Hi, everyone. I'm Cheryl Stray, author of Wild and Tiny Beautiful Things. I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast called Mind Over Mountain.
Starting point is 00:00:48 In each episode, I interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes that informed and inspired their extraordinary feats. So we, too, can better understand how to do. to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges. Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is Julian Edelman, host of Games with Names. On our latest episode, we got comedian Blake Anderson from Workaholics and The Hilarious This Is Important Podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Let's go! We did beat them in improv. You had an improv against the team? Yes, we would pull up their schools would be there with signs for us. It's competition. What you would win is a... bottle of gold slover. James Fester threw it out of a van
Starting point is 00:01:33 because he didn't want us drinking it. For more games with names, visit the Iheart Radio app or wherever you get your podcast. Come on, Bobby. Transmitting. Hey, welcome to Tuesday's show. Morning studio.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Let's go around the room. He's going skydiving for the first time ever this week. It's tomorrow. That's crazy. Luckily, the Army Golden Knights will teach him proper technique. Yeah. Here he is, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Guys, I've been really into documentaries lately, and the last one that I saw was so good. Arnold. It's about Arnold Schwarzenegger? Yeah. I saw it on Netflix pop up. Yeah. It's actually really good. What do we not know about him?
Starting point is 00:02:17 A lot. I mean, I didn't realize, you know, because they break it up in three parts. The bodybuilder, the actor, and the politician. So, I mean, for someone to come from Austria and look at America somewhere I want to be there someday and dominate it in, like, bodybuilding, acting and politics, pretty amazing. Governor of California. That's crazy. That's wild. And so how he goes from bodybuilder to actor, you think
Starting point is 00:02:40 it's like, oh, of course. I mean, he was a bodybuilder, but nobody wanted him because he was too jacked. Don't spoil it, though. You're making me want to watch it. Dude, it's so good. And his attitude on life is pretty amazing. He even goes into his divorce. Oh, boy. That's pretty crazy. Is it pretty raw? Like, does it cease? Yeah, I mean, he goes for it.
Starting point is 00:02:56 He goes for it. That's what I like. Arnold on Netflix. Watch it. I like it when people go raw. And I watched Dan and Shea talk about how they almost broke up. What? They put out a... Yeah, they put out a video.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Listen, they almost broke up? Very close to them, knew it was going on while it was happening. Very close to Dan. Wow. And so they talk about it though. And Kailon's like, did you watch this from Dan? And Shake is they're driving like their old Bronco or whatever this? It's like four minutes long.
Starting point is 00:03:23 And I was like, no. And they're going through all of that. Wow. And so I messaged him. I was like, dang, that's good. That's raw stuff that people didn't know. Yeah, they almost broke up. When?
Starting point is 00:03:33 How long? ago. Like we're talking... Year and a half. Whoa, that recent? Yeah. Wow. They went to therapy because they hated each other. They went to couples therapy?
Starting point is 00:03:43 That's interesting. Hold on. They were making bazillions. This is what that's crazy to me is these bands that they work so hard. And then they finally make it and then they break up. They didn't finally make it. They did it forever at a high level. And they'd have enough money to not have to work anymore ever again.
Starting point is 00:03:59 And Dan was like, I just want to go and produce. And Shay was... They just weren't getting a lot. long, but now they're like best, best buddies again. They just had to kind of reset. Their lives completely changed. Chayed kids. They both got married and it's a really
Starting point is 00:04:13 good video. I really need to know. I'm going to have to watch this and figure out why they almost broke up. I mean, that is, that's dirt. It's not dirt. They're the ones who reveals it. It's like LMFO. Like they finally making it, you know what I mean? Party Rock. They're nothing like LMFAO. And then
Starting point is 00:04:29 they just broke up. Party rock? No, they have more than one. one and a half. I work out. That's a good one. Dan and Cher also a judge, a chair judge on the voice. Like, they sit in the same chair?
Starting point is 00:04:42 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I remember that. They're the first duo. I don't remember that. Shea sits in Dan's laugh. That's hilarious. But no, they said first double chair. They're going to be that. Isn't that awesome? That's cool. That's really cool. Arnold. Arnold, Netflix. So good.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Not to, I won't use this as mine, but I watched the WAM documentary on Netflix. I started it. It's great. Band Wham? Band Wham. I didn't know much about Wham. I just knew George Michael and the other guy wore in it. They were like best friends from high school.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Yeah, from 12 years old. They broke up? Well, Dan. But the guy that was the one that was in Wham that's not that famous now was always the leader of it. But he was also like cool with George Michael doing his thing. It's great. It's good. It's really good too.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Yeah, yeah, Wham. Is that a series or is that like one documentary? One episode, hour 20 minutes or so. All right, let's go over. Moving on. He freaked out talking to Phil Kogan from The Amazing Race. And if he made it on the show, I'll be honest. He might finish in first place.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Here he is. Lunchbox. If you ever need free shoes, guys, you need new shoes. You are getting holes in them. And I'm not talking about my, you know, take-back scam. I'm doing this again. No, no, no. Just head to the beach, guys.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Free shoes everywhere. Oh, yeah, they leave them there. I mean, people get, like, you walk from the parking lot or wherever, and you cross the little wooden bridges. I don't know what you call them walkways. And once they hit the sand, they just, take their shoes off and leave them there all day. And then when they're walking back to their car, they put their shoes back on.
Starting point is 00:06:08 And I'm like, I mean, you just walk by. Do you want those shoes? Why not? They're nice shoes. Look at that. They're all different types, sizes. Did you take that picture? I took that picture.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Why? Well, because I was like, maybe. You want proof? They're not yours and they may come back and go, oh, I forgot my shoes. Let's go back. No, no, no. They leave them there on purpose because they don't want to fling sand everywhere when they're walking to their spot on the beach.
Starting point is 00:06:28 They just leave them there all day long. But they might come back and get them later. No, they will. when they're going back to their car, that's not your shoes. If you need shoes and you want a free pair if you want a scam, just head to the beach. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:06:41 She says she's ready to give dating apps a try or maybe The Bachelor or Farmer wants a wife. All right, here it is Amy. I don't know about that. Lunchbox, I can introduce you to the Contest Queen. I mentioned her, I don't know, a month or so ago. Do you remember Contest Queen? I don't know who that is.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Oh, well, I was telling you about Contest Queen and I got an email from her. Someone reached out, tell him about her again. She was probably doing a crossword or something. Yeah, I don't know what she does. Well, she teaches people how to win contests. She has a book out that's called How to Win, Cash, Cars, Trips, and More.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Wow. I just feel like this has lunchbox written all over it. And she reached out, she said that her sweeping buddy, Lori sent her notes, said, hey, they're talking about you on the Bobby Bone Show. And by sweeping buddy, I think she means sweepstakes. Oh, that meant like broom. Yeah, me too. I don't need to talk to the broom sweeper.
Starting point is 00:07:33 I got some stuff that she could do. Yeah. So why don't we do this? I think you should talk to her. Heck yeah, I want to learn how to win a contest. I think we should record the entire conversation between lunchbox and this lady and then put it up as a podcast on this. And they take a clip-up and put it on the show here, but like we should put the whole conversation out between you guys. You know, I really need to start doing that.
Starting point is 00:07:53 I should enter more contests. I don't even know how to do that. Funny you say that. She has another book that she wrote called You Can't Win if You Don't Enter. That's right. That's a great point. Does she have a book called Breathe Oxygen and Live? Drink water or die?
Starting point is 00:08:06 Yeah. Does she have a book called Cargos distances? I don't know. I mean, I just, yeah, I get it. Got it, got it. Yeah, she said she'd love to chat about all the things, mindset, marketing, and how to win. Let's set it up one-on-one, though. I don't want to be a part of this.
Starting point is 00:08:19 I don't need to market it. I just want to win. She said mindset marketing. I don't need to market the contest. Just show me how to win it. Whatever. You and her? On?
Starting point is 00:08:27 Let's go. On. Good. Okay, right, go. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas, he went to New Hampshire firsthand, and he was shocked to find it actually has land. Bobby Bone. Thank you. Big news.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Don't know much about cars. Don't know much about old cars. I got a Bronco, 74 Bronco. The axle is busted. That's not good news. How did it bust? It was a little something called sarcasm. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:08:51 That's a big deal. I got to, oil was dripping in the garage. I don't know. Oil was dripping in the garage. I got to replace front and back axles. Oh, my goodness. Is that the thing that runs from tire to tire on them? I'm be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:09:07 I don't know. I would assume, though. All I know is that they said that it's crap. Both of them, everything's old, though, right? We had it rebuilt, but that was not one of the things we rebuilt. And they're like, it's leaking oil because your axle's messed. We've got to replace front and back. Oh, my good.
Starting point is 00:09:22 How long does that take? I don't know. Man. They could say we're replacing your axle, and I would just be like, what, under the hood? And if they said yes, I'll be like, okay, I don't know anything about it. That's not good, man. Question.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Yeah. Is it worth all these issues? Like, your car's awesome. The old Bronco, it's legit. Like, it's old and it's cool. Either we have to sell it or fix it. We just not going to sit. We spent too much money on that thing.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Yeah, but you can't sell with a broken axle. You're going to lose money. Right. Unless we, anybody have me duct tape? Yeah, I got duct tape. It's like Stanley. You're not going to get rid of him. I mean, you've got to sell them.
Starting point is 00:09:57 You thought about it, right? You got to sell them or kill him? No, so yeah, with the Broncos gone and its axles are broken, so that stinks. That's what's up. Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:10:17 A few months ago, I met a guy in a dating app. Two dates. But I didn't think there was a lot of chemistry, so I decided against a third date. We parted away as friends. Then a couple days ago, I came home from work to find a box on my front porch with flowers on top of the box. Inside was a folded up piece of paper with a note that he signed with a heart. I never told him where I live. Now I'm freaking out.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Should I call the cops? Is there anything that can even be done about this? Signed. Don't want to move Melanie. That's weird. You can't call the cops. You got a gift dropped off. you can note this
Starting point is 00:10:58 if things get weirder to go look at the things that have happened and have escalated that is creepy though but how would you know where you live stalking well no ed yes that's I'm trying to give her no no no no you went the wrong way
Starting point is 00:11:14 I was trying to figure out ways that he maybe had found figured found seen the neighborhood but yeah I just can't think of a reason other than following Mm-hmm. Okay, yeah, but make sure, maybe Google yourself and see what you're able to find. I hear you, even then though that's creepy.
Starting point is 00:11:31 If he's Googling to find out where she lives. Oh, I agree. Yeah. But, I mean, I just want to know, yeah, how he figured out. They didn't follow her. It's, it's, it's, if I had to rank them. Yeah, I would agree. It is.
Starting point is 00:11:43 If we're, one of them's lazier. If we're ranking stalker tendencies. Right. Yeah. There's a box. What was in the box, though? Oh. What's in the box?
Starting point is 00:11:53 What's in the box? I was scared to open it. It just says, I came up for it to find a box on my front point with flowers on it and a note. She doesn't say what was in the box. Like how good it was the gift? That matters. It's an awesome gift. Because then y'all talk about this sometimes of like if you're attracted to the person, then this is less crazy.
Starting point is 00:12:11 You're like, wow, he found out where I lived. But she's not. She called out the third. So it's psychotic and stuartic. That's just how it works. Morgan, what would you do if a guy you went out with a couple times found out where you lived and put a box with flowers on it? I mean, it'd definitely be creepy. If he didn't find that information out for me and he went online to find it, I don't think I'd go out with him again.
Starting point is 00:12:31 I'd probably block him and put in security measures. I don't think you call the cops, Melanie. Yet. But you make a note on what day it happened, what exactly happened? Because if things start to get creepier, you can then go, these few things have happened. What can we do about it? You can file a restraining order. But from this, no.
Starting point is 00:12:50 I'm sorry that happened to you. Also, I would just think back. Did you ever tell him where you live? just in passing. That's very specific. Just in passing. Oh, 2-25. No, but maybe not on that dress.
Starting point is 00:13:01 I live over on Main Street. There you go. What part of town do you live? I live over here right next to the... Because he knows what car you drive. Yeah. Like, he could have been driving... He may just been in the neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Okay. Possibly. I mean, that's true. He might be the mailman. That's a good point. Yeah, that's... It's weird. It's creepy.
Starting point is 00:13:20 I'm not saying it's... Somebody's going to murder you yet. Just keep. Keep an eye open. I'm sorry that happened to you. Document. Make sure at night you close your blinds, lock your doors.
Starting point is 00:13:30 I'm scared. He's watching. Yeah, me too. Now I'm scared to get kind of my house. All right, that's the mailback. Close it up. We got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mailback.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Yeah. Big day tomorrow, Eddie and Abby are jumping out of an airplane. They've never done it before. Sounds like a great idea until it's right there. Until you walk to the edge of that plane. It was like great idea until you get real close to it. It's like, I always wanted to do it. Then it's like, okay, time to do it.
Starting point is 00:13:57 It's like, oh, oh, so tomorrow. That's exactly how I feel. Yeah. How do you feel? I mean, like you said, I've always wanted to do this, but I don't know, dude. Like, we're jumping out of a plane. And I feel like, I mean, stuff goes wrong all the time. But don't think about that.
Starting point is 00:14:14 No, no, what do you mean? Abby's freaking out. Abby, you don't have to say that. You have to feel about it. I'm getting nervous. I was watching videos all last night, and I don't know if that was a good idea. Are you watching Parachutes gone wrong? Are we watching?
Starting point is 00:14:24 No, no, I would not do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. So what's great is you're jumping with the best. Yeah, yeah, that makes me feel better. Yeah. Sergeant First Class, Blake Gaynor and Lieutenant Colonel Andy Moffitt are on with us. And so let me start with Sergeant Gaynor. Good morning. How are you?
Starting point is 00:14:44 Good morning. I'm great. How are you? Hey, real good. So these two are jumping out. Is one of them going to be attached to you? What are they doing here when they're jumping? We travel in a team of nine people. and out of that team of nine people, three will be serving as instructors tomorrow. Dang. We will be videographers and three will be on the ground supporting. What would you rather do?
Starting point is 00:15:02 I like doing the tandem. Dang. Do you ever get scared doing that anymore? Or is it just like another day? It's like me walking into the studio because I talk to millions people a day, but I do it every day, so I'm not really that nervous about it anymore. Is that the same thing with you jumping out of a plane? You said that you get a little bit nervous still? Nah, not really.
Starting point is 00:15:19 I just said that to make you feel comfortable in case you did. So I get a little bit scared every jump, you know. I think fear is what brings people to it because it's an exciting experience. Like everyone intuitively knows that you're supposed to be afraid of it. And that's what makes it fun after you do your first skydive. But the fear is also what keeps you safe. So, yeah, I get a little bit afraid every jump. So did you start skydiving because you were an adrenaline junkie?
Starting point is 00:15:48 Or did you join the Army and then go, oh, I think I would be good at jumping out of planes. So I got into skydiving. I was in the Army, on the station in Louisiana. There wasn't like a whole lot to do outside of my base, but there was a place to go skydiving nearby.
Starting point is 00:16:03 And essentially, me and a bunch of friends were feeling brave and I'll do it if you do it. I kind of got into it from peer pressure. I was always deathly afraid of heights. But when I did my first jump, it just, it was amazing, you know? Like, there's an interview out there that will Smith does where he kind of articulates
Starting point is 00:16:23 what it's like to do your first skydive and I think he really nails describing it you think it's going to be this like adrenaline junkie thing but it's kind of like floating it's a very freeing experience yeah what I didn't like and I did it and I hated it but when I did it like when you pull the cord
Starting point is 00:16:39 and it goes up it's just like it's very snug on your jug you know what I mean it's like and it grabs you that tandem harness is basically like made it's like one size fits most That's too big You can
Starting point is 00:16:54 You can basically build harnesses To be like a custom more comfortable fit But that tandem harness is designed primarily for safety We try to make it as comfortable as possible Yeah, safety first though Classic Meep Classic Me gets a harness ain't big enough You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:17:08 No, that's just classic me You have to deal with that all the time at that So everybody listening right now tomorrow Eddie and Abby are going to jump With the U.S. Army and the Army Golden Knights They're going to go up in a plane They're going to jump out One question here before I go to Lieutenant Colonel Moffitt,
Starting point is 00:17:21 but Sergeant Gaynor, you ever had an almost bad experience jumping out of a point? Why are you asking that question? Close your ears. So I think a better way to put it is like I have had to use my emergency procedures before. So the day one of learning how to skydive before you're even allowed to go jump, not so much with the tandem. The tandem is just put a harness on, make sure you know the body position because you have an instructor who's well versed in the emergency procedures
Starting point is 00:17:48 but yes I have had to use my emergency procedures before because I had like a malfunctioning main parachute What? What do you mean? How does it malfunctioning? Like how does it not come out the way it's supposed to come out? So like one of the instances it just came out like with a whole bunch of spins in it. Yeah, yeah can we pack it to where it doesn't do that? Yeah. It came out with a bunch of glitter. It was somebody did it as a he picked the wrong one. It was like the party popper.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Oh no. Who packs these? Do you all repack them yourselves? I heard somebody from Russia packs them. Oh, really? That's not good. No. No, no. Okay, okay, okay. Lieutenant Colonel, Andy Moffa. Hey, welcome to the show. Lieutenant Colonel. How are you? Thanks a lot. Appreciate y'all having it. Doing great. Thanks a lot. How are y'all doing this morning?
Starting point is 00:18:32 We're doing real good. You know, just the Army in general. And, you know, the Golden Knights are, you know, just a selection of people who are doing this specifically. But, you know, when it comes to the Army, there's so many opportunities, right, that people could do a lot. lot of things once they get in the service and they get out, right? Yeah, that's right. Yeah, so the Army's got about, you know, one of several Department of Defense services, we've got over 200 jobs to choose from. One of the unique things about the Army that is not true of all the services is you can actually choose your job, whereas in other services, that's not always the case. You kind of get put where they need you the most. So while that does come into play, there's so many different vocational things you can choose from.
Starting point is 00:19:16 A great resource I would recommend if people is the Army Career Navigator app. It's got a picture of like an Uncle Sam picture you can download, and then you can just drop in the keyword, whatever you want. I have mechanical skills. I want to do something cyber, medical, airborne, and it'll just bring up all the jobs for you to choose from. So that's a great resource we didn't have when I was coming in that I would recommend to anybody that's thinking about joining the Army.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Do you jump out of planes, Colonel Moffat? Absolutely. That's one of my favorite things about it. And I came in in 97 on a guaranteed airborne contract. That's one of the kind of like Blake, that was one of the things that I was looking for, was just a little more adventure in my life and still enjoy it to this day. Have you ever jumped? And Sergeant Ganger, somebody's like a big wimp and you didn't expect it.
Starting point is 00:20:06 It's like, yeah, I'm about to do this. And all of a sudden you get up there and they're like, Oh, my God, Pete, that Pete. people get scared you know but that's normal like they're about to jump out of an airplane so i've never i haven't had anybody back out on me before but i've had people that needed a few words of encouragement yeah these two might any your final question of thoughts abby i'm going to give you a question too before we go i got a question uh how many times have you jumped though like more than a hundred Why'd you stutter?
Starting point is 00:20:37 I have 4,972. Okay, okay, okay, that makes me feel a little better. Now, am I going to pull the string? No. Okay. Can I pull the string? It would just take quite a bit of extra training that I don't know we're going to have time for. That's a good point.
Starting point is 00:20:55 Go for it. Can you fly the plane? Just ask for everything. You cannot fly the plane. Yeah, okay. They don't even let me fly the plane. Abby, one final question? Anything? How many backup parachutes are there?
Starting point is 00:21:07 There's one backup parachute. There's a few safety devices on the equipment, and this will all get covered in the training tomorrow morning, but just briefly, there's the main parachute, and then there's the reserve parachute, which is maintained by an FAA certified parachute technician. It's repacked every 180 days, whether it's used or not. The process of packing is, like, a tedious three-hour process.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Is it made in China? Actually, made in the USA. Okay. No Russia, no China, we're good to go. Let's go. I don't know why that 180 mark. You know, it's like, okay. Well, 181, Amy, it gets real dicey.
Starting point is 00:21:42 Any chance of us land in an enemy territory? Great question. China, Russia. No. We'll be landing at Attington Field in Elizabeth Town, Kentucky. Are there land mines where you land? No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:54 All right. I feel pretty good, then. I feel good. Has anybody ever passed out on you? No, but I have had people get a little bit of motion. sickness, but never have anybody pass out. Be prepared. Good.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Okay, here's the thing. Let me say this. The Army can give you education, tools, and resources to help you be all you can be. The U.S. Army has many different careers, just like Colonel Moffitt was talking about here. Go to goarmy.com for more information. And tomorrow, Abby and Eddie jump out of an airplane. And what I've been, they're telling me right now. And one of you will live to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:22:25 What? Who said that in your ear? Who knows? Maybe your voice is in my head. Oh, my God. Thank you guys. All joking aside. Go to at U.S. Army,
Starting point is 00:22:36 at Army Golden Knights. These are the best of the best, the safest of the safe. America's most select. You guys get to jump with them. You're very, very lucky. So thank you guys. I appreciate what you do,
Starting point is 00:22:46 just generally speaking. And also thank you for going up with these two and letting them jump out of the plane. Absolutely. Thank you for having us on today. All right. See you. All right.
Starting point is 00:22:55 Bye-bye. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. This carpenter named Dakota Mon was hired to work on a 150-year-old house in Illinois, and he was in the living room working on a wall, pulling some things off, and he noticed writing that said, 92975, with arrows pointing down to a small hole. So he reached in the hole and pulled out a bottle with a note in it.
Starting point is 00:23:23 And this kid at the time in 1975, Stephanie, she wrote, Whoever finds this. Today is September 29th, 1975. You know, she listed out Gerald Ford is president. My neighbor is Miss Lay, who's pregnant. Like she went through all the facts. My mom is a nurse. And he posted it on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:23:42 It went viral. And Stephanie was found living in New York, 61 years old, married, five kids of her own. She said she had even forgotten that she did it, but it's so cool to have it back. And this going viral has prompted people to create their own little notes and time capsules in their house. So there's something fun to do with your kids, too. Makes me sad. Why? Time marches on, age, man.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Well, yeah, there's that. I mean, Eddie, what was it like back in 75? Yeah, I mean, I wasn't born in 75. Well, the Flintstone's accurate. Stop, I'm not that old. Did you guys ever bury a time capsule? No, don't switch it up on us. That's a good try.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Elementary school we did? We never buried a time capsule. We threw millie vanilly CDs in there. But who's going to, when are they going to... They probably already did. They tell us. I don't know. I have no patience.
Starting point is 00:24:30 The next day I'd be in that thing. Yeah, we did an archaeological dig in high school, like where one class would bury something and then the next class would do it. So I put my teeth in there. So someone dug up my teeth. Your teeth. Wait, what?
Starting point is 00:24:41 Your baby teeth? No, no. I had to have braces. No, no. So I had to have four teeth pulled and to fit all my teeth. Why did you put your teeth in there? Because if you're going to do an archaeological date. I didn't know.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Did anybody know that? What do you mean? Did you clap? Did they say somebody must donate a body part for this dish? No, but I thought, oh, make it realistic. I feel like what if they didn't find those, and later those are found and they think it's like leftovers from a body. Or they're like, wow, look at this caveman. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:10 This is Neanderthal. This is a hairy news. I mean, I thought it was cool to put my teeth in there to make it realistic. That is cool. Yeah, that is. So someone had to pull them up. They're holding my teeth in their hands. But they knew it wasn't old.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Right. So then it's just weird. Right. Like if it's really old, you're like. But they don't know who seat they are. But you're like, somebody in Ms. Johnson's class, this is their teeth right now. You're walking around looking for the gummy. The part of the gum in my mom.
Starting point is 00:25:36 No, that's, it's good. It's good. It's just weird. I once cut off frog toes and put them in an envelope during a dissection class. Frog's already dead. Thank goodness. We cut off frog toes, all the toes from the frogs, me and like four of my friends, and put them in an envelope and mailed them. To one of the teachers.
Starting point is 00:25:56 What? Like a teacher you all hated? No, we liked her, actually. That was funny. That's weird. We never heard the payoff, though. Don't know if she ever got it. Now, when I think about it, we don't know if she ever got the frog toes.
Starting point is 00:26:07 All right, great story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'll say it. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions,

Starting point is 00:28:37 And then actually now I'm going to stay. We talk tanking. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's, like, definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes, too. They pulled me to their side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man, you can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever.
Starting point is 00:28:59 And of course, family stories. They'll be like, Mommy, why did you miss that? Mommy, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized game with Stulian Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I need the court music, Ray. Thank you. Here we go. Welcome to Bobby Bone Show Court.
Starting point is 00:29:24 My gavel is entered the room. I got something to say. All in session rise or something. Can we stand up? Robe. I don't know. I just said some words. We can talk about something because it's, does lunchbox deserve to be on the wheel of punishment?
Starting point is 00:29:39 Because this is an actual thing where on this show, if it has said, hey, you must do this by this time. And if you don't do it by this time, then there is a punishment. Now, he's missed two deadlines on his report on the JFK assassination and conspiracy. He asked for extension. Why are you looking so confused? Oh. Yeah, I asked for an extension. So I didn't miss a deadline.
Starting point is 00:30:02 It was extended. And then no one came to me. I forgot about it. Lunchbox was given the task on June 19th to write a report on the JFK assassination conspiracy theory. It was due on June 23rd, to which he then asked for an extension. We gave him another week as determined by that segment we said one extra week. He missed that too. He was supposed to come in and his deal was he was going to wear a wig and amp it all up.
Starting point is 00:30:29 I don't know what the wig meant. Just commit to character, I guess. Not only did not turn it in, he didn't even ask for an additional extension and that is probably will of punishment. I vote guilty. Well, so there's going to be a jury of your peers lunchbox. The jury of your peers will be Scuba Steve, who is a pretty fair person. Mike D, also very fair. And then also the fairest of them all, have you.
Starting point is 00:30:55 That is not necessarily fair. So, is there anything you like to say before we let the jury decide if you're guilty and if you should be on the wheel of punishment? No, because there was no option for a wheel of punishment if I didn't get it done by a dead. deadline if you... But you didn't do it twice. No, no, the first time I asked for an extension. And then we said yes, you got your extension. Right. And then I don't know, we got busy with work.
Starting point is 00:31:16 No, no, no, no, no, no, no. That is work. No, no, no, that is work. Yes. Because whenever we have something due... Okay, Mike has been removed for... And so us scuba and Abby is now the only juror. Sweet.
Starting point is 00:31:26 Okay. Because usually Mike will email saying, hey, reminder, this is due on this day. And I never got a reminder. No one came to me and said, hey, do you have your report? Does any... And so I guess... You asked for the extensions. You're going crazy in there.
Starting point is 00:31:39 What do you want to say? Oh, I just know that he fought for the extension, which I respect. You've busy. You got things going on, whatever. But then I think he was like, you know how you're in high school and someone tells you to do something? And if you just don't do it, you hope it goes away. I think he was hoping if you would forget about it. It would not happen.
Starting point is 00:31:53 And he should pay the money. Oh, he did actually email. I'm looking at a report from Mike D an email. Lunchbox report on JFK assassination, have it ready by at least Thursday. That was last Thursday. And he just ignored it. And guess what? And did you guys come to me?
Starting point is 00:32:09 Did you come to me with the segment? I had it down and he said you didn't have it done. He never asked me. Okay, has it done right now? Yeah, let's go. You have it. Yeah. Where is it?
Starting point is 00:32:17 All right. Oh, I didn't bring the week today. Oh, you have the wig today. You got to be ready, dude. I mean, yeah, let's hear this. I can't have the wig every day, man. I tell me, I'll tell you what we'll do here then. We can do it in the next segment then if you're going to be ready for.
Starting point is 00:32:27 He's ready. But if we, but here's the deal we're going to make. If we deem, if the court deems that you're just making it up on the spot, you do the will of punishment for sure. No. What do you mean? Yeah. Nope. Nope. Then agree to those terms.
Starting point is 00:32:40 So you don't have it done. But you said you're prepared. But you said you have it. So is that something you want to do? No. Okay. Here's what's going to be on the will of punishment. No, no.
Starting point is 00:32:47 But there is no wheel of punishment. It is because you have to be punished. No. This is harder on us than it is. 100% no. Number one, the shame game. If it lands on the shame game, he has to stay on the street corner with a sign that says I cheated. This is my punishment.
Starting point is 00:32:58 Love it. Number two. Breakroom fridge smoothie. We get a blender. I won't do that. We fill it with stuff from the break room fridge. You have to drink it as a smoothie. There's been stuff in there for so long.
Starting point is 00:33:08 Number three, professional cuddler. We bring in a professional cuddler for a session on the air and they cuddle with him on the floor here in the studio. Number four, forced charity. Lunchbox has to go to a restaurant and tip from his own money, a person, $100. That's his worst nightmare. Or there's one that says smaller wheel. And if it lands on the smaller wheel, we go to the smaller wheel.
Starting point is 00:33:27 And on the smaller will, there is winning $200 cash. That's a plus, dude. Or gorilla tape on the chest or kicking the nads. But those are the other two on the smaller wheel. So. I don't understand. No, no, no. There is no. You had two instances to have it done.
Starting point is 00:33:46 You didn't have it done. Okay. We can't set the precedent of people not getting their work done. We have people miss deadlines all the time and there's no wheel of punishment. I'm going to go to Mike and Scoo with Steve on. this one? Do we have people miss deadlines all the time? All the time is a sweeping statement that is not true. Like, there's
Starting point is 00:34:03 things we have in the sheet that we're going to get to at some point. There's one of them for me, it's been there for like almost a week. I'm ready for it every single day and I have it ready and I have a sheet right here. That's good. That's a terrible excuse. Oh, okay, but have you done it yet? Mike, what do you want to say? I haven't done it. I haven't ready to go right here. If we're going to do it right now is it's the one about blocking people on social media? I've had a sheet here for a week and a half. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:34:21 all the time does not happen. Yeah. That's weird because Eddie was supposed to go barking public. Did he get a wheel of punishment? No. I did. I got punished. I don't remember when I punished was. You did get punished. You had to bark in public. And you got punished. But there was no punishment. There was a punishment. What was your punishment? I don't remember. Exactly. Because there was none. It's so traumatized. I don't remember. Exactly. So, this is what the court is going to do. Today is July 11th.
Starting point is 00:34:44 It's got to be done tomorrow. If it's not done tomorrow, will a punishment with a smaller wheel and then an even smaller wheel from the smaller wheel. Where are you getting these tiny wheels? No idea. We don't even have them, but we will make them. So tomorrow will be the final date and this will also go into his permanent record. I don't know what that means either, but he goes
Starting point is 00:35:06 to his permanent record. We'll never forget it. And you know what? It'll never be forgotten. And if he tries to get to college, they're going to see it. Wow, it's going to haunt you for the rest of your life. Dude, you got to take care of this. Yep. So, you don't want that. If it's not done tomorrow... See, you guys give me so many... It'll be the will of punishment, three wills deep.
Starting point is 00:35:24 And the third will on the third tiniest will, death is one of those. Oh my God. We just kill him right here. I just, I need clarification because he just mumbled. You guys give me so many deadlines. I'm just curious. What's another deadline? Do this. Do this. Yeah, let's go work.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Goodness. Watch this movie. It's so hard. We watched your movie. We're doing your movie tomorrow. We had to watch your movie. We had to watch the stuff. Great.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Okay, that's it. We will have it tomorrow. Everybody good? Yeah. And if it doesn't, if he doesn't do it, we go three wheels deep. And on the third wheel is death. Dude, you're so busy. I am. to do it? But do you think you have to cut your nap back by at least an hour to do this?
Starting point is 00:36:00 Probably. I mean, I don't even know how to research this. I just read a story, I guess. That's it, buddy. Thank you. Everybody good? This court is going to be adjourned and in recess until tomorrow. There we go. Thank you very much. I'm going to list three things I watched and give you reviews. Number one, reality on HBO. It's a movie. It's hour and 20 minutes. minutes. She was working for like the NSA and she took some documents, snuck them out. That, her name is Sidney Sweeney.
Starting point is 00:36:39 Awesome in this movie. Oh, the actress's name is Sidney. Yeah, she was in White Lotus. She was in the show The Lunchbox Life. Euphoria. Yeah. Yeah. Man, I'm telling you, she's awesome.
Starting point is 00:36:51 It's a true story. And the Rotten Tomatoes, one is a 90s. which is high and the other one is not as high. It's weird and it's all the, they do it completely based off the audio from when they arrested her and interviewed her. And so they're even acting out exact audio of them. Wow, that's cool. So I'll read you the little deal here.
Starting point is 00:37:15 So reality from HBO, it says on a Saturday afternoon in June 2017, reality winner, that is her name. A 25 year old in cutoff jeans is confronted her Georgia home by the FBI. A cryptic conversation begins, and reality's life quickly begins to unravel. I need to watch this. One hour, 23 minutes, it's a little weird as how it's shot, but you finally grab. Sidney Swain is awesome as an actor. I've never seen her in anything. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:41 A plus, true story. I'm going to give it four and a half American flags. Oh. Not for everybody. Just because it's shot. weird. Some people can be like, I don't even, I'm weirded out by the board. I love, I thought it was really good. So that's the first one, reality on Max. Number two, I watched Muscles and Mayhem, all five episodes of the American Gladiators docu series on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:38:10 Is that good? Four and a half guns that shoot tennis balls. Yeah. They get hit with us? They get nitro and all them on there? Yes. And they're old now. Nitro. And they're talking about, Nitro is on there.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Zapp is on there. Other names that go boom pal are on there. Yeah. Did they have any of the chicks? Yes. All right. Zapp was a chick. Really?
Starting point is 00:38:33 Lace. Oh, lace. And it's, I give it four and a half. I mean, especially if you watched American Gladiators are all back in the day to see how that show came about. It's basically like, you ever do Phil Day back in like fifth grade? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Yeah. It basically started as a cheat version of that and people were getting just so hurt. And did you watch this scuba? I have no family at home. That's all I've been watching. It is the cool. All five episodes? Oh, I've watched four.
Starting point is 00:38:58 So I'm missing the last one. But it's so cool. See how it came together, how rinky dinky, what is, all the sex, the drugs, all the cool. It's all that. It's so awesome. Gemini, Laser, Diamond, Storm, Ice, Nitro. Yeah. And Malibu, why do they call unofficial when all the official people are there?
Starting point is 00:39:16 I don't get that. Well, because the American Gladiators, like the brand did not give itself. Oh, I see. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, but it was cool. It's the unofficial documentary. I'm giving that four and a half.
Starting point is 00:39:25 So I got reality four and a half. I got American gliderers, four and a half. Where do I find that one? Netflix. You got Max with reality. You got Netflix American Gladiators. And then finally, we finished silo all the way through. Even the episodes after I thought was the finale.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Where do you watch that again? You watched that on Apple Plus. Okay. And it's about a, I'll just read you the description because I don't want to spoil anything as I tell you what it's about. So if you go over and you were to read this, this is what it would say. Silo, which by the. way has a ton of super famous people in it too. In a ruined and toxic future,
Starting point is 00:40:00 a community exists in a giant underground silo that plunges hundreds of stories deep. Their people live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. It's got Rashida Jones, Common, Tim Robbins. I give it four out of five silos. And it's on half a place. All three high.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Yeah, I liked all of them. Very strong. Yeah, I liked all them a lot. Now, that being said, I'm setting that up because on the other side, I had to watch something that was terrible. We're going to talk about tomorrow? I know what you're talking about. I give it no yo plays, the stuff. Why you got to ruin the right now?
Starting point is 00:40:39 I'll give a little more than no yo plays, but I watch this stuff, and we're going to talk about it tomorrow. But you already, man. I was being a little hyperbolic with the no yo plays. But it's about a yogurt that kills people. It's called the stuff. And Lunchbox told us for years about it, how scary it was. Dude, we're not... Has everybody watched it yet?
Starting point is 00:40:58 Is anybody not watched it? Halfway done. Okay. You don't have to. You don't have to. You don't have to say anything else about it. But I don't even want to say anything else about it. Except we'll talk about it tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:41:08 I'm surprised they would spend money on something that dumb. Like somebody... You just said, you're not going to say anything out. I said too much. Ray, did you watch it? Yep. Did you like it? It was an hour and 45 minutes not well spent.
Starting point is 00:41:23 I just am going to need to... remember to cancel my free trial. But you don't. I paid for the rent. I didn't even do it. It wouldn't let me. On Amazon? Yes, on Amazon Prime, it said rent and had a line through it. It was free on Tooby. I rented it for 299.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Well, on Amazon Prime, they were like, sign up for Shutter. The only place you can get all the horror films you want. All the what films? Horror. Oh, I didn't hear the or part. Like scary. Yeah, I just heard about the or. So Shutter, so now I've signed up for Shutter to get the stuff.
Starting point is 00:41:54 stuff and I'm on a seven-day free trial and if I don't cancel it, they're going to start charging me $5.99 a month. Did I sign up for Shudder and not know it? No, you can grant it. Okay, I thought so too. Well, tomorrow we'll review the stuff. And by review, I mean, I don't want to say anything because you guys are still watching it. Talk about it.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Yeah, we've heard about this thing forever. Yeah, but the BBCC is back tomorrow. What? I'm going on Cinema Club. Oh, yeah, yeah, we're going out. A voicemail from Daniel in North Carolina. I got a morning corny. What do you call two birds that stick together?
Starting point is 00:42:32 Velcroes. He had his own audience there. And like they had never heard that joke before. Right, come on. They were laughing hard at that. Here's Amy's pile of stories. There's a woman that says she makes $2 million a month letting people watch her sleep.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Two million a month. If that's an only fan thing, I just think they inflate those. numbers and I'm sure she makes good money because there are a lot of creepos but two million a month well so she's an influencer on Twitch and that's where people are watching her and she did a whole interview and she said yeah people pay me money I'm might even a year because that's like 170,000 bucks a month or so but a month that's right 24 million dollars to watch her sleep so does she have a lot of subscribers or are they like little subscribers paying a lot of money to watch
Starting point is 00:43:25 her sleep. Yeah. Good question. I don't know. I'm watching her sleep right now. Oh, wow. Hold on a second. Is it worth it? Wow. Yeah, but also, it is like a Twitch, but then you can do OnlyFans too, but she's sleeping in like full pajamas. So it's not even like weirdos watching her sleep naked. I don't know, keep going. I didn't mean to cut you off here, but that's wild.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Well, she also, I guess, has an add-on where there's these guys while they're asleep, they want her to wake them up with like, left. out noises somehow and she gets paid for that too. That's funny. I don't think it's going to be funny Eddie. No, it's not. I think it's guys, that's their thing. Yeah. Yeah. How's that a thing?
Starting point is 00:44:09 Exactly. How are most things things? I think the same thing. But lunchbox went to sleep once as a bit on the show. We took him to the mattress place and he went to sleep. It left like 45 minutes. It was hilarious. And he got paid nothing. Yeah, you guys said, oh, can you go in there and sleep? And I went there and slept. It's so funny.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Love me alone. Yeah. Okay. What else? You're not necessarily old. if you do this, but a lot of younger people will think you're old. If you use your pointer finger to scroll on your phone. What do you mean? Or if you use your finger, all of your fingers to do like a typewriter on your phone. Like the home keys? Yes.
Starting point is 00:44:42 What do you do? You don't use your index finger? To scroll? Yeah. No thumb. Oh, what? No. That's inefficient.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Wow. That's inefficient. No, thumb. I mean, I did it just to pick it up and do it without thinking about it. It's thumb. Oh, okay. I use my thumb too. Oh, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:44:57 No. Well, guys, I use my fingers. Oh, I guess I don't care if that labels me old. It's so much easier. Yeah, I don't do it like that. And that's like she's doing it. Like she's unleashing a scroll. Okay, what else?
Starting point is 00:45:11 Lainey Wilson is so in love with her bell bottoms. I mean, she has been since she was eight years old. It's her thing. And she says she's going to be wearing them until she's 90. And so it got me curious, like, if there's anything you're not going to let go of. Cut-up shirts. Forever. I have one.
Starting point is 00:45:27 Arkansas Razorback shirt that says hogs in the front. I've had since my sophomore year of college. That's awesome. And it's got holes. Now it's, the whole chest is basically a hole because that's where the lettering was from the, in the back. There's a hole in it.
Starting point is 00:45:40 And I know that if I had it said to my wife, do not throw the shirt away. It had been gone five years ago. I mean, it's a, it's the most beautiful disaster that I own. I love cut out shirts. And not because I'm trying to show off my arms,
Starting point is 00:45:51 I just like to be comfortable. And I just, like I like to feel like I don't have a shirt on, but still covering up myself. Yeah. You know, I don't want to see me that shirt on. But we can see. Yeah, yeah, but you can see parts of it.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Okay, yeah, yeah, that's it. I made me. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Back at the end of June, Nick Miller of Ohio got down on one knee and said, Lauren, I want to look at your eyes,
Starting point is 00:46:23 and I want you to be my prize for the rest of my life. They get engaged. Did you make that out? Yeah, yeah. Eyes prize. Eyes prize. You know what I mean? I want you to be by my side.
Starting point is 00:46:32 Whatever. So they get engaged. Dr. 6. And the next day he's at the gas station. He's like, oh, man, I got a 30 bucks in my pocket. Let me buy this lottery ticket. Bys it.
Starting point is 00:46:43 And he wins $390,000. Nice. $390,000. So not only can he pay off that engagement ring. Boom. So they can buy a house and they're going to make their dreams come true. How do you feel about that? Pretty awful.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Why? I could tell you you're struggling with it. He was trying to keep the real sentiment to tell me something good, but he was really battling it internally. Because it's not him winning? What is it? Yeah. Yeah, man, it's like, how does this happen to people?
Starting point is 00:47:09 Like, why does it never happen to me? I think sometimes to... Like this dude... Abby will torture lunchbox and give him a story about somebody winning the lottery. For sure. And then he's like, oh. Yeah, and I don't even want to read it.
Starting point is 00:47:19 And I'm like, ah, but I can't pass. Right. You can't pass because it's a second. Yeah, because you've already done the tease. It's like, oh, man, if I just start doing a different story, but I was going to be like, wait a minute, That's true. That's true. So yeah, Nick Miller and Lauren Timmerman, they're going to get married and they're going to be rich.
Starting point is 00:47:34 Yeah, good for them. That's awesome. Oh, that's a good wedding present. Yeah. If you hear this story and you're going to their wedding, you got to think, now, they can afford all the gifts. No, they don't need gifts. You're saying that here? They don't really need gifts.
Starting point is 00:47:44 This is his way to get back at them right now. Lunchbox is his way to, like, serve punishment to them. All right, thank you. Great story. That is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. All right, here's a voicemail we got last night. Hey, Bobby Ball.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Going to my girlfriend's hometown this weekend. Gonna ask your parents to talk I can marry their daughter. You know. I'm wondering if you have any advice on what I should do. How this works. I've never done it before. Don't know what to say. I'm lost.
Starting point is 00:48:13 Help. Easily one of the most awkward things that you can do and that I've ever done. The other thing is if you have like an injury in your butt, that's awkward too. Going to the doctor. Because I've had that too. Because you're just vulnerable. You have to bend over. This and that are my top two.
Starting point is 00:48:29 And you can love her parent. And still, it's a weird thing to ask. Can I have your daughter? Yeah, yeah, that's strange. This is what I would say. I would just get right to the point. You're going to him and hawn, it's going to feel weird. He's going to know what you're going to ask anyway, probably.
Starting point is 00:48:43 And just say, hey, I want to marry your daughter. She's awesome. You cool with that. In your own way, but get to it. Didn't Ray to his future father-in-law say, yo, pimp. No. You didn't? No, when I texted him sometimes, I would say,
Starting point is 00:48:59 yo pimp. When I asked him for his daughter's hand in marriage, I did not say yo pim. You didn't. I don't know. I promise. I had to call Caitlin's dad because they live in Oklahoma and I had a whole plan for it. And I called and it was in the middle of workday because you have to be away. I had to be away from her. I didn't want there to be at risk for hearing it because she was surprised. And I'm a mad if you're going to the hometown, I imagine she's going with you. It's hard to peel off. Oh, man. Especially if she doesn't know it's coming.
Starting point is 00:49:30 That's why you got to get to the point. Like find, if you can get a minute when it's just to you guys, it's even easier if it's quick. Like if you have a few minutes, like, hey, look, I don't have a lot of time because I want to do this quite. Like, I really want to marry her. Are you cool with that? We can talk about all this later. But yeah, boom, boom. Go!
Starting point is 00:49:46 Get out of the way. Yeah, in and out. And then you can have a longer conversation, but that's even better if you have to do it quick. But I would say get to the point. Because I remember him answering the phone and I was like, oh, God. Hello? Can you hear me? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:58 And we're going through bad cell too. Shoot. Yeah. So I would just say get to the point as fast as you can. The dad probably already knows it's coming. And unless you guys have a terrible relationship, he's going to say yes. And he also doesn't want to have to have that conversation. The dad doesn't, it's awkward for him.
Starting point is 00:50:13 Yeah. So everybody, it's awkward for everybody. But good luck. It's awesome. Congratulations. I hope it goes really well. Let us know how it goes. Okay, now time for Amy and the morning corny.
Starting point is 00:50:24 The morning corny. Why did the computer show up late to work? Why did the computer show up late to work? It had a hard drive. It had a hard drive. Got it. That was the morning corny. A hard drive.
Starting point is 00:50:39 Got it. Yeah, yeah. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions,

We talk trade requests.
Starting point is 00:52:00 What's the vibe of that when it's like your star player is like, well, I want to leave. And then actually now I'm going to stick. We talk tanking. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's like definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man. You can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories.
Starting point is 00:52:28 And I'll be like, mommy, why did you miss that? Mommy, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized game with Stuy and Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. American soccer is about to explode. The World Cup is coming. Ramers sending on to Ernie Stewart for Chip. I'm Tab Ramos.
Starting point is 00:53:00 I'm Tom Boe. On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, you'll get the real storylines. I'm not worried about Policicic, I'm not worried about Balagan, I'm not worried about McKinney. My only concern is what happens in the back. The biggest decisions. If you're going to look at stats and numbers, he has no shot at making this World Cup team. And the truth about the U.S. national team. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfinals or potentially a great run into the semifinals.
Starting point is 00:53:30 The World Cup is almost here. Experience it all with us. Listen, Inside American Soccer with Tom Bogart and Tab Ramos on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcast. Every summer lunchbox takes his family down to Florida. They hit the beach, and he steps away for a moment to do something cringy. Or he calls it charity work. It's not charity.
Starting point is 00:53:56 It is charity. It's volunteer basis. What do you call your organization? The SPF, the Sunburn Protection Foundation. But the foundation, it raises money. No, I thought a foundation was like someone that volunteer, like as an organization that does well for the public. I guess we would take donations.
Starting point is 00:54:16 No, no, no. Great. So you walk around and you're a creeped people, basically. Basically, I just walk up to people sitting on the beach. I am by myself and I have sunscreen in my hand and I see people laying out, reading books, drinking beers, whatever they're doing, I'm going to go up and offer to rub sunscreen all over their bodies.
Starting point is 00:54:33 This is the cringiest bet he does all year. It's like it's fifth year, fifth year running. Listen, I'm entertained. I like the bit. I'm just letting people know. I go, oh, as he's doing it. He writes descriptions
Starting point is 00:54:45 from me here. Two ladies trying to enjoy their books. One looks like Chelsea Handler, the other Miranda Lambert. Oh. An older Miranda. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:55 Okay. Here we go. Excuse me, ladies. You guys are looking, starting to look a little red. Do you need some sunscreen? Oh, good. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:55:02 I'm part of the SBF, the Sunburne Protection Foundation, where I just make sure if everybody, I don't want you to get summer and I offer you my sunscreen for free. I can use yours to rub it on your back, your shoulders, the spots are hard to get. I got professional hands. They're all, and they're on a volunteer basis. No charge, no tips.
Starting point is 00:55:18 We're good. Thank you. You sure. All right. I can use my left hand and you right in and you and do two at one time. We're good. Thank you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:26 So it's a no? All right. So Vincent. A couple things. First of all, like eight times. They're like no. We're good. Not even really that night.
Starting point is 00:55:36 They're just like, they don't need to be nice. It's like, no, no, no, go away. And then two, were you covered a hurricane? Hey, dude, at the beach, you can't control the wind. I know. It's a windy place. Sounds like it's about to blow, you're about to blow away there. It's a windy place.
Starting point is 00:55:47 There's no, there's no way to block the wind, you know. And that's what I worry about. Like, I'm like, is it even, are you going to be able to understand these people? Because the wind is so wild. I understood them. They were like, nope, nope, nope, nope. Yeah, they said no. They weren't even like, no, thank you.
Starting point is 00:56:00 They were just immediately letting you know. you're creepy and you should go away. We have our own. Bye. Is that a no? Well, I just wanted to give him another chance to reconsider. Here's a mom and dad a son and his girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:56:12 Oh. Yeah, and I would say son and girlfriend are in their 20s. That's how I figured they were son and daughter. Maybe it's son or daughter of the people. I don't know which one's which. And the dad looks like. What is that? Sam Elliott.
Starting point is 00:56:26 He had that handlebar mustache, the upside down one. You know, white. He looked just like him. Okay. How are you guys doing? You good on sunscreen? We are. Okay, because I'm part of the SBF, the Sunburn Protection Foundation. I'm volunteer. I walk down the beach and I rubbed sunscreen on people that need it.
Starting point is 00:56:42 So I saw you four sitting here and I was like, man, they're starting to look a little red. But these are professional hands. Like, I mean, if you want to give a test for them, look how soft these hands are though. Look, they're professional. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a good sunscreen arm. You know what I'm saying? No.
Starting point is 00:57:05 I can't believe somebody like you touch them. touch them. So what do you do an arm? You did an arm there? No, no. I asked to do the arm and she said no. And I said, here, just touch my hand. They're really soft.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Like, they're professional hands. And she touched my hand. She still said no, though. Oh, God. She kind of rejected me still. I got lost in that. Well, you're in a hurricane too, so. Sure, sure, sure.
Starting point is 00:57:24 All right, here's lunchbox with two ladies under an umbrella. And he wants me to know that one of them is extremely red. Well, and here's the thing. It was like a one lady was hogging the umbrella. So one lady was out in the sun. And the one out in the sun. She was roasted. And your foundation really looks out for people who are being roasted.
Starting point is 00:57:41 Yeah. It's good. Good by you. All right, here we go. Man, you are looking for it. As part of the SPF, the Sunburn Protection Foundation, we offer free sunscreen if you need some. I'm a sunset.
Starting point is 00:57:56 Okay, I just didn't know if you need me to rub some on your shoulders, your back. You know what I mean? And these hands are professional, and I will make sure you know not get burned. Last chance. Your back, if you need me to. And your lower back organization. Yes, we're good. All right.
Starting point is 00:58:22 Thank you. Have a great day. the beach. And your butt talks. I mean, not creepy. I need a visual on, is he in a swimsuit? What is he wearing? Yeah, I'm in a swimsuit.
Starting point is 00:58:31 I got flip-flop sandals on whatever, slides, no shirt, and sunglasses. Okay, okay. Inner thigh, not creepy. If you ever have to say not in a creepy way, it's creepy. But I did have two types of sunscreen
Starting point is 00:58:47 if they wanted to choose from either one. What were the two ends? One was just like a copper tone. I think it's what a name. Copper Tone, 50. And the other one was Banana Boat 50. Did anybody just lay rub them down? No, man.
Starting point is 00:59:00 Not one person. Not this year. It was a rough year. Sam Elliott wasn't like, hey, my end just put it there. No. No. Well, better like next year.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Yeah. Hey, man. I figure people need help. I think it's mostly the package that shows up. Like you. What do you mean? Like you? Yeah. I mean, I think if it were somebody that had like, let's say, in a baseball game, you know how they have like candy bars and stuff on a little thing.
Starting point is 00:59:31 I would say if it was someone, if it was like a woman with multiple options. Well, I had multiple options. And she's like, I am bringing sunscreen as part of the SPF, the foundation. Oh, so you like some. You're saying I need a tray next time. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Maybe like a shirt too, like a polo shirt. Or not even that. What if he has like a paint, like a paint, like a. Picasso paint the wood thing while it paints on it with sunblock on it.
Starting point is 00:59:56 And he has different colors. Different kinds of sunblock. Oh, this one's 25. This one's 15. Yeah. A palette. Yeah, pallet. I mean,
Starting point is 01:00:04 Lunchbox claims to be such a magnet to women. Yeah, they all sounded like they hated you. None of the women said, oh, well, this. Those first women, if you just give me a little bit of that? Because he's done for a good reason. It's a charity. Yeah. It's a charity here.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Go ahead. Excuse me, ladies. You guys are looking, starting to look a little red. You need some sunscreen. Oh, good. Thank you. I'm part of the SBF, the Sunburn Protection Foundation, where I just make sure if everybody, I don't want you to get sunburned. I offer you my sunscreen for free.
Starting point is 01:00:29 I can use yours to rub it on your back, your shoulders, the spots are hard to get. I got professional hands. They're on a volunteer base. She keeps trying to jump into to shut them up, and he just talks over her too. Nice job, lunchbox. We know you cared, and that's all that matters. Yeah. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:00:43 I didn't save any lives. It's all about your intention. There he is. Lunchbox, everybody. Thank you. On the phone right now is Carolina Roy. Roy, good morning. Good morning, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:00:54 Hey, so we here, with our own ears, that you call up pretty much every day, and now you try to get Abby to go on dates with you. It's gone from Priscilla Block to Abby. Hold up. Abbey likes to exaggerate. I do not call every day. I only send her message twice. I said, hey, it's me, Carolina, Roy.
Starting point is 01:01:14 And that's it. I left the short and sweet. And if she responded, she responded. If she didn't, she didn't. Did she? Yeah. I mean, I can show you the proof. Kettle Black.
Starting point is 01:01:24 What's he say? Hot kettle. What's he said? First of all, I thought he was doing the old commercial, though. Like pot meat kettle. Hey, Abby, will you mind come to the microphone, please? Uh-oh. Oh, it's a good dog word.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Yeah, yeah. So, Carolina Roy, you did ask Abby on a date, though. True or false? I did not ask him a date. I just sent her a message. I said, hey, would you like to go? I mean, I guess you could say I asked. A date. Would you like to go?
Starting point is 01:01:53 No, man, I didn't ask her anything. I just said, would you like to do something? Wait, no, no, no. Go ahead. Next question. No, not next question. What did you ask her to do? I just asked her, I said, hey, so did you hear what lunchbox said on the show? You want to go on a day sometime? She said, ah. You just told me you didn't ask her on the date. Yeah, that's what he said on the phone, too.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Got it. He said it on the phone to me. Inconsistencies, man. Inconsistencies. And there's nothing wrong. Hey, Carolina Roy, Abby's awesome. And I think you made a good decision in asking her out. But I guess it was just the amount of times that we had heard you had called just to, like, kick up some conversation while Abby's working. Anything you want to say to that? I mean, like I said, I've only called her three times. I mean, she called the two times.
Starting point is 01:02:38 She was like, hey, let me get back to the phone. And then didn't hear nothing. Then the third time, she finally talked and she's like, nah, I'll pass. Abby, anything you like to say? No, I just think it's funny that he's. switched from Priscilla and to me. You know, like, I was just like a afterthought.
Starting point is 01:02:54 No, maybe he didn't know you were available. Yeah. Maybe, because he met Priscilla, he was trying to his Priscilla block move. That's why he called us because she was coming to town. Yes. And it was like, how do I get her to notice me? And we told him and it didn't work. And so now he's using what we've
Starting point is 01:03:11 taught him with you and it's also not working. Right? Pretty much. Yeah. And so you don't want to go with them at all. No chance. I don't think so. I think I'm good. Did you crack a little or were you just being nice? I didn't really know what to say. I was like on the phones.
Starting point is 01:03:28 I'm very distracted. Yeah, it's okay. Do you want to go out with Carolina Roy? That's okay. Now I will pass. Okay. Now, Carolina Roy, when you hear this, are you someone who doesn't give up or are you someone who takes it and goes?
Starting point is 01:03:42 Okay, I'll just move on to the next one. I mean, everybody says I'm pretty persistent. I like it. Persistency is key. What's your next move, do you think? Well, my next move was going to come see if I can come see you all in the studio. Oh, my God. That's a big move.
Starting point is 01:03:57 Hey, that's bold. It's always a fine line between bold and psychotic. It doesn't matter what. If you're going to do a bold move, it could be considered both depending on, you know, I'm not. I'm not against it. I'm not against it either. Yeah, I'm not against it either. I'm not against it either.
Starting point is 01:04:12 I'm not against it either. Let me go to scuba Steve, who's kind of the angel and the devil at the same time on my shoulder. Yeah. Scova Steve executive producer. How would you feel about care? I love awkward. Awkward is my favorite thing in the whole world. So I'm down for it. Let's bring Carolina Roy on.
Starting point is 01:04:26 We'll have security here to make sure he's safe for that worry. But I think what's... Can we handcuff him? That's smart. Have you bring her hand cuff him to something. Yeah, I love you to Tim. We just handcuff him to Tim, I'm a security guy. Carolina Roy, now we're not going to pay for you to come in.
Starting point is 01:04:42 But if you do have a trip to Nashville anytime soon, why don't you let us know? and then maybe we can arrange something. How does that sound? Well, on my job where I work at, I work Sunday to Wednesday, and Wednesday I get off at noon, and that show's only about eight hours away, so I'm off Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays.
Starting point is 01:05:00 But like you would come with some friends, or what? Why would I go with friends if I'm going to try to shoot my shout with Abby? Exactly. He's got dinner with Abby. I thought he was going to say, I don't have friends. You're here for three days. So, okay, this is what I'm going to do. This is great.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Abby, I'm really sorry. And I don't, you do not have to go out with Carolina Roy at all. I just, he's called so many times. I kind of just want to, he's like New Hampshire. I just need to see that he's real. And what if she sees him and falls in love? True. I'm not in any way going to even put it on you to go on a day with Carolina Roy.
Starting point is 01:05:37 So don't worry about that. This is mostly about me getting to see him. And Carolina Roy, will you at least let him shoot a shot one time with you, Abby? What does that mean? He gets to come into the studio and, like, pour his heart out one final time. He can if he wants, but...
Starting point is 01:05:54 I'll listen, but... You heard that. She'll listen, Carolina, Roy, okay? Well, tell her that I'm 6'0. No, she's listening. Hold on, she's listening. You can tell her. Go ahead. Ivy, just so you know I'm 6'5, so you have to look up to me. Oh, my. What? Okay. Did you hear how her voice changed? Her voice changed.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Tell me more. She liked that. No, I didn't know. You're 6-5? I just didn't picture that. I am six foot five yes It's very tall How big old boy are you otherwise
Starting point is 01:06:20 How about you weigh? How about you weigh? Probably about two thin I do a lot of walking Yeah That's not bad He's in good shape Abby Okay I get it
Starting point is 01:06:30 I wish you could hear her That voice change was I mean No I was just shocked I was shocked I didn't think that From his voice He was that tall
Starting point is 01:06:38 Okay Roy I'm not gonna I'm not gonna do the logistics Right here But I'm gonna put you on hold And Abby's not gonna pick up scuba steve is oh and then we'll see if in the next however many weeks days carolina roy you have an invite to come up but only if we have protection sounds good okay buddy you stay on the phone abby you can put him on hold but you do not have to talk to him okay abby you do not have to talk to him okay yep yep i mean maybe abby can give him some hotels that are close to her place so he knows where to stay no nope not happening not happening
Starting point is 01:07:08 big old boy okay good but there's carolina roy we'll hopefully get to meet i i just want to meet him for my own sake, okay? All right. Thank you guys. In one month, one month from today, I'll be doing a show in Wichita, Kansas, my comedically inspirational tour. We put a second show up because the first one sold out. So if you guys want to get tickets to the Friday night show, go to bobbybones.com. There are some tickets now. Wichita one month away. Can't wait to see you guys. Bobby's big. Stories. When it comes to your relationship, 100% honesty is the best policy. And that's easy to say.
Starting point is 01:07:43 That's an easy headline to read. And just in life, hey, always want to be 100% honest. It's hard. Much harder to do. Because sometimes you go, well, if I'm super honest, I may hurt their feelings or I may make them feel a certain way or let's risk reward, let's constant. And then all of a sudden, you're lying all the time. To cover all that.
Starting point is 01:08:03 The next thing you know, he's all lies. There's that towards them, but also it allows for some people to get vulnerable. And maybe they don't want to do that. And that's lying. Like if they're not honest about how they're really feeling. I understand what you're saying. Like if you're not honest about how you're really feeling, like say people comes to you and says, hey.
Starting point is 01:08:19 Oh, that's not a lie. That's just me not wanting to, I don't want to get into it right now. Oh. Like, are you okay? Yeah, I'm fine. And I'm not. But you're lying. But I don't really have, I don't want to get into it right now.
Starting point is 01:08:29 Okay. Yeah. That's just me punting. Okay. I want to call that. Experts say, for example, that fender bender you've been keeping from your spouse could be taking a bigger toll on you than the cost of the repair. Researchers found the people who keep secrets from their partners had lower
Starting point is 01:08:41 relationship satisfaction and higher stress. which could lead to higher rates of unhappiness and divorce. Keeping quiet can add significant internal frustrations and overtime break down your relationship. We're telling the truth. It does, like, hurt right then? But then it's over quicker. That is from Prevention Magazine.
Starting point is 01:08:58 Has your boyfriend fake proposed? There is a new trend that sees men film themselves, getting down on one knee in front of their girlfriends, only to tie their shoelaces. So the first time I had seen this was in the office because Jim Halpert did it to Pam. He was messing with her like, when am I going to propose?
Starting point is 01:09:12 And he got down and tied his shoe. probably where this started. But now people are doing it all the time, and it is not very nice. I don't think it would end well for me had I pulled this little prank. No, you're getting knead in the face. Yeah, I think I'm down.
Starting point is 01:09:22 I'm talking about vulnerable. That's a vulnerable position. Women have put their boyfriends on notice after being caught up in the cruel, fake proposal trend on TikTok. Men following the trend, get down on one knee in front of their partners, fumbling their pockets,
Starting point is 01:09:36 and then go into their shoe and tie in their shoe string and laughing. So dumb. It's from the daily male. Three TSA officers arrested in the Miami International Airport for stealing from travelers. Three TSA officers were arrested.
Starting point is 01:09:50 They were doing their security screenings and they were arrested for stealing from the screenings. Arrest affidavit show, 22-year-old Elizabeth Fuster, 33-year-old Laverius Williams and 20-year-old Josu Gonzalez were all arrested. According to the affidavits,
Starting point is 01:10:04 they were all thefts at Checkpoint E. All in the same spot. My, I guess they're all working together. They're like, all right. Like, how do you even approach another TSA person? Like, how do you know who's shady and who's not? Like, you just look at them. You get a feeling.
Starting point is 01:10:19 Scan them. So, due to security concerns, the detective immediately researched the thefts because people were like, uh, something was stolen here. Somebody else. Something was stolen. All the same spot. All the same spot. All these thefts are coming up from that E-place, basically.
Starting point is 01:10:33 They watched surveillance video provided by the TSA and they saw them, one of them removed 600 bucks from a passenger's wallet while the passenger was being screened. Oh my gosh. The human is turned and distracted, arms up, you know, your back. So you can, it's like pickpocket, basically. That's great. That's the play. It's hard to steal if you're just standing there ready for it to come out.
Starting point is 01:10:54 Yeah. Because you can see everything. However, if they got you like, oh, you're random screening, put your hands up. You have people get through all your stuff. 600 bucks, though. That's gutsy. Additionally, all three were seen on several other incidents conspiring to commit more thefts. That's from Yahoo.
Starting point is 01:11:10 Is there alien tech on Earth? That's the question. A Harvard professor says he may have found parts of an alien technology from a meteor that landed on Earth in 2014. Avi Loeb and his team brought the materials from where the meteor crashed off the coast in New Guinea to Harvard. They analyzed in the labs there. U.S. Space Command confirms was near certainty that it comes from another solar system. What do you say? Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Whatever. You know this is the worst soft launch ever in the history of the world. They're soft-launching aliens to us. it's something here slightly something there a little little there the problem is it's going to happen the president can come on TV tonight
Starting point is 01:11:49 and be like sorry guys we're getting interrupted HGTV and Drew Timmy wait's their name Drew and Luke what are their names Property Brothers
Starting point is 01:11:59 yeah property brothers thank you Scott brothers and we just need to tell you they're aliens and you know what happened half the people would get on
Starting point is 01:12:07 the internet and be like oh they're just lying. They're just trying to throw us off from something else. It would matter who said it. Nobody believes anything anymore because of everybody that's lied for so long, that it doesn't matter what's said if it's aliens, if it's A, B, C, D. There's always half the people that's like,
Starting point is 01:12:22 who's it coming from? This is a conspiracy. This is a lie. They're going to have to show the alien on TV. Even then. It ain't going to matter. You still won't believe it. I mean, to your point about a soft launch, it's kind of working. Oh, for sure. Because I'm not going to be as shocked as I once would have been. Yeah, I don't even interrupt prime time. Right. Yeah, just
Starting point is 01:12:38 just like tweet. Yeah, just like tweet. Yeah, tweet it, post it. 10 o'clock news. Yeah, I don't need you interrupt a game if I'm watching a game anymore for the aliens coming down. We know. Like, there's something happening. We got it. But they said they found several what they call spur rules or metallic marbles that have colors of gold, blue, brown, and some of them resemble a miniature of the earth.
Starting point is 01:12:55 So something that's not a, it's not a, anything that's here. They think that's alien stuff. Alien technology. But alien just means not here. It doesn't actually mean green guys. Oh, it doesn't. It means foreign? Yes.
Starting point is 01:13:07 And that's what we don't use the term illegal alien anymore. that term is not allowed anymore, but that's where that comes from, just foreign, like not from, not local. Okay. That makes sense? Yeah, international. Man's furry green tongue is a mystery to doctors. Uh-oh. Very green, huh?
Starting point is 01:13:25 There's another thing they're just trying to drop on us. Listen, buddy, you don't watch what you've been eating. A man in Ohio is diagnosed recently with a condition that it's a nightmare. It's called hairy tongue syndrome. Full. Carpet of green fibers. Blank at the tongue. They tried to give them antifungal meds.
Starting point is 01:13:45 Yeah. And I'm looking at him. His tongue's green. It's a green fur. It's like carpet on his tongue. It looks like he had a green gumball, but it's furry on his tongue. I bet that breath doesn't smell very good. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Or what if it's minty? This problem, which is uncommon, it dates back to the 1500, seems to appear more in men and associated with either older age, smoking alcohol, use, excessive coffee, or black tea, poor oral hygiene, certain cancers, and the use of certain. medications. Well, this guy here, I've been going hard. You're real hard. It's like the perfect mix of all. It turns green or what? Luckily for this patient, however, his tongue can clear up and...
Starting point is 01:14:22 Oh. Are you looking at it? I just looked at it. No, I'm not looking at that. I saw it at the corner of my eye bones. I'm not looking at it. It's not good. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:14:32 It's not good. Poor guy. I hope he's married. I hope he's able to stay married. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. A medical worker reveals a very surprising reason you should always pee before your car journey.
Starting point is 01:14:43 Here's a clip of Dr. Mr. Romano explaining why it's important. Here you go. Did you know that you should always pee before going on a car trip in order to give yourself the best chance of survival if you get into a car accident? This is because your bladder is like a balloon and when you pee it deflates the balloon.
Starting point is 01:14:58 When you hold it, it inflates it. If you get into a car accident with an inflated bladder, you're more likely to have something called an intraperitoneal abdominal wall rupture. This is devastating and can lead to a quick death. Whereas if you get into a car accident and your bladder is deflated, it's much harder to pop that balloon. But even if it does, you're more likely to get something called an extra paroteneal rupture,
Starting point is 01:15:18 which is much less of a big deal. I've thought about this. But you're betting on wrecking. I don't want to pee too if I need to pee. Yeah. Why would you hold it? If you're going on a road trip, you need to pee anyway because you don't want to make a lot of stops. We need to set up the story differently because I don't want to think about having a,
Starting point is 01:15:33 I don't want to put having a wreck out into the universe. But that's the risk. Yeah, but also I don't think that matters. I just still don't like it So just give me another reason to pee Yeah, infection There you go Yeah, there you go
Starting point is 01:15:46 Kurt Cobain's guitar pick sold for more than $14,000 Assigned an illustrated guitar pick that belonged to the Late Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain sold for almost $15,000 That is crazy They're slowly selling everything in his own
Starting point is 01:16:01 Daily mail, yeah, I think so Yeah, everything must go, clearance Courtney Love clearance Yard sale And finally Justin Bieber bought one of those bored ape NFTs for 1.3 million back in the day, and it's now lost about 1.2 million of its value. That's ridiculous.
Starting point is 01:16:18 Well, it makes you think about lunchbox. And even you, Eddie, you guys would stay around here and buy those top shot NFTs? Yeah, I sold all mine, though. I'm out of the game. Out of the game, did you lose pretty good? I lost about 50 bucks. I put 200 in. See, 200 came out 150?
Starting point is 01:16:32 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that hurts. Lunchbox? I'm still in the game, man. Yeah. I still have mine. I had one. Janus that was worth like $900.
Starting point is 01:16:42 Did you pay that much? No, I paid, they had these challenges. And so I paid like $300 to get this Janus. You did a challenge and then paid $300? No, no, no, I paid $300 to acquire the certain cart. You got to get certain ones. Please never make fun of me playing video games ever. No, no.
Starting point is 01:16:58 I was trying, listen, I was trying to jump on this new trend that everybody was saying, investment businessman making business deal trying to get that money. And I spent like $300 and I got this Janus and it kept going up and up. And I was like, I should sell it. I should sell it. It got all the way to $900. And I was like, no, man, this is great. Now it's like $15.
Starting point is 01:17:16 Yeah. That's your show biz, baby. That's tough. Oh, my gosh. This man making a business move. Didn't make a move. Who's Yonis? He didn't make that money.
Starting point is 01:17:26 Arguably, first or second best NBA player. Oh. Yeah. Yeah, so I got in on those. And then they came out with the NFL ones. I was like, oh, you better get in on those. Mm-hmm. I do very good.
Starting point is 01:17:35 I don't know. Sorry, buddy. All right. All right. All right, that's the news. Those were. Bobby's big. Stories.
Starting point is 01:17:41 A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care where you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,

I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's, like, definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes, too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man, you can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories. They'll be like, Mommy, why did you miss that? Mommy, do you play basketball?
Starting point is 01:19:36 Check out Game Recognized game with Stewie and Moni. on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. American soccer is about to explode. The World Cup is coming. Ramos sending on to Ernie Stewart the chip. I'm Tad Ramos. I'm Tom Boe. On our podcast, inside American soccer, you'll get the real storylines.
Starting point is 01:20:05 I'm not worried about Policic. I'm not worried about balligan. I'm not worried about McKinney.
Starting point is 01:20:30 The World Cup is almost here. Experience it all with us. Listen to Inside American Soccer with Tom Bogart and Tab Ramos on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcast. This video has gone viral of a delivery guy, basically getting mad at a cup. customer because the tip he got now it's doorbell cam footage it's a guy with pizza he hands it over to the homeowner and then the verbal exchange and then here you go there you go thank you I just want to say it's a nice house for a five dollar tip you're welcome oh my that's crazy I mean pizza wouldn't have cost more than like 25 bucks I looked right and she's up to five dollar tip that's good and on the app listen I'm very pro pro tip I needed to be tipped but I'm I'm just just going to stand up for her. On the app, it says, okay, you want 16%, 18%, 20%, 20. It doesn't even really go above 25 unless you go down to custom.
Starting point is 01:21:32 So she probably hit one of the two biggest tip offers. Five bucks, hey buddy, it doesn't matter. It may not be your house either. How about that? That's true. She could be a guest. She could be the babysitter. You just can't do that crap.
Starting point is 01:21:45 That's really bad. And who says that to her face. Saying that to the doorbell camera is one thing. It's kind of funny. And maybe they hear it or see it. But to say that to her face, it's just awkward and mean. So awkward. One more time, though.
Starting point is 01:21:56 Here you go. There you go. Thank you. I'm welcome. I just want to say, it's a nice house for a $5 tip. You're welcome. That's Mr. Crengeworthy. That's Mr. Crengeworthy.
Starting point is 01:22:11 At least you gave a tip because sometimes those people don't tip. And that would make you real mad. Trust me. As a former delivery driver, I never got more mad than when I delivered to a hospital. and those stupid like hospital. Oh, you know, the, the, the people. No, the reps, the pharmaceutical reps, they would have you bring in five trays, six buckets of ice, five gallons of ice tea, all this stuff. No tip.
Starting point is 01:22:35 What the. Maybe they didn't know because it wasn't available on an app. It was right there on the sheet. Oh, oh, you sign it? They had to sign it. It said there was a tip there and they would put a line through it. I'm like, guys, it's not even your money. It is 105 degrees in San Antonio, Texas.
Starting point is 01:22:48 I am sweating. I had to wear pants. I am dripping sweat, made three trips across this hospital, and you gave me no tip. Oh, my goodness. I'm crazy that you don't tip, though, then. Because, again, I agree. Because I'm. He agrees.
Starting point is 01:23:01 You agree what? The pharmaceutical rep, you can't believe they don't tip. No, you. Again, I spent a lot of my life making tips. So I can appreciate that and like to make somebody feel the opposite of how I felt. It's the opposite for you. You feel like you should give it to everybody because you got it given to you. No, I do tip.
Starting point is 01:23:19 I tip delivery driver. But I also don't order delivery very often because I'm too cheap. I will go pick it up all the time. What about servers? I tip them. What? You tip them. You tip them.
Starting point is 01:23:32 But you pull your, you are tough with it. I'm tough. Listen, as a delivery driver, I had to earn it. Let me tell you, I dominated the delivery driver business. Normal day, you go, you have food. Service is fine and good. What's the percentage? 18%.
Starting point is 01:23:47 That's okay. 18, 20%. Why did you just go up? And you guys didn't say that was great. No, it's good. It's better than we thought you were going to say, if I'm being honest. And then, but that's where they start. They can go down.
Starting point is 01:23:58 Like, that's what I'm saying. Like, people automatically give them that, even if they think at their job. And that's not how it should be. How should it be? It should be they have to earn it. Yes, okay. That's fair. But there's an earned that's already implied.
Starting point is 01:24:10 If it just happens like it's supposed to, that's them earning it. That's bare minimum, guys. You're giving them a top line for bare minimum. That's not bare minimum. That's you just having your normal experience. Hey, speaking of money, Scooba, we played the lottery last night. Yeah, we did. Yes, we did.
Starting point is 01:24:25 Was there any winner at all for the big one? No, we rolled over to $720 million. Yeah! I guess my first question is... We didn't win. We didn't win, but we did win something. But you guys want to buy into it again for this? We don't know what we won.
Starting point is 01:24:38 You're already asking us for step. See, we haven't done B yet. Well, it's very crucial because there is the big pot still available. Are you guys still in? I'm in for... Hold on. No, no. We bought tickets. What happened last night?
Starting point is 01:24:48 So we have some winners and I will reinvest this for Wednesday's drawing, which is tomorrow. Stop calling it investing. It's an investment. But anyways, we won. Do you want to know the exact amount? How much money do we put in? We put in, oh my God. 2040s, 80, 100.
Starting point is 01:25:02 I think it's like 160 bucks. And then how much do we come out? We lost about half. We won $76. Dang, that's pretty good. That's pretty good. Okay, well, it's not pretty good, but it's not losing at all. Yes, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:17 We lost half. That wouldn't be pretty good. But you stayed alive for $700 million. Yeah. But we can still be alive for another $20. Yeah, but well, okay. So what do we do? We take that and put it back? Plus with another 20.
Starting point is 01:25:28 Yeah, plus another 20. Yeah. This is never going to end. And we're never going to win. You guys, that's why it's not investing. It's entertainment. I'm in, but you can't have that kind of attitude. We need to win.
Starting point is 01:25:37 We're going to win. I'm in. I'm in. I'm in. I'll give it to you before you live. I'm in. I have a clip that I saw on TikTok of this girl singing. And it just coincidentally is a Miss Arkansas competition.
Starting point is 01:25:45 and she is singing that song And you, and you're gonna love me From like showgirls or whatever Or not showgirls, what was it? Oh, showgirls, that's a good one. No, that was Elizabeth Berklee. No. Mulan Rouge?
Starting point is 01:25:57 No. Jennifer Hudson and they were the Chicago. No. It doesn't matter. Dream girls, thank you. I never heard of that one. Yes.
Starting point is 01:26:07 It won't like every. Yeah, it was good. I've heard of show girls. Anyway, she's singing the song, it doesn't matter. She's singing this song. It's like a minute. I'm going to stop it at some point. point, but I have a lot to say about this.
Starting point is 01:26:18 Hit the clip, please. Well, singing, and I am telling you, I'm not going. Is Miss Lake Dardanelle, Naomi, sure. Okay, for those just turning this on, this is not the song we're playing. This is, I think it's Miss Arkansas contest. And, you know, she's in the formal gown. She's very pretty. She's out with a microphone, big stars behind her on stage.
Starting point is 01:27:01 You know, just understand it. Go ahead. Okay, so this is a big competition, guys. She's in a formal, expensive dress. This is not like a local school talent show. I literally think this is for Miss Arkansas. Okay, there's only like 30 more seconds, but I just want to make sure you guys anything.
Starting point is 01:27:40 She's being for real. Yes. Go ahead. Show me sure. I have a lot to say. Oh, man. I watched this twice all the way through. How could you do that?
Starting point is 01:28:35 Make sure I wasn't missing something. And do they automatic, is that built in applause or is that real applause? No, I think it's people like going. Oh, man. This is what I want to say. She has such confidence what she sings that song. I love it. She went for it.
Starting point is 01:28:49 Yes. And that is what I took away from that. There's a lot of people who can and can't sing. It doesn't matter. If I can just have that kind of confidence for whatever I'm pursuing in my life, it doesn't matter. I'm just going to get better at it.
Starting point is 01:29:00 I can guarantee you the better singer than that today. She went with that with... She went so hard. Admirable. Like, I'm a fan of it. I'm not even going to make fun of the fact that it's vocally not the best. Not the best. Some notes she hit.
Starting point is 01:29:15 Oh, she did every note. So it's like a clock's right twice. The broken clock's right twice a day. Yeah. She did every note. There's every note in there that's ever existed. But she went so hard that I was inspired when it was over because she probably knew she was off at some point. She just wasn't.
Starting point is 01:29:30 Oh, you think? Yeah, you can't not know. I mean, okay, all right. And she just kept going confident as could be. That's how I want to live my life. You think she's really hurt that this is viral? I took positive from it. So if she happens to be listening to this right now, I watched it and went, I need more of that in my life from me.
Starting point is 01:29:47 what do the judges say after that? They probably snicker and just write their scores down and don't say much and just face forward. I've been a judge for Miss America before. Yeah. Like I was impressed with the woman that, the woman that was hosting or whatever. She didn't laugh or anything.
Starting point is 01:30:02 She goes, that was so-and-so. You just look forward and you continue on. I mean, like, I don't know how she didn't chucking about, that was. She goes, that was terrible. Yeah. I think that's, I love it. I watched it.
Starting point is 01:30:14 The second time I watched it, I watched it with a different feeling like, I just want to commit to things in my life. If I'm going to do them, I'm going to go as hard as I possibly can. Even if I'm not awesome at them, I'm going to go because if I just go hard, then I can get better. You're right. This is a beautiful life lesson. And you, and you, and you.
Starting point is 01:30:30 I want to say something positive. Go ahead. We might have found someone that Abby is better than. I mean, that is, that's you being positive. That is positive. That is positive me. Ord Abby. You guys always say I'm rude to Abby, but I think Abby might be better than her.
Starting point is 01:30:46 You'd think. Yeah, might be. My bet, too, is that she's not even really that bad. I think she was off. I think she started on the wrong. Oh, man. I don't know. But I want that.
Starting point is 01:30:56 That's all I'm saying. Put that in my suit. Whatever she was, that's what I want in me. She was going hard. I like it. Thank you very much. I have something else. I'll play something really good in a second.
Starting point is 01:31:06 Let's go and talk to Shauna, who lives in Iowa. Shauna, you are on the Bobby Bone show. What's going on? Hi. Hi, thank you so much. I was calling it. I had to, I just had to call in and comment. on the Miss Arkansas
Starting point is 01:31:18 performance that you shared her a little bit ago. Yeah. That was terrible, you guys. I, that was terrible. I've been involved with the Miss America organization for about 10 years. I actually served on a state board in Iowa. I'm very well-versed.
Starting point is 01:31:39 And I will say there's no way that girl gone on stage not knowing that she's bad, right? I don't know. I'm watching. She's very confident. what I took from it was she just went for it, left it all out there. A lot of people were, you know, giving her a hard time and like, oh, but I looked at it as, you know, there's the old in the arena.
Starting point is 01:31:59 Unless you're actually in the arena trying it to, don't even try to tell me what to do. It's like people talk about me doing this job. Like, unless you've done it, it's hard to criticize it for me to at least, like, appreciate the criticism. Unless you understand the pressures, unless you understand the good. I don't only care that much what you think about it. Unless you're somebody I care about. Same with her. Same thing.
Starting point is 01:32:19 Like, I think she went out. She left it all out there. Let's go. If you missed it, here's a clip of her. Go ahead. She's just trying real hard. And sometimes you try too hard. You know, if you try to run as fast as you possibly can,
Starting point is 01:32:43 let's say you're down, you're on, you start. I mean, imagine your fingers down on the line. Yep. And you're in runner's stance and they go, go. If you run as hard as you can and you just press so hard, that it will actually slow you down because you're making your body so tight. So what they say is try to run at 80% because running at that in, you're not going so hard, you're tightening.
Starting point is 01:33:01 Like, I feel like she was just going 130% and she was so tight, and once you lose, that you're just gone. Yeah. What I would like to do, and this is two years ago, what happened. Oh, please. Yes.
Starting point is 01:33:10 No, what I'm going to say is, I don't know if she even sings anymore. Oh, yes. Her name is Naomi. Sure? Yeah. She could be married. She could have a different name.
Starting point is 01:33:18 I don't know. But I'm seeing this pop up. I'm doing a bunch of shows all around. I'm going to Wichita. I'm going to Tulsa. I would love for her to, we could find a show on her to come out. and sing.
Starting point is 01:33:29 Perform. And crush it, be one of the openers and like have a positive moment. Wow. That'd be cool.
Starting point is 01:33:37 I don't even know if she wants to, if she cares, but I think if we could find her, that would be good, right? No one thinks she'd want to do it. Man,
Starting point is 01:33:44 I Google, where is she now? I can't find it. What made this pop up again? What do you mean? What did you? It was viral.
Starting point is 01:33:50 I know it's viral. Somebody just loaded it. Now, but. It's crazy, man. So I just loaded it. Okay. That's inspiring, though.
Starting point is 01:33:57 Live your life like that. Who cares? And unless people are trying it as well, don't let them criticize your critique you. Who cares what they think? Everybody's looking to drag somebody down if they're feeling down. That's why people drag people down because they're feeling down. You don't know anybody that's successful or feeling good that's also
Starting point is 01:34:12 making fun of people. Think about that. Think of the successful people that you know, or the people you know that are in just positive spaces in their mind and their health, like mental health. Are they trashing people behind people's back or on the internet? No. No. No. They're not. Because they're either working hard trying to make things happen for themselves.
Starting point is 01:34:28 And successful people don't worry about making fun of people below them. They're just trying to get up to the next level. So anyway, if we can get a hold of her and she wants to do it, that would be awesome. I feel inspired. She inspires me. I do have this. This is music that I heard. And I, again, send it over to Eddie.
Starting point is 01:34:45 And again, Eddie responds to him, I hate him. I'm my TikTok friend. He's my worst TikTok friend. He's my only. Here's the deal. If I'm available at that moment, I'll watch it. But if I'm not, I forget about it. Yeah, you're not a good TikTok friend.
Starting point is 01:34:55 Yeah, I'm working on it. This woman named Jackie Vinson. It's, I don't know, it just shows her. She's in black and white. She's probably 30 years old. She's in, like, sparkly shorts. She's playing guitar. She's singing the blues.
Starting point is 01:35:09 It is the best video I've ever seen on TikTok. I watch that one. That one I watched. Dude, she's so good. She's so good. That's amazing. I'm going to play. This is a live video.
Starting point is 01:35:18 Again, she's like 30, 31, 31, 32 years old. And it is Jackie Vinson. Go. She's playing guitar here too. That's her. She's like, it's the guitar and singing. It's the guitar and she's like just full vocals, full guitar at the same time. Here you go.
Starting point is 01:36:32 I used to hear that, baby. And then she goes much harder. I just wanted to play the first part of it.
