Starting point is 00:01:53 Morning, studio. Morning. All right, let's go around the room. He says he makes a lot of money on Instagram Reels, but the actual amount could probably only cover a few meals. Here it is. Producer ready, everybody. Guys, I'm watching a good show on Apple Plus called Dear Edward. And I guess it was a novel. I didn't know anything about it, but it had the name Edward in it. So I started watching it. And Connie Britton's in it. And like some, there's a plane crash.
Starting point is 00:02:17 It starts with a plane crash. And then, you know, maybe not everyone lives on it. I don't want to spoil anything. But because of that. But you just did. No, that's part of the synopsis. I'm not spoiling anything. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:28 So there's it, lone survivor. And because of this lone survivor, it brings a lot of people, families in that plane that died, all their families get together. It's so cool. And it almost reminds me of like a this is us kind of feel. Remember this is us on NBC? Yeah, that was good. That was really good for two seasons. And I thought, right. I think they're still making that too. But I loved it. The problem is I'm dozing off when I'm watching it. And then they say Eddie in it and I wake up. I'm like, well, who was that? So let me get this straight. In the description of the show, the plane crashes. Correct. And only one person lives. Correct. And because of that one person,
Starting point is 00:03:01 it's affecting a lot of lives and family members of the people that died on that plane. What does the one person have to do with that? You'll have to watch the show. Okay, see? You held out. You held out. It's so good. And it's on Apple Plus?
Starting point is 00:03:13 On Apple Plus, yeah. I don't know if I have that. You do. That's how you watch Ted Lassow. Ted Lassow and you also watch that morning show. The layoff. So what's it called? Severance.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Severance. Oh, no. You're right. I guess I do have that. You got it. All right. Thank you. Moving on over.
Starting point is 00:03:29 He's a father of three and he tries to get as much as he. can for free. Here he is. Lunchbox, everybody. Something I didn't get for free, guys, but I booked my second ever Airbnb. Last summer I stayed at some random person's house in Georgia, and it was amazing. It was like their actual home and the person just leaves, whatever you come. And I'm like, wow, that is awesome. I booked another one. I'm going to Oklahoma City for a wedding in about a month and a half. And they said, oh, here's our hotel block. If you want to stay at the hotel, it's like, no, I'm going back and doing that Airbnb thing. What did you like about it that gets you
Starting point is 00:04:01 so excited about it. You can creep on people's lives. Like it's just interesting. They have family pictures just hanging on the wall. Like he had a concert he was going to on, you know, some date the last time and he graduated from Auburn University. It was awesome. So it's not about the space
Starting point is 00:04:16 or no front desk to check in or a refrigerator in the full, it's someone else you can creep on. It's someone else's house. It's just so fascinating to me that they just open their doors and say, come in my house for a weekend We'll go find somewhere else to stay.
Starting point is 00:04:33 That blows my mind. Well, the house you're staying, it could be just an Airbnb house, too. Most that I've stayed in have just been houses that are set for Airbnbs. Yeah, when we moved somewhere for a little bit, we weren't at our house and we Airbnb did it, and it was a great way to make extra money or pay for that mortgage. So sadly, I don't know if it's for sure or not. No, no, no, mine was for sure. No, the one you're going to.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Oh, yeah, I have no idea. But I will report back. It is going to be awesome. I've already gotten a message from the person saying, Oh, can't wait to have you. Why are you coming? Where are you coming from? They're being so nice to you write them a good review, by the way.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Oh, is that why? Yeah. They need it because people will go look at the reviews of the house. The business. Oh, well, yeah. Here we go. Oklahoma City. I'm coming for that Airbnb.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Another reason is multiple rooms. You get a house if you got you and your wife and your kids and my parents. Dad and mom. Yeah. We got like my parents, my sister, her kids. There's going to be seven kids in that house. Oh, man. Well, you'd be disappointed if it's just an Airbnb specific house.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Yeah, it's going to be a huge letdown. Because you want to creep on it. Yeah, I want to see their lifestyle. Yeah. Okay. Next up, she's pretty proud of her kids' school project that she made, and now she's just waiting on the grade. Here she is.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Amy. So I think I might need to book a special appointment with, I don't know, maybe a bone doctor or a surgeon, because my tailbone is really sticking out a lot like it's a tail. And nobody else has it. The movie with Wendipaldro. Sounds familiar. And she has a, or, oh, and he has a tail.
Starting point is 00:06:06 What is, I don't know. The Seinfeld, George Costanza guy has a tail and they find out on the show. Yeah, so your tailbone sticks out so much at the tail. Right. And so it comes up every now and again when I'm with friends. That's bizarre. And I mean, I'm sorry about that. All our bodies are sacred.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Yeah. Right. So I felt like I'm somewhat normal until it comes up again. And then I'm reminded by all my friends that that's not normal. and they've never felt that before because I make them feel it. You make them feel it? Yes. The tailbone?
Starting point is 00:06:34 It's a tailbone. I don't want to feel it. No, that's your butt. No, it's not your butt. It's your tailbone. It's still, it's the top. If you're touching your tailbone, you're real close to your tail hole. Yeah, you are.
Starting point is 00:06:44 You know what I mean? Is it painful, Amy? It's only painful if I'm not. When you get excited to the wad. Do you knock cups off the table? It has stood out to me before at yoga if I have to do boat pose, which is kind of you balancing on your tailbone. And I was always amazed.
Starting point is 00:06:58 did everybody in class being able to hold it? And I couldn't because... If I scratch it behind your ear, will I see the back of your pants, go back and forth? Stop. I don't know. I mean, maybe one of the girls on the show could touch it and she could tell y'all.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Morgan, do you want touch your tailbone? I mean, yeah, I could tell you. Okay, okay, here we go. This is very strange. What is the tail? Wait. Wait, can I feel it with the jeans on? Wait, okay.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Yeah, leave your jeans on. Take my hand and you put it where I should put it. What is going on? That's low. Oh, my God. It's an actual, like, she has an actual tail. Like there's like a little bone It comes out
Starting point is 00:07:32 Yeah That's so weird No what do I do Well you have a tail First step one Never talk about it publicly But she already did Should she call the name?
Starting point is 00:07:42 To find a time machine Go back and never talk about it publicly It's not like a tail I would go get it looked at Right It's like a little nub You should call the news Amy So I did fall off a slide
Starting point is 00:07:55 When I was in like second grade That would break it though Well, I wonder if though, it just kind of like pushed it out a little bit. It's like a pinky coming out of her butt. Weird. Okay, well, do you want to feel it? No, no, God. No, I don't want to feel it at all. I don't want to be grossed out.
Starting point is 00:08:10 A little bitty bone is going to gross you out. It ain't a little bitty if it's knocking things off the table. Like, you know this thing that's on your wrist, that bone right there? That's kind of what it feels like, but a little bit more sticking out. Yeah. That's what it feels like. Like a tail. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Well, so nobody else has this. No. No, shake your tail feather. No. I'm good. I've rubbed right now just a check. Yeah, me too. There's nothing there.
Starting point is 00:08:31 You know, I got nothing there. All right, Amy, thank you. Cool. All right, great one, go ahead. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas. He doesn't take long naps like lunchbox. And unlike Kansas, Arkansas rocks. Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Thank you very much. Well, a little story from over the weekend that I didn't have time to share yesterday. We went to Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday of last week to watch the Arkansas, Illinois game. It was snowing. if I know where to park. So we pull up and it said VIP parking. I just pull into the side and I said, hey, how much to park here?
Starting point is 00:09:04 She goes, no, you had to have already bought a VIP pass. So I said, okay, what if we have VIPs in the car? And she goes, I don't care. And I said, well, does Brett Eldridge make you want to put us in the VIP? And she goes, I don't care. And I said, what about Mr. Morgan Evans? And she said, I don't care.
Starting point is 00:09:27 And I was like, okay, fine. But I could throw one more name at you. Producer Reddy. And I swear to you. She goes. Okay, I think we have one spot open. Guys, he's not lying. No chance.
Starting point is 00:09:40 It was so weird. You had to say Bobby Bowie. I don't say me. I would never say me because I'm embarrassed. If they say no, it's humiliating. I never said me. So who did she think he was? No, no, no, it could have been the timing.
Starting point is 00:09:51 It really could have been where, like, she did. I have bred Elders. Oh, I'm going to tell you is we started laughing so hard. I laughed the hardest. I was like, guys, anytime you want to use my name. That's what led us in. That's hilarious. So I don't know what the situation was.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Maybe she's just a big Eddie fan. Maybe a lot of people are starting to turn that way. Are they? Eddie, I'm thinking of other Eddies that are famous. Eddie Van Heelan. Eddie. Eddie Murphy? I said producer Eddie.
Starting point is 00:10:21 You did say producer Eddie. And she was like, maybe she heard Professor Eddie. Hey. She did go like, I might have an extra parking space. She did. I'm telling you. Eddie changed the world for us.
Starting point is 00:10:34 It was hilarious. Well, that's awesome. Yes, it was awesome. I'd like to shout out. You know what, Earth, for allowing that to happen. And for Eddie, for being such a good dude, that allowed that to happen. You're welcome, guys. It's a Bobby Bones show interview.
Starting point is 00:10:47 In case you didn't know. They are coming in right now from the Hyundai Green Room. It's Brad, the lead singer of Three Doors Down. It's Kevin, the lead singer of Canada. Box. And just a second, we'll hear, performed right here from the stage, this song from Three Doors Down. But also they had Kryptonite, which was the jam back in the day, or when I'm gone, which is massive. So that was for you early 2000s kids. But for like 90s kids, Candlebox also coming in, the lead singer Kevin's going to perform. Maybe you remember this song
Starting point is 00:11:24 right here. They're going to perform right here in studio. They're coming in now. What up, guys? Come on in. Here they are. Brad from Three Doors Down. And Kevin. from Candlebox. On the Bobby Bones show now. Brad Arnold of Three Doors Down and Kevin Martin of Candlebox. You know guys, I know we're here today to announce a tour, and this is basically the only tour I would ever pay money for. Yes, I just want you guys to know.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Like, when I know Brad, I thought we're friends now. If I saw you at the grocery store, I go up to him and be like, what up, buddy, give you a hug. Absolutely, man. But Kevin, I hadn't met you yet, but I grew up, you know, listen to the Candlebox is like crazy. So it's really, really great to spend time with you here. said you guys were willing to come in, I said, how much will it cost me? Like, that's how big a fan
Starting point is 00:12:10 I am. So, Brad, let's start with this. Three Doors Down going out, doing the tour. We are. And how do you find, and Kevin and Candlebox, like, how did this tour come together? Well, we actually played a show together last year. It was last year. And I think we talked about a little bit then. And the timing kind of worked definitely. And we're both going out this summer. And I couldn't think of a better combination. When they asked me about it, I was like, Yeah. Who's they? Well, I guess, yeah, I guess, man, it's been.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Like your people? Got it, got it, got it, got it. Our people called his people. Because whoever they are, I like it. Like, whoever they are, I like it. And so when you guys go do these shows, Brad, are you playing any new music at all? We actually are trying.
Starting point is 00:12:52 We have one song that we put together just on the last tour, and we need to put a couple more together between now and then. We'll see how that goes, but we will play a little bit of new music. Not too much, though. That's my point. Yeah, not too much. You know, just a little bit. If you got something.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Exactly. You know, one or two, and then we nostalgia out. Exactly. I mean, Kevin, so, you know, we'll listen to Candlebox growing up. Your voice to me was that of like a quiet intensity, like together constantly, didn't know where I was going to go. How in the world, because I have so many friends that are now 40, 45 that used to sing and they have to like not sing hard anymore. How are you not talking your songs at this point? I drink a lot of whiskey, and that's no lie.
Starting point is 00:13:34 I mean, I, years ago, you know, I never did a lot of drugs or anything. And I started singing when I was six years old in choir. And I always sung all the way through high school because, you know, it's nice to have that elective that, you know, you don't really have to pay attention to. But I never really wanted to be a singer-and-rock band. And I was a drummer, and I got kind of stuck with this gig with Kettlebox. And that's no lie. That's why the first record.
Starting point is 00:13:56 You got stuck with the gig. Yeah, I got stuck with the gig as a lead singer of a rock and, reluctant lead singer of a rock and roll band. So the first record, I didn't really know what I was doing. And I went through a lot of issues with my voice because I just didn't understand how to perform live. And then over the years of getting used to what I was capable of doing with it and understanding how it worked and getting away from, you know, liquors that are like vodkas or whatever that kind of dry your voice out, I started drinking whiskey in like 1998 and it changed everything. Now, I don't, I'm joking like with a lot of whiskey. I'm making a note here. Start drinking whiskey today after the show.
Starting point is 00:14:29 But I do. I have, you know, I sip on it during during the shows. And I found that it helped. But I do take care of it, man. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. And I'm relatively healthy. Kevin, are you ever anywhere? Because I know the answer for Brad, because I hear it every time I'm in Kroger,
Starting point is 00:14:45 three doors down. It's like rocking on time. You ever somewhere and you hear a candlewalk song? You're like, dang, this is like a family place now. Back in the day, this would never been played at John's Pizzeria. Yeah, I heard it once in a Walmart. It's funny. It's always far behind.
Starting point is 00:15:00 I mean, you know, that's the song. It's been paying my rent for 30 plus years now. but yeah I do and it's it still feels good I remember the first time I heard it we were outside of Seattle we were in Las Vegas and it came on the radio station and you know there's nothing like that feeling when you hear your song on the radio the first time
Starting point is 00:15:15 and you're like man I've made it and even if you don't it's just somebody else is playing your song and it's a weird feeling but it's funny when you're in a grocery store yeah I get fish sticks yeah I heard you and Kroger you know Brad with three doors down what were the lean years like when it was
Starting point is 00:15:31 I don't know if we're going to be able to do this. Like, what were you? How was living? Were you in a van? We were pretty blessed to always, you know, when Kryptonite came out, it was successful pretty quick, you know, but at the same time, you know, nine months from that, we were prepared to quit because we had been a pretty successful little local band, even though we never toured and we were from a little town, we did really good around there. And when kind of like, you know, you go through phases and everybody kind of kind of gets war out on it, you know, me and Matt, our original guitar player, we were both like six months away. He was like, all right, if we don't do something pretty quick
Starting point is 00:16:04 and we have something substantial happen, we're going to go to college. Because we were just teenagers. And by the grace of God, within that time, like, CPR down in Mississippi, started playing the song, and it became a hit, and we got signed. And, I mean, but we were on the verge of giving up ourselves.
Starting point is 00:16:23 You know, you don't hear your accent when you sing, which is weird. British people, too, for the most part. They'll be like, why, Mike, go! And they're singing, like, hello, here I am today. You ever hear that? People talk to you and they're like, oh, I didn't expect you to be so country. All the time. I feel like if you guys came out now, you would be like a country, like a rock.
Starting point is 00:16:41 Like if you existed right now as three doors down brand new, you'd be here. We would be, absolutely. Well, Kevin, that's not the case with you guys. You guys would still be going. You're from like the northwest though, right? Well, I was born in Chicago, but I was raised in the South. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas. Oh, you did?
Starting point is 00:16:56 Yeah. So every now and then you'll hear me slip into a little bit of the y'all and that night. But I moved to Seattle when I was 14. in 1984. And that was, my dad took a job with an old boss. And that was, and at the first concert I saw there was Chris Cornell playing drums with Soundgarden as a three piece. And he was singing like a banshee.
Starting point is 00:17:13 And I was like, man, what is going on in this city? You know, and that was it for me. I was immediately enamored and inspired by just great music from that beautiful little town. I feel like you guys came out and you can correct me because this is not any note. Like after the whole grunge thing happened, and I felt like you guys were kind of unfairly compared to it because it wasn't really exactly the same time, but because you were from Seattle, people were like, it's another Seattle band. Do you feel like that is, that observation is somewhat
Starting point is 00:17:40 accurate? Very accurate. I mean, it's, it was an easy label to throw on a band like candlebox because the whole city was considered grunge. You know, we're, we're about five years and age younger than a lot of those guys as well. So, you know, I was 16 years old working in a shoe store when Chris Cornell was coming in to get flyers to hang up on the walls, you know, so we did come around a lot later than those guys. So it hindered a little bit of our career. I mean, we were never media darlings like the rest of the grunge band.
Starting point is 00:18:09 So it kind of was like we kind of had to beat the door down ourselves, which was fine. You know, I mean, here we are 30 years later, still doing it. Different thing about turning to a boy band, though. About that time, too, you could have easily flipped over it and learned to dance. Yeah, I should have. Did you ever sing any other kind of music?
Starting point is 00:18:23 Like growing up, like in choir, like you probably could have been a good stage singer. you do that at all? I'm first tenor. I did a lot of drama in high school because it was where the girls were. I always took the electives where there were girls. I'm a big fan of women. But yeah, I sang in drama and I sang in choir. I did, I've done pieces in Italian, French. I did a barbershop quartet with my brother, which was a lot of fun for a couple years, you know. Did you have to drop all that once you guys got cool in Candlebox? I don't want to see Candlebox singing a barbershop quartet. I'll be honest with you. Not that time.
Starting point is 00:18:57 No, I stopped that right around the age of 17. When you are in a band that is coming from Seattle, and obviously you have all those influences around, you were able to see them as a kid? Did you ever see Nirvana play? I did, yeah. I saw them play Radio Shack, the notorious videotape that's going around. That was down in Tacoma.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Saw a lot of the early screaming trees, gigs, grunt truck, Skinyard, Sound Garden. I was at the Moogie Blaylock show when they played. A Pearl Jam? Come on. Yeah. I mean, you know, at the time, a lot of people, just assume that Seattle was this massive metropolis. It was a tiny little town, man. And it was like,
Starting point is 00:19:32 you know, I think when I moved there, there were maybe a million people in the entire Seattle community. So, but all the venues were within a mile of one another. So a lot of them were all-ages venues, which you could go and see these bands play. And some of them that were bars, you have to have a fake idea to sneak into. But yeah, I was, I was fortunate enough. And like I said, I worked at Blue Vogue Shoes, which was where Susan Silver, who had silver management, she was managing Allison Chain, Sound Garden, Screaming Trees, a bunch of those bands. I worked with her, so those guys all come in to get flyers and stuff for the shows. And that's how I met a lot of those musicians as well.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Brad, you're putting this tour. It's the three doors down away from the Sun anniversary tour with Candlebox. How long, who goes, do you have like a baby that comes on first? Or does it go straight Candlebox? That may be too much for me. It's us to... Wow, that's it, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:25 It's straight. Like, let's go. Yeah. So... Get there early. Exactly. Yeah. So when the ticket says the show's starting, you want to be there for that part.
Starting point is 00:20:32 The show's starting. Yeah, because you're like 25 minutes after, you know? I'm going to feel. I missed the baby. Doors are at 8? Yeah. 8.30. So, Brad, you've been playing with these guys, obviously, with three doors down for a long time.
Starting point is 00:20:44 Can you guys just, like, look at each other and do a chin move or an ear? You know now. You've communicated so much over such a long period of time. A little bit. Or like you give them to look like, that was a wrong note. That's not the right song. That's the wrong note. There's more wrong notes.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Does that ever happen where you look like, what was that? Yeah. Are you the alpha? No. I think we're all just kind of, we're all just kind of there. If there's an alpha, I think in our band, it's Greg, our drummer. Who will just take control if he has to? Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:14 Yes. We definitely looked at him to be the band leader. Do they ever talk, do you guys talk to each other on the mic, not where the crowd can hear it? I'm always concerned that Mike's really going to put something out. So we've stopped using that because I'd be like, hey, Eddie, I can see a winner. I'm afraid that I'll go over the top. So we stop using that now. I have one back there by Greg that I have a little stult box that I can talk to my monitor guy.
Starting point is 00:21:36 The band guys can't hear me. But my monitor guy and my front of house guy can hear me. Because sometimes, you know, I have a lot to say to my monitor guy sometimes. And I have a new monitor guy and I have a lot of nice things to say to him. And in the past, I've had some less than nice things to say. but I like sometimes I'm a one of my pet peeves is when my feet
Starting point is 00:21:56 start vibrating if the sub starts running too hard I can kind of it mess with a diaphragm on the mic and sometimes it mess with your vocal cords you know just so much vibration so if I can feel it
Starting point is 00:22:06 through my feet I'd be like hey hey Curtis you want to back it down a little bit buddy you know and he will and that's the only people they can hear through mine what song does this does a three doors down crowd
Starting point is 00:22:16 sing back the loudest um say here without you and kryptonite. But the thing about here without you is who sings it back. Because here and there, we've got stuck on some shows that really, if you
Starting point is 00:22:31 just looked at the list, you're like, three doors down is on that? But you know, on those shows, we play some of our deeper stuff on our records, and some of our deeper stuff is a little heavier than stuff you hear. And so it fit in those shows just fine, but it's so awesome to see like this big, gnarly, like
Starting point is 00:22:47 biker looking, just like rip your arms like, dude. He will be the most fervent singer of here without you in the crowd. He's going full emo. Damn it. It's crying. It's amazing. Brad, will you play? I'm here without you?
Starting point is 00:23:01 We will. All right. Brad Arnold, from Three Doors Down, by the way, we're announcing the big tour right now. It's the Three Doors Down, away from the Sun, anniversary tour with Candlebox. I will be there. Are you guys coming here? We are. Okay, good. All right.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Yeah, I'll be there. I don't know where I'll be. Under the stage. Drinking the sweat of my favorite. favorite artists. All right, here we go. Ray, are we good? Now we are.
Starting point is 00:23:25 A little snippet of the second verse. Still intense as ever. Come on, you sound good. I was worried to ask you that guys I just sing this early in the morning. I was like, I'll just talk to him. You give me goosebumps, man, when you sing. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:23:38 I love his voice. Killing it, dude. I sing it like four times in the car all the way into town. That's what I do every morning driving into the show. I'm just talking to myself. People have to think I'm crazy
Starting point is 00:23:47 because I'm also loosening up. I've got hours and hours of show to do. All right, there he is, Brad Arnold from Three Doors Down. Nice job. Okay, Kevin. Let's switch it up. Oh, it's my turn. It's your turn now, baby.
Starting point is 00:23:59 That's what I call him, baby. Baby. Listen, I grew up. It's the first time we've had Kevin in from Candlebox. And Brad's been so gracious to play, like, shows with us and be on this show. And we did the... You've been so gracious to have me. We did the Three Doors Down anniversary of the album together.
Starting point is 00:24:13 We shot that. So I'm a big, big Brad fan, big Three Doors Down fan. We're a big Bobby's fan, too, really. Kevin, I need you to be a big Bobbi's. I'll be a fan now. I tell you what, I think I might be. All right, so I like to hear. Tell you what.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Will you do, can you do like a verse and course and far behind, Kevin? Absolutely, absolutely. Come on. I'd have dropped that like five times. I'd be like, me, yeah, yeah. No fear. No fear, baby.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Killed it. Jump right in. Hey, Kevin, are you an OCD type guy? I am. I very much am so where I'm trying to fix it a little bit. So with you and your OCD tendency, Are they cleaning? Are they straightening?
Starting point is 00:24:54 What is it that's affecting you? It's pretty much everything for me. Like, on the bus, I don't know about you all, but we have, I send out specific rules. No shoes in the hallway, nothing left on the countertop. Oh, you go full me mall. Yeah, it's full on. And I have a special glass cleaner spray that I use on countertops and everything. It's like disinfectant stuff.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Like I'm super paranoid. We have ionizers on the bus to keep people from getting sick. Good for you. I'm super, super crazy. I'm that bigger fan. Wow. Yeah. So Lunchbuck's here doesn't know a lot about music.
Starting point is 00:25:24 He doesn't even like music really in general. I've heard that song before. Yeah. Whatever. I don't know what it's called. He doesn't care about music. He's like when he runs, he runs to nothing. It's just bizarre.
Starting point is 00:25:33 Air. That's it. Sounds just beautiful, man. I had him watch the Woodstock 69. Yes. And then you watched the one on, was it not, did you watch 99? I've watched part of it. I haven't finished it.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Which was the, were you at 99? No, 94. Were you at, okay, you were 94. So what was 94 like? It was amazing. It was awesome. Yeah, it was beautiful, man. Well, we were on tour with Metallic at the time.
Starting point is 00:25:56 So we had to get there from, because they added Friday night at the last minute. So it was like bands like Collective Soul Live, us, and then the violent femmes. We were the headliners on Friday night. So we had to get from Kansas City to wherever that. It was not Woodstock, New York, but I think it was even further north by Friday from a Wednesday. And then Metallic was playing Saturday night. So we kind of had to rush ourselves there But I remember I stayed up most of the two-day drive
Starting point is 00:26:25 Because I was so excited I mean it was exciting touring with Metallica But like I knew I was going to play this amazing 300,000 people show like I couldn't sleep man I was I was so excited to get there And we got there and they wouldn't let you watch the other bands Because the stage would turn And they wanted you to experience the 300,000 people wave of excitement man
Starting point is 00:26:45 At one time It was beyond Yeah I will never ever ever forget get it. Did you have any friends that played the Disaster 99 one? Well, yeah, a lot of the bands that played it we're close to. What did they
Starting point is 00:26:56 call you and be like, oh, dude, be glad you weren't here. No, but you'd run into them on the road afterwards like, you know, months later, and they'd be like, dude, that was a mess, you know, but I think it was just, you know, when you're, when you're greedy like that and you're going for the money and you know, they were charging like $10 for bottles
Starting point is 00:27:13 of water, something, something stupid. So they do now at every NFL game? We're like, no, man, that's bullcrow. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I did, the guys in the offspring, we played a show with them about six months after, and they were like, man, it was a mess. Well, let's talk about the tour. So, Brad, you put this together. You're all over the place.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Tickets go on sale on Friday this week. What do you want people to know, Brad, if they're on the fence about this tour? Come, come to this. Get off the fence, come out. It's going to be a great time. I'm excited about this. I really, this is going to be a great show. It's going to be a show that you leave on the way back to the parking lot with your buddies, high-fiving.
Starting point is 00:27:53 I think, man, I think it's going to be a great show. I'm excited about it. Are you playing all the hits? We are. I can honestly say I haven't been this excited about it to her in a while. Because if you said, no, I wasn't coming. He's like, no, we're playing no hits. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:28:06 All deep cuts. Nobody knows them. We're thinking about maybe, of course, playing the hits and stuff. But last year, and we're not going to do it quite like we did. One of the Better Life 20th year anniversary, we played the entire record. just front to back. We played other stuff too. Thinking about doing that in some dimension, maybe like playing the whole record,
Starting point is 00:28:24 but just slicing some other stuff in there as well. It's kind of fun to do it like that. But it's kind of weird sometimes, too. We'll see how it goes. Well, look, thank you guys for coming in and playing. It's awesome, big fans of you both. Bradgie and I love you. And Kevin, we'll get there, buddy.
Starting point is 00:28:38 We're off on the right foot, though. That's what I say. That's right. So go check it out. Tickets on sale this Friday. And the song TV series, tell me about that. Oh, the song TV series, we just filmed that. It should air.
Starting point is 00:28:52 I'm not really sure when it airs. We came out and filmed that at TGL Farms just recently. Acoustic set. And the first time we've done anything like that in a little while, turned out really good. I'm excited for that to air. Me too. What if you said, you know, we did it and it didn't turn out very good.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Of course it's going to be good. I'm always worried about things like that, man. Three Doors Down, Candlebox. Tickets go on sell this Friday. Go to Three Doors Down website. Go to Brad's Social. tickets are everywhere. You can find all the links up there. And we will see you guys soon. All right. There they are. There they are. Three-dor-Stown Candlebox. Thank you for having this, lovely.
Starting point is 00:29:28 A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeart Podcast presents soccer moms. So I'm Leanne.
Starting point is 00:30:35 This is my best friend, Janet. And we have been joined at the hips since high school. Absolutely. Now a redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip, just a little bit bigger hips, wider. This is a podcast. We're recording it as we're. We tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey with all the snacks and drink.
Starting point is 00:30:53 Sidebar. Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer? They had a bogo. Well, then you got it. Do you want a white claw or something here? Just a hit it. What are y'all doing? Microphones?
Starting point is 00:31:02 Are you making a rap album? I would buy it. Cutts through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake. That sounds delicious. Oh, you're lucky I'm not a drug addict. You are. I'm not an alcohol. You're lucky. I'm not a killer.
Starting point is 00:31:19 I love this team, and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on. Oh. Listen to soccer moms on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, Ernest, what's up? If you want to learn how to build wealth, understand the markets, and think like an owner, Earn your leisure is the podcast for you. Listen to Earn Your Leisure on the I Heart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:32:22 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. Mark and Cynthia Rutledge, they live in California in the San Bernardino Mountain area, and they've gotten a lot of snowfall in the past few days, and their house was just covered in snow
Starting point is 00:32:42 that they were actually snowed in for 18 days. They thought they were never going to be able to get out of there. But one of their neighbors walked around and got video of their neighborhood, posted on social media and it actually got attention. Here he is talking about it. This street was just forgotten. And it was pretty much forgotten until our friend and our new best friend up here on the mountain.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Julie started putting things into the social media. So then what happens? Yeah. So they sees it and goes, hey, let's go save them. I think there was so much going on that the authorities didn't even know about what was going on up there until they saw that video. And so they went in and cleared the street, cleared the house. They used that little thing, that little, they hit the door. Oh, the battering ram.
Starting point is 00:33:18 I think they plowed the streets first. have battered the snow instead. Like on cops? That'd be cool. But in the end they're good. Yes, they're all safe. That's him talking. And that he's so cute. I love that he said the social media. The social media. He's older. I know. I love it. That's good. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:33:34 That was Tell Me Something Good. I on Nashville put up power rankings in country music. Artists. Like they rank online college basketball teams. Nice. Who do you think's number one? And I'll get to it. Number one, because you know it's going to be basically one of two people. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Who do you think is number one?
Starting point is 00:33:52 Luke Holmes or Morgan? Yeah, well, pick one. You got to pick one, Amy. You know it's going to be two. Right. Hogs them both. Okay, okay, I'll go Luke Holmes. Morgan Wallen.
Starting point is 00:34:02 Morgan Wallen. Morgan Wallen. Dang, Amy. Dang. You did try to pick both. I respect that. At number 10, Ashley McBride. Oh!
Starting point is 00:34:14 Ten at 10. So this is top 10, like college basketball rankings. At number nine, Jordan Davis. Oh! Chris Stapleton at 8. Wow. And I don't know the writer is Hank Scorpio. I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:34:36 I'm assuming some of this two is like what's happening currently as well as forever. Because it's definitely a relevance poll here. Cody Johnson at 7. Kane Brown at 6. Now we're in the top 5. The country music power rankings. At number five, who else do you think is in the top five? So obviously the two you guys pick.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Yeah, Luke. Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen. Who else do you think's in there? The other Luke. Luke Brian, Garz Brooks. Lainey Wilson? You say Lainey Wilson. That's good.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Luke Brian. Garz Brooks. Golly. Okay, Luke Brian. And so, again, it's all people that have stuff going right now. So Garth Brooks did not make it. Number five, Carrie Underwood. You got a big tour right now.
Starting point is 00:35:27 I'm a single. Zach Bryan at number four. Laney Wilson at three. Woo. I got a heart like a truck. And number two, Luke Combs. Okay. Number one, Travis Tritt.
Starting point is 00:35:50 No. Not true. No, Morgan and Wallach. Five, according to this guy right now. Morgan, Wallham, Luke Combs, Laney Wilson, Zach Brian, and Carrie Underwood. Okay. Any argument there?
Starting point is 00:36:05 Anybody you put over them? No. I mean, I'd probably put Kay. I put Cain Brown into the top five. Definitely. I put Cain Brown up there right now. Otherwise, I don't really have a problem with the top five. I mean, Luke, Brian, why so?
Starting point is 00:36:18 He didn't have a single on the radio right now. Yeah, but I mean he's on TV. And I don't think he's touring either right now. What's he doing? He's chilling? I don't think he's on TV right now. He's taping, but I don't think he's on TV right now. True.
Starting point is 00:36:27 True. Okay. Still working, though, you know? Bad argument. He just had, what, crushed my plight last month or two months? Yeah. Listen, no one's saying he's not a superstar, but this is like. Calling him lazy, man. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:36:38 This is like saying, well, Kentucky's always been a terrible basketball team. No, no, no. They are massive and have been for a long time. But the last few years, the last couple months, he hasn't been up there to make the list. But I'm sure he will. Okay. Coming early next month. And then Bailey, like.
Starting point is 00:36:51 Bailey's Liverman? Top fines? He's not in there. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Zach Bryant. Oh, yeah. People are obsessed. That's crazy, man.
Starting point is 00:36:58 Yeah. I mean, Zach Brian was a guy that blew up on YouTube and then took YouTube over to TikTok and then turned TikTok into massive mainstream success. It's been really cool. to see. All right, well, I on Nashville. I can't wait until they release it. It's like every week we wait for the polls. Who's number one this week? Here's a voicemail from Colby in Austin, Texas. Scroll on their Instagram and I see Lunchboxes post about why haven't you all bit on the Yeeys? Everybody wants a pair of Yeasies, right? So I click on his Instagram link, takes me to the eBay page. Bobby, he is charging $54 and $70.
Starting point is 00:37:38 for shipping on a $90 item. How insane is that? $54.70 to ship a pair of shoes. Is that true? People are idiots. Like literally, it says anywhere from $11 to $54.
Starting point is 00:37:59 Because if it goes overseas, you have to charge overseas shipping. If you're local, it could be as little as $11. Like, I don't do that. So he's just reading it wrong. The only reason I haven't wondered if that was real is because you've messed up every part of this. Yeah. I mean, I put it up there and eBay says, and it has the, when I click on it, says anywhere from $11 to $54. I don't know what they see when they click it.
Starting point is 00:38:21 That's up to eBay. I don't handle that. But you can click through it as well just to see what. But I do. And when I click on it, it says $11 to $54. I'm sure that could be right. But you understand since you've messed up every part of this and it costs me a lot of money. And I've had numerous people reach out and say, why are you charging so much for shipping?
Starting point is 00:38:36 And I'm like, guys, if you're putting in your address, and that's what it says. I don't know. Maybe that's the rate. I weighed the shoes. I know how much they weigh. It was a disaster to get into business with them. It was a disaster.
Starting point is 00:38:45 We bought a storage unit and everything inside of it without knowing what was inside of it. I paid for 75% of it and he was going to do the work. I've been doing the work and it's been hard. And Scuba did even come to me and goes, dude, I clicked on your link and it says $54 for shipping. So you thought that too, Scuba. Yeah, and I know how to use eBay and using it since the 90s. It says $54 for shipping. I don't know what he's talking about.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Maybe that's why nobody's buying the shoe. Probably, yeah. But then I showed Scuba how I haven't listed as $11. Like, I don't know how eBay works. Like, I don't know their algorithm thing. I'm a bobber, but. Thing I'm a bobber? If they're charging $54.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Hey, scuba, can you work with you today? Just see what's up. Like, scuba. Yeah, I'll fix it for them. Just see what's up. All right, here's Amy from North Carolina. Morning's video, what do you call people who take care of chicken? Chicken tenders.
Starting point is 00:39:32 Nice. Amy's morning, corny comes up in 15, 20 minutes or so. Here's Amy's pile of stories. We talk about flipping people off on the road and how it's just not nice. We shouldn't do it. Also, it's gross. Yes. Aside from being not nice, it's just gross.
Starting point is 00:39:49 I just don't like that finger in general. Cut it off. We should all cut off our middle finger in solidarity. Go ahead. Okay, so some millennials and Jen Ziers are all about giving the thumbs down. Oh, all thumbs down if somebody is a bad driver, not if I'm not. So middle fingers if you're mad, thumbs down as if you're not that mad,
Starting point is 00:40:10 but you're like, you're just a bad driver. I'll thumbs down somebody. You know, if you thumbs down me, I wouldn't get mad. I'd be like, oh, wow, okay. Exactly. It's supposed to be like,
Starting point is 00:40:20 you know, I'm not mad, I'm disappointed. That's what thumbs down is to me because I'll thumbs down somebody. I'm just like, yo, boo. Yeah, so what's the deal? That's exactly it. It's like, hey, yeah, I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Let's be better. Let's be better than this. Yeah, that's me judging you instead of me just not liking you. Yeah, that's cool. So start, when you're irritated and you want to use the finger, use the thumb. Well, no. They mean different things.
Starting point is 00:40:42 It means different things. Right. No, no. They're saying that they're transitioning to this. They're not about the finger. They're about the thumb. No, if you're mad, you can figure out. Thumbs downs if you really are like, you have disappointed me.
Starting point is 00:40:53 You're a bad driver. You shouldn't be on the road. Don't do double thumbs down, though, because then you'll wreck. Oh, man. No hands on the wheel. Okay. What else? So more than half of Americans are waiting for a show to totally end.
Starting point is 00:41:04 Like, if an episode comes out on Sunday, They let all eight Sundays come out before they even start watching the show so that they can watch it all as quickly as possible. Yeah, I did that sort of with Last of Us, which is the best show I've seen in a long time. Well, it's the best show I've ever seen in my whole life in the last six months. So I love it, but I waited for like four or five episodes because I knew I just didn't want to always sit waiting for the next one. That's annoying. Great cliffhanger. Oh, seven days!
Starting point is 00:41:33 That's a stinky feeling. So I'll do that some. I haven't watched any of Yellowstone this last season after the, I guess I watched first two. Then I was like, I'm out until it's over. And then severance, or not severance, but I comes back on HBO. Succession comes back. Yeah. This week, I think, right?
Starting point is 00:41:48 Oh, yes. And so I probably won't watch it the first episode. You wait a little bit. Even though it's the last season, I'll wait a little bit, yeah. Oh, gosh. And Ted Lasso is coming out. Oh, I haven't started that either for the same reason. I need to go four deep before I can hit it.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Laney Wilson was on the Kelly Clarkson show, and she was talking about the first song that she ever wrote and she was only nine years old and Kelly was like hey well sing us some of that it's called Lucky Me Lucky Me I feel free and I can't deny that he loves me which I know that he does so he is the one lucky me
Starting point is 00:42:20 oh I said oh I'm the one for him Wow nine Well I mean it's not like a man he is Lenny's blowing up Yeah, he's big in a yellowstone like it's really cool to see Okay I maybe that's my pile That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:42:37 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. It was a cold dark night. And Grand Rapids, Michigan. And Gabe is out delivering pizzas at 3 a.m. And it's kind of cold and snowy. And he drives. And he goes, man, that looks like a little girl that's out in the freezing cold, maybe three years old.
Starting point is 00:42:59 And he's like, that's not right. So what's he do? Does he pull over and help her? No. Gabe rushes and delivers the pizza. into the house that he was supposed to deliver to. And he's like, man, I'm a father of seven. There's something out right.
Starting point is 00:43:11 Goes back looking for the girl. Can't find her. He finds her behind a building, curled up next to some bricks. She had gotten out of her house and gotten lost. She went to bed. Her mom put her to bed. She woke on the middle night and just went for a walk. And luckily, he came back, found her, called police,
Starting point is 00:43:25 and they were able to track down the mom. First of all, how lucky that he found her, that you went back to. Second of all, yeah, I don't think that's a parenting fault. No, no. She put her to bed. and then she still gets up and three is probably that age where you start to be able to open doors
Starting point is 00:43:38 and actually move around. I can see my son doing this. And that's what she said. She goes, I thought she was asleep in her room. But my thing is, Gabe, great job. You should have stopped the first time?
Starting point is 00:43:48 Yeah, bud, like, I mean, I know you gotta deliver pizza. It's three and... I'm gonna hate it. I can't. Tell me something hateful. He had a job to do. Well, still...
Starting point is 00:43:56 I mean, she could have gone on the pizza delivery with him. His conscience probably got him. We like that. That means you're a good person and got something in there. And in the end, everything worked out.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Yeah. And it also sounded like you were doing Regulate when you started. I was. Did you like that? It was a clear black night, a clear white moon. Warren G was on the streets trying to consume. That's good. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:44:17 That was Tell Me Something Good. All right, here's the voicemail we just got. I just listened to the Thursday episode, and I heard about Amy's separation with Ben. And, of course, I'm really sad to hear it, but I'm happy that they're, moving forward and choosing the best for themselves and choosing the best for their kids. As you guys always do, thank you for sharing everything about your lives and just being so honest and straightforward. And I love the show. So yeah, thanks. I'll see you. What was the feedback for you after that?
Starting point is 00:44:53 Oh, very positive. I was very, very grateful for all the love and support that I felt. It meant a lot. And it wasn't new. I feel like that was some of the computers. too because I was just now announcing it. And I know we said that we've been taking a couple of years in this process, but it's not like we just filed. Like it's, we're about to sign, like it's been months and months and months of working on it actually happening. Right.
Starting point is 00:45:20 So it's nothing new. But we are so grateful for the support. I would say it was, I don't want to say 100% of anything, but it was so positive for you and supportive of you that I saw. The messages that really just hit me and made it. like, okay, this was good to share. It was from people that are literally going through the exact same thing right now. And they just felt seen and that they weren't alone.
Starting point is 00:45:46 That's how I feel when I mentioned I'm left-handed. A lot of lefties reach out. Oh, yeah? And they're like, yeah, I get pencil on my hand too when I draw. Yeah. Sitting in desk was hard as a kid too because it was on the wrong side. Ball gloves are hard to buy. I felt that Amy.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Yeah, same. Same. Same. Same. Okay, let's go over and do the morning corny. The morning corny. Why can't basketball players go on vacation? Why can't basketball players go on vacation?
Starting point is 00:46:13 They aren't allowed to travel. That was the morning corny. In the next segment, we're going to play TikTok, show and tell. For example, and I give you mine, and I know all you guys went home, you found something cool on TikTok to bring in. I'm going to do this one. You ever have a rug? And the corner, like, won't go down.
Starting point is 00:46:37 Like, it's rolled up. But you can't get it to lay all the way flat. I hate that. Me too. So at that 40-year-old guy is shocked, and he shows there's a simple way to get a corner to lay flat on the ground. It has to do with ice cubes and putting some heavy on it. Hit it. Let's try this out.
Starting point is 00:46:54 The corner of this road has been stood up forever. Put some ice on it. Let that melt. We'll come back and check it out. So all you have to do is put something on it for a bit. pour ice on it. And when you come back in whatever, 15 minutes, the ice
Starting point is 00:47:12 and the heavy thing together keeps it down. Because I've stuck stuff on the edges, then I still come back and then there's a little bit. As soon as you take it up. It's like 15% to 40. So it's ice cubes and something heavy.
Starting point is 00:47:25 Come back when the ice is melted, which could be 15, 20 minutes. Pull the thing off. Boom, it stays down. Wow, that's cool. And he does it in this. And if you believe TikTok, which I do. Boom.
Starting point is 00:47:33 So I got another one too. I've got a really good one coming up. But that's what we're going to do. things you've learned from TikTok. TikTok, show and tell. Coming up next. You all were given the task of being on TikTok. How'd they go?
Starting point is 00:47:47 That's awesome. We are anyway. So with that being said, it's like find something that you found cool on TikTok and bring it in. It's TikTok, show and tell. Mine is first. This girl, OKY Casey, has a PSA to remind you that if your social media is public,
Starting point is 00:48:03 like TikTok, Instagram, employers can pull up your profile when you go on for an interview, and they will. They'll look at it. Look at everything you've ever posted. Actually, this happened to her during an interview. Here you go. If your social media is public, like TikTok, Instagram,
Starting point is 00:48:19 please remember that employers can pull it up during an interview because tell me why I just wanted for a job interview and they pulled up my Instagram. And they made her look at all the pictures with her, with them. Wow. Like, okay, let's see what you do publicly here. And so she was like it was very, very, very, weird and eye-opening, and so don't put anything up there you wouldn't want a future boss to see.
Starting point is 00:48:41 Here's one more. This is from Lindsay Rogginbuck. She has tons of tips and Lifex, and she constantly does this. Number one, a hack for using a AAA battery to replace a double A battery. Did you even know this could be done? No, there's no way. They don't fit. Well, I'm glad you're here.
Starting point is 00:48:56 It's tick, talk, show, and tell. Here we go. If you're in a pinch and you need to replace your double A battery, but all you have is a triple A battery, don't worry. All you need is some foil. Just roll up some tinfoil and put it where the battery's negative terminal connects and as long as you have enough to fill in the gap, your device should still turn on. No way. Wow.
Starting point is 00:49:13 That's legit. Who knew that? Okay, number two, how to make a grilled cheese without a stove? If you want to make a grilled cheese but don't have access to a stove, here's what you do. Just flip your toaster on its side, put two slices of cheese on your bread and then put them into the toaster. Once they pop out, just put your slices together and there you go, instant grilled cheese. That's legit. Wow.
Starting point is 00:49:32 Lunchbox you're looking at the sky. I'm confused. And would you explain what she just said? Okay, so when you put a toaster on its side, if you keep it right up and you put it in, the cheese will go down into the bottom of the toaster, which is bad. But if you put it on its side, then the cheese stays on the bread. Melted cheese, yeah. But doesn't the toaster squeeze the bread together?
Starting point is 00:49:49 Like this, guys. Right, doesn't it squeeze? Doesn't it squeeze? There's two slots. And when you put it on its side, you got to make sure the cheese is up on top of the bread. It's on the bottom slit. It's like the oven. It's like an oven you're putting a piece.
Starting point is 00:50:04 pizza into. Yes, but when you press down on the toaster handle, it squeezes it so the cheese is going to get all over the toaster. I guess you need a wide toaster. Mine does this. Mine's wide enough for this. I can put a piece of toast and there with something on it. Okay. And it'd be fine. And then squeeze it?
Starting point is 00:50:19 I'm sorry, I'm big your cheese, man. I'm just saying, when I hear it, I'm like, no, because it'll still squeeze it and the cheese will get all over the... Oh, mine doesn't squeeze. Oh, mine literally just goes in. Yeah, no. Oh, you have a toaster of it. Yeah, you have a toaster of it. No, I have a toaster. Oh, you do? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:50:34 It's a fancy toaster. Yeah, but it's only fancy because the screen on it more than the right. Yeah, mine squeezes it and there's metal bars and the cheese would get all up in it. That's prison, bro. That's why I was so confused and I'm sorry for ruining your TikTok show and tell. Here's a hack for keeping pizza crispy when reheating it in the microwave. You know how when you reheat pizza in the microwave, the crust tends to get all chewy and hard? All you need to do is put a little dish or a cup of water in at the same time and microwave it,
Starting point is 00:50:59 and your crust comes out nice and soft and fluffy. That works. A little deal. Put water in it when you do it. when you do it. Finally, here's an easy way to separate the egg yolk from the whites. If you want an easy way to separate your yolks from your whites, check this out. Crack your egg onto a plate, and then you're going to take your water bottle, squeeze it a little bit so the air comes out,
Starting point is 00:51:16 and then put that bottle on top of the yolk and release, and it sucks the yolk right up. So you take the bottle, right? Wow. Squeeze. So when you let it go back up, it's going to suck the air, period. But if you put it on top of just the yolk, it sucks up into the bottle. Wow. And there's just,
Starting point is 00:51:32 Amy's jaws to the ground. I'm going to try that. I don't even care about just getting an egg wine, but I just want to try and see if I can be a scientist. That's cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:39 I mean, I watched it on TikTok. It worked. So I believe it. All right, TikTok, show and tell. Amy, what you got? Mine's from brunch with baths, which is the grandma you didn't know
Starting point is 00:51:47 that you needed. And she gives all kinds of tips. And we make a lot of bacon at my house and I never know what to do with the grease. My kids love bacon. She put up this amazing way that you can save your bacon grease. Like you get an egg carton once
Starting point is 00:52:00 you've used all the eggs, save it. And then you pour the grease into each little egg hole and it makes these little grease pods. And then you can reuse it. You put it in the freezer so that it freezes. Yeah. Because you're not supposed to put grease down your drain or anything.
Starting point is 00:52:16 Right, right. So normally you store it in like a jar or whatever. But this is a way where you can get that bacon flavor and reuse the grease like if you're making eggs or something later. Just take a styrofoam egg carton and pour your cool bacon grease right into little egg holders. Close and freeze. Once they're frozen, just pop them out of the eight cartons, place them into a bag,
Starting point is 00:52:36 and back into the freezer. When you need just a little baking grease, it's ready to go. Time to fry my eggs with that baking grease flavor. And then just pop the pot. I'm watching it. Yeah. It's a pod right on there. Hey, keyword, it's cool bacon fat. Yeah. Not the hot one. That'll go right through that milk. Yeah, you let it cool off. Yeah. Oh, you know, definitely right, right, right. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Cool it off a little of it. Hey, I know we're talking about foods. I want to get the story in and then we'll come to you guys. But do you see where the frozen berries? A frozen fruit recall is underway due to a possible hepatitis A contamination.
Starting point is 00:53:06 Reading this story from Yahoo. The recall involves an organic tropical fruit blend sold at Trader Joe stores nationwide and organic strawberries sold under five different names, including Costco's Kirkland's signature and Aldi simply nature. Oh my gosh. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention says there have been five cases of Hep A, all in Washington State. With all five patients have eaten frozen organic structure. Imagine that's how you get it. I don't even actually know how you get hepatitis A. I don't know. Hepatitis A is a highly contagious liver infection caused by hepatitis A.
Starting point is 00:53:40 You can get it from close personal contact with an infected person through certain types of, you know, Bound Bown Bown, you know, caring for someone who's ill or using drugs with others. It is very contagious and people can spread it before they even feel sick or apparently by eating frozen blueberries. Because if someone, I was like, oh, you have a peptide to say, how did you get it?
Starting point is 00:53:58 Blueberries. Oh, okay. Strawberry. Liar. What? Isn't it? It's strawberries. Is it only strawberries?
Starting point is 00:54:05 It was in. My blueberries are safe? I think your blueberries are okay. In a mixed bag, but yeah. Oh, maybe that's what it was. Oh, man. I just texted the wife to see what our strawberries are. Two hospitalizations have reported no deaths.
Starting point is 00:54:18 They're sorry. Oh, they didn't say. Oh, my gosh. Sorry about that. That is from Yahoo. I'm going to say this. We'll come back. Who's the guy
Starting point is 00:54:26 other TikTok show on television? Oh, I got one. Two, three. Ray, do you have one? Me. Okay. You want to do more or no? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Yes. Okay, hold on. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions,
Starting point is 00:54:44 my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now, I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. Starting point is 00:55:30 or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. Hey, Ernst, what's up? Look, money is something we all deal with, but financial literacy is what helps turn income into real wealth. On each episode of the podcast, Earn Your Leisure, we break down the conversations you need to understand money, investing, and entrepreneurship.
Starting point is 00:55:52 From stocks and real estate to credit, business, and generational wealth, we translate complex financial topics into real conversations everyone can understand. Because the truth is, most people will never taught how money really works. But once you understand the system, you can start to build within it. That means ownership, smarter investing, and creating opportunities not just for yourself, but for the next generation. If you want to learn how to build wealth, understand the markets, and think like an owner, Earn Your Leisure is the podcast for you.
Starting point is 00:56:22 Listen to Earn Your Leisure on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, everyone. I'm Cheryl Stray, author of Wild and Tiny Beautiful Things. I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast called Mind Over Mountain. In each episode, I interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes and life experiences that informed and inspired their extraordinary feats. I also bring a bit of advice into the mix so we too can better understand how to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Starting point is 00:56:59 Do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to pull out what you already have inside. We're coming into this world, fighting for our lives. All I'm going to do is pull out what you already got inside. We're there to support and celebrate each other. And that's not like your story versus my story. You're going to walk up and over that dang mountain. You're not just going to put your mind over it.
Starting point is 00:57:17 Yep, yep, exactly. And if I can't walk up and over it, I'm going to go through it. Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, TikTok, show and tell. Things we've learned on TikTok that we felt were so interesting. We wanted to bring it here. Eddie, what you got?
Starting point is 00:57:36 Spencer. barbosa on TikTok. She did one of those, I was today years old when I found out this thing. And, dude, when I saw this, I'm like, oh my gosh, mind blown. I had no idea that this is what this meant. Roll it, Ray. I was today years old. I found out that someone tells you to break a leg before an audition because they hope you end up in a cast.
Starting point is 00:57:59 Oh. In a cast. Because you're like, you're an actor at lunchbox. Hey, break a leg, man, when you go out there. Yeah. Is he an actor? Well, he says he is. But it's because they want you in the cast.
Starting point is 00:58:11 That's funny. Like when you break a leg. I thought it was always for the opposite. Like you say the opposite. So it doesn't jinx them like you're going to. No, no, no. No, no. Being a cast, like the cast of, like you're cast in the, this.
Starting point is 00:58:22 show or the play. We know. You're saying the opposite. No, I said I always thought it was the opposite. I like to say break a leg, which is the opposite of, hey, do a good job so they don't jinx you. Correct, which is not the case. Hey, hey, hi, what are he saying? Stop right there. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:58:36 No, no. Hey, she has another one. Listen to this one. A TV show pilot is called a pilot because it's the first time it's on air. What? That's good, too. What? That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:58:48 I didn't know that one. Here's the deal. I haven't fact-fected. Flying a plane on air. Oh, okay. But a pilot's not always on air. Like, I shot a pilot. I did a daytime talk show pilot with Dion Sanders.
Starting point is 00:58:58 And it never got picked up. Yeah, but the whole point is for it to be on air. But a pilot, though, is not always on air. Hey, you know what you need to take off? A pilot. Yeah, yeah, I hear you. I don't know that I agree with that one. Because I've done pilots that never made the air.
Starting point is 00:59:10 Well, I don't even know if she's telling the truth. Yeah, who cares. All right, is that it? Yeah, that's it. Okay. Yeah, lunchbox, we knew the cast part. I was saying I always thought it was. Listen, I got confused.
Starting point is 00:59:21 Now I'm really confused on what is right and what's wrong. I'm confused about upside down and the right side up. Oh, man. Stranger things. Are we even in a reality? Are we in a sim? Here we go. Lunchbox, what do you have?
Starting point is 00:59:32 I got Weather Adam. He's from Houston and he does weather. And he has his listener say, hey, what song lyrics do you want me to fit in the weather forecast today? And they send him like Snoop Dog, red hot chili peppers. And he goes with musical lyrics as he gives the weather. He wants Snoop Dog. I have done him before. Jim Juice in the past.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Today, though, doing Who Am I? What's my name? Yeah, challenge accepted. From the depths of the sea back to the block. So that's how it looks now. To keep up with the forecast, follow me, follow me, follow me, follow me. And pretty soon we'll step through the fog and we'll creep through the smog. And we'll be able to see a little bit of sun popping out this afternoon. Forecast from the most accurate meteorologist, guess what?
Starting point is 01:00:08 He is I, and I am him. We're going to be warm and humid with highs in the 80s. It's like that. And as a matter of fact, rat tat, tat, tat. We've got a front that's knocking on our door. I'm just annoyed by this day. Hey, hey, I worked with him. You did?
Starting point is 01:00:19 That is awesome. This was kind of originated by brew on the radio. Uh-huh. Where he was like, I'll say things and get him fitting on the air. And then everybody started like doing his deal. So, yeah. Do you get a lot of likes on that one? Oh, yeah, he's blown up.
Starting point is 01:00:34 Really? This guy? Yeah. Yeah, he's got. Were you annoyed by him or no? No, I mean, I just was like, what is happening? He's not even really fitting him in. He's just doing them.
Starting point is 01:00:42 It's not like people don't even know what he's doing. Thank you, lunchbox. You know what? He used to do, you know, he used to do the whordle of the day. When wordal was really hot, he would sneak Hey, do the weather, bro. No, he's fun. Come on.
Starting point is 01:00:52 He's been crazy. Hey, we're trying to, like, get a tornado warning coming up right now. Macarena. Now, look, over on, no. That's funny. That's funny. I like, I just probably, I like crazy weather ray guy. Crazy Ray, the weather guy.
Starting point is 01:01:06 Maybe that's why I'm so defensive. Yeah, I was like he's better than Crazy Ray. Nobody's better than Crazy Ray. Morgan, what do you have? So I learned from this guy named Armin, something mind-blowing about the AirPods you use every day. Airpods are McNay. Kids on top of your laptop. So look, my AirPods are sitting right here on top of my laptop.
Starting point is 01:01:24 They're stuck to your computer. I had no idea. I had no idea. Yeah, that's crazy. I had no idea they were magnetic. They're chilling. I can't stop staring at her AirPods stuck to her top of our screen. I thought they were floating there.
Starting point is 01:01:39 Wow. There's not tape. It's just like they come off and they go back on. Amazing. Good one. Ray. Yeah, I always use aluminum foil to cover old food that we, you know, leftovers and put it in the fridge. Well, we always just take out the aluminum foil from the box because it falls out.
Starting point is 01:01:52 Well, apparently there's knobs in the box that holds the foil in place. You know how every time you go to pull out a piece of aluminum foil, the whole tube comes out? Well, there's these little tabs on either side of the box. You just push those in and it holds the tube in place. Oh. Trying that today. Pop. Did I know that?
Starting point is 01:02:08 I think so, too. Yeah, yeah. The side lids, yeah. Ray's like, I brought this in. Did you know there are two pedals below your feet when you're driving a car? One of them stops the car. What? There's definitely people that don't know that right.
Starting point is 01:02:21 I know, I'm just kidding. I just making a joke, Amy. Okay. I just had a little jokey joke, you know. Not bad for them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, we were pretty rough on you guys second round. Yeah, you guys didn't really like that.
Starting point is 01:02:29 Yeah, I apologize for that. I think I just got offended because I felt like crazy raves being challenged. And my boy, Brew, who kind of originated that bit was being challenged. But I apologize. Yeah, man, I mean, geez, I just thought it's funny. It is. It's hilarious. All right, that is TikTok.
Starting point is 01:02:44 Show and tell. You want the news? You can't handle the news. Let's do the news. Bodies. A Rhode Island woman who faked being a cancer-stricken Marine veteran and raked in over a quarter million dollars his sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to a scam.
Starting point is 01:03:07 So, boy, she had all the spots. Cancer, military. I guess you couldn't fake being a kid. She can't be a kid in the military. But she almost had all those that people want to do even individually. A con artist who made over $250,000 worth of donations after lying about being cancer-stricken and into the Marine Corps has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison.
Starting point is 01:03:29 Sarah Jane Kavanaugh claimed to have served in Iraq in Afghanistan, 29, 2016, and apparently she developed blood cancer due to her exposure to burn pits. She was so committed to her act, she wore medals that she had bought online, attended veterans events, and even asked peers at the gym to tie her shoelaces after she clans. claimed that war-related injuries to her fingers left her unable to tie them herself. What? The Rhode Island native accepted more than $225,000 from the Wounded Warrior Project alone
Starting point is 01:03:58 to pay for yoga classes, gym memberships, groceries, and physical therapy. On Tuesday, she was jailed for six years and ordered to repay all the money after pleading guilty to aggravated identity theft, forged military discharge certificates, fraudulent use of military medals, and four counts of wire fraud. Wow. veterans groups welcome the sentencing as they accuse the 32 year old of exploiting the quote kindness and respect
Starting point is 01:04:21 shown to our nation's deserving veterans yeah that end people with cancer how do you live with yourself I don't think that was an issue for her and I wonder if you're so committed to this that you actually start to feel it a little bit you know if you tell a lie for so long you start to believe it
Starting point is 01:04:38 well maybe not even believe it but outwardly but like subconscious your fingers do start to hurt you start because you're doing it all the time But that is a bad person. That's a bad person. That's from the Daily Mail. Six years seems light, I'll be honest with you.
Starting point is 01:04:52 And you know she ain't paying that money back. Yeah, how's she going to pay it back? Exactly. Because if she had the money, she'd have not done all that. Meta, who is the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, they are now rolling out the verified subscription. If you want to pay for it, you can get your own blue check mark. There you go.
Starting point is 01:05:10 Starting today, basically. 12 bucks a month. You can be Facebook. Is it the blue checkmark or the black one? I've seen a black one. What's that black one? Those who sign up get a verified badge, impersonation protection, and direct access to customer support. Well, I have a blue checkmark, but I don't have access to customer support. Have you tried?
Starting point is 01:05:33 Yeah. That would be cool. Sometimes always, I need support on that app all the time. That is from CBS News. You know, I don't know the blue versus black. I see on Twitter there's a different sort of color checkmark for businesses. Oh, maybe that's what I've seen. But I don't know.
Starting point is 01:05:48 I would just think it's a blue check mark, but everybody here who complains. But you have one now, Eddie. I got one now. Lunchbox has one. Yeah, I've been having one. The problem with Eddie was that his name was just Eddie. I just put my name as Eddie, no last name,
Starting point is 01:06:00 so they couldn't verify that I was a real person. That was a problem the whole time. So dumb. Oh, that's just a simple fix. Yeah. Tiga bought Aver Levine an $80,000 custom diamond chain from TMZ. Aver Levine, I saw our walking hood up, big chain. on her neck. It said Averill is pretty cool.
Starting point is 01:06:17 And then Tyga, who she's dating now, was walking with her. And it was like 80 grand. I just can't imagine buying somebody 80 grand anything. Oh my goodness. Plus, you were rich and it was your wife. And then it's out here in the news. Like, I'd be like, just getting it's fake. It's fake. Well, there's security with them all times.
Starting point is 01:06:34 Oh, okay. Yeah, and if you're wearing something that big, there's no way you're going to hide. If you get something, you're going to wear it. Yeah, you can't not wear it. And you also know it's going to be famous and expensive. and all the fancy things of Adderall's wearing it. My mother-in-law always said,
Starting point is 01:06:50 hey, rich people, they have the luxury of buying big fake things and people just believing it's real because they're rich. She's, I don't know why. Rich people don't buy all kind of fake stuff. That's funny. She said, you can buy something massive. If you're rich, you buy something massive that's completely fake. And we'll all just go, well, they're rich.
Starting point is 01:07:04 They got it. And I was like, that's a good point. So, there you go. Lessons from the mother-in-law right there. Oh, let's see, Avatar 3. It'll be nine hours. They'll have a nine-hour cut. They literally will have a nine-hour cut of Avatar 3.
Starting point is 01:07:17 Now, Avatar 2 is the one that just came out, though. A nine-hour cut of Avatar 3 will air as a series on Disney Plus after the theatrical version runs in theaters. So Mike D, who has Movie Mike's movie podcast, you're telling me that they made a nine-hour movie. Yeah. Had to edit it down. Yeah. In the theater, we're going to watch the three-hour. Probably three, maybe even three and a half.
Starting point is 01:07:41 But you'll be able to watch all of the nine, even the cutout stuff on Disney. Plus. Yeah, it's actually pretty good that way. They did that with the Justice League movie. They released a four-hour cut, and I really liked it better than the original movie. Does it bother you the stuff that you're not seeing in the theater? It's stuff they didn't think was good enough to be in the theater. Yeah, because you get a lot more of the story. It's better. It's like watching a full
Starting point is 01:07:59 series. So he's not bothered by it. No, but he loves everything in a movie. Yeah. He loves everything. And Avatar. He loves everything in Avatar, too. Thank you, Mike. Mouth breathing is a serious issue. Experts say to stop breathing through your mouth and start taking air in through your nose. Well, it's not that easy.
Starting point is 01:08:15 Do you know why? No. Why? Mouth breathing can mess up your oxygen and carbon dioxide balance. It has been linked to sleep apnea at night. By breathing through your nose, you get cleaner air because your nose hair strips pull out allergens, pollutants. Maybe we shouldn't trim our nose hair. Maybe we should let them hang all the way down just to live a healthier life.
Starting point is 01:08:34 It's like a filter. The mouth does not have a filter system. That's right. The nose does. That's from women's health. Flucombs and Nicole are expecting baby number two. We saw that. He posted on Instagram.
Starting point is 01:08:45 Yesterday, joining the two under two club Baby Boy Number Two coming this September. So congratulations to them. Sharing a bed with pets may disrupt sleep. Yeah, no crap. My, Dusty, my old dog, he slept in the bed with me. I don't know, once a week, he'd just kick me right in the nads. Because he would like to get up and be right on my hip. He'd have nightmares, just came, boom, right in the nads.
Starting point is 01:09:05 And I remember going, oh, and I'd wake out like this. Oh, and I'd go back to sleep. But I don't know. I would just be startled. It would hurt, and I would just go right back to sleep. But yeah, if your bedtime routine includes, you know, snuggling up with your Boston Terrier or your lab or your, yeah. I sleep with my cat now and it's awesome, but she wakes me up. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:26 Cat's still probably a little easier than dogs, don't you think? He's a little lighter, fluffier. Yeah, like a pillow. All of a sudden you're like, why is my pillow moving with your cat? Like, let me out of here. We can't keep Stanley our bulldog anywhere near our room because he snores so loud. It pierces walls. And people stay at our house.
Starting point is 01:09:42 We have to put him in a whole different room on the far side of the house. Aside from the room he stays, like the living room that he stays in or the bedroom. He snores so loud. What are the most relaxing hobbies, they ask? Knitting is the most calming hobby. If your hobby is knitting, though, you need to be over 75. Or have an eye for art where you're, like, creating something. Because that didn't seem like a hobby.
Starting point is 01:10:05 That seems like something you do so you don't go and stab people. I have really cool friends that do cross-stitch. I think we need to re-examine the word cool. really cool too. They are. Listen, from somebody not cool, you know. I'm just saying I see them as cool and I thought, man, if they can do it, I should try. Fishing.
Starting point is 01:10:22 Number two. Blogging. That always got me in trouble. I'll be honest with you. I wasn't so much. Yeah, I just like, here's my thoughts for the day. Put it on the internet send. Oh, controversy.
Starting point is 01:10:31 That's from DIYs.com. And finally, the most stressful careers. Number one, surgeons. Well, yeah. I get that. That's life or death. That's exactly what they say. Every single day, life or death.
Starting point is 01:10:45 You know, surgeons are like anybody else. You can have any job, and all of a sudden it's just another day, right? You think when you're going into surgery, they've been studying all night. They're getting hyped about it. They're dialed in. And they probably are doing their job. But if they do it every day, it doesn't matter what you do every day. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:03 You go and it starts to be a part of your life, your daily life. Like this show, I would imagine most people who have never been on radio or TV on a national scale. would come in and be nervous. To us, it's just another day. We work hard at it, but some days are better than others, and it's, all right, well, worked over for the day, you know? You just blew my mind. That means, like, some days we come in here and like, oh, man, I got a hangover.
Starting point is 01:11:24 Some surgeons go in. They're like, oh, I got a hangover. I didn't say that, but. But 100%, you go to where you want to go on your own head. Oh, dang. The two people that I want to be dialed in are surgeons and pilots. Yeah, but he just said they're normal people. I know they're normal, but they, I'd rather not know that.
Starting point is 01:11:39 And they have crap going on in their lives. Right. Like, we do? Oh, man. I mean, my old roommate was a firefighter, and trust me, he'd go in hungover. Firefighter's probably a little easier to be hung over than a surgeon where things have to be super precise. Yes, and you have to think the whole time. Oh, but.
Starting point is 01:11:55 And every day you're doing that. Firefighters, they have days. Sometimes they go on hungover and they're going to be hungover. They're like, they go home and sleep, or there's time they get the, woo, call. And it's like, uh-oh. Police officers are next, firefighters, because there's never a minor house fire. Everybody's always frantic. Social workers, and then parents.
Starting point is 01:12:11 medics at number five. Wow. That's from the U.S. World News & Report. That is your news. Those were Bobby's big. Stories. So they're married.
Starting point is 01:12:21 They win the lottery. Well, I say they. She won the lottery and didn't tell them. And then she ran off and married somebody else. Oh, no. This is terrible. A 47-year-old scorned man recently hired a lawyer to help him,
Starting point is 01:12:37 well, get some of that money. His wife of 20 years left him to marry another man after winning the lottery. The man claims the ex-wife, who he has three daughters, took advantage of the fact he was working in order to support the family and broke it off with them over the phone without an explanation. Wait, didn't you need like a legal? Like a lawyers, like a law explanation.
Starting point is 01:12:58 So he returned home at the beginning of the month because he was working on the road. And he's like, hey, you can't do this. But she had already married someone else. But I don't understand. There's some legal stuff here. He claims that he only learned about his wife's lottery, went from his daughters who told him she had won around $12 million. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:13:16 So get this. Unfortunately, does not have a marriage certificate because they were common law married in their mind. Oh, no. No. Not married. But the lawyer insisted he is still entitled to half the lottery prize as relatives and members of their respective families can confirm their long-term relationship. His ex-wife, on the other hand, filed a complaint against her ex-husband on grounds of defamation,
Starting point is 01:13:40 claiming that he is lying in order to get his hands on some of that money. the woman told police that it was actually that he broke up with her and now he's only claiming it because she won the lottery. Great. She insists all of her neighbors knew they split. So you got family on one side saying, no, I insist. You got neighbors on the other saying, I insist. I don't know who to believe here.
Starting point is 01:13:58 After going viral, the cases being investigated by police and other authorities to determine whether the lawsuit is justified. This is what I'd say to her. If I were advising her, even if she's telling the truth that he did break it off. If that breakoff was, I don't know, the last six months, he still probably has a good argument that you can't prove either way. I wouldn't split it with him. Let's say they won 12 million bucks.
Starting point is 01:14:26 She's going to get seven of that. I'd give them $2 million to say shut up and go away. You have five. You're kind of hedging your bet. You're still won. You're not going to lose half of it. There's a good shot you're going to have to give up some anyway. I'd probably settle and give them $2 million.
Starting point is 01:14:42 I would take it. I would take the $2 million. Is you and I are married? Yeah, I'll take it. Amen, have a good life with your new boyfriend. And then you avoid all the legal fees. Oh, yeah? Yeah, and it's tax-free.
Starting point is 01:14:52 Amy jumps right in when... Oh, okay. It's extensive. Yeah, I hear you. But yeah, that's... I don't believe the dude anymore. No, I believe him. No, at first, because the headline is that she married someone else.
Starting point is 01:15:06 But if they were common-law married, dudes are just liars and slimy. But the way she ran off and married another dude real quick. Real quick. No, no, no, no, we don't know that. That's his version of this. Again, there are always three versions of every story. His side, her side, and the real side. You know who knows the real story? The daughters.
Starting point is 01:15:23 Maybe not even, though. No, they don't know. Depends how old they are. If they're like 11 or older, they know a little more the real stuff. Dang. That's a reality show. We need to follow that. That's good. So there's this show called Last of Us, and basically it's like a fungus, like a, and it takes over. and eventually the fungus like turns us into zombies. It's an amazing show.
Starting point is 01:15:45 It's my favorite show of the last year. Zombies that look like fungus. It's so gross. Oh, really? So anyway, there's a deadly fungal infection spreading at an alarming rate. No. Nothing to see here.
Starting point is 01:15:54 This is real life now? This is from the CDC, yeah. Oh my gosh. A drug resistant, potentially deadly fungus has been spreading rapidly through the U.S. healthcare facilities. This is not China. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 01:16:05 This is not Singapore or Mexico. It's right here. The fungus, a type of yeast, called Candida Aris can cost severe illness and people with weakened immune systems. The number of people diagnosed with affections, as well as the number of those who are found through screening, has been
Starting point is 01:16:21 rising at an alarming rate. That's from NBC News. Oh my gosh, this is basically that show. It is that show. It's what is based on, true story. And then somebody can fix this, but you've got to get them across the land? Well, the whole, well, sort of. So the whole show is, there's a girl,
Starting point is 01:16:37 and I'm not spoiling anything. There's a girl, and she was bit by a zombie. But mostly when you get bit by a zombie, you turn into one. Yeah, yeah. But for some reason, even though she was bit, and you can see she's bit, she never turned. And so they're trying to figure out what's in her that's different than everybody else, but they got to get her to some clinics wherever they are. So that's what's up. Okay. And I think I'm the one that's, you need to get me to a clinic. You're the one that anti-fungus? I think so. Save me at all costs. I'm just going to lie about it. So you guys save me, save me at all costs. It's also Eddie's
Starting point is 01:17:09 birthday today. Come on. Yeah. Listen, this is a very expensive time for me between, just March in general, between Amy's birthday and Eddie's birthday and get other birthdays coming up. It's a very expensive time for me. Well, thank you, man. Yeah, I'm making this about me for a second.
Starting point is 01:17:24 I'm just kidding. Happy birthday, Eddie. So what's happening today? 44 years old today, oh, man, I woke up. My back was hurting. I just kind of fell old, you know? Like, I don't know. I mean, you feel that yesterday, too?
Starting point is 01:17:34 I did, I did. But it's more of it's my birthday. I feel it. What would you guys do for your birthday? Not much. You know, I'm going to work. We're going to work out today. It's a normal day.
Starting point is 01:17:43 Then probably go out to eat with the family. And cancel out the workout? Well, probably. I'm going to eat semi-healthy. So when I was a kid and it was our birthday, we would go to habachi. You know, like, and that was our thing. So I told my wife, let's do habachi. Who just went to habachi for the first time ever?
Starting point is 01:17:55 Ray. Yeah! Ray came in like a seven-year-old. You've got to do it, man. It's awesome. Yeah, and I, like, felt his excitement again from the first time. I think I went with like our youth group at church. We didn't have habachi near us.
Starting point is 01:18:07 We drove the Little Rock. Mountain Pine Baptist drove to Lunarark. We all got in a van. That's big time. Yeah. And I remember that excitement, like, I can't believe he's lifted on fire. He built a tunnel with onions. He flipped a shrimp into the hat.
Starting point is 01:18:18 I'm telling, today I'm going to catch that shrimp with my mouth. Ray, what did you think about it? I mean, I went to Nink. He was right next to me, and I don't know if they tried to do big stuff with the fire, but I thought a couple times they're going to light the place on fire. Because it went, boosh. Yeah. And then.
Starting point is 01:18:31 Did you clap for them? All the time, yeah. And then there was a birthday behind us. They seemed to be having more fun. They had bigger flames. they had more shrimps flying in the air, egg dropping onto the plate. That's what I'm talking about. How are you comparing?
Starting point is 01:18:42 Comparison's Stefa Joy, bro. Right, but it was just me and my wife just chilling there, and it just seemed a little bit more low-key than theirs. They had stuff all over the place. Oh, yeah. So Eddie needs to for sure say it's my birthday. It's my birthday. That way I get all that stuff.
Starting point is 01:18:53 Yeah. I want bigger fire. More eggs. You're 44. Yeah, still, though, dude. You just need a little fire and only a couple eggs because your cholesterol can be high. That's true. You know?
Starting point is 01:19:02 Well, happy birthday, buddy. Thank you, man. Appreciate it. Amy, we talked about your birthday yesterday. Oh yeah, no, I'm good. Yeah, just making sure everybody feels of love. My birthday is last Saturday. And then you go, yes, we have our birthdays, but yours is in like two weeks.
Starting point is 01:19:13 Oh, my gosh. And it's impossible to buy stuff for you. Why I'm looking forward to it is I've been on this Jesus diet, whole 30, which I can only eat things that he could eat back in the day. The Lord's food. Yeah, whatever. And so, except bread, no Ezekiel bread, can't eat bread. No Ezekiel bread?
Starting point is 01:19:26 No, even though Jesus made that. Not even? Wow. So I'm happy about that because I get to eat sugar again. And they say just after you do this diet, I've been eating more food than I would eat normally and I haven't even lost any weight. So diet's a weird word to say, but it's just a new way of eating. So my digestion, we kind of figure out what's wrong with it.
Starting point is 01:19:43 They say don't go right back to eating sugar or don't go like slowly wade yourself back into the water. I mean, a full cake. The whole thing? Yeah. I'm going in. What is your favorite flavor? Cake. Oh.
Starting point is 01:19:54 You like sugar? Do you like cheesecake? Cheesecake. I like cheesecake. I don't like peanut butter. I hate peanut butter. Right. Other than peanut butter or onion or lima bean.
Starting point is 01:20:03 Well, we wouldn't put onion in your cake. Wouldn't put Limer Bean either. You never know with you guys. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions,

Starting point is 01:22:09 Yeah. This is my best friend Janet. Hey. And we have been joined at the hips since high school. Absolutely. Now a redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip. Just a little bit bigger hips, wider. This is a podcast.
Starting point is 01:22:20 We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey. With all the snacks and drinks. Sidebar. Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer? Oh, they had a bogo. Well, then you got it. Do you want a white collar something here? Just take it.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Oh, what are y'all doing? Microphones? Are you making a rap album? Oh, I would. Come on. I would buy it. Cuts through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake. That sounds delicious.
Starting point is 01:22:48 Oh, you're lucky. I'm not a drug addict. You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic. You are. You are. You're lucky I'm not a killer. I love this team, and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on. Oh.
Starting point is 01:22:59 Oh. Oh. Oh. Listen to Soccer Moms on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There was a copyright infringement case where these guys like, hey, I have this song, and I feel like this song was ripped off. And the song that ripped me off was a massive song, and it made a lot of money, and I want some of that money. So I want to play you guys.
Starting point is 01:23:20 Here is Snowblind Revival, and the song is called Rockstar. Ray, would you hit me with that clip? Gonna be rock star someday. Okay, what song do you think that is? Rockstar Nickelback What'd you think? Gotta have faith
Starting point is 01:23:36 I heard that too That's from the 80s Yeah that's not too old But I didn't know how I don't know how old this song is It's not younger than faith I don't know I would think this is
Starting point is 01:23:45 Listening to the recording It's not that old Right Yeah but I don't know when faith Gotta have faith Faith faith Like the beat at the beginning I don't even call the beat rhythm
Starting point is 01:23:56 The rhythm of the guitar It's the guitar At the beginning it sounds like faith Played again Gonna be you right So you say Nickelback Rockstar. Sure. Don't know who is by.
Starting point is 01:24:14 Limp biscuit. I knew that one. And you say... Those are the two I have, but I go with Rockstar based on the title. So he sued Nickelback. So the question is, do you think he won? Now, I'm going to play a little more of this song here. Nickelback, Rockstar.
Starting point is 01:24:30 Go ahead. Here is Snowblind Revival Rockstar. Gonna be a rock star someday. Not even close. So in the suit, substantial portions of his song, this is what he alleged, we're stolen, including tempo, song form, melodic structure, harmonic structure, and lyrical themes.
Starting point is 01:24:53 Now, still, do you feel like that song was stolen? No. None. Do you think he gets any money at all? Because he could also just be added as a writer on the song. There are different things that can happen here. Any money go to Snowblind Revival? No.
Starting point is 01:25:05 No. No, zero chance. No money. No, and if he does get money, then I want George Michael to sue him for faith. What? But he didn't make any money. Oh, yeah. Yeah, no, he got nothing. The judge is like an idiot.
Starting point is 01:25:17 Yeah, you're done. Stop that. Yeah. What's up, Ray? So they both had a sports reference in the song, which is also in the suit. What was the sports reference? And the one it mentioned the Cowboys and the other one it mentioned a baseball stadium or something. Yeah, that's really stretching here.
Starting point is 01:25:32 And that's the first time I've ever heard the line in, uh, The rock star one, the, what is it? Because we all just want to be big rock stars, man. And he says, we'll stay skinny because we just won't eat. Yeah. Why is that a lot? They're probably doing like cocaine. Stay up all night, Amy.
Starting point is 01:25:50 Yeah, dang. I just go hard. Have you ever been a rock star? Have any of the raging idiots concerts? Yeah, that's how we do it. You go to bed immediately after the show. You need our rest. Ray, play the sports clubs.
Starting point is 01:26:00 Play the one from Snowblind Revival. Play the other one? No, got to stop it. They just mentioned sports. It's so dumb. Listen, if I were the guy that wrote this song Rockstar and it had some, I'd probably think they heard it and stole it too. You'd give it a shot.
Starting point is 01:26:27 You would try to sue? I'd probably DM them. It's a little DM for a little cash. 50 grand, I'll shut up. I mean, y'all've had this, speaking of raging idiots, you've had this controversy before. We did a song called Can't Say That in a country song. And then, like, Toby Keith and.
Starting point is 01:26:43 I don't want to relive this one. I know. And they put out some very similar, and I thought we were going to have to get into a barbroll. Yep. But since I thought that, I didn't want to, so I just gave up. It's like, we're not suing, we don't get beat up. What? But nobody heard anything, right?
Starting point is 01:26:53 It's just coincidence. I agree. That happens all the time. Yeah. People have, it's like joke stealing. And there's a reason if I'm going to go and start trying to write new stuff that I don't watch anything, because I don't want to even accidentally have something subconsciously that I remember and go, that's a great joke.
Starting point is 01:27:09 And then I don't try to save it, but I get on, think about the topic. And I'm like, oh, you know, it would be funny. Or sometimes like-minded people think like-minded things and write like-minded joke. or stories or songs as well. So good for this judge. No money. No money for that. Yeah, that's good. Although I'm a fan. Snowblind revival. Snowblind revival. Not bad.
Starting point is 01:27:27 Hey, they still touring? Doesn't sound like he has much of a production budget. Gonna be a rock star someday. I don't hate it, though. I have a jam. I mean, his voice is kind of raspy too. I like to, hey, money. Hey, hey, that snowblown.
Starting point is 01:27:43 It has 98,000 views on YouTube and 107 likes. Is it one or is it a band? Looks like a band from that picture. Looks like a band. What year? What decade? 2000s? They turned off comments now.
Starting point is 01:27:57 Yeah, I think it's like... Are all the Nickelback fans coming over to beat them up? Probably. 2018 is when they put that October 4th, 2018. They put that video up. Gonna be a rockster. Oh, and they put up a video, lawyer up, nickel back. Oh.
Starting point is 01:28:11 Well, they're fighting now. Hey, even that it didn't work, we're talking about them on a national show. Where do they live? I'd bring them in. Oh, that'd be a lot. I'd bring them in to play. Are you serious? Where do they live?
Starting point is 01:28:20 Let me find them. Just DM them. Record label is Snowblind Revival. So they have their own record label because no one will sign them. Yeah, go ahead. Where are you guys from? Wait, so what would you tell Chad? Type in where is Snowblind Revival from and then it'll say who is Snowblind Revival?
Starting point is 01:28:37 I ain't done even saying. Nothing. What'd say? I said, where are you guys from and says nothing. Like, what would you tell Chad if you had them up here? Chad, who? Kroger Kroger Kroger
Starting point is 01:28:48 Kroger Kroger What would I tell him something I don't know We just had him up here But Chad was up here I know he's probably annoyed
Starting point is 01:28:54 Like you're gonna have somebody up here that just caused me a lawsuit Yeah trim It's funny What I'm gonna do? That's what I'm gonna do I'm not the cousin
Starting point is 01:29:01 Like he's so Just because we had Chad here We're not allowed to have these people here Is that how the world works Eddie's been a nickelback hater's whole life And I forget What's the right way Kroger
Starting point is 01:29:09 Kruger Kruger Yeah Chad Kruger Okay thank you guys That was By the way Speaking of the Dallas Cowboys Eddie got a candle from Amy for his birthday.
Starting point is 01:29:16 I love it. It's called A Smells Like a Cowboys Wind Candle. It smells actually good. Okay, I haven't already made that joke. Snow Blind Revival is a rock group from Texas. Well, if you guys are listening, we like to have you on the show to do your hit rock star and let us be the judge of that. Dude's taking his kids to school right now. Wait a second. Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:29:38 Story of the day. This story comes us from Westbury, New York. Three men walked into a tour. Target, went shopping, looking for some things, got a couple of car seats, put them in the shopping cart. And then they headed to the customer service and said, we'd like to return these. Does that work? And they were like, you haven't even bought them yet? There's no way it's not even in the system.
Starting point is 01:30:00 You haven't paid? No, no, we bought them. We're just bringing them back. We have you on the footage just putting them in the cart. So then they ran out of the store with them. Police were called. So then they tried to steal them. But they didn't want them to begin with.
Starting point is 01:30:10 They were just returning them. So then they tried to. So what did they had done if they got away? brought them back again. Maybe go to a different target maybe? Yeah, I guess some people just aren't thinking and they're in the mode of I just need money quick. Like it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 01:30:24 I just got to do something. But also, maybe that's work before too. No, what you can do? Oh, no, no, no, no. Turn the radios down, everybody. What I did in college is my alarm clock didn't go off one time for a test. And so I slammed it on the ground and it broke. So I went to, I'm not going to say, which store
Starting point is 01:30:41 and bought the exact same alarm clock? I'm sure alarm clock statute. is not still in effect here, but go ahead. And went home, put the broken one back in the box, took it back, got my money back, and I had a new alarm clock. Boom. But it seems like you're proud of that. I mean, that was a great move.
Starting point is 01:30:57 But it was illegal. It wasn't illegal. I didn't it? No, no, it was illegal. Just because you didn't get caught, it doesn't mean it's not illegal. What was illegal about it? It was broken. I said this one is broken. That would be fraud. Oh. All right.
Starting point is 01:31:08 And fraud is illegal? Yeah. From what I heard, last time I checked the law. Right, right. But yeah, man. Yeah, man. Still like you're proud of it. I thought it was a pretty quick thinking on my feet.
Starting point is 01:31:19 And so did they when they put things in the cart going. I bet we didn't get a refund for this. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. There is a new Bobbycast this week. It's actually up today with Sonny Sweeney. She started playing around Texas, gained a big following, signed a record deal with Big Machine back in 2007.
Starting point is 01:31:36 And she talks about that story, how a CD randomly ended up on Scott Borchetta's desk. And she don't know how I got there, but she got a call is a whole thing. It's a really cool story. But then she talked about getting dropped from her label just a few years later. I remember I had already put three songs out.
Starting point is 01:31:52 I knew it wasn't doing what they wanted it to do. And Scott came backstage. Oh, my God. This was the greatest show I've ever seen of You Play. We're going to put another single out. And I said, really? And I kind of felt that they weren't feeling it anymore. And so when he said that, it kind of gave me a second burst of energy
Starting point is 01:32:09 where I was like, wow, maybe this is going to work. And I got really excited about it, and then he didn't ever do it. And I asked about it, and he's like, yeah, we decided not to. Then two months later, he drops me. So she was telling that story, and that's showbiz. That's a record business. That's a media business. That's all of it.
Starting point is 01:32:27 I mean, I may have to be dropped tomorrow. Let us know that happened. Yeah, well, you'll know right after I know. We're dropped. Yes. So, but, you know, she's big on, you know, show me a sign. And there were a couple in this podcast. But one was, she was like, I don't know, am I going to quit music?
