Starting point is 00:02:54 Finn.com. Own the dream. Hey, welcome to Tuesday show. Morning, studio. Morning. Eddie brought this to my attention. Eddie, you can tell the show about this. Yeah, I'm just on TikTok again. And this Katie Offerman, I guess she's an artist, she pops up, and she's listening to the Bobby Bone Show. I think it's your top 30 countdown.
Starting point is 00:03:25 And she's listening, and it's a whole spotlight on her. And she's got it turned up, and she hears your, it's your voice going, Katie Offerman, her whole bio, where she's from. And this is her song. And you can see pure joy in her face. and excitement because she's hearing her whole story on the radio. And I'm wondering, I'm like, Bones, do you know, like, what you're doing to these people? Like, this is her- That's not bad, dude.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Well, no, no, this is like her life's work all coming on the radio, and she's so happy just to hear your voice. Well, that's exciting. I haven't heard the clip. So here is Katie Offerman. She's listening to my countdown on the weekends. It's a national show, and every week I get to select an artist and spotlight them. And I think she has a cool story, and she's a great artist. but here is Katie Offerman's TikTok.
Starting point is 00:04:08 From our spotlight artist of the week, her name is Katie Offer. She is from New Bromphals, Texas. She grew up on a horse ranch. She started playing piano when she was four, which is crazy, then violin, and then accordion after that, she joined a polka band when she was 11. She started touring around Texas, and then she went to the Berkeley College of Music. She said, this next song is our first real song. It's from Katie Offerman.
Starting point is 00:04:32 It's called Happy Landshend. It's right. It's right. I get chills, man. That's pretty cool. I got chills watching it. I did not think that I was going to be, have any sort of reaction to other than that's really cool.
Starting point is 00:04:46 But like my scalp got a little chilly. Yeah. It was good. I mean, you just got to think, like, this is a huge accomplishment for them. They're on the radio and for them to capture it and then listen. And I see you, you know, recording these here in the studio. I'm like, I wonder if Bobby's just reading this or do you realize what, like, how much joy it brings them?
Starting point is 00:05:04 I do not realize it. I think I've become jaded. I still am looking out for new artists, but I do it so often that it's just another day, but it takes things like that to kind of remind me how cool it is. So I'm glad you brought that up. Yeah, man. Filing your taxes does not have to be difficult.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Start for free at taxact.com, where you can get expert help with no appointment required. Your maximum refund is guaranteed. Go to taxact.com for guaranteed details. Taxact.com. Let's open up. the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:05:40 It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. I listen to your show every morning. I love the mailbag segment. For the last six months, I've been thinking about writing to you. So, to start off, my wife and I got married last May. We had a beautiful wedding.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Everything was perfect. About a month later, with no drama in between. We were out to dinner with my family. My sister had too much to drink. And ultimately, my sister ended up. up slapping my wife in the face in the back of my truck and said some very hurtful things. I was furious. I pulled over, I told her to get out of the car. She tried to fight me and then ultimately ended up getting out. I drove the rest of my family home. We were all shocked.
Starting point is 00:06:23 My new wife mortified. We're a close family. We do love each other. It's been seven months and I still haven't spoken to my sister. She's not reached out. She's not apologized to me or to my wife. have no intention of speaking to her unless she does. Do you think I should reach out and forgive her, or should I wait for an apology? She has pulled stuff in the past, and I don't want to forgive her and make her think her behavior is okay. I also value family greatly, and I don't want to completely abandon her. She needs help, but I don't know if I'm in a place to help her. Thank you for listening, sincerely hurting brother.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Yeah, that's dramatic. Your sister hits your wife or your mom hit your, anybody hitting anybody in the family. Yeah, that's hard. Yeah, that's tough. I always look for phrases in the email that are heavier than others. And the phrase that I've pulled from this one is, I value family greatly and don't want to completely abandon her. I feel like that outweighs every other word inside of this. Yeah, that's dramatic. There's always going to be dramatic stuff that happens. There's always going to be great stuff that happens. There's always going to be terrible stuff that happens. And you're going to get through the stock market of life up and down and up and down and up and down.
Starting point is 00:07:30 And it's always going to go up and down. But what's not always going to go up and down is that, that you have a family and you must stick with them through times that are tough. If you value family greatly, I don't know that you go to her and just go, hey, you know what? I understand and I forgive you. I do think you can reach out to her and open that door for her to come back and talk with you. She might have a problem. I think he alludes to that. Like, she alludes, yes, but I'm not going to say that here.
Starting point is 00:07:59 I'm saying not, I don't know if it's a rage problem, a drinking problem. I don't know what the problem is. Yeah. but I think you could be understanding that it's something greater than her just acting out it's something greater than her just going I don't feel like I like it and I'm going to react because I don't feel like that's what happened I feel like she probably has something bigger that is happening within her that you could probably help her I think she probably needs the help and the forgiveness but not this the hitting that's going to fix it
Starting point is 00:08:33 itself once the bigger problem is addressed. So I think you owe it to your sister because you said, I value family greatly. You owe it to your sister to reach out to her and it's not going to be comfortable. But remember, we only grow when it's uncomfortable. She has to want to do it, but I think you can help her help herself and then you can fix this problem with your wife. That's going to be my advice there. Anything you'd like to add, Amy? Yeah, I mean, I think reaching out is okay. You still, you may have to have some boundaries put in place. But yeah, behavior like, that there's always something behind it that's so much bigger and for her you're a close family so for her to know that you're there for her it could be a game changer and but still have boundaries especially out
Starting point is 00:09:16 of respect for your wife well and i don't know that you start with boundaries especially when you address this if it's with her and it's bigger i don't think you even talk about boundaries i think you reach out and you go hey listen we can talk about that at a later point but i'm checking on you because i think there there are things that we can work on together that can help you if you want it. Yeah, I don't think the, I don't, I'm not implying that the boundary conversation has to be with her. You yourself and your wife, you maybe need to talk about what you're going to, like how far are you going to go and what are you going to do? You don't have to have a conversation about the boundaries with the sister. You can even put up on the electric fences for dogs and boundaries. That's a real
Starting point is 00:09:47 they don't even know, but they have anything on their necklace and they run the dozen. Yes, that's exactly it. You love your family. You need to reach out to her. You don't have to go groveling, but just let her know, hey, if you're going through stuff, I want to help you. Make her feel like you're being warm and welcoming, and then that will get fixed, hopefully, later, the actual hitting. But that's not the real issue. The issue is what's happening with your sister. All right, thank you for the email. That's what's up. Close it up. We've got your email and we read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Now it's about to close Bobby's Mailpack. Yeah. There's something for everyone on Discovery Plus. Starting point is 00:10:39 She sits in this same room. She's not always on the air, but she's always here. But she has something she liked to bring to the studio now. Morgan, what has happened here that you wanted to come on the air and talk about it? Well, I have a complaint because lunchbox is very gross and lazy. Oh, wow. Right, right for it. What does I do?
Starting point is 00:10:57 Oh, Eddie. You don't even know why. sums them right up. I don't even know what I did. And Eddie's already like, yeah, okay, what did I do this time? Okay, Morgan, I'm curious to hear what's up? Well, water at our studio is like a hot commodity, okay? Like water bottles, everybody brings their own because there are not water bottles here, right?
Starting point is 00:11:12 Well, we're sitting in the glass room. Lunchbox apparently had just eaten a donut and his hands were sticky and decided to use Abby's water bottle she had sitting brand new and use it to pour over his hands to wash his hands in the trash can in the glass room. when he could have just walked to the bathroom to wash his hand right down the hall. So Abby bought a bottle of water. Yes. Walked away and lunchbox used that to wash his hands.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Yes. And then he put it back and never told her. So Abby had water gone and she's like, I don't even know why it's gone. Lunchbox? I mean, that's all a true story. I mean, I didn't know anybody was noticing. Look, I had sticky hands from a donut.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Why can you walk to the bathroom? Or the kitchen. There's only a certain amount of time when a song is playing that I have time to be in there, eat a donut, and get back in here. He was running out time. Saw some water and I was like, hey, no one's drinking that water. Let me unscrew the cap.
Starting point is 00:12:04 It was sitting literally where Abby sits. Right, but she was not drinking it at that time. Well, it wasn't in her mouth, but she went to the bathroom. It was unopened, too. This is a brand new water. You unopened it. And then Abby came back and was like, why is my water open? No, she didn't ask me because I was back in the studio.
Starting point is 00:12:19 You split it. You unsealed it to wash your hands. I poured a little bit on my right hand, rubbed my hands together, dried them on my pants. came back in here, did the show. Not a big deal. Not a big deal at all. It's a little bit of water. Is it? Is Abby still alive? She's still kicking? Is that how you know if it was okay? She was going to die? That's what I'm saying. She's not dehydrated or anything. That water didn't really go to waste. That's pretty lazy. That's pretty lazy. That's probably pretty lazy, but it was. And also, I consider her of Abby. She paid for that water. Oh, no. Hold on. I thought you were going to say creative thinking.
Starting point is 00:12:53 You saw a problem and you solved that problem. You're like, what resources do I have? And he stole. Morgan, Oh, now I stole. No, I'm just like, I just want to make sure people realize that the bathroom is maybe five steps away.
Starting point is 00:13:07 And there's also hand sanitizer in the hallway that he could have used. There's plenty of other options. Hand sanitizer does not take away stickiness. Yeah, it will. If you put enough in front of it. Isn't that on the quarter? Isn't it on a quarter of that quote?
Starting point is 00:13:20 Hand sanitizer does not take away sticky. I'm just telling you. So thank you, Abby, for the water. I don't know what I can tell him He is who he is Yeah there's another one That's not cool I'm just saying that's not cool
Starting point is 00:13:35 We'll just leave it at that That's not cool Okay so it's like saying Amy's cup I couldn't just like pour a little piece of ice out of there And use it to wash my hands She's drinking out of it right now No no If she gets up and goes to the bathroom
Starting point is 00:13:46 And it's still drinking it No no not dig your hands No no not dig I turn the cup It's not yours don't touch it It's not yours don't touch it It's not yours don't touch it Some of my coffee would spill out And I'd be irritated
Starting point is 00:13:54 It's not yours don't touch it Okay I may I'd reach in and grab a piece Okay. Okay. But this is what we deal with. Here in the morning. He's dirty, gross. And lazy.
Starting point is 00:14:03 What is she say? Oh, gross, lazy. And a thief. Oh, GLT. Okay, Amy, how do you feel about this? Some Colorado high schools are doing away with valedictorians because all students can learn at high levels and learning is not a competition. Thoughts before I read you more about this. I don't, I mean, I guess it's so weird to me that I'm not feeling it right now, but I'm not totally closed off to it.
Starting point is 00:14:27 but I think someone should be able to be the smartest in the class. Here's my argument is I don't think the valedictorian is the smartest. Oh, okay. Well, that's true. I wasn't valedictorian and I was a smart. Oh my gosh. Is that why? It's very personal.
Starting point is 00:14:42 But you are. If you're valedictorian, you're sort of deemed the smartest. Here's why I would say that I agree with this, because this is not a participation trophy type story. This to me is the same thing as college is going, we're not going to base everything on your SAT or SAT. Okay. Because they're now going, there are other things.
Starting point is 00:14:57 that we value to get into college other than just a standardized test. We are now seeing that learning can be done by all kinds of people in all different ways. And sometimes if you have a learning disability, you are not eligible for these. And if you want to have different awards, heck, I don't even care if you have valedictorians, but I'm saying I don't think people should be angry at this school for trying something new. Because let's say they do this and they find out that, wow, everybody's like 13% smarter where everybody does a little bit better now that they're not competing.
Starting point is 00:15:28 And also, how do you get a 4.9? All that stuff's stupid too. Well, they got a 4.6. AP. 4 is the top. Yeah. Yes. It just gets too weird.
Starting point is 00:15:40 Who in here took AP classes? I did. In high school? Eddie, you did. Yeah? They let me in a couple of them. They sure did. They let you.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Not the hard ones. Not like a math or English. I didn't. I did. When I graduated from high school, I think I had about 13 hours, maybe 15 hours of college credit already because I was going to the local community college and taking classes. Now, almost none of those classes transferred was stuck because they had nothing to do with what I was doing. But I did and it was fine.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Yeah, that's awesome. I also don't think you need to go to college if what you're doing is not something that you need to go to college for. But I'm cool with this. A school district in Colorado has plans to do away the valedictorian starting in 2026. They will not give the single recognition to the student with the high school. its grade point average. I don't even mind that. I don't even mind that. So that's implemented like this year because I'm thinking about some valedictorians that I know, they started striving for that like eighth, ninth, tenth grade. And so then you're on the path to be valedictorian and
Starting point is 00:16:41 then all of a sudden your school that you're at is like, oh, we're not doing it. Well, that's why 2026, it's four years from now. All right. Good. So the kids that have already started can still be on the path. Okay, gotcha. And if I'd have been valedictorian, I think I'd hate it this story. I'm to be honest to me. Yeah. I'm completely up front. Right. I do like schools that are challenging the norm,
Starting point is 00:16:59 and hopefully we grow because of it. Your personal data is always at risk of being stolen. Cyber attacks are evolving. They're more elaborate than ever. Starting point is 00:18:03 Come on! It's time for the good news. With Producer Eddie. Have you ever heard of Christmas in March? Well, it happened in Colorado because back in Christmas, the real Christmas, there was a fire that took out thousands of homes. I mean, thousands of people lost their homes,
Starting point is 00:18:20 and they couldn't celebrate Christmas properly. So a church in Colorado just last week celebrated a second chance Christmas for all these people that lost their stuff. They had ornaments, stockings, toys, even Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus showed up. Oh, that's awesome. Pretty cool. They got to bust out the suit when it normally wouldn't get busted out. Right. It's probably hot.
Starting point is 00:18:40 Not thinking about that. Well, Colorado, though, still pretty cold. Yeah, that's true. But they probably had to bring things out from the attic and other people that had stuff. We just donated a lot of Christmas stuff. What do you mean? To what? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:18:52 We have it in the garage. We just have so much Christmas stuff. We donate a bunch of it. Like decorations and stuff? Yesterday. Oh, that's cool. It's just, nah, no present. What about your Christmas lights?
Starting point is 00:19:00 Are they still up? Still up? You're going to leave them up until April? We're looking like it. Wild. Have you ever heard of Christmas in April? I know. Ho, ho, ho.
Starting point is 00:19:08 It's going down at lunchbox's house. That's good. All right, Eddie. Great story. Love it for that town. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Welcome.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Let's check in on everybody. This is our segment called What's the Haps? Hey! What's the Haps? Well, what's happened with me is I have taken my phone, and the ringer's never on. It lives on silent. So what happens all day long is
Starting point is 00:19:34 that's text. And if it's text, it goes, or if it's email, it goes, and so I hear this all the time. Which is almost like having the phone on. So I've removed all. There is no vibration. You're going silent?
Starting point is 00:19:53 I've been silent now for four days. Whoa. I never know anything happens. But I'm on my phone so much. I don't miss it that often. But it's the greatest. I don't, if I sit on the couch chilling, I'm not always going to my phone when it makes noises.
Starting point is 00:20:06 I don't get phantom vibrations in my pocket anymore because it doesn't even vibrate. So I'm now living a life of no vibrations, no rings, no. I have no idea when I think. jabbing on my phone. You know when it's going to bite you in the butt is when we really need you. Like emergency. Hey, that's live, baby. Well, we'll figure it out. Hey, that's showbiz, baby. You can have, I think you could have, like, certain numbers that notify you. Don't want them. Okay. We can just text his wife, Amy.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Don't, hey, call her. She's on silent, too. No, she just doesn't care about her phone. She hates her phone. Back of her phone cases, something like, if my phone's dead, I'm alive. Something like that. She is the opposite of me in every way. So I'm living this life. I'll let you know when I miss something important. That's me. What's the haps, Amy? Hey. What's the hat? Well, so I had to go over to my Four Things podcast page to, like, look at something on where the reviews and stars are.
Starting point is 00:20:59 And I noticed a review. I don't like to go read these often, but one just stood out to me because there's right there, one star. Oh, you got a one star. The headline is, Amy, you are not a therapist. Amy, you're giving that. Oh, by the way, it's signed Lunchbox fan. Do you see that? Yes, I was going to bring that part up.
Starting point is 00:21:18 I thought you were joking. So literally, you know, I have to type in who you are. You create some username to leave a review and a comment. And yes, this person has signed themselves as lunchbox fan. Why they're attacking you probably. They put, Amy, you are giving bad advice to people. You are not a therapist. Do you think because you have a therapist on the show that you can chime in and tell people what to do,
Starting point is 00:21:39 especially on the big show, which is another clue to me that this person listens to the sore losers because they call the body bone show the big show. She goes, you were the first to blame, or this person said, You're the first to blame men for everything. It's clear you hate men. We get it. Stop acting like a therapist. Why do you think that's a she?
Starting point is 00:21:55 That sounds like a dude to me. I accidentally said she. But it's a lunchbox fan. And I'm irritated because they don't even listen to my podcast probably. And they put a one star, which totally brings down my rating, which is annoying. Well, then I think to be fair, you should have some of your fans go into Taxor Losers ratings. No. Whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:22:15 Whoa. That's a lunchbox fan. I don't have any fan. I know. I don't want to... Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine. I don't want to encourage that. But if people want to go give me a five-star to counter this, I'll take it.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Wow. Okay. Eddie, we're coming to you. What's the haps? Hey! What's the hats? You guys are probably wondering why I win Easy Trivia so much. Well, I know why the answer is.
Starting point is 00:22:37 Do you know why? Yeah. It's not because you're smart. I'll leave it there. Wait, what? Who's winning Easy Trivia right now? You are. You are.
Starting point is 00:22:44 You are. You are. Yeah, go ahead. Okay, but still. The other day when I lost, I was like, Oh my gosh. I don't know why, but I started reading on the Nile and the Nile River, because the question was, which's the longest river in the world? And it's the Nile. So on Amazon, ironically, there's a whole documentary on the Nile. Dude, I spend the whole weekend watching this documentary on the Nile and realize it's a very fascinating river. Like, not only is it the longest river in the world. Did you know that it rises the exact day every year and the level falls, the exact day every year? There's only been twice the entire exact. existence of the world that it did not, and it's in the Bible. Wow.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Crazy. Thanks for that. Yeah. So the documentary is in Amazon. I think it's called the Mystery of the Nile. Nobody cares. No one wants to watch that. You sound like such a loser right now.
Starting point is 00:23:29 It's actually not very good. But that's what I did. By the way, when I mean, I just mean you guys aren't that smart at trivia. No, we heard you. People are smart in different ways. I graduated top 50% of my high school class. 50, huh? Well, I'm not even trying to bring in any statistics on where I fell in school.
Starting point is 00:23:44 Why? Because never. However. However, I know that I'm smart, so I would like for you to not. You don't even have to say that. In different ways. You don't have to say it in your own way. What's that?
Starting point is 00:24:00 Lunch bucks, what's the abs? Man, you guys, I told you I had to join another soccer team this season because my team kind of kicked me off. And my team this season, we are not very good. Oh and five, haven't won a game. Morale is low. And I mean, every time we walk out of there, we feel like losers. But we got our first win. We got a win!
Starting point is 00:24:18 Yes! Oh my goodness, we're not going to be the laughing stock of the league now. Did you get to play? Yeah, I got to play. A lot? Yeah, I mean, a little bit. Like how much? Are you not the star of the team?
Starting point is 00:24:30 After y'all are already winning? No, no. Even the O and five team? No, no, I'm probably the best. Of? Yeah. On the O and five team, yeah. I mean, I definitely had two assists in the game. And, I mean...
Starting point is 00:24:41 They like you? I'm still not sure if they liked me. But let me tell you, I could tell it was good for morale of the team when we got that win, because instead of walking out with our heads hanging low and our hoods over our heads so no one would see us because, oh my gosh, we're 0 and 5. We're 1 in 5. Water!
Starting point is 00:24:56 There you go. Well, there you have it. That's what's the haps. Hey, what's the hats? That's what's happening with us right now. Thank you guys. Introducing the first ever Hyundai Ionic 5. This thing has all the tech you would ever want.
Starting point is 00:25:10 It's fully electric inside and out. Your journey at its most evolved. The Hyundai Ionic 5, extremely limited availability. Available in select states only. Contact your Hyundai dealer for availability details. Okay, so lunchbox confronted someone at a restaurant again. Do you know this story? I don't.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Okay. Lunchbox, take it away. So the family and I, we went out to eat at a little chicken place and we're sitting on the patio. It's a little casual place and we're eating. And there's a woman and I would say her husband, her boyfriend, sitting about two tables away. And she keeps pulling out her little stupid vape thing and blowing the vaping, you know, the smoke, vape, whatever you call it in the air.
Starting point is 00:25:50 and I guess we're downwind because every time she's blowing it, it goes across our table. Why you're eating. Why we're eating at a restaurant. And I'm like, okay, it's not a bar. It's not like we're at a club. We're at a restaurant. So I was like, I'm going over there.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Okay, hold on. Hold on. I feel awkward. So let me just, I want to visualize the scene. You're sitting outside. On a patio. On a patio. Downwind of a woman vaping eating dinner.
Starting point is 00:26:16 Yes. Boy, smoking and eating feels so 1980s. Well, they were. eating, they just had a couple beers. Okay. Well, now we know the environment. We had chicken. But he had kids with you?
Starting point is 00:26:27 Yeah, had the kids with me. So what kind of environment is it? Well, I was picturing a place where... Cheddars? No, but if it's a place where people sit on the patio and have a few beers, now I'm getting the vibe that maybe you can vape. That could be Applebee's. Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
Starting point is 00:26:41 It could be a Chili's or an Applebee's outside. Oh, they have outside seating? Yeah. Some. Yeah, it's literally a restaurant. You walk up to the counter, order your food, then they bring it out to you. Okay. Okay, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:26:50 And so I was like, that's it, I'm going over there. After the third time, I was like, I can't handle the vape smoke. And so I walk up to her and I said, hey, you know, we're kind of eating dinner over there. And every time you're doing this vape thing, the smoke or whatever is coming over there and getting on us, could you please maybe not do that? And she says, we're outside. If you got a problem with it, then you need to move. Oh, the vape thing.
Starting point is 00:27:16 So what did you do? Your reaction to that statement. I said, hey, we got kids. Can you be a little bit more, you know, accommodating? Like, show some, what do you call it? Grace? I said, because it's... Ryan, Grace wouldn't be the word there.
Starting point is 00:27:30 What do you call it? I said, passion. I said, whatever, I said, Grace, I said, you're being extremely rude, and I don't appreciate it. She goes, thank you for your, thank you. And then that's it. And I went back to the table and I was like, okay, I told my wife, I said, I'm going to get the manager. Were you heated? I was heated.
Starting point is 00:27:47 You know, I, I, did she have a dude? with her? Yes. And why didn't he step in and beat you up? No, he's just chill. He just chill. He didn't. Right, right. And so I was just like, I went back to my wife. She said it's our problem. If we're outside, she can do it. And I said, I'm going to get the manager. And my wife said, no, we'll just move inside. And I was like, I'm surprised that you didn't take your phone out and record her doing that. Well, I didn't want to start a fight with the kids. And so I just was nice with my wife. My wife saying we would move inside. I was just like, okay. and I went inside, and I talked about it for, you know, two days straight.
Starting point is 00:28:22 I mean, I just sat there and I was just like, oh, two days straight. So frustrated and so angry that I felt like she was so out of line. Okay, he's bringing it to the room. Yeah, who, are you team me or team vape? Well, it's hard to be team vape. I'm not team vape. I'm not team vape at all.
Starting point is 00:28:38 I'm not team vape at all. I'm going to call team outside eater or team lunchbox. Team, okay. I wish I knew the restaurant rules. I guess, what did he say the manager said? No, I didn't go to the manager. my wife goes, no, we'll just move inside. I will say this for you. I think
Starting point is 00:28:53 you did the right thing because the kids were there to just move and continue the day and be mad later. Because I would not have been able to do that. I don't think I would have been able to keep my cool in that situation. Amy. I just move.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Who side are you on? I'm on team. Are you team vape? I'm team. I'm team vape because I'm not team vape. Listen, I'm not team vape, but it is outside, so they do have that. So I would probably just move inside and not make a big deal about it. Therefore, I'm folding. I'm almost giving the vapor grace. I'm not team vape because that doesn't mean you have, just because you're outside doesn't mean you have the right to affect other people's eating.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Like you're outside because you enjoy it. You can't just do stuff that affects other people eating. But unless the restaurant has rules against the- Well, they may have. I don't know. I have no idea. There's no sign that says no. smoking at our restaurant. If someone comes up, just walk over to the edge and do that so you're not blowing it on people. You don't have the right to ruin other people's dining experience just
Starting point is 00:29:58 because you're outside. I don't know why they wouldn't just accommodate that request. Yeah, or just move on the other side of us where the wind is blown, you know what I mean? Like, there was no one on the other side of us, so just move over there. Yeah, just because you're outside, you don't have full rights to do anything you want. Eddie? This is tough, but I'm going to go team lunchbox. Yes! Team Lunchbox, because look, me too. Just because you're outside, you're affecting other people trying to eat.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Like if somebody was cursing, same thing. Yeah, you can't just let off stink bombs. Exactly. You can't just do stuff that affects other people sitting next to you. And the vape was affecting his family, so I'm on his side. Wow. I guess I'm the only one that's like. Amy pulls out of vape.
Starting point is 00:30:35 I do not vape and I would not be happy with the vaping, but I would just, yeah, I wouldn't, I'd be like, well, I guess they get to do it. I just don't know the rules. It would be like if there were a dog. You get to have the dog, but if the dog is peeing, peeing. Correct. Well, we're outside, even though it's peeing over here by our tape. And dogs are allowed.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Okay, so Eddie brought up cussing. So if someone's telling a story at the table next to you and you've got kids and someone's being really loud and kind of vulgar, but it's like their table and their story. Yeah, you can't, you shouldn't do that. Yeah, you can't give it inside or outside. You shouldn't do that. I know.
Starting point is 00:31:08 She'll let a manager know. But, but I mean, they. Now she's on Team Curse. I just saw her right. I'm not. My dad used to get up and go tell him, I have kids. over there, so just quiet with that cursing. And they'd be like,
Starting point is 00:31:19 old man. I would see this with my eyes. I hated it. Morgan, you on Team Vap or Team Lunchbox? I just got to commit to Team Vabe. I mean, Team Lunchbox is my bag. I think I'm with Amy on Team Vave and that I just would go inside and avoid. Because the reality is so many people do it now
Starting point is 00:31:36 that like... And it's fine to do it, but move... If you want to do it, make sure it's not blown over the people, the baby's faces. I know, but it just happens so often. I feel like I would just like be like it's on me to move inside and take care of my kids instead of having them all Yeah you know what else happens often murder okay we don't allow that because it happens often Every day in the news there's a murder okay
Starting point is 00:32:00 A little much like what? Ray I don't understand team vape or team lunchbox I'm team vape all the way It's almost impossible to smell those vapes really but he did and it was and the smoke was Yeah you see it it's coming who I'm telling you, yeah. No way, man. Team Lunchbox lost. Wow, I can't believe it.
Starting point is 00:32:21 It's tied. No, it's three. Well, he doesn't get a vote. Oh, he doesn't? Okay. Was it the actual scenario that lost, or just the fact that it was a lunchbox? I voted for this scenario. I could separate the art.
Starting point is 00:32:29 Oh, I can totally separate it. All right, lunchbox, well, you lost, so feel bad about yourself. I lost a vaid. I've been with Car Shield for years. It's a no-brainer. Why? They make it easy and affordable to protect my car from expensive car, repairs. Go to carshield.com
Starting point is 00:32:46 slash bones or 800391-88888 to save 10% on your plan. A deductible may apply. Amy, who's the messiest person in your house? Oh, probably Stevenson. Your son? Yeah, he's 11 and just is not into
Starting point is 00:33:03 picking things up. Eddie? The baby 100%. I mean, gosh, he makes a mess of the whole house. How? Just leaving things. You place with something, leaves it behind, grabs things. Oh, that's fun. Leaves it there and goes, oh, let me go play with that. And next So you know, the whole house is dirty. In our house, it's obviously, Katie.
Starting point is 00:33:18 You. Oh. It's me. Yeah, right. Yeah. It's for sure me. It's usually kids. Then at number two, the man of the house.
Starting point is 00:33:24 And at number three, why? And no animals could be considered. Oh, yeah. It's still me, though. No, it's still me. As I think, it's still me. Here's a voicemail that we got last night. Hey, Amy.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Why did the otter cross the ocean to get to the other tide? Cute. The other tide. He wanted to make sure you heard him. Really put the oomph behind tired. Yeah. The Bible Bowl show. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:33:52 So a woman on TikTok recently shared a video of herself out to dinner. She had a bowl of pasta and then a glass of hot water next to it. Now, every time she goes out to eat, she requests this super hot water so she can dip her silverware in it and make sure that it's extra clean. It's interesting. Quarky. Mm-hmm. And I don't hate it. I didn't think you would.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Because hot water's free and she's doing something from her own health. So I'm okay with it. Yeah. I mean, people, of course, debated about it online and people think she's totally weird. But some people are like, hey, why don't you just bring your own silverware? And I was like, that's a good point. Now, that's crazy. When I go, I request a bucket and some don dishwashing liquid.
Starting point is 00:34:34 And I scrub the dishes. Then I eat. That doesn't look weird at all. Not at all. All right, what else? So speaking to TikTok, a mom shared on there that she's got four kids. tired of yelling for them to come down to dinner. So she installed some doorbells around her house so she can use them to call her kids down. They're about $15 a piece. And here's a clip of her
Starting point is 00:34:55 talking about it on her TikTok. Each of my four kids has a doorbell button in our kitchen and a chime plugged in in their bedroom. They're upstairs and we need them to come down. We simply click the button and the doorbell rings in their room. They also know to come down in the morning when their doorbell goes off. I mean, I think it's kind of genius. It sounds face. fancy and expensive, but when you break it down, it's really not. It just reminds me back in the day, like intercoms in each room. Some houses have those, or I'm sure some do now, but this is an easy, cheap way to do it. Well, in related news, Eddie's four kids, I'll have a dog shock collar on them. He shocks them whenever he needs them. Much cheaper than doorbells. Four boys, they need it.
Starting point is 00:35:32 And they move quick. They do. Just joking. By the way, we're kidding. That did not happen. All right, what else? Well, lastly, this guy in Seattle, he was protesting his low pay by moving into his cubicle to save on rent. He brought all... Can't do that. Ray tried that here. That's just why I mean to think of Ray. But he got all of his belongings, took him to work, slept under his desk for four days until HR caught wind. And then they told him, clear everything out,
Starting point is 00:35:57 delete all the videos you've been posting about this, or you're going to be fired. So he just quit instead. So it didn't quite really work out for him, but definitely reminds me of the time Ray lived at the station. Ray, how long did you live at work? It was like a week. My lease ended in the lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:36:11 No, it's more than that. I had my own office. Your mail. was sent here. It still gets sent here. You changed your mailing address to work. What's wrong with that? They do a great job of getting us our mail. Why would I not get it?
Starting point is 00:36:23 How long did you sleep here? It was a couple weeks. Okay, now it's already doubled. Don't you think it was a couple months? I think it was more in the month, a month and a half. Yeah. And he was living here. He was sleeping underneath. And it wasn't because he wasn't getting paid or he wasn't trying to do a funny TikTok or protesting. I think he was just lazy.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Yeah. And then where did you shower? Like at the gym? Yeah, yeah. I had a 24-hour spot, so I was always out Which was the 24 hour gym? Yeah. Yeah. He said a 24 hour spot. And then he moved in with his new
Starting point is 00:36:53 girlfriend. Yeah, I met her and then I lived downtown from then on out. Quickly too, huh? That was probably very soon. And now it's his wife. Was she attracted to the fact you lived at work? No, she's like I'll drop you off at your house. I got to get back to work. So he just dropped me off there? She was what, Ray? No, I mean, she thought it was a
Starting point is 00:37:09 rumor. And I always just kind of let her just think what she wanted to. There you have it. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay at home, it's something good.
Starting point is 00:37:25 There's a family in Florida. They're out on their boat in the Indian River, and they got their one-year-old dog. Jessica, a little corgi. On the boat. When all of a sudden they turn around, Jessica's gone. They can't find Jessica anywhere.
Starting point is 00:37:38 They start searching the waters. They spend 24 hours looking in the water. Can't find. and Jessica, they think, oh man, Jessica's a goner. They put posts on social media, and someone says, hey, this dog showed up in my backyard, and it swam seven miles from the middle of the river all the way to the shore up in someone's backyard. Awesome, they got their dog back.
Starting point is 00:37:59 There's just a big hole in this plot. If that dog was barking like that the whole time, like you showed us, they would have known how the dog went over. No, no, that's what I'm saying. They were going under a bridge, and it was barking, br-brach-wr-brk. and then when they got out from underneath the bridge, there was no more bark, and he looked down, Jessica was gone, and they don't know what happened.
Starting point is 00:38:15 They don't know if they hit a wave and it bumped, bounce they're off, but... You're just knowing when the barking stopped. I feel like he's making that bark out. Yeah, I do too. Yeah, plot hole. No, no, that's how the corgi's bark. Have you ever heard of corgi? They got that little yappy bark.
Starting point is 00:38:27 They're really annoying. That's awesome that dog survived. And the person that got the dog, they said, no thanks to the $500 reward. Wow. But, I mean, really, did they deserve a reward? The dog just showed up at their house. They didn't go out and find it.
Starting point is 00:38:40 Well, if it was offered, then yes, they deserved it. I would have. Yes, you would have. You would have? Yes, you would have. Yes, you're surprised, of course. I'm not, but then I just am like, really, though? It's so weird.
