Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. On paper, the three hosts of the Nick Dick and Poll show are geniuses. We can explain how AI works, data centers, but there are certain things that we don't necessarily understand. Better version of Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes. Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time.
Starting point is 00:00:23 I actually thought it was. I got that wrong. But hey, no one's perfect. We're pretty close, though. Listen to the Nick Dick and Poll show on the iPod. IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, I'm Bob Pittman, chairman and CEO of IHeart Media, and I'm kicking off a brand new season of my podcast, Math and Magic,
Starting point is 00:00:41 stories from the Frontiers of Marketing. Math and Magic takes you behind the scenes of the biggest businesses and industries while sharing insights from the smartest minds in marketing. Coming up this seasonal math and magic, CEO of Liquid Death, Mike Cesario. People think that creative ideas are like these light bulb moments that happen when you're in the shower. Where it's really like a stone sculpture. You're constantly just chipping away and refining.
Starting point is 00:01:05 Take to Interactive CEO, Strauss Selnick, and our own chief business officer, Lisa Coffey. Listen to Math and Magic on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become
Starting point is 00:01:24 when life makes other plans. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long, the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. Listen to a slight change of plans on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Welcome to Tuesday show. Morning studio. Morning. Let's go around the room and check in with everybody. He's helping me build a pickleball court. And when it comes to watching games, Dallas Cowboys and football, all his favorite sport. It's producer ready. Guys, I got an interesting follow on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:02:21 I saw it come up and I was like, whoa, checkmark. Cool. Someone famous. And then I look at the name. I'm like, there's no way. This guy's dead. I thought it was Roy Orbison. You know Roy Orbison.
Starting point is 00:02:32 Yeah. It's Roy Orbison's son. He's followed me in unlawful. follow me a bunch of times. Oh, really? Which I think people do that so they can be seen to be following you, but I don't know what he does. He's famous?
Starting point is 00:02:44 Well, I don't know. His dad was, though. His dad was super famous, but then it saw that he's like an author, and, dude, I'm thinking, man, you can get him on the bobby cast and him tell all stories about his dad. I think it'd be pretty cool. I wonder what he does. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:57 I think he lives in town, though, and Amy, he follows you, too. Okay. I think he probably follows all of us. I don't know if he's a fan or if he's trying to, like, get something. Oh, no, man. But you freaked out because Roy Orberson. I love Roy Orbison. Roy Orbison, to me, had the best voice in rock and roll of that time.
Starting point is 00:03:11 I like the glasses. And his hair cut. That's pretty good one. What else did he sing? Only the lonely. Only the lonely. Yeah. That was a good one.
Starting point is 00:03:23 All right, well. I don't know. Hey, let me know. I can DM him if you one on the show. I think I'm good, though. I appreciate that. When it comes to soccer, he's a big fan, and you can ask him about his childhood. He'll tell you, Palmer Lane in Austin, Texas is where it all began.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Here's lunch ball. Yeah, I saw a clip of a lady getting dragged off an airplane, and it looks like she's, I mean, sounds like she's having an absolute meltdown. And so I was just wondering, you know, when your last meltdown was. Do you have a clip? That's like Wickewitch of the West. Like, I'm melting. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Okay. Are we comparing our meltdown to that? No, but when he just says meltdown, Amy. I'm very close. When would you say the last meltdown? The thing I'm thinking right now is it's really good that I can't recall. Oh, because you melt down a lot. good that you don't have an instant one. I have had. I don't have a recent one, which is really,
Starting point is 00:04:31 really good. What's recent in your mind mean? Like, I can't even think of one. So that's like great. Because like one, you know, I mean, I've shared some of the other ones. I feel like sometimes I've talked about how I've screened and gone to my closet and had like meltdowns and whatnot. But it's been so long. Good for you. Eddie? Do you have any, any breaking stuff? I mean, no, I did break a broom once. That was a big deal. And then one time I squished my hamburger because I was so mad. Like you slammed it?
Starting point is 00:05:03 Yeah, like I was trying to eat and the kids were making me mad or something. I just grabbed my burger and like, oh, I switched it. It was awesome, dude. You didn't throw it at them. You just squished it. And then I was like, great, I can't eat my hamburger anymore. I had a minor meltdown over last week. But I made a mistake.
Starting point is 00:05:18 So I had hurt my shoulder pretty bad, which I mentioned yesterday. I got a couple minor tears in it. And so I didn't know. at the time. And so I have these ibuprofen like extra strength ibuprofen at the house. So my doctor said take one. But they're like prescription ibuprofen.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Nice. It's like you take two ad bulls. Okay. It's literally the same thing. I think they're a little better than that. Hey man. It's literally 800 milligrams and if you take like three ad bill's the same exact thing. Right. Because I was like hey what if I'm out and it goes just take three adbil. Okay. And so, but I go and it's
Starting point is 00:05:51 nighttime and I go and I take one of these ibuprofen because my shoulders just throbbing so bad. And I wake up and I'm feeling, like I'm feeling so weird because of it. It turns out the last time I had to go to the dentist for a broken tooth. In case my tooth hurt, my doctor had given me one of those hydrocodone pills. Also big thick and white, when I took the pill, I took it in the dark. So I took the hydrocodone pill. Not really.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I don't even like to take that stuff. It makes somebody feel good. And so I wake up and I'm like, oh, my shoulder's hurting so bad. And I'm like, my arm's never going to feel good again. She's like, what's wrong with you? Look, it just hurts. I took Ivy Prophine and I feel funny. And she's like, well, are you sure?
Starting point is 00:06:28 That's what you, and I went and looked. And I was like, no, I took out your Godger God. And the whole day I was messed up. So did you break something? Do you squeeze it? That's your meltdown? I meltdown. That's it.
Starting point is 00:06:37 That's your meltdown. Come on, man. That's free school. I was just saying what came in my mind. It's nothing. I took the wrong medicine. Yeah. Did you scream, squish something or throw something or break something?
Starting point is 00:06:48 No, no, no. No, no. No, no. I said, I'm never going to my arms, never going to work again. The pool would be, did you walk into your pool with all of your clothes on? I didn't do any of that. I know you did that at one point, but no, I didn't do that. That was a lot.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Lunchbox, do you have any meltdowns? Yeah, co-ed soccer last week. We were down one-nothing and Charlie had the ball in the box and the goalie took him out. And the ref called a penalty, but he said it was an indirect kick. And I'm like, no, no, no, if he took him out, it has to be a penalty kick. And I said, if you're going to be out here and not make the right call, why don't you just stay the blank home? Whoa. I got a car.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Well, also, it's like when he was fighting about the game. Connect 4 or whatever and melted down over there. We don't need to bring that out. Any time he gets into any competition. Oh, he's melting right now. He's melting. I melt down over Connect 4 or did someone else melt down over Connect 4? Well, you did because you got all mean and yelling.
Starting point is 00:07:32 I'm pretty sure I won and someone else melted down. Did I melt him? No. Okay. Were you telling him he's melting right now? Well, I just think that we need to move on. Okay, moving on. She sits to the left of me on this show, and if you want to listen to her Four Things podcast,
Starting point is 00:07:46 the IHart Radio app is where you should go. It's Amy! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I guess it was a week. or two ago, I don't even know. You said some story about, like, you should compliment people's butts or pat him on the butt. No, no, no. What the story was is you shouldn't compliment people's at work physical appearance.
Starting point is 00:08:08 And we were like, well, that's weird because I would like it. Like, if I come in and my hair looks good or if, like, I've been working out and you're like, hey, man, look strong. And then the thing was, who do you say your butt looks good to? It was like there's a level of person you can say that to. Like, your girl, you can't do that at work with somebody. That's what it was. We're talking about levels. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Well, I couldn't remember the root of it. I just know that I'm in the hall and Eddie walks by and he was like, your butt looks good. And I'm like, what? He had to be like joking from that article. Yeah, yeah. But it's like when there's been that much time. How did it feel? Weird.
Starting point is 00:08:43 I'm like, Eddie. Yeah. As soon as I said it, I shouldn't have said that. That was stupid. But you were doing it to test out the article? Well, no, what I remember was Lunchbox did a lot. fun fact where it's that one and three women like to be complimented on their butt. That's probably what
Starting point is 00:08:54 started the whole thing. Right. So I was like, so my whole plan was like, I'm going to do Amy and then I'm going to go to Morgan and then I'm going to go to Abby to see, test it. But once I did Amy's, I'm like, I'm not going to do this anymore. I'm done. What did you say to that? Wow. I mean, he just kept walking and I'm like, okay. Like in my mind, if
Starting point is 00:09:12 if it had been the same day, then okay, we all are aware of what's happening. But if you're aware, the test isn't accurate. Right. That's where my mind was. Okay. I'm glad you didn't roll on the level two and three. Yeah. I'm done with this.
Starting point is 00:09:24 It finally, it clicked on me. I'm like, oh, okay, yeah, I think he's just testing out whatever it is that we talked about with complimenting butts at work. Yeah, yeah. You shouldn't do that. Yeah, don't do that. What are the test results? What do they say? Well, Amy didn't like it.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Yeah, yeah. So there we go. Just generally, though, like, what do you think about doing it now? No, don't do it. Don't do it. Okay. All right, Ray, you're up. From Mount Pine, Arkansas.
Starting point is 00:09:42 He's on the injured reserve list. Hopefully he gets better. He's going to get pissed. Bug, bones. Oh, dang. Easy. Wow. So, quick recap, a month or so ago, we're signing basketballs.
Starting point is 00:09:53 These too much access basketballs were doing to mail them out to listeners. There was a ball signed by Larry Bird, and the same near the bunch. Eddie signs Larry Bird ball by accident. Oh, boy. We still have the ball. It's Larry Bird and Eddie. And pretty tragic. So I know from just the only part I know about the story, Morgan, is somebody had reached out.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Yeah, because her uncle worked with the Celtics, which I guess, like, Larry Bird used to play for them or something. I don't know much about it. That's correct. Yeah, yeah. Okay, so her uncle used to work for the Celtics, so she had reached out to contact she knows through him. Well, she got through to a bunch of different people, and she has a signed Larry Bird basketball coming to you, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:10:30 Wow. When? How am I to pay for it? No, she just did it because she wanted you to have it. That's very nice. If true. That's amazing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:40 And I'm off the hook now. Yeah, kind of. It's still a dumb thing to do. Hey, do not let me near that ball. So, she's just going to be that nice and just send me a Larry Burr? Yep. So she said there's two options. She'll be at the IHeart Country Festival so she can bring it there or she can send it to the studio.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Either one is an option. Probably just send it. That's risky to take it to a festival. Yeah, because then jelly roll sign of accident. You know? That's very nice. I will wait for it to pour out the emotion that I will have. Do you know if it's like too Bobby?
Starting point is 00:11:09 I mean, as far as I know, it's just signed. But she said it was for you. Yeah, I like it. When she sent the email. It can't be picking. Maybe Eddie, you write too Bobby on it. No, no, no. I'm not touching that basketball. Well, that is good news. That's so thoughtful.
Starting point is 00:11:21 That is very thoughtful. Maybe Abby or somehow we could, this isn't hard. You could send like a prepaid shipping label, so she's not having to pay for the shipping. I know. I don't know. I'm not. Just letters in the ball. You really have to do what she's going to do.
Starting point is 00:11:34 Letters in the ball. Not to send it here. I'll thank her. I'll be sure to thank her once it comes. Cool. Okay, cool. Thank you, Morgan. You're welcome.
Starting point is 00:11:43 That's nice if you to track that as well. Let's open up the mailbag You send an email And we read it all the air It's something we call Bobby's mailbag Hello Bobby Bones For the past six months I've been using my neighbor's Wi-Fi
Starting point is 00:11:58 They shared the password with me When I went to their house once I still have it That's awesome I don't know that it's awesome It's funny They haven't seem to notice It has saved me a lot of money
Starting point is 00:12:13 Last week they mentioned in passing that their internet speeds have been really slow. Should I fess up? Should I offer to chip in on the bill? Or just keep quiet? Is it really stealing if they gave me the password, signed a Wi-Fi freeloader? First of all, they gave you the password for in their home.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Right. So they didn't give it like to run wild and do an extender. They gave it. You were at their house. Hey, what's the password? Here it is. Bada-bing, bada-boom. You're on the internet.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Okay. Number two. No, you should not chip in. Because that's weird. You should just not use it. Chipping. Yeah, it's like, hey, I've been stealing your Wi-Fi for the last six months. Here's some money.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Can I throw in a couple bucks? No. Your two options are, and one's honest or one's dishonest. But your real two options are keep using it or get your own. The chipping in is odd because you're going, I've been stealing your Wi-Fi for six months. Unless you want to create a story of, hey, I'm getting your Wi-Fi sometimes to pop up. No, I don't even do that. Because that's like you can put yourself at risk.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Get your own. Yeah, get your own. Here's the deal. It's so expensive. No, no, I hear it. It really is. I hear you. But that's up to you.
Starting point is 00:13:20 They're paying that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But they're paying it for themselves too, you know? But again, it's slow. They're paying for something and not getting all they're paying for because Wi-Fi freeloader's jacking it. Free loader. Your two options are keep stealing it or stop using it and get your own. Those are your only two options.
Starting point is 00:13:38 My personal preference would be to get your own. Oh. Man, the problem would be it's a neighbor. came over and their Wi-Fi popped up like, oh. Well, it would pop up anyway. Yeah. They would never know. Guys, you understand?
Starting point is 00:13:51 They will never find out. That's not the point. What if you can murder all you want out? They can never find out. Well, you just want from borrowing Wi-Fi to murder. No, but I'm just using this analogy that it's okay to do something wrong if they never find out. Right. That was his presentation.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Let me think about that. Here's your answer. Your hit list. You. need to pay for your own Wi-Fi. Yeah. Grow up. You got a little buffer here.
Starting point is 00:14:20 You got a couple months to save up. You got free Wi-Fi for a couple months until you save up and get your own. You need to get your own Wi-Fi. And don't let them near your computer because they'll see that it automatically connects to their Wi-Fi. That's trouble. Get your own Wi-Fi. You're also putting yourself at risk if you're on their Wi-Fi and they know how to get
Starting point is 00:14:40 into their Wi-Fi and see who's been on it, what they're looking at and look at what's and looked at, because they can look at your passwords and stuff like that. Do you think that they have an idea that he may be stealing the Wi-Fi? Because why would they bring up that they have slow Wi-Fi? Because you could be over to their house and like, hey, if you're getting on, sometimes it's really slow. Like, if people come to my house, I'm like, here's the password. Sometimes down at the studio, it doesn't connect as fast.
Starting point is 00:15:02 That's just stuff you bring up. Okay. At least if you're me, nerdy. Get your own Wi-Fi, bruh. We got your email and we ran the clothes Bobby's mailbag. In Nashville. The Times Square of Nashville is called Broadway. Not the singing street in New York, but Broadway is where all the country bars are.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Lights, drunk people, urine in the sidewalks and street. It is crazy on Broadway. If you live here, you don't really go to Broadway unless you work over there. It's kind of like the strip in Vegas. Unless you work there, you really don't go unless friends are in town. Yeah, I was going to say, friends are in town. So Lunchbox still likes Broadway. It's kind of one of his things.
Starting point is 00:15:47 So he went down and he went up to random strangers who look like country stars and just ambushed them asking for a picture. Like I'm a big fan. Right. Celebrity sightings. This first guy, he looks kind of like Kenny Chesney. Yeah, he's Kitty Chesney. He's taller than Lunchbox. He also looks like a dad.
Starting point is 00:16:06 How old is he? I'm looking at a picture of him. It's not Kenny Chesney. But Lunchbox even knows it's not Kenny Chesney. But he makes the guy think that he thinks he's Kenny Chesney. Here you go. I don't mean to bother you, Mr. Chesney. But can I get a picture real quick?
Starting point is 00:16:19 Is that okay? Yeah, sure. Oh my gosh. Hey, take pictures. No, no, I just want a picture so I can show my friend. There's no one is going to believe me. I met Kenny freaking Chesney. He's not nearly as tall of him.
Starting point is 00:16:29 That is so cool, man. Hey, it's really nice to me. I really love your music. Thank you so much. Hey, thank you, man. Have a great day. He just played along. I love that.
Starting point is 00:16:39 At first, he said, well, he's not as tall. And then he was just like, yeah, come out, watch me play tonight. All right, next up is Tracy Lawrence. Tracy Lawrence Dude this is so cool man Yeah it is isn't it Man
Starting point is 00:16:53 So you're playing down here What are you doing Tracy? I'm just you know chilling Can I get a picture? I mean I won't Yeah I'm please
Starting point is 00:17:03 No no I usually charge You know like A hundred frogs And I don't want to do that Yeah I know I won't Hey can I get a Tracy Can I please get a picture? No a handshake is the best I can do
Starting point is 00:17:14 Tracy, come up. I've been a fan for years. I'm shy. I'm too shy. Tracy, please. No, you'll put it on the internet and then, you know, everybody. No, I promise I won't put it on the internet until next week. No picture.
Starting point is 00:17:29 No picture was taken. Interesting. He walked off. But he did give you a good celebrity handshake. Yeah, that's the best thing you can get is a handshake. But he never said he wasn't him. The quickest way to get rid of him was to go, I'm not Tracy Lawrence. What is it really, Tracy Lawrence?
Starting point is 00:17:43 No. No, it wasn't. I don't think he talks like that. That's not Tracy Lawrence. Lawrence. By the way, Tracy Lawrence. And you pay me in Birmingham or time march is on. Lunchbox saw Lany Wilson.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Oh, cool. Big star, Lany Wilson on Broadway. Excuse me, Lainey, Miss Wilson, can I get a picture? Like, I'm a huge fan. Can I please get a picture? No, please. I don't mean to interrupt your time with friends. I just want a picture real quick. Please. We're heading to a lunchroom. I know, but I just want to take a picture.
Starting point is 00:18:11 I'm not going to listen to your music anymore, Lainey. Wow. Why don't people just say I'm not Lainey Wilson? Right. I'm not Tracy Lawrence. Is anybody else like just thrown by lunchbox not being like, I feel like it would be like, Lainey, what up, Lany, I'm a big fan. But he's like, excuse me, Mrs. Wilson.
Starting point is 00:18:28 The guy has manners. I tell them that I don't want to, you know, I don't want to draw too much attention. A real quick picture. Respectful. Yeah, respectful. Why don't you do that in real life though? Because when you see real celebrities, you scream at this. Because the real people, I freak out.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Yeah, yeah. So you can't control that. Right, right. This is just like, they're not real people. or they're not real celebrities, so it's just kind of funny. And what's great is right after Lany walked by, some guy I go, was that really Lany Wilson? I always thought she was one of the nice ones.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Now Lany had a bad reputation. The winner of our fake celebrity, nicest celebrity contest, Kenny Chesney. Hey! Nice job, Kenny. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. This guy, Stephen Park.
Starting point is 00:19:14 He is renovating a really, really old home to turn it into a coffee shop. And in one of the walls, he found a note that was written by a 10-year-old boy. He put it there in 1932. That would mean he was born in 1922. That would mean he would be. How old? No.
Starting point is 00:19:32 I can't figure that out. Dead is your answer. Well, the thing is, he did pass away during World War II at 23 years old. So he was in Italy. He died. Well, Stephen Park, the guy that came across the note, he's also a social studies teacher, and he loves history and learning. He's like, I can't just let this note go.
Starting point is 00:19:49 I got to find family members or maybe this person, whomever. This kid's 100-year-old sister now is still alive. He reached out to her, and she came to the house. She lives just a few hours away. It's a childhood home that she grew up in. She ended up with her daughter and her granddaughter going to the house. She's 100. She's 100.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Because he'd have been like 102. Okay. That would have been the answer, if I remember the numbers correctly. Yeah. And she said just being able to spend time in her childhood home and then to have this note that her brother hid there when they were kids. She has a lot of fond memories. But, I mean, obviously, she hasn't seen him since 1945.
Starting point is 00:20:22 That's some cool memorabilia. I'd put that on my eBay. You'd buy that? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What did the notes say? Did it say at all? Yeah, uh-huh. It said, Robert Barron moved into the house when nine months old, fall 1922.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Place note here, September 6, 1932. Watch out for Hitler. It gave him, like, notes in the future. don't trust the little guy's a little mustache buy Apple stock Okay cool that is a good story The fact of the note survived What was it in?
Starting point is 00:20:51 Yeah In the wall he stuck at it I know but it's not just going to survive A piece of paper For a hundred years It's not exposed to any elements I believe so I don't know about that
Starting point is 00:21:02 Had to be in some kind of like folder or something Or plastic Anyway good story Oh you want to know the 100 year old's name Bertha Dorothy Of course All right there you go
Starting point is 00:21:11 That's what it's all about That was Tell Me Something Good I'm going to play you a real 911 call The beginning of it And then I'll give you the option And you tell me why they called 911 Okay Here we go
Starting point is 00:21:23 Why did this kid call 911 911 emergency Hi Okay, it's a young kid Here are your options Got nothing there He thought it was McDonald's and wanted a happy meal Ooh
Starting point is 00:21:35 He saw someone called 911 in a movie And wanted to try it for himself Or C he wanted to call the cops on his parents For taking away his tablet Oh, my. Yeah, can you give me a little more of that? 911 emergency. Hi.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Why did that kid call 911? My man for the win. All right. Amy? Yeah, he's very happy. I feel like he just wants a little McDonald's. Okay. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:21:55 Yeah, he doesn't sound upset. I'm going with McDonald's. Happy meal. Lunchbox? Happy kid. Happy meal. All right, here we go. Is this McDonald's?
Starting point is 00:22:05 McDonald's? No, this is the Mesa Police Department. Do you have an emergency? Can I get one? My meal. Happy Meadet. Hello, you there? He thought it was a McDonald's happy moment. Good job on the context, close of his happiness in the call. All right,
Starting point is 00:22:18 why is this woman calling 911? 911, do you need police fire the paramedics? I need a police officer. Okay, now, what do you hear in that clip? Fear. Fear, kids crying. Okay, kids, fear. Here it is one more time. 911, do you need police fire the paramedics?
Starting point is 00:22:36 I need a police officer. Okay. Did A, she want a cop to give her a back? massage. B, she wants officers to come out and teach her kids respect. You didn't hear kids in the clip. Yeah. Or C, she wants a cop to help her start her car that has a dead battery. Listen to the clip one more time. Now one, do you need a police fire the paramedics? Um, I need a police officer. Okay, I'm in. You got bag massage teaching the kids respect or a dead battery. Amy's in? I'm in for the win. I'm in. Okay. Lunchbox? You gave me two months. You were like, did you hear the kids? You said it
Starting point is 00:23:13 too much, so I went away from kids because you were trying to trick me. He's reading me like a book. Back massage. Eddie? No, there's no way it's a back massage. I'm going with dead battery. Amy? Oh, it's come teach my kids' respect.
Starting point is 00:23:25 Okay, here we go. I need a police officer. Kids. Excuse me? They're not listening to me, and they need to learn respect. You want us to come out to scare a two-year-old? Ma'am. Okay, I don't know what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:23:41 I'm going to send somebody out. Yeah. You read me too much, dude. You can't ever read me. Dang it! I'm like a language you never fully learned. Dang, dang, dang. That was too obvious though, you said it. Good job, Amy.
Starting point is 00:23:51 If you hear the kids in the background? Exactly. Exactly, Mundo. Telling me not to pick it. Number three, why this guy called 911? Okay, he has no idea where he is. It's because A, he wanted to report himself breaking into a house.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Like, it's me, I'm breaking in. Two, he wanted police to arrest a roommate of his for stealing his drugs. Listen to how he talked. play it again. Or C, he tried to stay overnight at Disney World and he got lost and needed help out of the park. What? Now he doesn't know where he is. Here you go. So is he reporting? I'd like
Starting point is 00:24:38 to report myself breaking into a house. Or I want to arrest my roommate for stealing my drugs. Or I'm lost at Disney World. I'm in for the win. I'm in. Amy? Lost at Disney? Lunchbox? He's got to be lost at Disney. Eddie? Disney's in Florida. It sounds like a Disney man. A Florida man. Give me Disney World.
Starting point is 00:25:15 That's crazy. Oh, wow. That's scary. See, I thought that'd be so crazy. I didn't guess that one. He sounded so scared. Yeah. Why did this woman call 911?
Starting point is 00:25:24 I'm panicked. Hunter, I just have kind of a ridiculous question. So she has a ridiculous question. Okay. These are good. Was it? A, she wanted to ask police if they could help her get Taylor Swift tickets because they sold out so fast and she was panicked.
Starting point is 00:25:40 B, she watched a scary movie and wanted an officer to come check out a strange noise in her closet because she was scared. or C there was a big spider in her house I'm panicked Washington coming good much Hunter I just have kind of a ridiculous question Um
Starting point is 00:25:54 Lunchbox and Eddie need to get a point to tie to go to overtime I know I know I'm in So this one I called 911 Is it Taylor tickets Scary movie
Starting point is 00:26:03 Or Big Spider Gosh All right I'm in Okay I'm in Eddie It's a ridiculous question Just watched a scary movie Noise in the closet
Starting point is 00:26:15 Yeah Okay lunchbox Yeah, see, the ridiculous question got me, but I was like, is it ridiculous to come asking him to get a big spider? Ah, maybe. Go spider. Lunchbox go spider. Here it is. One more time, the front of the call. I'm panicked. Washington got me good much. Hunter, I just have kind of a ridiculous question.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Panicked. She's freaking out. There's a spider, right? Or a sound in the closet. Or tailor tickets. Or tailor tickets. Oh, my gosh. Amy, what did you put? Taylor tickets. Well, one of you got it right. Well, no. The one that got it right It's moving on, though.
Starting point is 00:26:48 To sudden death, that's lunchbox. Yo! Oh, no! Yeah! Eddie, you've been eliminated. Stupid. So what was it? Are we going to hear the rest of it?
Starting point is 00:26:56 Here you go. I'm home alone, and there is a giant spider on the back of my couch, and I am talking giant. I have never seen the spider this big, and I have no idea what to do. What's on the back of your couch? A spider.
Starting point is 00:27:09 As ridiculous as that is, I've just spent the last 20 minutes panicking. It is so big. I don't know what to do. Like how big is like the size of a baseball or golf ball? Yeah, it's like the, it's probably the size of a baseball. It is huge. That's a big slider.
Starting point is 00:27:24 I don't know that I'm called 911, but yeah, like a tranceyla is that size of baseball. Oh. Is she sober? She's that sober? I don't know. All right, Amy Lunchbox, here we go. If you miss it, you're out. If somebody else gets it.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Why did this woman call 911? Physically, if she's the big as I am, I can't control her. Okay, that's what you get. If she's as big as I am, I can't control her. one more time. Physically, if she's the big as I am, I can't control her. She needed help controlling her 12-year-old, but doesn't expect what the dispatcher says that she should do will actually help her.
Starting point is 00:27:55 Okay? B, she needed help stopping her Great Dane from barking, and she's like, I can't control her. Or C, she took drugs and she's hallucinating that a big monster was attacking her. Here's a clip again. Physically, if she's the big as I am, I can't control her. If she's as big as I am, I can't control her. And the first one was... She needed help controlling her 12-year-old, but then she doesn't expect what she's...
Starting point is 00:28:14 what the dispatcher says will be good. I'm in for the win. Okay. So we got a 12-year-old, we got a Great Dane, and we got a monster. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:28:28 Right when you played it, my first thought was dog, and then you gave me the option of dog so I couldn't go away from it. That's what popped in my head. Give me dog. Amy? I've great Dane.
Starting point is 00:28:38 Two Great Dane's. Here's the clip. The 12-year-old is completely out of control and I can't, physically, if she's the big as I am, I can't control it. Okay, did you want us to come over to shoot her? Are you there?
Starting point is 00:28:49 Excuse me? That's a joke. Okay, that's not funny. I'm sorry. I'm going to file a formal complaint. I'm sorry. I apologize. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Hold on. Hold on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What was you thinking? The improv. Whoa, wow, wow. That was more on the 911 operator than the caller. That was good.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Wow. Why did this guy call 911? 911, speech for emergency. What you need? I'm Nate. So listen, listen, one more time. His name's Nate. What's a Nate up to?
Starting point is 00:29:21 Go ahead. 911, stay for emergency. What's your name? I'm Nate. Okay, so, what's your name? I'm Nate. Is it A, he called and tried to order pizza because he had the munchies. B, he called a report of shooting where someone died, but he's actually talking about his friend killing him and call a duty. Or C, he didn't mean to call.
Starting point is 00:29:40 That's a butt dial. And it's like, I'm Nate. But it's a little out of context. Here we go. One more time. 9-1-1-speech for emergency. What's your name? I'm Nate. Oh. So, pizza.
Starting point is 00:29:54 He's saying his name's Nate so he can order a pizza. He called a report a shooting, but it was actually talking about his friend, killing him a call of duty, or it's a butt dial. And for the win. One more time. 911, stay your emergency. I'm Nate. I'm like, what'd you think I'm Nate.
Starting point is 00:30:10 That's kind of what it sounds like. Lunchbox? Man, he sounds panic, dude. He's witnessed a murder. Got to get it on, he's been doing drugs. We witnessed a murder in a video game. Call a duty. Amy?
Starting point is 00:30:22 Butt dial. One of he's right. Yes. Okay. See, I think I hear him say slightly. Like, would you say? It's Amy. It's Amy.
Starting point is 00:30:30 What do you think? Will you just play the clip again, Ray? 9-1-1, speech for emergency. What's your name? I'm Nate. Yeah, I hear what you say? No, it says, what's your name? What you say?
Starting point is 00:30:39 What you say? I don't know. Let's hear the whole clip. 9-1-1, speech for emergency. What you name? I'm Nate. give you a hammer just in case. They're northcows, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Behind me, dude. Butt dial. Yes. Amy is your champion. Amy's the 911 champion. Wow, she never calls it, but she just dominated it. Hit that song. And for your victory round,
Starting point is 00:31:12 which like to hear the next one? Yeah. Why did this woman call 911? 911, what's your emergency? Yes, it's a weird. There you go, it's a weird. That's all you get. What's your emergency?
Starting point is 00:31:23 It's a weird. Is that she's calling to report something weird in the sky. But it was just the sun. She called a report she had been abducted by aliens and was calling from the spaceship. Or she called to say she had a weird question and wanted to see if they could send an officer to tuck her in and read her a bedtime story. All of these feel like maybe there's something else that has affected her mind at this point. Here's the clip one more time.
Starting point is 00:31:48 911, what's your emergency? Yes, it's a weird. It's a weird. It's all you get. Is it something's in the sky, but it was the sun? Is it aliens, and she's calling from the ship, or is it because it's a weird request? Can cops come and tuck me in?
Starting point is 00:32:03 Something weird in the sky. But it's the sun. Yeah. Here we go. Yes, it's a weird circle up in the sky. It's a round four circle and it's dark in the middle. This is never happening in Tampa Florida. Please go outside, look up in the sky, and look at this weird object.
Starting point is 00:32:23 Oh, it was a sign. There is. Yay. Nice job, and that was, why'd they call 911? Oh, boy. That game, fun to play, but mostly it's fun to hear the whole call. Why in the world would they call 911 for that? I can't believe that operator said, do you want me to come over and shoot them?
Starting point is 00:32:38 You can't come over and shoot them? I know, I know, I know, I know. That crazy. If you are a founder or a freelancer or the friend who always says, hey, you know what, what if I started that? This is for you. I'm telling you I had nothing to my name. I didn't know a single person in New York.
Starting point is 00:32:53 And somehow I'm dressed by Oscar de Lorenta walking down there. red carpet. This month, we sit down with entrepreneurs and creators who actually did it, who turned the scary leap into a business, a paycheck, and a life they are proud of. Direct center of our happiness or our regrets is whether or not we're taking action on the things that matter to us. They're not selfish. They're so important. They actually lead to our greatest contributions because when we're living fulfilled, we actually show up better everywhere. We lead better. We're better friends. We're better relationships and collaborators and all those things because we have passion about the things we're doing.

Listen to Dos Amigos as part of the My Cultura podcast network available on the I-HeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer,
Starting point is 00:34:00 and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything. But at first, it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to community striving.
Starting point is 00:34:22 If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship, nourishap happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Starting point is 00:34:43 You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
Starting point is 00:35:23 We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I would say most people believe in some sort of sign. If you get a sign, I'm not a big believer. I'm not most people. I'm a big believer in signs. I think you can look and find a sign. However, I'm crazy.
Starting point is 00:35:50 Now, Amy believes anytime she sees a cardinal, the bird, it's her mom who's passed away. or a Blue Jay, it's her dad, who's passed away. So we were talking. You saw a huge sign. The show doesn't know about this. What was the sign that you saw? Well, the thing about signs with me is I asked for them, and I had asked for one earlier in the day.
Starting point is 00:36:08 And so I was going to look at a house because it was an open house. It randomly came available, and I thought, well, open house, anybody can go. Close to you? Yeah, close to me. So it was easy to go. And then your wife, Caitlin, she popped on over and went with me, so I didn't have to go by myself. and we walk out to the backyard to check out what the yard looks like.
Starting point is 00:36:27 And the first thing we see is a red cardinal in the tree. And I say red because my mom's always the red ones. I mean, sometimes they have the brown ones and those are the females, so I know it's confusing because red is male. But it's my mom, and I feel like it was a sign. And I filmed it. I have it on my camera. I hear you.
Starting point is 00:36:45 I like to go to Instant Reaction for Lunchbox. Lunchbox Instant Reaction before more of the story. You are going to buy a house because of a house. because a cardinal was in a tree. Okay, thank you for instant reaction. Amy, let's go back to you. Yes, my explanation here is that I got divorced a year ago and I have been thinking about moving,
Starting point is 00:37:04 but I wanted to stay put for a while so that the kids had the house, they got acclimated to their dad's house, and then we would make a decision after some time. And I do think the best move for us as a family is to move. This was a home. It has a lot of memories in it that are like, And I think it would be good for us to relocate, but it's not far.
Starting point is 00:37:27 It'll actually be closer to their dad's house. Everything about it is better. Is it a bigger house? No, it's smaller. I mean, it's just me and the kids. And it's a, it's, this would be less for me to keep up with. I mean, anyway, it's a good move for me, but I have felt weird about selling the house. So really the sign is not by this house.
Starting point is 00:37:47 It was more like seeing the bird. It gives me peace about. about moving. Instant reaction. Eddie? Guys, there are cardinals everywhere. I saw a cardinal in my backyard yesterday. Was that her mom? One flew into my window and died.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Because we cleaned the windows and so they think they can just fly through the house. Boom. And then I got to get a trash bag and pick it up with the trash bag and then fold the thing over and go put it out. And I honestly thought, I was like, if I'm throwing away, my mom, this stuff. That's terrible.
Starting point is 00:38:11 I saw a cardinal in a creek this weekend. Maybe she moved there. Did you, okay, but does a cardinal mean something to you? Do you ask for signs? Were you looking for comfort about something in peace? And I was given that. To me, it was a sign of like, I feel really good now about moving. What if you hadn't seen the Cardinal, would you still move?
Starting point is 00:38:30 I don't know that I would have felt that piece. I felt kind of like, what am I even doing? And this open house just happened to be available. I hadn't planned on going. We went last minute. And to me, I'll show you the video. No, no, I just want to say this. We don't need to see the video.
Starting point is 00:38:44 I've seen Cardinals outside. Hold on, all, everybody relax. But it was right there. Only one. I just want to say something. I can't prove you're wrong. You can't. I am not saying you're wrong.
Starting point is 00:38:54 There's no way we can prove you wrong. And if you were looking for a reason and this gave you peace, then, you know, what the heck? Go get you a house. Although that's crazy. The house part. No, I hate this because, like, I believe in signs two bones. I believe in signs all the time. But this one, like, she's making it sound crazy.
Starting point is 00:39:08 But now you are saying only your signs matter and hers don't. That's what you're saying. I'm saying that. I'm saying that, Amy, you wanted to buy the house anyway. No, no. It's not about me buying the house. It's about me selling my house. house and taking that on. This is a better move for me.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Would you have bought the house without selling the house? So, I mean, it's both. Also, when I say it's the reaction, you have three seconds. We've got to get back to the story. Okay, fine. Okay. Whatever. No, no, no. It's my mom. Don't get mad of me. I'm not bad at me. What did you just yell? It's my mom. It's my mom. Okay. It is my mom. I asked for my, I asked for a sign early in the day. and so to me it gave me that comfort in peace. Whether... Instant reaction lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:39:51 So you are thinking that your mom knew and you weren't going to be able to find your mom. No, no, you weren't going to be able to find your mom. I said instant reaction. Amy, keep going? I couldn't explain it well. To me, I think if you ask for signs, they will be there. I don't think if I had, if there was no red cardinal in the backyard of this house, I don't know that I would have had the piece yesterday about making a decision to actually actively move.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Instant reaction, Eddie. It's springtime in Nashville. There are cardinals everywhere. Ray, instant reaction. Do you have audio of you asking for a sign? Oh, good question. No, but I mean, I did it during my morning prayer meditation. Did you talk to the bird when you said, oh, hey, mom.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Thanks for giving me. Oh, my God. I did. I filmed it. But can I say one more thing? I want to hear what you said to the bird. Oh, hey, mom. I start filming.
Starting point is 00:40:36 Stop. Stop. Even, Caitlin, she walked out there with me and I was like, Caitlin, that's the first thing we saw. Yeah, there's a lot of cardinals at my house right now. Did Caitlin say hi to your mom too? She was a supportive friend. That's good. And I'm trying to be supportive here.
Starting point is 00:40:49 I can't prove you wrong. I felt like you wanted to do it. I feel like you asked for a sign, therefore you're looking for anything to be a sign? I think that yes, you see, no, but also not seeing a sign is the sign. I think you would have found a sign anyway. No, if I never saw a cardinal, I'd be like, okay, cool. So you were only looking for a cardinal as a sign.
Starting point is 00:41:04 No, I just happened to get it. I also look for the number 2-2-2. Why? Because that's just a number that I look for. Good for you. It sounds like you wanted to do it, and you needed something to blame it on if it doesn't work out. But it's not a blame. All I'm telling you, there's nothing to blame.
Starting point is 00:41:24 All I'm telling you is now I have peace about putting my home on the market and moving. And that's all that matters. Good for you. I like it. Good for you. It feels a little crazy. But we all do crazy things. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:41:35 We all do crazy things. Can I also share one more thing? Absolutely. So it was an open house, so there was a lot of people there in and out. And as I'm filming the bird, this little gritty. girl that's with her family, she runs into the backyard and is being, and I'm thought, oh, no, the bird's going to fly away and I'm trying to get out my camera. The bird, but no. Your mom wanted to stay for you. The kid did not face her. She's like, I'm going to stay here
Starting point is 00:41:57 long enough for you to feel comfort and peace. I know, it sounds crazy. When I even say it out loud, but whatever, it gives me peace. And we have no problem with that. When lunchbox wears the same dirty clothes every day to watch a game, it doesn't move from the couch, that's also a bit irrational. Right. Right. But he does it. But I don't move because a bird landed in a tree. But that's not why I'm moving. I have been thinking about moving. Listen to what I'm saying, lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:42:20 I have been thinking about moving. I haven't necessarily felt peace about it. But now that I feel like I was given a sign of like, hey, it is okay for you to move. That's good. I'm good with it. Here's what I want to say. I would like to hear what you said to your mom if you feel comfortable. Is it on the video?
Starting point is 00:42:40 Have you talking to your mom? I don't know. Who's in the bird? And what if your dad would have showed up, though, and went like, uh-uh. He's a blue bird. Let me tell you. Seeing my mom gave me peace that I should move.
Starting point is 00:42:50 If my dad had shown up, I'd be like, this is the house. I have to move here. Wait, I don't understand the difference. Okay, the difference is I haven't felt, I'm moving out of my home. Let's say your dad showed up, though. It's a blue jay. Yeah, I would have just been like, this is a double sign. No, no, what if your mom never showed up with just your dad?
Starting point is 00:43:08 Oh, it would have been just comfort and peace to move. So either if Blue J or Cardinal. Yeah, but my mom... National League or American League. Show up. You're good to go. My mom, she's... My mom's been dead longer, so she has more experience.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Ozzie Smith or Joe Carter, either one. They show up, all good. Go ahead. I don't even know if I say anything. Okay, go ahead. Okay, I said, Mom, don't go anywhere. That little kid's going to scare. They heard it. So you move now because of pizza is and a bird.
Starting point is 00:43:44 Hold on, hold on. I want everybody to relax and take a breath and not have Amy feel attacked. We can all have our little saying here. I'm going to pass the stick because everybody's trying to jump in. I'm going to pass a talking stick to lunchbox. you have like 30 seconds with a talking stick. Go ahead. Pizas and a bird.
Starting point is 00:43:59 Two reasons you have sold homes. The most unbelievable reasons I've ever heard in my life. Divorce too in there. Nah, divorce. Stand the same home though. Yeah. Amy, I'm just saying it sounds cuckoo. It sounds crazy.
Starting point is 00:44:12 But if it works for you, it works for you, I'm not judging you. Oh, you did. No, that's not true. You judge. I'm showing support for you, but I'm laughing at you. I'm laughing at you too. Not a judgment. I know.
Starting point is 00:44:22 Eddie? Amy, look, I'm with you on the sign thing, but this one's a little too much. Unfair, unfair to judge a sign. It's a little too much because there are Cardinals everywhere right now. I'm not kidding when I tell you, a friend of mine texts me this weekend and said, hey, Amy's mom's in my backyard right now. I'll show you the picture and the text. No, I believe it, because Amy's mom floating in my window.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Okay, I'll conclude with this. Good for you. I'm glad you're making this decision, and if that's what you needed, because even though you felt like you needed to make this decision, I am looking for a sign today, and if I see this sign, I'm probably going to shave my head bald and change my name to Rodrigo. Stop. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:44:56 But if I see a car driving on the road once I leave here. Okay. That's... A car? Oh, all right. Just a car driving on the road. Get the razor. Yep, let's go.
Starting point is 00:45:03 I mean, bud, who knows? You don't know. Can I give an example of what support looks like? Because this is... I'm supported you. I said I believe in you. No, none of y'all are showing... This is support.
Starting point is 00:45:12 Because last night before I went to bed... I just supported the crap out of you in front of these two knuckleheads. I sent Caitlin a text. I said, seeing that cardinal really gave me peace about selling my house. Maybe it's not the house we saw today, but I finally feel okay about moving. Appreciate you going with me today. Her reply, I love that. It will be a beautiful new chapter.
Starting point is 00:45:30 Heart. I agree. That's what I just said. That's support. No, no, no. Even Kay, she maybe thought I was crazy for the Cardinal, but she didn't say it. She also doesn't have to provide five hours of compelling content on the air. We do.
Starting point is 00:45:41 And we have to say what we're thinking. Yeah. Okay. Well, I'm just saying that is support. And also, when Caitlin and I went the realtor definitely thought we were a lesbian couple buying house. Much better than the last time you guys went somewhere. Oh, when we were in New York. What was that? No, when they thought Amy
Starting point is 00:45:55 was Caitlin's mom. Oh. Oh, gosh. That's terrible. I went to get a car. Yes. I was like, what? He straight up said, like, oh, like mom and daughter Al, like doing some shopping. I'm like, I thought that's what she meant. No. I was thinking about the trip we took to New York
Starting point is 00:46:11 where people also thought we were a lesbian couple. Robin the cradle, huh? I mean, yeah. Even though same as me? Whatever. Ever. Good job, good job. Get the house. Well, I don't know if it's going to be that house, but I'm going to... Well, your mom lives there already. Why not get the house?
Starting point is 00:46:24 You have to move in. That's where your mom was. Yeah, bet. But don't you all understand that she's... She's bidding. Rock it up. She's not really the bird. Hey, you go, girl.
Starting point is 00:46:32 You get it. Girlfriend. Heart, heart. Yoss queen. Is this your mom? Is this your being supportive? Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:39 Yoss queen. Okay. Let me do this. I want to play this song. I mean, next time you'll need comfort and support when you've gone through something hard. We just can't give it to you blindly without giving you our actual feelings of there's 100,000 cardinals in the air. But y'all don't ever have to make a difficult decision. Yeah, there's 100,000 pennies everywhere.
Starting point is 00:46:55 And sometimes if people see a penny or. Not us. She just said we don't have to make difficult decisions. No. I said, do you ever have to? Yeah. Message us, whatever. Or like butterflies.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Leave a voicemail, whatever you want to say. Now I'm in on butterflies. Now I got to play this song. Thank you, everybody. Okay. Here's a voicemail from Chelsea. Hey Bobby. Hey, Amy, and hey, lunchbox. Love your show so much. Every morning, I have like a 40-minute drive and I get listened to like the good stories and the morning corny. During my day at work, when things get a little bit shaky and a little bit tense in the atmosphere, I use Amy's morning corny's to lighten up the atmosphere and make it a better morale in the office place. So thank you, Amy, for your morning cornees. Keep them up. Thanks, guys. I love your show. Gave me an idea just now.
Starting point is 00:47:45 We should do a 15-minute file once every three months of Amy's morning corny. It's all strung together on the podcast. It's a lot of fun. Oh, boy. And not just a joke. Like the whole setup. Like the whole bit. And then it's just one morning corny after another.
Starting point is 00:48:04 And we'll call it like the pain podcast. If you haven't pain, you go to that podcast and listen to that. Oh. That's a good idea. Yeah. I like that. Chelsea, I give you the credit for that inspiration there. But we've never done that before.
Starting point is 00:48:14 We should do an all-morning corny podcast like every three months or so. And if it were just a joke, it would take us 10 years. But we did the whole segment. Okay, so y'all's, you all right, the corny on Thursday.
Starting point is 00:48:24 Yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah. All right, here is Aaron from Texas. Peyton has a morning corny for Amy. Let's be each of its favorite fruit. Banan-na-na-na-na. Thank you guys. We listen to you every day.
Starting point is 00:48:36 That's pretty good. Ban-na-na-na-na-na-na. What goes after that, lunchbox? No, no, no, no. Then do the rest. Do the rest of it. It goes banana, na, na, no. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:48:48 Okay. I think you know it, but I think what you're hearing in your own head and what you're putting out is different. But I do think you know it. No, no, no, no, no, no. Right? I think you know it. It does get lower. Yeah, it goes.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Not like that. Now, I can't do it. You can do it. You can do it. I lost it. He has made me lose it. What you mean? I was spot on.
Starting point is 00:49:08 No, no, no, no. No, no. No, no. No, no. No, no. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:49:12 Now it's gone. Dun, dun, dun, dun, da, da, da. Dun, da, da, da, da, da da da da. Yeah. Is that not what I did? No, not really. I think in your head you did. So you get the point.
Starting point is 00:49:26 You did get the point. You guys hear stuff absolutely way different than I do. Absolutely. We agree with that. Yes. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Young people have a new telltale sign that someone is old. Gray hair.
Starting point is 00:49:42 That's easy. I would say, This is mostly specific to women. Earphones with cords in it. Okay, but see, I have heard. No, because you wear one. I've heard that it's less, you know, for lack of a better word,
Starting point is 00:49:55 toxic to us if we have the cord. Okay, whatever you want to leave. It's damaging to us. Great. Is that not true? Old person weekly, have that story? Yeah, go ahead. Okay, well, it's if you're wearing eye shadow,
Starting point is 00:50:07 which don't worry if you're driving right now or you're getting ready for working, you're putting on eye shadow. I have my eye shadow on too. We're good. Eye shadow. Morgan, do you wear eye shadow? Yeah, I have it on right now. Okay. I know, but she's getting older.
Starting point is 00:50:18 True. Oh, yeah. Bring Lauren in. Ray, bring Lauren in. Don't tell her what we're asking. Okay. Here she comes. This is Lauren, who is now the youngest member of our show. She's one of our producers that works in the back room. He's running in. Okay, here she comes. Whenever you wear makeup, what kind of makeup do you wear around your eyes?
Starting point is 00:50:38 Usually just mascara and then sometimes a little eyeliner, depending on the situation. and day. That's what we needed to know? Oh, wow. No further questions. That's all we needed to know. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 00:50:47 Wow. Wow. That's crazy. That's crazy. I know. It's funny. Amy said that only old people wear eye shadow now, including herself. And then you were like, eye liner and just a little league.
Starting point is 00:50:58 And that's it. I'm like, okay. Well, dang. And I really like, even this morning, I was like, oh, I'm going to actually put, I show on with, like, my brush. Sometimes I just use my finger, but I was like, I need more coverage. And now I'm like, shoot. Lauren Mooks in, bare-eyed, ready to go. I'll do eye shadow on like special occasions,
Starting point is 00:51:15 but now usually I'll just take like my bronzer brush and just... A little bit. Classic young person. Yeah, so on TikTok, they're calling it, Lauren, just so you know, I mentioned these guys, aka an old lady thing if you wear eye shadow and also the over 40 lifestyle. Oh, no. You ever wear pearls?
Starting point is 00:51:32 Not really. Can you say you do? I mean, like I'll look sometimes, like special occasions. Yeah, yeah. Did you hire a makeup person for your wedding? Yes, I did. Is it somebody you had to book way out because they're really good? good. Yeah, uh-huh. I booked them out months ago.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Is that like, it's like a wedding thing? Do most people hire somebody to do their makeup for wedding? I've seen both, but yeah, I say most people hire someone to do their hair and makeup. But I've seen some girls who they don't like to get it professionally done. They just want to do it themselves, but. Do they, will you wear eye shadow at your wedding? So I had my like makeup test trial and they did put just a very neutral looking eye shadow on me. So I think I'm going to do it with that. It's like a little shimmer to it. I think wedding calls in the special occasion. Yeah, yeah. And like for the photos. And I everything like that. You only marry once.
Starting point is 00:52:15 There she is. Lauren. Thank you Lauren for coming in. Science experiment there. Okay, this story is, I feel like the guys, y'all are going to want to maybe test this out, but the CIA is looking to hire super fit agents. Now, women can do this too, but they obviously want someone
Starting point is 00:52:30 patriotic, trustworthy, but most importantly fit enough to complete 27 sit-ups and 18 push-ups in one minute. I think I could do that thing, but I don't think I could do the rest of the things. Not trustworthy. None of that. Patriotic.
Starting point is 00:52:45 Yeah, well, I could do that. But until it came time, like, to risk my life, and I'd be like, I'm out. That's why I'm not the military. I'm not strong enough. I'm not, I'm not dedicated enough. I'm glad we have military members to do that because I am a wimp. I thought someone was going to try to see in this room if y'all could do that. We don't win anything by doing it right, but if we don't do it, we look stupid.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Okay. All right, what else? Well, Eminem is asking his fans, aka Stans, for their help and an upcoming documentary. There's this whole survey that you can fill out. There's questions like, how did you first hear about Eminem? And do you consider yourself a stand? And Lunchfox is like a huge Eminem fan and I feel like he should go partake. How did you first hear about Eminem?
Starting point is 00:53:24 I have no idea. Probably the radio. Probably the radio. Me too. I mean, I played it. I remember when I first got. Hi, my name is. I was like, this song is crazy.
Starting point is 00:53:32 Cool. I didn't know if it was a rap song or an alternative song. Okay. Lunchwax, do you collect Eminem merch? I have a shirt. Okay. Do you write fan fiction? It creates it constantly in his head.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Do what? These are the questions. I don't know what fan fiction means. It's where you, like, create your own story involving the characters, but it's not real. Oh, yeah, I haven't believed that me and him and will be friends. What did you just say? Can we get an interpreter for what he just said? I said me and him be friends.
Starting point is 00:53:59 I don't know that's what you said. It made me what you meant. I meant to say, I was going to just say M, but then I was like, that sounds like we're friends. Is that I don't know me a little bit of friends. Have you ever been to Detroit? Yes. Oh, okay. And then you can send in lunchbox a.
Starting point is 00:54:12 one minute video explaining why you're a big stand. You should send it anyway. You just lie. You got to make stuff up though, because... Yeah, you got to be better than that. Eminem, like, boom. First time I saw you in concert, you got to, like, you know, you got to work on some of that.
Starting point is 00:54:27 Yeah, yeah. I struggle too. Same, same. Yeah, so I got three thoughts coming out of once sometimes. I just didn't know if I was supposed to call them M or M&M. I didn't know, so I kind of just went in between and gave up. My favorite song, here is a slimpl. That was Amy's Pile.
Starting point is 00:54:42 of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. We got this one on the voicemail line. Here you go. So two years ago, I had cancer. Last year, I had a heart attack. And after my heart attack, three guys I work with show up, brought their own long care equipment and cut my grass. It would be Bill, Duane, and Harold. These guys were fantastic. Never asked them. They just showed up and did it. And to tell me something good is 10 months after my heart attack, I ran a 5K with my kids.
Starting point is 00:55:13 completely 100% over both the cancer and heart attack. Wow. That's really cool. That guy's been through it. It is all the way through it. And big shout out to Bill, Dwayne, and Harold for showing up and fixing the dude's yard. That's great cool. That's awesome. That's meaningful.
Starting point is 00:55:29 That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. There's Trisha from Paris, Florida. I am a little behind. I'm listening to the podcast where Bobby was talking about new people not liking the show, and he is 100% correct. I started listening to you guys way back, and I'm like, this is not for me. And I stopped listening.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Then gave it another shot, and now I've been listening for years. And you're right, it just takes him getting used to. I don't know what it is, but now I love you guys and can't miss a show. I've both been insulted and complimented. Yeah. The same clip, and I'm here for it. I felt the same way. So thank you.
Starting point is 00:56:10 Yeah, we're difficult to get used to because we're unlike any of these other shows that you hear. We don't sound good. We don't say the right things. We just kind of come on and sometimes authenticity is confused as dumb. Hmm. But sometimes it is the same thing. Man, do we want people just to turn us on and be like, that's not for me? If what we could do then is good boarding everybody.
Starting point is 00:56:36 It's 412. I would turn that on and be like, that's not for me. Oh. How could that not be for you? That's morning corny. He wrapped up. It's all corny all the time. Yeah, I mean, that's you.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Let's get to Battle of the Sexes. So, yeah, it's a bit different. Like, I'm the lead guy, and I don't speak well. I talk too fast. I have an accent. Don't get me started on you guys. Oh, yeah. We don't have to talk.
Starting point is 00:57:04 We don't need to do that. None of us have ever, well, except for me, None of the whole show has worked in radio. Now we have for a long time. But yeah, it's, thank you for saying that. I don't know why I'm defending myself. She did end it with a compliment. Let's go over now to the morning corny.
Starting point is 00:57:21 The morning corny. What do you call a hen that counts her eggs? What? A math and a chicken. That was the morning corny. Oh, yeah. That reminds me of one I know. Just off the dough.
Starting point is 00:57:42 Oh, do it. Please. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Cockadoodle do. A rooster does that right? Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:49 Is that exactly what she's talking about for everybody listening. What do you call a negative rooster? What? Concadoodle don't. That was really funny. Like, that's the funniest one you've told in ages. Yeah. Yeah, that was one.
Starting point is 00:58:03 What are you called a negative rooster, a cockadoodle don't? Yeah. That's funny. Oh. If you are a founder or a freelancer or the friend who always says, hey, you know what, what if I started that? This is for you. I'm telling you I had nothing to my name.
Starting point is 00:58:18 I didn't know a single person in New York. And somehow I'm dressed by Oscar de Lorenta walking down that red carpet. This month, we sit down with entrepreneurs and creators who actually did it, who turned the scary leap into a business, a paycheck, and a life they are proud of. Direct center of our happiness or our regrets
Starting point is 00:58:36 is whether or not we're taking action on the things that matter to us. They're not selfish. They're so important. They actually lead to our greatest contributions because when we're living fulfilled, we actually show up better everywhere. We lead better. We're better friends. We're better relationships and collaborators and all those things because we have passion about the things we're doing. If you're trying to build something
Starting point is 00:58:56 of your own this year, join us in these conversations that will make you braver and smarter with your money. Listen to Dos Amigos as part of the Michael Tutta Podcast Network available on the IHartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable. Until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer,
Starting point is 00:59:27 and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything, but at first it was just, life, you gotta go get a real job. There's an economic component to community striving.
Starting point is 00:59:49 If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. You can have opinions.
Starting point is 01:00:11 You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that, that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
Starting point is 01:00:50 We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I got a jar full of cash that we've been contributing. If we did something stupid, like used a crutch word, said a bad word. It's basically that kind of jar. 20, 30, 40, 50. It's a decent amount of money. Okay.

Starting point is 01:11:37 Give me the money back. Give me the money back. Give the money back. Give the money back. Give the money back. Give the money back. That's current. Well, my try.
Starting point is 01:11:47 You would have had it. No, no, no, no. Paul McCarton. So Guns and Roses was the guitarist, Piano. I was going to say piano. Michael Jaze your thriller. Louis Armstrong.
Starting point is 01:11:58 Trumpet. Trumpet. Bob Dylan. Like a rolling stone. Lynn Manuel Miranda wrote Hamilton. Call McCartney. Living in the Mendo. That's what I thought.
Starting point is 01:12:06 I'm trying to think of his name. Give me the jar. Give me the jar. Get me the jar. Put the money back in. Okay, so what are we playing another game for the money? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:15 We've got any more questions here. Give him the money. Give it. Give it. Give it. Let me. Let's do the sports one. need the money.
Starting point is 01:12:23 Double or nothing. Then you'll have to pay if you lose. Did the hypnotist say anything about giving the money back this morning? Oh, man. I got an idea. I got an idea. I got an idea. I got an idea.
Starting point is 01:12:34 Hold on. I wasn't grateful. I have an idea. So I don't want to do sports and I feel like that's fair. But I can give, we can take a break. I can give all four of you an opportunity in history. Love it. Out of the room.
Starting point is 01:12:45 You come in one at a time. Whoever has the highest points. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Whoever has the highest points gets the money, but it's going to cost you $2 to play. It goes in the jar.
Starting point is 01:12:54 Okay. Okay. Sounds good. Okay. This is awesome, dude. Everybody want to pay $2 to play? Yeah. Yes. Absolutely, dude.
Starting point is 01:13:03 Good. Amy, what you keys? I know. So who keeps the $2? You do? No, the winner of you guys. The house isn't going to be. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:11 Let's try this again. It's a great day. This is a jar full of cash over the last year. So we've all contributed to the jar whenever we do like a, say, a crutch word. We say we lose a game. It's just full of cash. Amy won it, then lost it. That was crazy.
Starting point is 01:13:26 Grand opening, grand closing, just like that. We're going to do one category. You guys get all the same questions. Love it. But only one in the room at the same time. Yes. So, Amy, since you're the one that lost the money, you get to pick the order of the four.
Starting point is 01:13:39 Who would you like to go first, second, third, and fourth? Okay. We'll just keep the same order we have before. Lunchbox, me, Eddie Moore. Okay, everybody out of the room except for lunchbox. Of course. And to Google, will you make sure nobody can hear? Hey, lunchbox, will you run my cameras?
Starting point is 01:13:56 That's true. Just put it over there. We'll put them in the hot seat. Okay, perfect. I'll leave it on there. But I get to say because I already am right at the end. Yeah, you can say the whole night. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, good.
Starting point is 01:14:05 I don't have to leave. All right, lunchboxes go on to the hot seat. Oh, I got to have, no, I don't need a lot of there. But you can't interfere with them as they're doing their questions. Okay, here we go. Can we take this down so you can see me? No. No.
Starting point is 01:14:16 I'm blocking you. Can you hear me? We can hear you, yes. Okay, lunchbox is now in the hot seat. 60 seconds on the clock. They'll all get the same exact questions. Lunchbox, are you ready? Yeah, history was not my strong suit.
Starting point is 01:14:28 Let me tell you that. Ray Mundo, are you ready around the time? Yep. Make sure they can't hear me. You can't hear me in the hallway, right? 0%. All right, here we go. Lunchbox, what year to Christopher Columbus reached the Americas?
Starting point is 01:14:37 1492. Correct. What was the name of the ship that carried the pilgrims to a... Mayflower. Correct. What war ended in 1945? World War II. Correct.

Starting point is 01:15:15 Six is solid. Six out of seven. What was that? The answer was World War I. The assassination of Archduke, France. Man, I am awesome in history. I'm a lot better than I thought. All right, lunchbox, you can go to your seat.
Starting point is 01:15:25 Yep. Who's coming next? Next up is Amy. Let's bring in Amy. She won the jar of money earlier, then, you know, lost it very quickly. Yeah, that was pretty good. I'm glad we did that. Now, she'll get the same seven questions.
Starting point is 01:15:40 Amy, come have a seat. Right here on the hot seat? Hot seat. The category is history. Timer starts after the first question. Are you ready? I'm ready. What year did Christopher Columbus reach the America?
Starting point is 01:15:51 1492. Correct. What was the name of the ship that carried the pilgrims? The Mayflower. Correct. What war ended in 1945? World War II. Correct.

Starting point is 01:16:32 the, uh, British, British. In an answer. I don't know. I don't know. Say it again. The assassination of Archduke,
Starting point is 01:16:39 France Ferdinand, marked the start of what war? I don't know. British war. Incorrect. World War of one. Yeah, that would have been the answer. You just said it war.
Starting point is 01:16:50 You got six. I didn't even say a real war. You got six. Have a seat over there? Don't worry about what everybody got. Amy, you're over there. Go sit down, please. One of war, though.
Starting point is 01:17:00 Any war? I'm sorry. You're in the hot seat. They're coming. They're coming in. All right, here we go. Let's bring the next person in. It's Eddie.
Starting point is 01:17:07 Let's go. Here comes Eddie. Shoot. I love history. Okay. You've been a part of it more than us. All right, here we go. One year.
Starting point is 01:17:16 Are you ready? Yeah. What year to Christopher Columbus reached the Americas? 1642. Incorrect. What was the name of the ship? They carried the pilgrims to America. That's the Mayflower.
Starting point is 01:17:32 Correct. What war ended in 1945? That's World War II. What year, correct. What year did the United States declare independence from Britain? Pass. Who was the main author of the Declaration of Independence? The main author was Thomas Jefferson.

Starting point is 01:18:04 What year are the United States declare independence from Britain? 1947. Oh my God. I'm done? Somebody got better than this? Yes, yes. You're done.
Starting point is 01:18:15 So, let me just start. Eddie thought that Columbus hit us like last year or something. 1490. Don't let her in yet. Don't let her in yet. 1492, Eddie would have been your answer. What is it, 1492?
Starting point is 01:18:27 Yeah. The ocean blue. Yeah. Mayflower was a beautiful. Pilgrims. World War II, you got that right. 1776 is the year. Thomas Jefferson Declaration Independent Jamestown. You're the only one that's got
Starting point is 01:18:38 World War I. Who did that? Fransford and Ann. All right, bring in Morgan. I thought that was a band. I almost got it. It is. Here she is. Same seven questions. Morgan, come to the hot seat over here. We're not going to say how many anybody has. The category is history.
Starting point is 01:18:56 Ready to go? Yeah. What year to Christopher Columbus reach the Americas? 1864. What was the name of the ship that carried the pilgrims to America? The Mayflower. Correct. What war ended in 1945?
Starting point is 01:19:12 World War I. Incorrect. You want to hear the other one just for fun? What year do the United States declare independence from Britain? I have no idea. Okay. And no guess? In 1875.
Starting point is 01:19:25 Almost. That was post-Civil War. Dang. Edd. Who's the main author of the Declaration of Independence? George Washington? No. Thomas Jefferson. No. First permanent English settlement in North America? In North America? New Hampshire?
Starting point is 01:19:44 Mountain Pine, Arkansas. That's true. Jamestown, Virginia. And the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand marked the start of what war? Civil war? I have no idea. Yeah, that's a tough one for her. Morgan, you don't win. Eddie, don't win. What just happened here? and Amy both got six out of seven. That is ridiculous.
Starting point is 01:20:05 What are you talking about? Let's go. Hold on, hold on. We both missed World War I. Amy just didn't guess a war and then finally think she goes World War I and it was already over. Yeah, that time was up. Oh my goodness.
Starting point is 01:20:17 Yeah, I know. I'm mad at myself. All right. Sudden death. What did you get? I don't know. I got like five, four maybe. What did I get four right?
Starting point is 01:20:24 I don't know, dude. We just gave up because you were so bad. Sudden death. The category is spelling. Write your answer down. Spelling? Yeah. But.
Starting point is 01:20:32 Come on. Is that fair now? The answer is, whoa, yellow card. No, it's making a joke. Oh, why not? You get a yellow card too. Spell patriarch. As in, they are the patriarch of the family. Oh. I don't need to see.
Starting point is 01:20:58 You guys good? Yeah, I'm in. Okay. Amy? Yeah. Go ahead. Okay, I'm in. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:21:09 Say that a lot. Oh, geez. P. A. T-R-I-A-R-C-H. Okay, let's go to lunchbox. I have a spelled the exact same way. P-A-T-R-I-A-R-C-H.
Starting point is 01:21:23 That's correct. Okay, we have got in the tie. Double tiebreaker. Wow. Spell gonorrhea. Oh, lunchbox is going to get that, no problem. Can you use it in a sentence? Lunchbox is going to get gonorrhea, no problem.
Starting point is 01:21:41 Spelling it and getting it. And so whoever gets the closest spelling it with, Oh my gosh, like this is just so... And the judges will get the closest. I don't know who's going to get this. All right, guys, need an answer? Yeah, I'm in. Amy, you need an answer?
Starting point is 01:22:07 Okay. Did you write it down? Okay, lunchbox. Go ahead slowly. G-N-O-R-R-E-A, gonorrhea. Do that one more time. G-N, you said G-N. G-N-O-R-E-A, gonorrhea.
Starting point is 01:22:23 Okay. And I forgot the H there. Well, what about the O and gone? You just like Gunuria. Yeah, the G-S-S-L-E-R-E-A. Yeah, okay, Amy. Okay, G-H-O-N-A-R-E-A. I think they both are pretty generally.
Starting point is 01:22:39 But I think Amy spelled it better than Lund-E-N-E-N-E-B-R-R-H-E-A. Well, how do you spell it? How do you spell it? Who missed more letters? Mike, what do you think? Yeah, it's Amy. Wow, she gets the money back. I got it.
Starting point is 01:22:49 How do you spell gonorrhea? G-O-N-O-R-H-E-A, G-R-H-E-A, gone-H-H is way at the end. He spelled it G N. Like the G is silent. Like a N. I put the O after the end and she put the O before so she wins. But the O is right before. G O.
Starting point is 01:23:04 At least mine still is gone. And you had enough letters. He spelled it like four letters. Interesting. And what? He spelled what? Amy, you are the winner. I got it back.
Starting point is 01:23:13 He got it back. You got it back. You spelled it like noki. Yeah. Wow. Amy once again. Oh, I got. Hey, you know, Amy.
Starting point is 01:23:25 deserve to win. Hey, we want to risk it again. That's okay. We're done. I came into money twice today. No, no, that's not how that works. All right, done, done. Thank you. If you are a founder or a freelancer or the friend who always says, hey, you know what, what if I started that? This is for you. I'm telling you I had nothing to my name. I didn't know a single person in New York. And somehow I'm dressed by Oscar de Lorenta walking down that red carpet. This month, we sit down with entrepreneurs and creators who actually did it, who turned the scary leave into a business, a paycheck, and a life they are proud of.
Starting point is 01:24:01 Direct center of our happiness or our regrets is whether or not we're taking action on the things that matter to us. They're not selfish. They're so important. They actually lead to our greatest contributions because when we're living fulfilled, we actually show up better everywhere. We lead better. We're better friends.
Starting point is 01:24:18 We're better relationships and collaborators and all those things because we have passion about the things we're doing. If you're trying to build something of your own this year, join us in these conversations that will make you braver and smarter with your money. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and host of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty. that none of us likes.
Starting point is 01:25:24 Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real conversations about money,
Starting point is 01:25:46 growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling. up. If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything. But at first,
Starting point is 01:26:07 it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to community striving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to eating, Ball broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Call us if you have a question. Call us if you have a comment. This is a calm voice. Call us. 877. 77. 77. 77 Bobby. 877. 77 B-O-B-B-Y. All right. Let's go to the news. Bobby's Big. Stories.
Starting point is 01:26:52 Jelly Roll says he's lost 70-something pounds as he prepares for a 5K. That's cool. He says, quote, it feel really good in the midst of, well, by the way, he's killing it. He's earning every award possible. He's all over the place. It's super cool to see. He is focusing on his health journey. He says he's down about 70 pounds.
Starting point is 01:27:09 How old do you think jelly roll is? 30 something? 402. Okay. What did you think? I'll go 36. He's 39. Okay.
Starting point is 01:27:20 You know, with all the tattoos and the name jelly roll, it's hard to put an age on it. Right. Yeah. You know who also smelled pretty good. post Malone. Didn't expect it. Like I said, I thought he would smell like tattoos, whatever that meant. Not sure what that means.
Starting point is 01:27:34 And when I hugged him, I was like, not bad. I would have thought like beer and cigarettes. A little bit of wacky cigarette. Got it. Case kids listening. Yeah, got you. But no, he smelled pretty good. Wow, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:27:50 Yeah. It was such a nice guy. Like, that dude was like super kind when he dealt. Definitely could have just been normal and everybody would have been like, wow, he's awesome. But like for no reason at all, he was just super kind, post Malone. Jellyroll was awesome too. Maybe I just see a face tattoo. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:28:06 Maybe that way if you're just normal, people think you're super kind. He's like, man, he's got a face tattoo. He's awesome. Midlife crises, let's talk about that. This is from anatomy of a breakthrough by Adam Alter. Psychological research reveals that we're constantly questioning our lives. There's never really a so-called midlife crisis. Typically for most people, it's constant question.
Starting point is 01:28:27 questioning, about the age of 28, people start questioning the meaningfulness of their lives. We go through cycles and mostly midlife crisis, what we call that and assign that. We do things instead of midlife, like when certain cycles end, after college, or after high school, or after marriage, or after childbirth, or after divorce or after retirement. Like we kind of reset more than it being midlife, it's kind of like, I need to reset life, a reset life crisis. thoughts. Oh, I guess, too, it just depends on the older you get or sometimes around that.
Starting point is 01:29:01 What would be midlife? So 40 something, you're in a better position at times. Like, so maybe you, that's why you can buy yourself something. Because, like, I associate midlife with, like, men buying a fast car. Like a sports car, a convertible sports car. And that's stereotypical, but maybe it's like, I've always wanted one of these and I can finally, you know, get it. But I picture guys that buy convertible sports cars to be like 58 and kind of balding and on a viag. commercial. A little older than midlife
Starting point is 01:29:29 Crows. Or maybe like a Harley or something. Yeah, none of that really interests me. Really? Maybe the Viagra. But like the Harley and the car. It is interesting. It's like a thrill, like a need for speed. I had a buddy who was like, hey, I bought some Viagra. And we were like 25. And I was like,
Starting point is 01:29:45 why? And he goes, I don't know. I just wanted to see what it would do. I was like, I know what it does. I just by hearing about it. And he's like, I'm going to take it. And so he broke it into like four squares and then he took it and then I was like, well, you do your thing,
Starting point is 01:29:59 whatever that is. He goes, no, I just want to see if it works. I'm like, it's medicine. Of course, it's going to work. And he lived like three apartments
Starting point is 01:30:06 down from me. And like randomly nine hours later, he called me and he goes, hey man, it works. Like, it was like half confused, half sad.
Starting point is 01:30:15 And he only took a fourth? No, he broke it and took a fourth. Oh, so if you break it down, it does half? Dude, I don't know. Interesting. I never did. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:30:23 Nine hours later, though. Well, I don't think he took it right when he was, I don't think he went like, let me take it. Um, yum, yum, yum. Yeah. Because I've heard after four hours, you should go to the emergency room. Four hours. I know.
Starting point is 01:30:32 But he was like, but again, he was experimenting with it and he didn't, he was by himself. That was the weird thing to me. That is weird. Like, he was young and he was by himself. No girlfriend. And he was like, I'm going to experiment with Viagra. And are you? Really?
Starting point is 01:30:44 We want to get that chemistry experiment going. Being bullied, according to the American Journal of Psychiatry, being bullied sticks with you for a long time. after you're out of school, a long-term study of the mental scars that bullying leaves finds its effects are still detectable 40 years later. People who are bullied as kids
Starting point is 01:31:02 have higher risk of depression and anxiety once they grow up. They're less likely to be in a relationship. Yeah, I think there's a little fine line, sometimes not so fine, between being bullied, being picked on, being in the natural element of junior high,
Starting point is 01:31:23 and I think at times they can be confused for each other. Like, do you really want a kid going all the way through school with no adversity? No, of course you don't. Yeah. But do you want your kid being punched in the face and like that? No. But all of that's not bullying. Like, I was bullied a little bit.
Starting point is 01:31:40 I was picked on a lot. And I was probably just a dweeb who deserved it another third of the time. But sometimes kids would be like, I've been bullied. And you're like, no, I don't think it's bullied. But then some kids get really bullied. and it's like that is really like you need help that's so bad that it's affected you
Starting point is 01:31:57 I guess for me where the irritation comes is they just associate everything with bullying anything that's adversity at all is bad which it isn't always but there's new kinds of bullying like the digital bullying that stuff we didn't have to deal with it like that show 13 reasons why
Starting point is 01:32:14 I'll never forget it it's about bullying this girl who like you know that's not a documentary right no it's a movie no it's a series Oh, it's a series. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hannah Baker was her name, dude. I'll never forget it.
Starting point is 01:32:24 It's not real. Still, though, I'm sure that happens. Yeah, but it could happen. Yeah, I'm sure it happens a lot. But Eddie was acting like he knew Hannah Baker. Did you watch that one? Yeah, I watched season one. I don't watch season two because I was like we did 13.
Starting point is 01:32:34 We didn't have 14 reasons. Oh, I didn't watch season two. I think that was 14 reasons why season two was. But I thought it was a really good show. I did. I thought it was really good. It was a little young, obviously. Yeah, but that's what the kids are going through now.
Starting point is 01:32:45 I felt like it was good for kids to see that. Not even kids. It's heavy. I should watch my son watch that. You would let him watch that? I should, right? Yeah, I think now he's 16. Dude, he's 16.
Starting point is 01:32:59 Yeah, yeah, yeah, but you know, they're in high school. See, you don't think you're 16 year olds doing, watching stuff worse than that. You know what to know about? You keep saying that, man. He's not. He's 16. Like, Eddie, it's a really good opportunity to have conversations with your kids about what's happening. Right.
Starting point is 01:33:15 But usually instead of the conversations, I just play a movie and be like, check this out. Well, that's what they did to us in school and nothing worked. Like the time they bring it Here's sex ed. Watch this. And the coach leaves. Oh my gosh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:33:27 Nothing. And we would just laugh the whole time. Yeah, we'd be like, huh. One year my mom didn't sign my permission slip for me to participate in sexa
Starting point is 01:33:34 and I had to leave. Like, it was like, okay, we're about to start our health and wellness or whatever. And they're like, they name off the people, Amy,
Starting point is 01:33:42 you have to leave the room. And it was so embarrassing because my mom didn't trust that they were going to teach me the right thing. And I'm like, were you being taught, though,
Starting point is 01:33:49 somewhere else? Who knows? I don't know. I just remember specifically. But did your mom teach you? Right. So is your mom like, I don't want you learning there and I'm going to actually teach you? So she would just rather you learn nothing? No. My parents were not very proactive. I think maybe she thought I was getting it at youth group. Maybe. Weird. Tough place to get it. True love weights.
Starting point is 01:34:05 Do you know there are four seasons, a 13 reasons why? No. Oh, I had no idea. And like the other thing was like who killed Bruce Walker or something like season four. Whoa. Who even knew? What's the deal? Ease pain with a color, they say. from first for women.com, new research reveals you can ease pain by simply looking at a color instead of reaching for pain medicine.
Starting point is 01:34:25 Duke University scientist found that people with chronic pain who wore green tinted glasses cut back on painkiller use and the green tinted glasses helped almost immediately. They also had a significant reduction in anxiety that was related to the pain they were experiencing. I struggle with that one. I mean, there could be some placebo in there, but if placebo is working, it's working. So let me punch you in the shoulder. with no glasses and then we'll have you look at something green
Starting point is 01:34:53 I'll put you in the shoulder tell me which one hurts more okay it's got to be something where like the color tells your brain to not feel that soothing in a way
Starting point is 01:35:02 right unless they're like hey if you wear these green glasses your pain is gonna be lessened and then so you just think it is I don't know yeah exactly I don't believe that
Starting point is 01:35:11 I don't believe that acupuncturist is fine for putting needles in a patient and then going home and napping oh my gosh yeah one time I was left to nap They left the room And two hours later.
Starting point is 01:35:23 Yeah, but you did go to. You went to sleep. I fell asleep, but I didn't know it was going to take two hours. Yeah, that's why I couldn't move. Like once I woke up. You fell asleep is the point here. Yeah, but they left the room. They could have gone to take a nap too, it's my point.
Starting point is 01:35:35 I never saw them. But you don't know if they did, but you fell asleep. Or this one, this acupuncturist, just put it in and went to sleep. You can't do that. Yeah. Now, Iowa acupuncturists is being accused of sleeping on the job. A patient of state board certified acupuncture specialist, Dave Wang, had to call police when Wang inserted needles into him and then went home and took a nap.
Starting point is 01:35:53 Oh my gosh. Went home. Why didn't he just take a nap? Whang? Where are you going, Wang? Why do you have to go home? Like, killing your office. How far are those needles going?
Starting point is 01:36:02 Not very far. And they're small needles, but it doesn't matter. You still are nervous. After waiting an hour and a half for Wang to come back, the patient took the needles out on their own and then called the sheriff's office. The Board of Medicine charged Wang with incompetence, professional incompetence. He ended up with a warning in $500 fine from Des Moines. register. I do have dry
Starting point is 01:36:21 needling done on me sometimes. What's the difference? The acupuncture is a wet needle? The acupuncture is supposedly it never, it's never worked for me. Like Eastern medicine and they poke certain things and then like you poke your foot and your ear feels better. I'm being dramatic.
Starting point is 01:36:37 But dry needling is like if I have like some sort of issue with my forearm, like I mess up my UCL, they go into it to like release that exact muscle. Would you say that's? Yeah, I mean, I've had both done. I feel like they can be pretty similar. But the dry needling, I feel more.
Starting point is 01:36:54 Yeah, I feel like the acupuncture, I barely feel. With acupuncture, I feel like I'm like begging. Or I'm like, I need to believe something. Like. I think acupuncture works, but I believe it. So is it the... Well, if you wear green tint of glasses, then you get acupuncture. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:37:09 Someone's trying to sell a ticket from the final damage plan show for $15,000, which, by the way, damage plan was the show where Dimebag Darrell, was shot and killed. And Dimebag Dural was originally in what band? Pantera. Correct. And so he was shot on stage. He was playing and somebody comes up in the crowd.
Starting point is 01:37:29 Crazy. Oh my God. And so someone's selling the ticket stub for $15,000. What do you want that stub for? You weren't there. A seller on eBay posted a listing with a $14,999 price or best offer. The listing is not an auction. I'm looking at the ticket.
Starting point is 01:37:47 And on the back of it, it's a Christian station of the ticket. Because I'm sure they just have a deal with like the, the ticket company. Okay. Because they just print the tickets off. It's weird. Yeah, that's weird. Man, how about that?
Starting point is 01:37:57 What if you're at that show? Someone just goes up and starts shooting the guitarist. Oh my gosh. It's terrible. That's a wild. A couple's freaked out as the tow truck tries to take a car while the traffic light. Imagine that your traffic light. Toot truck pulls up and starts to try to take a car.
Starting point is 01:38:11 Like you just at a stoplight? Yeah. Why would they do that? Maybe it's only a place you could get it. Joanne, that kept her last name out, said she was out running errands with her husband. And a truck, specialty towing started inching uncomfortably close to her, and then she saw the lever coming down.
Starting point is 01:38:28 Video taken on the street shows the ordeal. Were they getting redoubt? And she believed she was targeted by the driver of the tow truck who sped off on the connection wasn't successful. The company, along with two others, has been charged with fraud and illegally towing parked cars, ABC 7. Oh. So they were just trying to steal. I don't know. I mean, she's in the car.
Starting point is 01:38:45 Yeah, weird. Like, whoopsie. And you know, it's not like you can just get away with that car. There's humans in it. But that would be freaky if the tow truck's putting their lever down while you're just sitting there. Dude, the tow truck has so much power. It does. Like, so much power over everyone.
Starting point is 01:38:59 It's like Supreme Court, you know? Like, if you get towed, you got nothing and you have to pay whatever they tell you. A bakery asked customers to check cookies for a missing ring. A bakery owner in Leavenworth, Kansas is desperate to find her missing wedding ring. It slipped into the cookie dough while she was baking at the shop. Wow. Oof. It's from Metro.
Starting point is 01:39:17 You better hope everyone gets that message. Gross. Before they choke on a ring. Or Biden, break a tooth. Yeah, that sucks. Kately Clark was chosen first by the Indiana fever in the WNBA draft last night. The 22-year-old basketball star who broke records with the Iowa Hawkeyes was selected first overall. And People Magazine with that story, I watched some of it last night.
Starting point is 01:39:33 I've never watched the WNBA draft. But Kailin Clark has such a superstar that I did watch a little bit of it. So congratulations to her. There you go. That's the news. Those were Bobby's Big. Stories. No, everybody's going to roll their eyes.
Starting point is 01:39:49 Bear with, not even me. with Eddie. I'm going to allow him to talk about this a little bit. Eddie has said over and over again he wants to give a kidney right? Like that's a goal. Yeah, man. After hearing tell me something goods, I'm like, I want to do that. He's like, yet he does what? He doesn't do anything.
Starting point is 01:40:07 Nothing, right? Right. He's always like, I'd love to do that, but then he never, we've been through this, like eight times. Eddie, I know you have something you want to say, so go ahead. This is serious, so don't make fun of me. This is a real story. My mom was in town last week and she's got 13 brothers and sisters which is crazy and so every time i talked to her i'm like hey how's everyone doing how are the aunts and uncle's doing and she said wow your uncle's not doing too well he actually got both of his kidneys removed and he's been in and out of the hospital
Starting point is 01:40:34 and living on like dialysis yeah he's gone through dialysis a couple three times but he has no kidneys is he hooked up to a machine no apparently you can live on kidneys and then they just got to drain you whenever stuff just doesn't go well huh i have no idea i'm not educated on this Go ahead. So it clicked. I was like, oh my gosh. Is this it? Is this the sign I've been waiting for?
Starting point is 01:40:56 If you're making a joke, though, and you're almost sick. I'm not making a joke. No, I think he's serious. This is real. I know, but he's done this eight times. I know, but this is his family. Go ahead. And I asked my mom, I'm like, hey, we've got like 30 cousins.
Starting point is 01:41:07 Like, has anyone stepped up to say like, hey, let's try to see if we're all the matches? Like, no, no one's done it. So this is what I want to do? Is this what you want to do or what you're doing? This is what I'm going to do. Oh, I thought he's going to say, Gunna. This is what I'm going to do. Gunna, Gio and the N-A.
Starting point is 01:41:21 Go ahead. I'm going to reach out to all the cousins. Oh. And I'm going to say, let's all get tested to see if we're a match. You're going to get tested. Yes. So I think that's the headline. Let's see if we're a match.
Starting point is 01:41:33 Because... You're going to go get tested. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. It's good to go ahead and just clue to everybody and everybody do it at the same time because it's difficult at times to find a match. So you're rallying.
Starting point is 01:41:43 Right. But do you think your cousins are going to respond in a way of like, yeah, we'll all jump in? Or are they going to be like, oh, I don't know. It's a kidney. I don't know. I haven't talked to him about that. What if three of you match out of the 30?
Starting point is 01:41:54 And then we flip a coin. What do we do? We go to a random generator. Okay, but who's making the rules on that? Well, I guess I'm the leader, right? You're the one doing it and you match. It's going to be you that gives a kidney. Oh, I didn't think about that.
Starting point is 01:42:05 Yeah. You're really going to get tested, though. Yeah. When? I mean, this week, I'm going to have to look into it ASAP because I don't know. And here's the word gets a little tricky. they're being, like my mom said, they're being a little secretive about it,
Starting point is 01:42:19 so they don't have a lot of information. This is not very secret. No, as far as like what his condition is, how bad is it? Does he want a new kidney? I don't know. We don't know if he wants to transplant. So you're going to get tested.
Starting point is 01:42:31 Where do you go to get tested? I'm in the hospital, I guess. You can go to Vandy. I mean, I talk to those ladies that do. Just show up. Show up and be like I'm here to get kidney. Yeah, but they have to have my uncle's information. So I'm going to have to just sort all that out.
Starting point is 01:42:44 You know what? These are the preliminary stages. This is the most legitimate version of this story that you have told. If you're going to say this, though, you've got to follow through. I'm saying it. Okay. Watchbox. I, so let's say you'd not a match for your uncle, but you're a match for someone else.
Starting point is 01:43:01 But then that way you could create a chain. Yes. I don't want you to commit to that. That's not fair. I mean, he's doing it for his uncle. I don't want you to have to be in a spot. I think you should deal with this emotionally all thing, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:14 Just go get tested and see if you match your uncle. This is a big deal. Yeah. It's just you've said this so many times. Right. It's hard for us to go, add our boy. Good job for thinking that and going to do it. I think it's amazing if you do follow through.
Starting point is 01:43:27 I am a coward. And I am not going to get tested because I'm a coward and I'm a loser. Dude, everyone I talk to says you can live off a one kidney perfectly fine for the rest of your life. Why would we all not give a kidney? Probably. Okay, but you have never. And you're saying that. No, that's why I want to.
Starting point is 01:43:44 No, but you're like, why won't everyone? But you haven't yet. And I hope you do, and that's great. And maybe you'll inspire us too. I think there's a down process where you'll be down and out for a while. For what? Selling it? Selling?
Starting point is 01:43:56 No, dude, you donate. It sounds like it's black market deal. You guys want in? No, but the chain thing is real. Absolutely. I agree. You do that, but you've said it so many times. You do that and we'll be waiting.
Starting point is 01:44:09 But he says he doesn't even know of his uncle once. No, I don't know if he has an uncle. Wait, no, I tell him, I had 13, 13 aunts and uncles, dude. But should you ask? Because what if he's like, no, no, I don't want to. Yeah, I mean, I'm telling you this. We just had a conversation with my mom, and that's where we're at. Here we go, Eddie, I got the online application.
Starting point is 01:44:25 I'll send it right over to you. That's the first step. Hop it over to him. Good, Eddie, we're proud of you. Yeah, this is tough. Ish. What do you mean? You just said this a hundred times.
Starting point is 01:44:35 No, no, no. We don't believe you fully yet, but we kind of believe you. This is the first time I'm taking a step towards you. Hey, good. I'm happy. It's amazing. All right, we'll check back in. We'll check back in next week.
Starting point is 01:44:45 I'm nervous now. Did you get the fire pit? You have to set up? Are you good? Oh, I did, and I can do it all on my own. Like, this is part of my new chapter. Independent woman. Me taking care of me and my kids. Amy may be divorced, but she can still rock it like a hurricane.
Starting point is 01:44:59 That's right. So I'm learning how to do things in my yard and create experiences for my kids that I can manage. And yeah, so I got a fire pit. Went to Home Depot, picked it out. It's the perfect size. Like, I can carry it. You carry it?
Starting point is 01:45:11 Yeah, it was in a box. And like it was made, like I could pick it up. I thought you know why I was on fire. I was like, wait, what kind of fire fire are you? No, no, no. There's like larger ones or heavier ones, but this one was perfect for me. And we have this little patio area on the side of our house. And I've always dreamt of it being a fire pit with chairs and smores and kids.
Starting point is 01:45:30 And so now I'm living, living my dream. It's a Hampton Bay Sadler, fire pit, to be specific. Hampton Bay Saddler. And it's not the kind you run around with. Because there's different Hampton Bay. But this one I like because I can carry, move it around myself, and the kids and I, we did it. And it's so fun. Like, it's like a perfect leather.
Starting point is 01:45:50 You can make marshmallows on a fire pit? Yes. Oh, yeah. If you're doing gas. Sure. It's not gas. Got it. Wait, you're getting wood and like starting the fire from scratch?
Starting point is 01:45:58 Yeah, but I got like kindling and I got. Nice. Yes. Dang bear girls. Oh. They make it easy these days. It's not like I'm over there like putting two twigs together. And then I do a lighter.
Starting point is 01:46:10 And then my pro tip for smores is grahamcracker, marshmallow, Reese's cups. Here's my relationship with a smore. I do the first one and I'm like, that's pretty good, but man, it sure is messy. Then I just eat it all individually for the rest of the night. Just marshmallow alone. Yeah, I just eat a few marshmallows, eat a whole chocolate bar.
Starting point is 01:46:28 I let it kind of smore itself inside me. Like I eat it all, like ate a bunch of gram crackers. You create this more in the belly. Yeah, yeah, it makes a smore in there. Yeah, but you're missing out on the experience of like... No, I did that once. And I'm all messy. The hanger like in putting the marshmallow and then pulling the hanger out,
Starting point is 01:46:40 perfectly and pushing it down. Like you're letting your stomach taste the s'm more. That's okay. My mouth still got the ingredients. You go to Home Depot like Amy and this year get your spring delivered. The Home Depot has free delivery on over 2 million items and fast same day delivery on things that you need now,
Starting point is 01:46:56 giving you more time to spring your way only at the Home Depot. Bobby Bone Show. Boney of the day. This story comes us from Southfield, Michigan. A 31-year-old man walked in Chapulte, ordered a bowl, said, hey, can I add some guac on there? And the guy said, there's... Guac is always controversial.
Starting point is 01:47:17 It's always controversial. It is? Yeah, because Guwok's extra. Yeah. And I don't know what the story is. People don't know that. Go ahead, lunchbox. He's probably about to freak out because it's extra.
Starting point is 01:47:26 A 31-year-old man said, what do you mean it's going to be extra? I knew it. Oh, wow. I knew it. You can't be charging me extra for guac? People have this. They just assume guac's free. He pays for his meal.
Starting point is 01:47:37 The employee goes to the back. Customer follows one behind the counter. shoots him in the leg. What? Oh my good. Oh my God. And so it really wasn't about the guac.
Starting point is 01:47:45 It's about the guac. But it was about the guac. Well, it started with guac and then disrespect happened. Shot him in the leg. Shot him in the leg.
Starting point is 01:47:52 All over guac. No. Over disrespect. No. The gwax. The gullas. Yeah. What in the world?
Starting point is 01:48:00 And no word if he got to eat the guac or not. Probably not. He probably got all the guac you wanted for a minute. He probably got unlimited guac for like,
Starting point is 01:48:07 I don't know, three and a half minutes. And then he will not get any Gwok anymore. That might be his nickname in prison, though. Gwak? Hey, Gwarki. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. You have a job outside of, like, this industry
Starting point is 01:48:22 that you envy? You're like, dang, I wish I did that job. It can't be anything in media. Nothing immediate. What about acting in media? Yeah. I want to do, oh, dang. I'd like to be an astronaut. That's cool. Yes, I would. I would. I would love to me. You never once said you wanted to be an astronaut.
Starting point is 01:48:40 You haven't asked me this question this year. Okay. What are you kidding? This year you wanted to become an astronaut like it's shipped? No, because I don't really want to go to space, but I just think it would be cool to be around all of that. And a part of it. And a part of NASA. Space and stuff.
Starting point is 01:48:57 No way. No way. Sounds miserable. And I don't believe her. Any envy job? Yeah, yeah. And this happened recently. I drove by this hotel and they had a sign that said, like, employees needed.
Starting point is 01:49:09 And I said, man, that'd be kind of crazy. cool to work in a hotel and be the greeter. I'm like, you guys good? You guys got everything you need? Like to work the counter? Well, not really the check-in person, but the guy that walks around. Who's the suit? Hospitality. The, what's that job called? It's got the funny name. Concierge.
Starting point is 01:49:26 That'd be cool, too. Lunchbox anything? I mean, I would like to be the beer vendor at a sporting place. Like, ice cold beer here! Beer here! I mean, that would be awesome. You literally could do that. Yeah, yeah, but I, I would like,
Starting point is 01:49:40 I mean, I'm saying if I didn't have this job. No, you, okay. No, no, but I don't want to do it. Like, I don't want to do it, but you said I'd have to do something outside of this. Exactly. What about you? I mean, being a pro athlete would be awesome. Wait.
Starting point is 01:49:53 Right, I forgot about that. I forgot about that one. I can't. I can't work at NASA. I'm closer to being a pro athlete than you are an astronaut. I don't know. What? No, guys.
Starting point is 01:50:03 I'm way closer to being a pro athlete than she is an astronaut. She can never be an astronaut. I could become a pro bowl or not. A monkey went into space. Like, that's a little easier than it. Oh, I have to have skills as a monkey to go up. Hello, I have skills, Joel. No, you're a monkey.
Starting point is 01:50:18 No. Like Eddie said, you're a monkey. The top 10 most envy jobs. Cheese artisan at 10, video game developer at 9. Environmental scientists at 8. Social media influencer at 7. Craft Brewer at 6. Nice.
Starting point is 01:50:31 I would have thought Kraft Brewer would have been up your alley more lunchbox instead of beer vendor. Maybe he's been eating over. Man, that's a lot of science to be able to mix and match. But if you just have a lot of. of skills. Guys, it's not, it's not real. Number five, obviously. It's like a dream.
Starting point is 01:50:45 Monkey astronaut. Yeah, obviously. Number five, vineyard manager. Number four, luxury real estate agent. Number three, adventure tour guide. Number two, chocolatier. Oh, that'd be huge. That'd be amazing.
Starting point is 01:50:54 That's a job. Although I'd probably not like, yeah. I'd probably not like chocolate then if I was a chocolatier. Sure. Number one, wildlife photographer. Oh, that'd be cool. That'd be kind of cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:51:07 I'm far closer to being a professional athlete. she is an astronaut. Why? Because just how far removed. I could probably, again, train to be a bowler. I think anybody can be a bowler if you just train enough. So now we're talking about being a pro-bowler. Athlete. Like a golfer, like a golfer or that would actually be harder. I'd be like pickleball, even though that's really tough. There's no way she's going to space. Unless she pays Bezos. Not all astronauts go to space. Oh, good points. Also, you want to be an astronaut on the ground? You want a desk job? Space kind of scares me, but I could go.
Starting point is 01:51:40 up a little bit. Amy's like I want to be a bodybuilder. I mean, I don't lift that much weight. I just want to... I just want to... I just think it would be cool to be like, I work at NASA. Well, it would be cool to say I work at NASA. Or I'm part of the space force. But you could be part of the janitorial staff. Space force. Space force is different than NASA, though.
Starting point is 01:51:56 All I know is I think it's the military. That's the military. And to be like, this is where I work. If I get to choose anything that I want to be, it would be really awesome to say you work at NASA. My ex-nefew How do you say that? You used to be married your nephew?
Starting point is 01:52:12 No, no. Weird. Okay. My husband, you know, his nephew, he married someone that worked at NASA, and I always thought that was so cool. It is cool. No, it's really cool. Like, I'd be like, she works at NASA. Yeah, that's really cool.
