Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong step.
Starting point is 00:00:30 dance. And then there's your body having its own program. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
Starting point is 00:01:00 There's an economic component to community striving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they failed. Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. On a recent episode of the podcast Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here. We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth,
Starting point is 00:01:36 starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John Hope Bryant from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. We're going to go.
Starting point is 00:01:59 Come on, Bobby. Transmitting. What's up? Welcome to Tuesday's show. Morning studio. Morning. All right, let's go around the room and check in with everybody. He spends his weekends going from game to game with us four boys and golfing in his spare time.
Starting point is 00:02:18 It's something he enjoys. It's producer Eddie. So do you guys remember last year I went on a digital detox? I did it for about a month where I did no social media. Sort of. You were on the show on social media the whole day. Well, right, because I had to. For work.
Starting point is 00:02:32 I had to, you know, it has to do for work. I wasn't. That's not a real detox. But I hear you. Well, anyway, that's why I did. last year. It was great. I'm glad I did it. It really detoxed my I don't know, my sensors.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Yeah, because you got to do it all day. Yeah. No, it's fine. But anyway, so this year I said I'm not doing that anymore. I'm going to do something different. I turn my phone into gray scale. So it's all gray. And the reason I'm doing this is to make my phone dull. Like there's no
Starting point is 00:02:58 vibrant colors. I look at it. It's impossible to even find an app. So I'm trying to limit my screen time by making it dull. I don't know much about grayscale. Amy. It just takes away the color. Like it makes it less interesting because our brains are drawn to certain things on there.
Starting point is 00:03:14 And so this will help him. The phone is now less desirable. So, Bones, say like I'm on my phone. I'm on TikTok, right? Everything's black and white. Even the videos? Even the videos. Even when I take a picture, it's black and white.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Oh, that's interesting. So basically you're in a time machine. You went to when they made your favorite movies. In the 1940s. There's no way to flip. Yeah, check it out lunch. So anyway, so I put this on, take a picture. it's black and white, there's Morgan, boom.
Starting point is 00:03:38 But it's a real color picture. I only see a black and white. So when I take my eyes off the phone and look at the world, it's beautiful. It's more vibrant. And I'm like, I'd rather be in the world than on my phone. So yours is, it's not that the chemicals in your brain are affected by what they've developed in these social media apps of sounds and sites, but it's the juxtaposition of gray, crappy versus world lovely. Correct. Right beside each other.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Correct. Black and white. Boring. The world. Beautiful. colors. Why do you, why do all the movies you like? Why are they all black and white then? Good question. Well, that's because it takes me back to a different time. But you weren't alive in that time. I know, I know. I wish I was.
Starting point is 00:04:15 We're going to review one of Eddie's movies coming up a little bit. Question, how long are we doing this great thing? I'm going to do it for the month. Okay, this is, now we know, now you're going to be more addicted to your phone. You like to go back in time. That's true. Oh, great. Your phone's going to be nostalgic for an era you weren't even living in. Think about that. I never even heard a great scale. Is it a feature? Yeah, I'll turn your phone to it. That's okay. I first heard like, I already live kind of gray scale. I'm kind of colorblind, so just sort of great scale. We first heard about it.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Eddie, remember from church, they were encouraging it. Yeah. To like, so you'd be off your phones. He is running out of time to sell the items we got from the pallet. And if we did a poll on worst investment deals, this will be top of the ballot. Here's lunchbox. I'm going to go back in time, guys. In November, we started talking randomly on the show about this dog cough that is taking over the world
Starting point is 00:05:02 where doctors didn't know how to treat it. Vets were like, all these dogs are getting it. And I was like, oh my gosh, that's what my dog has. And you guys made fun of me. We didn't make fun of you about your dog being sick. That did not happen at all. You're like, your dog doesn't have this. And I played you clips.
Starting point is 00:05:16 And I was like, listen, this is what my dog just started doing. And I don't know what it is. Guys, it is two months later. I've been to three different bets and my dog still has the cough. Still hacking. They can't figure out what it is. Can't figure it out. We've taken so many x-rays and sent them off to like x-ray specialists.
Starting point is 00:05:33 and this antibiotic, this antibiotic, this, and this. What is it again? Hold on. Antibiotic. Okay. I said that right. That's what I said. No, you get it. Antibotic.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Whatever. Antibiotic. We've done all sorts of things. The next thing on the table is they want to put my dog under, insert some fluid into his lungs, and suck it out, and culture it to see if there's some bacteria that they're missing. But, I mean, my dog is 14, so putting him under is. It also just could be he's getting old. Yeah. But man, we have been battling.
Starting point is 00:06:08 So, yeah, I mean, everybody's been asking, still coughing. It is rough. I hate to hear that. We never made fun of his dog for everybody listening out there. Not one time we make fun of his dog. Never. Oh, you guys, he doesn't have that. And I said, guys, it was out of nowhere.
Starting point is 00:06:23 And then I started playing the clips. And you guys, you were like, we don't need to hear that. We don't need to hear that. What happened is you always say you have everything or you're being affected by everything. And we said, I don't know if that's true. And then you brought it in and we're like, well, I may have that. What is that? What are you playing?
Starting point is 00:06:42 I'm playing my dog, guys. There's nothing on there. There was. Okay, anyway. You guys didn't hear it. All right, moving on. Let's go to the next one. All right, moving on.
Starting point is 00:06:48 She hosts the Women of IHard Country Show. And if you want to listen, the IHart Radio app is where you go. Here's Amy. So my Gmail is so full that I got this notification that I can now buy more storage. Or you can delete all of the emails that are in there. I know, but what if I delete something that I need? need to go back to. You don't need it. I need deleted his whole account. I do it.
Starting point is 00:07:11 There's no way I'm going to do that. No. There's 99% chance you don't need anything in there. Okay, well, I have... When's the last time you needed something from it? Sometimes I go back and look at emails from way back. My mom, I have emails from my mom. I'm not doing those. That's different. You saved those. Yes, but don't not delete it because you may need to go back to it for some reason. That's called being a hoarder.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Okay, well, I'm a digital hoarder. Are you going to buy more space? Why don't you just use this as an exercise? $1.99 a month for a year maybe. 100 Gb's, you know vytes. I would delete stuff. Do the thing where you can do size
Starting point is 00:07:46 or hit the button and it brings all the biggest ones first with all the paperclubs on it. Wait, we can do that. Yeah, you can manage your storage. How do you do that? All the big ones first that you don't need. Oh, that's genius. And then go over.
Starting point is 00:07:56 I didn't know you could do it by size. Yes. This is good news. This is good news. Okay, Ray, go ahead. From Mount Pine, Arkansas. He's a big jersey guy. and today it's the Packers I spy.
Starting point is 00:08:08 Bobby Bones. So here's the thing. On Saturday night of this week, I got big news on Saturday night. I got big mood, big mood. I'm going to be staying at the sleep place on Saturday. Oh, wow. Yeah, I got to go sleep in the sleep center
Starting point is 00:08:19 with cameras all on me on Saturday night. They apparently really only have you do it on Saturdays and Sundays where you sleep there. They were, I guess, make exceptions occasionally. I really don't want to sleep there and then come do the show. Yeah. So on Saturday night of this week, I will be spending the night in a room.
Starting point is 00:08:39 It looks kind of like a hotel bedroom, but there are cameras on the walls all around, and they're going to hook me up and tape me up and try to figure out what's wrong with me when I sleep. Will they let you tape your mouth? I don't know if the rules are do what you normally do right now, because I'm only starting that recently, so I probably won't.
Starting point is 00:08:59 I would think that you need to. Because it's so new. You need to be in your purest form. Like you probably can't take anything. no magnesium. So I'm going to go and sleep and have them watch me and we'll pay-per-view it. Oh, yeah. Are you allowed to have your computer and stuff?
Starting point is 00:09:15 Like, how do you? I don't know any rules yet. I just got to email a minute ago going to see you on Saturday night. But I'm sure you don't go in and you're just isolated to the world. Yeah. Hello. I wonder if you can go in and play video games for a little bit and then slowly go to sleep or do you just go in? All right, time to go to sleep.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Yeah, do you show up at like 9 p.m. I do show up at 8 p.m. Okay. It's your bedtime. So you got to eat before you get there. They have snacks? Midnight snacks, man. Are you locked in the room?
Starting point is 00:09:40 And are there other people in the other room? They're for sure, are because if they only do it a couple of nights. What if I get lonely? Right, do you knock on the room? Hey, can you hear me? Chuck, you in there? Trying to sleep, man. I'm just scared.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Anyway, I'm doing that Saturday night. So, big news. Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. Yesterday, my 17-year-old son told me he wants to drop out of high school. Most parents wouldn't even consider this.
Starting point is 00:10:08 With my son, it's a bit more complicated. He's been coding for more than 10 years. He makes as much money as I do. He's incredibly responsible. He laid out what he plans to do with his time on how he'll save his money, on when he'll be working, when he would be going to school. I'm running out of good reasons to tell him no. What do you think?
Starting point is 00:10:25 Should I let him do what he thinks is best? Signed, mom of a tech whiz. Well, he's 17. He's probably so close. He's so close. And I get, hey, he's making a ton of money. And maybe if he's making that kind of money at 15. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:10:42 But he's so close. It's like, son, you're right. You could quit high school, do this, and you have something the rest of your life and never look back and you're all good because it literally could happen. Even with college, right? College is not for everybody. College, not for everybody. But it's like you're so close.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Just finished because. Then at least you'll just have it. And for no other reason, all that work is not like in vain. If you're so close, just finish. If you're one credit, three credits short of your college degree lunchbox. Oh. College is different than high school. Which you are, but you're so close.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Yeah. It's not even about what it can get you, the degree. It's that you've almost finished. You might as well go across the finish line. Accomplishing that check. But I do understand if he's like, hey, this is what I'm going to do my whole life. I want to do it. You can also get an equivalency later, too, if he does quit.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Like a GED? Like a GED. Sure. Oh, okay. Yeah. And as a parent, I have to, my kid has to go to school. It's the law. I mean, I get he's 17, but he's going to be 18.
Starting point is 00:11:50 17, though. I think 16, right? And it depends what state you're in. Oh, I didn't know there's a law about that. Yeah, because like if... I don't think it's a federal law, and you can check me on this. But I know when I grew up and where I grew up, you could be 16 to quit school and go to work. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Yeah, but Eddie, if you're like 12-year-old just stops going to go and, school, you get arrested for it. Wow. Yeah. You're the truancy parent. Okay, I'll make sure my 12 year old stays in school. Yes. I was working on a project with the guy recently. He's 21. He just dropped out of college. He's been coding since he was 13. He tried to give the whole college thing a chance,
Starting point is 00:12:19 but he's just making too much of money. He's like, I'm done with this, and now he has a full-time job. In the state war and now, you can drop out if you're 17, if you have your parents' permission. Wow. There you go. Or you can drop out when you're 18, without your parents' permission, if you haven't finished school yet. But you can drop out at 17 with your
Starting point is 00:12:35 her intermission. I would have the conversation. You're a smart, logical person. I know you don't need high school. And you're crushing it. You're making more than me. Can I have a loan? All this stuff that you want to ask. It would be like, you're so close. Would you just finish for me as a favor to me? And then if he still says no, then you kind of have to respect it. Then ground him. He's 17. He's going to hack you. It's over. If he's coding, he's going to. But I think that is a difficult situation. And there is not a one size fits off or something like this. But wow, as a parent to know that at that age, your kid already has it figured out. It's very cool.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Because sometimes I wonder, what are they going to do, you know? Like, how long are they going to live at home? And are they going to be able to support themselves? The legit concern you were doing the show, not therapy now. I don't know if you're confused. All right, that's the mailbag. Close it up. We got your email and we're going to close Bobby's mail bag.
Starting point is 00:13:32 I want to talk to Jake, who lives in Pittsburgh. Hey, Jake, what's up, buddy? How's it going? Morning Studio. Morning. What's up, dude? Hey, I have a story for lunch here. Back in August on Ring the Trailer Auctions,
Starting point is 00:13:47 an 06 Ultima was zero miles sold for $3 million. Wow. For zero miles, though. Yeah. How do you keep a car without driving it? I wonder what happened. Why did they keep it? Because sometimes somebody will buy like an iPod, version one,
Starting point is 00:14:03 or a Nintendo game. Or like my Arkansas cheerleader Barbie. Which is just weird that I have back here. But if you keep it on open, apparently they're worth more. Why would someone have a car and never drive it? I have no idea, but maybe it's one's a boxer's car. It's worth more than he thinks. Maybe if you drive it to 999-99-99-99-99-99.
Starting point is 00:14:25 It goes back over to zero. Okay. Ferris Bueller. Go in reverse. Yeah. I was I was about to say. I need to go in reverse and get it back to zero. That would take a long time.
Starting point is 00:14:34 What if you signed your car really big on the door, than auctioned off. Oh, I kind of like that. Kind of a good idea. To who? The highest better. Yeah, Amy, anybody will buy it. How many miles your car have?
Starting point is 00:14:48 216,000, like, 300 and something. What's best case scenario before you have to, best case, before you have to get another car? Oh, man, I don't know. Can you go all 24? Oh, I mean, I highly doubt it. The fact that the check engine line has been on for two and a half months and they told me I need a new engine and half the time it doesn't start. I doubt it. I mean, if I made it to May, I'd be ecstatic.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I mean, when I took it to a repair shop last year, the guy told me, he was like, look, man, I can help you get a car. Like, I don't want to see you to keep putting money in this thing. He's like, what's your budget? And he started looking for you's car. Like, he felt so bad for me. He was doing it, tell me something good for you? Yes. And he was just like, I can't let you put money back into this thing.
Starting point is 00:15:32 So how much would you take, honestly, how much money would you take if someone said, I will give you, you 50 bucks. Oh no. $50. No, it's just an example of a number you wouldn't take. But realistically, if someone said I will give you this much, how much for the car?
Starting point is 00:15:49 I don't want to put a price on her, but I got to. Because they're not giving you much. Didn't you try to take it in and Kelly? No, no, I, Kelly Blue Booked online. And it was $250. Oh, wow. But not $250,000. $250,000.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Like, literally, $250. Wow, that's tough. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So what would you take if someone said, I will give you blank? 3,000. Oh, there's no chance. Okay, so then you'll never make a penny on.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Well, no, no, you just said. Well, yeah, one million. I'm saying what's the lowest you would take? What were you going to say? You just said, I'll sign it. Sign the door? Do you think your signature is worth that much on a car? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:26 If someone said I give you $500 for the car. No chance. I mean, $500 does nothing for me. Is it slap in the face? Take it. Yeah, like the tires. I mean, I don't know if the tires are worth $500, but. They're obviously not because they are.
Starting point is 00:16:36 It must be something worth $500 in there. Right? I don't know. Do you have $450 in cash hidden in the compartment somewhere? No, no, I don't. Okay, well, Jake, we appreciate that. Lunchbox is still hanging on and it hasn't died coming to work. No.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Do you take back roads just in case it does die or do you get on the interstate? No, I don't. I mean, interstate real quick. And then. Oh, I didn't know you. Yeah, that makes all the difference in the world. All right, Jake, appreciate that. I'm sure we'll let you know whenever he decides to finally get a new car.
Starting point is 00:17:06 It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Okay, Amber works for Alaskan Airlines, and she's on a flight, and all of a sudden this call button goes off, she goes over, can help you, sir? Well, this guy's a zoo official, and he's transporting six flamingo eggs, and the incubator stopped working. Are they with him?
Starting point is 00:17:28 Are they back in, like, baggage? They're with him. Fragile eggs. They didn't stop him going through? That's weird. Mm-hmm. So, she springs into action. She goes over and fills up rubber gloves with warm water and lays it on top of the eggs.
Starting point is 00:17:42 And then other passengers started offering up their coat and scarves to pile on top for extra insulation. And then, you know, the eggs they departed when they landed, got off the plane. But she had no idea if what they did was going to work. Well, a few months later, she got a phone call. Would she like to fly out to the zoo and meet the flamingos that you helped save? So shook her granddaughter and they went to the zoo and they saw the flamingos. That's pretty cool. That is really cool.
Starting point is 00:18:06 It's pretty cool people just to give their stuff up to, kind of warm up the eggs. They were transporting them from the zoo in Atlanta to a zoo in Seattle. Did you say that dog that pooped on that American Airlines flight or whatever? Yeah. Like on the seat? No, like in the ground. Just pick it up. Yeah, but it stinks.
Starting point is 00:18:30 I mean, both. Both. It smells, but I mean, okay. It's a dog. But also, it does stink. It turned into a whole shishabahubal up in the ear, but they just fighting each other. So all six were born, the flamingos, and her granddaughter's name is Sunny. So the zoo went ahead and named one of the flamingos sunny.
Starting point is 00:18:49 I like that. I'm glad you brought her back after the dog took story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and host of the podcast, a slight change of plans,
Starting point is 00:19:13 a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:19:50 On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Ho Bryant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about, like, I'm going to get rich. That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family.
Starting point is 00:20:34 If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, everyone. I'm Cheryl Stray, author of Wild and Tiny Beautiful Things. I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast called Mind Over Mountain. In each episode, I interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes and life experiences that informed and inspired. They're extraordinary feats. I also bring a bit of advice into the mix so we too can better understand how to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Starting point is 00:21:20 Do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to pull out what you already have inside. We're coming into this world, fighting for our lives. All I'm going to do is pull out what you already got inside. We're there to support and celebrate each other. And that's not like your story versus my story. You're going to walk up and over that dang mountain.
Starting point is 00:21:37 You're not just going to put your mind over it. Yep, yep, exactly. And if I can't walk up and over it, I'm going to go through it. Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We're going to protect the identity of the person that we're talking about here. But, Amy, I'm going to come over to you. So let's just say, we'll just say a girl. We're not saying if it's a girl or a guy.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Let's just say a girl that you know this happened to with her pay. Okay? So we know who it is. We're going to switch up some of the facts, but this is a true story. Go ahead. she received an email from accounting at her company and it had attached payment like a breakdown of your paycheck except for it wasn't her paycheck it was a paycheck of a guy that she works with that she's they've both been there the same amount of time and they do the exact same thing and his was significantly higher
Starting point is 00:22:33 like she was shocked like that's I mean that sucks that they sent that to her yeah it also sucks if that's the case and she's getting paid less for the same job. There's some details I need to know. Like, do they for sure have the same job? For sure, for sure. With the same responsibility. Same responsibility, same amount of time. Is it a sales job to where he may be making money?
Starting point is 00:22:53 No. It's not a commission-based thing. No. Wow. Same amount of time. In fact, they'll often work alongside each other. That's how close they are and what they do. I mean, it's exact.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Is she upset? Yeah. No, very. And she doesn't know how to handle it. And so I thought, well, let me take this to the guys. Oof, that's a tough one, man. This is the easiest question we've ever had. Really?
Starting point is 00:23:19 I mean, okay? What? She just goes and demands equal pay? No. Oh. Because, yes, but not like that. Because then people get upset and hold resentment. And even though she may get it, the vibe at work is going to be off.
Starting point is 00:23:34 People may treat her different. She got sent. Well, she's already getting treated different. She got sent this by. accident by a supervisor or payroll. Yep. What you do is you have it in your email and you forward it to your boss and your boss's boss and back to
Starting point is 00:23:50 accounting and you go, hey, I don't think this was sent to me on purpose. This was an accident, I'm sure. But I have a lot of questions regarding what I saw in this when I opened it. That way they know you got it. I'm already nervous. This is you being, it's not
Starting point is 00:24:07 confrontational, but it is you asking for for their time and energy regarding something that isn't comfortable and something that she may be getting screwed on, but in a way that isn't aggressive. Because it's not like she went and hacked in and got it, or it's not like she went and asked the person, can I see yours? They actually sent it to her.
Starting point is 00:24:26 It wasn't like she was trying to find it. Yeah, it's like this fell into her lap. Yeah, you forward it to your boss, your boss is boss, so it doesn't look like you're jumping over their head, and back to accounting, you said, got this by accident, and I have a lot of questions regarding the pay, and I would have never even looked at this,
Starting point is 00:24:40 but it was sent to me, and I opened it because I thought it was mine. And then when you go in, they know it was an accident, they know they screwed up. They're probably already going, oh, gosh. And then you start to ask questions.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Because you did nothing wrong by opening an email that was sent to you. Like what kind of questions? You asked questions. I was like, hey, I saw that, we'll just call him Chris. I saw that Chris making $11 a year. And I'm making eight.
Starting point is 00:25:00 We've been here at the same time. Like, what is he doing differently that I'm doing? You don't go in going, I demand more. That's what you're doing, but you're doing it in a way that doesn't put anyone heels where they can answer the question and like, oh, wow, yeah, I'm glad you found that.
Starting point is 00:25:14 We are going to bump you up. We didn't notice that your salary had been, you know, you hadn't got to raise. So I think that's how you do it a little bit. I mean, because you have to assume that it's potentially this way because she's a woman and he's a man. Or you find out. I thought we're mixing the genders. No, we're not. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Or you find out. Sorry. Okay, okay. We're not. Or you find out why it really is. Because there are really actually maybe a reason as well that you don't know. But you're about to find out one way or the other. Wow.
Starting point is 00:25:46 You're about to get your raise without being confrontational about it. Because then if they do nothing, you're like, no, that's just how it is. Well, then you can get confrontational. But you just don't want to, if you don't have to hurt the vibe at work, hurt the vibe at work. There comes a time when you have to. But first you just go, hey, I saw this. Obviously, I wasn't pursuing this. But it leads me to some questions now that I have this information.
Starting point is 00:26:06 and if they don't have good answers, showtime, baby. What if they're like, Jimmy's here like till 11 o'clock at night every night? No, because it's a salary position. If there is a reason, that's the reason. In a salary position, time almost doesn't matter. It's how effective you are at your job. But you're about to find out if Jimmy's just more valued at your company. That could be it.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Yeah, because Jimmy's a man. No, no, it doesn't have to be. The thing is, you may find out what Jimmy does. Right. That is actually different. You can assume it's because he's a man. tell you what it does is different. He's standing up.
Starting point is 00:26:40 And that could be it too. It really good. But you have to go and play it passively. The only thing I could think of and I was talking to her about it is okay, maybe he came in with more experience. They'll tell you, whatever the case is,
Starting point is 00:26:55 they'll tell you what it is. And it's up to you to decide whether that's a good enough answer or not. Because if you feel like it's not and they're only paying him because he's a dude, then again. Which I mean, it's showtime, baby. That's definitely happening. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:06 is obviously so. Let us know how that turns out. Poor Jimmy. Like it probably doesn't know either. Right. Jimmy's like thinking he's just making his living. He doesn't know he's making more than other people. And now all of a sudden Jimmy's paycheck gets sent over.
Starting point is 00:27:21 We should do that here. Has anybody here ever been sent anybody else's? No. No. Paycheck. I've seen someone on a printer. You have? Who has a paycheck on a printer?
Starting point is 00:27:32 Um, one of the bosses. That's printed it. For some reason. I don't know. Printed their own? Yeah. Oh. I guess.
Starting point is 00:27:40 I would say print a page? Here? Here. Like here. Hey, was it awesome? Was it awesome? I was like, dang. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Okay. Okay. I got any of your position. Okay. But I don't think they would give you that position. No. No. No, I don't think they would either.
Starting point is 00:27:58 But I just saw it and I was like, dang. But also that's not a position that you're right beside. Right, right. It's a different position. But I was just like, I didn't know that position. Made that. If you knew that, would you have gone for that position? Who, maybe?
Starting point is 00:28:14 I don't know. It may be a lot of responsibility, but I don't know. I'm not quite sure what the person does, but they are doing all right. It's Eddie. That's not me, right? There's no one in this room. Time for rejected segments. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:28:28 Rejected segments. These are the top five rejected segments from the last 30 days. These were ideas that were turned down because they were too, either boring or dangerous or we do tell you why we turn down each idea. Number five. Number five.
Starting point is 00:28:44 The idea was lunchbox takes an eight-hour Uber. Apparently there's no distance limit in taking Uber, but there's a time limit of eight hours. You just have to find a driver to accept it. What if we send lunchbox on an eight-hour Uber ride? We find a place eight hours away that he can visit, like the murder house or wherever,
Starting point is 00:29:01 and then we also check in with them during the ride. And we see how much it costs at the end. A lot. Yeah. It's going to be a lot. So, rejected because, one, expensive. And two, I don't think you've got to die. Yeah, eight hours.
Starting point is 00:29:18 And then, just the sake of doing it. You had to give me eight hours back. It would have been double expensive. Well, but if you were, like, sent to a murder house or something, we could have had Abby follow you. This seems real. Yeah, that's a good reject. Are you looking up to see how much it would be, Eddie? I'm trying to do, like, Chicago.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Like how much from here to Chicago, right? Too far probably. You have to do seven hours, 59 minutes. Okay. Where would that be? Somewhere in Missouri. Number four. Number four.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Amy suggested show bonding trip. Cow cuddle therapy. Yes. How did this get rejected? Did you know you can sign up for cow cuddle therapy? I think we should go as a show a bonding trip of sorts. Could be so therapeutic for us. So rejected because I don't think any of us want to cuddle with cows, first of all.
Starting point is 00:30:02 But number two, I think Amy's just looking for friends now because she's, sent two of these. She also sent that line dancing one. Oh, yeah, that's right. I think now she's just making... And don't cows kind of stink? Yeah. I mean...
Starting point is 00:30:14 If they've been outside. But these are... These cows cuddle, so... I'm sure they really want to be cuddled and they pee and, oh my God, they poop while you're cuddling. Would you guys have wanted to do that? No. Right. Next up, let's go.
Starting point is 00:30:24 Number three. Masked interviewer. Scuba see books and mystery guests, but they have to come in wearing a big mascot-like costume. We have no idea who it is. They can even talk in a different voice, but... we get to ask 10 questions to figure out who it is. That's fun. If they stump us, they get to promote whatever they want.
Starting point is 00:30:38 If we guess it within 10, no interview, no promo. That's fun. That's a great idea. The problem is we would never get anybody good to do this. Well, that's like the mass singer. Like, there's never anyone really, really good. They're always like sea-less celebrities. But they're still celebrities that you know,
Starting point is 00:30:54 and they get to promote themselves regardless. So there have been some kind of famous on there, or the people that used to be really famous. With this, if we told them this, you have to wear a mascot costume, and if we figure you out, you don't get to do your promo for whatever. Nobody would come in. I think it's a great idea, but nobody would come in.
Starting point is 00:31:10 That's funny. All right, next up. This one under the I'm just searching for show prep category. Eddie, I thought I caught my 16-year-old son drinking. No. This is a real story. Okay, tell the story. This is crazy, guys.
Starting point is 00:31:25 One weekend, I bought these truilies, like a six-pack of truilies or whatever, and I drank like two of them. No big deal. I put the rest of my refrigerator, and then one day, the six. Same day, my son walks in the kitchen while I'm doing the dishes and takes the trash out. I'm like, that's weird. He's never voluntarily taking the trash out. He's my 16-year-old son. Then I go in the refrigerator and guess what?
Starting point is 00:31:47 The truilies are gone. Wait a second. Red flag. My son's drinking. He drank those truilies and he's throwing away the trash because the evidence is in the trash. Turns out the truels were like in the back of the refrigerator. They fell off the back. I found them like two days later.
Starting point is 00:32:04 But for two days, I thought my son. was drinking. Did you confront him? No. What was the segment? Did you go look in the trash? Yeah. No, I never looked in the trash. Did you check the recycle bin? At the end of the category, had no show prep, so just made up a story. Like the time? I didn't make up a story. Just like told a story, made it extra elaborate because... What was
Starting point is 00:32:21 the underwear thing that wasn't underwear? Yeah, I found underwear in my... Women's underwear in his car. My wife found them and she thought they were women's underwear, but they ended up being like, I don't know, like a speeder or something. It would... No, it was a kid's like winter ski mask or something. Yeah. That's what it was. It's true stories, man.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Let's go to number one. Number one. The number one rejected segment. Ray Mundo heard this country artist is going to be broke very soon. Oh. I would never get on and just have Ray tell a story. Because Ray even put the artist's name in it. He was like, I want to talk about so-and-so and what they're doing.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I would never put the artist's name. Now, if we did it like a country music secret, I could understand. But Ray wanted to go hard at this person. Don't say who it is. Yeah, just some of the stuff they're doing, they're flying private to a lot of their shows when at this stage or however late or early in their career, you really aren't supposed to unless it's like really necessary. A New York or in L.A., you're not flying private to just basic shows and this person is. Another thing is they just- Wait, did you say fly private to New York or L.A.?
Starting point is 00:33:19 Yeah. No, that's way, because you never want to fly private to L.A. It's like $60,000 on this side because you're flying all the way across the country. And they're doing that? Yeah. I know. My point is right doesn't know what he's talking about. No, I do. I do. And then they also just did a new house and I don't think they have a family in kids and I heard it was a 10,000 square foot house, which sounds massive. It is. It's probably something that's going to make you go broke,
Starting point is 00:33:43 and that's why I said. I know it. I know it is. Give me a single letter in their first name. Yep. Nailed it. Mailed it. Now you got to beep it because they both did a letter. So beat the letters. I don't have a letter. You have a letter? It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:34:01 There could be... This person's making a lot of money right now. Multiple. Okay. No, there's not multiple. Yeah, there is. I can think it for like three with AI in it. But it's a very common coupling of letters. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:11 But I'm not going to let you say who it is. Oh, I haven't said. Keep beep that. Keep beeping that when I keep sending the letter. So can't do it. Yeah. And when you go out with your drink. You don't have your facts, though.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Correct. Well, when you go out with your friends, you probably shouldn't buy their drinks every time you go out with them. And I heard they always clear the tab, which is nice, but that's how you go broke. I don't know if that's how you go broke. Because if you have a lot of money. buying drinks or dinners. But you don't know how you, you don't know how much money people have.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Correct. But I, no, I can't say that because it gives it away. And they may not be paying for those jets. Like somebody could be paying for that. Jets are free? No, somebody else is paying a bill. Okay. This is why we don't do it because we throw somebody under the bus and it's not true.
Starting point is 00:34:59 I know those person's making a lot of money. Now, I don't know what they're doing with their money is responsible. So you know who he's talking about? Yes. He wrote it. He wanted to say it on the air. Okay, Ray, thank you. Yeah. That's rejected segments.
Starting point is 00:35:10 That was rejected segments. Here's a voicemail. Olivia from Michigan. I have a morning corny for Amy. What did the man with a broken leg shade to his Valentine? I have a crutch on you. I have a crutch on you. I like that.
Starting point is 00:35:28 Valentine's Day? Tomorrow? Yep. I'm ready. So I haven't really. been specific about okay how many days, how many hours. Is Galen ready though?
Starting point is 00:35:38 I have no idea. Because she was like, yeah, because she, we were talking about doing something. Don't say anything to her today. I'm not. Don't even text her and be like, I didn't. Well, can I tell you the story?
Starting point is 00:35:47 No, because you're going to spoil something. Okay. Go ahead. I just said, is she ready? She's like, well, what about Wednesday night? We could do something Wednesday night. I'm like, right? That's a lot of time today.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Hey, maybe she's not ready, man. You and might. She knows you have something planned or the thought. No, we haven't even talked. about it. We have not said one word about Valentine's Day. I just have the expectation that we're going to do something. And my expectation is hopefully by now she has an expectation that I'm going to try hard.
Starting point is 00:36:19 But I guess that's not the case. I'm not saying anything. Okay. But she's making plans. Well, I'm not, I told her I couldn't do it. But neither can she. She probably just didn't know what that day. Exactly. I agree. Once she realizes that it's the 14th tomorrow. Don't say anything to her.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Okay. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So 1 in 10 Americans that are in a relationship do not know their partner's salary. One in five aren't sure how much their partner has in savings, what their credit score is, or where they spend most of their money. Credit score, I have no idea what my wife says. The rest of it, we know. She knows what I make. I know what she makes. I know what she, I mean, and then there's access to every. Yeah, that's weird. I know lunchbox says his wife doesn't know what he makes. She has no idea what I make.
Starting point is 00:37:10 She has an idea. Okay, I guess she has an idea. But you just said she has an idea. But I'm just saying she has an idea. Like, how would she know? She has an idea based on the lifestyle that you live. And when you buy a house or when you talk about what we can afford, I think she would know. That's true.
Starting point is 00:37:28 I guess, yeah, okay. Because when I'm like, I can't pay 70%, you pay 30%. That's true. I mean, you all have different accounts. I can't imagine that it's this many people. that have, or I don't know how many people have separate accounts and completely different. Maybe you're just don't know how to log in.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Like, I have no idea her credit score. I don't know my credit score. I mean. Yeah, I don't know that I know my credit score either. I know it's good enough. And that can fluctuate here and there. Yeah, weird. The credit score one I think is kind of weird. But maybe, hey, go home today, ask your partner. How much do you make? That's a good conversation,
Starting point is 00:37:59 but I think most people know. One in 10, don't. Yeah. Okay. All right, what else? Okay. How often do you think your ex is checking your social media or do you check your exes? Anybody? No, I never check my exes.
Starting point is 00:38:16 I mean, I don't even know. Mine, who knows? Well, it's the man that is snooping on his ex's social media more. He takes a peek once every 30 days and women check their exes less often like an average of 92 days. They get curious. I guess
Starting point is 00:38:31 maybe if you're not in a relationship, you check your ex. No, Lunchbox is always messaging with his exes on Facebook. but they were i mean i wouldn't say they're exes they're we used to do you know what you're like there was no there was no commitment right but i bet you girls like from the past they definitely check on me for sure your flings yes 100% like when you're in the public eye they're looking to see what you're doing like me i wouldn't even some of them i don't even know their name so i don't know how to find them so your exes but they're just ex flings yeah you wouldn't you don't even know their name
Starting point is 00:39:07 No, like green dress, no idea of name. You just have her on your phone as green dress? Yep, yeah. It's probably more common to try to go to your ex's new person's page. I guess if you still care or you're not like married and moved on or, yeah. Oh, it's not normal to do that? I don't even know. No, Amy.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Okay. All right, what else? So a list came out of the top 30 celebrities that use private jets the most. And two country artists made the list. because I mean you expect like Elon Musk Gil Gates, Kim Kardashian Kenny Chesney Yeah he's on the list
Starting point is 00:39:42 That's a good one He's at number 27 out of 30 And I got one more Garth Nope Blake Oh that's a good one I wonder if though
Starting point is 00:39:51 If Luke would be on there Just because he gets to fly back to Idol back Yeah yeah Blake got the voice Yeah Blake's not the voice anymore He did Yeah is Blake Yeah it's Blake
Starting point is 00:39:59 Yeah he's at 23 Out of 30 So what's the point of this story? I just thought two country stars made the list. Got it. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I don't think it's a bad thing. I wish I was on that list. Yeah, I mean, it's... Okay, got it.
Starting point is 00:40:15 I don't know if you were shaming them or not. Oh, no. But this year out of the top 30, Taylor Swift didn't even make the list. Look at her. She had two jets in Tokyo waiting for her just in case one of them broke down. So smart. She had two. I know. That's cool. I mean, that's my...
Starting point is 00:40:31 Maybe that's my file. That was Amy's Pile of Strait. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. There's a doorman in New York City. It's on the upper east side, to be exact, and he's at work. He's just chilling out there and looking at people. Oh, you need a cab?
Starting point is 00:40:51 Yeah, baby, baby, cabby. Then he sees a woman walking by with her purse. Two guys come out of a car. Boom, pin her up against the glass. They start trying to steal her purse. She fights back. What does the do? He runs up.
Starting point is 00:41:03 Hey, get away from her. He breaks up the fight. They run away, so she's safe. and she still has her purse, and he's being called a hero, but lunchbox, you're going to hate this. He wants to be anonymous. That is heroic because he could have been hurt. Correct.
Starting point is 00:41:18 Like, to me, a hero is doing something for others whenever you could actually suffer from it, being injured or hurt. And he definitely could have been hurt or killed. So that is heroic. What's crazy, too, is it happened in broad daylight. He's like, man, New York City's changing. This doesn't happen very often where, like, just someone gets mugged like that in broad daylight. Did she have a bulldog in her purse?
Starting point is 00:41:40 She didn't. She didn't not have one. Those sayings, they're stealing them like crazy on the streets of New York in daylight. He did say what was crazy is when the guys were running away. He's like, hey, man, she tried to steal my phone. And it was all a lie. It's like, these guys are just weird. But anyway, he's a hero.
Starting point is 00:41:54 He saved her. And we don't know who it is. We don't know who he is. But that's okay. He's still a hero. He is. It's a magical door, man. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:42:01 That was tell me something good. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and host of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that,
Starting point is 00:42:36 that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. On a recent episode of the podcast Money and Wealth with John Ho'Brien, I sit down with Tiffany the Buccaneista Aliche to talk about what it really takes. takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial
Starting point is 00:43:19 discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about like, I'm going to get rich. That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:43:58 I'm Anna Navarro, and on my new podcast, Bleep with Anna Navarro, I'm talking to the people closest to the biggest issues happening in your community and around the world. Because I know deep down inside right now, we are all cursing and asking what the bleep is going on. I'm talking to people like Julie K. Brown, who broke the explosive story on Jeffrey Epstein in 2018. These victims have been let down time and time again for decades and decades by local law enforcement, by federal law enforcement, by administration after administration. The Justice Department through, I think we counted four presidential administrations, failed these victims. Listen to Bleep with Anna Navarro as part of the My Cultura podcast network, available on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There was a story about this radio station in Alabama, and they stole the tower.
Starting point is 00:45:01 It's a 200 foot tower. It's stolen. It's just stolen 200 feet. That's like some David Copperfield stuff. Yeah. Like, watch, I'll make the Statue of Liberty disappear. So WJLX is the radio station. They had to shut down.
Starting point is 00:45:17 They're in Jasper, Alabama. Their tower was taken. Someone just in the middle of the night, can't even disband. It didn't take it apart. Yeah, it took it apart. Like, it's just gone. Like, how does someone drive up in the middle of the night
Starting point is 00:45:31 and have the tools and the trucks in the, I mean. It's tall as crap. 200 feet. It's like someone coming and just stealing your shed. Like you're like my shed. I see you can take the stuff in the shed, but you took the whole shed. So what do you do? You knock it over and then break it apart?
Starting point is 00:45:45 Or do you climb up to the top and start undoing bolts? Like, what do you do? Can't do that. And what are you going to do with it? The greatest prank ever. Wow. Put it on TikTok. Rebuild it at your house.
Starting point is 00:45:55 That's funny. Yeah, I don't know. That's from the New York Post, but they dismantled the tower by cutting the wires that secured it. And then they took other equipment from the property too. But that tower is, it's legitimately 200 feet tall. which I thought was crazy to steal. It's like when they stole that big Ronald McDonald out in front of the, like, what are you going to,
Starting point is 00:46:13 you can't put that anywhere? Because the whole town's like, has anyone seen our Ronald McDonald? But it is funny. It is. But then what are you going to do with it? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:21 I mean, we stole tables from Taco Cabana one time. Tables? Yeah. Oh, with the beer brands on it? It was so cool. How did you steal full tables? Because they have a patio. So you drive up in a pickup truck
Starting point is 00:46:31 and you jump over and you stick them in the back of the truck and you drive off. Lunchbox is the reason they're chained down now. feel guilty that you stole? No, man, we were in college and it was just cool to have it in your apartment in college. It was like, do you feel guilty though that you stole? Just straight, just stole. No.
Starting point is 00:46:47 Okay, just making sure. I mean, we've all stole. Len, stolen. Stolen. All right, let's go to Amy and get in the morning corny. The morning corny. What do you call a Valentine's Day candy that didn't arrive on time? What's that?
Starting point is 00:47:04 Chocolate. That was the morning corny. I thought you'd like that one. That's how you spell it too. Joggle late. You know, you love being on time. I know a lot of you guys are going to roll your eyes, but tomorrow's Valentine's Day.
Starting point is 00:47:22 You just do something. You don't have to go, you know, trickle roses for half a mile into a spring, a fresh spring with swans. You have to do all that. Is that what you're doing? No, no, no, no. No.
Starting point is 00:47:37 But just an acknowledgement. Because, yeah, it's a holiday that's been made up, but everything's made up. So just acknowledge it. That's all I'm saying. You have to go crazy. You should acknowledge it. I don't know. Eddie's Valentine's Day, you know, you're...
Starting point is 00:47:52 Oh. It's going to be awesome, man. I already got my tickets, by the way. It's your... But you did it for you. No, no, no. My wife also loves Bob Marley. And it's just crazy that that movie comes out on Valentine's Day.
Starting point is 00:48:01 I'm like, this is something you did for you, though. For both of us. What she asked for was a trip to California. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And you still haven't done that? No, we're not going to do it. We're not going to do it because I talked to scuba Steve and I looked for tickets online.
Starting point is 00:48:17 And he said, dude, if you're not in those first three sections, don't even go. Because I guess the venue's really big. It's called the Hollywood Bowl. I've been to the Hollywood Bowl. It's fine. You should go. Yeah, but scuba says if you're not in those first three sections,
Starting point is 00:48:28 it's not worth it. You're just looking for any reason not to take your wife to something that she wants to do. That's fine. I'm not going to argue with you. I'm not going to argue with you. Well, then get tickets in the first three sections. No, no, no, they're sold out.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Sold out. Lunchbox every year goes and gets reservations, and he'll get online and get ahead of time, because then people, today, I'll be like, I don't have anywhere to go. I'm in trouble. And he tries to come on the air and sell them, which is always funny.
Starting point is 00:48:49 And last year, he sold them to a guy in Vegas, but he sold them to a guy, and it wasn't even the right place. Like he said, this is the place in the casino. And the guy ended up going to, like, a cafe. It was where lunchbox had set the reservation. So it didn't go well. last year. But what do you have this year? Oh, we got many reservations. What, what cities?
Starting point is 00:49:10 We got Knoxville. Okay. We got Wichita. Okay. We got Denver. And what's my other one? Hold on. I've been selling out. So I got to make sure inventory is going low. You've been selling out. Okay. Yeah, people, dude, people DM me on Instagram saying, hey, do you have anything? And I'm like, well. Are you lying? Yes, he's lying. Okay. So, because he didn't answer his question. He's, what, he's stalling so you can look at the So you got Wichita, Denver, Knoxville, Tampa. And Tampa. Oh, good one. Do you want to tell us where the reservations are at these places or do you not know?
Starting point is 00:49:42 No, no, I got them right here. Hold on on one second. So if you're going to be wanting to go down in Tampa, we have you reserved at Basito Mexican in Tampa, Florida. What time? Well, here's the thing. I thought maybe this was a bad calculation on my part. I thought the people in Florida were all old, so I did it for 445. They're not old.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Not Tampa. Yeah. No, Tampa's cool. Mm-hmm. Yeah, see, I just had in my head like... So you got a lunch reservation. Well, I thought, A... Late lunch.
Starting point is 00:50:17 No, I thought older people or people like Bobby that like to go to bed early. So I said 445, then they still can go watch the sunset on the beach. Okay. That's pretty good. I feel like 445 is probably available a lot of places. Oh, that was a big. To buy it from them? Right.
Starting point is 00:50:36 Wow, that's the worst one you've ever had. Not the place, but the time. Whoa, what are you talking about? There are plenty of people that go that, you go early. Not on Valentine's Day. And this is what I would say, too. If you have a 4.45, you just stretch it and go five. But even then it's early.
Starting point is 00:50:52 It's just that four number behind it. That's tough. Okay, go ahead. Yeah, and then Wichita, I have Chester's, Chapphouse, and wine bar. That sounds pretty good. An iconic Wichita's Steakhouse overlooking the lake at waterfront. And what time? That is at 9 p.m.
Starting point is 00:51:14 A little later, because they stay up later in Wichita. Yeah. Everybody's like 12 that lives there, so they stay up all night. In Florida, everybody's 100. In Wichita. Wild, Wichita, you know what I'm saying? Like they got to put the kids, the bed, don't want to pay the babysitter to do that. 9 p.m.
Starting point is 00:51:28 Yeah. Okay. What are you charging for these? Because these first two are not very good. 100 bucks 100 bucks for a 445 reservation Yeah Okay that includes the food
Starting point is 00:51:39 Right a wine What does that include? It includes no food No you gotta pay for your own food man Got it okay next time I mean we can negotiate if you don't think $100 is good enough Hey call us I'll give you another one Go ahead All right hold I gotta go back in my email now
Starting point is 00:51:53 I'm curious how he finds these restaurants Like has he dined there himself Like does he know about these places No I just go and I Google the best restaurants In that city and like eater has a list of the best restaurants and boom, that's what you do.
Starting point is 00:52:09 And some of them, they don't let you make reservations on like open table? Yeah, so I was like, I can't do that. You have to put your credit card down at some places. That's right. That's why I was like,
Starting point is 00:52:20 can't do those. So these you didn't do that with. A couple I did. Oh, you did. I put $25 per person. Okay. And I only made them for two. I thought about making them for three
Starting point is 00:52:30 because there may be some throuples out there, but I was like... What? I hear you. That'd be tough to find them, but yeah. Is that what they're called? Thruples? Well, what is that?
Starting point is 00:52:39 Three people. Three people as a couple. That's a couple. No, it is a real thing. It's just what... Right. No, it is a real thing. Okay. Go ahead. Next one. Okay. Hold on. I clicked on the wrong thing. Here we go. That's not it. You knew what about you just bit, right? Because I just teased it like four minutes before we went on the air. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I'm not good at organization. You don't say. Ah, man, where to go. All right. Hold on. Where's my open table? Where did it go?
Starting point is 00:53:06 So lunchbox every year goes and reserves Valentine's night dinners. It then sells them to people, the reservations that never made a reservation. That's right. He knows people are struggling last minute. So he's got a 445 in Tampa, a 9 in Wichita. Yeah. And then we have the Bindery. Benderie, and I believe this is in Denver, man.
Starting point is 00:53:30 and this is a top of the line restaurant. And we're going to go in there at 8.30. Not bad. Perfect for party at two. We're getting a little better. Yeah. 830 is still a little late for my blood. But 830 is good.
Starting point is 00:53:45 What kind of food is the bendery? I'll tell you right now. He's Googling it. He's got to look it up. Oh, the bendery Denver. Here we go. Oh, my goodness. Oh, how nice is that?
Starting point is 00:53:56 4.3, 1,153 Google reviews. Look at that, Eddie. That's just a review. Eatery, market and bakery. Oh, my. Wow. But you get groceries and then have a little dinner or what? I mean, you're talking about
Starting point is 00:54:11 Duck Hash. Well, that's breakfast. Oh, that's breakfast. Oh, hold on. Yeah, we eat the dinner in you. Minutes. There you go. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:20 Oh, dinner right here. Yep. Oh, they have Barada Nabadalalana. Oh, less than Nabilavada. They have chestnut honey. Dang. Thyme, thyme, time, baby back ribs. Oh, I want to be there.
Starting point is 00:54:36 Cocoa nib, crusted pork belly and Casa Bazzala. Maple lime roasted acorn squash. I mean, this, people. Is this one of the places you had to put money down? Yeah. And how much you charge it for that one? A hundred bucks. So yeah, I need Denver to come through.
Starting point is 00:54:53 That's 8.30. And then we're going down the road to Knoxville. You ever been to Knoxville? Many times. I mean, many times. Have you ever been to? in Knoxville? Yes, I have, actually.
Starting point is 00:55:04 Stop there a couple of times on the road. And I am at the pharmacy in Knoxville, 8.30 p.m. Which serves what? Oh, amazing food, Amy. I mean, have you never been, Amy? Let them Google it. All antibiotics, all the time. Man, I'm telling you, organization,
Starting point is 00:55:22 that's one thing I need to work on is my organization. Oh, yeah, the one thing. 4.5 stars on Google reviews, 910 reviews. Let's go. casually, airy, crafting, thoughtfully sourced Southern-inspired offerings. Exactly. Oh, look at that. Is that a burger?
Starting point is 00:55:40 That's a burger, man. That's like a salmon burger. Okay. So is it like the pharmacy that's here? No. Amy, no. Starters. It's pharmacy, F-A-R-M.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Pharmacy. That's a cool name. Yeah. And for starters, you're going to get the tuna toostata or you can do the black and blue fries. They're going to go to the whole menu. Then let's get the salad. You want it enlightenable? I'm looking at reservations right now
Starting point is 00:56:02 and you can get them for free. That's a different day. That's a different day. Okay, never mind. Good try. But we are open for business. And it's at what time? It's at 8.30.
Starting point is 00:56:13 Perfect. And so you just want people to call the show and say, I live in Denver. I live in Knoxville. I'd like to have that reservation. I'll Venmo you $100. 100%. That's all we got to do.
Starting point is 00:56:23 But what about the 50 bucks you put down? Hey, that's business cost. So you're just going to make $50. Don't make 50 bucks on those. Okay. Well, good luck to you, man. But don't they, once you show up, you get the 50 back. You're not, you don't pay to have that.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Oh, really? To reserve it. And if you show up, that money goes back on your credit card. Okay, good. All right, see, there you go. I didn't know that. It doesn't go towards your meal. I don't, I don't shop at those kind of places, so I don't know.
Starting point is 00:56:51 But yeah, hey, we're open for business. Let's go. Viagra and Venison. Oh, pharmacy. Yeah. I don't get it. Wow. That'd be a good one.
Starting point is 00:56:59 It's pharmacy. I get it. I get it. But yeah, so if anybody in Knoxville, anybody in Wichita, Tampa, or Denver, you're looking for somewhere to eat? Oh, I mean, Chester's Chop House. Morgan, you ever been there? No.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Oh, yeah, because you're a vegetarian. You don't need this. I mean, look at that. Oh, that lakefront view. Eddie, look at that beauty. It is a nice restaurant. Which one, though, Wichita one? Yeah, not pharmacy.
Starting point is 00:57:23 I'll make some of that protein prozac. Oh, because it's pharmacy. Yeah, pharmacy. We go with that thing again. But yeah, this, I mean, who. Well, there we go. Anybody you want to buy them from lunchbox? We will allow it.
Starting point is 00:57:35 He does this bit every year. Last year, I'm going to tell you that he sold one to a nice place. And the guy went and said they didn't have the reservation. And he had to go to a cafe next to the nice place. Dude, house bacon to start your night off as the chop house out. I was listening right now so we could call and tell us again what happened last year. Oh, man. It is what it is.
Starting point is 00:57:51 I like to say that because that means what he sells you, it's over. Once you buy it, no returns, right? Yes, correct. USDA Prime New York Strip. 14 ounce, $56 on the oak fired grill at the chopout. They got that, oak fired grill? That's right.
Starting point is 00:58:05 That's cool. 877, 77, Bobby. That's our phone number. 877-77-B-O-B-B-W-B-Y. Swiftie Lauren is in studio with us. Hey. So, highest rated Super Bowl ever. I know.
Starting point is 00:58:19 I saw that. And what do you credit that to? Taylor Swift, for sure. Okay. What about the fact that it was an overtime game that went long and it was a really great game? I mean, that I'm sure has some factor into it too, but so many people turned in, tuned in just to see Taylor, like people who would have never cared about the game beforehand. Fair enough. I will agree that was probably a factor. How did you feel, and I want your honest opinion, and I don't want you to sugarcoat it when you saw Travis Kelsey yelling at Andy Reed, angrily aggressively, unlike anything I've seen in professional football at that level, what did you think?
Starting point is 00:58:58 Yeah, it was not a good look. Does it make you think he may be a bit too reactionary in general, and that could bubble over into personal life? I did think about that when I saw it. I was like, oh, like that. Because it could maybe be like, maybe that's what he does when him and Taylor get into a fight or something like that. I would like to think he just did it in the heat of the moment for the game,
Starting point is 00:59:21 because it's obviously the biggest game is on the line, everything like that. I would like to think that too, by the way. Yeah, but yeah, no, I did have that thought. I'm not going to lie. It's kind of ick. It was. It was. And if they didn't win, I think it would have been even worse.
Starting point is 00:59:33 I agree. And I like Travis Kelsey. I like Taylor Swift. Did you watch us comments after the game on the stage? Yes. Did you feel they were a little ick as well? Yeah, and her face looked a little icky too. Like she almost had like that realization.
Starting point is 00:59:46 But then they were partying after. They were and making out. So making out looking cute. Where do they stand in your mind right now? I think they're completely fine. I think they're happy. Completely? I mean.
Starting point is 00:59:57 I don't know. I just can't help but imagine, like, if that was your boyfriend. She probably said something. She's so smart. Yeah. And just having known Taylor a little bit, so smart and so calculated. Like, really one of the best, like, smartest business people. Her at Garth, there's only a few that I know about in the public space that they're doing strategy themselves with a great team.
Starting point is 01:00:21 But, man, if I, I could see that not working now because of how they. that looked and the perception of that. I don't know. Not working. I just don't want to think about them breaking up. I think once like probably yesterday, once everything I kind of calmed down, she probably said something to him and was like, hey, well, you need to calm down. What kind of happened there?
Starting point is 01:00:44 I don't know. I think they're going to be fine. I'll just hope that doesn't reflect what's going on behind the scenes in their relationship at all. Is he good looking to you? I think he's good looking, yeah. I don't know. I don't like a guy in a beard, a big beard like that.
Starting point is 01:00:54 Oh, that's not your thing? No, it's not. because I was watching them at the club and I like love. I think it's cool. Yeah. And so they're like kissing or whatever while they're dancing. But all I could see was that big beard. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 01:01:06 And how not just Taylor, but any women, if you have a man with a big beard, that's just got to be a weird thing to kiss. I'm just not a beard guy when it comes to my dudes. But there are beard women, right? Yeah, yeah. I mean, the way his beard is right now, yeah, isn't my favorite look of his,
Starting point is 01:01:22 but I like a guy with a beard. You do like a big beard? Yeah, but maybe he needs to trim it down a little. Yeah, I like my guy's clean chaving. Oh, stop. He does, man. Well, if there's a guy that I think, wow, that's a really good looking guy, it's rarely a dude with a beard. There's something about facial hair that I just, if I wanted to do it, I just don't think I'd like facial hair.
Starting point is 01:01:42 But there's a beard and then there's a beard. Yeah, yeah. Like a beard is okay, but then a bee, when it bleeds into beard. Like a big, like. Yeah, and Travis is leaning that way. Yeah, there's like the thicker ones and the longer ones. Yeah, yeah, I don't like that look, but when it's more... I ain't trying to make out his easy top.
Starting point is 01:02:00 Right. That's a long one. You know what I'm saying? Well, and so were you happy the Chiefs won? Oh yeah, I was really happy, so happy to see Taylor down there, then got the whole after party celebration. It was really cute. Did you see that in Tokyo, because the airport they were flying from,
Starting point is 01:02:14 they didn't have the parts to fix the plane that she was flying back over, so they took two planes over just in case? No, I didn't see that. So they had two planes. Because if something happens with the plane, you're just screwed. It's like if you're flying, Southwest and the wheels broke. You guys sit for a while until they fix it,
Starting point is 01:02:30 but they didn't have the parts there to the plane that she had, so they took two planes. That's pretty cool. She really wanted to go to that game. Strategic, yeah. Listen, I hear you. She wasn't missing that game. I hear you.
Starting point is 01:02:41 I hear you, but that's baller. I mean, that's awesome. Two planes. Why didn't they let her on the stage, like at the end? No, no. Here's the thing. This is why she's cool. Can I say?
Starting point is 01:02:50 Yeah, yeah. This is why she's cool. She don't want to take the spotlight from them. Really? Yeah, she stayed off because she knew if she was up. up there that the camera would be on her. And I thought that was legit. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:59 No, I'd say that the stage should be for players only. I don't want, Brittany Mahomes doesn't he need to be up there. No wives? Why don't people not like Britney Mahomes? I like Britney Mahomes. It's not about liking her. It's about the other guys on the team. They help win that trophy.
Starting point is 01:03:13 They should be on the stage and not Britney Mahomes. Sorry. All the guys don't get on stage anyway. But they should. That's what I'm saying. But that would have to be a really big stage. Yeah. I don't mind if the families are up there.
Starting point is 01:03:24 Oh, I don't hear it. Especially if it's like the premiere. players. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, I want to see Patrick Mahont with his wife and kids afterwards. Because the owners have their kids up there. Right, I don't think they should. Well, I'll tell them, dang it. When I don't know the answer to this, when Tom Brady
Starting point is 01:03:38 would be up there, would Jazeel go? Yeah, I think she would, wasn't she? No, I don't think she got on stage. I don't know, he won seven Super Bowls, so I don't know that she wasn't ever up there, but it was never a thing like, Tom and Jazeel. I'm sure they wanted Taylor to get up there. Yeah. And I thought it was
Starting point is 01:03:54 really cool of her not to. I also thought it was cool that Travis Kelsey once he came off, he hugged his mom first. And Taylor was cool enough. She, like, backed away to let it happen, yeah. I still don't think it's real. How can you not think it's real after all this? I'm going to think it's real.
Starting point is 01:04:09 And it's because after going to her concert, all her facial expressions are so fake. No, no, she's a performer. There's a difference in someone who's performing and someone who has fake expressions. Like, I mean, she is playing the piano at her concert, right? And she takes out her ear, What are you called those things?
Starting point is 01:04:26 Yeah, and in her ear. And the crowd is cheering and she's like, what, you're cheering for me? Like, no way. It's like, shut up, Taylor. Like, you know. She's always been someone who is very demonstrative. Yeah, she pauses and takes it. No, no, but it's so like, but you know they're cheering for you.
Starting point is 01:04:45 Like, you've sold out the stadium. It's part of the show. It's part of the performance. Yeah, it's a performance. So that's why when I see her facial expressions at the game, I'm like, those aren't real. Okay. That's weird. As an actor, you should know this stuff. But also, yeah, that's what I was going to say.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Like, lunchwugs probably tapping into this because he's so authentic. Yeah. Yes. So he can pick up when others aren't. Did you hear he wouldn't go to the Super Bowl? Lunchwarks. You wouldn't go to the Super Bowl? No, I would go.
Starting point is 01:05:09 He was like, I want to go. And then he said, I need a flight and a place to stay. Oh, yes. I heard about all this. And so I offered him a flight. And a listener, in the Air Force, offered him a place to stay. And then he's like, okay, well, now I'm. on any drip, I need clothes.
Starting point is 01:05:27 So something tells us that that also isn't authentic, that maybe his wife told him, you can't go. You guys heard the clip. My wife said I could go. Hey, watch this. I can get any clip. Here's the clip of Eddie saying I'm six foot five. I'm six foot five.
Starting point is 01:05:43 Oh, Bobby is six foot five. That went real well. Anything. Yeah, you could make somebody's everything. Yeah. Well, Lauren, I'm happy. I didn't get that one, bones. I'm sorry. Sorry, it's amazing.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Hey, swing and a miss. I'm happy for you. I'm happy for Taylor and Travis. I like it. Yeah, I love to see it. I think it's real. I think, though, that there was a couple ick instances.
Starting point is 01:06:04 Yeah. No, even I had the ick kind of washed in it a little bit. And I love them, so. All right. Well, thank you. Happy Super Bowl. When you say his comments on stage were ick, what did he say that was so...
Starting point is 01:06:14 He was just kind of out of control. Yeah. It's like a child. Yeah, it is. Yeah, Los Vegas. Oh, I think that was the big deal. I don't think it was a big deal. If it's just a football play.
Starting point is 01:06:24 You're talking about one of the smartest, most calculated. She wants the parts of her that she wants to be seen, seen, very guarded, super vulnerable, but specific vulnerabilities. And then her dude just like, I'm peeing on everybody. Watch this. Yeah, it's like, I'm pushing a coach at 65. And now look at me. A while back, she did an interview about how she prefers the word strategic overcalculated. I could say you can be both.
Starting point is 01:06:54 I'm taking a dump on the field. It's like, dude. Lauren, thank you. Thank you. We have to do the news. Oh, yeah. Go ahead. Yeah, you want to do the news with us?
Starting point is 01:07:04 You can just hang out. That way you don't have to make a noise when you drop the microphone. Ray, hit me with the news. Bobby's big. Stories. Married people are happier than those who aren't married.
Starting point is 01:07:14 People who are married report being much happier with their relationship status. Maybe the happiness tied to marriage has something to do with people and what they expect from. So a couple, we have three places here.
Starting point is 01:07:24 I'm gonna go to Amy first. Amy, you're not married anymore. No, no, not ooh. I get to ask her this because she's not married anymore. Amy, your thoughts on this. I think there was a time when that was true for me and the time when that wasn't true for me. I think that it depends on the situation.
Starting point is 01:07:42 Swiftie, Lauren, you're about to get married? What month? In May. Wow. I know it's coming up soon. Are we going to that? We don't ask that. You can't.
Starting point is 01:07:51 No, no, no, no, no. Don't answer that, Lauren. Don't even look at Eddie. Just move on. Because if she doesn't want to invite us, then we can't pressure her. That's an awful thing to ask. I was just thinking it, man. I just came out.
Starting point is 01:08:04 Loan, are you excited to get married? I am. Yeah, I can't wait. And when you hear that married people are happier than those who aren't, what are your thoughts? I hope that's true. Yeah. You and your fiancé, do you live together? We do, yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:16 So you're already learning. I feel like we're almost kind of married. Like, we've lived together for like two. There's definitely a difference though. Big time. Because you can live together, but then once you, you can live together for five years, but once you're married, you can't just move out. Can't leave.
Starting point is 01:08:31 It's done. Yeah, I mean, it takes some steps. But it's definitely different. And in the greatest way, and sometimes not the greatest way, you don't have to constantly strive to impress and keep the person. Because a little bit of comfort there. know, yes. You know. You let your guard down.
Starting point is 01:08:59 Not. You can just be the full version of yourself a little more, even if you weren't, a little more because you know they're not just going to leave tomorrow. There's a couple things I got to go through. They might eventually. Pink paused a show when a woman in the audience went into labor. So she got on the mind of the paramedics
Starting point is 01:09:17 and then she's having a baby. It's so cool. Consequences.net had the story. However, it reminds me the time that lunchbox claimed to be at a post office. And a woman went in the labor and he helped deliver the baby. Yeah, I held her hand why she was pushing. Is that true? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:31 It was right there on Palmer Lane. Nobody has ever backed this story up. Not a single person, we've talked about it for years, not a single person that was. It was a small post office. In the post office. It worked there. The woman, apparently, who delivered the baby. I feel like that would have made the news.
Starting point is 01:09:47 None of it has been verified. No. There was like five people in there. Sorry. And the other four have never called the show. We've asked and talked about it. I hear you. The Golden Bachelorette is officially happening.
Starting point is 01:09:58 So it was the Golden Bachelorette. Oh, yeah. That's the golden bachelorette. How old is she? Or do they have the person yet? Or they're just announcing it. I think it's like the runner-up. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:10:06 That's usually what they do. Yeah. So it's somebody like that. I don't know how old is? How old are they on that show? 65. Hopefully not much older. I mean,
Starting point is 01:10:16 why? You've got a word they're going to die on set. No. Hollywood reporter. They died during the show. No. Ewan McGregor's daughter was a senior in high school. school and she had to watch a movie in their
Starting point is 01:10:27 movie class and the movie class showed a movie with her dad in it and her dad had full frontal nudity in the movie. Oh, that's on the teacher. That's on the teacher. Right, but they can even show a full frontal nudity shot at school? I think it's if it's a movie class, it's like art because if you're studying like mythology or
Starting point is 01:10:43 sculptures, you see ding-dings. Yeah, and that's not act like she's just going to a normal school. She's probably at some sophisticated rich school that has different rules. Maybe. That's awkward. I'm just saying probably. it's like an advanced movie class where you can't have new. Imagine though you're in a class where you're studying
Starting point is 01:10:59 cinema and they don't, no, can't show you nudies. Well, no, that's a big part of it. It is? So you ever watch a movie? Full frontal men? Well, no, no, I'm just saying in general, what are you going to keep all nudity off? There's a lot of movies that you'd be cutting big parts of it.
Starting point is 01:11:13 What were they could have done it without her dad? I mean, let's be real. I would have paused it. What was that movie that Lunchbox told you to watch and there was a bunch of stargazer or something? No, Box of Moonlight. Yeah. He made us watch Box of Moonlight,
Starting point is 01:11:24 and I swear it's about a ding-dong a minute. It's too much, man. Yeah, it was like a ding-dong a minute for sure. But it was a good movie, wasn't it? It was okay. It was just a ding-dong a minute. Ways to deal with your team losing a big game.
Starting point is 01:11:39 Mental health professionals express the importance of properly dealing with the disappointment of a loss. First off, they say lay off alcohol for a while. Excessive drinking makes you feel worse. Also take a break from social media. Yeah, I'll do that. I can't because... Yeah, you're just seeing it everywhere.
Starting point is 01:11:51 It's everywhere. There were times where I wouldn't even put it on ESPN for 4. eight hours because I didn't want to see a pop up on the screen on the bottom and the scroll. So I would just avoid anything where I could see it and be reminded of it. And the best way to get over your team is to be optimistic. There's always next year. That's right. Eddie.
Starting point is 01:12:07 Every year. I feel you, man. This is our year. This next year? The Cowboys. The Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl. Or pick a new team. Never.
Starting point is 01:12:15 Are you talking about? Never. Don't be ridiculous. If people just pick new teams, I would have picked new teams long ago. But I don't do that because I'm loyal to the Arkansas Razziebacks. I love them as much as anything other than my wife. wife and my dog I may trade the dogs for National Championship and I love
Starting point is 01:12:30 those dogs. Also I was joking I was joking. Were you? Yes because I know how loyal people are to their teams. I just Arkansas won a game on Sunday. We play Tennessee on Wednesday basketball. We can go to that game? It's Valentine's. Oh so? But that's what you love. Eddie's doing what I'm doing what I love. No no no Amy stop that. I love my wife. I love my wife and we have a new episode of too much access with the Arkansas basketball team.
Starting point is 01:13:00 And if you put a comment on it at Mr. Bobby Bones, we have one ball left that we sign and send out to somebody who puts a comment up. But are their football? This is our last football? I know. But we send them out signed for basketball. All right.
Starting point is 01:13:10 I think that that's it. Anything you want to say, Amy? I don't think so. Lauren, anything you want to end on? No, I think I'm good to. I will say to lunchbox. I knew you had something good. There we go.
Starting point is 01:13:22 Like I'm crazy. I knew you had something. Go ahead. Well, no, Travis is going out on Taylor's. tour with her. So he's going to be out on air. So I feel like if it was not real, why would he waste his time going around? I agree. I agree.
Starting point is 01:13:36 It's real for him. It ain't real for her. I think it's real for her. She wouldn't have put up with this much backlash that she's gotten in. Yeah. Yeah, come on. Did you see they were playing, they were at the club and there was a remix of like Taylor's song. And they're pointing.
Starting point is 01:13:51 Yeah. I mean, I know. I'm not watching that. Who knows? Who knows me? I watched all of it. You watched it five times. Hey, I love love. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:14:00 All right, thanks. Those were Bobby's B. Stories. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans,
Starting point is 01:14:22 a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 01:14:59 On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Financial education is not really, always about like, I'm going to get rich. American soccer is about to explode. The World Cup is coming.
Starting point is 01:16:06 Ramos sending on the Army Stewart of the chip. I'm Tab Ramos. I'm Tom Boe. On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, you'll get the real storylines. I'm not worried about Policic. I'm not worried about Balligan. I'm not worried about McKinney. My only concern is what happens in the back. The biggest decisions.
Starting point is 01:16:31 If you're going to look at stats and numbers, he has no shot at making this World Cup team. And the truth. about the U.S. national team. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfinals or potentially a great run into the semifinals. The World Cup is almost here. Experience it all with us.

As tradition, lunchbox goes and buys reservations, or just makes them and then puts his money down, because you have to put like a deposit down, and then sells them to listeners.
Starting point is 01:17:10 Yep. in different parts of the country. And so you have four cities. What do you have? I have Wichita, Denver, Tampa, and Knoxville. So Tyler and Wichita is on right now. And you're going to sell up for $100. Yeah, Tyler, Tyler, man.
Starting point is 01:17:26 Sorry you didn't make any plans, but I got you. I'm going to save you right here. Lunchbox, what's going on, man? Hey, you ready to buy or what? Well, I got a question. Go ahead. So I've been to restaurants where they require reservation. Never once because they ask for like an ID when I get there and check in.
Starting point is 01:17:49 So what's stopping me from just going into Chester's here and saying my name's lunchbox? Good. Try that. See if that's under the name. Oh, you booked a fake name. Boom. Smart, dude. Yeah. Come on, guys. Say my first rodeo. I'm a businessman making business deals trying to get that money. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:07 So, Tyler, good luck. So it's under Jason, huh? Oh, no. You can try that also. Jason Gible. Jason Gible? You can try it?
Starting point is 01:18:15 I bet that's it. But you know that people would be too, that they would try that so you'd. Exactly, guys. Oh, Nico Jackson. Nico Jackson. You can try Nico Jackson. Ain't it?
Starting point is 01:18:28 Tyler, so are you a buyer or are you just a commenter? Just a commenter right now. But lunchbox, if you can't sell it, I mean, you got my number, man. No, no, no, no. I'm going to sell it, dude. I'm not going to call you and give it to you. You can buy it right now.
Starting point is 01:18:45 Is there a price under a hundred bucks you sell for? I mean, if you want to buy it now price, since you're on the phone, I'll sell it to you for 75. What's the time again? What's the place? It is at Chester's. And we are doing, let's see, what time is Chester's. I forgot. 9 p.m.
Starting point is 01:19:01 Thanks, Mike. Chester's shop house. And one. So, Tyler, no go. You don't want to buy it. No, not right now. All right, buddy. All right.
Starting point is 01:19:11 Thank you for calling. Have a great day. You're running out of time. All right, thanks. I see you. Brooke is on. Let's talk to Brooke real quick. Hey, Brooke, welcome to the show.
Starting point is 01:19:18 What's going on? Morning, studio. Morning. Wait, where are you from, Brooke? I am from Wichita Town. All right. I got you right here, Chester Shop House.
Starting point is 01:19:29 Okay, so I was just wondering, lunch, if you're being fully truthful to the people that you're selling you Valentine's Day reservations to. So here's my question. So you said that you booked them through Open Table. Yeah. And I have tried to book, like, on specific days, many reservations on that specific days or birthdays and things like that.
Starting point is 01:19:57 And Open Table doesn't even let you do that. I don't know what you mean. You have to have the reservation super spaced out. What? Super what? Space out. I don't know what that means. I mean...
Starting point is 01:20:10 Oh, like if you... Yeah, you can't use the app for two restaurants. I don't have an app, by the way. I just go to the website and book it. That's it. And then I get an email says, you have a reservation. Under your Nico Jackson account, you do one. Yeah, you must be doing multiple accounts.
Starting point is 01:20:25 I have the same email address. Okay. Brook, but last year he sold one and the listener didn't get into the restaurant. So we shall see. What if you don't sell them? Then I guess there will be nobody at the table. But what about the money that you? you've put down as a deposit.
Starting point is 01:20:41 Hey, in business, you take chances. You take risks. Okay. You know what I mean? Calculate a risk. Yeah. Try to turn a profit. Sometimes you come up short.
Starting point is 01:20:48 Sometimes people shudder their business. They go out of business because they guessed wrong. So you would shudder your business if this went wrong? Ah, man. No, I'll be back next year. I'm not scared. All right, well, you guys can call us. I mean, people lose millions of dollars a year in some businesses.
Starting point is 01:21:00 Like Lyft and Uber, they're burning money. Their burn rate. Those two are interesting examples. What? I didn't matter. Hey, Abby, how are you? I'm good. Big deal for Abby here speaking of Valentine's Day.
Starting point is 01:21:14 You want to tell them what happened? You got engaged. No, no. She was hiding that hand. Do you see it hidden? She was hiding her hand. It did look like that. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:21:24 I was like, this is bananas. Go ahead. Oh, with my what I'm doing? Yeah. My influencer deal? She got an influencer deal. Yeah. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:21:32 For Valentine's Day? So there is, it's called Ray Stevens Cabaret. It's a venue here in Nashville. And so I'm doing a commercial for them because he has a show tomorrow night. But then there's also like a talent competition the following night. So I'm actually getting paid to do commercials for it. This is my first one. And then she's going to go see.
Starting point is 01:21:51 We played the audio on air. I know, but that actually wasn't like 100% like sure. That was kind of a tester. Yeah. Oh. So this is actually. You're welcome. Look at this.
Starting point is 01:22:00 You're welcome. You're welcome. You're welcome. Say thank you. Why? Thank you. You ain't getting it without me. What did you do except torment her?
Starting point is 01:22:11 I bring her on the air. I bring her on the air. Me busting her doing the test run, we played those on the air. They heard they're like, man, we got more pub. Let's go ahead and book Abby. You make me look bad to people. That's true. Does it work?
Starting point is 01:22:26 Yes, it makes you, yes, it works. I love Ray Stevens. Growing up, Ray Stevens and Adam Sandler were like my two musical comedy influences. I listen to Ray Stevens all the time. That's really cool. And you're going to sing your song? So at the talent competition, they actually asked me to co-host it too. And like kind of intro.
Starting point is 01:22:45 You didn't get a hosting job? Everyone you had to co-host? I got mad about that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Who are you co-hosting with? Her name's Missy. So she's one of the ones that is helping it on. So we're kind of going to bounce off each other.
Starting point is 01:22:56 Are you going to be there tomorrow night? No, only Thursday. I'm not going to be there tomorrow. Got it. What's on Thursday? No. You can't go. No.
Starting point is 01:23:04 I can go. I'm a customer. No. You just want to go and harass her. I just want to see how she does. I don't. Why do you care? You don't care.
Starting point is 01:23:13 Abby, I want to give you critique. I can give you feedback. She doesn't want your feedback. She doesn't need your feedback. I literally don't want to do for Valentine's Day. We're just going to go to dinner. Yeah. And then because it's like a work night and but then Friday night we'll go to a fancier dinner.
Starting point is 01:23:29 So I've never had a good Valentine's day. You're getting a double. So is this your boyfriend now? Do you say that? Yeah. Yes. That's cool I'm very excited
Starting point is 01:23:37 So did he plan both? Yeah, he did And do you guys still really like Hanging out with each other? Yes How often do you talk? All the time Oh, she's in there
Starting point is 01:23:46 texting him in the mornings That's awesome He's like telling on her No, that's awesome You don't ever believe it She's smiling all the time Okay, that's awesome Do you see each other every day?
Starting point is 01:23:59 Not every day No No, but I just love Hanging out with him Like I don't want to leave Can you don't Hang out to where... I don't want you to go.
Starting point is 01:24:07 Like, you don't really have to talk. You can just hang. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yes. Like, I actually love just sitting there and, like, watching movies now. Like, I never... That's why I don't really watch movies by myself
Starting point is 01:24:18 because I just get kind of bored. But now it's just fun to be in somebody's company, you know? I don't know. Yeah. Do you go to his house or him to yours more? I would say it's even. Why did you grunt? She's an adult.
Starting point is 01:24:30 No, no, I'm just saying how, like, she's been seeing this dude for, like, a week. That's not true? It's not been a week. She kept it from the show. show for a while because she didn't want to deal with this. And then she opened it up to us. So what's the timeline? How long?
Starting point is 01:24:41 Well, it was after the end of October. It was when we first met. This is a long time. It's five months almost. Wow. November, December, January, 5th. Yeah, almost March. Yeah. Five months. Almost March. We're only halfway through February. So we're just going to add 15 days to make it sound longer.
Starting point is 01:24:59 Well, lunchbox, you did just say a week. And that's way off. Abby, we're happy for you. Congratulations for Ray's Cabaret. Thanks. And what's your commercial say about tomorrow night at Valentine's Day? So he's doing like a
Starting point is 01:25:12 Valentine's, like a dinner theater show basically. Oh, you got tickets you want to book a reservation saying sell those. Yeah. Yeah, so go to cabaret.com.
Starting point is 01:25:21 Congratulations. That's really great. Thank you. All right there. Abby making big deal. Our executive producer, Scoba, Steve is in studio right now. It's time for
Starting point is 01:25:32 Scuba. Steve suggests. So you think you're getting scammed now? I think I am. I think because... Check on there. Check, check, check, one, two. Go ahead. I've faded for a second there.
Starting point is 01:25:45 I work with Amy. We all know she gets scammed a lot. So I'm wondering if being in the vicinity of her with our technology devices, am I being picked up like geotargeted for scams? Oh, so like they know there's like a prize. So they also go close. Like let's hit someone else within the area. Interesting.
Starting point is 01:26:00 So what's the scam? So it may not be a scam, though. And I'm hoping it isn't because I was out yesterday. and I was walking and I got this text and I was like, this is interesting. It says, bad boys four and stranger things are still casting. So I want you to attend a virtual open casting call for talent tomorrow. And they gave me some times. Is tomorrow tomorrow or tomorrow today?
Starting point is 01:26:18 Tomorrow is now today. What time? Today. So I selected one Eastern as my time. So noon here. Let's go. And then within like a half of a minute, I get an email. The Saudi Prince wants to use your account to store.
Starting point is 01:26:30 But it's from the same person. And like, here's the Zoom link and gave me all these instructions of what to do and what time to connect and all the kind of stuff. And I'm like, but now I'm also nervous because we get emails all the time from our work or other places that are links and there could be a scam or take our information. Are you in a database as far as people looking for extras or for auditions? So I am because when I used to live in L.A., I used to do a lot of extra work and like small rules here and there.
Starting point is 01:26:54 So I'm wondering if maybe they just kind of push me onto this because Nashville is a growing city for entertainment as well. This is legit. Is there a phone number you can call? There's a phone number or just a Zoom link for today. What about the number that text you? It's an 844 number, which is a toll-free. So that's why I thought it was a scam.
Starting point is 01:27:10 Well, you got to get on at noon and try to get rolling strangers things. Yeah. Yeah, I want to do it, but I'm also nervous to click the link because if I click the link and then all things take all my information. That's true. That's true. That's true. That's true.
Starting point is 01:27:19 What if it's Zomo? Oh, yeah, yeah. Can he do it from like another computer, like some, like lunchbox's computer? That'd be a good one to do it from me. Or Amy's computer because it's already subject to scams. That's true. Yeah, and to be clear, I think a lot of, scams come my way, but I don't fall
Starting point is 01:27:36 for them all. Oh, not all. Not all. I don't. Yeah, not all of all. I'm not trying to pick on you, but it was just kind of like a way for me to get in this. No, I think it's fine. I think it's... Where did they say they're shooting the movie? Oh, look at him. He wants him. All the details will be revealed in today's call. So I'm not sure where it's shot. It could be Atlanta, because stranger things is a show. It's a show. That would
Starting point is 01:27:54 probably be Atlanta. Bad Boys 4 are probably Miami, I would imagine. That's a movie. Bad boys, yeah. With Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Are you jelly? I'm Googling it. Hey, you should give him the link, but you get 20% if he makes any money. That's what he does with everybody else. No, I'm okay.
Starting point is 01:28:10 I don't need his help at all. Wait, so you're ready for the audition? Like, what are you going to do? Yeah, I'm just going to... What if they're like, okay, let's see who's really ready. Let's go over to Mr. Steve. Is it Scuba Steve? Scuba Steve, give us a 30-second monologue really highlighting your chops in acting.
Starting point is 01:28:26 I don't have that available and ready right now. Oh, off. No, no, no. What are you doing? No, no. This we're like, oh, after work today, I'm studying for a good 30 minutes of what I want to do and what I need to do. I feel like this is...
Starting point is 01:28:36 But if someone asked you right now, they'd say the elevator pitch, you should have it right now. I know. This is why I want to work it out with you because you're well more experienced with auditions and stuff. So thank you for that tip. I will take that and use that.
Starting point is 01:28:46 No, no, no. I saw this as like an introduction. The way they made it seem is like you and 10 other people, we just want to talk to you and see how you are. And some castings I've seen, that's all it is. They just speak to you and see how you are.
Starting point is 01:28:55 That's great. But you want to be overly prepared in case they throw a wrinkle at you for any reason whatsoever. Well, that's good to know now. I would also learn it in Spanish. Okay. Right.
Starting point is 01:29:02 That's good. And Mandarin. Okay. All right. I can do that. I'll try. Need more time, though. And then black and white where you can change your camera, then you do it like the 50s, like Eddie likes.
Starting point is 01:29:11 Oh, I love that. Yeah, it says Bad Boys 4 is looking for to cast additional talent now. There you go. That was in June of 2023. Oh. Movies out this summer. Oh, so it's already done filming. Oh.
Starting point is 01:29:24 Wait. So wait, Bad Boys 4? Bad Boys 4. You're saying, Mike's saying, who knows a lot about movies, that it's probably going to be a theater soon. They've already recorded it. Well, maybe there's a lost scene that they have to redo real quick. What? Re-shoots? Re-shoots, okay. Part of a reshoot.
Starting point is 01:29:37 And what about Stranger Things, though, the new season? What is that coming out? They're what? Okay, so we could have one legit prospect. Are you going to do this at noon today? Noon today, 100%. Scuba, you got to be ready with a monologue. Like some scene of a movie that you love. Like mine, I would go straight to Forrest Gump. Like, boom.
Starting point is 01:29:53 Snap a finger. But I think people would be like, Forrest Gump, that's the easiest impression to do. That's lame. Okay, give me another one. And is it? Are you quoting one thing or it's a whole monologue. Bops of chocolate. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You do that. That'd be it.
Starting point is 01:30:04 But I want to find something that caters to the bad boy movie franchise. So something a little more of like, okay. So you say, what you're going to do? I can give you my script from Holiday Harmony. Mike Lowry. Actually, I'll take that. It's an official script to work on.
Starting point is 01:30:17 You don't want to do what the movie they're doing because you don't know what role they have. Mike Lowry. You just want to show your, like your versatility. Mike Lowry. What are you saying? It's a bad boys. It's bad boys.
Starting point is 01:30:29 It's bad boys. Bad Boys. Oh, I never seen bad boys. He practices saying his name because he's acting like him. So he's like, I'm like, Lowry. Maybe do the scene from, what's that? You want the truth? You get him in the truth.
Starting point is 01:30:43 No, no, no. But you don't do that part. You do the part after. It's like. Oh, what's that part? It's a big long paragraph where he like goes and talks about the world. You do. I can't quit you.
Starting point is 01:30:56 Enos. Is that broke back? His name's penis? I've seen broke back, but I don't think it's names Enis. I think it's something else. I think you think penis. Wow, wow, wow. I'm interesting.
Starting point is 01:31:08 It's Innes. I don't know how to say. It's weird. It's weird you went to Enis. I'm thinking something else that I can't say. I don't think. Okay. Let us know how it goes.
Starting point is 01:31:19 Oh, well, thank you. I appreciate that advice. I think you should get up, but I think you should have that generally. If your goal, whatever your goal is to be, I don't care if it's be an actor, a singer, a singer, if you want to, if you want to. Have a little something in case you run into somebody who can give you an opportunity. Because the worst thing you can do is they go, hey, are you good at this? Or if you don't have, let's say you're a coder. If you don't have something, you can immediately send over to them.
Starting point is 01:31:42 Because the greatest opportunity is in the 15 seconds you're offered it. Because it doesn't come back around often. So just be ready. Be prepared. Okay, thank you. That's really good advice. I appreciate that. You got this.
Starting point is 01:31:55 You know why they're coming out of your name. You got an enous. What? is they heard about his pilot like his script that he's been writing they're like oh they're gonna get him on the call can we see your script do it think of your own yeah yeah yeah exactly
Starting point is 01:32:07 one of those. Do the scuba one-man show yeah okay all right do some of those lines okay I'll do those lines yeah have you written anything yet there's no lines written it's just all concepts and ideas and stories and his head on my notes on my phone yeah okay thank you scuba good luck yeah we can maybe get us an Oscar on this show
Starting point is 01:32:21 you don't say let's go it's time for scuba Steve Suggest! We're going to check in with you tomorrow, too. See if you got the roll. Yeah, let's do it. I'm done. See if you got the roll.
Starting point is 01:32:35 We have to review the movie Roman Holiday from the Bobby Bone Cinema Club. Yes! So we all submit a movie. We put it in a hat, we draw it, then we have to watch it. We do it once a month now. So we had to watch Roman Holiday,
Starting point is 01:32:48 which was from 1953. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This was Eddie's movie. Audrey Hepburn. Black and white. Which, by the way, the other movie that Eddie has had us watch is rope. That was Alfred Hitchcock
Starting point is 01:32:57 Mild color 1948 I think maybe Yeah So his thing is he loves these old movies I couldn't believe The old movie was that long It was over two hours long Oh but it's worth it
Starting point is 01:33:06 So I obviously watched it I think Audrey Hepburn By the way is awesome Yeah She was only 24 I know I saw that And that was before she was even
Starting point is 01:33:16 Like super famous Right That was that so Did you hear Did you watch the intro Did you watch on Turner Classic movies? No I watched it on
Starting point is 01:33:25 I got on Amazon and rented it. How do you know all that stuff? You researched on? Yeah, I research everything. I tried to research everything I'll watch. I love that. Amazon will have like fun facts though that they put off to the side and there was a part where she needed a cry. What, you're watching Poppa video version? Because I had to go to Wikipedia to find this.
Starting point is 01:33:43 Okay, so there's a part where she had a cry but I guess she couldn't produce the tears or whatever and the director or whomever was so annoyed by how many cuts they were doing that he like yelled and was so angry that it made her cry. And that's the tears they use for that scene. They show fun facts during the movie. That's really cool.
Starting point is 01:33:59 It's off to the side. Yeah. Yeah. Like you can roll it like I had on my computer and you put the cursor over to the side and yeah, it'll tell you things. I love that. Trivia. You click on the option and please make this less boring. No.
Starting point is 01:34:10 You didn't need that. It was a black and white. Yeah. It was black and white movie. Boring? If they had made this movie an hour and 10 minutes, it would have been good. It was way too long. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:19 The guy is pretty good looking dude. Gregory Peck. Gregory Peck. So here's what happens. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, don't spoil it. It's 1953, dude. Okay, I guess you can spoil it. I believe this is out of the spoiling realm.
Starting point is 01:34:32 So, Audrey Hepburn, and only knew her as being old, but she was really pretty, huh? Yeah. It's weird to see old people young. Like, when you see Willie Nelson as a young guy, you're like, that's bizarre. But she is a princess, and she's touring, she's in Rome, and... She's over it. Yeah, she's like, I don't like it. Doctor comes in because she has a little freak out, gives her a sedative.
Starting point is 01:34:53 But then she sneaks out to go party with people. Yeah. Then it looks like he's drunk on the out on the sidewalk. And so Gregory Peck, who is like a reporter, sees her. An American reporter. And it's like, hey, you drunk? She's like, no. It's like, get in the car, take her.
Starting point is 01:35:09 And the cab driver's like, I'm not taking her. What do you think I am? And then he takes her back to his place, but doesn't do anything to her. He doesn't know yet that she's the princess because she's like, take me to the Coliseum. He's like, okay, you don't live there. Yeah. And so then they lie to each other about who. they are. She's like, ah, my name's
Starting point is 01:35:25 whatever. And he's like, man, I self-fertilizer. He calls his buddy and his buddy's got a camera and a lighter. I know. He's taking pictures of her, like trying to get a sneaky story. So, that's what the whole thing is. I'll tell the ending in a second. Amy, review it. I mean,
Starting point is 01:35:42 I enjoyed it. I agree. It's a little long, but when you have it on your computer and you can walk around your house and do things while you're watching it, not bad. I give it three and a half out of five princesses. Wow, man, that's low. Or sedatives.
Starting point is 01:35:55 Lunchbox, do you watch it? Look, I got to the part where she's drugged and the guy's taking her back to her hotel and I said, hey, I'm not for that. I can't stand for this. Uh-oh. And so I said, nope. This could be a punishment because you didn't finish the movie. No, no, no, you guys didn't watch showgirls because you guys inappropriate. And so I was like, nope.
Starting point is 01:36:12 That's different. That rating was NC17. I stand up for what's right in society. And so, yeah. But he did what's right. He took her back. Well, I didn't know that. I took care of her, actually.
Starting point is 01:36:21 Scoob, I'll let you be the judge on punishment or not since he didn't. watch it, but we don't have to judge right now. Okay. Mike, it's one of the questions. Were you watching your own family or are you just by yourself? Oh, my kids were running around? I was like, oh. Yeah, and then I would say I would turn it off too if I was from my kids. He's just saying that because he wants to get out of it. I'm just playing into it. I know, I know. We should look back
Starting point is 01:36:37 at a punishment possibly. How do they kiss? We can't just check out of the movies. I mean, but I guess if it goes against your, what you believe in it? Everybody can say that. Did you? I'm just saying you can question my belief. None of us are for a man taking a sedated woman. Exactly. Well, you guys didn't stand up for what was right.
Starting point is 01:36:55 What are you talking? Raymundo. Two out of five. We're going down this path where Eddie does these black and white movies. The plot was so simple. It was so simple. There's nothing added to it. Okay, she's a princess and he has to take articles and prove it.
Starting point is 01:37:12 Eddie, how is that a good plot? It was amazing. Aren't you supposed to pick something we all enjoy? Two out of five. It's not worth two hours of your time. I give it two out of five tiaries. Two out of five? And that's high because I really didn't expect.
Starting point is 01:37:23 to give it to. Did you watch it alone or with your wife? I watched it alone. Oh, do you should watch it with your wife? No, I love the ending though. I love movies that in like that. Not super fulfilling. Yeah. Because that's how life is. Because at the end, they didn't get together. I thought she was going to come out. You know, she walks out and they're doing the report, whatever, and then he's in the room. He looks in the room. All right, bye. And they walk out. But he walks slowly because, like, she's going to come back out. But they just have their moment. Like they're going to leave. They're not going to be together again. But they'll always have
Starting point is 01:37:50 Rome. Yeah. Exactly. They're Always have Rome. And Ray, that's what it's all about right there. You may call it simple, but I think you're simple. I think it's little complex. Oh, you're simple, said Toby. You're simple, right? Morgan.
Starting point is 01:38:03 Yeah, I feel like the only good thing about this movie was Audrey Hepburn. Like, I watched it all, and I hated that it was in black and white and in a square the whole time. I did not enjoy the fact that it was an old movie. But, like, Audrey Heapburn was fun to watch. That was the cool part about it. So two and a half out of five haircuts. Let's go to movie Mike real quick. for our final review. Mike, the movie's called Roman Holiday
Starting point is 01:38:25 from 1953. We had to watch it. Go ahead. Like you were saying, the pacing of the movie was so slow. All that stuff you described took an hour. It could have been so much shorter. I gave it two out of five park bench naps. We hired his neighbor to like stand outside with the gun. Yeah, yeah, yeah. His landlord. Yeah, whatever. Yeah. The guy crossed from him. What about scuba? Scuba loves these old movies.
Starting point is 01:38:44 I got a feeling scuba didn't watch it and that's why he was saying lunchbox should be scared. No, I watched it. I gave me a three out of five just because I'm a fascinating with him. You did watch it? Yeah, it was great. Okay, let's ask you a couple questions about it. Please don't. I have a feeling you didn't watch it. You didn't watch it either.
Starting point is 01:38:57 See, I knew when he teamed up with lunchbox. I don't have time to watch a two-hour movie and I have to buy it. Here we go. I have three kids and a wife and a job. I just don't have time. Give us something a little bit more enticing for us to want to watch in our era. So now you don't have time? Yeah, dude, come on.
Starting point is 01:39:10 Really? I'm not going to argue with this about time and having a family. Yeah, because I have four kids and no time and I still watched it. Again, this is the fifth time I've watched it. I watched it at 11 p.m. You sent everyone in email at 1030. Hey, is anyone up to watch it? Hell no. No, how crazy was that?
Starting point is 01:39:23 It was on TV. Oh, it was? Yeah. At 11 p.m. on Friday night. I didn't know that. Well, it looks like we have a double punishment. No, I do. Moral issues, man.
Starting point is 01:39:34 Scuba and lunchbox. Moral issues, dude, for sure. I had kids around. All right, Eddie, thank you. Hey, you're welcome, guys. I hate that y'all didn't like it. No, we weren't going to like it anyway. It was black and white and too long.
Starting point is 01:39:43 That's not bad. Black and white and too long. Got some cinema classic, though, dude. Yeah. I got another one cute up for you guys, though. Don't worry. This story comes to us from France. A 47-year-old man has spent the last eight years trying to get in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Starting point is 01:40:03 He got 700,000 matchsticks. Oh, I saw this. Built a 23-foot-tall Eiffel Tower statue. That's crazy, awesome, yeah. Eight years. He got the guy from Guinness, Mr. Guinness to come and look at it. Not his name, but okay, yeah. And they're like, dude, you altered these matchsticks.
Starting point is 01:40:22 They're not even like, they don't look like matchsticks. We can't certify you as a world record holder. So he's no record. The matchsticks weren't commercially available, any than like little trims. He altered them so they would fit into his thing. And I don't think he did that thinking he was cheating, right? Do you? Because they're going to come and look at it.
Starting point is 01:40:42 I think he just thought you could use matchsticks and build it. Regardless, it's awesome looking. It is tall. It's 23 feet tall, but he spent eight years. Eight years. I mean, A. A? Does he have friends?
Starting point is 01:40:55 Okay. B. What does he do? I mean, this is all he does. Like, how does he have room for a 23-foot statue? He could have a big barn or warehouse. Who knows? It's awesome looking, but that stinks.
Starting point is 01:41:07 But also, he could probably sell it for a pretty good amount of money. Oh, yeah. Somebody can display that somewhere. That stinks. I guess you got another rules, though, before you invest eight years and breaking a record. That's a bonehead bar. Okay. I'm lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:41:17 That's your bonehead story of the day. Miami Vice Morgan is basically what she looks like over there in her little sunglasses. But she's not wearing on because she wants to look cool. She has, it's called like inverted vertigate. What is it? Positional vertigo. Where she just gets dizzy and like starts spinning. But Amy said that you talking about that actually helps somebody that she knew.
Starting point is 01:41:37 Yeah, so my friend sent me a text and she's been feeling horrible for the last four or five days. And she didn't know what was wrong with her. And so after hearing what Morgan was going through, she's made an approach. And she's like 99% sure that this is going to help solve her problem. Like she had gone to the chiropractor. She thought maybe she needed an adjustment. She'd been doing all these things. It's not like she was ignoring it.
Starting point is 01:41:59 But now she knows the right type of appointment to make. Did you vomit ever? No, surprisingly not. But it's not like some people can get really bad where you have to vomit right away. But mine's more just like I feel so off balance. So not nauseous. Yeah, it's more lightheaded and more really dizzy. Because I get motion sick all the time
Starting point is 01:42:21 So it's not that kind of feeling It's if I'm on a ride Like a tilt a whirl or whatever I don't so much get motion sick on every one of those But I do I'm like oh Like you spin around over and over and over again You get on those a lot? Yeah I will sometimes
Starting point is 01:42:36 I love a roller coaster But it's a fine line between vomit And wow that was fun But I do love a roller coaster We went to Silver Dollar City a few months ago Oh that's right got in, didn't get sick at all riding like the hardcore rides, walked through the house with the mirrors,
Starting point is 01:42:55 I thought I was going to vomit for an hour. Yeah. Just weird things. But yeah, I don't have that. But when do you get to not wear the glasses? Hopefully, I have another appointment with Holly, who's the specialist I've been working through. But I will say when she puts the goggles on me
Starting point is 01:43:09 and makes me do the maneuvers, I do, they have to put like ice packs on me because I get really clammy and I look like I'm about to vomit. Really? I remember once the cops came and put the drug, drunk goggles on me because I'd never been drunk before to show me what it was like to be drunk and try to pass the sobriety test.
Starting point is 01:43:23 I wonder if that's what that feels like. It's pretty similar because it basically takes away your vision though. Like it's all dark. It's all black. And they're like these VR goggles and they're videotaping your eyes so they can watch what's happening while they do the maneuvers on you. That's cool. Dang. That's like the Apple.
Starting point is 01:43:38 High tech. Apple vision goggles. Yeah. And you're like my eyes like twitching all over the place. She's like, oh, that's so pretty. I'm like, that looks weird. Are you getting better? I am. I can actually function now and move my head, which is progress in the last week.
Starting point is 01:43:51 Can you smell stuff? No. We're still there. COVID still got that knocked out. When do we lose the glasses? Hopefully at the end of this week, hopefully. If you guys said that to me, I'd be very hurt. I'm not going to say that to her, okay? I just hope you get better, Morgan, but you look. I like the glasses.
Starting point is 01:44:06 I think the glasses are awesome. Eddie wore glasses for a week when he had a stye on his eye. We didn't go, you're going to lose the glasses? No, we all wore glasses to make you feel better. I was just wondering a timeline of when she's going to be wearing the Hollywood glasses. All right, we're done. Thank you guys. We'll see you tomorrow. Goodbye, everybody. This is the Bobby Bones show. Bobby Bones.
