Hello, welcome to Tuesday show. Morning studio. Morning. All right, let's hear from Jody and St. Louis.
Starting point is 00:03:24 My husband, who is listening on the line, would like to say that he is totally upset with truck stops at the moment because they are charging them. They're making them pay to park there overnight. and he's been a truck driver forever, and this is the stupidest thing that I have ever heard of. And even if they get fuel at some of them, he still has to pay $15 to park there. Dumbest thing ever. As a former truck driver myself, as you guys may remember, I did have to go and get my CDL license and drive eggs across the city of Chattanooga. I totally relate. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Did you ever have to spend the night somewhere? Wow. In a truck? I did not. So that part I do not relate to. Yeah, it stinks. I'm seeing a lot of truck stops start to charge. Obviously, there's only so much space and so many trucks. There's also these places where they rent football stadiums that aren't in season, baseball stadiums that aren't in season. And they will turn all those parking lots into like luxury truck stops where they have like nice showers. And it's like 30 bucks instead of the 15 to park at the gas station. So I can't say anything. I can't call him. Be like, get me. my guy, cheaper rate. That is obviously money that you weren't planning on spinning, but there are new ways to actually be safer, less lot lizards. Yes. Oh, but heard of those. Some like those. Yeah. That's true. Good point. Good point. Yeah, we don't want to get rid of them. Yeah, well, as a truck driver, I relate, I hate that for you. Yeah, that's just, that's capitalism,
Starting point is 00:04:59 and sometimes it's awesome and sometimes you get stuck with the old capitalism sword. They can go to Walmart. It's free. I don't know if 18 wheelers are free, though. I've never seen 18 wheelers out there. Yeah, I don't think. I know. I've seen campers, though, so I assume everybody. It's like, what if you're a Target, 18 wheeler and you pull up to Walmart? Well, and also the deal with that is, too, that they'll kick you out to eventually if you have a camper just chilling in Walmart.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Oh. Really? Yeah, they'll let you do it for maybe tonight. Let's do one more. What do we do? Let's go number two here, Ray. Good morning, Bobby Bones. Good morning studio.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Hey, on Thursday show, you guys were talking about Stanley Cups and the pandemonium at Target. I got to tell you, I've got a preteen daughter. And those Stanley Cups, they're on the way out. Stanley Cups are not cool anymore. They're not hip. It's all about the Oala. So if you're looking to stay hip and stay on trend, you got to go to your local target and get you an O'Wala water bottle.
Starting point is 00:05:53 The more you know, just trying to help a brother out. Thank you. Yeah, O'Wala is a thing. If you see any sort of workout class, it's all O'Wallas. To me, it looks like Ottawa, the juice drink. I was like, look at the branch now. You know about the O'Wallas? I do, yes.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Basically, everyone on TikTok under the age of like 45 has now shifted from Stanley to a walla. It's not the round lid. Oh, I get it. Yeah. Morgan, what do you have? I have one of each. What do you have today? Today I have a Stanley.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Losers! Apparently I am. Got it in the trash can. Like water bottle is even a trend. Why were shoes a trend? I guess back in my day, a Naljean bottle was everything. You all have one of those? Mac in 19.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Yeah. So, I mean, I get it. But yeah, my daughter got her first a wallet. And no, that's what she wants? And I'm like, well, what about the Stanley's? Maybe I could sell them. Mom, Stanley was calling 96. It's the anonymous
Starting point is 00:06:53 by Steve. Oh, Bobby Bones. I've just started my senior year of high school. I'm now looking at colleges to apply to. And that's something my dad is not the least bit happy with. 30 years ago, my dad started roofing business. He's done very well with it. Over the last three years, he's dropped multiple not so subtle hints that he would love to retire
Starting point is 00:07:25 and he cannot wait for me to take over the business. The problem is I have no interest in roofing or running his business. I helped out a little over the summer. I earned some side cash. I found it boring, tedious, hot, and miserable. I don't want to do that for the rest of my life. I can't have that conversation with him though because when I try to talk about it, he acts like I'm crapping all over his legacy and disrespecting the,
Starting point is 00:07:46 life that he's trying to give me, which I never asked for. Is there any way to talk to him without him getting all butt hurt over the fact that I want to live my own life, not his? Signed, son of a roofer. Yes, there is a way to talk to him, but it is not going to be comfortable. This is not one of the comfortable conversations that you get to have in life because your dad wants something for you. He thinks it's best for you. You do not, however, you are now an adult. We're getting to be an adult and you get to make your own decisions. If you're absolutely certain that you do not want to be in the roofing business. And what's cool is, sounds like he's got a pretty successful business. 30 years. I don't think he's even asking
Starting point is 00:08:22 you get up on the roof. I did that. It sucked. That I would not want to do. Did too much of that. Clean off, carrying shingles up. I think it's a difficult conversation and you just have to understand that that's going to be a rocky path for a while. Dad, this is not for me. I have a, I would even express what your interest is in. Yes. And tell him why that's important to you the same way this was important to him. And the fact that he has created such a successful business has allowed you to pursue these other dreams. And without him, because I'm sure he just wants to be the provider.
Starting point is 00:08:58 He wants to be your guy. He wants to be the guy that sets you up because if I'm guessing his dad didn't set him up, that's why he's so passionate about this and that you love him for it and you want to do this. And you know what? If it doesn't work out, what's really cool is possibly you'd want to do it later on if it doesn't work out. And you probably don't. But it's just right now, that's just a buffer. Because you don't want there to be long term animosity or sadness.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Because your dad's going to be sad more than anything. He's going to act like it's anger, but it's sadness. But in the end, I just want you to know. He just wants to take care of you because you're his son and he loves you. That's what the very basis of this is. He's your son, but you're his son. and he loves you. The rest of it can be figured out,
Starting point is 00:09:42 but it is not going to be comfortable, but you never grow if it's comfortable. Physically, if you grow, it's uncomfortable. Mentally, if you grow, it's uncomfortable. Emotionally, it's uncomfortable. So go have an uncomfortable conversation. Explain to him why all the hard work that he has done to this point has got you to the point where you get to choose just like he did
Starting point is 00:10:00 and tell him you love him. And I bet you he understands. And if not, come work for me. Maybe. I don't want to run a job. You guys get mad. That's what I say, Amy, anything you want to add? Yeah, no, I think that you're spot on of sharing your passions and your dreams so that he's aware.
Starting point is 00:10:16 And I think making sure you express gratitude for everything he's done and say how thankful you are for that. And that would be key. And choose a calm time to do it. Yeah, not after the Cowboys lose. He's a Cowboys fan, right? Yeah, yeah. All right, close that up. Hit me with the voicemail. Morning Bobby Bone show.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for everything that you do. I'm going to a breakup right now. He actually hated your show, which should have been my first red flag, because I've been listening to your show since the seventh grade, and I'm now 28 years old. So bye. We didn't work out.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Obviously, our values weren't aligned, particularly if you hate your show. So I am super happy. Now I can listen to 24-7, just like I like to do. And I need to find a B-T merch. So maybe you guys can start a singles page for us so we can find each other. I don't want that for you. I like everything else you said. I don't want that for you.
Starting point is 00:11:11 Because I've met a lot of B-teamer dudes. The B-teamer team are women, pretty much A-plus. B-teamer dudes, sometimes I feel like they're up to no good. There's dudes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that dude kicked him to the curb. You know, if I had to guess why he didn't like the show, he's probably jealous Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:11:29 I was going to say the same thing. He's like, dang, that dude sounds like a real man. She's listening to you, probably falling in love. Looking at my pics online. Yep. Follow me on socials. And that'll get you in trouble. Probably liking all your stuff.
Starting point is 00:11:41 Oh, yeah. Oh, did you hear what Lunchbox? Lunchbox is so funny. The guy's like, man, I can't compete with this guy. Nothing will break up a relationship like somebody having a crush on lunchbox. Real quick. It happens a lot, though. Hey, let's get her number.
Starting point is 00:11:53 I would like to give her a few gifts, Scuba for coming back. I'm going to give her any money or anything. I thought you're going to give her a few dates. I was like, what? No, but I didn't give her stuff. I just want to say to her. I appreciate her calling and saying that. and if we can get her on the phone, maybe we'll talk to her.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Okay. Boom. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Do you snoop in other people's refrigerators? No, I don't snoop in anybody's anything ever. Never? No. Because, I believe, do onto others.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Okay. Well, people might be doing it to you. I don't know if they snooping in my stuff, I don't snoop in theirs. Yeah. I know one doesn't affect the other, but I'll look, even when people have their phones up and they're like, let me show you a picture. And they're like rolling through to find it. I turn my head because they don't want.
Starting point is 00:12:36 want me to see all what's in it. But I'll just turn my head. I don't want to see anything that anybody doesn't want me to see. Turns out majority of us are really curious of what people have inside their refrigerator, what they're buying, how things are organized. And medicine cabinets. You guys are all looking at that too. Oh, I love that. No, that's very different. It's very different. Because you can lock the door behind you. No one knows what you're doing in there. See what I mean, Amy? So anyway, if you find yourself on your snoop into someone's fridge when you're over at their house, you're not alone. But that doesn't mean you're right. But you might get some ideas on either, you know, what...
Starting point is 00:13:07 And if you want to murder your neighbor, you're not alone. Well, that doesn't mean you're right. If you want to eat something spicy, all you got to do is think happy thoughts and it will reduce the kick. That's not true. That's not true. No, research has discovered that positive thinking can actually make spicy food taste less intense. That's so stupid. Get the shot. Yeah, let's let Amy think of some positive things. Uh-huh. Because the last time she took the spicy shot, she started screaming. Help. Help. Help. Help. Help. I think that was more than a spicy shot. That was the shot of death.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Yeah, you know, but it was a spicy shot. But if you've been thinking of butterflies, butterfly, signs, cardinals. We'll never know. It had been like cold milk. Because I'm not going to test it out. It's horrible. But if you like hot things and you get irritated, then just think positive thoughts. I wonder what they teach our military where as if they are held somewhere and they're tortured and the crap beat out of them.
Starting point is 00:13:59 There's got to be some mind, inner manipulation going. Oh, there absolutely is. So you've got to be having, I wonder if they're just going, think positive. Yes, okay. Oh, good call. Well, there is research about that out of like survivors of the Holocaust and how they. I'm talking about even like our people to get held up and like I ran and just get punched in a face, try to get secrets. Maybe I watched too many spy movies.
Starting point is 00:14:21 But still, all of that, there's got to be something about them teaching you. You don't exist right now. You don't exist. You exist maybe in another world. Your brain takes you somewhere else. And that's what I want to know before I ate spicy food. That's my point. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:38 I want to know that before I ate spicy food. Mm-hmm. Okay. Yeah. So Snoop Dog is going to be doing something with Zach Ryan. He was on the Today Show talking about his love of country music. He's like, yeah, I'm friends with Willie Nelson, done some stuff with Chris Stapleton. And then apparently Zach Ryan reached out to him and asked him to collab in a way.
Starting point is 00:14:57 So hopefully that'll be coming out down the line. Snoop Dog, comeback player of the life. In NFL, Amy, they have a comeback player of the year every year. somebody who was hurt and came back. Snoop Dog comeback player of life. He's everywhere. No. They just sealed his murder indictment from like 93 or 94.
Starting point is 00:15:13 They sealed it. You can't ever look at it. And he was found not guilty. Full trial though. Like it went right to it where it's like we, Calvin Brodeus, you are not guilt. That guy was a gangster rapper. I mean, as profane as you could possibly be. His 1993 murder charge was officially sealed this year.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Like was possibly new something. or involved and he's not guilty of the murder. But I mean, that guy went from that to doing like, hey, Snoop, you want to be Zorko in the new Disney animated film? Yeah. Like, good for him. Face of the Olympics? Like, I don't know there's a face, but he was definitely somebody's.
Starting point is 00:15:47 All over it. I mean, all over it. Yeah, cookbook with Martha Stewart. Like, let's go. I like it. You can actually, you can rehab any image. You can turn, be a new person. But, yeah, that's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:15:58 That's it. Maybe that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the. Good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. So how annoying is it whenever your electricity goes out and you know there's a storm?
Starting point is 00:16:13 Oh, so annoying. And the fridge goes out and your food's all spoiling. The worst. Yeah, it sucks. Now, imagine if you were in the hurricane, Hurricane Helene, and there are places that still don't have their power back after that hit, I don't know. Week and a half two weeks. It's been a bit. So Helene devastated Western North Carolina.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Still tons of fallen trees. still washed out roads. They're trying to get power back. That's one of the first things that they try to do. And so this guy named Matt, this guy named Nathan, they are linemen, and they're like, all right, we're going to go. They're like hiking through mud. They want to get out to the Veterans Hospital
Starting point is 00:16:50 because they need to get that thing back and running. And so a lot of their day is just on foot with their backpacks going through all these areas that cars and trucks can't get through to just make sure that people's power is back up. And so finally, though, they made it to the veteran center, which is the medical center up there. Matt, who has military family members, and as an Air Force veteran himself,
Starting point is 00:17:12 said he just had to get power on at the VA. So here they are, march to the mud, saving normal folks, and they finally get back to the hospital and get it back on. Wow. Whenever other cars, people weren't able to get there in, like, the trucks.
Starting point is 00:17:24 So they got on foot and walked miles through mud. I like to say uphill both ways. Yeah, why not? That's just fun to say. Both ways. Yeah, both ways. But, yo, shout out to these guys. Try to say the names right.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Matt, Martinka, and Nathan Curley. Appreciate you guys. Awesome job. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement
Starting point is 00:18:04 to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose,
Starting point is 00:18:22 and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast. It's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Listen to The Clifford show on the IHeard radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
Starting point is 00:19:04 We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands.
Starting point is 00:19:27 I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Ego Wode. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live,
Starting point is 00:19:55 and The Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day. And I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means. But I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come look for up and coming talent.
Starting point is 00:20:16 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, You know, the cat just hang in there.
Starting point is 00:20:44 Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Starting point is 00:21:27 or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Slica Life 12 and TikTok podcast network on TikTok. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth.
Starting point is 00:21:50 You doctored this particular test twice in soons, correct? I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young.
Starting point is 00:22:15 This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Maricopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. More than half of Americans don't know this basic item of personal information about themselves.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Okay, that's... Oh, that's easy. Oh, yeah, I got that. Same a question here. I do want to put on Danny. Danny, what's up, buddy? Good morning, studio. Morning.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Morning. Morning, buddy. Here's what we're going to do. We're going to give you a chance. You have three opportunities to win a collection of prizes from us. Collection of prizes is the euphemism for crap from the back. Yes. But some of our crap's new and good now.
Starting point is 00:23:10 We'll move buildings. We chunked all the bad stuff. Yeah, we threw it all away. Okay, so here's the question. More than half of Americans don't know this basic item of personal information about themselves, and more than half of those are afraid to find out. Oh, afraid of... That's right.
Starting point is 00:23:27 There's a wrinkle. So what I'm going to do first, Danny, is let you think about it, and then you get to answer first. Got it. I'm in. I'm in. I nailed it. That's all good. Let's do it, Danny.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Danny has to stay here. Danny, you get the first guess, but if you miss it, you're okay, you're still in the mix. Place of birth. Place of birth, solid, incorrect, though. Why would you not want to find that out? Well, maybe you don't want to know that you've been born in Texas and you're a Razorback fan. Wow. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:23:57 That's right. Do you never know? God, Lee, I don't know. I don't know what's wrong with you. Exactly. Half of Americans, I don't know. Let's go around the room. So, Danny, you're now going to get to pick two plus.
Starting point is 00:24:08 players here. Amy, Lunchbox, Morgan, or Eddie, you can pick two of them. And if either one of them get it right, you win. Who would you like to go with? Eddie's been pretty good with this. Okay. Eddie won. Danny, I'm going to be real. I probably want it, maybe twice. Yeah. But you have got two out of like five. No, no, he picked you. He wants you. Now he's going to pick me, so he'll win. But I for sure have this answer. Go ahead. And who else? All right. Yeah, let's go with lunchbox as well. Yeah. Yeah. Good, good, good bit. Lunchbox and Eddie. I'd say I probably get it the most if we're being honest. Oh, a little cocky over there.
Starting point is 00:24:43 If you get it right, he wins. We don't like cocky. I have your blood type. Blood type? Okay. Lunchbox. See, I had blood type, but then you said scared to find out. There's nothing scary about knowing a blood type.
Starting point is 00:24:55 You have to get your blood drunk. No, no, no, no. Hey, that's a pretty good, I didn't understand why that would be that, but okay. That's the afraid thing makes sense. It's your blood pressure because that's... Why are you're scared of that? What? Because that's when you're dying.
Starting point is 00:25:08 You don't know. But people are scared. They don't like to go to the doctor. We get two bloods, though, here. We have any crips? Oh, my goodness. We got two bloods, any crips? Morgan.
Starting point is 00:25:17 I did. I went with Amy's similar blood type, but I ended up changing it to credit score. Oh, that's good, too. That's a good one. Yeah. Solid. You don't really want to look at it. I feel like that's really good.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Edward? So immediately I went blood type, right? Who knows their blood type? But I, too. Well, that's stupid. The answer is credit score. You have the same? So, come on, baby.
Starting point is 00:25:38 So we got two bloods and two credits. Almost bloods and cliffs. Almost. Okay. You're all wrong. What? You're all wrong. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:25:49 And man, do I have some good stuff for a buddy Dan here? I have Rio Bravo on DVD with John Wayne. We have Evil Dead Rise. We have a Thai Beanie baby. And we have this collector's edition Barbie that the show will sign that we got a long time ago. I don't know, dude. That's a nice Barbie. It is.
Starting point is 00:26:10 probably a hundred bucks. Let me look. Okay. All four of you write your answers down. Let me know. I'll do the question again. More than half of Americans don't know this basic item of personal information about themselves. And more than half of those are afraid to find out.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Got it. I got it now. So stupid. I didn't think of this at the beginning. Oh, man. Okay. Eddie's in. Lunchbox is in.
Starting point is 00:26:34 I'm in for the win. I just don't feel like it's a serious answer. I feel like it's... I'm in. Is it slipping on a banana pill? Yeah, like something that I'm not going to go to. Amy? I don't know. Like, family history.
Starting point is 00:26:49 I was just going to say, are you in, ready? Oh, yes. I'm going. Okay. Hey, Danny, you can pick that they all get it or they don't get it. And if you're right, you end. I'm going to have to say nobody gets it this time. Sorry, dude.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Smart. Amy, I have no idea what your guest is. It is family history. Of what? I think you'd say that. You know, I don't know. just, you know, the 23 and me, stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:27:14 If you find out, you have like a... We'll accept it. No need to explain. You're dating your sister. Oh, right. So we jumped there. Lunchbox. Yeah, I put ancestors because they may have been like into bad stuff.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Okay, so we have the same answer and you were making fun of me. No, I didn't make fun of you. I didn't know what you were saying, family history of what? So I could... Or again? I was... I went debt. Debt? How much debt you're in? Oh, that's good. Like they don't know
Starting point is 00:27:37 but they also don't want to know? Yeah, they just, you know, choose to ignore it. That'd be weird. Eddie? Not knowing that. I'm going to go with who your daddy is. Huh. What?
Starting point is 00:27:46 Who your real dad is. Family history. Pretty much. Three different ways to say it. So he did guess that no one would get it. We got it, didn't we? And he won, because nobody got it. So what is it?
Starting point is 00:27:59 Well, hold on. Well, he's going to tell us. How many times are we done this, Amy? What if I just ended the segment? I was like, hear it on the podcast. So, hey, Danny, you are a prize winner. We're going to send you a bunch of stuff here. We'll send you this.
Starting point is 00:28:10 I'll send you a sign book. We'll send some DVDs, a sign Barbie, all this crap. Their weight. No, okay. Oh. The answer is, more than half of Americans don't know this basic item of personal information about themselves. And more than half of those are afraid to find out. There was a large period of my life where I was really afraid to find out.
Starting point is 00:28:32 Cancer history. Sexuality. Whoa. I don't know. Got her. That's crazy. Just trying to figure out. Hey, maybe we should unfold this and chase this one, chase with this one down.
Starting point is 00:28:45 What is, well, let me think. Their bank account balance. You know, no one knows that? I would be so scared. I'd be so scared I was going to overdraft. That's not, Morgan, it's not the same thing. Half of Americans don't know their bank account balance, then I want to meet these people. I live that way.
Starting point is 00:28:58 I live that way for a long time. And I kind of had an idea, but I never knew it. And then I never wanted to know it because I was like, man, if only have four bucks and I got to go, I got a stop of Popeye's on the way back from work, I just pray to God it goes through. Yeah. Oh, man, I've checked that thing like three times a week. Yeah, man. Just so we don't go under. I know, but there's... But that's also now with you guys. And also, you know, everybody grows up differently. You have some of the box's neighborhood to grow up in as a kid? It's very nice. It's very nice. It's very nice. It's very nice. I wish. All right. Hey, congratulations. Danny. We're going to get your prize. Appreciate you listening, man.
Starting point is 00:29:32 It's really good to talk to you guys. And I'm really excited about the prize. I've been wanting something signed from you all forever. All right. Well, thank you. I hope you have a great day. Stay on the phone. Lunchbox, what you got? So I took my six-year-old, he wasn't feeling well. I took him to the doctor. And before the doctor comes in, they have all the equipment hanging on the wall. Like the little thing, they look in the ears and the like blood pressure machine thing. And so we play doctor.
Starting point is 00:29:55 So I'm there playing with the tools. Play doctor? Yeah. I'm playing with the tools looking in his throat. He's taking selfies, but I'm looking at selfies of lunchbox. Yeah. And then so then my son likes to hold it and play doctor with me and check me out. And the doctor walks in why I'm examining.
Starting point is 00:30:09 his ear and he's like do you really think it's a good idea we play with that uh that's pretty expensive i think we should probably leave that for the doctor when he walked in did you feel like oh god a little bit yeah so you knew you were doing something wrong then exactly no no i don't think i'm doing anything wrong well then why would you react like going and i was sitting on the doctor chair you know the one that wheels back and boy that's so cool that's so fun and i'm going on this side all the middle looking this year and the doctor kind of scolded me and i was like huh if you have it hanging on the wall, don't you expect people to play with it? No, I don't think that's the rule.
Starting point is 00:30:40 No, I don't think it's hanging on the law. Hey, a couple reasons. One, expensive. Two, if you touch it and you're sick and it touches parts of you that are sick, the doctor could get sick, the person he goes into it next with and the, let's say he doesn't use the ear thing on your kid's ear, but you just stuck it in your kid's ear. And the next person that comes along gets stuck in his ear. Now he's got whatever ear disease your kid has. Yeah, he's assuming it's sterilized because that's what they do. But it is pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:31:06 though because they turn that light on so you're always like I wonder what they can see in there you saw what they could see in there well I could see down the throat the ear I couldn't really tell like I just looks like an ear to me so what is your question because I feel like you really want us to be on your side so my question is is it okay to play
Starting point is 00:31:22 doctor when you're at the doctor's office like is it okay to touch the stuff you get a little I got a little stick you know one of those those are cool the tongs that's fine you can put it back in the box out right no you throw the trash but just like the doctor does so I just want to know is it okay to play doctor?
Starting point is 00:31:39 Well, that's just a weird thing to ask because play doctor means something else. No, you don't own that stuff. That stuff is not community property. The doctor had to pay for that stuff. It's not like tax dollars or paying for that doctor's stuff. And also, you could be putting germs ill. You're there because somebody's ill, and you can be putting illness germs on something that somebody else could get ill from.
Starting point is 00:31:57 But you said, like, what in there could we? No, what are you allowed to play with? Nothing. Maybe the disposable tongue thingies. No. The popsicles sticks, yes. Don't go get into those. If you ask the doctor, if you can have one, fine.
Starting point is 00:32:09 But just because you think it's okay, it's not yours. The long cutieps, those are cool. And if you ask for one, you can have one. You know what else we do? We open the cabinet and get the gloves on like the doctor does. That would be fun. Did you put on a white coat? No, they didn't have a white coat.
Starting point is 00:32:25 Oh. Okay, so let's just all be clear here. Yeah, yeah. This is funny. We got a good laugh. Right, how high, I played doctor was kid. But you can't use that doctor stuff. It's not yours.
Starting point is 00:32:35 the doctor had to pay a bunch of money to do it. The doctor's like a teacher. We had some pay his to buy his own supplies. Then I just want to give advice to the doctors. Don't leave it in the room. Because as a human, that is not a doctor. He's got to roll it around like 8th grade when you're getting to watch a movie, that TV on that three.
Starting point is 00:32:51 The projector. The VCR. I'm sorry. That's funny. We just had a different time. Eddie went with projector. I went with VCR. Tell me you guys aren't different ages.
Starting point is 00:32:59 By two years, though. Hey, tell me you are different ages. It was the cusp of technology. No, we're different decades. No, by two years. The answer is no, you cannot play with the doctor's equipment, and they also own the room, so they can put in whatever in the room they want. Okay. He's scolded now.
Starting point is 00:33:15 But we learned. And if you also, at any time you feel like, oh, got it, I got caught, then you were probably doing something that you shouldn't have been doing. All right. Comfortable? Yeah. Okay, good. My doctor days are over. Being one or going to them?
Starting point is 00:33:27 Being one, I guess. You never were. And Amy's sick now, and it's from you. So you were at the doctor, weren't you, like the other day? No, I was with my... He just called us right now. Yeah, we're right. Always.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Amy, what's the list? Well, these are things that people notice right when they come into your house. Because, you know, before someone comes over, you might be like, oh, I got to get this together, this together, that together. Well, this is what they're actually looking for or sensing. And I feel like, since I smell my dogs all the time, there is no dog smell. It's just this... There's no dogs. And people come in and be like, dang, you have dogs.
Starting point is 00:34:00 As soon as you open that door, you smell what the house smells like. Do you smell dogs in my house? No. You have a clean house. Yeah, but I mean it didn't mean you can't smell dogs. I don't know. I have dogs. So then I don't know if I just other houses with dogs, I don't really smell it.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Like when I go in lunchbox's house, smell the dogs, smell the laundry, all of it. Dogs from three generations ago. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's like my parents smoking when I was a kid. I didn't realize I smelled like smoke. So I went to college and someone came in my door. I was like, dude, you're close stink like cigarettes. And I was like, really?
Starting point is 00:34:27 Because you're out at all the time. You just got used to it. Amy, give me the list. All right. People are noticing the temperature. when they come into your house. And this is what comes in at number 10. Well, that takes a second, right?
Starting point is 00:34:36 Yeah. Yeah, but they're going to notice if it's hot or cold pretty quickly. But what if it's perfect? Well, then that they may not notice. Because it's perfect in my house. Unless you go to the bedroom, that's freezing. All right, what else? Who's playing music all the time?
Starting point is 00:34:50 No, no, no. When people are coming over, you put the songs on. Yeah. You do? Yeah, you suck the mood. No, no, and it depends who's coming. Like bones, you're coming over. I'm putting little John Mayer on there.
Starting point is 00:35:00 That's not true. Why not? Because I've been to your house multiple times and there's ever John Mayer on. No, but you customize it to who's coming. Like country fans? We put a little country music on. There's never music playing when I come to your house. Yes, I guarantee you the last time you came to my house I had music on.
Starting point is 00:35:15 Okay, go ahead. Empty walls. I like empty walls. I feel very, I like minimalist. Do you think that's because y'all moved a lot and so you probably didn't decorate the walls that much? Because then that made it that much more difficult to move? Great point. I don't know if difficult is.
Starting point is 00:35:31 word. I don't know if you mean like heart difficult or like. No, like taking it down. If you're renting, you have to like fix the wall or paint over it. That's a good point. I never thought about that. Yeah, we moved around a lot. Obviously, he's a kid. Getting kicked out of places or even switching trailers. Matt, maybe. Never thought about that. Small breakthrough here.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Yeah, go ahead. Interesting or weird furniture. I will say your other house, the first thing everybody noticed was a weird Tiffany plate thing. Me too. Me too. I was like, this is the grosses. I hate them. Let's break them. And the way it turns out they were like a lot of money like a lot of money i hated those things go ahead so yeah interesting furniture like that and then the entryway like what it looks like is that the front door yeah where you walk in
Starting point is 00:36:12 yeah like what do you notice about it's all shoes in my house now because my wife has committed fully and i'm committed fully to uh of we don't wear shoes in the house and she has a great point everything we walk around outside we then stick all over the floor and it's it's difficult for me but we do it and there's shoes and it's always my shoes she does great she takes her shoes off walks into the place. Dude, for me, it's like the ball pit at showbiz. It's just my shoes. You walk in, you just fall into those things and get lost.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Showbiz. Yeah. House plants. I just feel like they're all fake. Everybody has fake ones. I'm starting to try to get, did you know you can take a house plant course online? I know.
Starting point is 00:36:48 I don't feel any smarter because I do know that now. No, but I just want to learn how to keep them alive. Oh, I know that water. Yeah, I'm watering in sunlight. Water and care of love. If the kitchen and bathrooms are clean. For sure. Dirty dishes I take a look at.
Starting point is 00:37:01 Because people are coming over. I'm doing the dishes. I mean, I might not, but somebody will. Do you go to the bathroom though and make sure like it's pretty tidy, especially if the guests are using? No, you have kids. There's no way the bathroom's clean. Period. The guest bathroom is always clean. I go, before somebody comes over, I will go to the bathroom in the bathroom and flush it to make sure it goes down. Oh.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Yeah. Oh, to make sure. Oh, so that they don't end up getting stuck with it not flushing. That's considerate. Interesting. Yeah, yeah. Okay. So I force feed myself. That's about nothing but sloppy Joe's for 30 days.
Starting point is 00:37:31 clutter people notice clutter yeah I think we all are okay with it because we do it too so I may notice clutter but I'm like you know what I do this crap all the time they probably just didn't clean it up in time also if they don't have clutter I'm like oh they just shoved in a closet yeah the clutter's just hidden lighting is it number two this is the I guess only if there are no lights on I'm like why I cannot see anybody well they may notice like is there an ambiance being said is it low lighting is this a trick is somebody gonna attack me? All right, go ahead. And experts say this is the number one thing people actually notice about your home, how it smells. Whether it's a good smell or a bad smell, people are noticing.
Starting point is 00:38:10 My friend Evan always had like a smell, like a good smell. His mom always had it. And I remember that smell. Popery? I don't know what it was. Probably something, but I don't even know if my house has a smell. But I remember going to Evan's house. It was always like fresh smelling. Yeah, I wonder if my house has a smell. Yeah, it has a smell for sure. Yeah. It's a lot of good one. It's probably a different kind of potpourri. A lot of other little mixtures. Got you. But smells number one easily. Easily, right?

The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story.
Starting point is 00:42:37 This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing.
Starting point is 00:43:00 Greg Lespian and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Maricopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona.
Starting point is 00:43:25 Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox Tell me something good Last week, the East Coast of Florida was hit with a series of tornadoes. Who knew they had tornadoes in Florida? I had no idea.
Starting point is 00:43:46 Well, Michelle Westfield... Did you think it was only hurricanes? Only thought it was hurricanes. Interesting. That's fair. Yeah, no, I don't know that if you would have said, do they have tornadoes in Florida,
Starting point is 00:43:55 I would have definitely been like, of course they do. So I don't want to laugh at you. Yeah. Eddie laughed. I'm going to take that. No, no, I said sounds fair. I didn't think they were tornado.
Starting point is 00:44:04 No, no, you got a smile. A little bit of him laughed, then I almost laugh, but then I thought, I don't want to laugh because I'm not sure. Okay, go ahead. Yeah, so Michelle's driving down the road, and she sees a tornado, and it's coming right forward. She's like, uh-oh, slams it in reverse. And as she's driving down the street, backwards, hog and horn going, get inside. Tornado's coming.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Tornado's coming. And there was a family, Brandi Clark, her kids, and her were out in the front yard. She scoops them up, runs in the house, and she said, within two minutes, the tornadoes, hit her house and she was safe because of Michelle. Wow. And she got on Facebook saying, hey, there was some lady driving down the street yelling tornado, tornado, I'd love to reconnect with her. They met up, had coffee.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Now they played on going camping together and being lifelong friends. The campings are quite the jump. It's nice, though. Coffee to camping. Campfires and stories. Marshmallows. But I got a question. Where did Michelle hide?
Starting point is 00:44:59 I'm looking at torrent. I don't know. She went in the car. She outran it, I think, right? Probably. Or maybe not random. but just picked a different direction. Kind of hard to run a tornado really rolling.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Right, right, right. I'm looking at tornadoes by States as of May 8th, 2024, so we're way later than that. But as of May 8th, Florida had 34. Also, it could be up in, what city that was? No, Port St. Lucy. Oh, that's down there. Yeah, yeah. I was thinking like Tallahassee, some of the landlock.
Starting point is 00:45:23 The panhandle. Yeah, 34 in Florida. Dang, that's crazy. All right, thank you. Good job. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Tuesday, Reviews Day, what have you watched?
Starting point is 00:45:34 I'll watch season three of slow horses. It's my favorite show. There's one more season I can't wait to do. That's nonstop. It's we've been watching. It's excellent. It's on Apple Plus. It's British.
Starting point is 00:45:46 But it's so good. So slow horses, season three, better than season two. Amy. Okay, so. I got to give it, hold on four and five out of five horses. Oh, course. But there really are no horses in this show. It's not about horses.
Starting point is 00:45:59 It's about spies. Okay. Go ahead, Amy. So I can't officially review anything because I'm not completely. Fair enough. But I start, Marking my way through slow horses season one.
Starting point is 00:46:08 It's so good. Okay. But I have no full review. No full review. Half review. Half review is so good. It's so good. I can't wait to get through it.
Starting point is 00:46:16 Good. Half review. You're right. If we half review, it's a whisper. Lunchbox. I have not completed anything. I am halfway through. Half review.
Starting point is 00:46:24 Yeah, the season of the bear. Half review. Whispair. Oh, half review. You can't whisper. And I don't know why Amy and Morgan said it was terrible. You like it so far? I'm enjoying.
Starting point is 00:46:34 I don't know that I said terrible. I just think that it's like very different than season one and two. We'll spend no more time on it. Just a half of you. Morgan. I watched season three of Lincoln Lawyer. Such a good show. Matthew McConaughey?
Starting point is 00:46:45 No. It's a TV show that they started on Netflix like separate from that movie. And it's all about this dude who's a lawyer and he fights all these things. It's my new version of suits. And I really love it. It's funny. It's serious. You just like it though.
Starting point is 00:46:58 Yeah, the drama. And it, I mean, I like sat up in my couch was watching us how good this was. This wasn't a past. watch. Give me the review. Four out of five offices. That's a pretty boring metric.
Starting point is 00:47:13 I'm sorry. So I watched the entire documentary of brats. It's called brats. It's about the brat pack. Do you remember those guys? Like in the 80s, they were like the kids that did all the movies.
Starting point is 00:47:24 Molly Ringwald, Judge Jude Law. Nelson. Nelson. What? Judge Nelson. Emilio Estevez. I got mixed up a little bit.
Starting point is 00:47:33 Go ahead. So apparently that was a bad thing for them because it killed some of their careers, like being called... They're typecast, yeah. Tybcast. So this guy, one of them, did a whole documentary where he goes back to everyone that was part of the Brat Pack and see what that name did to them. If it was good for their career or bad for their career, kind of a whiny documentary. You know?
Starting point is 00:47:51 Where everyone's like, man, it ruined my career. But some of them, like, they still had a career. So I don't really know. It's decent watch. It's cool to see some of the footage back from the 80s and kind of how they lived back then. But I give it like three and a half Brat's out of five. What's it on? It's on a Hulu.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Mike, do you watch a movie? I watch Smile 2 in theaters. Oh, that's the scary where they smile before they die. Yeah, this one is scarier than part one. Like this one got me a little bit. It takes a lot to give me. You like it? Yeah, it was good.
Starting point is 00:48:15 What do you give it? I give it four out of five pop stars. Pop stars, huh? Yeah. I almost watched that movie where they try to trap the guy in the movie theater. Oh, yeah, trap. It's kind of similar to that. Yeah, it's a M-Night Shyamalan.
Starting point is 00:48:26 Yeah. Almost watched it. So I review it five almost, but I didn't watch it. I saw it out there. Guys, I'll have a review. I'm still watching Penguin. Oh, yeah, we're watching that too. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:48:36 It's dark. It's so good. All right. The end. Let's now go to Amy and get her morning corny. The morning corny. Who did the skeleton take to the dance? Who?
Starting point is 00:48:50 Nobody. Nobody. Got it. Nobody got it. Nobody. That was the morning corny. Jason Kelsey fell asleep during the two. Taylor Swift concert?
Starting point is 00:49:03 Oh, no. And people are trying to make a big deal about it. Listen, you don't fall asleep at a concert because the concert's not good. You fall asleep because you're exhausted. Yes. You've seen it a lot. No, just you're exhausted. You're tired.
Starting point is 00:49:15 Because the Taylor show, this is like the first version of it back after a while. She had a snake dress. I've been watching all of it. I mean, it's in all the updates. Yeah, like all the new unveiling. But it looked like Jason Kelsey was closing his eyes. By the way, Jason is the brother of Travis. Jason also played the NFL. He played for the Eagles. He retired. And so he was at the show. And here's why it's okay that he fell asleep. He was with his wife and two daughters and his mom was there. He's got kids and wife. They're running around all day. He's exhausted. Dad life. Justice for Jason Kelsey is what I say.
Starting point is 00:49:49 Some social media users are convinced that Kelsey, the former Eagle Center fell asleep and some people are upset about it. You know what? Let people sleep. Yeah, who cares? Why are you upset? He's at a concert. He can do whatever he wants. If he wants to take a nap, take a nap. I mean, to me, it's like, oh, wow, this is maybe the one place he feels safe to, like, relax. Oh, I think he's just exhausted. He knows if he falls asleep, he's going to have pictures taken of him. So this is just, I got kids and a mom and a wife, and I've been working a lot, I've fallen asleep. But you could just say Taylor's music is soothing for him? The show, though, is not soothing, you know?
Starting point is 00:50:21 New York Post with that story, falling asleep at a concert. I fell asleep at Paul McCartney. My cousin Andrew is really into old people music. You went to Paul McCartney? That's really cool. I've never heard that. He went to a people's show. I think he didn't go.
Starting point is 00:50:36 It was here in town and my cousin flew in town just to go to Paul McCartney because he's huge in these old. He goes to see Kansas, all those weird bands. He's like, dude, we got to go to Paul McCartney. So he bought me a ticket and we went and I fell asleep. I fell asleep about 30 minutes into the show. Were you so sleepy, though? It was so boring.
Starting point is 00:50:54 It was so boring. It's crazy you have such little music culture. I get it. If you weren't around it, it's not cool to you, right? What do you mean? Paul McCartney. He was a Beatle. He's a Beatle. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:51:05 No, he was so... And he plays Beatles songs at his show. It's not like he played random songs. It was so boring. Did he play any songs you knew? I don't know. Fell asleep, man. I mean, probably about 20 minutes in.
Starting point is 00:51:14 I was like, man, I'm done with this. And I just fell asleep and I'll let my cousin enjoy it. And then finally he was like, hey, man, if you want to go, we can go. Anybody else fall asleep at a concert? No. Never fall asleep at a concert? No. Never falling asleep at a concert.
Starting point is 00:51:25 No. Well, mostly I don't go to a lot of concerts. If I go to music stuff, it's a lot for work. But if I go to a concert, like, I'm pumped. Yeah. And I'm trying to get on the Jumbotron. And you want to be there. And it's hard to get on the Jumbo Tron if you're asleep.
Starting point is 00:51:37 Do you guys see the Olivia Rodriguez show where she's like, you two kiss? And it was a brother's sister. Oh, gosh. She didn't know. She didn't know. She wasn't trying to have like some incest thing happen. But they do kind of like a kiss cam. And they're like, no, no, no, we're brother's sister.
Starting point is 00:51:49 We're brother's sister. And then later she tweeted. And then later she tweeted. That's pretty funny. This guy had bad indigestion. I have IBS. He's getting a little better though. I've learned my diet a little better.
Starting point is 00:52:00 This guy had bad indigestion and what was in his stomach. It's to make you go, oh my goodness. So, by the way, anybody have any like indigestion issues? No. Good for you guys. Pretty good. All right. You guys are all in the clear.
Starting point is 00:52:11 This guy was not. Doctors were shocked to find a live cockroach in the small intestine of a patient complaining of stomach aches and indigestion. Alive? It was still alive. It was living in there. Yeah. Yeah. The guy 23 years old went to complain about stomach problems. He had him for about three days. He's like, I'm having like pain in my stomach. His food wasn't digesting. So he was all bloated. And you know, to go to the doctor, at least for me, we never went to the doctor. And if we did, like, something had to be falling off. And to go to the doctor because you have a stomach ache, it must be real bad. Yeah. So then they go and they do the endoscopy, which they stick the tube down. Bro, can you imagine the first time that somebody saw maybe at Cockeridge? It's like Facebook. To face to face with the cockroach.
Starting point is 00:52:53 Because it's also like there's no way that's a cockroach. You're like, Dr. Chuck, come here. Am I? Is there any chance that that, oh my God. And to me, I'm surprised it stays alive because don't you digest things? Like, doesn't it break it down? I don't know if the breakdown. Or like anything acidic might kill it.
Starting point is 00:53:11 I don't know what a cockroach. They say a nuclear bomb doesn't kill a cockroach. You can't kill one. You're right. You spray with rain and it still keeps on moving like ha. After discovering the live bug inside the patient's body, the team of doctors decided to remove it using an endoscope with two channels, one for the water infusion and one for the suction. So basically they were shooting fire hose into one and sucking it out of the other.
Starting point is 00:53:30 That does not feel good. Hopefully the guy was asleep. Yeah, because that sounds terrible. I was asleep during mine. I didn't wake up. Did you wake up during yours? Colonoscopy? Yeah. Yeah, the first one I ever got. The last one, I didn't. But yeah, I think I was in college at the time. So I was really young and very scared to go do it. and I look up on the screen and I can see the insides of my bodies and I hear them talking about it. I'm like, oh, I'm like, oh, I remember because you're sedated and you wake up and you're all loopy loop. It's like the dentist. And I remember, I can remember asking the doctor, do you get mad if people don't clean themselves before this?
Starting point is 00:54:06 You're supposed to do a total cleanse. No, no, I'm talking about clean though. Oh. Like clean. The cleanse, yes, but clean. I know, I just figured you're getting cleaned out. But that doesn't mean you clean after the cleanse. He means externally clean.
Starting point is 00:54:19 That means like, why? Oh my gosh, what did he say? I was drunk, I don't know. I just remember, I think my wife was near when I asked that question and she was like, what's that? Why did you ask that? I asked if he preferred if people shave their butts. Oh. Be like in there.
Starting point is 00:54:34 I'm sure so makes it easier. Yeah. Yeah. She was like, what are you doing? And I was like, I'm curious. I just want to know. They said the cockroach went down because he was asleep and he probably had his mouth open. and it went in and just took a little magic carpet ride.
