Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed human. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits,
Starting point is 00:00:13 my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, the Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfilled conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
Starting point is 00:00:28 So let's get to it. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok podcast network on TikTok. Earners, what's up? Look, money is something we all deal with, but financial literacy is what helps turn income into real wealth. On each episode of the podcast, Earn Your Leisure, we break down the conversations you need to understand money, investing, and entrepreneurship. From stocks and real estate to credit, business, and generational wealth, our goal is simple. Make financial literacy accessible for everyone.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Because when you understand the system, you can start to build within it. Open your free IHeart Radio app. Search Earn Your Leisure and Listen Now. On paper, the three hosts of the Nick Dick and Poll show are geniuses. We can explain how AI works, data centers, but there are certain things that we don't necessarily understand. Better version of Play Stupid Games win Stupid Prizes. Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first.
Starting point is 00:01:28 time. I actually, I thought it was. I got that wrong. But hey, no one's perfect. We're pretty close, though. Listen to the Nick, Dick, and Paul show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Come on, Bobby. Welcome to the show. Morning studio. Morning. Here we go. We got a good Tuesday show, but the thing is Amy is not here. So it would have been great. Now it's only going to be good. Yeah. Amy is sick.
Starting point is 00:02:00 She texts me as like, I have a fever. I got the fever from one cowbell. No. She had 104 fever, actually. And I think she's getting a little better, but we don't know what's up. not going to be here today. So without Amy, let's continue and get the show started. All right, his digital detox is now over after a few weeks, and he still doesn't know how to properly duck other people who drive jeeps. Here he is. Eddie, everybody. Bones, I'm going to need another gift card. Wait, what? So, do you lose yours? No. I can probably just reprint out the one I gave you.
Starting point is 00:02:30 No, no, no. So I helped you pick up some stuff. I volunteered my time, and you didn't have to gift me anything, but you were nice and you gave me a gift card to Pizza Hut. And I appreciate that. Now, we went to dinner with some friends on Saturday night, and my wife was like, oh, that's perfect. Give me that gift card the Bobby gave you and I'll order pizza for the kids. I'm like, no, no, that's my gift card. That's my pizza. Wait, I don't have to pay for a second gift card. Well, my wife spent it on my kids.
Starting point is 00:02:53 So she ordered three pizzas for them. Now I don't have the gift card for me. But you would end up spending that money anyway. That's been money coming from you. So it's just which version of the money gets spent. I'm tired of this. I'm tired of gifts coming my way. This is not a me thing.
Starting point is 00:03:07 So let's move off that. but you go ahead with your little speech. I'm just tired of it, man. Like somebody gives me things and my kids are like, oh, those are cool shoes, Dad. You know, I'm a 10 and a half. Like, well, now you want the shoes or, oh, that's a cool shirt, Dad, can I have that? Now you want the shirt.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Now the gift card. I'm just tired of it. Like, I'm tired of them taking my gifts. Then don't tell your wife that you have a gift card. Well, I thought it was cool. And I was like, Pizza's Friday. Like, it's coming. We got a gift card.
Starting point is 00:03:31 You're right. I shouldn't have shared that with her. No, no, no. That's not. No what. Bobby's right. It's the same money. You would have paid it out of your own money.
Starting point is 00:03:38 It's principal, man. That was my gift card. Okay, now that I understand the principle of it. Will you give me another one? I will not. At a principle, I will not give you another gift card. All right. He just put $500 into our Bobby Boneshow lottery pool.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Now, if he could just help us win for once, that would be cool. Here he is. Left Box. I'm ready to play a game with you guys, and it's called What's your number one frustration with your spouse? No. That seems dangerous. I'm not playing that game.
Starting point is 00:04:01 What's yours? Yeah, you do yours first. My wife is now a lightweight when it comes. to drink and we went to a party on Saturday night and let me tell you Sunday was uh all me all day because she appeared out of the room at 11 a.m. for four minutes said I can't do it. She was that hungover. Yep, went back in the room till three o'clock. So you had all kids. All kids all day for me. And I was just like, what happened to you that you can't even have a couple drinks now and you're laid up all day? Like it's the time marches on. It's a frustration. It's a man, it was a
Starting point is 00:04:35 rough day for me, but yeah, that's my number one frustration. My wife is now a lightweight. Eddie, you want to play the game? No. I'm not playing. For me, it's when I wake up in the morning because she stays up four hours after me. I mean, sometimes lights are on, cupboards are open, maybe a jug of milks out. I'm like, what happened last night? Was there a party here? Why do you not put anything away when I go to bed?
Starting point is 00:04:55 That's good. Eddie? No, I'm not playing, man. Okay. Mine is probably, I used to just be able to get into a disagreement or just if we're arguing about something and just go, I don't even need to plan ahead. I can just figure my way out and win this thing with just my thoughts, my quick wit. I can't do that with her and she dominates these, especially if we're like, you said she has a photographic memory,
Starting point is 00:05:21 which is annoying. I think that's it. It all roots from her photographic memory because she can remember anything she's read, song lyrics after hearing a song once. She can spell words backwards because she can see it in her head. And anytime we get into an argument And she goes, nope, this is what you said. It's hard for me to disagree with that because I know she has a perfect memory.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Unless she just says stuff because she knows I know she has a perfect memory. So that is it. That frustrates you? Yes. Because if I don't go in with a game plan, I lose. So my new game plan is just, if we get into it and I know I'm sinking, I just am like, I'm not talking about this anymore. I go full mute.
Starting point is 00:05:56 That's good. Yes. And I go, it doesn't even deserve my words. And she knows. She's beating me. I never say that. Never admit it. So I'm going to say her photographic memory.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Eddie, you don't play? All right, I got one. Okay, good. You know what, man? It makes me so mad. Like, I've been rock and rolling for a long time, so my hearing's not great. Rock and rolling. Oh, do you play music?
Starting point is 00:06:13 Listen to music loud. Acoustic guitar in your bedroom? Rocking and rolling. Raging idiots? Raging idiots, dude. So my hearing's not that great. Now my wife says, like, I told you that. And I'm like, no, you didn't.
Starting point is 00:06:23 You never told. She's like, your ears are bad. I promise we had this conversation. I think she's making that up whenever she makes up that she told me something that I swear she never told me and she blames it on my hearing. I hate that. Do you have selective hearing or bad hearing? No, bad hearing, man.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I don't hear anything. And especially with four loud kids, I really don't hear anything. I never have that issue with you ever. What do you mean? I can say anything at a very low level. You hear it perfectly. And I hear it don't say that right now. Because my wife's people probably listen to.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Got it, got it. Okay, Ray, go in doing me. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas. He loves to play golf when he can. And sometimes he'll play with a fan. Bobby Bones. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:06:59 So there's a song from the 80s called Everybody Wants to Rule the World. Country artists will do like a, because this is very obscure. I mean, this song, who is this? I don't know. Tears for Fears. Is it tears for tears? Is that right? Yep.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Wow, that's crazy. This is ridiculous. This name is Anna Voss. Would you play this from the beginning she did? Everybody wants to rule the world? There's no turning back even while you sleep on your best behavior. Turn your life. back on mother nature
Starting point is 00:08:15 everybody wants to that's cool that's awesome why you'd pick that song I don't know that's what I like about it that's so cool so I only know about her because I'm looking for somebody to open my shows my comedically inspirational tour and I was like hey I'll pay
Starting point is 00:08:34 a thousand bucks a show I don't have anybody so just get at me and she's one of the people who message me I haven't responded I've responded anybody but I saw that from that that's good huh? Cool. Yeah, I like that a lot. That's cool. You guys can stream it. Mike gets up, right?
Starting point is 00:08:48 One of our songs. Anna Voss, A-N-A-V-A-U-S. All right, there you go. And if everybody in the podcast, it didn't get to hear that whole song because we can only play a little bit of it before we go to podcast jail. Just go search for it on one of your streaming. Are we all going to podcast jail or just you? I don't know if we all go over to jail or not.
Starting point is 00:09:06 But, all right, that's the deal. Thank you guys. Well, well, well, we're going to get into this mailbag. And I'd like to apologize in advance because Amy's not here. And you'll see why. But let's go to the mailbag now. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. My new neighbor does yard work in a bikini. That's it. Just a bikini and tennis shoes. I have two teenage boys and I've had to tell them to get inside every time. Because even though she seems close to my age, all they want to do is act like they're playing basketball so they can look at her. I've even heard them inviting friends over for it.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Is this something that we just deal with all summer? Or is there a way to say something? Has anyone ever been put in this position? I need help. This is just all so awkward. Signed, the nearly nude neighbor observer. Well, first of all, I don't think you can go and say anything because they are literally just doing what they're supposed to do, yard work,
Starting point is 00:10:05 and something that they can wear. They can wear in the front yard, they can wear in the backyard. If she had a pool in the backyard and she was in a bikini, it wouldn't be a problem. Right. So the fact that she's in the front yard, you really can't go and say anything. What you could do, which by the way, you should do nothing.
Starting point is 00:10:19 You really should do nothing. But what you could do is you could go over and apologize for your teenage sons who are constantly staring at her, which then may let her know that young boys are staring at her and then maybe she changes, but I definitely would not go over to say, hey, you need to not do that.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Because she's not doing anything wrong. Maybe she doesn't know that your son are inviting their friends over to look at her. Dude, you got to come over and check this out. Yes, maybe she doesn't know that. And the only way, I just don't think you should do anything, to be honest, though. But if you have to, that's how to do it
Starting point is 00:10:56 because you can't tell her what to do. She's not doing anything wrong. And that's the truth. Now I'm going to go over to Lunchbox. But that's what I say you should do. Lunchbox, go ahead. I say you go out and play basketball with your sons. Got it.
Starting point is 00:11:08 I knew that one. Absolutely. I mean, to see her in a bikini. She is out there in a bikini because she wants the attention. She wants people to say, wow, look at this girl. Look at those roses and you can see mountains at the same time. I said, I'm sorry. I said I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Okay, Eddie. Look, man, I'm going to mature about this. Yes. I had a neighbor that did this when I was growing up. Eddie was awesome. Yeah. But, like, hey, dude, the kids don't have to stare. I think it's more of a learning lesson for the dad like kids.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Look, I know it's awesome. That's cool, right? Don't stare. So they should play it cool so she'll do it more. Totally, yes. Don't make her feel uncomfortable. She's probably just trying to get a tan. Let's be real.
Starting point is 00:11:44 All right. Don't stare, boys. There you have it. There's really nothing you can do. She's doing nothing wrong. What's that address? No, there is no address. You should do nothing.
Starting point is 00:11:56 That's all. That's all. Oh, man. Enjoy your life. No, no. What do you mean? Yeah. He's lucky.
Starting point is 00:12:01 You only had to go to the pool. Great. If you want to, you know, get cooled off. Right. Give the water hose. To do what? I mean, make it like, and maybe she wants to run through the water hose. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Thank you. it up. We got your email and we let it on the air. Now it's about to close. Bobby's mail back. Yeah. Our executive producer is Scoba Steve. You know, he's a guy behind the scenes pulling all the levers, making everything happen.
Starting point is 00:12:29 He recently had a vasectomy. He had to miss the show for a while and then came back and was like, it hurts way more than it should. And then we found out that why it hurts is he went home the day after he had it done and got it on with his wife. Like the day he got it. The doctor said don't do that. He does it. of course it's going to hurt. That's like having surgery on your shoulder if you're a pitcher,
Starting point is 00:12:48 and then going out the next day in pitching and be like, I don't know if my arm, I'm not healing out. Exactly. So how is it feeling now? Now I'm actually feeling pretty good. It's been maybe two, two and a half weeks, and I feel totally normal. But what if you had a baby from that first time that you?
Starting point is 00:13:02 Well, she's also breastfeeding, so they say because of that that it doesn't happen. They say, yeah, they say that we should be in the clear until she stops doing that. But who's they? Doctors and things she reads online, all that stuff. I can't argue with her. Urban miss. She is the almighty.
Starting point is 00:13:16 What if they have another baby? Oh, no. And it's because he got a vasectomy and he had to just get it on right when he got home. Then I win. How do you win? Because I wanted a fourth kid. Lunchbox stinks that scuba Steve's making vasectomy's cool. Yeah, because I got a call from my brother and he said, man, I heard scuba Steve getting the vasectomy.
Starting point is 00:13:37 And now I made my appointment. He said, I had some of the same fears that scuba Steve had. and then I heard and then I heard Scoob and Steve live through it and him talk about how we live through it like it's something. Okay, go ahead. And he said, man, I heard it was painful and Scoot and he was like, but I made my appointment. So I think he goes either this Thursday or next Thursday to get a vasectomy. And his little quote was, scuba made me realize it was okay to cut it away. That rhymes.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Okay, cut it away. And I was like, that is Scuba Steve starting a trend in America. I think you said scuba Steve 20 times. Thank you for that. Yeah. I'm just trying to give you your credit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So do you think Scooba Steve's affected other men out there listening?
Starting point is 00:14:17 I think so. I think we probably have other listeners that heard Scooba's story and we're like, you know what? If Scuba can do it, so can I. Scoba, does your wife give you more respected home for doing it? She does, yeah. And I also want to speak to the guys out there who are like, oh, I went back to work the very next day after I shot a bear and carried in my back,
Starting point is 00:14:33 scund it and faded to my family. I had no pain. I want guys to just kind of be a little vulnerable for a moment. It hurts. I don't care who you are, what kind of pain tolerance you have. You got it on immediately when you got home. It's probably hurt for you worse. Yeah, it's probably your fault.
Starting point is 00:14:45 But even without doing that, it still was going to hurt. Like the procedure as a whole. So I want to know, thank you for that lunchboxing for your brother-in-law. We're going to normalize it and I want people to also normalize it. It's pretty normal. Yeah, without you, it was normal. It's pretty normal. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:57 My brother was not on board and Scuba got him on board. And I was anti-it as well until I didn't have a choice. And now I'm starting something apparently. Well, I've heard this whole storyline and I'm not thinking about it. I'm not going to do it. Well, you're past their prime. It doesn't matter for you anymore. past my prime.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Well, like your whole family situation. Well, that would should mean I really should get one. Well, I don't think you're going to have kids. Oh, we're not doing that. You're not in the wheel. You went a lot of things, but one of them is you have to get a vasectomy. Oh, can you imagine? Well, I guess your wife's already.
Starting point is 00:15:27 Yeah, man. She had her tubes down. Yeah. And, you know, if I don't have to mess with something in my body, why would I mess with it? Well, okay, correct. Yeah. Why go in there? Had she not already had that procedure done to her.
Starting point is 00:15:40 Yes. And to clarify, she had a C-section, so the doctor is like, while she's, we're doing that, we can just tie her tubes. And my wife said, sure, go for it. She said it like that all pumped up. Not that, not that easy. Scooby, you're back to 100? Back to 100, yeah. It can't be done.
Starting point is 00:15:56 I can't believe he went home and just got it immediately. I know, man. He's a dude. I think even if he, listen, there's a chance he lied about it. No, not at all. It just heard something so he made the story up. Not at all. I can show us.
Starting point is 00:16:06 No, no. No, no. You can show us. Oh, my gosh. He videos it. Oh my gosh. All right. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:16:15 With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. Bill Lins is a U.S. Marine veteran, and he came back from serving 12 years in Iraq and Afghanistan. But when he came back, of course, there's the PTSD. Man, he was really struggling. But thanks to canines for Warriors, they hooked him up with a dog named Link. And so once he got Link, he said it just changed his life here he is talking about it. We do everything together, and we fit together so well.
Starting point is 00:16:41 He has changed my world from where I was completely in my head at all times to like letting me exist in my surroundings and in the present. Bill was really lonely, drinking a lot. He was really having a hard time. But that's awesome that he got Link and he's changed his life. I've been fortunate enough to be part of the process of a lot of different service members getting dogs either through this show where we've raised money for dogs. And we've gotten many. And they're just so expensive, which is what we wanted to bring attention to. It's like $20,000 a service dog.
Starting point is 00:17:10 Like, who can afford that, right? And then with Purina over the years, we've done a lot with, you know, folks that come back from overseas with PTSD and what service dogs mean to them. And a service dog is right for everybody. But for those that it is right for, it does a lot of things. One, you know, having worked with them firsthand, a lot of them say, well, it gives me something to care for other than just myself, which sometimes is good because it takes the attention off of just focusing on yourself. But sometimes that attention is just like, okay, all I remember is the bad stuff. Secondly, there were different, a couple guys that had severe PTSD that would hit them in their sleep in the form of nightmares. And these dogs were trained to crawl into the bed and lay on top of them.
Starting point is 00:17:52 You know how sometimes they have those heavy blankets for like anxiety for the head? The dog would waited blankets. Literally do that. Would crawl up and lay on top of them. These dogs were trying to do a lot of different things for a lot of different reasons. And it's just great to hear when one actually works out and is making a life of a service member. better because of that. And what's really cool is a lot of these dogs are shelter dogs that were rescued.
Starting point is 00:18:13 And so they take the time to train them, how to do serve, how to be service dogs. And there they go. I mean, they've changed their life too. That's a great story. That is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying. Yep, that's me.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Clipper Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
Starting point is 00:18:45 This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music.
Starting point is 00:19:02 The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast. It's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:19:18 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker.
Starting point is 00:19:38 a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you're watching the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you already know there's a lot to break down.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Georgia accusing Kelly of sleeping with a merry man. They holding Kay Michelle back from fighting Drew. Pinky has financial issues. I like the bougie style of Housewives show. I think it looks like to be interesting. On the podcast, Reality with the King, I, Carlos King, recap the biggest moments from your favorite reality shows, including the Real Housewives franchise, the drama, the alliances, and the team everybody's talking about. As an executive producer in reality television, I'm not just watching it. I understand the game. As somebody who creates shows, I'll even say this.
Starting point is 00:21:04 At the end of the day, when people are at home, they want entertainment. To hear this and more, listen to you. to Reality with the King on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. If you missed it yesterday, there was a 911 call in Vegas, like a UFO crashes, and then like a nine-foot creature's in the backyard of somebody. Here they go.
Starting point is 00:21:28 We were working, and we just see in a corner where something falls on from the sky, and it was with light, and when I hit down, it was like a big impact, and we felt like an energy, and then we hear like a lot of footsteps near us. There's like an eight-foot person beside it, and another one is inside, and it has big eyes and looking at us. So there's two people or two subjects that are in your backyard? Correct. They look like aliens to us.
Starting point is 00:21:52 They're shiny eyes, and they're not human. They're 100% they're not human. The police's body cam saw the thing falling out of this guy. This guy calls 911 to seize this. He's not an actor. He hasn't been drinking. And that's okay if you don't believe it, but I want to play it because there's too much smoke for there to be no fire. Now Heather is on the phone who's in Indiana.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Heather, what is your story here? I was 13 years old and I was at a slumber party at my friend's house. And it was like 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning and like their whole house had lit up. And we were looking out the window kind of seeing what was going on. And we saw this huge thing in the sky with like these spotlight shining down. And we saw it land in this cornfield because obviously we're from Indiana and there's cornfields everywhere. And when this gate thing folded down, all you could see was these shiny looking things inside this, whatever it was. It freaked us out so bad.
Starting point is 00:22:49 We ran and hid in the bathroom. So then the next morning, when we got up, we walked out into the cornfield. These corn stalks were folded over, and it was as wide as like a silo would be, just in the middle of this cornfield. So what do you think happened? I personally think it was truly a UFO and there were aliens on it. To this day, I 100% imposit it was. So when Eddie and lunchbox go,
Starting point is 00:23:20 like when you're telling your story, Heather, what would you like to say to them? You better believe it because it's true. My beautiful brown eyes saw it and nine other girls did too. The thing that throws me off is all these UFOs look just like the ones in the movies. She described it? Were the ones in the movies based off of people who saw them way earlier and was able to tell. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:23:42 No, you don't know that. Those are people just like, eh, this is probably what it looks like. No, you don't know that. What you're saying, though, is not fair because you don't know and you're acting like what you're saying is absolute truth. You don't know if the early versions of UFOs are based off of reports. All right, you got me there. So. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:59 But I mean, come on. The fact that it's just like a movie, that's a nine-year-old or however old she was in imagination, seen what she saw in a movie like a few weeks ago. Heather, your response? No, no, no, no. I am not a sci-fi nerd person whatsoever in my life. I don't watch those kind of movies, and I'm telling you, why would they be shiny looking? Because in the movies, they're green or whatever color. They're not shiny.
Starting point is 00:24:24 E.T. was kind of shiny. Yeah. No, it's kind of like grayish brown or something. Yeah, but it looks slimy, too, a little bit. Do people think you're crazy when you tell this story, Heather? I'm crazy all the time. They say that, yeah. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:24:35 But I will stand by my. story to this day. Do you have friends that you still talk to that were with you that night that can stand by you and go, I saw it too? Absolutely. I sure do. It was the birthday girl. Do you ever not tell the story because you don't want to be judged? Sometimes I mean, I haven't probably told this story in a few years because, you know, being labeled as crazy or seeing things. But when I, you know, when I go out to lunch or dinner with my friend Tiffany, we talk about it every time. your question. I mean, it's a really great present
Starting point is 00:25:09 from her parents to scare you guys into going to sleep too also. They're like, okay, they're up late enough, let's throw something out in the cornfield. Oh, yeah. I scare them, get them to go to bed. Do you scare kids to sleep? I think that's the opposite of what you would do to get someone to sleep. Yeah, I'll like you do that, actually. Okay, Heather, I appreciate
Starting point is 00:25:25 you sharing that with me. I'm here for you, and I'm sorry that happened to you. Well, I will get a hold of my friend, and I will maybe get her and we can get together, and we can call in and, you know, she can confirm my story. Love it. Yeah, she's going to go over the details with her before they call in. So that way they have the exact
Starting point is 00:25:43 same story. It'll be perfect. Like when you talk to the cops. Yeah. Okay. Get it lined up. Heather had no reason to call us. She's not getting a prize. You're just sharing her story. You guys are being rude to her. Heather, thank you when they're enslaved by aliens. They're going to go, dang it. I wish I would have Oh, no. All right, thanks guys.
Starting point is 00:25:57 All right, bye-bye. There she is. Heather. See, guys? You just don't know and you're acting like you know. I don't know either. But I'm not acting like I know. But you're like you know they are there. No, no, you're believing. I'm saying if it was anything else, you guys would be like, yeah, there's a lot of smoke. So it's probably some sort of fire.
Starting point is 00:26:14 Like what, Bigfoot? Okay. No, Bigfoot's not real. There's a lot of smoke. There's not smoke. There's not smoke. We have really high-ranking government officials, people in the Air Force. They have a lot more credibility than you knuckleheads.
Starting point is 00:26:28 But it doesn't matter. But it doesn't matter. We played a 911 call a second ago from a guy who saw, something in his backyard. He said, doesn't look like humans. It's nine feet tall. There was also an alien or a UFO crash according to a police officer's body cam nearby. Yes, it should say UFO. It could be anything, right, guys? Yeah, anything. So, we're going to play a game here based on 911 calls. Okay. I'll play you a 911 recording and you tell me what they were calling for. Now, I'll play it, then I'll give you a few options. This sounds fun. We'll do an example now. Here's
Starting point is 00:27:00 number one. 129-1. Still there, sir? Yes, that's no, ma'am. I'm sorry about that. What's your last name, Mary? Sorry. Are you stopped right now? Yes, I am. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Now, were they calling to report an offensive bumper sticker? Were they calling to report a drunk driver, but the drunk driver was them? Or are they called just because their kids wanted to see fire trucks and ambulances with lights and sirens? What would you guess, they're, breezy, B, they're calling on a drunk driver, but the driver is them. Yeah? Drunk driver, driver, them. The answer is? What, 29-1-1.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Somebody's really drunk driving down Carratton Road Okay, are you behind them or? No, I am them. You am them? Yes, I am them. Okay, so you want to call and report that you're driving drunk?
Starting point is 00:27:45 Yes. Are you still driving right now? Yes. Do you want to stop driving before you get an accident? Yes, I will stop. You guys got the point. I like how the driver is like,
Starting point is 00:27:56 the operators make, yeah, just as them. I like how the guy answering the phone's like, Wanting to laugh, but doesn't. We will come back and play more of that game. Give us like three minutes or so. Next. I'm going to play you a 911 recording of someone calling for an unusual reason,
Starting point is 00:28:16 and then I'll give you a few options. You pick why they're calling 911. Okay, here we go, number one. 911, do the entire medical police? No, ma'am, I don't. Now, was this lady calling in a bomb threat so she wouldn't miss her job interview? Was she calling because she wanted to know, you know, know what's the best breakfast place? I'm from out of town.
Starting point is 00:28:35 Or she called because she thought the cop who came to her house was attractive. Now I want you to hear her voice again at the very beginning of the call. 911. Did she be calling for? What would she be calling for? Really not a lot to go from except her voice. That's good. What do you think? I got to see that she wants the officer that responded to come back because she thinks he's hot.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Eddie? I'm going to say she's out of town. wants to know where to go eat. 911 for breakfast place. Okay, here you go. I don't have an emergency, too. Police officers just left my house just now. Could you get the names, please?
Starting point is 00:29:10 It doesn't come very often. A good-looking man comes at your doorstep. Did you turn back my way? Do you need them to come back there? Oh, I'd like that, yeah. Why do you need them to come back there? Because I have an emergency. I'll think of something.
Starting point is 00:29:24 He's cute. Awesome. Would you turn back? I think of partners. Try him back my way, would you? Okay. And what is the reason? My dog.
Starting point is 00:29:32 Just blame it on my dog. What on earth? Are all these callers going to be drunk? Yeah. They're going back there and they're probably going to arrest her. Yeah. For misuse of 911. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:29:41 Remember, you're not getting much here. But what if they get, what if they do? Go back arrest her and then they do make a love connection. That's great. That'd be cool. It's a good story. But still, she has to pay the penalty. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:29:50 For calling 911. Here we go. Next up. 911, Dini, police fire and ambulance. Police. Where? Okay, it's a McDonald's from Delaware. What's going on there?
Starting point is 00:30:02 Okay, so she wants them at McDonald's, right? That's tough. That's easy. So did she call because there were no real peanuts in her packing peanuts? Did she call because she didn't get her chicken nuggets? Or did she call because the drive-thru line was too long, so she wanted an officer to come and help her get through the drive-thru? Oh, now it's getting good.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm between two. Yeah, because I don't know the answer here. The first one's ridiculous. The pack of peanuts doesn't really make sense context-wise. The Nuggets or the drive-through line? Which one? Got it. Yeah, I got it.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Both you guys end, so you're going to cheat. Right, right-trace. All right, let her down. Yep. All right, here we go. Eddie, drive-thru line. Lunch, bikes. Messed up order.
Starting point is 00:30:41 Forgot the Nuggets. All right, here we go. I ordered a two-pitched chicken nuggets with a small fight, and she'd say that they didn't have any chicken nuggets, but she don't have one of a million. What I wanted, I wanted chicken nuggets. That's supposed she didn't have that if I'd probably give them neck dabble and just to find a different.
Starting point is 00:30:58 and you say she can't do that because I probably will just give me all my money games and I don't want anything. Oh my gosh. It's just not why you call 911. What are they doing? There's no nugget need to call 911. Could you call 911 though
Starting point is 00:31:12 if you're getting upset about that? Like you hear a lot of bonehead stories. Like you might hurt somebody? Right, right. But you're calling it on yourself like the drive it in the last segment. I need 911 because I'm about to go crazy. I'm about to lose it.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Or if you're choking on a nugget, maybe. Yeah, that's legit. 911. All right, one more. Here's the beginning of the call. Say one night's emergency. Yeah, can you please send rescue? Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:34 I'm going to play one more time, listen to this guy because did he, A, call because he's having a bad trip on special brownies. B, stomach ache from eating watermelon and throwing almost growing in a stomach because he swallowed seeds. Or C, he locked himself inside his own car, leading the dispatcher to explain to him that he could just open the door. Here you go, hear it again. Say one high some urgency. Yeah, can you please send rescue? So bad trip on special brownies. stomach ache from watermelon growing in a stomach,
Starting point is 00:32:01 or he's locked in his own car. This is tough. That's a grab bag. Yeah, he's a grab bag because they're all so good. I got it. Yeah, me too. I'm in. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:32:12 He's on a bad trip, man. Eddie? I think he's locked in his own car. Let's hear it. I think I'm having an overdose of his still with my wife. Okay, do you and your wife? Yeah. Overdose of what?
Starting point is 00:32:21 Marijuana. How much did you guys have? I don't know. We made brownies, and I think we're dead. I really do. Okay, how much did you put in the brownies? I don't know. Was it a bad?
Starting point is 00:32:33 Who made the brownies? My wife and I did. Time is going by really, really, really, really slow. He thinks they're dead. But he's talking. He thinks he thinks he's dead. I mean, hilarious. Lunchbox, you are the winner three to see you all.
Starting point is 00:32:48 9-1-1. Let's go. Well, he is the 911 king. He calls it more than anybody. Yeah, yeah. I've ever met my whole life. Okay, so there's that. We've got the pile coming up in a minute.
Starting point is 00:32:59 And don't forget tickets to my comedically inspirational show in Nashville. Go on sell this Friday at 10 a.m. Central. If you want to come, it'll be awesome. It's a comedy show. It's way more than that. But get tickets on Friday at 10 a.m. at bobbybones.com. 10 a.m. Central time. Here is a voicemail from Jenny in Texas.
Starting point is 00:33:17 When you're walking your dog and you pick up their stuff, can you throw it away in someone else's trash in that's still out on the street or do you have to take it back to your house? and throw it away in your outdoor trash can. Just looking for some etiquette here. Okay, thanks. I think I would throw it away in someone else's trash can if it was on the street. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:37 The only problem is with our trash cans, everything has to be bagged up individually because they pick them up by hand and put them in the truck. They don't do the dump it in. Oh. And I don't think it's normal. I think it's because of where we live. So I would think if you're in the neighborhood where the trash man comes by,
Starting point is 00:33:51 they grab the can and just dump it all in, it's fine. But if you were to do that to ours, they have to get it with their hand. Yeah, that's not good. So most people, they do keep it in a bag and take it all the way home or to an outdoor trash can. But I would think if you're walking in your neighborhood,
Starting point is 00:34:07 you know the trash can rules. I think for the most part, it's okay to just put it in the trash can because otherwise you can just leave it on the ground and we don't want that. So I'm going to go yes unless for some weird reason you know you're in a neighborhood
Starting point is 00:34:17 where it's weird, like mine. I can't imagine the guy going, oh, I got to get that out with my hand. That'd be terrible. That'd be terrible. Does that go for everything else too, like if you're drinking like a cup. Oh, you finish your cup. Oh, that's the trash can right there.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Yeah. Yes. In general. And can you walk up to the side of their house to put it in? No, you have to be on the road. By the garage? Yeah, you can't really walk on someone's property unless there's a chance you want to get shot. Right, right. Because you can't just walk onto someone's property. You know, because sometimes they put them by the side of the fence, you know, the side of the house. Yeah, and if it's on the side of the road,
Starting point is 00:34:46 you can do it, but I wouldn't walk on someone's property to use their trash can. Just asking for a friend. Yeah, cool, cool, cool. Here's Amy's pile of stories. six, so I'm here. We'll start with this one. At the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, they announced a new check-in feature that will make it easier to check in with loved ones. According to the company, the new iOS 17 iMessage gesture will send automatic updates to selected contacts to let them know when you arrive at your destination if you choose to let them know
Starting point is 00:35:18 that you're arriving at your destination. You can do find now, you can turn your location on and you can see where each other is. But let's say, they're like, okay, Eddie, you're going home, check you on me when you get home. Yeah, I'll worry about you overnight. And do I've said it before I leave? Well, they don't really go into how specific it is, but it'll probably be like that where you type in something boom good, and when you get there, it sends the message.
Starting point is 00:35:42 That's cool. That way if somebody forgets, it doesn't matter. Like if you, to your kid, like, hey, let me know when you get there. Oh, yeah. They might forget. No, they always forget. But according to this, it will now send a check in. And it will also track a trip, send automatic updates.
Starting point is 00:35:55 if the person that you're tracking is late or changes from their route. Wow, that's awesome. It's like the ultimate mom and dad tool here. But that is from a source called Scary Mommy. A 10 food hacks. Number one, using a baby monitor to keep an eye on the temperature of a smoker. Okay. Oh.
Starting point is 00:36:12 Yeah, that's good. They do have Bluetooth on some smokers, but I'll do that. I never set up Bluetooth on anything but my phone and a speaker. Really? All kinds of stuff comes with Bluetooth now. And I'm like, why would you even need that? Dude, the Bluetooth on the spoker is awesome because I can be a church and be like, oh, let me check my thing.
Starting point is 00:36:26 Okay, good. $2.50. We're still good. You leave it? Oh, set it and forget it. Yeah, what do I not know about a smoker then? It's not like a girl. No, no, it's just, it's a very long cook.
Starting point is 00:36:36 So say like an eight-hour brisket, right, or nine-hour brisket. You want to make sure that temperature's the same. And if it's not, you can gradually move it on your phone by Bluetooth. Okay, but follow me here. You're not supposed to leave a curling iron on when you leave the house, but you can leave a whole smoker on it. Yeah. It's outside. But outside can catch on fire.
Starting point is 00:36:54 It's contained. Yeah, it's good. So is a curling iron. It's not supposed to catch up. No, curling iron's in your, like, bathroom. No, I'm saying contained. Okay, but really no fires from smokers. No, man.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Set it and forget it. Eating a hard taco over a soft tortilla shell. So if everything drops onto the hard taco, it goes on to the soft taco, then you can eat a second taco. Okay. Number three, mathematically, one 18-inch pizza has more pizza than two 12-inch's pizzas. I don't care of one. I don't understand that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:27 I don't really do the math either here. I'm just reading this. Mixing a few cereals together for variety. It does that and to regulate sweetness levels. Amy talked about doing this with her son and her daughter because they like sweet cereal so she would mix it in with some of the adult cereals to make it not so sweet, which is fine. For easy to eat s'mores, try making them in ice cream cones. Like a waffle cone?
Starting point is 00:37:48 Try to think of it. So cone. Yeah. Cone waffles. Cone and then chocolate, the marshmallow, I guess. So you got the cone, you can put the chocolate on the marshmallow, and then put that over the fire. Yeah, I'm not going to read all these, but steaming your vegetables while cooking pasta noodles by placing a cookie cooling rack over your pot of boiling spaghetti, adding the vegetables on top of it,
Starting point is 00:38:08 and then lay in the lid over the top, so they'll steam over the pasta. Okay. Explain that to me because I got lost halfway through. I don't cook. So you got the pot, right? It's boiling water. You put the pasta in there, and that's going to produce. I see my wife do that sometimes.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Not you. That's going to produce steam. Got it. So on top of the pot, you put something else like the veggies. Oh, like a cookie sheet. Totally. Oh, that is pretty good. It steams it.
Starting point is 00:38:26 All right. The average wedding now costs $29,000. The latest data shows that the average wedding period in the United States is almost 30 grand. And basically, everything costs more than it did before the pandemic, except for the groom's attire, which is cheaper. Yeah, yeah. We don't care as much. Well, for some reason, things always end up easier for us. Most of because we don't care.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Even the price of the DJ is up 25% from before the pandemic. So that is from Axios and Zola. Dirk's Bentley jokes, he wouldn't mind joining Lany Wilson on Yellowstone. I think everybody now wants to be an actor and all the country people know that maybe they can get on Yellowstone. So him joking it. It's like me joking. Yeah, I'd host ACMs or CMAs. He really wants to.
Starting point is 00:39:08 Yeah, you really want to. So you just say you're joking. So in case they don't call you, it's just a joke, you know. Americans are retiring earlier than they had expected. Come on. Okay, but I hear you, but you don't just get to quit. Hey, keep reading this. This is awesome.
Starting point is 00:39:23 Americans are currently retiring earlier than they expected, but four out of five still struggle with the retirement process. A survey of 2,000 retired Americans found that they, well, initially expected to retire at a certain age. What age do you think you'll retire, guys, before I tell you this age? 55. Yeah, that's what they say. Wow.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Yeah. No, that's not what they say. Fifty-five is not what they say. Eleven years from now. Oh, it's not? No. So most people think, though, retire at 63 years old. Oh, no, that's too old.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Beating the median point by almost two years. So 65 is the normal. Wow. However, 81% admit to having difficulties even if they waited until then. But you guys haven't started saving at all for retirement, but you're going to retire in 10 years. I don't understand how that worked. Well, I do. I have started saving.
Starting point is 00:40:06 Like, I pick up, like, if I pay with cash, like, if it's $2.3, I give them $3. And that 97 cents goes in a jar towards retirement. And I hear you? And normally I wouldn't care. And I'd be like, hey, just do your own thing. I don't want to make fun of you. guys talk all the time about how retirement is your number one goal can't wait you just want to quit work oh gosh it's going to be amazing but then i say well how are you going to do that and then
Starting point is 00:40:25 you say announce it no you just can't announce retirement social security man yeah that ain't that ain't going to work either at what age can i get that i don't know 65 i'm just guessing oh well then how can i retire but it's also not going to be as much as you think it is if it even exists then there's no promise it exists in but we've been putting money in it this whole time and then they're going to take it away from us who are you going to sue i don't know whoever took it. The president. Sue the president. Finally, the six second rule could boost your relationship.
Starting point is 00:40:54 Right. So if you kiss, your significant other, they say at least once a day kissed them for six seconds solid. That's kind of long. One, two, three. Yeah, I'm done. Four, five. That's full French kiss. Yeah, that is.
Starting point is 00:41:10 Yeah, I like it. That's full tongue. At least once a day. Once a day. Yeah, good luck. Yeah, I don't know if I do that. This guy, John Gottman, who's a psychologist. marriage and family therapist says that, yeah, this is pretty accurate. If you can give one six-second kiss a day, it will help your marriage. And also your work relationship.
Starting point is 00:41:27 Come on lunch. Six seconds. Let her rip. You can start receiving your Social Security retirement benefits as early as age 62. Okay. However, you are entitled to full benefits when you reach your full retirement age. So you only get partial at 62. If you delay taking your benefits from your full retirement age up to 70, your benefit amount will increase.
Starting point is 00:41:45 Oh. Yeah, but 70, you're pretty much done. Oh, pretty much. You can't even walk. Life. What are you going to do? Those two actors just had babies. De Niro and Shapiro or whatever.
Starting point is 00:41:55 They're filthy rich. Who's the other one, De Niro and Pacino? Yeah, De Niro and Shapiro. That was Amy's pile of story. It's time for the good news. Oh, it's Bobby. Tell me something good. And now a very personal tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:42:11 This is Brandi in San Antonio. Brandi, what's going on? Hi, Bobby. Hi, morning, so. Morning to you. I was in New York City this past weekend. I was up there for the Petco Love adoption event in Union Square. And there was a family who was walking through, looking at all of the different animals that were there for adoption that day.
Starting point is 00:42:37 And they saw their dog that had been missing since January as one of the adoptable pets with animal care centers of New York City. Wow. They got their dog back. That's crazy. Were you there when that happened? I know you said that happened there, but were you, did you see it with your own eyeballs? So I know I was working the event. I'm part of Techco Love and we were hosting the event.
Starting point is 00:43:04 Yeah. I was in a different area of the park. But my life saving director like grabbed me and she was like, hey, go find this person because this is happening. So it was really cool. Would be one of the greatest feelings ever to see your dog that was gone. That you're like, that's our dog. Oh my God. and then hopefully they didn't make them pay an adoption fee
Starting point is 00:43:20 because you already owned that. Yeah, I mean, six months later, that's why you're there getting another dog because you think it's never happening. Hey, Brandy, I appreciate that story. Thanks for sharing it with us. Yeah, no problem. There is no adoption fee paid
Starting point is 00:43:32 and Petco gave them my free grooming for their puppy. That's good. There you go. That is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:43:44 Yep, that's me. Clipper Taylor the 4th. You might have seen this. The skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationship. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On a recent episode of the podcast Money and Wealth with John Ho'Brien, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money.
Starting point is 00:45:49 What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about, like, I'm going to get rich. That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Starting point is 00:46:37 On the phone, it's Alex, who lives in Austin, Texas. Hey, Alex, good morning. Good morning. How you doing, buddy? I'm doing all right, man. It may be a little loud. I'm actually in an airport in Greece. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Well, we appreciate you calling from overseas. So what's the deal here? Do you work in a travel agency or something like that? I own my own travel agency. Yeah, I actually started it last year. And just, you know, a businessman making business deals trying to get that money, you know? Yes, sir, I do. I do.
Starting point is 00:47:07 We got another business guy here, except you do stuff. Hey, so Ray Mundo thinks he's being scammed. Well, I guess you think it's real, Ray. We think it's a scam, right? You? Because Ray was just offered a free cruise through his Instagram. DMs. So what do you want to say about this? I want to say that
Starting point is 00:47:23 through my connections, I've got something that I can hook them up with. Wait, are you the guy? There is some money. Are you the guy? Messaging Yes, that's me. Oh, got it. Okay, that makes sense. Hello? Got it, got it. This is not about you, Lunchbox. He takes my slogan and he offers it to someone
Starting point is 00:47:41 else. Alex, go ahead. So what are you off? You know what? I sent Lunchbox to DM too, so he can't sit here crying. Dang. There you go. So what are you offering Ray? I am offering Ray a free cruise. I have to take it by the end of the year. And all I ask in return is for him to tag me, tag my agency. And just post once a day.
Starting point is 00:48:06 If he, you know, just kind of just showing the cruise line and everything that's happening on the cruise. So, but how are you getting this for free to give to him for free? Well, I have, I've negotiated some things with the cruise lines. it's helping me do things like this. I am putting in some of my money from my agency, because I have to pay things like taxes and things like that. But that's, you know,
Starting point is 00:48:29 my business giving the advertising money. Is this like Fire Fest where Ray goes and the one thing there is? Crifers and cheese sandwich. It's a legit cruise line for sure. Ray, how do you feel about this now? I mean, it sounds legit as it can be. I guess he could fake this phone call, but if he's got me cruise information,
Starting point is 00:48:47 I'm in Miami and there's a cruise ship in front of me, it can't be fake. You can't fake all that. So I believe it 100%. And he's in Greece. How do we know that? He can't lie about that too. And he said, forgive me, it's loud here. And it's really not loud of that. There's no loud at all.
Starting point is 00:49:00 It's not like, yeah. Yes. Okay, Alex. So I'm out of Austin. My agency's out of Austin. I've listened to you guys since y'all were in Austin. You know, I'm a legit agency. I even sent a message to Amy as well.
Starting point is 00:49:13 I know her and her sister thinking about going to Alaska. What time is in Greece right now? Quickly. What time is in Greece? Right now it is. It is about to be five. That's correct. He nailed that.
Starting point is 00:49:22 Yeah. Okay, he's in Greece. Man, I don't have him. I'm looking through my Instagram. I can't find this dude. But you're not offering... Wait, are you offering Ray a trip with him and his wife, or just Ray by himself? No, I said, it's for him and his wife.
Starting point is 00:49:36 Goose! He would be in a balcony cabin. I also sent the same offer to Morgan for a free cruise. She just never responded, so... Ray's the only one that digs to his DMs for freestyle. Yeah, yeah. Makes sense. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:48 I'll take it. I mean, that's... easily hundreds of dollars and you get to go to Mexico or wherever for free. Why would you go? Don't settle for Mexico, Ray. You can go to Greece or Italy. It's free. No, no, but if you're going to take free, you take the most expensive one. Yeah, I did some looking into it. I guess those ones take off from Barcelona and stuff. Yeah. You're going to have to fly to Barcelona. I don't even know where that is, but I'll go. In Spain. I'm there. You have to pay your way to Spain. No, he just said it's free.
Starting point is 00:50:12 The cruise is not to travel to get there. Okay. So what is it? $500 to get to Greece? Yeah, on Southwest. Let me see how I want Get on that Okay Alex, thank you for calling in And sharing your insight here Thanks Bobby Ray, you're gonna do this?
Starting point is 00:50:29 Honestly, I've been negotiating with the dude I'm totally in for free What's the negotiation? The dates, if it's gonna work out With my schedule and stuff like that And I was trying to get You know, like, upgraded cabin I want like balcony and nice stuff
Starting point is 00:50:40 You're trying to upgrade freedom He just said balcony Yeah Okay Hey Alex, you can say the name of your place What's the name of your place? It's next level travel and my Instagram is next level travel advisor.
Starting point is 00:50:51 Okay. There he is. Pretty cool. I won't ready to go just to see if he comes back alive. Barcelona is expensive, man. Yeah. $1,000 each. Just to get there.
Starting point is 00:51:01 But hey, then I get a free trip out of that. Let's go. What's this thing? I'm looking it up in my mind. All right, Alex, thank you, and I'm sure Ray will be in touch soon. Amy's out sick today. So for the morning, corny,
Starting point is 00:51:12 we're all going to go around the room and do our own. Yes. Yeah. So, Ray, hit me with that. Morning Corny, G-Gee. The morning corny. Watchbox.
Starting point is 00:51:21 What's the difference between a toilet and a cemetery? Go. Absolutely nothing. When it's time to go, it's time to go. I like that. Where does the boat go when it's sick? Where does the boat go when it's sick? The boat dock.
Starting point is 00:51:37 Oh, dog. What's that, Doc? Got it. Okay. Morgan. What do you call a duck on the 4th of July? What do you call a duck on the 4th of July? A fire quacker.
Starting point is 00:51:47 Nice. Quack. You're having a hard time understanding these, man. Well, that's just so many. I'm getting peppered with jokes right now. I got to go one or the other. Ray?
Starting point is 00:51:56 What do you call an iPhone bent and half? What? It's a little. It looks like he did. Guys, am I just not feeling it was Ray's joke terrible? That was pretty bad.
Starting point is 00:52:08 Okay, just making sure. Did you really find that online? It's a play on a juice drink. It's an iPhone, Apple, bet and half. Snaple. It's very, very similar. Guys, I'm telling you ain't going to convince me that.
Starting point is 00:52:17 Ray, I think yours was better than Eddie's. Yeah. Ray, say yours again. Maybe I'm missing something. What do you call an iPhone bent in half? But what's that to do with Snapple? It's snapped in half. No, the drink.
Starting point is 00:52:29 It's a drink. It all works together. No, I get snapped Apple. No, I get snapped Apple, but what do it's not? And it's also. The drink, nothing. It's the two. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:52:36 It's a play on both of them. He's using two products in one. I didn't set up a drink, but there's no drink at all mentioned in any part of this. Right. I get snap and Apple, but there's no. Oh my God. Abby. Let's go over to Abby who is standing by.
Starting point is 00:52:51 Go ahead, Abby. Okay, what did the left eye say to the right eye? What did the left eye say to the right eye? Between us, something smells. Okay. The nose. The nose. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Okay. What do you get when you cross a centipede with a parrot? A walkie-talkie. Cineapede, all the legs? I get it. Parat-talkie. Hey, I'm joked out, man. That was.
Starting point is 00:53:19 the morning corny. Amy, please come back. On the phone is Jared James. He is a lottery expert. Jared is it more of a scratch-off expert than like playing the balls, the lottery balls? Yeah, absolutely. Thanks for having me on today, guys. Appreciate it. Yeah, absolutely. You know, that's kind of how my company, Lotto Edge, we actually started was on scratch-offs. And it's crazy. You know, most lottery sales, like 65% of lottery sales are scratch-offs. And, you know, people think, yeah, people think it's like the powerball mega million, but most sales are scratchoffs, and that's kind of our wheelhouse then. What's your background as far as math, business, et cetera? Yes, I was an accounting major,
Starting point is 00:54:00 believe it or not. I'm a CPA, so a certified public accountant and used to be at one of the big four firms, you know, Pricewaterhouse Cupers. And after that, went into banking and was a mergers and acquisitions guy for one of the big banks. So always been a numbers guy. And, you know, kind of my background, you know, coming up with this whole concept and idea, kind of like a lot of entrepreneurs came out of a personal frustration that I had and just kind of took my knowledge of numbers and analysis and analytics and said, I think I can do something here to help people specifically around scratchoffs. So we pulled all of our money here at the show.
Starting point is 00:54:39 We have accumulated after all the pooling $2,000. Oh, nice. Exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so we're going to go and we're going to buy some scratch. here at one of the gas stations and try to make some money. What is your advice to us specifically where we are? All right.
Starting point is 00:54:55 So I got a few things to unload on you here. So one of the crazy things about scratch-off is it varies staked-to-state. And you guys are in Tennessee. And one of the downsides is they're not very open with the information they share. So you almost put you guys at a disadvantage of some other states because there are so many cool ways to actually dive in and look at, to look at scratch- Jeffs. And what we kind of always tell players is, is, you know, it's not just, you know, completely random. Our motto is like luck favors prepared. So you want to play the game that has the best odds of winning, right? So, and everybody, you know, we weren't just talking to players all
Starting point is 00:55:33 over the country. Everybody has like a different strategy of winning, you know, like as in, you know, you might be after $1,000. I'm after $10,000 and somebody else is after the million dollar prizes. And no matter what you're after, it's a different game that has the best odds to win that. that's kind of how you want to hone in is have your own kind of prize targeted in mind and really focused it on which game specifically is the best for you. We want the prize of a whole lot of money, the most money possible. And so what do you have any idea of the games that we should even try to play here? All right. So this is, so this is actually like one of my absolute favorite things and you guys could do in Tennessee. So we don't have Tennessee on lot of wedge.com yet,
Starting point is 00:56:14 but we have tons of other states. But here is a, I, I think, one of my, probably favorite strategies out there that not many people do. So with older games, there's not a lot of tickets left, right? So maybe it's been out there for two, three years, and people are tired of it. They're not playing it. On the flip side, then a lot of lottery retailers aren't carrying it. But here's what's interesting is some of these games, and it doesn't happen every time, but when it happens, it's a great opportunity. These older games might have a big top prize still out there. And those are ripe for the pick-in as far as odds. And I'm going to give you like a real example of what I'm talking about. So Georgia lottery right now.
Starting point is 00:56:52 You know, if I remember I was actually watching one of year old videos, I think lunchboxes, a balloon friend was in Georgia, if I'm right? Correct. Yeah. So the, um, there's a game there in Georgia. The odds to win the top prize were like one, it was a two million dollar top prize, right? And the odds to win were one in one point six million tickets. But having a really old game and there's not many, not many tickets left. And we estimate about, 90,000 tickets are left in this game. There's one $2 million prize still there. So playing a game like that where there's only a few, very few tickets still remaining, but there's still a huge top prize out there, that's where you're going to want to go after is try to find that kind of opportunity. If you were to go to a gas station and buy an entire role of scratchoffs,
Starting point is 00:57:39 $20 scratchoffs, doesn't matter which one, but a whole role, does that give you a better shot than going, I'll take that $20 one and that $20 one and that $10 one? You know, it should, right? So if you think about it, so the average odds are the odds to hit a prize on average. And for like a $20 ticket, it might be one in three tickets. Now, it doesn't mean every third ticket's a winner, but on average, about one and three tickets would be a winner. So going and picking one off at each role, you might get one of those three that's a loser. You go to the next role, one of the three is a loser.
Starting point is 00:58:09 And you keep doing that going to different roles. If you're going to go the route of buying the full roll, it's probably better than going piecemeal in it because you know you're going to have at least some winners in there. You're going to have some expected payout that's going to come back to you. So if that is your strategy, and we don't encourage a lot of people, you know, when they're on, you know, they have a budget for playing a lottery each week. You know, buying a role is not for everybody, right? Because you guys got a nice pool 2000 there.
Starting point is 00:58:34 But like for everybody buying a $600 role is not the best strategy for them. It's, you know, I think just maybe being more strategic of how they're picking their games and stick into their budget. But if you're going to do the role, it's probably better than piecemeal in it. Do you have clients specifically? Like, how do people use you? Yeah. So most of our business right now is all direct to consumer.
Starting point is 00:58:57 So lottery players, you know, we have thousands of players that come to our site every day. We give a ton of our information away for free. Just, I mean, there's information to help you. So we give a ton of it away just to help players if you're a casual player and just want to know which game has. the best odds. And then we have a pro or premium subscription for people who are really looking for like, you know, a huge edge on playing those top prizes. Like this ticket tracking I was talking about would be part of our pro membership. Lunchbox, you have a question? So, I mean, maybe do you have Kentucky on your roll decks? Because I mean, Kentucky's only 30 minutes from me and I can drive
Starting point is 00:59:33 there to get the tickets if that's a better situation. So we, if you're looking for one of those really game changing ones I was just talking about. Georgia has some of us. those. They have two or three, I think, right now. Oh my God. Are you going to drive to Georgia? Are you literally what you drive to Georgia? Yeah, I'd rent a car and drive to Georgia. Why would you rent a car? I don't think the one is going to make it. Oh, because your car's old. Yeah, mine has 214,000 miles on it. What about just have Morgan drive you down? Let's go. Because she's part of this too. Okay. You would drive to Georgia. What's the closest, Mike, would you look on the map?
Starting point is 01:00:05 What's the closest spot in Georgia they can get to and buy ticket? Is it worth it? You got to have these ticket in stock, though. So you may get to that first. gas station, they don't have your ticket. Oh, I'll call it in advance. That's called being prepared like my boy says. Let me tell you a quick story if you've got a second. So this exact situation I told you about in 2020 in North Carolina, there was a game. We were talking about it like crazy, but they had a $5 million top prize and a $1 million top prize and not many tickets left. There was a guy out and people were calling us every day trying, hey, where can I find this ticket? But there was a guy in Western North Carolina went store to store.
Starting point is 01:00:43 And one afternoon, it just picked up tickets from that one game. He hit the $5 million. And that afternoon. And I'm not saying he got it from our website, but he was doing the exact thing that we're talking about here. Look, finding those games where there's that big overlook prize. And, I mean, it's out there. You can read the story.
Starting point is 01:01:01 It was in North Carolina. Well, give us the Georgia game that we should play. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Well, the one I'm looking at is it's a $20 game. Yeah. And it's called Cash Explosion. And it's a game number 14.
Starting point is 01:01:13 80. Okay. Ash explosion, dude. This is an explosion to cat. Go ahead. So if you're going to go after a booklet and you're wanting those big top prizes, that's the kind of strategy I would employ. You know,
Starting point is 01:01:30 and it's going to save you from buying a game where that top prize was claimed last week. It's not going to hit again. These to me, and this game also has a $10,000 prize still hanging out there. So there's a couple nice ones to hit on that kind of game. That's what we need, bones. Okay, so to get to Trenton, Georgia, it's two hours. That's not bad at all.
Starting point is 01:01:49 That's not bad. Now, you'd have to make sure that somewhere near Trenton has the... Oh, I will call every gas station in Trenton, Georgia and say, hey, you got ash explosion? No cash explosion. Oh, cash. Morgan, are you willing to go two hours? Yeah, we can go two hours. I'll give you guys some gas money.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Yes, sir. Oh, my goodness. Maybe we could rent a Lambo. We'd get there faster. You want to rent a Lamborghini to drive faster. You got to get there. the cash explosion, get back, and then we'll call Jared and be like, we're rich. Jared, they never called you after they hit a million?
Starting point is 01:02:20 I would love for you guys to call me. And I'll tell you what, if you, I'm not too far from Georgia either. If you find something further inland, I'll go by them and come meet you and give them to you. Whoa. Whoa. Juice it a little bit for you. Okay. So we have Jared James on.
Starting point is 01:02:37 Jared, say your site name again just so people know Lottoridge. Is it just Lottorwich.com? Yeah, just Lottowidge. Like I said, we stock, again, we have data for, I mean, most of the states, we're adding more every day. But yeah, just come check it out. Like I said, a lot of it's free. If you're just a casual player, just, you know, we got your data. You know, we have a pay prescription too if you're looking for more data.
Starting point is 01:02:58 If you went 300 million in one of the big jackpots, do you take the annuity or do you go lump? You know, it's funny. I actually just talked about this on a different interview. So I'm actually an ad. To me, it's a person by person, right? So there's some people where having that. lump sum isn't a good idea, right? You're going to have people come out of the woodwork. And maybe you might even need a little protecting from yourself, right? So why, I mean, your life is substantially
Starting point is 01:03:23 changed getting 10 million a year for the next, you know, and it's really difficult too. If you get a lump sum in your banking account, how do you put that to use, right? You know, you got to deploy it. So sometimes, I mean, I think it varies by the person. I think they have to look at their situation and consider taking the annuity. Lunchbox, what would you do? I'd take the lump sum by a boat by an island, live on the I mean just chill. Jared what's the most you've ever won? You know I'm I'm on a huge player believe it on I'm more of a sports book guy I and a casino and stuff but you know I always my big thing is the strategy I just talk to you guys about that's usually what I'm playing when I'm on road trips is kind of looking for those big ones and I but I'll still hit you know
Starting point is 01:04:03 in the hundreds pretty frequently and stuff but I honestly I I don't people think oh you run a lottery so you must you know play all the time and I really don't it's more I'm just into the numbers and appreciate that. And like I said, more sportsbook. Would you rather play the same numbers if you're playing the lottery every same numbers every time or switch it up into quick picks? Honestly, I would do my own numbers over quick picks. You know, I know it's supposed to be random on their side.
Starting point is 01:04:29 But for convenience, it's quick picks is easy, but I'd probably stick in my own numbers. Now, Lunchbox, you do quick picks, why? Because if I played the same numbers over and over, let's say I hit every powerball, I play it every time, every time, and then I forget one time. and those numbers hit and I miss out on 300 million. Jared, it's lights out, man. What do you mean lights out?
Starting point is 01:04:49 They have subscriptions now. You can like pre-pay for, you know, 20 weeks or whatever, 26 weeks in advance. So you're not missing them. Oh my God. Yeah, he's always said he would kill himself if it hit when he didn't play his own numbers. Oh, I can't imagine. He's so dumb. Okay, so we're going to be in touch. We think we're going to to Georgia. I told you guys my lottery guy was legit. I told you we had to do our research and get my lotto guy on. What do you mean your lotto guy, though, by that? I'm the one that brought. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:05:15 But I read news stories about this guy and his website all the time, and I'm like, guys. Yeah, yeah, but when I say, like, I got a tire guy, it's like I personally know somebody that can hook you up with tires. Do you know, Jared? No, no, I didn't know. No, so. Would that be like me going like, I got a Boston Celtics guy. It's Bill Simmons, but I've never actually met him. I guess so.
Starting point is 01:05:33 That's true, too. But, yeah. But he was legit. Now he's your dude. He's my dude. You can call me anytime, man. I will help you at any time. Lawtoedge.com. Jared, we will be in touch.
Starting point is 01:05:41 Thank you for your help this morning. Thanks, guys. Have a great one. Take care. The question is, are we going to go? Are you guys going to go today? Going. Well, it's two hours. It's four hours total, so I don't know if you can go today.
Starting point is 01:05:51 That's true. Yeah, we may have to plan this a little bit better. We got it. You have three kids. Okay. Guess what? What? We don't want to guess.
Starting point is 01:06:00 Tell us. When I get millions of dollars in my pocket, they're not going to be mad. I miss one afternoon with them. That's true. But they have to eat and use the bathroom and stuff. Now one's got a diaper. Okay. When can you go?
Starting point is 01:06:13 Whenever. Not whenever. Not true. I mean, we'll talk about it. Okay, talk about it off the air. I'll check my calendar. Hold on. Wait, I don't keep a calendar.
Starting point is 01:06:21 I got all in my head. Let's go. We're going to go. We have $2,000 all in. We're going to go to Georgia. Yeah, because he said Tennessee's not good. And buy lottery explosion. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:30 No, cash explosion. Oh, yeah. I don't know why. I thought he said ash. Yeah, I was thinking of volcano. Yeah, I did too. Okay. A win is a win.
Starting point is 01:06:41 A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. First one, here we go. High point 911.
Starting point is 01:09:39 What is your emergency? And did you break a front window? Yeah, I broke the door window, sir. That's how it starts. Okay. Was this call because he got locked out of the house and left his hamburger helper cooking on the stove and needed to get back in for that hamburger helper? He called because that someone was trapped inside a store, but it was just a mannequin in the display.
Starting point is 01:10:03 Or he called because he was Jesus Christ and he had just broke into the pizza hut. I'm going to play the intro part again. High point 911, what is your emergency? And did you break a front window? Yeah, I broke the door window, sir. There you go. Okay. Okay, I think I got it.
Starting point is 01:10:22 That was a good one. Eddie? I'm going to go with mannequin inside. Manikin inside. He sees it. He breaks the front door. Here you go. Front door.
Starting point is 01:10:29 Yes, this is Jesus Christ, and I just broke it into the pizza hut. I broke the window, and I'm here. Jesus is here. Now he's back to Earth. And what was your name again? My name is Jesus. What's your last name, Jesus?
Starting point is 01:10:42 Christ. Okay. And what do you look like? I look like Jesus. How'd you get over to the Pizza Hut? I'm from heaven, sir. Okay. And you eat a pizza?
Starting point is 01:10:53 Yeah. Had a Mountain Dew. What's your last name? Christ? Dumbo. Yeah. What do you look like? All right, let's go in number two.
Starting point is 01:11:03 Here you go. Here's the first part. Alliance, Police, and Fire. Where's your emergency? At May, Moon, and college class. What's the problem? Do you know what she said there? No.
Starting point is 01:11:13 Something in college plaza. Play one more time. Alliance Police and Fire. Where's your emergency? At Maine Moon in College Plaza. What's the problem? Maybe she's saying the address of where she is. She said Maine Moon in College Plaza.
Starting point is 01:11:27 I mean, there's not a lot there. So did she call 911 because her Chinese food wasn't up to par and she wanted a refund. She needs better Chinese. Or because she called to order a grapefruit. But she was upset because the grapefruit wasn't purple. and she demanded purple. Or she called because she beat her sister in hungry, hungry hippos, causing her sister to threaten her with a knife.
Starting point is 01:11:48 Ooh, dang. You got Chinese food, grapefruit, or hungry hippos? I'm a man for the way. Lunch? Oh, that's Chinese food. Eddie? I'm also going to go Chinese food. Here you go.
Starting point is 01:11:59 What's the problem? I have bought some Chinese food and it's not to par to me and I ask you get my money back and they're acting like they don't understand me and took my food and won't give me my money back. And this is why you called 911. What am I supposed to do? Jump over the thing and beat them up and get my money back? I could have called the regular police line instead of the life-threatening emergency line.
Starting point is 01:12:19 Oh, well, they transferred me. Wait a minute. They transferred me to you. She has a great point if they transferred her. Absolutely. I'm going to with her. She's like, what am I supposed to do? Jump over there and beat them up and take my money?
Starting point is 01:12:30 If they transferred her there, what is she supposed to do? And she goes, wait a minute. Hold on now. Wait a second. Dang. All right. Last one. 911 one call.
Starting point is 01:12:37 Come on. Here's the intro. I want to know to like, what do you guys do? Well, we're working on mini calls, sir. Okay, he's asking him what they're doing. Now, did he call because he wanted to become a police officer, and he wanted career advice. He called police to taunt them for not being able to catch him after a traffic stop. Or he called police because he was lonely and needed a friend to talk to.
Starting point is 01:13:03 Hear the intro one more time? Man. I want to know What do you guys do? Well, we're working on mini calls, sir Why'd he call? You got career advice To taunt after a traffic stop
Starting point is 01:13:16 Or he was lonely For the win if one of you get it Dang All right Lunchbox He called because he's lonely Eddie? He's taunting them after the traffic stop
Starting point is 01:13:27 All right here we go I like ran from a cop Like what do we pay you guys for Like I've driven past four cops What do you mean you ran from a cop? I mean, he turned his lights on me and got behind me, and as he was walking up to my door, I did a donut around him and left. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:43 So you want to now see the officer, or what is your question? My question is, I'm assuming he put an APD out or that has someone looking for my car. But, like, she definitely got the plate number. He's taunting the cop. What's the point of the hole? I want a dummy. But Eddie, you win? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:00 Nice job. Nice job. Eddie's the big winner. Thank you. In the dumbest game. play. That's fun though, huh? That's awesome. That's good game. Listen to this voicemail.
Starting point is 01:14:11 Okay, play this one from last night. Hey, first time caller. I was just looking for some advice. I've been married for almost two years now. I have an ex-boyfriend for four years ago that moved out of state and is coming back into town and asked to get coffee just to hang out. Like, is that something I need to ask my husband about? Is that definitely a no answer to the ex-boyfriend?
Starting point is 01:14:31 Like, we ended things on a friendship term. So to me and my eyes, it's just catching up. I'm not sure what my husband would think. Any advice would help, thanks. This is a real call. Yeah. Oh, my God. We don't pay people to do calls.
Starting point is 01:14:45 Some shows pay people. Oh, my God. No, I know that. We don't pay us. We can't afford prizes. Much less paying people to act like their callers. This is just ridiculous, though. Yeah, it's a pretty dumb question, right?
Starting point is 01:14:56 Like, no, you don't, I would just ghost the, the text. I wouldn't even reply. What? Okay. It's different, different than what I would have said, but go ahead. No, no, no. I mean, look, we had a thing four years ago. I'm married now.
Starting point is 01:15:07 I can't be going on coffee dates. So why not say that? What do you mean? No, no, no. I just, dude, you're done. Like, our relationship doesn't exist anymore. We can't be friends. I am married now.
Starting point is 01:15:17 We're done. Do you show your significant other of the text? No. No one needs to know that. It's just done. Lunchbox? You go to the coffee. You're friends.
Starting point is 01:15:27 But do you... You can tell your husband or not tell your husband. It doesn't matter. Or, hey, I'm just grabbing... No. If you're going to go, you at least have to tell them. Hey, I'm grabbing coffee with Jeremiah. Like, what's the big deal?
Starting point is 01:15:38 I don't see anything wrong with it. Like, hey, Jeremiah's in town. Want to grab coffee. Cool. I'll see you after that and we'll come home. I mean, I have no problem with it, so I don't know what the big deal is. Go to coffee. It's not worth the drama that it could create.
Starting point is 01:15:54 You have to tell him. And if he's cool with it and you want to go, go. Why do you want to go so bad, by the way? Because they ended it on a friendship. Yeah. They ended it. Yeah. And you don't really end on just a straight friendship.
Starting point is 01:16:06 They were feelings there. You end on just being friendly with each other. But if you send you to the naked, that ain't a real normal friendship. Yeah, yeah. So this is what you do. First of all, if you want to go, you've got to go to your husband and say, hey, I got to text. How do you feel about that? Don't even say, hey, is it okay if I go?
Starting point is 01:16:26 You read in the text and you go, how do you feel about that? And you give him the opportunity to say how he feels about all of it. This guy texting you. him going and then you're not going I'd like to go can I go because you may never even get to the question if he's like no I hate that dude I wouldn't you should not
Starting point is 01:16:42 you'll be able to get the vibe by just saying that and if you really want to go you should probably look into that a little bit if you really want to go guys no no if she really wants to go and they dated then she really wants to see somebody she used to date correct because you don't just end on friendship term as she said
Starting point is 01:16:58 as you were just buddies you may have ended where you could be around each other without having some sort of outward feelings. But if you had inward feelings, then there's never just straight platonic punching the shoulder buds. With the lunchbox there is. You can do that.
Starting point is 01:17:15 You can see someone naked and be friends with him. It's okay. No way. Okay, but then if that's the case, and I will say that maybe you're correct there, if that's the case, you still should tell your husband. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, just say, hey, I'm going to. But you said say or not say.
Starting point is 01:17:28 I said you can or not. It doesn't matter. You tell them, you usually tell people. people, hey, I'm going to lunch with this person. I'm going to coffee with this person. But this is different because it's an ex. So I would be like, yeah, I'm going to get coffee with Jeremiah. Has your wife ever had coffee with Jeremiah?
Starting point is 01:17:40 Why do you love Jeremiah that name so much? That's the one I used earlier in the conversation. I know. I know. I stuck with it. Yeah. Well, because I always go to the same names and so I'm trying to branch out. So Jeremiah is my name of the day. I don't know if my wife has ever had, because she doesn't live in the same city as
Starting point is 01:17:54 any of her. No, no. Jeremiah's in town. He's visiting. Go for it. Go for it. He wants to have coffee with your wife. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:58 But she used to date him. She, like, hooked up with that. Two years ago, dude. Cool. No big deal. But she didn't tell you when you found out. Cool. I came home to my wife on the front porch,
Starting point is 01:18:06 eating wine and cheese with some dude and crackers. I remember that. But that was at your own house and she wasn't hiding that from you. What if she had a hit? Well, I mean, she didn't tell me it was happening. I just came home and they were a bottle and half deep. I mean, whatever. Cool.
Starting point is 01:18:16 Let's go to Morgan. Morgan. No, I don't, I don't think she should go. I don't even think she should respond. I think she should definitely tell her partner that this happened. Like, honesty is here. And she does sound like she wants to go. Like most of the time if you want to like go and meet up with an ex,
Starting point is 01:18:33 you got feelings there. You're trying to see if something's happening. And if you feel guilty about it, there's a reason you feel guilty about it. If you really thought it was nothing, you would just think it was nothing. It'd be like, hey, can I go see Jeremiah again? There's something up here. You guys are so weird. It's not just a regular guy though.
Starting point is 01:18:50 Like this is an ex though. That's much different. It's just a guy and it's a friend and they go, whatever. This is an ex. So if you made out with someone, you're never allowed to talk to him again? An ex. They dated. They had feelings for each other.
Starting point is 01:19:03 Oh, my goodness. Yeah, and girls, like, we have feelings. Like, just because we broke up doesn't mean that, like, just goes away. You just move forward. Those feelings are still, like, somewhere there. No, you married another dude because you found someone else that was better. Maybe this dude broke up with her. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:19:19 Oh, my gosh. So that logic does not work in this. You guys put too much stress in your life by worrying about that crap. I go. I don't want to show. stress is going to come with me trying to hide it. Correct. That would be stressful. This is what you do.
Starting point is 01:19:32 You go to your husband. You say, I just got this text. What do you have? How do you feel about this? Ask it open ended like that. And if he's like, ah, what a loser. I don't care if you go see him. Great. If he gets really upset, you'd never even ask to go. All you're doing is saying, how do you feel about him texting? Because if you go, I'd like to go see him.
Starting point is 01:19:49 Is that cool? Then you're in trouble, even if he says no and you don't go. Man, I get that text. I just delete it. Never saw it. That's drama, dude. Yeah, but you must not want to go. she wants to go. Yeah, I think she does want to go. And that's the scary part. That's a scary part. Thank you. You can leave us a voicemail. 877,
Starting point is 01:20:05 77 Bobby. You can ask questions like that. And you stay anonymous. I mean, we play your voice, but Mid Jeremiah's not anonymous, though. Yeah, but you stay anonymous. All right, thank you. Bobby Bone Show. Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes to us from the U.S. Canada border.
Starting point is 01:20:21 A man had $300,000 worth of cannabis in his car and he put in the GPS delivered to this address. Cool. All right, let's go. Starts following the GPS. And he ends up at the border of Canada and the United States of America. He doesn't have a passport. Was the address through the border?
Starting point is 01:20:37 Wouldn't it say, are you sure you want to go to another country? Because it'll ask me, it'll say, if I'm in Tennessee and I put an address and it's like third street, it'll give me different states. And if I click one, Vermont, it'll go, are you sure? You want to go to Vermont? I'm like, no. It's like Uber Eats. Are you sure you're at this address?
Starting point is 01:20:53 I'm surprised we'll just drive him to Canada. Yeah, so he shows up at the border, done him at my passport. They pull them to the side. They searched the car. Turns out he had put in the wrong address. And if you have that much, what you call it, cannabis? Cannabis. Aren't you a little hyper aware you're driving to the border?
Starting point is 01:21:09 You have to. With that much. Yeah. I mean, if you have something in your pocket, I get it, you're just living your life. But if you have that much in your car and you're going toward, oh, Canada. You've got to be better than that, bro. He put all his trust in the GPS. You got to be better than that, bro.
Starting point is 01:21:23 All right. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. I want to play this voicemail. Here you go. Hey guys, I just saw that Mike D ran into Tom Hanks at the Bluebird. They posted it on his Instagram and Eddie commented with an angry face. So I was wondering if we could hear from Eddie what that's all about.
Starting point is 01:21:39 Yeah, and we talked about in the post show yesterday. Mike D. was at the Bluebird Cafe watching Rita Wilson. Yeah, just hanging out, watching music. And Tom Hanks was just chilling in the corner. And so at the end, Mike D gets a picture with Tom Hanks. Eddie was even upset yesterday. Oh, my gosh. But why did you post the angry face on his account?
Starting point is 01:21:54 Well, the first face was like, what? Tom Hanks? Like, surprise. And the second one's like, I'm just over it. Like, everyone's meeting Tom Hanks except me. I am. I haven't met him. You haven't?
Starting point is 01:22:03 No. Huh. Okay. That makes me feel better. No, why should you feel better? Because I can't get something. I'm just, like, I'm the big Tom Hanks fan here, and everyone's meeting him except me. That makes me mad.
Starting point is 01:22:13 All right. Here's the next voicemail. I ordered a Bobby water for the first time. It is so delicious. But I drank all the water. So I was wondering, how do you get all the nerds and all the fruits? at the bottom out. Just wondering, I'm just using a spoon. I don't have that problem. The fruit I leave in,
Starting point is 01:22:31 unless there's like cherries, you can grab them from the stems at the top when you're done, but the nerds all come out. Are you constantly stirring? Because they do kind of sit on the bottom. Yes, and your straws at the bottom. I'd never have a problem. Not a nerd is left behind. No problem there. Yeah, the Bobby, well, the Caitlin water. If you go to Sonic, you have to ask for it specifically as far as you get,
Starting point is 01:22:49 I get a root 44, obviously Sonic Ice. I have real fruit, cherry. strawberry and limes, and then nerds, and water. And water tastes great, and you get nerds. It's excellent. That's it. And that's the show. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:23:02 We'll see you tomorrow. Goodbye, everybody. Bob and Mo. You can find us on Facebook, too, at Bobby Bone's show. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying. Yep, that's me.
