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Correct, winner. Whoa. Okay, go ahead. She would have been in number eight, Jason Statham. That was my guess. No, it wasn't. It wasn't. If you can get number 10, you can have it.
Starting point is 00:29:43 Go. If I can get another. You have five seconds. Jason Statham. Butler. That guy from Austin Butler? Austin Butler. Gerard Butler?
Starting point is 00:29:53 Elvis? Oh no. Cooper. Cooper Manning. No, what's his name? Cooper Allen. Oh, Bradley. Bradley. Which one? Bradley Cooper. Show me any of the names we just said. No. And number 10 was Denzel Washington. Amy, you are the one. Nice job. Yeah. We're going to talk about the last time you guys were Starstruck, and I say that because I know we get celebrities in our studio all the time. But like genuinely Starstruck. There's a story out about Tiffany. She used to sing, I think we're alone now doesn't seem to be anyone around and if you don't know it from Tiffany you might know it from full house did they sing that on there they did yes they did so she was talking about michael jackson
Starting point is 00:30:35 most starstruck ever was meeting michael jackson i had just taken bad out of the number one spot when she had i think we're alone now and then she went to the concert that he had nearby and he was very nice to her she was like i was so starstruck that's from us magazine the most you've been starstruck. Amy. I mean, I'm going to use a moment where I was caught off guard. Complete surprise one of the expecting
Starting point is 00:31:00 to see this celebrity. And it was the time I ran into Reese Witherspoon backstage at something we were doing here. And she just, I was walking by a door and she walked out that door. Like right in front of me.
Starting point is 00:31:11 It was like a gift. And I was... Was it a sign? I was starstruck. To where, I don't know, I said something stupid like, I love everything you do. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Nice. something like that. Now, my mind might be playing tricks on me here. Did you tell me that at the event and then we go track her down and I introduce you to her? Maybe. Isn't it weird? I don't remember either, but that sounds like it could have happened. We just have a lot of experiences.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Amy was like, I think I saw Reese Weatherstone and I was like, okay, come on, let's go find her. And we found her and said hi. Maybe you just are blurred out. No, I just think sometimes I'm like, oh, that definitely sounds like that could have happened. Yeah. But isn't it weird? You would think I would remember every single detail. Well, that's what happens when you get started.
Starting point is 00:31:51 I know. It's all blurred. Yeah, I just know that when she walked out of that door, I was like, oh, she's like, excuse me. I'm like, no, no, no. No, excuse me. We're good. I ate dinner next to her to her to her once. Really?
Starting point is 00:32:04 Like right next to her? Yeah, she was sitting right in the middle table. Would she eat? I don't know. And I didn't care of that. What did you say to her? Nothing. I was letting her have her own family time.
Starting point is 00:32:11 And she was sitting right. Like, no special place, just sitting right in the middle of the restaurant. Yeah, she was eating a little early like we were. Mostly I have to wake up early. I think she was a celebrity, so she came a little earlier. But there was no, like, preferential seating or anything. thing. Oh, I would have been looking the entire time, dude. Yeah. How do you not? She's right there.
Starting point is 00:32:27 That's crazy. I just felt like that was our own business. You know, I don't want to get in that. I don't have her family time. Lunchbox, most star struck. Oh, it's easy. I was at a bar in Austin, Texas, and my buddy Forrest comes out to me, he's like, dude, I just saw Johnny Bananas in the bathroom. And I said, there is
Starting point is 00:32:43 no way Johnny Bananas is at a bar in Austin, Texas. And Forrest's search for 30 minutes in that bar because it's jam-packed. Found him. came and got me, and I went up to Johnny Bananas. And all I did was scream at him. Well, before you elaborate, will you tell people who that is?
Starting point is 00:33:00 Because I don't think most people know who that is. Johnny Bananas, Real World Key West. You know them. I mean, how can you forget? No, I don't. I didn't until you told me. And now I do know who he is, and he seems like a pretty talented guy. And then he was on the challenge for many, many years,
Starting point is 00:33:14 and he's hosted other things here and there, offshoots. But, yeah, so I went up to him. And I thought I was going to be so cool, calm, collected. He'd be like, dude, what's up, big fan? Like, let us talk to him. And all I did was like, Johnny bananas! Like to him. Yeah, and then he's sitting there.
Starting point is 00:33:31 He's like, yeah. And I'm like, Johnny bananas, what are you doing? Johnny freaking bananas! Oh, man. And I didn't ever really have a conversation with him as more as I just, like, yelled at him. Did you think that that would blossom into a friendship, though, somehow? I did. I thought I was going to play it cool.
Starting point is 00:33:50 We'd become friends. You know, like he'd hit me up. Like, hey, what up? And no, it didn't happen. All I did was scream at him. And then... Then you started DMing him. And then I kind of sent him messages.
Starting point is 00:34:03 And then you got told to tell me to back off. That's true. That's true. I didn't want to tell you that. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So Starstruck, like, I mean, because usually you think Starstruck, you just sit there and stare. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:18 You just reacted. I just reacted and I couldn't calm it down. You can respect that. Eddie. When I worked for the news, they sent me to a movie premiere. I was just the camera guy. I was like, I'll just show up, set my camera up, had no idea what movie it was, who the actors were. And here came a limousine. Parks right there in the red carpet.
Starting point is 00:34:35 And out comes Johnny freaking death. And I was like, this is crazy. What do you look like in person? Like Johnny Depp. Like smaller, bigger. No normal size. I remember him being normal size, but his like, what do you call that complexion? Like, it was just like, it looked fake.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Like, he looked like a doll. Was he really good looking? Yeah. A lot of those celebrities you see in person and they're so much better looking in person, even though they're good looking on camera. But on camera, there's just a higher standard we hold because it's all beautiful people and we're like, no, they're pretty good looking. But then in real life, you're like, wow.
Starting point is 00:35:09 In real person, when you watch, it's just like, I wanted to reach out and just touch him because it's like, you know, you see him on TV and movies like your whole life. And there he is in front of you. I was so starstruck. That's pretty cool. I made a list when I put the segment together last night. Did I turn my list? Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:23 I've been lucky enough to meet a lot of people. I don't really get starstruck that often, but when I do, I pee a little. Okay. Number five, Derek Jeter. What'd you mean to him? I did a whole two segments with them on the Today Show when I hosted the Today Show. That's right. It was bizarre.
Starting point is 00:35:39 In the way of like, I was like, what body am I in? He was so nice, so cool. It was Hoda and I, and I played it totally cool. I was like, what's up, DJ? Okay. Is he the one that would give the baseball in the basket? Yeah. Back in the day.
Starting point is 00:35:50 Yeah. Before he was married and family. Yeah, we loved that guy to be a family family. Yeah, yeah, yeah. How big was he? No, probably like 6-1. I mean, it's my size. Maybe, no, I mean.
Starting point is 00:36:00 You're not 6-1. Yeah, I am. And shoes, and the dress shoes I had on that day for. No, Derek Jeter. And I was just chilling with him. He was so nice. That's number five. Number four, Steve Young.
Starting point is 00:36:11 I saw Steve Young. Oh, Derek Jeter, 6-3, so my size. Oh, yeah, your size. Okay. Steve Young, quarterback for the 49ers. I was there with you. We saw him, and he was in a group. people and I was like, oh boy, I don't want to go up and bother him.
Starting point is 00:36:23 But I just walked up and just stood in the group of people. And I was like, yeah, yeah, just kind of jump in and laugh. And then people started to walk away and I was like, hey, Steve, I'm Bobby. And he goes, my bones. I listen to your show all the time. And I was like, what plan is this? A lot of mine are sports people, as you can tell. 5G or 4, Steve Young.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Number three, Lenny Kravitz. Not a sports person. I heart radio music festival last year. I've loved Lenny Kravitz. never met him. He's like a ghost. Like, when, who sees Lenny Kravitz? And he shows up, I don't know how old he is, 50 something. He did not look. He did not look it. He's beautiful. And he was so nice.
Starting point is 00:37:04 What do he smell like? Do you remember that? Leather. Yeah, leather pants. Yeah, leather pants. He was, cravets is 59 years old. And I just remember thinking, this is so cool. And Superkind, we did our interview. We talked for a second, and he left, so there was nothing like extra there. I was just like, wow. Number two, Jim Nance.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Hello, friends. Hi, Bobby. Oh, the golf guy? Golf, but NCAA basketball tournament. Football? Yeah, with Tony Romo. Yeah. All of it.
Starting point is 00:37:31 So Jim Nance is like, I was like, wow, that's Jim. And I was with Charles Kelly from Lady A, and he was like, you should just go say out of gym. He's super nice. And I'm like, I'm not going. Jim is so tall. And I was like, hi, Jim. Like, hi. Like so tall, like y'all are the same height?
Starting point is 00:37:46 No, no. No, no. Jim Nance is a big dude. He's like six, three. So my hype. Okay. 63, 64. Hey, but when he talks, he sounds just like TV.
Starting point is 00:37:55 He does. And then I saw Jim Nance here in town. He came up behind me in a golf cart and was like, Bobby, what's up? And then we talked for like 15 minutes. Oh, he didn't pull up and go, Bobby, what's up? Hello, friends. Jim Nance was pretty awesome. And then number one, can you name it?
Starting point is 00:38:08 It was in the studio. Oh, John Mayer. No. And you're in this studio? Adam Durrett's kind of gross. Oh, yeah. Never met him. That was the first time you'd ever met him.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Ever met him, yeah. John Mayer and I had a brief, like, friendship. fling. It's one of my favorites, but there was a time where if I was in California, I would sit, we'd like hang out a little bit. Like I would, like a friendship frame, fling. Yeah, I don't know that I've ever heard of a friendship fling. It was very brief. We don't do it anymore. But it was like, once I was hosting a I was hosting an I-Hardio thing with something and he was like, hey, I'll come over there and say hi. And he came in and like drove over and came in that we talked for a long time. It had nothing to do with the show. Then he was doing a show and I was in town.
Starting point is 00:38:45 He was like, hey, come to the show. And then I, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, And what happened? We don't even talk anymore. That's what, with Fleeves, they fade, right? Yeah, they fade. No reason to fade. Yeah. I just think I lost my favor.
Starting point is 00:38:57 It happens. Yeah. But Adam Durrett's number one of the County Crows, because as a kid and as an adult, my favorite band. Round here. Mr. Towns! Almost put Barry Switzer. OU coach, Dallas Cowboy coach, Arkansas Razorbike player, sat next to him on a Southwest flight. That's right.
Starting point is 00:39:16 That was honorable mention. Yeah. So, oh, I love being starstruck. Here's a voicemail we got last night. I heard the caller call in and say that, you know, didn't like you at first, and then now she liked you. She just had to give you a second shot. I just want you to know, I've always liked you from the get-go.
Starting point is 00:39:33 I've been listening to you for a long time now. I'm going to say probably at least 10 years. Anyway, love the show. Always have. Always will. That's all I want to say. Thank you. You can't commit to always will.
Starting point is 00:39:45 Yeah. We'll tell you right now. You never know. Sometimes we are really annoying. So I don't know that you'll always love the show, but we appreciate you always loving it so far. People change. And we definitely can change in a way that would irritate the crap out of you.
Starting point is 00:39:57 But no, thanks for the call. I really appreciate that. Let's move on to number two. Go ahead. I just have to say, if you are not listening to the post show, you are missing out on some real behind the scenes. You guys are amazing, really your true selves whenever you do the post show. And I love it.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Thank you. It's that we don't have time restrictions on the podcast. post show. Correct. Where it's like, okay, we have nine minutes. We've got to get off the air. We've got to do a commercial or we're going to get sued. So sometimes we have to wrap things up.
Starting point is 00:40:24 On the post show, sometimes it gets real, real. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Right. If you want to feel happy, hug yourself for 20 seconds a day. You have to close your eyes. Euphemism? No, no, no, no. Close your eyes.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Think of something that's been bothering you. Put one hand on your chest and the other on your stomach. And that's you giving yourself a hug. And you say to yourself in that moment, how can I be a friend to myself right now? Huh. And it's, I don't, they did a bunch of research and they say that it's supposed to help you feel better once you open your eyes.
Starting point is 00:40:55 Bones, remember when you would go in a corner? We'd do that when we were younger and then we'd like, we'd hug our back and look like when we were making out with somebody. When somebody says they did a bunch of research, that means we don't know what they did. Well, this is from Science Direct, so, and I know you love science. No idea what Science Direct even means. Like, is that even a real thing? Somebody could just name themselves that.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Never heard of that. Yeah, yeah. I can have something called Rock Climbing Illustrated. Nobody know the difference. I can just have it. But I hear you. All right, go ahead. I also saw this thing, speaking of, like, comfort and feeling happy,
Starting point is 00:41:24 that 40% of adults sleep with a stuffed animal or like a... That's not true. That's no way. There's no way. Is it same people from Science Director or whatever? Does anyone on the show do that? No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:34 I don't think so. 40%? 4 out of 10, almost 50%. No chance. I would say maybe one out of 20. I mean, I have a friend that has her binky from like... But doesn't sleep with it every night. Yes, she does.
Starting point is 00:41:46 every night and she's had it since she's a kid. Negative. I don't either. Amy, do you? No. Lunchbox? No chance. Raymundo? No. Okay, no. I'm telling you, 40% is not accurate. Morgan? No, I do not. But we shouldn't make fun of people that do. No. Is your friend single Amy?
Starting point is 00:42:07 No, she's married. And has kids. Maybe 40% of weirdos still take it to bed with them. Like if you're a weirdo and you take it, 40% of weirdos still take it to bed. It's all falling apart. It's this little like blanket thing that she's had since she was a baby. Yeah. It's weird. All right. What else? Okay, so lunchbox and Eddie aren't that familiar with 401Ks, but hey guys,
Starting point is 00:42:27 you're not alone because the study was done and half of Americans have no clue what a 401k is. See? I'm going to tell you, I don't know how it works. I have no idea. I just know I have it and then money goes to my check into it and then the company invests that money and they make money, I think,
Starting point is 00:42:44 and then I get money. See, when I hear that? I'm worried that like the company invest so the company can lose it. What do you think a bank does with your money? How they just hold it? No. No. They invest it. If we put money in the bank, I know that. The reason they want your money is so they can invest it and make money.
Starting point is 00:43:01 See, I feel like yeah, in the times that they match it, like if you're at a company that'll match it, that's a win-win. And I feel like they invest in things, you know, that are like a sure thing. Like they know what they're doing. Enron. I don't really know how to explain a 401K. I just know that I have one
Starting point is 00:43:16 and I was told when I was like 27, hey, they offer this at your company, so you should do it, and then I've never looked back. Okay. And I have a retirement fund. You know how much you got in there? Yeah, I showed me on the year.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Is it awesome? Yeah. I'm like, I need to get to depositing or something. I don't put money in it, like a percentage, a percentage, but not a full percentage comes out of my check. Like, only up to a certain point does a percentage come out. Right. I've been told.
Starting point is 00:43:41 I don't know. I don't know what stuff. I wish I could party with it, but I'm going to party when I get old, I guess. Yeah. Yeah. I think you can pull it out, but you just have to pay a fee or a fine. Always. So Sam Hunt was on Taste of Country Nights podcast, and he was talking about how you'll have to, like, shoot him before he won't sleep in his own bed.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Like, if he's in a fight with his wife, like, he's going to be there. One beautiful thing about Hannah is that she forgives quickly. And I also have a rule that I'm not sleeping on the couch. So she's going to have to shoot me before I don't sleep in my own bed. Oh, wow. I mean, I'm sure if that's the case, she's probably slept angry. She's not like forgiving before they go to sleep. I will say one time like my wife and I were fighting and she locked me out of the room.
Starting point is 00:44:21 So I just unscrewed the doorknob and went back in. When she was asleep? Yeah. She woke up and she's like, oh, what did you do? I don't have a relationship with my bed. It's not, I don't care. Like you'll sleep on the couch? No, I like the couch.
Starting point is 00:44:34 My bed's good, but I don't like care. It's not like I need to be. There's certain pillows. We have two sleep numbers. So I've also got one upstairs, the different blanket comfort. Oh, well, that's different. And I don't. But if I, if like, I get in late or something,
Starting point is 00:44:46 I'll just go sleep up there. Or if I'm up all night, I'll sleep up there. But I don't really care about the, I don't have a relationship with that. Yeah. If we were fighting, I didn't care. I wanted my ex to stay in the bed. Like I, we were fighting. But he would always grab the pill and blank it and be all dramatic and leave.
Starting point is 00:45:03 That's not being dramatic. It would make me so. Is that foreshadowing? That's being healthy. Oh, and it's also foreshadow in the future. Is it healthy, though? Like, you can just close our eyes and go to sleep. If you feel like you're triggered and you need distance, what you do is you create
Starting point is 00:45:15 distance. So everybody doesn't have the same fighting style. Well, we're not fighting. Let's just close their eyes and go to sleep and we'll figure it out. But some people don't want to be near a person that's upset them because it triggers them. I don't think it's that he didn't want to be near me. I think it's that he just wanted to like make a big statement because he knew how much it bothered me that he would leave. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:36 Maybe both. Don't you think? Nah, I think you hear you. All right, is that it? Hi, Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:45:47 With producer Eddie. Yeah, home there's something good. For the past few years, the community of Belleville, Illinois, have been struggling with abandoned homes and neighborhoods. And people are like, man, these abandoned homes, like they just look like trash and they're bringing down the value of our community, really. So a bunch of people that are retired, they're like, you know what? We're not going to let this happen.
Starting point is 00:46:07 So they started a nonprofit called West End Redeveloping Group. And they go around these neighborhoods and they get the law to pass over the property to them. and if it's restorable, they go. They renovate the whole home and they put it back in the market. But if it's not, they demolish it. That's cool. So your goal in life is to retire. I can't wait.
Starting point is 00:46:28 I'm going to play golf. I'm going to fish. Where are you going to get this money to play golf? My retirement fund. Then you join a club and then when you join a club. Where's your retirement fund? Well, I mean, I mean, just, I don't know. I don't know how that stuff works.
Starting point is 00:46:41 But like eventually, I'm just like. Do you have one? I mean, I save some money here and there. But like, are you a member of a club? Like, now, why are you magically able to be a member of a club? You don't have a fun. I can't afford a club now. But, like, when I'm retired, that's all I do.
Starting point is 00:46:55 All my money's going to go to that club. But what money? Because you're not working. My retirement money. But you don't have any saved. But, dude, that's what old people do. They have, like, this retirement fund. Social Security.
Starting point is 00:47:05 Boom. I don't think Social Security is enough to get a number of years. And you'll have more money because your kids are about to leave the house. And then you'll be. Dude, once the kids are gone, I'm going to have so much. money? Any money because you won't be working. Okay, so how many years until your last kid leaves?
Starting point is 00:47:19 He's five now. So do the math. 13 or 14 or 15 just spending. Oh, boy. So are you going to be, yeah, you're going to be grinding it off. That's a long ways away. But you're not even going to be retiring age when they leave. So it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:47:29 What do you mean? When they leave the house? You can retire early if you have a house, I'm done. You can retire early if you have a retirement. Like if you have, oh my God. Good for them. Wait, I have a question. These guys want to retire, but they're not doing anything about their retirement.
Starting point is 00:47:40 I know, but what age do they think they're retiring? I need an age. Probably 65. That used to be what it is. Gosh, I ain't less than that long. What do you mean, dude? I'm 45. That's 20 years from now. That's plenty of time to save some money.
Starting point is 00:47:52 You have none saved. But don't you want to do before that? Well, sure, I do. Would you do it tomorrow if you could? Oh, I'd do 100%. You'd really quit work? Yes. I'd buy a boat and I'd be on the ocean fishing every day.
Starting point is 00:48:03 So you have other fantasy. He's not just quitting, but having money. Yeah. Yeah, cool. I love the story. Don't love really that, that, that, idea of you retiring, but you have no money and you're not saving anything. And there's something special about people that retire and then they just want to go back
Starting point is 00:48:19 to work and do good things for people. Yeah, this. It's really cool. This. What we're doing. All right. Thank you. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:48:25 That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clever Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media.

So they take matters into their own hands.
Starting point is 00:50:10 I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last. target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. Why did the kid put sugar under his pillow? So he would have sweet dreams.
Starting point is 00:51:19 That's cute one. That's good. All right, over to Amy now with her, Morning Corny. The Morning Corny. What do you call a parrot that escaped? What do you call a parrot that escaped? A polygon. Polygon.
Starting point is 00:51:40 That was the Morning Corny. Coming up, we'll get into the mailbag. But after that, there's a segment. I think that's going to make a few people in this room a little. irritable towards me the rest of the show. Great. A few people? Not everybody.
Starting point is 00:51:56 A few is three. A few is at least three. Two is a couple. A fuse three. I'll probably be one of them. I would guess so. A lot of you guys are about to be irritated at me. Not my call.
Starting point is 00:52:10 However, I just want to give you guys an update. We talked about a story where a record label that come in and they said, Bobby, would you sign this NDA? because we want to tell you a secret about the music industry. And I was like, no thank you. Now, an NDA is a non-disclosure agreement, meaning if I sign it, I can hear it, but then if I tell somebody the secret,
Starting point is 00:52:29 I get in trouble. And this had a $1 million fine penalty attached to it. I don't care about the secret. I'll learn anyway, and I don't want to be on the hook for a million bucks. So I said, no, thank you. I don't want to know. So I said, how about lunchbox and Ray?
Starting point is 00:52:48 Yeah. They go sign the NDA. They can hear the secret because somehow it's going to affect the show in some way. And they said no. Oh. They said absolutely no chance. Would they let Ray or Lunchbox know the secret? Because, one, if they told the secret and there was the $1 million fine, their words, they know they'd never get the million dollars anyway.
Starting point is 00:53:09 Oh, nice. That's good point. Right. That's why I was willing to sign. Bring it. However, there has been a bit of movement in this story since the last time we did it. they want one of you to sign and learn the secret. Okay.
Starting point is 00:53:25 Oh. And that person's Eddie. What? They have requested. Like Eddie has a million dollars. I don't. That's not the point of it. I don't have a million dollars.
Starting point is 00:53:37 I mean, so their excuse. That's what stands out to you right now. So their excuse that me and Ray won't ever get their money. They won't get the money from Ray. That was their joke. Like even if you lie, they can't get the million bucks for you. Do you understand the only reason they're picking me? because they trust that I will not tell anyone the secret.
Starting point is 00:53:50 They have requested that Eddie signed this non-disclosure agreement with some industry's secret news and that he learned it. And I said, what about? And I listed every one of you. Wow. They said no to me. Yes. That's okay. That's fun. Not to be trusted. They didn't say people aren't to be trusted. I know what they figured out. Go ahead. Eddie has no one to tell.
Starting point is 00:54:15 Well, that's true. Eddie has no friends. But I have a family. I have four kids. I have a wife. Like, I can tell them. Yeah, he has plenty of people. I won't, but I could tell them.
Starting point is 00:54:24 He doesn't have a biggest circle as we do. That's what it is. And he's kind of a loser. Like, okay, he'll do what Bobby tells him. Bobby says, be quiet. He'll be quiet. You don't have to attack. I know, I'm not attack.
Starting point is 00:54:33 I'm just going over this scenario. I didn't bring it up. I didn't want to sign it. I don't want anybody to sign it. Tell him what we'll pass. They said, what? Tell him will pass. He doesn't speak for me.
Starting point is 00:54:42 What do you mean will? Yeah, as a show, we don't want to know. You did want to know, though. I know, but once they moved on from me, we've moved on. So, some industry secret, I don't know what it is. I don't want to sign it, but they have requested that Eddie sign it and learn. They requested. They have requested.
Starting point is 00:54:58 They were like. I didn't pitch anybody. They were like, but you said you mentioned everybody on the show. Yeah. Once they said Eddie, I said, well, what about Amy? What about Mike? What about Morgan? And they're like, no.
Starting point is 00:55:07 They said, no. The only person. Eddie. Eddie. Because why? Why is that so hard? No, I'm asking. No, I'm asking.
Starting point is 00:55:15 I'm not saying it's hard to believe. Don't put me in lunchbox category. No, well, it is. I'm curious. You want an explanation. Like, I don't know. Not that they're, I just don't know their goal. I guess I don't know the secret.
Starting point is 00:55:28 So maybe it has to do with. And you're not going to know the secret. Yeah. Do you want to sign it? I do, dude. I mean, who wouldn't want to know a big industry secret? I mean, I'm not saying. Bobby didn't.
Starting point is 00:55:39 I don't care. I know, dude, but this is too big. This is way. You'll know something I don't know. And when does that happen? Never. I know, but they give a reason. Like, we're choosing Eddie because...
Starting point is 00:55:50 Why are you so offended? I'm not offended. I'm asking. This is a genuine question. I feel like Scuba Steve would probably have the same question. Him being like... Scuba Steve has signed it and knows. Oh, you know?
Starting point is 00:56:00 Yeah. Do you know? Scuba Steve knows. Yes. Oh, that's cool. I know he's signed the NDA. See, that makes sense to me. And they...
Starting point is 00:56:07 Why does that make sense to you? Because he's executive producer of the show. And I'm producer of the content of the show. No, you're not. You're not. You're not producing of anything. I think it's called content producer. I think that's what it's called. Regardless, Eddie, they want you to sign it if you want to sign it and you can be the holder of the secret.
Starting point is 00:56:22 Wow. And if I tell anyone the secret. They will sue you for a million dollars. A million dollars. Do you want to sign it? Yes or no. Do you want to know the secret? They won't allow anybody else to know.
Starting point is 00:56:33 Oh, I absolutely want to know the secret. But will you sign the NDA to know the secret? Have I ever signed an NDA? Probably not. This is serious. business. Apparently it's a big, I'm assuming country music secret because it's the record label that's in country music.
Starting point is 00:56:50 You should sign it. I'm not. No, him, Eddie. Eddie. Well, you're looking at Bobby. You're true. Hey, hey, you know what? She's going to look at you.
Starting point is 00:56:58 She's going to laugh. You know what? I think I want to do this just to make Amy and Lunchbox upset. I'm not upset though. You're very upset. You're very upset. No, I'm trying to make sure I have a tone that isn't upset because I don't want you all lump me in with lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:57:13 No, no, it's laughable is what it is. It's laughable. I guess I'm just, I'm curious they're thinking. Buzz, bring me the paper. Let me sign it. Let's go. Yes, dude, I'm going to know a secret. And you know who wants to know every secret?
Starting point is 00:57:27 It's lunchbox. He wants to know everything. And he's not going to know this one. It's obviously not that important if they're going to Eddie. Tell yourself, tell yourself whatever you want. I will. Okay, so you're in. I don't even know what it is.
Starting point is 00:57:39 So you're in. I'll let them know you're in. You may even sign up today. How long? am I going to have this secret? I don't know. I've chosen not to know. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:57:49 This is a big deal. This is a big deal. So you are officially in. I'm in, dude. Okay. Tell me the secret. I can't. He can't.
Starting point is 00:57:56 You can't. You don't know it. I'm assuming they will pull you in a room after you sign it and share whatever information there is to share with you. Wow. Wow. And whatever happens that room, you're not allowed to say a word. Yeah?
Starting point is 00:58:08 But can he come back in and be like, what? Can he come back in and react to it later? later. He can be like, wow. I don't know they're going to do it during the show. No, no, I know. But the next day. This is tough. That's like not spoiling a movie. How am I going to do this? Okay. How am I going to be able to talk about it without spoiling?
Starting point is 00:58:22 I'll let him know you're going to do it. You good? Yeah. You're not backing out? Hey, I'm real good. Okay, now backing out. All right, let's play this. Eddie's going to sign it. We'll see how quickly we can get it up here and how quickly we can get you the information.
Starting point is 00:58:34 Let's go talk to Cindy, who's on the phone right now. Hey, Cindy, thank you for calling the show. What's going on? Hey, I have a question about, lunchbox. Okay. Every time he's not chosen for something or someone does a better job, why does he have to cut that person down? Good question.
Starting point is 00:58:53 I did choose him and Ray hopefully to sign the NDA and our bosses said no. So I don't know why he's a bit resentful toward me or toward even Eddie because I tried to get them to sign it because I thought that'd be funny. Yet he's still angry. It wasn't my choice. If anything, he should be mad at the bosses. How did I cut anybody? How did I cut anybody down?
Starting point is 00:59:13 Well, you're like, why does Eddie need to know? He's stupid, ugly, and all that stuff. Big nose. I didn't say big nose. I just said you. You thought it. I think the reason they picked you is because you have the least people to tell. Okay, no friends.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Yeah. I mean, I don't think that's cutting down. That's just truth. We hear you. Cindy, I agree. I do not have an explanation. I think it is a bit of at times jealousy slash insecurity. We all have it, and it manifests itself in different ways.
Starting point is 00:59:38 It just comes out a little angrier. Yeah. I guess, that's true. Yeah. But Cindy, don't you think it's a little ridiculous? They picked Eddie. I mean, aren't you shocked? Like, what?
Starting point is 00:59:47 Like, that makes no sense. No, it makes sense to me. Eddie seems very trustworthy. There you go. I tried to get them to give you the NDA and they wouldn't. That makes it great. That's Macy Great. Thank you very much for being there for me.
Starting point is 01:00:04 Cindy, thank you. Rob, Ohio. You're on Rob in Ohio. Let's go, Rob. What you got for me? Morning studio Morning I had a question
Starting point is 01:00:16 Why is this so important For them to have the secret I guess Because he can't say anything to anybody I don't know I don't know the secret So that's a great question My only thing was when I first introduced this to the show
Starting point is 01:00:32 Was it felt weird It was very behind the scenes But I don't really get into the industry part of this world. We come on. I try to do a compelling show, a radio show, a podcast. We get very personal. We try to be funny.
Starting point is 01:00:46 But when it comes to, hey, let's make a deal. We'll play some songs. Hey, get your new artists here. I don't like that part. I don't really, you know, dance with those folks. I like some of them personally, but not really my thing. But our boss was like, you should sign this. I'm like, I'm not signing an NDA.
Starting point is 01:01:02 And so I said, how about Lunchbox and Ray signed it? They can know the secret because I don't even know why they want me to know the secret. And they were like, no chance. and then I offered everybody else because I wanted someone to know and they said it could be Eddie. So that's what we have right now. But I'm thinking to myself, you know, okay, Steve, I can understand. Bobby, I can understand. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:26 But it's like, okay, why is it necessary for anybody else to know about this? I'm sure there's a reason. We don't know it, though. That's ahead of time. Or they would, because, but I don't know it. because I don't know the secret, but that's what it is. An NDA is a non-disclosure agreement. There's a big record company that wants, well, wanted me to sign it so they could give me some secret.
Starting point is 01:01:47 I don't know what it's about. I've not done it. I will not. But they want Eddie. We're going to see if we can figure that out today. Okay. Done. That's it.
Starting point is 01:01:54 That dude was laughing too. He was like, I don't get it. I don't either. He doesn't have to get the whole thing. No, he doesn't get why Eddie was picking either. No. No. He didn't.
Starting point is 01:02:03 I do want to address something that happened. If you go over to my Instagram, which is Mr. Bobby Bone. M.R. Bobby Bones, you will see, I did a picture. My wife and I did this thing where you paint each other as you're painting, meaning you try to paint a portrait of each other and then you reveal it. I'm a terrible artist. The worst. I can't draw. I've never been able to draw. I can't paint. I tried as hard as I could to paint a portrait of her. It's like from like shoulders up to top of her head. And so she's sitting over there and her picture of me was pretty good. She's a decent artist. I'm awful. So, what I lacked in painting her face and her head, which again, you can look at it on my Instagram, I tried to make up for in her surroundings, trees, blue sky. It did look like her head was kind of on fire because the colors I put around her head. I thought that was just like air. But I painted something next to her because she is from Oklahoma.
Starting point is 01:02:58 My wife's from Oklahoma. Big OU fan. So I painted the sooner schooner next to her, which is the big horse trolley that comes out the field, there's horses on it. I don't even know what it's called. Yeah, sure, Chuck Wagon. Chuck Wagon, I think. People thought that was a baby carriage. And they were like, what a way to announce it. That is never, that was not a baby carriage. There's no announcement. My wife even said that. No, she did it. You're lying. She did. No, she did it. There's no, it even says Sooners on it. I even wrote Sooners on it. Yeah, coming soon.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Sooner or later. So that is not what it is. It says Sooners. It looks, that's my best art. It looks exactly like a chuck wagon. If you can't tell that, then, oh, yeah, I know it's terrible. Man, it looks like an old school, a stroller. It was terrible. It was terrible. I just want to say that is supposed to be the OU Sooner Schooner. We wouldn't announce anything like that. I don't have any children.
Starting point is 01:03:53 She is not pregnant. We plan at some point to have children, but it is not now. And I would not announce it like that. My dream announcement would be like, have a three-year-old and be like, we have a three-year-old. and be like, we held this secret for three years. You would do that. But that is not what that is. I would also like to say, I get it.
Starting point is 01:04:12 I'm terrible at drawing painting. Although I did feel pretty good about her face. I didn't think it looked terrible. Yeah. Maybe for me it looked good. Yeah. But I wasn't that embarrassed to like show her until she showed me mine. And I was like, oh, that's really good.
Starting point is 01:04:28 So was that a fun activity? Yeah. Like for a date night? Yeah. I mean, we were just like, let's see what happens. And then we painted for like an hour and talked. And I finished a little before her, if I'm being honest. Sure.
Starting point is 01:04:41 It looks like that. Shut up. Not nice. But yeah, you can see it on my Instagram. That is not a baby stroller or carriage. It's the sooner, schooner. That's all. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:04:51 That is addressed. I shall move on. What's up? It's the time every morning that we do the news. Bobby's big. Stories. So, Headfifold. are better than earbuds for your ears, right?
Starting point is 01:05:06 Yeah. Wrong. Oh, hey. They all wanted to take the bat. You all wanted to date. That's okay. Well, y'all made fun of me for my headphones. Well, you have earbuds with a cord.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Right. Yeah, yeah. That's okay, though. No, no, no. Even when I go on walks and stuff. Yeah, yeah, that's okay, though. That's you just being new. We like that.
Starting point is 01:05:21 Okay. The myth is that since earbuds go inside your ear canal and headphones rest outside, that headphones are safer. Not true. Both can be equally as dangerous or not. depending on the volume. The key is giving your ears a break and not listening too loud,
Starting point is 01:05:38 but one is not better than the other. Because sometimes with earbuds, you can not turn them up as loud to get the same effect that if you turn headphones up even louder to get. So mostly it's just how dumb are you? Pretty dumb. No, the question wasn't actually answered that.
Starting point is 01:05:53 It was like, don't blast them. My hearing is bad because of it. Sometimes. But I have to turn it up. But I went to get my hearing tested. I was like the highest score they ever had. Ever? They were like, beep.
Starting point is 01:06:02 I was doing everything. I was raised on my left foot. I was like, back, where'd you hear that one? You know, reaching behind my head. I could tell where the sound was coming from all over the foot. Yeah, but you know why that is. It's because your vision is off. And a lot of times one of your senses is weaker.
Starting point is 01:06:18 Your other senses are stronger. I can tell if I'm listening to a podcast or a radio show if two people are not in the same room by a slight fraction of different audio quality. That's crazy. It's because your eye. I have one eye that doesn't work. Right.
Starting point is 01:06:32 I mean, it looks. the same. Like they move together, thankfully, because some people don't have the luxury. If they have what I have, which is basically a lazy eye, what's very unfortunate is they don't have the ability their eyes to stay together. I'm very, very fortunate and blessed that mine do move together.
Starting point is 01:06:47 But yeah, my right eye doesn't work, so I have super hero listening and hearing. Although sometimes I don't hear my wife. Oh, that's interesting. That's called selective. No, I don't know. Sometimes she'll say it to, huh? AI will kill us in about 200 years. For sure. Here's the thing. I don't care. We're not going to be here.
Starting point is 01:07:04 We ain't going to be here. Kids aren't going to be here. But our great grandchildren are going to be here. Yeah. And maybe we deserve it. You know, let's be honest. A recent study published by an astronomer says, well, go ahead and develop this AI if you want.
Starting point is 01:07:19 But runaway artificial intelligence. Sounds like a terrible love movie. Like a rom-com. Runaway artificial intelligence. That's when like the robot just turns into like a mix up its own mind or whatever. I don't need you. I shall kill you. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:32 they could wipe out human civilization in about 200 years. But are they going to work together? Who's they? Well, I don't know. The AI. The AI's. Like, because they didn't know how to talk like that? Because wasn't the Terminator?
Starting point is 01:07:46 Those were AIs, right? Terminator. AI. Yes, I believe that Schwarzenegger was an AI, but he chose to. He was the good one. Yeah, yeah. Well, not at first. He was bad.
Starting point is 01:07:56 Correct. He was, they didn't understand him. Well, what's good and bad? Mark Twain, you ever read that damned human race? No. Never mind. All right. No.
Starting point is 01:08:04 No. Doesn't matter. Taurus dies after falling 250 feet into an active volcano while posing for a photo. We don't do a lot of death stories in the news unless it's like a big tragedy or like an earthquake or fire or something we can help. We just don't do a lot of death. But this is something for me to say that I think people can remember. I know you want to get that picture. But let's say it's a 1 in 25 shot.
Starting point is 01:08:28 You hurt yourself or die. It's not worth it. This person fell in a violent. volcano. It's not worth it? I don't know you can get that close to an active volcano. You're not supposed to. You're not supposed to. The tour guy that was taking them had walked him up but kept them a safe distance from the edge of the crater and repeatedly said you cannot walk over there. You cannot walk over there.
Starting point is 01:08:48 But then this person started walking backward and then to get a picture and took a step too far. Oh my goodness. So the New York Post. Kim Kardashian suffers about 100,000 follower loss on Instagram featuring. because the Taylor Swift song. Oh, thank you, Amy. With Kim spelled in big letters. Did it a disc track?
Starting point is 01:09:08 TMZ. As the kids called it? Basically. Oh, man, it is. It's a bronze sprayed tan statue. Like, your kid will come on singing my song. It cuts. Yeah, my mom is considered a same, but she wishes you were dead.
Starting point is 01:09:18 The only person that plays a victim all the time more than Taylor is me. I'll be honest with you. Taylor's awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're the best, too, ever at that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We've listened to the record a couple times, but it's a lot of songs. There's a lot.
Starting point is 01:09:32 It's a lot. I can't do double albums. I have the patience for that. Cheap decades old, drug could be used, and it could be the secret to longevity. Metformin, which helps people lower their blood sugar and treats type 2 diabetes, could also protect against cancer, cognitive decline, and heart disease. What if it's just some random sitting around thing that we just, is always existed, that we never knew and could save all a bunch of lives.
Starting point is 01:10:00 And that's how we beat AI, 200 years. Just like that. We take this drug. We live. We fight it. How do you get it? The doctor? So you normally could, wait, why are you asking?
Starting point is 01:10:10 You're not asking for general curiosity. You're asking for you. Oh, yeah. I mean, I don't know that I'm going to take it, but I'm like, wait, is this like this sounds like it's for longevity? Yes. Yeah. I think listeners may have thought, oh, how do you get it?
Starting point is 01:10:23 They're just elaborating on a new story. That's not, you're just asking for yourself because I would probably take it. My doctor was like, that's cool. Because I would like less cancer, cognitive decline. heart disease. That's like everything. Scientists are testing their hypothesis with what they think this drug could be. And so the six-year trial, which is happening now, but you could probably volunteer.
Starting point is 01:10:46 Type 2 diabetes. Just get that. But I don't have diabetes. You can just eat a lot of sugar. Coutcakes. Every day. I know. But I do have cancer, like a lot of cancer in my family, so I could qualify. But they do those trials to make sure that other people. bad stuff doesn't happen.
Starting point is 01:11:04 Yeah, I know. I have to deal with the other side effects potentially. And I get it. AirPods, Rolex watches, Louis Vuitton bags. This is so legit. This is amazing. A company is selling lost luggage items. We've talked about this trying to get some stuff from them. And now there are just so many people that are buying like these random.
Starting point is 01:11:21 It's almost like the palette. Yeah. Yeah. But how do they get these contracts? This is high end palette. Yeah, that's what I'm wondering. Because it's not only like, because it said airports, like they get them from like lost and found at airports at TSA and stuff like that.
Starting point is 01:11:32 But they also do hotels. They have long-term contracts to buy unclaimed items from airlines. Now, you have to also understand that 99% of the stuff that you get is going to be crap. Trash. But. But how does someone forget a suitcase at a hotel? Eddie left his iPad. Maybe in a hurry.
Starting point is 01:11:50 You leave one suitcase back. You took three. You didn't know you had four. You're not going to leave with your only suitcase. I left my laptop on the airplane. Laptop on airplane. And it was kind of hard to get back. It's sort of like when you go, you're in the airport and someone says, hey, if you left
Starting point is 01:12:02 your computer at TSA checkpoint 2, please return to TSA checkpoint 2? I'm like, how do you forget your, you just put it on the conveyor belt, went through? You can forget a lot of things. And secondly, just the suitcase question in general that you were angry about. First, if you have like four bags and you forget one small one, like that makes a little bit of sense. Okay, I guess you're right. I've never traveled with more than one suitcase, so I don't really understand how that it works. You should think about other scenarios before you get mad.
Starting point is 01:12:28 You ever travel with more suitcases than one? Yeah. Guitars, suitcases. Yeah. I mean, especially if you go on like a vacation vacation. Like my wife's like, we don't have to not check. We can take two suitcases because I refuse to go anywhere. You do.
Starting point is 01:12:41 We won't go. Or I'll just go and not have enough clothes because I do. I won't. You won't go on the trip. Like you won't go? Or I won't let people come with me if it's like a work thing. Well, yeah, no. I mean, I definitely, when we were traveling a lot, I definitely learned how to always make it fit into.
Starting point is 01:12:56 Yeah, because we don't want to sit there for two hours as it comes through the hole. Yeah, yeah, yeah. On the belt. Yeah, no, no, no. You're not messing around. You're like, We go, we grab our bag, we get off, we go get our crap done,
Starting point is 01:13:04 we get back on the plane, we go home. Yeah. Anyway, happy Tuesday, everybody. So, yeah, it's called unclave baggage. That's amazing. Like, this one is amazing. But I don't know how we can buy them ourselves. Because they're listing some of the stuff they found on there.
Starting point is 01:13:22 A diamond ring appraged the $37,000. Whoa! A Cartier Pantheir watch, $26,000. bucks. Urme's Birken bag, 23,000 bucks. What? Props from the Saw Movie franchise.
Starting point is 01:13:35 Yeah, there's memorabilia too. A $12,000 pair of Louis Vuitton, Nike Air Force One sneakers. Jeez. Can we find us the site? Here we go. I'm itching. I'm it for some action.
Starting point is 01:13:48 The second half of 2024 is going to be huge, especially for Netflix, because Squid Game is coming back, which was awesome. Is it the game game? No. The game show or the movie? The real show, Squid Game 2.
Starting point is 01:14:00 Ooh. Oh, man. I don't even like subtitles. That's one of the best shows I've ever seen. Cobra Kai, which I stopped watching, but I did like it. And the night agent and more, but Netflix is going to have a big number two. I liked the night agent. You did?
Starting point is 01:14:14 I don't know if that is. The guy with the phone, red phone. Is it a phone? Yeah, it rings at night. Oh, and he's an agent? Whoa. Does he get to agent team? Hollywood reporter with that.
Starting point is 01:14:25 A mom wins $1 million from a powerball. ticket bought by her son. A Virginia woman won one million bucks. I mean, first of all, just to win that kind of money, even when like $10,000 would be absolutely insane. But she won a million bucks from a powerball ticket. Her son gave her because he was leaving out vacation. Oh.
Starting point is 01:14:45 First five winning numbers, a million bucks. Boom. The son went with the mom, but he's not, he's not wanting any money. UPI with that. Bada bivaboo. That's the news. Go. bodies.

Starting point is 01:16:15 You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield. And in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck.
Starting point is 01:16:38 I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe.
Starting point is 01:16:56 On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The director of the NFL's East-West Shrine Bowl, Eric Galko, joins the Sports Slice podcast to break down what really matters when evaluating draft prospects. And for more, follow Timbo Slica Life 12 and TikTok podcast network on TikTok. Let's go to Kim in Florida.
Starting point is 01:17:46 Kim, you're on the Bobby Bone show. What's going on? Hey, good morning, video. Morning. Hey, I was just calling about the price is right. Did you go on? You guys have been talking about. Yes, my husband and I actually were on.
Starting point is 01:18:02 the end of March. Did you go in the audience or did you get on the show to play? We were actually in the audience. Okay. And we were up to be on the show. You don't know until, you know, it happens. But we had filled out the form ahead of time,
Starting point is 01:18:24 had a priority pick it. So we knew we were going to be in the audience, guaranteed. It had like 173 people. he goes through the whole process of like a 20 second interview basically it kind of goes through a room really quick and they only took nine people did you have like hyper energy out of 173 like in that interview part of the 20 seconds this is going to be the craziest 20 seconds they've ever experienced for me exactly i'm be doing everything i'm flashing home and i'm screaming yeah yeah yeah yeah did you do that did you show high energy yeah i mean nobody in my group was picked and really really the nine that they picked, I only saw like enthusiasm of two of those people.
Starting point is 01:19:09 And I'm sure it's not just enthusiasm. I'm sure it's they're going to get a white man and a woman and somebody that's black and they're trying to also make it representative of the people that are watching. I would. I wouldn't take the nine most enthusiastic 54-year-old men,
Starting point is 01:19:26 white dudes. You know? So I'm sure there's a, it's like when they would cast for idol. They want a good singers, but if it was... Diversity is important. But you don't take seven of the same exact singer, same age,
Starting point is 01:19:39 same race. I would assume there's a big part of that casting process that's that as well. We're just trying to get lunchbox on that show. When they say come on down, it's not random. It is because you don't know you're getting picked. Right, you don't know you're getting called. They say your name. It's like, come on down. So were you disappointed, Kim, when it was over
Starting point is 01:19:56 and you did not get picked to play the game? Not at all. Not at all. It was just amazing. It was so fun. Out of the nine people, you know, stick still on stage. The whole experience was just so fun.
Starting point is 01:20:11 We were there probably five hours. I mean, it's a long, drawn-out process. I'd have been resentful. But it was just a lot of fun. Like five hours? I should have got cold.
Starting point is 01:20:23 It's five hours. You got to shoot stuff over and over again. You got to shoot stuff over and over again. They edit it down. They went, whoa, whoa. No, there's a process. There's a line. There's going through the interview. They're seating. there's the show.
Starting point is 01:20:33 Sometimes that show takes longer to shoot. I mean, yeah. All in all, probably about five hours. I did not realize they reshoot. Like, if they call their name, they make them run down the aisle three times. They're not saying that, but everything combines the five-hour production. Yeah, she's saying from start to finish. Is that like more than one show that they shoot in that five-hour?
Starting point is 01:20:49 Great question. Hour. How many shows do they shoot while you're there? Three, they do three shows a day. But we were, so it was like an eight noon and it's two-thirty. so nobody else was around when we were there. We didn't see anybody else. Wait, did you go to both of this?
Starting point is 01:21:07 But you start. No, just one show. That was only one show. Got it. Well, I'm sorry you didn't get on. Lunchbox, you got to go in and be the most dominant middle-aged white dude. Oh, dude. No one will get a word in.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Yeah. They'll ask the lady next to be a question. I'll answer that for her. Oh, that might be too much. Yeah. Can you go too far? You know what to be mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:28 Thank you for the call, though. We really appreciate that. Scuba Steve says he has connections. It can get lunchbox. on game shows. So we'll see. We should have to get him there. Yeah, but he said he paid for himself
Starting point is 01:21:38 to go. We give him the time off to do it. He says a lot of things though, so he has to actually physically purchase the ticket. You have to tell me the dates. I can't buy a ticket without dates. Well, how about after this, you don't meet with me. Just go out there. Just fly out there and just sit on my thumbs. Sit on the airport until we give you a call.
Starting point is 01:21:55 A surgeon's fired because he was doing genitals of the day. What? When they were sedated. Stop. Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Starting point is 01:22:05 What? What do you mean? He was terminated after a two-year investigation that found he regularly gawked at the genitalia of anesthesia. This is why I don't want to go under. And never disclosed he was being paid by a medical device company whose products he used on certain patients. He looked under the surgical covers who were under anesthesia and discussed the genitals of the day. I mean, it gets pretty wild. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 01:22:28 He also took more than $700,000 from a company that made. makes joint replacements and never reported that conflict of interest to the county. That's from KTLA. I mean, that's, I don't like following that account. I did for a while, but I stopped.
Starting point is 01:22:40 Did you tell you other day? Yeah, yeah, your generals of the day. But it was only mine, and I wasn't one running it. Right. Yeah, yeah, so.
Starting point is 01:22:45 It was on private, but that is not okay. That's not okay. And that, and I get it, some smart people are make really dumb decisions. Yeah. But you just trust a doctor.
Starting point is 01:22:55 But they're people too. They're just like normal people. No, no, that's not normal people behavior. He's saying that's idiot behavior and normal people do idiot things. That's awful. That's terrible. You just expect a doctor to have a higher understanding of what is so freaking stupid that you're going to get caught. I mean, even lying about the conflict of interest, right?
Starting point is 01:23:16 Okay, I get that a little bit. Yeah, because money, I mean, you see those big dollar signs. You get a little blind. But to lift up and go, oh, the genitals of the day. And have anybody even hear you say that? Because eventually your partner, your friend in the room with you. you're going to turn on you. Damn.
Starting point is 01:23:32 Business deal counts sour, who knows? Yeah, I thought that was pretty wild. You guys call us if you want. Our number is 877-77 Bobby. Eddie has experienced a bit of racism. He wants to talk about it next. Where? Well, hopefully not here.
Starting point is 01:23:52 It's not here. Okay. Like, it's not in the studio now. Well, I mean, it could be, but not the one I experienced with. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's, hey, Amy, it's dumb. Not racism, but racism's terrible, but Eddie's story is dumb. Bones, you don't know.
Starting point is 01:24:06 But it's hilarious that this happened to him. Hey, you don't know because it didn't happen to you. Okay, but I know what it. We'll come back next. This couple tried to forge a $1 million lottery ticket. They took two non-winning tickets. Put them together, like patched. It's crude, too.
Starting point is 01:24:23 Like you can tell. It's like a bad fake ID. And so they took it and they were like, we want a million dollars. and they, it's bad. I think it's not even a good counterfeit. But like even then, like, what do they expect them to hand over a suitcase full of money? You have to scan the ticket, right?
Starting point is 01:24:39 Yes. Yeah, you have to scan the number and it's going to come up invalid number. Like, it's not even going to match. It's not about what it says on the front of the ticket. We promise, look. ABC Action News, with that.
Starting point is 01:24:51 Eddie, I know you said you've experienced racism and there's this, I don't like to make a lie to that. However, I think when you tell the show what's happening, to you. That's not exactly what's happening. I just thought we were on different times, but whatever. No, it's not. Go ahead. So I have a remote control at home where, like, you tell it what you want.
Starting point is 01:25:09 Like, if you want to see a show, whatever, you tell it. Like, hey, remote, do this, and then it finds the show for you. Well, my kids wanted to see the three caballeros, which is like an old cartoon with like a Donald Duck or whatever. So I asked the remote, I was like, hey, will you find the legend of the three caballeros? Nothing. The wheel search. The search wheel, whatever, keeps going.
Starting point is 01:25:31 Nothing. Remote, can you find the legend of the three caballeros? Nothing. So I was like, all right, well, maybe it doesn't understand me. So I said, will you find the legend of the three caballeros? And then, did it came right up. There it is. Here's your show.
Starting point is 01:25:47 So what your point is? It's racist, man. Like, my accent, which is pronouncing it the right way, three caballeros. I mean, the remote only speaks English, like American English, white English. What are we talking about here? Yeah, probably. What? Why can't we speak Spanish-Axent English?
Starting point is 01:26:05 This is not what I would consider. Exactly. Racism? I would say just doesn't understand your accent. I talk to things sometimes like Siri or whatever the stupid. And she doesn't understand me because I have an accent. So is she racist? No.
Starting point is 01:26:18 Oh, well, maybe. Maybe. Is there an Espaniel button, but then you have to speak full Spanish. Oh, good point. I can't do all that, though. I just like pronouncing. Like, you know, I'm going to get chips in guacamole. I like pronouncing it the way it's supposed to be pronounced.
Starting point is 01:26:31 I don't think your remote's racist. I think the setting that it's on probably understands English. Dude, there are so many. As it were said by someone who doesn't have a thick Spanish accent. But yes, it has trouble recognizing my southern accent too sometimes. What do you call it in sports when someone's like not a fan but their fan?
Starting point is 01:26:48 Like a fair weather fan. What's that called? Sure. Is that what it's called? Yeah, or Van Wagon. Don't even. Don't even. Eddie's like a fair weathered Spanish speaker. Yeah, bandwagon Spanish guy.
Starting point is 01:26:56 No, man. That's my culture. I am who I am. You hop on when you... When it's convenient. Get to say it like tacos. Yes, he's like... Guacamole.
Starting point is 01:27:04 My remote is racist. It's white. Right. You imagine all the Spanish-speaking people out there that can't find the legend of three caballeros? No. I think they... But if you always fuck with that accent, but you talk normal... Or your accent, accent, accent, and then you go tortilla.
Starting point is 01:27:18 Tortilla. Lobby Bone Show. Bonehead. Story of the day! This story comes to us from Fisher's, Indiana. A man was going 107-1. an hour on his motorcycle. You're like, man, that's crazy. Not only was he going 107 miles an hour, he was standing up on the seat while he was doing it. No. Going down the highway. Wild. Wild that
Starting point is 01:27:39 people even stand up on their seat, but I'm like, okay, maybe you're so skilled. First of all, doing that in traffic, not good. But if you're going 30, okay, to me, seems dumb, but that's on you. Are these people that are okay with Dine? Or probably they do not have that thing in their brain that tells them this could go wrong. And if it does, they're probably not going to be around anymore. Going 100 on a motorcycle to me is crazy, much like standing on it. You know what, screw it.
Starting point is 01:28:04 Getting a motorcycle's crazy. That's true. That's crazy. Yeah, what happens? I mean, the police pull him over, but they got dash cam video of him just kind of going side to side. Thank God they pulled him over too. Going by semis.
Starting point is 01:28:18 He's having a time of his life. You hit a rock? Like I know, by the way, and I don't. A little pebble. But you hit a rock on a motorcycle, like a big, it felt like he's just going to dump over. And I assume, and I haven't ridden my bike. Your motorcycle?
Starting point is 01:28:33 No, my bicycle. Bicycle? Well, Lunchbox was ride his bike to work. When I was training, I used to go ride on roads. Oh, yes. And I would train on roads. And cars that you have to watch out for them watching out for you, not just watch out for them. But you have to watch out for them watching out for you.
Starting point is 01:28:49 And if they're not watching out for you and they do something wrong, even though you're right, you lose. Yeah, it's scary. And then also I think about, like when I'm driving my car, I'll, kind of. kind of zone out and I'll look around and I, oh, kind of hit the, you can't zone out at all when you're driving a motorcycle. Yeah, and then also when you're zoning out like that in the car, but you also ride a bike or you're like, oh, I shouldn't do this because I could accidentally.
Starting point is 01:29:12 A cyclist. When I got my CDL and I was driving the big rig, you guys remember that about a year ago, now, two years ago, it's first time ever like fully respected how constantly aware truckers have to be because even if they, they do everything right and somebody else does something wrong, it's a disaster and they kill cars. Because they're huge. They're huge. And so truckers just doing the right thing.
Starting point is 01:29:36 But if a car does something stupid and it hits the truck or the truck, the car loses. The trucker's got to be double aware. That's why it was particularly disturbing when I saw the truck driver reading a book while he was driving. Yeah, but what book? Was it how not to be distracted? Because it's so. That's a good point. I'm lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:29:52 That's your bonehead story of the day. I've heard of like having a happy hour. and happy hour that people can go to like hey everybody we can get together but I've never heard of a mandatory happy hour because that doesn't feel very happy but Lunchbox wants to have a mandatory show happy hour
Starting point is 01:30:09 today or tomorrow yeah because I just know that we all need to get together in bond It doesn't feel like this is true No no no just let me finish and we get Eddie having a couple drinks and you know what happens when Eddie drinks He likes to talk
Starting point is 01:30:27 he likes to do things he's not supposed to to like when he had Gavin deGraw's number he called him because he was drunk do things I'm not supposed to but he hasn't signed he hasn't signed the NDA yet that we talked about earlier I don't know anything dude
Starting point is 01:30:39 he doesn't know anything right now I mean I don't really care about the secret but you want to get him drunk and squeeze it out of him it sounds like but like I said I don't care about the secret but if we want to have our mandatory happy hour we can test to see how he good he is at this NDA thing
Starting point is 01:30:54 but he hasn't signed it yet so he doesn't know the secret Hey Scoob, Steve. Any update on that? Yes, I have the document that printed out. When he leaves today, he'll sign it. So he will be in force. See, so we have a happy hour tonight. Since this morning, you've been talking to them and they are good to go. Yeah, I got a phone call just about five minutes ago. So yeah, we're all good to go. So who tells me the secret? So who tells them the secret?
Starting point is 01:31:12 So they want me to tell him the majority of it and then they'll have something for him to listen to as well. What? Okay, so let's not say anymore. What we should do then, we should do it on tomorrow's show. send them off during a segment have them come back and not say anything. Coming up after the break, Eddie will say nothing. Man, now you're really testing to me.
Starting point is 01:31:32 When he's listening to whatever, can he put headphones on, sort of like you get a live reaction, like we wouldn't be able to hear it, but he gets to comment like... I don't know because I don't know if it's a song or a voice. I don't know. I don't know the secret. So I don't know, therefore I can't make any rules about it. So I would say no. Because I don't want to get Eddie in trouble for doing anything.
Starting point is 01:31:50 But live reaction. But what about happy hour? But his reaction could actually lead into what it is. And plus, who knows if I'm going to react? You don't know what I'm going to do. We can't hear anything. Well, that's actually, I like Amy's idea. What if we did something where I put something in Eddie's ear?
Starting point is 01:32:02 I go in another room. He can hear me and you guys can get his reaction as I'm telling you. He can hear you. That's okay. But we can't do, if there's any sort of art involved, if it's music or movie or something. He can't do that because I feel like that would give it away and then he would lose a million dollars. Yeah, I won't do that part. I'll just give him all the details, which the details alone will make him have a great reaction.
Starting point is 01:32:21 Okay. So I like it, but it can't be. If it involves any art, it can't be him hearing that if that's what it is. He can hear you from another room. Yes. But, okay. I'll do 90%. Yeah, the other 10% will be the art, and I won't play that or do anything with that.
Starting point is 01:32:35 Okay. It'll be everything else, which is enough. We'll do that tomorrow. Okay. You guys getting a little fomo? No, I don't want to know what it is. No, lunchbox does. He wants to get you drunk and take advantage of you.
Starting point is 01:32:44 I just thought we go out. That sounds bad. Do things I'm not supposed to do. Yes. Thank you. See you tomorrow. Bye, everybody. The Bobby Bonds show. A win is a win.
Starting point is 01:32:54 A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement
