Come on, Bobby.
Welcome to Tuesday show.
Morning, studio.
Morning.
We go over and talk to Erica, Maryland.
Good morning.
What's going on?
I have been listening to you guys for a while.
And a while ago, you guys had a little, like, question in one of your bits about how you put your socks and shoes on.
And like most people, you put your socks on both feet and then you put your shoes on each foot.
Well, of course, lunchbox was different.
And he put socks shoe and then sock shoe.
And I remember thinking, what is so weird.
Nobody does that.
Well, I guess now I'm the weird person because my child now wear socks and shoes, now that she's old enough.
and I put her sock shoe on, and then I switch her foot, and I put her sock shoe on.
And I was like, oh, man, I can't call lunchbox crazy because then I'm calling myself crazy.
Well, if you don't do it to yourself.
Yeah, that's different.
And then secondly, if you're putting it on somebody else, I do think it's different because you're going to do them both while you're there.
But think about this, lunchbox does go, sock shoe, sock shoe, on a zone.
What if you get sock shoe on, and then all of a sudden they're like, we got to clear the place, and you just run out.
Long, go, go, go, go.
Lipp it.
You're one side's taller than the other.
At least if you do it the other way, you got a better chance to be able to be fleet of
foot, you know? Well, at least you have one shoe
on. Would you rather have no shoes on when the fires
go? I don't, because then you're catching on fire. No way. Erica,
you're not crazy. If I'm putting it on a child, I'm probably going to do
sock shoe, sock shoe, and then I'm going to hope that child doesn't turn into a
psycho killer. And I would know they were a psycho killer if they still went
sock shoe on their own. Every time you're doing it, tell your child,
I'm only doing it this way for you. When you grow up, you go sock, sock,
sock shoe shoe. Exactly. Erica, thank you.
I called, now you guys make me feel better. I'm not crazy. You're not crazy.
And thank you for listening.
And I hope you have an awesome day.
Thank you.
All right, see you later.
All right, let's go around the room.
Everybody's got a little something here.
His kids, some of them are older, but they still call him Daddy.
He's my best friend.
And this week, he is my catty because we're in Northern California.
Let's go.
Here is producer Eddie, everybody.
Let me run this by you guys.
See if it's okay.
I was at the grocery store checking out.
And the bagger lady, the lady that's putting stuff in the bag,
she's talking about how she loves Jimmy Allen.
She's such a Jimmy Allen fan.
And oh my gosh, his new song's so good.
Just randomly?
She's talking to the cashier.
Like they're having a conversation.
And I'm just standing there as they're checking out my groceries.
And I'm thinking, I have Jimmy's number.
Like, I coach his sons.
But, you know, he's in our basketball team.
Like, he's in our basketball team.
Like, I wonder how cool it would be if I just FaceTime Jimmy and be like, hey, talk to this lady real quick.
Like, would that be cool or is that annoying for Jimmy?
Did you do it?
No, I didn't do it.
I thought about it.
I mean, this is the guy that, who did you call?
when their song was playing in a bar.
Gavin DeGroar. They texted him, though. Whatever.
It's different than a FaceTime.
But it would make this lady's like year.
I wouldn't have done it because you're not super close.
That's true. We're not super, super close.
But you do know him. We all know him.
Yeah. His son's on your basketball team. He helps you coach sometimes.
He's my boy?
Yeah, I think you're not quite to that level.
Damn. Like you, no problem.
I probably wouldn't do Jimmy.
Jimmy and I are cool. We have some stuff coming out together soon.
No, I think he was saying you.
Like I can FaceTime.
I've done that before.
Nobody cares.
No, I've done that before.
Like, we're like, hey, somebody really wants to talk to you.
It's like your sister.
She's like, you want me 12 bucks from we're 25.
That's true.
So it's a bit different there.
Yeah, I think that's, no.
I think that's a no.
I've done that before to Brett Eldridge, where I was in his show.
And some girl comes up to me, two girls are full of my.
We're huge fans of you.
And I was like, oh, thanks.
I said, so you're here at the Brett show.
They're like, we've been like 27 shows.
We like him better than you, something like that.
And so I just FaceTime.
him real quick because he was in the back.
And I was like, hey man, they're like, oh my God.
The problem is they message me later and they were like on Instagram.
They're like, can you, can you take us back to meet him in real life?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, so you're never good enough.
So I didn't really mind doing that because even if you got annoyed, that's okay.
Yeah.
That's what you do to your friends.
You annoy them.
I wasn't really thinking about Jimmy in the situation.
I was like, how cool with this.
Yeah.
And Eddie's immediately blocked.
Yeah.
No, you did the right move.
But that was nice to think about.
Man, I thought that would have been awesome.
It would, yes.
You just have to have that relationship.
I know. I'm working on that.
All right. Let's go over to lunchbox.
He rides his bike to work so he can save on gas.
He also was voted the biggest client of his class.
Here he is, lunchbox.
So a couple months ago, I went to a restaurant to pick up some food,
and it said closed, I believe, at 9 p.m.
And I got there before 9 p.m.
And guess what? It was closed.
Remember him coming in?
Yeah, I brought the audio.
Oh, the old audio.
Yeah, I got the audio.
Let me see.
Oh, I can't get any food.
How do you guys do this?
You say you're open until 9 o'clock.
You say you're open until 9.
It's not 9.
It is 8.43 freaking p.m.
What the crap?
A valid point.
I would expect it.
I probably wouldn't.
You wouldn't make that scene.
You could see the employees in there.
I wouldn't do that.
But you can see them in there all just looking at their phones.
I don't know what's happened though.
Like maybe, I don't know, regardless.
Yeah, but guess what?
You know what, Bobby always says?
Karma wins in the end.
I don't say that.
I literally don't.
I'm not a big karma guy.
Well, karma wins.
in the end, guys, because I drove by
the restaurant yesterday, guess what?
Stop it.
Out of business.
Bye-bye.
Go on.
See you later.
You're happy the business.
It is gone.
Nothing there.
No sign, no furniture.
It's an empty space in the shopping center.
So when you close early, that's what you get.
Karma got you, fools.
Dang.
I feel like now you're being excited about their
misfortune is bad karma back on you.
That's true.
No, it's not.
Do you believe in karma?
It's not bad karma.
Do you believe in karma?
You're celebrating.
someone else's loss.
How do you know that somebody didn't die that night and they had to close?
Or how do you know they didn't run a mind?
Because they were all just standing around chatting and looking at their phones.
They weren't looking like sad and crying.
Okay, well, I'm sorry that happened to the restaurant.
Why are you sorry?
If they would stay open their normal hours, maybe they'd get more business, they'd be able to stay open.
But instead they still fired up.
They closed their doors and guess what.
Pinae Pina Pina Pina Pato.
Tico's.
Tensepe tacos.
Next, she has a career in radio and his mom, too.
But last year, one of her favorite highlights was making her acting debut.
That's Amy, everybody.
Okay, so the future is cool, but also the future is hard
because things like touchless elevators now exist.
So you don't have to, like, actually touch any buttons.
Is that because of COVID or were they already doing that?
I think they were already doing that.
That's pretty cool.
It's awesome.
Right?
Except for, I don't know what's wrong with my hands,
but I couldn't get my fingers to just pick the one button I needed on the floor.
You would hover?
Well, I was trying to be specific, but then it can.
kept picking all these other buttons.
And I'm like, these are not the floor.
I don't want to go to.
And then this guy was on the elevator with us.
I was with my son.
He had a doctor's appointment.
And the guy goes like, you know, they're touchless, but you can also just touch them.
Oh, they're not only touch them.
That's funny.
So then I hit the floor only I wanted to go to.
And I was like, thank you very much.
I can't make fun of you because I'd probably done the same thing.
And I'm like, dang, I angle my hand differently.
From Mount Pine, Arkansas.
He's a big movies at home guy.
And during the holidays, he'll kill a pop.
I, Bobby Bones.
Thank you very much.
I do want to say something.
We get so many messages in this segment
at the front of our podcast,
which I hope you listen to
after the show is over,
Bobby Bones show,
search for it.
We can't put live performances on this
because if we do, we'll get sued.
We would love to.
We'd love to.
If an artist comes in a place,
we would love to put it on.
But we can't because we will get sued
because the music rights.
It's not our pick.
I would even do it
and let the company get sued
and be like, your problem.
But they will hold that against me.
Yeah, they don't like that.
So that's why.
You can stop yelling at me
because we can't put a performance on.
I swear to you, I would love to.
It's one of our,
but we do put them on YouTube.
You can see them if you're like,
I really would like to see that performance
because this week we have a lot of great performances.
Our Bobby Bone Show YouTube has every performance
because YouTube has paid for the music right.
Morgan?
Well, it's that YouTube basically claims the,
allows the songwriters to claim a right to it,
so the songwriters get paid when we put it up.
And so we're not using studio.
It's complimentary.
I want to sue us too.
Okay, so YouTube, you can watch the performances.
Bobby, don't show YouTube, but you can't listen on the podcast.
But we do put everything up on the podcast from the show, and I hope you check it out and you follow.
But that's what's up.
Let's open up the mailbag.
You send an email, and we read it on the air.
It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag.
Hello, Bobby Bones, my fiancee, and his friends just went on a bachelor trip.
While there, one of the guys ended up hooking up with a girl.
Kicker, he has a girlfriend.
They've been together for a while and this guy has even told us he wants to propose.
Well, they're supposed to stay with us while they come down for our wedding.
How am I supposed to go about my business?
Stay in my yard.
Star my own chilly while they're here and in my house.
Is that something the girlfriend needs to know?
Thanks so much.
Signed, disappointed bride.
It does get a little trickier that they're staying with them.
But still, unless she's a close friend of yours,
it's chili you probably shouldn't go wading your feet in.
That's right.
If it's your friend, you tell her.
If he is your close friend, you tell him you know,
and that you're going to be watching,
and you can't do that crap.
But it doesn't sound like he is her close friend
or she even knows the girlfriend that well.
So there's a bowl of chili.
You see the chili.
You do see it.
It smells good.
And sometimes you want to get a little taste.
But that ain't yours.
It's like food in the fridge with a different name on it
You know
But you don't eat it
You can't eat it, it ain't yours
So you don't say anything
You can say something to your fiancee
Yeah
Because it's obviously his close friend
Yeah, they're friends
But you can go hey
I don't want you hanging out with people
If they're going to keep making decisions like this
Like it really hurt
You don't have to say don't hang out with him anymore
But you can say it really hurts me
That you were with a situation
Did you know why didn't you stop it?
Yeah
It's not his responsibility
It's not his spot to go to date.
But he's a friend though.
But yeah, but the fiancé or wife, whatever,
she's fiance going to be wife,
going to him and saying, why didn't you stop it?
No, no, no.
That's not the question.
She can have the conversation.
Let's say we go on my bachelor trip
and Ray Mundo decides to hook up with some girl.
We went to Fayetteville, did a whole deal.
Basketball, football, went to ball, everything.
And if, and this didn't happen at all, 0%.
That's why I say Ray, because it didn't happen.
Ray's like, thank you.
Ray's turning white.
Well,
If Ray had done something, I think Caitlin would ring my neck and go,
why didn't you stop him from doing that?
I think she would have every right.
But no, but you can't go to, and you tell Caitlin, I am not Ray's keeper.
And that's true.
I'm not responsible for what he does.
He makes his own decisions.
That's true.
But if I'm with them, I could be like, yo, bro, you've had too much to drink.
You just come back.
And that's friendship right there.
Well, you can say that.
And then maybe the guy said that.
And he's like, no, dude, I'm good.
But we don't know.
We're assigning stories to stories.
Here we go.
And Ray did not happen.
Thank you.
Well, and then also, back to the email, something that she said in there, too,
like you also can set a boundary and they don't have to stay at your house.
Oh, that's tough now, though, this late.
No, no, no, no.
I don't mean you say anything or reason behind it,
but it might be very awkward for her to, you know, be having coffee one morning with her
and just be having that.
You can stay on your side of the street and don't do it,
but you do can tell your person, like, is there anywhere else they could stay?
As bros, I would never do that.
You can't do that.
They've already planned to come for the wedding.
money.
And maybe on The Bachelor party, she gave him permission to do whatever.
So you don't even get in that chill.
That's what I'm saying.
Like Bobby said, it's not your chili.
So don't stir it.
Leave it alone.
Don't put a cracker in it.
Don't stir it.
Don't put cheese.
Like, don't do anything.
Don't add a baked potato to the side.
Just get away from the chili.
Tendrone chili.
That's right.
Thank you.
I know it stinks.
I'm sorry that happened.
It ain't your business.
We've got your email and we read it on your air.
Now it's about to close.
Bobby's mail back.
Yeah.
Abby, what's happening at your house?
Okay, my neighbors are doing something that's driving me insane.
What?
So I keep my trash on the side of my house, and I live in like a, it's townhome.
So they're very close together, a ton of neighbors.
And I was taking my trash to the street, and I looked down, there are like 20, I'm not even
kidding, 20 piles of dog poop.
And it is like, very large dog poop.
So it's like, yeah, I'm going to step in it if I'm walking.
And I'm just like, how do you let your dog?
out and not do anything about it.
Especially where people are obviously walking a whole lot.
Yes.
Not like in the woods.
Right.
Or like the woods of a park, right?
Uh-huh.
And also, it's got to be a big dog then.
Yes, it does.
Do you think you know the neighbor that's doing it?
So here's the thing.
There's like three houses on the left of me that I'm not, I don't see them that often.
And I don't know who the dog belongs to.
But I came out once and there was just a random dog in my yard.
And I was like, oh, no, are you lost?
And then I heard a guy from his backyard be like, how, how?
you know, Sparky, come here.
Sparky.
I don't know.
I just made that up.
And so I think it is one of them.
So what do you want to do?
What do you need to do?
That's what I'm debating, what I should do.
Because I was really annoyed last night, and I got, I went on my table, and I started writing
notes.
And I was like, I'm in this unit.
And I was like, okay, I need to calm down.
And I was just going to put it on all of their doors.
But how many doors would you put it on max?
Because you'd think it could possibly be them.
I would say four.
I think it's one of the four closest to me.
And what would you say in the note?
I was going to be like, I'm in number, whatever.
If you are letting your dog off the leash and pooping in my yard,
could you either pick it up or keep your dog in your own yard?
Thank you.
If this doesn't concern you, sorry.
Thank you.
Were you going to be that aggressive?
At first it was pretty aggressive, but then it got a little nicer at the end.
Yeah.
Yeah, you back down a little bit.
Well, no, it's not backing down.
I think you should first fight with gentleness.
kindness. But yeah, I would be irritated too.
Lunchbuck, what would you do? Look, I mean, dogs go poop. That's what happened.
Oh, you do nothing. Yeah, I would do nothing. And giving them your unit number is just going
to make people even more mad. And then they can target you. That's a good point, though.
You could just do it in the middle of the night, cover your face, and we're all black.
And go put it on the doors. Yeah. And I just think you're overreacting.
Hold a crowbar while you do it. Yeah. I think you're overreacting.
dog poop happens, it goes away, it's natural, and it does not go away.
It doesn't really go away. And it's not fertilized, but it's not the same thing.
Eddie, what would you do?
Guys, we're in the age of cameras.
It's time to get a camera and find out who's doing this and then have that footage.
Once you identify the person, boom!
Here you are! You're doing it. Stop it right now.
Scoob, I wonder if we could get with one of those companies that do dog poop DNA.
Oh yeah, I forgot which dog is.
And just have Abby grabs some of the dog poop.
We get it tested.
Guys, we know it's sparky.
It is sparking, I think.
That's how I'm not positive.
But we don't have any of the DNA on hand, so we don't know which dog.
No, but it tells you what kind of dog it is.
Yeah, you can figure it out from that.
It does.
It tells you the breed.
Okay.
I think you're attacking the dog.
Okay, because I was like, well, how is you going to collect?
I think it's the hair.
You have to get the dog's hair.
Oh.
No, that's not true.
Okay.
Because they do dog poop DNA tests.
Okay, well, then grab it and let's do it.
I have plenty to choose from, so I can do that.
Amy, what would you do?
I would try to approach it in a, in a kind way, so that way,
I'm not, like lunchbox.
Like, I feel like if you were to approach lunchbox with this,
he comes back with more.
Like, I don't want to create, ask.
He starts feeding on fiber bars, the dog.
Yes.
Like, I don't want anybody to come back with a vengeance.
So somehow I need to do it, find a kind way to get it done.
I could see myself writing a note,
but I would stay anonymous,
definitely would not put my unit number at all whatsoever.
And put one on your own door.
Don't be the only one that doesn't have one.
You got to put one on your own door too.
So it's like if you were,
gonna rob a place, but you were inside. You also got to shoot yourself in the shoulder.
Since that's the dumping spot, can you just leave a note there? That's what I thought.
On the ground. It can blow away.
No, you glue it to a steak and you stick in there. You guys are out of control. It's dog poop.
So here's the situation about these dog DNA tests. How they do them, if it's like a HOA, all the dogs have to register and get swabbed.
And then they go pick it up and they know which dog's poop it is. So you can't just get poop and it takes you to spark.
Unless you go door to door and swab all the dogs.
Oh look, can I pet him?
You pull a Q-tip out.
You hit him with that swab.
That's the thing I never see.
They don't let the dog, they don't take the dog for a walk.
So they only let him out in the backyard.
They let him wander around, poop in my yard, and then he goes back in.
I would put the notes on the doors.
I would be very kind.
I would say, hey, there seems to have been an issue of dogs pooping.
Could you please make sure you pick it up?
Thank you.
And put one on your own door.
And you can sign it like property manager.
Well, you can't lie.
Oh, you can.
I would.
She is the property manager of her property.
That's true.
But I think I would do notes.
Unless there's like a Facebook group or email address.
There is a Facebook group.
Or you can sign it.
You can sign it police department.
No, that's really lying.
I like that.
Might as well go FBI.
Yeah.
I don't think there's anything wrong with a note, but I would do it when you think they're not going to see it.
And I would put one on your door to.
Or Abby, this is what I would do.
If it's me, I'm going second level, I get,
You get one of your friends to do it.
They won't recognize it all.
And like you see them here at work or whatever,
and you give them the notes.
They drive over, they put them on the doors,
and they leave, and they're never seen again,
and it's also not you.
Yeah.
Ooh, okay.
I like that.
And then keep a gun.
Always.
I'm ready.
All right, Abby, let us know, okay?
I will.
Thank you.
That is awful.
They shouldn't do that,
especially there in a walking area.
That's what I thought.
All right.
Thank you guys.
It's time for the good news.
With producer Eddie.
Say, I'll make something good.
Jennifer Sievers, she lives in Kansas City, and she's been a season ticket holder for 10 years of the Kansas City Chiefs.
So a few weeks ago, she's at the Chiefs Jaguars game.
The Chiefs score, she gets excited.
Knocks her glasses off.
They fall underneath her seat.
She's like, oh, my gosh, wear my glasses.
She's looking for her glasses, and she sees a cat.
Like a cat?
A kitten.
Like a stray kitten that's underneath her seat.
During the game, she's like, what is this?
Well, lucky for her.
She's a veterinarian.
So she's like, this is crazy.
This is fate, and here she is talking about what happened.
Lift up my coat that had been on top of my bag,
and I just see these terrified orange eyes staring at back at me.
My husband took off his scarf, and we took off our gloves,
and kind of put it in there, so she'd be comfortable and warm.
So like I said, she's a veterinarian,
so she took it home for a couple days,
and then Monday morning she went to work, and they made sure the cat's okay.
Can we guess the name before you get to it, though?
Yes, go ahead.
Because it's got to be something,
Chiefs related. I'd probably call it like Pat the Cat, like Patrick, Pat the Cat, because it rhymes.
Like this Pat, Pat the Cat.
Andy reads the coach, Patrick.
Or just like Chief.
Chief is good.
Or like Kansas.
Casey.
Are we close at all?
You were close for a minute.
Patrick?
No.
Patrick the Catrick?
No.
Go with the coach.
Oh, Andy Reed.
And read.
When the cat's kind of like a sandy color, so they want to.
went with Sandy Reed.
That's funny.
Yeah.
They got Sandy Reed, but that's good.
Sandy Reed after the head coach of the Kansas City cheese.
And it's their cat now?
Well, no, so they gave it to an animal shelter and it's up for adoption.
So people can adopt it if they want it.
Oh, that's good.
Yeah.
Yeah, people know about it too, so it'll get adopted for sure.
Sandy Reed, that's good.
All right, there you go.
That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
It's time for the hardest game that we play.
Never going to get it.
On the phone.
Brittany and Pennsylvania, who's on the phone.
well, well, well. Brittany, good morning to you.
Good morning.
We're going to give you a chance here to win a $50 gift card to Sonic,
and all you have to do is get it.
Or have somebody on the show get it as we play,
never going to get it. Let's go.
Now, Brittany, I'm going to give you the question,
and you can answer it first,
and you don't have to get it right to keep going,
but just throw an answer out there.
25% of Americans say they do this purposeful normal thing.
It's a healthy thing, at least once a week.
25% Americans say they purposefully do this very normal, very healthy thing at least once a week.
What is it?
Brittany, you get to go first.
Go ahead.
I want to say workout.
Okay, workout.
It's a good answer.
That's too obvious.
And you guys have workout?
No.
No.
Workout is a great answer, but it's not the right answer here.
25% of Americans say they purposefully do this normal, healthy thing at least once a week.
Now, let's hear from the show and how confident they are.
Amy?
Pretty good.
Yeah.
lunchbox? Oh great. Solid, solid answer.
Eddie? No, not very confident at all.
Really? Mm-mm. I'm a guess. I have a guess, but I'm not very confident.
Morgan? I feel really good. Okay. Lunchbox and Morgan both feel really good. Amy,
you feel pretty good, and Eddie, it just wants to go home. Not good at all.
Okay, Brittany, so you get to pick one of them now to represent you. Who would you like it to be?
I'm going with Morgan.
Amy, what'd you have? Eat a salad. Lunchbox? Floss teeth. Eddie? Ride a bike.
Morgan, you are the one that said you are very confident, and she picked you.
What is your answer?
I know.
I have Aewees as well.
I have eat a salad.
Yeah, not a lot of people choose to.
I get some greens.
But then you don't understand that.
Salad dressing is not as healthy as you think.
That's the problem.
A vinaigarette, though.
Yeah, or lemon.
You're not talking about that.
Whatever.
If you're dumping a whole bottle of ranch.
Hey, hey, don't argue for them.
I know they answer.
They're incorrect.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Ride a bike.
Ride a bike.
Let's go.
You two, gober's wrong, too.
Wait, we are?
Yeah.
Oh, is it?
Hold on.
So you all are back in the game here.
So because she has one more shot.
Brittany, I'm going to let them write one more answer down.
And you can pick.
And if you say yes, if any of them get it, you win.
If you say no, you want none of them to get it, okay?
Can you say a question one more time?
25% of Americans say they purposefully do this normal, healthy thing, at least once a week.
Got it.
What is it?
And you're all playing basically as a team, but you're not working together right now.
Oh.
Okay.
I got it.
Amy, it's early in the morning.
That wouldn't be the answer?
Amy, I had that earlier.
You did?
Yeah, but I didn't, I don't have anything about what you're talking about.
Hey, Brittany, do you think one of them will get it?
Yes or no?
No.
Okay, she said no.
So if any of you get it, she's a loser.
Yeah.
You're a loser, baby.
So why don't you kill?
No, don't do that.
Amy, what do you have?
Have a date night.
Lunchbox.
It's not healthy.
Hey guys, I'm the king of this.
Take a nap.
25% Americans say they purposefully do this normal healthy thing at least once a week.
Oh!
Eddie?
Let's get out of the house and take a walk.
Morgan.
No screen time.
Like, they purposely set away their phone.
Okay, Morgan and Amy, you're both wrong.
Okay.
Yeah.
Hey, here we are again.
I will let's go.
Lunchbox, your answer was?
Take a nap.
Eddie, your answer was.
Go for a walk.
Okay.
Now, Brittany.
If you want to change it to you think that they got it, I'll let you switch, or you can stay with no.
Because you have take a nap and take a walk.
Go for a walk.
Take a walk falls under this going, you know, working out type thing.
No.
No, not really.
You could clear your head, take a walk.
Yes.
Yeah.
But Tiffany.
Oh, okay.
So it's cleared your head and take a lock.
Yeah, you've got to say clear a head and work out.
No, I'm still going to say no.
Oh, you're not going to go a nap.
Are you nuts?
Eddie.
Yeah.
You're wrong.
Oh.
Give him one more chance to change.
And she wants to go to Sonic.
She wants to go to Sonic.
Guys, you guys been hating on my naps.
25% of America agrees with me.
Brittany, you sure you want to stay with?
Lunchbox did not get it.
I absolutely do want to stay with.
He did not get it.
I love her confidence.
Oh, my goodness.
What is her name?
Brittany.
Brittany.
Oh, boo boo, boo, Brittany.
You're going to be booing all the way home.
And I'll be eating Sonic.
Lunchbox.
Yeah.
Take a nap is the wrong answer.
Yeah.
Brittany is our winner.
So what in the world is it?
Cry.
25% of Americans.
Dang it, Amy, that should be right up your alley.
Amy, you do that.
No, I was thinking just once.
Five times a week.
25% of Americans
that they purposefully do this normal, healthy thing
at least once a week.
It is cry.
Crying is healthy, huh?
And Brittany is our winner.
One more time.
Nice job, Britney.
Good job at having no faith in these suckers.
Brittany, stay on the phone.
We will get you your prize.
All right, thank you.
That is never going to get it.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me,

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield.
And in this new season of The Girlfriends,
Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care.
So they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no.
I vowed. I will be his last target.

Woo.
My dad gave me the best advice ever.
I went and had lunch with them one day.
And I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot.
I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings.
I'm working my way up through.
And I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet.
Yeah.
He goes, but there's so much luck involved.
And he's like, just give it a shot.
He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Just hang in there.
Yeah.
It would not be...
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot of luck.
Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcast.
It's a Bobby Bones show interview.
In case you didn't know.
Charles Kelly from Lady A.
He's born in Augusta, Georgia, 1981.
One of the lead singers of the group.
Now, Lady A, as you know, has a bunch of number ones.
They have 11, as a matter of fact.
But just in case you need to know, here is downtown.
And I don't know why it don't take me downtown.
But all their number ones is nothing.
If you don't add in all the number ones he's written for other artists.
For example, Luke Brian, do I?
Or Darius, homegrown honey.
Or Brett Young here tonight.
He's like 6'7.
Again, from Lady A.
Let's welcome in Charles Kelly.
On the Bobby Bone Show now.
Charles Kelly.
Charles, how are you, my friend?
I'm good, man.
You know, it's kind of a, I don't say weird, but you know, you wrote this song and it's very serious, like meaningful song, but also like I like you as a friend and you're funny.
And it's like, well, we're going to get into a couple things here.
But, you know, it's like, what do we do here?
Am I going to be this, am I going to have my word vomit like usually?
Well, how do you feel?
Just generally, how do you feel today as compared to yesterday as compared to a year ago?
Yeah.
I mean, it's a journey.
I mean, I think with anything, I mean, it was.
was, you know, I think it was obvious to a lot of people. I mean, it was time, you know, it was,
it wasn't fun anymore for me. Um, I think the last three years, it just had gotten to this point
where it had escalated and it was, you know, I had to do it. Like it wasn't even like I, you know,
like I was getting any joy out of it. I was, it was just became a crutch, you know, so, um,
I mean, everything has gotten infinitely better. I mean, do I not like to go to a cocktail party?
that's really awkward for me.
You know, if I'm going to be around drinking,
I need to have like something I'm doing,
whether it's a dinner or like golf,
you know, I can have buddies around me drinking.
But at least for now, you know,
I'm a little over six months in,
but just waking up and enjoying the mornings.
I feel like I get to say I'm a sober dad now.
You know, I'm way more present for him.
You feel healthy body-wise?
Yeah, yeah.
I've lost about 15 pounds and working out every day.
Where did that come from the 15 pounds?
Was it just not drinking or you shifting?
Both.
Both.
I mean, I think you go through a whole new mind.
said, you know, it's funny I was thinking about the other day, like, I knew it. I knew something
was going to have to happen, you know, and I was just like waiting. And luckily, you know, I didn't
lose it all, but I almost did. I mean, my marriage was kind of really, really shaky. The band
definitely was concerned. And I was like, something's going to happen. What is going to happen? Am I going to
get pulled over? Am I going to get, do something awful? And it just eventually was like, why am I
waiting for some giant disaster, you know.
So, but it's been unbelievable, man.
I mean, my wife and his relationship has turned around 180.
I mean, I think I just, she's always concerned for me, you know, and you would say some
of the worst things to the one that loves you the most, you know, and I think just for that,
you know, that was my first goal with doing this.
It was like, I need to save my marriage and be there for my boy.
And then it was like, okay, now what's the next challenge?
how do I get, how do my, how do my bandmates trust me again moving forward?
And that took some time.
And I've dealt with addiction and, you know, alcoholism to a different level,
but it's run rampant to my family and kill people.
And so from a different, we're looking at the same, like, genesis and actions,
but from different places.
And with my mom, she tried, but I didn't feel like she was ever fully committed herself.
was trying for other people.
Yeah.
And there's a difference.
When you try for other people, you, she tended, I'll speak for her to give up a little quicker
because she wasn't doing it for herself ever.
That's such a, I mean, in the beginning, it's funny you said that it wasn't until, you know,
I won't go into the details of the work I've been doing, but it's a lot of work.
And I think that was something that it took me a few months after, you know, putting the
bottle down to actually be like, I've got to do this for me.
Like in the beginning, it totally was, I'm trying to save my marriage.
I'm trying to save my band.
And in my career, you know, and then all of a sudden it was like, I got to do this for me.
And I started feeling better, started getting my confidence back.
I started feeling more purpose.
I think that's where this song kind of came from.
I was like, you know, I want this to mean something.
I want this journey to mint something, you know, and something good can come out of it.
But it's weird, man.
I just feel like I had a great run, 25 years.
I'd say the first 20 years of it, you know.
it's kind of like what the song says.
It was like, you're part of my story.
It was like, you took me places.
I mean, I don't know if I would have ever moved to Nashville
if I didn't have some drunken night the night before
and was so miserable.
And I was like, got up and it's like, I'm going, you know.
And I'm not saying that's a, you know,
I'm not trying to justify it, but it was like so many little moments,
you know, I first met my wife.
I had a little liquid courage.
And there's nothing wrong with, you know, drinking.
I just am the type of guy that I'm going to take it to the next level.
I mean, I remember going to dinners with Dave, and he'd be like, I was one glass of wine.
I was like, you literally can just have one glass of wine.
Like, how do you do that?
That's how I feel, too.
Like, how do you do anything?
Like, once I want, once one, I'm going.
And so it was just obvious.
I mean, all the signs were there.
And it is.
It's an interesting journey.
And I think I was blown away at, like, how many people, you know, could relate that weren't even addicts themselves, you know, or alcoholics.
It's just the family touches everybody.
family members and all this stuff.
And, you know, that was kind of, too, what I keep telling myself with this song.
It's like, I don't know what journey it's going to take, but all I know is it feels authentic and it feels true.
It already feels like it's, you know, it's spoken to people.
And I mean, gosh, that's what we got into this for, was to have some songs like that.
And, you know, to write songs like that as writers.
And, you know, the title actually came from, you know, I went somewhere and did some work on myself and had
written that down. It was like, it was almost like a goodbye letter to alcohol. And I was like,
I was like, goodbye whiskey, you know, go to hell. You took me as far as you could. And I was like,
that's a good title. And so when we came in and started, you know, I was like, I want to write a really
honest song. And it was a special moment, I think, for three of us. When you write that song,
and again, you're writing it because it is so personal, are you going, we're going to write this
because I just need to get this somehow encapsulated into music. Do you write this as a
and I do want to share this.
It's a Lady A song.
Where did you plan, like, level two?
You wrote it now.
Yeah, honestly, we were just writing.
I think we were just writing it.
And, you know, and, yeah, I mean, I didn't know if it was going to be me, you know, a Lady A song.
I mean, honestly, I think Dave and I both would agree.
I mean, we were picturing it as a Lady A song.
And Hillary just was like, Charles, this is your story.
And she was like, I almost am afraid to throw harmonies on it and take away from the rawliness
and the authenticity, I think, of your journey.
And, you know, because she had just an amazing Grammy-winning song, you know,
their Christian song, Thou Will.
And I was like, you know, maybe it's like that.
Like, that was her story and so personal.
And we can have, you know, be able to put some stuff out,
but I think it all still goes towards that Lady A, the sound.
I mean, we did it the other night.
It was our first show back in Orlando.
And it was just one of these special moments that we had, you know, to play that song.
And so, you know, I'm hoping it can kind of live alongside.
just all our body of work.
And, you know, we're working on some new music as a band as well.
And just, I think just, you know, maybe this can all lead us into some more longevity is kind of what I look at it.
Well, Dave's here too, just in case you thought they didn't like each other.
Like, it's Charles Kelly, it's Dave and Jimmy Robbins in place of Hillary.
Which is not.
Well, but I do, I do like the fact that this, it really is your story.
and it needs to be told by you with the attention on you
so what you're saying can be heard
and not be watered or not be interpreted anyway
except by a singular voice
because it's such a singular journey for others.
Yeah.
For yourself and others.
I think that's so true.
And honestly, I applaud Hillary for kind of recognizing that
because we were, Dave and I both wouldn't lie,
we were like, oh man, this is,
I love this kind of sound and this message from us as a band.
And, you know, I think looking back now, I'm like, man,
she was right you know and i got applaud like dave and jimmy i mean when we wrote it it just had this
thing where i was just kind of just throwing out some things i said yeah i said it's probably why i
moved to national and jimmy just goes so i moved to national i almost left and i was like we were off to
the races and i know that i couldn't have gotten it out in such a poetic way you know even though
it wasn't their journey but dave has gotten to see it you know and so um i mean we were tearing up
it was a it was a really therapeutic moment and it's a journey
man. I mean, we still got a ways to go with the bands and, you know, a lot of, you know,
we've, I've done a lot of repair, but there's, it's kind of almost like a living repair.
I'm going to, you know, really got to, because I've tried before, you know, and like you
said, trying to do it on your own or do it for somebody else, you're just white knuckling it.
It's not going to work long term. It only takes one drink to get you right back where you were.
And so, and it was, you know, it only had gotten worse.
Here is Charles Kelly with his song.
as far as you could.
Charles Kelly.
What's the goal with that song?
Because you write it, then you record it,
then you decide you're going to put it out.
And what's the goal?
Because it's something bigger
than just putting a song out, obviously.
Yeah, I mean to reach people.
I mean, it really, you know,
it's been such an up-and-down journey
and, you know, as an artist and things that work,
things that don't work.
And I have a big part of even this journey
of the work I've been doing is just letting go and chasing the art and letting go.
And, you know, putting my stock and my happiness in the process and not the outcome.
I mean, I didn't even think it was going to be something even considered putting it out as a single.
But Scott Bouchetta, you know, Big Machine was just, he just really is passionate about it.
Same thing with Ryan and Jimmy over at the label and my team.
And they just were like, this is a powerful message.
I don't know if anybody knows what it's going.
going to do. But it already feels like it's, I mean, it's already, I got it out. I mean, even one of the
reasons of getting it out, I couldn't hold it in anymore. And, you know, and we were in our last
label meeting. It was like, oh, let's go in and this with Lady A. And everybody's like, Hillary's like,
let's step back. And Dave, like, you know, let's not get ahead of this. It was like, I got to get this
out right now and just, you know, I got to get it off my chest. And so I think that was the biggest
thing was just getting it out there. And whatever journey it takes, I mean, it's already done so much
For me and some of the stories I've heard, my wife, I think that's, she probably gets more people
reaching out to her, you know, other wives that are going through this.
How do you deal with it?
What's the best way?
And it's giving her so much purpose and she's doing so much work around it that, again,
it's like it's just bringing us together in this whole different way.
And I was like, even if that's the journey of the song, I don't know.
I think I just want to let go of it and enjoy it, you know.
Well, I appreciate your vulnerability.
Thank you, man.
I mean, you can still sing.
Pretty good.
It's pretty good.
And I didn't say one inappropriate thing on the show.
I really think it's first time.
There's still a couple minutes left.
We've still got lunchbox, you know, in here.
Don't worry.
By the way, you're my favorite.
I love all you, but he makes me laugh so much.
I'll get on Instagram.
Ray, cut the bit.
Cut the bit, Ray.
When I need a good laugh, it is just awesome.
He reminds me, I feel like we would be best friends because we just don't really,
we have no filter.
My filter's a little bit less, but it's.
It's still there.
Jimmy, you know I'm a big fan of you two.
You've been on before with Marin, with, I mean, when Charles says something like you just said,
you know, brought me to Nashville and you're like, bra me to Nashville.
So if I were just to go, I ate some fruit loops this morning, how would you say,
how would you just throw that out there?
Man, I don't know.
I don't know.
You know about your kid.
I'm a lot like these fruit loops.
Yeah, I'm a lot like.
It's like, what would that melody be, though?
like, yeah, there we go.
Yeah.
Eat some fruit loops this morning.
Yeah, there it is.
Nice.
But my spoon was dirty.
Yes, it was.
My wife told me to unload the dishwasher.
But I never started it to begin with.
Now I'm sick.
Because I ain't dirty fruit loops.
From a dirty, dirty spoon
And now I got E. coli
I might die real soon.
Two kids Sam wants to kill me
Because he hates this song.
And it all started
Because I did my wife wrong.
Thank you very much, everybody.
We wrote that.
I wrote it by myself.
You guys get no credit.
Thank you.
That was great.
Thank you.
I thought you were going to get back to something.
Yeah, it wasn't.
I wanted to go where I had no business going, which was just find a word that rhymed, boys.
That was it.
That was great.
Look, Charles, I love it.
I love what you're doing, what it's doing, and what's going to happen.
You have no idea that's going to happen.
Because all that has to be open for you to even pursue this because you're going to get pulled
and tugged and it's going to be hard to sing it.
It's going to be awesome to sing it.
And sometimes you may be like, man, I'm over singing it.
And sometimes you're like, I wish you.
I could sing it more, but I just respect it.
Thank you, man.
Because it is so hard to just open up your rib cage and be vulnerable and be vulnerable
in sharing things that maybe you didn't do right.
Yeah.
That you can now do way right and other people can hear the same.
So that's a word vomit for me, but I respect it and I'm super proud for you, man.
Thank you, man.
I appreciate you.
I really do.
Dave, Jimmy.
Yeah, man.
You guys are cool.
Anyway.
I was something I think of you cool to hear is from you, Dave, is what's the coolest thing
that you've noticed in this season for Charles?
Like, what's it done for you?
Yeah, I mean, gosh, he'll always be Charles,
but he's just changed his demeanor and energy
in such a positive, healthy way.
He's taken all of that energy that he has,
which is awesome, and put it into so much good.
I mean, I'm just proud of him.
I mean, to be honest, like, this is bigger than a song for me.
I mean, I've been friends with him since we were 10, 11, 12.
I mean, writing that day, we were all just kind of crying.
I'm just proud of him.
I mean, this is more than just a song out there.
I mean, this is him making life changes that I'm so proud to stand by him in
and proud to stand alongside.
I told him, I was like, I'll play this as much as you want.
You know, it's your story and it's vulnerable.
And I haven't found a circle of people that haven't been impacted in some way by this song,
the stories that I've heard personally that, I mean, I know there's a great mission
with this song, you know, wherever it lands.
So I'm just so, I'm super proud of him.
This is awesome.
If you need a mocktail Somali, I'm your guy.
Yeah, there you go.
I do it for Jake constantly.
I'm like, actually, you'll like a little citrus in this one, Jake.
And get a salt.
If you're going to get a mocktail margarita, be sure to get extra salt.
So hit me up.
I'll lay it down.
Charles Kelly, great.
Love it.
You guys are awesome.
And by the way, check out Fruit Loops spoon coming out.
Featuring Lady Abe really soon.
I put it out and stream it.
It's me featuring Lady.
And they have no idea.
Now, that would be awesome.
All right.
Thank you. Charles, good to see you, buddy.
All right there. Charles Kelly, everybody.
This is Katie from Pennsylvania.
Which celebrity is always ready for cereal in the morning?
Reese with her spoon.
Rees with her spoon.
She's ready for cereal.
That's great.
That's a good one.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Let's play.
What does your wife really mean?
What?
Oh, that's a risky game.
Oh, man.
I was ready to chant it back.
I'm not playing this game.
I'll tiptoe in.
Go ahead.
Okay, I saw this funny meme about this, and it just made me think, yeah, sometimes wives just, if they say, hey, when you get a chance to do this, it means put your shoes on and go do it.
Yeah.
With my wife, she asks, hey, would you like to go and get the groceries that are outside?
And for me, that's go get the groceries outside.
She asks a lot of questions to make it seem as if I have a choice.
Do you ever say, no, I really don't.
I do.
And sometimes, and I've tried to set the precedent where if you ask, you have to accept my answer.
And I said, no, I don't.
I'm not going to go get them.
She said, hmm, okay.
I need you to get the groceries.
Let me rephrase.
So she's doing that less and less of asking questions.
Got it.
Because we do another thing too, and it's both of us that do it, where someone will say,
because we have like this tradition where on Sundays we order from this specific place.
And we'll do it Uber Eats or Postmates.
And I'll be like, hey, do you want to go get the food?
She's like, yeah.
I know she doesn't, but she says yeah.
And so if one of us says yes or no to something, we hold them to it.
I'm like, you said yes, so you have to go get it.
It's hardcore.
Well, we are trying.
Amy, the answer is she asks questions, but she means to go get it, yeah.
Right.
So I went to the gentleman's journal and pulled a whole list of things.
I live in that journal.
Here's just some of what your wife is saying, but what she really means.
How do you know her?
Oh.
have you hooked up with her?
Yeah, so that really means
what is your entire past history with that woman?
All the things.
And should I be threatened
and am I prettier than her?
Dang.
No, you shouldn't be threatened and duh,
or I would have married her.
That's what I say.
That's good.
But she doesn't ask that stuff.
Yeah, she doesn't say should I be threatened.
But if somebody, because I don't want it to be weird
so if there's somebody that I've went out with
and this hasn't happened a long time,
I'd be like, hey, just heads up.
I went out with her.
Ooh, you get ahead of it.
I have to.
because if I'm behind it, it's way worse.
Because she will find out.
And I'll go, I went out with her a couple times.
But she was crazy.
Oh, that's your go-to?
Yeah.
Okay, I'm fine.
That most certainly means she's not fine.
She's likely upset, angry, annoyed, or all of the above.
And she's probably not going to tell you why.
You've got to figure it out yourself.
I think early on that was it.
But again, we've started to take each other for each other's words.
I'm fine.
Okay, cool.
You said it.
I'm cleared for duty.
So I'm going to go play Madden.
And then later, this doesn't happen.
If she were like, you knew what I meant,
she can't do that because we've made the decision
that if we do say something like that,
even trying to get the other person to go fishing,
we can't use it later because we said it.
So I'm fine.
It means I'm freaking fine, you know?
All right.
Then there's whatever.
I'm over it.
She's likely not over it at all.
She would like for you to know that she's just going to wallow in it for a little bit
and eventually it will pass.
That's me saying that, though.
That's you.
More mature.
Yeah, she's way more mature than I am.
Me, I'm like, yeah, I'm over it.
Three days later.
I'm huffing and puffing.
This one's funny to me because I feel like I do it.
Sorry, what?
Well, it just depends on the tone.
Because I'll do that, but I can't hear.
But, excuse me, what?
That's like, you need to say that again
and make sure that what you're saying
is something you really want to say out loud.
Yeah, because likely we heard you loud and clear.
We're just giving you a chance to change.
change what you said. Thank you. Okay, apparently we should be cleaning our desks every single day,
our workspace. A lot of times companies will have people that come in and vacuum or change the
trash, but they're not cleaning your spaces and disinfecting them. And we touch so many things
throughout the day that they're the dirtiest places and it's right where we're sitting. So this is
just a note and encouragement from the Library of Science to clean your desk every single day. And I'm like,
Shoot, I don't wipe mine down every single day.
So try that out.
And then Shania Twain was asked by InStyle if she liked sharing her stories and work experiences with younger artists.
And she said, she loves it.
It makes her feel aunty-ish, like a little aunt to them.
And I love that she said this.
It's like dying with a good recipe.
That's a shame to not share it with everybody.
And that's such a good comparison.
We worry about Eddie because he has a lot of recipes to listen or send him.
And what if you die and don't give them to us?
Literal recipes.
You got to write them down.
Listeners were sending Eddie tons of recipes for no reason.
Hundreds of them.
It's so weird.
I thought he was going to die or something.
That's happening.
But don't die with those.
You need to make sure to share them.
I will share them with everyone I know.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
There was a raccoon that was out for a stroll in Cochran, Georgia,
and comes up on the railroad tracks looking around.
Oh, man.
out here.
Goes to leave.
Oh, wait.
Oh.
It got frozen to the railroad track because it was 10 degrees.
His fur stuck on the railroad track and he couldn't get off.
Well, luckily, a couple railroad workers were fixing the railroad a little ways away.
They found the raccoon.
They got some hot water and they sat there for five minutes pouring water,
getting the raccoon loose.
Woo!
He ran away.
Bit him game rabies.
I don't think that out of it.
But the raccoon looked back before he went in the water.
Woods, game a nod, thanks guys, see you later.
Oh, for sure. Oh, he got him a nod, a human nod.
Human communication. He's
around a lot of humans to know what the nod means.
Do you think the raccoon knew how serious it was
to get stuck to railroad tracks? I think a raccoon
probably goes, I can't move.
My life is in danger. Time to move
in an aggressive way until my life is not in danger.
Okay. Yeah. But has no clue that a big train
could come and squash it. Or another animal
come eat it, but yeah. He understands the concept of
train travel. Oh, okay.
Yeah, or
yeah, he just can move and that would be scary.
But how crazy is that that is
Got stuck on the railroad track
Yeah, walking up to a raccoon
You would go slow
And you would go
Okay, is that raccoon?
Because you don't want to get close to a raccoon
Oh, they're so cute though
And then finally you realize
You almost got to pour hot water from a distance
Because you don't want it to be so scared
You probably pugging with a stick first
Animals will only attack if they're hungry
Or threatened
Yeah
And that he could have felt
It could have been both actually
That's a great story they did that
I love it
Love when animals are saved
That is what it's all about
That was Tell Me Something Good
A voicemail from Paula in Nolensville
I wanted to get an update on your jaw clenching
From your show I learned that you could actually get Botox
Because I also suffered from the same problem
I had it done two weeks ago
And it was amazing
Absolute fabulous results
And I think you could really benefit from it
Just love to get an update
Love the show
Thank you Paula
Thanks for leaving that voicemail
So the update, first of all, is the very, very back top tooth
And the, like the mole, the molars?
Moeller, yeah.
The very, very back one is busted.
Oh my gosh.
Because I clenched it, half of it popped off.
I don't know what's happening inside my body, but I've never been a grinder or a clencher,
but I would just find myself clenched so hard at times.
I come in, if I don't wear my mouth guard or I lose it,
I can't open my mouth all the way for hours.
I have to work it back open.
I did go and get, I told you guys this.
Right, then I got the Botox in my jaws.
Did I tell you this?
I don't think so.
Okay, but I didn't get very much because I was scared of it.
Yeah.
And so I didn't get it, look at my forehead.
It ain't there because I can.
You do look younger.
No, it's my jaws.
Yeah.
But I was scared to get it.
And I was like, I don't know, just give me a dabble.
And they were like, I don't think this is going to work.
Or it may not work with this a little bit.
Right, because you have so much going on in there.
And so I did just a dab do you.
And I don't really feel much different.
but I was just really worried about putting that in my body
although I do put
cinnamon toast crunch in my body
I'm gonna tell you
that's true
one probably ain't worse than the other one
well you do look good man that Botox looks good on you
No it's in my jaw you know something looks different
No wrinkles
Well so maybe you should go try and add a little bit more
I know it just scared me
and I don't like needles but I will
Also you didn't want to if anybody ever asked you had Botox
You didn't want to say yes
I didn't want to be like yeah stay in the jaw though
one don't do the duck lips.
That's not the duct lips.
You know when you do like the
Dipper housewives?
Oh, that's not Botox.
Amy said it's filler.
So I can still get that?
Yeah, you get that.
Yeah, it's a gateway drug.
Okay, so thank you for the update
and I'm glad that works for you
and I will try to go make
maybe see if it works for me.
So far I just did a little dabidumi
and it didn't work that well.
Thank you.
Time now for Amy's morning, corny.
The morning corny.
What did the evil chicken lay?
What did the evil chicken lay?
Devil's eggs.
That's pretty good.
That was the morning corny.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.
Cliver Taylor the fourth.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions,

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two,
never mess with her friends either.
We always say that, trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends,
Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no.
I vowed. I will be his last target.
He's going to get what he deserves.
Listen to the girlfriends.
Trust me, babe.
On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts,

Everyone, I'm Ago Wodam.
My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman,
Saturday Night Live,
and the Big Money Players Network,
it's Will Ferrell.
My dad gave me the best advice ever.
I went and had lunch with him one day,
and I was like,
And dad, I think I want to really give this a shot.
I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings.
I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
Yeah, it would not be.
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot of luck.
Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
A woman accidentally discover her married her third cousin.
So let's just walk down it.
Yeah, what's a third cousin?
Well, let's say you marry your first cousin.
Is that okay?
No.
No.
Yeah, that's tough.
I know who that is, no.
Because I don't know what a third cousin is, but the first one is.
Oh, you know what a first cousin is.
I was like, tell me more.
No.
Okay, so you married a second cousin.
Oh, man, that's tough.
Not for me.
That's tough.
Well, not for you in that.
I know you wouldn't pursue doing that.
If someone else wants to try it.
Are you okay with someone else marrying a second cousin?
There's still blood in there, right?
Still not for me.
That's still blood related?
I think I'm okay with second cousin.
Yeah, second cousin ain't his bad guys.
You are you?
What are you guys talking about?
And then third cousin.
That's,
it's a grandchild of one grandparent's first cousin.
It's too close.
No.
Let me think about this.
Third's far.
It's a grandchild of one grandparent.
So it's a grandparent's cousin.
They're a grandkid.
Oh, yeah.
What are you talking about?
We're all probably third cousin at this point.
I agree.
No chance.
But still, it feels weird, but it's probably better.
Marcella Hill revealed what happened to her
the moment she learned that she was married
to her third cousin. She starts off by saying
she's never publicly revealed this
and then
in a discussion about baby names
and looking up names of family members
she discovered they had grandparents that shared
the same names. Then it turns out
her grandpa was first cousins
with his grandma
and then they started calling around
and they're like, is this true? Yeah, it's true.
Third cousins, they're married. Is that
distant enough?
It's good to go.
Yeah.
I even think second cousins is good to go.
What if you're at a family reunion, you meet a third cousin?
Would you try to hook up?
Yeah.
Had a family reunion.
Yeah, so there's the extra layer there.
Did you ever have a kissing cousin?
No, what are you talking about?
Go ahead.
Tell us what you have.
Yeah, I mean, yes, Amy, feel comfortable to share.
Yeah, go ahead.
We won't take this anywhere.
Did you have a cousin used to kiss?
No, my sister did.
No, that's you.
What?
You wouldn't throw under the bus.
Go ahead.
Yeah, wait.
Hey, your sister, wink, wink.
Yeah, okay, my sister.
Okay.
So, in Arkansas.
we, our family
Don't do Arkansas.
Don't do Arkansas.
You could have just told the story
that put my state into it
that already gets a bad rap for this.
Yeah, my Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Bob
lived in Arkansas
and we would drive there in the summers
with our parents.
And your sister?
And yeah, our cousin
had a son named Sam
so making him our second cousin
and my sister and him
liked each other.
But nothing ever happened.
What are you talking?
You just said kissing cousins
so you can't say nothing happened.
Second cousin.
Okay, so second cousin.
Okay.
So second cousin would be your cousin's kid.
Yeah, it's no big deal.
No.
No, it can't.
It's not your cousin.
Yes, but I'm saying what if you're a kid, though, and they're a kid.
It's okay.
It's your parents' cousins kid.
They were 13.
You're right.
It's your parents' cousins kid.
Okay, whatever.
Everyone's still related.
This is messed up.
That all three of you guys are like, that's not true.
That's good.
That's crazy.
No.
I'm okay with it.
Yeah, I'm good with it.
I'm okay with you.
I'm okay with second cousin.
I don't think I wouldn't pursue it.
But if it happened, it happened.
I mean,
and Caitlin's from Oklahoma,
so who knows what blood's crossed there?
There's no way.
Let's say you go home today
and you find out,
Caitlin,
is your second cousin.
You would stay.
You would say the family reunion
you have a few drinks,
you know what I'm saying?
And you and second cousin
wander off to the woods?
I mean,
I'm okay with it.
Well,
that's how it happened in my family.
So how do we stand with third cousin
yes or no,
Amy?
Yeah.
Lunchbox?
Oh,
100%.
I'm fine.
I'm fine.
Eddie?
H to the no.
Okay, so we have one note.
What about second cousin?
Yes or no?
Let's do it.
I'm okay with it.
Eddie?
No.
Okay, first cousin.
No.
No.
A little too many drinks.
Why not?
Eddie?
No.
Okay.
You really think first cousin's bad?
Yeah.
I have double cousins.
See?
My mom and her sister married a pair of brothers.
So our family tree goes, one trunk.
Yeah.
One trunk and fair up.
This just is all if.
It's time to award.
the employee of the month for here at the Bobby Bone show,
you can win up to $300
if your employee of the month.
Lunchbox is eliminated because he is serving a suspension.
Not suspension.
You can be back next month.
I'll be back next month and that means the crown will be on my head.
You guys enjoy your little pity party while you're at it.
There's no pity party.
Someone will be recognized though.
So I want to recognize the person who's done the best,
the best storylines,
who has shined, who's a lot of others to shine.
If you win, pick your prize.
You got money.
You got self-promotion.
You got blocking somebody else.
So when I come to you, you tell me why you should be the employee of the month.
And maybe it's so good if you weren't.
Maybe I go, that's a good point.
Now they are.
First up, Ramundo, why should you be employee of the month?
I continue to make the listeners closer to the show in Vegas.
DJ Tutu Kui hit me up.
He needed a birthday video from Bones.
Boom, I got it from Bones.
A listener wanted another birthday call from Bones.
I said, Bones, FaceTime, Midnight.
He didn't answer, but dang it, I tried.
Can I win employee of the month?
You're doing a lot of work too.
So Ray annoyed you with requests from listeners.
Ray, you're eliminated. You're not employee at the month.
Lunchbox, I'm sorry. You don't even get to read a speech.
But if you'd like to have 15 seconds to explain why you should be let back in this week, this month, you can.
Yeah, guys, the show doesn't go without me.
All right, that's enough. Thank you.
That wasn't 15 seconds.
I know. Morgan, why should you be employee of the month?
Well, I feel like I deserve employer the month because every week I think I think.
I spend over 70 hours working to keep our social media and digital platforms running and always
up to date with everything that you guys talk about on air.
Plus, I have to deal with a lot of mean people online.
And, you know, I stay positive through it all.
And I've been really open about my crazy dating life as well.
All solid stuff.
Yeah.
Great job, Morgan.
You are an asset to this show, but you're not employee the month this month.
Amy's our returning champion.
Amy, why should you be employee the month?
Okay, I feel like I've been working really hard on bringing good energy into the show.
I do breathing exercises while I drive in.
I try to want, I hope the best for everybody on the show.
I brought The Stevenson Show, which has now been played a few times, something I do with my son.
And I had calls from the elderly, well, let's not call them that.
Older listeners that have wisdom for us and they all called in.
Just ideas and topic.
That was a run on sentence.
You are not employee the month.
Lunchbox, I'm sorry to cut you off.
I mean, I was just like, if you're going to cut me off, what are we doing here?
Go ahead, lunchbox.
That was fine.
Go ahead, 50 seconds.
It was fine.
Without me, there would be no show.
The energy is me.
You say you bring energy.
Who brings the drama?
Who gets people fired up on those phones?
The only reason people tune in is say, what is lunchbox going to say next?
And that's why they're here in 2020.
You know what?
You're back in contention, lunchbox.
Yeah!
Let's go!
All because of that.
Let's go.
You're back in contention.
I like it.
Let's go.
I like the energy.
Woo!
I even do a breathing exercise.
I just yelled in my face.
Eddie, why should you be Employee the Month?
I have one thing to say, Bones, and that's hottest gummy bear in the world.
Look, I have a confession to make.
That was December.
This is Employer the Months.
Look, I have a confession.
I really liked Amy's gifts, but I knew at that moment I was going to have to go for that luxury gift.
So maybe I have to take the hottest gummy bear, the hottest chip, whatever, for the show.
These are the stupid things I do for the show.
Therefore, I deserve to be Employer the Month.
I did hot ship.
Eddie, you're still in it.
Yeah!
Let's go to Abby.
Abby, you're answering bits behind the scenes.
Why should you be employee the month?
Okay, I think I deserve to win because I really put myself out there this month
and trusted y'all with my dating life, and I usually embarrassed myself in the process.
But I especially think I should win for sending the most cringe-worthy message.
No offense, Bobby, to a guy that I've ever sent.
Plus, I have to listen to a hater in the studio every time I talk about it.
So, pick me to win.
Abby's the one who eliminated lunchbox.
from the game, so I can't really go against that lunchbox.
You're eliminated again.
You're not Employee the Month.
Oh, wow.
I totally, okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, so it's between Abby and Eddie.
Wow.
We know one.
No, we don't.
It's Eddie.
Why?
Because he deserves it, maybe?
Eddie the dad, he had a couple good Eddie the...
If he did, it's not for the gummy bear.
The employee of the month...
It's not for the gummy bear.
The Gummy Bear is awesome.
This employee is a hero.
He broke up a fight and shared the heroic story with us.
Because of him backing out on tickets to For King and Country,
they came and performed over the best of the entire year.
Oh, I forgot about that.
He won easy trivia.
He's back to dominating games, unless I'm playing.
He admitted to making his kids eat out of the garbage.
He shared an important scam alert after his dad basically had to cancel his identity.
He ate the hottest gummy beer, and he performed Felice Navidad.
His performance was great.
Dang.
What a run.
Eddie, you are an employee of the month.
I'm telling you, 90% of those bits he just said, I forgot about.
That's crazy.
I know, same.
You're doing so many good ones.
So what would you like, Eddie?
You got a few options here.
You can eliminate.
You could keep lunchbox out another month.
I could do that.
That'd be fun.
You could do some self-promotion or you could spin the wheel of cash.
I do like the self-promotion because of my TikTok.
You'll get two spins on the wheel if you want it.
Bones, during this whole bit, I keep staring at that wheel.
And there are only two slots that I really want.
The spin again three times and the $100.
What about the $20?
Those are nice.
Those are nice.
But when you said you can win up to $300, I was like, okay, this is where it's at.
So I'm gonna take my chances, bones.
You want it to get two spins.
Two spins, let's go.
And if you like the first one, you keep it, but if you don't like it, you have to spin again.
Correct.
You have to go with whatever that second spin is.
You got it.
Let's spin that wheel.
Come on.
$100.
$100.
There it is.
$5.
Hey, that's good.
$5.
Now, do you want to set on five?
Or do you want to spend again?
There's a lot of ones up.
You know what?
How cool would it be to go home?
Tell my kids, I want to employ the month.
and show them the $5 bill.
I'm going to take the money, Boone.
He's taking the money.
Yeah.
Are you serious?
Yeah, I can't risk it.
Guys, last time I spent the wheel, it was dollars.
Do you want to know what it would have been?
Yep.
Let's spin that wheel.
It's going to be 100.
I mean, I've never seen a drummer.
Oh, see?
Good job.
There you go.
Eddie.
Thank you, bones.
You are such a whim.
Here's your cash.
Come on up and accept $5.
Employee of the month, Eddie.
You did great.
Congratulations, Eddie.
you guys have been put on notice, I'm back.
Oh.
I'm back.
So what is that mean?
Get ready.
Are you warning us?
You're going to do a great job?
The heat is coming.
Oh, no.
The heat is coming.
Consider me scared.
Who will I block next one?
Luke Combs.
But you got to be a great employee to be able to block somebody.
Don't worry.
Okay, I'm not.
Do you consider going viral?
If I put a video on TikTok, it hits blank, it goes viral.
Million.
Yeah.
One?
One million.
I'm going viral again.
Oh, wow.
Oh, dude.
Pretty cool.
A video where that woman was like, I feed my kids only rice and water if they have a bad day.
Oh, gratitude day.
And I did a bunch of funny graphics on it while she was talking about it, which makes people jump in.
It got over a million views.
Wow.
There's a Jake Owen one where he was talking about life.
It's doing really well, too.
I'm on TikTok, Mr. Bobby Bones.
Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones.
Thank you for being here.
You could be anywhere in the whole wide world, but you're here with us.
And now let's do the news.
Bobby's Big.
Stories.
Women are more attracted to rugged men like Chris Hemsworth and Jason Mamoa during times of uncertainty.
Study finds.
Now, my heart and brain also finds that women are attracted to rugged men like Chris Hemsworth and Jason Mamoa during all times.
Not just times of uncertainty.
Everyone has a type.
It could be Kirby, muscular or dad bod, but it turns out that if panic is ensuing, you like a guy that has big muscles.
That's got to be caveman type stuff.
Sure.
You're big, you're strong.
Let's go to primal feelings.
You will defend and fight for our small tent community that we're living in.
Our tents are made a bare skin and our weapons are basically rocks.
I doubt those guys can do that.
They're good in gyms and protein shakes.
I'm also attracted to them in times of course.
You defend them.
All of a sudden, I'm like, I'm a new boyfriend.
Please protect me.
What?
Chris Simpsworth could do it.
So could Jason Mamo.
Well, maybe.
I don't know.
But Eddie was awesome.
Eddie was saying they couldn't.
Guys, they lift weights in the gym.
Chris Hemsworth has some really cool show on TV right now.
I don't even know what's called.
It's breaking Bobby Bones, but they have a bigger budget.
Yeah.
On Nat Geo.
Oh my gosh.
Dang.
Oh, my gosh.
It's very similar.
Yeah, it's breaking Bobby Bones is the bigger budget.
Yeah.
And when I said, I can't do international breaking Bobby Bones because I have this show,
because I want to make sure this show is a priority.
They said, we see your show.
We'll do Chris Hemsworth and we'll give him more money.
You're sure?
I was like, yeah, I'm sure.
I said, but if times are uncertain, can you?
Have him call me?
Daily Mail.
That Chris Hemsworth's show is good though.
Yeah.
He's trying like hardcore stuff.
Oh really?
Because he's hardcore.
His body's hardcore.
I do stuff like use a jackhammer.
Drive a truck.
And I tear my shoulder into.
There's an invisible house.
That's what they call it in Joshua Tree, California that's up for sale.
It's awesome.
I saw this on it just on Instagram because I follow like big house closings all over America.
It's all the rich people that have big houses.
And so it's not really invisible, but it's made all of them.
mirror on the outside, so if you fly over it, you can't really see it because it's all mirror.
Wow, that's awesome.
It's, it is amazing.
Now, it's probably hard to get to.
It's covered by nearly 100 mirrored solar panels that are massive.
It makes it virtually invisible.
It's 5,500 square feet.
Wow.
Wow.
Looks like a trailer.
That's a convention.
That's a convention center, guys.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
A giant trailer.
Three bedrooms, four bathrooms, 100 foot indoor swimming pool, a chef's kitchen.
The home will set you back 18 minutes.
million bucks. Whoa. It's been featured in the world's most amazing vacation rentals. It even has
its own Instagram page. That's from USA Today. That's awesome. It's the craziest coolest thing I've
ever seen. I just, I wouldn't be able to get to a Starbucks or a smoothie place quick,
though, based on where it is. I'm probably not going to go there. I don't know what school district
is in either because that matters, right guys? Of course, always. The cheapest states to live in.
Number five, Texas. Number four, Alaska. Number three, Tennessee. Number two, South Dakota.
number one, New Hampshire, the most expensive states to live in.
Number five, Utah.
Man, Utah's awesome, though.
I hate cold weather.
I wouldn't want to live in Utah.
But I fall in in a bit of love with the people and not going when it's super cold,
but getting just enough cold and getting the heck out of there.
It's really cool, though.
New York at four, obviously.
Three, California.
Oregon at two, surprising.
Number one, Hawaii.
Yeah, they got to send everything over on a fishing boat to get there.
Oh, yeah.
That's from North American Moving Services.
but I have a theory
if New Hampshire is the...
I don't think anyone's actually from New Hampshire.
I said it.
I never met a single person
from New Hampshire.
Never.
I never met anyone that's like,
hey, how's it going on Bobby?
I'm from Arkansas.
Where are you from?
New Hampshire?
You're right.
Never.
My theory is.
Let me look at the camera here.
So I can clip this, Eddie,
because I want to put us up.
You got it.
Here's my theory.
I don't think anyone's from New Hampshire.
I think I've driven through it.
I think I've seen signs.
that said you're entering New Hampshire?
But what does that even mean?
I never met a single person that said, hey,
I'm Mike, I'm from New Hampshire.
I'm a big New Hampshire guy.
I root for the New Hampshire team.
None.
Nobody's from New Hampshire.
That's my theory.
All right, you just save that clip.
Like born and raised there or like?
Or lives there.
Maybe they just stay there.
I don't think it exists.
I think they just put random signs up
so you feel like you've been there.
Okay.
Wow.
Because when I drove in New Hampshire,
entering New Hampshire. I blinked. I saw the next one. You're now leaving New Hampshire. I was like,
wait, guys. So that's why it's the most affordable place to live. It is tiny. Yeah, I don't believe
it exists. A new study's found that just 10 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise each day
helps the brain. Makes sense. I get shout out Eddie who's killing it on exercise. He shows up and
works extremely hard and he's dead. Here's the thing about Eddie that annoys me. He's dead like I am
dead and he goes, I can't wait for the next one. I'm like, what's wrong with you, man? I'm not
even thinking about the next one. He goes, that one sucked. I hate it. I'm ready to
to do it again. Like, how do you think about that right then? I got to take all that time to build to even
just allowing myself to do it again. Bay is like, I'm ready to get there. Hey, to your point, though,
in this story, my wife did say the other day, like, I'm acting happier and I'm like, I feel happier.
That's from NBC29. You're having endorphins. Endorphins make people happy. There you go.
Do you feel like, because your goal wasn't to get big biceps or just to look better, it was literally
to lose your belly. Yeah, lose my belly. And like, my kids are very active, so I want to keep up
with them. Do you feel like your belly with your eating and your exercises starting to trim a little bit?
Yeah. Oh yeah, man. I mean, not a lot. I mean, but it's small. Yeah. Everything's small,
especially with you. Okay. It's messed up. Half of Americans lose sleep over this. Their job.
Respondents say they often struggle with proper sleep with workloads with business problems,
keeping them up and tossing and turning. Does your job cause you to lose sleep? Our answer is for the
most part, yes, because we wake up so early. But other than that, my answer is yes, too, because I constantly can't
stop thinking about this.
It's constantly, how do I feel hours of content?
What's the content?
Also, I might get murdered in my sleep.
It's slide, side there.
Amy, what do you think?
Do you lose sleep about the job?
Yeah, mine is mostly, oh, why did I say that?
And how many people heard it?
Oh, yours is on air-based.
Oh, yeah, it's more, or, yeah, just mostly how I've said something maybe that I totally regret.
I feel like once I get here, and it's game time, it's time to play the game,
and I don't really regret or think about anything that's been said.
I just try to prepare myself best for the game,
and then hopefully I play well.
Like, I try to make sure I'm totally prepared in every way,
and then my performance is based on how I did before.
If I happen to perform in a bad way,
that's not because I wasn't ready.
That's just law.
It just averages.
Every once in a while it's going to be a bad show or a great show.
Top workplace issues keeping us awake, annoying coworkers.
Yeah, we got those.
We sure do.
It happens.
Job termination?
Not worried about that.
We've all been together for like 800 years.
Salary issues?
Yeah.
Shut up. You guys are crazy.
Hey, prepare your next and be aware of the next one.
It will be held against you or you'll be rewarded for your next response.
Oh.
A nightmare boss.
Oh, man.
Yeah, yeah, no, I have to worry about that.
Say that again again?
I don't have to worry about that.
Oh, you like that?
Consider yourself with less of a salary issue now.
All right, that's when study finds.org.
I'll finally be in kinder, helps you live longer.
Mostly it's a stress internal issue.
You feel better.
You treat others better.
It comes back on you.
That is the news.
Those were Bobby's B.
Stories.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you're saying.

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield.
in this new season of The Girlfriends.
Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care.
So they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no.
I vowed I will be his last target.
He's going to get what he deserves.
Listen to the Girlfriends.
Trust me, babe.

It's Will Ferrell.
Woo.
It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there.
Yeah, it would not be.
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot in luck.

Here's a voicemail from Terry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
I'm my way home from adopting a second dog from a local rescue.
And I know that Bobby brought Eller in when she already had family, a little bit concerned about how this is going to go once we get everybody home and settled.
and I was just wondering if you had any advice.
Our girl Gigi wasn't real excited
when we met the two of them together.
So just looking for some advice.
My advice is to understand it's going to be hard
and at times it is going to be painful for you or them
because it's just difficult dogs.
You can't speak words to them.
You can't talk sense into them.
We got Ella.
She was really small.
I think they thought she was older than she was,
but she was very aggressive.
And why wouldn't she be?
She'd been on the street.
since she was born and had to basically fight for food.
So extremely aggressive, bite all the time.
Bite, bite, bite, bite, bite.
As she got bigger, the bites got harder.
We saw an aggression specialist.
And I feel pretty good about dogs.
That dogs growing up had bird dogs.
We had deer dogs.
I had dogs as pets.
Like, I love dogs and I've trained dogs.
Like my own dogs.
And I tried.
I couldn't do it.
So we had an aggression specialist.
Come to our house and work with us and the dog,
but teach us how to work with the dog.
We can never let them in the same room.
We had him on leashes when they were.
She would attack Stanley.
And then Stanley wanted nothing to do with her
because she was just always attacking his head.
The aggression specialist told us,
you cannot keep this dog in this house ever.
They will never be able to live.
They will never be able to live in the same place
at the same time and be free.
And I was like, wait, ever?
She was like, never.
And Caitlin was like, well, that's just not an option.
It's great.
So we committed to being very consistent for Eller.
We create trained her.
We were always at times in the middle of the night.
when she'd get a little fussy, we'd go and just sit with her. And over time, she became less and
less aggressive. We started trusting those two to be in the same room together. We'd have a pen.
We'd set up in the room and Ella would be in the pen and Stanley would be outside of it. And at least they
could be around each other. It was such a slow process. But I'm going to tell you, now they're such
best friends in the dog world. Like they are not good when they're not together. Ellor is awesome.
She's actually so needy in a loving way. Like she wants to be pet and have her belly.
scratched and we take them a couple days a week to this dog place where they play and they tell us all the time
hey if stanley doesn't come with ella she doesn't play that much she wants stanley to be there with other dogs
and so i would assume and i would assume this from my own life and even have an eddie with adopted kids
like for me it was to ever get consistency ever was was difficult i didn't understand it when i did
it had to be consistent for a long time because i had such inconsistency for a long time in my life
moving around different parents my grandmother adopted me who knew when i was going to eat meals
so when something would happen, I would think, well, this isn't going to last, so I got to keep my protective walls up.
Dog's the same way.
So she didn't trust anything.
Why would she?
Nothing was ever trustworthy.
But she does now.
It was difficult.
But man, was it worth it?
And it is a plus awesome.
And sometimes, because I try to love them equally, but sometimes I just love her more than Stanley.
Because Stanley is like, and they don't speak English.
So you can say that.
They don't.
All the time.
So that's a bad.
story that turned good. I hope yours isn't that difficult, but plan for it to be, but it will be
worth it because it's awesome now. Like, I love her and she can't get enough of just being loved and
pet. And I like to share that story because I want people to know you should go adopt a dog if you
can. And too, it's not going to be easy at first, but it will be worth it and you save a dog's life.
That's a situation right there. I feel pretty good about that. Amy, anything like to say?
Yeah, no, I think you're right on. My dog, I'm not even bringing my adopted dog into another
house was another dog. And she still had so many issues. And we're still.
dealing with them, but she's so much better than she was. And, you know, I know you use the kid
reference too. Same thing with kids. You just have to stick with it. And then once they feel
safe and loved, then you get out on the other side and you're like, whoa, that was a crazy
year or two, but look at us now. I tell her out of that. Look at us now. I'll learn she's like,
I'm a dog. I don't know what you said. All right. Thank you for the voicemail. Good job. I'm glad
you did that. Thank you for sharing that story. We really appreciate the call. You can leave us

Boneyhead.
Story of the day.
This story comes to us from California.
A couple got four new dog crates for their dogs.
They're like, oh, which ones are the best?
Let's try them out.
So the husband climbs in one goes, oh, this one feels pretty sturdy.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
And then the wife climbs in one
And they realize, oh no, we're locked in the dog crate.
What?
And they can't get out.
They can't get out.
For like three and a half minutes, he finally is able to scoot the dog crate and turn it.
Like jump?
Like jump.
Oh, no.
And he gets it in front of his wife's and he's able to unlatch hers.
And then she gets out and unlatches his.
That's funny.
That's how they got out of jail and Andy Griffith's show a couple times.
By hopping?
By reaching across and, like, opening each other's.
Oh.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They did say they were very close to using Alexa to call their neighbors to come over and help.
Oh, that's good.
I wish there was some sort of camera footage, like some sort of security camera that got this.
Oh, no, no.
They have cameras in their house.
It caught it.
Oh, it did.
Yeah, yeah.
So you see the guy.
I've gotten an Eller's crate before.
Why?
Honestly.
What's the point?
Well, a couple.
You weren't drinking.
A couple reasons.
And she was crate trained when she was young because she was very aggressive when we adopted her.
but now the door shouldn't even exist.
It's never closed.
That's just her safe place.
She goes and she sleeps in there.
Or she just hangs out in the daytime.
And I got in there once because I was just hanging out.
It's your safe place?
Well, with her, with her.
I think she was sick and I just felt terrible.
And so I got in there and just was petting her.
I even put her, it's big.
Put a little pillow in there.
Okay.
Another time, I think I probably got in there
because she had eaten something or run off with something
and they got in there and had to get out of her mouth.
You want to see a dog run away from you, go,
hey, what's in your mouth?
Gone.
It doesn't matter what dog it is.
You can be getting attacked by some massive, you know,
junkyard dog.
Hey, what's in your mouth there?
Oh, right.
Takes off running.
Is that it, Lunchbox?
Yeah, I'm Lunchbox.
That's your Bonehead Story of the Day.
We were talking about people with unfortunate names.
And I told you, I worked with a girl.
I got a really wild last name.
You have to go listen to the podcast because that was on the podcast.
But somebody emailed Amy about this because then we started talking about initials.
What do they say?
She said, hey, you guys were talking about unfortunate initials.
And my name is Kathleen.
My last name starts with a K.
And then my parents gave my middle name with a K.
No.
Her initials are KKK.
No, no, that's not good.
Why would parents do that, though?
Why would you put the middle?
I don't know.
I guess her last name if she married, it changed.
So it could be like KKL.
But then when she meets this dude to marry him, she's like,
Oh, I can't do that.
You better really love them.
Well, and you can avoid your initials being out.
Like she said, I don't get anything monogrammed, end of story, but she was in the Navy.
And in the Navy, they use your initials a lot for all kinds of things.
And so there they were.
Dang.
Yeah.
What?
KKK always sitting alone over there at the table.
Yeah, that stinks.
Yeah, she said it was not cool.
Yeah, that stinks.
Well, thanks for sharing that with us.
That's it.
You guys have an awesome day.
tomorrow on the show. A new artist
that I love, I think they're so good, called Dave's Highway,
brother, two sisters and a brother.
I just saw them randomly. They're going to be in tomorrow.
Have a great day. We will see you then. Bye, everybody.
